We stopped here for lunch on our maiden day in Hvar on the recommendation of our hotel concierge at Casa Benita. We had a spectacular culinary experience. Before our appetizer was presented, we were offered a refreshing aperitif of carob-infused chilled brandy. This was so refreshing given the day's temp of 34° C. Next, the chef offered gratis a fried polenta bar that was packed with flavor from multiple herbs and seasonings. For the appetizer we consumed the steak tartar with truffle slices and toasted baguette slices. This far exceeded the steak tartar we had on Split a few days earlier. For the shared main courses, we ordered the black gnocchi with shrimp in truffle sauce, octopus salad and curry risotto with shrimp. All were very delicious and the risotto was prepared to well done as requested. At the end of our meal we were again offered gratis a pine needle infused brandy to wash down our meal. We had three different servers who were most attentive to our dining needs. As for the check, the total amount was discounted 10% because we chose to pay by cash versus card. We highly recommend Dalmatino for anyone visiting Hvar and will certainly return when we come back to Croatia in a few years!

This place not only has great food and service, but they also go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome. My octopus salad portion was generous and tasty, and my husband’s curry shrimp risotto was mild with a rich seafood flavor. During our lunch, they offered us one complimentary small bite and three free drinks—which were really good—plus a 10% discount for paying in cash. Such a great experience!

This has to be one of our best meals in Croatia. The service is so great, they make you feel so welcome and the food was absolutely outstanding. Definitely coming here again while we’re in Hvar! We had the Istria Truffle Gnocchi and Octopus Carpaccio with the chocolate cake for dessert. Dalmatian food is 🤩🤩 and it was perfectly executed at Dalmatino. Highly highly recommend! Don’t skip this if you’re in Hvar!

They definitely have the best black risotto in Old Town Dubrovnik! We ordered so much and nothing disappoints! We had an octopus salad, fish of the day and pasta 💯 The staffs are accommodating as we didn’t have a booking but managed to squeeze us in. So make sure you book ahead of time especially for dinners!

I had an extraordinary dining experience at what might be the finest restaurant I’ve ever visited—a bold claim, but well-earned. The waitstaff operated like a perfectly synchronized team, anticipating every need with precision and warmth. Their knowledge was impressive, and their recommendation of a wine—now my absolute favorite— was spot-on. The truffle gnocchi stood out as exceptional, though every dish was a masterpiece. We capped the evening with espresso-martinis, and cigars, making for an unforgettable finale. This place is a true gem.

My partner and I visited this restaurant last night. I can honestly say this was one of the nicest meals I have ever had eating out. We had the Chateau Briand for the main, and granny's cake for dessert. We were lucky enough to get a table as during peak season this restaurant can be booked up to 3 weeks in advance. The food was excellent. The service was very attentive. Tony and the rest of the team went above and beyond. If you are going to eat anywhere in Hvar town, I would recommend eating in this restaurant. It was an excellent all round experience.

I had the steak fillet here and honestly, it was the best I’ve ever tried – perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The wine selection is amazing and pairs beautifully with the food. The atmosphere is just perfect – elegant yet relaxed, making it an absolutely must-visit spot in Split. Beautiful meal and last night at Split. The best steak and ribs dinner in awhile in Croatia! We had the Black Angus Rib eye and pork ribs with truffled potatoes and vegetables (capsicum, zucchini and mushrooms) on the side, and a bottle of the Italian Solco Toscana Syrah (Awarded best Italian red), went very well with the meal, easy to drink and smooth. Highly recommend this establishment. We enjoyed the atmosphere, with the soft live accoustic. Thank you to Ante, our wait staff for recommending the wine and for the service. Ante was quite, knowledgeable and super kind and friendly. A truly memorable evening for our last night in Split. Sad to be leaving.

The service is extremely friendly, and the food is incredibly delicious – you can easily say this is the best steak in town. The prices may not be the lowest, but the taste and quality are at the highest possible level. We recommend it to everyone, and we will definitely come back when we’re in Split again.

Just brilliant! You should try mixed grill plate for two. Everything so tender, great side dishes and the Service and atmosphere is outstanding as well. Big compliment to our waiter Ivan R.! Of course it’s a bit more expressive than other restaurants, but definitely worth it. In other restaurants you pay 30€ for a steak that doesn’t taste well, so better pay 5-10€ more for an amazing one! We‘ll definitely come back :)

A nice steakhouse in central Split. We ordered the chops grill for two (€68), which included chicken, sirloin steak, and veal. However, the price covers only the meat (sauces and sides must be ordered separately). At that price point, I feel at least fries or another side should be included, as paying extra makes it feel a bit expensive for just the meat. Also, I think I had the most expensive bottle of water of my life at Chops (9€ for a bottle of still water!). I rated the service 4 stars because when the platter arrived, no one explained which cut was which, so we had to figure it out ourselves. In my experience dining at steakhouses across Europe, introducing the cuts is standard practice. The meat was good, really juicy and very well cooked. The sauces (we ordered the bernaise and the truffle sauces) were very tasty too. My partner loved the onion rings, they were super crispy!

One of the friendliest restaurant i have ever been. Really aristocratic high quality restaurant with the friendliest stuff. Food was also tasty and good quality, just i feel that price was a bit high. Recommended

Food was good but there were long waiting times for almost everything. Getting attention of any attendant felt like a lot of work as we had to get up multiple times to ask to be attended. We were served steak without asking how well we wanted it cooked, we also received a wine but wasn't asked what type of wine we wanted. When we asked for the bill, we waited 20 minutes. For the price you pay, the service was below average. I definitely would not come back.

We loved this restaurant so much. The food was delicious, we shared some sushi rolls such as California roll, spicy tuna and avocado roll. We also shared an amazing peach salad, the peaches were fresh and very sweet. My husband said the oysters were excellent and this was the first place we could find oysters available in split. The best part was our waiter Alex, he taught us more about the palace and its history. He was so kind and welcoming. Amazing experience.

Best sushi in Split and possibly ever!!! Perfectly prepared and best presentation ever witnessed. I've had lots of sushi from okay to what I thought was really good, but this was outstanding (new level to beat)! If you are a sushi lover would definitely go here if you are in city! It was expensive but quality was worth every bite. Unfortunately my pics are a little dark but served on ice and temperature was perfect!

We had the best dining experience ever. Such a must try restaurant. John, SUPER MARIO and Maladdin and all the rest of the staff were amazing and great. Food was amazing. Service was AWESOME. Had an amazing time, our server John had a great presence. His recommendations were spot on. The location, service and ambiance is exactly what you want from a relaxed restaurant in the middle of the city. The dishes had harmony in their flavours and we were constantly surprised by how all the extra elements added to our enjoyment of each bite. Highly recommend.

The sushi we had at Adriatic was very tasty. The fish is sourced locally and therefore tastes very fresh. Our waiter Ivo was very kind and professional. Desert options change by day - we had a very nice 'modern' applepie. The terrace is warm and cosy - the perfect date spot.

We came here on a whim for our first nights dinner for our trip in Split. It absolutely blew our expectations— Peter our server took us through a culinary journey from educating us on the local Croatian wine to the unbelievable seafood dishes he recommended us. We had no words for how impressed we were by his service and by the delicious food.

We love Milan! we had missed the ferry and decided to stay in Split and have some food and wine. three hours later one of the most amazing sushi meals and good wine with our amazing server, Milan. Would definitely come again every year forever!

Visited Fig for breakfast and it was absolutely delicious! It’s tucked away in a quiet, cobblestone alley, and they don’t take reservations. Luckily we found an open table. The service was amazing and everyone was so lovely. We had the avocado toast with eggs and bacon, and the bacon was cooked to perfection. Definitely add this place to your list when you’re in Hvar

Love this place. Reviews are right, excellent food worth the wait. Made enjoyable by a glass of wine and chat with others to pass it by. Wine local and we'll chosen, food excellent. We had fig and cheese bread and chilli chicken burrito. Latter won out, very taste and we'll marinated. Staff friendly and fun. 5 * plus for us.

A true hidden gem tucked away in the alleys of Hvar! After wandering around for a while looking for a place to eat, we stumbled upon this small restaurant — and it turned out to be one of the best surprises of my trip. The flavors were outstanding, the service was warm and attentive, and both my friend and I had our expectations exceeded. Finally, a place in Croatia where portion size, quality, and price are perfectly balanced. Highly recommended!

We had a nice experience at Fig - cut off from the main areas, giving you a quiet atmosphere in a narrow road and avoiding the hustle and bustle that the summer evenings in Hvar brings along. The food was very nice - maybe a tad pricy for the portion size, but very tasty. We took a BBQ burger and a Vegetarian burger. We also tried one of their freshly squeezed juices which was really nice; orange lemon and ginger. Staff were very sweet, polite and helpful. Recommended!

Located in a gorgeous little alley right past the port, the food is simply delicious. Seating is limited, but in the off season there is usually still no wait. A perfect stop if you need a break for a night to try something different than the local Mediterranean & Italian cuisines. If you are an American and hesitant to try something new, this is a great spot for familiar eats with a lovely Croatian twist. Everything was delicious and far exceeded our expectations. I had the chicken burrito and she had the Korma. For an appetizer we split sweet potato fries.

Amazing Experience! Our dinner was just incredible from beginning to end! The service was spot on, everyone was super kind and welcoming. The food was fantastic (we went for the 7 course menu), and my absolute favorite was the octopus, hands down the best I’ve ever had! We paired everything with Croatian wines, and each one was just perfect. Honestly, I have no idea why ZOI doesn’t have at least one Michelin star, it totally deserves one!

Zoi is a beautiful restaurant right by the sea with an amazing atmosphere. The food is creative and delicious, using fresh local ingredients with a modern twist. The service is friendly and professional, and the views over the promenade make the experience even more special. A bit pricey, but definitely worth it for the quality and setting.

My two friends and I tried the tasting menu, and it was a complete letdown. For the high price, you get tiny portions—mostly foams and garnishes with barely any substance. The beef was drowning in an overly salty gravy, and one dish was served on dry grass that had *live ants crawling out of it*. The flavor combinations were just as bad. The "spicy octopus with cream" tasted like a terrible mistake—imagine eating something reminiscent of vomit. Even after seven courses, we left hungry (no surprise they tack on two desserts to compensate). Save your money and skip this—it’s not worth the regret.

Zoi offers very good food, both in taste and presentation, and the setting is beautiful. However, the service fell short of the standard one would expect in such a restaurant. When our waitress asked if we enjoyed the meal, we replied positively, only to receive the comment: “Obviously, you licked the plates.” While perhaps intended as a joke, it came across as unprofessional and left us uncomfortable. With food and ambiance at this level, a bit more refinement and professionalism in service would make the overall experience truly exceptional.

I and my husband had a lovely date night at this wonderful restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed warmly and our server was just perfect. We learnt a lot about the wine options, the vineyards, the grape etc before we chose. We chose the 3 course al a carte menu which was just delicious. The presentation of the food was simply a form of art!! The atmosphere and the view was incredible and to know we were sat on the terrace of a 1700 year old palace walls just made it all that more special! A lovely memory we will take away from Split!

Located by the old port area of Dubrovnik, this restaurant sits beautifully under the stone arches overlooking the small harbour — a lovely spot with great views. It’s part of the same group that runs other well-known places like Panorama, Dubravka 1836, and the fine-dining restaurant Nautika. We hadn’t made a booking but managed to get a table in the second row facing out through the arches. The setting was charming and ideal for a relaxed lunch or early dinner. We started with a glass of white wine and some bread. The bread selection (€3) included three different types — reasonable but nothing special, and we didn’t end up eating much of it. Prices overall were on the higher side, even by European standards. For the main course, I had the cuttlefish on a bed of potato purée with a squid ink sauce. This dish was excellent — perfectly cooked with a tender interior and crispy exterior, and the black squid sauce added great flavour, though I wish there had been a bit more of it. Service was friendly and professional. Our waitress, Draga, and the hostess, Maya, were both helpful , and I particularly appreciated that they offered a small tasting before ordering a glass of wine — a nice touch. Overall, Gradska Kavana Arsenal offers a beautiful setting and solid food, with standout seafood and good service, though prices are a bit above average for what you get.

