"Os Cachivaches" is a laid-back restaurant known for its rice specialties, seafood, and grilled meats, along with creative tapas. The spacious venue attracts a local crowd and offers an extensive wine selection. Dishes like langostino kataifi and meloso de carabineros con plancton marino showcase traditional cuisine with flavorful twists. Guests praise the steak tartar de atun rojo while recommending the coulants for dessert.
I can see why this is in the Michelin guide. Birthday meal while on the Camino and wow… I’d give it 10 stars if this were possible. Absolutely outstanding flavour. Heaven on a fork. Out of the main town but don’t let that deter you visiting. We are going to return when we come back later in the year. Service is also friendly, efficient and so helpful. Great atmosphere. Lovely decor.
Tamasine S — Google review
The restaurant was very big and by the time we were leaving it was almost full. There were a lot of locals, which is always a good sign. They have an extensive wine selection. We ordered the langostino kataifi as the starter, it was very delicious, especially if you have a sweet tooth. For the main, we ordered the meloso de carabineros con planctón marino. If you like your rice on the drier side, with overcooked burnt patches, you'll definitely like this one. For the dessert, we went with the coulant de chocolat blanc and I was glad to have read some reviews beforehand because it was not on the list that our server listed. The service was not very friendly, most likely because we don't speak Spanish. Although we have been to numerous restaurants in Spain where we had a language barrier and still felt very welcome. Overall I'd recommend.
Sila A — Google review
This place was amazing! The food was delicious, and the best part is that they’re not greedy like some places—if you order too much, they’ll honestly tell you it’s enough. We had langostinos kadaifi, pulpo con patata trufada, and rice; everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The prices were also really good! Definitely worth a visit, and I’ll be coming back for sure. Fun fact: I wasn’t expecting to meet Turkish people in Lugo, but one of the waiters turned out to be Turkish! Great service, always smiling, and super fast. Thank you!

The food was good but I expected more having in mind that is a recommended restaurant of the Michelin guide. What I really liked was the sauces of "Calamar de la ría a la andaluza" was amazing and also you can use it to combine with your rice, bread, etc

Galician restaurant
Restaurante Churrasqueira Fonte do Rei is a charming eatery that captures the essence of Galician cuisine, nestled just a short stroll from the old town. This family-run gem is renowned for its delightful seafood casseroles and an array of traditional dishes, all served in a warm, inviting atmosphere reminiscent of days gone by. Diners rave about the excellent tapas and fresh ingredients that make each meal memorable.
Fantastic authentic dinner for local Galicians and lucky visitors like me (they have an English menu). An absolutely delicious meal, fresh & locally sourced ingredients and all beautifully prepared. Marcello was the best server and couldn’t have been more lovely. Oh and do leave some space for dessert - the baked cheesecake was incredible with a crème caramel texture. Unforgettable.
A L — Google review
A very popular family run restaurant serving local dishes at a very high standard. We were seated and served quickly, despite the long queue of larger groups. I would recommend arriving a little earlier if you're larger than a group of 4. We tried the sharing plate of grilled meats, plenty for 3 people, and it was so fresh! A restaurant worth visiting if you're around the area.
Catherine C — Google review
I went to this restaurant twice with my friends. I stayed in Lugo just two days and I already know I’ll come back again for their dishes. The food was great, the quantities abundant, and the service exceptional. Huge thanks to Marcelo, our favourite waiter who was professional, kind and lovely.
Daniel S — Google review
Now that was something. The place doesn’t look fancy, extremely busy but the food was beyond great, we randomly choose it while visiting Lugo and we were very pleasantly surprised, might try to go there again just because it was really awesome, and next time I want to order the massive chop my partner had
Louiza O — Google review
I've been cycling across northern Spain for two weeks, and the dinner my wife and I had here was the best of the trip. We shared a salad (real dressing!). I had entrecote beef with pepper sauce, and she had roasted hake: both cooked perfectly. Each came with rustic fried potatoes. For dessert we had flan with cream; the cream was whipped to a firm delicious consistency and the flan had a dense caramel. A pair of cyclists sat next to us, and we swapped tastes. They had family-style plates of pulpo, razor clams, and scallops, all excellent. The atmosphere was of a neighborhood restaurant; there was an eight person card game going on when we entered and it continued as we left. We ordered at 8:00, when they opened. At 9:00, local families started coming in with the kids.
James M — Google review
Food was very good and well priced. Be careful as some portions can be quite large, luckily the staff helped us to avoid over ordering. We had some pulpo, pimientos de padron and calamares as a starter. Then we shared a very large cachopo (1 is plenty for 2 if you take some starters) of which I unfortunately did not take a photo.
Jan K — Google review
Food, price and service were good. I want to visit again. Steak was sooooooo big.
Star K — Google review
Very good food, Galician dishes, good price for value, good selection of wine and beers, tapas here are a must try, Padron peppers really well cooked, if you visit Lugo, here is a must go Bar/Restaurant

Restaurante O Grelo stands out as one of the finest dining establishments in Lugo province, beautifully situated in a stunning stone building that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. This long-established gem is renowned for its gourmet Galician cuisine, served elegantly on classic white linens alongside an impressive selection of wines from Emilio's award-winning winery, Don Bernardino. The restaurant features a remarkable cave-like wine cellar filled with an extensive array of local Galician wines.
Food and wine fire work. typical Galician. to be recommended!

Food was pretty good, albeit a bit expensive for the area. The wild mushrooms were amazing! Service was really good! Excellent location…

Terrible experience. Poor service and the food wasn’t good. Very expensive
Laura B — Google review
Ok restaurant if you don't want to spend too much money. Not enough choices of food neither of desert. I would recommend this place only for brunch or a drink on the top floor on the terrace to enjoy the view.
Cosmopolitan R — Google review
Long established & popular restaurant. Emilio the owner also owns the award winning local winery Don Bernardino & has excellent red & white wines. Thanks to Emilio he has an amazing cave like wine cellar that stocks an extensive range of Galicia wines inter alia. The food is traditional & classic. The wild boar in a mencia wine sauce is delicious as are the steaks. The have alot of fish dishes too. Nice upstairs formal dinning area but relaxed atmosphere. Great location just before the Castle/fortress/ Parador.

Great place for local cuisine in an elegant setting. The Boar and venison are nice. The staff was first rate. Prices are on the high end for this area.

I came over coz the staff of the hotel I stayed recommended me. Location is great, it is in the downtown. Service was good and value for price great. It is true that I was alone but it is also true that it was Tuesday night. I deem that it is OK this place to have a good dinner.

(Translated by Google) The deal with the man to hire a group menu was good, as was the previous contact by phone with the woman who sent us menus via WhatsApp. The first ones seemed very scarce to me. The attention, except for a woman with light hair, must improve a lot. They have to be more attentive taking out plates, replenishing drinks and bread, etc. I got the impression that people didn't leave hungry, but that they drank less because there was little wine left in the bottles. The Sunday menu seems interesting for €15, and costs the same as a children's menu in the group ones. Even so, the food is of good quality and flavor.

