The food was all pretty good! I especially liked their crispy pork belly and the pork satay—the charred edges made it super crispy and juicy. On a warm but cloudy day, a glass of mint lemon tea hit just right. We were lucky to get a seat without waiting, and the food came out pretty fast. The space wasn’t crowded at all. Highly recommend their Bebek Betutu and crispy pork belly too! 😋

We have been recommended this place and got not disappointed. Getting seated on the lower levels gives you nice views into the green. As they were only few people only level 1 was open. The service was very kind and attentive. The food was really good and we felt that prices were more than fair. Enjoyed our stay at the oldest restaurant of Ubud and would recommend it.

In fact, I chose to have my final meal in Ubud and Bali, at Murni’s, which says everything about how much I enjoyed it. The food is easily some of the tastiest I had during my time in Bali. Each dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and prepared with care. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high quality. The staff are attentive and genuinely welcoming, making the whole dining experience relaxed and enjoyable. The location is peaceful, tucked beside the river, offering a calm and scenic escape from the busier parts of town. Even the facilities are spotless; a small but meaningful detail that speaks to the care taken in every aspect of the restaurant. As the very first restaurant in Ubud, Murni’s Warung more than lives up to its legacy. It deserves every bit of recognition it gets and then some. Really nice warung by the ridge. We had some beef rendang and duck these both came with rice. The juices were nice but were a bit too pulpy for me I had to ask the staff to strain one of these because I kept coughing with every sip. Overall though their food tasted amazing and the prices are fair also the view from the restaurant was beautiful. 🤩 The staff are helpful prompt and we really enjoyed our time at murni’s. We weren’t expecting much from the chocolate cake btw but it tasted nice and homemade in a good way and they spiked it with some rum which was nice 👌 I would come back to this place!

My husband and I have been in Bali for five days, and this is the first time we’ve felt inspired to sit down and write a review. The freshness of the ingredients here is outstanding! the spices are incredibly flavorful, and the traditional Balinese food was simply amazing. We shared three main dishes, and every single one was excellent. If you’re looking for an authentic local gastronomical experience, this place is a must!

Apparently, the first restaurant in Ubud. Amazing location on three levels and certainly the Indonesian food on the menu was excellent. I recommend the duck or the chicken. Wine by the glass choice was very limited. The waitresses seemed a bit tired and less friendly than most Balinese restaurants. But still worth a visit!

Visited closed to 8pm and there’s no crowd, a unique multi storey restaurant with different view due to the way it was built, unfortunately I went after sunset and miss the nice view. The food is nice and traditional, especially the sate that most of us enjoyed. It will sure be the restaurant that I will visit when I’m back to Ubud the next time, to try their other dishes.

What a great restaurant tucked away from the craziness of the high street in Ubud! High quality food and drinks, served with great attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. We sat at the bar which was great and the bartenders really looked after us 🍸 Don’t skip the lobster dumplings. Probably one of the best I ever had, really appreciated the generous ratio of lobster 🦞 The beef rendang was 🤌🏼 and I really enjoyed my grilled baby chicken. An explosion of flavour in all dishes, without being too spicy.

It’s certainly not the cheapest restaurant in Ubud, but absolutely worth it. The staff were wonderfully welcoming and warm. We tried the crispy chicken and pork batagor dumpling, the slow-cooked beef rendang, and the Acehnese chicken korma, all of which were utterly delicious. We wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Hujan Locale is amazing. The venue is gorgeous and stepping in feels like you’re stepping into another era. The staff are professional and nice - delivering service with a smile. The food is fantastic - each meal providing a different range of flavours and textures. Each dish tastier than the next. Overall we have a GREAT experience and will return. It was on the pricier end of the spectrum but worth every cent - a nice treat!

We were recommended this place and it certainly did not disappoint! We came without a booking but were able to sit downstairs in the bar area and order all the food. The cocktails were great and the food was amazing. Some really interesting and unique flavours all round with too many dishes to recommend! Wish we had come another night to try some more.

In our 2 stay last year and this year, this was the best restaurant we've found in Ubud and Bali in general. Welcoming staff. 🙏 Can be a bit pricey but not overpriced like other places where the food isn't good by the way. Here you'll have great food (at least if you try our recommandations).. 👍 Special mention for the beef rendang, the scallop (starter) and the dessert mango 🥭- coco 🥥 in granite style. Disappointed by the tuna (starter) though, which was lacking a bit of taste and some 'peps' . wish the tuna had come with a sauce similar to the one that came with the scallop... Also, people complaining in the comments are just people without any taste who enjoy Coca, Fries 🍟, and Burgers 🍔/ pizza 🍕 🤦

This was an exquisite experience. The team were all delightful and we enjoyed seeing the plants they grow on site and the recycling initiatives before settling down to the first tasting area. The thought that has gone into each of the tiny and beautiful morsels is amazing - local ingredients with unusual combinations of flavours and each dish explained by one of the members of the team. The evening progresses through three zones of the restaurant each with their unique atmosphere for each phase of the tasting menu.

This was a luxurious dessert experience. So refined, memorable and far exceeding expectations. You wouldn't expect it from the name, but the service and presentation felt world class. Absolutely worth the price per person. The beverage pairings were thoughtful and creative, sometimes unexpected but always harmonious with the flavours. Each course was beautifully presented and expertly crafted. A word of advice: arrive hungry! The portions are generous and surprisingly filling. We couldn’t finish everything on the spot, but the team kindly packed up the rest and we got to enjoy it again the next day. 10/10.

Truly amazing experience, the wine pairing is a must! Highlights for me were the most amazing tuna (pic 2) not normally a fan of “raw” fish but really wow, so tasty! The black sesame ice cream dessert hit some sweet and savoury notes that gives Asian crème brûlée vibes (pic5), unbelievable. The duck taco also (pic1). Could have eaten 10. A must try if you visit Ubud. We also got a ticket to return for free snacks at the powder room next door, very bohemian vibes with records playing and awesome coffee.

I came to R4D by myself and it was such a nice experience from the very first moment I got greeted. Rhys and the rest of the team were so welcoming, you can really see how much training they have done because everything felt so smooth. From the garden to the entrance, every little detail was thought through. I started with the spiritless tasting menu and it was nothing short of amazing. You could tell how much the team, from the bartenders to the cooks to the servers, really loved what they were doing. Everyone was so knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the experience they were creating. The hospitality was on such a high level. This was such a great evening. We didn’t quite know what to expect… 15 courses… how were we going to eat all that?? But it was such a great experience. Eating in 3 different locations created this unique dining experience and the chef is seriously talented in creating all those courses, yes dessert heavy, although savory was just enough and really really good! If you are looking for that foodie experience this restaurant is definitely a must!

Ibu Susu in Ubud is an absolute must-visit! The food here is just incredible, bursting with flavour and beautifully presented—every dish we tried left us wanting more. Their cocktails are honestly the best in town (you have to try them all!), and the bar team really knows how to impress. The staff make every meal a delight with their next-level friendliness and warm hospitality. On both of my trips to Ubud, I found myself coming back to Ibu Susu at least four times each visit—that’s how good it is! I’m already looking forward to my next trip back. My absolute favourite is the Snapper Ceviche, which I still crave every day. Can’t recommend this place highly enough!

This is by far one of my favourite places in Ubud! If you're looking for delicious food, the perfect hand crafted cocktails, great atmosphere, topped off with fantastic service, look no further! I am still working my way through their menu, but so far have absolutely loved the chicken wings, steamed buns and dim sum, the red snapper carpaccio is unreal! We had the duck pancakes and the beef randang which were so yummy!!! The pandan crepe and chocolate brulé are the perfect desserts! Ketut and his super team of bartenders and mixologists bring out new flavour combinations with their monthly cocktail specials, plus a great happy hour makes it so easy to keep coming back!! While the food and cocktails at IBU SUSU are phenomenal (bartender Agung made me personalized drinks I'm still craving!), it's the staff that truly makes this place exceptional. Indra was our guardian angel for the evening. He greeted us, helped with parking, and provided impeccable, warm service all night. Sambo and Srik were also wonderful. We were amazed that every single team member, from the waiters to the bartenders, had complete and total knowledge of the entire menu. Their expertise is astounding. A final note on the owner, Ketut—he was so involved we didn't even realize he was the owner until the end! That hands-on approach reflects in the incredible service culture here.

