Bistro Café is a popular American cafe located in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico. Known for its great breakfast menu, the café offers a variety of dishes including huevos rancheros. With a cozy atmosphere and friendly service, Bistro Café is a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike. The café's location makes it convenient for visitors staying at nearby hotels such as Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort.
I understand why this restaurant is so highly rated! We came as a group of 4 without a reservation on a Sunday and it was packed! Fortunately, we did not have to wait very long and the host was able to accommodate us. Please please try the guava cream cheese French toast! It was the best French I’ve ever had! Well balanced, dense in flavor but light and sweet in taste. I also had the mimosa with tequila and watermelon juice and I only needed one! The service was amazing and the food came out relatively quickly as well! I would recommend making a reservation especially if you are coming on a weekend! But this was a great spot for drinks and food!

I had the Dubai pancakes with whipped cream, and they were absolutely delicious! Our server was very knowledgeable and gave excellent recommendations. She had purplish streaks in her hair and bangs; I didn’t get her name but she provided excellent service.

My wife and I recently had brunch at this restaurant. The wait time was approximately 45 minutes, but the service was exceptional. The food was also excellent, and the portions were generous. We would definitely return.

We went for brunch and had a great experience. Very friendly hostess and server was just as friendly. Food was delicious and atmosphere was upbeat and fun where everyone looked to be having a great time. Def a must try if visiting PR

We had a great experience at Bistro Café! First thing to know: the portions are HUGE, so definitely plan to share or come very hungry. We ordered: • A waffle with Nutella, chocolate, and fresh fruits • A croque madame • A chicken sandwich with fries We also got two fresh juices and a coffee. Everything was delicious—the food was flavorful, and the presentation was beautiful. The service was really nice, and the decor of the place added to the good vibes. We paid around $90 total, which felt reasonable considering the portion sizes and overall prices in Puerto Rico. Would definitely recommend it for a fun, filling, and visually pleasing breakfast or brunch spot!

A great Brunch place in Isla Verde. Great coffee and many tasty dishes in the menu. Very large portions that can be shared. Go, you will be glad you did.

If you’re coming to Puerto Rico visiting this cafe is a must i’m so happy right now the people, the environment, the change of pace nothing compares to other cities in the us. Puerto Rico is a dream coming true mind you they ask you if they can take a picture and even have it ready for you. Puerto Rico has my heart can’t wait to come back. Thank you bistro cafe for this experience.
Ruthmel G — Google review
We visited twice during our week's stay in Puerto Rico. Each time, our wait for a table (for a party of 2) was less than 10 minutes. The food was absolutely amazing each time, and so were the beverages. Service was good. We really enjoyed our server during our second visit. She was more attentive to our needs and personable. Whereas the server during the first visit seemed really rushed and short in communication. Our food was brought in a reasonable time considering how busy it appeared each visit. Food portions were large, and we found ourselves having leftovers each time. Parking was challenging to find each visit, but if you ride around in a circle long enough, eventually, a parking spot will become available.

Piu Bello Gelato & Restaurant is a delightful spot that combines the charm of a classic American breakfast with the refreshing allure of gelato. Known for its mouthwatering offerings, guests rave about their passion fruit and coconut gelato, perfect for cooling off in the tropical heat. The menu features an array of delicious options including pancakes, omelets, and French toast topped with Nutella and fresh fruit. Diners appreciate the reasonable prices and friendly service, making it a favored choice for breakfast or brunch.
overall great experience today for brunch, staff were very friendly and allowed me to charge my phone. Mimosa was pretty good too, I got French toast bacon and eggs, I only asked for eggs but got bacon too, but I’m not complaining. My French toast was a little cold but everything else was great, I wish I got my waitress name but I forgot, she was lovely, try this place if your at the beach during the morning time it’s a short walk

Here's A Bargain!! Let's start with the bad, tourist pricing, which is understandable being in a touristic area, however out of all the restaurants we tried in walking distance, they had the best price for all the delicious food. The offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We visited every day and tried most of the menu and made some custom choices with the help of the servers Angel and Alexamarie. They both were wonderful. Alexa took care of us most days and was a friendly, insightful voice. She recommended places to visit during our stay. Angel made some strong cuba libre drinks, happy hour specials throughout most of the day. Angel Campos (dude with ruby ring) and Nichole made us some amazing gelato treats 🍦 🍨 and the chef Wilma made some of the tastiest authentic Puerto Rican dishes 😋 worth every penny. Wifi ✔️ parking ✅️ All Day Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Food: 10/10 Price: 8.6/10 tourist pricing Location: 10/10 Service: 11/10 This place is better than Platos, Kantares and Lupi's combined. Please check them out and your be glad you did.

