Distillery
Tavern 27, located in Laconia, New Hampshire, is a charming Americana tapas restaurant and piano bar known for its cozy ambiance with exposed-wood beams and a fireplace. The establishment prides itself on serving locavore American tapas and drinks made from scratch using organic and local ingredients whenever possible. The menu is a creative blend of flavors inspired by the owner's native Louisiana cuisine, offering guests a familiar yet innovative dining experience.
Was visiting the area and stopped in here for dinner and drinks. Such a charming place. Very cozy. Not many tables but we arrived early and got a table. I got a blueberry basil blast martini that was good but didn’t taste any basil. Also got an espresso martini that was very good. Shared food that included cheeseburger soup, chicken tenders, Parmesan truffle fries and bacon Mac and cheese. All the food was great. The Mac and cheese was my favorite. Definitely recommend.

Ray, Leslie and Ryan, I had another great experience at the Tavern 27 tonight. I played a round of golf this evening and the course was in the best condition I’ve ever seen since I’ve been coming here over the past decade. Give thanks to you and all your help. I had a couple beers after with a few people that I met tonight. We had great conversation and a few laughs. The bartender was extremely cool and professional as always. The experience was as usual top notch! Whitey

Great vibes at this place, discovered it about a year ago after always passing by it. Wonderful staff, food and drinks are top notch and unique. Also they have an amazing mushroom festival every year.

Amazing! The food was excellent and the owner was super nice. You can tell she truly cares about providing a safe meal for people with food allergies. Super laid back atmosphere and great blues music playing inside the martini bar.

It becomes One of our favorites. Staff is amazing, I love the atmosphere and we have had a great meal from here.

Pulled up not knowing what to expect on a cold and rainy afternoon, couple of gentlemen playing a few rounds on a par 9 golf course. Great people, excellent food. The owner Ray and his wife are genuine people who truly care about what they do. We ordered from trolly 27 which is the food truck out back and we loved everything about it! Thanks for the food, the conversation and the memories! -Chef Michael and family!

Ended up here because our first choice closed earlier than expected, then waited for reservations and boy was that fortuitous and worth it. The owner seated us by the fire, each dish was exquisite and perfectly seasoned, the staff was attentive, the drinks were solid, and the piano player was the unexpected perfect touch that tied it all together. Then the bill arrived. My companion and I had been discussing what we expected the bill to be, given this was two adults not holding back, having alcohol and desert. The check was half of what he ballparked. If you are in the area and you are looking for an elevated dining experience, you must go to Tavern 27.

The best dining in experience in New Hampshire for me so far. Oh my god! Such an unusual atmosphere, so nice and refreshing. Loved the food and hot Apple cider in the middle of cold winter - all you can wish for.

If you're on the hunt for genuine Texas-style barbecue, look no further than The Alamo Texas BBQ & Tequila Bar in Weirs Beach. This local gem is celebrated for its slow-smoked meats and robust dry rubs, paired with hearty Southern sides that create a delightful dining experience. With a relaxed atmosphere and generous portions, it's the perfect spot to satisfy your cravings for brisket, ribs, pulled pork, or smoked chicken.
This place is busy but worth the wait! The Texas BBQ is on point at The Alamo, everything was smoked to perfection. The brisket was tender with a great smoke ring and the ribs were fall the bone. They have all kinds of tequila options and the margaritas were very good. Highly recommend coming here if you're in the area. There's an inside bar, roof top bar and some extra seating for just drinks too.

My Husband and I came here during vacation. We each had a soda ( only 1 free refill allowed???) I ordered the tater tot with pulled pork appetizer. My Husband had the mac & cheese with buffalo chicken and jalapeño corn bread. The corn bread was slammin. The mac & cheese was good. The pulled pork was very fatty. Our server was very nice. My Husband paid and tipped. That night I went to do a Google review and looked at the check to include price in the review and realized we paid for someone else's bill. They had alchol, an appetizer and 2 entrees. It was significantly higher than our bill would have been. I went in the next day, asked for the manager. She took care of it immediately, our waiter happened to be there and came out to apologize. Not necessary....im sure he didnt do it intentionally. I would go back but I would try something different next time. It is conveniently located by weirs beach

I do like BBQ and was willing to try a new place on my day trip to the mountains. The drinks were okay. The jalapeno and cheese sausages were spot on. I enjoyed the pull pork. We ordered the potato tots with brisket chili. The tots were tasty. The star of the show was their different BBQ sauces. Will try again in the future.
Cathy K — Google review
Came in on one of their soft opening. Overall good we will be back. We split a "pick 3" chicken good, ribs good, burnt ends dry. Bake beans are good, side of loaded tater tots ok. The Mexican Corn needs a little work. Pricing is not bad. Good job guys
Glenn C — Google review
After 2 hours of waiting to be seated and for our food, we finally asked to have our food be packed up as takeout because we were starving and upset. 10 minutes later it comes out with a 200$ bill. We pay and go home to eat because we were starving, as we weren’t offered our appetizers or any bread. Our food was cold and barely edible. Portions are small and no sauces on anything. I had ordered a shrimp smoked sausage and received the Mediterranean one that had casing so thick that you couldn’t chew it with a filling of mush. I am not a picky person and will eat mostly anything but couldn’t eat this. Truly upsetting and unfortunate because it is too late to get food anywhere else at this point.