I love Ibu Susu. Laid back, great decor and lovely food. You won’t find a better selection of cocktails in Ubud. And I genuinely think the chocolate crème brûlée is one of the best desserts I’ve had - ever (and I’ve eaten in lots of great places around the world!). The staff are very attentive and the food is really tasty. Clearly a place that has had a lot of thought and love poured into it. As Ubud becomes increasingly commercialised, its lovely to see a place that still has an indie vibe!

Beautiful cafe with amazing aesthetics in ubud. We arrived early as we were waiting for our driver to reach. Had a quick coffee and turmeric drink with croissant. Everything was great quality . Staff were friendly and we would like to visit again.

Fantastic menu, compliments to the chef- everything we’ve had has been delicious. We work around the corner and Lazy Cats has now became a regular lunch spot , despite not being vegetarians. Have tried 6/7 dishes now and each one has been great. Well priced and great price for a bintang. Playlists always hit. Happy customer :)

It’s a small, very nicely appointed, two level dining room, right on MFR. We sat upstairs, which was a little quieter. We grazed on oysters, king prawns, octopus carpaccio, burrata cheese and barramundi. The highlights were the octopus and the king prawns, the least interesting were the oysters. The romesco sauce was a little overpowering. We had a bottle of wine which they kept chilled in a wine bucket, so didn’t try any of their cocktails. Service was very attentive and friendly, and I would consider the value as excellent.

Delicious food at PASIR last night, came here after seeing the menu that reminded me of great food I’d eaten in Israel, hoping for the same kind of tastes and quality and I was not disappointed! Two of us had two small plates, two from the garden plates and one pain and it was a huge amount of food! Each dish was delicious but I especially liked the hummus with crispy chickpeas, and the roast baby potato dish. Cocktails were equally yummy. Only slight downside was that we were taken upstairs as we had booked and there was no one else up there! So atmosphere a bit lacking, would have been better to sit downstairs where it was busier

The interior boasts a bright and airy ambiance, cleverly maximizing the space, and thoughtfully utilizes natural materials throughout the décor. FOOD: The menu, while concise, hints at a Mediterranean influence with a notable emphasis on seafood. It's divided neatly into sections featuring appetizers, main courses, and delectable desserts. Eager to sample a variety of offerings, we opted to focus on the appetizer selection. We began with the pasta, featuring prawns and a bisque. The pasta itself possessed a pleasingly smooth and delicate texture, cooked to the very edge of being overdone - although I confess, I generally prefer a more pronounced "al dente" bite. The sauce, however, was a triumph. A rich and intense prawn and seafood flavor permeated every strand, leaning towards a subtle creaminess rather than a dominant tomato base, and demonstrating a masterful balance of flavors. Next came the baked oysters, presented with a duo of intriguing sauces. We were particularly impressed by the consistency and structure of this dish. The oysters were tender, thoroughly infused with the flavors of the sauce, and blessedly free of any excess moisture - a true testament to the chef's expertise. Service was impeccable as always - each dish was explained carefully to us. However 4/5 dishes we ordered were disappointing despite so many raving reviews! We were looking forward to this meal but it was definitely a let down - of no fault to the servers so we told them it was great regardless. The only dish we enjoyed were the Lombok Scallops. Grilled Octopus was overcooked and chewy and very bland. Lacked any sort of flavor whatsoever and the same with the Beef Cheek.. Octopus Carpaccio wasn’t horrible but wasn’t anything special either and the same with the Prawn Bisque Tagliatelle. Didn’t live up to the hype for us unfortunately.

Spaghetti surprisingly good and grilled octopus was tender and had good sauce. Coconut panna cotta could have done with more sugar caramelisation at top though. Overall- worth it

Our favorite bar in Ubud. Head down the nearby alleyway and it’s upstairs. The food is really good and the drinks even better. If you can get the table up against the windows facing the street you should as it is great people watching. Oftentimes there is a live band so this table also puts you on the backside of the speakers so you won’t go deaf. Service was attentive. Bathroom is back downstairs. They also give out free homemade potato chips that were delicious.

I recently had an incredible evening at No Mas Bar, where the music and entertainment truly stole the show! Oh my gosh, the Spanish music was absolutely incredible! The atmosphere was so warm, friendly, and family-friendly. The band even asked where everyone was from and tried to sing a song that was close to their culture. It was so thoughtful! And the food was absolutely delicious! It was so tasty and made me feel like I was back in time. The decor was also really cool, with a vibe that felt like the early 90s. It took me right back to my childhood!

The best wine bar in Bali! As big wine drinkers at home we can be rather fussy with our wines, but every single wine we had at Belle was fantastic. We tried the wine tasting for both the red and white, all which are paired with a cheese or sweet. During our week stay in Ubud we came here 5 out of the 7 nights. Our waitress Nadya was excellent, she was attentive and lovely, she even gave us recommendations of restaurants in Ubud and in Sanur (our next destination). Belle Wine Bar – Ubud A small, cozy spot that surprised us with amazing wine and cheese pairings. We tried the wine tasting flight, which came with different cheeses, and it was a really fun way to explore their selection. We also ordered a few crostini — the foie gras and the burrata were our favourites, both delicious and beautifully done. Add in some cold cuts and the whole experience felt just right. Simple, intimate, and definitely worth a visit if you love good wine and small bites.

I had the best experience here. The staff, food, and aesthetics were impeccable. Truly! Me and the waitresses were best friends after j left ;) the food was lovely. Good portions, very fresh cheese, meats, fruits, etc. thank youuuu for an amazing experience.

Lovely little wine bar on one of the main streets in Ubud. It was quiet when we when in, but service was lovely and the wine nice and chilled. We got lucky as they just released their new toastie menu so happily spilt one for research purposes 😍

What an absolutely fabulous experience! The food was amazing, the atmosphere intimate and inviting. We had a tasty selection of assorted crostinis along with a delicious charcuterie board! Great selection of wines as well. We will definitely be back, our favourite place in Ubud hands down.

The sushi was fresh and tasty, and the hot rolls were really good too. I liked the food a lot, even if the street outside was busy and a bit noisy. Overall, it was still a nice stop worth trying.

We had a pleasant dinner at Kyoka. The food was overall very nice. There are variaties of drinks. Staff were friendly and efficient. They did act very quickly helping each tables.

We had an excellent evening with a very delicious meal and very kind and friendly staff. The manager was so welcoming and fun to talk to, always checking if we're enjoying our meal or need anything. The waiters and bar men were very efficient and friendly even though the restaurant was overbooked and very busy. I strongly recommend this culinary address. For Muslim clients, it has many vegetarian and pescetarien options and you can even enjoy moctails (nonalcoholic cocktails). My advice is to make reservation if you want to get a table, we didn't and we found out on arrival that all tables are booked, they nonetheless proposed to serve us in the bar area, and honestly it was more confortable and pleasant than I thought it would be. Again very beautiful experience and excellent food and service. Thank you so much Kyoka!

An extremely pleasurable dining experience with fantastic cocktails. Had the tuna sashimi, was slightly skeptical when ordering. It came out on ice and was cold and fresh, tuna rolls were delicious and edamame was great to. Can not find a fault here. Thanks for a nice time!

We had the pork gyoza, chicken avo & cucumber sushi, and the pork ramen and it was all very delicious. Best ramen i’ve ever had, broth was amazing and full of many flavours. Definitely recommend and will be back!