We were served by a girl who could not have been better 🥰 The meat on the stone is amazing and the cheesecake is spectacular 🔝🔝🔝🔝 The decoration is also very good and right in the center of Ourense. I will definitely return because I loved it.

(Translated by Google) On our first visit to the city after the lockdown due to covid, we opted for this steakhouse for lunch. My partner had heard about it, but neither of us had been until this day. As always, we went with a reservation, because we don't like to risk and find that we don't have a table and we have to wander around to find somewhere to eat. Here is one of the "buts" that we are going to add to our visit. We were going with the idea of eating suckling pig since it is their specialty, but when we got there, it turned out that due to the somewhat special situation, due to the capacity limit, we had to order it, something that they could have warned us about during the reservation , taking into account that it is his specialty. Beyond that, few problems can be caused to the premises. Portions adjusted to their price, with very good flavor. The treatment by the service is more than correct. In fact, regarding the price, we thought it was going to be much more expensive due to its location, but not at all. I attach to the review some photos of the portions that the food consisted of, and the ticket, so that everyone can draw conclusions about the quantity/price relationship. The truth is that we will return to get rid of the regret of not having been able to try the suckling pig.

(Translated by Google) We ate the Saturday menu. First, a scallop salad. We were surprised by the presentation and flavor. Very rich and the cheese also very good combination with all the elements. The staff very friendly and attentive. So far everything is very good. For the second we ordered mixed churrasco. It came with a piece of pork, another piece of beef, half a Creole and about 15 French fries. A very small portion. I have never seen anywhere so scarce. We ask you well in advance. Raw wine. We told the waitress and she took it. It came back in some parts done and others still raw. One of the pieces was quite fatty and specifically the piece of beef, I had never seen churrasco like this. We practically left everything except the potatoes. When they took our plate away we told the waitress and she simply said (how horrible). At no time did he tell us to put a little more, or we'll serve you something else, nothing... For dessert we had homemade grandmother's cake. It was rich, with quite a few layers and felt fresh. A good portion. I liked it a lot. Yes, the atmosphere was very cold. In fact, I had the scarf around my shoulders because the atmosphere was not pleasant. That's why almost when we finished we left, at no time did they offer us compensation for the steak that we didn't eat, no apologies... Or anything. With those details we will not repeat. Me gusto mucho.

(Translated by Google) A group of friends had dinner, and there were things that I loved and others not so much. POINTS IN FAVOR 1)the food is very delicious, high quality food. 2)The decoration...you feel comfortable. 3)The Vega Sicilia is to die for, but it makes the menu quite expensive. POINTS AGAINST 1)We went on a Saturday and despite having booked, we spent 30 minutes waiting to be served, I think it's ridiculous. Furthermore, the main dish, sirloin and fish (I don't know which one was served), took a long time to bring, after the last starter, so much so that I was almost hungry. There is nothing that bothers me more than having to wait a long time between dishes. 2) Later a waitress, when serving me the Scallop, stained my pants, I showed it to her, she apologized, but I told her to bring me a stain remover and I'm still waiting today for her to bring it to me; I find it lacks customer service. 3) It is expensive, and the amount of food is on the low side.... And we paid €30 per head out of our pocket and the rest of the price was paid by the Association to which I belong, so I don't know the total. I won't be back, that's of course.

The food was spectacular and the service a dream. The only complaints were lots of flies and the wine (a really strong mencia) took a while to breathe. Other than that, i am happy to report we waddled out of there extremely satisfied and would highly recommend

I was really impressed by service and food quality at the restaurant. Hotel rooms are also nice to stay overnight. Definitely going to come back once.

We made this reservation last minute and we didn’t know what to expect but we saw pictures of the restaurant and decided to go for it. What a wonderful decision. First the hotel has a Michelin star from 2024 and it is absolutely true. the room is very clean very spacious, the only complaint would be that the AC is not on because we were told that it’s only set up for heat at the time we made the reservation in late May, and the toilet seemed to be a little bit loose. We went for a walk around Rabade, very quiet small town that we fell in love with. For dinner at 8:30pm, we went to the restaurant, and they took us to the asador. At the Asador, the service was incredibly efficient and kind like we’ve never experienced in Spain. The menu is delicious. We started with artichoke hearts with jamón ibérico salt, delicious. The main dish was lamb leg that I 100% recommend. It was perfectly cooked. Delicate, tender, juicy. It was a great amount for two people. We had a local Cantabrico red wine. That was good. Bold and delicious. We ended with a house made cheesecake that was spectacular.

Restaurante Paprica is a sleek and understated venue that offers inventive Galician cuisine and local wines. The chef, Alvaro Villasante, creates a creative menu that changes with seasonal products, featuring dishes like the scallop maki which comes highly recommended. The restaurant provides a harmonious blend of subtle flavors and textures using high-quality local ingredients, with many dishes showing a Japanese influence. The service is excellent, attentive, and well-paced, making for an enjoyable dining experience.
We were there during San Froilán. We both had the degustación menu, which was sublime. It is difficult to select which of the many courses was the best. Their food is such a harmonious blend of subtle flavors and textures, using local ingredients of the highest quality. Each plate was a revelation. Many of the dishes showed a Japanese influence. The service was excellent, attentive and well paced. Our server was kindly very patient with my weak Spanish, and also communicated some in English. 100% recommended for a memorable meal.

I love the fact Alvaro’s delicate work goes deep offering different textures and flavors all his creations. I would never imagine egg plant could be so fun, nor I ever thought Flan could be reinvented. Definitely, I have to invent something to come back, with family, to Lugo!

A “want to be Michelin” restaurant, which I would have rated higher, if I had compared it to a regular restaurant. However, compared to a true 1 * Michelin, it is average. On the other hand, prices are very affordable (for a wanna be Michelin). We ordered a Ceviche, which was actually a “Tiradito” and was pretty good, though now wow. Our veal was much tougher than expected. especially after the long introduction. Our rice was too salty, too sour and the rabbit chewy.
Z U — Google review
Simply stunning. We had the tasting menu and I would highly recommend to go for it.
Andreas K — Google review
Recently discovered this place in Lugo. Really nice spot for elevated Spanish/Galician cuisine in Lugo. Good vegetarian options as well, something that is quite rare in Spain. Great recommendations regarding the wines as well by the staff. Will definitely return.
Jan K — Google review
Poor service. Went there with my parents and ordered 3 tasting menus (the most expensive item on the menu) it took them 2.5 hours for the tasting to finalize, almost 15-20 minutes in between each plate. Aside from that, I had to ask for the menu for us to notice they had forgotten one of the courses. I told them this and they apologized but just offered a cup of wine right at the end of a 2.5hr slow service. If you expect me to pay fully then give me everything I’m paying for, or at least have the courtesy of not charging us for the bread and cokes, for gods sake. If you are busy, then also understand you CANNOT provide a FULL tasting menu ON TIME and LEARN to indicate this to your guests, you are not a McDonald’s. €200 wasted
Alfredo O — Google review
I’m having trouble writing a description of this transcendent meal in English let alone my broken Spanish. Reserve a table yourself and decide if the staff of Paprica are witches, angels, sorcerers, mambos, or generous practitioners of culinary hedonism and hospitality. Galileo Restaurante is a highly recommended fusion restaurant that offers unique and expertly crafted dishes. The Galimisu, a sensational dessert, along with the chestnuts, are particularly noteworthy. In addition to their delectable food, Galileo Restaurante also impresses with its exceptional service and extensive wine selection. Don't miss the opportunity to try their tasting menu for 50, which promises to be an unforgettable culinary experience.

