Wanted to try this place so much that I was a quite disappointed with the experience. Service is very poor. Food is only acceptable, prices are high for Georgian standards and at least the venue, the atmosphere and the live music can help you a bit to have an overal decent experience. Staff were ignoring us for such a long time that we couldn’t order a desert, we didn’t ask the extra bottle of wine we were willing to have just because they were not coming to check on us. We went proactively to ask for the bill at the bar in order to leave (1h after finishing our meals)

Phenomenal Food, Inexcusable Service The food here is amazing even if the portion sizes were miserable for the prices. The 2 stars are purely for the food and the decor. However, the rest of the visit was a chaotic mess. Despite having a reservation after being said no the previous night and the room being mostly empty, we were inexplicably crammed into a bad table near the center practically touching our neighbors. Service was borderline nonexistent. Our waitress actively avoided our section, leaving us high and dry for long stretches. This was so bad that we decided not to order more wine or dessert just to avoid any further interaction with the staff. The live music was good, but the flow was constantly destroyed by 15-20 minute breaks after every two or three songs. In short: only go for the food... that is the chicken with pomegranate and the chicken broth... And the aesthetics. The imrerian kachapuri was so so. Be prepared for confusing seating, horrible service, and an awkward concert interlude.

Genuinely the best chicken I have ever eaten full stop, I could have had a double portion - had the pomegranate chicken with a side and a salad and it was tender, slightly caramelised, flavourful. The interior and music in the restaurant was beautiful too, and staff so friendly. And for this amazing dining experience, I couldn’t believe how reasonable the prices were. I’ll be thinking about this restaurant for a long, long time

Incredible place with a positive vibe! There’s nothing in the world like this restaurant. Art, design, food, people, music - all with Georgian soul. Three sisters created a unique space to visit, chill it with friends or family. Always happy and grateful for being there!

Even if it’s just for a drink, this place is worth visiting for the atmosphere alone. We were lucky to get a table without a reservation as it was packed. The magic came when two exceptional musicians, a violinist and a pianist, filled the room with their gifted performances. We tried the local veggie stew, chicken soup, and chicken with nuts. The veggie stew was the standout; the rest didn’t quite hit the mark. Service felt minimal, with little effort to create a welcoming experience.

Central location and good food I was alone and servers were not interested with me unfortunately I was waiting for the menu 10+ min, then to order 15+ Then was served food , but was not served tea yet There was live music at the restaurant , but I was seated in another room for people who are alone obviously 🙄 So basically experience is not that satisfying and it could have been better As for food, no questions But I ordered basic Georgian dish and in Georgia gangs unquestionable that it’s gonna be tasty

Visited this place because of recommendations and this was total disappointment. We were a company of 4 people from Kyiv, decided to celebrate a birthday of one of us there. When we came we asked IN ENGLISH which language is preferable, English or, OH MY GOD, Russian. As I understand they have some strong feelings about people which may know Russian, from wherever they came from. The most fun thing was that one of the waiters came to a smoking zone and started to talk by phone on Russian language. But for guests they don’t know it and make a “rolling eyes” face expression even if you just asked about such option. After this question staff started to behave really rude. They showed us our table and didn’t even brought menu. We had to show signs to waiters for 20 minutes or so just to get menu, and they pretended they didn’t see us at all. Whenever we wanted to order something, or to add something to the order, we had to perform this monkey show, and they came to every table but ours. Don’t recommend for Slavic tourists. Food was also not tasty. Salads without any flavoring/ dressing, pork ribs turned out to be loin on the bone, very dry and not tasty.

Super cozy restaurant with a really charming interior—especially the front area, which is beautifully decorated. Later in the evening, they also have live music, which adds a great vibe, though it can be a bit loud if you’re sitting close to the performers. The food is tasty—we had the meatballs, which were good, but nothing particularly new or special. If you’re in the mood to try something different, I’d recommend going for a more traditional Georgian dish. Service was okay.

Really nice and tasty food on a cozy space. Prices are a bit above average but the at least everything was delicious. Fried chicken with walnut sauce was crispy, crunchy and creamy. Apple cake was served cold and had an amazing flavour! There was no live music when we went. Service could be improved, I had to flag the waiters a few times as they are standing on the corner . Amber wine a bit expensive for a glass (19 lari)

Service was prompt and efficient. Atmosphere was quiet. Went during off peak hour for an early dinner. Food too salty for liking, maybe we are not used to georgian cuisine.

Great service, natural and welcoming. Nice atmosphere, with piano music and lively chat. Fodd was great, huge choice od Georgian dishes, authentic and well prepared. We have different dishes and I had it couple more times in different restaurants so I can tell it was great. Good food and nice atmosphere, the best combination.

This restaurant seems to be quite popular in the Kutaisi Saturday dining scene. And maybe to reason - with cozy ambience and hipster touch. My experience was however suboptimal. After making a reservation, I got seated at 9:30pm, ordered. And waited. And waited. And waited. I asked and finally got my food around 10:30pm, exactly 1 hr after ordering. Was the food good? It was ok. Was it worth the hour long wait? Probably not. And, of course, the grand finale. It was around 11, I asked for the dessert menu (after eating my roughly 1hr late chicken). And of course, the kitchen is closed. No dessert for you. The waiter was at least nice enough to apologize.

Super great place to eat in Kutaisi. Mate made us feel at home from the beginning, not only for his friendliness but also for the fact that he could speak our language like a native and 7 more as well (impressive). The live music was just wonderful and the food and wine spectacular. Highly recommend for anyone visiting or living in Kutaisi!

We stopped in for a late lunch and it was great! Lots of good Georgian food choices and the prices are very reasonable. All of the food was great, especially the beans - probably the best I've had in Georgia. I have read reviews of the staff being unfriendly, but this wasn't our experience. This place gets very busy and we saw some customers being unreasonable, so take those previous comments with a pinch of salt.

To be honest, I can't rate their kitchen because they never bought us what we ordered. Just waited 40 minutes for our order, and they didn't give us anything except water and lobiani. You definitely should improve your service otherwise it's NOT recommended at all.

The best khinkali I’ve ever had, hands down! With its thin, silky “town-style” dough, each bite bursts with an incredible amount of juicy soup. The filling is more refined than “mountain-style” khinkali, with spices and herbs adding a sophisticated, grown-up flavor. My top recommendation is the mushroom khinkali. The moment you bite in, the aroma of mushrooms gently blooms, and the broth floods your mouth with rich, savory goodness. It’s so satisfying that just 6 to 7 pieces will fill you right up.

Very bad service! We ordered 15 khinkali, pork barbecue, beer and lemonade. They brought the barbecue, reminded the waiter about the beer, he brought one. Then they brought 5 khinkali, 5 more khinkali. And that was it. We wanted to order more khinkali, but we weren't full. In the end we were left without them, but they didn't forget to include anything in the bill and instead of a normal check, they wrote it by hand in Georgian (the translator didn't translate what they counted, but the price was much higher than planned). We left hungry, we won't come back.

Local bar/pub/restaurant. They serve traditional food, the menu is not very extensive, but enough taking into account they serve food really late at night - it is a good option when you want to eat and any other places are closed.