My dad and i got some food and drinks here during bike week and it was perfect. Hidden gem with amazing views of the lake from the top deck and I’d definitely go back. Brisket sandwich was perfect
Tyler ( — Google review
The restaurant seemed clean and well put together, but it was exceedingly hot inside. They had front windows open, but still had to be close to 75 degrees inside, if not warmer. Others in the restaurant were sweating. Food was decent, but the price was egregiously expensive. "Mexican street corn" which was basically a side grilled ear of corn was 8 dollars. When ordering a to go order of chili, we were asked if we wanted tortilla chips with it. We agreed. When we get the check, the chips were a 4 dollar upcharge for maybe a handful. Would have been good to know. My burger was excellent; juicy, well cooked and seasoned. The loaded tots however, had what seemed like a freezer burned taste. The cheese sauce helped mask it, but not completely. My wife had a half chicken platter which was tasty, hers came with Mac and cheese and the "Mexican street corn" as included sides. The Mac and cheese was good, the corn was lackluster, as stated above. Overall, for what we paid, we could have gotten dinner at the nearby concert venue and spent less and been more satisfied. Our waitress seemed nice enough, but after the check came out, she disappeared. Would consider going again with a few adjustments.
Erick K — Google review
Food was cold. Very disappointed in the service here. The 2 women servers were good, but the guy at the end lied to me. Said they just reheated my meal, but the gal who brought it to the table said it was a whole new meal. Way over priced for what you get. Minuscule amount of Burnt ends. I ordered the 3 meats dinner.

American restaurant
T-BONES Great American Eatery is a delightful family-friendly restaurant that has been a staple in the Laconia community since 1984. Known for its extensive American menu, it offers an array of options that cater to both adults and kids alike. What sets T-BONES apart is their commitment to homemade goodness; every dish, from soups and salads to sauces and desserts, is crafted right in their own kitchen.
I don't know what else to say but would you believe everything we ate was only $50 total. I wish this place was in my state. So cheap and more than I expected. You guys have chicken wings, burgers, brownies along with mocktails that are ridiculously good. I don't understand how it can be so good and so cheap. I only came here for tourism but I will be back next time I'm in New Hampshire. Thanks to the nice young lady who served us. must try what we chose, delicious

Food was really good, our server was Great! The hostess on the other hand was not friendly, didn't smile. Seemed put out to sit us and didn't even say have a good day or thanks for eating with us when we left.
Tamie B — Google review
VERY impressed with this T-Bones! All aspects. Service was some of the best we've ever had at any restaurant. We sat out on the new deck on a warm summer day and there was live music! I got the pick two for $16.99 (CHEAP). 1/2 chicken parm on ciabatta, french onion soup, and homemade chips. The french onion soup wad perfect, and the chicken parm was probably the best chicken parm sandwich I've ever had. Photo doesnt lie... NO editing whatsoever on that thing.

Came in at ~8pm last night, our server was absolutely amazing, very personable and attentive, checked in on us frequently and went above and beyond. The happy hour deals are from 8-close, we were already planning on ordering things that just happened to be on the happy hour menu, because they have so many options for happy hour. The steak was the most tender, delicious steak I’ve ever tried, the complimentary bread was so soft, the drinks were so delicious and stong but not too strong. The new outdoor dining is gorgeous and vast. Tons of parking, amazing atmosphere, and they were playing some fun music from the 80s (not sure if that was on purpose or a coincidence). This has been one of my all time favorite places to eat since I was about 8, and I’m almost 27. Consistently amazing.

Great food, always a good experience at a t-bones. Sat at the bar, got loaded potato slices, and haddock to eat, plus a bourbon to wash it all down. It all tasted amazing, will definitely go back when I come back to weirs beach.

Honestly, food was really tasty! One item came out missing bacon but they fixed it and took it off the bill. Carter and Alison did an amazing job and i would 100% recommend and come back!

There is a great atmosphere. Food was ok because onion rings are too hard, wings a little too dry but chicken tenders was great they were tender.

The Pineapple Pico Haddock Fish Tacos and a new special burger were both amazing. Our waitress was also excellent. It was our first time here.

Restaurant
The Union Diner in Gilford, NH is a must-visit restaurant with a unique setting. It opened in June 2009 and is housed in an original 1951 Worcester dining car, complete with an adjacent dining room adorned with vintage artifacts from the 1960s and 1970s. This cozy neighborhood eatery offers a welcoming hometown feel where patrons can catch up over beers and signature burgers or bring the whole family for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
I really enjoy this diner. We have visited many times, and every experience was identical. People are very friendly here. There were a lot of regulars here who obviously enjoy it! What I noticed most was the banter between waitresses and customers. You feel comfortably welcomed and certainly looked out for. There was a younger boy working there who was so polite I had to mention it. The no frills atmosphere is fine, mostly a rock music theme with framed concert tickets and posters. The staff is wonderful. There are two sections to sit in,the original “Diner”part with booths and bar, and another section that has tables and booths. When you are in Laconia NH and want a quick meal and plenty of smiles, give it a try.

Yum! We're so spoiled to have Union right down the road from our Meredith home. We need to take advantage of this amazing place more than we do, a comfort food establishment. Servers are always cheerful and you'll never have an empty coffee cup! Food is amazing, my loaded omelet even had a little corned beef hash mixed in, delicious! Union Diner and Windmill Diner (Concord), hands down the two best kept secret breakfast spots in all of NH!

Typical diner. Reliably good but not outstanding. We had monkeys pancakes and waffles. All were good but the home fries were unimpressive. I ordered crispy bacon and it was underdone. Prices were good.

Great little diner for our Cottage. Came to visit the town and needed some hearty breakfast to start our day and the food was INCREDIBLE

Perfect poached eggs and yummy bacon. Having been a breakfast waitress on and off for over 40 years - I can assure you, this is the place to start your morning! My server, Maryann, was a delight! Stop in and get some good food!