(Translated by Google) Very beautiful site on the outskirts of the city. The service was very correct except that we asked for another bottle of the same wine and they didn't have it (they didn't serve it in the first place) and they brought one that they said was “similar” to the first one and it wasn't. The starters are the best without a doubt: scallops, octopus and scrambled eggs with ham. The main ones, although I highlight the fusion of Galician and Italian, the pasta has too much cream (it might not even have it). The noodles are very delicious. The dish with shrimp is normal in other places although the citrus touch stands out. The pasta dish with lobster and curry is for palates craving curry only or it will not be liked. I recommend the turnip top ravioli. The desserts leave a lot to be desired. The prices are higher than other sites of equal or better level. I'll be back for the starters.

(Translated by Google) The owner's attention leaves a lot to be desired. A restaurant with more pretensions than it really is. For years he has had the folded tables piled up in a gallery of the restaurant for people to see. And honestly a restaurant of this category cannot afford mistakes like this. The food is correct for its category. I would even say that their dishes are outdated copies of a Michelin star restaurant. Nestled in a picturesque setting, Restaurante Terras do Miño is a delightful gem that truly shines during the summer months. This charming eatery has become a favorite among locals, making it an ideal spot for both dining and socializing. The inviting terrace offers stunning views of the surrounding forest and river, perfect for enjoying drinks with friends or indulging in their renowned ice cream sundaes after a scenic stroll along the Rio Rato.
Beautiful restaurant, which looks especially stunning during the summer months. I haven't had the chance to eat here but it seems popular amongst the locals. The ice cream sundaes look amazing, and well priced. I would recommend this place, even just for a drink with friends on the terrace. I have finally tried the ice cream sundaes, and they go down a treat after a long walk along the Rio Rato!

Ave Cesar is a hidden gem that truly shines when it comes to delightful dining experiences. Upon arrival, you might find the place quiet, but don’t let that fool you; within minutes, it fills up with eager patrons who know where to find fantastic food. The menu features mouthwatering options like octopus and perfectly cooked steak, alongside a delicious daily special. Families are welcomed warmly here—one guest even noted how accommodating the staff were in preparing spaghetti bolognese for their little one!
Fantastic food!!! When we arrived at 2p.m. It was empty so we hesitated, but in 20min it was completely full and we know why! We had delicios octopus and steak. They were very opened to prepare extra spagetti bolognese for our little one:)

Good service, but sub-par food. The waiter was very attentive, courteous and helpful, but that doesn’t make up for what was coming out of the kitchen. We had menu del día, and we suspect the food was all made from frozen supermarket stock, judging by the poor quality. The waiter even admitted that none of the desserts were made in-house (!). Went for coffee instead.

To be honest, the apartment is good and the location is a bit good but what happened to me I will never forget it was a really bad experience What happened is that I forgot the key of the apartment in the door from the inside, and these things happen to you in any place of residence, and the owners of the place must help you free of charge. I am a hotelier and have a lot of experience with these things What happened was that he sent the cleaning employee to open the door, but she was unable to open the door because the key was in the door from inside, so I spoke with the owner he told me that he would send someone to open the door for me, but I had to pay him. I told him no problem and I expected the amount to be simple And when this person came to open the door, it only took him seconds and asked me for 180 euros Knowing that I rented this apartment for two days only 112 euros It seems that the owner of the apartment is dealing with mafia men to help him open the doors because the amount he asked from me is not normal Yes, it was my mistake that I forgot the key inside, but you have no right to do this scam with me

Restaurante Prebe by Bret offers a unique farm-to-table experience in Lugo. The restaurant provides a great tasting menu for groups, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience. The attentive and speedy service adds to the overall satisfaction. The dishes are highly elaborate with exquisite presentation, making it stand out in the city's gastronomic scene. While not cheap, the quality of the food, service, and attention to detail make it worth the price.
Excelent local product with focus on seafood and matured fish and meat. Well selected offer of Galician and foreign wines. Informal tapas-bar in the ground floor and more gastronomic restaurant upstairs that I definitely recommend. Bret Fernández is perhaps one of the most talented chefs currently in Galicia.

Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Lugo, will definitely be going back there. The food was top notch and great music to accompany our lovely meal.
Jessica P — Google review
The food was amazing. The service was even better. We were in Lugo for a few hours to walk around a bit and maybe walk the Camiño path nearby. We saw this place, and had a feeling we just needed to try it, so we ducked in and made a dinner reservation. Then we got trapped on the mountain in the rain. The only path back was being used for a marathon. Everything was wet, and we were splashed with mud from passing runners and a few mishaps of our own. We cleaned up in the car and were embarrassed to arrive looking a mess. We thought about changing restaurants to somewhere less formal, but we couldn't shake the feeling that we really wanted to try this place, and we're not in Lugo often. We both expected to get turned away at the door. So we went a little early to the bar to get a feel for whether we could stay. The staff was actually incredibly nice, reassuring us we could eat. Instead of kicking us out (like they would here in Santiago), they made sure we knew there are 2 menus and two restaurants inside. And let us look at both from the bar. Maybe they hoped we would stick with tapas downstairs but we were absolutely famished. They seated us and gave us incredible treatment regardless. You would swear we were celebrities by the way our waiter ensured everything was perfect the whole meal. The San Martinho was more of a traditional galician style dish. Perfectly prepared, and full of natural flavor. The lubina was an artistic masterpiece. We had side dishes of patatas fritas, white asapargus, and roasted puerros. The waiter recommended the puerros, with reason. The combinations of flavors and textures was incredible. And being treated well, despite showing up as adventure hippies is a rare treat in itself. The attached image is the appetizers they brought to the table. 14/10 will be returning the next time I'm in Lugo!