This restaurant was the best we’ve been in Old Town. Walking around we’ve booked a table and came back 2h later. Absolutely helpful staff. Food was great. Squid done perfectly, grilled not fried. Same with octopus or veal. You might be surprised with fish soup which doesn’t include any pieces of fish inside. Great view on small harbour and part of walls. Prices are really reasonable. Especially compared with restaurant behind the corner where cocktails ware twice more expensive.

Incredible view, excellent food & great wine selection. Our server Stjepan was very knowledgeable. He paired our food with different local white wines. The food itself is incredible, recommended by locals. My husband had the seafood stew and I had the set menu from the Good Food Festival. Very fresh ingredients and the flavors are well balanced. And it’s such elegant place!

This restaurant should be an absolute must for anyone staying in Dubrovnik. Make a reservation and sit next to the water/docks and watch the ships come and go. Probably our favorite meal the entire trip. Also, plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options. The staff is mindful of dietary restrictions.

The food is excellent, I had the fish stew from daily catches, my partner had the fillet steak (rare) and we shared the tomato pasta. The fish was fresh and incredible, the steak was perfectly cooked and very tasty, and the pasta while simple was delicious. The service goes above and beyond. You eat either just off the Main Street or looking over the harbour. You couldn’t ask for a better location, the only reason we knocked the atmosphere down a star was the music volume was low for us (a personal preference) and since we were in off season we had to seat off the Main Street rather than over the harbour.

Had the traditional black risotto and the local Dubrovnik crème brûlée. Both were good. The black risotto was 4.5/5 (could have used a bit more cuttlefish, but the cream was a brilliant topping!) and the crème brûlée was 4/5. Though, what made this a 5 star dining experience was hands down — the considerate and attentive staff (especially as I’ve noticed some small differences in treatment based on skin colour in parts of Croatia). MARIJA was my server and he was incredibly hospitable, respectful, attentive, funny and made me feel very welcome. He even put the dessert - on the house! The best server I’ve seen across in Croatia.

Great location in the Old Town of Split, in a shaded spot where even on hot summer days you don’t feel the heat too much. The service was excellent – very friendly and attentive waiters. The dishes arrived quickly, and the staff always made sure to ask if everything was okay. When it comes to the food, compared to other Croatian restaurants in Split, this one really stands out. The meals are not just typical tourist-oriented dishes, but carefully prepared from high-quality ingredients with a lot of passion. Starters, main courses, and desserts – everything was absolutely delicious. We were served by a waiter named Luka, who was extremely helpful and made the experience even better. Highly recommended!

Fantastic dinner spot in Split, easily our favorite meal during our 5-night stay! Our server, Toni, was outstanding and gave excellent recommendations. We had the goat cheese salad, filet, ribeye, and ravioli. All perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Be sure to save room for dessert! We started with the Lemon & Raspberry Tart and the Warm Mascarpone Cake, both incredible, and ended up adding the Tiramisu alla Portofino (a deconstructed tiramisu) every bite was perfection. Highly recommend!

I had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. The customer service was outstanding – every staff member was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. A special mention goes to the manager “Toni”, who is such a lovely person with an amazing positive attitude. He really makes the atmosphere feel warm and inviting, which makes the dining experience even better. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the whole vibe of the place. Service: Great experience with Toni! We had a lovely dinner for 11 of us and the staff did an excellent job keeping us served. Ambiance: Situated in lovely quad…great outdoor experience. Lighting is perfect. Food is solid. My favorite was the goat cheese salad. Desserts are creative and tasty. Beautifully played.

We really enjoyed our evening at Portofino. The place felt very calm and cozy. The servers were super professional and made us feel well taken care of. My tuna steak looked amazing, and while I’d have liked a bit more punch in the flavor, it was still really good. The lemon and raspberry tart was the perfect dessert. Overall it was a great experience, far from the typical tourist spots. Edit: We returned to Portofino on our final evening in Split, and it once again exceeded expectations. It easily stood out as the best restaurant we visited during our trip. The staff (Atanas) even remembered allergies from our first visit. We’ve tried most of the menu now, and everything was delicious. Definitely a must-visit if you get the chance.

We went there for the grilled octopus but found out that it was only available for lunch. Nonetheless, the monk fish carpaccio and lobster bisque were delicious. The filet mignon and lamb rack were both excellent. Service was great!

Serves some decent options with the pizza being the clear standout – fresh, flavorful, and easily the best item on the menu. They offer some halal chicken choices, which is a plus. The chicken burger was average, and the chicken tortilla (doner) leaned a bit too salty for my taste. Prices are on the higher side for a fast food joint, but overall, a decent spot if you’re craving good pizza and need halal options.

Wanted to give a review because I was soo impressed by this restaurant while on vacation in Dubrovnik. We loved the location & were taking a walk & decided to come into this restaurant. All I can say is the food was phenomenal!! And the service was even better!! We had the sweetest guy Milan taking care of us! 🍕 Tutto Bene Dubrovnik: A Double Delight! ​Tutto Bene Dubrovnik truly lives up to its name ("All Good")! I went twice and was consistently impressed. ​The service was excellent and the price was very reasonable both times. ​I tried the food on two different occasions: a pizza one day and the tagliatelle pasta on the other. Both were fantastic. ​If you're in Dubrovnik, make sure to stop here for great food and a positive experience!

The Greek salad was really fresh and tasty definitely the highlight of the meal. The burger was average: the bacon a bit overcooked and the patty quite neutral in flavor. Still, a nice spot for a quick bite with good service and fair prices.

The last thing we were looking for was fast food on our last night. We had eaten so much on our trip through Dubrovnik that we just wanted something light. We ordered a couple of chicken gyros and a Greek salad. The gyros were a little light on the chicken, but plenty of filling. It was an interesting Greek salad as I’ve never had sliced pickles in one before, and it also had big chunks of feta. We were able to eat it, but didn’t feel the best afterwards.

The crispy chicken and chips were absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked, juicy inside with a golden crunch outside. The portion was generous and the chips were fresh and tasty. The burger was just as good – full of flavour, well-seasoned, and really satisfying. Great food, great value, will definitely be back again!

The best shrimp tagliatelle I've ever had! It's amazing! Everyone who ate it loved their meals! We recommend it! The drinks are also very good; the Mai Thai is delicious.

Great sushi spot in Old Town Dubrovnik! The fish was very fresh and prices were fair considering the usual Old Town markup. Definitely book a reservation in advance—otherwise you could be waiting 20–35 minutes for a cancellation or no-show. Worth the stop if you’re craving sushi in Dubrovnik.

We came across Bota Šare Oyster & Sushi Bar thanks to a local recommendation, and we’re so glad we went. It was also our very first time trying oysters – and what a perfect place to do so! The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, attentive without ever being pushy. The oysters were fresh and delicious, and the sushi was beautifully prepared. On top of that, we got a great recommendation for a local Croatian wine that paired perfectly with the meal. The setting itself is lovely, tucked away in a side street of Dubrovnik, which adds to the charm. All in all, this place is a definite recommendation! 🦪

Very cosy restaurant tucked away by the perimeter of the Old Town wall with a lovely ambiance. It is highly recommended to book a table a day in advance, as it is a small restaurant and most of the tables were occupied each night we dined in. The friendly staff were very welcoming and prompt in their service. The sushi offered is a mixture of traditional and fusion products. All of them are delicious, so it really depends on individual preferences. Personally, I fancied the fried Philadelphia sushi which is something I haven't tried before but thoroughly enjoyed because of the delicate balance between crispy exterior and soft interior! We loved the food and service so much, we came back a second time to enjoy one more meal tonight before leaving Dubrovnik. Thank you for the lovely experience!

We came for the oysters and stayed for everything else. The fresh oysters were top-tier—clean, briny, and exactly what you hope for in Dubrovnik. We ordered a full spread: amberjack ceviche, tuna nigiri, nigiri hot sake, spicy tuna roll, salmon skin roll, agemaki fantasy, and the fried Philadelphia roll. Everything was very good, but three things stood out: the oysters, the spicy tuna roll, and the fried Philadelphia. Those were next-level. Staff were genuinely friendly—not just polite, but actually warm and helpful. No attitude, no rush. They made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. If you’re in Dubrovnik and want fresh seafood with a Japanese twist, this place delivers. No gimmicks, just solid food and good people.

Superb restaurant for a variety of sushi and sashimi as well as other seafood. We particularly liked the spicy tuna roll and the dynamite shrimp salad which was a generous portion as well. Friendly service, and the prices are fair for the quality, and worth it compared to other more touristy spots in the Old Town.

Good location, but the sushi wasn't authentic at all …guess I had my expectations too high. The langoustines were decent and quite fresh, but the service wasn't great, so I'm giving it 3 stars

Exquisite food and amazing service. You can almost feel like a royalty, with the “butlers” swirling around and doing their best to leave a lasting impression. We enjoyed gazpacho (superb), veggies burger and beef “pasticada”. Staff speaks fluent English and it was great that the place offered baby chairs & silicon plates for the kids, since we’re travelling with our 14 months daughter. Wholeheartedly recommended!!! Special thanks to Gino for exemplary service. We will definitely come back, if we are in Zadar in the future.

Our experience at the Garden Lounge was amazing from start to finish. Our server Luka was great. He was very polite and had excellent knowledge of menu items. The food was also top tier! We have been to several different stops on our European vacation and this was overall the best dinning experience! If I ever make it back to Zadar I will definitely visit again!

The food was nice and the waitress was very good at promoting food and drinks. The decor of the restaurant and the atmosphere were all good. However compared to some other restaurants we have been to in Zadar and many other cities in Croatia, I would said the price was a bit high.

We absolutely loved the food, wine, and cocktails. Agim was wonderful! The dishes were incredibly fresh, flavorful, and simply melted in the mouth. Thank you for such a great experience — we’ll definitely be coming back!

This place is walk-in only and as soon as you step inside you’re amazed by how beautiful it is. The service is impeccable. This Tuesday we were served by Mia, who was incredibly kind and attentive to every request. We had a dreamy pasticada and also tried the pulled pork burger, which wasn’t really my taste but that’s just personal. The homemade tea is definitely worth trying. Prices are what you’d expect for the quality and location, and overall it was a great experience.

The service in the restaurant was very good. The salt mixed with olive oil to put on the bread was handmade and very tasty. The starter of prawns, tuna and swordfish was very tasty and made use of the ingredients as they are. The risotto and pasta we had as a main course were also delicious. The quality of the restaurant was excellent, without being spoilt by the richness of being in the old town. I would definitely recommend it!

A lovely venue with open air/closeable courtyard in the Palace precinct close to the Cathedral. The food was perfect. Great flavour combinations and perfectly seasoned and dressed. Great wine and sparkling wine options, we tried all 3 of the local bottles and enjoyed every one of them, especially the rosé. The service was impeccable Alex our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. We are staying just around the corner and will be back. They have great seafood and steak options also...as we observed and chatted to another Aussie couple who were thoroughly enjoying their swordfish tartar , eye fillet steak and truffle risotto. We and they had the Tomato Mozzarella di Bufala with peach and basil that was superb and our beefsteak salad was really good.

I’m not at all surprised by the many positive reviews for this restaurant — it truly deserves them. The food was outstanding, both in flavor and presentation. The service was exceptional; our waiter was attentive and genuinely cared about our experience. Although the prices are similar to other restaurants in the Split city center, the level of professionalism and service here felt like a true fine dining experience. Highly recommended!