First time here. We stopped for coffee and breakfast in the morning. In the evening we had their açaí bowl. Their food selection is perfect and the place is so nice. You have the option to eat indoors or eat outside in their small patio area.

My guy said the Cuban sandwich he ate was one of the best he has ever eaten. So let that be known! My burger was very fine. The location is magical bc its right off the beach. And if you need to get an uber, its easy and super accessible.

Friendly, quick service. Very good food, but it was a touch salty. I had the loaded fried eggs which came with two fried eggs, rice, beans, and sweet plantains. Cafe con leche was delicious. So good.

WOW 🔥 stopped by before isla verde beach and had the best brunch. Janet was extremely friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. She was one of the best servers we had in PR by far. The food was amazing, filling and affordable! The nutella latte was amazing!!! I must go back for the gelato
Taina R — Google review
We went twice while staying nearby. Went first night and had Gelato. It was good, but tourist prices, which is accept is all up & down Isla Verde. Went a few days later for bkfst. Stephanie was our server and she was attentive. I had the all meat omelet which was good. My spouse had the acai bowl. My son had the Belgian waffle with fruit. Food was good. My primary disappointment is coffee. It seems PR found the espresso machine. Too much like cafe Cubano. I even asked for cafe americano to lighten up the flavor. It is not my grandmother's PR cafe crema. I had to add water and ask for milk or cream. I'm probably singling out this place but everywhere we had bkfst, all the stinking coffee was too much like cafe Cubano...no offense to my latin brethren. So overall, bkfst was best we had during our stay.

Absolutely amazing experience at Piu Bello! Jeannette provided outstanding service from the moment we walked in — warm, attentive, and incredibly kind. She made us feel so welcome and taken care of. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. It’s rare to find this level of service paired with such great food. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Jeannette, for making our morning so special!

Bakery
Breakfast restaurant
Brunch restaurant
Panadería España is a Spanish bakery located in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico. The bakery offers a variety of delicious treats and dishes, including strong coffee, Cubano sandwiches, caldo gallego soup, seafood paella, and braised chorizo. They also serve fresh orange juice and baked goods such as pan de aqua, oversized cookies, and cheese pastries called quesitos. The restaurant has a simple dining area where guests can enjoy their meals.
Very wide selection for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was very busy—and I can see why! They also have a huge variety of baked goods and sweets. The roast beef and chicken sandwiches were simple yet delicious, and the bakery items were equally tasty. As a visitor to Puerto Rico, this was a wonderful experience that truly made me feel immersed in the local culture and cuisine. The staff were very friendly! I only wish I had discovered this place earlier so I could’ve visited more than once during my trip!
Adrienne S — Google review
Everything is made fresh to order, which makes a big difference. It’s definitely a must-visit spot for tourists! It’s always busy, but the staff are friendly and attentive. The food was good, just as expected, and they offer a little bit of everything on the menu—something for everyone. The only downside is that parking really sucks, so be prepared for that. Otherwise, great experience!
Carmen — Google review
This place has the potential to be a 5 out of 5, but I would rate it a 3.9. Unfortunately, its popularity has led to a decline in the quality of service. The staff seem stressed and are not in the best mood, with the exception of the car security guard, who is incredibly friendly and attentive—his demeanor nearly elevates this review to a 3.5. There is a wide variety of food options and generous portion sizes, but the soup is disappointingly small. The fried foods are often sad, cold, and not fresh, whereas the cooked dishes and salads are fresh. It's a matter of quality versus quantity—you decide. Overall, this place could certainly improve to achieve a rating of 4 or higher. However, the pastries are nice and offer a good variety as well.
Xavier R — Google review
This place was absolutely delicious. We ended up trying a bunch of baked goods and a few sandwiches. Everything we sampled was fantastic, but their sandwiches were by far the best. Their service was great and fast. Their parking was pretty bad as people parked everywhere. Overall if you have the ability to drive here it’s definitely worth it for your tastebuds.
Coach T — Google review
Why this place has so many good reviews? Cheese flan? It tasted artificial vanilla. Croqueta? It tasted fried dough! I couldn’t eat the whole sandwich, they added a lot of bad quality ham, and cheese that did not tasted cheese, bread was not crispy. The only thing I had that was good, was the coffee, that it! Other thing, staff do not want to be there, they treat you like: “what are you doing here?”. Horrible.
Mariana B — Google review
I was visiting from out of town and HAD to stop at a panadería before catching my flight and this one was on the way. Lucky me. The service was outstanding, the attendant working with me even picked out the best avocado to take home an eat in 1-2 days. I had a lot of fun picking from the assortment of pasteries. I also got a meal from their hot buffet to eat on the plane, which was comforting and flavorful. Next time, I'll have to sit down to eat here, and do a little shopping.
Molly W — Google review
I first spotted Panadería España on my way to Luquillo during my first trip to Puerto Rico, but that trip went so wrong I never got the chance to try it. The second time I visited PR, I landed and immediately told my family, “We have to go!” And we did and wow. We ended up having breakfast there every single day of the trip. The food was absolutely amazing it brought me right back to my childhood. The flavors were just like the ones I grew up with in Spain. And the bakery? No words can do it justice. If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. One of the best places I’ve ever been.