(Translated by Google) I still remember when Don León offered you artisan pastries at affordable prices. Now they're "exclusive" cafes (in terms of prices, because the rest are still normal cafes with pretensions) where they charge you 1.50 for a piece of tiny, pre-frozen, industrial pastry and a medium coffee (of questionable flavor) for almost 2 bucks. I haven't been for one in a while, and it'll be a while before I go back. The best part is the attentiveness of the staff. They've either gone crazy or the owners must have had heat stroke or something. Rice restaurant A Cofradia de Rinlo is a local favorite for its arroz caldoso, seafood broth with rice. The restaurant also serves baked and grilled fish. It's a great place to go for lunch or dinner, and it's also open late night. Parking is available, and the restaurant accommodates wheelchairs.
The best arroz caldoso at the best price. We ordered 2 portions for 3 people, and it was enough.

The Arroz caldoso con Bogabante was fantastic, the best I ever had, full of flavour and Bogabante, and the cheesecake (Spanish style) was amazing. But the service was very poor, maybe because we arrived at the "rush hour". On a sunny warm day the terrace is very pleasant. No doubt that is a place to visit for the food. It is highly recommended to make a reservation. If you want to have any of their special dishes (such as the Arroz caldoso con Bogabante) indicate it at the moment of making the reservation. Very reasonable prices for the quality and quantity of the food.

We had an amazing experience at A Cofradía de Rinlo! The location is stunning, right in the port of Rinlo with beautiful sea views. The seafood was incredibly fresh; I especially loved the "arroz caldoso de marisco" – it was bursting with flavor. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made the meal even more enjoyable. The service was top-notch, attentive without being intrusive. I highly recommend making a reservation to ensure a spot. This place is a true gem for anyone visiting Galicia!

The food was not special . The rice was overcooked and the taste of the sauce was very mild. The waiters didn’t ask if we need appetizers they just put the arroz and they forgot to serve the break. The service and experience was below average. The coffee tasted horrible. The check had a mistake. The overall experience was average.

Restaurante La Solana is a charming establishment in Ribadeo, Spain, boasting a rustic ambiance with wooden floors and stone walls. Renowned for its Galician stews, grilled meats, and rice dishes, this restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience. Situated at Rua Antonio Otero 41, it serves delectable seafood along with Mediterranean and European cuisine.
A few years ago, the monkfish tail here was really unforgettable, with a cute plate, round bread on the table, everything was finger-licking, and I came back again. The monkfish cooking method has changed to an ordinary fish dish, but fortunately the seafood 🦞 paella is absolutely five stars, not too salty, everything just right!! Oysters are fresh and sweet. Still will keep come back here again on my next trip. :)

We went to this place with 6. Ordered dinner. The food was good, as was the wine. The waiter was unresponsive, we had to ask several times if we needed something and the place wasn't crowded all. The portions were good. The price is high. The bread that they put on the table costs 1,2 eur per person, this isn't indicated anywhere. If you don't want this tell the waiter to take it away.

Great portions and quality at a good price. Service very attentive. Typical "Arroz con Bogavante" but all the dishes are delicious at a moderate price. To drink, a bottle of "Albariño". Saturdays and Sundays essential to book, although you can have luck getting a table. Dont forget to order "arroz con leche" and "Tarta de queso" for dessert.

Stepping through the door, in Ferrol, on Galicia’s rugged Atlantic coast I was greeted by the lively hum of a full house—eight people already waiting, a clear sign of a restaurant that locals treasure. As a solo diner, I expected to join the queue, but instead the gentleman at the entrance smiled, cleared a corner of the bar, and created a place just for me. It was a small gesture, but one that instantly set the tone: this was not just a meal, it was hospitality in its purest sense. The menu, written only in Galician and Spanish, might have posed a challenge to an outsider, yet here it became part of the adventure. With patience and warmth, my host guided me through the dishes, painting vivid pictures of each one and steering me toward his favorites. His choices did not disappoint. The baby squid arrived first—delicate, tender, with a freshness that spoke of the nearby coast. Then came the scallops, seared to perfection, sweet and briny in equal measure. For dessert, he shared something even more personal: a slice of walnut torta, baked to his mother’s recipe. It was rustic, rich, and deeply comforting, like being welcomed into a family kitchen. Food of this quality deserves a worthy companion, and it found one in a crisp glass of Albariño. Bright, mineral, and refreshing, it tied the whole experience together, anchoring the flavors firmly in Galicia’s maritime traditions. What made the evening unforgettable, however, was not just the excellence on the plate but the spirit in the room. This was a place where service was not scripted but heartfelt, where a diner was not simply fed but cared for. It felt less like eating out and more like being invited into a story of place, tradition, and people. Leaving the restaurant, I carried with me more than the memory of a wonderful meal. I carried a sense of Galicia itself—its flavors, its warmth, and its quiet generosity.

Stopped here for lunch on the way west. Even though we arrived late it was still full and we had to wait about 20min for a table. But a wait well worth it. There are a good number of tables inside and outside. Also many customers standing with their drinks and chatting. Everybody seems to have a good time. So did we. And our Bulldog was welcome as well. Atmosphere is very nice, staff friendly, the wine is flowing and the food is excellent. Ordered some white wine, almejas (clams), raxo (pork) and paté de merluza (pike). Everything was cooked to order and was freshly prepared. The clams very nice and fresh, the paté very smooth with a nice, but not overpowering fish flavour. And the pork was nicely marinated with lots of good spices. High quality pork. There were more very interesting items on the menu. But maybe next time, these three dishes were enough food for two for a quick lunch. But all very good items. Surely a place we'll be back to one day.

Typical tapas place in the village center. It seems it’s the most popular place around so get in early to avoid a long wait. We had excellent “zamburiñas”, and good mussels and “raxo”. Staff was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere sitting outside was great. We paid about 40 euros for 2 with 3 drinks

A small queue outside at opening time told us all we needed to know. Welcoming staff. A simple menu of local produce still left us watching other dishes being served with envy. Fare was superb cooked by the family chefs. If you are visiting Viveiro this is a must!

Restaurante San Miguel is a must-visit in Ribadeo, offering a delightful dining experience with its specialty in Asturian cuisine. The restaurant boasts a balcony overlooking the estuary, providing a picturesque backdrop for enjoying their delectable dishes. From traditional favorites like fabada and pote asturiano to seafood delights such as mussels, prawns, lobster, and the catch of the day, every dish is prepared using top-quality ingredients.
For a guaranteed enjoyment be sure to make a reservation in advance. The staff is very friendly and fairly professional. We had a HUGE and well cooked steak with fries ans pimientos de padron. And the black squid with rice and potatoes (?). And a fresh salad with Tuna, tomatoes and red onions. Served with tasty Bread like fresh from the oven. All very tasty and more than an adult can eat. The staff wouldn't mind to make ma a doggy bag for taking approximately 500g of my delicious steak back to our ship. All food and wine (bottle of Gewürztraminer) was justified the price. My cooking advice for the squid: A bit more seasoning, salt and lime juice would leave a more balanced taste. Better don't combine rice with potatoes. Change potatoes for fresh vegetables. For instance: stir fried Broccoli or sweet paprika, zucchini and egg plant. Thank you for the friendly service and nice food. Will be back on our next stop in Ribadeo.

