Their seafood rice with lobster is especially satisfied. Every summer I go there for this. The fish is also super good . The restaurant has a good view of Port . Ps: always reserve in the summer . The food was pretty good and the restaurant was big enough for a good amount of people to be there. The view is incredible too, truly loved the area. The service was not bad but they were very dry and in a rush which is understandable because of the amount of people but I just felt rushed and a bit uncomfortable

The food was disgraceful, lamb cutlets were like rubber boots, one steak (which was asked for medium rare) was barely edible and the second steak was asked for well done “no pink or blood” and came like the photo below. All food was left on the plate and no staff even bothered to ask if everything was okay or what was wrong. Very disappointing. Waste of €70.

Made reservations at the restaurant. They only open at 9pm for dinner. The staff was friendly and there was english menu. The scallops were well cooked and was delicious. The hake fish cheek had a bit of a stale taste and i felt it wasnt really fresh. The restaurant had good views over the channel.

Absolutely amazing. I had the Hake fish in Sider sauce and this has to be the best plate of sea food / fish I’ve had since arriving into Galicia. Service was very good. Professional. Wine was beautiful with plenty of options. Thankyou and hopefully we will book again before returning to Scotland

It was absolutely delicious and expertly prepared dishes. Octopus, lubina and merluza all cooked to perfection. Service was marvelous and professional with wonderful recommendations. It is kid friendly too with a kids menu. We can't wait to be back to try more dishes.

We went to this place with 6. Ordered dinner. The food was good, as was the wine. The waiter was unresponsive, we had to ask several times if we needed something and the place wasn't crowded all. The portions were good. The price is high. The bread that they put on the table costs 1,2 eur per person, this isn't indicated anywhere. If you don't want this tell the waiter to take it away.

The quality of the dishes and the price system are acceptable. The stereotyped impression of some service staff is puzzling and can even be ignored. After all, there are many better restaurants to choose from in town.

A pleasant surprise on the coastal road to La Coruña. The terrace is pleasant, the staff friendly and the food delicious. Special mention for the black rice with chipirones 😋

The Arroz caldoso con Bogabante was fantastic, the best I ever had, full of flavour and Bogabante, and the cheesecake (Spanish style) was amazing. But the service was very poor, maybe because we arrived at the "rush hour". On a sunny warm day the terrace is very pleasant. No doubt that is a place to visit for the food. It is highly recommended to make a reservation. If you want to have any of their special dishes (such as the Arroz caldoso con Bogabante) indicate it at the moment of making the reservation. Very reasonable prices for the quality and quantity of the food.

We had an amazing experience at A Cofradía de Rinlo! The location is stunning, right in the port of Rinlo with beautiful sea views. The seafood was incredibly fresh; I especially loved the "arroz caldoso de marisco" – it was bursting with flavor. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made the meal even more enjoyable. The service was top-notch, attentive without being intrusive. I highly recommend making a reservation to ensure a spot. This place is a true gem for anyone visiting Galicia!

The food was not special . The rice was overcooked and the taste of the sauce was very mild. The waiters didn’t ask if we need appetizers they just put the arroz and they forgot to serve the break. Absolutely amazing! Never had nicer pulpo nor Croquetas de Marisco. Service is really great too, Teresa very nice and friendly, great suggestions!! Can’t wait to come back. It’s something special.

Overpriced small portions. The pork was old over cold french fries. The Squid came with potato chips out of a bag. The wine was good but the two dishes did not justify the price charge.

Our first visit to the area and we noticed the restaurant the day we arrived - walking by, it was very busy with a great “vibe”. We finally stopped in today. Not being from Spain we were a little timid, but we were seated quickly and the service was fast and very accommodating for a family of 5 with little kids. The food was amazing - the best pulpo and calamares we’ve ever had!!! Mil gracias!!

No welcome here for walkers on the Ruta Do Mar. Keep going, there are other places in the town that are friendlier. We were happy to spend some money in Amar de Rinlo instead.