During our recent visit to San Juan, Puerto Rico, my wife and I visited this deli. Despite the substantial queues, the sandwiches were exceptionally delectable. The establishment offers a wide selection of pastries, coffee, and sandwiches.

If you find yourself in Isla Verde, make sure to stop by Panadería Las Canarias for a delightful culinary experience. This charming eatery is perfect for quick bites and offers a taste of Caribbean flavors that will leave your palate dancing with joy. Families love it here, as even the pickiest eaters are satisfied—one seven-year-old raved about their meals! The atmosphere is casual and welcoming; upon entering, you're greeted with warm smiles that set the tone for your visit.
Las Canarias Cafe is hands down the best breakfast spot in San Juan! The ‘Gran Canarias’ breakfast is phenomenal, packed with flavor and perfectly cooked every time. The empanadas are a must-try—crispy on the outside and deliciously filled. The coffee is rich and smooth, the perfect start to any morning. But what truly sets this place apart is the warm, attentive service that makes every visit feel special. Thank you for delivering an amazing experience, Las Canarias Cafe I can't wait to come back next time I visit Puerto Rico!

Stopped in here on our way to dropping off our SIXT rental car before heading to the the Airport. I wanted to pick up a CUBANO Sandwich to before going to the airport (prices are much higher there). I noticed due to the location of Isla Verde Beach and the hotels Las Canarias would be a good choice for tourists to come here and the reason the signs were in english. While waiting for the CUBANO we also had a coffee since it was pouring outside. The CUBANO was pretty good and will probably stop in here in the future and the prices are reasonable due to the location.

One of my favorite restaurants in San Juan!! All the food was fresh and delicious full of flavor. Definitely one of the places I will come back to when I am in San Juan.
Crystal B — Google review
It was OK. Got the Cubano sandwich and soursop juice. I had better Cuban sandwiches in Puerto Rico. Glad to have some restaurant options near the hotel. Nothing really special or memorable about this place.
Stella L — Google review
Arrived at 11:00am on a Tuesday. Affordable breakfast options and the place was very clean. Parking was easy and not crowded. I ordered the scrambled eggs with sausage and home fries. Food was full of flavor and the portions were more than enough for one person. Coffee was fresh and very good. I would definitely come here again.
MICHAEL S — Google review
We stopped here before our flight. The ladies that took my order were okay. I ordered a club sandwich no bacon, empanadas, and a breakfast platter. My food came and I thought I checked it because I saw they put tomatoes on their that wasn’t ripped, but clearly I didn’t check it too well. I was in a rush to get to the airport for our flight, so half blame on me. I repeated to the cashier 3 times NO BACON! I ordered the food to have for later for my child. We got home hours later (that night) opened it again, and the bacon was there hiding between the bread and turkey. I had to pick around to what wasn’t touching the bacon as we don’t eat pork AT ALL!! Money wasted because I couldn’t salvage much.

