White House Subs, a long-standing chain, is a must-visit spot in Atlantic City for its iconic stacked subs. Established in 1946, this casual eatery on Arctic Avenue has gained worldwide fame for its mouthwatering hoagies. The signature sub, packed with Italian meats and provolone, is a crowd favorite.
If you go to Atlantic City and do not stop here for a cheese steak or a hoagie, well…you’re just insane. Take my advice and all the other reviewers advice and go. Wait in line - because there will be one - and order one of everything. Just kidding, order your fave and savor the history of the world’s most perfect sandwich. Bread is fresh, stuffed nicely and accompanied with peppers. Service is excellent.
Rebecca R — Google review
When you walk into this place it’s like stepping back in time. The atmosphere is perfect. Guys at their stations making sandwiches to perfection. The cheesesteak had an amazing taste. The relish added a nice touch. The turkey sandwich was more than you can eat and was equally delicious. This is a must stop place if you are hungry in the area.
John B — Google review
Great 1960s Mom and Pops feel with new energy. Nostalgic memorabilia to enjoy with pictures of entertainers, artists, politicians and other public figures from several eras which are very charming. I felt great being there.
Gino N — Google review
Got the half-size Italian sub. Held off on the hot peppers. Bread was good. Cold cuts and cheese was an ample portion. Maybe next time I will try the special to Amp up the amount of meat. Service was good. Ate at one of booths. Most folks were getting orders to go. Waitress service if you sit in a booth. Otherwise order at the counter towards the back.
Kurt W — Google review
I was looking for local spots here in AC, something with old world charm for lunch and I stumbled on the absolute largest and best sub I’ve had in forever. They are not kidding about the size of the whole thing, and the waitress even warned me. This is a great location if you’re with your buddies searching for some delicious affordable food, and the best thing about it is I won’t have to eat for 2 days! Will be back!

Heartbroken. Every summer,as long as i could remember, I enjoyed White House Subs. Never minded waiting in line to eat in. You could smell the onions wafting through the air. Didn't mind having to navigate past waiting crowds to pick up take-out. I knew my reward was waiting. I raised two sons who enjoyed the same. I moved to Florida several years ago and nothing could compare. I am here for a visit. We placed a large order for a party. As I unwrapped each one they just didn't look the same. Where was that reverse stuffing that kept the lettuce, tomato and onion from falling out and kept the roll from getting soggy? The lettuce was on the roll, limp and made the roll soggy. Obviously not the consistant, artistic pride executed by every sandwich maker no matter how busy they were. It's true...." nothing stays the same"
Andrea R — Google review
I ordered the chicken cheesteak, very tasty and juicy, tender and love those peppers that come in the tiny cup. The people that work there are very nice friendly/ pleasant. Clean environment.
Rebecca P — Google review
I originally walked in to get a soda but when I saw those subs I had to get one. And then I sent my friends to get one when after they saw mines. And then I went back to get another one. And now I can't stop thinking about getting another one. Love This Place

Located in Cape May, New Jersey, The Lobster House is a popular seafood restaurant with a lively atmosphere and waterfront views. It offers a full bar and casual dining experience, serving fresh lobster and seafood from the dock for lunch and dinner every day of the week. In addition to its five dining rooms, The Lobster House provides a unique dining experience on the Schooner American, an authentic 130-foot-long Grand Banks sailing vessel moored dockside.
Nice place for dinner. We seated inside the restaurant because we wanted air conditioning. But we realized that seating on the dock or the boat was also cool with sea breeze. We Will definitely choose to seat outside with Take-out orders the next time visiting Cape May. I gave only four stars because we waited for the food very long and it seemed like the waitress was too busy. But she was friendly. In general, I like this place and will come back again.
Alex Z — Google review
The restaurant sign at the entrance is large and easy to spot — anyone passing by on their way to Cape May Beach will definitely see it. There’s plenty of parking, which makes it very convenient. The restaurant is divided into three sections: seating on the boat, roadside seating, and indoor seating. Since it was raining when we visited, we sat inside. The interior has a classic, slightly old-school vibe. The staff were well-dressed and courteous. However, we were surprised when the server placed plates on our table that were still wet and had visible stains on them — we had to wipe them ourselves. We started with appetizers: fried calamari, fresh crab meat, jumbo shrimp cocktail, and clam chowder. The taste was decent. However, the staff repeatedly came over to ask if we were ready to order the main course, even though our table was still full of appetizers. It felt unnecessarily rushed, especially since it was raining and the restaurant wasn’t crowded. Once we finally ordered our mains — two lobsters (steamed and boiled) with a side of crab cake stuffing — the server brought us some bread. The bread was tasty and went well with the clam chowder, although it could get a bit messy when cutting. When the lobster arrived, we were excited — we had high expectations, especially from a place called “Lobster House.” Unfortunately, the taste was very average and not particularly fresh, which was disappointing. We eat seafood often and can tell the difference between fresh and not-so-fresh, and this was clearly not fresh. Overall, we were a bit let down. The restaurant is popular and worth visiting for the experience, but don’t expect too much. It could have been better.
Nitiphum S — Google review
We enjoyed a delicious meal, with friendly and attentive staff and a beautiful view of the harbor from our table. When we saw how many cars were in the parking lot, we were concerned we'd have a long wait for a table. However, the restaurant is huge, with multiple dining rooms, and we only waited about 20 minutes. The staff and kitchen were incredibly efficient, we were in awe of how smoothly they were able to serve so many people at once. I had the Flounder Francaise over linguine and it was one of the best meals I had on our two week trip across the Northeast coast. The fish was perfectly cooked with a light egg coating and the lemon wine sauce was delicious. My husband had the swordfish served on a wood plank with duchess potatoes and said his meal was perfect. We would definitely return when in the area again.
Dagny M — Google review
Quaint old school restaurant on the wharf with beautiful views and knowledgeable staff with adorable uniforms that take me back. Sandy was a great server. Very accommodating and direct. Food was excellent. It's nice that the salad is included with homemade dressing. The room was a little dark with many customers with flash lights. The bathroom attendant was so friendly.
Natalie S — Google review
It is one of the more popular restaurant in the area. There was a wait for dinner on a Thursday night. We arrived at 7:30pm and waited about 25-30 minutes for seats. Huge parking lot across the street. Crabmeat cocktail was good. Calamari was not that great. A little soggy and not crispy. Lobster house specialty was okay. The broiled 1.5lbs lobster was a must get.
Jason L — Google review
A staple spot to go in Cape May! Fresh seafood all the time, and delicious bread. It gets very busy! It's popular. It's best to get there right when they are opening, whether you are going to the restaurant or getting fresh seafood or takeout. It's worth the wait! Just know you might be waiting for a while.
Mary W — Google review
Consistently exceptional. The Lobster House in Cape May never disappoints. The bread, salad, and fried shrimp are always prepared to perfection. The Cape May Salt Oysters are a true standout — delicately mild, impeccably fresh, and absolutely delicious. A timeless coastal dining experience that continues to impress with every visit.
Lisa L — Google review
If you are into sea food, this is your place. Absolutely great food. We loved the lobster tail special, lobster house special linguini and oysters. They also have a bar with many drink options and you can wait there until your table its ready. It can get very busy so, plan to arrive ahead of time.

The Shrimp Box & Outside The Box Patio Bar is a long-standing waterfront restaurant with a charming nautical ambiance and outdoor seating. Overlooking the picturesque Manasquan River, it offers a delightful experience of savoring seafood and cocktails while enjoying the sunset. The interior exudes a friendly and comforting atmosphere, adorned with maritime elements. This over 75-year-old establishment, once a commercial fishing dock, now serves an array of delectable seafood dishes at competitive prices.
I ate here about 10 years ago. I came back tonight with my wife. It was outstanding!! From the food, to the service, to the prices , to portions ,to view, to bathrooms, there was nothing disappointing. Incredible service, their whole team is customer focused. Whomever owns and manages this restaurant, i salute you. I have to give you 5 stars all around. We will be back.

My husband and I had a beautiful moment at The Shrimp Box. This restaurant is so chill and relax. The fresh seafood at reasonable prices were served by very nice and attentive server. The good view of Cooks Creek in Point Pleasant Beach made our lunch even more special. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to slow down and appreciate the good things in life. We love it!❤️

My server, Olivia, was amazing! She was incredibly attentive and made our meal even better. The food was spectacular — this is actually our second time here in just one week because we enjoyed it so much. We also had beautiful views of the water, which made the whole experience extra special. The environment is definitely an A+. I strongly recommend The Shrimp Box to anyone looking for great food at a fair price with a gorgeous view. We’ll definitely be back!

Great spot on the water to grab some lunch or dinner! The menu is excellent, full of yummy seafood options. They had everything from shrimp tacos to fancy surf and turf dinners. So whatever vibe your going for, they can provide. The outside patio overlooking the water and boats is gorgeous. And out server Paige was excellent, fast and friendly as well. Its a bummer that their happy hour specials are for inside only because of course everyone wants to sit outside.
Jessica Z — Google review
Great experience! We enjoyed a delicious meal on the patio with water and boat views. Our server was attentive and our food arrived promptly - hot and looking amazing. We ordered appetizers, the special clam bake and the house salad with pretzel clustered calamari. All were fresh and weather serving generous. Great way to start a vacation!

Thursday lunch (Sunset Dinner) at The Shrimp Box and had a wonderful afternoon! The waterfront location was awesome!. I ordered the ‘The Trio’- shrimp, scallops & flounder, which was so flavorful and fresh along with an app of Clams Casino. My partner got the Chicken Parm (they’re not a big seafood fan). But found it surprisingly well presented and cooked to perfection. Both meals came with soup or salad and dessert. Portions were generous! That salad was great but just a bit too much dressing.. Service was friendly, and attentive. Even a surprise check- in by the manager who asked how everything was! Prices are fair for quality seafood. All in all we’re glad we tried The Shrimp Box out! It’s a great spot for fresh seafood and a relaxed water view. Will be back next time I’m in Point Pleasant!!!!
SI S — Google review
Lovely place on the water in Point Pleasant. Excellent food in cozy clean restaurant. It feels familiar and comfortable but not old because of the remodeling. Nice view of the water if you get a table along the wall. Experienced kitchen with lots of good dishes at affordable prices for fresh seafood. Crab cakes are excellent. Scallops and salmon, fried shrimp all great. Carrot cake is great. Would like to visit again next time I'm up there. Parking lot can be a bit challenging, even though they have two. It can get very busy during peak times and season.
Joey F — Google review
The Shrimp Box is a great spot right next to Point Pleasant Beach, perfect for a summer outing with family or visitors. We tried the Sunset Diner Menu, which was a great deal and included soup or salad, a fresh seafood entrée, dessert, and a drink. Our group had golden fried shrimp, flounder, fish and chips, stuffed salmon, and lobster, everything was fresh and delicious. Great food, generous portions, and a beautiful waterfront setting. Definitely worth checking out for a relaxed, memorable meal by the shore!

Rooney's Oceanfront Restaurant is a breezy restaurant and bar featuring a two-level deck that offers stunning ocean views. The menu includes a fixed-price option with an array of seafood dishes, including the Chef's Colossal platter stacked with shrimp cocktail, clams, oysters, and lobster. Other lobster specialties like Lobster Bisque and Angry Lobster are also available. Located near Pier Village, this outdoor bar is known for its happy hour and live music.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks, the food was mostly good, with some exceptions. Rocking shrimp appetizer was the best. Charbroiled oysters were very good. Fried goat cheese was OK. Haddock and Salmon over cauliflower were very good. Spicy pasta was great. Steak had a bit of flavor to it I didn't particularly like. Red snapper special was so-so, I wouldn't order it again.. the sides were excellent, especially mushroom risotto and roasted carrots. Drinks and desserts were very good. If I was asked to change anything I would serve espresso in an espresso cup not in an oversized one, because it takes away from the experience.
Yuli — Google review
Great atmosphere. Food was good. It wasn't excessively pricey, which I appreciated. My kids enjoyed their meals and they were treated with kindness (which really impressed me). Some places don't like children especially when it's their busy days. But Rooney's seemed to enjoy having our kids dine with them. Definitely going back
Shanique N — Google review
Perfect place for a bridal shower! We just had one at Rooney’s in the sunroom. Everyone was amazing! All staff worked very hard to make the event lovely! They were kind and friendly and pleasant every second of the day! We look forward to hosting more events there. Thank you Rooney’s!!!

view of the ocean is absolutely stunning and creates the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—I especially loved the seafood dishes. The staff is attentive, friendly, and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Whether you’re going for a special occasion, date night, or just a casual meal by the water, Rooney’s never disappoints. Highly recommend! This was the lobster mac & cheese! 🧀
Rin N — Google review
Superb place. Sometimes oceanfront restaurants hide their inadequacy behind the gorgeous view. Yet, this is not the case here. Yes, the view is stunning, but they back it up with excellent food, excellent service and a warm and inviting atmosphere. Truly enjoyed our time here.
Berele — Google review
Talk about a hidden gem! Perfect ocean front restaurant with a lot of seating indoor and out. The food was fantastic and wasn’t overly priced compared to other restaurants in the area. A party of 8 with drinks only had a bill of about $700 including some appetizers. You’ll definitely need reservations well in advance but so worth it! We celebrated our wedding here and even got a free brownie to celebrate. Service wasn’t the fastest and drinks were a little on the strong side, but not worth dinging any stars because everything else makes up for it
Elysia — Google review
Rooney’s is a high quality restaurant with a strong beachfront atmosphere. The food is excellent and it is pricey. The service is professional and neighborly. The bar area is large. They stock quality libations but they do not offer frozen mixed drinks. If you want an upscale place to eat delicious seafood with a very nice atmosphere, this is a good choice.
Jeffrey P — Google review
Despite the GPS providing an incorrect direction, we were compelled to contact the restaurant. The cuisine was satisfactory, offering a diverse selection of sauces and side dishes. The portion sizes were substantial. The waitress was both amiable and attentive.

Beach Creek Oyster Bar & Grill is a casual surf 'n' turf restaurant and bar located in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. It offers an intimate dining room and a marina-side deck where visitors can enjoy live bands. The restaurant is known for its fresh seafood dishes sourced from local waters, including mouthwatering tuna steak, seafood a la vodka, and complimentary bruschetta.
Friendly & attentive staff. Very quick service at 7pm without a wait (opening night of the season). Great view of the sunset on the patio. The food was delicious overall and we highly reccomed the Croc Tears and Seafood A La Vodka! The Blakened Mahi was too salty and the greens were very bitter BUT the mashed potatoes and mango salsa were both heavenly (fresh!). This resturant came highly reccomed by a local and we could see why! If you're reading this during peak season, it's worth the wait!
Rachel S — Google review
My first visit here. Have wanted to try it for quite awhile. I was not disappointed, nor will you be! I sat at the bar inside, but they have an awesome outside bar and deck area with live music. It does get crowded, but worth it. Now for the food! I had the Croc Tears and Crab cake. Good grief! So good I wanted to order both again. Service was great, love the atmosphere. Can't wait to get back.
Kevin D — Google review
We came here because I had seen a post on social media highlighting the restaurant. The atmosphere on the water is great and our server Sean was excellent. The food was pretty good for the most part - they say the crab cake has no filler, but there was filler. My husband’s Caesar salad had a fly in it, which wasn’t great. No complaints elsewhere. They have a great $30 pre-fix menu for the first seating between 4-5pm.
Shaun M — Google review
Very popular and therefore busy location. There was a wait, which was expected. The staff were attentive, for was excellent. Talk was difficult due to the crowd and spacing of the tables.
Matthew S — Google review
Three of us were there on 28 September. It is a beautiful place. The drinks were awesome. It was downhill from there. The crab cake appetizer had no crab. The mahi fingers were bland. The French onion soup needed a better cheese. The Caesar salad was very flat and I did not think the greens were fresh. For $40 the crabcake dinner needed the crab! Very disappointing. We would go back for drinks.
David S — Google review
Ordered the half duck. Got two legs instead of half with the breast and wing Included. And it was dry. Waitress never brought out waters she said she was going to. Took 30 mins for her to refill my drink after she grabbed it twice and forgot about me. The bowl of soup I ordered for double price was the same size as a cup I could've ordered. Atmosphere was nice. Band was good. Food and service were mediocre and not as described in the menu. Wouldn't return for the price everything was and how lacking the food and service were.
Ron B — Google review
Great atmosphere, great food, AWESOME SERVICE! (Shout out to Molly our server). Very busy but wait time was less than stated which is always nice. Gave us time to have a cocktail and enjoy the atmosphere on the water. Live music was great too!
Joe J — Google review
We had two really great experiences at Beach Creek over the past two weeks. During our first visit, we waited at the bar for about 30 minutes and Devon was our bartender. She was very professional, approachable and attentive. We enjoyed an appetizer at the bar and then were seated for dinner outside. Dinner was very good and our meals arrived quickly. We enjoyed the crab cakes and the blackened mahi. My only disappointment is that the menu includes mashed potatoes with a lot of the seafood entrees. I am not a fan of mashed potatoes with seafood, so it's a personal preference. I did swap out regular mashed with sweet potato mashed and that was a better option for me. During our second visit last night we decided to sit at the outdoor bar and enjoy cocktails and apps for dinner. The bartenders outside were just as friendly and attentive as before. We really enjoyed the mahi fingers (yum, get 2 orders) and the old bay crab dip. It's off season, so the bar was full but not crowded. I can imagine the outdoor space gets very busy and the indoor area could get noisy. Just know that ahead of time. We plan to return next season. Thank you Beach Creek for a relaxing night with good food and cocktails. I recommend the Hendricks Creek martini for just $15!

Pete & Elda's Bar / Carmen's Pizzeria is a no-frills pizzeria and bar in a bustling setting. They serve thin crust pizza, pasta, and sandwiches. Their antipasto is one of favorites. They have a bar on one side and a restaurant/pizza on the other (and upstairs). There is usually a wait at peak hours, but they move quickly.
As good as advertised! Very busy but they have a great system for seating guests and working tables that makes it quick. Good service, and great food. The pizza was super thin, crackery crust but buttery and delicious. Super easy to eat. Wings were great too, and the chopped antipasto salad hit the spot too. Would definitely go back.
Jeff N — Google review
We drive 45 minutes to eat at Pete & Elda's- totally worth going out of your way for! The bar pie is fantastic, the bartenders are great, and the weekly specials are always on point. It gets wildly busy, and it can be tricky to get a seat at the bar. Lots of vegetarian options.

