Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in Eleuthera

We had a great dinner here. We loved the outdoor deck and great service. We ordered the grilled grouper dinner which was good and the island curry which was simply amazing and a must order. It was not spicy and very flavorful - perhaps the best curry I have had. Our favorite restaurant in Governor’s Harbour.

Where to start?! Food was amazing, service was excellent, and the atmosphere is just a vibe! Be sure to get the calamari and spring roll apps. The Bahamian “crawfish” was SO delicious.

Food is okay. The band is great. They have candles to keep away the flies and the paper napkins that our waiter set on our table caught on fire. I grabbed the napkins and threw them on the concrete walkway behind me as the whole dining area is on a wooden deck. My shoe caught on fire in the chaos and the waiter came over with a bucket of water to put out the fire. Not once did anyone come and check on us. My mom had to hunt down the owner who said she “didn’t see it” which is funny because she had been sitting on her laptop inside of the restaurant with its doors wide open a couple of yards away from the scene. The rest of the restaurant saw it and the band stopped playing because of the commotion. Some of the burned napkins were left on our table and we had to ask for them to be cleaned up. Just unacceptable customer service. We aren’t needy people but our table was on fire and nobody even asked if we were okay.

After a long day at the beach and sightseeing ended at Governor’s Harbor to eat at the Buccaneer Club. Excellent service as waiter explained the food and gave us time to decide. He came to ask to take order to put in before a big group. Food came out timely and ahead of other table. Learned something new, fly repellent by using stereo and pepper. Flies disappeared at the smell of pepper. Atmosphere was great sitting out side in rustic wood tables. Food was good and large servings. If in the area a good spot to eat in Eleuthera. Next to ice cream shop

Buccaneer Club is a great place to get a meal whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. We went multiple times as it's the most consistently open restaurant in the Governors Harbour area. The Johnson sisters run a tight ship and it was fun talking with them. The deck is huge with great shade trees and there is a bar and smaller "indoor" dining room. Food is awesome especially the seafood and traditional island dishes. Really can't go wrong. All the meals we had there were great and the cocktails are also delicious. Parking right out front otherwise the walk is not far from the strip mall along the main road. Definitely go here for good food and drink and great service.

Nice outside patio restaurant. Some nights have live music. Menus have a good few options. The island curry was really delicious. They need to start making that curry sauce as an option with the fries. When there was a small issue they fixed it straight away and gave us a free drink (not needed but they were super kind). Staff were friendly. Lovely vibe with the music. Highly recommend their curries.

Beautiful atmosphere to enjoy lunch. The flies are an issue as well as the cat that sits beneath the table. The cracked conch, fried chicken, mac & cheese, and buccaneer punch are definitely worth ordering, they are delicious. The pikliz is mild which was disappointing as I was hoping it would be spicy. The rice & peas were barely warm as if it had been sitting for some time.

Conch salad, fritters and grouper sandwich were very fresh and outstanding. The server, Anthon was an absolute delight and very informative. FYI, conch salad is eaten with a spoon to capture the juice, not a fork! Will definitely return.

Great spot for food and a beer whilst enjoying the view. Server was lovely, made us laugh and looked after us!

Fantastic spot for dinner and epic sunsets. We had the shrimp and chicken dinner with some beers. Can't beat the view and service. Anton was fantastic. Coconut cream pie was fantastic.

A casual friendly space with terrific food and friendly, accommodating staff. I have a gluten allergy and they were able to make me a delicious gluten free meal; the fresh, melt-in-your mouth fried grouper and homemade fries with coleslaw really hit the spot. Can’t beat the view!

The restaurant is perched on the beach with wonderful views and a cool breeze. We came in for a snack and decided to order some chicken. The chicken snack was tasty but the wings were a little disappointing. The wings had no flavor and were not crispy. The service was good. The menu prices are modest and that makes this place a great spot for affordable eats on the island. The portions are also huge.

We ate at the New Sunset Inn twice during our recent trip to Eleuthera. We found the food to be some of, if not the best, we experienced when dining out. Our waiter was engaging and was very familiar with EVERY drink they serve. My personal favorites were the grouper and the shrimp, both in quantity and quality. According to my wife and daughter, the coleslaw was the best they have ever tasted! The New Sunset Inn should be on your list of places to visit. Who knows, it might just become your new local favorite. I know it is for us!

Oh wow! This place is awesome! The view of the Atlantic Ocean is gorgeous, take a walk out on the beach after your meal. Free Parking is across the street. The food and service was awesome. We had the conch fritters, Green salad with beets, and pizza with pulled pork, pineapple and peppers. Yummy! Portions are large. We shared everything And still had four pieces of pizza that we took to go. And then we enjoyed the beach 💙

Really had a great time had Tippys. It’s one of my go to spots whenever I visit Eleuthera, whether with my friends or family. I’ve been there for lunch and dinner and at both times the food and service were great. Would highly recommend.

Had dinner at Tippy’s a few times during our visit to the island. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Cracked lobster and fries was very delicious, this is my favorite meal. My friend that was with me had fish tacos , spinach fish dip and really enjoyed it. View was fantastic. Loved this little place on the beach! Would definitely recommend anyone going, you won’t be disappointed.

We read other reviews and planned on slow service and a long wait for food, but that wasn't the case at all - it was completely reasonable! Be prepared to be swarmed by flies as you try to eat - the restaurant does try to combat this with lit sternos, but it seemed like they have no impact if you get a seafood entry. My son ordered a pizza and only had one or 2 flies bothering him, but another person in our party ordered Mahi Mahi and was swarmed! It was a nice atmosphere, made for good pics with the beach in the background.

We waited quite a bit for the server to bring a canned soda and bottled water. Once our appetizer arrived, we realized we didn't have napkins & and silverware, so we grabbed them from an unoccupied table because the server took a long time to return. A family near us received their appetizer and waited almost 10 minutes before they received napkins & silverware. The service is very slow at this restaurant which I can understand, it got very crowded after we arrived and I believe there were maybe 3 servers working. Two cheeseburgers were ordered with fries and conch fritters. Absolutely the best conch fritters I've had in so long. One of the burgers was incorrect. The burgers did not taste homemade and had no flavor whatsoever. The 2nd burger was burnt as well as the bun. Our fries were not hot. My husband ate at this place years ago and thought we could enjoy our lunch, but that wasn't the case. This was the worst lunch ever. They should remove burgers from the menu. Obviously, it's too complicated for the chef. The atmosphere is amazing, which I found to be the best thing going for this restaurant.

Great food and atmosphere. Sometimes service can be island speed, though that should be expected. Parking lot is easy to find right across the street. Conch fritters are bigger than most I had at other locations around Bahamas. I thought they were very good especially in the calypso sauce. Pina colada is tasty though not sure if it contained rum. Grouper with mango chutney was a good option. Good spice and sweet balance. Creole snapper was much more spicy. Out of the dessert options we chose to try the key lime pie. I would rate it as average.

Had a fantastic dinner today. My friend having the special of today, the grouper and myself the creamy lobster pasta. Both cooked to perfection. Beautiful sunset view and great service. Unfortunately, there was also life music. why is the life music always soo loud that you cannot talk anymore without raising your voice? during the break of the musician, the music is background music, as it suppose to be! when the life musician starts again, it is just too much. therefore, no dessert and no after drink. wanted to leave asap. Cannot believe the managers do not notice the level of noise.

Great food, service, atmosphere. We ordered the chicken Alfredo and the eleutheran pizza. Both were fantastic - in face one of the best dishes we had on island. The staff is also very courteous and accommodated our asks. Definitely recommend this place, please do reservations. The Eleutheran pizza in particular was loaded. Great cheese on it, which melts in mouth and leaves a lasting taste. Very fulfilling for 2 folks as well Note - the price is also premium, but typically a view follows that.

Amazing view from our table. Only ordered chicken wings and fries but they were fresh, hot and tasty. LISTEN TO THIS ~ if you like spicy food only....mix their Vat sauce and Mango Habernero sauce together for the best tasting sauce you could ask for. The service was great and the drinks were cold and fantastic.

Stayed in the hotel, but this restaurant is totally worth a visit. Possibly some of the tastiest food we had on our trip. The views were nice too. The pancakes at breakfast were next level.

We’ve been here a few times this week due to most other places closed for the slow season. I’ve had the Conch Po Boy which was amazing as well as the Lobster Pasta with cream sauce and the Shrimp and Sausage pasta with cream sauce. All good. The wife really likes the hot honey chicken sandwich.

Went to 1648 to celebrate a birthday. Service was fair as wait or had come back from vacation and needed to get back on the groove. There were several drinks and wine that they did not have. Went to catch the sunset and the day was cloudy. Nice view and set up, very clean. Food was fair burger dry and pizza doughy.

Beautiful restaurant with a great view. Staff is friendly and made our dining experience wonderful. Prices are reasonable. Cocktails are strong and delicious. The food was cooked perfectly and brought out in time. Would absolutely recommend!

Staying here was one of the joys of visiting Eluthera. The grounds are beautiful. Stephanie and her husband are wonderful hosts. I felt safe, appreciated with their hospitality, kindness and interest in making my stay the best it could be. This is a five star, excellent, well attended place. It is not luxurious, but it is affordable, clean, comfortable and well maintained. I highly recommend The Sunset Cove.