If you know me then you will know on my travels I seek out relentlessly thr best Japanese restaurants, and ONLY review the winner for each location. Great start walking in to Saint Germaine playing, music sets a lounge scene. The menu boasts Japanese Gin, Whisky, Sake, and ofcourse the cocktails. Not eating here before, I went and over ordered, I regret nothing. It was all delicious!

There are so many vegetarian and vegan-friendly restaurants in Ubud and us carnivors were a bit sceptical of Dumbo on first glance. But we decided to give it a go and did not regret our decision. Put simply, the pizza and pasta are phenomenal. We were all gushing over how good our individual dishes were and revelled in sharing them around so that everyone could have a taste. The interior of the venue is also beautifully designed and we were lucky enough to be seated at the enormous table reserved for larger groups, which felt like we had our own private dining area. A friendly visit from the Australian owner and a complimentary round of limoncello completed what was a very memorable experience.

Everything here is amazing! All the staff is so friendly, Mbok Juli always serves us with a heart-warming smile. Even the owner, Mr. Jonathan and Mrs. Monica, and Ms. Eve, the manager also welcomed us warmly. The view and atmosphere on the upstairs is very calming and majestic. Even though this place is in Ubud, it is far from the hustle and bustle. The food here is very delicious. The vegetarian fettuccine is so creamy and tasty, I really recommend to try it, also the strawberry lemonade is very refreshing. And don't forget to order the tiramisu that has a very, very authentic taste! Highly recommend this place to have dinner or hang out!!

The setting is very comfortable and the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff are super friendly too! We were welcomed with some complementary finger foods and seated at a lovely open window. There are two downsides. It's very popular, so you might need to book or wait in a line if you're going at a peak time. Also, their menu is quite limited with choices. The food they do have is scrumptious - unquestionably top 3 with respect to pizzas in Ubud but not the most friendly on the pocket.

Hidden gem on busy street just north of Ubud. 5-7pm Happy hour 2 for 1 cocktails or wine - great value. The tempura vegetables entree and “Pinocchio” wood fired pizza (caramelised leek, candied lemon, bocconcini & feta - amazing combination!) were excellent.

Dumbo is a vegetarian restaurant and bar that serves Italian style food and pizzas from an amazing wood fired oven. Prices reflect the quality of the food. The decor and ambiance are amazing. The downstairs bar is decorated with records. The upstairs restaurant has brick and wood features, a disco ball style light, graffiti style paintings on the wall. Seating was comfortable. The restaurant played retro tunes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pizza oven fires up at 5pm. I will try the pizza on my next visit.

Such great pizza, cocktails and tiramisu. This is some of the best pizza I have had in the world, fresh and well thought out ingredients with such well cooked wood fired bases. Candied lemon on a pizza- who would have thought! Highly recommend and hope to be back again on another trip to Ubud.

First time going here for me even though I live nearby. I’ll definitely be back! Cool space with a good vibe. Interesting menu with old favourites and more creative offerings. My burrata plate was excellent - loved the relishes - and my partner enjoyed his pizza. Listen.. if there’s a such thing as designer food this spot would be considered a high end luxury brand. The Indo Fried Rice was exquisite. My only complaint is that I didn’t have more on my plate. The sunset smoothie tasted as incredible as it looked. I was shocked. Perfect proportions within the glass. Definitely coming back. Regrettable the wait staff tested my patience a bit but satisfied my needs before I just picked up and left. I’m really being dramatic. I found this place intuitively and I’m grateful my heart can sense love. The food was filled with it. Chef’s Kiss!!

Delicious food and great service. Wi-Fi available. This is adjacent to Outpost and also delivered food to my room. Also had the chance to attend a live music event and absolutely loved the musician’s performance. Hung out here a few time and stayed a few hours!

Food was just outstanding. For appetizer I recommend the ceviche, it's so refreshing, and for main dish the lamb shank. I like the fusion concept, but I dont really agree with the combination of peyek and lamb. As for desert, the lemon tart.

Really enjoyed eating here. The atmosphere was super nice, the staff were friendly, and the vegan dishes were delicious! We enjoyed the sushi and the tacos. The only thing we didn’t like so much was the tempura, it was too oily and didn’t have much taste compared to other tempura I’ve had. But the rest was great!

Amazing atmosphere and vibe here, lighting and colours are impeccable. Banana coconut pancakes and the disco curly fries are delicious, and service is top notch. All the staff are amazing and great to have a chat to!! We came on a Friday night with incredible live music, very cool vibe and perfect venue for it. You need to eat here. When I get home from my trip I'm going to do everything in my power to replicate the Red Brick Chicken Sandwich, it's that good. I went there two days in a row to get it. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly. The drinks are delicious, and the food is to die for. We'll definitely stop on our next trip to Bali.

Great spot along the main drag of town. We’ve been here a couple of times; once for lunch and once in the evening for drinks and live music. The lunch was good and service prompt. At night the vibe completely changes and we really enjoyed the live music and drinks. The service was top notch and we never waited for a drink even though the place became packed. The servers are very aware of when you need something and are excellent at anticipating everything. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Awesome garden bar with amazing service! We came yesterday to was the epic rugby game between NZ and SA and they set up w whole area with commentary for us. The service here was excellent, super friendly and attentive and some tasty local beer on tap. Calamari and hot chips were nice beers snacks and the ABs won yew! 🏉

While pub hopping in Ubud, our second stop was The Blue Door. The place has a great vibe, especially for music lovers. They’ve got two sections — a restaurant area with live bands, and a club that really comes alive after 11–11:30 PM. We reached around 11 and sat in the restaurant section for a bit. Ordered beers and nachos — though honestly, the menu felt pricey and the nachos were pretty average. By the time we arrived, live music was almost wrapping up. About half an hour later, we moved to the club. Entry was free, but getting a table required a minimum spend, which didn’t feel worth it, so we just hit the dance floor instead. Do note: the restaurant and club have separate pricing and separate billing, with the club side being more expensive. That said, we ended up having a good time. Grabbed some beers inside the club and danced for the next two hours. There were even two dance performers adding to the energy. The space isn’t huge — compact and pretty packed — but it definitely delivers if you’re chasing party vibes in Ubud. Tax & service charge pretty high.

Absolutely amazing service!! The food was amazing and all staff were so accommodating and lovely. We will definitely be returning!! Also.. the steaks were cooked to perfection and was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! Definitely worth the money!! There was a live singer who was wonderful, came over to the tables etc. They made a fuss as we were celebrating a birthday. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Ubud, Bali!!

After a month away from Bali, the first thing I did was come back to The Blue Door for their Sunday Roast. It was just as incredible as I remembered—tender meat, perfect vegetables, and gravy that's pure comfort. What made it even better was the staff's genuine warmth and the fact that they remembered me. It felt like coming home. The best Sunday Roast on the island, hands down.

I ate here nearly every day! No matter what dish you choose, it’s always amazing. The service is excellent—even on busy nights—and the team is incredibly accommodating. They stay open super late, are extremely accommodating, and every experience here has been a pleasure. Truly no complaints!

Fun place to have a drink. It was extremely busy, but we didn’t have to wait long for a table at all! The drinks were nice. Sports were on, which was fun to be able to watch. There was a live band playing, they were insanely good. Only downside was that with the amount of people and the live music it was quite loud and it was difficult to talk to one another.

I had a great time at CP Lounge tonight! The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, with a nice mix of music and a friendly crowd. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, and the drinks came quickly and tasted great. I especially enjoyed the spacious setup with pool tables—it makes the place feel more social and fun compared to a regular bar. Definitely a good spot to hang out in Ubud if you’re looking for music, drinks, and a chilled vibe. Highly recommended!

Good fun in here, listening to live music and a skin full of tequila, tourist trap and not cheap. It's gotta be some though sometimes 🕺🏾💃🏾 it was not bot loud and you could still have a nice conversation whilst enjoying music.