Breakfast restaurant
Denny's is a casual eatery chain that offers traditional, comforting American cuisine, including all-day breakfast options. The restaurant prides itself on its welcoming and hospitable atmosphere, where polite and bilingual staff provide excellent service. In terms of accessibility, Denny's features a handicap entrance and parking facilities. Notably, the establishment has implemented some significant changes recently, such as removing dividers at the checkout counter and booths.
Welcoming and very chilly room temperature. Service is always fast and friendly. Sports on large screen T.V.'s. Free street parking or unground free parking with handicap parking, entrance with tables to accommodate.
Antonio M — Google review
The workers were extremely nice and courteous. Its not very crowded usually which is also nice. Only problem is the food actually wasnt that good, some of it felt re-heated and the coffee was sour. Not worth the price.
BlueWolf216 — Google review
I decided to give Denny’s another try, as the last one I gave them wasn’t as bad as the first. However, now I can say I’m not coming back. To start, when I entered the place, there was no one at the counter and I had to go up to the main kitchen just to be seated. Moreover, the restaurant had a strange, old and dusty atmosohere, and the bathrooms NEED remodeling; it was extremely gross to use it! Our waitress was kind and always had a smile, which is great, but she just kept messing up our drinks. For starters, she told us she had spinach at first, then she came back and said there was no spinach, which mens we had to change our drinks, and lastly, she came and told us there was spinach which means my dad and I could drink our Tropical Green. Also, she messed up the soup of the day, and said it was potato ínstead of the actual chicken one. On the other hand, the food was mid… I must say the bourbon chicken felt high quality, and the sauce was decently ok. However, the vegetables and salted potatoes were to cry for…. To start, the vegetables didn’t have ANY flavor and they were very, very dry; the salted potatoes, similarly, were also not seasoned at all and they were dry. Even though we were having dinner, my mom ordered a crępe breakfast, and she didn’t like it all. The crępe was stale floppy and pale, and the hash browns say to hard to eat. She said the eggs were good, though. So, I really wouldn’t recommend Denny’s for everyone, and much less for breakfast.
Félix — Google review
The food is always good. Service was quick & friendly. Ambiance was quiet which I enjoyed.
Jacquie A — Google review
Food was wrong and cold, we were not greeted good morning or welcome at all, had to walk inside up to the front of the kitchen where I could find someone to seat us. Jus very bad customer service. While I was ordering the waiter walked away TWO times I guess maybe she was assuming I was done when I wasn't even asked if I was and I was clearly STILL speaking with no pause so I really don't get why she would try to leave. Did not get options for my pumpkin pancakes which is why I received pumpkin pecan pancakes wrongly which I did not ask for at all. Never did I mention pecan. I only said pumpkin pancakes. My sausages were plain cold like they had been sitting out for at least 20 minutes prior to being served to me. It was just a bad experience. Never once was I oriented that I had to walk up to the entrance to pay, I asked for the bill and sat there waiting for the waiter to come take my payment and after about 10 minutes I asked her to take my payment and THAT'S when she told me I had to pay up front. Almost got late to my appointment waiting for her to come take my payment because I was not told how the process was and I don't work there, so they should not assume that I know the process, it was my first and last time visiting this Denny's. I'd rather go to Caguas and wait longer but get a way better service, just for the pumpkin pancakes.

Starbucks is a well-known coffeehouse chain originating from Seattle, offering its signature roasts and light snacks along with WiFi access. Some customers have suggested that the establishment could benefit from more staff to reduce waiting times, especially during busy hours. Despite this, others appreciate the breakfast sandwich options and the availability of sugar-free syrup for their drinks. Additionally, some patrons have praised the friendly and accommodating nature of the staff at certain locations.
Very busy, service can be a bit slow, like other Starbucks stores, sandwich options/croissants are prepackaged and a bit stale but ok once reheated and drinks decent
Jasmine Z — Google review
Quite frankly, this was perhaps the worst coffee experience I’ve ever had the misery of facing. Judging by other reviews, the common 35 minutes in line for a coffee is insane. The service was poor and the staff, whilst I’m sure are pleasant people, were incredibly slow and have zero sense of urgency, and actually moving the 50+ deep queue appears to be at the bottom of their work/social agenda for the day. When I finally got served, the order was wrong, being charged for items I didn’t purchase and giving me the incorrect receipt for expenses - apparently the printer was at fault, rather than the server who binned all of the receipts in front of me. Anyone giving this a 5 star review is clearly going to a different Starbucks. Avoid, at all costs.
David R — Google review
Went to this location at the airport ... line was very long a d service was slow .. Cashier was upset because I asked her to give me a new cup because she grabbed it with her finger INSIDE the cup, and she did it again when she replaced the cup ... clearly, this was muscle memory. She also was handing money so I just want her dirty fingers in my cup. Asked for my drink to be extra hot and it wasn't i had to have it remade after waiting over 20 mins to get it. Not only that cups where lined up in the order that customers paid the worker took a cup behind mine and made it. I spoke up and said wait I am next... I asked for a toasted bagel, and it was burned This location doesn't NOT put the cream cheese on the bagel for you they put the dirty cream cheese container in your bag with your food. I did ask for my bagel to remade, and it was done with no problem. When I order my coffe and told then how many sugar I got it and said it's not hot and no sugar was added i was told that I need to add the sugar myself at the side... , there is no pre ordering here,by way of the app they need to have more workers and more training.

Long wait due to baristas chatting behind the register. No apologies for the wait. White chocolate mocha was subpar - not even the right color.

Third time I come to this airport location in the morning and the Starbucks is closed. Not sure what their hours are, but they don’t actually seem to open early. Current time 7 am and no one is around. Previous visits were at a similar time.

