Bar Anticipation, also known as Bar A, is a popular spot in Lake Como that offers a spacious indoor-outdoor setting with VIP cabanas and sand volleyball. While it's not directly on the beach, the sandy bar known as The Grotto provides a beach-like atmosphere. The venue features live music, DJ entertainment, and ample space for mingling with friends.
Thursday blue plate lunch (Pork Chops) @ $7.95 was great. Mashed potatoes and vegetables were also fresh. Waitress was great as well.

Initially, I searched online for a place that served lobster roll and this place came up, but upon arriving there and browsing the menu, lobster roll was not listed, so perhaps it's only a special on occasion. This place was recommended from our AirBnb host, and the other menu options looked great, so we stayed and had lunch anyway. I enjoyed my Bar A's Brisket Sandwich, which on the menu mentioned came with horseradish sauce and au jus. However, when it came to the table, it did not come with those described condiments, so I had to ask our server for both, and received them quickly with no hassle. We arrived around 11am and it seems this place has it's regulars. The one positioned directly by the entrance was very quick to offer the four women who walked in some cocktails on his tab. We politely declined the drink and we resumed the rest of our visit without any issues from the other guests. If you like that kind of familiar atmosphere, then I would say they seem open and friendly to anyone who is a visiting patron. My friend ordered the sliders and said they were the best she's had in her life. Prices were definitely reasonable.

Good food great outdoor event. Just needs to be a bit more handicapped accessible. And the handicapped parking spots should be closer to the building not in the 2nd lot or on the other side of the 1st lot.
Josephine R — Google review
gets very crowded on Wednesday nights with line dancing with little to no room. went there on a Saturday night in June. the parking lot was blocked off so everyone had to park on the street or the lot by the train tracks. came in that Saturday night wearing my track pants but was not allowed in even though everyone else were dressed down or dressed casual. went there on Wednesday nights with track pants during line dance & was allowed in. food & drinks are very good & reasonably priced. waitresses & bartenders are very nice & friendly.

As someone who was born and raised in Belmar I Hadn’t been back in years. Went for lunch on a hot day. It was warmer inside at the bar than outside. People come to enjoy lunch, a drink and to beat the heat. Don’t be cheap turn the air on. That being said the bartender and waitress were friendly. They have good blue plate lunch specials and pretty good food. The place is totally different at night and on weekends. But during the week at lunch time it’s worth a try if you’re not into large crowds.
Chris B — Google review
They should hire bouncers who act their age and prioritize addressing the drug paraphernalia in the bathroom over being distracted by the girl on the sideline with the glow stick waiting for the Dj to finish. They have more bigger things to address than kicking out a local 👄
Jovanna R — Google review
Always heard about bar a and finally decided to go with my boyfriend and friend. When I gave them my ID a worker walked me all the way out the line and just kicked me out first and handed my ID back. I was extremely confused because 1 I was with people and 2 they gave me no explanation as to where we we’re going or why I was being thrown out. Then when I asked what’s going on he said we don’t take probationary license and I didn’t know that that wasn’t allowed since I use my license literally everywhere. The club, other bars etc. I was confused so I questioned why that matters because either way I’m not a minor I am an adult and legal of age to drink and get into a place to drink. My friend and boyfriend walked by to see what was wrong and when they questioned him he kicked them out as well. The worker was extremely rude. I had to explain to him that it is extremely unprofessional to kick out people that got in perfectly fine with their identification and this situation has nothing to do with them but they were just concerned for me. He let my friend back in but obviously not my boyfriend because he was extremely insulted by the way your worker spoke to me. i’m not leaving a bad review because I wasn’t allowed in but because i felt that situation could of been handled differently. Please teach your staff hospitality and to treat guest with respect when denying them and to not push them out the way with no explanation to begin with.

What a fun and entertaining Wednesday night of Country music & line dancing! Amazing crowd who was so into the dance floor-- loved it!! Halt hour apps excellent and service (Megan) very nice. Jenks Club is a lively indoor-outdoor beach club in Point Pleasant, known for its vibrant atmosphere and exciting entertainment. It's a popular summer destination offering live music concerts, DJs, and multiple bars where guests can dance and enjoy the beats. With its prime location on the beach, visitors can also relax with live music during the day before transitioning to the energetic nightlife scene. This hot spot along the Jersey Shore attracts young crowds seeking a memorable experience by the bay.
We had a wonderful midweek experience. The red snapper was fresh caught with a pricy $40 per plate, including 2 sides. Delicious. Drinks were spot on in plastic cups. The fireworks added to the experience. Then, a classic rock band performed live. Dont get the 3 star ratings.

Went for country night as one of my favorite artists was performing. Bought tickets and saw the doors open at 7 pm, and the show starts at 8 pm. Showed up at 7 pm and already people were there by the stage when we walked in. Unlike most bar venues that have concerts, this place does not shut down and make it so that only people who purchased tickets attend. Anyone who was there before 7 pm was allowed to stay even if they did not buy a ticket. The biggest issue I had was the false advertising. The flyer clearly said the show starts at 8 pm, but the opener did not come on till 8:30 pm, and the main act, after asking a bartender, did not come on till 9:30 pm. Beautiful place to enjoy the view of the ocean, but a tad pricey when it comes to drinks.

POINT PLEASANT BEACH: Come to this seasonal and beautiful spot right on a fenced-in sandy beach where dogs can run around off-leash and, if you prefer, on-leash. All dogs are in one area (not separated by size). There are outdoor bars to get a drink and you can order food from a menu with a lot of selections and a server can take your order or you can order at the bar. There is also a doggie menu with a choice of meat, green beans, and carrots. Dogs are not allowed inside the building, but a pet parent can go inside for more bars, food, and restrooms. If it is your first time attending this year, you need to complete a waiver when you arrive (dogs must be fixed and updated on rabies vaccination). All ages are welcome and it is family friendly! Point Pleasant is very strict about dogs on the boardwalk (they are not allowed), but they are able to cross over to get to Jenks. Park in the area of the aquarium so you don’t have to walk on the boardwalk too long.

Went for a show and found the most perfect tiki style bar right on the beach. Enjoyed several drinks and had a great time.
Generator G — Google review
The bartender in blonde was extremely rude to me as well as my guests on multiple occasions to the bar. I asked for a “rum punch”. Didn’t want a full rum bucket because I didn’t want that much alcohol, and she goes “rum punch?? It’s a $20 minimum. Figure it out!” Then moves onto the next person. I get that it was busy, but if she were to say “I’m sorry, it’s a $20 minimum. Would you want to get 2?” I would have happily gotten 2. Not to mention that I actually had cash on me so I would have just used cash if I would have known. Also, isn’t she working on tips? I ended up going to a different bartender bc I didn’t want to deal with her, and I advised my friends not to tip her at all since she was so rude. You probably would have made a lot more money that night if you would have just used your words properly!
Chris B — Google review
The bartender at the beach bar was incredibly rude and hostile. She deliberately ignored and made nasty faces at our two party group despite our attempts at being kind and respectful. She completely ruined our experience at Jenks club, as we and several others left after this incident.
Neha B — Google review
the two men that were performing on monday june 23 2025 asked if anyone wanted to sing the chorus of the song and than when my friend stepped up they declined in front of everyone… it was rude and embarrassing we will not be back. they also sucked, they know she would out sing them.

Classic Jersey Shore casual hangout! Love the indoor/outdoor feel and service was great. They were gearing up for a big show that evening, but didn't rush us out at all. Tried the sushi which was great. Can't guarantee a rainbow over the ocean every time, but we had one last night. Went in in a good mood and left in a better mood. Security even helped our son find our table as they closed the dining area for the show. Class act!

Bird and Betty's is a lively bayside bar with an open-air second story that exudes a South Philly roof-deck party vibe. The place offers a variety of delicious food, including octopus over gigante bean hummus, Neapolitan-style pies, and fried chicken sandwiches. The cocktails are on the sweeter side, but there's also an extensive wine list.
Stop number one on our food bar crawl. My daughter’s choice. She chose the short rib disco fries, and the fig with Gorgonzola bar pie. Both were fantastic!!! Great pizza crust and those toppings just jived together perfect!
Dinafly2008 — Google review
Taylor was our server and she did an excellent job. She knew the menu well and accommodated my request for a part of my meal. Why only three stars? The restaurant needs a good scrubbing. Menus were gross, floor was gross, I didn't even go in the bathroom.... The views are great. But the prices were hardly worth it. I must say the scallops dish was definitely delicious. No follow up in how's your meal by anyone! Server takes your order, food runner brings it. Server brings you your check. Again Taylor was super sweet, but a green server.

Bird and betty’s was a great place for a big nice family dinner. The restaurant was a little dark so I had to bring out my phone flashlight but I'm sure it was just a part of the ambiance. My entire table got the crab mancoti which was soo good and then the tiramisu bread pudding which was crazy good. I also tried two cocktails, the patio pounder, and the raspberry baret martini and both were really great.
Sarah T — Google review
Bird & Betty’s has a great vibe—lively atmosphere, solid cocktails, and a menu that hits the spot after a beach day. The seafood is fresh and the décor has that perfect retro-coastal charm. That said, the service could use some tightening up. Staff were friendly but a bit slow and scattered during our visit. Still worth checking out, especially if you’re in no rush and want to soak in the scene.

Bird & Betty’s – Long Beach Island, NJ During a recent visit to Long Beach Island, my girlfriend’s brother treated us to dinner at Bird & Betty’s. His top recommendation was the meatball appetizer—and it did not disappoint. The dish featured a few generously sized meatballs served in a rich, meaty ragu sauce. While the meatballs themselves were excellent, the addition of two pieces of garlic bread elevated the experience. It was clear they knew exactly what they were doing—giving you just enough bread to savor every drop of that sauce. We also tried the mozzarella appetizer, which was unlike any presentation I’ve seen before. Rather than traditional sticks or balls, it was a single, approximately five-inch-wide circle of fried mozzarella topped with sautéed onions, peppers, and tomatoes. The combination of crispy exterior, melted cheese, and fresh toppings made for a memorable starter. I cut it into pieces so we could share, and it was a definite hit at the table. The atmosphere at Bird & Betty’s is part of the charm. The restaurant has two levels—upstairs offers an open-air patio with bar service and tables, perfect for watching the sunset, while indoors features a small performance space that could host an intimate concert, along with a wraparound porch. The vibe is lively, with great music and a crowd that clearly enjoys being there. We enjoyed drinks for about an hour before our meal and ultimately ordered three separate meatball appetizers so each of us could fully enjoy our own, along with one order of the fried mozzarella to share. Arriving at 6 p.m. on a Friday night, we faced a 45-minute wait for a table for three, which wasn’t surprising given how packed the place was. Reservations are available, and I highly recommend making them if you want to avoid a wait. In short, Bird & Betty’s delivers both in atmosphere and flavor. The food was creative yet comforting, the energy was contagious, and the sunset view from the upstairs patio sealed the deal.
Fred B — Google review
Our food was slightly above fair. We shared the clams and butter, octopus, and ceviche and crab cakes. The octopus was not worth the price nor was the presentation. The clams and ceviche were good. The crab cake was a bit soggy. Drinks were good. Service was above par and atmosphere was stellar. Amazing sunset. We probably would revisit.

Happy hour on the deck was awesome! Especially on a Tuesday in the summer!! Got seats at the bar for all 5 of my friends! Enjoyed the Jersey Deviled Eggs ! Yum! Margaritas were delicious and so was the pineapple pistachio Martini’s! Definitely a great destination! Skip Martin was singing and well he’s great!!!
Liz S — Google review
We were meeting some friends for dinner. They got there 5 minutes before us, and once they saw us in the entry line proceeded upstairs. By the time we got to the counter, they told us dinner service was just ending and since it's now 9pm there is a 20 dollar per person cover charge. Wow. But we're meeting our friends so I sprung 40 dollars to get in. Now it gets better. Our friends came back down because it was a bit loud. Downstairs is a band so it's even louder (probablyexplains the cover, but i told her we were only there for dinner and drinks.) Since it was quieter upstairs, we headed back up but our tables had now been stacked for the dance floor. Packed. We found a very nice quiet place out on the roof area where they have very comfortable sofas around some awesome propane fire pits. Perfect since it was getting chilly. I made it to the bar for last call for bar food. The food was great, not quite what I ordered, an easy misunderstanding from the loud music, but the bartenders were great, hence a 5 for them. Fantastic venue, so a 5 for atmosphere. The 4 is my way of saying 'you got 40 bucks you weren't entitled too. I won't be back.'

Donovan's Reef is the ultimate beachside retreat, where relaxation meets vibrant energy. Nestled right on the oceanfront, this charming spot features a lively tiki bar and an inviting outdoor patio that beckons you to unwind with your toes in the sand. The menu boasts a delightful selection of pub favorites like wings and tacos, perfect for enjoying during happy hour or while soaking up live music from local bands.
Amazing bar we usually go with friends at night to hang out at this place and it's always a fun time. They have a beach section with a bar on the beach and there's always a place to get drinks easily. We only had the food one time and it was good it's pretty much just regular bar food. The drinks there are always made great and the prices are decent we always get the rum bucket when we go and its always made great. For the time we go there is usually a $10 cover fee to get in. Parking can be somewhat difficult as they don't have the biggest parking lot but there are paid parking lots within walking distance so it's never too much of an issue. I'd definitely recommend this place!

This place is gorgeous! It is right on the water! It is a really fun atmosphere!

Love the atmosphere 👌 and views great music too 👍 Now what I don't like 1. Doesn't have enough parking 2. Cash only who carries cash these days 3. No drink menu when asked bartender for a drink menu they said have you never been to a bar ? Young and immature person 4. Long lines to get bar food waited 30 min to get a sandwich Overall a great place just bring cash and don't ask for a drink menu cause they don't have it
None B — Google review
Cute little place. We just had drinks 🍸 They had $8 margaritas. I ordered a drink with Malibu rum, OJ, and a splash of cranberry. My other half had a Jameson because he wasn't crazy about the margaritas. Next time, I'll check out their food and will let you know. A band seemed to be practicing their music that day.

I am a member of the Donovan's Reef graduate program. I go to an AA Meeting just over the fence at 7 am in the summer. Best beach, beautiful raised walkway on the seawall. I haven't eaten there unfortunately but great music venue

Always a great time at Donovans! The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. They keep everything very clean. It's a nice crowd that goes, not ghetto or rowdy. $20 entrance fee on the weekends but it's worth it! The food is also amazing. They have an extensive menu. There is something for everyone!
Rosemarie M — Google review
Nice place located beach front. Parking is $15 , Kinda strange to charge for parking if your spending money at their establishment eating and drinking all day. Also this establishment does not allowed you to bring your own beverages such as water. They have three bars, one located on the beach, one on the deck and one inside,Rum buckets $18. Food was great and fast!
Kristina G — Google review
Really nice beach bar!!! Great atmosphere and good music, they even have a DJ on the weekends. This place is cash only which is always a pain. I feel like every time I ordered a new drink the price was different. Place gets extremely crowded so make sure to get there early, you can bring your own beach chair though! Also parking is very limited so I would recommend getting dropped off.

