Really great burgers. As with most places in this part of Spain there wasn't an English translation of the menu and the waiters didn't speak any English. So it was a bit of a lottery. What we ordered was great though. One of the best I've had 👍.

Wow, this is not your normal burger place. They serve really innovative burgers that taste excellent. In the Country burger they separate the egg whites and the yolks and then cook separately. You get a runny yolk in the exact center of the burger. Yum. The Piedmont came with blue cheese. They cook the burger patties perfectly. The desserts are also tasty and innovative. The staff were helpful and gave us a table just before opening at 8pm. We looked at the menu through the website to get a translation and that really helped with the ordering. There is nice updates tables and a ground floor bar area. The kitchen is only open during normal Spanish eating hours so you can’t get a burger at anytime even though the bar is open all day.

I found a hair under my hamburger after I cut it in half. I sent it back and they brought out another. No one from the restaurant came out and apologized. I paid the full price for my meal. Wow, this is not an ordinary burger restaurant you are used to. They are serving gourmet burgers with original concepts. They have a special way of doing the eggs for the country burger. They separate the white and the yolk and the add them separately to the burger! We had the country burger and the piedmont (blue cheese and ham). The burger patties were excellently cooked. There are also interesting desserts on offer. We had great seating upstairs with a view.

We sent went for a Group pilgrim dinner. The food was tasty & there was good variety of appetisers & mains including grilled vegetables. The pork sirloin with potato purée was excellent. They have a good selection of Galician wines. Service from Hugo & Celeste was excellent.

Lovely location overlooking the water. Food v good. At around 1020 without any notice or request for us to leave they turned out the lights. Appalling customer service and frankly very bad manners.. we had spent more than 200€ for what was real good food and were finishing our drinks . In 40 years of dining out this has never happened to me before.

Our first day walking the Camino. We went there for refreshments and a little food mid afternoon after a long walk... great food, great service. We were especially impressed with our server, Hugo, who was maximally patient and accommodating with us as we ordered, dealing with a minor commucation gap. If you walk the camino and land in Portamin, this is a great stop to recharge

The food was good, for the price and freshness (right at the fish market) we expected better. The service wasn’t great in general. A bit disappointed but overall alright.

Very stylish location, nice decor, friendly & fast staff. Food is really fresh and the wine is tasty. I had the menu which was very good with a moderate price. The taste was good but for my liking sometimes a bit too much and over the top. A little bit more nuanced favors would be even better. Still I would highly recommend this place for high quality sushi in Lugo. Especially for me visiting as a pilgrim it was great to get something different compared to the default “menu del dis” you get all the time.

Because of the good references, we were looking forward to our dinner at Sibuya, but afterwards it was not satisfying. The woman who served us seemed not to have fun in her job. Later anoyher woman also served us, who seemed to be more enthusiast. We ordered our meals, but did not get exactly what we ordered. We did not get Yakitori, but got double Yakisoba de Pollo. The food was of mixed quality. The sushi was good, the Yakisoba de Pollo was not so good. We got twice that dish, but with a different taste… Maybe it was because we were the first in the restaurant, but for us it was not an experience that makes us wanting to come back again.

Stunning views from its terrace looking to the sea, superb fish and seafood followed by a kind service. Nito has also a good wine list with local and international references including small winemakers. Price is definitely hard due to the quality of the product and the elegance of the venue but also to his fame, built since 1970 as one of the main references of the traditional food in Galicia

Stopped for lunch, and were sat at a table outside as we have a small dog accompanying us. The food was good but nothing outstanding. Perhaps we should have tried some other dishes. But the staff inside the restaurant were very professional and the views from the restaurant terrace are incredible.

This a very expensive restaurant with a low quality food. The only thing positive about this place is the view from the terrasse. The entrees were fair. The pulpo was ok, but does not compare to the other we had Galicia. The main courses were very bad. The rice was not even well cooked, there was crunchy grains. Even if this is a easy meal solution if you are staying at the hotel, take your car and go to the city to get a decent meal. More than 100 euros with a bottle of white wine and meals for 2 people. Very disappointing.

Even the cutlery and stemware are high quality. As for the food, I will not comment on it as I am told it is a very good restaurant, we must have had a bad day.... hopefully next time....