I think the correct description would be Bar and not restaurant, because it mainly serves starters. Anyway the food was really good, we had beans (it was really tasty), salad and the famous kinkhali. At first we thought the kinkhali was thick but it was simply perfect. Juicy, tasty and fresh😍 totally recommend!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. Beautiful ambience, but unfortunately the worst dining experience I’ve had in Georgia. Overpriced, slow service, unpleasant flavors — I cannot recommend this place. Aside from the pleasant ambience, there was little to enjoy about this restaurant. Sadly, this turned out to be the most disappointing dining experience I’ve had in Georgia so far, and I honestly find it difficult to understand the high ratings. The pork had a strong, unpleasant odor similar to offal, and despite ordering only three dishes, it took almost one hour and forty-five minutes for them to arrive. The bread portion was also unexpectedly small. On top of that, the 12% service charge felt unjustified. The restaurant would likely benefit from employing more chefs rather than so many waiters. To be fair, the manager—recognizable by a different uniform—was attentive and professional, but overall the service fell short of expectations. Overall, this was an unfortunate experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant.

Everything about this place is amazing, from the interior design, to the delicious food, the live music, and the wonderful atmosphere. Giorgi provided impeccable service – he explained everything we asked about and even advised us on our meal choices, which was spot on! It's rare to meet people with such enthusiasm and passion for what they do – it's largely thanks to Giorgi that we'll remember this place for a long time! I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Gala has been our best dining experience so far during our week’s stay in Georgia. The atmosphere was light and airy and, situated directly across from Kutaisi park, offered a beautiful serene view of the tree tops from the floor to ceiling windows. Our waiter George was so friendly, helpful and attentive and we found every one of the dishes beautifully balanced and just divine! It’s a pity our tour moved on from Kutaisi- if not, we’d definitely be dining there again!

Gala is a beautiful restaurant named after a famous local poet. If you score a window table it overlooks the new lovely park in the square. The food is great, you will need more than one night here to enjoy all of the great dishes. The standout attraction by far is the young waiter Giorgi (George) who is dazzling the visitors with his buoyant personality, knowledge of the dishes, and impeccable English. I could hear many other patrons other than myself being delighted by his conversation and his professionalism. I expect he will do very well for himself in the future. He may ask you to guess his age, I guessed right but my companion was quite wrong. The other waiters who served the food and attended to us were also friendly and professional. This is a great restaurant and I hope I can still get a table after encouraging you all to go there. (I am a tourist here)

Kutaisi Kebab – a hidden gem that’s quietly catching on among round-the-world travelers! Simply put, it was absolutely amazing. Kebab, bread, and beer (or lemonade) – all for just 12 GEL! A juicy, meaty kebab paired with a sauce of perfectly ripe, flavorful tomatoes and a kick of spices – no wonder the beer keeps flowing! Thanks to the fresh herbs, there’s very little of that strong “herbiness,” making it surprisingly easy to enjoy even for those who usually avoid cilantro or parsley. And the standing-bar style adds to the charm – locals and travelers alike gathering on street corners, eating and drinking together in a casual, lively atmosphere. The staff even greeted me in Japanese and were incredibly kind. Michelin Bib Gourmand scouts, take note – this is the place!

Bikentia’s Kebabery is a Kutaisi classic — simple, local, and full of flavour. The kebab comes in a rich tomato sauce with fresh bread on the side. Incredible value for money and lightning-fast service. A must-try for anyone visiting Kutaisi.

I think it’s an institution! With lots of history and serving only one dish, kebab. But it’s delicious and super affordable. The lemonade for me is a little too sweet though.

Pure, Unadulterated Kebab Heaven. A must visit in Kutiasi. ​ ​This isn't a restaurant; it's a glorious, chaotic institution. Forget fancy menus, it’s all about a legendary three-item trinity: the spectacular, juicy kebab in its rich tomato sauce, fresh bread, and your choice of cold beer or local lemonade. All for freaking 12 Gel. ​The atmosphere is pure, electric madness. The portion is perfect and satisfying without being overwhelming. No-frills, no seating, just the best kebab and a perfect drink. An essential, delicious dose of pure Kutaisi craziness and must visit when in Kutaisi.

TOURISTS - AVOID! I got one of the most severe food poisonings after eating here. I don’t tend to leave bad reviews ever, but since this place is very highly rated I need to make others aware that this can happen here too. It’s good value for money, but that comes at a cost of the possibility of being really ill.

Fantastic restaurant with a really special vibe! We had the opportunity to eat there with my girlfriend and we both loved the food served there. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The only minor downside was that the service was a bit slow, but the exceptional quality of the food and the great atmosphere more than made up for it. Totally recommend! 5/5

The vibe of the place itself is really cool, with the added charm of enjoying a delightful meal right by the river. Most importantly, the grills were absolutely delicious — full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I truly savored every single bite.

A good place to enjoy traditional Georgian cuisine. HUGE servings that can easily be split for two, fast service, great views on the river from the terrace. My only complaint would be very loud music on the said terrace. Once you're eating by the open window overviewing the fast mountain river you'd rather listen to the water than something blasting from the speakers.

We had lunch for 2 people and the bill was € 23 . The chicken schaschlik was very delicious. And the potatoes. The red beet , mushroom soup, and lemonade were also good. Great food and great prices. Our waiter spoke good English and was kind.

We normally don't go to modern looking restaurants when we travel because we prefer to experience traditional food,but we decided to try on our last day, and it was absolutely delicious! The food felt authentic and innovative at the same time, everything was served in really nice portions and plated beautifully, and the recommendations from the servers were top! Ive been to this place twice in less than a week. That’s how good it is. The food, the service, the atmosphere .. everything was a ten. We had heard great things about it, but it honestly went beyond what we expected. The staff are really respectful, friendly, and just easy to talk to. The vibe is spot on. It’s not too quiet, not too loud, just a comfortable space to enjoy your meal. The manager is super kind and clearly takes care of the place. Everything runs smoothly. And the food was great, but the desserts were on another level. I actually ordered every dessert on the menu. I’ve never done that before, but I couldn’t help it. They were that good.

Came for lunch , very nice location ! Friendly waiter , who wanted to help , but I know he can’t do anything that restaurant doesn’t have neither lemonade nor kombucha , listed on the menu. Also out of a small menu list they didn’t have hinkali. Idk, maybe were out of dough or meat We ordered Georgian salad- perfect Meat - very juicy and nicely done Aubergine - VERY GOOD Cake - disappointment , burned on the bottom side. Waiter can’t give proper recommendations on the wine and I’m as a foreigner don’t know the options listed , they have good wine card , but someone has to be there to explain the wines Waiter tried his best and let me try the options , thanks to him:) Generally I would come back , yes. Good place! But there’s still space for improvement :) But place is beautiful and food looks tempting

Great restaurant however some changes can be made to the breakfast. My friend and I went to grab dinner yesterday which was phenomenal. It was by far the best restaurant that we have tried in Kutaisi, especially the kebab. However we decided to go there for breakfast as well and we ordered two portions of the Georgian breakfast. Two portions weren’t enough for two even though our waiter mentioned that one portion would suffice. We ended up ordering three more dishes. Hope some adjustments to the portion size of their Georgian breakfast could be made.

100/10 fair assessment of this place. Very atmospheric, cozy. Service is excellent! The waiter Luka is very nice and professional, he advised us the best food and the best wine. We ordered pork, kebab, salad, eggplant, khachapuri and suluguni cheese and I can't even choose what was more delicious, because all the food was divinely delicious. The total bill with a bottle of wine was about 80€, which in my opinion is even cheap. I definitely recommend this place to everyone who will be in Kutaisi!