We stayed here for five nights. It was lovely! Stephanie and her husband were great. They have a spectacular view of the sunset at night On the deck of the pool. Everything's really clean. The towels are soft and wonderful. We would definitely stay here again. You are very close to the Atlantic side and right on the Caribbean side. It's a good place to set up base and explore the whole island.

Our stay at The Sunset Cove and Rainbow Room left much to be desired. We arrived just at the end of the check-in hours, which close at 5 PM, only to find that the restaurant was closed for dinner. This was disappointing, especially since they don’t offer breakfast before 8 AM or even a to-go box. There were no snacks or food options available on the property or nearby, and the closest grocery store or restaurant was a 10-15 minute car ride away. The rooms are very outdated, with many things falling apart, clearly in desperate need of renovation. Unfortunately, our room was also dirty, and we even found worms on the floor in the morning. Despite these issues, the AC worked fine, and there was coffee and tea provided in the room. The beach is a 15-minute walk from the property, which was another downside considering the limited amenities on-site. For what it offers, The Sunset Cove and Rainbow Room is very overpriced. There are far nicer hotels with more amenities and closer proximity to the beach available at the same or even lower price.

This is a lovely resort collection of cabanas in mid-Eleuthera. Stephanie and Andrea are wonderful hosts. Rainbow room is open for breakfast only this time of year. We will definitely be returning when the pizza oven is up and running.

One of the larger restaurants I’ve seen on the island. Picturesque views, delicious cocktails (including frozen drinks), great service, and an expansive menu, including scratch-made wood fire pizza. We had the coconut shrimp as an appetizer, and it was so good! Screened in patio along with indoor seating. Could easily accommodate a large party of 10-12.

Stayed in bungalow 7 directly overlooking the pool! Very clean, basic room. The pool area was amazing, in a garden setting with palm trees and a view of the water. I stayed here as I had no power at my house for 5 nights. Andrea and Stephanie were very helpful. Andrea went so far as to offer me a ride to North Eleuthera to pick up my car which I had to abandon with the Glass Window Bridge closing during a rage. Great veggie pizza in the restaurant :)

The Sunset Cove and Rainbow Room is absolutely fantastic! Stephanie and Andrea are doing a very good job running this hotel. I stayed two nights for business, and will definitely be back again later bringing my family. The rooms are not luxury, but nice and very clean. The location is great, could walk out of my door directly to a nice clean pool. The nearest beach was 5 minutes’ walk away, and the rainbow beach around 20 minutes of walking distance. I borrowed snorkeling gear from the hotel, and saw lots of fish on both beaches in the crystal clear Caribbean water. Food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner was absolutely deliciously. their Pizza was most likely one of the best pizza i ever had! Stephanie did a good job serving local delicious fruit like pineapple, coconut and more. I have been travelled around in Caribbean over the last twenty years. visited many different islands, and honestly I never been a big fan of Caribbean (always favorized Hawaii) But this trip to Eleuthero completely changed my opinion about Bahamas/Caribbean. This island, the hotel. and all the people I met during my stay, was just amazing.

We had an amazing dinner here on a Sunday night. Everything was delicious, flavorful and fresh. The owners are also the chef/hostess/wait staff, so know that when you go, you’re getting their focused attention to detail. They book a small number of seatings per night & it’s worth every moment!

Sir Francis is a great guy and an awesome chef. Exceptional meals!! Small but exquisite dining. Good view from outdoor seating. Highly recommended. A gem indeed.

Food, service & the setting are what you come to Eleuthera for. Small and intimate, family owned & run this is the authentic experience. Right off Queens Highway the actual setting is quiet and pleasant once inside! Highly recommended and worth the experience!

Francis an absolute treasure. Between his sage advice for exploring Eleuthera and conversation on positive mental outlooks, he found the time to mix incredible drinks and cook the greatest meal I have ever had. I am steadfast in all five stars that I gave, and would recommend anyone that finds themselves on Eleuthera to make time to visit this gem of an experience.

Cool spot to grab a bite in Spanish Wells harbour. We had the smoked fish appetizer which was awesome and enough for 2 people. We ended up taking our Mahi Mahi tacos to go because we were full from the smoked fish. Oh maybe the delicious Ceasars had something to do with it too!!

Great restaurant located on the East Point of the Island (Spanish Wells). Can gets busy, especially on Sunday when we went last and the wait was an hour! The servers were very good but understaffed which is a shame because they worked their butt off. We did have to send one dish back because it wasn’t prepared properly (Tuna Poke). But don’t hesitate to go - the rest of the food was great and I will be going back again without hesitation.

We rarely give a 10 and this place was that! We got the fresh catch mahi and it was delicious! We also got the grits, fresh vegetables, mac and cheese, coleslaw and fries. EVERYTHING was ABSOLUTELY Delicious!!!!!! We will dreaming about this place when we get back to Florida!

Really good service and excellent dish choices. We had the fresh catch Mahi Mahi, conch, lobster mac n cheese, coconut grits, and cocktails, all worth trying 100%. New waitress was stellar, with a great attitude and kind personality, made the experience even better. Best part; the location on point overlooking the ocean gap between Spanish Wells and North Eleuthera. Would recommend!

One of the best meals we had during our week on the island. The potato soup and grilled mahi mahi were absolutely delicious. Came back for a second meal and had the smoked fish dip, lobster tails, and creme brulee. They were equally delicious

So the location has great views but the pina colada that people raved about is not worth $18, looks great but even after mixing the floater it’s disappointing missing crème de coco. Also got the Shipwreck $14 which was alright but sweet if you like that. HH isn’t mentioned here either, other places are 5-7pm. Server didn’t seem happy to be there, maybe it was a bad day and end of shift. Posting a current drink menu since what’s posted is very outdated pricing. Our bill after included tip was $41 for 2 drinks. Left elsewhere so didn’t get to try the food.

Amazing food. Stopped after a day at Gaulding Cay. Everything we ordered was great. Highly recommend. Cracked lobster snack, grouper sandwich, wings and fish tacos! They even had corn tortillas available.

Stopped here after exploring some of the beautiful beaches and attractions for an early lunch and a cold drink. We both had the fried fish taco and some fried plantains . The fresh cut fries were like from home and the fish tacos were amazing. We left with full stomachs and would definitely go back. Staff was so friendly and welcoming .

A coworker and I stayed at Daddy Joe’s on a work trip. We had a really good experience and would recommend it. The building is old but updated. Rooms are really nice with WiFi, streaming tvs, good air conditioning, refrigerators, and other amenities. Bed was comfortable and water was hot. The restaurant has excellent food and good prices. Breakfast is available, but you have to order the previous day. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. If you are expecting a stereotypical beach resort, this isn’t it. It’s a relatively small facility with no pool. There is access to a beautiful beach a short (1/4 mile) walk or drive across the street. I’ve had longer walks to the beach at large resorts. Daddy Joe’s is about a mile from the glass window bridge and even closer to the Queen’s Baths, but I’d recommend a rental car to see the island and explore. This is a great place to get away and relax.

Such a chill yet fun vibe. My drink was the cutest since it was "Da Ginny Pig" and came in a pig mug! The food was decent enough but I would come back for the cocktails!

Stopped after a hot sightseeing on the island to get some drinks and recharge. Atmosphere is great with pool table, sofa and chairs and tables for eating. We just had drinks and play some pool. A nice stop in Queens Highway for drinks. They also have food that looked good.

I ate here 2 times on this trip and look forward to coming back on my next visit to Eleuthera. First time my husband and I got lunch to go - I had the cheeseburger tacos and he had the Daddy Joes burger. Both were tasty, although my tacos were a little cold. Maybe they were ready before the burger. For our dine in dinner we had the conch fritters. Nice standard Bahamian fritters that were cooked well and had a nice flavor. I had the coconut curry shrimp and my husband had the pineapple jerk chicken. Both dishes were delicious. I like the Jasmine rice especially. The touch of coconut is nice. The drinks were also amazing. I had the same drink both times - the lychee passiontini- very fruity and sweet. My husband had the piña colada - one of the best I’ve ever tasted. It’s a bit sweet so this could even count as a frozen dessert. staff was pleasant. They also had local live music which was a nice touch. The front decor of popular Bahamian sayings is a very unique cultural touch as well

Let me start with saying the view from outside at pascal's is fantastic. If you want just a gorgeous view this is a great place. But I thought the food was average. I had fish tacos. They were pretty good but not great. But the options I thought were thin there. And the road is a bit of a nightmare to get to the place. You will see what I mean when you go to make the turn off queens highway just north of town in govenors. It's a rutted nightmare as of March 2025 (as are many non queens highway roads in eleuthera including roads to many great beaches). I think I just wanted/ expected more after getting jostled on the road to get there. They were very understaffed the day I was there and were struggling to keep up. Took a while to check the check. But hopefully they get the staff in place and would be nice to see them open up the menu a little. Might be a better lunch spot honestly. Navigating the roads in the dark after dinner is tricky (not the restaurant's fault). Enjoy the views.