We had super high expectation on this one and it was the main reason for our visit in the area. Sadly, for the money, and given the amazing cuisine of northern Spain in general, we were left a bit cold. It wasn’t bad in any way, just unremarkable and below it’s billing and reviews we had seen.

This is the most luxurious dining experience I have ever had. I brought my parents to Restaurante Campos when they visited Lugo as a treat for my father's birthday. Everything was absolutely perfect, the staff are absolutely wonderful, and the food was fantastic. The food portions are very generous. I was very impressed at how reasonably priced the food is compared with the outstanding quality.

The quality of the ingredients speak for themselves. I would say you get incredible food that is made with a lot of love. And the location is ideal. There is upstairs seating and outside seating. The upstairs seating is a little bit more formal. You get a lot of table service which can be a bit weird but I understand that in a high fine dining restaurant like this you need to have a lot of attention from the waiters. All the food was delicious however the salad came with no dressing but they did bring the dressing on the side. I'm not sure, maybe that's normal. But once we added the dressing it was absolutely incredible. For me the inside seating felt a little bit stuffy but I usually prefer to be in a more relaxed environment and often prefer to dine outside in the summers. I still would come back to this place even though the prices are high but of course you get a lot of value and high quality ingredients.

We had the set menu this lunchtime, with two choices per course. Delicious well-cooked food and excellent, attentive service. We had a good bottle of wine, which was decanted for us and my husband approved of the training being given to a, presumably new, waitress. Nice ambience and obviously popular restaurant. Not cheap, so this will go down as one of our "special" meals this holiday. Would definitely come here again.

I join others who have noted that the bar staff will not help you. I waited for half an hour at the bar and finally a Spanish pilgrim gave me some water from his bottle because I could not order coffee. Very rude. Room looks instutional and it smelled bad, like perfume covering up other smells. It was loud. I was awoken early and slept worse than in a hostel. For the price point, I expected better. The lobby is nice, but not the rooms.

Great hotel near the North part of Sarria an it is in walking distance to shops and other restaurant. But the hotel's own restaurant is very good and the breakfast has plenty of food. The hotel's restaurant is next door and you go down a flight of stairs. The staff here are very fast and helpful. It is my recommend hotel for your walk the Camino de Santiago.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, I was at another nearby hotel and the restaurant was closed on Sunday. So the staff recommended Hotel Roma for dinner. I walked there and entered the foyer and the staff, 2 men, were talking to a group of older women. He was very friendly with them and I waited patiently for them to finish. Just as they did two new people walked in and the men immediately greeted them and ignored me completely. It was like I was invisible. I was shocked and hurt and turners and left. Luckily I found a much better place, La Isla Sarria down by the Malecón.

We had a nice room. Dinner in the restaurant was OK. Breakfast the next morning was awful with stale, cold toast on our table already. A very bad tempered waiter was very unhelpful when we asked for fresh coffee and were told we had to finish the stewed coffee first! Little fruit and no yoghurt. Not a great start for our day’s walking on the Camino Way!

We’ve had two great stays at Hotel Roma as the starting place to our Sarria to Santiago pilgrimages. Hotel Roma offers a clean great night of sleep, and is well located, right next to the train station (if you arrive that way). There’s a Mercadona grocery store a 5 minute walk away for last minute snacks or toiletries. We actually ate dinner there the night we arrived in Sarria. The Hotel Roma has a restaurant for dinner or breakfast (reservations recommended) and a small quick breakfast area. A few minute walk will get you to the start of the Camino. You can get a credential notebook at the little shop down the street (ask at the desk) for 2€ in cash.

We stayed here while on the French way, it was very mixed, good restaurant but the breakfast was appalling and when I asked for some fresh coffee I was told that was it, frankly the coffee was disgusting and the rest of the breakfast was not much better.

Best place to eat in Portomarin. Food was tasty, well seasoned . Garbanzos with callos was super delish and the Bacalao was perfectly cooked. I thought they would give me a glass of wine but they gave me a small pitcher!

We arrived in Portomarín after our first day on the Camino de Santiago and were very tired. We asked at our hotel for a place to have lunch, and they recommended this restaurant. We loved it so much that we went back for dinner! The food was spectacular and the service excellent. We especially loved the lentil soup, and we also tried the octopus, padrón peppers, and several other dishes. Highly recommended!