As with other reviews, this place is top notch - wonderful family home hidden away off the street with incredible food and hospitality. 50 lari each for their set menu including wine and a bit of chacha (for appetite!), we left stuffed and full of admiration for the flavours of mamas cooking! Such a wonderful experience! Personal favourite of mine was the chicken with walnut sauce - not what I'd go for normally but it was so good!! We didn't book for lunch and arrived at 3pm on a Wednesday and we had the place to ourselves, but given the size I recommend booking during peak season.

This place is a must-visit if you’re in Kutaisi! It’s an authentic spot with a very interesting concept — you come in and are served a fixed set of dishes and drinks. Our set included delicious homemade lemonade, white wine, water, a fresh vegetable salad, a beetroot salad, a mix of eggplant appetizers with walnut paste, homemade cheese and cheese spread, and traditional Georgian bread. For the main course, we had Mingrelian khachapuri, homemade sausages, and chicken in walnut sauce. Everything was incredibly tasty, and the portions were very generous! The price was 50 GEL per adult and 25 GEL per child.

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Tomas Wine Cellar in Kutaisi. It was our best dining experience from the whole trip in Georgia. The food was delicious – fresh, flavorful, and made with care from family! The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of both the food and drinks - and the whole experience. The restaurant has a cosy, welcoming vibe. It’s run by an amazing family who treated us with genuine warmth and hospitality. The service was attentive and friendly. It’s more than just a place to eat – it’s a place to experience true Georgian hospitality. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kutaisi !! What an amazing experience!!

Wow! What an experience. I really wasn’t expecting such a warm welcome, authentic ambiance and delicious food. Also I’m gluten free and they were able to cater the menu to me. But the genuinely friendly service was the highlight. Highly recommended!

They have a tasting menu which was adapted for a vegetarian (me), my husband and kids had the regular fare. Food was spectacular, wine lemonade and chacha great. And the hospitality was top notch. They open at 3. Best to call and go. A highly recommended experience. Things you should know: They don't have the standard menu from where you pick and choose. It's a fixed set testing menu, which is cooked by mama. Let them know your dietary restrictions and they will try their best to accommodate it. Portion sizes are very healthy... And if you have leftovers they're more than happy to pack it for you. The wine is homemade (I loved it) and they don't sell it Parking is available on the street, outside their home

The best restaurant in town. Delicious Georgian food, authentic and super fresh. Good variety of vegetarian and other food. Very friendly service, attentive to detail and making sure the experience in the restaurant is a perfect one! No wonder did the receiver the prestigious „Table Originale“ award from Gault Millau in 21 and 22! So if you are in town and look for exceptionally good Georgian food this is the place to go.

we went there three times as we loved interior/ atmosphere and the food was amazing. waitresses are also nice, nia is exceptional. unfortunately we have pictures just from our second/ third visit but everything was very delicious. also good choice of wines.

Firstly, we had to wait 50 minutes for our dishes, and the waitress never warned us that it would take so long. Secondly, to find her I had to look all around the restaurant and even go down to the kitchen to ask her to come to the table, even though there were only two other guests besides us. The food itself was tasty, but the soup was served in a large bowl with less than half of it filled. As a result, I didn’t feel full and had to go to another place to eat. I truly hope the restaurant will improve its service and pay more attention to portion sizes.

Delicious food with some really interesting items on the menu — a great mix of Georgian classics and a few creative twists, like salmon khinkali. We ordered khachapuri, ojakhuri, and the eggplant rolls — everything was fresh and full of flavor. The service was excellent, and a special thank you to our waitress Nia for being so attentive and friendly. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We came here for a small lunch, and were very happy with the service. Our servers name was Mari. The food came in good time and was delicious. They did charge an 18% service fee, which feels somewhat excessive, but that's the only negative.

Cozy atmosphere, yet approaching the border of a "fine dining" experience. Classical music, fine cutlery and well presented, taste-refined dishes. We took two veal dishes (astaragon and pomegranate, both delicious and with a very tender meat) as well as a khachapuri. Everything tasted great, and our waitress for the evenening Nia added her touch to the experience, helping to choose the wine and making sure we didn't lack anything through the dinner. Definitely recommend the place, matter of fact we'll probably be going back tonight and add some pictures to the review! See you soon and thanks again for the nice dinner. (Additionnal good point is that altough slightly more expensive than other restaurants around, prices are very decent for such service and quality) Edit: here pictures from yesterday indeed, Kali (pomegranate sauced veal and cheesy purée, and surprise of the day was the garlic sauce from the chicken, absolument perfect. This is a very nice restaurant in a quite central location in Kutaisi. They have a wide selection of local but also international food. Everything we ordered was delicious and nicely presented. We came for dinner when they had some lights on and also live music. The waiters are very friendly and attentive. The only thing is its a bit expensive, but its definitely worth it

Papavero is the first restaurant we came to have lunch to when we visited Kutaisi in 2019. It's been open for a some time and got only better. Central location, Europan fusion cuisine, green decor, kids menu and in my opinion best salads and coffee in Kutaisi. Restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. Stuff are young students who speak good English. Open 7 days a week. I personally love this place for lunch. Highly recommend.

This may b great for under 30 yr olds but not for elder tourists who eat at 5 pm. English very basic from staff including Paola but menus all have English descriptions. Offered me half order of full traditional chicken dish but only legs wings came NO breast meat. Very skinny chicken at that. KFC would have been better. The garlic was massive amount and raw !! I could hardly find the bell peppers in the potatoe dish. Wine good but I’m not a connoisseur. For $31 Canadian a very bad meal. After my food was delivered not once did anyone come to ask how food was or if I needed anything. I was only one downstairs but did notice a person up in balcony which they attended too +++.

A stylish restaurant with excellent food, a wide selection, and good prices. For the price, you really get large portions. What I must highlight is our waitress Mariam, who was kind, pleasant, and took great care to make sure we had everything we needed and felt comfortable.

We wanted a nice place for our last night in Georgia and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The place looks tasteful and elegant. There was live music, quiteloud but pleasant. Problems started however when ordering the wine: out of a wine list of a total of 8 reds they only had half actually available, only the semi-sweet or the most expensive bottle. We ordered by the glass instead and despite one glass costing a third of the bottle the serving was minuscule, the amount is usually poured when you ask to taste it. We ordered the food and the sides arrived 20 minutes before the mains. We had ordered barbeque veal and a pork steak. After 40 minutes only the veal arrives, the waiter telling us "We don't have the steak, do you want something else?". By then all orders had been served and the replacement arrived when everyone else's food was stone cold. Considering it was the most expensive meal we had in Georgia we were quite disappointed.

Got to spent almost 3 weeks in Georgia, traveling the whole country and this was definitely one of our favourite restaurants, top 3 for sure. By far the best ojakhuri and some of the best khachapuri I’ve had. The staff was very attentive and helpful, prices are very reasonable.

Came here for dinner with a friend on our first night in Kutaisi. Bilingual Georgian/English menu, comes in form of newspaper. Decent food but nothing outstanding. A little overpriced. Servers speak little English, byt when asked to cook my river trout from medium to well-done, they were very polite and courteous about it. Service was very slow overall. Took 30 mins for the to come, and another 30 for the dessert.