We ordered truffle pasta, steak, cocktails and Rakija. Pasta was absolutely delicious. The best pasta I have had so far. It was with real truffle mushrooms. Steak was also delicious. Decent cocktails. We were too full for dessert, but wanted to finish with a sweet tooth so tried the tiramisu. Perfectly balanced sweetness and enough for sharing. Our server was so good. Too bad I can’t remember his name. But this gentlemen explained our Rakija options very well and helped us picking the finest to our likes.prices are above average but well worth the fine dining atmosphere.

Elegant restaurant located in the center of the old town in Split right next to Diocletian's Palace. Particularly noteworthy is the extremely courteous and very professional service and, of course, the dishes. The food is served very elegantly with interesting side dishes. I recommend the sea bass fillet and steak. Definitely a place worth recommending.

Great atmosphere - one of the rarest outdoor non-smoking setting. Amazing food & wine. Great service. Professional - loved the gloves when they are serving food. We had: Smoked swordfish carpaccio Pear and gorgonzola salad Istrian Pljukanci with prosciutto, porcini mushroom and black truffle Pinot noir galic - great recommendation! And surprise cherry liquor after food. Highly recommended!

The spring rolls were very oily when you cut into them - the temperature of the oil must not have been correct. However, the beef fillet was delicious!!!! If you get anything you have to get that. Tuna was delicious and the gluten free cake was great.

We visited the restaurant by the recommendation of our host. The setting is very contemporary, quiet and warm. Our waitress was super welcoming. She explained more details about the different dishes which helped my parents decide what to get. Each meal had unique flavors and a great presentation. Loved it!

One of the most exceptional restaurants in Dubrovnik. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was absolutely outstanding – every dish was bursting with flavor and prepared with the freshest ingredients. We ordered beef and fish steak, salad, bread and almond brittle - divine.

Pantarul was a peaceful escape just outside Dubrovnik 🍷✨ I came on a weekday evening with a reservation but noticed they had room for walk-ins too. The space was quiet, clean, and welcoming. The fish tartare came out on a warm plate, which was such a thoughtful touch 🐟🔥—fresh and full of flavor. The beef tagliata was tender and paired beautifully with the pepper jam 🥩🌶️. I tried the octopus special too, which was super fresh, though the cheese on top was a bit too much for me 🐙🧀. Ended on a high note with the whipped caramel almond brittle—so light and fluffy with the perfect crunchy sweet topping 🍮✨ While everything was tasty, the prices made it a bit hard to justify overall. Still, worth a visit if you’re looking for a calm, elevated meal outside the city!

Excellent tasting menu with matched (mostly local) wines. Very engaging waiter happy to offer suggestions and answer questions. Very well paced serving, too. Never rushed to finish a course or wait for the next.

It is an incredible experience with excellent service and fantastic wine options. I even got to meet the chef which was pretty exciting. The food was very unique and showcased incredible skill and taste. We had a nice view and will definitely come back if ever back in Dubrovnik.

Overall, a great experience. Some courses lacked the “wow” factor, but overall the menu was creative and enjoyable. The highlights were definitely the sea urchin, ravioli and the octopus — all exceptional. The biggest miss was the bread, which was quite dry and chewy. It was also a bit odd to receive a sweet palate cleanser before the entrée. The dessert was ok. Putting something that is not edible on it (the star anise) was odd. Service was friendly and fast.

This really is a phenomenal and noteworthy Restaurant. Our waiter Daniel was fabulous, he delivered a high end and professional service. I wasn't expecting all of the extras like the duck Confit and sea urchin amuse bouches, or the foie gras Ferrero roche and snail coffee shots. The chef came and checked on our experience and added the lobster nectar to our mains. The octopus starter was honestly the most amazing octopus I've ever tasted. It wasn't just a party in my mouth it was a full on festival of flavour and celebration. An absolute must visit if you're ever in Dubrovnik I would 100% return.

Excellent dishes. Octopus was prepared to a level I’ve never had. Not chewy, slight sweet and nutty. Well balanced dish with chickpeas olives etc. The restaurant is curated to a level consistent and expected from Michelin guide restaurants down to the lighting, live music and 10/10 service. Not stuffy, pushy just a laid back atmosphere that will keep you coming back when you’re in Split. Highly recommended

Just amazing! Highly recommend Zinfandel for an amazing meal and evening out in Split. The food was delicious and they were able to cater to my dietary requirements (including dairy and some seafood) without any issue or compromise on flavour. The wines were all superb and the waiter gave great recommendations and information about everything we tried. There was also live music, which made for a great atmosphere.

I’m from Toronto and I’ve come to Split the last two years in a row and Zinfandel is always a non-negotiable restaurant. The food is amazing and the staff is so amazing and hospitable. They remembered me and my friend from the year before and welcomed us with warm greetings. This most recent year, 2025, we went a total of 3 times within a span of 24 hours. They are also amazing with accommodating to gluten-free and dairy-free restrictions. Big thank you to Igor who remembered us from last year. Also thank you to Leon and Marina who served us this year also.

Food was sublime. Every dish we tried was fantastic. Ingredients and combinations work so well. Service was fast and professional. Only cons was that the live music was a bit too loud. Otherwise, the best experience we had in our trip. Will not hesitate to come back if I ever return to Split.

We came across Zinfandel from the Michelin guide. We were very excited to give it a try. We had the lunch deal (two courses for €29). We had - cauliflower mushroom starter (mushrooms were extremely salty) - pesto risotto (there were supposed to be shrimps inside, I got two very very small pieces) - beef burger was actually nice - dessert was supposed to be a chocolate tart, it was very disappointing the only option they advertised wasn’t available for lunch, we had the cannoli, it was a bit too hard. Service was slow, we received a discount as a compensation. Overall, our experience did not match the Michelin recommendation.

We ate the muscles with figs, which was for me a bit of a strange combination. The fish and steak afterwards was very good. The service was good. The restaurant was fully booked, but you could still talk, even with the live singer that did a great job. We sat at the window and the garbage collector passed 2 times which gave an unpleasant smell.

No wonders why this restaurant is listed on the Michelin Guide 🤩🤩 The people here can’t be nicer, they gave me a good table for my birthday, live music, and great service 👏🏻 The food is amazing, I took the tasting menu with pairing (Delicious Croatian wines) and it was fantastic. We started with the tuna tartar, then a green risotto, next the main course was the Hama fish, and to finish this experience, the kadif caneloni. Book your table in advance, specially in summer, you can do it easily from their website.

Maybe the best restaurant here! We were so fortunate to choose 360 for our anniversary dinner. The food was excellent — some of the dishes were among the best we’ve ever had. The view of the city walls was amazing. Loki was our server, and he was so kind and attentive, taking care of every detail. The sommelier lady also did a great job — sorry, I forgot her name. We will definitely come again!

Booked a few weeks prior to visiting Dubrovnik, and located within the city walls. The restaraunt is located below the street entry, at port level but not open to the port view. A very nice atmosphere inside and incredible service from the moment you arrive. As you would expect from. A Michelin star restaurant, the food is superb and a real treat. Needing little description as to have a Michelin star it is always going to be very special. A choice between "S" 1st or 2nd, main & desert, "M" 1st, 2nd & main, or "L" 1st, 2nd, main & desert. Or the al a carter option. The food is plentiful, served with perfectly cooked bread, and book ended with an appetiser and petit fours, so the "L" option involves a lot of food. The service is exemplary and a big part of the experience, making the whole thing extra special. I gave 4 stars, purely on the basis of price. I understood the pricing before I went, and was happy to pay for an amazing experience, but as with everything inside the city walls the cost does seem excessive. However, I understand that to run a restaurant like this requires a lot of good staff and expertise so this is just an observation and didn't detract from a great food experience.

I have so much to say I’m not sure where to even start. The view from the top of the wall was breathtaking. The food was delicious, i’m not usually a guy that likes small little expensive plates but everything was perfect. From the starters from the kitchen that day to our main meal to our complimentary dessert everything was so delicious. The tortellini was the best i’ve ever had. And the service was excellent, what you would expect from a michelin star restaurant. Definitely pricey and you will leave a little hungry but totally worth it in my opinion.

I have to say, I had a pina colada to experience how this Michenlin star restaurant would present this popular coctail and I was not left disappointed! Pure class! The food - just exquisite, we had the chefs taster menu! The presentation was like a work of art and flavours were just incredible! All ingredients complimenting each other beautifully! I managed to snag a front-row outdoor table for one at 6 p.m. on Saturday, 11 October, at the last minute — just a week in advance. I was so lucky! The pre-authorization of the credit card was straightforward, and no money was charged. When I arrived, the maître d’ seated me promptly. The view was spectacular! Overall, the service was immaculate. I ordered the small portion — one appetizer, one main dish, and one dessert — which cost €138. My lemonade-based mocktail was wonderfully refreshing. For a one-star Michelin restaurant in Europe, the price for such exquisite food was very reasonable and worthwhile.

This was our first stop for dinner on our honeymoon and it was exceptional. The atmosphere of the restaurant is unlike any other dining experience you will have. The service staff was top notch. Even though we did not do the tasting menu - our entire meal was set up in the style of one! Their menu has some of the freshest fish we have ever had - very clear as to why this place has 1 Michelin star. Thank you for one of the best dining experiences!

We dined at Nautika with high expectations, drawn in by its Michelin star reputation, stunning seaside location, and glowing reviews. And in many ways, the experience delivered. The food was truly excellent - each dish beautifully composed and full of flavour. The view alone is worth noting: a cinematic backdrop of a wooden sailboat gliding across the water, alpine swifts darting overhead, and a front-row seat to one of the most picturesque vistas in Dubrovnik. We were fortunate to enjoy our table for a leisurely three hours, which allowed us to truly settle in and soak up the setting. The staff were warm, gracious, and professional throughout, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like the complimentary dessert bites and a sweet pomegranate liqueur to end the meal. That said, a few service details fell short of the fine dining standard one might expect at this price point. Our very kind sommelier seemed somewhat flustered - two of the wine pairings arrived mistimed, one after the dish and one well before. Our water glasses were left empty for long stretches early in the meal, and our napkins weren’t refolded when we left the table. Small things, perhaps, but they add up in a place that markets itself on perfection. In the end, we had a memorable evening, and the food was without fault. But with such a lofty reputation, I was hoping for just a bit more polish. Still, if you’re looking for an unforgettable setting and exquisite flavours, Nautika offers both - just know that your expectations may need a touch of calibration.

My jaws literally dropped when they showed us to the table. The views were stunning. Go early so you can see the the transition from day to night and watch the birds soaring effortlessly. The food became incidental in that glorious setting but were overall of a good standard

Ante and Nautika was absolutely fantastic. My fiance and I just recently got engaged, and so this was our engagement dinner. Atmosphere was incredible, food was perfect, and the entire staff treated as like royalty. They let us be comfortable which is what you want at a fine dining restaurant. Overally, 6/5 star, Ante is a 20/5 star.

Arrived at 7:00 PM on Sep 24th, 2025. Overall, the food and service were good, but when I pointed out a fly in the red wine, the sommelier with the thick glasses and a receding hairline joked, “A fly! Flies know good wine too,” and never apologized. Then, instead of bringing a new bottle, they poured me the sediment from the bottom of the remaining red wine. I felt the sommelier's level was not matching the restaurant's standard. While satisfied with other aspects, I sincerely hope for improvement. I write this review hoping it reaches the attention of the restaurant's management.