The food was pretty good and the restaurant was big enough for a good amount of people to be there. The view is incredible too, truly loved the area. The service was not bad but they were very dry and in a rush which is understandable because of the amount of people but I just felt rushed and a bit uncomfortable

The food was disgraceful, lamb cutlets were like rubber boots, one steak (which was asked for medium rare) was barely edible and the second steak was asked for well done “no pink or blood” and came like the photo below. All food was left on the plate and no staff even bothered to ask if everything was okay or what was wrong. Very disappointing. Waste of €70.

(Translated by Google) Last Sunday, the 21st, we went to Braseros Casa Reboiro and the experience was very good from start to finish. We ordered a variety of croquettes to start, and they were truly amazing: each one with its own distinct touch, very creamy and flavorful, and you can tell they're made with care. We then shared an old beef ribeye steak, which was cooked to perfection, with an intense and authentic grilled flavor, tender and juicy meat that speaks for itself of the quality of the product. We also tried the burgers, which were equally impressive: top-quality meat, well-cooked, with bread and sides that complete a well-rounded dish. The service was friendly and attentive throughout, ensuring we didn't miss anything and making thoughtful recommendations. Despite it being a Sunday and being quite busy, the timing was reasonable and the atmosphere very pleasant. As for the price, the value is excellent: the quality of the meat and the skillful cooking fully justify the bill. We left very satisfied, both with the food and the service we received. Definitely a place worth returning to to continue exploring the menu and repeat that steak.

Really great burgers. As with most places in this part of Spain there wasn't an English translation of the menu and the waiters didn't speak any English. So it was a bit of a lottery. What we ordered was great though. One of the best I've had 👍.

Wow, this is not your normal burger place. They serve really innovative burgers that taste excellent. In the Country burger they separate the egg whites and the yolks and then cook separately. You get a runny yolk in the exact center of the burger. Yum. The Piedmont came with blue cheese. They cook the burger patties perfectly. The desserts are also tasty and innovative. The staff were helpful and gave us a table just before opening at 8pm. We looked at the menu through the website to get a translation and that really helped with the ordering. There is nice updates tables and a ground floor bar area. The kitchen is only open during normal Spanish eating hours so you can’t get a burger at anytime even though the bar is open all day.

Ate there on 15th May. Came without a reservation but after waiting at the bar the host found a table for 2 for me and my partner. The views are spectacular, matched by the service and the food. We both looked at each other and laughed after seeing the bill at how affordable the food was. Absolutely wonderful experience, a real highlight of our Camino. Thank you O Mirador!

Lovely location overlooking the water. Food v good. At around 1020 without any notice or request for us to leave they turned out the lights. Appalling customer service and frankly very bad manners.. we had spent more than 200€ for what was real good food and were finishing our drinks . In 40 years of dining out this has never happened to me before.

Our first day walking the Camino. We went there for refreshments and a little food mid afternoon after a long walk... great food, great service. We were especially impressed with our server, Hugo, who was maximally patient and accommodating with us as we ordered, dealing with a minor commucation gap. If you walk the camino and land in Portamin, this is a great stop to recharge

Restaurante A Lonxa may not win any awards for its exterior, but it comes highly recommended for its exceptional seafood. The restaurant is housed in a fish processing factory, giving it an unassuming appearance from the outside. However, once inside, diners are treated to a special experience with great food and attentive service. The menu features an array of fresh fish and seafood dishes that have left many patrons impressed with their quality and presentation.
If you see the building its a fish processing factory and you feel entering to the canteen of the factory going inside. But when you enter they have great food, service and a special experience amongst locals.

(Translated by Google) Good restaurant, good food, and good service, you couldn't ask for more... The octopus was delicious, and so was everything else. A wide variety of wines. We saw the grilled fish go by and were left wanting more. We'll be back... The waiter was kind and friendly. They have three rooms: the one inside for a set menu, which today was €14 and was good, another for smokers, and the one they showed us, which is a la carte, with views of the port, very cool. P.S.: The homemade baked cheesecake was very good.

(Translated by Google) A seafood restaurant with a good value. It's important to book several days in advance, as it tends to fill up quickly. The restaurant is divided into two spaces: one very pretty and well-decorated with sea views, and the other more rustic and charmless. Unfortunately, we were assigned the second seating in the less attractive part, as there was no room in the area with the view. The service took a while to serve us, although it wasn't excessive. We ordered seafood and fish grills, which were adequate, but nothing exceptional. If you're in the area and can get a table, it's a good option. But if it involves driving for more than an hour, in my opinion, it's not worth it.

Restaurante Barrilete is a modern and vibrant taverna that offers delectable Galician fish stews, rice dishes, and wood-fired pizzas. The menu may be perplexing, but it's advisable to order for the whole table and share everything. The scallops with garlic and the octopus come highly recommended. The food's quality justifies its price. While speaking Spanish is advantageous, Google Translate can help if you don't speak the language. The waitstaff is exceptionally friendly.
Stopped by for lunch - food was delicious and fresh. I loved the scallops, they were delicious. Menu is slightly confusing - they have it in English and German as well but you will manage to navigate through. Would recommend stopping by - it is slightly expensive but i felt it was worth it as the food was delicious.

La Quinta Ribadeo is a rustic eatery that specializes in traditional grilled meat dishes and seafood delicacies. Their homestyle desserts are also worth trying. The restaurant is highly recommended for its delectable grilled offerings, which are cooked to perfection on charcoal. One standout dish is the grilled pulpo, while the grilled Black Angus beef arrives with a stone plate for customers to cook it to their liking. Pairing these dishes with a glass of red wine creates an enjoyable dining experience.
Go for the grilled dishes, highly recommended!! After having steam pulpo for a few days, we were craving for something grilled on charcoal. So, we ordered the grilled pulpo, it was grilled to perfection. And the grilled Black Angus beef came slided and you grilled to your liking on a stone plate, pairing with a red wine, we had so much fun dining at this place.

Poor quality when ordering delivery. Better to order at restaurant. Much better in person. Roll was not fully rolled, so falls apart. Some rolls didn’t have fish. There was so little ginger that it was just one small bag for one bite. The evening is ruined. Not recommend delivery ‼️😫❌

Very stylish location, nice decor, friendly & fast staff. Food is really fresh and the wine is tasty. I had the menu which was very good with a moderate price. The taste was good but for my liking sometimes a bit too much and over the top. A little bit more nuanced favors would be even better. Still I would highly recommend this place for high quality sushi in Lugo. Especially for me visiting as a pilgrim it was great to get something different compared to the default “menu del dis” you get all the time.