Have to agree with previous reviewers, the air freshener inside is overpowering. The bearded manager should really be dealing with problems personally (like serving white wine at room temperature and thinking it is acceptable) instead of relaying messages on Google Translate via his young waiter when he is sat 5 metres away. Decor wise, stunning. Very homely and chill. The homemade wine was lovely and would recommend. Can imagine it would be really cosy on a colder day. Thanks to the young waiter, who was was smiley and professional.

HORRIBLE! Would NOT recommend to go there.. First we waited for 30 minutes for our Cappuccino, which was a watery milk with pieces in it.. worst coffee ever. We ordered 3 dishes. A wrong dish came after like 45 minutes. We said again the three dishes we wanted. Then suddenly they said: ah no, they dont have it.. So we waited another 10 minutes and then they only 1 dish came. We waited and waited and questioned our life choices.. the waiter only had 4 guests to serve and he didnt seem to understand… it took more than one hour to get our food. We could not eat the signature dish. It was disgusting. The avocado toasts which were supposed to come with bacon came without. Ham crep came with bacon. Horrible.

A picturesque spot above the city, just a short walk from Bagrati. We had eggplant rolls which were perfectly seasoned, the lemonade was also good. The only thing I would fault a bit was the slow, almost ethereal service, but the lady was otherwise very nice. Recommended!

This is a family restaurant where we ordered vegetable rice and Georgian salad. The dishes were excellent, we could tell it was made in house with fresh ingredients. Expect some time for the food to come. The Turkish coffee is decent. Their tiny garden with turtles and a bird is enough for the kids to spend a quiet time waiting for the food. The toilets are Turkish-style unfortunately. The waiters are very young and although they are polite and nice, they lack experience.

That was our first day in Kutaisi, and we were starving! We found this restaurant by chance and ended up having such a wonderful time there. It was our first real experience with proper Georgian cuisine — the egg with walnuts quickly became our favorite dish. We also had an incredibly delicious Khachapuri. Akaki, was so sweet and kept recommending unique local dishes for us to try. The wine we had there was amazing — we loved it so much that we bought the same bottle to take back home to Turkey. Even on our last night in Kutaisi, we decided to come back and have our final dinner at this restaurant.

My boyfriend and I ordered a salmon sandwich and a burger here. The sandwich is 2/5 — not much fish, very little cream cheese, and just a bit of avocado. The combination itself felt unusual: salmon, avocado, OLIVES, and arugula… I’ve honestly never seen that before. The arugula was more or less okay, but the olives really didn’t match. To be honest, it was quite dry and I could barely finish it. As for the burger: I’d say 3/5 overall, but my boyfriend didn’t like the bun. The fries seemed like they had been cooked earlier and just reheated.

Ok place for breakfast. The portion size was quite mediocre. e.g. egg Benedict won't be enough to last long, so consider taking something else on top of it. They also could've put more salmon in it :) Coffee was good though. Nice atmosphere.

I tried both the salmon and tuna sandwiches at Caffe Tuta and honestly, I really enjoyed them. I love fish dishes in general, so these were right up my alley — fresh, flavorful, and not too heavy. The salmon especially had a nice balance with the bread and toppings. If I had to mention something less positive, the tuna one felt just a bit too salty for me, and I think the bread could have been slightly softer. Still, overall both sandwiches were very good and definitely worth trying if you’re into fish dishes like me.

I went to Caffe Tuta for breakfast around 8 AM and it was amazing. The free items they served were incredible, the Eggs Benedict was unbelievably good. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly made. Their coffee was also excellent, smooth and strong, a perfect match for the breakfast. Such a great way to start the day!

This summer I visitid kutaisi with my daughter and best friend. We decided to have dinner in restaurat named Story. Location is preciouse very center of the town with beautiful view of river Rioni. We were sitting outside area and watching huge white stones from the river and amazing church. Food is unbelievable. Old and modern mix. Speechless. My big recomendation to everybody to visit this amazing place.

I had dinner here at with my partner at around 7 PM and immediately after we sat down, the tables were wiped again to make sure they were clean. The waitress kindly asked if we would like any recommendations to which we said yes. She recommended the notorious big burger, jam session burger, and diablo pizza along with other recommendations but we went with those three and all three were amazing and super fresh! Pizza had a really nice crust and just the right amount of cheese. Burgers were very delicious! Bread was fresh and was nicely toasted, sauce was great for both burgers, and the meat was also very tasty and well seasoned. Food arrived on time and service was great overall. Prices were also very fair considering the good quality of the ingredients Definitely satisfies a good burger craving. 100% would recommend.

I absolutely loved my Saturday evening here. I came for the wine and ended up staying for the live music. My meal was delicious-I had the cornbread wrapped in sulguni & the chicken with some lovely fresh green herb sauce. I couldn’t tell you what they’re called in Georgian, but I’m sure your server could. “Michael,” my server was wonderful, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. He had great wine recommendations and provided excellent service in English. The wine was perfectly dry and yet fruity. When I arrived he even brought in an extra table from the other room as all the other tables were taken. Then, the live music started. I was totally blown away by these two young performers. They’re so talented I ended up staying well after the meal and having 2 more glasses of the wine. Overall, a lovely experience. My only regret is I visited on my last night in Kutaisi. Guess I’ll just have to come back to Georgia again! :)

We came there to try out georgian cuisine, and all of the items we ordered we would strongly recommend to anyone. We ordered seasonal vegetable appetiser, imeretian khachipuri, their modern version of khinkali, cheese board appetiser, and asked them to pick wine for us that would go with the food we ordered. The wine they picked fit well with the food and was also a very tasty local georgian wine. We also tried out their chacha, which was amazing. The service was also very good. We got greeted with happiness and enthusiasm. The person was knowledgeable and also very open to help us with any questions we had about the menu (the menu was in georgian) and helped us translate it. He picked a good georgian wine that fit well with the georgian food we ordered. Overall, it was a very friendly, happy, and quality service. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also good. It was very cosy, beautiful, and atmospheric with a rustic and vintage feel to it. Overall, I would happily recommend anyone wanting to try out georgian cuisine to visit Sapere, and I will definitely be coming back to them myself.

Soup was a senseless mix of few vegetables. Cheese as a dish did not deserve to be a dish. Service was very slow and careless/unpleasant. After 1 hour I learned that they forgot my chinkali. Card payment did not work. When I suggested to recompensate us with a free fruit they didn't care about our satisfaction. I fully feel that our visit was a 1 star experience. Even though the interior of the restaurant is OK.

Place was way too noisy and over-rated in my opinion. I ordered Khinkali or Georgian dumplings but I wasn't too impressed by the taste despite them being recommended. For dessert, I ordered an espresso and a strudel but the espresso came way before the strudel! In fact, it had been forgotten and I had to remind three waiters about it. At least I was given a new espresso when the strudel arrived.

We had a great experience with the restaurant. I can say the best Georgian food I found in Kutaisi. The location is near the Best Western Hotel and white bridge. Accessible to all transportation. We ordered the best Imeritian Khachapuri, Mchadi on Ketsi, try the Kuchmachi, Chicken fajitas, Shaslik, and some red and white house wine. The food was excellent and the ambience was perfect. Staff can speak and understand English which is 👍 great. Good value for the price

This is my hometown and I love it very much. It is a beautiful, very radiant, and special city. It is hard to come to terms with the fact that people leave this city by the thousands every year because of a bad and poor life. This place of the city, where this lovely restaurant is located, is simply magnificent. On that day, the International Women's Day, it was very crowded there, but we all had a pleasant time. They cook tasty and quality food there. The staff is all youth. They are nice but not great professionals.