It was busy as usual but that's how you know its worth it! Pizzas were really good. I could eat whole pies on my own! It's def worth the trip once in your life! Bartender was super chill and staff was friendly. 10/10 would recommend!

Apparently, I’ve eaten here before according to my uncle. But that was a long time ago. I’m not sure why I don’t remember because the pizza was delicious. He said we sat at the bar and had a personal pizza. Taste wise it’s close to NYC pizza except the crust is very thin. I ordered the extra large with pepperoni and extra cheese and a few slices in I added mozzarella sticks. I LOVE CHEESE! It was delicious but I couldn’t finish it all. It was very greasy because of the pepperoni. But that’s I how I like it. ’ll be having pizza for breakfast. 😋
Franco N — Google review
We don’t get to NJ often but when we do, we are making a stop (or two) at Pete and Elda’s. My husband grew up being a Vic’s guy but as an outsider I was immediately on team P&E. We went twice while in the area last week and it was perfect as always. I’ve been researching how to make that thin crust and I’m going to try to copycat a Pete and Elda’s pie. Both times we had the same server and she was great! From a sausage and onion to a pepperoni to a cheese, you can’t go wrong! The wings were good too. That was a first but after eating pizza four days in a row, I needed a little bit of a break. Looking forward to next time!

Great thin crust pizza, tasty and cooked just right. Wings and mozz sticks were good, and beer came out nice and cold. Good service too. Will be back.

if i could give this place 0 stars don’t think for a second i wouldnt!! i was looking forward to a night of fun, pizza, and friends, but boy was i wrong. this place is famous for its pizza pie challenge where you claim a neat tshirt each month for finishing one of their tasty pies. our server has to be their employee of the year because nothing got past her. i was with 2 of my buddies from high school who are boys from the football team so they finished it very quickly. i had scraps left on my tray because i didn’t want to get sick. when our server brought my friends their shirts she only came with 2!! there were 3 of us mind you! she said due to the few scraps in my plate that i wouldn’t be able to get a shirt. WHO DOES THAT!! this place allows you to buy the shirt so i don’t understand what the issue was. complete waste of a 30 minute trip and a completely unnecessary experience. i’ll be dining elsewhere when i want to grab a slice when watching the nfl games!

This is one of the places we drive by almost everyday and didn’t think much of but we were missing out! We just popped in for a late lunch, every bite was incredible. Everything was seasoned to absolute perfection. The best waffle fries we’ve ever had in our lives! Somehow even their tartar sauce was seasoned deliciously. Our server Katie was an absolute delight and just added to the incredible experience. Definitely adding this place to our regular rotation!

The atmosphere and service were spectacular. Mario waited on our table and was very nice and helpful, but the food was not what we expected. We ordered several dishes and it was low in salt. We ordered Mac and Cheese for our little girl and they didn't taste the best (my daughter tried them and didn't want to eat them). The Broccoli and Cheese soup was my favorite. The Lava Cake dessert was spectacular! Super delicious!! And the drinks were great! The space feels very nice and you have a good time.

Charlie’s Ocean Grill is fantastic! The oceanfront setting is beautiful and creates the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing meal. The seafood dishes are fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, and the menu has plenty of options for everyone. The staff is attentive, friendly, and makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Whether it’s a casual lunch, dinner with friends, or a special occasion, Charlie’s Ocean Grill is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Food both looked nice and tasted good. Good portion sizes and the drinks were typical size. Soup came out very hot and meals were warm. Friendly staff and clean place. Had the froze, spicy Bermuda fish soup, and shrimp ravioli.

Definitely will be returning. I loved the atmosphere. Right on the beach. Food was delicious, fresh, well seasoned. My parents enjoyed their margaritas the organic agave really added a nice touch.

They seemed to have been short staffed or something because there was a wait and not every table was filled. Our guests arrived before us and put our names down and they were told they only had outdoor tables which we wanted anyways. They sat us down at an indoor table and we had to ask what happened to the outdoor only tables? She moved us and every table seemed to be filled with guests. Our service was very slow as it took quite a while for even drinks to come out and we didn’t get a chance to order yet. As this is happening most of the tables outside are clearing up. Appetizers came out and we were well past finished before our main courses came out and it seems to be getting emptier in the restaurant. The drinks were good and the food fairly good as well. The sweet potato fries could’ve been cooked longer. This is my third time here and every time has been quite pleasant. It was a holiday and quite busy all over the Jersey shore.

I have it a 2 a cross the board cause they do have some good dishes. The problem is they need people who know how to cook them and care-,whatever you if u like your steak or burger, medium, rare or less do not order it here they do not know what medium rare is. They only know what medium well is, usually I'll eat it but one time the burger was just burnt to a crisp and I sent it back and it came back raw as raw could be so I sent it back and if you can imagine the manager fought with me on it and I was polite considering first I was serve a hockey puck then I was served an animal probably still mooing. And their burger special don't bother if you want a cheeseburger and fries it's more money than the regular special because somehow they charge four dollars for a slice of very small cheese. I gave it to For service because yet I've had a lot of good servers. I've also been not waited on and then the best is spoken rudely too by the manager. Atmosphere again, I gave it a two. It's not bad it hasn't been changed really in years and if you wanna have a conversation on a Friday night, don't go there. The band is so loud. You can't even hear yourself think not that they're bad so if you wanna listen to a band they have some good music But if you wanna talk to the person you're eating with do not go there. I often wonder why I go back there when I have a 40% chance of being satisfied I guess for the area of view it's reasonably priced and usually not a wait cause it's not too busy everso if you're not looking for a great meal, you could go here

The service was great, our waitress was wonderful. The lobster tacos and old bay fries were delicious, but the fried fish taco had watery slaw and the garlic mashed potatoes tasted like plain dry flake instant potatoes. $60 for two people for lunch, not terrible for right other beach

The Washington Inn & Wine Bar is an elegant American restaurant located in a Victorian plantation house, offering a sophisticated dining experience. The menu features fresh seafood, locally-sourced produce, and inventive twists on traditional dishes. Guests can savor appetizers like chilled shrimp with tropical fruits or roasted mushroom soup, followed by main courses such as seafood cioppino and crab cakes. The restaurant's historic charm adds to the ambiance, with options to dine in the formal dining room or on the charming screened-in porch.
We had an 8:30 reservation and arrived a bit early. Right away, the host let us know we’d be seated closer to our reserved time and invited us to relax at a bar table. A bar waiter quickly took our drink order, and we were seated right on time. The hostess even mentioned they saved us a lovely window seat, which was such a thoughtful touch. Everything we ordered was fantastic—from the oysters Rockefeller to the crab cakes and cioppino. Service was attentive and warm throughout. A high-caliber dining experience in every way, absolutely worth a visit.

We recently dined at Washington Inn and were seated in the wine cellar, a small and cozy space with just three tables. It's a unique, intimate setting that some may find charming, though it might not be for everyone. If you're looking for a quiet, tucked-away experience, it's definitely a cool spot. Service was attentive and professional throughout the evening, which we appreciated. However, the food didn’t quite live up to the high expectations set by the atmosphere and price point. The crab cakes were a letdown, fried and packed with shredded lump meat, lacking the delicate texture and flavor you’d hope for, especially being down the shore. The rack of lamb, while cooked nicely, consisted of only four small lollipop chops and didn’t feel like a good value. On a brighter note, the flounder special was excellent, fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. Cocktails were also a highlight of the evening. Overall, Washington Inn has a nice ambiance and solid service, but for a more consistently satisfying dining experience in Cape May, I’d recommend Peter Shields instead.

Easily one of my top five dining experiences ever - better than some Michelin-starred restaurants I’ve enjoyed. Even their simple garden salad was extraordinary. Do not pass on the Mediterranean sea bass - the fish was perfectly prepared, and the salsa verde was one of the most complex, unctuous sauces I’ve ever had. The flavors of the sorbet were so concentrated and clear - I couldn’t stop eating them, especially the mango. The service was outstanding, and the price performance was excellent. This was a transcendent meal - can’t wait to come back.

Went here for the first dinner as a married couple after our wedding. No less than four wedding guests screamed and said “you’re gonna have a great time” when we told them where we were headed for dinner the following day. We did in fact, have a great time! The caviar is some of the best I’ve ever had and we were treated to the fabulous story of how the farmers met working at the Inn. It was a picturesque restaurant, absolutely incredible service and a memory I will treasure forever. Can’t wait to go back!

I have to give full credit to my besties hubby for planning all the reservations while we stayed in Cape May earlier this summer. We dined at Washington Inn on our first night & it was fantastic. Very elegant but never obnoxious. Highly recommend reservations. The food & service were beyond expectations. Huge dining areas & the staff were all so very kind. Located on a lovely street that begs to be walked after dinner. We loved every moment of this dining experience!

We had the most amazing time at the Inn wine bar with bartenders Robin and Justin. They gave us all of the local tips and made us feel like regulars, even though it was our first time. We’ve already taken them up on their recommendations and it’s made our stay in Cape May so special! We can’t wait to come back

Restaurant
The Chicken or the Egg in Beach Haven is a vibrant 24/7 diner known for its signature Chegg chicken wings in 17 different sauces. The funky decor and casual dress code of tank tops and flip-flops make it a perfect spot to kick into vacation mode on LBI. This popular eatery offers a variety of foods for every meal, including stuffed omelets, eggwiches, flavorful peanut butter pancakes, jumbo wings, and extra-thick milkshakes.
Maddie took great care of us! Quick service and amazing food. Eggs, chicken, waffles were all delicious.

Had breakfast at The Chicken or the Egg, and it was fantastic! The portions were generous, and the menu had plenty of creative options that made it tough to choose just one thing. I went with an omelet that was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming, capturing the laid-back vibe of the Jersey Shore. Service was quick, even with the morning crowd. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a great breakfast spot in Beach Haven!

Chegg breakfast is a beachside legend for a reason. I had the crabby omelet and it was pure coastal comfort—rich, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The vibe is laid-back and lively, with friendly service and big portions that hit the spot after a morning stroll. Expect a wait, but it moves fast and it’s totally worth it. A must-stop on LBI.
Joseph I — Google review
Man I love this place. I came back here after almost a decade hiatus because I remember loving their wings, and they still hit the spot. I got the beesting (breaded) which were a perfect mild-med buffalo with a hint of sweetness to cut into the spice. The breaded option has a heavier coating than your classic wing, but adds a nice crunch if you don't mind some extra breading (which also holds more oil from the fryer). The boneless 'wings' are essentially chicken tenders, thinner in style. The atmosphere inside is an absolute vibe with all the decor, comic style tabletops and menus, etc. We also ordered the New England clam chowder simply because it was award winning -- excellent, although ngl I've had better in other spots on the island. Overall, really no complaints, and I will definitely come back here again next time I visit LBI (now living out of state).
Doug F — Google review
This place used to be amazing. It's kind of gone downhill and the prices keep going up. Wings are not crispy. Wraps are kind of soggy overall not what it used to be. It's kind of like a fallen hero but used to be amazing 10 years ago and 20 years ago, probably its peak but overall still OK for you know if you're late night food eating

The Chicken or the Egg is a family favorite every time we’re in LBI. The food is excellent with something for everyone — our kids love the fun breakfast options and milkshakes, while my wife and I can never pass up the wings and sandwiches. Portions are generous and the quality is always top notch. What really makes it special is the atmosphere. It’s casual, welcoming, and perfect for families. Even when it’s busy, the staff is friendly and efficient, and they always make us feel at home. If you’re in Beach Haven with your family, this is one of those must-stop places you’ll keep coming back to. We can’t recommend it enough!

Located on the south edge of Atlantic City, the Knife and Fork Inn is a historic upscale eatery that has been serving steaks, chops, and seafood since 1912. The restaurant offers an extensive wine list to complement its classic dishes like Lobster Thermidor.
An amazing dinner! We appreciated everything and the food and service were great! Our server was very attentive and their recommendations when we asked were on point. You are dining in the Prohibition era in this restaurant and if your a history buff it only accentuates the dining experience. I felt as if at home with the quaint and comfortable vibe. Everything we ordered from cocktails to desert was electric to our taste buds. I have dined here several times including Thanksgiving and keep coming back!

The steak is amazing. That is without a doubt. Do avoid the lobster. They claim they make it in a specific style and they have been doing it for the past 100 years and no one else can do it…well no one else does it because you don’t get chewy lobster… just get the steak and have a good time! Win and lose some money! We had a great waiter and it’s a cool joint

We started off at the bar with half price appetizers at Happy hour 4-6. Got the oysters and the fried mozzarella. Delicious! Great beer on tap and cocktails. Awesome attentive bartender. We reserved our table for 6:15 but got there at 5 - a good idea since u can partake in the appetizer specials at the bar and then head to the table. We had filet and of course lobster thermidor. Both were great! Great service - wine was excellent. A great treat knowing what u are in for $ wise. I will go back again next year for or our 1st wedding anniversary! If you can, for a table for two, ask if there is something more private. No biggie but the table next to us pretty much was on top of us.

We went for a birthday dinner back in August. Our reservation was for 8:15, but we didn’t get seated until almost 8:40. Once we were settled, though, the experience improved. The corner we were seated in was very dimly lit, which might make reading the menu a little difficult for some. We started with the calamari appetizer, which was delicious. For my entrée, I had the seafood risotto—and it was sooo good. Drinks were well-made, and our server was excellent: attentive, friendly, and helpful with recommendations. Overall, aside from the longer wait to be seated, it was a really good experience.

Had an amazing dinner at KNF. It was my first time eating here at it came highly recommended. I enjoyed everything I had. I started with the mixed greens salad, had the 12oz filet with spinach and lobster risotto as sides for the table. EVERYTHING was delicious. I will be back! Our server was knowledgeable and personable. It was a bit loud as the drinks flowed and kicked in at all the tables on the 2nd floor. By the end of the night, we couldn't hear each other from across the table.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. we were in luck we had this appetizer..ribeye capping. It was absolutely delicious I've never had had such a melt in your mouth piece of steak in my life. I still can't shut up about it lol our dinner was perfect and keep in mind when you get a side from here. It's definitely enough for two people it's a full plate side (family style like) the rosemary carrots Delish the potatoes we're good but could have been a little more crispy and have a lil more seasoning/flavor the mushrooms were perfect as well . I was so full I didn't have dessert unfortunately.next time for sure ! Our waiter was fantastic. I love that! He even gave us a little schooling on what ribeye capping is, what the real name is and he gave us the whole little history about it. I thought that was very cool 😊. Worth every penny ... Think about it if you're willing to spend $50 to $60 a person at longhorn's, Texas Roadhouse you might as well go to knife and fork and get a better service and a better quality of meat as well . Spend the extra and come to knife and fork . And if you have a chance to get that. Ribeye capping get it !!

Phenomenal establishment with vintage furnishings and photo memorabilia. Went for happy hour Thursday AND Friday nights. • Seafood sampler for two: fantastic value, super fresh lobster claw and tail, the most exquisite sweet herbal slice sauce • Duck leg confit: golden crisp skin, juicy roasted meat • Calamari: piping hot crispy crust covering ultra soft squid rings • Mosel riesling: easy pleasant white wine with pear, mineral notes Second visit • Rum strawberry elixir cocktail: reshreshingly citrusy berry taste • Kobe beef sliders: interesting sampling of toppings from sweet caramelized onion to gift cheese sauce to a mustard-Worcester type sauce • Steak skewers: savory crispy onion and mushrooms garnish with tender beef • Avocado crab terrine: ultra luxe avocado mash, crab lumps, creme fraiche with pico de gallo and two slightly spicy sauces and chips

Chef Vola's is a long-standing Italian restaurant in New Jersey that offers traditional, homestyle Italian dishes in a charming setting. The restaurant has been serving classic red sauce dishes for over 100 years and is known for its veal parm and pasta. It is a small, intimate, and exclusive dining spot that often caters to regulars, offering a literal home-cooked meal experience in a single-family home setting.
First time here, and I heard so much about this place. I absolutely love the service, their staff is on top of everything. They replace your silverware instantly, they fill your water before its halfway, the waiters and waitresses are very knowledgeable. The food is fantastic, I have never had a veal parm taste this delicious. And the peanut butter pie is to die for! The owner is also hands on, greeting us at the door. Making sure every little thing is just right. The waiter, Stevie, top notch... ask for him, you won't be disappointed.

Great spot in AC, lots of history and culture here - food was excellent! Reservation process is very difficult, especially for peak times and season (Spring/Summer). Our server was an awesome guy - affable and experienced. The host team works well together, bringing out all of the courses and cleaning up. If you enjoy traditional Italian food, pasta, or veal you should dine here at least once in your life.

I hadn't been here in a long time, but went this past week. It was my dad's first time, and he was very pleased with everything! We were seated upstairs inside which offers the most space so I was happy about that. (If you're seated in the original basement dining room you get the full old school experience but it's tight there!) Food does take a while, but I'd rather that than be rushed. Our server Tommy was amazing too...no pressure from him in any way but still attentive to our needs. We got to chat with him a lot at the end of our meal which was great as he was into a lot of the same things as us and very genuine.

The food was fantastic! We had wonderful service from start to finish — from the entrées to the desserts. A great bonus is that it’s BYOB, which makes the experience even better. The chicken Parmesan was excellent, the pasta was homemade and perfectly cooked, and both desserts we tried were delicious. Our server was very professional and attentive. The restaurant has a warm, old-school Italian feel — a true hidden gem in the city.

The restaurant features a large waterfront patio with picnic tables and a rooftop bar that provides panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Their menu includes a variety of seafood, sandwiches, snacks, salads, and summer favorite drinks such as Aperol Spritz and Cold Brew Mudslide.
Place had live music upstairs and the plenty of tables with lighting. Ordered a few beers and some food. Got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and it was decent. Not very spicy and the fries were good. My cousin ordered the Clam Chowder and really liked it. I would come again if the opportunity arose.