Because of the good references, we were looking forward to our dinner at Sibuya, but afterwards it was not satisfying. The woman who served us seemed not to have fun in her job. Later anoyher woman also served us, who seemed to be more enthusiast. We ordered our meals, but did not get exactly what we ordered. We did not get Yakitori, but got double Yakisoba de Pollo. The food was of mixed quality. The sushi was good, the Yakisoba de Pollo was not so good. We got twice that dish, but with a different taste… Maybe it was because we were the first in the restaurant, but for us it was not an experience that makes us wanting to come back again.

Nestled along the stunning Galician coastline, Restaurante Nito offers a delightful dining experience that beautifully marries traditional fish and seafood dishes with an impressive selection of Spanish wines. The contemporary setting enhances the charm, especially from its terrace where diners can soak in breathtaking ocean views. Since 1970, Nito has established itself as a culinary landmark in Galicia, known for its high-quality ingredients and elegant atmosphere.
I attended this restaurant while the Resurrection Fest was taking place. It was the only place in the area where I could eat my lunch in peace and use a clean bathroom with soap. Although the food was overpriced, the peace and great service compared to the surroundings were definitely worth it. The seafood had a very good flavour too.

Very nice view and atmosphere, staff very nice and polite. Appetizers were good but my plate wasn’t, I took beef filet but the sauce was sort of a gravy but not a very good one. Please correct this for the price !!

Stunning views from its terrace looking to the sea, superb fish and seafood followed by a kind service. Nito has also a good wine list with local and international references including small winemakers. Price is definitely hard due to the quality of the product and the elegance of the venue but also to his fame, built since 1970 as one of the main references of the traditional food in Galicia

Stopped for lunch, and were sat at a table outside as we have a small dog accompanying us. The food was good but nothing outstanding. Perhaps we should have tried some other dishes. But the staff inside the restaurant were very professional and the views from the restaurant terrace are incredible.
Bhikhu V — Google review
This a very expensive restaurant with a low quality food. The only thing positive about this place is the view from the terrasse. The entrees were fair. The pulpo was ok, but does not compare to the other we had Galicia. The main courses were very bad. The rice was not even well cooked, there was crunchy grains. Even if this is a easy meal solution if you are staying at the hotel, take your car and go to the city to get a decent meal. More than 100 euros with a bottle of white wine and meals for 2 people. Very disappointing.

Restaurante Campos is an elegant, long-standing establishment located in an 18th-century building in the heart of Lugo. It offers refined Galician cuisine and is highly recommended for a fine dining experience. The restaurant's white-tablecloth setting and attentive waitstaff create a sophisticated atmosphere, making it somewhat pricier than surrounding eateries but well worth the cost for those seeking a special dining experience.
Fantastic meal. Probably the most expensive we've had in Galicia but one of the best. Service was refined and attentive. The room is light and elegant. We ordered the anchovies, the crab cream, the fried lobster and the sole, and the server's recommended Albariño was excellent. We were too full for desserts, but the ones we saw on other tables looked delicious. The staff are prepared to accommodate english speakers.

This is the most luxurious dining experience I have ever had. I brought my parents to Restaurante Campos when they visited Lugo as a treat for my father's birthday. Everything was absolutely perfect, the staff are absolutely wonderful, and the food was fantastic. The food portions are very generous. I was very impressed at how reasonably priced the food is compared with the outstanding quality.

The quality of the ingredients speak for themselves. I would say you get incredible food that is made with a lot of love. And the location is ideal. There is upstairs seating and outside seating. The upstairs seating is a little bit more formal. You get a lot of table service which can be a bit weird but I understand that in a high fine dining restaurant like this you need to have a lot of attention from the waiters. All the food was delicious however the salad came with no dressing but they did bring the dressing on the side. I'm not sure, maybe that's normal. But once we added the dressing it was absolutely incredible. For me the inside seating felt a little bit stuffy but I usually prefer to be in a more relaxed environment and often prefer to dine outside in the summers. I still would come back to this place even though the prices are high but of course you get a lot of value and high quality ingredients.

We had the set menu this lunchtime, with two choices per course. Delicious well-cooked food and excellent, attentive service. We had a good bottle of wine, which was decanted for us and my husband approved of the training being given to a, presumably new, waitress. Nice ambience and obviously popular restaurant. Not cheap, so this will go down as one of our "special" meals this holiday. Would definitely come here again.

Hotel Restaurante Roma offers well-lit, modestly furnished accommodations in a laid-back setting, complete with an on-site dining establishment and complimentary internet access. Patrons have praised the exceptional quality of their dinner experience, awarding both the cuisine and staff with top marks. Guests can indulge in delectable homemade yogurt sourced from the hotel's own farm. Furthermore, the kitchen operates until late hours compared to other restaurants in Portugal.
This is about restaurant, not for hotel. We remembered the excellent dishes and pleasant atmosphere from our visit years ago, so we decided to return. The food, especially the meat, was just as outstanding as before. However, one regret was that we weren’t given a choice between indoor or outdoor seating when we made a reservation —we were placed outside only. Unfortunately, it happened to be during a heatwave, and without even a fan, it was difficult to fully enjoy the meal. I understand this may have been an exceptional circumstance, but I hope the restaurant can consider measures to ensure customers are more comfortable in such conditions in the future.

I join others who have noted that the bar staff will not help you. I waited for half an hour at the bar and finally a Spanish pilgrim gave me some water from his bottle because I could not order coffee. Very rude. Room looks instutional and it smelled bad, like perfume covering up other smells. It was loud. I was awoken early and slept worse than in a hostel. For the price point, I expected better. The lobby is nice, but not the rooms.

Great hotel near the North part of Sarria an it is in walking distance to shops and other restaurant. But the hotel's own restaurant is very good and the breakfast has plenty of food. The hotel's restaurant is next door and you go down a flight of stairs. The staff here are very fast and helpful. It is my recommend hotel for your walk the Camino de Santiago.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, I was at another nearby hotel and the restaurant was closed on Sunday. So the staff recommended Hotel Roma for dinner. I walked there and entered the foyer and the staff, 2 men, were talking to a group of older women. He was very friendly with them and I waited patiently for them to finish. Just as they did two new people walked in and the men immediately greeted them and ignored me completely. It was like I was invisible. I was shocked and hurt and turners and left. Luckily I found a much better place, La Isla Sarria down by the Malecón.

We had a nice room. Dinner in the restaurant was OK. Breakfast the next morning was awful with stale, cold toast on our table already. A very bad tempered waiter was very unhelpful when we asked for fresh coffee and were told we had to finish the stewed coffee first! Little fruit and no yoghurt. Not a great start for our day’s walking on the Camino Way!
Derryn P — Google review
We’ve had two great stays at Hotel Roma as the starting place to our Sarria to Santiago pilgrimages. Hotel Roma offers a clean great night of sleep, and is well located, right next to the train station (if you arrive that way). There’s a Mercadona grocery store a 5 minute walk away for last minute snacks or toiletries. We actually ate dinner there the night we arrived in Sarria. The Hotel Roma has a restaurant for dinner or breakfast (reservations recommended) and a small quick breakfast area. A few minute walk will get you to the start of the Camino. You can get a credential notebook at the little shop down the street (ask at the desk) for 2€ in cash.