1 | The restaurant with Georgian cuisine is located on the square near the Colchis Fountain. It's worth a visit for a taste of the local cuisine, but its quality loses out to Western standards. 2 | Adjarian khachapuri priced at 14.60 GEL was good, there was plenty of cheese and it was even in the edges. There was no shortage of egg and butter. The khachapuri satiates on its own. The pork barbecue at 10 GEL was disappointing for me, the meat was tough and not well seasoned. 3 | The prices were higher than what I was expecting at this place. However, it is possible to pay by card. 4 | The menu is available in English, however the staff did not speak English. Staff was diligent and friendly. 5 | The interior of the restaurant is traditional, it may look a bit outdated. There are over ten tables in several height levels for seating. 6 | I would recommend trying the Georgian Natakhtari lemonade with vanilla cream flavor once. The lemonade is terribly sweet and I honestly didn't like it much, but the flavor, popular in the former USSR countries, is at least worth a taste for its uniqueness.

We tried the “Khachapuri Imeruli (Closed Cheese Pide) and Khachapuri Acharuli (Open Cheese Pide)” — both were absolutely delicious! If you’re a cheese lover, Khachapuri is definitely a must-try.

Extremely good! I couldn’t wait to eat and forgot to take a picture before we mixed the butter, egg and cheese together on the khachapuri. Definitely recommend! We’ve had beer, salad with tomatoes, cucumber and walnuts, khachapuri and lobio. Everything was perfect!

The place is not too bad, the food is ok but extremely fat. We asked the weither if the food we ordered was too much and he said he was the right quantity, but we were three adult man and half of the food we ordered was leftover. I did not like that.

Food was ok. We were sitting outside and the waiters didn't pay much attention to us. Had to go inside a few times to ask something. The menu said 10% service charge will be added. When I got the check they already added 10% service charge to the total and the waiter still asked for a tip. When I told him about the service charge the waiter said 'he forgot' it was already added automatically.

Rude and extremely bad manager as well as extremely unorganised and unacceptable service. We were four ordered foods , my own meal which was Mexican Fajita was not eatable because chicken and beed stripes were undercooked the sauce which was supposed to be Mexican was very sweet! However the worse was when they brought one of our company meals 15 minutes after other 3 already finished the meal! and manager refused even to acknowledge. They brought Khinkhali very late while they served the same food for those local who arrived after us! Manager (young woman) came to throw the dish on our table and explained that’s Georgian way of serving! Saying: this is not Europe! Without any sense of remorse pr apologies. Quiet rude and arrogant!

In this restaurant they charge for a service fee (I didn't check if it was the right amount actually but people have complained). I asked for a soup and Veal Ojakhuri. Around 40 min later I still don't have food or drink... I ask the waitress and she comes from the kitchen and says 5/10minutes more... "40 minutes for a soup?!" I asked. She goes in again and a few minutes later she brings me the soup... almost 1h after I sat at the restaurant... then she brings the main course immediately. So now I have the hot soup to eat and the main cooling down 🤦‍♂️ And when I pay, the waiter asks for tip??? You already charged a 10% fee! He said it's for the restaurant. The food is already more expensive than the raw ingredients because of that! Not tipping,no. Other than that, the atmosphere was good. Saw some people complaining about food but that's not my business... The food wa alright. The meat was chewy. The potatoes were delicious though

Ate dinner here tonight. Service was fast, food was delicious and big servings. We came a 2nd night and were advised khinkali was not available due to water being changed. We had git chicken salad instead and it was nice. We also had the special khachapuri which was ok.

Aura Café-Bar in Kutaisi was, unfortunately, one of the more disappointing dining experiences I've had in Georgia. I ordered the beef Stroganoff, a dish I was excited to try for the first time. After a long wait, the plate finally arrived — and I was immediately underwhelmed. The portions were shockingly small, as clearly seen in photos, and the presentation didn’t help. The ingredients looked and tasted industrial, the fries were dry, and the two lonely pieces of salad did little to brighten the plate. The meat lacked both flavor and proper texture, making the dish barely edible. I also tried a dish called "Madame Bovary" — a mix of meat, tomatoes, and cheese. It was slightly better, something you could eat without hating it, but still nothing remarkable. A friend who had tried the same dish at a different restaurant confirmed it’s usually much better elsewhere. As a big fan of crêpes, I thought I’d give their chocolate crêpe a try. I ended up with a banana chocolate crêpe — not exactly what I ordered, but it turned out to be the most tolerable item I tasted that evening. The only thing truly enjoyable was the homemade milkshake, which was refreshing and well made — though that’s hardly a culinary challenge. The place might be suitable if you're looking to enjoy a shisha and a drink, but for food, it's best avoided. Definitely not a spot I’d return to for a meal.

We had a wonderful experience at Aura! We were lucky to meet the owner, Giorgi, who was very accommodating and made us feel truly welcome. The food was absolutely amazing, and the special shisha served to us added a unique touch to the evening. On top of that, the people in Kutaisi are incredibly kind and hospitable. A large restaurant with many tables. In January, it was cold inside, making it uncomfortable. Only the administrator spoke English. The waiter didn’t take the order correctly because he didn’t understand me at all, even though I pointed at every picture in the menu. Instead of beef, they brought pork, which was undercooked. Cappuccino was unavailable. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant, which had a peculiar appearance. Communication was a significant challenge due to the waiter's limited English proficiency. To make matters worse, half of the starter options were unavailable. The kebab was overpoweringly seasoned with cumin, and there was a mix-up with our order - we requested beef but received pork instead. This mistake was likely due to the waiter's rushed service and language barrier. Until the restaurant improves its staff's language skills and service, I wouldn't recommend it to tourists. It's essential for establishments catering to visitors to prioritize effective communication to ensure a pleasant dining experience.

We had a really good time eating at Lowenbrau Pub. The food was delicious, and the staff were really friendly. The only downside was that there were some people just hanging around, which made the atmosphere a bit less enjoyable. Overall, though, we still had a nice experience at Lowenbrau Pub.

Best Khinkali and fresh beer in Kutaisi is served here. Atmosphere is amazing with birds and tree shadows in the yard. Service is pretty fast and prices are balanced.

The decor of the place is awesome. It has good outdoor seating, indoor seating and also chambers which is ideal for people looking for a confined space for themselves. I didn't try the food and the wine I ordered was not good. The owner of the place is a gentleman and very hospitable.

Without a doubt one this was one of our favourite meals in Georgia after almost a month of travel. The restaurant is beautiful - the walls are decorated with wine bottles, local ceramics and other art pieces, and our chairs were upholstered with rustically patterned local fabrics. The vegetarian options were delicious. Highlights were a simple but perfectly dressed tomato salad with loads of purple basil, mchadi with multicoloured balls of puréed vegetable and the oven roasted cubes of potato. We had a few different white and amber wines by the glass. All were tasty and interesting without being defective (which is often the case with wines we’ve tried in other restaurants). When we asked the waitress about the agricultural motifs painted onto our plates she explained to us their significance with great enthusiasm. The music was great too. They were playing relaxing Georgian opera-style folk to which the waitress would occasionally sing along. Check it out! It’s worth the stroll across the river.