Stayed in area and had access to pool at Pascals bar. To get to area is a rough road. Had a good time and faced some service issues. Drinks were good and views were also good. Pool needs some updates and maintenance for sand. Not busy and expensive drinks. Sit in the pool for some drinks Sammy always ready to serve you.

Had a great day spent poolside at Pascals and Sammy’s bar. Walk down to the beach to enjoy great Atlantic views and a lovely stretch of white sand. Food is good and they aren’t skimpy on portion sizes. Service happens on island time so like many places here don’t be in a hurry. Sammy was entertaining and made excellent drinks! Would definitely come back!

Pizza was handmade and super fresh! It was delicious I had to box it up and had it for seconds later. Great views, but a super bumpy ride in, take it slow.

So if you’re coming to Eleuthera the first thing you need to understand and expect is that it will not be like your home country’s service level. However, that does not forgive a 2 hour wait for three meals. The food. Good. Worth the wait? Probably not. It’s very expensive (and we haven’t gotten to the drinks yet). Yes it has a swim up bar and a nice view of the water, but the drinks? Overpriced for the weakest two mixed drinks I’ve ever had (about $16 a piece). That’s not to mention that throughout the two hour wait the sole bartender, Sammy, barely checked on us for new drinks when we had empty glasses. The bill for 3 main courses and 5 mixed drinks (they removed one from the bill) (oh! And three bottles of water we didn’t ask for) came to $180. They came back and added $32 of gratuity making it a nice (not) $212. The service was not worth that much and after rebounding from the long wait and weak drinks with good food we got slapped in the face with that add on. There are better places to go eat you just have to look for it, don’t fall for the purposely set up nice scenes (definitely a tourist trap)

Pascals is an awesome place to just hang out and relax. The bartender Sam was very inviting and great to chat with. It was our first time on the island and he made us feel very welcomed. The pool is nice to hang out in and have some drinks. The view over the edge is amazing to gaze over and watch the Atlantic. The conch fritters were very tasty and the pizza was also great to get to take back to our Vrbo. Overall great experience .

Can't think of anything they could have done better, starting from the highway turn-off: - The road in to Pascal's is an experience not to be missed; it might help to have a sport-utility - The burger was one of the biggest (and messiest) that I've had in ages. Just fantastic - Sammy and the staff are some of the friendliest people you could imagine The location is just above a beautiful beach with views that are top notch. Amazing atmosphere. Highly recommend, and will return.

Wreckers is an outdoor, but covered, bar and grill on a pier attached to the Yacht Haven marina. It’s got a classy menu - for example, we got some flambéed cheese with pita as an appetizer, and a tasty half chicken for dinner. They do still have plenty of local staples though - for example, I had a conch burger. This is the one spot on the island where I have found that parking can be tight. During the summertime, there may be flies about, but the staff will be sure to set you up with sternos at the table to help keep them away.

Frankly, I think this is the best of the restaurants on Spanish Wells! From the breakfast to the dinner, from draft beers to signature cocktails - everything is absolutely delish! We are coming here frequently every time we are visiting the Island. I'm posting a few pics of their Wednesday Dinner Buffet - what can I say, if you are here on a Wednesday, don't miss it out! Oh, and not to forget that they can prep your fresh catch for you the way you like it. I love them and warmly recommending to you!

Wasn’t impressed with the fresh catch of the day. The Red Snapper was blackened (highly seasoned), super thin and way overcooked. Beautiful atmosphere.

Do not miss, a fun and professionally run restaurant with a good menu for food and cocktails. Check out their daily specials. Located on the water overlooking a dock area. You can approach by boat and of course by car/golf cart. They can get busy and loud sometimes in doors, so keep in mind. There is out door and indoor dining. Bring some mosquito repellent if there during the early evening.

Food was very good but pricey for the island. Drinks were good. Fried chicken sandwich was excellent. Fish tacos were good. Fish sandwich was average. Conch fritters were good. Unfortunately the flies just killed the atmosphere. They tried everything sterno and little fans...just didn't help. It's not just their place, it's the whole island.

We visited Wreckers Restaurant several times during our family vacation, and we believe it’s the best on the island—absolutely worth any wait! The food was amazing; the filet was cooked to perfection, and we particularly loved the mac and cheese and conch fritters. The fresh catch of the day, which was red snapper, was simply delightful. The service was attentive and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we loved it and can't recommend it enough!

Wow, so unexpected. I find most location restaurants suffer from a dependence on location and view. This place does not. The food was very well prepared and generously portioned. The staff is friendly.it is charming and spotless. Just such a surprise.

Great spot to stop in for a bite in Spanish Wells. Hot and tasty conch fritters. Slurger burger hit the spot. Grab a Sands radler while you’re at it. Perfect.

Best atmosphere, decent prices great bar. The one place you should go good drinks, good food, and you don’t feel taking advantage of when you get the bill. very gracious bartender. Some of the coolest owners she’ll ever meet.

This place has a cool vibe but be prepared to sweat if the fans aren’t near you. Good HH pricing. Jalapeño poppers are tiny and priced per popper $1.40/ea. The Pine Burger $18 was good but pricey for what it was, adding poppers to it was pretty tasty. Got the island fries (normal fries, could’ve been cooked longer). Rum punch was ok.

My favorite conch fritters on the island!! Budda’s is one of those places that every time I visit Eleuthera I cannot go home without stopping here! Fun environment, great food and tasty drinks!

Best place to eat on the island! Cool vibes! Great food! Great service with nice people. Excellent onion rings and conch fritters...love the sauce! (Save some or ask for some with your meal). Drinks were good. Pineburgers were great. Cracked conck was great. Fish Slawger Burger was excellent (we put the conch sauce on our burgers). The cheapest meal on the island. The best of all they were proactive with fans everywhere...ZERO flies!

This is my favorite restaurant/bar on the island! The staff is friendly and efficient, and the food, drinks, and ambiance is exactly like the little beach bars I’ve always adored. I wish it was actually on the beach, but it’s ok, because you certainly feel like you are when you are there. They have live music occasionally, and karaoke on Friday nights. My kids love to play with Spencer, the resident cat. I love this place! Budda and his wife Joanie always remember us when we visit Spanish Wells, so it’s like coming home!

I wasn't expecting food this good! Ate here a few times during our week in Spanish Wells. The first night had hog fish tacos and they were the best fish tacos I've ever had!

Great atmosphere with tables overlooking the water. Service was quick and everyone was pleasant. Food came out fast, although the pizza did take about 30 minutes (there is a warning in the menu about ordering pizza).

This is by far my fave spot of all Russell & Spanish Wells restaurants. Great service, great drinks & HH, conch fritters we got were tasty, and can’t beat the amazing view. We pulled up on our boat after a day of diving (you have to walk/swim). Take a walk to the hammock it’s soooo nice if you get it to yourself.

Great beach bar vibe, friendly staff, good eats, and some phenomenal craft cocktails! We’ve had dinner and brunch here and both were amazing. Good happy hour deals, too! And super easy to get to if you’re anchored on the south side of Russell Island with a nice beach to land your tender on.

The service at Sandbar Beach Bar and Grill was fast, and the food was really good! This has become my kids' favorite spot whenever we’re on vacation. They absolutely love the homemade chicken fingers. We enjoyed our time there so much that we ate there more than once during our trip. I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a fun, off-the-beaten-path experience that's both relaxing and enjoyable!

Popular for good reasons: delicious drinks, lovely waterfront setting and a solid menu. We always look forward to visiting this spot on Russell Island when we come over from Governors Harbor. The twists on martinis are fun, and I had the most delicious cucumber jalapeño drink (but it wasn’t too spicy, just refreshing!) This is a lovely spot to spend a leisurely lunch or drinks, also try the fish tacos. And they also sold some cute locally made crafts.

Not a good experience. Order grilled fish fingers and it was boiled fish with too many onions. Couldn’t even eat it. Also came out 30 minutes after the rest of our table. They also charged my husband an extra $22 for blackened fish - original price or the wrap was $14 and they charged $36! Service gave us attitude when we tried to understand why. The prices here are on par with nicer spots like Potlatch club which is crazy. Not worth it. Skip and go to Tippy’s where you can get a delicious lobster role for the same price.

Enjoyed lunch here one day on our honeymoon. The service was excellent. Enjoyed some Kaliks and the Crack Chicken… genuinely some of the best fried chicken tenderloins I’ve ever had in my life. And that’s saying a lot coming from me.

Stumbled across this little bar while driving back from North Eleuthera, had drinks looking over a lovely wooden patio. Returned the next day for lunch. Generous portions and really good food with friendly service. Beautifully situated over the water with a wooden tower you can climb for a better view.

I'm not one to leave a bad review, but was so very disappointed after years of coming here. I ordered a fish wrap ($14), and asked to simply substitute fried fish for grilled/blackened. Our server advised there would be an "additional charge". No detail. Fine. My food arrived after my family had finished their plates, and the bill had my wrap priced at an imaginary $36!! Our server refused to accept my protest, insisting I was in the wrong because she "told me so". The conch fritters and view were lovely.