5:30 am line moved fairly quick, 30 minutes . Ordered Majorca ham and cheese, and the bacon egg and cheese, one hot chai latte, I asked if they heated up the Majorca, they said yes. They lied. The bacon egg and cheese was still frozen in the middle. And we couldn’t even use are points. Will never buy there again 🫤

When I arrived at SJU at 8am. The Starbucks gate in the picture was partially opened. It is now 9:50 am and the gate is closed. The website says it is open and busy??? Café Tropical in Isla Verde has a rich history and offers a breakfast buffet with reasonable prices. The buffet is good and opens early, with the option of ordering a la carte. Visitors can enjoy delicious mimosas while taking in the nice scenery outside, although some find the birds to be extremely annoying. This spot is known for its nice food at reasonable prices and operates 24/7, making it convenient for travelers looking for a satisfying meal any time of day.

Honestly, worst food quality I have tried. I stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights and there is no other place for breakfast around that I know. Attention goes with the “food quality “, poor. And of course for what you get is over price. There are only a few tables occupied and so many waiters doing nothing. It took them over 10 min for us to get a coffee refill (oh ! But they came to charge us very quick!). I’m beyond disappointed. If I don’t see any changes I won’t be coming back. Spend your money somewhere else. If you are staying at the hotel and need lunch or dinner, go to Platos just 10 minutes walk from the hotel. And better coffee and some snacks at Banana, located at the hotel lobby.
Nicole P — Google review
Need to get a new chief, barely edible food . Worst $100 dollar meal I have every had, 2 people. There has been a trend lately for restaurants to serve whatever garbage they have laying around and charge whatever they want. The price is not an issue, but I would have had a better meal at Denny's.
Robert M — Google review
It's is convenient because it is inside the hotel but that is the only reason I would eat here again. The food was just ok. The pasta was dry and the seafood yha t was in it was just random not at all what was described on the menu. They need to add way more sauce and describe the dish as seasonal seafood or something similar so as not to mislead. The price is also inflated which I expected but the food and service should be much better

Gustos Coffee Co. is a laid-back coffeehouse with an industrial vibe, offering their own roasted coffee beans and a variety of delicious espresso-based drinks. The cozy atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable staff make it a delightful experience for coffee enthusiasts. Located in an industrial area, the well-decorated space also offers cafe fare, private meeting rooms, and even barista courses.
Super cool spot for breakfast or lunch tucked away in a commercial and industrial zone. Always clean and tidy with a cool ambiance. Food is great, coffee is the best Puerto Rico has to offer! Private meeting rooms available (6-10 people) and a coffee and accessories marketplace.

5 Star Cafe experience and great food! Wonderful coffee and service, it reminded me of the coffee shops in Chicago IL! Positive and welcoming vibes regardless if you’re local or a visitor. We ordered oat milk lattes and avocado toast + chicken salad. It was the afternoon and we asked if they could make a Mallorca with no eggs for our kid and they did even though it wasn’t on the menu, loved our experience!
Eveliz P — Google review
Everything was great! The food was delicious and fresh. I had oatmeal with nuts and fruit, perfectly paired with a beautiful latte. Service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy with a modern touch (love the brick wall and lighting!). A great spot for breakfast or coffee. I’ll definitely be coming back.

My husband lived in Italy for 8 years which is where we thought we had the “best coffee”, until we came to Gustos. It was the best cappuccino we have ever had. The banana bread is also amazing.

Love this coffee and it wasn’t until this visit that I realized this location was where they roast their coffee. Great coffee shop with ample seating perfect for a date, friends chat or solo to just enjoy a great cup of cafe. They have all their coffee available for purchase. Their service is imaculate!
Maria S — Google review
Love the place. The atmosphere is inviting and very creative. The service is very professional, and I must add that one of employees, when calling out your name for your food, kinda sings it to you, which makes for a funny and cool thing, kudos to that. The coffee, great! My wife has a latte, and was strong bodied, great aroma and amazing taste, how it should be. Nothing watery or burnt. And I had the charcoal mocha and it is very very good, not too sweet, not grainy or bitter. Definitely coming back when we are close by.
Angel S — Google review
I went to Gustos to buy coffee beans. I was told that I could sample their different coffee flavors and then decide which one to buy. There was no sampling, They were only serving two flavors; Yauco and Chupacabras. They were very bitter;did not like them at all. Left with empty hands!

Nestled in the Los Colobos Shopping Center, this location offers a spacious and modern atmosphere perfect for family gatherings or casual dining. Guests can expect friendly service, with staff eager to ensure an enjoyable experience.
Great coffee. Some of us had breakfast, others had light a lunch.