Every year we come back to this restaurant, as it serves excellent food and a great service. Make sure to book the arroz caldoso. Best rice with lobster one can find (personal opinion)

The staffs are very good and kind. The location is not far from As Cathedral (Beach rock Cathedral)

We asked lobster with rice for 1 person which was 20 euros they served us with 2 person bowl and charged us 40 euros. Waitress was very rude.

Always good food. Every year we visit Foz and comes here because food is always good and never disappoint. Service is also good but this time I gave only 3 stars on service because of charging us more than we ordered. Bill should be check by the waiter assigned on the table before giving it to your guests. So just double check your bill before paying especially if its a lot of you.

Unfortunately we didn't eat anything. The waiters probably thought it was too expensive for us (judging from their head-to-toe look at us), they were wrong... They seated us at the only table in the sun (!), despite other vacancies. We had to leave the premises.

We had a great meal at this restaurant. We over ordered but enjoyed the salpicon, green salad and two different hake dishes. The service was friendly and prompt. It was nice to have white tablecloths and a well set table but the vibe was casual rather than formal and the price was fair and reasonable. Full of locals enjoying a Wednesday evening. A Horta is an amazing place to eat. If you enjoy eating steak, have the entrecote. We ended up eating here two days in a row on a road trip because the food is so good. Also, the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. ¡Gracias!

Managed to get a table without a reservation in advance. The staff looked after us very well and the steaks were sensational (and huge!!)

The decor is good and the restaurant looks lovely on the inside. The starter of croquetas was a bit oily but the main of churrasco was tasty, if a bit too salty, with the sweetest grilled pepper I have eaten in a while. The dessert of flan de queso, I am sorry to say, was horrendous. The caramel was burnt and bitter and I could not stand eating it. For me, a restaurant is only as good as its dessert and I sorry to say that A Horta de San Roque disappointed me with a sub par dessert.

Others have already written how fantastic Kalpa Amodoño is, about which we agree, so I won’t repeat but the distinctive flavors shouldn’t be missed if you’re in the area. If you’re not in the area, find a way to get there, vale la pena!

Our first time in a parador and it was lovely. Nice old building, great location on the river close to town. Good service. Comfy beds. Big good quality towels. Good breakfast choice Only lost a star because it does smell a bit damp in places

I stayed here for two nights while walking the Camino del Norté. I booked a room with a balcony and it ended up having an indoor and outdoor balcony, which was a lovely surprise! The hotel is slightly dated, but clean and in a great location. Breakfast was ok. They didn't cook eggs to order, which they do in every Parador I have stayed in, so this was surprising to me. Great location and the wait staff and housekeeping were very friendly.

We stayed in Parador Ribadeo. A nice hotel but be careful. If you book a standard room, you will get a room with hidden view in the basement courtyard. We booked with booking but were only aware once paid and confirmation was received. Also, we had sandwiches for lunch there and they were awful, the worst in north Spain. Steak in a bagiette was very tough and my roast pork with goats cheese had 2 slices of somę ham meat and one of goats cheese in between 3 toasts, no salade or tomotoe for 13 euro. I expect more from Parador. The chef should get some training how to make sandwiches. See pictures below and learn, these were the toasts we had in a cafe in Finister.

What a special place! There is something surreal and very special about the location; the Parador and the gorgeous views. The food at the restaurant was also fabulous! Well located, just outside town but walking distance. Wish we had stayed longer!

Nice location edge of town with numerous charming bars off the main square where you may eat at incredibly reasonable prices. Room fine, but shower over bath not ideal. Parking is opposite the hotel. Breakfast excellent, offered eggs if we would like them.

Rather bad value for money. Not really recommended. P.S.: Reply to the owner: we ordered Fabada Asturias twice and got basically a big bowl of beans for 30 Euros as pictured. You had to use a microscope to find the sausages and meat. Cost for the ingredients was probably 1-2 Euros. Other reviews sound similar, go check your business model. Reduced rating to one star.

Truly spectacular Galician meal. It's on the main road between Ribadeo and Playa de las Catedrales (about 15 minutes from that beach), this restaurant looks like just a roadside stop from the outside but it's really worth a visit for lunch. My husband and I shared a plate of pulpo (the best octopus I've ever had, and I've had a lot because my husband is from Cantabria), and one Menu del Dia plus - for 19.50 EUR it included delicious seafood croquetas, a great BBQ meat platter (churrasco) and a delicious Tarta de Abuela. Excellent food, nice ambiance and great service from Guillermo. Will come back for sure!