Favorite restaurant for us in Kutaisi. The food and wine here is delicate, well curated and done elegantly. Everything here was wonderful and delicious. One of the few restaurants that I miss dearly.

This is the best place for wine tasting in Kutaisi! (Tsinandali is absolutely recommended!) The staff is very friendly and can suggest wines according to your taste. The menu is short, but offer traditional Georgian dishes and everything is freshly made on the grill. We visited two times during our stay in Kutaisi, at the second occasion we have the opportunity to taste the chacha of the House :)

Came here with a friend to taste some wine and what a good time that we had. The guys working there are super cool have great English and are happy for you to try almost wines. We tried 3 wines and some local sprit all for free. But we did buy a bottle of wine after I think it’s a must for the service that you get. You can either drink there or take the bottle away with you. Georgia has such a vast history of wine and it would be disappointing if you didn’t get the chance to try a few quality wines. They specialise in small batch wine working with local producers rather than big companies which I thought was a nice touch.

Best place we found in Kutaisi. Both waiters (one time a young lady, two times a young man) are extremely nice and polite, the lady knows a lot about wines! After a little introduction about different wines - she offered some chacha "on the house", madloba :) Food is very good, wine is even better! Second time we came to this place - we spent the whole day just in this wine bar. Great atmosphere, awesome music. All in all - only good things, 100% recommend!

Nice wine and lovely staff. We sat outside in the evening and they gave us blankets too to keep us warm. Cheese board for 20 lari was huge! We had to get a box (which they happily provided) to take most of it back to our hotel! We got some of the cheapest wine (their house bottle) for 15 lari.

Place looks like a proper restaurant. Nice interior and music. Very good service. My food was ok. Started with garlic bread which was more half burnt toast with some salty garlic spread. Ordered a beef steak medium, but it tasted more like well-done.

Couldn't even get two plates of food out at the same time, while there were only three tables. And after 45 minutes of waiting, the second half of our order was overcooked and inedible. As compensation, 5 whole percents were taken off the bill. Please for the love of food don't go here

If you would like to taste Georgian cuisine, you would better go to Sesam in Kutaisi. The place is always crowded. On some days the food is really amazing, on others simply good. But I will still recommend to dine there, especially if you are fond of Karaoke. You can sing and dance in the evenings there. They have really delicious veal barbecue but it takes time to get the order prepared. You would better go to Sesam with friends and spend a nice evening eating, drinking, chatting, singing and dancing there. You can even meet new people as many locals love this place.

Had an entertaining evening here, they do need to work on their lighting, from outside the place seems closed, and inside it can be very cosy if they leave off the blue lights on the walls (which they occasionally turned off and on, don't know why). Also there was a dj that was playing sometimes out of the blue, some arguably very bad music which the locals did seem to enjoy a lot by the way. All in all: good night out, with delicious food. (OMG the Tiramisu was out of this world)

We found this place by chance. We were a group of 9 people. We needed to have a tasty meal, it was my birthday. We were invited to the terrace with a beautiful view of the city. The staff was very friendly and polite. All the food was incredibly delicious. They gave me dessert from the establishment at the end of the meal. Had a fantastic fillet steak at this restaurant, and at a reasonable price compared to what you would spend in most places. Also, the cheesecake was a great way to end the meal. Compliments to all the staff for such a great place.

Very nice and welcoming staff, amazing location and the atmosphere and the interior is also very pleasant and comfortable. We had a Caesar salad with chicken - the portion was huge for only 19 gel (quiet enough for three people to share), also the meat dumpling soup was very delicious, cozy and light. We tried the homemade lemonade with ginger and honey (1 liter in a jug) and it was very refreshing and tasty as well. Highly recommended !

The salad could’ve had more dressing/spices, but overall it was a good salad. The atmosphere is nice. The place is not crowded. The waitress was very nice and friendly.

Great Restaurant, Nice Ambience and interiors. What i liked here more is the interiors and the antiques on display more than the food :) . The Restaurant is great and the food is as well good. They should maintain their restrooms in a better way. Price is bit on the higher side. Over all Enjoyed. Ordered food here first and then went to sightseeing location and by the time was back, the food was ready. Little problem with communication as the staffs were not so fluent in English.

From the starter to the dessert - we tremendously enjoyed Siam Thai Restaurant! We decided to go for what might be the popular choices in a typical Thai restaurant: Spring Rolls (12) as appetizers, Phad Thai with chicken (24) and Tom Yum soup with rice (25) as mains, and sticky rice with coconut ice cream (12) for dessert. For drinks we had the Kayaki beer (7), which was served with a glove to avoid the cold feeling of the glass. The food was so delicious and comforting - every dish was special in its own way, and reminded us both of the tasty Thai food we tried in Thailand. The service was very kind and friendly, with a nice and cozy atmosphere in the place. Do not miss! Enjoy the photos :)

We were checking out some locations in Kutaisi and around and decided to get lunch in Siam based on Google reviews, and it did not disappoint. Great food, fast service. Yesterday we were served by a guy who was genuinely friendly and that was probably the most remarkable hospitality experience I have had after 1,5 years of living in Georgia. Today we came back for a takeaway and there was a lady behind the counter who was nice, friendly, smiling and helpful. Wonderful overall experience. Definitely recommend and would come back once I am in Kutaisi again.

Loved this place. It was some of the best food we had in Georgia. It was so good - we came two days in a row. Everything was really good, especially pad thai, green curry, garlic shrimp, spring rolls and cashew chicken. Pad kra pao was delicious flavor wise, the meat was a bit chewy.

Being used to eat at Turkish restaurants, this one is a shame. The food isn’t tasty, it’s obvious it’s not fresh, the chicken is terribly dry, the bread was terrible. And on top of that, it’s overpriced! Tourists come here because it’s halal but it’s not worth it whatsoever. The one star is solely for the young Indian waiter who was polite, serious and nice to speak to.

Best Turkish restaurant in Kutaisi. We ordered cucumber with yogurt, adana kabab was amazing, beef kufta, pide, and iskender was the best, chicken sandwich.. tea.. everything was delicious. Staff was good. Our waiter was Almas He was amazing. You must visit restaurant. Very good for family table.

I was alone in the bar. After ignoring me for over 5 mins they come to take order. Waiting for another 15 minutes didn't resulted to at least coffee being served (which means press one button). But my omelette finally arrived. This was definitely the most disgusting omelette in my life. I couldn't eat more than one bit. Paid 5 GEL for nothing and left really annoyed. They didn't try to at least not accept the money. Just avoid.

Horrible food, horrible service. I highly do not recommend this place to any tourist. We ordered a few dishes, 3/4 of them were way too salty, some of them even took longer than 30 minutes to arrive. When we asked the waitress to change our dish due to it being inedible and too salty she refused to change or refund us for it. After a while of arguing with her she agreed to change our dish. Only good thing here was the other waitress which was pretty nice.

Awful service... Dirty kitchen... orders need 1 hour to prepare. No any attention from the stuff. The only one thing what was good here it is beer but now even it doesn't taste good. It's very interesting that this place is very attractive for tourists. Maybe because it' open bar and has good location to sit.