I really felt for the staff here. Ot is obvious they were understaffed in the am shift snd multi- tasking. Food was warm but edible, coffee made the day. I know things would be better with more staff. I"ll try again!
Mel — Google review
The place was not busy one waitress set you. She brought out the food and checked you out. The food selections were like mainland USA. Food was not over the top. We had breakfast, and it was brought out pretty quick.
B.J. G — Google review
Disappointing Decline in Service Standards This establishment has unfortunately seen a noticeable decline in quality. Upon arrival, there was no greeting or acknowledgment from the staff at the back, and the front desk waitress appeared more interested in chatting than attending to guests. Tables were left uncleared, and the menus handed to us were dirty, torn, and in poor condition—hardly acceptable for any dining experience. What once was a reliable and enjoyable spot now suffers from a clear lack of leadership and attention to customer service. The absence of basic hospitality and cleanliness reflects poorly on management. Sadly, this place can no longer be recommended as it once was. Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED!!

Located in a strip mall. Spacious and modern. Service was okay. Seated right away, not too busy on a Tuesday morning. We had the pot of PR coffee with warmed milk. Wife had the sampler, I, sausage and eggs. Good breakfast. Reasonable.
Alan H — Google review
The food was served quickly and hot. The portion was rather small for the price. It was not that busy, however the server was great it did take her a bit long to check on me. Overall an enjoyable breakfast on Easter Sunday.

Really good experience, server was very kind and fast. Went on a Sunday morning so the restaurant filled up quickly, but service was amazing at 8h am. Great taste, great portions, decent prices.
Lily L — Google review
Good food always, fast service, great atmosfere and awesome prices. UPDATE 5 YRS LATER: Literally you can d&d (wish I didn't) cause there was just one server dealing with 7 tables and she takes all her time in the kitchen, Slow service, overcook food, smaller portions and higher prices, Slow refills, She takes to long for even give the tickets and take the money, There were 2 other girl employees with excersice clothes in and out the restaurant ((when we came they were working but I guess their shift ended) bit they were with showie clothes (today thursday oct 27 2022) IN THIS COLOBOS RESTAURANT IHOP NEEDS MORE SERVERS, a person all the time on the front desk and I guess another cook and that be carefull with not overcook the menu. AND AN APPLE JUICE AT $4.60 is too much!!! And it was no refill, With that I can buy a 64 oz Motts. I will not go anymore unless someone tell me they change their act.

It was terrible. Everyone was rude. Our food was bad. They threw out our receipt, even though we wanted them they got are orders wrong. We tried ordering, took forever.

Be advised they do not follow the hours posted, and open in the morning at random times. The service us slow, the staff are unfriendly, and orders frequently have items missing. In my opinion this location is the is the worst fast food restaurant I have ever been to.
Taylor P — Google review
The food tastes ok but they have lower the portions of their burgers fillings (e.g. tomatoes, etc) A little disappointing. You can see the pic. A month ago in Arecibo's Wendy's the tomato was cut so thin, kind of a prosciutto ham thin. Ridiculous.
Carlos N — Google review
Wrong food, inexperienced cashier and the food is cold. Store dirty, worse Wendy's in the island
Jeffrey B — Google review
Incredibly awful service. While we were there, they took much longer than you’d expect from a fast food place. The three individuals in front of us all had their orders incorrect. Ours as well. And these were very simple two-three item orders. The stations were completely out of napkins and utensils as well.
Chris R — Google review
Very slow service. You have to be aware of what they serve you because they do not put the corresponding portions. There is not much empathy with the customer. Parking is impossible.
Luis Q — Google review
8 PM and they have only two tables not blocked off that people are allowed to sit at. Too bad there’s three different groups of customers. And no nothing was wrong with the rest of the lobby just blocked off and told I couldn’t sit there.

Medio Pocillo Cafe is a delightful eatery that offers a delectable variety of dishes, including mouthwatering omelettes. The skillful chefs are highly regarded for their ability to create exceptionally tasty omelettes, while the attentive staff provide top-notch service. The bread served at this establishment is simply divine, and the efficient service ensures a smooth dining experience. This cafe is frequented by both solo diners and couples looking for a relaxed brunch date.
Talk about a delicious omelette! I both respect and appreciate a chef's ability to craft a delicious omelette, and also respect great service when I I experience it. Bryan was a great server, and the chef cooked a phenomenal omelette. The bread was just wonderful, and the service was fast and smooth like the butter in my bread. Magnum Approved.
Juan G — Google review
The food was okay but nothing to come back for. I got the guava cheese waffle which was fine. It only came with a single waffle. In hindsight should have gone with the pancakes since the serving was so small. The vegetarian omelette was okay but didn’t have much flavor and most of the plate was just cheese and bread. The vegetarian wrap also left something to be desired and needed more filling. The sweet potato fries and coffee were both good. It was also just not worth the wait. We had to wait 35 minutes to be seated