We went for the ocean view. Atmosphere good, although the music was a bit loud. Service was decent. Server was polite and friendly. The food really needs some work. I ordered a $30 salad that was overpriced for the quality. It looked pretty but the seafood was incredibly dry. Iced tea was old. My husband said his lobster roll was ok.

Place is at the end of Beach feels a little bit like you're on the outskirts. Nice patio. Check out the picture of a bowl of clam chowder with a small spoon in the bowl to give you a sense of scale. Was more like a cup. Chicken caesar salad tasted like Ken's Caesar dressing with cold chicken on top. I never ever send anything back but I had to. They're really nice and the manager came out to ask if there's anything they could do. Waitstaff seemed new and inexperienced and was really nice but super slow on getting our check and trying to pay to get out of there. The burger the wings and the french fries were all really mediocre. Insert your favorite Fleetwood Mac song here as the soundtrack... "Never..."

Harry's was very good for our first time! We are already planning to come back. The only negative at all was that all of our food was too salty. Mostly just a little. Except the fried flounder. This fish itself was delicious but the batter was way too salty. Clam chowder was very, very good and had lots of clams. $10 a bowl seemed steep, but after having it, I did not feel cheated at all. Crab cake sandwich was delicious! Key lime pie also delicious. Also the restaurant is beautiful! Apart from the soup, prices were very reasonable compared to other nice restaurants in the Wildwood/Cape May area. Go visit Harry's, and maybe just ask for light salt to be safe!

CAPE MAY: @harryscapemay is one of the most fun and happening dog friendly places we have been to in our travels and we highly recommend visiting for a great meal, fabulous drinks, and oceanfront views! Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed in the tented outdoor patio area and the rooftop! We were so fortunate to be visiting during the fall and got to experience their “Boo Bar,” a Halloween themed pop-up experience with specialty drinks, spooky decor, and guests wildly dressed up for the costume contest. It was so much fun! Check out their website and social media to stay up to date on other events throughout the year. Harry’s is open daily for lunch and dinner and also has breakfast on the weekends. Enjoy elevated American-style food and locally sourced seafood.

My hubby and our friends were trying to find a spot to eat dinner around 930 at night and Harry's was one of the only places still open. We checked out the menu and figured we would try it out. I'm sooooo glad we did! The atmosphere was great! Very chill but also fun. We got roof top seating which was PERFECT! They had live music playing downstairs but in that moment it was just too loud for us so the roof was perfect. It was so nice up there. Our server, Jordan, went above and beyond. He was super kind and helpful. Jordan carried some great conversations with us, too, and made us feel welcomed. He had great suggestions and was super attentive! The food we ordered was SCRUMPTIOUS!! Absolutely amazing!! Everything was cooked and prepared to perfection! That Hot Crab dip and chips were my FAVE!!! We will Absolutely come back to Harry's as we visit yearly for our hubby/wife get away with no kids lol All in all, we HIGHLY recommend this establishment!!

McLoone's Pier House is a casual American restaurant and event venue located on the beach in Long Branch, NJ. The restaurant has an oceanfront pier where guests can sit to enjoy views of the waves. There is also a dining room with picturesque windows overlooking the beach. The menu features seafood items, and there is also a full bar available.
My husband and I were married at McCloone's Pier House on October, 11, 2025 and it was the best decision I have ever made. Our wedding was in the Atlantic Room and the views are amazing from every angle. From the very beginning Rachel (the event coordinator) and her team were very easy to deal with, explained all the options they had to offer within our budget and the packages were very reasonable. This was my first wedding (later in life) and knew exactly what I wanted and they delivered! Rachel and her team were extremely responsive and accommodating through every stage of the planning process. When the day arrived everything was beyond our expectations and our wedding turned out absolutely beautiful. Rachel and Nelson were wonderful and made sure all our personal touches were placed exactly how I wanted them, etc. Rachel assisted in so many other ways as well and honestly don't know what we would have done without her. The food was delicious and all my guests were raving about what a beautiful wedding it was. The entire staff was amazing and devoted so much attention to us and I was beyond grateful since there was so much going on with pictures, etc. I didn't want the day to end, but when it did, Rachel even helped us to the car with all our belongings and flowers, etc. I can't wait to go back to celebrate our first anniversary next year and would definitely recommend McCloone's for any type of event. It was the best day of my life and thank you to everyone at McCloone's for making it a day we will never forget.
Suzon K — Google review
For our Valentines Day dinner, we decided to head to Mcloone’s with some friends to celebrate. For appetizers we ordered the crab cakes, meatballs and calamari. The meatballs and crab cakes were both delicious. The calamari was okay, I think it lacked the flavor and was pretty chewy. For our meals, we ordered the salmon which was great, and a surf and turf option off of their specials menu. The steak & shrimp was great, I just wasn’t the biggest fan of the risotto. Overall, great experience!
Christopher F — Google review
We were not fans of the food that we ordered: cauliflower was super soft (oversteamed) with little flavor, cheese and cracker selection was very cheap (monster, cheddar, pepper jack), and guacamole was too spicy for our taste). The water view is questionable as there is a think glass covering the actual view. On the positive side though, we ended up getting a water view table without a reservation on Saturday night around 7:30 PM. We were grateful for that but then, as I said, you can’t really see the water because of the glass in front of the window. One additional thing is that it was so so loud that it was hard to hear each other.

Went to the beach for the day and stopped here with some friends before heading home. The restaurant is really large with both indoor and outdoor seating. There are water views from both outside and inside. The restaurant caters to mixed diets, however most of the vegan dinner options are on the sushi menu. I had sushi for lunch so I didn’t want it again for dinner. They do have a veggie burger on the lunch menu, but weren’t willing to make it for dinner due to the busyness of the restaurant. I’m not sure what’s difficult about making a veggie burger, but I’m not in the restaurant business. I ordered the pier house salad minus the feta, the roasted cauliflower and the gluten free vegan chocolate dessert. I added the cauliflower to the salad to give the salad more heft. The salad was good, but nothing to write home about. The dessert on the other hand was delicious. I ate half there and the other half at home. I highly recommend if you like chocolate.

Mcloone's was not our original choice for brunch but everything worked out. First time to be in this restaurant and enjoyed everything. The ambience/view was fantastic. The service was excellent! McLoone's is a great spot to go if you're looking to be on the beach for lunch or dinner. The appetizers are very fairly priced and they give you a good amount. The service is also great! Overall, it's a great option if you're on the fence for where to eat and especially if you want to eat outside.

I recently went to this restaurant on a Saturday evening. Immediately upon arrival my group of 3 was seated outside despite it being a Saturday night and it being quite busy, which was a plus. Within five minutes of being seated, our waitress greeted us and we placed our orders for both drinks and food. We had ordered a Bloody Mary, the tequila bucket, and a spicy spritz to drink. For food we ordered the shrimp tempura roll, calamari, the Cajun chicken rigatoni, and the burger. Our waters came out fairly quickly and so did the food. The first to arrive was the calamari which we received within 10 minutes of ordering. At this time, we had yet to receive any cutlery, napkins, or plates. When we began eating the calamari, we noticed it was rubbery, cold, and seemed as though it was frozen and microwaved. We were extremely disappointed in the taste and only ate about half the plate between the three of us. The shrimp tempura roll came out next and my two other guests ate it. They stated it tasted funky as if the shrimp had freezer burn. About 15 minutes later our mains came out. We still had yet to receive cutlery and so we requested it from the waitress and she promptly brought it out. The pasta was subpar, it wasn’t great but it wasn’t horrible. It was basically a chicken Alfredo which didn’t seem as advertised and the chicken lacked flavor. The burger, as showcased in the photo above came with cheese, a patty, and bacon jam. As you can see the burger lacked bacon jam and the amount was ridiculous for the price that we would be paying. We mentioned it to the server and showed her the amount. She stated that that wasn’t right and she would be back. The guest who ordered the burger ordered it medium and mentioned that it was raw, the inside was pink. At this point about 15 minutes had passed since we ordered the burger and a food runner brought out a small container of congealed, cold bacon jam. The guest who ordered the burger was very disappointed and mentioned to the waitress that it seemed raw to which she removed it from the check. Overall the view was nice, the food came out quick, and the waitress was kind but the price for this food is actually ridiculous for the way it was presented and tastes. I know I can get better food at any diner and it be a quarter of the price. There are so many better restaurants in the area and I highly recommend checking out those spots before ever coming here. They really need to focus on quality control, unless all meals taste like this. I was extremely disappointed and definitely won’t be back. Server was great though.

Our server, Travis, was extremely attentive and kind. The roasted cauliflower was disappointing. Typically, roasted cauliflower is served as the head and I saw other pics that had it that way. Made me feel like this was thrown together. Everything else was great!

Italian restaurant
Stella Marina Restaurant & Bar is a trendy Italian dining option located on the boardwalk, offering a diverse wine list and the opportunity to enjoy ocean views from its patio seating. Despite its attractive dining room and fantastic view of the Atlantic, recent reviews have highlighted concerns about declining food quality and cleanliness. However, Stella Marina is known for its rustic Italian dishes and extensive drink menu, featuring classic cuisines such as seafood, pizza, pasta, paninis, and contorni.
My boyfriend and I went during happy hour, we sat at the bar and Marissa our bartender was amazing. We were visiting from Florida and she was so helpful in recommending places to eat and or visit. Other than that Marissa made us some great drinks and provided excellent service. The bread they offer with the parm. Cheese, olive oil and red pepper flakes is sooo good. The pizza we ordered was delicious, the calamari was perfect, not too much flour and/ or overly fried. I definitely will come again if ever in Asbury again.

My husband and I celebrated my mother in laws 50th here and the food was delicious! Indoor and outdoor dining available right on the water. Dinner menu served all day Sunday! We enjoyed the mussels and octopus as starters and some steaks and swordfish for entrees. Highly recommend! Thank you to Michael for great, personable service!

Such a great spot on the Boardwalk with amazing views of the beach. Zack at the bar is such a cool guy and gives great service. I had the meatballs and the orecchiette pasta with the meat ragu and everything was so flavorful and came out popping hot. They have spectacular desserts here too. I recommend the olive oil cake and the zabaglione custard (which comes with a plate full of cookies and fruit for dipping). This place has multiple levels and hosts a lot of parties and events too!

Lovely service sitting right on the boardwalk!! Sunday sauce was so very good. Had it split to share and the portion was still huge. Flavors were very good. And the sausage was my favorite. Really enjoyed.

Went on a Thursday night in the fall. No wait and easy parking. Food was incredible. Chicken Parm, cavatelli, and calamari were all top notch. My old fashioned was really good too! Our server Dominic (I think that was his name) was on top of things adding to the enjoyment of the night. I wish I had photos of the food but I didn't stop once that plate hit the table.

Of course! Here’s the updated version with the name changed: ⸻ ⭐☆☆☆☆ Very Disappointing Experience The service was a letdown from the start. Daniel, our server, seemed uninterested and unhappy to be there. He wasn’t attentive at all. The drinks weren’t great, and the shrimp didn’t taste fresh. Despite the poor experience, we still left a 30% tip — but honestly, it wasn’t worth it. Definitely won’t be coming back.

Nestled along the picturesque Manasquan River, The Wharfside Seafood & Patio Bar is your go-to spot for a laid-back dining experience that celebrates classic seafood dishes. With stunning water views and ample outdoor seating, this venue invites you to unwind while enjoying a locally inspired menu paired with creative cocktails. Whether you're in the mood for fresh lobster or local catches, The Wharfside offers an array of delectable options that cater to every palate.
Great ambience, even inside, if you love being by the water! Our server, Nick, was kind, patient and attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meals with the highlights being the Apricot Chicken, crab-stuffed flounder, the lobster bisque & the volcano shrimp. Side note: the Caesar salad came with a cute presentation but the leaves are left long and you have to cut up the salad yourself. (See pic) I didn’t mind it but my husband wasn’t a fan of having to do that. Wasn’t a big deal, just worth noting.

A new find for date night with me and my husband. Absolutely love the outside dining the view of the water ideal. The food the stand outs the zeppole starter delightful, the classic ceasar salad perfect summer salad, the oysters outstanding the best oysters hands down me and my husband ever had. Great experience we will be back again.

I don't know how I never came here before. This place is absolutely amazing. I stopped in for a quick lunch over the Labor Day weekend. When I walked in I got a wonderful greeting by the hostess and she was nice enough to accommodate me for outdoor dining as I am a solo diner. I got such a lovely view of the water and it was so nice seeing the boats go by. My server was Ariana and she was friendly and attentive. I wasn't too hungry so I opted for a lighter meal so I got the orange salmon and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. I also loved the zeppole starter where I ended up eating the whole basket. Menu options here are great and are priced accordingly. The restaurant itself inside and out is beautiful, clean and very spacious. They also have plenty of onsite parking. Overall, I was very pleased by my first experience and I will definitely come back here again in the future....😋

I’ve been to the wharfside several times and the experience is pretty consistent. Lovely atmosphere, good service, good drinks, but lackluster food. I’ve had my share of overcooked flavorless steaks, undercooked seafood, and lobster rolls with shells throughout. How does a seafood restaurant consistently screw up seafood? My boyfriend said his lobster roll was so chewy it was getting stuck in his teeth. While the prices are on par with other restaurants in the area, I feel you could really get a lot more for your money elsewhere.

Jenny didn’t only give amazing service; the restaurant closed at 9pm, she said I’ll take that table! @ 8:45pm when the host was reluctant to seat any more tables. We ordered appetizers, entrees, desert with espresso and everything was perfect. Thank you for being an all star Jenny!

Came here visiting from Dallas. No reservations accepted. Waited about 40 minutes on a Friday evening. Requested patio near water. Great views! Started with the sesami ahi tuna which was a bit overcooked. Good flavor but just seared way too much. I ordered the 3lb lobster which was humongous and exactly what I wanted! You can't get lobsters that big in Texas (no surprise there) so I had to take advantage of the opportunity! I barely finished but thoroughly enjoyed myself. The place got really busy but it was a fun and scenic seafood experience. Highly recommend.

Excellent oysters!!! Andrew at the bar made some perfect cocktails and was fun and friendly. We ALL were pleased with our dinners. We recommend the crab stuffed flounder, the seafood marinara and the warm lobster rolls. All of these dishes were fresh and delicious. Donna our waitress was working hard, but she was very attentive and friendly. The fiod came out hot and fast. The views from the dining room are superb. This is a must visit if you'd like delicious authentic fresh seafood.

🌊 Bahrs Landing Famous Seafood – A Scenic Spot Worth Visiting I recently visited Bahrs Landing in Highlands, NJ, and overall, I had a great experience. The location is gorgeous—right by the water, which makes for a lovely backdrop while you dine. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the seafood didn’t disappoint: fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. It was a bit crowded when we went, so the service was understandably slower than ideal. But even with the delay, the atmosphere and good vibes made up for it. This is the kind of place where you don’t mind lingering a little longer. Would I go back? Absolutely. It’s got that classic Jersey Shore charm and some delicious bites to match.

We had lunch here on a sunny Sunday and found this place to be perfect for seafood and cocktails. The staff is super friendly and understands that when you arrive on a hot day you are best offered a glass of water with ice. The menu is rich and seamless food is all we had. The drinks menu is also great. The cocktails ate prepped with attention to detail. The tables were clean and maintained hygiene standards. What deserves a special mention? The view is perfect here, would definitely love to try during sunset. What could be better? The cutlery could be cleaned properly before wrapping with towel. We found some stains.

Overall a great experience and can’t wait to go back.

My daughter made reservations for Friday night dinner. Party of 4. We ran into friends at the bar! My daughter reminded me that we actually ordered take from the first week we moved to Toms River. What amazing feel good vibes from our Server Dave!! Dave was fantastic! He checked in on us, cleared the table, replenished our water and poured our wine. BYOB Can I request Dave be our server when we come back ?? Food was yummy! Love the ginger salad, spicy rock & tempura shrimp and the veggie Lo Mein. Parking on site. Constant flow of customers. Notice lots of take out orders too. Highly recommend.

This was our first time eating at Xina, and both my wife and I were blown away at how good everything was. I can honestly say the sushi is the freshest, melt in your mouth sushi we have ever had (and we both eat sushi often). The "Out of Control" Roll was amazing. The baked class with bacon and Japanese bechemel sauce was also amazing. I took a chance ordering the hanger steak special which was cooked perfectly and had a great spicy pineapple habenaro sauce. The service was great as well. We will definitly be returning here (and often).
Craig T — Google review
Xina was a good experience. You get to choose between a lovely view of the sea or a seat at the sushi bar (watching the sushi chefs at work is mesmerizing). Either way, you get great atmosphere here. Service was a bit slow, but to be expected in a place as busy as this. The food was great but not perfect. The lobster was not as fresh as we had hoped it’d be. The filet mignon was a bit bland, but cooked to tender perfection. The pork fried rice was also on the blander side but still good. The fried chicken dumplings were amazing! Overall I’d definitely come back and try more items.

I had an incredible experience at Xina in New Jersey! From the appetizers to dessert, everything was absolutely delicious—every bite felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service really stood out. A special mention goes to Archil, who made the evening even better with his attentiveness and warm personality. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves, which truly elevated the entire dining experience. Xina is definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for amazing food and exceptional service. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Great restaurant! Free parking! Prices higher than your typical meal, but reasonable for a nice sushi restaurant Service was great, atmosphere was clean, food was delicious, lo mein was tasty and the spider roll and coconut shrimp rolls were amazing. The spring rolls and dipping sauce was flavorful
Nforlini8 — Google review
Second time we ate here and I have mixed reviews. Service is consistently excellent and attentive. Prices are moderate to high for what it is. So far I’ve had the lobster special which was very bland and the General Tsos chicken which I did not care for ; the preparation- large cubed chunks, not very crispy and again, bland. If you enjoy Cantonese style you’d probably enjoy it more. If you enjoy schechuan style more you will not like it. JMHO. Appetizer Rock shrimp are ok and plentiful. Kobe sliced beef appetizer ok but expensive. The orange beef was the best entree by far. BYOB option is nice. Portions are plentiful on the entrees but to me, bland . The sushi which I do not eat appears to be excellent & those in my group who had it enjoyed it and said it was very fresh & flavorful. Atmosphere is ok but loud/ years ago this was a steakhouse and not much has been done to the inside except whitewash but it is clean. I went because the group I was with wanted to go but if it were my choice I would probably not return.