Fun place to hang out in Ubud! We went around 8 PM and it was quiet with a dance show, but by 10 PM live music started and later around midnight the DJ played. The vibe was young, energetic, and really enjoyable. We only ordered edamame for food, while my friends had cocktails. I tried the tiramisu with vanilla ice cream and pistachio ice cream – both were absolutely delicious. Not an ultra “wow” place, but definitely a good spot with great music and atmosphere! The best lounge in Ubud in my opinion. I stopped by several bars around until finally I came to this CP Lounge, it's the best. Almost 100% of the visitors are foreign tourists, the place is spacious, there are 3 billiard tables and a swimming pool. live music until 12 at night, followed by a DJ performance in the room. The choice of drinks and food is quite large. Will definitely come here again when staying in Ubud.

I had stayed in Ubud for three nights and on all three nights I visited this bar for night party. My overall experience was great and memorable. It was just 15 min walk from my stay. It stays open till 4am though the live music stops by 11:30pm but they have a dance floor inside the building on ground floor where the party music and DJ continues till 4am. I enjoyed both live music (open air) & DJ (inside the building). The food was ok but I went there only for music & dance. I would highly recommend this place in case someone is looking for good & entertaining late night life. I will surely visit again.

It was super quiet and we nearly didn’t go but so glad we did. The food was delish! we got the dips (the herbed was divine), halloumi (kinda basic but still nice) and the eggplant (soooo good) They have great wines as well which is kinda harder in Bali. The service is a bit slow is the only thing but I guess not rushed? Would definitely recommend for a girl dinner or date 😁

There is no flaw in Bacari. Undeniably the most cool & chic place in Ubud. Exceptional wines and especially unique cocktails, that make you question the pop beverages that you so much enjoy on a regular. Out of small plates, chicken liver pate is my most favorite, sourdough and buratta thingy is as well great. The whole menu is well thought of and there are options for any preference. Ambiance is sexy, dimmed and the music fits the venue perfectly. No cringy tracks. Great for those who are looking for a spot for a first date or a stylish girl get–together. The most important thing about this place, is from the moment you enter it, you know it was created by someone with deep knowledge and passion. Almost.. obsession ? P.S. Great painting, would steal.

Cocktails, service and food here was all excellent👌🏻we came in for a drink and left after trying 3 each 😂 not the cheapest but worth the experience. The beef kofta was yummy and they had some awesome sandwiches on the menu that we will have to come back and try.

This shop is worth better scores on Google! I have tried quite a few cocktail bar in so called Asia top 50 and this is the best! This menu and drinks are so dedicatedly thoughtfully crafted and offerred!

We were brought here for cocktails by a couple we met by chance. Walking in felt like we'd walked through a secret door. The interior was cozy and slightly dark. We sat at the bar. Their cocktail menu is quite eye-catching; each cocktail has a story. We were blown away! We tried a passion fruit cocktail and loved it! The ice cubes were safe. Unfortunately, we only had the chance to visit once, but it was a flavor that stayed with us and our palate in Bali.

If you're looking for a relaxing night with a great atmosphere and cocktails in Ubud, I highly recommend this bar. It's not too quiet, not too busy. If this is the best club in Ubud I’m quite disappointed. Our experience was not so good. The DJ in Boliche opened his set and blasted the volume literally 3 times too loud as what was needed cause the club was still empty. I couldn’t believe nobody of the staff said anything. We were enjoying a cocktail and a conversation but that stopped instantly. I was especially shocked when the owner came in and was just cheering at the DJ instead of telling him to lower the volume a bit. I am myself an ex club owner and organized hundreds of events and can tell you that this was unprofessional. I read about the noise issue in the area and I can see why. And it isn’t actually needed to add much volume cause the place is tiny. I also think the cocktails are a bit pricy for the quality and quantity you get. And I really don't like it when staff puts you in the worst place of the venue (this is about Cantina, which is basically the same venue as Boliche) without asking where you wanna sit, while all tables are reserved but totally empty the whole evening. Overall this is not an underground venue but a commercial venue with not the welcoming vibe I would expect from one of the best clubs (the only club?) in Ubud. Final remark about the bar guy in the club: he was awesome and chill. That’s my only plus so far of this place.

It's taken me some time to think about this writing this review but I think it's important that I share for the safety of women travelers. I visited this bar for the 1st time while visiting Bali on April 11, 2025. I had wanted to go to this bar because they were advertising on Instagram that they had open decks for DJs. I clarified before I left the USA that I was interested and whomever was on their account said yes to bring my things and they would be having open decks. Come to find out tourists aren't even allowed to DJ without a permit and I didn't find that out until I was in Bali after clarifying with several people numerous times and lugging some of my valuable DJ equipment all over the island. Despite that - the vibes of this bar are boring. It was basically empty and that's when I met Dewa. He seemed like a nice local and was telling me he did private tours of Ubud on the side for a low price. He would drive me to numerous places. I had heard that was a thing from other tourists so I decided it was OK and safe. The next day he picked me up and we went to several touristy spots. I caught him taking photos of me with his own phone several times but I never confronted him. After our tour was over he dropped me off at my hostel. Things seemed fine as friends even though I felt like he was attracted to me (he's married with children btw). Later that night a couple of girls wanted to go out and I recommended going back to this bar because they supposedly had house music. We get there and dead again. We were basically the only people there and the music was horrible. One of the girls was upset saying this guy didn't know how to DJ and he should just be playing in his bedroom with his boring music. Dewa was there and staring at me the entire time. Another woman even noticed and said we should leave which we did and it wasn't even midnight yet. What a waste of a Saturday night. The next day on Sunday April 13 Dewa said he'd take me to the airport. I thought he was my friend so I agreed and for a price comparable to a taxi. I WISH I WOULD'VE SAID NO. After him picking me up on the way to the airport he parked on the side of the road and said he wanted me to sit in the front with him. I told him I needed to organize my things because my bag was messy and I had a long flight. That's when he reached back and put his arms around me and then kissed me on my neck. I froze out of fear. I told him please drive I don't want to be late to my plane flight. On the way there I caught him again taking photos of me while he was driving. I am mad at myself because at that point I should've just gotten out of the car but I had suitcases and had trusted this man. LADIES- DO NOT AGREE TO GET IN VEHICLES WITH LOCAL MEN THAT ARE NOT VOUCHED FOR. I cried about this incident and tried to not let it ruin my entire Bali trip, but I'm still trying to process the whole ordeal as I was obviously SA'ed. I would've never met this man Dewa if I never went to Boliche where he is a server and obviously using it as a place to meet tourists. Bar is not worth visiting. Music was bad two nights in a row, drinks over-priced, barely any patrons, and servers being predatory to female tourists. I don't know how this place has decent reviews on Google, but this was my experience. I do not recommend. Pic of Dewa after I confronted him through What's App saying I didn't like how he touched me and kissed me in the car. He said he felt sick and sent me a pic of himself. Glad I could share on the internet so other women know to stay away from him.

By far the best speakeasy in Ubud that has the perfect balance of chill out space and dancefloor vibes. Great cocktails, cute venue and mixed crowd so that no matter where you’re from or how old you are, you are guaranteed a great time!

We went there for a drink in the evening. The cocktails were in 2x1, so we ordered a Gin and tonic. I don't know if this is the norm in Bali, but instead of bringing a drink, then the second one when you are finished, they brought both at the same time. We had 4 drinks between the two of us, which is weird. The cocktails were served in wine glasses instead of gin ones (so much much smaller than regular gin glasses), and only half full. We managed to pour one glass into the other and still not fill the wine glass. So instead of actually getting a 2x1 drink, it feels more like you get a drink served in two glasses. The drinks were good but it took forever to arrive, even though the place was not crowded. The view is nice and I might come just for that, but I would definitely skip the cocktail and just get a beer or something.

The strongest and most delicious cocktails I've yet to find in Ubud. Great music and lovely staff.