The octopus was fantastic. The cod was great. The cheesecake was delicious; I leave this restaurant a bigger man because of the experience. It was a crossover between cheesecake and flan—what’s not to like? The service was a bit slow, because it’s only three people running the front of house.

Truly spectacular Galician meal. It's on the main road between Ribadeo and Playa de las Catedrales (about 15 minutes from that beach), this restaurant looks like just a roadside stop from the outside but it's really worth a visit for lunch. My husband and I shared a plate of pulpo (the best octopus I've ever had, and I've had a lot because my husband is from Cantabria), and one Menu del Dia plus - for 19.50 EUR it included delicious seafood croquetas, a great BBQ meat platter (churrasco) and a delicious Tarta de Abuela. Excellent food, nice ambiance and great service from Guillermo. Will come back for sure!

Fantastic, well priced Galician tapas bar. No pretence, clearly a popular locals haunt and with really tasty, well cooked fare. We arrived quite early (for Spain) and worked our way through the menu, hungry from a long day in the road. Each dish seemed to surpass the last as tasty pork was replaced with incredible octopus, mussels, cheeses, and hams, washed down with superb local house wines. Very little English spoken meant a bit of pointing and gesturing, much to the amusement of the friendly staff..... Authentic, delicious, and highly recommended. Loved this place!

Called on the way to see if we needed a reservation and they were able to fit us in! Menos mal, because at 9:30 the place filled up! Pleasant dinner with great service! All the servers were very friendly and professional. We ordered the warm salad with langostinos, zamburiñas and gulas with blueberry dressing, which was delicious. We ordered the pulpo a feira, but we wish we’d ordered the pulpo a la plancha because this dish was not warm- it came out tepid, and since they brought it out with the salad, by the time we got to eating it, it was cold. It was tasty, but note to the kitchen staff that they might want to add a few more minutes to warm it up! For our main dish we ordered the special- solomillo de ternera and it was absolutely delicious! Great quality, tender and cooked just right 👏 Would definitely repeat this dish! Dessert- empanada de manzana and the coulant de chocolate sin gluten- both classic desserts, maybe a dollop of whipped cream would have been nice with the empanada de manzana. Recommended? Yes! We will return. But next time we’ll order the zamburiñas, parrillada de verduras, and maybe some type of guiso with shellfish. For those who are sensitive to gluten/ need gluten free options, this place has plenty, but I cannot certify if it is celiac friendly.

Excellent service and the food was of a really high standard! My boyfriend loved the ensalada templada - I had the grilled vegetables with patatas bravas. Finding veggie options can be tough so this was a real gem! Great value.

Meson do Campo is the quintessential reason for passing Vilalba: central location with cosy ambiance with cool jazz music both in the downstairs bar and the upstairs restaurant in a perfectly relaxed ambiance, absolutely delicious and innovative menus, an astonishing Galician wine cellar and especially a personal and passionate team service, where Sommelier Elisabeth made the difference for us. The curry monkfish lasanha with a GOLIARDO a Telleira Albariño was the absolute height of our night. This is worth a detour!!

One great restaurant in Vilalba. We are on Camino trip and had lunch in this restaurant, gladly they served also a la carte so we don’t have to take 3 courses😃 Food was great, service is amazing and speak english, atmosphere is just perfect, not so noisy so we can talk and eat calmly. Thank you!

As a pilgrim the Town Vilalba is not so interesting. But i found this restaurant. Nice personal and i took meat with a fantastic cheese sauce,vino tinto and creeps with filling of vanilla cream.😁.

The menu del dia was outstanding! Whilst it is on the more expensive side at 24€ per person the quality of the food stood up to the price.

Great inventive food, good Galician wine, friendly service - it does annoy me when restaurants charge for bread you don't ask for, but everything else was impeccable.

Small portions for glasses of wine. The bread felt quite dry but the ox was delicious as well as the tartar. We asked for a salad and got very minimally chopped veggies, but the service was great.

