What a great restaurant tucked away from the craziness of the high street in Ubud! High quality food and drinks, served with great attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. We sat at the bar which was great and the bartenders really looked after us 🍸 Don’t skip the lobster dumplings. Probably one of the best I ever had, really appreciated the generous ratio of lobster 🦞 The beef rendang was 🤌🏼 and I really enjoyed my grilled baby chicken. An explosion of flavour in all dishes, without being too spicy.

We had an outstanding experience at Hujan Locale. The local cuisine was exquisite, with fresh ingredients and every dish bursting with flavour, elevated by a touch of sophistication. It’s certainly not the cheapest restaurant in Ubud, but absolutely worth it. The staff were wonderfully welcoming and warm. The setting is charming, a typical local-style restaurant, yet with exceptional attention to detail and a beautifully maintained atmosphere. We tried the crispy chicken and pork batagor dumpling, the slow-cooked beef rendang, and the Acehnese chicken korma, all of which were utterly delicious. We wouldn’t hesitate to return!

I really wanted to like Hujan Locale, but honestly, it just didn’t live up to the hype. Or the price tag. For 330k, I was expecting something exceptional, something that justifies the upscale branding. Instead, what I got felt no different from what you’d find in a good local warung—except here, you’re paying triple for the same experience. The beef rendang, which should’ve been the highlight, was average at best. Flavor was fine, but not memorable. I’ve had rendang from tiny family-run spots that easily outshine this one in both taste and soul. Even the presentation lacked finesse. The ambiance was pleasant enough, but the service crossed into overbearing. The staff seemed to lose their minds over the fact that I had a bottle of energy drink with me—even though I wasn’t drinking it. The way they reacted was unnecessary and frankly insulting. For a restaurant that tries to present itself as refined, that kind of attitude felt petty and off-putting. Overall, Hujan Locale feels like a place coasting on reputation and aesthetics rather than substance. The food is decent, but if you actually care about flavor and value, you’ll find better—and more authentic—meals in the warungs down the street.

Hujan Locale is amazing. The venue is gorgeous and stepping in feels like you’re stepping into another era. The staff are professional and nice - delivering service with a smile. The food is fantastic - each meal providing a different range of flavours and textures. Each dish tastier than the next. Overall we have a GREAT experience and will return. It was on the pricier end of the spectrum but worth every cent - a nice treat!

We were recommended this place and it certainly did not disappoint! We came without a booking but were able to sit downstairs in the bar area and order all the food. The cocktails were great and the food was amazing. Some really interesting and unique flavours all round with too many dishes to recommend! Wish we had come another night to try some more.

In our 2 stay last year and this year, this was the best restaurant we've found in Ubud and Bali in general. Welcoming staff. 🙏 Can be a bit pricey but not overpriced like other places where the food isn't good by the way. Here you'll have great food (at least if you try our recommandations).. 👍 Special mention for the beef rendang, the scallop (starter) and the dessert mango 🥭- coco 🥥 in granite style. Disappointed by the tuna (starter) though, which was lacking a bit of taste and some 'peps' . wish the tuna had come with a sauce similar to the one that came with the scallop... Also, people complaining in the comments are just people without any taste who enjoy Coca, Fries 🍟, and Burgers 🍔/ pizza 🍕 🤦

After that, you’re led into the indoor dining room for a series of starters, and later moved again to a beautiful garden space where the main courses are served. The transition between spaces makes the meal feel like a journey, and the presentation of each dish is elegant and clearly well considered. While the ambiance and service were both top-notch—the staff were attentive, professional, and warm—I personally found the food to be just decent. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it didn’t really impress me or live up to the high expectations that come with the price. The flavors were clean and refined, but lacked that extra “wow” factor that I was hoping for from a fine dining experience. One thing that stood out (in a less positive way) was the pacing of the meal. After finishing each dish, I found myself waiting about 15 minutes for the next one to arrive. I understand that dishes are freshly prepared and timing is important for presentation and quality, but the gaps between courses felt a bit too long and slightly disrupted the flow of the meal. All in all, it’s a lovely venue with great service and a creative dining concept, but for me, the food didn’t quite justify the overall price and time commitment. Had the 8 course, seasonal menu. With wine pairing. The pairing was good and I loved most of the dishes. The desserts were not great, in my opinion. Also 2 desserts out of 8 courses seemed too much, but I'm also more of a fan of savory vs sweet. The pace was good, didn't feel like I was waiting eagerly on the next course. I could have skipped the "while we wait" cocktail. Only had 2 sips, so a waste.