Everything we had was excellent and very affordable. It gets crazy packed so get there before they open or expect a little wait

Well, this place is really hopping in the summer - that's for sure. We went for lunch this time. Such a great plan. There was no wait time! That is amazing all by itself. Sat in the back room. It was nice n breezy. Wait staff was friendly. Food came out pretty quickly. Crab cakes were good, fried clam fell short - over 1/2 of the 'clams' were little bits n micro small crunchy breading pieces. Quite disappointing. Ah well. Plenty of other places to go for seafood.

Was visiting the area with family Excellent choice for dinner. Crowded inside, but seating was comfortable. Limited parking area. Service was quick and the servers were attentive to our needs. Can't say enough about the food. You couldn't go wrong with anything on the menu.

1st time here. We'd heard a lot about it. All positive! The first thing I will tell you is that they are only open from 4:30 -9:30 PM and they're closed on Tuesdays. The second thing I will tell you is that they are perpetually packed! It is not at all uncommon for there to be a two hour wait. You can try the outdoor counter seating but that is packed as well. Parking is also something of an issue. The staff is amazing! Everyone had a smile and was very nice. Super efficient! It's controlled chaos for sure. I ordered a bowl of New England clam chowder that was delicious! The main course was fried shrimp and french fries. Both were excellent. I spoke to people who said they'd been coming here for 45 years and that everything they serve is wonderful. The prices are also very reasonable. All in all, 4 stars. One star off for the wait time and parking.

Red's Lobster Pot Restaurant is a beloved seafood destination nestled along the picturesque waterfront of Point Pleasant. This charming eatery captures the essence of coastal dining with its cozy indoor space and spacious outdoor patio, perfect for enjoying stunning views while savoring fresh catches. Known for its delectable offerings, Red's serves an impressive selection of classic seafood dishes, including raw oysters, clams, and their renowned lobster mac and cheese.
This is a fun place! Who doesn't like sitting waterside in Point Pleasant eating seafood. The atmosphere is most typically, surf side dining, nothing fancy and Very clean, very clean. Inside or outside dining is just what you need after a day on the beach. All staff is friendly and helpful. The food is not to he overlooked though. We had fried clams ( not typical, more elevated in taste and freshness, cold lobster rolls were wonderful and the Cesar salad was delicious. Flat iron steak special was amazing and their typical fair - steamed muscles, clams, garlic bread and others Don't disappoint. Desert -banana cream pie, key lime you name it 😋. The watermelon cocktail was fresh and delicious. Highly suggest reservations!

Treated to lunch and although I do not eat shellfish, I do enjoy fish & chips. My sister and daughter ordered the calamari and clam strips, lobster and shrimp roll, salad to share. For dessert we tried the Banana cream pie and the key lime pie. Red’s was busy and we did have a reservation. We were seated and waited 30+ minutes for the salad and clam strips and calamari to arrive. The salad was delicious and fresh. My sister and daughter gave the clam strips and calamari an 8 out of 10. Lobster and shrimp rolls & fish and chips for me. The cod was fresh and I did enjoy the fish. The fries were hot and fresh. The side of coleslaw was cold and crisp. The banana cream pie was delicious and rich; the key lime was light and not too sweet. This was a pleasant treat and if you love seafood, Red’s is for you.

Red's Lobster Pot is another great seasonal seafood restaurant in Point Pleasant that I am glad I got a chance to try out before they close for the season next month. The service and food here is fantastic. I was lucky to get a table at lunchtime as it looked busy. Gina was my server and she was so friendly and attentive. I opted to sit outside on the deck and you get such a nice view of the water and the boats going back and forth. I went with the lobster bisque (even though it was hot outside) and the lobster ravioli main course. Both were delicious and had great flavor. I loved the atmosphere of this place and the staff stays on top of making sure everything is clean. They have a good menu and everything is reasonably priced. They also have a decent sized parking lot as well. One thing to note for myself is as I was eating I saw so many lobster roll orders passing me that I know the next time I come I have to try it. All in all I definitely recommend checking this place out!

Today we ordered Lobster Bisque, Shrimp Cocktail which were too notch and then had stuffed lobster tails for son(check that MP first lol!) Blackened grouper sandwich for me, and wife had coconut shrimp all 5/5 and we are huge foodies and are quite experienced in eating !! Dessert we had the homemade key lime pie which didn't disappoint either!!

We arrived at Red's Lobster Pot around 12 pm on a weekday, and the place was mostly empty. However, they had just opened up. The place quickly filled up. The fried calamari appetizer was very tender, and I ordered the battered fish and chips as my main course. It's not like what you get in London but it was tasty. The service was good, we chose to sit outside and had a great view of the marina, and they had a small parking lot. If I recall correctly, reservations are recommended, especially for the evening.

Reds Lobster Pot was fantastic in every aspect. Despite being a busy Sunday evening we were seated prior to our reservation, given exceptional service, and served fantastic food. Our server, Jeanna, was incredibly attentive, witty, and fun despite being very busy. Chris is also another surprise, giving suggestions and just making the entire experience feel personal. I also want to give credit to every member of the staff who took plates, filled water, and performed other tasks that are often overlooked. Everyone was fast and pleasant, going far beyond the normal service provided at most restaurants. The food was amazing, served at the perfect pace, and abundant in portions. The view (as you will see) was the final touch. Can't wait to come back again, this is one of the best beach dining experiences in New Jersey and can't be missed.
John M — Google review
(1st time there was amazing) they sat us at the “VIP TABLE” A little bit of a wait (1 hour 30 minutes) but well worth it in my opinion - the surf and turf was delicious and the lobster was cooked very well. One of the better surf and turf’s around (way better than shrimp box with regard to a surf/turf) my girlfriend got the fish & chips and she loved it. Would certainly try again. - went there a week later with my parents because I was wowed with the food/service and unfortunately they messed up my mother’s steak. She asked for medium rare filet mignon but when it arrived on the plate it was barely cooked (we like red meat but this was borderline raw) we politely sent it back for it to come out minutes later with a char on the outside almost looking well done but unfortunately it didn’t look much different on the inside (still raw) from the first time they brought the steak out. From my own experience I can’t say they are consistent, but I’m Hoping this was a one time mistake as the cost of good quality food has risen.
Ronald L — Google review
August night without a reservation, so the wait was over an hour, which was understandable given the season. The staff was very friendly and welcoming once we got seated. The lobster rolls were tasty, though served on a hot dog bun (not the best we’ve ever had, but still enjoyable). Overall, it was a fun experience, and while it’s probably a one-and-done visit for us, it’s definitely worth trying if you’re in the area.

Best seafood in town, Mike's Seafood is a family tradition that's been serving up fresh seafood to locals for more than 100 years. Come enjoy Maryland crabs, shrimp, and local swordfish at the waterside tables.
Wish I could give 10+. First time here. The staff is amazing! From the fish market to the restaurant everyone just bent over backwards for me. Had the fried seafood platter for a taste of everything. The shrimp, scallops, flounder, deviled clam and crabcake were fantastic. Even stopped in the fish market and bought a pound of jumbo lump crabmeat to take home. Definitely will be back! Thank you to a wonderful staff!!!

During a recent trip along the New Jersey shore, we stopped for lunch at this delightful establishment. The food was exceptionally fresh and delicious. As a fan of clam strips, I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions here. Unlike most places that serve small strips, this restaurant offers a Clam Strip Hoagie with substantial chunks of fried, fresh clams. The portion was so large that I couldn’t finish it, which is unusual for me. My wife enjoyed the crab cake sandwich and found it equally satisfying. The staff were very friendly and attentive, enhancing our dining experience. I would definitely return.

Usually busy in the summer but the line moves fast. It’s a nice goto spot for seafood - it’s byo. I do love their fried clams. And their fried platters are all good. The steamers are great too. I tried the clam pasta (white wine sauce) this time. Meh - not a ton of flavor. If it’s hot it’s better to wait for sunset so it’ll be cooler outside. Service is always great. This night they gave us free mussels.

This special has it all! 2 nice sized lobsters, several crab leg clusters, lots of scallops, shrimp, mussels and clams! Plus sides of corn on the cob and boiled potatoes(boring), and coleslaw. Easily fed 4-6 of us!! You will get messy, but enjoy!!! 2025...got it again! The scallops were perfect, tender, buttery, yum! Souch meat in the crab legs, huge lobsters, every clam and muscle filled with a nice piece of meat. Can't stop getting this! Great price for so much food!

Mike’s Seafood never disappoints! Every time my wife and I visit Sea Isle City, it’s at the top of our list—and for good reason. The flounder topped with sautéed crab and rice was nothing short of amazing: perfectly cooked, flavorful, and fresh as it gets. It is my wife's favorite dish and is a must have. I tried the fried shrimp with a side of corn on the cob, and it was equally outstanding—crispy, juicy, and downright delicious. On top of the incredible food, the staff is always warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. You can tell they care about both the quality of the seafood and the experience of every guest. It’s rare to find a place that consistently delivers excellence across the board, but I can honestly say for coming here anually for the past 10 years that Mike’s does it every single time. If you’re in Sea Isle City and want the best seafood around, do yourself a favor and stop at Mike’s—you’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit!

Do you like seafood? Do you like eating out over the water? Do you like a good BYOB. Mike's seafood is the place for you. My family has been visiting this establishment for as long as I can remember. Its my daughter's favorite restaurant and a guaranteed visit for her and me to visit on our birthday. Everything is awesome including the old fashion birch beer in the cooler.

Talula's is a trendy pizzeria located in Asbury Park, known for its gourmet pizzas with homemade sourdough and upscale toppings. The restaurant is situated in an industrial yet inviting space, reflecting the electric and cool entrepreneurial spirit of the area. Talula's prides itself on using locally sourced and sustainable ingredients to craft mouthwatering dishes, including their famous homemade pizzas and simple fare like bread and butter.
Absolutely love Talula’s! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with that perfect Asbury Park vibe — cozy, lively, and always full of great energy. The food is incredible — their wood-fired pizzas are out of this world, and the ingredients are always super fresh. The staff is friendly and attentive, and you can tell they care about the experience. Whether you’re stopping in for brunch, dinner, or just a drink, it never disappoints. Definitely one of my favorite spots in town!

Quickly became a favorites. It's a great lunch spot, and if you appreciate a good deal, their happy hour is even better! I tried their classic turkey sandwich, and it was absolutely perfect – layered beautifully and flavored impeccably from the first bite to the last, -loved the bread! (See photo) Their pizzas are also a highlight. Each slice is loaded with flavor, boasting a wonderfully thin and crunchy crust. I love the flexibility of being able to grab just a slice for a quick bite or a whole pie to share (or not!). Highly recommend Tulula's for anyone looking for a delicious and well-priced meal in Asbury Park!

Food was fresh and delicious. Well seasoned although I would say the vegan Caesar salad was a bit salty. We ordered the elote pizza half with fennel sausage. I would order it again. My only wish is the pizza was a bit more crisp underneath. I would come to this restaurant again :)

We had heard a lot about Talula’s and gave it a try. The food was good but not as good as we thought it would be given how hard it is to get a reservation. Everything was fresh and well prepared but the rocket pizza was a bit flavorless and the vegan Caesar salad has some strange flavors. Otherwise it’s a fun place, loud and vibrant with plenty of big parties.

Great spot to hit with a small or medium group size especially. Awesome pizzas, awesome vibes, and great service. The prices might be just a tad north of “fair”, but not so crazy it would knock a star off. Last I went I got the (now discontinued, sadly) Meat Lovers and my girlfriend got the Margarita. The Beekeepers Lament was my runner up, and I hope to try that next time around. Pizza was solid, as expected. My girlfriend and I both got salads as well, though those didn’t do as well. The flavors were awesome and the vegetables used were also solid mixes but for some reason both of our salads were excessively “salty”. Not sure what happened there.

Love this place! Super chill vibes and totally worth the 45 minute wait after a beach day. The drinks were divine (Gin and Jam + La Bodega Rosa = perfection), the mozzarella sticks with gouda tomato sauce were unreal, and the pizzas blew me away! Especially the Pantera Rosa and the “Some People Call Me Maurice” with peaches on pizza (trust me, it works!). We finished with the strawberry tres leches for dessert and it was the perfect sweet ending. Highly recommend for amazing drinks, unique flavors, and unforgettable pizza.

Wowowowowowowow This place is epic and i loved it for years. Service is hit or miss. I have had great people and this visit wasn’t the best lmao the girl was giving zerooooo energy and was not helpful at all. Barely gave us any water and when I asked to pack up the leftovers she just hands me a huge amount of boxes and just left? Like okay at least help me clear the area lol. Kale caesar was great but was not very caesar like but absolutely delicious. Needs more dressing but once added it was incredible!!! The pizzas were the bombbbbbb amazing as always Baked ziti was interesting, needs more sauce but was delicious !!! Sangria was good but needs more flavahhh…. But still good

Charlies of Bay Head is a sophisticated dining destination that beautifully combines upscale seafood and American cuisine with a full bar, all set against the stunning backdrop of Twilight Lake. After overcoming challenges like Superstorm Sandy and the pandemic, this two-story gem has reopened its inviting outdoor patio for guests to enjoy. The restaurant's location along the picturesque Manasquan River makes it an ideal spot for both locals and visitors seeking a relaxing atmosphere.
The exceptional drinks, food, and atmosphere created a truly revitalizing experience. Despite being fully booked in the midst of July, the staff generously accommodated my date and me, making us feel valued with only a brief 10-minute wait.

We have been going to Charlie’s since the day they opened doors for special occasions. Our daughter graduated high school and our son 8th grade both requested reservations at Charlie’s and once again it was perfect. From the atmosphere, the sweetest and most accommodating staff, the food absolutely delicious and the location/restaurant just beautiful!! We love Charlie’s and everything about it!!

Had a fabulous time at Charlie’s. Everything was perfect. Weather, ambience, meal, wait staff and most of all my husband. It’s decorated with the nicest pumpkins which really adds to the fun. We look forward to going back soon

Great place for lunch/ dinner @ the shore. Been wanting to come for a while now, I came for lunch on a Thursday in June. The service was very nice and the staff were helpful. We did not wait long for our food, that was delicious. Amazing place, definitely worth the visit.
Mark C — Google review
Came for 11am brunch and sat in the garden on the ground floor—such a vibe! The food and cocktails were on point, and Mike, our server, was kind, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable—he even gave us an oyster masterclass! The only downside was the bartender, who seemed determined to kill the mood. If you can look past that, you’re in for a great time. The space, service (thanks to Mike!), and menu make it well worth a visit.
Rae A — Google review
So I’ll start by saying the first time I experienced Charlie’s when they first opened and I was not impressed. The upstairs area was loud, our server never offered us bread which we found out later was complimentary but not given and my meal was cold. Since then, I hadn’t been back just based on first experience, but my friend had her friend visiting from out of town so I joined hoping the experience would be better when we went on August 11. When we arrived at the front desk, they let us know we could not be seated until 9 PM. On a weekday I thought that was unusual especially based on the fact we noticed tables by the bar were not seated the whole time we were there but luckily we found three chairs together at the bar. After a few minutes of waiting, an older bartender came up to us. He had an annoyed disposition and never asked us had we been here before … offered us suggestions of food and drink … nothing of that nature. Working in the restaurant business previously myself, I know first impressions are important so that threw us off initially and we noticed as a group. After we ordered our three margaritas my friend asked for water by saying “excuse me” towards the same bartender walking by us and by the third time we definitely felt like we were being purposely ignored. I had to ask a fourth time but decided to direct to another bartender named Zach who was working. (Made conversation with us) He saved the night drinks wise and food ordering as the other bartender never asked if we had liked our drinks. The drinks were actually too strong and Zach was great to put more mix in a taller glass with ice. My friends meals were delicious however I was excited about my salad with burrata I ordered with no pistachios. For $20 and what came out I was very disappointed. For a vegetarian the salad was expensive with just a few toppings and underwhelming… no tomatoes or onion or anything additional on it. The “macerated peaches” were hard as a rock and inedible so I was of course disappointed when all the salad had was lettuce, cheese and dressing. Zach was great .. the atmosphere of the place itself was great however the initial bartender however attended more to the older crowd around us and my salad wasn’t worth the price. Will I be back a third time … maybe. I’ll give two stars around because my friends meals were good as well as Zach and the appetizer we ordered.

An excellent spot for a relaxing atmosphere, great food, and friendly service. The price is a premium but reasonable and worth it. My friends and I came by on Friday night and the food was excellent, great views by the water, and they even have a cart that can pick up/ drop off.

Nestled along the picturesque Corsons Inlet in Strathmere, The Deauville Inn has been a beloved destination since its inception as the Whelen Hotel in 1881. This iconic waterfront restaurant and sports bar offers a delightful array of traditional American seafood and meat dishes, making it a culinary hotspot for locals and visitors alike.
First experience here and WOW this place and its views are incredible. We sat right near the water and were blown away by the sunset. Chicken quesadilla was good, but I’d say you come here for the drinks/atmosphere! Server was very nice and friendly. Frozen mango margarita wasn’t great but the view was so spectacular it didn’t matter. I’d probably just order a beer next time. If you’re going through Sea Isle, stopping here is a must!

This was our first time at this resturant and the food was excellent! We waited around 20 minutes for a table on the dock area and it was a beautiful view. It was extremely crowded but was well managed for a holiday weekend. We had the peel shrimp, lobster hushpupies, deep fried snapper and seafood combo. The orange and lemon crush was refreshing and we had a very attentive server. We encountered an issue in the parking lot however the parking attendant and security team handled it in the best possible way to ensure the matter will be resolved further.