On first sight, it looked like a nice terrace with live music, so we decided to sit down for a bite. My girlfriend ordered some fresh juice, which they didn't have, so she went for a homemade lemonade. She ended up with a fruit flavoured water. I received a salmon which was still raw on the inside. When I mentioned it, they took it away without bringing it back. They also put a salad on the table (which I thought was a side dish), but it was for another table. They just moved it to the other clients, even though I had already eating a little from it... Crazy things going on in that place. I prefer to avoid it in the future.

We have had so many issues in this restaurant. The food took long time to be prepared, there was a really LOUD music playing and also huge TV with football match, which made the atmosphere be so off. The food was great, but our they turned on the ac on right behind our back, so we moved tables but the table was moving from side to side, ugh.

I had the beef chakapuli and it was incredible! I also needed some veggies after a long day and ordered an ajapsandali which was also delicious. Very kind waiters, just the guy at the counter wasn't really friendly for some reason.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this Georgian restaurant in Kutaisi! The food was simply outstanding — the khinkali were juicy and flavorful, the khachapuri perfectly cheesy, and the soups warm and comforting. And the wine… it was truly exceptional, rich and full of character, making the whole meal unforgettable. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Kutaisi — a true taste of Georgia at its best!!

An authentic Georgian Cuisine, located very near to the main Square of Kutaisi. The food was very delicious and all that we ordered was good in it's own way. They had some nice home made lemonades, we tried the mixed berry one and it was refreshing. Overall had a very goof experience, recommended for tourists to visit of you want to try some Georgian dishes. The staff were very welcoming and service was quick.

Amazing place at Kutaisi !! Food and drinks are great ,, staff are very friendly and welcoming. They made me happy 🤍😃 . I went several times on my trip😍. They offer hookah as well for a very good price. The location is in downtown so it is close to everything. I recommend tourists and locals to visit.

We had the spaghetti bolognaise, steak Mignon and Eggplant. All three meals were delicious and affordable.

I did not have a pleasant experience there. The waiter spoke some English, but was not adequately trained. I asked for a mineral water, salad, chicken barbecue and ice-cream with berries for desert. He brought me salad , but no water. Then he brought me ice-cream that was dripping and left a spot on the glass table. I was hoping to enjoy my desert after the meal, but the ice-cream was melting and no barbecue yet. The salad was not very fresh, cucumbers were kind of soggy and some were bitter. Eventually the barbecue came , but it was very dry. I cancelled the desert. There is a much less pretentious restaurant with much fresher food and better service about 100 meters up the street called Khinkali house. I recommend that one whole heartedly.

Came for lunch, was pretty much dead as it's the winter season beginning of Feb. The restaurant inside is spotless clean and with fancy furnishing and finish. It has overall a prestigious vibe to it. The food was very good and well prepared. We got an Georgian starter set and then main dishes. No complaints at all, the barbecued meat I got was quite fresh and well cooked-same can be said about the others. Surprisingly no local beer options, only Estrella. The waiters were rather inexperienced in contrast to the style of the establishment, but there were no big issues to mention. Overall it seems they are trying so that's what's important. Definitely recommend eating here.

Restaurant has a good ambience. Servers are attentive and speak decent English. We ordered the strawberry homemade lemonade which had blueberries and strawberries when we ordered for lunch. Same thing during dinner were missing the berries. The boat kachapuri was nice. I like the Salmon Ceaser salad. However the chicken in the Chicken Ceaser Salad was not very soft. Vegetable starter was ok The spaghetti bolognese had less mince and not the traditional thin spaghetti. Portion enough for one person taste was ok. Pepperoni pizza was ok a little chewy. Cheese cake was very good portion had good flavour. The size of the chocolate Lava cake was just for one person. Creme Brulee was ok nothing I would order again. Over all good experience and pricing is OK.

This place was carved in my brain. You can enjoy food , relax as the view was like a dream. Greenery surrounded al the angles and was like sitting in the middle of the lake. Not crowded during week days.

Great food, very friendly staff who spoke fluent English, a great view and excellent music. The Belgian waffle was delicious and so was the Margarita pizza and pasta. The tomato and cucumber salad with walnut and the hot chocolate were amazing too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

View was nice but we didn't get the covered seating where they had some live music. Perhaps they need more servers. We ordered the Georgian salad, eggplant with walnuts Ojapuri. which was ok. Cheese cake had no flavour it had a hard crust slightly burnt no flavour of any cheese, the chocolate syrup was splattered on the plate but still couldn't make up for the taste the strawberry syrup helped us gulp down the piece instead of wasting. We also ordered the Triamasu I couldn't taste the mascarpone cheese, just whipped cream and what seemed like chocolate sponge drenched in water. Just one visit was enough.

Dirty old place with scratches on the plates. Stinky water. Wine was served warm. Chicken was so dry and uneateble. Meat in the soup old and huge peaces with large bones impossible to eat. Just one menu on the table. We were waiting for orders too long, orders were served separately not together for every one. The order for our mare were missed and we waited about two hours for it. P.s. From 10 dishes we've ordered just fries were very good and tasty. Waiter was nice and kind. Quality of the food 0.5/10....

They ignore me twice i called him and no response. They bring my coffee first with the ice cream with one spoon only! And we were 6 members , I asked him for more spoons and he didn’t give me said okay and forgot me at all. Also my other orders which were crepe and tiramisu which are easy to bring no cooking no effort they bring it to me after 25~ minutes 😁 with no knifes and no forks😁 how can i eat? By my hands?😁 poor service they gave me after i asked for it The 3 stars for the location and the building design.

Very bad experience. The food took over 1 hour. We had a flight to catch but still the restaurant people never showed any importance, when we came it was just us and 1 more table with people around but still they did not serve even 1 dish till 70 minutes. They have multy-cuisine food, excellent wine and professional dancers. There is the best service, dress code and booking in advance. You can enjoy with real Georgian "Supra" in Kolkha

We had an amazing time at Museum Bar & Restaurant in Kutaisi! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch. Salome and the entire team were so friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming – they made us feel right at home. We loved the food – everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere had such a great vibe – a perfect mix of cozy and stylish, with a relaxed yet lively feel that made our evening even more enjoyable.

I visited this place about 5 months ago — the food was excellent back then: the meat was juicy, perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, everything at a high level. That’s exactly why I decided to come back. Today I ordered takeaway. At first, I was charged a service fee even though it was a to-go order. When I asked why the total was higher, only after speaking to another staff member did they recalculate and return the difference. Unfortunately, when I got home, I was disappointed: the meat turned out dry and nothing like the delicious one I remembered. It’s a pity, because I came back expecting the same taste and quality as before. I really hope this was just a one-time mistake and that the restaurant returns to its previous standard.

We ordered chicken steak, eggplants in walnuts, kebab, kharcho soup and khinkali. All 5 items were insanely delicious! 😋 We’ve tried khinkali many times all over Georgia and this place was our favorite by far. It was a bit spicy which we really enjoyed. Great service and the young staff members speak fantastic English. Didn’t mind the 15% surcharge because of this fact. Music was also being played and I loved the cool 90’s song selection!

I visited this place with my girlfriend and very quickly regretted that decision. Right from the start, I was told that the only available shisha flavor was fruit, priced at 60 lari. Then I noticed the shockingly high drink prices — and unfortunately, things only got worse from there. We waited over 20 minutes for the shisha, and when it finally arrived, it was absolutely terrible. It had a faint fruity taste, barely produced any smoke, and there wasn’t the slightest hint of tobacco. Meanwhile, no one bothered to ask if we were enjoying it or to check how it was burning — which is especially disappointing considering they automatically add a 15% service charge. We asked for the bill and an explanation. The poorly informed waiter claimed that in Georgia, shisha is always nicotine-free, which is complete nonsense, as we had smoked proper shisha in other places in Georgia. When asked what the 15% charge on the bill was for, he said it was a tax. I strongly recommend avoiding this place — it’s nothing more than a typical Georgian tourist trap.