I’ve been to this panadería at least ten times but only for coffee, right? And look, the coffee? Straight-up fire. Like, no cap, it's probably 2nd best I've had in PR. And the people working there? Next level friendly, for real. But, here's the thing, the food? It was a bit...charred, you know? Like, I'm not gonna lie, it was a little too crispy for my taste. Maybe it was just an off day, 'cause everyone else is saying it's bussin'. I'd still go back for that coffee though, and maybe give the food another shot

We paid 35 dollars for two scrambled eggs with cheese and ham with bread toasts, two glasses of orange juice, and two 8oz lattes. The scrambled eggs were dried and not up to the price paid. Small portions and half a slice of cheese on top of the eggs. The orange juice tasted natural, and the coffee was ok but not great. The waiter was very attentive, and we were served relatively fast. We considered ordering some waffles, but judging the ratio between the small portions and the high price, we held ourselves. It is a relatively small place and dark. Sadly, I won’t revisit them while cheaper and better quality options are nearby. We paid for a whole Pocillo experience but received what their name suggested: half Pocillo.

Their Mocha and Cappuccino were so yum .. and the way they present it with Nutella and Almonds is nice .. May be try to avoid Mocha as it might get so chocolaty with Nutella on top but apart from that nothing wrong with Mocha .. cozy ambiance and their omelette toast is good as well.. the waitress was so helpful and was patiently answering all our questions .. definitely recommend if you are in the area .. !

Food prices are great, perfect portions, flavors are outstanding, nice location indoors and outdoors and service was very good. Our server Loida was great. I highly recommend this spot.

Excellent service, great breakfast & artisan beers, mu 2nd time and love the place, very friendly atmosphere and staff. UPDATE: visited yesterday for breakfast I paid almost $25 for breakfast for 2, the same breakfast you can get elsewhere for half the price, these people are way too expensive breakfast. The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. UPDATE: Went here again today, now you get less food for your money. Last visit on 4th of July prices went upward: Service has changed, much better now. UPDATE 12-12-2023: Today the hamburger had a different bread without a note in the menu, tasted horrible, this place is no longer bringing a bang for the buck way more expensive than higher tier places, personally for me this place is BLACKLISTED.

Great Brunch menu, a little bit more pricey than your average Puerto Rican breakfast but you get your money's worth! The portions are huge and very tasty, they serve up classic brunch favorites. On weekends they have 2 for $10 mimosas with flavors such as passion fruit, orange, acerola, soursop and tamarind, and they can mix juices upon request, the server recommended me a parchola...passion fruit with acerola, so yummy! Their coffee was also super delicious, however if you usually go for stronger coffee be sure to ask for an extra shot or two of espresso. The wait on a Saturday around 11am was at least 30 minutes and be sure to let them know if you'd like to sit indoors or outdoors. I was served by Bryan, he was very nice and on point with our orders and everyone that passed was also very attentive of all the tables, overall great service.

I came here on Thursday morning with my boyfriend before my flight left from San Juan. He had seen all the good reviews and we decided to give it a shot! When we walked in, we noticed a woman sitting at a table on a laptop. She got up after we sat down and greeted us + took our order. She made my oat milk latte which was pretty good, and my bf got the coconut matcha (it was okay). She them came back for our food order after a few min. As a side note, I’m vegan and ordered the veggie empanadas to start as I wasn’t too hungry. I was deciding whether or not to order lunch so I asked how big the empanadas were, to which she replies, “well- they’re an appetizer”. Okay?? Doesn’t answer my question but whatever. On the menu it just says vegetables inside of empanadas, so I assume there’s nothing else inside. When I received them, they were warm and fresh however there was cheese inside (disappointing as I don’t eat cheese, so my boyfriend ate them instead). I ended up ordering the avocado toast without eggs and cheese & asked for roasted veggies instead. She told me that they didn’t have any (even though I saw it on the menu), and mentioned that there was spinach, tomato, onions & mushrooms that came with it already so I said that works fine with me. She then went behind the counter and quickly prepared our meal, as she had 2 people who came in waiting to meet with her it seemed. When I got my toast, the bread was toasted well and that’s about it. There was barely any avocado, absolutely NOTHING was seasoned (I’m talking about no salt, no pepper, NADA) and the mushrooms + onions were completely RAW? 💀 you’re not even supposed to eat raw mushrooms so I was just shocked. She also rushed through our food so she could sit down with a group of people (classmates?) and talk with them at the table right next to us. She was also the only person working. I didn’t feel comfortable walking up and interrupting whatever they were doing. At this point we have no time to order anything else as we need to get to the airport soon, but she didn’t check up to ask if we liked our food until I asked for a box to go. I figured I could put seasonings of my own on it back at our airbnb and make it somewhat salvageable given that I hate wasting food. For a coconut matcha, a vanilla latte, 2 empanadas, 2 waters, an avocado toast, & an egg wrap, the total came to $80. Insane considering my boyfriend’s food wasn’t even seasoned either and it was by far the worst meal of our trip. I’m not sure if these 5 star reviews are just paid reviews, friends, or just written in an alternate universe where the food is actually good- but there is no way I would ever come back to a place that charges an outrageous amount for the most basic food. The only decent thing about this place is their coffee. If you’re vegan, don’t bother trying to order or modify anything from this menu. You’ll be severely disappointed. Pictured is my flavorless, sad & raw toast.

