Canyon Grill is a delightful dining destination that offers an upscale twist on American cuisine, featuring a menu filled with mouthwatering options like steak, pasta, and seafood. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between casual and refined, enveloped in warm colors that create an inviting atmosphere. Guests rave about their experiences here; many have returned for the consistently friendly service and impressive dishes.
Wow wow! Our first time visiting with two toddlers which they were so accommodating! Get the fried Mushrooms! The house salad is soo good with balsamic and end with the coconut cake. Absolutely fantastic all around. As a former chef, this was top notch food, service and atmosphere-the vibe is just perfect. We will be back!

Second time at Canyon Grill — still a great experience! This is my second time dining at Canyon Grill, and it was another great visit. The customer service is consistently friendly, and the food is just as impressive. I had the salmon — cooked good — and got to try a bit of the fried mushrooms, which were delicious. The salad was fresh and tasty too. Overall, a very satisfying experience. I'm giving it a 4/5 for now, only because I want to try more from their menu before giving a full 5 stars. Looking forward to coming back again soon

One of our favorites whenever we are near Chattanooga. Slash and Burn Catfish is amazing! Best coconut cake you'll find. My new discovery was the chocolate amaretto cake. Fantastic!!!
Stan G — Google review
Food was excellent. Service was spot on. They sat us in the left dinning room, but it was loud. They gladly moved us to the right dinning room and we enjoyed our visit. We thought there would be a view because of the address:).

Had the Johnny Three Fingers old fashioned, the 16oz Ribeye and the Strawberry Blue cheese salad. Steak was perfect medium just as I ordered.
Rich B — Google review
Canyon Grill is an absolute gem! We started with the fried mushroom appetizer — perfectly done with a light, crispy breading that had a great crunch without being soggy. The horseradish dipping sauce was the perfect compliment. For dinner, I had the grilled Gulf shrimp — jumbo, butterflied, and seasoned just right. The garlic mashed potatoes on the side were hot, creamy, and delicious. My wife ordered the almond roasted chicken with honey and she loved it. We couldn’t resist dessert and finished with the coconut cake and French press coffee — both outstanding and the perfect way to end the meal. The service was stellar, the food was top-notch, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. This is truly a hidden gem that feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere, but really, it’s in the perfect spot. Absolutely worth the drive. Highly recommend!

Restaurant
Cafe 136 offers a delightful dining experience with impeccable service, delicious food, and reasonable prices. The restaurant can accommodate larger groups without any issues. One minor drawback is not being able to try the entire menu. The owner is actively involved in the cooking process alongside his team. Located near Cloudland Canyon, Cafe 136 provides a pleasant and cozy atmosphere. The servers are friendly and attentive, offering a taste of Southern cuisine that will leave you satisfied.
Update: 9/8/24 Food still awesome, service still very nice but super slow on a Sunday. Food was awesome - homemade! Waitress kind but way overworked. We ate on the covered back porch. It was great!
Judy K — Google review
Great surprise! Fried catfish night was a big hit with all of us. The best was dessert: AMARETTO PIE! It's proudly made there and was incredible! 1 serving was enough for everyone - but I would go back there for another helping ANYTIME. Very nice server who gave great recommendations. (Photos of entire pie - i just had to see it! WOW)

We stopped for breakfast and it was perfect for us. Coffee was a smooth and hot. I got the bacon omelette with a biscuit. Biscuit was soft and yummy. Hubby got the Lookout breakfast with biscuits and gravy, and there was nothing left in his plate.everything was good. Can’t wait to come back for dessert. They have pies 😳