First time going here and I can't wait to go back, went around 2 PM on a Saturday and had about a 5-10 min wait, if. Drinks were good and lobster roll was outstanding. Service was also very good and our server was super friendly. 3% fee for credit card usage just an fyi bc I did not see that on the menu or listed anywhere until the final bill came.

The Deauville Inn is a true hidden gem in Strathmere. The sunset views over the bay were breathtaking. The service was exceptional, and the bartenders brought so much fun and energy to the night. I started with a perfectly made dirty martini, followed by the freshest seafood tower—honestly, the oysters were the best I’ve ever had, especially paired with a crisp glass of Sauvignon Blanc. The grilled cobia pinchos were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. I ended the evening with warm Deauville donuts and a smooth espresso, a perfect night on the water. Can’t wait to go back!

We really enjoyed our dinner here with Zach our waiter providing excellent service to our large party of eight on a busy night! The seafood boil, surf and turf and jersey platter were excellent and they have really yummy cocktails. The hostess Giuliana was very helpful! The entire experience was great! Nice views too! It was raining but they gave a beautiful outside space including a day party area - I hope to check that out, too!
Amanda G — Google review
I’m giving a very thorough review and 4 stars instead of 5 because I really liked this place but noticed some things that could be improved to make it even better. The atmosphere is great!! It was exactly the vibe we were looking for outside! I love that they have a waiting area on the beach and corn hole games. There are tv screens on the sunset deck and a Phillies game was playing. It wasn’t overly rowdy but the entire place would shout occasionally. We don’t watch sports but it wasn’t disruptive - just people enjoying the shore. It’s a place with an overall fun atmosphere. I think on certain nights it would be too much fun for us, personally, but that’s why we went on a Monday. The sandbar is not in the sand. It’s overlooking the picnic table area (which is in the sand). Next to the bar is an area for events with cabanas, picnic tables with umbrellas, corn hole, a couple of small bars which weren’t open I assume because they’re only used during events. The floor in this area was artificial turf which was gives it a lawn game kind of feel but it’s not really installed correctly so there are really obvious seams in the turf. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s on the bay so arriving at 7:30pm was perfect timing to see the sunset before being seated and still have enough light to eat once dinner got to the table. Service was friendly and knew answers to any questions we had. Prices are VERY high - seemingly overpriced yet I don’t know their food costs so who can really say. If they use a lot of local ingredients, that could be why. Compared to other seafood places they seem inflated. Inside seemed like a totally different atmosphere - I went in to find the restroom and noticed it was very dark. Dark wood-look tile floors, wood walls, wood bar, brown tin ceiling. If I didn’t know that they renovated recently I would say it looked a little dated. No big deal - just not design choices I would have made for this place. Still nice just didn’t have continuity with the outside spaces. Ok now into the menu. This is really my only complaint. We both had piña coladas that didn’t taste right. My first thought was lime juice or something was in it? They were garnished with an orange instead of pineapple. Basically, it wasn’t delicious. We only had one each. The Bavarian pretzel was served on a hanger, which was fun. My husband had calamari and I noticed he was not eating parts of it because of a sauce drizzle that he didn’t like. My scallops were delicious. I didn’t eat my mashed potatoes or zucchini, normally two of my favorite foods. The potatoes tasted “farmy” which I am guessing means they made them with farm fresh milk or cheese. I like that idea, in theory, but I don’t want to be transported to the farm and reminded of the smell of manure. The zucchini tasted extremely fishy. My husband had a burger and mashed potatoes and ate it so that must have been good although he also commented on the farmy taste in the mashed potatoes. My big comment on the menu is that they need a vegetarian entree at all three of the dining locations on property. I am a vegetarian that eats scallops but none of my other vegetarian friends would find anything to eat here besides a salad. I understand that it’s mostly a seafood place but when people go out it’s usually a mixed crowd and that factors into restaurant choices. Final comment - the website and social media do not provide enough information about the menus, the different spaces, what it’s like to go there, etc. I saw mostly the special events featured on social and a history timeline on the website. The identity of the place is a little confusing. I have some ideas regarding that but my review is long enough already. For those who made it this far - I hope this review was helpful. It’s just dinner, it’s not that serious. Go and decide for yourself!

The Diving Horse is a seasonal BYOB eatery that has been serving innovative American cuisine for six seasons. The restaurant offers an upscale-rustic atmosphere and a tight-knit kitchen crew that creates dishes built around the freshest ingredients sourced from local Jersey farms and day boat fishermen.
Our dinner here was absolutely delicious. It was one of our favorite restaurants we visited in Stone Harbor/Avalon. Everything was so fresh and the service was amazing! The cornbread was seriously one of the best things we ate our entire trip - it is a MUST! We talked about it for days.

Went for dinner while we were vacationing and it was absolutely amazing. Best roasted chicken I’ve had. The atmosphere, staff and overall presentation was by far top rated. Our server was so sweet and so friendly definitely recommend. We heard it was difficult to get a table by just walking in so we had made reservations prior to being in the area and was seated immediately, but while there so many folks walked in and was also seated promptly.

An incredible dinner at Diving Horse in Avalon! Everything from start to finish was outstanding. We started with the fresh beets appetizer, which was light, vibrant, and perfectly seasoned. The halibut with cannellini beans and saffron broth was cooked to perfection — so flavorful and beautifully presented. And we couldn’t resist the homemade Kit Kat dessert, which was the perfect sweet ending. The service was just as impressive — Travis was attentive, friendly, and made the night extra special. Diving Horse never disappoints — easily one of the best dining experiences at the shore!

Drove from the city just to get a second taste at this restaurant. Exquisite composition of scallops, to die for cornbread, refreshing salad and inventive rendition of fried green table. Happy to say this is one of the best restaurants at the shore and beyond. Excellent service with knowledge of the menu. Don’t miss out on outside dining in the beautiful courtyard.

My wife and I spent Labor Day weekend down the shore, and The Diving Horse was once again the highlight of our trip. We had first gone earlier in the summer and loved it so much that we knew we had to come back. It was just as amazing the second time. I ordered the steak, which was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. My wife had the Chicken Milanese, and it was just as incredible. The breading was light and crisp, the chicken was juicy, and the whole dish felt fresh and balanced. The atmosphere and service made it even better. The restaurant has that perfect mix of relaxed shore energy with a touch of sophistication, and the staff was so welcoming and attentive. It’s rare to find a place that makes you excited to return within the same season, but The Diving Horse has become exactly that for us. It’s a true gem and one we’ll make a tradition every summer.

The portions were very small and VERY expensive. I was with my family and some of us were still hungry after we ate our meal. We chose this restaurant based on their reviews of others who have Celiac disease and they did do a good job of making sure that the food was prepared properly. Based on the expense of the meal, I do not think I will be going back again.

We ate dinner last night and everything was fabulous!! My husband and I both had the halibut entree, gorgeous presentation and the taste was perfection! We also had the corn appetizer and the tomato salad and of course the delicious fries for the table! We will be back soon!

Dined here over what I imagine is one of their busiest weekends of the year - July 4th, and they didn’t miss a beat. Everything was absolutely outstanding. We ordered a variety of appetizers to share, and the Brussels sprouts stole the show. For my entrée, I had the bluefin tuna, and it was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Our server whose name I unfortunately forget was incredibly warm and helpful in guiding us through the menu. Don, the manager, stopped by our table and shared some great conversation and we got to learn about his extensive background in the industry (and it shows!) From the food to staff, this place is doing an exceptional job and I hope to be back soon.

This place was super disappointing. To not have a margarita special for happy hour when margarita is in the restaurant name is criminal. No frozen margs which was also little disappointing but the drinks we did get were pretty good. Our food was pretty decent minus the queso. It was extremely bland and not worth the $12 for the small amount you get. We also received that with our food instead of as an app because they forgot about it and honestly I wish we would have passed on it. Our final bill was insanely expensive for what we got overall and I don’t think we’d ever go back.

Took a day trip to Stone Harbor, NJ to see Holdyn Barder w/special guest Michael James(album Good News). While we were there we stopped for Mexican food. I got the grilled Mahi Mahi burrito, which was stuffed with rice, beans, cheese, guac AND came with a side of fries. Everyone else had a different version of a taco salad. Two had chicken, one had ground beef. All had a mountain of guac, rice, beans, lettuce, pico de gallo and a huge crispy edible shell/bowl. Honestly it was so much food and delicious! Went here for lunch. Thought we would’ve had good food given the location we were at. We got a water and it tasted like the soda hose system from Coke wasn’t cleaned. The water tasted like a blend of all the other soda lines. We ordered the crispy Birria tacos and these came out as hard shell corn tortillas, wasn’t what we thought as “crispy”. Could’ve been me but looked like the taco shells were the Ortega ones you buy at ShopRite, also was served with white paper plates and plastic silverware… Birria was the toughest meat I ever had. I think it’s premade and they just heat and serve. Waiter was great! Restaurant definitely had a musty smell to it. Just bummed I had higher expectations for that place.

Around sunset the restaurant can be a little crowded but otherwise its a great view.

Went to just get breakfast with my family while driving home. We are not from New Jersey and we were talking about the differences between Jersey and our state. An employee stocking the shelves began mocking us while we were talking quoting my sister. Which is incredibly rude. The food was mediocre like u would expect gas station food to be. The employee that filled up our gas was wonderful though, just the employee inside was really off putting.

Got gas and the attendant was way to concerned who was in my vehicle. He looked in my vehicle in my backseat as if the contents of my vehicle were of concern and asked for a receipt walked away and was leaning all over my vehicle. Maybe the gas attendant need to be refreshes on what is appropriate behavior. Not a good look

I was parked at this wawa at 2302 NJ-37, Toms River, NJ 08753. I was there maybe 3 or 4 minutes. I was getting ready to leave when a skinny employee with curly hair came out and asked me if i was going to be there a while. I told him i was leaving in a minute or 2. Instead of "Ok sir have a good day", this kid went on to tell me that if the wawa truck came and i was still there that it would just back into my bike and they don't care and their insurance wont cover it. Very rude. Especially considering the fact i had already said i was leaving in a minute. I was parked in a regular yellow line parking space with no sign saying you couldnt park there for any reason. I dont see why it was necessary to tell me that the WaWa truck will come and hit my bike and they wont care. If i was already leaving, there was no reason to add all of that. He also claimed I wasnt supposed to be parked in that spot but there was no sign or marking. So I am not sure how i couldve known that. I park there all the time. Just unnecessary rudeness. People don't know how to talk to people. "Oh youre leaving sir? Have a good day..." NOT .. "If you dont leave a wawa truck will hit your bike and we dont care." If any truck hits my bike, idc if its a wawa truck or any other truck, their insurance will be paying. To think otherwise is just ignorant of the employee and rude to even mention it for no reason.

Reading Terminal Market is a renowned indoor farmer's market that has been serving a diverse range of food, housewares, and local specialties since 1893. It offers an array of dining options including Townsend Wentz's Oloroso and Jose Garces' Amada.
Reading Terminal Market is a foodie paradise, and my visit was a perfect example of why. The variety here is unmatched—you can walk a few steps and go from authentic international dishes to Philly classics. We started with some hearty Indian food: a rich spinach and stew dish paired with flavorful rice. The rice was perfectly seasoned, and the stew had layers of spice. Of course, no trip to Philly is complete without a cheesesteak, so we grabbed one from uncle Gus restaurant. The bread was fresh with that perfect crunch from the sesame seeds, the onions were caramelized just right, and the meat and cheese were melt-in-your-mouth good. It really hit the spot. What I love about Reading Terminal Market is that you can try completely different cuisines in one visit. In just one meal, we went from Indian flavors to an iconic Philly classic, and everything tasted authentic and delicious. Yes, it’s busy, but that’s the fun of it—it feels alive, full of people and energy. The food quality makes it more than worth it. Whether you’re a local or visiting Philly, you won’t leave hungry, and you’ll probably already be planning what you want to try next time.

This a very unique place! It’s a must see and the perfect spot for lunch. There’s many different food options here, all of a wide variety! From raw oysters to soul food to sushi to Indian. There are a few dessert places as well. The meat market and fish market have lots of things to choose from if you plan on grabbing and preparing at home! We visited on a Saturday and it was overwhelmingly packed with people, however it is open 7 days a week, so I suggest visiting on a weekday.

Incredible space with multiple vendors, shops, and restaurants! Can’t recommend this market enough - we’ve literally told everyone about it. We are so glad we stopped in at the recommendation of our Lyft driver and we were so impressed. Coffee, Chocolate Pastries, multicultural cuisine options, and at least one or two bar / restaurants spaces. Not only was it an amazing adventure just walking the aisles, but everything was clean and the service at all the stalls was incredible. People were polite and it was easy to navigate the space! Highly recommend stopping Reading Terminal if you’re in the area!

We went on a Sunday at noon. I have to say it was busy but was still easy to get around with a toddler. We went to The Original Turkey and it was so delicious reminds me of Thanksgiving but so much better because the turkey was juicy and tender. The stuffing had so much flavor and the gravy was savory. The stuffing club was to die for. Next was dessert and we decided on Wilts!!!! Chocolate strawberries was so sweet and delicious. Strawberries by themselves were fragrant. Then Muller Chocolate Co. We got a variety of truffles and chocolate covered pretzels. As a tourist I definitely recommend these places but I do say go and look around and try things that you might fancy! There is plenty

Oh my. What an incredible place to get a true taste of Philly. From cheesesteaks and pretzels to baked goods and fresh meats and veggies - there’s something around every corner! Enjoyed a fresh pressed juice, bagels and donuts while we strolled. Bought some local libations home with us. Can’t wait to go try some more spots throughout the market

A must visit! TONS of vendors and delicious food throughout the building. Anything you could want, it’s going to be in here. I loved the neon signs and how much there was throughout. Great deals galore, and everyone was friendly and helpful if you had a question. I wish I had something like this closer to home; I would visit Philly again just to come Back here!

Our favourite place in Philly! Open everyday from 8am-6pm. If you visit Philly, this is a MUST! Gets very busy on weekends and it’s sometimes difficult to move around because of how narrow some of the aisles are. There are so many food options here, from Vegan food, cookies, doughnuts, delis, cheese and chocolate boutiques. There are washrooms here and some very limited seating.

What a cultural gem. From cheese steaks, to pastry shops, candy stores, groceries, seafood & meat markets, Amish diner, smoothies, gifts, and more. Prices range from fair to touristy. It's clean, including the restrooms, the service is kind, and the options are endless.

The Mad Batter Restaurant & Bar is a lively bistro in Cape May, NJ that serves American cuisine from breakfast to dinner. The restaurant features a cozy atmosphere and often hosts live music. It offers made-from-scratch breakfasts, fresh salads for lunch, and uncomplicated European-style dishes for dinner, including options for vegetarians. The bar boasts a diverse selection of reasonably priced wines by the glass. This casual spot is known for its affordable eats and welcoming ambiance.
What a nice place. I'm more fond of the back area near the bar, it has a more relaxing vibe. The food was very good, the apple pie french toast was excellent. I'd go back any time. Very friendly staff. Haven't been here in 12 years but still as good as I remember .. I will mention i would have preferred not to hear the Rhianna album the entire time I was there but you cant always get classical or Sinatra

Soild brunch spot in Cape May! Even with a 45 min wait, the experience was totally worth it. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff was welcoming, and the food delivered big on flavor. The corned beef hash was the highlight—crispy, tender, and deliciously seasoned. Breakfast potatoes were spot-on too. Portions were reasonable, and the chicken salad croissant was a pleasant surprise in both size and taste. Highly recommend for a laid-back, tasty brunch!
Will S — Google review
Not as impressive as expected This restaurant offers a wide variety of breakfast options, so I had high hopes. I ordered the Brussels sprouts fritters, but they didn’t taste as good as I expected. There was still a strong, unpleasant green taste from the vegetables, and honestly, I don’t think deep-frying works well for this dish. I also tried the award-winning cupcake, but it was just average—nothing special. The pancakes were underwhelming too; I’ve had better at other places, despite all the hype in the reviews. The orange juice was supposed to be freshly squeezed, but I couldn’t tell if it actually was. It tasted overly sweet and artificial, more like something with added sugar than real juice. The one dish I did enjoy was the eggs Benedict—the thick-cut bacon made it really satisfying, and that plate was the highlight of my meal. Overall, it’s a place you could try, but you’re not missing out if you don’t. There are definitely better breakfast spots in the city.

Fruit flies fruit flies. if you close the does an turn the air conditioner on it will keep them dormant . Had breakfast here the day before, eggs a pancake were good enough so came back the next night for dinner. What a mistake. I had both specials massaged kale and couscous ok, the monkfish etouffee flavorless But the real reason for the review is the chicken breast with the cream jus. Cold dry chicken that was definitely a day old. Are waitress Joanna was the only bright spot of this place . Honest, polite, courteous It’s a shame she had to apologize for the food and the flies . Don’t fall for the FAKE Reviews

Highlight: ✨️Orange Almond French Toast✨️ One of the best flavored French toasts I've ever had! No reservations, walked up and were given a buzzer with 1.5 hour wait time. Told by staff to come back to area 45 min after receiving buzzer. We were ready and seated within 10 min of coming back (50-55 min total wait). Service was good. Food arrived after a short wait (we were very hungry so it felt longer than it was) All requests were accommodated quickly and food was well made.

Yummy food! The Crousade was delicious and the Orange/Almond French toast hit the spot. I’m only knocking one star off because my friend’s latte was disappointing. Everything else was pretty great and would definitely recommend for a tasty breakfast spot.

Pleasant brunch spot in Cape May - we did wait almost an hour for a party of 2 on a Saturday morning (no reservations accepted for breakfast). The inside is airy and bright, feels like a boutique and very clean. The food was good, especially the corned beef hash. Worth trying if up for the wait.