First time there, notice alot of locals so I assume is very popular. Maybe the pizzas are good but I ate a "Tony's burguer" but it was a bit raw. When I showed the waiter, I explained I ate almost everything and didn't notice until then, to which she sad "the point of the meat is medium to medium rare", which I replied "you're right but this is raw", as I showed her the burger. No apology, nor did she ask me if I wanted. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the burger but it was the lack of proper service (that is why I gave a 2 star). Other than that, I assume the place is popular for a reason. But I didn't found one...

It's my third time here and I did like the place because it has a little more variety than other Galician places. Unfortunately the non meat dishes haven't been available "today". The other time they put meat on my vegetarian sandwich after asking the waitress for non meat dishes. The 3rd tine we order the potatatas but they fried them together with meat or something because they tasted like bacon. Also after telling them we dont like meat. I understand that it is still not a common thing to not eat meat in this area and I am nothing but patient but sometimes too much is too much.. All in all for someone who eats everything this might be great place. Oh wifi doesn't work..

Nice place to eat. We didn't go for the pizzas but had a some potato dishes instead. All food was very good. A vege burger, some big fries and a salsa thin cut tatties with variety of sauces. Our experience with a family of 5 was amazing! The service was kind, fast and detail oriented. We were, after seating, able to order our drinks immediately. As they came, we ordered our food and the quality as will the size of the nachos or pizza feed us all.

Went here for early dinner on a Sunday and luckily got a table strait away, which seems quite of a challenge if you arrive at regular hours (I’d say from 9PM). The food was decent. The pizza felt quite heavy maybe due to the amount of cheese. Also flavour wise I didn’t find them amazing. It is tricky trying to reinvent the pizza and just topping up with “local ingredients” doesn’t work. The service was fast and the restaurant quite busy and noisy to the point was difficult to have a conversation. I think 3 🌟 is a good review considering there’s nothing outstanding here.

Very very good, we ate outside on the small terrace but there are some tables upstairs too. Fine service, when you are with two, a starter is not necessary if you order rice with lobster (60 euro) wich is plenty for three persons. We paid 20 for the clams as a starter. My wife and I used to love this place. Very good food. The staff were not nice at all the first two times we came, but we enjoyed the food a lot and we thought it was unique (we were wrong) so we compromised a little bit. Anyway, we wanted to come back to celebrate my mother in law’s birthday. We called multiple times over 5 days in a row, all during working hours. They did not answer the phone once. We skipped Mirandilla and went to another restaurant instead for her birthday. Another weekend came and we were in the area, so we decided to pass by Mirandilla and have lunch there. We walked in (we were very happy and excited) and asked for a table, they said “you need to call in advance if you want a table here”. We told them that we’ve been trying to call for a long time (over 15 days now). They said “well, we’re not able to answer the phone because we have too many calls coming in” and it was said to us in such a rude way, dismissing us. They didn’t even offer us a chance to have a drink or a tapa, when they clearly had some space to host us for at least a drink. I will never ever go back there, luckily, we found a restaurant nearby with a similar menu, better vibes, better prices, and staff that is 1000x nicer and more hospitable.

It's an amazing place. You get a magnificent sea view by the small inlet, AMAZING seafood (the lobster rice is out of this world and easily fit for 3) and great, attentive service. Just good, fresh food.

We've thoroughly enjoyed the experience of eating here. It was a sunny day, which is rare around here, from what I've read. We took the table with the best view in the front balcony. The combination of an albariño (from Rias Baixas, on the west coast of Galiza) with Zamburiñas a la plancha was one of the best gastronomical experiences I ever had. I'll surely come back for this. The Fabas com Almejas was very good as well, only the mejillones en escabeche we're not so good, and are the source of the 4 stars. Otherwise everything was above average, including the service.