Thank goodness we stumbled upon this place while heading "Up South" from Gregory Town. It was 9am and I wasn't 100% sure of what we were ordering but once it came, I was so happy I trusted the waitress! Stew Fish and a Chicken Soup. The flavors were unlike anything I've ever had. The coffee was very black and tasted amazing. I'd love to know how they made it but forgot to ask. Our waitress was so sweet and after we ate, the chef was behind the bar so I asked her the secret and she let me in on some Bohemian cooking tips! We will definitely go again when we visit the island.

The sunset view is amazing, especially from the upper deck of the structure built specifically to give you a great picture. Conch fritters are excellent and the house salad is a big, generous salad with lots of fresh veggies!

The atmosphere was amazing, beautiful place to catch the sunset and the food was very good. Cora made us some yummy drinks. The live music was enjoyable. Definitely would recomend.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while driving to our hotel from the airport. We were exhausted and hungry, so I didn't care to look at the menu or reviews online (which I usually do). Now, after reading the reviews (the bad ones), we see that our experience was very similar! The restaurant entrance and "on the water" view was very gorgeous! As soon as the owner started talking though, I thought, oh! maybe this is the way people here talk.... Then we were told that we came without a reservation, the fisherman hasn't brought in the fish, and the restaurant wasn't prepared. Therefore, the only food we could get was "the best burger on the island", claimed by the restaurant owner. By observing the owner speaking, he came across weird and a bit rude in my opinion. We should have left but we decided to give it a try, I just needed food in my belly! Unfortunately, the best burger was too dry/overcooked for the price we paid ($24 a burger). The mix drink was pre-mixed, so couldn't order anything different, other than beer or water. The drink was okay, nothing fancy ($15). On top of that, there was a $18 tax, I thought, oh well... we paid for the ocean view while eating.... Understandable that everything is expensive on the islands, but this was kind of outrageous. It's unfortunate that this was the first restaurant we experienced upon arrival because we later discovered other restaurants with  better food, more friendly staff/onwer, and overall cheaper prices!  To conclude, I will never go back or recommend this place to anyone.

Sadly disappointed. Pros: the location is gorgeous! The bar/restaurant decor is super beach Bahamian, loved it! Sadly the good stops there. The menu is written on a blackboard, some of the prices have been and it was hard to read. We were asking about it and Mark, the owner informed us, he has one thing today, bacon cheeseburger! Okay, we’ll take two please only one with fires, it comes with it regardless, okay fine. I got the “famous” rum punch, looked pretty but was mostly ice and had a strange chemical taste to it, I assumed it was from cheap liquor or the coconut water used to make it. Burgers finally came out and we’re way over cooked, bacon was so hard and crunchy it was hard to bite through. Meat tasted like it was frozen prepatted not hand patted with fresh meat. The bun was good and the grilled taste on burger was nice, fries were good. Mark made some fresh popped popcorn I assume bc the other two people in there only had a beer, which was nice and tasty. Mark has a quirky personality, which I was aware of from other reviews, very sarcastic humor. What I wasn’t prepared for is how mean, hateful and rude he spoke to his two employees! It was so uncomfortable and I felt so bad for them! I will not ever go back to this place as long as Mark is the owner. To top it all off, we get the check and we’re shocked! $24 for the burger & fries, $14 for rum punch, $6 a beer total $92! We were shocked! Stupidly on my part I didn’t catch that he charged $18 for “tax”, obviously that included gratuity but since it didn’t say gratuity we left more, came out spending $110! So be prepared! Would have been helpful to actually see the prices on the menu board, I mean who writes prices in red on a black board when everything else is in white?! It felt like he was being deceptive about it.

Literally the best burger we have had. Visited Mark 3 times for lunch in 6 days. Just look for the open sign and he is there. Ask him about the deserted Navy base or the “haunted house”!!

The owner was extremely nice and talked to us alot, the rum punches were extremely good, and so was the food, however there was only a 3 things to choose from. It was pricey, but everything on eleuthera was expensive. I would definitely go back in we were to visit eleuthera again.

We fell in love with The Deck and also Mark, the owner. VERY clean on a beautiful deserted beach. Best drinks while we were on the island and BEST hamburger anywhere! Cooked on an open charcoal grill, top of the line Angus beef. Mark went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Our only regret is we found The Deck late during our visit. We would have spent the afternoon there EVERY day had we known about it. The negative reviews on here are funny to read. You're on "island time", people...and also...when the food is gone, it's gone. Order something else. Relax and enjoy the funky atmosphere.

Stumbled across this place on accident ....literally the best place on the island. THIS is what a beach bar is supposed to look and feel like. You cannot have any more of a chill vibe then you have here. While the menus is very simple ...The food was phenomenal. I don’t understand why in all my research I did not stumble across this place online .

We LOVE the original location and were super excited about visiting the new location. It did not disappoint! The service was excellent and the food was delicious! We were a group of 5 and came for lunch and had a variety of sandwiches - but, hamburger, club, & fish sandwich. All which were great. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Highly recommend!!

We stopped in here to have a late lunch and a cold beer. The waitress was attentive and pleasant. There were no crowds so we were able to sit anywhere and chose the patio. We had a couple beers ordered; the charge was $7/beer, which is high relative to other places we’re been to. We ordered grouper fingers and a well done cheeseburger with fries. A word of caution; check what sides are included in your meal versus what is an extra charge. The fries were $6 extra on the meal. When the meal arrived so did the flies, which are normally not a big deal, however we moved inside to eat without them around. The grouper fingers were OK, not great when compared to other restaurants. It is not clear what the hamburger should have had on it, however it was lacking; in content and pizazz. Few condiments and it was like eating a slab of beef between 2 pieces of bread; with minimal toppings; chose your menu items wisely. A VAT of 10% is expected, yet a 20% gratuity is over the top. Just pay your people properly and price your meal accordingly. Total for 2 - $105 BD…back home this is maybe $45-50.

I don't usually write reviews and have never in my life given a one star rating but here we are. Went for lunch with a party of just 2 people. There was only one table of 6 seated when arrived. Waitress said we could sit anywhere we liked so we chose outside seating. It then took 20+ minutes before our server came to take our order so we went ahead and just placed our food and drink order all together. It then took another 20+ before we got our drinks. By the time I got my rum punch the ice had already almost completely melted. So 40 minutes just to get a drink. 1 hour and 50 minutes before got out food, while waiting 3 tables of people came in, sat waited and left without being served. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger medium, having worked in the restaurant industry I'm not one to ever complain about wait times or food quality especially if the place is busy but it there was literally only one other table when we walked in. My burger then came without the bacon and EXTREMELY overcooked. If I'm gonna pay $30+ for a burger and fries you would expect that it be somewhere in the realm of how you ordered it but nope. Bill came with 20% gratuity added and by this time I was so aggravated I didn't even bother to complain about the overcooked burger or the extra charge for bacon that I didn't get. Just paid the bill and left and have no intention on ever going back. So They got my money but they're also gonna take this one star review, just wish I could negative star rate it.

Lovely place great bake goods they have an in house baker the food is delicateble with moderate prices the portions are large and the drinks are great ask for Ginger great bartender elegant ambiance easy listening jazz music I have had dinner and breakfast here so far and I will definitely be going back. I have visited this establishment over and over again and I will continue to go the atmosphere is breath taking and of course the food is divine.

This place was awesome to eat at after walking along the beaches all morning. Sat at the bar out back and had some fried fish fingers and fries that were all crisp and tasty. Served with a nice side of tartar sauce. Had a nice selection of beers and mixed drinks. I was happy being an IPA fan that they had a couple choices to pick from. The outside seating area is very nice and spacious with a great view of the Atlantic. We were greeted right away. Food came out quick and all was well!

Wonderful restaurant on the island! Decor, food, service, bakery all fantastic and we’re so happy we tried it. The portions were large, fresh and reasonably priced. Conch fritters are the best I ever had. Fresh grouper and snapper dinners came with salads too. A dessert to go from a large assortment is a must!

Had a local tourist guide take us to this gem. 5 stars is not enough for this spot!! We had The Conch Fritters for an app and The Fisherman's Platter for our main. These came as recommendations from Orlad Curtis, our amazing guide (Look him up). The fritters were some of the best I've had...ever! The platter was a fried sampler of lobster, grouper, shrimp, and conch...amazing! Three of us shared, and we were full!! You could not ask for a more beautiful setting.. They offer many different seating options, and we chose the open covered deck. Highly recommended this spot.

We only came for lunch. The surroundings were lovely. The setting is great. We both ordered fish tacos priced at $20. Note” Fish tacos”. We were expecting fish. We could hardly find it buried beneath the cheese and sour cream. There was very little fish in these tacos. Flakes. You may as well call them cheese tacos. For the price point, my wife and I agreed, there should’ve been three tacos, not two. We left feeling hungry and a little ripped off frankly. So unnecessary. We won’t be back.

The expensive drinks were very watered down.I would not recommend getting any cocktails here. They are alcohol free. I would drink beer instead. The shrimp dynamite appetizer was wonderful so were the shrimp tacos. The service was slow with no one in there. It was off season. Sit by the water the view is beautiful.

Visited for afternoon cocktails and appetizers. We sat at the bar and were warmly greeted by the bartender. The bar overlooks the beach and offers amazing views. Our food was delicious. Definitely worth popping in for a meal.