One of the popular gastro-pubs in Lugo. Operates a split level, 2 menu foodie experience. Upstairs a la carte and on the 1st floor a sampler more simple menu, if you sitt downstairs you can pick and chose from both menu's, upstairs "a la carte" only,, we sat downstairs... The decor is modern, in shades of blues and grey's, the seating is very comfy and overall a well thoughout presentation. We sampled 5 different plates, skipping from, baby beef to tuna tartar, by way of a succulent chistorra, pausing for a roast beef sandwich, followed by a salmon maki.... The melody of flavors enchanted, of course the usual comments of a bit more of this, less of that and opinions and ranking of each followed 😋 The service was excellent, the prices MORE than fair, all in a very safe/desinfected environment! Fine dining, super fresh and high quality food, the Bacalao pretty much melted in our mouths.. the souffle was incredible also. Very corteous staff!

Room is tiny but neat. Bathroom is quite small and shower doesn’t even have much room to move around in. Elevator is very small and could only fit 3 people or else it wouldn’t move. Restaurant servers were rude, did not try to help our group, and eventually made us leave just for sitting down for dinner a little early. Ended up getting dinner elsewhere and I’m glad we didn’t have to deal with them. Oh, and watch your head on the way in - the patio cover is very low!

This restaurant is EXCELLENT! Everything about this place was perfect! The service and food exceeded our expectations! The gentleman that checked us out offered a nice liquor desert after our meal and it was delightful. Definitely one of our best experiences in Spain.

Rooms are totally fine, bed was comfy and shower was good. It's basic and fine, it's a pension not a hotel. The stars I've given are for the restaurant, not the room. The restaurant on the other hand, forgot to put our order through til half an hour after we'd sat down. The guy told us he forgot and gave the order to the kitchen but when the food came it wasn't great. Nothing offered in terms of apology, still paid full and waiter was kind of snotty about it. Definitely overpriced for what it was, a tiny salad already covered in far too much oil and really basic spaghetti which appeared to come out of the fridge. I'd definitely give it a miss.

Trust past reviews, restaurant service is horrible and unacceptable. Waiters got mad at us pretty much instantaneously because we dared to ask for a smaller order first, and a second order after that, rather than one big order. First beer was forgotten about and came in 20min later after being reminded 3 times. This was NOT during rush hour. Waiters were annoyed rather than apologetic. Dude, IT’S YOUR JOB. We were not even mad about it, we just wanted our drinks. Less than one hour after sitting down, they asked us to leave as they needed the table. We were not even half way through the last beer we ordered. Once we finished our drinks and dessert, we asked for a coffee, and the response was that we had to go get it outside - while it was raining. We refused. The odd thing is that the place WASN’T EVEN FULL, there were at least three open tables including one of the same size we were sitting at. Completely ruined the mood. I wish we picked a different place. The cherry on top was the morning breakfast the day after, when the POS we used the night before was now out of service, so we had to pay by cash, no receipt of course. The two girls were very cold toward us as well. The really sad thing is that the food and place are actually good, but the hospitality is so bad it ends up making everything else irrelevant. RUN FROM IT.

El precio caro, pero bueno, acorde al sitio, calidad y cantidad. Lugar muy recomendable y luego tomar un café o copa en su terraza exterior con vistas a la ría ya remata la jornada.

What an absolute treat. Nestled in Sarria close to the Monastery, this gem is full of character, charming atmosphere and delicious food. We had a Carnivorous and Vegetarian pizza each. The service was quick and friendly, and the pizza was of a great portion and delicious! Would recommend to any pizza loving Pilgrims in Sarria!

Popped in for lunch during our rest day in Sarria. Wonderful pasta served in pizza dough bowls, nice (Mencía grape) red vino and coffee. Excellent, friendly service. We did not try Pizza although they offer a large range. Thank you.

July 2025 realnauthentic Italina food. I could t chose between the pizza for spaghetti. Settled for spaghetti carbonara, it was THE BEST , see my photo, also the "bowl" it came in was edible 😀 but I was too full after such a splendid meal

Our host suggested this place and it was a great recommendation. The food was amazing, we ordered 3 large pizzas (4 quesos, italiana and carbonara), and they were all a big success for our group of 5 and would have been more than enough for a 6th person. The owner was very friendly and told us about the homemade pizza dough and recommended desserts which were also delicious. He also offered shots when we paid the bill. I would recommend this place to friends and family.

For instance, the "croquetas" didn't taste like they were homemade but we payed like if they were, the sauce of the pork tenderloin tasted like a cheap supermarket ready to serve sauce.