Donna was truly an amazing dining experience for us. The dishes were delectable, cocktails & coffee were palatable and hospitality was incredible. We were warmly welcomed and treated by the staff. I believe the manager on duty (her name slipped my mind but we managed to take a picture together) attentively checked up on us. She even introduced us to Donna’s sister company, Ivy Cafe (which didn’t fail to impress us as well). Heads up, make a reservation at least one day before

My wife has a severe peanut allergy and this is the first place in Bali that catered for it and cared. The food was also absolutely phenomenal. I’m not even joking. Each dish was instagrammable and the taste was second to none. The service is worthy of Michelin star. Well done to all the staff that work there. It’s an amazing place and I can’t wait to come back before we leave. The drinks were sensational too. Honestly I can’t rate this place highly enough. Thank you once again for an amazing meal. My wife will talk about this his for decades, and so will I. If you’re in Ubud you MUST have a meal here.

What an amazing experience…. Food a 10, drinks a 10, Agus our waiter…. A 100… would highly recommend having dinner here. We will be back! The best we’ve had in Bali hands down, and top 10 in our time. Loved it!

Excellent tasting and well presented food at a reasonable price. I would personally recommend the Tasmanian Salmon and definitely the Donna dessert. Table next to us were celebrating a birthday and the other side came to celebrate their last night in Bali. It is a special venue. Be sure to book in advance as it os very popular and we could not get a table when we tried to book the first time.

Had good dinner but the weather was so hot and humitted so hard to forcus on food. I had vegetarian menu and it was very nice but for me, it was little bit oily( grilled vegetables ). When you are bit tired of Balinese food, here is good to try. in Bali it is so hard to find the place under the air conditioner, and need to worry about mosquitoes all the time can not pay attention to food :(

Thank you Gede for such an exceptional experience! From the welcoming until the end. Food was superb TOP NOTCH! We had the seafood paella and the croquettes. Full of flavor but so well balanced flavors. We finished with the cream brûlée and tiramisu. We were in heaven! Later on we went upstairs for some Shisha. Bold flavors with light clouds of smoke. The place has a beautiful vibe. The atmosphere, the music and the attentiveness of the staff. Thank you and we will definitely revisit.

TLDR: Good service, comfortable atmosphere, great drinks, food was okay for meat eaters, but disappointing if you are veggie/gf We came here for dinner tonight and had a mixed experience. I’ll start with the positive, the service: as you’d expect in Bali it was warm, friendly and very attentive. The space itself was clean, comfortable and well looked after too. The drinks we had were excellent as well, and the 2-4-1 happy hour is great value. The food was a mixed bag and didn’t blow us away. My partner is vegetarian and gluten free, and she ordered the roasted beetroot for her main. When the plate arrived it was quite bare - 90% beetroot with a few greens and cubes of cheese doused in vinegar. There wasn’t anything else to it like a filling base of mash/rice/greens to justify listing this as a “main” in the menu - maybe this one’s on us for not looking at the menu detailedly enough, but if something is listed as a main I expect it to be more filling. As a side or starter, it would’ve been okay. I had the ribs which were very flavourful, but laid on top of a papaya salad which had too much vinegar for my liking. The tres leches for dessert was good. Again, top stars to the staff for noticing my partner wasn’t wild on the beetroot and offering to remove it from the bill. The surprise amouse bouches were great too. I would come back if they expanded their gluten free offerings!

Everything about Copper was truly outstanding. We had the pumpkin soup, pork ribs, and duck — each dish was exceptional. The pumpkin soup, in particular, was soulful and comforting, perfect for a cool, rainy evening. The focaccia they served was absolutely divine. Every dish was a five-star experience, made even better by the warm and genuine hospitality of the staff. Amazing from every angle.

The restaurant is beautifully designed, and the staff is very professional and friendly. However, we had much higher expectations for the food. We started with welcome cocktails and a small bite, which was a very nice touch and tasted good. Our mocktails were also enjoyable. For a starter, we ordered the jumbo shrimp – it looked great on the plate, but serving just one shrimp (where 70% of it is shell and head) was definitely not a good idea- anyway the sauces used in this dish were excellent and gave it an amazing flavor. Next came the chicken breast sous vide – it was simply fine. The portion was small (as expected for this type of restaurant), but the grey sauce was not good, while the vegetables were perfectly julienned and delicious – though again, there was very little of them. The ribs were just average, and unfortunately, they didn’t fall off the bone as they should have. The vegetables they were served on were far too vinegary. The potato purée, on the other hand, was tasty and served in a generous portion. The salad we ordered to go with the starter was also just okay Overall, a pleasant experience with excellent service and a few dishes that really stood out, though there is still room for improvement when it comes to balance and portions.

My wife and I visited for the special romantic dinner during our honeymoon. We were given a table surrounded by flowers in the shape of a heart, in a secluded offshoot of the main restaurant which we had all to ourselves. We were treated like total VIPs as we were served a multi-course set meal (with much flexibility for substitutions) and wine pairing. The main restaurant is already beautiful, but we were treated in such a way that the other patrons must have been wondering who we were. The food was delicious. The presentation beautiful. Atmosphere out of this world. The staff take a lot of pride in their work here, and it is a very special place. I'm told that they grow all of their own vegetables on-site, and prepare basically all food and components from scratch. It really shows. Ria in particular was a joy to talk to and took super great care of us. My only regret is that we did not reserve a room here when we were setting up our honeymoon, but we certainly will if we're ever back in town. The VIP romantic dinner (here in particular) is a once in a lifetime experience. Don't pass it up.

This was the best meal we’ve had in Bali. We walked over two miles to get to this pace and it was well worth it. We got the prawns, tofu, wagyu and the ribs. All were 12/10. The cocktails were delicious as well and they give you a nice hold towel when you come in to cool you off they also gave us a couple lemongrass shots and bread with pumpkin spread. Very nice servers, would happily go back!

We came in and tried their new dinner menu. The gili curry clams and sticky pork ribs were absolutely delicious! A must try As a vegetarian, I must say the cauliflower steak had this creamy cajuny sauce that was really tasty. Our group also ordered a risotto to mix it up and it was also very savory and delightful.

Beautiful rooftop and great service! Meal began with focaccia, lemon sipping drink and veggie skewer. We enjoyed the food with both Indonesian dishes and other cuisines. Recommend eggplant appetizer, lobster fried rice, rendang, and pork ribs. Very tasty cocktails as well!

Our experience dining at Aperitif Bali was incredible! Furthermore, the service provided by the lovely staff took the experience to another level. A special shout out to Ayu, our table concierge. She was attentive, explained the menu very well, and made us felt truly special. The menu was a gastronomical adventure worthy of its setting and location. We tasted dishes that were adventurous, complex, delicate, yet tasted so familiar to our Indonesian palates. The drink list is nothing short of remarkable. If you can’t find it here, you won’t find it anywhere else in Bali. However, it’s the little things that make this experience such a memorable one for us: We were the only lunch reservation that day and they opened just for us. They had a selection of steak knives from different countries and they wanted us to choose one for our Venison Wellington dish. I have been to a lot of restaurants all around the world, but this is the first time ever, where I had to choose my own knife! They printed our chosen 7-course degustation menu with our names on it as a memento for us to take home. It was our wedding anniversary that day and they served a special anniversary cake for us, together with a beautiful handwritten card signed by the entire kitchen and floor staff, including the chefs! It’s truly a 5-star dining experience and we highly recommend dining at Aperitif Bali to elevate your Bali culinary journey, whatever the occasion.

Had the most wonderful time celebrating my friend's birthday at Aperitif. We booked the private dining room, and every arrangement was perfect. The food was exquisite, the service was impeccable, and the venue itself is stunning. The manager was incredibly helpful and friendly during our WhatsApp communication in the lead-up to the event. A truly special touch was the personalized menu they created for us with our names on it, finalized after we made our choices upon arrival. It's these extra details that show how much they care about creating a unique experience. I cannot recommend Aperitif highly enough for a special occasion. Thank you for making our celebration so memorable.