We came here for lunch based on the reviews - and were very happy with it! We came midweek Ona cloudy day and this was the only place with people in it at 1pm. Great service - with English! We ordered octopus and mussels as a half portion each with 50cl of white wine as a snack lunch. Called on the way to see if we needed a reservation and they were able to fit us in! Menos mal, because at 9:30 the place filled up! Pleasant dinner with great service! All the servers were very friendly and professional. We ordered the warm salad with langostinos, zamburiñas and gulas with blueberry dressing, which was delicious. We ordered the pulpo a feira, but we wish we’d ordered the pulpo a la plancha because this dish was not warm- it came out tepid, and since they brought it out with the salad, by the time we got to eating it, it was cold. It was tasty, but note to the kitchen staff that they might want to add a few more minutes to warm it up! For our main dish we ordered the special- solomillo de ternera and it was absolutely delicious! Great quality, tender and cooked just right 👏 Would definitely repeat this dish! Dessert- empanada de manzana and the coulant de chocolate sin gluten- both classic desserts, maybe a dollop of whipped cream would have been nice with the empanada de manzana. Recommended? Yes! We will return. But next time we’ll order the zamburiñas, parrillada de verduras, and maybe some type of guiso with shellfish. For those who are sensitive to gluten/ need gluten free options, this place has plenty, but I cannot certify if it is celiac friendly.

Excellent service and the food was of a really high standard! My boyfriend loved the ensalada templada - I had the grilled vegetables with patatas bravas. Finding veggie options can be tough so this was a real gem! Great value.

Fantastic restaurante totally unexpected. We got off the highway because of the time and were pleasantly surprised that Villalba has a Parador. Since we had made a quick reservation we continued to the Meson of which we expected normal fare. All to the contrary - great interior, perfect service and delicious food - and a decent price. Highly recommend.

Meson do Campo is the quintessential reason for passing Vilalba: central location with cosy ambiance with cool jazz music both in the downstairs bar and the upstairs restaurant in a perfectly relaxed ambiance, absolutely delicious and innovative menus, an astonishing Galician wine cellar and especially a personal and passionate team service, where Sommelier Elisabeth made the difference for us. The curry monkfish lasanha with a GOLIARDO a Telleira Albariño was the absolute height of our night. This is worth a detour!!

Restaurante España is a popular gastropub in Lugo, offering a split-level dining experience. Upstairs, guests can enjoy a more sophisticated à la carte menu, while the first floor offers a simpler sampler menu. Downstairs, diners have the flexibility to choose from both menus. The modern decor features comfortable seating in shades of blues and greys. The restaurant offers an excellent menu del dia downstairs in a pleasant and informal atmosphere.
I came to the restaurant alone with a reservation. I wanted to order chuleton but the serving is way too big for one person, so I ordered a different cut. The restaurant is tranquil and clean with good lighting at night, which is good for me since I am sensitive to bright lighting. The servers are friendly and observant to my needs. I would definitely come back with friends to try the chuleton!

Great inventive food, good Galician wine, friendly service - it does annoy me when restaurants charge for bread you don't ask for, but everything else was impeccable.

Small portions for glasses of wine. The bread felt quite dry but the ox was delicious as well as the tartar. We asked for a salad and got very minimally chopped veggies, but the service was great.

One of the popular gastro-pubs in Lugo. Operates a split level, 2 menu foodie experience. Upstairs a la carte and on the 1st floor a sampler more simple menu, if you sitt downstairs you can pick and chose from both menu's, upstairs "a la carte" only,, we sat downstairs... The decor is modern, in shades of blues and grey's, the seating is very comfy and overall a well thoughout presentation. We sampled 5 different plates, skipping from, baby beef to tuna tartar, by way of a succulent chistorra, pausing for a roast beef sandwich, followed by a salmon maki.... The melody of flavors enchanted, of course the usual comments of a bit more of this, less of that and opinions and ranking of each followed 😋 The service was excellent, the prices MORE than fair, all in a very safe/desinfected environment! En Hora Buena España 👏👏👏

Room is tiny but neat. Bathroom is quite small and shower doesn’t even have much room to move around in. Elevator is very small and could only fit 3 people or else it wouldn’t move. Restaurant servers were rude, did not try to help our group, and eventually made us leave just for sitting down for dinner a little early. Ended up getting dinner elsewhere and I’m glad we didn’t have to deal with them. Oh, and watch your head on the way in - the patio cover is very low!

This restaurant is EXCELLENT! Everything about this place was perfect! The service and food exceeded our expectations! The gentleman that checked us out offered a nice liquor desert after our meal and it was delightful. Definitely one of our best experiences in Spain.
Ben W — Google review
Rooms are totally fine, bed was comfy and shower was good. It's basic and fine, it's a pension not a hotel. The stars I've given are for the restaurant, not the room. The restaurant on the other hand, forgot to put our order through til half an hour after we'd sat down. The guy told us he forgot and gave the order to the kitchen but when the food came it wasn't great. Nothing offered in terms of apology, still paid full and waiter was kind of snotty about it. Definitely overpriced for what it was, a tiny salad already covered in far too much oil and really basic spaghetti which appeared to come out of the fridge. I'd definitely give it a miss.
Christina S — Google review
Came here for Dinner; exceptional food, service and atmosphere. Best food on the Camino, hands down. Try it, you will not be disappointed! GREAT place!! **Review of Restaurant, only.
William B — Google review
Trust past reviews, restaurant service is horrible and unacceptable. Waiters got mad at us pretty much instantaneously because we dared to ask for a smaller order first, and a second order after that, rather than one big order. First beer was forgotten about and came in 20min later after being reminded 3 times. This was NOT during rush hour. Waiters were annoyed rather than apologetic. Dude, IT’S YOUR JOB. We were not even mad about it, we just wanted our drinks. Less than one hour after sitting down, they asked us to leave as they needed the table. We were not even half way through the last beer we ordered. Once we finished our drinks and dessert, we asked for a coffee, and the response was that we had to go get it outside - while it was raining. We refused. The odd thing is that the place WASN’T EVEN FULL, there were at least three open tables including one of the same size we were sitting at. Completely ruined the mood. I wish we picked a different place. The cherry on top was the morning breakfast the day after, when the POS we used the night before was now out of service, so we had to pay by cash, no receipt of course. The two girls were very cold toward us as well. The really sad thing is that the food and place are actually good, but the hospitality is so bad it ends up making everything else irrelevant. RUN FROM IT.