Leggett's Sand Bar is a beloved fixture in Manasquan, New Jersey, with a rich history dating back to 1937. Nestled just steps from the beach, it serves as an ideal destination for enjoying casual lunches or refreshing drinks after a day in the sun. This vibrant sports pub features fun activities like darts and shuffleboard, making it perfect for friendly competition among locals and visitors alike.
Delicious food at a prime location near the beach - would highly recommend. I visited in the off season and their outdoor patio was closed but it looked like a beautiful place to hang out outdoors. The service was good but the food was even better. Their french onion soup is fantastic. We also had the chicken nachos, wings and pizza and all were delicious.
Aneliya G — Google review
Great bar, awesome atmosphere. Nice bar outside, live music on the weekends. Good place for everyone. Large menu with many choices. Pizza is very popular. We had tuna bites and an open Ruben sandwich. Sandwiches are huge and pretty tasty. Great spot for lunch or a couple of drinks with friends and family.
Gelo P — Google review
I've been going to Leggets for many years, with my wife, our respective families, and friends. We always go daytime to sit outside, so can't speak for the night life. Our last visit was typical: the patio is lovely, the service is terrible, the pizza is great, steak bites were good, the drinks are okay, and we got a couple of bad clams out of our two orders. Once you get your food and drink, it's relaxing. If you are considering going, this is what you get. We are aware and always return. Go figure.
James W — Google review
Had a great time at this bar. It was full of people all ages. It was very hospitable, albeit very loud. The food was better than what you would expect from a place like this.
Jonathan B — Google review
Best apps were the potato wedges, spinach and artichoke dip, and wings. Clams and shrimp were good and mozzarella sticks were typical to any other place. Bingo was being played while we ate which was cool to see.
Louis ( — Google review
Favorite dinner spot- we hit it several times during our weeks vacation and the food is great. The menu has narrowed a bit over the years, but what they offer has always been high quality. Great times in the bar after dinner as well, and they usually have decent live music in the outdoor dining area. My only suggestion is to open up the beer selection outside- the indoor and outdoor beer menus are not the same which can be a little strange having to switch products if you are waiting for an outside table at the inside bar...
Marc S — Google review
A staple from my childhood I'm glad to see Leggetts still going strong. I grew up in Manasquan so Saturdays at the beach and a Leggetts dinner were a must! After I was 21 I would be here most nights with friends to close the bar down and enjoy the weekly specials. Even 10 years later I love to see that the atmosphere hasn't changed. Great bar seating, friendly staff, amazing bartenders. Strap in for a wild night of bingo on Thursdays or enjoy some live music on the patio during the weekend, you can't go wrong here. Menu has the staples, id highly recommend the pizza (paired with a Miami Vice (floater of course)). Truly a Jersey Shore experience if you ever find yourself in the area I can't speak enough good things about this place

Nestled along the picturesque Manasquan River, The Wharfside Seafood & Patio Bar is your go-to spot for a laid-back dining experience that celebrates classic seafood dishes. With stunning water views and ample outdoor seating, this venue invites you to unwind while enjoying a locally inspired menu paired with creative cocktails. Whether you're in the mood for fresh lobster or local catches, The Wharfside offers an array of delectable options that cater to every palate.
Great ambience, even inside, if you love being by the water! Our server, Nick, was kind, patient and attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meals with the highlights being the Apricot Chicken, crab-stuffed flounder, the lobster bisque & the volcano shrimp. Side note: the Caesar salad came with a cute presentation but the leaves are left long and you have to cut up the salad yourself. (See pic) I didn’t mind it but my husband wasn’t a fan of having to do that. Wasn’t a big deal, just worth noting.

A new find for date night with me and my husband. Absolutely love the outside dining the view of the water ideal. The food the stand outs the zeppole starter delightful, the classic ceasar salad perfect summer salad, the oysters outstanding the best oysters hands down me and my husband ever had. Great experience we will be back again.

I don't know how I never came here before. This place is absolutely amazing. I stopped in for a quick lunch over the Labor Day weekend. When I walked in I got a wonderful greeting by the hostess and she was nice enough to accommodate me for outdoor dining as I am a solo diner. I got such a lovely view of the water and it was so nice seeing the boats go by. My server was Ariana and she was friendly and attentive. I wasn't too hungry so I opted for a lighter meal so I got the orange salmon and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. I also loved the zeppole starter where I ended up eating the whole basket. Menu options here are great and are priced accordingly. The restaurant itself inside and out is beautiful, clean and very spacious. They also have plenty of onsite parking. Overall, I was very pleased by my first experience and I will definitely come back here again in the future....😋

I’ve been to the wharfside several times and the experience is pretty consistent. Lovely atmosphere, good service, good drinks, but lackluster food. I’ve had my share of overcooked flavorless steaks, undercooked seafood, and lobster rolls with shells throughout. How does a seafood restaurant consistently screw up seafood? My boyfriend said his lobster roll was so chewy it was getting stuck in his teeth. While the prices are on par with other restaurants in the area, I feel you could really get a lot more for your money elsewhere.

Jenny didn’t only give amazing service; the restaurant closed at 9pm, she said I’ll take that table! @ 8:45pm when the host was reluctant to seat any more tables. We ordered appetizers, entrees, desert with espresso and everything was perfect. Thank you for being an all star Jenny!

Came here visiting from Dallas. No reservations accepted. Waited about 40 minutes on a Friday evening. Requested patio near water. Great views! Started with the sesami ahi tuna which was a bit overcooked. Good flavor but just seared way too much. I ordered the 3lb lobster which was humongous and exactly what I wanted! You can't get lobsters that big in Texas (no surprise there) so I had to take advantage of the opportunity! I barely finished but thoroughly enjoyed myself. The place got really busy but it was a fun and scenic seafood experience. Highly recommend.

Martell's Tiki Bar is a vibrant beachfront dance club located in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. It offers tropical drinks, a raised deck with ocean views, and live band performances. Known as 'The Jersey Shores Island Getaway,' this tiki bar is the perfect spot to continue the weekend fun on a Monday during the summer. With its prime location right on a pier extending into the ocean, visitors can enjoy outdoor seating with stunning water views.
What a fun night!!! Our company hosted an event here and Oh Boy!!!! We had a blast!!! The music is great the atmosphere is awesome you can sink in your toes to the sand and watch waves while eating, space is huge and can accommodate hundreds of people, the food is decent we are served BBQ style buffet, the 2 free alcoholic drinks is weak but we ask the bar tender to put more alcohol and he’s nice to do so. We will comeback for sure with more friends.

My family had spent the early afternoon on the boardwalk and wanted to have lunch, and we all agreed to get some pizza. We ordered a large pie. Oh boy, this was a super extra large pie. There was a surprise on how expensive the pie was. Seasonal boardwalk prices, I guess. Our expectations were higher than usual based on what we had paid. It was ok. It wasn't the best, but very good. We did take 2 slices with us for later. The slice didn't bend even though the slice was approximately 2 inches longer than "normal" slices. Good flavor. A bit more cheese than sauce. Sauce was seasoned well. Crust could have a bit more sauce. The location has many attractions. A bar. A band area. Dining area. Somewhere in the back must have been the tiki bar, and who knew what else they had. 😆 The place is huge and can handle all kinds of parties. Too bad a great place like this doesn't serve ice cold Coca-Cola.

Crazy ambiance! We loved the sushi and the shrimp cocktail. The bartender was wonderful. The music was more entertainment than dancing. The crowd was really drunk. Lots of crazy behavior. Not sure we would return. Gets crowded very quickly.

Comfortable and chill is how I describe this outdoor gem. The service was attentive and warm. We got a dozen oysters with margaritas. For the main lunch dishes we went grill onions with chedder burger and lobster roll both with fries! Very tasty on a hot humid day. But who's complaining when frozen margaritas staring at you!

If you ever want to brave the weekend crowd at the Jersey shore boardwalk, be sure to visit martels Tiki Bar. Wander out the pier to a couple hundred feet from the ocean. Grab a bar table or sit at the bar, only the locals know of this spot. Worth all the grief getting here. You can also do a beach badge and access the beach. Very civilized summer fun. Be sure to bring your partner. Best shared with friends.

I love Tiki every year. I feel safe with their tight security and bar entry system. I always grab a spot under a palm and order frosty drinks 🍹 that are quality mixtures with the right ratios. The best one imo is the espresso and the pina colada comes in 2nd. The food is good. A burger with mushrooms came with a lot of crisp hot fries. The ceviche was delicious. I miss it already and will definitely be back again next year.

This bar is one of the best Tiki bar hang outs of all time!! Great atmosphere, diverse age groups, great bands! Good food and drinks too.
Lisa B — Google review
Great atmosphere, lively vibes, good food, excellent beach and ocean views. A mainstay when visiting the beach. Reasonably priced. There's plenty of seating options: open indoor seating on the boardwalk, a small deck seating to watch people walk by on the boardwalk, closed in air conditioned "restaurant" inside the restaurant-- a great getaway if you want to cool off; pier seating to catch the ocean breeze, watch beachcombers, and gaze at the ocean waves. Downstairs there's a bar and some seating to hangout closer on the beach. In the Summer, on Mondays, you can jam out in this area like a night club, but in the daytime. It's a true dance party scene from 12pm-5pm you'll drink, eat, and be merry under the sun, with live DJ'S playing hit dance music that'll get your booty shaking. It's $20 and you'll get a wrist band so you can come and go. It's popping and gets packed, as you can see in the video... and this day wasn't as packed as it usually gets. People take "mental health" PTO to hangout. 🤪💃

Nestled along the scenic riverfront, Water Street Bar & Grille in Toms River, New Jersey, is a vibrant American eatery that promises an unforgettable dining experience. With a menu featuring delectable seafood and juicy steaks, this lively spot also boasts an impressive selection of drinks to complement your meal. The atmosphere is enhanced by live music performances that create a fun and energetic vibe for guests.
My husband and I had a wonderful evening celebrating our wedding anniversary here. The live music created an amazing vibe, and both the beet & goat cheese salad and the short ribs were absolutely outstanding! 😋

My wife, sister-in-law and I visited this place for the first time. It's a large sprawling restaurant and bar right on the Toms River. There are multiple bars inside and out. The large outdoor patio where we ate has nice umbrella covered tables. The food was very good, and our waitress was attentive without being overbearing. It's really a great place to spend a nice day out on the patio. We can't wait to visit again.. Highly recommend it!

I ordered a pizza so I didn't look like a total schmuck while being stood up. Lol. It was okay but not anywhere near the price. I suppose that's not really their specialty though. The View was pretty nice. The servers kept coming back as they should. No complaints

Our family went to the Water Street Bar & Grille on Saturday for an early Father’s day celebration. This was our first time there, but it won’t be our last. Our server, Hannah was so nice, and made some great recommendations. For starters, our appetizers were the Calamari, but with a twist. Not your same ole, same ole marinara sauce. This fried calamari had a caribbean flare. Everyone loved it. Plus the Caribbean nachos, such a great spin on a classic dish. We had soups, Lobster bisque… loaded with lobster and a great crouton on the top. And our daughter, New England Clam chowder…fantastic. The dinners were wonderful and all very nice size portions for the price. Dessert was great! Especially the Key Lime Pie. We will definitely return, when we can eat out on the deck, to enjoy a wonderful and the sun is finally shining again, down the shore.

This was my 1st time coming here. The pizza was so huge it needed its own plate. The service was great. Our waitress was very friendly. Would definitely come back again

If you are at Seaside Heights Park to enjoy the beach and broadwalk, this is a great laid-back restaurant for families. They have a kids menu and their pizza slices are huge. The Siracha chicken was a bit dry (needed more sauce) but the eggplant caprese sandwich was perfect. The claim linguini is good too and all prices were reasonable (most adult entrees were less than $21). Great to stop by after the beach and before exploring the broadwalk.
ROSElin831 — Google review
The pizza was definitely large and would have been an ok price for something that large if it was better quality. We ordered a half cheese, and half mushroom pizza. When it arrived it reminded me of the bad pizza we were served at my elementary school. There was also a ridiculous amount of mushrooms on the mushroom half of the pizza. It wasn’t a bargain so much as gross. The number of mushrooms on my wife’s slice was more than the number you’d see on an entire large pizza elsewhere. The waiter did a decent job waiting on the table, the atmosphere was ok for a sports bar/pizza place, and the appetizers we got (soft pretzels, and cheese balls) were decent. The pizza was so bad that it was kind of ruined the last night of our vacation.

On the busy hustle and bustle of THE Jersey Shore boardwalk, at the southern end, lies the most relaxing, family oriented pizza joint that makes a New Yorker feel right at home. Incredible pizza. Incredible food selection, massive dining area that easily accommodate my large family, and service that makes Michelin Rated restaurants look like the night shift at the local Taco Bell. From mussels, to nachos, too traditional Italian eats, you will not be disappointed. Size of the pie aside, being so big that NASA gets worried when they toss their dough, the value and quality is beyond that of anything else you will ever find in the entire state of Jersey. You came highly recommended. And I’m glad I took that recommendation. In fact, we loved it so much, we went twice for dinner and once for lunch on the same vacation. Good on you, Sawmill.

When I was a teenager I worked on the seaside boardwalk. I worked the concessions, I was a spook in a haunted house, I filled soda machines and worked a water slide. All the workers on the boardwalk would eat at the sawmill. You could get a slice the size of a medium pizza and a coke for $1.50. It's a little more now but its the same pizza and atmosphere. It was pretty cool going back 50 years later and seeing the old place. I'm glad it survived the storm. If you are in seaside you need to eat and get a beer at the sawmill. It's boardwalk history the way God meant it to be.

The biggest slice of pizza ever. Worth walking past the other pizza options for. 100% recommend the Sawmill. Cooked to perfection. Free garlic, oregano and other toppings available at the counter.

Was on vacation. Felt comfortable there nice local beers on tap, on boardwalk, decent pizza. If you drive there, lot next to restaurant and beach; where boardwalk ends. Pay for parking, as police (in Seaside Heights) patrol.

When they say big pizza, they really meant it. The pizzas are big and delicious, the garlic knots are also big and equally as good as the pizza, and the people serving us were pretty nice they gave us extra garlic knot sauce free of charge.

C-View Inn, located in Cape May, is the oldest tavern in the area and a favorite among locals. Despite its lack of windows, it offers a cozy atmosphere to enjoy local flavors and drinks. The establishment is known for its excellent wings with various sauce options and a selection of beverages including Cape May IPA. Although some may consider it a dive bar, it holds historical significance dating back to the mid-1800s when it was known as the Harbor House.
This place is the best that Cape May has to offer when it comes to a economic restaurant with good food. Decorated like an old-time Irish pub, it offers a variety of good American food combined with seafood dishes. They have a vast variety of wines, beers and liquors and the service is spectacular. Brianna, our waitress, was super fast, efficient and friendly. A combination that can rarely be found in services. In short, C-View Inn may not be a fancy place, but in my humble opinion, if you want to have a good time enjoying a good meal without having to pay an arm and a leg for it, this is the best you can find for miles around. Note: You HAVE to try the lobster bisque!!!

Very busy night and a short wait. The hostess was pleasant, but the waitress, not so much. She seemed annoyed to have to wait on us from the moment we sat down. The food was good, and very reasonable priced. It was very hot out that day. Temps were in the 90’s all week so it was pretty steamy inside the restaurant. We all finished our drinks very quickly. The waitress never asked if we’d like more. When I finally flag her down to ask, she again was annoyed and once the bill arrived, we discovered that there are no complimentary refills on soda. That seems absurd considering it was so hot in there. At least offer some water. Who wants to eat without a drink. Although it’s could be a great little spot to go, I’d choose somewhere else that would provide a more pleasant experience.

Busy spot on the corner of the building. Came on slider night but I was not a fan of the burgers. The wings were really good. Hot Honey Garlic was my choice. The steak sandwich was ordered and another family member liked it. Plenty of beer on tap and place gets crowded quick. Negative feedback, the stairs are steep coming down. If you are not careful you will eat the cement. I’ve heard multiple people falling and I’ve witnessed it happen in front of me.

We were here Friday for lunch. It shouldn't have taken 5 minutes to get our drinks with only 8 other patrons. Our food arrived in reasonable time. Delicious as expected! My issue comes from the wait staff. Our waitress never once asked if our food was okay despite passing us at least a dozen times. My wife needed a sharp knife to cut her meal but we were treated as tho we were invisible. We could have used another drink but, again, we were ignored. I suggest that you don't wait until you deliver the bill to ask if we want anything else. Don't get me wrong, I tipped but definitely not as much as I normally would have. I am seriously considering only getting carryout from this point forward.

After looking on Google for somewhere to eat before touring the town we decided to stop here. Greg the owner saw my daughter was upset and not cooperating to the point where we almost left. He came outside, helped calm her down, gave her a pink bracelet to match her outfit and we managed to be able to go in and enjoy a great meal! I highly recommend the buffalo chicken pizza! It was awesome!