This was honestly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was pure perfection. The staff were so kind and attentive — you can really feel how much they care about creating a special evening for every guest. But the food… absolutely incredible. Every course was a masterpiece, beautifully presented, perfectly balanced. Every single dish was a surprise in the best possible way. You can tell that so much thought, creativity, and passion go into every single dish. Each plate felt like a little journey on its own, both visually and in taste. The 7-course menu was a real culinary adventure and the wine pairing made it even more special. The wines were truly unique combinations I’d never have imagined, yet they matched the dishes flawlessly. It’s definitely worth adding the pairing; it elevates the entire experience. It’s rare to find a place where every detail, from the service to the plating to the final bite, feels so intentional and refined. I left completely amazed and already can’t wait to come back.

If Bali has a fancier restaurant than Apéritif, we haven’t found it. NB, as part of the Viceroy Hotel, this place has the only helicopter pad we’ve seen. Notice also Art Deco motifs merging with a colonial fantasy of Bali in the 1930s, when it was still ruled by the Dutch. Black and white tiles are typical of the era, okay, but the pattern also alludes to Balinese Hinduism, which acknowledges good and evil as equal parts of life, and life works best when in balance. We reserved an early table to take advantage of ambient light before sunset, but it was hardly necessary. Apéritif is well lit to feature the extraordinary cuisine. This is fine dining with nothing held back. The menu follows the phases of the moon, and all the plates are also shaped like the moon. The staff are marvelously well-trained and in typical Balinese style willing at all times to pause and explain what’s going on. The wine collection is world-class, and considering transportation and taxes, prices are very reasonable, but after a couple of fascinating cocktails that blended classic expressions with Balinese accents, we chose the wine pairing, which was magnificent, both in selections and in the pairings themselves, which were remarkably intelligent, not to mention synergetic. Sommelier Jean-Benoit Iselé has taken full advantage of APÉRETIF’s extraordinary cellar and doubtless collaborated closely with chef Nick Vanderbeeken to evoke every possible nuance. I’m running out of words, but this experience brings to a close our quest for authentic Bali. The power of this ancient anomalous civilization, now almost completely subsumed by tourism, has been raised to pure art here at Apéritif, absent apology, but glowing with respect for the very best.

From the very first welcome until the last sip of wine, everything was orchestrated with such grace that I almost forgot I was in Bali and not somewhere in a European culinary dream. The service team made me feel like I was the only guest in the room, attentive but never intrusive. Each dish was more than food, it was a story on a plate. My favorite part was how every flavor unfolded slowly, like a surprise that kept me curious from start to finish. I’ve eaten at many fine dining restaurants, but this one left me with goosebumps, the kind of experience you replay in your mind long after it’s over. If I had to describe it in one sentence: Apéritif is where art, passion, and taste come together under one roof. Highly recommend!

Spoilt with the 10-course degustation tasting at one of Bali's finest restaurants - here at Apéritif. Themed with the phases of the moon, our multi-course meal featured specially crafted dishes designed to showcase the chef's creativity and highlight Balinese signature ingredients. It was a comprehensive culinary experience about much more than just taste, which was amazing! It's more a focus on sensory appreciation than just filling your stomach - which is what I usually do. :-) Highlight for me was being offered a choice of knives from all around the world, with each coming with an explanation. I of course chose the Balinese traditional knife! The showmanship of the 3 hour meal was all the entertainment we needed for the evening. Blew my mind! And tastebuds. Staff are so helpful in explaining each part of the experience. Definitely the place to bring loved-ones or special guests if you plan to show off Bali, or truly spoil someone - or just spoil yourself :-)

Each dish is thoughtfully curated and beautifully presented, with textures and flavours that both challenge and delight the palate. The wine and champagne list is extensive, carefully curated and balanced with selections from all over the world, offering options at every price point. There are plenty of choices to perfectly complement each course – whether you choose the pairing menu or select your own glass or bottle from their impressive range. I was fortunate enough to dine during a Friday lunch sitting. The restaurant’s presentation is just as memorable as the food, featuring a sophisticated monochrome design with a modern European–French influence that flows seamlessly through to the bar and terrace. Personally, the standout dishes for me were the King Prawn and the Venison Wellington, Chef Nic’s signature dish – both absolute must-tries. Aperitif is not just a meal, it’s an immersive culinary journey that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking the very best of fine dining in Ubud.

The food and service were great! They have happy hour on drinks, and if you order main food from the menu, dessert is free. At first, we got some snacks while we waited for the main dishes. You will get refreshing towels. Bali belly free, but be careful because you were probably at the market. Parking is outside for scooters only.

I don't usually review any establishment; in fact, this is the first time I've done so, but this restaurant deserves it. The waiters' service is excellent, especially Ayu's, who served us the most, but in general, everyone's. The food, in my opinion, was spectacular. Lamb is my favorite dish, and what they served me was the best lamb I've ever eaten. That's a lot of praise, coming from where I come from. Thanks for the dinner !

Honestly one of my favourite restaurants on the island. Came with my wife to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful time! The staff were 10/10 - we were attended to by Santi and Wiwik who made the evening truly special. The food tasted great and the menu has a very cool Indonesian island story to it, covering cusine from a broad range of islands. Highly recommended

In Ubud, this Indonesian restaurant offers delicious food with great presentation. The flavors are well-balanced and satisfying. Our waitress, Anggie, was friendly and attentive, making the meal even more enjoyable. A nice spot for a taste of authentic Indonesian cuisine!

The entrance is quite dramatic, and you get a nice view with a natural vibe. The service is great, and the cocktails are good. I also love the creative concept of presenting the menu as playing cards which is the nice touch.

The cocktail, suggested as the best seller, was good but nothing extraordinary. The food was just medium. The place itself is quite nice and worth going, although I agree with one review here that says that the music is too loud and would be better just the nature sound on the background.

The walk into the restaurant gave the restaurant a nice aura. The views of nature was eye dropping while you eat. The food was so good. Served in tapas style and you pick what you eat from picking out of a deck of cards. I definitely recommend.

Discover the Hidden Gem: the jungle bar beneath Campuhan Bridge. Shhh.. there is a special spot beneath the Campuhan Bridge in Ubud called The Lair and it is truly magical. Hidden away surrounded by lush tropical greenery and gently serenaded by the river below. Orders are served on a charming deck of cards. The drinks are soooo good. You should try one of each 🤣. The snacks are unique and tasty. It is a maze to find this bar because you will have to go down several steps. While it is not accessible for everyone, this place is absolutely magical! Reservation is highly recommended!

Amazing Hidden Gem Hiding beneath the old bridge under the restuarant. Such a creative menu where they give you a pack of cards (one for food, one for drinks). Hand the waiter the winning selection, and out come Delicous Cocktails and Food! My new favourite place.

We didn't eat here. We had mocktails. Service was friendly and fast. The atmosphere was warm and fun. Drinking a lot is encouraged. We went on a Tueaday night around 8pm. The band Aboe and friends were great. They rocked the covers the played and we had a great time. Unfortunately one very, very, very drunk person was falling all over everyone, touching people up, crashing into people, showing their underwear and no one could make them leave. For some people this was very amusing. For some people this was annoying and not nice. I saw staff finally refuse them alcohol and give water but it was too late. So, expect some very drunk people along with the yummy drinks and good music.

I came to this bar to catch up with some friends over a few beers. A band was playing & they were awesome 🤘 I had the chicken wrap & some mozzarella sticks which were so tasty & great value for money. The staff were so friendly.