The Mermaids Scenic Restaurant is a delightful dining spot that boasts breathtaking views over the Viveiro estuary, making it a perfect choice for those who appreciate scenic backdrops while enjoying their meals. While some guests feel the restaurant may be slightly overrated and on the pricier side compared to local options, many rave about the delicious food offerings. (Translated by Google) The best thing about the restaurant is the views over the Viveiro estuary, although it's advisable to make a reservation to enjoy the best seats. Since we were staying at the hotel, we had lunch and dinner there a few days, and everything we ate was absolutely delicious. I would highlight the hake stuffed with seafood, the Galician-style hake, the calamari, and the fried eggs with baby eels and prawns. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. (Translated by Google) The dining room is very spacious and comfortable, especially if you get a table outside, which has spectacular views. Inside, the atmosphere is pleasant, calm, and there's plenty of space between tables. The waiters were very attentive and attentive. Regarding the food, the first thing to note is that the dishes are very generous, as is the price. I liked the octopus and the carenrd (fried pork) first-class. The monkfish in almond sauce was somewhat bland, and the monkfish on a skewer was somewhat better. We had a problem with a main course that took a long time to come out, and we finally ordered it to go because we'd lost our appetite, and we'd already eaten well. They had no problem packing it into a nice plastic container and bringing it back in a cardboard bag to take away. As for dessert, the filloas were incredible and equally enormous; you have to leave plenty of room to finish them. The blue cheesecake with strawberry ice cream was delicious, a unique flavor that isn't at all strong. If you're a cheese fan, I recommend it. The brownie was okay, though it wasn't my favorite. The price is expensive, but good, in keeping with the location, quality, and quantity. A highly recommended spot, and then having a coffee or a drink on the outdoor terrace overlooking the estuary rounds off the day.

Very popular place for lunch, unsurprisingly given the quality of the food. Extremely friendly waiter and they found us a table despite being full. The solomillo amuse bouche was the tenderest I've ever tasted, the pork ribs excellent, as was the grilled vegetables. Only disappointment was the aged beef churrasco which was so chewy as to be inedible. Desserts made up for it though, as did the service. Recommend booking, even midweek; it's that popular. The place is outstanding, really cozy and with a lot of old stuff. However, the food isn't that great, specially considering the price. It's just bland. For instance, the "croquetas" didn't taste like they were homemade but we payed like if they were, the sauce of the pork tenderloin tasted like a cheap supermarket ready to serve sauce. (Translated by Google) The place is very nice. The meal service starts at 1:45 p.m., as the waiter told us. However, when we arrived at 1:00 p.m., the sign said "open." We were supposed to eat. However, when we entered, we found the staff already eating, so we decided to reserve a table and take a walk around the area. I think the staff could improve their organization, as five tables arrived right after opening, and some were already eating when some of us didn't even have a drink. Two waiters, among them, perhaps need a little more communication. I have to say that they always treated us with kindness and respect. The food was all delicious: octopus with shrimp, potatoes with egg and chorizo, scallops, and especially the beef tenderloin, which was cooked perfectly just as we ordered. The place is beautiful for enjoying a good meal with views surrounded by nature. I would recommend making a reservation, as the rest of the tables were all reserved. You arrive at the parking lot and then you have to go down a cobbled path that takes less than 1 minute to reach the bar.

Truly wonderful. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left everything was perfect. The design, decoration, service, wine and of course the food were fantastic and a highlight of our trip around Galicia. The calamari were the best I ever had anywhere. Can't recommend highly enough

Great authentic Galician experience! Fresh salad, the Palometa vermelha was cooked to perfection, melted in my mouth, and the crumble de mantega con xelado de limon con merengue was the perfect ending to an amazing meal! Gracias!

Garden Monforte is a classy and vibrant restaurant known for its great ambience, attentive service, and delicious food. With a lively atmosphere and excellent service, it's the perfect spot to enjoy good drinks and tasty meals.
Food was very delicious. Uniquely plated. Restaurant is beautifully decorated — fun & lively. The waiter was very attentive.

Found this cozy place during our Ribeira Sacra trip, we all enjoyed it so much! The sushi looked so great that we had to order it, and didn’t disappoint at all. Our mains were burgers so big that we could barely finish them but we sure tried as the meat was excellent. As a dessert we got the creamiest cheesecake I ever had 🫠We later went downstairs for the terrace and we could have our drinks while watching some fireworks from the local festivities. We ended the night with some dancing as they have a dj in the lower floor!

The nachos w pork, while generously topped, we're way too salty. The cheesecake was fantastic, and so was the service. The two TVs were broadcasting live soccer matches, which didn't fit the ambiance

The hostel suggested us to come here. The food was just fantastic and authentic, all of them! (see the fotos) If you're a wine lover, just don't expect too much house wine (it's normal as a homemade there) House wine was ok. The guy was nice and the service was efficient! Strongly recommended!!

Spanish restaurant by the river recommended by hotel. Although the waitress did not speak much English but she is very friendly and nice☺️ food came out quickly and decent. On a nicer day, could enjoy the river view😌

This was our very first menu del dia experience. Despite the language issues, we were able to order excellent meals. The servings were very generous. The food was delicious and fresh. We sat inside as it was full on the terrace, so it was nice to be in the middle of very animated and fast conversations by locals. It was great! The cost of the meal was justified. Service was excellent too. Very prompt. Food was hot when it was served on our table. It's perfectly located by the river so try and get a table outside if you can.

Worst octopus I’ve had in all of Galicia. It was tough and chewy. We’re walking the Camino and have tried octopus in many places—this was by far the most disappointing. The food overall was below average. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.
Jenny B — Google review
The octopus was disappointing. Seemed like it was perhaps precooked or something; a bit bland and not interesting. Calamari and cod were both solid, but service was weak. For the price, can definitely get better in the area. To be totally fair, they had just hosted a large wedding party at the restaurant, so they were a bit slammed and possibly overwhelmed. Very nice location, though.

Great service and excellent food, it was out of ranking . Everything we est was perfect.
Victor C — Google review
Service was challenging, used google translate to ask for a medium to well fillet steak which arrived completely raw. This was in a way still ok but the attitude changed and the rest of the experience was unpleasant. Will simply never go back.
Dirk P — Google review
We had a great experience here. Staff was lovely, food delicious and very cool environment for the peregrinos. Few people serving and can get busy which means can be a bit slow but it’s not an issue when you are enjoying a local very well priced wine. We had dinner and wine for two for less that 18 euros.

The menu includes a variety of tapas and dishes such as pulpo and churrasco, along with a daily menu. The restaurant offers terrace seating and accepts card payments. Customers have praised the delicious dry-aged steak and recommended trying the regular options over the set menu.
Tried a delicious cuisine in here. I forgot the spanish name, it’s a mixture of Shrimps, Eels, and Eggs~😋
Issac T — Google review
Dry aged steak was absolutely amazing. While very well priced, the menu was nothing to write home about so recommend just going straight to the regular options. Kind staff but lean staffing so you may also have a bit of a wait.

Sat for 25 mins and was given a menu. Another 20 mins goes by and noone comes to take an order, despite multiple gestures to staff.