Not the way it used to be. Food was hit and miss Service was next to none. (Not busy. Only 8 other people in the entire place.) Atmosphere was eh. Used to come here a lot years ago. Great food and service back then. I now see why it wasn't crowded. It's a shame.

Nestled in a prime location overlooking the vibrant boardwalk, Watermark is a chic bar and lounge that effortlessly combines sophistication with a laid-back atmosphere. With its inviting fireplace and spacious waterfront deck, it’s an ideal spot to unwind while enjoying expertly crafted cocktails and delectable tapas.
PLEASE READ THIS!!! My date and I went to Watermark on Saturday, May 17. The portion sizes for little bites is a great amount, they give a lot of food. Tasted great, highly recommend the sliders and steak skewers as well as the pretzel bites. Great music with a good blend of 90's hip hop/r&b and the new stuff. I was definitely feeling the grown and sexy mood as well as the lively nightlife atmosphere you would expect for being down the shore. Very Romantic and sexy vibe with the lighting, breeze coming through the open doors, and fireplace. The MOST important thing, however, was the manager or owner's (I wish i had gotten his name) willingness to help me retrieve my phone. I live an hour away from Asbury and didn't realize until the NEXT day that i had left my phone at the lounge. Even though this gentleman was running a private event (a wedding!!) he allowed for us to text him and be in contact with him and he found my phone and gave it to the door man. Thank you so much for your kindness in helping me recover my phone. My friends and I will be throwing you a lot of business, happily!

Watermark is such a wonderful spot to grab a drink while in Asbury. The atmosphere is simply amazing, let's start there. This place will be quite busy with people, but really emphasizes the "lounge" aspect of a cocktail bar and offers many places to sit down with friends-- it's never a challenge to find a place to gather with friends even on a busy weekend night. The outdoor section is really nice, offering a view of the Stone Pony from away, and free live music! The drinks from the cocktail menu are amazing! I really enjoyed the Violetta, and a blueberry cocktail that they had on the menu. There were many I wanted to try that I didn't get a chance to, so definitely coming back. Nothing was crazy expensive either standard cocktail prices. Service was fast and efficient, which is very impressive for a cocktail bar that stayed consistently crowded around the whole night. Overall, a favorite spot of mine to visit. The place stays busy but there's always a spot to sit and never a long wait for a really nice drink. 5 stars.

Last night I had roughly 30 friends meet me at Watermark for my birthday. Many living local were there for the first time. Everyone was blown away by the space. Kristy & Michelle took care of everyone and that couldn’t have been easy. Everyone was raving about the food! We had a great night so grateful for the experience. We did have a situation with the manager on duty, he spoke to one senior woman in the party completely unprofessional. Granted we did make an error and she did apologize, heck we all did. He had No couth whatsoever. Many of the attendees were floored. Some that witnessed the situation decided to leave even a party next to us of 4 women from NY. Decided not to give Watermark any more of the $. Now granted I have been many time to this establishment and never had a problem. I’m grateful for all that they provide and I will return.

Attended a wedding here over the weekend. I have a really severe gluten allergy so emailed in advance to ensure it could be accommodated - chef Mo took INCREDIBLE care of me. Walked me through all safe food items on the phone & then day of event - Mo checked in before & after every course to make sure I was loving the food/letting me know what out of the options was safe for me. Prevented all cross contact fully and even offered to make me gluten free pasta if I was still hungry! Not only was it super safe everything was delicious. 10/10 recommend - all around incredible time. THANK YOU CHEF MO!!!!

Nice place to hangout. Great ocean view. Wide range of drinks to choose. When we arrived, we were waiting to be seated. After a while we found out other people just went in straight and we followed. Ducktown Tavern & Liquors, also known as The Duck Hut, is a popular hangout spot in Atlantic City that offers a family-friendly atmosphere and great prices. It's open 24/7 and features three different happy hour slots to cater to various schedules, making it convenient for those in the casino industry. With its classic American dishes and drinks, including a variety of salads, wings, seafood, burgers, and pizza, it's an ideal place for lunch or unwinding after work.
This bar is perfect for catching a game and getting some really damn good wings. Our waitress was awesome, I really wish I could remember her name. Whatever you order, get those Andy wings. Holy crap they were good. The fries were just ok, I prefer a crispier fry. The atmosphere was full of energy during the football game, and the beers were cold. Good vibes all around

Mediocre food. How’s it possible to mess up such an easy dish so horribly? This felt like its own layer of hell. Wanted to cry. No seasoning on anything including the fresh from freezer fries. Would not eat again.

If you're in Atlantic City and looking for a laid-back spot to grab a drink and a bite, Ducktown Tavern and its outdoor bar, The Duck Hut, is a great find. It was one of the few places open early, making it a lifesaver for early birds or those looking for a pre-lunch hangout. The highlight of my visit was their unforgettable “Heart Attack Burger”—a tower of indulgent fried goodness packed with mozzarella, onions, fries, chicken, and bacon. Served with Diet Coke for those on a diet ;). It's not for the faint of heart, but if you're craving something deliciously over-the-top, this is your spot. The outdoor setup at The Duck Hut is perfect for relaxing. Just two blocks from the Boardwalk and Tanger Outlets, it's conveniently located and offers a great vibe. The outdoor games, like Corn Hole and Giant Connect Four, add an element of fun, and the TVs scattered around ensure you won't miss a game while you're there. With ice-cold drinks, solid food, and a breezy, friendly atmosphere, Ducktown Tavern and The Duck Hut make for an excellent stop in the heart of Atlantic City. Whether you're winding down after some shopping or starting your day with a hearty meal, this spot has you covered!

Night club
D'jais Oceanview Bar & Cafe is a legendary beachside institution that's been open since 1959. Considering its long history and varied music lineup, it's no wonder D'jais is a popular spot for all-night dancing and casual drinks with friends. There's also plenty of affordable eats on offer, so you can refuel while keeping the party going.
D’jais Oceanview Bar and Cafe was on point. I rolled in looking for some good food (and possibly check out the nightlife scene). There wasn’t much going on (no dancing… no dj digging in the crates). A few people were chilling and watching a few football games. The small crowd was welcoming. I got my grub on. After all, iI visited this place on a Sunday night, in the beginning of November. (Summer weather and vibe was already a distant memory.). Regardless, I wasn’t disappointed. D’jais Oceanview Bar and Cafe’s food, service, and atmosphere were good. Hopefully, I will experience what this place is like, when the dance floor is bumping. I heard great things about D’jais Oceanview Bar and Cafe, while I was chilling there. Now, I have to figure out the ideal time to revisit this bar. Blessings!

This is the best place in the world. If you don’t think this is the best place in the world, I can’t relate to you. D’Jais is a figment of our imagination, it’s a place where anything could happen at any time, you never know what your experience will bring. I’ve dedicated about a decade of my life to this place and I hope I have brought D’Jais the same joy it has brought me. I met my bf here, my roommate here, my best friends here, etc. Long live the greatest jersey shore bar of all time

Stopped here on vacation in Belmar. Waited for quite some time before a hostess appeared, was able to get outdoor seating, which was nice, as it is right off the beach. The food was okay, not really remarkable ( I got a grilled chicken sandwhich). It was pricey for two people (we each had two frozen drinks as well as our sandwiches), and the total before the tip was $94, which was steep for a rather disappointing sandwich (super basic, not much flavor, and came on a bland hoagie roll). The atmosphere was nice, however, and while we didn't get to stay for the band, there was live music and I get the impression that the night life would be decent. I would probably stop in and have a drink (the frozen sunset daiquiri was DELICIOUS) but I dont know if i would grab food again.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend. I was excited for dinner after looking at the menu beforehand because they have some great options. However, my excitement plummeted as I stepped onto their premises. The hostess was difficult to find as we were waiting in the wrong area without being told for 5 minutes. My drink (traditional mojito) was the worst mojito I have ever gotten in my entire life. I could tell that the person who made it had no experience in mixology and they were lazy. The lobster bisque was horrible. It looked like tomato soup and had zero lobster. The waitress who placed the soup down spilled half of it out of the bowl so that was a waste of money. The burgers were good and brought up my experience at this restaurant that is run by 30 high schoolers with no serving experience. The bus boy watched me eat my burger for 30 seconds before asking if I was finished with a plate and reached over me to grab it before I could answer. Definitely never coming back, I hope this establishment works on their horrible service, the cooks get fired, and their bartenders learn what a mojito is. Thanks!

The worst experience ever. The females who take the covers were rude and hostile. They had a horrible attitude and immediately ruined my mood. The male bouncer right inside the doors proceeded to scream in my female friends face which I find absolutely disgusting. The staff was HORRIBLE and I can say with complete confidence that I will never be back. Spend your money elsewhere, they don’t deserve any of it.

Really sad. I really liked this place. After the beach, I pulled up a table outside, and as they were eating, I saw they'd put down two $20 bills, one $5 bill, and the rest, for a total of $50. Then they kicked us out of the bar and accused us as if we hadn't left the money. It's very dishonest to do this without proof, without evidence. In bad taste.

The one big bouncer is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I’ve never seen a grown man act like that in a work setting before. An oversized man baby yelling and screaming, undoubtedly roid rage, it was very disturbing his coworkers allow that behavior. Doesn’t seem like it was his first time acting this way simply by how others were talking to him, trying to calm him down. When he threw his fit his coworkers came over to physically stop him from throwing even more of a tantrum, a grown 40 something year old man. Seriously will never be coming back and will be 100% honest with anyone that inquires about my experience here. No room to dance, completely sardine’d with everybody else in there, other people’s drinks running down your legs all night. Horrible experience and super disappointing considering I went here for my birthday and was accosted by said bouncer for being sent around to different/wrong lines by other bouncers. Yall need to do better and fire that man who clearly cannot regulate his emotions properly, he has no business acting that way at his place of work.

The Columns is a Victorian-era restaurant with breathtaking ocean views located in Avon-by-the-Sea. The menu features different choices for everyone, at a reasonable price, and the drinks are classic beachy style.
My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose The Columns for Avon, our 104th town. If you're looking for an "old school" Jersey Shore dining experience, you have to visit The Columns! It's been a summer bar & restaurant since 1883 located in a Victorian era mansion. The indoor section has live music and turns into more of a bar/club scene at night. On a warm summer evening, we sat on the outdoor patio overlooking the ocean for dinner, even as the band played indoors. The atmosphere feels like a trip back in time when the entire shore was lined with grand old buildings like this. Food & cocktails were on point. We had the Surf-n-Turf roll with lobster & steak, fried calamari, Seafood Mediterranean, and a Lobster roll. Service was great, and the crew was excited when they heard about our challenge.

06/26/2025: It's been at least 10 years since our last visit. We enjoyed Coconut Shrimp & Shrimp Cocktail appe's. Entree's were a Tuna Taco and a Shrimp Taco. Excellent! We sat outside on the porch. There was a cool breeze.

I came here for lunch after spending most of the morning on the beach this weekend. I had a 20-minute wait time for a table since it was pouring raining, and the staff had to finish setting up and drying the patio. Once I was seated, I was greeted very warmly by my server, Grace. She took my order, but I had a long wait time to get my food, which was understandable since the unexpected down pour of rain caused delays. I ordered a Bloody Mary, which kind of tasted watered down, but overall, it was decent. The bacon wrapped scallops and the shrimp tacos tasted really good and had a great flavor, but it seemed like small portions were given, especially for the prices. They have a decent limited menu, and the prices do seem a tad high, in my opinion, but you get what you pay for. I was seated in the patio area, so I didn't get to see the inside of the restaurant. In spite of the rain, it looks like you can have a nice view of the beach area. Overall, even though the service was a tad slow my first time here, which was beyond the restaurants control, I enjoyed the food and I will come here again the next time I am in the area.

Nicole our server was AWESOME ON POINT, she had cute earrings. I got the bacon wrapped scallops which I go for every year I feel like they should be adding more than 4. Like 6 would be nice.. the coconut shrimp. Had way more.. very yummy along with a lobster roll. Would have been nice if they had options over than French fries. They should ask if we want butter on the side with our roll and lemon. For the flavor of it all. Got the balcony view. Very lovely you can feel the old hotel vibes when you walk through to the bathroom.. along with the ambiance and plants.. love coming here along with the watermelon mojito on the side. Thanks nicole for your fast service.

My first and last experience, was disastrous, I ordered the lobster special, food was room temperature, I can overlook that, but opening up the pre cracked tail, it was covered in green slime, the tomalley. Bringing this to the attention of the waitress, Emily, her response was that’s how they come. When I requested a seafood fork, she returned 5 minutes later with a desert fork, at this point I gave up trying to retrieve anything of the meal. As I was hosting a couple of clients, I didn’t want to create an uncomfortable situation. I called the following day 6/26., any received the same indifferent attitude. I might add the waitress still received a 20% tip.

The ocean was calling so I set out with a companion to walk the boards and check out the Columns. Easy free parking about a block away. No same day reservations or anytime for two, so when we returned from our walk the place was packed outside. Inside quiet. Bathrooms clean. We were seated outside at one of the last two available tables. I would say even the worst table wasn’t too bad on the porch🤣. Our server Kate was delightful. Her timing perfect. The coconut shrimp appetizer had 8 pieces and could have been a whole meal. My companion enjoyed her tuna tacos and the large crab cake I ate most of was yum. I did remove the top after one bite and fork and knife the rest. Drinks 👍🏼. Price up there but worth the experience.

Nestled in the heart of Long Beach Island, Hudson House Bar is a beloved local gem that has been charming visitors for years. This historic spot, once a speakeasy during Prohibition, boasts an inviting dive bar vibe with its wood paneling and quirky decor featuring inflatable sharks and vintage beer memorabilia. The atmosphere is lively yet laid-back, making it perfect for everyone from retirees enjoying shuffleboard to younger crowds engaging in arcade games or darts as the night unfolds.
Always an adventure at Hudson House and great entertainment sits around the bar. Juke box could use an update, however still something for everyone to listen to.

If I could, I would give it zero stars. One of the bartenders (wish I knew his name) is very rude. You could stand there for 10 minutes if your face is not familiar you’re going to keep standing there. I’ve lived here a little over a year. I’ve only gone there a handful of times and every time not a good experience. This last time we went we brought our friends and I can honestly say it will definitely be the last. One customer literally got served twice and we were still overlooked/ ignored. I’ve worked in the restaurant bar industry and I understand it can get busy and you have to wait a bit but being rude to customers is unacceptable. A few weeks back my nephew went there, ordered a drink and didn’t realize it was a cash bar. The bartender, which I wish I knew his name dumped the drink in the sink and said cash only and walked away. He could’ve told him that the ATM was when you first walked in. When he got home and told me the story I wasn’t shocked. I like to give places a few tries because everyone can have a bad day and that is why it has taken me a few bad experiences before writing this review. Your customers pay your bills… be nice!
CurlyQ — Google review
Definitely agree with other reviews about bad attitude bartenders. We were there on a weeknight and it was not all that busy, but the bartenders are the type that just never look around to see if people are waiting. We could have gone to another bar, had a drink and came back in the time it took these guys to serve us! I would definitely pass on this place as there are many other bar choices in the area with good service. They call this place "the Hud" but it should be called "the Dud."

The Osprey Night Club, a lively hotspot in the Manasquan area, has been a favorite since 1946. It was once a hotel and is known for having the World's Longest Bars. The club features live bands, DJs, and a sports bar with a casual dress code. With seasonal rooms available to book from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend, it offers an extended stay option.
5 summers ago I met met my (now) husband on the dance floor of the Osprey. This past weekend we got married and had our after party in the boom boom room. It was the perfect ending to an amazing day, as we didn’t want the party to end. Dave and Lauren could not have been more helpful in helping us pull it off. Highly recommend for any of your party needs - it’s a guaranteed good time!!