Great diner-type local place. Very reasonable. Straight forward American breakfast food. Highly recommend this place!
Bill D — Google review
Well this was the second day in a row I had breakfast here. I love the real old diner feel. Day one I got eggs Benedict. It was delicious and huge! I had hash browns for my side. Today I had the eggs Lorraine and loved it as well. Again hash browns and home made sourdough toast. The best part of today's visit was that when the waitress cleared our plates she said have a nice day, your bill has been paid. It wound up being that man next to us at the counter. He knew I had cancer and said he lost his wife to cancer years ago. I was touched by his Jester and kind words. I got teary eyes because it makes you realize there are nice people who really care. An event like this reminds me that there is so much kindness in this world. I will be paying this gesture forward. Go to this diner, it's great food and very nice staff and customers too!

I absolutely love this place , the owner is always working so hard and great to her employees. My food is always top tier, as I always get it to go and it’s just as good , great on the phone and they make it super fast. Absolutely love the amazing costumer service, you can tell the owners are loved because they have so many little gifts on display from costumer’s and that’s hard to find in this day and age. I always give my money to this place just in costumer service and the great food is the cherry on top. Just wanted to acknowledge the hard work. Keep being rockstars ❤️❤️😁

The Blue Bistro at the NASWA Resort offers a diverse menu of native American cuisine and exceptional seafood dishes that are worth the price. This would not have been the same experience without our server/waitress Sashaye. She had one of those personalities no matter what you went through that day it was going to be ok and she would make pains to take care of you no matter what she’s done that day too. Smile and laughter filled her eyes. We have had such a rough couple weeks and She was great entertainment and very sweet to us. Let us get to the food part of this rant. They have these bread/cakes that had a few herbs baked into it and were served alongside the oil with fresh grated cheese and cracked pepper. The seafood risotto was a decadent meal. They should take pains to remove all the shrimp shells but otherwise quite a delish meal. We got truffle fries because we are truffle freeks which they didn’t disappoint and truly they were out of this world. I believe my husband even ate the crumbs. Possibly kidding but I don’t think I am. We ordered the lobster bisque. This was a very dainty version of a bisque not pretentious and just a tiny spot of lobster centered with pieces of chive as garnish, and beaming with a buttery flavor which I mostly prefer. If you are trying to make a lobster bisque chowder you load it with lobster so this minimalistic amount was perfect. It was more of a bowl size and was really filling even half of it so portion wise it was more than most would expect. The Mykonos salad was a must with steak tips. They were perfectly paired and the dressing “homemade Greek” was the right taste to go with the salad and the steak. The cheese was large chunks like traditional Greek salads and the inclusive chickpeas, chunks of cukes and with plenty of Kalamata olives gave it a hearty meal with a great flavor combo. I personally would have added Bermuda (onions) and some green peppers into the salad but it was perfect just the same and plenty to take home had you wanted. We had to order desserts of course. We ordered the carrot cake and the Tommy Bahama cake which both looked so delectable. You don’t get a dessert menu here our lovely server brings a sample plate of all they offer and once you choose she brings you a fresh plate. Lastly we bought a bottle of J Lohr Chardonnay and it tasted like heaven and the peach notes were perfectly paired with the flavors of a salad. We also got a couple cans of Notch Salem Larger and this is one beer in the can that doesn’t have a can taste. The flavor was mild and not hoppy as some lagers can be. It was light and refreshing. In closing. Our final comment will be the availability of bubbly bottled water. Saratoga is my favorite so it was lovely that we could get that for our meal. The owner stops at the table during your meal to keep things going smooth and satisfactory. We cannot wait to have our beautiful soul of a server again for our next meal and you should run over to check this place out. Make sure you ask for Sashaye. I’m sure they are all good but we really loved her and the blue bistro. We did end up going for their breakfast for a couple of the days and tried eggs, omelets, cinnamon toast, sausage, roasted red potatoes and bacon as well as their french toast and although a pricey breakfast nothing beats quality and service and both are seen here.

My friend and I sat at the bar which was great! The bartenders were fun! They said they were brother and sister! So attentive and personable!! I ordered the prime rib and my friend ordered the prime steak and we both said we’ve never had better! So yummy and the presentation was great! I guess if I had to criticize anything, it would be the piano player who is very good but just loud and I found it A little difficult to talk. The dining room is open and with everyone talking and then the music it’s just a little difficult She is great just maybe a little softer!! Every waitstaff that i made eye contact with said hello with a smile! Will be back!

Think of your best dinning experience, what did it include? Exceptional service that made you feel special, creative menu that lived up to expectations and unexpected little things that separated that restaurant from others. I give you, Blue Bistro. No words can describe how amazing our anniversary dinner was tonight, we've smiled all the way home.
Cal G — Google review
We had the pleasure of dining here twice over the weekend. Let me say that the food and service are impeccable. Standout employees like Joyce the hostess, and Marlon and Tasha are a pure joy to interact with. Joyce has a heart of gold, and she embodies the true essence of service on every level. There was only one negative during our otherwise thoroughly enjoyable time here. The owner felt it necessary to scold us because two members of our party cancelled at the last minute, and it apparently interfered with the room set-up for the evening. Well, let me tell you what, your room set-up should never be made the problem of your patrons. Hospitality is the name of the game, and your comments were inappropriate and unnecessary. You made very kind and easy going people very upset, and negatively impacted our ability to enjoy the evening at your otherwise lovely bistro.
Noreen M — Google review
My boyfriend and I had dinner here last night and it was an 11/10. We started with the shrimp cocktail which was gorgeous. I had the baked stuffed haddock... amazing. My boyfriend had the filet Oscar with lobster- it was literally melt in your mouth. Great food, great service, and the lake view was stunning. We can’t wait to come back!
Taylor H — Google review
We recently revisited The Blue Bistro at the NASWA Resort this summer and I must say that the menu, service and atmosphere keeps improving! The meals have more complexity of flavor and presentation and the "Hope Made" desserts have not lost a step, even though matriarch and pastry chef Hope Makris passed this summer at over 100 years-old! Her recipes live on as "Hope-Inspired!" Worth every calorie! The service is friendly and caring, making sure everything is just right. The atmosphere turns from restaurant to lounge later in the evening as live music creates the ideal atmosphere for that after-dinner drink. Love visiting here and the waterfront view is always captivating!