Over a course of 5 years, we’ve been here multiple times, with the latest being tonight. This restaurant is just incredible, this is the one place we come to over and over again, every time we visit the island. The staff are so friendly and the food is solid every time, they just don’t miss. I will also say that I think this is the best value bar on the island. The cocktails are $15-$18, but they are stiff drinks, you only need one or two. Other restaurants on the island have very weak drinks for the same price. You can’t beat the views either!

We found La Bougainvillea while searching for a resort for our first private flight to the Bahamas. We had no idea how much we would enjoy our experience! The manager Que was a fabulous host and she, and the other staff, provided us with excellent service going above and beyond! The property is beautiful, rooms are spacious and comfortable, and it's right on the ocean. The beach is essentially a private, white sand beach with no one else in sight. There is a great restaurant on the property too, so this is a perfect getaway spot where you never need to leave! We can't wait to return soon and say hello to Que again!

Best hotel we stayed at in the Bahamas by a country mile!!! Service was amazing, the food at the on-site restaurant was amazing, the views absolutely stunning. Minor nit, the beach is on the Atlantic side so the water is not as calm as the Caribbean side. With regards to service, there was a small mix-up with regards to our rental car (pickup from the airport vs the hotel) and they over compensated us imo, for that small error on their side. If I'm ever in elethurea again I'm definitely staying here.

Let me start by saying.. this place is absolutely wonderful. We came here for lunch yesterday, but what made us patrons for life is their commitment to service and our experience with them tonight. We had planned this trip to Eleuthera on a whim, and the day before arrival we were notified of most of the island restaurants closing due to their slow season. Today is my birthday, and I had went to three or four other restaurants, which said they were open on Google, just to drive to them to find out they are all closed. La Bougainvillea was our last hope to have a meal for the night. We showed up nearly 30 minutes after the kitchen closed. The manager JoJo graciously took us in after asking the chef if they were willing to cook for us. The food was PHENOMENAL! Fresh ingredients. Avanna gave us amazing service. And to top off the night, when we left the restaurant (conveniently in the middle of a bad storm), our rental car wouldn’t start. The GM Sonom woke up out of his sleep and drove us personally to our resort. I can’t not say enough good things about the staff, the establishment and the food. If I could give them 12 stars I would!

This small restaurant will give you amazing bahamian food and has one of the friendliest waitresses I have ever met! Definitely worth checking them out!

Eat like the locals! This is a small corner store with less than 10 seats inside and it get‘s packed around lunch time so I suggest you order for takeaway but the food is exceptional. Local island dishes in great portions and you get it all for super moderate prices. The best thing is you get your food with a beautiful smile.

Small town "sit in" or "take out" eatery owned by Mrs.Pammy. Her menu consists mainly of bahamian dishes and is finger licking good and very affordable. Try the cracked conch, its to die for!

Excellent local food at great prices right in Governors Harbour. They serve breakfast and lunch only and i never been disappointed here.

We went to Sammy’s for dinner and had incredible food! It’s fresh and local which can play a part in if they will have everything on the menu for dinner. The servings are huge, so be ready to take food with you for a second meal!

What a hidden gem! Grouper was delicious and the prices don't break the bank!! Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

Stopped in for breakfast on Boxing Day. Many places were closed, Sammy’s was open early. My kid finished all his pancakes; he’s very picky. The pancakes were very good. I had fried eggs and bacon and loved it. The service was super friendly and the hosts very hospitable.

Ugh, where do I even begin? This place was a total disaster from start to finish. First off, the wait times were absolutely ridiculous. I mean, we waited over an hour just to get seated, and then another 45 minutes for our pizza to arrive. The staff was super rude and acted like they couldn't care less about the customers. When the pizza finally came, it was cold and tasted awful. The crust was soggy, the toppings were sparse, and it was just a huge disappointment. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. This place is definitely not worth it!

The pizza is INCREDIBLE. 5 of us got all different things and everyone loved their food. The drinks were yummy too. Casual, chill, friendly, great stop … don’t skip it! Ps: my child said his chicken burger was the best meal he had on Eleuthera.

Mate and Jenny's is an absolute treat on the island. Please understand, this is an island. It makes me so unhappy when I read bad reviews comparing it to New York Pizza, etc. Please try and be grateful. The pizza here is amazing! Even the burger is outstanding! We like to have a pizza night and Mate & Jenny's came up. Called and ready in 30 minutes. We showed up a little early and watched 6 locals come to pick up. Adrienne was pleasant on the phone and at pick up. Made the experience that much better.

Worth a visit! A stunning low key location overlooking Savannah Sound and The Blue Hole (southern hole). Fish Tacos, Spicy Conch Salad and Pineapple Mojitos were great!

We spent a rainy afternoon here with family. The food was great - conch fritters with lots of conch, delicious quesadillas, and perfectly fried little snapper. The drinks were great, as well. It’s a bit of a trek to get there — don’t worry when the dirt road looks like it’s leading nowhere. Highly recommend!

Great little beach bar and grill on Savannah Sound. Great vibes, friendly staff, good food, great drinks. I had the Red Sexy and my partner had the rum punch. Both were delicious! We also ate the conch fritters and tacos. The chicken tacos were Spicy, and delicious. The lobster tacos were worth the expense! Thanks Fishbones!

This restaurant is off the beaten path and on the beach which means great views. The waitress was so cheerful and welcoming, definitely matched the the vibe of the restaurant. The food was good and tasty. Will definitely recommend.

You should be prepared to wait. Oh and, wait some more. Then, after one hour of waiting, they tell you they sold out of the food you ordered. While, plate after plate was coming out of the kitchen, servicing another table. They never have what is on their menu, and take forever to serve or even acknowledge you. Waste of time. Don’t waste your time.

Outstanding Conch Fritters...Very good food & our Server (sorry I've forgotten her Name) was Excellent! Nice location Pork tenderloin was perfectly cooked. Fish was very tasty I can't recall what our teenage son had but he woofed it down to a spotless plate....

To me this place is all about the unique view experience. The food I had was good, plus there’s plenty of easy parking. Definitely worth a stop if you visit the glass window bridge.

We were so happy to find El Karaka open today as we hiked from the Queens Baths to the Glass Window Bridge. Drinks and lunch were delicious!! Beautiful view & friendly staff!! 🍹

This is a must stop. The view is absolutely stunning. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was really good; Fish Burger, Crack Lobster, Chicken Wings and the Veggie Quesadilla were all well received by the family. And cocktails were just as good. Make sure to have cash. They do remind you before you order.

The best grouper sandwich also nice refreshing bloody Mary And a fresh Bahama drink with some conch fritters and grouper bites. Fantastic the owners were amazing. Came out to check on us several times. It was a long way but well worth it like seriously have patience. It is definitely worth it.

One of the most amazing views I've ever had while dining. The service was spectacular food delicious and great value for money. Google page is a bit temperamental so look at their FB page for best info. Highly recommended and will visit again if in the area.

What an amazing spot! We got there and they weren’t quite open yet, but the guy was super friendly and said “Come on in here I gotta get you some beers!” Ok, don’t have to tell me twice. I got a conch wrap and I think my wife got a burger. Food was super good, they kept the drinks coming the whole time we were there, and even gave us some tips on places to go around the island. Overall, typical Eleuthera. Food is always good and the people are always warm and welcoming.

This place has the most amazing views! The food is fantastic! The people take kindness to the next level. If you are anywhere near here, you have to stop in for a drink! If you are lucky maybe you will meet Pineapple and Coconut, the cutest dogs around.

Service was amazing and the owner, Melissa, was so kind! We had a fussy toddler and both our lovely server and Melissa were so accommodating. Melissa even walked our daughter down to the dock to look at fish. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. A must stop for your trip. It’s worth the drive if you’re not staying in Rock Sound.

Great location on the water and very cruiser friendly with a dock out front. The dinner menu is limited but we were able to get the fish tacos from the lunch menu which were excellent and a very popular item. We also had the salmon which was cooked perfectly and had great seasoning. Will be back next time we are in Rock Sound.

The friendly warmth of the owner, Melissa, was felt from the minute we arrived. Her eagerness to welcome us was also evident by her willingness to explain gluten free options and offer delicious alternatives for me. The quality of the gluten-free food was matched by the stunning ocean view and tasteful decor. Loved every bite of my blackened grouper tacos with pineapple salsa! Everyone else I was with had delicious meals as well, and it was entertaining watching folks come and go by the pier. Lovely experience from start to finish.

Nice restaurant right on the water. We got a starter of Conch Fritters, the conch wrap and the orchid burger for our lunch. Good food and fairly quick service for a sit down restaurant. There is an automatic 18% gratuity and 10% vat tax applied to your bill so just take that into consideration before stopping!

Great food and drinks. Caters to cruises and has a dhingy dock for easy access. They allowed us to go run errands around town and leave the dhingy at the dock. We of course ate and had drinks. Prices are a little steep but everywhere is on the Bahamas. Laundry is avalible but we were told the washer does not work well. Super friendly staff.