Dock's Oyster House is an upscale seafood restaurant that has been serving customers since 1897. The restaurant offers a cozy and elegant dining room with nightly piano music, creating a charming and classic atmosphere. It is known for its commitment to serving fresh seafood and has been run by the Dougherty family for four generations.
Reserved this place after watching Mark’s video. Food was exceptionally good. Super fresh seafood, great service and ambience. I really loved the grilled oyster with champagne sauce. We also ordered flounder and Halibut. Halibut melted in my mouth. It was so soft and tender. Ended our dinner with tiramisu which was great as well.

Dock's Oyster House is a seafood restaurant located on Atlantic Ave. in Atlantic City. They are open Mon - Thu 4PM - 9PM and Fri - Sun 4PM - 9:30PM. Reservations required. I'd heard nothing but great things about Dock's, so I was excited to finally check it out! My buddy and I had a 7:15 reservation and we were promptly seated upon arrival. We started with the fried calamari. It was perfectly crispy and served with a flavorful marinara sauce, all rings, no tentacles. For our entree, we decided to split the 16 oz lobster tail and the 12 oz filet mignon. Both were enjoyable, but they fell short of the wow factor we were anticipating. The lobster could have been served hotter and with a bit more natural sweetness, while the steak would have benefited from a more consistent cook throughout. Our server, Taz, was fantastic! He was genuinely friendly, super personable, and incredibly helpful with navigating the menu. He really added to the experience.

Located in the mid town area of Atlantic City, Docks Oyster House is an iconic fixture in which their service dates back to 1897. They offer valet parking and I highly recommend having a reservation. They are well known for an extensive daily happy hour from 4-6 with half priced apps in the bar. The building is well maintained and the vibe inside is both elegant and timeless. Dress is casual, but men are asked to not wear hats within the dining room area. The service was excellent (hostess, servers, food runners, and bus team). They have quite an extensive drink/wine menu and they do offer a few mocktail options. We enjoyed various oysters: The Cape May Salts and Brigantine Salt as well as the Champagne Leek and Wasabi Crusted, which were all delicious. I enjoyed a lavender lemon infused mocktail which was not overly sweet and refreshing. For dinner we ordered the Crabmeat Sautee and the Pan Roasted Bronzino. Both dishes had an amazing pairing of fresh vegetables, herbs, sauces, and flavor. We were too full for dessert but the few I did see during our visit looked amazing. Overall, we had a fabulous experience here and will be returning in the near future.

If I could give this place six stars I would, the food is unbelievable 😁 we had a reservation for 5pm. This place is so busy to the point that we did not sit down till 5: 45pm. The blackened salmon is very good. There's steak is not their favorite but it's my favorite. Seafood Tower is awesome. Will go back in the future 😜

This place was highly recommended, and it didn't disappoint. The beet salad was excellent. The salmon dishes were full of flavor and cooked perfect, and the apple crumble was delicious and not very sweet. Make a reservation if you plan on visiting.

Unless you're queued up for Happy Hour 30 minutes prior to their opening, secure a reservation. You won't regret it! Dock's is busy for good reasons; the food and service is wonderful! I will return!

Adding yet another review to the thousands of 5 star reviews for Dock’s. Nothing to say that hasn’t already been said. This place has been open forever. I think since like 1897. It’s literally amazing. The oysters are on point. The food is incredible. The service is very helpful and professional. Great atmosphere with live piano music. Great happy hour. Endorsed by Anthony Bourdain. I try to come here every time I’m in AC.

Decent overall, food was pretty good but I wasn’t extremely impressed. Sitting outside was beautiful and the staff was excellent though!
Brandon D — Google review
We found the food overrated and overpriced, which was very disappointing after reading all the rave reviews. I sent the vegetarian option back because it just didn't taste great. It was a curried lentil dish and although I like curry, the spices were heavy handed and overpowered the rest of the food. The short rib and lobster we also ordered were acceptable. The staff was lovely, helpful, and graciously replaced the lentil dish with salmon which unfortunately was overcooked and dry. We ordered from the "early dining" menu so I wondered whether they didn't give it the same attention as food ordered of the regular menu. The fruit tart was delicious, the best part of the meal.
Elayne A — Google review
My wife and I had a great experience at Union Park. The food, service, and atmosphere were all of high quality. The restaurant is located in a beachside hotel near the main coastal road. The only downside is the parking—make sure to allow plenty of time during peak season. The decor is vintage Victorian, which is characteristic of Cape May. The artwork, drapes, and lighting all exude sophistication without the pretentiousness that often comes with this type of ambiance. On the evening we dined, we struggled to find parking, so I dropped my wife off to check in while I searched for a spot. By the time I was seated, it was twenty-five minutes past our reservation. I apologized to our server, who was gracious and completely understanding. The meal was delicious: well-prepared, tasty, and elegantly presented. I would highly recommend the lobster, which was perfectly cooked. Other standouts included the crab cake, fruit tart, and their local ice cream. The quality of the food, combined with the BYOB policy, made this restaurant a great value. We look forward to dining here again.

We went here for Cape May Restaurant Week! We loved everything we ordered. We definitely will be back again. We all ordered different appetizers. My SiL ordered Burrata salad, Daughter ordered crab cake and I ordered the Caesar salad. For entrees my SiL ordered the Short-rib over mashed potatoes. My daughter and I noth ordered the Twin Lobster tails over risotto. For dessert two tiramisus were ordered and the lemon tart! Bread was also included with dinner, however, normally there is an up charge for it. For beverages my SiL ordered a coffee and I had a diet coke. Ice water was also given and the service was impeccable. Only complaint was that the green beans were barely blanched. Otherwise everything was delicious and beautifully presented.

The food is terrible. This place is an Intagram/social media hype just like The Lobster House. I loved the inside, though. Too bad about the food. Should have left after they served cold bread for appetizer. When paying for an appetizer, it better be fresh and warm. No one wants days old bread. Yuck. It was downhill after that.

Such an elegant meal and dining experience. The staff are courteous and inside had a piano player. We tried the rolls, grilled octopus, scallops, duck, baby carrots, and the chocolate tart. Every single dish was exquisite, it felt so luxurious. I do recommend making a reservation for dinner.

Overall, pretty good! They have a full bar, but you can BYOB! But it is a $40 “open” charge per bottle of wine… The drink menu has everything, be mindful it’s very expensive. The NY Strip was great! Cooked exactly how it was requested. The Rack of Lamb entree was great too! Not disappointed at all. The Dover Filet was OK, but there should be more of a ‘starch’ to make it a complete meal. They overhauled it with green beans, but adding potatoes to it would’ve made it better. The Cape May Scallops entree was also pretty good but feels like it’s missing something. You have to buy rolls for the table & it only comes out with 1 roll per person… The atmosphere was OK; waitress was very nice & attentive. It just wasn’t ‘so good’ that I’d go back. The food did come out very quick! I’m glad we tried it, but wasn’t worth it. Not to mention I got 1 scoop of chocolate ice cream for dessert and that little scoop in the photo was $10… It was a $300 tab that didn’t include the $40 open charge. Seems a bit pricey for what we got.

Came here during a fantastic week in Cape May in late July & this was one of the evenings we randomly walked around looking for a spot. I've come to appreciate open bar sitting when there are no reservations. We had a lovely meal, the bartender & staff were fully on point & the piano player was fantastic. Good food, great drinks & a very full restaurant that never felt loud or crowded. Love Ebbit & hope to go back on a future trip!

Our reservation was for 6:45pm... we went early to have a drink in the porch which was so pleasant- a comfy couch and horse and buggy making loops... I checked in and the host immediately said Happy Anniversary (my wife had noted in the reservation). We were seated and greeted with a champagne toast for our anniversary!!! Danica our server was fantastic and the food was honestly perfect!!! We started with the Calamari app as well as the Cut Pasta and Crab app- 2 of the best apps I have ever enjoyed! I got the NY Strip- which will be my standard meal there moving forward! I loved the mushroom gravy and the zucchini couldn't have been better! My wife got the Scallops and they were succulent for sure! We wrapped sharing the Blueberry Tartlet... all I can say is WOW!!! What an experience! ENJOY!!!

This is the most quintessential cocktail lounge/ restaurant in the city of cape may. The casual environment makes you feel like you're not just going to have to stand and wait outside; they welcome you to enjoy very comfortable areas of the hotel, inside and out. A cocktail waitress or waiter walks around serving the areas outside of the dining area giving you an opportunity to enjoy your wait, so much that you might want to just hang around the cocktail areas and skip the restaurant.... but I would not reccomend skipping the restaurant. The food is prepared exceptionally with detail in the display and quality in each dish. It was very hard to choose from the items on the menu because everything sounded so good, I decided it was best to just order several different appetizers and 2 main dishes to split. EVERYTHING was perfect, from the taste, the smell, to the atmosphere. This will be my first choice of restaurant the next time I return to cape may.

It's a wonderful place but packed like sardines and very loud. The food however, is top notch, delicious cocktails, and great service. Having a more expansive kids menu would have been helpful. Had to pay 60 for kids meals is a bit pricey. It was steak but for kids....

We came here for dinner with my friend, and everything was absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we had the tempura calamari and mussels. For our entrées, I ordered the Cape May scallops, and my friend got the rainbow fish. I tried a bite of hers too it was just as amazing. The only downside about the Cape May scallops was that the other flavors slightly overpowered the risotto, so I couldn’t fully taste it. Our server, Ksenija, was super accommodating and welcoming. Overall, a 10/10 experience!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Gilchrist Restaurant is a long-standing eatery located in downtown Atlantic City, offering classic American breakfast and lunch since 1946. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere, reminiscent of traditional diners, makes it a popular spot for families. Known for its delicious home fries, hotcakes, French toast, crispy bacon, and eggs prepared to your liking with a side of grits. Locals highly recommend the signature blueberry hotcakes as the best in town.
Everything was wonderful. Loved the location. Came for lunch right by the aquarium in town. Very clean and felt like home. Ate lunch outside beautiful day for it. Would visit again when at the casinos. Or boat cruise. Only thing I didn’t like was the fish and chips were very greasy for like taste but everything else was on point.

Big disappointment. The waiter did not bring us what we asked for and forgot about it. The food was so unpleasant and blend, we could not even finish it. French toast was saggy and not pleasant to eat. We also had to wait to be seated for 30 min. I think this place is “an emperor with no clothes”. The only great thing about this place was its location right on the water. That’s all. This place needs to step up their game! We would not come back.

The breakfast food was good, with nice portions, and they know how to make a perfect over-easy egg nice and white, waitresses were nice but to get everything we needed we had to flag 3 different ones down and the cashier for refills. It has been years since the last time I ate here, and believe me, it was long overdue as I always liked this spot. The food and service here are always on point. I revisted this place this past weekend for lunch and to get one of the personal pizzas. I got the Margherita Pie, and let me tell you, I devoured that thing in minutes, as it was so good. On a Dave Portnoy scale, I would give the pie a 9 based on presentation, taste, and texture. This place has plenty of indoor and outdoor dining areas. I normally opt to eat outside as the inside is a bit too dimly lit for me. They have a great menu with a lot of good items to choose from, and nothing is overpriced. Plus, they sell t-shirts, sweatshirts, and onesies for your little ones. Overall, besides the great food and service, this restaurant has an awesome vibe. It's definitely worth checking out while visiting the area.

Pomodoro pasta isn’t always consistent, but when it’s good, the sauce with its sweet kick makes it one of the better pastas on the Shore. The margarita is decent, but the Betty Pie is better. It could use a bit less flop and more crisp, but the goat cheese and tomatoes taste super fresh. I recommend asking for well done and crispy. Great value and vibe, especially at the bar or outside on a nice day.

Really awesome spot all year round. If you sit by the garage doors it's a bit chilly in winter. Had the Night Driver drink which was very good. Slightly overpriced for the size but tasty enough to not be a problem. Had a margarita pie and a carbonara pie. Both were very tasty. This pizza is definitely something you need to eat quickly. Once it's cold it is almost inedible. Hot and it's some of the best! So just stop talking to your friends for 5 minutes and eat it! Lots of space to sit and a great vibe. Have jazz from 12-3 on Sundays and those guys are great! Will definitely return, and return. Summer is a great time to go here too.

Update to review from years ago. This place has gone downhill. Ordered the fresh mozzarella that they make in house. It was chewy, rubbery and tasteless. The side of prosciutto was 1 slice cut up in small pieces which were dry. The bread which they have the nerve to charge $4.00 was stale and flavorless. They charge extra for butter. The pizza inedible. Wet, soggy crust with no bite. We had the margarita pie. This place in my opinion is good for sitting outside and having a beverage. Cannot recommend the food. I wonder if people really think the food is good or just enjoy the ambience which is nice.

Cafe 2825 is a charming Italian restaurant in Atlantic City, known for its intimate atmosphere and authentic cuisine. Since 1986, this cozy eatery has been serving up classic Italian dishes like eggplant rollatini, veal chop Parmigiana, and a variety of housemade pastas. The menu features Neapolitan and Sicilian appetizers, with standout tableside experiences including the preparation of fresh burrata by owner Joe Lautato.
We had dinner at Cafe 2825 and everything was amazing from start to finish. The service was top-notch—our server was friendly and helpful. The homemade mozzarella and tableside Caesar salad were delicious! They have a good wine list and some nice cocktails. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm, and cozy, and has a real classic feel. It’s a small place, but that just adds to the charm. Overall, I would highly recommend Cafe 2825. If you’re in Atlantic City and want a great meal with great service, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back.

OMG ! If you’re lucky enough to get a seat in this restaurant you won’t be disappointed. Don’t skip on the table-side service. We had the fresh made mozzarella - yes it’s to die for. And we followed that up with q Locatelli cheese wheel table-side pasta service. Add in a Sunday gravy entree and life is good.

I felt like I was back in time eating in Italy! This beautiful restaurant is a must go to! Make a reservation well in advance (leave a message on the machine and someone will call you back). Get at least one tableside service, it is worth it! We had the tableside Caesar salad (they make it in front of you). I ordered the lobster marinara for dinner. It was fabulous! This restaurant is a place you go to if you LOVE food. It is simply delicious! And the owners care. They will come out and check on you. The restaurant is small, so you MUST make a reservation. I did see a big group go to the back, so they can accommodate if you book in advance.

Food off the hook Ginny the maitre d/owner, was friendly & more than helpful. Service & drinks were the best! If you go you know $$$ I will return every year, if I can get a reservation.

Superb spot in AC! I’m originally from the north east but live down south now. On a recent trip home I was craving that authentic Sunday gravy dinner my grandmom used to make. This place nailed it and made my childhood memories a reality. The table side experiences are where it’s at. Fresh mozzarella and Cacio e Pepe is heaven. Main dishes were just perfection! Service is five star. I will be back! It’s hard to get into but worth the patience.

Amazing service! My husband and I came here for our anniversary and are very glad we did. The attention to detail is amazing, and you can tell the family is passionate about their service. All of the food was delicious. Overall an enjoyable experience. They have a parking lot on Brighton Ave, just up the road which is nice. Not a far walk at all.

Always a fantastic place to eat. The food is always amazing, the staff friendly and attentive. Definitely pricy, but we'll worth it in my opinion.

Loved watching them make the mozzarella and truffle pasta. Service was phenomenal. The meal itself was enjoyable and well-prepared, though it didn’t quite stand out as exceptional.

Pascal & Sabine is a modern brasserie in downtown Asbury Park, offering craft cocktails and French comfort food. It has gained a reputation as an impressive fine-dining institution, attracting well-to-do diners for its butter-soaked escargot, steak tartare, and decadent fromage and charcuterie boards. The circular bar and lounge create an invigorating nightlife atmosphere.
I’d read some reviews saying this place was overrated but I disagree. The food, service, and atmosphere is on spot. My husband and I travel a lot and this has been one of the better places we have been. It may have a menu on the smaller side but there is not lack of variety. We got the charcuterie, garlic soup, rib eye, and duck. All of which was bangin and clearly well thought out. McKenzie (I’m not sure how to spell her name) was well versed in the menu and stated the kitchen was about to provide alternatives. I was able to do the duck as an entree vs small plate. I honestly could have kept the small plate with how large the portion was. We will definitely be back

Owen was our waiter Sunday evening for our party of 7. He was so personable and attentive making our experience so enjoyable. The food was excellent along with the timing. Not too fast and not too slow. This was a memorable, fun and delicious evening kicking off our summer. Beautiful atmosphere as well.

The food here was good, staff was kind and the atmosphere was nice. The food was generally fast and all the dishes were good except for the pork chops which were tasty but WAY to salty. 🧂

had an absolutely wonderful experience here on a date! first off, i was really enjoying listening to the dj music walking up to the restaurant but i didn’t know it was pascal and sabine playing it until we got right in front which was a pleasant surprise. quite fortunate that we came on a friday lol. the interior is beautiful and very romantic!! waiter was very helpful with our questions about the menu and the bread here is GREAT let me just say. started with the garlic cream soup and this was a bit disappointing as it tasted like a slightly savory thicker milk, maybe it was supposed to taste exactly like heated milk idk. but we enjoyed it i guess 3.5/5. i got the coq au vin, chicken was perfectly tender and the mashed potatoes were absolutely divine, i love a ton of butter with my mashed potatoes so i was very happy to taste that they definitely did not go light on the butter. shallots were good too, but i think i just didn’t prefer the winey flavor of the chicken. people who enjoy wine must like this though! bf got the mr smith burger. BEST BURGER IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE wow i was not expecting this!! the bun was so SO SO soft, it felt like cotton candy. the burger itself was so flavorful and juicy even though it was ordered medium, but it just exploded in my mouth. phenomenal!! fries were good too but we had to ask for condiments. i will DEFINITELY be back to try the mrs smith burger.

The service made this place an unforgettable gem ! Our waitress knew what to recommend, had a backstory behind each dish and a pairing to go with! I was very impressed with their cocktails, mussels and the french onion soup! Didn’t get the hype of the escargots here, had better . But the service made us want to make this a regular date night spot !!