Have been there the other day. The view is stunning when we walked in we were seated at a table overlooking the bay. I saw waiters chatting with customers and taking pictures for customers. I thought it would be a wonderful night. But there was no waiter chatting with us because we do not drink wine, when they realized they would not be upselling the wine to us they completely lost interest in our table. Even the waiters watched us take group photos, they did not offer to help. So rude, it felt a bit elitist to be honest. The food was just ok the service is not good at all. Please prepare to spend a few hundred per person or you will be ignored by staff, it was not particularly busy at the time but all staff were focused on a single other table.

An unforgettable fine dining experience! Nautika exceeded all our expectations — from the breathtaking views to the exceptional food and service. Every dish was beautifully presented, and the quality was simply outstanding. The flavors, textures, and attention to detail were on par with — if not better than — several Michelin-starred restaurants we’ve tried around the world. And that says a lot, considering we’re residents of the UAE and have experienced some top-tier dining. The staff were not only professional and attentive, but also genuinely warm, friendly, and even a bit entertaining — which added a relaxed charm to the refined setting. The view overlooking the Adriatic and the city walls made the evening even more magical. Without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences we’ve had — highly recommended for anyone visiting Dubrovnik.

Views from of the old walls and fortress from the terraces were superb and the service level was unquestionable. We had both tasting menus avaion the day and whilst some courses were exceptional overall I'd say you're paying mostly for the location and experience they offer rather than the food itself.

We have eaten in a lot of restaurants all over Europe and this is one of the best that we will never ever forget for the excellent experience. This restaurant is also quite popular with the locals. Food is so fresh and the service is top notch. You can tell that the food was cooked with passion and there is a soul in the taste of the food. Service was great and everyone was so hospitable. Worth every penny we spent and highly recommended. It is a shame I wasn't able to come back for my birthday but will definitely visit again when we go back to Dubrovnik.

Wow. Words cant describe how amazing the food is at Tavern Bonaca. The best and freshest seafood in whole of Croatia. We ate squid, octopus and seafood risotto. Everything was scrumptious. And ended the day with the delicious chocolate cake. Everyone who loves seafood must eat at Tavern Bonaca and they will never forget such amazing food experience .

Had a great meal, the waiter was incredibly friendly and got my food to the table really quickly! Had the beef stew which was delicious! It would be awesome if there were some Croatian desserts because I would have definitely had some!

What a lovely restaurant, we have been rather disappointed in the food Dubrovnik has to offer, this place has changed our mind completely. Lovely small, family run restaurant, beautiful view. The black risotto is fantastic, the fish platter is amazing. The team are all lovely and recognised us on our second visit. Absolutely worth a trip, we are from London and spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants, this place is an absolute gem! Book a table, you won’t be disappointed!

I'll say it, best meal I've ever had while traveling! We ordered the pork peka which is cooked under an iron bell. You must order this the day before and you will want reservations! The pork and potatoes were to die for! We also had the doughnuts with cream cheese as an appetizer and the beef soup. The service was incredible and the staff were so nice! Don't miss out on this experience, this place is one you will never forget!

We had an amazing experience at the restaurant. First, you have a slalom looking road leading to the top of the mountain where the restaurant rests- the views are stunning and if you time it for sunset time - the view will get only better Our waitress, Zorana (I hope I spelled her name correctly), was fantastic- very friendly and helpful As for the food, what an experience - the slow cooked dishes had to be pre-ordered we had six portions ordered and another BBQ platter and all of this for 12 people and we still didn’t manage to finish it all The food was very good, if you like veal and lamb or pork you’re sorted and if not than there’s some chicken as well - we did have a couple of people who didn’t like the veal just because they don’t like veal nothing to do with the restaurant We got a free liqueur shoot to start which also set the whole spirits of the people - it was cheery from the get go If we had another night we would have gone again, certainly worthwhile the efforts going outside of the note

Rustic country side dining delivers on flavor and amounts of food. You have to order the Peka in advance since it takes long time to cook. Servera are very knowledgeable and friendly and will guide you to the right selections. Don't miss the doughnuts!!!!

Wonderful meal at Konoba Dubrava, really lovely on our descent from the top of Mount Srd. Good food, good drinks, good setting and good service. Make sure you pre order the meat and potatoes meals cooked on the fire (3 hour prep), lamb was delicious but too much for one, sharing recommended.

I had the mixed Peka. The portion was very generous. Was sad to leave some leftovers. The meat in general was very tender. Especially the lamb which melted in my mouth. The ribs was a little overcooked and started to dry. The red wine was good and the atmosphere was great. There was some live music in the other dining room and I was sad to be seated by the entrance but the waiter was really nice and I moved there for drinks afterwards. Access it's a little tricky but an Uber/Bolt ride does the trick. Location is beautiful and the kitchen tour was well received. Prices are reasonable for what you get. It would be 30% more down in the old city.

Must try if you're in Dubrovnik! Different fare compared to what you'll find in the Old City. Their specialty is peka, a dish of braised meat and potatoes cooked under an iron bell. Absolutely delicious and very hearty! We had a large group, so were able to try the lamb, veal, and pork--all were really good. The potatoes that come with the dish were amazing since they soak up all the meat juices. Booking a reservation is recommended as peka takes 3 hours to cook and preordering is recommended. They have other items on the menu, but we came for the peka, which was very generously portioned. And the staff were really friendly. Can't recommend this place enough!

Super lucky to have had the chance to taste the Pekka because someone else cancelled their order. Need to order ahead of time though - takes 3 hours to make. It’s amazingly tasty, juicy, tender. Tried the mixed pork and lamb. And Marco took us to the kitchen to show us how it’s made. Got to try.

This is the most WONDERFUL restaurant in Split! It was so good that my husband and I came twice for dinner (in our three night stay). Everything was prepared to perfection. You must get one of the tarte flambe (the goat cheese and fig was awesome) and the burrata and grilled peach salad (DELICIOUS), and EVERYTHING we had was incredible. The service is amazing -- so attentive and generous! We loved the staff. And we also enjoyed meeting some of our friendly fellow diners. Overall, I can't recommend this place more highly. It made our time in Split excellent!!!

What an excellent experience! The restaurant itself has a whimsical and de delightful ambience. There’s indoor and outdoor seating The service was excellent. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, passionate about the food, and friendly. I had a glass of the red cuvée Which I loved. My husband and I shared the chefs platter that focused on a selection of different charcuterie, cooked meats, vegetables, and olives It was a wonderful tour of Dalmatian inspired foods. Every piece of meat was cooked perfection as with the vegetables For dessert, we had the lemon tiramisu and The plum crumble. They were a beautiful balance of sweet and acidic. We highly recommend you come here for a unique and delicious experience

Our dinner at Ćiri Biri Bela was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We ordered the whipped spicy feta dip, hot honey halloumi, lamb chops, chicken kabob, scallops with garlic butter, and grilled vegetable kabob, and everything was incredible. The restaurant has a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff made us feel right at home. It’s clear they put care into every detail, from the presentation to the locally sourced ingredients. Easily one of the best meals we’ve had in Split and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

We had a room on the other side of the street and had breakfast here a few times when there was no queue. You usually have to wait for a table, but it's worth it. The breakfast is awesome, the service perfect. We alleays felt welcome and had a great time. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the products offered. Fresh & yummy.

Came here for breakfast as it was recommended by the host of the place I was staying at. And it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I ordered the Mushroom Croque and it came nicely done with LOTS of mushrooms, caramelized onions, pickled cucumbers and nicely topped with cheesy that pulls and stretches - promising a yummy bite! I overheard the next table saying it looks good (PS: They were right!) See photo (was too good to resist a first bite! Only realised belatedly that I should take a photo to remind myself of this delicious dish!) 100% recommend this place.

This place is by far the best breakfast in Split. There were so many options and the food was simply delicious. The staff were very accommodating to adjustments in the menu. It wasn’t just about quantity here, it was the quality too! Everything was unreal and I left feeling satisfied and absolutely stuffed! Coffees were also great! I also can’t believe how reasonable the price was for the variety, quantity and quality of the food! Would love to go again sometime soon.

Both the sushi and the pork ribs were delicious. Portions are big. One of our best meals in Croatia. Service was also good. The restaurant is located on the left side of the promenade which appeared quieter in Oct. However, it allows you to take pictures of the town & yielded beautiful photos of the palm trees in the setting sun.

Very disappointing experience. This restaurant is absolutely not vegetarian-friendly. I asked for a poke bowl without meat, and the waiter suggested tofu — but the tofu came covered in a barbecue-like glaze, clearly grilled on the same surface as meat. It was absolutely not vegetarian. This is unacceptable, especially after I clearly explained my dietary needs in advance. On top of that, the music was loud, annoying, and totally out of place. There were only two couples in the restaurant, and yet the waiter refused to lower the volume when asked politely. It made the atmosphere tense and uncomfortable. No effort to adapt, no care for customer comfort or dietary concerns. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all — especially if you’re vegetarian or just looking for a peaceful dinner. UPDATE in response to management to my review: I appreciate your reply, but I’d like to clarify a few points. I clearly explained my dietary needs when ordering and was told the tofu bowl would be a suitable vegetarian option. What I received was tofu coated in a glaze that looked, smelled, and tasted like a meat-based barbecue sauce. It also appeared seared or grilled in a way that raised doubts about how it was prepared. I even included a photo to avoid any misunderstanding. You mention that I should have raised the issue during the meal — but when I politely asked for the music to be lowered in an almost empty restaurant, that simple request was dismissed outright without explanation which i obviously accepted right away. That already made it clear my comfort wasn’t a priority, and it didn’t create an environment where I felt comfortable bringing up further concerns. Your response focuses more on defending the restaurant than on taking responsibility or showing understanding. Suggesting that my review is “exaggerated” or “venting,” and ending with “wishing you better experiences elsewhere,” only reinforces a lack of accountability. That’s not the tone of a place that values real feedback or guest experience. I stand by my review. It’s not written in anger — it’s meant to inform others who care about dietary transparency and a welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted kindly by the staff, but unfortunately, our needs were not truly heard. Nothing personal — just honest feedback.

Ohhhh lala, this place is craaaazy good! Amazing service – the staff is so friendly. The decoration is super sweet, and the food… I’m speechless. You know the food is truly delicious when you’re sitting at a table with ten people and the only thing you hear is the background music (great taste in music, by the way) because everyone is too busy being overwhelmed by the brilliant flavors. I had the brisket – can only recommend! If you’re in Marsaska, you have to come here.

We were a group of six and ordered three starters along with one main dish per person. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short of expectations. Here’s what went wrong: – We waited over an hour for our food. – We ordered three rib eye steaks (36€ each on the menu). One of them, shown in the photo, was meant to be medium rare. It arrived medium-well in the center and overcooked on the outside. More importantly, IT WASN’T EVEN A RIB EYE. As someone who’s had dozens, if not hundreds, of rib eyes, I can say this with confidence. When I brought this up with the waiter, he insisted it was a rib eye. Later, after I had finished eating, another staff member cleared the plate and asked if everything was okay. I repeated my concern, and he admitted that I was right - the rib eye was on the menu yesterday. What we had been served was simply “beef steak.” The menu, however, had not been updated, as you can see here in reviews. So lying to customers seems to be normal here.🙂 None of the steaks were cooked as requested - all came out well done, despite asking for medium. The tuna, which was supposed to be medium, was served extremely rare. Sadly, this experience was disappointing on multiple levels, and we won’t be returning.

I came here for dinner and had an enjoyable meal here. I sat outside, was quickly sat and staff were friendly and attentive. I ordered the octopus salad starter and it was one of the best dishes I had on my Croatia trip. It was quite rich but so much flavour. For main I had the gnocchi with seafood. The seafood and sauce were delicious but the gnocchi was a bit overworked and tough to eat. I was also given free bread to help soak up the sauces from both dishes. If I had more time in Split, I would have come back to try more of their menu as there were other delicious options to choose from.