We try shisha all around the world and even have our own at home, but I’ve never been more disappointed. The shisha we got was just terrible. It was never mentioned that their tobacco is nicotine-free, which is quite an important detail. The staff explained that in Georgia shisha usually doesn’t contain nicotine, which is surprising, as we had no such issue when trying shisha in Tbilisi. No one came to check the charcoal or ask about the flavor - something that should be standard, especially when they charge a 15% service fee.. which the staff tried to explain as a “tax.” Additionally, the staff didn’t seem knowledgeable about what they were offering — they constantly had to go back to the manager for more information and then return to our table with the answers. The manager was guiding them the entire time but never came to our table personally to clarify the situation. Overall, I recommend avoiding this place. Even my vape provides a stronger experience than their shisha.

The food itself was decent. Bbq chicken was very good, the berry lemonade was perfect. Some dishes were too salty to our taste. Strong perfume scent inside the restaurant. The real problem began when we ordered desserts. They were good, but we had been waiting for the lava cake for more than 40 minites!!! It ruined all the impression of the restaurant, i didnt expect it to be like that. In the end we asked for takeaway, waited for 10 more minutes and just left. If you need so much time for prepering it- warn your customers about it or start cooking in advance.

I took one star off because we had to wait a long time (about 1 hour) for just 15 khinkalis to arrive. An hour is enough to make a steak! Yes, the hall was quite full (there were some free seats, though), but by the time they served us 15 khinkalis, they had already served a lot of food to the customers who came and ordered after us. I took another star because we ordered lemonade for 3 lari a person, but when the bill came it appeared that it was "branded" lemonade for 9 lari for a person. So, we expected to spend 6 lari fir drinks, but actually we spent 18! I suppose the waiter should have made it clear what lemonade exactly he intends to bring us. By the way, by "branded" lemonade they mean a glass of cold iced water with a few cranberries (defrozen, I guess). Be careful: on the menu there are two types of lemonade: just "lemonade" (3 lari a glass) and that "branded lemonade" (9 lari a glass), so make sure the waiter understands correctly which one you want. If we had known that the lemonade was 9 lari a glass, we would have ordered beer for the same price (which is definitely branded). Oh, as for the beer. They have a banner at the entrance: buy 1 beer (Guinness or Blue Moon), get one more for free. So, this offer doesn't work anymore. However, they hesitate to put aside the banner, for some reason. As for the food, the khinkalis were tasty, thanks to the chef.

I love this place. Our local friends invited us and recommended this they have the best Khinkali and kebabs. Also we were booked in VIP room and i still think we spent less than expected. Highly recommended.

Our first time experiencing kachhapuri in Georgia. 🇬🇪 Amazing experience, beautiful ambience, a little bit late service but the taste made it all worth waiting. My kids loved the pizza though being simple vegetarian. Mushroom with silgini cheese was out of this world.

Food is fantastic. But unfortunately the service is very poor. Even the plates and glasses were broken.

Location is nice, but the staff is terrible. Two times I was there before - almost no one from the staff spoke english, althought everyone is very young. Why? Even my friend 7 years old girl from Svaneti speaks perfect. I tried to get some help with food, but no one seems interested in their clients, staff very unpatient and rude. My parents just came to the reastaurant and asked if they can take anything away, because I was laying at the hotel with temperature. Since they are older and can't speak english well, they tried to comunicate in russian (we are from Lithuania and don't like to speak that language too) and staff just began to make fun of them and ignore, were extra rude. Even made my mom cry. My parents just wanted to help me and get some warm food and spend their last night in Sakartvelo nicely, with traditional food. I haven't met such an awfull, unrespectfull and rude staff anywhere else. It seems that this restaurant hired the worst people from all the Sakartvelo. We had such an amazing experiences in every places we visited before. Maybe you just don't like people from foreign countries, tourists? Then you just should write it, so no one else would have sunch an awfull experiences like us. Thanks to the man, who helped my parents to comunicate (he wans't working at restaurant). I won't be coming back here again, neither my groups. Awoid this place at any cost. We went there, because it was close to our hitel, but it is better just to go with taxi to a proper restaurant with friendly staff. I love this country, I make tours here, but this restaurant dissapionted me 3 times. No more chances. Thank you for ruined evening.

I have been in georgia for 4 days and this was not up to the Georgian standards. The food was very regular and only 1 person spoke English but the service was good, 5 stars for trying and smiling.

Food was good. However, service is slow and not very efficient. First time we went there, the dishes we ordered were mistaken. Second time, they forgot the sides. Terrible organization. Be prepared for large groups of Georgian guests and loud music, which is not bad at all. We really enjoyed a group of friends singing and were invited to to a glass of wine. Very nice!

" სანაპირო" , a famous garden restaurant in the City of Kutaisi. In fact, there are two main courses among alternatives on the menu, the first is grilled meats, the last is Georgian pastry foods.  As for the beverages, it's just a few kinds of beer. In short, Local people can love to come and have dinner here, but I suggest foreigners and tourists to be more selective. So , two actions bothered me; *the waitress who didn't write the orders and brought the food we didn't choose *the head waiter who forcing us to leave the table as soon as we finished our meal

This local is located near a river, with a huge garden. Sadly not all waiters were able to speak english so we tried ordering with our basic russian, which worked fine as well. The food was delicious and filling, but once we had ordered non of the waiters was paying attention to us anymore, even though we wanted to order something. After 20 minutes a waiter finally decided to come to our place, but after waiting for such a long time we decided to ask for the bill. The food was good, but the waiters could work on themselves a little bit more. I’d give 3,5 stars, but since there are no half stars, I’m giving 4 stars.

We were welcomed with genuine hospitality, received top-notch service, and every dish was simply amazing! The traditional Ukrainian dishes, prepared with love, were especially impressive. The staff was very attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. If you want to experience authentic Ukrainian cuisine and enjoy a warm, welcoming atmosphere, this place is a must-visit!

Waiter speaks fluent English, place is super noce and food delicious. We had few dishes stroganoff, chicken liver, fish kotlets and also lard with garlic.Portions are huge! We paid 120 GEL for 4 people, 1 statter, 4 mains, salad and 5 drinks. Super place highly recommended as Ukrainian experience.

It is a lovely place with amazing borsh that is served withe dark bread, sour cream, creamy lard, and garlic. There is a vegetarian option with beans that is also very tasty! Highly recommend to visit!

In a word- fantastic! An absolutely sublime borscht was the stand-out, but all the dishes I asked for were delicious (and there were many)! The hospitality also stood out as top-notch- I was made to feel incredibly welcome. Fantastic food, excellent people and generous pricing- nothing more you could ask for. I'd highly recommend to any and all, and will certainly be going back myself (once I've recovered from the feast!). Lastly worth noting that while many restaurants are asking people to review (and putting on some social pressure that arguably inflates their ratings), these guys didn't. This is an entirely unprompted and fully merited review, which goes to show how genuinely excellent I think they are.