We celebrated our friends 40th birthday there last night. I can not say enough great things about the staff. They printed a happy birthday sign and but little happy birthday confetti on the table along with an awesome birthday cake that came out with a sparkler and a personal written message and a great birthday song. You do not get that around here anymore. The staff were so attentive, fun and very professional. The food was great. Thank you for making our friends birthday the best.

Lobster In The Rough, a relaxed New England establishment with a complete bar, offers various chowders, fried and grilled seafood, as well as shellfish. Unfortunately, the restaurant has experienced a decline in quality lately. Prior to the pandemic, it was a cherished spot for many patrons. However, two visits this summer (2022) revealed subpar experiences. During the first visit, the service was lacking due to new staff members since they had not been open for two summers.
We beat the lunch rush..it filled up pretty quickly after 11:30 AM on a Tuesday. The swordfish sandwich was amazing. I could barely finish...3 healthy pieces of fish on a big bun. Will definitely revisit if we find ourselves in Boston again.
Duane G — Google review
We visited this place a little while ago and it was a pretty solid seafood restaurant! I can imagine this would be the perfect spot to head to lunch when you’re out boating on the lake in summer and want to take a quick break. It’s located right in the downtown area of Weirs Beach - look for the big “Weathervane” sign, you can’t miss it! We came as a big group and still got seated quickly, serviced well, and our food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. Sometimes places take forever with big groups - not this one, so it seems they definitely are prepared for it! We got a variety of different things from the menu (I don’t have pictures of everything) including the fried whole clams, Caesar salad with grilled shrimp, clam chowder, fried fish tacos, chicken tenders, fried haddock sandwich, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and a bacon cheeseburger! as expected, the seafood was the best part, though no one was disappointed with what they got. The general consensus for us was: the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp was excellent (shrimp were fresh and had great flavor), all the friend seafood dishes were good (not the best we’ve ever had but still quite solid), chicken tenders were pretty average, mozzarella sticks were great, clam chowder was excellent, burger was pretty average as well, and onion rings were great. I don’t think you’re going to be “wowed” by anything at this restaurant, but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed by anything either - unless, perhaps, you get one of the most expensive items and expect more than what you get. I do recommend this place though! Check it out, get some fried stuff, and indulge at a classic seafood outpost that defines this region of the US!
Michael — Google review
First impressions are lasting, 3 Employees doing nothing, the upstairs where we were seated has food and debris on the floor. Asked the server to pick up the chicken tender left on the floor! The food was ok at best, adults drinking at the bar Dropping F Bombs while my young grandchildren are watching them. Food was overpriced even for a tourist Trap like Weir’s Beach! Got many things to improve upon! Will not be revisiting this place again! Shameful!
Jeffrey — Google review
My husband and I came in for lunch this morning. Even though the restaurant was busy and we were told it might be a 15-minute wait, the staff was able to seat us much sooner. We ordered the rough seafood platter, a hot lobster roll, and onion rings to start. Everything was cooked to perfection—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. There was a small miscommunication with our server, but the manager stepped in right away and handled the situation with kindness and professionalism, turning our experience into a true 10/10. We left happy, full, and already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!
Dramqtiic L — Google review
We came in for lunch and the place was absolutely empty, which the staff explained was because it’s the end of the season. They mentioned we were actually their first table of the day at 2 pm! I was surprised they’re still open! Despite that, the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The food was pricey but delicious, and everything came out quickly. (It’s seafood of course it’s pricey!) The restaurant itself was also very clean, I had seen some reviews saying it was dirty, but I honestly didn’t notice anything like that at all. There was no trash on the ground and everything was spotless! Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d happily come back. Thank you for an awesome lunch!

I grew up in New Hampshire and this place is an embarrassment to New Hampshire. It's a very casual looking place and not that clean. (Sticky tables and glasses) It was pretty empty when we got there. We ordered two steamers and one fried clams. It said market prices so I didn't think to ask (my bad) how much these would be. I saw clams at the store for $10 a lb so how pricey could they be? Much to my surprise the fried clams were over $45 and the steamers were over $40 each! I couldn't believe it! That was the biggest ripoff of any restaurant I have been to in my life. I don't recommend this place to anyone. It's not a 5 star restaurant and it shouldn't be charging 5 star prices. Save your money folks!

We visited this restaurant on our first night in Laconia. When we arrived we were seated right away upstairs with a great view of the lake out the window. We sat at our table for 20 minutes and no one came to greet us. After waiting another 5 minutes I had to flag another waiter down to ask where ours was. After another 5 minutes our waitress finally showed up to take our orders, she didn't apologize or acknowledge the fact that we'd been waiting for almost 30 minutes at this point. We got an appetizer, a lobster roll, and shrimp tacos along with draft beers. The food was pretty awful in all honesty. It was all fried and wasn't tasty at all. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Not sure about this place. Came specifically for their signature drink, the Shrimpy Mary. They were out of Bloody Mary mix at 1 in the afternoon. Had the hot dogs, nothing special but asked for onions. I had to dice the onions myself.

Tower Hill Tavern is a bi-level music venue that boasts two stages perfect for blues, rock, and country bands. In addition to the lively atmosphere, patrons can enjoy a casual American menu. The main stage is located on the second floor, while a smaller stage can be found on the first floor. For outdoor events like motorcycle gatherings, guests can revel in performances at the Sucker Punch Saloon.
Very pleasant outdoor dining. They do have indoor, as well, but it was beautiful weather, so we ate outside. Great views, as well! For dessert, definitely try the ice cream. 100% worth it!