Korta is one of those places that perfectly captures the spirit of Split. Tucked away in the old city, surrounded by stone walls and narrow streets, it gives you that unmistakable sense of history while you dine. Sitting there, you can feel the blend of ancient charm and modern comfort — a rare balance that makes every meal feel like an experience, not just dinner. The food here was truly impressive. We started with an octopus appetiser served with dried tomatoes and olive oil, and it was a clear 10 out of 10. The octopus was tender and beautifully cooked, not chewy at all, and the olive oil tied everything together perfectly — rich, fragrant, and fresh. The sweetness of the dried tomatoes added just the right contrast to the savoury depth of the dish. For the main course, I went with the linguine with truffles, and it was everything you’d hope for. The pasta was cooked al dente, the sauce creamy and balanced, and the truffle flavour was present without being overpowering. Every bite was smooth and indulgent — a perfect example of how simplicity, when done right, can be extraordinary. The Risotto Korta was another standout. The seasoning was spot on, and the combination of smoked mussels with the risotto gave it a unique, almost nostalgic flavour — like a culinary trip down the Adriatic coast. You can taste the sea and its history in every mouthful, as if the dish itself carries the influence of both sides of the Mediterranean. Service was attentive and professional without being intrusive, and everything flowed at a comfortable pace. Overall, Konoba Korta delivers on every level — location, food, and atmosphere and it is decently priced. If you want to enjoy a meal surrounded by Split’s ancient walls while tasting dishes that celebrate the region’s flavours, this is the place to go.

We had one of the most enjoyable and delicious dinner here. Right from the location (within the walls of the Diocletian's palace), service (the host and our server were so nice) and food, everything was amazing!! As a vegetarian, I was so happy to see they had a set vegetarian menu plus options to order ala carte as well! We were so happy with the quantity of food and drinks, we had no room for desserts. Would come back for sure. The only thing that surprised us a bit that we were asked if we wanted to leave a tip which we know is not required or mandatory in Croatia.

10 out of 10 for everything.Please eat here because everything I had was so good..And if you like sweeter wines..try the dessert wine that starts with the letter P. We had the best octopus dish at this restaurant. The way they had made it was amazing. It had herbs, garlic, fresh olives, olive oil and with dipping bread into the dish, it made it even better. We went to this same restaurant twice for dinner during the short 5 days visit to Split. I would totally recommend this restaurant.

The food and service was excellent. I had the octopus salad for a starter which was good. My husband had the steak and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the seafood stew which was great as well. The portions were large and we were highly satisfied with our meal. I loved getting the traditional Croatian food and experience with the octopus salad and seafood stew!

Been here twice and considering coming once more before I leave 🙂. The service is extremely well organized, every server and the host notice every table and their needs, not just the one server whose table you’re in, not that common in Split in my experience. And they are so nice with each other! Food is good, too. The first night I had the truffle linguine - they were very generous with the truffle and the portion would feed a very hungry person with a good appetite. The burrata was also delicious, although the accompanying salad could have been better dressed, but that’s the only minor thing to bring out. Tomato soup with shrimp was as good as expected. Overall my best culinary experience in Split, so far 😉.

Good food at reasonable prices. Found the black ink risotto on the rich side which makes for a good share. The White House wine was surprisingly very good. Nice tables for two in a busy alley with other diners from other restaurants. They offered a drink while we waited for 10 minutes for the table. A good spot.

Great little spot offering an innovative twist on Croatian typical cuisine. As most restaurants in Old Town, the venue isn't big, so reservations are probably a good idea. The crispy pulled pork, which comes as croquettes, are a must.

A cozy restaurant tucked away in the alleys of Dubrovnik. The veal steak was especially tender and delicious! I visited during lunchtime, but it seems like the atmosphere would be even better in the evening

Amazing food, fantastic staff and great atmosphere in a laneway off the hustle and bustle of the main street. I originally stopped in for a late lunch after arriving on my first day, and the tuna tartare and chicken salad were both incredible! My waiter recommended the chocolate mousse and it was equally fantastic. I loved it so much that I came back for another meal (this time I tried the sardines which were fantastic!). Highly recommend

This place feels like a tourist trap. The lively, friendly service seems to mask the underwhelming food! Presentation was great, but most dishes were just bland and warm—not hot. Which makes us to suspect, they are not cooked to order but reheated. The beef pasta was sticky. It ended up being our most expensive dinner in Dubrovnik, yet the least satisfying. For comparison, we paid less and ate much better at Taj Mahal restaurant.

Great place with local vibes. If you have a chance grab a drink on the stairs while waiting for your table. Food was excellent, loved the roman gnocchi that was served with the octopus. Thanks again to the waiter for recommending a great wine to go with the octopus.

Amazing dinner at Lucin Kantun! The smoked mussels in leek and tuna tartare were incredible, full of flavor. The rib eye steak was perfectly cooked and came with the most delicious potatoes. Highly recommended!

Me and partner went there cuz it was of the places which are doing vegan options, but unfortunately they had only 3 options: aubergine with bread as a starter, risotto as a main and cake as desert. We’ve got risotto and some drinks. My personal opinion that place is overpriced, we paid €17 for one portion of risotto and you can see on the picture the size of it. Also rice was a little bit undercooked. Service was good, but we felt some judgment when we made our order and weird feeling all way after. Atmosphere is good, we sat outside. But I would recommend to go somewhere else.

Long, long time ago in the galaxy … I should start in this way, However once upon a time there is a moment when people get together, having fun and enjoy lovely dinner 🥘 That happened to me this time. Ponte Blu is such place where you gona feel that vibe!!! I am very sparing in opinions but that’s the moment when the fair food, lovely service and company makes the difference. Wonderful ambient, skradin risotto was the best one I have ever had, also skradin cake was amazing! Excellent waiter who had great recommendations. Would recommend to anyone coming to Skradin to come here.

Our waitress was super nice and helpful. The shark fillet was breaded so that was a surprise but it was so good with the Tartar sauce, and the vegetables were amazing. The Skradin Torta was also delicious. Overall, it was a great experience.

The best restaurant I’ve tried in Croatia. All the staff were very friendly and thoughtful. They truly warmed me up. I came to have brunch with my husband and daughter. Our food was amazing. Mine was French toast. I love the self made fig jam, the sweetness to it was perfect. And the topping went so well with the bread. Their proportions were generous. You will definitely leave with a full stomach.

When I saw how beautiful the restaurant was, we wanted to come here, we didn't even know what it served. It's Mexican stuff but it's more authentically mexican than others I've tried out, more yummy. It's beautiful because it's built from the gutted innards of a rebuilt medieval structure, merging the real and faux together expertly.

There was a little bit of a wait but the setting and food was incredible, so it so worth the wait. You can either sit outside in a little plaza area with the old walls around you, or inside within the building with the old walls around you. It’s a stunning setting. The service was quick and so friendly, and the food was amazing. So delicious and huge portions. I feel like anything on the menu is guaranteed delicious.

Went here for dinner, and it was so good we decided to come here again for breakfast the next day. You’ll first notice the aesthetically pleasing atmosphere of the restaurant, with good views of the courtyard outside if you’re lucky. The service was phenomenal and the waiters were extremely helpful and positive, especially with their recommendations! The wait time to get a table and for the food to arrive was a bit long, maybe 40 minutes for both. However, this is the unfortunate reality of a restaurant of such quality. The food is definitely on the expensive side, around €20 to €30 a person including an appetizer, but it’s worth it. For dinner I ordered the Mexican Pulled Pork with the Fig and Farm Cheese as a starter. The Fig and Farm Cheese was amazing, and the Mexican Pulled Pork was great too, despite being a little more soupy than expected. The next day for breakfast I had the French toast, which was beautiful and tasted even better than it looked. Overall, would definitely recommend if you’re visiting Diocletian’s Palace.

Came here twice during our short stay in Split. Very friendly service, food is great - fresh ingredients, taste superb. We had the gold pineapple salad - this really blows me away, bbq burger, sweet potato fries and roasted veg with hummus. If we come to to Split again, will definitely visit this restaurant again!

A delightful family experience! No wait for a table at 7pm on a Saturday night, high chair provided with ease. Food was delicious, service was friendly and the atmosphere was excellent. We had some dietary requirements which were handled exceptionally well, and staff easily made some adaptations to the menu to provide a kid friendly meal. We had both the regular bbq beef burger and jalapeño and blueberry beef burger, also the pulled pork and the vegetarian korma. Absolutely delicious! Cocktails included an aperol spritz and a sunset in split, also some Hvar brewery beers. Highly recommend!

Very cute Mexican restaurant in old town Split. It's a great option if you're looking for something a bit different from the other restaurants in town. Excellent veggie and vegan options too. The food is very tasty but it's not served spicy so you can add your own heat levels. For spice lovers the hot sauces are exceptional and have a fantastic heat. Great margaritas also! I love how they donate money to the street cats of Split. A nice kind idea.

Woowwwwww!!! Such an exceptional service and food, you must go to this place in your tour to split! Definitely can't miss if you are a Mexican food lover and like different flavours bursting in your mouth giving your palette a rich ride of tastes coming together so nicely...It's a small place and hence you might have to wait until being seated if you are going on weekend, but I promise it would be worth it ... Being a vegetarian this is a gold mine to find!!

The food was authentic and full of flavor, but what really stood out was the service. The staff went out of their way to help us choose dishes and even offered different sauces to try, which made the experience feel personal and thoughtful. Everything arrived quickly and tasted great. The only downside was the portion size—it felt a bit small for the price. But considering the location, right in the heart of the castle area, that’s somewhat expected. Still, for quality Mexican food and genuinely welcoming service, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

I loved trying tacos around the world. These were genuinely some of the best I’ve had in Europe. I ordered several options - pork rib (Al pastor), carnitas, and beans & plantain. All incredible. The horchata was a 10/10 and my husband also had the fish tacos, which was also incredible. Can’t go wrong with this place if you need a break from all the local classics. :)

A fantastic find in one of the small streets or Split which is like stepping out of Europe into Central America. The food was fantastic, traditional dishes with moreish flavours. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Be aware it is cash only, but there is an ATM around the corner. Definitely worth a visit. Pic is of the three tacos (fish, mushroom and vegetable)

We had a spectacular Mexican meal in To Je Tako. We tried the tacos, burritos and quesadillas. All beautifully presented and were delicious. Staff are very friendly and attentive. A great evening. Highly recommended. Sin é (that’s it) 😀.

Had a lovely dinner here on our first night in split. Had to wait for a table but that’s because it’s a popular (and very yummy) place. Prices were reasonable and the margaritas were perfect with our food choices. Very authentic as the owner is Mexican and the staff were all lovely. Definitely recommend !

Amazing food in the center of Dubrovnik. Every dish we had is very good. The molten chocolate cake is a must have. Ivan, our server, is very attentive and gave excellent recommended for the wine to pair our meal. Highly recommended.

Not Sure How This Made the Michelin Guide... We went in with high hopes and left pretty disappointed. The service was poor. Our waiter didn't ask if we wanted a bottle of wine or just glasses. Then when the wine arrived, it was just the glasses—no bottle presented, and we had to flag someone down to get a top-up later. The food had some major issues. The fish tartare was just okay, but there was a fish scale in it. But the biggest issue was on the cheese plate. We actually found a piece of paper mixed in with the cheese! The beef steak was fine, nothing special. Overall, it was a pretty below-average experience. For a place that's supposed to be on the Michelin radar, I was expecting so much more attention to detail. It definitely didn't live up to the hype. We paid 150 euros for it.

100% recommend, an all round winner for amazing food, tentative and friendly service as well as a romantic and relaxing atmosphere. We had a brilliant dining experience where quality food was served throughout the evening! We were very lucky to be served by Romana and Marco who did a fantastic job recommending us dishes that were perfect for our preferences and always checking that everything was ok for us - as well as helping us take photos! Best in class service as both went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and having a great time. Thank you for the memorable experience which was worth every penny spent!