So glad we stopped here. I had a Caesar Salad with very tasty chicken and a lobster wrap that had big chunks of lobster. We ordered two local alcohol drinks that were very delicious and strong. Great food and service. Don’t miss this place.

Unca Gene’s was our first restaurant to visit in Eleuthera. Our server, Keitra, was super welcoming and friendly. She recommended grilled Grouper and it was so delicious! Atmosphere is chill, we sat outside to enjoy the fresh air. It was very peaceful outside. The music plays indoors. She told us it was island time…but we still got our food in good time.

If I could give it a zero, I would. But I can't. So I give it a one. Eat at Daddy Joe's down the road instead. $40CAD for 4 oz of grilled fish and frozen vegetables. We also ordered the same fish with a baked potatoes for the same price. DREADFUL. And the room itself is derelict. The nice plates were ours. We did take out. I see so many people posting good reviews which is incomprehensible. If you have any standards at all, don't believe them. Unfriendly service and insane prices. The place is a run down shack and absolutely nothing on that menu should be more than $10. To get good food, proper service, and a nice environment please check out Harbor Island - it's a short water taxi ride from north Eleuthera.

The food is fair to good, but we did wait for almost two hours to get the food served. To be fair, the waitress did warn us that they were busy and it would be a long wait. They offered to hold our table while we walked around town, which we took them up on. The staff were very friendly and the locals sitting at the bar were entertaining.

We had a great time at Unca Genes! The staff is super inviting and awesome. The food was delicious. We recommend you check them out if you visit Gregory Town.

Good coffee shop, not so good for breakfast. Some food was cold, and not too tasty. Hash browns are premade very similar to Mickey D's. Not enough workers to handle a crowd, but our server was very nice and polite.

Billy is as nice as his food is good! He has it all from bbq to seafood, to amazing baked goods. His food is priced right and amazing. You can’t go wrong eating here. I have had just about all of it and love it all! My favorites are his fish, conch and rice, pineapple tart, pumpkin pie, bbq chicken, did I mention I love his grouper!

If you are passing through James Sistern around lunchtime on Friday or Saturday, you have to stop and grab BBQ ribs or chicken. It is awesome. Call ahead to be sure to get a meal. You can sit under the Tamarind tree or by the beach or take it back to your house.

The food was on point. Great talk. Friendly. Smiles. Great jokes. There are some folks you get to visit in the community of James cistern that just puts a lasting smile on your face. This is one of those places. They have been around for about 50 years. This is the place to visit if you've been gone for a while, you get that tastes for.

I had a hamburger and I don’t think what I had was hamburger meat. It was something it tasted OK but it didn’t look like meat. And they took forever to make your food and they wasn’t very friendly. Also, the tomato I had to look for it it was so small Anyway was a very pleased. Good luck when you go there. oh PS by the way, we were almost one there.

Our first stop on the island and Mel’s did not disappoint. Highly recommend the grouper snack, conch snack, and tropical smoothies. Everything was delicious and everyone working there couldn’t be nicer. There is a great view in the seating area across the street.

Cute little snack shack right on Queens Hwy with delicious food and friendly service! We had the grilled grouper burger with salad and conch burger with fries. Both were great and very fresh! We could literally hear her beating the conch while we waited. Portions were perfect! You order at the window but there is seating under the covered patio as well as across the street right in the beach. Plenty of shade even in the middle of the day. Nice bathrooms too! Prices can’t be beat! $26 for both plates of food! We will definitely be back! Hours: Mon - Sat about 10-7 Sunday 1-6:00 She said she lives around back and if you call ahead she can do breakfast too

Really good conch sandwich, however I’m not a big fan of ketchup, and it was served with this condiment on both sides of the bun. I will definitely return, just request no ketchup. Conch was fresh, I actually heard the very lovely woman cracking it in the background… so authentic. She brought the platter right out to the beach💕 Took a recent pic of the menu, prices have changed over the months.

Oh my word. Our grouper bites and grouper burgers were amazing to say the least!! I will go back 100% and added as a saved location. Just WOW. Stopped in for a quick lunch on the go and it was well worth it. Both the chicken wrap and crack conch were insanely good…I regret not taking a photo but we inhaled both too quickly. The philly cheesesteak also looked amazing (we saw someone else order it). Prices are hard to beat and we were surprised how quick our food came out too! Candy was the sweetest!

This lil spots offers a wonderful selection of island cuisine. The owner and cook Candy exudes warmth and is always so welcoming. My menu faves are the cheese steak and wings. And the grilled chicken available on fridays is a crowd favorite. The prices are also extremely reasonable. Candy serves up the best lunches on the island period.

Candy is a pure pleasure to talk to. What a doll! It’s so nice to see another take-away place come to this part of the island. The chicken wings were great; they are breaded like fried chicken. The local hot sauce is screaming hot: Be careful! The conch burger and cheeseburger were very good as well. The fries were not our favorite. They were a bit flat and may have lost some of their crispness in the short drive home. Queen of Tarts has some outdoor seating, but be warned, if there is no breeze you will get mauled by flies and no-see-ums. It’s best to take the food and eat at home if the air is calm. We will certainly come back to see Candy’s smile and enjoy her home cooking in our future visits.

We’ve had the chicken tenders and the Philly, we’ve eaten at the very expensive restaurants on the island and we always prefer coming here! The chicken tenders are really delicious, her batter is very tasty, I don’t know what she puts on them but they are delicious, always very soft tenders, she knows how to cook!

Very reasonable prices and fun drinks with a Pina Colada, Miami Vice and strawberry daiquiri. We had the grilled grouper which was good but the fried grouper fingers were excellent. The restaurant is in the back behind the restaurant sign with a bar and picnic tables.

It's a cozy setting with a bar and deck to the back of the property, the menu has alot of seafood. We tried the grilled lobster and cracked conch, conch that has been battered and fried, both with fries. The servings were generous, the seafood was fresh and the drinks were decently priced. Overall We would definitely revisit.

We visited the restaurant the first day we came to this town. The main entrance was little confusing because the restaurant is in the back side. The waitress was so kind and friendly. I had fried fish. It was delicious. I loved the pina colada. My husband had a fish. Hamburger 🍔. We had a nice time 😊

Please note website prices and menu items are not the same as it is not updated. Prices are much cheaper. Current owner, Vinnie, was a chef to many stars back in the states and is from the Bahamas. Great place to get authentic Bahamian food and not necessarily touristy food. Had cracked Conch and Conch Ball (even though I don't eat such things) and it was a amazing! Daiquiri is thick like ice cream and really good. I got the virgin one. Waitress, Dawn, is a trained pastry chef. Had this wonderful desert she cooked the traditional way in a cotton pillow case. It was amazing! Ate here the majority of the trip although I wasn't staying in the area. Most other authentic food places open and close early when they run out of food. There is no main sign on the main road. So coming from the North you will make a right after you see a park on your right and from the south a left when you see it right after the lottery sign. Not too much after you see the Hatchet Bay sign.

Twin brothers restaurant in Alice town, Eleuthera has been a “go-to” for my husband and I since we discovered it. Daniel, the bartender, is always smiling and makes one heck of a Goombay Smash! The food is always delicious and decently priced. Don’t sleep on Twin Brothers if you’re in the area! You won’t regret coming to the lovely establishment!

Adorable place we happened upon when everything else was closed. What a hidden gem! The very yummy conch fritters had HUGE chunks of conch and the Bahama Mama ain't playin' around! The staff was so friendly. The prices were the best around too. 10/10 recommend. Don't miss this little treasure in Eleuthera!

Stopped in for curry chicken the other day. Wow was it good and tasty. The portion was huge and the sides were all great too. Service was fast and it was still nice and hot when I got home with it 15 mins later. Cant wait to go back

Oh my goodness! I smelled this most amazing barbeque smell. It got me to this place. I ordered the ribs corn on the cob fried plantains and crab salad. For $18. That is amazing. The amount of food the amount of meat they give you is just outrageously amazing. It was so tasty. Barbeque sauce was amazing. I don’t know all I can say is it was amazing. I recommend this for everybody. And you even have enough food for the next day. I’m only here for one and a half more weeks and I’m from London Ontario Canada, and I’m gonna go there at least three or four more times. Definitely worth the wait And the drive to 3 J’s luv you guys

When I travel abroad, I love to eat where the locals do. 3js is the perfect place for this in Palmetto Point. The menu is a revolving door of local cuisine. Their are burgers, soups, chicken, conch, and bbq available on different days of the week. The Friday bbq meats must not be missed. The menu is reasonably priced, and the portions are huge.

This is a chill spot, we went during the day and sat in the only covered table. The food was really tasty and the service was excellent. It seems to have a conch salad stand as well but it wasn't open during the day.

Had a 2 meat dinner with sides, the food was home made BBQ on site and the smell while buying was great. More of a BBQ place than jerk, some of the meat was fatty but tasty with the meat, reasonably priced. The staff were super friendly. Rice and beans were 5 star. BBQ sauce was awesome.

Delicious!! We have been staying close by and had smelled the amazing aroma and had to stop by and try it. So glad we did! The jerk chicken and pork chops were just the right balance of sweet and smokey with a delicious sauce. The potato salad was wonderful as was the corn and rice & beans. Conch fritters are a must at 5 for a $1 you can’t beat it! So much food and a very reasonable price. Highly recommend and we will be back before leaving your beautiful island!