I organized a fundraiser at the Osprey for Manasquan Cares on April 12, 2025. I couldn’t have asked for the event to go any better than it did from start to finish! It was so easy and stress free communicating with the owners, Dave, Lauren and Anthony. They were present throughout the entire evening and answered any questions I had throughout the night. They were so personable and helped make the event extra special. We discussed our plan to have Take Five Band perform for the night and we arranged for two food trucks, Ragin Cajun and Harry’s Smokin’ BBQ, to sell food to our guests in the back lot. Security personnel greeted each guest promptly with smiles. They were also stationed throughout the building to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves safely. The bartenders took care of every guest efficiently. The DJ/sound manager was on point sharing reminders and transitioning smoothly from the band performing to him playing music. I can’t wait to organize another fundraiser at the Osprey. They are committed to our community and want to help out as much as possible. Everyone should support the Osprey because they truly care about us.

My father and I organized a fundraiser at the Osprey for The Vic Kubu Long Blue Line Scholarship Fund on Saturday, May 3rd. I personally could not have asked for a better experience than this one! Communicating with Dave, Lauren, and Anthony about our ideas, and then seeing them come to life, was even better than I imagined it to be. The night of the event, all staff made it their priority to help in any way that was needed, as well as make sure the participants were having a great time. Participants were allowed to bring their own food or get it delivered which was a great touch. (Even the DJ was announcing when delivery drivers were outside!) With every bar being staffed, the bartenders ensured every guest was taken care of efficiently. The DJ was a huge help with the music and making sure the questions were projected on stage correctly. We can't wait to make this an annual event and get the honor of working with The Osprey owners/staff every year. If you are looking for an amazing space to host your next event, I would look no further than here!

THE BEST! I just got married last night and we had our after party at the Osprey. My husband and I met there 6 years ago and with our wedding in the area we thought it would be so nice to finish celebrating where we first met. So many of our friends who we used to go out with at the Osprey were so excited! Dave and his team were amazing to work with and we truly had the best end to our night. They even put our names on the marquee sign outside which was so cool and fun! Thank you so much!!!!! Amanda and Pat

There’s no place I’d rather spend my Friday nights than Osprey. I went for the first time last summer and never get tired of the place. You get the best of both worlds with the live music and the boom boom room. The staff is super friendly and eager to serve you as well as have good conversations. They always take suggestions and it’s great how they give out merch and other goodies for their customers. I plan on going here for the rest of my life! PS…don’t forget to snag a few hot dogs on your way out for a late night snack

Rooney's Oceanfront Restaurant is a breezy restaurant and bar featuring a two-level deck that offers stunning ocean views. The menu includes a fixed-price option with an array of seafood dishes, including the Chef's Colossal platter stacked with shrimp cocktail, clams, oysters, and lobster. Other lobster specialties like Lobster Bisque and Angry Lobster are also available. Located near Pier Village, this outdoor bar is known for its happy hour and live music.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks, the food was mostly good, with some exceptions. Rocking shrimp appetizer was the best. Charbroiled oysters were very good. Fried goat cheese was OK. Haddock and Salmon over cauliflower were very good. Spicy pasta was great. Steak had a bit of flavor to it I didn't particularly like. Red snapper special was so-so, I wouldn't order it again.. the sides were excellent, especially mushroom risotto and roasted carrots. Drinks and desserts were very good. If I was asked to change anything I would serve espresso in an espresso cup not in an oversized one, because it takes away from the experience.

Great atmosphere. Food was good. It wasn't excessively pricey, which I appreciated. My kids enjoyed their meals and they were treated with kindness (which really impressed me). Some places don't like children especially when it's their busy days. But Rooney's seemed to enjoy having our kids dine with them. Definitely going back

Superb place. Sometimes oceanfront restaurants hide their inadequacy behind the gorgeous view. Yet, this is not the case here. Yes, the view is stunning, but they back it up with excellent food, excellent service and a warm and inviting atmosphere. Truly enjoyed our time here.

Talk about a hidden gem! Perfect ocean front restaurant with a lot of seating indoor and out. The food was fantastic and wasn’t overly priced compared to other restaurants in the area. A party of 8 with drinks only had a bill of about $700 including some appetizers. You’ll definitely need reservations well in advance but so worth it! We celebrated our wedding here and even got a free brownie to celebrate. Service wasn’t the fastest and drinks were a little on the strong side, but not worth dinging any stars because everything else makes up for it

Rooney’s is a high quality restaurant with a strong beachfront atmosphere. The food is excellent and it is pricey. The service is professional and neighborly. The bar area is large. They stock quality libations but they do not offer frozen mixed drinks. If you want an upscale place to eat delicious seafood with a very nice atmosphere, this is a good choice.

Klein's Fish Market is a charming, dockside seafood restaurant that has been delighting patrons for over 90 years. With its inviting outdoor tiki bar overlooking the river, it’s an ideal spot to unwind with friends while enjoying delicious bites like Crab Cake Sliders and Traditional Fish & Chips. The vibrant atmosphere is perfect for those looking to savor fresh seafood in a picturesque setting. While the food consistently receives rave reviews for its quality and flavor, some guests have noted occasional service hiccups.
The seafood is fresh and delicious (minimal seasonings to bring out the best of fresh seafood), and the lobster is probably the most fresh I've eaten in the US (including places famous for lobsters). The portion is big, and the prices are decent. The service is nice but slow. The atmosphere is random, while the view is industrial, overseeing 2 openable bridges, and some water. The worst is the actual dining table and the chairs we've sat on. They are like those not so good garden sets, extremely uncomfortable to sit on. Overall, it's a good place for seafood, but the wait (30 mins) and the slow service on a late weekday evening make us wonder it may not be a good idea to be here on weekends. And although it's by the water, there's practically no view. Will recommend it for food, and will revisit it.

My friends and I went to Klien Fish Market in Spring Lake NJ, excited to try a well known spot. But wow, the place was packed for a Tuesday night dinner, and it felt chaotic. The lobster bisque special was super thick, starchy, and had no flavor, like eating custard. The calamari was okay, and the seafood pasta's sauce was decent but way too watery. Nothing stood out. The waitstaff were swamped, handling too many tables. I asked for hot sauce a couple times before getting it, and service felt rushed. For a busy and famous seafood spot, the food and attention to tables need a lot of work. Might try again, but I'm skipping those dishes.

We wanted seafood for the 4th this year, so we headed to the beach. We found Klein's as a relaxed, fun place for fish. We were able to eat overlooking the waterway and enjoyed the busy but down home atmosphere. However, the portions weren't very large. My husband ordered the lobster special, and there was very little meat in the tail. Otherwise, everything was delicious and wonderful!

It's been at least 4 years since I've eaten at Klein's and it was as great as it was then. I love this place! I love sitting on the patio and looking out at the water. I love the casual and fun atmosphere and the great service. Most of all, I love the fried flounder and fried shrimp platter that I ordered. My flounder was the freshest imaginable. It tasted like it just came off the boat. The shrimp were the perfect size and cooked perfectly. My family and I have tried so many places at the shore, and we haven't found any fresh fish that compares to Klein's. I do have a slight criticism- which is that our waffle fries were not hot. Our fish was- which is much more important. We probably got some fries that had been sitting out for a while. The coleslaw was really good, but not cold enough, as if it too had been sitting out rather than in the fridge. But the coleslaw was still really good. All in all, I can't wait to go back to get that fantastic fried flounder and fried shrimp. Oh- my son ordered a fried shrimp and fried scallop platter, and he loved it, too!
Judy K — Google review
We came here lunch, for appetizers we ordered the clams, oysters and fried clam strips, and for lunch we ordered the tropical roll, sevens roll and the sashimi roll. Everything was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent. Very cool atmosphere with the outdoor dining.

We got calamari (but I'm saying like a north jersey italian you know? like "galamaaaad"), blackened red snapper, and a cod sandwich. Everything was excellent. Whenever I'm in a shore town I *need* to eat some kind of fried fish. The flavors were great, good portions, prices a little on the higher side but you just have to accept nowadays that eating out is apparently a privilege for rich people only. That said, I'm happy with my meal, but that's not to say it was a happy meal. Our server Luigi (forgot his name) was nice and attentive. My only issue is it was hot on the patio and their fans didn't quite reach us, but Luigi was kind enough to tilt one of them toward us for some relief. I'd go again.

I am not one to be snotty or picky about food. I mean I love my McDonald's and I love a five-star restaurant so I'm not snooty as far as food goes I'll pretty much eat anything but..... this place was almost inedible. I mean maybe other people's food was good and the sushi looked okay but as you can see from the photos I got the fish and chips there was no fish it was all mush coating around very tiny little dried up overcooked pieces of cod that I literally had to scrape off of the dough. I also had a taste of the lobster bisque and it was so bitter, yes, I said bitter if you can believe that lobster bisque could be bitter... I had to send it back. This is a TOURIST TRAP for sure...very expensive, the view is so so.. you're basically looking at a train station and an overpass so not really much to see in the way of the sunset. My waiter was very nice but it looked like he had way too many tables and I had to keep putting my hands up to ask for things like napkins and ketchup things that should be on the table LOL anyway I recommend many other places like Atlantic Fisheries for fish and chips. Amazing

Located in a historic 1874 hotel, Buckalew's Restaurant & Tavern offers a relaxed atmosphere with porch seating and a menu featuring seafood and steaks. The cozy tavern in Beach Haven has a neighborhood feel and serves comfort food, including vegan-friendly options like hearty bowls and plant-based burgers. The establishment also boasts an indoor bar, light-filled atrium, and garden patio.
Had a pleasant evening on a cold December night that was warmed by the friendly service and the festive Holiday atmosphere. A good selection of beers and special cocktails also helped to make us get comfortable. We started with their celebrated New England Clam Chowder, a little too thick but very flavorful, that was followed with a healthy house salad. For dinner I had the fish and chips, which was outstanding, the very fresh cod like filet was served batter fried and done perfectly with a little malt vinegar topping it off. We also had the French dipped steak sandwich, the best on LBI according to the eater. Glad we made it for dinner finally to this renowned LBI favorite, been here for drinks before but never for dinner since it gets very crowded in summer, we will most definitely be back.

Nestled in the heart of Beach Haven, Buckalew’s Restaurant & Tavern is more than just a meal—it’s a moment. Housed in a beautifully preserved 1874 hotel, the ambiance strikes a perfect balance between laid-back beach vibes and timeless elegance. Whether you’re unwinding on the porch with a cocktail or settling into the cozy tavern interior, the atmosphere invites you to linger. The menu is a celebration of American classics with a coastal twist. Their seafood dishes are a standout—fresh, flavorful, and plated with care. The crab cakes are golden and crisp, with just the right touch of spice, while the grilled salmon melts in your mouth. For steak lovers, the ribeye is a revelation: juicy, expertly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Service is warm and attentive without being overbearing. The staff seem genuinely proud of the place, and it shows in their thoughtful recommendations and easy smiles. Prices are reasonable for the quality—expect to spend around $20–30 per person, which feels like a steal given the experience. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Long Beach Island, Buckalew’s is the kind of spot that makes you want to come back before you’ve even left. It’s not just dinner—it’s a slice of shore-town soul.

We chose this for the vegetarian options. It doesn’t seem like that kind of place, but there were actually a few good choices in addition to the usual salad, pizza or pasta. We started with the brussels sprout appetizer which was delicious and then had the Buddha bowl with tofu and chickpeas, and the other person had the black bean burger. The Buddha bowl was with Asian flavors and delicious. The black bean burger was simple and more than acceptable. What you would expect. The place is big and typically busy. There is a bar scene as well with people watching the ball game. The staff was friendly and prompt. Would go again.

Buckalews is a great place to go for a nice dinner. Very convenient and easy to get to with it being close to the beach. In door and outdoor seating. My fiancé and I were walking by and were attracted by the beautiful flowers hanging outside and the great smell from the kitchen, so we decided to check it out. The decorations are nautical and classy. It is nice but also relaxed. What i really liked about this restaurant is the menu had a lot of variety so if you come with a group you shouldn't have to worry about finding something for everyone. We were seated very quickly which is always a plus. The staff was friendly and helpful fielding our questions about the menu. The wine, espresso martini and appetizers were excellent. I definitely reccomend the calamari. We both ordered the steak and we were satisfied. For the price and convenient location I say it's a solid spot. Thanks Buckalews

We went on a Wednesday and there was no wait. The servers and staff were nice and accommodating. My friends are gluten free and they had a ton of different options. For an appetizer we got 12 chicken wings with buffalo sauce. The wings were $25 which was way over priced and the buffalo sauce was extremely spicy. I got the sushi (Philadelphia roll and miso soup) which were both really good however they served them in small portions. We also got a Buck's burger but the burger was dry and not seasoned. Then we got a gluten free margherita pizza which was very good. Overall this was a pretty good restaurant on the island.

Had ribs. Food was ok. I just prefer my ribs a little more chewy. They seemed to be boiled first so they were a little mushy. Next time I will stick with a burger. Good sides and I had an appetizer off the sushi menu which was delicious. Good drinks. Excellent server.

The indoor/outdoor space exudes a fun Key West vibe, offering mason jar drinks and a full pub menu. With almost 20 years of outdoor dining experience, it's a favorite spot for seafood specials and an impressive selection of beers.
We were waiting for a table but ended up sitting and dining at the inside bar. I want to start out by saying that the bar staff is WONDERFUL. So attentive and fun to chat with. Down to earth. The food was great and the drinks were better. Had a fun time with the “sundown shot” and enjoyed it enough to ask them to make it into a drink. So unfortunately I don’t know what to ask for next time, but I really enjoyed it! My first drink was a raspberry mojito and that was FANTASTIC. Cheers to Back Bay Ale House for a fun filled dining experience at their indoor bar 😊😊😊

The food and vibes were excellent here! We came here for dinner as a group of 9, and though they technically are able to accommodate large groups, we weren't seated until at least 40 minutes after requesting a table (they initially estimated 20 minutes). Additionally, food came out very slow and scattered. But the dishes were excellent and we didn't have any trouble once the food arrived! The atmosphere was also fantastic as we were out by the water and were able to watch the sun set as we dined. The photos in this post are not all the dishes, but I feel personally that the Seafood Sampler Platter could have had a little more on the plate. For the price that it was, I was expecting a little more. But it tasted great regardless. And the cucumber salad on the side was delicious! Would love to come back here another time, but with a much smaller group!

I love this place. I've been here a couple of times and sat at the bar. The last time I was here I just had gotten off of the Atlantic City Cruise Line Dolphin tour. I found a seat at the bar. The bartenders are very nice and give great service. I ordered a burger and it came out exactly how I asked it to be prepared. Something about being near the water just makes me feel so much more relaxed and this cute spot is right next to the water period and you can see the boats coming in and out as you enjoy your food and beverage.

The food, the service and the view were all absolutely fantastic. They have an excellent drink menu and our dinner was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the ale house garlic shrimp starter 😍😍 We WILL be back.

We sat on the deck that overlooked the bay. Our waitress was great. The tuna nachos were amazing. The seafood Cobb salad was delicious. Both were big portions. Our drinks were delicious also.

Lunch was great! Can’t beat the service and the view. We had the tuna nachos, crab cakes sandwich (not pictured) and fries with cheese. All so good! Will definitely be coming back to try the different mason jars

Very good burger 🍔 and ribeye sandwich 🥪 . Service was exceptional and reasonable for the location. Mixed drinks were a terrible letdown (smoked Old Fashion (edited) was just an Old Fashion (edited) with smoke bitters and Painkiller was terrible) stick with can/bottle beer 🍺 🍻 !!

Eclectic menu, well executed. Cold beer, drinks and variety, drafts too. 100% terrific. We'll be back. This was our second time and we brought more people. Everyone was pleased. Hard working friendly staff. Tuna Tacos pictured large serving, delicious.