Good place to go if you want to risk your life. My sister in law got sucker punched by an employee here, turns out they even literally call it the sucker punch saloon. If you go here, record what you can on video, so that if anything happens we can get more evidence to the police with more victims. We’ll be back with an undercover crew at some point this summer and we’ll be trying to get some videos of the employees and the other people involved to add to the police report. Word on the street is that they sucker punch people who are not regulars as some satanic type of initiation. These people are sick. These people are sad. These people are losers. The people who run this place, and the regulars who drink and do drugs here on a regular basis are morons and they are dangerous people. If you’re a normal person, you shouldn’t go here, you are putting your life at risk. If you like late night drugs and fights and white trash violence and food that gives you diarrhea, this is your place.

Our family of six stopped here for lunch after exploring Weirs Beach. The menu is small, but everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, and we really appreciated how affordable it was to feed a larger group. Great spot—highly recommend!

Me and 5 others ate here for lunch. The restaurant itself was old and run down and very dark. Our server asked us for our drinks AS WE WERE SITTING DOWN! All the drinks came in small kiddie sized cups except for the bottled water. When we looked at the prices, everybody was shocked. 16 dollars for mozzarella sticks! We were planning on everybody getting a separate meal, but we didn’t want to spend 8 million dollars on lunch. We settled on 2 $18 cheese pizzas and a Cesar salad for one of my friends. When the pizza came out, we had no plates, utensils or napkins and had to wait 5 minutes for them once we asked our server. We never got the utensils and the plates were paper. Pizza was dry and disgusting. Way too much sauce. The total came to 62 dollars. The only reason the atmosphere got 1 star is because there was a piano that we got to play. It’s safe to say that I will never coming here again and I recommend you do the same.

We come for the fried pickles which are great. I had a hot dog this time too which honestly was meh and it cost $14 which I thought was a bit steep. There was nothing special about it and the bun felt like it might have been toasted stale. I was really disappointed especiallyat that price. The pickles though were spot on and my daughter enjoyed her chicken sandwich so all was not lost! (Don't get the hot dog!)

We were in the area the Sat after Labor Day and needed some lunch, so looked online for some places and decided to come here because of their menu choices shown online. My wife really wanted a Rueben. When we showed up the place was dark inside and we couldn’t find anyone around. After a few minutes a young lady finally came and we sat outside, which was a nice area. She handed us menus that were VERY limited, like 10 items in total and told us they lost their liquor license. She then stood there and waited for our order. We asked about the Rueben and she stated, “no we don’t have our liquor license so this is what we have for food”. We were tempted to leave because there were like 10 very basic things on the menu but we were hungry. She never took a drink order, came back out to ask a few minutes later. We got a burger and a steak wrap. Both were meh. The burger was obviously just a frozen patty and tasted freezer burnt. The fries were pretty standard and the wrap was just a greasy mess. For how expensive these item were I would expect much better quality. We also did not receive any silverware or napkins. When we were done eating the waitress asked if we needed anything, we asked for napkins and she just brought an entire dispenser out to the table. A very bizarre experience that certainly didn’t match the reviews or the online menu. The waitress was nice enough but obviously had no experience. I’m not sure if they’re trying to be a sit down restaurant or just a window service place. Was the limited menu because of after Labor Day, or the liquor license meaning not as much business? I’m not sure but I can say I would not go back if it was the only place to eat for 100 miles.

The Crazy Gringo, formerly known as Ritas and Nothin Fancy, is a Mexican restaurant with occasional live entertainment. It offers delicious food at affordable prices, bursting with a variety of flavors. Whether you visit in the winter or summer when the pier is open, this place promises an enjoyable experience. Known for its mouthwatering burritos and margaritas served in mason jars, it is considered one of the top spots for Mexican cuisine in New Hampshire.
Super yummy food, great service. Right on Weirs beach strip with free parking if you park in their parking spots. Strong margaritas :)

I should have read the 1 star reviews before I ate here. Canned nacho cheese, canned salsa, half sized quesadillas, weak drinks, nasty atmosphere, nasty ceiling tiles, cook blasting hardcore rap music you could clearly hear in the dining area. You would be better off eating food from a seven eleven gas station.

We patronized this place in 2022 and the food was absolutely incredible. We couldn't stop thinking and talking about it all year long until we finally got to go back a week ago. Unfortunately, the food was not the same. I got the same dish as before and it was very evident the ingredients were of much less quality. However, their guacamole is the very best I've ever had! I would still recommend this place simply because I've tried only one dish and I cannot fully judge based on that. We are still looking forward to visiting again in a couple weeks.

This place is a bar primarily that serves Mexican food. The waitress was nice. But it's a bar atmosphere and it's small. It was annoyingly loud at times. Not a place I would bring young kids to for dinner. Food was ok. Had to pay for chips and salsa and the chips aren't warmed. My chicken fajitas were ok. The chicken was somewhat shredded but I could tell it was either boiled or cooked in a crockpot all day. The tortillas for the fajitas weren't warm at all and came wrapped in paper. My boyfriends meal had hardly any meat in it. My margarita was yummy. Don't think I would go back since there are better Mexican restaurants nearby. For those that like a bar experience I think they would like it.

Glenn N — Google review
Food was mediocre. It was a busy day but service too was not great. The server we got made us wait quite a while for just starting off with the drinks. And the rest followed suit. We ordered the combo appetizers. It was alright but not something I will recommend. Same with the salad we ordered. We were asked for id 2 times. Once while entering and again while ordering. So just to recap, we enjoyed the vibes but food and service not so much.