The best bar in Ubud - Why Not Hands down the best place for music and drinks. We went on a saturday night around 7 pm and we were lucky enough to catch the DKay Band who were incredibly good (starts around 8.30/ 9 pm Sat night) , unbelievably talented all of them. We also got to meet the owner Pak. Bagus 😎 who is a very very friendly local man who is happy to talk, help in any way with all his patrons. We had the "Buy 2 Cocktails get 3" for 160 k they were delicious and the place was full by 9:30 pm still a couple of seats left not many as the band is so good. Try it you wont be disappointed, jl Bisma we will be back 100% again to meet all the friendly staff who are so good at orders and serving with smiles and explanation of each drink. What a live music, band performance was totally entertaining and made all the folks sing and dance together.. love the vibes 😍😍😍 Had burger which had eggplant, never thought I will try but it was damn tasty.. drinks were also good and service was pretty fast. Drinks name were also pretty interesting i.e. why not enjoy.. so true ☺️

Beautiful place and good food! Busy place next to the street, not cheap but the execution of the food, presentation and taste were outstanding. Highly recommended when in Ubud! Make sure you have reservation so there will be no wait. My favorite was the rib eye steak, medium rare and it was extremely juicy and delicious! A must try 😊 although they have to work on their fish dishes as some were overcooked. Too much cumin with some of their appetizers.service was excellent though.

Honey & Smoke in Ubud is a must-visit! The vibe is trendy and upscale, with amazing food and great service. Yes, it’s a little pricey, but the flavors, presentation, and execution are absolutely worth it. We ordered four small dishes and one entrée to share, and it was the perfect amount for two people. Every bite was full of incredible flavor. I highly recommend making a reservation since it gets busy, and you definitely don’t want to wait. Highly recommended when in Ubud — I absolutely loved it!

Incredible grill - the best meal we’ve had in Ubud. We did the ‘Feed Me’ menu and they let us swap one of the dishes on there. All the dishes were so well thought out, really sophisticated and amazingly balanced. 5 ⭐ experience all around

We stopped by here after not being able to get a table at Donna or Pasir (which I’d recommend trying). The restaurant itself looks really nice—stylish and inviting—so we decided to sit down for some small plates and cocktails. Unfortunately, both the food and drinks were disappointing. The only dishes I genuinely enjoyed were the romesco and scallops. The vine leaves were just okay, while the tuna crudo was oddly prepared and not something I’d order again. The two cocktails we tried were also pretty average. What made the experience worse was the service—our server came across as condescending and hovered over the table, which made the whole meal feel uncomfortable. Overall, a letdown despite the lovely setting.

Cocktails and food were exquisite with generous portions. The lamb shank was cooked to perfection. Service was very attentive. We preferred sitting upstairs as the seating area downstairs is off the busy road.

The food was great. The scallops and the zucchini flowers were so good (I don’t even eat zucchini in the first place but I loved it). The first steak that we like around bali.

The food was delicious - we had the hummus and bread, carrots, and cauliflower to share, and I had the ragu for my main, which I would highly recommend. My friends had the fish skewers, and fried chicken and strawberry pavlova, which they said were all very tasty. The staff were very nice and helpful. The seating was a bit uncomfortable but otherwise the vibe of the restaurant is nice. The food also has a lot of garlic in, which I could taste for hours afterwards, but in future I would just ask for this to be reduced. Overall, still the best meal I had in Ubud.

The bar was cute and the waiter and waitress were friendly. There also was live music and the atmosphere was nice. So as a bar I would recommend. But we also ate some beef burgers and they weren‘t good at all. At first I didn‘t like the taste but I still ate a little bit of it (3/4 of the burger). But later I regret, we don‘t know what was wrong with it (maybe the beef wasn‘t good anymore) but we all three got stomach problems after that. If you don‘t want to waste two* days of your holiday on the toilet, I would recommend not eating these burgers. *More like 7 days But all in all I would say getting drinks there is all right.

We really enjoyed dining at this place. There was a live band when we went to eat there. Their prices are really fair and the food was amazing. Its situated along Bisma street and very easy to identify. Their staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I will definitely go for drinks again next time i visit Ubud.

Simple bar with live music and relatively cheap drinks. Tucked away in a quieter street of Ubud. Service is good and fast. They have 1 toilet in the bar. We sat at the quieter end where you can also hear the forest. Didn’t try the food as I read multiple reviews of customers having food poisoning.

Everything about this place is just great. Listen, just go, get some drinks, and start chatting with the staff and fellow patrons. You’ll have a memorable time and probably make a new friend or two. The local band we saw was also excellent - just so much fun and amazing people all around. Don’t be a boring person - just go here.

The oyster was good and sublime. Butternut Fish was the main I ordered and was what I was looking for. The warm salad was also good and interesting. The Ceasar salad was ok the shrimp in it was really good. Service was great and attentive apart from the slight mistake on my order. Restaurant was clean well lighted and moody.

Nautilus Seafood and Bar isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience that nourishes both the body and the soul.

1. Ordered the barramundi and dumplings, but unfortunately, the sauce lacked flavor, and the dumplings lacked temperature. Fish was cooked decently 2. Better orders of the night were the appetizers/small plates. The oysters were excellent, and the tuna tataki had a deep nutty flavor. 3. Seafood platter was lukewarm when it arrived. Nothing really stood out given the expectations. Decent, but not worth repeating.

Nautilus was honestly the best seafood experience we had in Bali. We celebrated our honeymoon there and the staff surprised us with a free dessert, which was such a kind touch. The prawns were fresh, perfectly cooked and full of flavor, served with gloves to make it easy, and the champagne matched perfectly. The oysters were outstanding — super fresh, creamy and juicy. We tried both raw and baked, and both were spot on. The place itself feels cozy, with a big aquarium full of lobsters that adds to the atmosphere. Overall, it’s a hidden gem — amazing food, attentive staff, and a place we’ll definitely remember. Thank you, amazing experience!

We had an amazing evening at Nautilus, where every detail—from the food to the atmosphere—was beautifully thought out. Food The dishes were plated like works of art. The ceviche tacos were bright and refreshing, with fresh fish, corn, mango, and avocado wrapped in crisp shells—definitely a highlight starter. The sesame-crusted tuna was elegant and flavorful, while the seafood pasta with scallops and clams was hearty and comforting. The stir-fry with squid and greens brought a nice touch of local flair. Everything came with thoughtful accompaniments like guacamole, pico de gallo, and homemade sauces that tied the flavors together. Cocktails (The Best Part!) The drinks were truly the star of the evening. Each cocktail was not only delicious but also stunningly presented—from a refreshing citrus spritz to a gold leaf–topped Old Fashioned. The creativity and balance in the cocktails made them unforgettable, elevating the whole experience. Sipping them under candlelight gave the night an extra touch of magic. Ambiance & Service The setting was warm and intimate, with a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Service was professional and attentive without ever being intrusive. Overall While the food was excellent, the cocktails stole the show. Nautilus is perfect for anyone looking for a place where drinks, dining, and atmosphere come together for a special night.

The restaurant itself is beautiful! We loved all the details, the walls, the décor with robes, and of course the massive aquarium. Even the menu is simple, elegant, and stylish. Really a place with good taste. Now, about the food: the presentation was beautiful, as you can see, but unfortunately we were disappointed with the flavor. It was good, but at a restaurant of this level you expect bold, memorable flavors. We liked the tuna, but didn’t love it, and both of our main dishes felt average in taste. Because of that, we decided to skip dessert. The staff, as usual, were wonderful, kind ladies welcoming us, attentive service, and no waiting time. Overall, we’d give it 3 stars. The atmosphere is definitely a 5, but the food really needs more focus on flavor.

Very nice and cozy place. We came in at 9pm and had the barramundi and black dumplings, vitello tonnato and the fake caviar for desert. Love all the sauces and everything taste great. Great service too! Unfortunately we couldn’t get the octopus tomato fondant, will come back next time to try it!

Just sat here right now writing this review. Great beers & great service. Wandered by during happy hour and now a few cold ones down. Didn’t eat but menu looks really good. If you’re in Ubud I would definitely recommend dropping in!

They do have happy hour, so it was $75k for 2 IPA draft beers, which was a really great deal🥹 The staff were friendly as well. I would like to recommend this place anyone who wants to get a good tap beer in Ubud👍

Another nice local Bali craft beer place - 8 beers on tap and a pretty big collection of cans. And the Beer Brothers even did their own Ginger IPA, on tap. Super service and nice beer snacks.