St. Stephen's Green Publick House is a delightful Irish pub that captures the essence of traditional Irish culture right on the Jersey Shore. Named after the iconic St. Stephen's Green Park in Dublin, this charming establishment offers a cozy atmosphere complete with a fireplace, making it an inviting spot for both locals and visitors alike. The menu boasts an array of authentic Irish dishes, from crispy potato pancakes to hearty bangers and mash, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Me and my wife have been wanting to try this Irish pub for a while and it did not dissapoint. You felt like you were transported to Ireland instead of New Jersey. The place is covered with authentic Irish paraphernalia. We went here on St. Patty's weekend and it was wall to wall. That didn't stop the bartenders from being quick with getting drinks or food to patrons. Not only were they quick, but they served you with a smile and made sure you got what you needed. They also had a great Irish band playing called the Bantry Boys which had everyone in the pub singing and dancing. The food was excellent. I had the corn beef and cabbage and a side of their homemade Irish Soda Bread and Irish Rolls. They give you a good amount of food too. I can see why the locals can't get enough of this place no matter what time of the year it is. This isa must stop Irish pub if you are ever in Spring Lake!

Tonight is our first time dining here and we are very happy with the food, service and atmosphere. Patty and her assistant were very friendly and attentive. We asked Patty for recommendation as this is our first time. We enjoyed the traditional dinners recommended by Patty; the Irish breakfast has different kinds of sausages, serving with baked beans, eggs, tomatoes and bread. The potato pancakes are my favorite. The chicken pot pie is delicious, all white meat with hearty vegetables, seasoning is perfect! I love the puffy pastry! The light beer is flavorful, we will be back... :)

This place, never disappoints whether you’re just stopping in for a drink, a beer, appetizers, lunch, or dinner the service and the food is always top notch. Can’t say enough about the staff here from the hostess to your bus boys and servers. They are always kind and welcoming! If you haven’t been you’re missing out, St Patrick’s day here is also a spectacular!

A special place. The most delicious Fish and Chips and a perfectly poured Guinness. Our outstanding and attentive Server Nancy helped make the experience so pleasant tonight. Tuesday’s Irish Music Seisuns are wonderful but acoustics make for tough conversations…so just drink and listen!

We were looking for a place that served a traditional English breakfast and found St. Stephen's on Google Maps. We were not disappointed. My husband loved the English breakfast and the pastrami on pumpernickel was so tender and juicy. Our server Earl couldn't have been nicer and accommodating, As were all the servers and the atmosphere was cozy and warm. We will definitely be coming back.

A good Irish themed restaurant! The staff was very friendly and helpful, they were out of wings and a few other things we thought were standard but everything we ordered came out correctly and it was delicious. The space it laid out slightly disjointed but easy enough to move around it. Everything is well kept and clean. The drinks were great and look forward to getting back again.

Wide selection of food, everything I've tried so far is good. The Cajun steak bites are worth the trip just for that one app. The staff is very friendly too... which says alot about the atmosphere. Lots of tvs if you're looking for a game to watch, and a very nice outside bar and dock with seating

The River Rock Restaurant located in Brick Township down the Jersey shore is a great place for family and friends to get together for drinks, food and music. Great happy hour specials, and live bands in a great atmosphere on the water. Beautiful sunsets and plenty of tv screens for watching any sporting events. It was our first time being introduced to this place and we ordered a couple of pizza pies that were made to perfection. They do have a large menu that includes plenty of seafood, burgers, sandwiches, pizza and a special menu dedicated to Sushi, that's right I said Sushi! We haven't had the pleasure of trying their large selection of food, but we will definitely be back for more. I will update this review after our eminent return. See ya all soon!❤️👍🏼👍🏼🍔🍕🥪🌯🍣🦪🍹🍻

All around great place. Especially summer months on the river with outdoor seating. Winter fare is always amazing with live entertainment at night. Just be ready for a very loud din when music not playing. Still a great place!! Ya gotta try it out! Check out the pics! Great food!!! Enormous menu and something for everyone, literally!!

Underwhelming food and slow service. It wasn't the servers fault as he was very busy and stretched thin. The portion size to value could be better. The seafood boat had 5 medium shrimp and 4 scallops for $36. TWO fish tacos for $17.50. We also had blue point oysters. The person who shucked the oysters let all the juice run off.

I’m going 5 here just for the happy hour prices and menu. Great for our kiddos and some well priced cocktails. All our food is pictured. Would recommend all the sushi. Well plated and super fresh and fun flavors. Great service. Super vibrant. Means loud. It’s a bar. Not a surprise. Will be back.

we were a table of 4, sat outside on a monday mid day. food and drinks came on time. we got the hot honey pepperoni flatbread, buffalo wrap, capris wrap, and chicken ceasar salad. the flatbread came warm (like it sat out for some time) so we asked to reheat it and it came back the same temp. the ceasar salad had basically no dressing on it so we had to ask for more of that as well. we also got drinks but the drinks were a 10/10. the two wraps were good but nothing special. would come back for just the scenery.

Stopped in last week on probably the hottest Monday of the summer so far. It was my first time back since the renovations. I came by boat. Being a jersey shore local for over 30 years this was the first time I drove my boat to River Rock. My party and I were immediately greeted by the Dock Hand, John. John waived me in with ease, and with his assistance I was able to dock my boat like a pro. Upon going inside we were able to get bar seats and were greeted by two bartenders both of which were attentive to us and quite humorous. I do not recall their names but the male was probably about 6'5" and bald and the woman was short with blonde hair. We enjoyed some ice cold beverages, ate some $10 special pizza pies, and had some laughs. I remember being nervous about getting my boat out of the docking area upon leaving as it was my first time doing this at River Rock. The Dock Hand John was still working and I told him that I am somewhat new to the dock and dine experience. John aided me and gave great instructions on the best way to get out of the docking area and even helped me get out by using a technique with the boat lines. John really helped make this process a breeze and my party and I were on our way with no issues at all and the best part about it was John was extremely kind and professional about the whole thing on a very hot day which I'm sure made the job that much more difficult. John is an outstanding employee and should be commended. Be sure to keep him there as long as you can, River Rock!

Black Eyed Susans Tavern & Restaurant is a charming summer spot that serves up American cuisine using locally sourced ingredients, with a focus on seafood. Run by the husband and wife team of Christopher Sanchez and Ashley Pellagrino, this eatery offers a mix of casual tavern fare and high-quality dishes. The menu boasts an array of fresh and flavorful options, including locally caught seafood like Atlantic cod, squid, and lobster. Visitors can expect delicious cocktails to complement their meals in a perfect Saturday night atmosphere.
The fact that this is only rated 4.5 is laughable. This was our best dinning out experience ever. We have been all over Italy and Switzerland and Iceland and this was just as good or better. The vibe was cozy and peaceful. Beautiful atmosphere. Fantastic customer care. We walked in and immediately felt like kings and queens. Food was plenty and a rare unique taste. Each dish was flavorful. We extra food to take home. Definitely going back next week.

Some excellent dishes and some misses, in a beautiful garden setting. Our waiter weighed in at our request about the swordfish special, which was absolutely one of his favorites and one of the best things we ate on the island over five nights of fine dining. Had a peach “BBQ” sauce that was spicy and sweet and paired perfectly with such a delicious swordfish steak. The tuna on fennel and rice left something to be desired, it was a bit bland and with a lot of liquid in the bowl. I posted another review about the amazing tuna we had at Dune 18. Back to the positives, the side of garlicky broccoli Rob was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared. The artichoke appetizer was fried and pretty good. The octopus appetizer was disappointing. It was on a beautiful swirled red sauce with lots of fresh peas and legumes, but the octopus itself was battered and deep fried. It might as well have been a piece of chicken. There was one bite in the middle where you could actually taste the octopus, but the rest of it tapered off into fried batter without any texture or taste other than fried. octopus is one of our favorite things to eat. It is very tricky to cook to showcase its velvety deliciousness, and their staff should figure out how to honor it (perhaps check out the fantastic octopus at parker’s garage). For these prices and given where we were, I think they could also up their presentation/plating of most of the dishes we had. We had painkiller drinks that were really yummy with rum and coconut and pineapple and mango (?). Apparently this is the one restaurant on the island that has a liquor license. Wait staff was very friendly and the ambience is nice.

Wow, what can I say about this amazing place? Coffee cart by day, one of the most covenant restaurants to get into by night! Reminiscent of an enchanted fairy garden this place is covered with flowers, live music can usually be heard in the distance, and the smell of an amazing meal is being whipped up in the kitchen! It doesn’t matter if you sit at the bar to enjoy the happy hour, or indulge in an elegant meal you will sure to be impressed no matter what! I’ve enjoyed almost every cocktail they have and can assure you the bartenders are top-notch! The Woodfire pizza is incredible, but also the black garlic, Caesar salad, and almost any entrées! The gnocchi is one of my favorites and also the chicken and any of the amazing ways they serve it up! If you were in or near The Long Beach Island area I highly recommend this place!

An evening at Black-eyed Susan is always a wonderful experience! My husband and I live in Surf City year round and often visit Black-eyed Susans for their live music and reliably delicious dinners and cocktails. We got married on the island this July, and were so thrilled to host our rehearsal dinner in the private room upstairs. The space was the perfect size for our family event (24 people), giving us room for three large tables, as well as an acoustic guitarist, a few high tops, and the stylish cocktail bar. Justin the private events coordinator was such a pleasure to work with. He helped us situate all of our decor (linens, florals, signage) and effectively navigate the three-course menu (even with a number of challenging allergies). The food was delicious, as always, and the staff were lovely and attentive. Our guests all spoke so highly of the event. I can't wait for our next visit! (Photos by Ann Coen Photography)

Our new favorite restaurant in LBI and maybe even in general!!! Immediately we’re in love with the ambiance and “eat local” vibe, had amazing service, and enjoyed everything we ordered (which was a lot!) apps, salads, pizza, entree & dessert all of it was 10/10! Will be coming again!!!!

Delicious!! From the moment we opened the door the staff was welcoming. Loved the cozy vibe and warm fireplace. Nikki was our attentive and friendly server. My husband and I ordered a variety of cocktails and appetizers. We enjoyed every bite! My husband said it was the best calamari he has ever had. The ricotta was to die for. I would have been happy with just the ricotta alone! He had the lobster gnocchi and I enjoyed the oven roasted chicken breast. The chicken was super tender and I enjoyed the flavor and artichokes. For dessert we had the bread pudding and chocolate pot de crème. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to come back again!

Perfect outdoor restaurant for seafood and drinks. Had their oysters and flounder previously, no pictures, but I remember they were both delicious. Service can be crazy at times, so be prepared.

Tried this place because we usually go to the Crab Trap just to mix it up. Unfortunately wasn’t that good. My husbands clams on half shell and lobster roll were very good . My shrimp cocktail was not fresh and my crab cake was just ok, it was very mushy which was a turnoff. Cocktails were just plain bad. We took a piece of banana cream pie to go , that was very good . One and done for this place .

Great place to stop on your way to Ocean City or on your way out of OC. Yet close enough to OC to come for lunch or dinner. Great view because you are right on the bay. Friendly and curious staff. Located right at the foot of the Ninth Street Bridge and if you have a boat you can dock right here.

The location is probably the only saving grace of Crabby Jack’s. I didn’t take any pictures because we wanted to just get out of there. The service was incredibly slow and items from our order were forgotten, whatever no big deal I guess. This review is mainly for the nightmare of a lobster roll on their menu. It was like an open faced sandwich, with tomatoes? It wasn’t warm either but it was advertised as warm and buttery(which is was neither) The lobster roll couldn’t decide if it was Maine or Connecticut style. They might as well have called it a lobster hoagie, None of it made sense, you couldn’t even pick it up and eat it. The crab bites were alright, but it’s kind of hard to mess up a fried bite of food. Glad we didn’t try too much cause it all looked disappointing. The bar seemed like it could be a fun place to have some drinks, but the food was weird.

⭐️ 1 Star (only because Google won’t let me give zero) We used to love Crabby Jack’s. We’d drive 3 hours, plan full trips around it—not just for us, but for our dog, too. One of our favorite traditions was taking her to the doggy beach and then relaxing here with great food and coastal vibes. Now? That entire experience is gone. Under new management, the restaurant has completely changed. • No dogs allowed • No emotional support animals, no matter how calm or necessary • No takeout • Parking is still a nightmare Let me be clear: the staff was kind and professional—this isn’t on them. This is about the rigid new policies that have stripped away everything that made this place special. My partner and I both work 13-hour days, mostly from home. We don’t get much time off. So when we plan a little escape, it means everything to bring our ESA along—our source of calm, comfort, and companionship. But Crabby Jack’s no longer welcomes that. And while the food is still good, the hassle just isn’t worth it anymore. To all the fellow pet parents and working couples out there: stay far away. Find a place that welcomes your fur babies and understands that sometimes, a dog isn’t just a dog—they’re part of the reason we get through our days at all. Crabby Jack’s used to be our happy place. Now it just feels like a missed opportunity wrapped in a list of “no’s.” We’re heartbroken, and we won’t be back.

Wonder Bar was a bucket list venue for me and it did not disappoint! As a huge fan of The Adam Ezra Group, I was so excited to see them here! It's bigger than I thought with a nice outside seating area (it's summer so inside got pretty warm with all the people and the stage lighting etc). Great size for the stage set up and dance floor/viewing area. Mostly standing room only but there were a few tables with reserved signs on them. Sound was great...super loud! It was an epic night and I'll definitely be back again!!

I’m extremely disappointed in the way our friends, my partner, me and all of our dogs were treated at this establishment. They made a huge deal of it being a fun and friendly space for our dogs to get to run around, make friends, and enjoy the day. It was also supposed to be the last weekend prior to demolition. However, after charging us $20 dollars for entry and $10 for parking, within 2 mins of our dogs being off leash they rudely came up to us, asking us to make sure our dogs weren’t excited. Excuse me but what dog isn’t going to be excited in that environment, especially when let off leash? Then kept coming up telling us our dogs shouldn’t be excited. I’m sorry but us having to hold our dog’s collars and keep them next to us defeated the purpose of us being there. It was extremely uncomfortable and a disappointment. We chose to leave rather than subject our dogs to that treatment. Not that it matters since it will be demolished after this weekend anyway, but I would never in a million years tell anyone to go there. Instead, I’d highly suggest against it. Find a place that is way more dog friendly and doesn’t want only senior dogs or tiny dogs there. If I could have given it a negative ten I would have.
Chessie L — Google review
The other week, my girlfriend and I visited Asbury Park and the surrounding towns for the first time for 3 days. We were on an unofficial tour of the towns, childhood homes, and bars/music venues where Bruce Springsteen grew up and got his start. So of course, we had to stop by the legendary Wonder Bar! I had seen photos before, but it was awesome being there in person for the first time! We loved the atmosphere and vibe of the whole place. We were particularly impressed with the staff. Everyone we came into contact with from the doorman to the bartender to the man and woman selling merch were friendly and professional. I wish I made a point of getting the names of the two employees who sold us the t-shirts, hoodie, tumbler, and magnets we bought, as they gave us outstanding customer service! The gentleman was older and had black hair and the lady was younger and had black hair, blue eyes, and glasses. Both were very personable, funny, and patient as I debated which size t-shirt and hoodie to purchase. I have OCD, so it can be a bit of a “process” before I ultimately settle on a size, style, etc. I hope their manager reads this because they deserve a raise for going above and beyond by making us feel so welcome and that we had their undivided attention. We plan on returning next summer or fall to catch a show and visit our new friends at the Wonder Bar. Thank you so much for helping to make our short but amazing trip to the Jersey shore everything we hoped it would be and more!

Nestled on the bustling main street of Point Pleasant, B2 Bistro + Bar is a charming eatery that beautifully blends rustic brick and wood accents with a welcoming atmosphere. This bistro boasts an inviting outdoor seating area where guests can savor European-inspired dishes alongside an impressive selection of craft beers and handcrafted cocktails. The menu features delightful options for both brunch and dinner, including crowd-pleasers like short rib grilled cheese and peaches and cream Belgian waffles.
I had been tasked with planning the first baby shower for my family, and B2 was on the shortlist of places we were looking at. After my first call with Shannon, I knew this was the place! She made herself available for every question I had along the way, and was very supportive and helpful. The day of the shower was a total success! The back banquet room was perfect for our group of 50+. The menu options we chose were all hits among our guests (we would have picked more if we were able!) Our bartender, Amanda, and servers, Nicole and Erin, were friendly and attentive. The whole staff at B2 had been just as invested in making this a day to remember as I was. We were even told that our event was as much fun for them to host as it was for us to be attending. Our group can't praise B2 enough for how beautiful this baby shower turned out. 10 out of 10, highly recommend!