OMG!! Best food in my life!! Food off the charts delicious! They even served bread with dipping oils to start. Service was epic! Daniel was super attentive and wonderful. I came back twice in a row for the chicken parm!! This would be my favorite restaurant if I lived closer!! Sooo good! A must try!! Love love love!!!

Rainy day up at Bike Week so we stopped into Myrna's. Started with french martinis that were so good! Next the bread basket rocked with french baguette and olive oil with parmesan. Then we had caesar salads. On to shrimp scampi with broccoli for me and chicken parmesan with ziti for the hubs. Wow! The scampi was great with lemon and tons of garlic...but the broccoli were cooked absolutely perfectly and just the way I like it. Still with a little bit of a crunch and not mushy. Hubs loved his meal too. We ate it all so yes it was darn good!

Was recommended by friend of a friend. Started good then 40 minutes after our order the waitress claimed the cook was just in from one of the Carolina’s and not used to how busy it was (15 people there) people that came in after us were eating already. Another server came over and explained the owner was cooking tonight so the owner didn’t know how to cook for 15 people and was overwhelmed? She told me the tips we ordered was thawing so it took longer. Our wives chicken parm came out 15 minutes before our tips and to be honest the sauce on my wife’s tasted like canned spaghetti sauce without seasoning. The edges of the chicken was the only part cooked right. They brought out about 5 oz of tips and fries a bit overcooked for how I asked but then I saw on the bill $34 for tips menu said MP. When I complained about the bill one would think the server would have told the manager or owner but she went right to the card machine and ran the check. Was probably the worst dinner I have ever had. I don’t usually leave negative reviews but I would avoid Myrna’s. An older couple stopped and had heard the interaction stopped and apologized for our experience they had been there many times and even said their food was not very good.
Rob M — Google review
We ordered take out. I got a Cobb salad for $28.00. The lettuce wasn’t fresh, the chicken chewy and 2 shrimp. I didn’t want the blue cheese and asked for a substitute and they refused. They could have thrown anything on there for a $28 dollar salad but would not. If you’re going to charge $28 for a salad you could find a piece of cheese to put on it esp at an Italian restaurant. Won’t be back.

Great food but its in a tricky location. In what seems to be just a location for garden style condos, is a hidden Italian resturant where you will find amazing Italian food made from scratch. It took a few tries locating the resturant, which is situated in the covered parking area of the Paugus Bay Condos. Once we arrived we were surprised by the well appointed bar and seating area one interesting note; why were they playing 50’s music? It totally threw off the ambiance of what is otherwise a nice italian resturant. The staff was very nice and helpful and we very much enjoyed our dinner. I hope more people take the opportunity to enjoy this very nice Italian food experience in Gilford.

We visited on a Monday night where they were hosting a weekly trivia event (7-9 pm). We had so much fun!! The staff, host, and owners were friendly and full of knowledge about various topics. We had the fig and prosciutto pizza which was so yummy, we can see why it is award-winning (great crust base!). We also had the Brat bratwurst which was all very delicious. Shout out again to the staff for creating an amazing environment that was easy-going for parties who wanted to hang out privately but also for more social groups wanting to interact and learn, I think they put a lot of care into the place and we appreciated our time there. Will hope to visit again!

We had an absolutely amazing time here ! Food, ambiance, and (most importantly) the beers were ALL phenomenal and the southwest chicken wrap was arguably the best sandwich consumed of 2025 so far. Only thing better was the service — Greg was awesome! We sat outside post a hike and the picnic tables were absolutely PERFECT for two humans and a tired dog with beautiful water views from atop the hill. Would recommend to anyone who would want a chill pop-in or long afternoon (dog-friendly) hang!

The food and beverages were good, but the bartender (possibly the owner - older male, was unpleasant. Complained about tourists (which we were), and complained a lot. The place is off the beaten path, which I prefer when on vacation. It is in a very pretty area, but unusual since it was so residential. When we asked about other places in this area, he made snide remark how we should stay elsewhere if that is what we were looking for when we were simply curiously asking questions. This is how one person can harm a reputation! After receiving the owner's kind response, I looked up the owners of this brewery and saw a picture. The male owner is indeed the one who was quite rude on our visit, and now I see he was rude to many visitors and not any other bartender as he claims. End of story. I don't care to get in a tit for tat - this was simply my honest experience.

The menu was eclectic and wonderfully prepared. The cinnamon french toast, the smoked tomato soup, the lemon ricotta pancakes, and the ham/cheese croissant were wonderful picks. What a great time we had! We hadn't laughed like that in a long while. And we do have a lot of fun. It started as we entered, we waited until the help was ready to come to the sign that says "wait to be seated". It was then we were told to have a seat at the entrance, "the cook is a bit busy, it will be 5 minutes". 5 minutes later we were seated passing the 4 tables of customers. (Maybe a total of 15 people) For brunch, a small menu. We had coffee, biscuits and gravy, Croque Madame and a bloody Mary. No creamers or sugar with the coffee, needed to ask for them. When we were asked if we would like more coffee, the wait staff took our cups and brought us new cups with new coffee. Hence we needed more creamers and SUGAR! Did not see anyone with a tray to serve or clear tables. Odd. The food was tasty and hot. The bloody Mary was good, also. The best part of our breakfast was the music, Rat Pack type of music, singers and standards. I believe if the wait staff gets better training, it could be a re-visit. We wish you well in your endeavor and may you prosper.

A local hidden gem! I wouldn’t call it a “fine dining” because the price seems reasonable, but the atmosphere is definitely unique in the town. Stuff’s are on the lighter side so suits my taste. The flatbread is great. Simple, crispy, and rich in flavor. Staffs are very friendly and listen to your need. It would be perfect if they have more selection of their house made stuff on their shelves (as gifts that I can send to others), but definitely worth checking out!