Absolutely best resto in all of Dubrovnik! Food is off the chart, 6 consecutive years Michelin rated. Pleasant music, culturally sensitive and friendly, respecting local customs. Cannot say enough about the food! You must try for yourself. My niece and I sampled local wines, array of marinated olives, burrata salad and white fish fillet with tomatoes and capers. The baked potato and bacon was simply sublime. IVAN’s service made us loyal customers upon first visit. Will return, for sure, many times!

Amazing staff, very kind. Food is good but didnt have the "wow effect" I usually have in this kind of Restaurants. Beef Risotto is good but nothing special. In general still nice for a night out.

We saw the Michelin recommendation and just walked in without checking on the google reviews… The calamari is ok, but the shrimp pasta is really not flavourful. I suspect the chef forgot to add salt in this dish. Besides, the pasta itself is very dry. I would imagine there should be more sauces, as the other old pictures shown on google map. We don’t think this meal deserves the tip but the card machine kind of “forces” us to tip at least 10%…. We know usually there is a function to manually type the tip amount but we cannot read croatian so… Anyway the food quality is ok but the price is on the high end side.

We had a good lunch experience here. The food was nice and the service was friendly. We orders some tapas dishes here. We ordered 4 tapas dishes and bread for the two of us and that was plenty for lunch.

We had a lovely dinner at Portun during our trip to Dubrovnik! The staff were incredibly friendly and took great care to explain everything on the menu. We sat outside, which added to the romantic and cozy atmosphere. Perfect for a couple’s evening out. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We had the three course menu and loved every bite. You can really taste the attention to detail in each dish. The seating is a little close to others, but it still felt comfortable and inviting. Highly recommended for a warm and memorable dinner!

What an incredible experience. Beautiful wine made by a local vineyard; each bottle was numbered, and we sampled two. The slow-cooked lamb shank and the beef steak were both delicious and mouth-watering. The waiters were very attentive and took their time with every customer. What an unforgettable experience.

It's really a fine dining restaurant. The taste of the two dishes were ordered were impeccable, and their wine by the glass were top notch. The grilled fish fillet was almost translucent, showing a perfectly cooked piece of fresh fish. The warm appetizer Octopus although was baked, they used some fire to charr it just enough to give it the smoky flavor. Apparently, in the old town, wooden burning fire isn't allowed, to avoid burning down the UNESCO World Heritage site. Ok, I get that, but what about the restaurant called Lady Pi Pi? I saw something that resembled a big smoky grill on their terrace from the Wall Walk. (Too bad, we went there in the afternoon when they only serve drinks, so we didn't go in). Anyway, expect this to be high-end in prices and everything else.

We were very tired after a long day walking through Lokrum island. We weren’t ready for dinner but ordered the Dubrovnik plate and wine. It was just delicious with a perfect pairing of bread, local cheeses, olives, anchovies, shrimp and sausage. We sat outside and it was quiet away from the crowds. The inside is just beautiful and we thought one of the nicest restaurants we’d seen. Our server was so professional and lovely. Very attentive. I wish I’d gotten his name, I saw other diners enjoying a full course meal and exclaiming how delicious the food was.

I had a great glass or two of one of pošip wines from Korcula I believe that was so good I am sorry I didn’t take down the full name. I have been searching for it since leaving Croatia with no luck. Hope to have an opportunity to return for more great food and service. If you are able to share your wine menu here that would be appreciated. Thank you again for making our meal on our final night in Dubrovnik special.

Had a lovely solo dinner here. Went for the 3-course menu — the prawn ravioli, chicken roulade, and chocolate soufflé were all fantastic. The service was super warm and attentive, especially thanks to Alex, who made the evening extra enjoyable. Great food, great vibe — highly recommend!

This place is overpriced. I was here two years ago and decided to book it again. Atmosphere is great, loved the design and how tiny this place is. Was not really satisfied with the service, our table wasn’t properly wiped when we arrived, we weren’t offered plates and cutlery with starters, we had to ask for every single plate to come with our sharing starter. Pasta tasted a bit overcooked but sauce was delicious. Wine was good and tuna tataki and grilled sardines were good, the rest didn’t look too appetising. We were offered a complimentary drink for additional 10 mins waiting which I found very nice and cute.

We are very happy with the food! Tastes like real homemade Croatian food. Service was great and the wine was super. We will be back thank you!

Had a great final dinner in Split here. We were here for 8 nights. Highly recommend the tuna steak served with a cheese potato terrine and if you like steak tartare, this one is unique and very flavorful, served with truffles.

A fantastic experience! The waitstaff showed both professionalism and a genuine passion for their work. We received attentive and precise service throughout, both with food and wine – just as it should be. The food was exquisite, made from high-quality ingredients with exciting and well-balanced flavor combinations that truly impressed us.

Hilarious place with zingers in neon on the walls. This place makes you feel like it's not in Split, Croatia. Speak a little Croatian and the servers will love you and bring free rakija at the end. The food was terrific. I did their 'Dalmatian sushi' which was really a number of raw preparations of local fish plus fried smelts and terrine. All very fresh and tasty, and worth the price. Although prices have gone up in Split in recent years, I think the value here is really worth it for the high quality of ingredients. My meal also came with a side of very tasty tomato focaccia. Don't miss out!

We visited last year and had exceptional experience, food was outstanding and service extremely attentive. We came to Split again , on our way back from summer holiday, just to visit this place and it was remarkable! The food was cooked to perfection and service was impeccable. Last year it was Anton who was extraordinary and today Vedran looked after us and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Looking forward to our next visit.

Just had dinner this evening at Fantazija and it was amazing! We ordered the pasticada and black pasta seafood. The beef that I ate was stunning! It just melted away as you ate it. For deserts we had the goats cheese and honey ice cream which was beautiful too! Yes, the food isn’t cheap but I think you definitely get what you are paying for and we hope to return again before the end of our trip. Shout out and thanks to Ante, our waiter too! Made the dinner experience special. Fully recommend this restaurant!

Is a fine dinning place. The view probably the best part of the restaurant, service also friendly. They served the main dish with hot plate, unfortunately the taste of the food didn’t match with the price. It taste like a regular sea bass you may have in other cheaper restaurant. For the price level will understand the view and service occupy a large percentage. Maybe I am the price sensitive customer that concern about food quality, I expect they can do it better.

Absolutely delicious meal this evening at Arka! The steak and fish were both cooked to perfection and the service was great with a friendly attitude .I've only dropped 1 star for atmosphere becomes it is next to the busy road but that isn't the restaurant's fault, just something to bear in mind when booking.

Great location, great food, a nice reprieve from the crowded Dubrovnik. This is a nice stop that feels intimate with seafood that is fresh. Highly recommend for those looking for a locals spot that feels genuine and refreshing.

We came from Skopje to celebrate a wedding of a dear friend. We expected it to be fun, but the restaurant and the view to the see made the wedding magical. 9 Kilometers from the center of Dubrovnik this hotel offers great service, beautiful food and friendly stuff. We strongly recommend it.

We did not make a reservation however the staff moved tables around so we could have a balcony table with water views. The service was friendly and efficient without being overbearing, our waiter possessed a great sense of humour. Now to the food ... oysters natural and baked followed by the pesto pasta with prawns and the mussels. The oysters were juicy, plump and delicious although I think 3 per serve is a little too small. Perhaps offer additional at a price. The pasta was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of pesto to compliment beautifully char grilled prawns. A stand out dish. We chose the mussels in a tomato based sauce and were not disappointed. Sweet and plump and a generous serve. An outstanding meal cooked by a chef who cares. Well done

The beef steak had a weird texture. Baked oysters were great. The fish appetizers platter we tried had fresh items but they all had either too much lemon or too salty the day I tried them. For the kind of prices they have I was really expecting a better experience. The ambiance was nice though.

During our 18-day stay, we visited Cocopazzo seven times, which I think is enough to form a fair opinion. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Most dishes are bland, lack proper flavor, and feel like they are prepared without much culinary knowledge. The quality of ingredients also seems quite low. For example, while the pizza dough is acceptable, it is topped with a heavy layer of low-quality cheese (or cheese-like product), which makes it taste poor no matter what else is added. The bruschetta is served on a Kaiser roll, the risotto came cold with a soup-like consistency and was topped with thick slices of strange, low-grade cheese. Even the fish dishes were heavily overseasoned with garlic, masking the actual flavor. On the positive side: the location is very good, the place is clean, and the staff are attentive and friendly. They take care of the menus, approach people walking by, and try to invite guests in, which is nice. I noticed the restaurant has quite a good average rating on Google. However, this may be influenced by the fact that many of the guests are Poles, Bosnians, or Czechs, who might not have very high expectations. After days of eating mediocre food in Omiš, they may feel relieved to find something slightly better and therefore leave higher ratings. Still, the overall impression is negative. In Omiš, where many restaurants are just tourist traps with very average food, Cocopazzo might stand slightly above the rest, but that’s not saying much. I would only recommend it if someone is desperate for an option outside the typical tourist spots. If you’re looking for truly good cuisine, this is not the place

Tucked into a cute old town corner, this spot certainly looks the part—cobblestone charm, cozy tables, and a welcoming vibe that draws you right in. Service is lightning fast too; they’ll take your order, your plate, and your money quicker than you can say “check, please.” The staff were genuinely nice, which makes it all the more of a shame that the food didn’t quite rise to the occasion. The starters were a pleasant surprise and set things off on the right foot, but the main dishes stumbled. The seasoning seemed to be on its own holiday: some plates came out so salty they could’ve been pulled straight from the Adriatic, while others were so bland they barely registered. And the salmon? Sadly, cooked so thoroughly it had clearly seen better days. In short: great place for a drink and people-watching in a picture-perfect setting, with promising starters—but the kitchen might need to recalibrate its compass for the mains.

We had a delicious meal and our server, Anna, was great. We have gone for breakfast and dinner and only had good experiences. We ordered the shrimp risotto and teriyaki chicken.

We were in two, and had a really good time. The food was great, the portions just right and the waiters welcoming and lively ❤️ it’s situated in a small square in front of a church in a historical centre, and even though crowded the atmosphere was private and relaxing. I highly recommend!

If you want to go out for a drink then I do not recommend this place. I looked forward to visit this bar on my vacation but were rejected after not ordering “food”. If I’m not mistaken, the name of this place is Cocopazzo Wine and Dine BAR - not RESTAURANT. Me and my family wanted to taste some of their cocktails but unfortunately could not. Then we tried to order some food but were told to visit some other pastry… When I looked around, other groups had just drinks ordered. I’m not sure why we were rejected, possibly because our bill would not be as high as they wished. I was surprised by this treatment, the service was ignorant and careless. I often visit high quality restaurants and bars and never once experienced this treatment. I’m very disappointed because the reviews here are great, unfortunately not our experience… It’s a shame because I seriously looked forward to visit this whole summer.

What a great place to eat! Very friendly staff and really good food. The menu focusses on just a couple of dishes, but I guess one will find a choice there. We'll definitely are going to come back when we drop our anchor in Murger next time.

Food is on very good lvl (when benchmarking to Croatia restaurants), slightly above average (bench italy/austria) and other countries. Overaly food experience is good, it’s very pricy even to compare good restaurants in Šibenik. The servis is not that good, not really smiling, when paying - trying to persuade you that you can only put 10-15-20% tip Overall - its very overpriced and this approach will damage overall tourism in Croatia. Short term thinking..

Amazing little street with the amazing vibe, i loved the loacation of the restaurant. The vibe is also very nice, cool decorated with elegant details so you can really annoy sitting there. The house wine was good, the service was fast and the waiters are polite. Portions are really big and delicious. We had tuna and octopus carpaccio followed by chicken with the asian twist, seabass fillet and octopus stew. All the meals were delicious.