This place is perfect for breakfast, especially when you're out riding your motorcycle. We came here based on Google reviews. The waitress was super attentive, even though there were a lot of us, and she treated us all with kindness and respect, and that captivated all of us bikers. We hope to return next year.
Vicent L — Google review
We stopped on our way out from camping at Cloudland Canyon. Our server was a young woman who was very attentive. The food is very reasonably priced. We saw they offer family meal options too - just call ahead. We enjoyed the old photos on the walls too.
Rachelle M — Google review
One of the best philly cheese steak sandwiches I have had! The crinkle fries were just right also! My wife had the grilled chicken salad and it was huge and the two deviled eggs were a delicious surprise! Service was quick and friendly! Highly recommend!
Steven M — Google review
Up here for a week for vacation. Read the reviews, went to some shops and heard it really good. We all went for breakfast. Took server a while to get to the table. She was nice but she said she didn’t eat any of the stuff we asked about. Got pancakes and they were so dry when we cut into the they just crumbled. Hash brown were nothing but grease. Like from all the others meats they had cooked. Paid $70+ for 4 people and it wasn’t good at all except for the biscuits. Wouldn’t go back there if I really had to.
Ashlie S — Google review
This quaint little cafe is located just a little ways down the road from Cloudland State Park. A cute little place with good ol country cooking & friendly service. We chose the meat & two sides and were completely satisfied with the taste and quantity of food. It might not look like a lot of food but were we stuffed.

3Lookout Mountain Pizza Company

Pizza restaurant
Lookout Mountain Pizza Company is a must-visit for pizza enthusiasts. Their menu features a variety of pizzas made from scratch, including sourdough, Neapolitan, and regular crusts. The dough is perfectly chewy with a slight crispiness and small air bubbles in the crust. Toppings are well-seasoned and generously portioned.
We went here for dinner last night. Had the Maria pizza, arugula salad, and ciabatta bread with marinara. Excellent food! Amazing flavor and we really loved the wood fired style cooking. One the best pizzas we've had in a long time! Definitely will eat there again when in the area!
Karena T — Google review
A great place for oven fire pizza. Flavors were great and came out very hot. Seating is a little limited but we were served quickly. If you hike the canyon, it is a nice place to stop on your way home.
Matthew M — Google review
Its hard to find wood fire pizza joints, and especially hard to find them in remote locations and making a good pie. Their dough is fairly thin and with a good chew, their pizza sauce is really good and worth getting an extra side for dipping. If I could offer any suggestions it would be offering more menu items, and the price is a little high. These pizzas aren't huge and at roughfly $20 a pie, its pricey. Definitely not a pizza joint for feeding a family.
Jeremy E — Google review
Amended: I do have to recognize the owner for reaching out, aplogizing, and refunding me in full. It didn't meet his standards and he was accountable. 👏🏻 Outrageous. Coming from a New Yorker $17.50 for a tiny pizza with minimal ingredients. This would be an upscale price in NYC but worse quality. Def overpriced, especially for where it is. Pizza came with "garlic" and was just garlic powder. Also skimped on the grilled onions. The ingredients are mediocre at best. Only positive it was decently tossed and cooked.
Shane O — Google review
Really good pizza, was warm inside the building. No fountain drinks on single serve cans. Wood fired taste is the attraction for me.
Clint J — Google review
We woke up to a downpour rainy day at Cloudland Canyon, so decided to go grab some pizza at Lookout. Small little building with a wood oven. It is a BYOB place, so got a coke and ordered a Sophia and two Popes for the four of us. The pizzas were delicious and we ate almost all but 2 pieces to take back to the campsite. Of the two pizza, I would pic the Pope with the three meats that soaked into the crust. Highly recommend this pizza place if you are in the area and sit on the outside porch if the weather is nice.
St C — Google review
Their pizzas are fantastic. This is a somewhat limited menu as there aren’t pastas or other selections but if you are in the mood for pizza this is the place. We loved the outdoor setting and there was live acoustic music.

Canyon Quick Stop is a delightful spot to grab a meal, especially if you're in the Cloudland area. While there may be a bit of a wait for your food, patrons agree that the delicious offerings make it well worth it. The atmosphere has been brightened and opened up under new ownership, creating an inviting space where friendly service awaits you.
The have a fabulous grill! Great burgers, fries and chicken tenders. Fun to bring kids after a morning exploring the mountain! The owners are so nice and professional! Great prices!