I took my four-year-old daughter to Pascal & Sabine, knowing it’s a high-end restaurant, and I’ll admit I was a little nervous about how it might go. She’s very respectful, but I wasn’t sure how the staff would feel about having a young child there. From the moment we sat down, everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. Our waitress was beyond friendly, and even other staff members stopped by our table to say hello and compliment her—it truly made the evening special. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the entire experience was flawless. We had such a wonderful evening. No complaints at all—can’t wait to go back

Fantastic French restaurant tucked away in Asbury Park. One of our go-to places when visiting the area. Outstanding service and a great atmosphere to relax with colleagues, family, and friends. Outstanding raw oysters from Prince Edward Island in Canada. The tiger shrimp were fresh and meaty with a nice cocktail sauce and lemon. The Madame Smith burger had a thick ground brisket patty and was accompanied by a pile of hand cut fries. Delicious comfort food! The brandade croquettes had a thin crispy outer shell and a nice warm fish interior. Accompanied by a creamy/tart sauce. The fromage du jour was a selection of four different cheeses that complemented their nice French bread. Special thanks to Phil for sharing his knowledge and recommendations about the food and drinks, and for helping our large group out for a great dinner! Thanks to Maria for her conscientiousness and help with the food delivery and table clearing.

Absolutely nailed cocktails and brunch today. Not a single dish was off. The mushroom tart was A++. Latkes are light and not at all greasy. The honey and fig on the ricotta toast is magical. The olive oil poached tuna on the nicoise is so unguent and delicious. The burger is outstanding - made with melted raclette cheese (real flavor!). They really know how to make a good cocktail at the bar and our server, Herbie, was cheerful and charming throughout. Can’t wait to come back.

Nestled in a picturesque waterfront setting, Salt Creek Grille is a polished dining destination that seamlessly blends stylish wood accents with an inviting atmosphere. This restaurant offers a delightful array of classic meat and seafood dishes, making it perfect for any occasion. On special nights like Valentine's Day, guests can indulge in unique menu items such as crispy Brussels sprouts paired with tavern ham and maple glaze.
We booked a graduation dinner at Salt Creek this past Thursday and had a wonderful experience. Kim and Carmen did a fabulous job tending to both tables service was A1. Had a chance to try one of every appetizer (calamari was not available) and can definitely recommend the bacon wrapped shrimp along with the brussel sprouts. Entrees were abundant, a few of us enjoyed their burgers/sandwiches while I opted for the glazed Salmon and others for the roasted chicken dish which were all very tasty. Food came quick and hot all at the same time, great presentation. It was a little bit of a drive over but worth the visit since I have heard of the place before but never had a chance to come out. Definitely would return when in the area; it is a little old school and proper for a younger crowd but nice spot for a quiet or relaxing dinner with family or a date.

Salt Creek Grille surpassed all of my expectations for my daughter‘s bridal shower. All of the servers were very professional, friendly and worked in a timely manner. Barbara Peña is beyond efficient, professional, and always keeps you in the loop. The food was outstanding. We had the river room that had a beautiful river backdrop for the girls to take pictures. I highly recommend this place. Everything was everything I could ask for.

I had heard rumors that this fine restaurant has been struggling as of late. Rest assured, this is not true. Good food, excellent drinks, EXCEPTIONAL servers like Maddy and her fellow servers worked like precision. Also shout out to the manager who didn't just stand around like many restaurant managers. He was all around, helping, assisting and managing. Sorry that I didn't catch his name. I will post picks of some of the food items. I will describe the food items I personally tried in short details; brussel sprouts excellent; lobster good bisque better than most; sourdough bread a bit too much added flavoring and oil, sea bass very good but perhaps a bit less butter; prime rib well seasoned and served as requested but not the select choice I prefer and instead likely prime; wedge salad excellent. Service EXCEPTIONAL. Maddy hustled our table of eleven people like a pro. Servers like her our what make and break restaurants. Let me repeat...you want more Maddies working for you! The staff at Salt Creek Grille in Rumson are the shining star of the establishment. I will be back.

Such a wonderful place. First time going and the food and service was amazing. My experience is limited and also was my first time, but I can say without a doubt that I was served one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had in my life. A smoked sausage, egg and cheese on an English Muffin and a coffee. Amazing. I wish I had brought two. I was the only one in there and ordered to take out, but the staff was friendly, engaging and made sure I was good to go. The next time I will eat in and try other offerings, but this is now my official breakfast sandwich spot if I'm staying at Caesars (or Trop with a little further walk). Can't wait. And they serve liquor to go too. PLUS!

A friend recommended this place. I wasn't impressed. I don't like Gyro's but he loved it and ordered extra white sauce to go on it. I got a burger. Not the best burgers. I can't really say I enjoyed my visit. It was right on the boardwalk. I think the place has been around for a long time and people just go to see all the dollar bills taped all over the walls and chairs
Cynthia M — Google review
Hidden gem of the boardwalk. Love the customer service and atmosphere. My only 3 visits were during the off-season(winter/spring) so the foot traffic was low. Tight quarters. Bottles available to purchase. Would recommend for Adults. Hot chocolate was amazing. All-Day breakfast. Everything we tried was amazing.
M F — Google review
Good breakfast. Was told of bigger portions, not very big. Very good, just not much. Also, its expensive. Added 18% gratuity because bill was over $40, which is weird. Of course it was over that, its expensive. 😂 We learned quick that the boardwalk convenience fees are usually not worth it. There's a ton of options within a few blocks...

This place is excellent for the variety of fresh Italian foods. The selection is amazing and always good. However, I do have a concern that I am sure others share as well. If you ever go there for a sandwich, it takes forever to get one. The line is always 10-20 deep. This AM I went in for 3 sandwiches and 3 people were absolutely busting their butts to server the customers and 2 people were standing around doing nothing. One was even doing something on his phone in front of customers. I waited almost 25 minutes to get my sandwiches and the entire time I was there, he did absolutely nothing productive. This would never fly in a non-resort area. People would go elsewhere for faster service. Management should look into that, other choices exist nearby for sandwiches...

I am a first generation ItaloAmerican- Truly superb! Excellent selections of highest quality foods. 6+ choices of Imported prosciutto- some of the best I've had. Prepared foods are wonderful. Fresh made mozzarella and semolina breads were still warm. I wish it was closer to my home!

I went here after a long day on the beach. The beers were cold and the service was quick. I ordered the sweet chili wings they were crispy and alittle bit of sweet heat. My husband had the ribs, fries, and baked potato, everything was very good. The atmosphere was fun with live music by the bay. I will definitely return soon.

Great location with really good service of food that is unfortunately riding on long reputation of being good from the past. We drove down from our northern island area to grab an early lunch & view here at The Surfing Pig as it has always been a reliable eatery. Santa just arrived on the dock to visit today. Arriving a wee bit early for noon serving we drank some cocktail drinks served in nice aluminum drink cups. The Rum Runner was heavy with banana but enjoyable, def recommend the Watermelon Margarita. Highlight of my lunch. Ordered: House Special: Crab Quesadillas & Pulled Pork Tacos to share with one another. The Quesdadillas; 1st taste was a mouthful of salt. Not Old Bay seasoning, but salty-salt. Geez. A few bites later it was an ok dish that was nothing to brag about. Pulled Pork Tacos had nice toppings to cover over much of the dried out meat. Even though the pork had flavor it should have been dumped-not served. Picked through the taco and ate what was OK. The fries were uneventful & not crisp. Almost like in the UK chips. Ordered them extra crispy. We stopped ordering food & had ordered cocktails instead. Advice stick to what you can actually do really well. Hats, stickers & apparel available for purchase. The single bathroom was clean. Located in dining area has no fan inside. It was about 78 degrees outside and 90 degrees in the bathroom. Felt like a Petri dish experiment inside that room. Ewww.

The farm raises ethically treated chickens and Berkshire hogs, as well as grows an array of flowers and vegetables available for purchase. Guests can also attend family-style dinners featuring dishes made from the farm's produce.
I've visited Beach Plum Farm several times, and it's always beautifully maintained with vibrant gardens and flowers. The on-site market offers fresh meats and produce from their farm, along with other unique and interesting items. They have Gluten-free Bagels! They also serve delicious food and great coffee, with plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. There are also two lovely tented venues on the property for weddings and events. One suited for smaller gatherings and a larger one that looks like it could accommodate around 150 guests. Beach Plum Farm is a wonderful place to stop by for a relaxing lunch, a cup of coffee, or a bit of casual shopping.

My girlfriends and I had the honor of attending Monday night’s Saltwater Session. To say we were blown away is an understatement. Our farm-to-table meal was served family style in the garden. Flawless execution. Vibes were light, fun, and effortlessly chic. Flavor profiles were perfection. A true showcase of the chef’s talent. Service was warm and attentive, which gave the perfect balance of polished and personal. An experience that lingers long after the last bite.

My wife and I found this place looking for our weekly breakfast date spot. It was such a beautiful place to share our time together. The gardens were beautiful, the food and coffee were good. There were families all over enjoying the grounds and the free range chickens. We looked around the store and took a walk on the path through the woods before we left.

What a neat place to visit! We stopped in for a short visit to enjoy the grounds, some lite bites and a glass (or two) of wine after hitting the beach. It was my first visit, and I absolutely loved the vibe. Beautiful grounds, an ENORMOUS field of herbs that were planted in a delicate space reminiscent of an English garden. My only complaint was the price of the charcuterie board was ridiculous in terms of what you got for the money...but I guess you're paying for the atmosphere! I would definitely go back...but perhaps next time, I'll just stick with the wine :)

My friend and I went in the middle of the day on Friday (in October) and there was plenty of room to sit and enjoy our coffee. The country store has a good selection of fresh and jarred foods. Staff was friendly. The gardens are beautiful - I beg even more so in the spring and summer. Not much “to do” but we were happy to just sit. There is a Kids Dig zone which I thought was a nice touch (a garden bed full of dirt and construction vehicles/cars for kids to play with).

Amazing brunch (get the farm egg sandwich and fried potatoes!). My daughter loved it and so did all of our family members. Beautiful farm, friendly staff, friendly chickens roaming around, kids get to gather eggs from coops, pigs can be found down a beautiful winding path, flower arches and fountains in gardens around the restaurant , kids digging area , loved the farm merch and produce store, hay rides, pumpkins

I live in Cherry Hill and have been coming to cape May for over 40 years and my daughter just told me about this farm and I couldn't wait to go!!! Stop along the way and take pictures of the flowers near by and the winery is beautiful to just drive through which is close by.

Definitely our favorite restaurant in Sea Isle. Tried to include various pictures of the meals our family enjoyed the 2x’s we visited while on vacation. 1st visit began with me knocking over a glass of water but owner kindly moved the 8 of us to another table, we proceeded to EAT our faces off! The next visit, only 4 of us but just as wonderful.

We had a great experience at this restaurant. The menu is diverse and they offer tasty and creative dinner specials. They have Italian classics but it's not your run of the mill Italian. They also do a great job cooking your proteins to the proper temp whether it's fish, chicken, beef or pork. Everything was delicious. The service is also attentive as multiple people walk around refilling water and clearing dishes even when the restaurant is in very busy. A Modo Mio is my new favorite spot in Sea Isle!

We celebrated my in-laws’ 50th anniversary here with a group of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids under 4), and the experience was absolutely wonderful. The staff was incredibly warm, patient, and attentive—especially with the little ones. The food was phenomenal—some of the best Italian we’ve had. The calamari was easily one of the best I’ve had in my life—perfectly crisp and flavorful. Every pasta and seafood dish we tried was delicious, and you really can’t beat the prices for the quality you get. Love that it’s BYOB too! We’ll definitely be coming back again and again. Highly recommend for families, celebrations, or just a great night out!

FOOD IS TO DIE FOR. Truly the best Italian spot in Sea Isle. Owner was great, service was great, food was great. Would 10/10 recommend. Our party had allergy issues and were accommodated with zero issues. Cant say enough good things about this place, will be back ! Thank you.

Beach Haus Brewery is a popular production brewery and taproom located in Belmar, New Jersey, at the heart of the Jersey Shore. The taproom can accommodate up to 300 visitors and features an open-air deck with views of downtown Belmar. With over 16 beers on tap, including light lagers, pilsners, IPAs, stouts, porters, sour ales, and more, there's something for every beer enthusiast.
Beach Haus generously hosted our kick-off event for Alzheimer's New Jersey. It was a wonderful event from start to finish. The room was beautiful and the food was fantastic. We had a high turnout for the event and we know it was due to the fact our venue this year was Beach Haus. Erika, the events manager, was on the ball and handled everything from start to finish. She was professional, responsive and eager to help in any way she could. We cannot thank Beach Haus enough for their warmth, generosity and kindness. My friends and I cannot wait to go back and spend some time on the rooftop!

If you are looking for the best Wedding Venue Beach Haus should be your pick! When my wife and I were looking into non-traditional wedding venues we had some difficulty finding a place that provided everything we were looking for. As soon as we walked into Beach Haus Brewery and met with Erika, the Event Coordinator we knew that we had found our perfect space. Between the beautiful Ceremony and reception space, the delicious and fun food choices, and the fantastic beer and drink choices we were in love! Erika provided us exceptional amounts of support throughout the almost two years of planning, the countless emails that were exchanged were always met with professionalism and positivity and we can’t thank her enough! Day of, Erika and the entire Beach Haus Staff went above and beyond to ensure our day was picture perfect and we are still receiving countless compliments about the food, beer, and the space! We are so sad that the day is over but we can’t wait to host our next party at Beach Haus!

We had a great event at the Beach Haus Brewery! First of all the place is absolutely amazing! All of the floors have their unique touch! We had our party at the 801Craft Kitchen and Spirits. The food came out very quickly which was good because people were hungry! We just wish they would let you take home the food afterwards. We paid for it and should be able to bring it home. I know it's not their rule, its a NJ law but it should be changed. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. It's a little pricey but an overall success! xoxo

Beach Haus is one of our favorite places to eat, drink, and celebrate! Their burgers are top of the charts at the Jersey Shore! Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and always creative. I check and regularly try their burger of the month, which has never let me down. Their menu overall is great, too, with creative twists on classic items and great specials! Their beers are great. Their regular line up has something for everyone and their Test Dept beers are always so creative and unique. We also had my wife's baby shower here! The food was great and the atmosphere, as well. Their event space is spacious and unique. Their event team was very accommodating. Overall- super family friendly place with great food, drink, and ambience. Highly recommend for a night out in Belmar!

We hosted a client appreciation event at Beach Haus for about 50 people. The evening was seamless. Erika, the event coordinator, made the planning process basically effortless for me. We basically just showed up and everything was taken care of for us. Our bartender, Sean, and server, Andrea, were so kind, friendly, and accommodating. Our guests enjoyed the beer, drinks and food. Their Beer Hall is a great spot to host an event or party.

I just hosted my husbands 30th birthday at beach haus! It was awesome, I got so much great feedback from the guests about the food. Erika and Morgan were so great to work with. Between emailing, invoices, and blueprints of layouts to showing up, having assistance to set up, and the service. So helpful and made it so easy to host an event seamlessly! Thank you again 💕

Great place to eat. Food was amazing portions are very large Extremely large could Definitely share with another Adult or multiple children. Nice staff always came to me and asked if I needed anything. Super clean Environment I will be coming back every time I’m in town. I have the chicken Parmesan and lasagna with Caesar salad all 3 were absolutely delicious.

We loved the family style food serving options - we got ravioli, meatballs and lemon chicken! We also got the cold antipasto appetizer and a Cesar salad for the table. We had too much food!!! We could have done without the salad or one of the main dishes for our table of 5! All the flavors were phenomenal. Loved it all! Will go back! Use Google reserve a table in the morning or the day before! Tables go fast!

My mother is a huge fan of Carmine’s, so I decided to have her 75th birthday dinner here. Rebecca, Carmine’s in house party planner was amazing from start to finish. I booked this event in March and she was very accommodating. I was able to relax and let her do the work. When arriving the day of the event, I was impressed with the team hosting us. We had 20 guest and everyone raved about how fantastic the food, atmosphere, and service was at Carmine’s. I would definitely recommend this place!

Me & my husbands experience was spectacular and everything we dreamed of :-) we arrived during the lunch special absolutely worth the price enough food for now and later. Our waiter was a woman named yajaira (yaya) and she was truly amazing she asked us if it was our first time and we said yes and she explained everything about the menu and portions very well She was very kind and very helpful both the waitress and server was on point. We ordered the penne alla vodka with ceasar salad and spaghetti with meatballs. Very tasty and amazing quality. The guy who sat us down at our table was also very very nice and made sure we was happy with our food and experience. I will definitely come back again❤️ I recommend this restaurant 😊 (the pitcher of sangria was amazing as well and definitely worth the price)

Down in A.C. came to carmines alone. Sat at the bar. If you are here alone , they are very annoying. I know how big the portions are. They try to get you to order less food. I had the Clams on the half shelf, which are way overpriced, 1 dozen. They are not any bigger or a larger amount just because it is carmines, but the price is a carmines price. For dinner, I had linguine with Calamari. It was good and lacked garlic in the sauce. 3 pounds of pasta and a 1/4 pound of Calamari. The size of their meals are large, but not all of them. But they are all priced high. Very slow service tonight.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Italian Feast at Carmine’s Atlantic City If you're looking for a truly authentic Italian dining experience in Atlantic City, Carmine’s is the place to go. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with warmth and professionalism by an incredible staff who treat you like family. What stood out the most to me was the freshness of every single ingredient—you can taste the quality in every bite. Whether it’s the crisp vegetables, rich sauces, or perfectly cooked pasta, Carmine’s delivers excellence across the board. One dish I highly recommend is the rigatoni with Bolognese sauce. It’s absolutely outstanding—hearty, flavorful, and comforting. The sauce is slow-cooked to perfection, and the rigatoni is always al dente. Whether you're visiting with family or a group of friends, Carmine’s generous portions and vibrant atmosphere make it the perfect spot for a memorable meal. I’ll definitely be back!