So good...we visited twice!!! A group of six were visiting Murter for the Love International Festival in Tisno and staying in Murter. We first visited for lunch and were welcomed with open arms and a friendly smile. The location is perfect and decor is stunning. Menu has great choice for everyone and a fantastic wine list. GnTs were also amazing!!! Every detail of service and food was executed with perfection and pride. All the food was amazing. Based on this we visited again for dinner and this time sat up on the terrace, which was equally lovely (although downstairs outside is slightly better). The service was once again fantastic. I honestly could not recommend this place more!!! Try the burger, sea bass, mussels and lamb. All incredible!

Bad Tuna ! I bought, cooked or ate kilos of Adriatic Tuna over the years and unfortunately it was one of the worst. Lack of flavor, not the typical deep red color of a fresh bluefin tuna. The tartar was full of sinews/ligaments meaning the tuna was not butchered well or the piece used for tartar was not premium nor the one that should be used (otoro or Akami) but rather the remaining around the tail or the head. They proposed to serve another one (not to remove from the bill) but I already lost appetite for that meal. The waiter was professional and good.

Very nice atmosphere; very friendly waiters, very good food (quality), good presentation of the food, very nice selection of vines. We had the fish plate for 2 to share and the tuna tataki from the daily dish. As dessert we had the Raffaelo Cheesecake. In general do not expect a copy of Japanese or French Cousine - it’s all a very authentic and local flavour. Using this international influence it is a perfect fusion of taste. The attentive owner is working as a part of the team and as the team leader. In general a very good restaurant and the ratings here are real - it’s a real Google Five Star (4.8 average) rating and no fake. If you are looking for a spontaneous visit try to reserve a table. Hope Fine Food Murter continues its way.

So much care is put into every detail: quality of ingredients, dishes, presentation, service. I loved everything, and especially appreciated them being careful about sustainability. Prices are a bit high, but they are certainly justifiable especially considering that all food is organic and locally sourced. I recommend trying this place, whether you are vegan or not: you will be surprised!

My friend and I were visiting Bol and stumbled upon this adorable vegan spot 🌿✨ Everything was fresh, healthy, and absolutely delicious. Went twice in two days. Once for dinner and for breakfast. Both occasions were flawless. The food was delicious and the place is nicely situated with a great lookout 🌊. Beware that there are only outdoor seats.

We were here two years ago for the first time and since we are back in Bol we had to visit again!! Went here a couple of times for breakfast and it was delicious! It’s organic, seasonal and local and very good. The people working here are lovely and very helpful. A must go when in Bol! Oh and they also do coffee to go!

WOW what a place, marvelous location and the great view we didn't know what to expect....then food arrived. Starters, main, desert, wine ... everything was amazing. Best part of our lunch was young lady that served us, so pleasent and knowledgeable, recommended everything with passion really made us feel relaxed and joyful. Exited the restaurant with 3 course's in the belly I didn't feel heavy in my stomach. I can't wait to get back, highly recommend ❤️❤️❤️

This is the best vegan restaurant i ever ate! And my boyfriend (who was in vegan restaurant for the first time) figured out, that this was for sure best restaurant in Bol that we tried! Amazing vegan food! And gluten free (almost everythin) also. And (of course) all organic! And really nice ambient and supernice staff. Amazed! And recomended 10000x!

I went for a walk with my friend and my son, and when we reached the last restaurant, the details (especially decorative tablecloths) and the smiling staff immediately caught our eye. The menu was displayed right at the entrance, and we already knew we will take a seat. We were greeted by a very polite waiter (Ivo) who seated us and handed us the menu. We really enjoyed hearing the story behind each dish and wine — it was so engaging that we felt like we could eat a hundred courses just to keep listening. Our waiter, Ivo, was very approachable, communicative, and knowledgeable about everything we ordered. They have a perfect Plavac, and the dessert recommendation amazed us even more. The dessert arrived warm and reminded us of our childhood. Today is bad weather but our visit to Veranda completely lifted our spirits and made our day. Highly recommended for the amazing staff, beautiful ambiance, delicious food, and excellent drinks. 😇😊

Traditional Croatian food in a family run restaurant. Great and friendly service. Excellent sea view. Food was different from typical restaurant food and we enjoyed it. Lots of veg options. My favorite was a starter called “Poor Men’s Dish”. The collard soup is made from fresh collard grown behind the kitchen and was delicious. The homemade bread was really good. It got cold in the outdoor seating area while we were having dinner. There are no heaters but they offer blankets.

Such incredible, authentic dishes. The cheese and poor man’s bread starter was incredible. For mains we ordered the monkfish, the seafood risotto and the lamb and ravioli dish. All were delicious but the star was the lamb- I highly recommend it. Service was great too, and the outdoor seating was welcoming and comfortable.

We went here for our first night in Croatia. The food is incredible! It’s a family owned business. The staff is so kind, the service is top notch. We had the pate, frog legs, truffle pasta and for dessert a white chocolate ravioli with candied figs. The pasta is homemade and not too heavy. We want to come back to try the special chicken which is a family recipe, it does require a 24 hour notice to prepare.

Amazing family owned restaurant with some of the best tasting, freshest prepared, homemade food imaginable! Led by a husband and wife team with a crew of family members helping, they knocked it out of the park at every turn. The meals were even served on family heirloom fine china from Berlin!

Such a happy surprise to find an authentic, family-run restaurant in a massive resort like Sun Gardens. This was the best food we’ve had so far in Croatia! Servers were all so friendly and welcoming. We got the poor man’s bread (a must!) with prosciutto, and the seafood risotto. Highly recommend!

Been here 3 times while in Zadar. The 1st time they welcomed us with prosseco and amuse bouche. Food was great, simple but nice flavours. Octopus,ravioli and brie were our favorites. House wine was also good. Give it a go ✌🏻🥂.

We came to FRANKA as a group of six and had an amazing time! The atmosphere was great and the food was fantastic. The starters were outstanding — we sampled them all, and each one seemed to top the last. We especially loved the seafood pot and grilled fish as main dishes — it takes a little longer, but while enjoying our starters the time flew by, and it was totally worth it. The wine list has some great local options, and the cocktails we had as an aperitif were super tasty. Definitely a place we’d come back to!

Lovely atmosphere with a large outdoor area. We attended a corporate event there (around 30 people) and felt very well taken care of. The starters were very tasty, but unfortunately the main courses—while good—were relatively less special. The tuna steak and chicken were both overdone and a bit dry. We tried the choco tiramisu & cannot recommend it.

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Trogir After a lovely wander around Trogir’s old town, we stumbled upon Franka tucked down a small alley — a beautiful little square with inviting tables that immediately caught our eye. What really drew us in was the specials chalkboard: a two-person sharing bowl of local fish. We were seated by a charming waiter (possibly the owner) who instantly made us feel at home. Overhearing us talking about the special, he explained the different local fish, how they were cooked, and told the kitchen to start preparing it fresh straight away. He also guided us on what to order — so we didn’t overdo it — and recommended a fantastic local wine to match. Our courgette starter, big enough to share, was sensational — thinly sliced courgettes with tangy parmesan, truffle and sublime olive oil. Simple ingredients, perfectly balanced. The fish sharing bowl was outstanding, and the wine pairing lifted everything beautifully. The menu isn’t cheap, but you’re paying for quality, freshness and genuine care in every detail. Without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Croatia — absolutely worth it!

Amazing fusion food. Well presented and delicious. We went there for lunch and picked 2 course menu. Cocktails were average. But food was top notch. Some of those flavors I had never tasted before. Every ingredient gives a different taste. I suggest eating slow paying attention to the ingredients. They were amazingly put together. Not cheap but well worth the price.

Wow - spectacular food, ambience, service. Surely this is the next restaurant in Trogir in all of those respects. We didn’t find anywhere else that came close. The menu is creative, with Middle Eastern touches (labneh, chickpeas, a bit of spice here and there). So refreshing given that so many other restaurants basically serve up the same old konoba dishes.

We visited this restaurant for a late lunch before leaving Trogir, we had absolutely no idea why all of the good comments. The truffles slides on the reheated risotto was unfresh, because they were totally tastedless without any truffles favor. It was very different from what we tasted in somewhere else before. The burger was OK, but the fries looked old and reheated. To be honest, this burger with fries was nearly €30 I expected more. And the iced coffee was watery. We didn't let the staff know right away because didn't think they could do much on all the comments. It was very disappointing since we wanted to have a good lunch before leaving but turned out this was the worst meal among all we had in our whole Croatia trip.

I went for lunch for the risotto cikla but they didn't have it on the lunch menu, so I had their daily menu 3, which was oyster mushrooms on a puree (forgot to ask what the puree was!) and it was delicious 😋 Followed by pork on a skewer, topped with thinly sliced pickled onions, also amazing! Highly recommend!

The Aperol Spritz was delicious. The beef tenderloin was delicious. Unfortunately the ceasar salad was horrendous. Do not order it. The dressing was terrible. Salad tasted like dirt. Service was good and atmosphere was good.

The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is very friendly — that’s definitely a plus. However, there were several things that surprised and disappointed me. We arrived at 11:30, but the lunch menu only starts at 12:00, so we had to wait half an hour. Honestly, that was unexpected. I ordered the tofu poke bowl. Two ingredients listed on the menu — carrots and corn — were missing, which I find unacceptable. As you can see in the photo, there were only three thin slices of radish, which is way too little. The mango was also disappointing — dry and tasteless, as if it was cut too close to the skin. On the positive side, the portion of tofu was generous, and I really appreciated that. We also ordered a Caesar salad. Strangely, it had cucumbers in it, and there were no croutons at all, which are a classic part of the dish. Food prices are reasonable, but I found the drinks to be quite expensive. Considering all of this, we are unlikely to come back.

I highly recommend it! We have been looking for a nice octopus prepared for a long time and this was the best! As I always eat quickly, I wanted to eat this dish as slowly as possible so that it wouldn't end! I'm going back there again!

My first time in Croatia and I wanted to eat a great hamburger! Finally I found it! Medium rare as I wanted and with a craft beer! Then I will recommend to eat a dissert! Great atmosphere!

Delicious food and lively atmosphere. Good spot for people watching. We were unlucky with the server who was unattentive and did not manage to bring all the dishes at the same time or drinks to accompany it. We were planning for dessert and more drinks, but gave up in the end. The other servers seemed better so may try again as the food was good.

Absolutely the best food experience we have had in Dubrovnik the last week. The portions were big, and still worth its price, and tasted amazing. The waiter was really friendly and helpful and the guy down on the street that caught our attention to visit the restaurant, was the best!

Best meal in Hvar hands down. The service was top notch - Mate was knowledgeable, friendly, made great recommendations, and helped clean our prawns. Each dish was phenomenal- we got the ribeye, the truffle makaruni, and scampi pasta, and all were perfectly seasoned. They offered to keep our pasta under a warming lamp while we ate our main dishes so it would stay warm. This is the oldest continuously operating restaurant in Hvar, and absolutely our best meal while there. Can’t recommend it enough.

Hands down our favourite restaurant on the whole island! We dined at Mediterraneo Dine & Wine on our last night in Hvar — and honestly, we wish we had discovered it sooner. The food was probably the best we’ve had in a very long time. Everything from the service to the presentation and flavours was simply perfect. We loved it so much that we booked a lunch the next day, just before heading back to the airport in Split — it was that good! The risotto was absolute perfection — so good, in fact, we had it twice (once for dinner and again the next day for lunch). The Fillet Mignon was beautifully cooked and full of flavour. We missed out on the monkfish at dinner, so made sure to try it at lunch — and it ended up being my second favourite dish! And the dessert? Stunningly beautiful and even better in taste — a perfect end to an incredible meal. If you’re in Hvar, do not miss this place. It’s a must. Just wish we had found it on night one — we’d have been back every evening!