Stopped in to get some lunch. Had to wait quite a while for the food but it was worth the wait. It was so good. Will definitely get lunch here again if in the area while working. Most of the exterior and interior is the same a the previous owners had it but the big change that I welcome is that it’s brighter and more open. The new owners are nice and welcoming.
Jessica K — Google review
Horrible food. Spicy chicken sandwich was So Salty and dry as a bone, onion rings were cold and greasy. Upset my stomach. For this price do yourself a favor and go to the Cafe next door.
Masha E — Google review
Im gonna give you the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good: The family that runs the Canyon Quick Stop is friendly and polite. The dining area serves fresh cooked grill food items and offers a seating area for folks to sit down and enjoy a warm meal. The owners seem like decent people. The bad: The parking lot and the gas/diesel pumps.. I dont know if this is an Indian thing or what, but many service station stores Ive been to that are owned and operated by Indian folks seem to always have very rough, pot-holed, broken-to-pieces parking lots. The Canyon Quick Stop is no exception. This particular store is also due for a gasoline/diesel pump upgrade..Maybe fifty years due. The ugly: the bathrooms. Once again, this seems to be a common theme with the Indian franchises. I don’t know if it’s a matter of having been accustomed to another standard elsewhere in the world, but in the U.S. its considered good business to have a well made, smooth parking lot and a clean restroom for the public you serve. Overall it’s an ok pit-stop, not at all great. It doesn’t have to be. It’s the only option you have on Hwy 136 at the top of Lookout Mnt.
B. S — Google review
If you are looking for local craft beers like I was, come here! Great selection compared to the local area.

We own a vacation home on Lookout Mt. not far from here, and whenever we are visiting, we make it a point to grab lunch at the quick stop grill. Missy makes the best hamburgers in Dade County!

The Creag at McLemore offers an unparalleled setting atop Lookout Mountain, with breathtaking views and a constantly changing seasonal menu. The cuisine is superb, ranging from delicious burgers to exquisite salads like the field greens with smoked chicken. Highly recommended for both casual dining and entertaining guests, this mountain top restaurant provides excellent service and delectable food. With attentive staff members like Janie and Taylor, the experience is always top-notch.
Made reservations at five for when they first open. Had place to ourselves and choice pick of seating. Decided to celebrate anniversary here after researching several places. Beautiful place and location inside and out. The restaurant shares same building as a golf pro shop and club house restroom. This locker room has all the amenities, couch,tv,frig.and everything you need when you get out of the shower to shave, brush teeth and smell good. I was simply amazed by the level of comfort I felt by this service they provided. The restaurant was just as inviting, warm, elegant and comfortable. Our waitress Meg was a pleasant joy to serve us. We had a couple of appetizers, our dinners and then desert which were all very delicious. The warm interior was supplied by the roaring fire place. The outside view of golf course and mountains was competing with the gorgeous setting of the inside .Definitely enjoyed being only ones in there . So reserve early because it filled up as we was leaving.

Celebrating 2 in 1 My B-Day & mother's Day.. The service at restaurant was Awesone! I got a great time. The Manager @ night name Jacob is excellent!" The staff is polite and attentive, going above and beyond to provide a wonderful eating experience. Definitely recommended. Thanks 😊
Ms. M — Google review
Loved our time at the Creag. The view is excellent, and the steak was made to perfection. I ordered the rib eye, a little pricey but you do get a great portion and it is what you’d expect in a place like this. My wife ordered the chicken with pesto pasta and it was also wonderful. Portions are quite big so if you are not that hungry, you can easily share. We nearly took half of our food home. The resort offers shuttles to the hotel and common area. It’s a great place to hang out, grab a drink and enjoy the view.
Henry G — Google review
I stopped by The Creag in North Georgia last night while traveling to visit family friends, and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was amazing! I started with the house soup, which was delicious, and then had the veal chop. The portion was huge and cooked perfectly! I also tried one of their cocktails, and it was really tasty and well-balanced and refreshing. Our waitress was wonderful and super friendly, attentive, and clearly great at her job. The whole experience felt relaxed but elevated at the same time. Definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone passing through the area or looking for a great meal in North Georgia!
Jared S — Google review
We really enjoyed our visit to The Creag at McLemore. Our waitress was great, super helpful, and friendly. Our meal was fantastic, and you can't beat the view! I recommend trying their hushpuppies and cioppino, so yummy!
Adrienne F — Google review
It's a beautiful place, and our food was excellent. We had veal, trout, tenders, and a chocolate chip cookie for dessert.
Dave C — Google review
Went for lunch and probably the best thing I had was one of their signature cocktails. The mussels lacked in spice and flavor, you could see the slices of peppers, but no heat was infushed into the broth. The special, "smoked chicken salad sandwhich", was another sad let down. I know they have a smoker out back, but it wasn't lit; so either it was smoked earlier in the week or they used regular chicken salad and added liquid smoke. Regardless, the only reminessence of smoke was the description on the menu. Lets move on to the blackened fish sandwhich, again not sure if the chef is afraid of bold flavors but this was flat at best. If you have a blackened protein AND horseradish tartar sauce and you don't feel any residual kick or spice, then you need to probably tweak something. The view and cocktails amazing, I just wish the food could match.