B2 is unmatched. Our first visit, we tried brunch food and we were very impressed. Progressively, family has taken us out there after taking our children to the ocean county mall for some delicious food. My favorite thing on the menu is the pretzel with the sauce they give and the sushi. Easily the best sushi I have ever had. We have my son’s baptism booked in November of 2025 and we are super excited to have family try the food we have been raving about for months. Brian has been very accommodating in assisting us with our event details as it comes closer to the date; he even let us keep our deposit and move our date due to a family emergency. We celebrated my mom's 90th Birthday. There were 17 attendees. The food was delicious and hot. The brownie sundae was good and cold. We had 3 choices Chicken Marsala, Shrimp Scampi and Beef something, along with Ceasars salad. None of these entrees are in the list below for food choices. The staff were very attentive. That was a great feat since there was also a baby shower and a bridal shower going on at the same time!

Loved our date night here! The food was great, my burger was cooked to perfection. Liz was super sweet and accommodating with our puppy. Its refreshing to have a restaurant that is dog friendly! We will definitely be back!

B2 was amazing, food was fantastic, I ordered the wurst plater and my wife had a burger, both were cooked to perfection, our server Liz was so great. And to top it off, they are pet friendly so we had our pup with us, he loved it too. We will be back often!

First time guests and had an amazing top notch experience. We had the pleasure of having a super friendly adorable professional waitress the food was on point would've eaten the plate if it was edible 😋 fresh Oysters 🦪 and a 5 out of 5 Lamb Burger the drinks were well balanced (margarita) I would for sure comeback when visiting from NYC. Oh and before we left we had to order the Meat lovers Wood-fired pizza togo and boy it was worth it Everything tasted fresh. Thanks for making our visit memorable 😊 With all due respect just have one suggestion in regards with the tzatziki sauce that was accompanied with the Lamb burger I noticed the citrus 🍋 flavor overpowered it completely. Maybe Garlic Confit (fresh crushed garlic 🧄 in a third pan with one bunch of thyme in EVOO) mixed with the yogurt and fresh Dill would help balance it out just my humble opinion.

My husband threw me a birthday party here. We had 30 people. The service was excellent! The food was delicious and the staff was so accommodating and attentive. They anticipated every need. The food was excellent! Even all the kids had clean plates! We will definitely come again. Thank you B2 for a great party!!

Twisties Tavern on the Bay is a historic bayside establishment in Strathmere, known for its seafood and flatbread pizzas. Once a speakeasy during Prohibition, it has evolved into a popular spot that opens for more than just a few weeks each year. The wood-paneled space with a patio offers a glimpse into its rich history while serving up fresh and flavorful dishes.
Great place to enjoy a meal and some drinks. Our table overlooked the water. Good food and nice beer selection.

Fun place, fun servers who are very attentive. The portions are generous and we enjoyed our meals, the kids in our party had the pizza and chicken tender kids meal, hubby liked his burger, and my BLT was perfect! They do not skimp on the fries that come with! Desserts were delicious! Wish there were more FRESH seafood options, but there was no complaint with other choices. Can’t wait to go back!

food was lame & overpriced. Shrimp tacos were boiled, zero seasoning. zero flavor.. not what it used to be.. pathetic. Go for the view and have a beer, don’t waste your money on the food. High School cafeteria food has more of a flavor profile.

We love Twisties! We are here almost once a week! The staff is always friendly and the pain killers are our favorite! Unfortunately, this last visit wasn't the best. We stopped in early Monday afternoon after an early beach day and grabbed 2 pain killers and ordered nachos with beef. It wasn't crowded or anything and we felt like the nachos were taking awhile. When they finally did come out, everything about them was cold. By the time our waitress came back, we explained how they were cold and asked for to-go boxes. Figured we'd take them home and bring them back to life. The waitress later came back with the check, apologized again and mentioned that the manager offered to buy us a drink. We declined because we needed to get home and again only mentioned the cold food so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Needless to say, the cold stack of nachos could not be saved at home- they were soggy, we were out almost $30, and still hungry. Again not a great visit- hoping the next one will be better.

Food and Bay side view was spectacular! The menu is somewhat limited, and the seafood dishes were a little expensive. That being said, we did enjoy what we ordered (Salmon for the wife and Steamers and Linguini for me).

Beachcomber Bar & Grill is a laid-back hangout with a relaxed atmosphere, featuring live bands on weekends and serving classic American bar food. Located in Seaside Heights, just steps from the beach, it's a popular spot along the boardwalk. Despite its low online presence, locals rave about the service and menu offerings which include paninis, pizza, poke bowls, salads, shrimp, and sushi. This place is known for its live music performances every weekend throughout the year.
Devouvered the shrimp cocktail one of if not the best I’ve ever had ! Poke chicken teriyaki bowl was phenomenal! Fried calamari was great so was the rum bucket ;) highly recommend eating here beautiful view too

This place really went downhill. We've been coming here for many years, but we won't be back. It used to have decent food, a family friendly atmosphere and a full wait staff, even during the pandemic. Now you're lucky if they have a server, which means you get food from the bartender. A lot of menu options are gone, like some fresh seafood. They had live bands and might still have them, but recently they were blasting loud club music early in the day. The restrooms are absolutely disgusting. I had to take my special needs son into the mens room with one tiny stall, and it was filthy, with feces on the floor. This place is a dirty watering hole. That's about it. Skip it if you're with the family. Just skip it period.
R J — Google review
I stopped in because I remember this place was featured on the original MTV show The Jersey Shore. As with most Jersey Shore eateries I have tried in the past, I didn't have very high expectations on the service and food here. When I walked in, the bartender gave a nice greeting and indicated I needed to sit at the bar or outdoors since they were short staffed and didn't have any servers working at that time. I ordered a couple of cocktails and the Grilled Chicken Panini. The drinks were good and sweet, but it seemed like they weren't strong enough, like they were lacking alcohol. The panini was just ok. First, the bread wasn't pressed like a traditional panini. Second, the sandwich was just plain grilled chicken, large pieces of lettuce, peppers, and pesto on the side. But overall, the chicken wasn't dry, and the pesto gave the sandwich some taste. The bar has a fun atmosphere, and they have a lot of TVs. They have an interesting, reasonable priced menu, which includes sushi. Since the bartender was so nice and friendly and I like the vibe of this place, I would stop in again on one of my next trips down to Seaside Heights to grab a drink or two.

I had 1 corona and 1 Tito’s shot. It was my last night on vacation in seaside. I only went for 2 nights. I was there & left to go get a T-shirt. When I was there the first time I bought 1 drank and just sat down on the roof top. When I got back about an hour later I was told that I was being trespassed based of his discretion. This guy had no reason to do that other than being on a power trip. I spent money there with my son earlier in the day and at night. I wasn’t causing a disturbance nor was I to “drunk”. I told him I was the legal limit to drive which I was. He was being aggressive with me and loved how I wasn’t allowed to come in because he said so. He said even if you go to the cops and say something to them they’ll still tell you you have to leave. They have no say over who comes in and leaves I do. The cops came over because he called them over. I said to them like why are they doing that. They kept saying they can trespass whoever they want like it’s a regular thing. They were nice and respectful unlike the security guard. The security guard isn’t all that too if I was actually the drunk he claimed and he was aggressive like that he would’ve got pepper sprayed arrested or not I wouldn’t have cared. That guys lucky I was actually sober. Even in the case I was overly intoxicated you do not go about it that way. Drunk people can turn volatile quick so why are you being aggressive. I was not a threat to him or any ones safety. All his little security guard friends who he was trying to impress need more training or to be replaced. There not securing anything besides there egos. No grown man who works at a professional establishment should be getting aggressive and confrontational for no reason. I wasn’t resistant in leaving even though it was unprovoked. He was aggressive in tone hoping it would escalate and I’d do something to get myself in trouble. Do better with who you guys hire it’s a nice place.

Love this place. Food and staff are very good. A little hectic when things get busy. Wonderful local talent (Tony Sciuto, Earthjam to name a couple) makes this a favorite place for me.

The Beachcomber is the best and has been a real staple of the Seaside boardwalk. The food has always been excellent, and the overall bar itself has an outdoor deck, indoor seating, and a stage. Really great energy and is perfect for any occasion. Last time I was visiting I ended up dining there 5 times! The drinks are cold the food is delicious and the bartenders have always been upbeat and friendly. I'll be back when I'm back in town!

The female bartender on the second floor was kind but the drink was horrible, the place is disgusting I think I’d rather piss out in the middle of the road than use their bathrooms. And please for the love of god GET A NEW DJ. I could live with everything else but horrible music (mind you Christmas music in the middle of July???) absolutely not I heard them playing don’t want a lot for Christmas from the bathroom and just immediately walked out and left and went to spicys. Don’t waste your money here seriously.

Nestled in the vibrant Asbury Park, Johnny Mac House of Spirits is a quirky bar that promises an unforgettable experience. This lively watering hole boasts cozy smoking chairs and an impressive array of draft beers, making it a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. One of its standout features is the delightful offer of free pizza with every drink purchased—an enticing incentive that keeps patrons coming back for more.
We haven’t back for awhile and are so happy to see nothing has changed and it’s as fantastic as it’s always been! Whenever we come to town it’s our first stop right across the asbury park train station. We love the free pizza when you buy a drink and the pizza is well made and truly delicious. I always get toppings (toppings are $1 each with premium toppings $2 each) and the personal size pizza is perfect if you’re not too hungry. Katie is an amazing bartender and have been lucky to have her behind the bar several times over the past few years. She always has a smile on her face and ensures you get the pizza you want 😃 there is also an omelette brunch on Sundays that you do not want to miss! Will write a review for that as well!

Okay the pizza is actually good. I know it's free but they make it from scratch and it has a great taste. The bar gets busy fast and the bartenders do their best to make sure everyone is taken care of. The decorations definitely make it a destination. In addition you will sweat in the porta trailer when using it. It's definitely convenient when you are in the yard. Also check out the basement. The pizza photo was taken in a bad light situation. Blame the photographer not the bar.

This was my first time at Johnny Mack’s, and I had such a great experience! My date brought me here, and I was instantly drawn in by the beautiful bar and the cool goth-inspired theme. It’s got a unique, artsy vibe that really stands out. The bartenders were super friendly and welcoming, and the drinks were made perfectly strong, tasty, and served fast. One fun surprise was that they give you a coupon ticket for a free pizza, which is such a great touch! The line for the pizza was pretty long when we went, so we ended up playing some of the games they have instead, which just added to the fun. The artwork throughout the bar is awesome and really adds to the vibe. Overall, it was a great first visit, and I’m already looking forward to going back.

Absolutely loved this bar, especially the layout and how it had different levels! The best part was the free pizza with every drink bought (be sure to ask for it) - that pizza saved me!

Perfect Day Drink! Stopped in early to make antique shopping a lot more interesting. Bartender was charming - friendly, gave us some tips about Asbury Park ,ran a tab without being asked, and knew how to pour a Guinness. What more can you ask? Decor is fun, and felt homey to us. We didn't take advantage of the pizza or omelette , but I think we'll be back to try the Sunday morning event. Only thing that could make this place more perfect is if they had live, real Irish music, but what they have works for them and I'm glad they're successful. We had a great experience and will definitely return.

Hidden gem of AC. It's right off the boardwalk and has the best chicken in the world. I highly recommend this bar to anyone! The bartenders have been there for years and know what they're doing. It's just a lot of good honest people having a good time and enjoying great chicken

The bang bang shrimp was super addictive!!! It’s a hole-in-the-wall/dive bar feel. Food is mainly bar food. They were out of scallops when we went on a Saturday which was disappointing. I had the boneless wings which were okay. There are quite a few sauce options to choose from. We also got the onion rings in Jack Daniels bbq sauce. Sauce was a little too sweet. Beer was cheap. Overall, a fun and good value for a quick bite and a drink.

It's a good place to watch the game whatever team you're rooting for. The staff is friendly & they even had a free basket of cheer raffle. We had the She-Crab Soup & Wings. They serve the whole wings so when you buy 13 you're getting 26. The soup was creamy & hot but the Beer could be colder.

This is a small locals type bar (newbies are also welcome). They have a full bar and bar food. The wings and tails are outstanding. They wings can be had with various sauces. Give it a try if in Atlantic City...its just off the boardwalk across from the Irish Pub. They have parking at the bar for patrons.

The menu says best wings in the Solar System, this is not boasting, this is fact! At least once a year I make the trek from PA for this wings and they never dissapoint. They are without doubt some of the best wings I have ever had. This place is very hole in the wall but well worth the trip. If you find yourself in AC, do yourself a favor and pop in.

The Anchor's Bend is a lively beachfront spot located in historic Convention Hall in Asbury Park. It's known for its nautical decor and vibrant atmosphere, offering draft brews, cocktails, and American plates. With indoor, outdoor, and beach seating options, it's the perfect place to relax with a drink while enjoying the ocean views. The beachside setting allows guests to sip their drinks with their toes in the sand, making it an ideal spot for summertime day-drinking.
We went for the Valentine's Jazz Brunch 10am-2pm. They have special brunches on weekends. Normally open at 12pm. They have special set dinners as well for $65, like a whiskey inspired one. Great cocktails, also a cider cocktail, pumpkin spice, mimosas, bloodmarys, and irish coffee as well. There is a take out order section and a self service tea/coffee bar for free with eating there. The staff is very nice, I emailed the owner and he cc'd the chef and both were happy to make the french toast dairy-free! No issues, which is not a usual occurrence at other places. No reservations needed. The bananas foster french toast and breakfast burrito were amazing. They had live music, which seems to occur commonly for other events. It is inside the convention hall with seating inside the hall with dogs allowed or inside closer to the bar. They decorate the place based on the holiday.
Lexi B — Google review
Nice outdoor seating. You can sit outside under the covers or on the beach which is super. Ordered nachos and fish tacos with fries that were delicious. Ordered tangerine dream and it tastes like an orange cream popsicle, if you're not a fan of sugary drinks like myself then don't get it. Drinks are tiny for the price and they don't have happy hour, got dinged on rating for that. Overall great atmosphere, they play great music.

On the side of Asbury’s Convention Hall is the Anchors Bend, a bar and restaurant with three space options: indoor, outdoor, and on the sand. The space on the sand features it’s own bar, picnic style tables, string lighting, and a small stage for performances. The vibe is casual and there’s no dress requirements beyond wearing shoes. Drink prices are reasonable given the location and are served in plastic, single-serving cups. There’s a water dispenser for self-service. We did not dine during our visit so I can’t speak to the quality of the food, but multiple items were listed as “housemade.” Despite your age and the time o, expect to be carded.

I was the Dorothy there for Halloween and won in the competition! Very nice place! Great food! Love the retro basement downstairs with the arcade games. The place was super crowded! The night manager who I never got his name did a great job running the place! I was bummed I wasn’t able to bring my witch broom inside but I see why! It was super packed! I almost lost my iPhone but the night manager who I let know was missing found it on the floor! Thank God! I will definitely return! My only complaint would be that it got hot with all the body heat. Should’ve kept some of the basement doors open for cool outside air flow. Happy Halloween!

An enjoyable little hole in the wall within asbury park. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. Their burgers are some of my favorite in the area. Compared to a lot of the places just within blocks of bond st, it’s well worth stopping in here for a drink or two. I can say, over the years the bouncers and some of the bartenders have gotten very condescending and rude. I think there definitely needs to be some new training done within there but, overall I would still stop in for a pint when I’m in asbury.