Great place. The food is some of the best around for Italian and I think their Pizza is the best in the area. Service is great as well. This place would be perfect but it’s basically in an old fast food place so just a box.so that takes away some of the ambience. Easy to overlook that small ding. Just go and enjoy. We returned to Bernini's for my birthday. And it had change somewhat. They were very busy, which made it seem like they were rushing. The server was good but didn't know much about the wine list. To me it seemed like she might have been new to the restaurant. The food itself seemed to have changed a bit as well. All in all, our previius visits were a lot better than this last one.

To be honest, we still think of this as “the old Pizza Hut” but decided to give it a whirl. We are so glad we did. The staff is incredible. Jess, our bartender, was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Steph, a server, was efficient and so nice to talk to. Our drinks were delicious and the bread was to-die-for. We can’t wait to come back for dinner! PSA: they have gluten free pasta although they don’t advertise it. Edit: went back for dinner, and it was incredible. We had a shrimp appetizer, and I had the Mediterranean scallops. My husband had the Shrimp Fra Diavolo. We went with friends who picked out a great bottle of red, and we had a wonderful time. Our server was so great. I can’t remember her name (so sorry!) but she made our night even better.

So I went to NH for a family trip and to get to know the area of Sanbornton as well as the local areas. This place has great view gorgeous sunset. If i ever go back i would definitely go because if the views and perhaps finger food and the live music. Chill vibe atmosphere. However, what drove me to com3 here was the amazing service and food I had at the DOX I want to say at Laconia. I had the most amazing prime rib with mash and spagragos. Mind blowing. Thought I would get this same plate before leaving back home and this was the complete opposite. I had amazing nachos at those as well and the nachos were also different. You cant have same place and have different menus it just doesnt make any sense. Over all the mosquitoes were on a thousand and they ate the living crap of legs and children as well. Its was awful 😖 and even up going back to my restort hated the way the food was served like they were serving dogs the portion was just not it. Very disappointed. They should mesh the place out and have bug lights to keep it away from food. I get they were closing but the sever looked out of it and the bill was wayyyy more that what I paid at the other DOX it was 2 hundred 50 something and it was 2 adults and 3 children not including we also tip because we always tip. Didnt even take a picture of my food and not even after I took it back to the restort it was just not it.

Great food, view, and vibe! The Manager was kind enough to take our reservation earlier in the day, where we requested a shaded outdoor table, and as the evening approached, secured a few tables for us to choose from as the sun had moved. Very considerate and accommodating!

Came for lunch so it was very quite and we had great outside seats with nice views from the outside deck. Staff was friendly. Food was good. I could see how it would be loud at night and on weekends, but thst should be expected

After eating a lot of fried food during our vacation, my Husband and I decided we needed a salad night. I ordered a Caesar salad with blackened chicken and my husband got the garden salad with fried chicken....he ruined his healthy meal with more fried food LOL. You could order a half or whole portion. We both ordered a whole. It was a very good fresh, crisp salad. I cant say it was HUGE portion for the price but it was good and we had a lakeside view so it was fine. Unfortunately, we were seated by a large party that were less than desirable...talking about their feet and toe nails. Gross. Not the restaurants fault.

Terrible It all started when we walked in. We could see one table eating and a bunch of employees walking around looking busy. It was honestly dead but it took 10 minutes to get a seat. The guy behind the bar made eye contact multiple times but did anything he possibly could to avoid seating us but finally he had no choice and seated us with an attitude. My wife ordered scallops appetizer and no one told us until after the food came out that they were out of tartar sauce. One son ordered a side of mac and cheese and a side of loaded tots. The side plate was 4inches by 4inches and the amount of food you got did. It even fill the plate. The other son ordered chicken tenders and they were so dry he could not even bite through them. Awful. I ordered the pull pork nachos and the pulled pork was burnt and dry. $107 later and it was the worst food I have ever had. The best part was the view. I’d avoid this place. STAY AWAY!

It was okay. We had a reservation and a larger party so there was no wait. Kind of odd walking through the arcade to get there, but that's the Weirs. It wasn't super busy but the guitar player was so loud that no one was sitting in front of him and two parties asked to move. It made it difficult for us to have any real conversation until he was on break. He was good, but an overall detraction from the dinner experience rather than an enhancement. Our server was nice, but food was slow to arrive and it is was just okay. Nothing special in terms of portions, presentation, flavors, or seasonings. Most sides have to be ordered separately. The spot on the lake is great, but you can also get whiffs of the gas dock below. Some of the seating was broken and stacked behind us. Overall, I'm not rushing to go back, but I not refusing to go back. It's good for what it is and where it is. It's just okay.

Stayed in Laconia for one night. We were looking forward to trying DOX for dinner after a long day of traveling. In hindsight, we wish we had read the reviews beforehand. We sat outside and as the sun set it became quite dark and the bugs were out of hand (additional table light and or a citronella candle would help) we had to use our phone flashlight to see. The meal was quite expensive (approximately $200 for three people) and overall the food was just bad. We thought with how nice the outside looked that the food would be at least decent, especially with the prices of everything. Our server seemed somewhat unenthusiastic. Additionally, when we said goodnight to the bartender upon leaving, we received no response. The venue offers nice views, but unfortunately we do not plan to return.

We tried the Lobster Pound for the first time since moving to the area and it will definitely be the last. Management ought to be jailed for robbery. $27.00 for a clam dinner that except for the french fries was average at best. For that money we got a small plate of clams, 2 tablespoons of coleslaw served in a thimble and a cup of french fries. I ordered a glass of wine and received a glass that was filled about a quarter full. For what I paid I could have bought a bottle. We ordered our food from a waitress and it was delivered by the busboy. You also need to keep your coat on to be comfortable. Spend your money elsewhere as this place doesn't deserve it.