Nestled in the heart of Dade County, Cornerstone Restaurant is a delightful find that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This charming eatery, resembling a cozy redwood home, offers a warm and inviting atmosphere reminiscent of Sunday dinners at Grandma's. Guests rave about the juicy cheeseburger and the standout sides like crispy tots and flavorful okra. Don't miss out on their Italian Cream Cake—it's said to taste like it came straight from an old-fashioned bakery!
We stopped here for lunch on our road trip and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the blackened catfish. The owners were super nice and the service was great. If you’re in the area, you should definitely stop by!

Absolutely amazing southern/home cooking ! The cornerstone burger was a work of art and The lemon pie was to die for, not to mention how at home the owners and staff made us feel ! We will be returning in the near future ☺️
Celeste D — Google review
A hidden gem of Dade County! In my opinion, it is the best restaurant in the area. I have been looking at the reviews for a bit and decided to try it out. The cheese burger was juicy and taste amazing. The tots and okra were the best I have had, and the Italian Cream Cake was the best Ever!! The cream cake taste like it came from an old fashion bakery and was so much better than what some of the local chains and stores have. Additionally, what made it the best was the service. The folks are so friendly and helpful. They shared that they do yea parties and character events. When this COVID-19 mess let’s up, I will be taking my kids there to enjoy. Please don’t hesitate, visit, or at least call in an order and pick it up!
Chad B — Google review
Real home cooking. Small but wonderful view. Service was friendly and very helpful.
Dena G — Google review
If you are ever in the area this is a must stop spot! If your tired of the same old chain restaurants, or the bougie impersonal downtown dining, and instead have found yourself missing, or searching, for that downhome familier afteroon aroma, that nap on a porchwing, Sunday dinner at Grandmas kind of meal. You know your search is over when you turn into the parking lot (or driveway rather) that sits in front of this simple red wood home charading as a restaurant. With its covered wood front porch, the wind chimes and nik nacs placed in no particular arrangement, and that soft quiet you only get in the south; Penny and Kent welcome you in as you are to rest your bones and feed your old soul. Any review you read you will find Amazing things being said about the food, owners, environment, and prices. Praises that repeat across all the experiences people have shared. Kent doesn't pretend about the fact that his Cornerstone restaurant caters to a certain character of people and the occasional wanderlust couple on a journey of nostalgia (me and my man), it wasn't ever ment to be a "popular" spot or the type of place that offers matching coffee cups and displays a "please wait to be seated" sign. It's where the simple southern man can hang his hat, where the famished farmer can rest his calloused hands and get a meal who wants needs to somethin that smells like his mama cooked it, and where the "Hangry" trucker can finally eat a meal made from love not preservatives. You will not just leave with a full belly if you go visit Penny and Kent's Cornerstone restaurant, you walk out with memories, an experience worth sharing, and a feeling that you are leaving somewhere very special and near extinct. Please mention to Kent that you stopped in after reading some reviews on Google Maps, he didn't even know past patrons wrote about his place, let alone that they spoke so lovingly and positively about their experiences.

We had pulled pork which was great. The baked beans were not hot but the other sides were good. Service wasn't great but they were short staffed. She was hustling to take care of everyone. And they were friendly and welcoming. We'll be back next time we're in the area.