Great service and a good selection of beers. Most importantly, they have a killer skater punk playlist that reminded me and my wife of our youth. Well definitely be back

If you like Craft beer and not that Bintang or tiger gassy lager stuff... Come here. Citra IPA was nice

Our favorite bar in Ubud. One of the only places you can find craft beer above 7% ABV. Food is delicious and cheap. Staff is young and super friendly. We went back 3-4 times during our short stay in Ubud.

Great little craft beer, beer was tasty, food was a great snack. Board games and darts and great people watching. Staff were so friendly. Definitely stop in for a beer! Nice and chill with good music

Like others have said, a hidden gem. Great, welcoming atmosphere created by both the staff and patrons. As a solo traveler I found it easy to have some nice conversations here. Drink prices are reasonable. Had a cocktail that was well tailored to my taste and a few shots of Arak. All was great! Hope to be back soon.

Fun bar with great cocktails and the best staff! They have some games like cards or darts. It's a relaxed atmosphere with cool decor and sometimes live music. We went there a couple of times during our stay in Ubud and really enjoyed the place and the drinks. Wayang was very welcoming and made us feel at home. He even gave us some complimentary infused arak to try which was lovely!

The atmosphere is awesome. It feels like a retro bar and plays awesome music I grew up with in the US. The staff is very friendly and most likely you will be greeted by the patrons as you arrive. There is a warm community feeling here. Really enjoyed it. The burger was do so, but the drinks and onion rings were great.

Absolutely loved this place! The staff is incredible and super friendly. You can tell they’ve created such a welcoming environment by the people they have come in regularly and how they bring people from different tables together. The food here is also so good, and feels home cooked. Special thanks to Alit and the bar staff (I can’t spell their names for the life of me but they were amazing!) I could see myself coming back here every trip!

The staff are just absolutely lovely. I’m a 20 year old girl, I have never felt safer or more comfortable around bar staff then I have here (special shout out to Wayan for being amazing). My mum was recently in Ubud on her first solo trip and they made her feel so welcome that I had to check them out. She mentioned off hand that her birthday was the next day and they called her down because they had made her a birthday cake. Cannot express enough just how kind and welcoming everyone is. Cocktails are delicious and sneakily strong - the Green Valley is a particular favourite of mine if you have a sweet tooth but Misty Temptations is equally tasty - you can tell how easy they go down by the fact I have no photos of them. I’ve been here 4 times in the past week and I will be returning! (Photos are of “Da Dragon” and “Ubud Rainbow”)

Went to this place for dinner. As they had live music playing and looked vibrant and had good vibes. Ordered fried calamari and a sushi roll for appetizer which was delicious. Then we ordered the beef tenderloin surf and turf platter and the seafood mix platter, the food quality was very good but lacked some basic flavors like salt and pepper for the steak. Very limited selection of wines. Prices was below average but not cheap. Service was good but not the best. Maybe you should give it a try.

The service was incredible, The atmosphere was calming and warm. And I can’t even start about how good the music was. I had spring rolls they were delicious and very filling I also had a chocolate milkshake which was also so good. The sushi was good too but I would prefer the mayonnaise was optional. I would definitely eat here again

Food, ambiance and services is top notch. Visited on Monday evening and they have dancing session starting from 8pm.

We asked for a vegan option and even if it wasn’t in the menu they cooked us a delicious fried rice with veggies. The staff was really friendly and Kadek the bartender especially kind.

We were on our way to a vegan restaurant when heavy rain started so we pulled up randomly. Service was excellent and although not much of a choice for vegans, they prepared an amazing Nasi Goreng with satay tofu and the flavours were so delicious.

This place is amazing, writing this during the meal as the food is so good. Beef rendang is a must and veg spring rolls with panko crumbs (and a vibrant to wash it down) Lovely staff and a great setting

Such a great venue hidden right in the rice fields… incredible atmosphere! So stylish and jazzzy! Was admired by the live band - my favorite saxophone and grand piano with beautiful vocal..! Took me to Chicago… Thanks a lot for your great service and this exclusive vibe that you bring to Ubud! As a founder of dance show in Bali I enjoyed this cocktail so much 😃🍸💫

A magical evening. Transported away to a different time and era. Gatsby in the 20’s. Highlight was the three-piece jazz musicians. Great repertoire and they even took requests. Food was perfect with great combinations with local inspirations. So many choices. Great flavours. The meat was so tender. It was everything - the setting, music, food, drinks, staff, chill. We planned to eat and leave, but ended up just sitting and enjoying the atmosphere until 11pm. And I know this may sound weird - but don’t leave before checking out the bathrooms first. ;-)

Some say it’s hard to pin down what takes a cocktail bar from good to great. But I disagree as you only have to step inside Pinstripe Bar to see outstanding in action. It’s apparent in the warm welcome, the professional and assured service. It is on display in the curated cocktail list which are made with the world’s top spirit brands and each with a story behind them. Not only that but the sense of place is at Pinstripe Bar is incredible as it seamlessly combines Balinese hospitality together with a 1930’s speakeasy vibe. All guest need to do is settle in, peruse the menu and let this magical experience begin. Cocktails offer incredible flavour combinations including native Balinese ingredients, they magically transform colour in the glass and appear topped with smoke filled bubbles for impact. This theatre adds another level to the experience of enjoying creative cocktails with the team at Pinstripe Bar. Combined with stunning architecture, outstanding food and the sheer scale of the venue makes Pinstripe Bar a must-visit on visit to Bali.

Such a beautiful, quiet hidden gem in Ubud. I stumbled upon this place when I was searching up places that did live jazz in Bali, and I made a reservation for a Thursday evening as they only do live music on Thursdays and Fridays. This lovely bar is nestled in Viceroy Bali, and it is an absolutely gorgeous property. On that evening, I was attended to by Chagga and Dewa, who were both incredibly attentive. The staff were all very friendly and it was great making small talk with them. It was lovely meeting them. The service was top-notch, and I was escorted to my seat and then to my car when I was ready to leave. The food was excellent - very fresh and flavourful. Portions are a little on the smaller side since it comes from their fine dining restaurant, Apéritif, next door. But everything was yummy and served promptly. The drinks however, were the star of the show. Each cocktail on their menu has a story and is inspired by an influential figure. I enjoyed hearing about how they conjured up each one, and the drinks themselves were excellent. Live music was on point as well. I wish I could have stayed a bit longer to enjoy but I suppose I’ll just have to come back sometime :) Chagga shared that the live music on Fridays is more akin to proper jazz. To round off the evening, Chagga gave me some free martini shots which were incredibly smooth and strong. Thank you for the spectacular time - I can’t wait to be back!

6 star atmosphere!!! One of the highlights of our stay. Pinstripe feels like a hidden speakeasy with moody lighting, luxe interiors, and seriously good drinks. Prices are on the higher side, but totally worth it if you enjoy a cozy cigar lounge feel. The humidor was a cool touch, and the cocktails were expertly made.

Dining at Pinstripe felt like stepping into a time machine that transported us straight to the 1920s, perfectly in line with their concept. I was truly impressed by the interior design, the bar was spacious, and there was even a cigar lounge with personalized lockers for alcohol, labeled with the names of well-known people. I ordered the Venison Wellington, which was served directly by the Chef with a special tableside presentation, such a show! It was absolutely delicious, the best I’ve ever had. The venison was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth honestly, nothing else has ever compared. I also tried the Wagyu, which was equally tender, melting effortlessly in the mouth, so smooth it barely needed chewing. Every dish was bursting with flavor. The drinks were also unique and creative, crafted with their own signature style, really impressive. All of this, accompanied by soulful live jazz music, made it such a beautiful evening for me. Without a doubt, I’ll be coming back again!

Best cocktail bar in Ubud. Had holy negroni and old fashioned. It has a old style new york jazz bar atmosphere and really liked it.