Absolutely terrible experience. My first time at this place with my family for drinks and dinner. Ordered food .:4 cheesesteaks, 3 fries and 1 burger (5 of us). After 20 minutes 2 cheesesteaks arrived. One was mine and I do t like to start eating until others get their food: (note the a was outdoor dining which apparently is different than indooors (did not know that since first time). 10 minutes later the 3 fries came, 7 minutes later the next 2 cheesesteaks came: after reminding the server that we were waiting for a burger it came 10 minutes after that. I asked the server about this and she said she would sent the manager: a woman came over (who is apparently the owner) and was very condescending to us and said we could go across the street to Bocca (Italian restaurant) and basically made us feel like we were wrong to be concerned about the service…I think she assumed we knew the expectation of service there but this was our first time, : Nedt thing I know she sends over 2 guys to say to leave the establishment including my 87 year old mother! So..:if you go there, know your expectations for food service, don’t make an issue of any concerns or you will be escorted out and the food was mediocre at best (it’s a food truck for outside). Not a family place but definitely good for young people who want to party..at least for the outside part anyway…sorry we did not get the opportunity to try inside which is a different menu..we waited for 2 hours for that but no luck. Be aware if you go! Don’t recommend outside for families , and don’t call the manager or owner for any concerns or you’ll feel like you’re in the wrong for saying something, ..you may be told to leave!

just a nice late lunch stop! my only problem is that we had to wait a lot and we didn’t expect that. but when places are packed that’s bound to happen. besides that when we got seated the waiter was nice and took our orders quickly. the food came fast and was so good. everyone enjoyed it. nice place would come back!

I have a recording studio nearby and I wanted something new. I went to this restaurant and I was absolutely blown away. Then setting and the vibe was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. Not only can you enjoy a unique dining experience but while you wait for food you could go on the beach, play games, go to the bar, etc. there was so many options and all sounded absolutely wonderful. The cocktails were absolutely delicious not too strong they were a perfect blend. The sushi was absolutely amazing and other food items were beyond expectations. I will absolutely be returning to this establishment with my colleagues!

My grandmother and I went for dinner on a Saturday around 5pm. Not too busy, great waterfront views from almost anywhere in the restaurant! The food was just okay. We ordered Drunken chicken parm, Wings, Meatball sliders, and mozzarella sticks. The pasta was mushy and the salad dressing was more like a paste? I also ordered a drink (Melon Mojito) and it did not come to the table until after both the appetizers and the main course.

It’s a nice spot for a casual business meeting or just to relax by the water. Parking can get a little busy at times, but you can usually still find a spot. The sushi and food are okay — not bad, just not amazing — but everything else about the place makes up for it. Overall, a solid restaurant with great vibes and good service. I’d recommend it.

Stopped for quick bites.. really enjoyed the atmosphere and food.. Offers outdoor dining, entertainment and great views of the bay with a dock for boaters. Also on this day they had a live band performing..

We always like.going to MJ's on a nice evening for a place to eat outside. Food and drinks were served quickly. Waitress was attentive. They had nice acoustic music in the evening after we were finishing dinner. Plenty of food options for kids. Have a nice beach right next to outdoor dining for kids to play and are safe/nearby.

My wife and I decided to take the boat down to MJ's. We like the nice little bar outside. When we sat down a nice guy got up and gave us his seat so we can sit down together. We bought him a beer for his kindness. The best is yet to come. Our bartender, Julie, who served us really made sure we were taken care of at any moment. Caring was paramount for Julie. Just a pleasure to deal with. Nice and simple was perfect about Julie. The food was excellent too as we had the Tsunami roll and topped it off with a Deluxe pizza. We even had a brownie sundae for dessert. That was great too. You can have great food but when you have outstanding service from Julie, it really turns into a wonderful evening. Thank you, Julie!

No matter how hard I want to like this place it always gives me reasons to be disappointed. Good outdoor bands and outdoor seating overlooking the bay is very appealing. Food not so much along with what always seems to be watered down adult drinks. If your going out for a fun evening there's better competition in the area.

MJs is a terrific bayside bar & dining establishment. Service was top notch on a Friday at linner (3:30 p.m.). Atmosphere is great with a surfing vibe. There is an option to dine outdoors. Four stars only due to the prices. But I'm sure I'll be back. I did go back recently. Food was again good. But we suffered from server abandonment. It was no bueno. Reducing service to 3 star. Overall 4. This is a great location. But I won’t be rushing back soon…

Murphy's Tavern is a charming bar that welcomes guests every day from 4 PM to 2 AM, making it the perfect spot for both newcomers and regulars alike. Nestled in a residential area of Rumson, this cozy hideaway has an intriguing history as a speakeasy from the 1920s, which adds to its unique allure. The basement setting offers a relaxed atmosphere where friendly patrons can unwind with moderately priced drinks and enjoy small bites like bar pies.
The best speakeasy. The service was amazing and they have good food. The drinks were the best! You can actually taste the alcohol in them. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable and they have games as well. Definitely coming back again and highly recommend this place.

My husband recently hosted a bunch of old college buddies and their wives for our wedding! Since about 25 of them were visiting the Shore area for the first time, he wanted to make sure they experienced all the sights and sounds Monmouth County has to offer. Normally, finding something fun (and legal) for a large group of out-of-towners to do after midnight is a challenge—but not in Rumson! He took the whole crew to Murphy’s Tavern with the promise that they’d get a taste of a local legend: a good old-fashioned speakeasy tucked away in the basement of a house, right in the heart of a residential neighborhood. Needless to say, they had a blast! Whether you’re kicking off a weekend wedding celebration or just grabbing a late-night drink, we highly recommend popping into Murphy’s Tavern.

The place is extremely dirty. I found specs of who knows what in all of my drinks. The food is disgusting and the bartender Cleo is extremely rude. It was very unwelcoming and this place was dead. One person in there and not even joking. I do not recommend

Headliner Oasis in Neptune City is the ultimate destination for those seeking a vibrant nightlife experience. This high-energy nightclub offers an electrifying atmosphere with live bands and DJs that keep the party going every night. Known for its fantastic drink specials and delicious food options, Headliner Oasis is also a favorite spot to catch football games, featuring shareable delights like fried samplers and sliders. The venue has recently undergone renovations, enhancing both its outdoor deck and pub area, making it even more inviting.
This is a very cool place. It was our first time there. The atmosphere is very nice. We were here to see my favorite band, The Characters and have dinner. The food was great!!

I went to see No Surrender last night and went early to grab some dinner. We had the chicken cesar salad and chicken quesadilla. Very yummy. The staff was lovely and helpful and very friendly. The band was fantastic, although the mix wasn't what it should have been. My only complaints other than that - it was too cold inside and the indoor ladies room ran out of paper towels and the hand dryer didn't work. The band is a must-see!

I recently hosted a baby shower for one of my best friends at Headliner Oasis Grill, and it was an exceptional experience. The spacious setting comfortably accommodated all our guests, providing a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The food was outstanding, offering a delightful variety that everyone loved. Additionally, the pricing was very affordable, making it a fantastic value for the quality and service we received. One of the highlights was the separate spot designated for photo opportunities, which added a special touch to our event. Overall, Headliner Oasis Grill exceeded our expectations and made our celebration truly memorable. Highly recommended!

Trash… Bouncer charged me a steep cover at the door… get inside place was empty aside from the bartenders and the bartenders who weren’t working. Didn’t even order a drink I left and asked for the cover money back 5 minutes later and was told it’s no refunds. Overall just a strange and unwelcoming place. Don’t waste your money on a cover here. Place is empty and the few people in there are a rough crowd. Place went downhill fast after covid, might as well sell it and turn it into this new hotel/ shopping center that was proposed…

Worst experience of my entire life, paid $35 to see a certain DJ perform and when we got to the door, they told us they were not coming "due to flight cancellations" and only refunded us $10. We later we got confirmation from the DJ we were supposed to see that there was no flight to even be canceled. The show wasn't happening to begin with because Headliner didn't sell enough tickets for them to even come and perform (shocker because the place is a dump!) The guy at the front gave us free drink tickets to make up for this that could be used "for any drinks". We went to the bar and ordered drinks and when going to pay with the ticket, the bartender was so beyond nasty to us because the drink tickets were "not valid". These were probably the worst mixed drinks I've ever had in my entire life as they tasted like straight rubbing alcohol topped with limes, and she wouldn't remake them because they were "already poured". The crowd this place attracted was not good and the place itself was dirty smelling like BO. I would never recommend this place to anyone in 1 million years, if you wanna go out down the Jersey shore hit up osprey, djais, leggetts, jenks, or honestly any other establishment because I promise you, you will not enjoy yourself at the headliner.

Motts Creek Inn is a laid-back waterfront bar known for its chill atmosphere, live bands, and boat access. The restaurant offers a variety of American eats including burgers and seafood. Visitors can enjoy stunning views while dining, with many patrons arriving by boat to dock outside. The establishment is popular for its Thursday specials such as free meals for kids with an adult purchase, $1 oysters, and 50-cent clams. The outdoor seating provides ample space to enjoy the picturesque surroundings.
Absolutely loved it here! We got raw oysters, peel and eats, steamed clams and muscles in white. Everything was very delicious and fresh. The views were spectacular, and the bar was comfortable, fun, and had great vibes. We had a great time. Our bartender was Daphne - she was friendly, attentive and funny. We will definitely be back! Wish we lived closer and could be here all the time.

Hidden Gem with a Killer View (and Killer Flies) ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ After kayaking our arms into jelly, we stumbled upon this waterside wonder—and boy, are we glad we did! Tucked along the salt marsh, the view alone is worth the visit. Think National Geographic, but with better snacks. Let’s talk food: The only flop? The calamari. Poor little rings of rubbery regret. They were so overfried, I think they briefly reincarnated as tires. Sent them back with love and a tear. But redemption came quickly… The crab cakes? Glorious. Moist, not masked by a pound of breadcrumbs or a rogue spice rack. Just pure crabby joy. Shrimp tacos? A masterpiece. We even joked (half-seriously) that next time we’ll ask for sausage on the side—because why not chase seafood bliss with a little meat? Shrimp & crab salad with avocado creamy dressing , fresh, and the kind of dish that makes you consider moving closer to the coast just to eat it daily. Now, a word of warning: bring bug spray. Or a suit of armor. The greenhead horseflies are the real house special, and they come free with your meal. Nature’s little reminder that paradise always has a price. You can literally park your boat and float in for a bite—how cool is that? Or take the car, but please, PLEASE watch for turtles. We had front-row seats to a sad moment when a truck flattened one of these shelled sweethearts. Let’s just say the turtle didn’t win that race. Be kind, drive slow, and remember—turtles were here first. Final verdict? A delicious escape with unforgettable views, great food (minus the calamari), and the occasional bug ambush. Would kayak back for the crab cakes alone. Extra bonus: On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, they’ve got live music from 5–8 or 6–9 PM (check the website for times). Nothing says “perfect summer evening” like good food, cold drinks, and a live band as the sun sets over the marsh.

Mott’s Creek Inn is definitely more bar than restaurant. It has great views of the waterways. Indoor and outdoor seating. We sat in the indoor bar but big windows to see outside. Service was fine but the kitchen was SLOW, we waited almost an hour for our food. I enjoyed my crab cake sandwich, it would have been better with a really good slice of a Jersey tomato. I was told the crab cake was made in-house. My hubby said the burger was fine just salty, so overseasoned. The fries were lame. :( There is a fee to pay with credit card. The place was very busy. The bartender did apologize for the wait and thanked us for our patience. The live music was very entertaining and lively.

My favorite place to drive my ski up to on a hot day. I love there happy hour deals on food. They make amazing onion rings. Nothing beats enjoying a meal with such a perfect view! Definitely worth the boat ride or drive depending on how you arrive. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. During the summer the green heads are a nightmare and in the fall there are tons of bees. Not to worry that’s why you can dine inside if you can’t escape them.

$60 for wings and two drinks, I have loved this place for years but what happened? Mott’s used to be a place to escape the boujee aspect and ridiculous prices of the Island. At this point Mott’s has prices comparable to the island and it’s not even as nice/high quality so what are you getting? After this visit we decided might as well just stay here on the island.

The definition of: Where strangers become family. We came here for a whiskey event/tasting- had whiskey games, giveaways and food. Everyone was so friendly and inviting. The owner was walking around making sure everyone was having a great time. The owner was sincerely one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. The Stone Pony is a historic music club in a town made famous by Springsteen. It's known for launching the careers of big names like Springsteen and Bon Jovi. The area around the club offers plenty to do, from people-watching on the boardwalk to visiting the dog-friendly Yappy Hour at the Wonder Bar. Asbury Park has seen a revival, with rock bars like The Stone Pony surviving through tough times and now playing a role in the city's musical evolution.
First time here. I've heard about this legendary venue and it did not disappoint. We came for a show on the summer stage and it was incredible. Good sound, lots of room, plenty of bars, food and bathrooms and an incredibly awesome and polite staff (Shout out to Toni and Barbara). Checked out the inside and the many signed guitars. Awesome place! Can't wait to go back!

The place is small, crowded, dark and hot, but they usually have pretty awesome musical artists performing there... honestly, I prefer their outdoor Summer Stage.

The iconic Stone Pony is host to great shows every year. There are several bars, inside and outside and the staff is pretty friendly. Nice selection of beer and liquor. The sound system inside is always good and the lights seemed to be improved from what I remember. The only drawback is thY it is always so got in there. But nowhere is perfect and I can always walk outside and cTch some fresh air. All in all, a very enjoyable experience.

Didn't go here for a concert, I only went inside to browse around. Nevertheless, such a cool experience to step inside this legendary venue. They let you go in during the day so you can look around and soak up the history. The walls are lined with guitars, photos, and memorabilia that make it feel like a living museum of rock. You can browse at your own pace, check out the stage, and even grab a souvenir shirt to remember the visit. For music fans, especially Springsteen and Asbury Park fans, this is a must see stop.

We purchased tickets for the summer stage. We were looking forward to experiencing an outside performance with nice food options and room to move around and dance. The show got moved to the inside. Before the show date, the opening time and schedule were not posted anywhere. We called and messaged on social media with no response. We got there at 5:00 and people were allowed in at 6:00. The show started at 7:30. The only food was a big pretzel with fake cheese and mustard. A cup of wine was $11 for about 2oz of nasty, cheap wine. It was very difficult to get around and hard to see the performance unless you were within 5 feet from the stage. The security guard screamed at me because I stood one time on the bottom rung of a stool to try and see the stage. He was terrifying. The performances were amazing, but the venue is just not big enough for more than a few hundred people. I won't be going back.

What an amazing night! I haven’t been to the Stone pony in over 25+ years and last night made me realize why I need to visit more often. I went to the Dank Days of summer tour and had the best experience I’ve ever had at any concert. I’ve been to Prudential, MetLife, PNC Arts Center and other venues, but I have never had such an amazing experience like I did at the stone pony summer stage. The employees were amazing helping me guide me to the ADA section. Barbara and Toni were phenomenal!! Not only did they help guide me to where I need to sit, but I felt so safe and protected. Even though it rained and I thought for one second the concert might be canceled it wasn’t. The staff let you know from the beginning to please look on social media for updates for the concert of the restart and as promise it restarted. The safety concern of others was top priority. I noticed during the concert someone fainted and Barbara and Toni ran to the crowd to help that young gentleman, give him water and ice and got EMS there ASAP. At one point I wasn’t feeling very well and Barbara came to check on me. It wasn’t her job too, but to see security go above and beyond their job and show empathy made me realize that I need to come to more events here. The Porta Johns were so clean that I was shocked. Even the prices for the food and liquor weren’t as pricey as I thought they would be. Overall hands-down, this is the best place for concerts. I see my future coming here multiple times. It’s worth spending every dollar not only for the great entertainment, but the customer service from the staff alone. In today’s day and age customer service goes hand-in-hand and I have to say this establishment knows how to handle it. If you have people like Barbara and Toni in your corner, I promise you you’ll have more people coming to the Stone pony. Thank you for a great and safe time!!!