The menu had a good variety of interesting choices. To start, we had the smoky mac n cheese and lump crab hush puppies. The mac and cheese was just ok until you got one of the rare pieces of bacon, which really elevated the flavor. The lump crap hush puppies are a little harder to describe. They were definitely not the consistency of a traditional hush puppy...they were softer? More moist? For my main course, I had the flat-iron steak. The steak was just ok. I would have appreciated a more seasoned meat. The chimichurri was not enough to elevate the flavor for me. We also had the beef short ribs with grits. This seemed an interesting pairing, but was actually pretty tasty with the vinegrette reduction. We ate outside and the temperature was for the most part very nice. It actually started to get a little chilly later on in the night. The mountain view while dining was picturesque and made the experience that more enjoyable. Definitely recommend. We also dined here for brunch and had the French Toast. This entree was a miss for me. The menu suggested that the bread was "thick-sliced" brioche, but the slices seemed quite thin to me. The flavor of the french toast was quite good, but I'm not a fan of a more custardy textured toast. It rings as soggy to me. I understand there are those who like this, but it's just not my preference. I would order again. Overall, the experience was great and the food was ok. If the food was on par with the experience, it would be perfect.

I absolutely loved my experience at Croft! The ambiance is upscale but comfortable. The bartenders, Nicole and Kindle, were so friendly from the time I arrived to the time I left. Their skill at mixology showed through the drinks I was served. Their kale caesar salad was a flavorful take on a classic dish. I ordered the steak. The peppercorn crust provided a great texture and the sauce was a wonderful compliment to the dish. The views are outstanding. I would highly recommend spending some time here.

Service and food was great we ate breakfast and dinner here.breakfast was quiet and dinnner was a bit loud but still nice. The staff was great and the restaurant decor fits the hotel well. The food was great. I recommend the crab cake for an appetizer 😎. I had the chicken for dinner and my wife had the bison steak. Both prepared well. Breakfast was good with quick service.

Enjoyed our dinner at the Croft! Great service, atmosphere, food, but the views! Thank you to Trey, Marcus, Logan and Jacob who were all super attentive during our stay. Looking forward to our next trip to Cloudland!

Celebrated my wife’s birthday with a wonderful meal at Croft. Bison strip and tile fish were perfect! Reduction sauce on the strip was as good as any I’ve ever tasted. The chocolate ice cream bar we shared for dessert melted in our mouths. Espresso martini was spot on. The hit of the evening however, as is usually the case when you have a perfect night out, was the staff, in particular our server Victoria. The very best. There when we needed her without our ever telling her we needed her. How does that happen. A genuinely kind, professional young lady who became our friend in a matter of moments. Look forward to our next visit. Kudos to the chef and the kitchen staff! You folks really know what you’re doing.

Love this resort!! Breakfast was top notch Benedict and French toast! Jalapeño bacon was off the chain!! Enjoyed a great dinner tonight! We both had the Scottish salmon wrapped in country ham. Every part was spot on. Our server, Logan, was both friendly and knowledgeable with his recommendations! He would earn the 5 stars by himself! Then the strawberry shortcake to finish off a great dinner! The resort is peaceful and breathtaking. Such a great getaway! We will definitely be back. All the staff were incredible!

I had a delightful dinner at Croft at Cloudland the service was stellar, with Marcus and Logan offering wonderful recommendations. The Pink Clouds cocktail was amazing, and the views were simply breathtaking. Briley leads a fantastic team I will definitely be back! Food was immaculate! Highly recommend the Brick Roasted Chicken.

We had lovely little lunches here. They have a smaller menu of small dishes. Absolutely gorgeous view. Everything is served with sustainable to-go packaging. The servers were friendly and attentive. There was always an open table to stop in and admire the view.

Not a good experience at all. Our server was not making our experience any better. Very slow service, our server was not friendly at all and the menu is too expensive for a poolside cafe. Charged 16$ for a plain hotdog for kids! Oh, and valet only - and didn’t inform us that it would be $16 to park! Won’t be back to Skyside. Love McClemore but not this place.

Worst dining experience I have had in a long time. Service was slow, not accommodating, and overall bad. Will not be back. Oh, and it is valet only and there is an automatic $16 charge to retrieve your car. But they will not warn you of that!

Had a nice lunch here! It was a beautiful day to enjoy the patio and views!! We had a grouper sandwich and the shrimp bowl. Both were good although the grouper was pretty well fried and salted a little too much for my taste. The bowl was good as were the lovely cocktails!!