This place was very nasty and the food won’t fill you. I ordered cheesy fries and I got a slice of cheese that wasn’t properly warmed on top of my fries. The burger was incredibly small and wasn’t tasty. Also, my friend asked for a quesadilla and she got a hard shell flat taco that was old and had hair in it . I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. When we first got there the tables weren’t cleaned or prepared for other customers. This was my first time dining with The Gap and it will be the last!

They are one of the only spots on the island with hard ice cream. If you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, you can pop up to the drive-thru window. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for their homemade desserts of the day - ice cream flavors, and fresh baked goods.

The staff is very receptive and they pay attention to detail. They moved fans towards us and placed these ontop the tables as some flies had joined the party. They offered bug repellant for the sandflies as well. The food came incredibly fast, so fast that we only had two sips from our margaritas. The drinks are well made with fresh lime and generous booze. The food tasted amazing, as though it had just hopped out of the ocean and into the frying pan. The Cracked Conch and Cracked Lobster are the best.

We made 3 trips to Delish on our week long vacation to Eleuthera! It was always friendly service, and was our favorite food on the island! The menu changes up daily. Definitely worth a visit!

The restaurant was recommended by several friends. So naturally we had to try them out. We visited twice during our stay on the island and we recommend this spot for a good meal. The menu changes daily and is on display on a whiteboard when you enter the restaurant. On our visits, we tried the beef burger, chicken tenders, chicken wings, chicken in a bag with sides of salad, peas and rice, and fries. The food is seasoned with love and you can taste the flavors of the island in every bite. They have an extensive drink menu and although they didn't have the mango cocktail on both days we visited, we enjoyed the margaritas and Moscow mules. The drinks pack a punch by the way. The servers are friendly. However, they are timid and almost afraid to engage with customers. So sometimes it may take a while for them to muster up the courage to come over to your table. The result is slower service. But the food is worth waiting for.

We had an amazing time at Delish! We were greeted the moment we arrived and were seated immediately. The staff were friendly and professional. The view is spectacular and the vibe is so Elutherea! Highly recommend stopping in to this little piece of paradise!!

We were looking for a place to have lunch and this place was recommended to us by a local. What a great place! The food, service and location were amazing. It was my first time having conch and the fresh conch salad definitely set the bar high. We also ordered the lobster wrap, fried rice and chicken wings which were all delicious. Great food! Made a run into town for groceries and got this surprise. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. We managed to try all the smoothies and loved them all! Vegan friendly food and smoothies are available without dairy. You can order ahead, or order and do some shopping. Our order for four meals was placed during a rush and the quoted “about 20 minutes” was spot on.

Absolutely the best!!!! The food is prepared fresh and everything we’ve had taste so so so good. Try sweet and savory as you will not be disappointed. The banana chocolate chips pancakes are the best I’ve ever had. We go at least once a day and sometimes twice!!! The best in all of Eleuthera!!!!!

We ate here every day of vacay. The prices are the best on the island, and so is the food. I recommend the shrimp wrap. Super friendly people is a plus on an island where sometimes I feel like they hate tourism.

Great local spot for take away breakfast and lunch. The owners (husband and wife) are inside the small trailer working their butts off, but even still the wait can be 30 minutes or more at lunch. Get there early! Food was great and maybe the best value in Governor’s Harbour.

Chantel, the owner and chef is such a treat!!!!!!!! My first night there, I had the best Grouper I ever ate! Her salads are amazing and she cooked up the best fries!!! Second night was a perfectly fried chicken quarter with more fries (yum!!!) and that famous salad!! Tomorrow night? I think I’m going back to that Grouper!! This is a marvelous place! I stayed upstairs in a very spacious 1 bedroom apartment and LOVED it! Super clean, awesome views, and a wonderfully comfortable bed!! AC made the whole apartment very cool and comfortable! If you are staying In Eleuthera, you simply must come for the food at Ship to Shore and stay for the wonderful conversation! I love this place! Can’t wait to return!!

I was by my daddy today and we decided to go for a ride. We did some shopping and stuff then we stop by this wonderful place to get something to eat. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Stopped here after a long travel day for some food and drinks. Dee cooked up the best chicken tenders I have had in a long time! We would go back again a couple of nights later and watch some playoff basketball with cold beers/rum drinks. We love Champion’s!

Omg GO HERE!! Dee was amazing, the place has a fun, funky vibe, and the food was SO good. I had the best Ceasar salad of my life here. Dee makes it all from scratch, made to order. Excellent food. Wish we could have stayed longer, this is a place we’d come back to again and again!

We spent the morning at Surfer's Beach and decided to stop in here for lunch on our way out. It was exactly what we needed. Dee was inviting and welcoming, which really came through with her cocktails. She's not only the bartender, but the owner and chef as well. The food was also excellent. We had grouper, a few burgers, and of course, the fries. The bar just has vibes that don't feel forced or catered to tourists. It has a whole lot of character that you'll only feel if you pop in, order a Champions Smash, some fries, and take a seat at the bar while you chat up Dee.

It's a must stop place!! Dee will welcome you with open arms and treat you like family. Everything is freshly cooked to order and the vibe is always food. Great place to catch sporting events on TV. Highly recommend.

Let me tell you a little something about Champions…. I walked in and immediately felt the vibe of a fun, exciting “dive” bar. Started having a couple beverages and it was great. Then we ordered some food. Holy smokes was I blown away with the food from this little bar on top the hill. The best Caesar salad I’ve ever had. It was topped with fried grouper which was incredible. That says a lot from me because I’m a fishermen and I rarely ever order fish from any restaurant. But the Caesar salad topped with fried grouper was out of this world! Oh and the French fries…. LAWD HAVE MERCY! Best I’ve ever had. Dee has got this place going on! Highly highly recommend Champions sports bar and grill!

Stumbled on this place around dinner time and decided to go in to check it out. The music (which you can select yourself with a remote) and disco lights give it a fun vibe. The owner/bar tender/chef/do-it-all woman is the most friendly and welcoming host one could ask for. I suspect that during daylight the outdoor dining with a view adds even more to an already good experience. Enjoy a drink and some casual food, and do not leave without ordering her homemade fries!

This is THE BEST place in Eleuthera!! We had an absolute blast. The food was amazing and I played pool for the first time in years!! Dee is an absolute doll and the prices are so reasonable. The music and atmosphere are spot on. It’s a “must visit” place while in Eleuthera!!!

A must go while in Bahamas. Food it’s always fresh, the staff are always friendly and plus the view and vibes of the whole place is what you want. We always get the conch fritters to start a meal with. The fish tacos are out of this world but every dish that comes out is absolutely superb. From the pork loin dish to the pasta, definitely a must go!

Lunch with Coworkers It was a far drive on an empty stomach, but the food was good. Fritters were really good. Calamari could use a little more seasoning. But the dipping sauces for both were really good. Quesadillas were cheesy but you pay additional for any meat you order. Our server Rimeka was very attentive. I think she was the bartender too. She mixes great drinks. The view is beautiful when you sit on the wrap around deck. The bar had a huge selection. Expect 20% grats on top of VAT I understand that restaurant guests can no longer use the pool. But what i found more puzzling is that in The Bahamas a hotel claims a beach as private property. When did that become acceptable?? There was a huge sign. I definitely need to inquire further

We enjoyed several meals here. It's a relaxing atmosphere. Kat and our waitresses set a friendly tone. The food was delicious! The outside patio has a wonderful ambience and, as a bonus, is dog friendly.

I had the fish tacos for lunch and they were great! I asked for it grilled and the seasoning was spot on. Very nice presentation and excellent flavor. I loved the fries that came with it and the guacamole was fresh too. I could tell the kitchen pays attention to detail. I sat inside which was very clean and squared away. I noticed they have a brand new wooden deck on the sunset side overlooking the beach and surrounded by large palm trees that wood make for a great dinner spot. I’m looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu.

The view from the restaurant was absolutely amazing! Everything was delicious. Especially the conch fritters. Eddy wap drink is strong but so good! Eddy was excellent and very attentive! Amazing experience overall!

It was a lovely place to have a good meal at the cape. Family oriented and very good food.

Clean place with nice selection of drinks. Charging cruise ship prices so don't expect a local experience. Rather, a local view. A gorgeous, picturesque view. I could spend all day there on the secluded beach across the street. Staff wasn't too friendly but not rude. Enjoyed sitting for a drink, taking in their lovely decorated desk.

Best ribs I've ever eaten. Not kidding. Great family owned and operated business with wonderful hospitality in a beautiful setting. Prices very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served.

Good place. the view and atmosphere is great. Although when i went there for some Starbucks coffee, the girl seemed as if she didn't know much so the menu was a bit simple. Also waited so long for conch salad but overall it was good.

This is among the best food on the entire island. Bar tender can handle drinks not on the menu ( lemon drop martini w/ Tito’s ) Fettuccine Alfredo with blackened chicken, ask for a little extra spice your mind will be blown. Grilled grouper is top notch.