This restaurant deserves five stars all around! The service was great. The atmosphere is quaint. But the food is definitely spot on. We have been here multiple times over the past few years, and the food and service are always above and beyond. Danny has been our server the last two times we have been here and he remembered us and even where we sat the last time. We came today to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary while in Cape May. We are from Pittsburgh so we are only here once a year or so. We always make a point to stop here for dinner while vacationing in CM. The food is always delicious but the service is more so what keeps us coming back. I can’t speak highly enough about this restaurant. Came here for dinner for my cousins bachelorette weekend. Love a great BYOB and this place came highly reccomended. Service was great and food was phenomenal. Would definitely go back if I go back to that area. The calamari was EXCELLENT, burrito a peach salad was ok, the peaches weren't ripe so that was a little underwhelming. The Halibut that had on special was incredible, so fresh and cooked perfectly. The filet was delicious but the peppercorn(in my opinion) was a little too much to my liking. The seafood risotto was very flavorful and cooked perfectly as well. The gnocchi was great too.

Went off season for lunch. There was no wait and they were able to accommodate our stroller outside. (They had heaters so even though it was a little chilly we were super comfortable.) We shared a Cesar salad and my husband had the salmon po'boy. The fish was cooked perfectly. I had the scallops and risotto. It was a smaller portion, only 4 scallops, but I think it is technically an appetizer, and actually it was the perfect portion for me. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the people watching. Service was very attentive and not rushed at all.

Very romantic place for dinner. We had lobster bisque and it was excellent! My chicken pasqual was really good. My husband had the pork chop with apples and it was cooked to perfection. The gnocchi was terrible. Gummy and tough. Our server was ok, got the job done but no warmth at all. Overall it was a great dinner and we would go back.

The restaurant offers a laid-back atmosphere and serves up mouthwatering classics such as burgers, ribs, and of course, seafood. It is owned by the same group behind the prestigious Washington Inn, ensuring quality food and a welcoming environment for families.
Lucky Bone is a wonderful, family-friendly spot. The mussels in red sauce were fresh and flavorful, and the menu has plenty of comfort foods that make you feel at home. We went to try fish n chips but ended up ordering a pizza alongside. Fish n chips were okay, but surprisingly, the pizza turned out to be really good. It was a four cheese pizza with prosciutto on top. The texture was perfect, and the flavor was amazing. We weren't expecting a good pizza at all but thankfully, now we have found a good pizza spot in Cape May.

Tayrn was amazing ! We are visiting from out of town and had the best experience. The food is amazing. I have a very sensitive gluten celiac disease. They have a whole separate menu and bring out an orange napkin so everyone knows. Then you get your food on a separate orange plate. It’s so nice to be able to be safe and still have food that doesn’t compromise on taste. I wish places where I live did this. The pizza was gluten free and the flavor was amazing. The crust is perfect. So many amazing options. Huge wine menu. Fresh clams. It was great. Be sure to go for sure !

My family and I were down in Cape May for a long weekend for my wife's Bday. We decided to check out Lucky Bones for breakfast since they only do it on weekends, and we were only a short walk away. They had a few specials, all of them sounded good. I chose the Bacon and Bleu Omellete and it was perfect. My wife got the Eggs Benedict, which she also enjoyed. The coffee was very good and our server was very attentive. All in all, a great dining experience for our family. I'd definitely recommend this place for breakfast, I'm sure their lunch and dinner options are just as good as well.

Lucky Bones will amaze you. As soon as you walk into this restaurant, you will notice a great full service Bar and a courteous hostess station. We were escorted to our table and were met by a friendly waitress ready to assist us explaining the food specials, the incredible beer offerings, wine and other liquid offerings. I am known by my friends for my true enjoyment of food and drink and my opinions are sincere. Lucky Bones will amaze you with their food and their service. The waitress suggested the mussels served in a San Marzano tomato based sauce with Gorgonzola cheese and shredded Basil. Gorgonzola and Mussels?????? Not sure of that, but the waitress assured me it was fabulous. I listen to food staff. I am glad that I do! It is one of the best dishes of Mussels I ever tasted. Although they have an impressive menu which includes fabulous seafood dishes such as Pompano and Cobia, somehow the fresh chopped clam white pizza pie sounded like a perfect accompaniment. Damn, was I pleased that I did. It was superb! You really cannot go wrong with any dish. The food and service was exemplary and we not could go home without another meal at Lucky Bones. The Mussels and the clam pizza pie are addictive. We were fortunate enough to meet the GM Jason DeWaters as he walked the rooms assuring all guests were satisfied. A great pleasure to meet him and he is just one more reason to travel 123 miles from home to enjoy another meal at Lucky Bones Backwater Grille. You will not be disappointed………..

Little Italy Restaurant, located at 5401 Atlantic Avenue in Wildwood Crest, offers a charming piazza-inspired ambiance and serves up classic Italian dishes such as pasta, seafood, wood-fired pizzas, and steaks. The restaurant's decor evokes the feeling of dining at a Mom-and-Pop along the Mediterranean. Visitors have raved about the delicious cheesy garlic bread and calamari, as well as the perfectly cooked swordfish.
WOW, I can't believe ive been going to Wildwood 30 years and never been to this great restaurant. An off-season visit. I think you can trade in the 5 stars I gave you for at least 1 Michelin star. I had Veal Scaloppini, my wife had the Aglio e Olio Broccoli & Chicken. I have been cooking and eating veal for over 40 years and never has it been this good. No knife needed perfect tender beef flavor. And lovely wine and butter sauce. Both our meals were too large to eat in one sitting, what a joy as leftovers Thanks Little Italy and our server Eric for a once in a lifetime meal. ( Well, we'll be back next year).

This place has been a very special stop for me during my Wildwood-Cape May trips since 2008. While the staff may change over time the food remains top notch. I can not say enough about it. It is truly one of the best restaurants in the area.
Paul H — Google review
As an Italian with a lot of cooking experience, I was extremely disappointed with Little Italy in Wildwood Crest. The only positives were the charming atmosphere and the BYOB option—we brought our own wine, and that was easily the best part of our dinner. The food was awful! My husband’s manicotti looked like soup, drowned in cheese, my gnocchi in bolognese sauce was pasty, and the antipasto cold cuts seemed old. The oven was broken, so we didn't get the homemade bread instead, we got old bread that tasted like it was in the freezer for a while! The service made it worse, with rushed waitstaff making the whole experience feel like a factory line. Honestly, some of the worst Italian food I’ve ever had.l! Olive Garden does a better job than this place.

We just had a family dinner here on Saturday night. There was 9 of us and the service was amazing even with the waitress having 2 other larger parties. The food was fantastic. We ate here for many years when we did our family vacations in Wildwood growing up and nothing has changed as far as the quality of food.

The Crab Trap, a well-established eatery in Somers Point, is renowned for its relaxed atmosphere and emphasis on seafood. With an outdoor bar and deck that offers picturesque harbor views, it provides a delightful setting. The menu primarily focuses on familiar favorites, making it ideal for those who prefer traditional dishes. A standout recommendation is the stuffed filet of flounder, which features their delicious deviled crab stuffing.
Was visiting from out of town and was looking for some good clam chowder and fresh seafood. I was not disappointed. It was delicious! We were a party of six so they did take a while to bring out of entrees. However, they brought out appetizers and salads in a timely manner. I think they took a while to bring our entree since one person in our party ordered a 2lbs lobster. It was all really good though! Would definitely come back again if I’m in town.

The food, drinks, and service at the Crab Trap is second to none. All of the seafood is beyond fresh, and tastes fantastic. I will say, the wait can be a bit long, so get there plenty early. If you are visiting the shore and want quality seafood, this is the place to go. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and as expected the crab was second to none. If I could I would rate this a 100/10.

The Crab Trap has been my favorite restaurant down the shore since I was a kid, and going back this year did not disappoint! The seafood is as fresh as can be, and I don’t think you can go wrong. The 1-1-1 soup appetizer of Crab Bisque, Maryland Crab Soup & Clam Chowder was great, and I ended up ordering a giant bowl of Crab Bisque after. The crab cakes, whether deviled or not, are perfect, and my wife said it’s the best she’s ever had! The atmosphere feels like a beach restaurant, with a location that’s easy to get to and a nearby waterside bar.

Decent restaurant. Food was pretty good, but not stellar. I had the soup trio which i liked because I was able to try different things. They don't take reservations and we were told 45 minutes. We went to the bar by the bay and had a drink. There is limited seating at the bar, so if you can't get a seat you would wait on benches by the restaurant. You do get a lot of food including some nice sides. 20 something server kept calling us "sweetie" and "hun" and other strange things.
DGR — Google review
During the summer season, there is a long wait for dinner, no reservations BUT there's a reason and it is worth it. They also give a longer wait but it ends up being shorter than expected. You can hang at the bar (drinks are good and storing) to wait or head to Jack's Shack along the water and drink there if its opened. The food does not disappoint no matter what you get. The oysters were fresh, the onion bloom is better than Outback's, and you can't go wrong with the soups. The bread basket they bring has piping hot bread and muffins, but be careful not to eat too much because you will get full before the mains arrive. Most meals come with a side salad and a ton of side options. Get the softshell crab special if they have it. My steamed lobster (also have the choice of broiled) was flavorful, mahi mahi was delicious. Stopping here every time we visit is a must. The staff is friendly, food comes out quick. Parking is available onsite.

She's a keeper! 6-28-25 The wait it's a little longer now that we're in the summer season. It's still worth the wait. adding another wonderful dinner at The Crab Trap the food is consistently delicious .Our server Andres was probably the best 8-27-25 another great dinner at The Crab Trap worth the hour wait. This is for the Happy Hour upfront at Cielo Wine Bar which is the bar area at the front of Capriccio Restaurant (which is big.) Great Happy Hour cocktail deals at $8 each . I got the Lavender Margarita which was pretty and tasty. And the Prosecco Mojito which was really refreshing though not that strong. My friend had the Espresso Martini which he really liked and said it was smooth (and it comes In a frosted glass .) He also had the Manhattan which was a serious drink . Very strong. From the bites menu we got the Fries and the Grilled Focaccia both of which were $7 i believe. They were fantastic. Great flavor on the Fries by themselves though i asked for ketchup and the Grilled Focaccia comes with a warm marinara sauce to dip in .Light crispy and tasty and we liked this so much we got a 2nd order .I also got the Langosta which is tasty ravioli with a blush sauce and some lobster for $14 . Get this .Happy Hour plates are a bit smaller but get a couple of them each and it's a light meal ( which it was for us on our first night in Resorts . ) This is on the Dining level floor and you have to take an elevator to get there . Also we got there a little before 5 on Sunday and there was no problem getting a seat at the bar (since HH is only available in the bar area or the hightops .) My friend also got the Tuna on Crispy Rice bites , which aren't big but he liked that . I would say get the ravioli. The bartender and other staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely check out this great spot for Happy Hour specials.

We went here for my sister's birthday dinner. I booked a reservation since we didn't want to wait til a table is open. The interior is beautiful. The bread was very good. As well as the food was very delicious and we have a great time. The waiter was extremely funny and made it a pleasant experience.

Friday night in Atlantic City and the last place we wanted to eat was a casino. After a little research, we decided on Capriccio. Wow...we were in heaven. Paid parking (is there ANY free parking in anotherwise dead AC?) The shades are down, which initially made us think not-open. The reviews were so excellent that we trudged over anyhow, and glad we did. Superior service. The BEST food - and as italian as can be. You will not be disappointed.

The Peter Shields Inn & Restaurant is a romantic dining spot housed in an elegant 1907 beachfront mansion, offering American cuisine with stunning views. Chef Carl Messick has opened Grana BYOB at the former Godmothers site, featuring a 68-seat restaurant serving modern American cuisine using seasonal ingredients.
An Incredible Stay in Cape May! We stayed here for one night and absolutely loved it. The house is located right on the ocean and only about a 20-minute walk from Washington Mall — the perfect balance of peacefulness and convenience to local restaurants, shops, and walking areas. Our Victorian-style room was cozy and charming, with a spacious, spotless bathroom fully stocked with everything we needed. The soft bathrobes were such a thoughtful touch. Since my husband and I are big fans of Victorian architecture, it was extra special for us to admire the beautiful details of the house inside and out. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, and check-in was quick and easy. On our floor, there was a little lounge with coffee, tea, and light snacks, which was very convenient. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was a wonderful surprise — and for a small extra charge, you can even enjoy a mimosa 😊. Another huge plus: the beach is right across the street, and the property provides chairs and umbrellas free of charge. This made our stay even more relaxing. Overall, 5 out of 5! Perfect location, clean and comfortable rooms with everything you need, great service, and the unique charm of a Victorian home. We would definitely come back!

This place is stunning and as an experience, it’s a really cool restaurant to go to. It’s on the fancier side and just feels so exquisite. One of my favorite parts was the piano player and being able to send in song requests; such an unique experience! The food presentation was impressive, but overall the food was pretty good but not the best I have had. Service took awhile too, but they were attentive. Definitely a nice place to try!

My Husband and I had a lovely time staying at the Inn, It was just what we needed. It was relaxing and charming. The breakfast was nice, as we sat on the porch. We had dinner there as well in their cozy and romantic dining room. The cocktails were superb as was the dining experience. Gourmet at its finest in a very inviting (stay a while) candle lit environment. The Inn went all out with their fall decorations and we were greeted by butterflies in the beautiful garden upon arrival. The fire pit in the evening out front was a special touch while we sipped on our night cap. We hope to be able to come back one day again to experience the magic all over again. Peter Shields Inn and Cape May is truly a special place. So picturesque. A place to get away from it all for a spell. Sigh and Smile.

Peter Shields has a beautiful reputation, so we arrived with high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t fully live up. We waited quite a while to be greeted, and though our waitress was lovely, she was clearly juggling too much. The food was enjoyable and the evening pleasant, but Washington Inn still feels unmatched for warm, seamless hospitality in Cape May.

Another excellent dining experience as always! Loving the fall menu. Started with deliciously inventive cocktails and mocktails. For appetizers we had the colossal crab salad with HUGE pieces of crab, and a wonderful Caesar salad. We both had venison for our entrees, tender and cooked perfectly. The white chocolate bread pudding was a perfect ending to great meal. The staff consistently provide attentive and professional service adding to the atmosphere. The best place in Cape May! Thank you!

Peter Shields is the epitome of fine dining! The elegance is felt as soon as you walk up the outside stairs & continues all the way through as you enter. All the servers & staff were completely accommodating. My friends & I were in Cape May for a week long vacation in July & this had been on our radar since booking the trip. PS exceeded all our expectations, food & presentation were all spot on. TBH we had the most fun with the piano player, you could text him any & all of your requests & we happily waited for our song to come up, he was fantastic.

Our dinner at Peter Shields Inn was the best meal I've ever had. I have had plenty of good food before, but the composure of every dish here was beyond anything I've experienced. Each bite was the perfect balance of flavors and texture really making this dining experience stand above all my others. I would recommend this stop for anyone looking for an exquisite meal for any special occasion.

We went to Peter shields for our anniversary and everything was wonderful. We were greeted by the hostess with a smile and she wished us a happy anniversary. They brought over 2 glasses of champagne when we sat down. Our server Dylan(sorry I’m unsure of spelling) was amazing. He was so attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, our drinks were delicious and unique. 5/5 we can’t wait to come back.

Avon Pavilion is a beautiful upscale restaurant with an open-air setting and delicious American food. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, perfect for a beachfront breakfast or dinner. The service is always excellent and the prices are great.
After an early long walk by the shore, it’s time to feed your tummy. 😋😋😋 Me and my husband had our breakfast to this very good location and one and only restaurant by the beach. There was a long line, since just table for 2, we were easily squished in. I ordered mix veggie omelette, with onions, tomatoes, green pepper, mushroom. Delicious!!! The view is amazing, and watching people walking by with their kids and pets. The service is fast and the waitresses are nice. For the food and the view, priceless!!! Will definite come back.

The food was good but the service was amazing. I sincerely wish I could've given out waiter Mike 10 stars. The entire staff there was so friendly and in good spirits. They are maintaining COVID-19 guidelines very well. They literally made the entire experience pleasurable.

5 star service and unbeatable view on the ocean!! Our waiter Kevin took great care of us and was fun to chat with to boot. He was friendly and had impeccable timing and deep (helpful!) knowledge about the menu. I had an absolutely heavenly plate of mussels in a butter garlic sauce, with extra bread to soak up the to-die-for sauce. (A bit salty but well balanced overall.) Removing a star because my scallops, while exquisitely cooked, were drowned in a sauce that managed to be too sweet and too salty (for my tastes) at the same time. Overall, this place is lovely and I will absolutely return again…I’ll just order a different entree!

Very popular place; they don't take reservations and we had to wait in line to get in. Not too impressive inside ( e.g., plastic chairs, cramped seating), but you can't beat the location. The restaurant is right on the boardwalk, so depending on where you sit, you can gaze at the ocean while eating. Food is quite good overall, but not everything is equally impressive. I would skip the clam chowder - it's way too salty. The crabcake however, is possibly the best I've had and well worth the price. The desserts were also really good, our party of four shared a few. Our server, Kevin, was superb and I'm sure he'll be running the place one day (or one just like it). I would definitely go there again the next time I'm visiting Avon-by-the-Sea.

Beautiful breakfast spot on the shore. Awesome view. Food is always spot on. I be only had dinner twice. Host are always nice and accommodating. Been going for 20 + years. Our waitress Jill inspired us to give a review. Sweet and on her game. Thanks for the great service. They never disappoint.✌️❤️😎

Wow awesome breakfast. Ultimate omelet is the bomb. We brought some champagne for a birthday and they helped us out with the OJ and glasses. Service was great, waitress was happy to help our huge party! They sat 10 of us and were very accommodating. You do need the full party there to sit though so come prepared. Go here on a nice day when you're not on a hurry, no reservations accepted, but worth the wait!

Just had an awesome lunch here! The seafood salad appetizer was excellent and the ahi tuna flatbread salad was exceptional! The weather was lousy, but anytime at the beach is enjoyable and relaxing.

My friends and I had a very delicious dinner at the Avon Pavilion after a day on the beach. Dinner was served nice and hot, it was very well prepared and very tasty. The presentation of my dish (Kahuna Luna Salmon) was spectacular! The prices are good, considering you are right on the beach. Highly recommended.