Super cute coffee cafe!!! We just landed on the island late last night and decided to eat here for breakfast! The staff are super friendly and welcomed us to the island. Amazing place, delicious food and excellent service. I’m a cooker and picky foodie and I loved the food here, portions a pretty good and the ingredients are fresh. The person who served us was very kind by giving us food for my toddler a little faster than the rest and also a toy to distract her, I really appreciate it. Thank you for everything I hope back soon!

Café Serrano Inc. in Puerto Rico offers an exceptional breakfast experience with perfectly cooked Eggs Florentine and a fantastic Strawberry Cheesecake French toast that is crispy, crunchy, and fruity. Their avocado toast and chicken and waffles are also delicious. The restaurant has a chic, industrial decor with great vibes. They offer fresh and cold Papaya juice that brings back memories of time spent on the islands. Café Serrano Inc.
Enjoying a meal while observing the coffee roasting and packaging process added a unique and engaging touch to the dining experience. The food was well-prepared and flavorful. I ordered the waffle plate, which was generously portioned—so much so that I couldn't finish it. I highly recommend trying the orange juice; it was exceptionally fresh, delightfully sweet, and clearly homemade, adding a refreshing complement to the meal.
Jennifer — Google review
The place? Beautiful! The food? We ordered the guava toast (not at all like the picture, also very dry) Also ordered the waffle sandwich. The chicken had no flavor and the waffles did not either. Lemonade? Horrible sadly. Its fake lemonade with a bit of real lemon so it looks like a real lemonade. Service? We got served the wrong sandwich which can happen… but also I ordered a juice that I never received. They also have a orange juice maker, which does not work. The atmosphere was amazing and the hot cocoa was amazing too, sadly the food did not have any flavor and it was dry. I am a big foodie, and it rarely happens that I go to a restaurant and never take whatever is left on my plate, but sadly, this was one of those places that I would not even take the food home. I recommend this place for an atmosphere. That is wonderful and having a coffee and a chat, but not to eat or have a brunch.

Every time I visit family and friends in Puerto Rico, I make sure to stop here. Today, October 4, 2025, we went for brunch and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent—our waiter, Enrique, was outstanding, and a lady who kindly helped us at the beginning was also very attentive (I forgot to ask her name, unfortunately). The coffee was great, and the espresso martini I ordered added a perfect touch. Thank you, and God bless!

Came here as a lesbian tourist with my wife and our 4 year old. The service was wonderful, the staff were professional and knowledgeable and so welcoming. They roast the beans in house, the coffee is delicious and the food is too. Definitely worth going to!

My wife and I visited Puerto Rico with another couple and before going to the airport we found Cafe Serrano. Such a high quality cafe that roasts their own coffee beans, some grown in Puerto Rico. We watched their staff roasting beans. We didn't have time to order the chicken and waffles but will the next trip to PR. We did order some espresso and I had a cold chocolate latte with real whipped cream on top, dusted with cinnamon I believe. Delicious. We obtained a bag of their house blend. It is a wonderful light to medium roast that makes a very taste espresso. Mucho gracias Haolis Hguilar for the 8oz of beans. Here's are some pictures of their operation and pics of my home espresso machine and a latte made with their beans. I promised Haolis Hguilar I would send some of my Steve's Bees Honey for him and his staff. It is on the way.

Visited Al Fresco Bistro Cafe for a speedy morning meal. The cuisine was delectable, and the java equally delightful. Although the service lacked a touch of finesse, the overall encounter was pleasant. I suggest trying this establishment, bearing in mind that there may be some waiting involved due to food preparation. The fare at this eatery is exceptional, and the ambiance is truly remarkable.

I love this place, every time we come to Puerto Rico we come here. The food is always delicious and service is spectacular. I will say I don’t love the pancakes, I’ve had the churro and the Oreo ones, they were both “meh”, but overall delicious food.