Well, I am confused and sad to give a low rating for the food. Let me explain a bit. We went there with high expectations as it should be one of the best pulperias nearby. But, the pulpo was not good at all. I will be crucified for this, but I had much better pulpo in Costa Brava :P. Jamon Cocido was a disaster, too hard to bite. The chorizo and queso were of medium-low quality, and I think if they reduce the portion size, they can use a higher quality of cheese, and it will be just better. On the other hand, and this was a saver of the dinner, was Navajas. OMG, one of the best I've had. True and deliciously true. I hope the rest of the medium-low quality food we had was just a mistake, and I encourage others to give them a chance! For tonight, I am sorry, but overall it was not good (except Navajas). Pretty nice food, but this place is the best for the admosphere with many locals on a nice terrace. It's good to order some bell peppers next to your dishes to share. The seafood is more expensive obviously and might not always come with a side dish

The prices are fair for the fare. Good ‘Mariscos’ in a small menu. If you do not like Galician food stay away as there is little of anything else. But if you like to try the local, it is good.

We made the mistake of not checking the Google reviews of this restaurant and we were met with terrible service by a horrible waiter and even worse food. The fish they brought was visibly old with a smell I cannot even describe. It tasted like it had been left in the bottom of the cooler for weeks. We were 4 people and none of us could eat our food. We couldn’t even eat the bread. Even though we left all our plates untouched, they wanted us pay the whole amount. When we went to pay the price of the menu had magically increased from what the waiter had announced at the beginning of the meal, a real scam. Definitely pay attention to the bad reviews of this place and AVOID yourself a terrible experience.

My mom and I called a bit late in the night to reserve and to ask if it was okay to get there at 11:10pm even though they close at 11:00pm. They let us know it was okay waited for us and had our room ready as soon as we got there. All the staff were extremely nice and welcoming and the coffee & breakfast was extremely delicious. The hotel is a 5 minute drive from Playa de las Catedrales and very easy to find. The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean and tidy, and the beds were extremely comfortable. My mom and i will for sure be coming back to this hotel and recommending it to everyone. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

I like the waitress, she spoke english and was helpful. Schrimps with garlic were unfortunately totally unsalted and not spicy at all. The atmosphere with a TV on did not help also.

What a pleasant surprise. Walked in with a group of 8 and we were served the most delicious drinks and foods. We ordered almost all of the menu. The Cecina plate was perfect, the anchovies on toast amazing but the beef and mushroom risotto was out of this world. They are very hard working couple that do a very good job at serving with a smile. I will definitely recommend and hope to be back soon.

We loved this restaurant so much we went both nights during our stay in Ribadeo. The courses were large enough to share between two - and delicious. I especially liked the anchovies with cheese and the calamari starters, the Argentine beef main (with perfect chips!) and a really wonderful cheese cake. Great service from all the staff (who were very patient with my lack of Spanish!)

But that was a mistake - the octopus (€18.50) and the scallops (€18.00) were really over-seasoned and were actually quite unpleasant to eat as a result. We ordered the chicken dish which turned out to be dry popcorn chicken without any dip/condiment and tasted like it was cooked from frozen - ridiculous this cost 9 euros. The salad had poor ingredients and plastic pots of oil as the dressing and was 5 euros. Ultimately, the food was really disappointing and we have left feeling confused about the good reviews and wishing we had tried elsewhere for our meal. I would recommend this place for a beer and they do have some outdoor seating.

We stayed in Parador Ribadeo. A nice hotel but be careful. If you book a standard room, you will get a room with hidden view in the basement courtyard. We booked with booking but were only aware once paid and confirmation was received. Also, we had sandwiches for lunch there and they were awful, the worst in north Spain. Steak in a bagiette was very tough and my roast pork with goats cheese had 2 slices of somę ham meat and one of goats cheese in between 3 toasts, no salade or tomotoe for 13 euro. I expect more from Parador. The chef should get some training how to make sandwiches. See pictures below and learn, these were the toasts we had in a cafe in Finister.

I stayed here for two nights while walking the Camino del Norté. I booked a room with a balcony and it ended up having an indoor and outdoor balcony, which was a lovely surprise!