We stopped in here to have a late lunch and a cold beer. The waitress was attentive and pleasant. There were no crowds so we were able to sit anywhere and chose the patio. We had a couple beers ordered; the charge was $7/beer, which is high relative to other places we’re been to. We ordered grouper fingers and a well done cheeseburger with fries. A word of caution; check what sides are included in your meal versus what is an extra charge. The fries were $6 extra on the meal. When the meal arrived so did the flies, which are normally not a big deal, however we moved inside to eat without them around. The grouper fingers were OK, not great when compared to other restaurants. It is not clear what the hamburger should have had on it, however it was lacking; in content and pizazz. Few condiments and it was like eating a slab of beef between 2 pieces of bread; with minimal toppings; chose your menu items wisely. A VAT of 10% is expected, yet a 20% gratuity is over the top. Just pay your people properly and price your meal accordingly. Total for 2 - $105 BD…back home this is maybe $45-50.

Had a local tourist guide take us to this gem. 5 stars is not enough for this spot!! We had The Conch Fritters for an app and The Fisherman's Platter for our main. These came as recommendations from Orlad Curtis, our amazing guide (Look him up). The fritters were some of the best I've had...ever! The platter was a fried sampler of lobster, grouper, shrimp, and conch...amazing! Three of us shared, and we were full!! You could not ask for a more beautiful setting.. They offer many different seating options, and we chose the open covered deck. Highly recommended this spot.

This place was awesome to eat at after walking along the beaches all morning. Sat at the bar out back and had some fried fish fingers and fries that were all crisp and tasty. Served with a nice side of tartar sauce. Had a nice selection of beers and mixed drinks. I was happy being an IPA fan that they had a couple choices to pick from. The outside seating area is very nice and spacious with a great view of the Atlantic. We were greeted right away. Food came out quick and all was well!

Great stop after spending the day at lighthouse beach and heading back north. Right on the water and tasty burgers and seafood. Had the Frigate burger and conch fritters. Places to lay out at the water or dine under the palms. Friendly people of Eleuthera service…. Highly recommend!!

Lovely place great bake goods they have an in house baker the food is delicateble with moderate prices the portions are large and the drinks are great ask for Ginger great bartender elegant ambiance easy listening jazz music I have had dinner and breakfast here so far and I will definitely be going back. I have visited this establishment over and over again and I will continue to go the atmosphere is breath taking and of course the food is divine.

Wonderful restaurant on the island! Decor, food, service, bakery all fantastic and we’re so happy we tried it. The portions were large, fresh and reasonably priced. Conch fritters are the best I ever had. Fresh grouper and snapper dinners came with salads too. A dessert to go from a large assortment is a must!

It was extremely dirty and run down inside and alot of flies around, there was one table to sit at, and they didn't look clean enough to sit down on, so we ended up eating in the car. They were also out of almost everything on the menu.

This food is subpar from what good Bahamian food is known for. I ordered 5 conch snacks for take-out just to have something to eat because of traveling all morning. It was not that good. The rice didn’t seem fresh nor did the conch. More like cooked yesterday and reheated. The Cole slaw had too much mayo and was runny. The fries were soggy and needed salt. Lastly, the macaroni was really tough. Out of 5 meals of the same thing, everyone in my party that ate it had similar opinions of the food taste and quality. If you’re really hungry and need something to eat heading from the airport, go ahead and waste your money. If you can wait it out, then that’s what I would do. Also, it took about 40 minutes for the order to be ready.

Do not be deceived by the outside of lack of furniture on the inside. This is a little gem. Order the conch salad, you can watch Ty bring the conch in and Resa will prepare. Take it and sit in the beach or on the dock. I was so hungry I didn’t take a picture but let me tell you it was a taste explosion, cannot recommend it enough.

Stopped in for a drink but also ordered the conch salad which Ty pulled and cleaned right out of the water across the street. Teresa was so helpful with tips of places to go also hooked us up with fritters and sky juice for us to taste. Will be back for sure, probably tomorrow, best experience here so far!!!!!!!!

Teresa and Ty were the best! We tried the conch salad which was soooo fresh and delicious. Teresa even let us sample her conch fritters and skyjuice. Both were delicious. Way better than the other expensive restaurants we tried. So much more bang for your buck. We plan to return again before we leave. Teresa also gave us great tips on buying fresh fish from docks, places to visit, and where not to go! This is definitely a spot to try. Thank you Teresa and Ty!!!

I have been coming to this place for years and I always enjoy their delicious food. I come here most of the time for lunch or to grab some dessert. Lunch will is be ready at 11am so it's best to call ahead so they can save your plate. The food here is go very fast so I recommend coming early around 11am or ordering your food before 12pm. Every day this place has delicious food also something special for each day of the week. I recommend everyone to visit this great place for lunch you will get your money's worth.

You can't beat the price. Cheeseburger and fries, wings and fries, all for $16 total. The burger was tasty. The fries were slightly cool and were not crisp but they were seasoned well. The sweet and spicy wings were served just a little cool and my husband didn't enjoy the flavor profile (he should have ordered hot). All in all, we had a great lunch and we would go back and get more! We sat outside on their benches in a shaded area. Staff was very friendly and provided great customer service.

I would say that Hall’s Deli on Fridays is the place to be. They have the hot plates that differ from their regular menu. This past Friday, they had Oxtail! The prices are very reasonable, as compared to nearby restaurants. There is a line though, starting at about noon, daily. Better to call ahead and pick up after 12p. Their lobby does not support many people. There is also, no places to sit and eat. Takeout only. The food is great, if you can handle the long wait.

Our favorite lunch spot in all eleuthera. The food is great, as well as affordable. Once we get our food, we take it to the nearby blue hole for a beautiful lunch outside. The cheeseburger has great flavor and is served on a fresh bun with lettuce, tomato, and grilled onion. The fish burger is also tasty. My husband was a huge fan of his grouper fingers served with tartar sauce. We also found out recently that they have specials leading up to holidays. For example, they had whole lobsters available for Valentine's, as well as other delicious treats!

Pizza was very good and affordable. Big delicious dessert selection!!

Moxie crew come here whenever we’re in Rock Sound. The grocery store is well stocked and the deli has great food. Pizza on Thur & Fri night. The folks here are great.

I grew up on Eleuthera, and this was the best cracked conch and cracked lobster I've ever had. And large portions too! The Mac n cheese was excellent also. We couldn't stop eating until it was all gone, despite being fullhalf way through. When we were finished we realized we hadn't taken any pictures bc we just dug in and didn't stop! Ms. Angie is amazing and was totally worth the drive from Tarpum Bay just for her meals. We called 15-20 minutes ahead and it was ready for us. Highly, highly recommend.

We stopped in for a quick lunch. The cracked lobster and Mac and cheese was delicious! It was $24 for lunch, roughly $100 less than anywhere else on Eleuthera and portion sizes were larger lol. I would definitely stop again, particularly to grab take out.

We had lunch here and the food was made fresh. We had the ribs and chicken wings, and we chatted with a local gentlemen who told us all about the area. The view is great. Even better- we went for a swim at the beach right next door. There are pine trees that offer shade and large rocks you can sit on, right at the waters edge.

Walter, the owner and chef, was a very nice man! Great food (especially the mahi-mahi), great music, and great view of the water. Right on the beach, so you can go for a swim before and after - we even saw sea turtles sticking their heads above the water! It’s a bit rough around the edges – there’s no menu, so you ask Walter what he has to cook today, and what cocktails he can make. But great experience overall!

Unbelievable hidden gem. Spent an entire day there - go for a swim, sit on the deck (literally, right on/over the beach), have a beer, eat fabulous bbq, grouper, beer, swim, etc. super laid back vibe. Wonderfully nice owner. Prices were so reasonable that I had to ask if he missed something (he didn’t). Food was so good that we took some to go to have for dinner. We are definitely going back in a couple days.

I was on my way down North passing through JC and decided to spin around to check this spot out. It’s a Nice spot the folks were very friendly and very accommodating doing whatever you needed to make sure your conch salad was the way you wanted it before you left. I ordered a tropical conch salad and it was wonderful!! I recommend folks to check this spot out. Oh and you can order by phone also.

My husband and I went to Eleuthera Bahamas and the caretaker of our rental told us we had to try the conch salad, at the hit in James Cistern, so we did. We ordered the tropical version(mildly spicy)and I can’t say enough how good this was! It was absolutely amazing! The young man that made it, was very friendly, and I give him a lot of credit for being able to work so hard in such heat. It was very busy but he made sure to greet everyone, make conversation and show us how he got the conk and prepared it. If you go to Eleuthera YOU HAVE TO go to James Cistern and stop at the conch hut. If I could give 10 stars, I would! It is really that good!

If you get a chance to visit Tammy and her son for a salad, do not miss the opportunity! This is the freshest and tastiest conch salads you will ever have. The conchs are kept underwater until you order. Tammy and her son are masters at their craft and are truly wonderful people. Thanks again!!

Absolutely worth a stop. We ordered the tropical salad and Wayne cracked the conch fresh and got to work making it. Be prepared to wait a bit for your order but once it is ready you are treated to some seriously flavorful, fresh food. We stopped at Juice City Lounge across the street for a drink while we waited - also recommended.