Nestled just a block from the sandy shores, The Parker House is a charming Victorian beach home that perfectly captures the essence of summer nights by the sea. With its inviting porch bar and relaxed tavern atmosphere, it offers an array of fresh seafood dishes and classic beach fare to satisfy any craving. Guests can enjoy their meals on the lovely outdoor porch or unwind at one of several bars while sipping expertly crafted cocktails.
Our dream came true - we got married at the Parker House! My family has been rooted in the Sea Girt area since the 1940s, with the Parker House serving as a common thread through generations. Growing up, I heard amazing stories from my father about summers at “The Shore” and unforgettable moments at the Parker House. I myself have been summering here for 30+ years. When I met the woman of my dreams (now MY WIFE!), I began bringing her to the shore every summer, and of course, to the Parker House. Both of us have been coming here for years, carrying on my family's tradition of afternoon back porch sliders and lobster rolls, followed by late-night dancing and drinks. One memorable summer day, while at the back porch, we had the flirty conversation about having our wedding at the Parker House. We were certain this was the perfect place to get married, with its status as an unofficial national landmark for the Northeast, its Casa Blanca by the beach feel, and the opportunity for us to return and enjoy it every summer. On October 5th, 2024, we made that conversation official. The entire experience exceeded our wildest dreams. We had a stunning grand cocktail-style wedding and had the pleasure of working with the best event manager, Maura, who also got married at the Parker House. This made our wedding day feel like we were working with family with everyone truly invested in ensuring my wife and I had an unforgettable day. With Maura, Lauren, and all of The Parker House staff, it was without a doubt the perfect weekend. The food, atmosphere, and attention to detail were unparalleled. We still receive rave reviews from guests about our wedding here and how refreshing the venue was. I mean, how many people get to say they had their first dance in "God's Basement"! Thank you to Maura & the entire Parker House team, we cannot wait to be back there this summer to be the annoying couple telling everyone over a drink and sliders that we got married here and how we will continue to dance the night away until we're old and frail.

I had a really good time with a big group at The Parker House. It’s located just a block from the beachfront; as long as you aren’t wearing a swimsuit, you can get in. The restaurant was not so busy on a weekday, but gets quite packed on weekends in the summer. Our group shared the shrimp cocktail appetizer, which was very fresh, and for lunch I had the Pan Seared Crab Cake Sandwich with a side of Cole Slaw and lemonade. Really good! The service was excellent—the wait staff was friendly, answered all of our questions, and very attentive. A really fun experience; I recommend it! Btw, they also have bands playing on a regular basis at night. They have a schedule posted on their website.

Went in for apps and drinks. Ended up staying a little later since we arrived right when dinner was about to be served. After waiting 45min for dinner service, we ordered (was one of the first) but took almost an hour to receive our food. Some dishes were also cool not warm. We were wearing beach attire but A table that sat down dressed up around an hour after us ended up getting better service and their food first. Might try again one day, but not impressed. Too pricey for what it was. Drinks were on point though, no complaints there

The Parker House has great food, the staff was friendly and helpful, the location is great. What makes me give them a 2 star rating is one of their kitchen personnel went to the bathroom and he didn’t wash his hands. I said something to the hostess but it was already too late. The good taste of food was marred by the grossness of his pee pee hands touching the bathroom door leaving the bathroom. I doubt I’ll be going back.

The only reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is because of the service. **⚠️ Dangerous and Unsafe for Women – Beware of Parker House in Sea Girt ⚠️**. As a mom I heard this story from the girl that it happened to, and I'm sick to my stomach over it. This place is absolutely unacceptable and unsafe, especially for young women. They **kicked out a young lady by herself without her phone, belongings, or any way to contact her friends**—who were still inside. She wasn’t even causing trouble; she was just having a fun time, and instead of offering basic compassion, the staff “went crazy” and threw her out. To make matters worse, the **older woman working at the stairs refused to let her get her belongings or reach her friends** for help. That is reckless and dangerous. Leaving a woman alone, late at night, without a phone, wallet, or any way to arrange safe transportation is beyond irresponsible—it puts her at serious risk of harm. This establishment clearly does not prioritize safety or decency. If you are a woman, **think twice before going here.** Management needs to understand the danger of abandoning patrons without their essentials, especially in today’s world where safety should come first. Until they change their policies and staff training, I would strongly warn against coming here. What happened is not just “bad service”—it’s **a safety hazard and a liability.** ---

Our food was decent and the live band was super entertaining but the fact that the bar and the kitchen couldn't get their tabs coordinated was off-putting. The crazy waitress working on 9/21/24 freaked out in the parking lot because she forgot to add mozzarella wedges to our bar tab and accused us of skipping out on 1 appetizer after we paid. It was so unhinged and weird our Uber driver was even traumatized. We tipped 40% on our tab, were the only people to tip the band and because of their incompetence of their tab we were accused and harassed for missing the payment on a single order if mozzarella wedges. It was the most insane experience out my friends and I have ever had. I'm a frequent POSITIVE reviewer of businesses and own a business so it sucks to write a negative review but being yelled at in a parking lot for no reason sucks too so I feel compelled to. My advice is stay away from this place If the owners want to talk , I'm happy to explain my experience.

This has been my go to bar for over 20 years. Down here for the holidays and they are closed. Pretty boring down here without you guys. When are you going to open? Miss Lori, Chris, Jeff, tyra, ken and the gang. Very disappointed. Brad

Stopped by for dinner for the first time after driving by the Pub for a few years. Had a great experience… server was polite and attentive, and on top of our order…. Beer was fresh and cold, and food came out fast and was tasty. Came on a Saturday night before the band went on; wasn’t too loud, and was a fun, lively atmosphere. We’ll be back for sure.

Stopped here for dinner on first night of our Brigantine weekend. Did not really have any expectations other than looking for a few drinks and some decent food. Place was a little empty at 1930 on a Friday night. Took a few minutes to get seated. Waitress was nice and ran down the beer list for us. I’ll admit a list to read would have been nice but I ended up just snapping a few pictures of the tap handles and texted them to our group. Beers were good and cold. We ordered not really expecting much-kind of nervous if I’m honest. Food came and quite frankly it was awesome! Elevated bar food is how I’d describe it. We had wings, chili, onion rings, fig snd jelly flat bread and a chicken salad. A surprise is that the chili came with homemade tortilla chips! Everything was really good. The place started filling up and a band began to set-up for a 2100 show. I suspect this is the go to evening place in Brigantine and it did not disappoint. The waitress got really busy but she never lost sight of us and even took some time to tell us about some great places to try while we were in town. We stayed for several songs from the band ( great sounds and not too loud-we could still talk to each other). We were happy with our first visit and will definitely come back.

Unfortunately, ever since new ownership took over my experiences at The Pub at St. George’s could’ve been better. It's a laid-back gathering place located in the Brigantine Town Center Associates strip mall. They’re located below a fitness center, so depending on when you visit be prepared to hear the gym members dropping their weights. To me, this spoils the atmosphere. It has mediocre pub grub and brews with sports on TV. Hopefully, my future experiences at St. George’s will be better.

Had a great breakfast with excellent service. The new team is just finishing up the interior ( still hanging TVs) and . it was our servers third day, but they are off to a very good start.
Alice M — Google review
This is our second time here in the last four years. We went in around 8:15 pm and they closed at 9. There was only one waitress and one girl cleaning tables. Not attentive to quick service. If you were sitting at the bar you were taken care of. Not sure if I would come back. Food wasn't worth the price.

Bar
Nestled in the heart of Highlands, NJ, The Seafarer Bar is a delightful new addition to the local scene that perfectly blends relaxation and fun. Just a year old, this outdoor haven invites you to enjoy drinks with friends while basking in the warmth of bonfires and the soothing sounds of the beach. With cozy seating adorned with blankets and lanterns, it’s an Instagram-worthy spot that guarantees envy-inducing photos.
What a fun location to have drinks listen to live music and dance! We always have a blast on the deck when the funk band JO and the Highland Express play! The food truck provides the most delicious and tender chicken shish kabobs we have ever had. The mood is casual with sand underfoot in many areas. There are couches and picnic tables everywhere. There is a covered area for shade and some umbrellas. Definitely bring sunscreen and a hat. We are sure to return often!

Came here after a nice day out fishing and the people that are there are sooo nice! The outdoor area is beautiful and clean. We just happen to pass by and they were holding an Disco Day with some local vendors. There was a DJ and it was a very fun vibe with little activities. The food there was DELICIOUS. You can order online and the food comes out perfect. There was two private parties but there was ample space for everyone else. It looks like even if the weather is starting to get a bit chilly, they have little fire pits. Can't wait to go back!

Best spot around! Cool and casual place to hang out with friends or family. Amazing drinks and atmosphere on the water overlooking sandy hook/the city. Usually some good live music and bands. Food made there is so delicious- various hand-held bites. Staff is always helpful and friendly :)

My favorite beach bar!!! Harrison (the manager) is the most kind and professional, he recently helped me plan an intimate birthday party for my husband and went above and beyond to make it special despite the rainy weather. This place is fun - with awesome food and drinks and a positive energy, the views can't be beat!

Open air bar and kitchen. Felt like a local. Decent small plates with disposable serving ware. Music was creative solo musician playing with loop recording, not to loud. Excellent view.

Jenkinson's Boardwalk is a renowned oceanside attraction that has been around since 1915. It offers a wide range of family-friendly entertainment, including amusement park rides, arcade games, and mini-golf. The boardwalk also features numerous casual dining options where visitors can indulge in treats like caramel apples, salt water taffy, cheese steaks, and pizza.
We love this boardwalk! The staff is friendly and it’s always a good time. The rides are fun for our 5 year old and the prices are good. They have a lovely sweet shop and aquarium. It’s also kept very clean. Cute beach bars and photo ops as well. A really nice experience

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4-Star Review for Jenkinson’s Boardwalk – Point Pleasant, NJ Jenkinson’s Boardwalk is a classic Jersey Shore gem! Great mix of family fun, ocean views, and nostalgic vibes. The beach is clean and well-maintained, and the boardwalk is bustling with energy—especially in the summer. The rides are a nice touch for younger kids, and the amusement rides offer something for all ages. Lots of snack options from fried Oreos to pizza and ice cream—definitely a cheat day paradise! Also love funnel cakes here Parking can be tricky on busy weekends, and prices (like many shore spots) can add up quickly. But overall, it’s a fun, lively place to spend the day with family or friends. Highly recommend for a full-day outing at the shore!

I wasn’t really sure how I should rate this place. On one hand it is beautiful. Well kept you can tell that it’s a beach town. It’s been around for a really long time. My rating is because I thought it was really expensive. First, you have to pay to get on the beach per person over 12 and then when we went walking on the boardwalk I thought the prices were really high and the quality of merchandise that they had wasn’t worth the price. The food prices were really high, again, not surprising, but it was just mediocre. The best part about it for me was the beach, it was really clean, didn’t have a whole bunch of broken shells all over the place, which allowed me to walk in the sand in my bare feet. Something I’ve generally don’t do because I am diabetic and cuts to my feet could cause me to get infections Which could cause me to get amputations, something I don’t wish to have. This is just my opinion. I’m sure some people would disagree.

Since 1928, Jenkinson's Boardwalk has operated as an amusement park and prominent tourist attraction among those in Ocean County and for families and area tourists alike. For the first time in over 16 years, I came to this such boardwalk on a recent trip out to the Jersey Shore as a means of spending my last full day of my recent trip in a manner of peace and action. I came to this such boardwalk during the afternoon on a Wednesday evening and found myself flattered at just how impressive the boardwalk area really was during my time. I was especially impressed with how much there was to do. From shops to food stalls, and even arcades, this boardwalk has something for everybody. I came also during one of the prominent events that are held on the pier during the summer months, and was easily enamored by the theme of Christmas in July they were offering during my time at the boardwalk. The entryway to the beach also offers a robust experience that allows you to experience the Sand and the Atlantic Ocean from a distance. Overall, coming here was a surprise and a great treat to end my trip to the Mid-Atlantic Region, I hope to come back in the future and experience more of what the boardwalk has to offer.

Nice place to visit. Boardwalk very clean and lots of places eat and spend family time. Although the boardwalk games cost from $5 to $20 each game to play, be prepared to spend a rent payment for a day. The beaches were walkable but no life guards on duty as it was the end of Sept. There is an aquarium, mini golf and kiddie rides along with a tiki bar for the adults. Nice day trip.

This is an excellent beach with Boardwalk. Very well maintained. Easy to navigate with google maps. Hard to find free/paid parking also near the beach especially over weekends. There is hourly parking with less price changes for weekdays/weekends/holidays but reasonable price. $40 day parking is also available and may get some spots here. Street parking is available but mostly get filled unless we want to walk a mile. We visited this over weekend and there is ticket for adults only for $15. Children under 12 are free to enter. Boardwalk area is full of stores. Restrooms are available and no rush at all here. At the entrance itself, there are showers available to take batch while returning. All are free. There is lot of space to place our tents and chairs to take rest in the beach. Very well maintained the whole beach. Beach is opened to go in water only until 5.30 PM. In the sand area we can stay until 11 PM it seems. Excellent beach to visit with whole family and friends. Everyone will enjoy this place for sure. Can't go deep in water as there is little deep. Waves were so speed in the evening, so probably that could be the reason for not allowing into water after 5.30 PM.

Plenty to do - lots of food options, games, rides, aquarium, beach. We are senior grandparents and took our four year old grandson for the day. Aquarium is just right for this age. Not too big and had other animals - snakes, birds, monkeys, and more. Found an easy boardwalk game that he won for a prize!!! Lots of candy, ice cream and sweets, souvenirs, plus boardwalk food. More than half the rides were age appropriate filling the time with fun. Beach looked amazing but we did not go. Found street parking today.

If you're on the lookout for a cozy spot that embodies the spirit of Ireland, look no further than P.J. Sweeney's Restaurant & Irish Pub in Brick. This warm and inviting establishment serves up hearty American and Irish comfort food, complemented by an impressive selection of draft beers. The atmosphere is lively, especially during sporting events or when the Willie Lynch band takes the stage, making it a perfect place to enjoy good company and great music. P.J.
My sister and I had our parent's 50th Anniversary party here and it was above and beyond our expectations! The room where the party was had plenty of room for our approximately 50 guests. The staff was extremely accomodating to our requests for assistance with hanging up a big banner and allowing us the freedom to basically decorate as we chose. Everyone loved the food! My parents are extremely picky and selective when it comes to the quality of food and both of them absolutely enjoyed it. We had mixed salad, penne w/vodka, chicken francaise, and fish and chips. They allow you to bring home any food leftover...but we didn't have to since it was pretty much all gone! We were also allowed to bring our own cake which they sliced and brought back out for us. The party was on a Sunday afternoon, and I had no idea that there would also be live music. The live music was perfect for the occasion and the general demographic of the party as well! We even started dancing in the extra space we had in the party room. Overall, from reserving the place, to working with management on the meal, to the service at the party itself, everything was absolutely top notch. If you want to have a party for about 50 people, I would highly recommend this place!

Sweeney's is a great Irish pub! The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food is very good, and there are plenty of options. There are tons of drink choices and plenty of beers on tap. Definitely would highly recommend. We'll be back for sure.

Very Good place. Service was good, Clean. My Gaelic Chicken was tasty. However, they should should Mash potatoes in the Kitchen instead of this cheap stuff and add butter as an option. Charge extra dollar for it. Hence taking the point off. I can't imagine enjoying Bangers and Mash of this kinda mash potato is served. It's not bad but it's NOT Irish!

Large restaurant with a huge bar and tons of TV's. Big menu and specials almost every night (Try the $5.99 burgers on Thursday!) Wings were nice and crispy. Large selection of traditional Irish food as well (some of them modernized or with a twist)

It appears that this is THE Irish pub for/in Ocean County. Friendly and informative wait staff, great selection of beer and spirits and a great menu based around classic Irish cuisine. The pub has a comfortable warm feel to it and it's certainly gets lively during sporting events and most definitely for the Willie Lynch band. Recent decor updates feature flags and scarves involving Liverpool Football Club and Sweeney's hosts matches for fans of the club. Definitely will return.

The person at the front was very nice, we sat down and waited over 10 minutes for someone to come greet us at the table. As soon as we were looking for another place to eat the server showed up. He really tried to help, but ordered steak and “all out” ordered shrimp salad and “out of shrimp” finally I just settled for a burger and well that was not so great. New to Tom’s river but FIRST AND LAST FOR ME on this place.