Hands down the best restaurant in Hvar! Dine & Wine in the heart of Old Town. It gave me one of the most memorable meals I’ve ever had. From the 60-day dry-aged ribeye to the monkfish with polenta, every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The family-run charm, serene courtyard, and attentive staff made the experience feel truly special. If you’re in Hvar, this is an absolute must-visit!

Myself and 3 family members had an incredible dining experience here on August 5, 2025. I was able to make a reservation online 1 week in advance. The atmosphere was beautiful, the service impeccable and the food was perfect.

Truly amazing restaurant. Highly recommend, worth a detour. We loved the tuna tartare which tasted caught that day, the Greek salads, with fresh feta cheese and kalamata olives, the burrata salad, and the rich mushroom soup. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of food and service you receive. If you are visiting the area, Konoba Dalmatino is a must-try restaurant. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for delicious food, great service, and an unforgettable dining experience in Croatia.

We visited the restaurant twice, and each dish was better than the last! Both the beef and pork are cooked to perfection, the side dishes are very generous, and the presentation is very professional. Personally, the dish I would least recommend is the Skradinska risotto. The service was excellent and the place is very nice. Without a doubt, the best in Skradin!

Micho is BY FAR the best waiter I’ve ever had and I’ve been to Michelin starred restaurants around the world. He’s funny, genuine, knowledgeable, and has amazing stories. The food is excellent. We had the black ravioli and the pistachio pasta. Both were very flavorful. The almond dessert is rich but so good. You honestly can’t do wrong with any of the dishes. The manager is caring as well. They noticed we were standing in the cold and they invited us to sit inside while we waited for the rest of our party which was for another 30 mins.

Off the beaten path. Very quiet. We all appreciate the peace and quiet that came with their location. Came in for lunch and ordered the black ravioli’s with clams. For me that was a sure fire hit. My wife ordered the special that was a meat with a Croatian pasta. Not the best description. Regardless, I finished hers. It was excellent.

I am so glad I made the spontaneous decision to go out for dinner after all. The fish was grilled to perfection, the vegetables were crisp, and the background music from the neighbouring pub put me in a cheerful mood. The wine was a wonderful accompaniment, and I felt thoroughly pampered... they even made sure I had enough light to read ;) And a little bit of information from me about Dubrovnik... At around 11 p.m., someone was actually singing live at the Troubadour Jazz Brasserie. All in all, it was a wonderful evening in Dubrovnik that I will remember for a long time – thank you for that!,

Tucked in the middle of Old Town Dubrovnik, this little gem offered by far the best gourmet meal we had yet in Croatia. And yet still quite at a reasonable price. So impressed from the beginning with the gluten free bread that was actually good (as in more that just eatable) to accompany the delicious local olive oil and great balsamic from Moderna followed by a superb gourmet cream of cauliflower soup. The grilled squid (calamari) was the best we have had yet in this land of seafood. But the grand finale of gluten free chocolate/orange cake was to die for. Such a find indeed!

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Dubrovnik. For starters we shared tuna tartare, green ravioli and cold seafood platter and for mains we had sea bream with baked vegetables and veal chop. The food and price ratio is very satisfactory. Whether you want fresh fish or meat this is the right restaurant. The staff is friendly and professional. Definitely recommended.

Our server Maro was friendly and welcoming. We were seated outside in a little alleyway - great for people watching. We had beef carpaccio with salsa and Parmesan. Was very good. For our mains, had the seafood risotto and beef with pasta. The risotto was cooked in tasty seafood broth. There wasn’t a lot of seafood in the risotto but was well prepared. The beef pasta was a solid 3.5/5. For dessert we shared the almond cake. Coated in a gold dust, was visually striking. Portion was generous - perfect for sharing. Was moist and unique in flavour. Tasted like the nougat in a Toblerone bar.

In the basement of a house down a narrow beachside lane outside of Split, we encountered one of the best restaurants we have been to in a long time. Our server was super friendly, entertaining, and gave great suggestions for both wine and food. When we unknowingly ordered more food than we could eat, instead of trying to upsell, he suggested ordering less. The cuttlefish risotto was spot on, and the fresh grilled whole grouper for two was outstanding. The roasted fig dessert garnished with blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries was my favorite of a three-week trip. Tip: I didn’t realize the shellfish cart they brought around on request was so amazing until I saw others select their appetizers from it. When we return, I will make sure not to miss that experience a second time!

Amazing seafood, recommended by the staff at the hotel, more of a local’s restaurant as it is it he basement of a residential area. Absolutely the best scallops I have ever had, without a doubt. Everything is fresh and cooked to your liking. The lobster pasta was amazing, perfectly tender and sweet spiny lobster with homemade pasta. They also have a very nice selection of Croatian wines.

The staff was friendly and fantastic. We had 3 courses, a cold rae fish plate, a risotto course one was squid ink, and the last was sea bass and squid. Well worth the drive from the old town. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, and delicious.

We ordered seafood platter, black ink risotto and grilled squid for a late lunch and it was the best food we had since visiting the Balkan region. Also, the manager and server showed us all the fresh/live seafood we they prepare for us.

Stunning location, if a little quiet. Didn't seem to be any background music that we could hear, only next door. Not a massively bad thing, but would have improved the atmosphere a bit I guess. We decided to try the set menu - I chose the meat option which I really enjoyed and the 3 courses where enough for me. The chicken with almond sauce was the stand out. My husband chose the fish set menu and felt it was 'just ok'. Lovely venue and very popular. I would do back but would order from the a la carte menu next time.

Situated on the port front in Cavtat, on a nice sunny day this is a lovelly place to stop and enjoy the views of the port, the sea and the surrounding area. Staff are very helpful and service is excellent. The boat from Dubrovnik old town (Sealine direct boat, about 40 mins) drops you a minute or less walk from here. We didnt eat here, but the food we saw looked excellent. A great place to have a meal at reasonable prices and in a relaxed atmosphere.

This review is based on two visits. We had dinner here twice and had mixed thoughts. On our first visit we ate off of the 3 course fixed menu. One of us had the fish menu and the other the meat menu. The salad starters were ok but nothing memorable. The fish on the main course was cooked very well and was very tasty but the carrots that accompanied it were almost raw. The chicken in almond sauce was delicious and had bags of flavour. The desserts were also very nice and the service was excellent. On our second visit we were seated but our food took approximately 50 to 60 minutes to arrive. We ordered the Calamari and the burger. The Calamari was nice but the burger was awful! Considering this restaurant is so highly rated we did not expect to receive a burger with a slice of processed plastic cheese and to make things worse we were told that it was Cheddar!!! Surely a slice of local Croatian Pag cheese would be a better option? After our weeks stay in Cavtat in our opinion there are better places to dine.

Definitely worths one hour bus ride from Dubrovnik to come here. The seafoods is the best in our trip. Fresh oyster is must-try in Ston which will not disappoint you. Mussels are fresh and large in portion. Black risotto is amazing with lots of seafood inside.

This is a nice restaurant with a very good atmosphere and service. Unfortunately to me the food was their weakest link. They specialize in oysters and they were very good. However, we ordered the Dalmatian Muscles and they were bad. It appeared that they had been pre-steamed, then heated to serve. Half the muscles had shriveled up and were hard; inedible. Ordered an Amberjack steak (fish), and it was too dry. Perhaps our expectations were too high since we had heard about this restaurant for days. Overall it was fine.

The high prices here were for the views and the fresh seafood. The tuna and oysters are as good as mentioned by the reviews here. The surly service and the soggy napkins took away from an otherwise lovely lunch break from the long drive from Split to Dubrovnik.

The service was excellent and so was the atmosphere. I ended up ordering the marinated sardines for entree, and the cuttlefish and broad bean stew for mains. It was the best meal I had during my one week in Croatia. My waiter was Antonio and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. I was too full for dessert and Antonio recommended a lovely walking route which made it a perfect evening. Thank you Antonio.

The best thing about this restaurant is service - many thanks two two Serbian boys and one Macedonian. They really put a lot of effort into hosting us, providing friendly & polite service. Boys are young (one has 18) but very well mannered. Food was average. Salad was kinda old, especially tomato & dry cucumbers, you need to put seasoning by yourself that is ok but salad than needs to be fresh. Fish was fresh ! There is a nice view , it is not the first raw but still you can see the see, that gives a calm feeling. On another side of our table we have a view to the tower.

The pizzas were tasty, but unfortunately not hot at all when served. By the time I got to the last slice, it was already quite cold. I’m not sure what the reason was, but despite that, the flavor was really good. The atmosphere and surroundings of the place are wonderful – sitting by stone walls in a narrow street feels like a true Croatian pizzeria experience. Not the best pizza of my life, but definitely worth a visit.

We had the most amazing experience at Trattoria Carmen on a beautiful summer evening. Wandering down a quiet street away from Dubrovnik’s bustling crowds, we stumbled upon this gem and were warmly welcomed. Even though it was busy, they quickly made space for us outside. The food was absolutely divine, probably the best we’ve had on our entire trip to Croatia. The oysters were delicate and incredibly fresh, and the homemade pasta dishes were unforgettable: one with prawns and truffles, and the other with the most tender beef we’ve ever tasted. Portions were generous, and every dish was prepared with love and care. The staff were attentive, kind, and made us feel right at home. We truly loved our time here and will absolutely return if we’re back in Dubrovnik. Trattoria Carmen is a true culinary treasure!

Absolutely fantastic food! I ordered the Dalmatian bordetto which is like a seafood stew. So fresh and tasty. I went at 5:40pm ish and immediately got a table. When I came out, there was a long queue outside. So I recommend going early, especially since they don’t take reservations. A must visit in Dubrovnik!!

I tried their fresh seafood with handmade pasta and i really enjoyed it! You can really taste the umami of the fresh seafood so the taste was really balanced. Just a heads up to everyone, there is no reservation policy in this restaurant so better come early to avoid the long que. I went here on my first night in Dubrovnik and the que was really long so i went to another restaurant. I tried my luck the next day during lunch time and finally got a table for myself.

Great place for authentic Croatian food, and you can sit right on the river. They’ve also recently renovated their bathrooms which are very nice now. There’s a huge parking lot too.

This place was one of a highlights our visit in Croatia. Amazing local white wine. Boar and beef were delicious. Homemade style bread was another pleaser. Ox tail soup gentle and not overwhelming with spices. View and dining space on the river was relaxing.

We had a wonderful dinner inside the warm and authentic interior of Konoba Vinica Monković. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a charming traditional touch that immediately makes you feel welcome. We started with a selection of local cheeses and a prosciutto pâtthe, perfect introduction, full of rich, balanced flavors that highlighted the quality of local ingredients. For the main course, we enjoyed rib-eye steak and rump steak in olive oil. Both dishes were cooked to perfection, the meat was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. A real treat for any meat lover. To finish, we indulged in a perfectly molten lava cake and figs in red wine, which were both absolutely delightful and a memorable end to the meal. Special thanks to our waiter Luka, who was exceptionally kind, attentive, and professional, his service truly elevated the experience. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to enjoy authentic Konavle and Dalmatian cuisine in a beautiful setting. We will definitely be back.

The beef baby ribs were tender and full of flavor, and the lamb chops were simply amazing. Even the natural fries were perfectly crispy. The fresh bread was a lovely touch. Dining next to the river made the whole experience even more special. Great service too — definitely a 5-star experience!

I can highly recommend the fish special which had soup, pate and grilled fish with potato and leek and it was all delicious! This was a nice and cozy restaurant. Both the food and the atmosphere were calming, and hearing the river flow in the background was truly refreshing. The wait staff was also very welcoming.