Had an absolutely awful dining experience here. It was such a bummer too as I was really looking forward to it, and this was supposed to be the nice big meal to cap off our weekend stay at Weirs Beach. We arrived around 9pm, it wasn't that busy and we were seated right away. Our server took our drink order and said she'd be back with some bread. She brought the bread out about 5 minutes later and we already knew what we wanted so we put our order in. I ordered the scallops and my husband ordered the chicken parm over ravioli. Our drinks came out a few minutes later and we enjoyed them with the bread (which unfortunately we would soon find out was the star of the meal). Not long after that our server came back and told my husband that they had run out of red pasta sauce, that they were headed to go to the store to get some more, so did he want to wait for it or order another sauce or another dish. This took me back a little - a place that advertises themselves as a seafood and Italian restaurant doesn't make their own sauce? He decided to order the steak tips as they stopped serving hamburgers at 5pm. Then we waited,.....and waited. During this time a manager stopped by and explained that they had run out of red pasta sauce. We explained to him that we had already changed the order with our server and he said she hadn't told him that. This should have been our first idea that the meal wasn't going to be great, if they couldn't even keep that straight. After 45 minutes of waiting, our salads finally came out. I was starving so I ate most of that, and noticed in the meantime that other diners in our area were having similar problems - 1 table received all of their entrees except for one and had to ask several times to finally get it., 20 - 25 minutes later. Another table kept asking how long it would be, that it wasn't very busy so they didn't understand what the hold up was. After more waiting, our meals finally arrived. I was very disappointed with the baked potato, it was obviously old and had just been reheated, I took a bite and was sorry I did, it was gross. My scallops didn't look great but I took a bite anyway, they were SOOOOO overcooked with a rubbery and chewey texture. GROSS. My husband's steak tips were just ok, definitely not worth the $18.95 we paid for them. The server stopped by to see how everything was, I told her that my scallops were over cooked to the point of being inedible. She asked what she could do, and that she didn't want me to have to wait longer and if I wanted to finish it. I told her I didn't want to finish it, it tasted terrible and to please take it off our bill, which she did, thank god. At this point I was past being hungry, now I was just annoyed that a restaurant with so many high ratings had failed so miserably. What was the biggest disappointment was this was supposed to be a special meal for us, we had budgeted the weekend and wanted to spend some money on a nice meal for our last night in town. To have them fail so miserably was such a letdown. I went to bed hungry and sad that our special meal had been ruined. Maybe it was just an off night, but the 4th of July weekend is not exactly the best time to have an off night. I doubt I would ever go back again.

The management clearly doesn't know what they are doing here and I'm not sure the cooks do either. We were seated promptly, but no waiter came to our table. At least 15 waiters passed us by and no one bothered to ask if anyone has come to see us. Finally my husband went to the hostess to ask for the manager because it was 45 minutes since we were seated. The manager walked over to our table with a waiter and told us they would take something off our check to make up for it. While waiting for dinner, I spilled water and we asked another waiter for some napkins after using our own to wipe up the spill. He brings back cocktail napkins! I am using cocktail napkins to wipe my face during dinner lol! Lots of young kids who don't know what they are doing in a $$$ restaurant. They brought us terribly bland food that was extremely overpriced. Again, the waiter never came back to check on us after our food came. We had to flag down another wait staff to get our check. Of course, nothing was taken off the price like the manager said. My husband gave him some very loud "advise" and we left. The whole time we were eating, other people were complaining to staff about one thing or another. Lousy place on many levels... SORRY : (

This place is an absolute joke. The only lobster they had on the menu was a twin lobster at market price. When I asked what the market price was the waitress said $54!! HAHAH. They are currently $5 at market basket. Also they wouldn't let me order a single lobster, from the "lobster" pound. The steak tips my wife got were like chewing on leather. This place is nothing more than a tourist trap. Don't waste your time

I think Robert Nirvine would have stated...find your identity, your either a Lobster House or an Itlalian Restaurant...either way I was not much impressed. Over priced for bland food. I ordered a Fettuccine and Chicken Dish that was not very impressive for the cost. The chicken looked like frozen chicken nuggets. The other issue that would discourage my return would be the Locals getting drunk at the Bar.

Service was terrible... We waited 20 minutes for our drinks a hour for our apps 2 hours and over $200.00 dollars later the owner offered to buy us a dessert to make up for everything. We of course did not want to be there for another 2 hours! The food was fine but for the price it was an unacceptable experience! On a side note I was in the ladies room and observed a waitress walk out of the stall and out of the restroom with out washing her hands!!!

Nestled at the end of the vibrant Weirs Beach strip, The Clubhouse is a delightful bar and grill that promises a casual yet lively dining experience. With options for both dine-in and curbside pickup, it’s perfect for those on the go or looking to unwind. Guests rave about their mouthwatering dishes, like the homemade meatball parm sub and flavorful chicken sandwich special topped with fresh mozzarella and veggies on a brioche roll.
It's a simple dish, but these fried Mozzarella hunks are delicious. Breading is flavorful, cheese is melted all the way through (which I was concerned about given the size of the hunks) and the sauce is delicious. Highly recommended!!!

It’s a bar & grill type atmosphere. The food is so good. I had the meatball parm sub that was one of the best I’ve ever had. Meatballs were homemade & delicious! My husband had the chicken sandwich special. Grilled chicken with fresh mozzarella, tomato, lettuce, onion on a brioche roll. He loved it as well. We will definitely be back when in the area again!