I rarely write Google reviews, but this time I felt I had to share so others don’t have the same disappointing experience I did. I brought my mom here for her birthday during our trip to Bali, hoping for a memorable fine dining evening after seeing so many positive reviews. Unfortunately, the reality was far from what we expected. The food was underwhelming, most dishes lacked flavor, and even the signature main course, the duck, had an unpleasant smell that made it hard to enjoy. On top of that, each course took so long to arrive that we were struggling to stay awake between dishes. What surprised me most was the service. I don’t know why, but out of all the places we’ve dined in Bali, the staff here provided the poorest customer care, even though this was also the most expensive restaurant we’ve been to on this trip. The staff seemed tired and disengaged, as if they just wanted to finish their shift. They didn’t make us feel welcomed or cared for throughout the evening. For a birthday dinner, there was no effort to make it feel special; even offering to take a simple photo for us never happened. I truly regret choosing this place for such an important occasion. For the price and service charge, I had expected much more. I hope this review serves as a consideration for others who are thinking of dining here.

An absolute must for all fine dining lovers. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the service was excellent. We started the night inside the main building and were later transferred to the backyard, which is surrounded by bushes and trees with the grill located in the middle. The food was delicious and very creatively arranged on the plate. For one plate, the head chef served us the dish and added the final touches at our table.

Had the most wonderful time celebrating my friend's birthday at Aperitif. We booked the private dining room, and every arrangement was perfect. The food was exquisite, the service was impeccable, and the venue itself is stunning. The manager was incredibly helpful and friendly during our WhatsApp communication in the lead-up to the event. A truly special touch was the personalized menu they created for us with our names on it, finalized after we made our choices upon arrival. It's these extra details that show how much they care about creating a unique experience. I cannot recommend Aperitif highly enough for a special occasion. This was honestly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was pure perfection. The staff were so kind and attentive — you can really feel how much they care about creating a special evening for every guest. But the food… absolutely incredible. Every course was a masterpiece, beautifully presented, perfectly balanced. Every single dish was a surprise in the best possible way. You can tell that so much thought, creativity, and passion go into every single dish. Each plate felt like a little journey on its own, both visually and in taste. The 7-course menu was a real culinary adventure and the wine pairing made it even more special. The wines were truly unique combinations I’d never have imagined, yet they matched the dishes flawlessly. It’s definitely worth adding the pairing; it elevates the entire experience. It’s rare to find a place where every detail, from the service to the plating to the final bite, feels so intentional and refined. I left completely amazed and already can’t wait to come back.

If Bali has a fancier restaurant than Apéritif, we haven’t found it. NB, as part of the Viceroy Hotel, this place has the only helicopter pad we’ve seen. Notice also Art Deco motifs merging with a colonial fantasy of Bali in the 1930s, when it was still ruled by the Dutch. Black and white tiles are typical of the era, okay, but the pattern also alludes to Balinese Hinduism, which acknowledges good and evil as equal parts of life, and life works best when in balance. We reserved an early table to take advantage of ambient light before sunset, but it was hardly necessary. Apéritif is well lit to feature the extraordinary cuisine. This is fine dining with nothing held back. The menu follows the phases of the moon, and all the plates are also shaped like the moon. The staff are marvelously well-trained and in typical Balinese style willing at all times to pause and explain what’s going on. The wine collection is world-class, and considering transportation and taxes, prices are very reasonable, but after a couple of fascinating cocktails that blended classic expressions with Balinese accents, we chose the wine pairing, which was magnificent, both in selections and in the pairings themselves, which were remarkably intelligent, not to mention synergetic. Sommelier Jean-Benoit Iselé has taken full advantage of APÉRETIF’s extraordinary cellar and doubtless collaborated closely with chef Nick Vanderbeeken to evoke every possible nuance. I’m running out of words, but this experience brings to a close our quest for authentic Bali. The power of this ancient anomalous civilization, now almost completely subsumed by tourism, has been raised to pure art here at Apéritif, absent apology, but glowing with respect for the very best.

There are plenty of choices to perfectly complement each course – whether you choose the pairing menu or select your own glass or bottle from their impressive range. I was fortunate enough to dine during a Friday lunch sitting. The restaurant’s presentation is just as memorable as the food, featuring a sophisticated monochrome design with a modern European–French influence that flows seamlessly through to the bar and terrace. Personally, the standout dishes for me were the King Prawn and the Venison Wellington, Chef Nic’s signature dish – both absolute must-tries. Aperitif is not just a meal, it’s an immersive culinary journey that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking the very best of fine dining in Ubud.

My wife has a severe peanut allergy and this is the first place in Bali that catered for it and cared. The food was also absolutely phenomenal. I’m not even joking. Each dish was instagrammable and the taste was second to none. The service is worthy of Michelin star. Well done to all the staff that work there. It’s an amazing place and I can’t wait to come back before we leave. The drinks were sensational too. Honestly I can’t rate this place highly enough. Thank you once again for an amazing meal. My wife will talk about this his for decades, and so will I. If you’re in Ubud you MUST have a meal here.

Friday night at Donna was amazing! The staff were very polite and have great knowledge of the menus. The food and drinks was 10/10 downstairs in the restaurant area. Upstairs cocktail bar was 12/10 THE BEST IVE BEEN TOO!! Highly recommend for a premium food and drink restaurant.

Donna in Ubud absolutely deserves every bit of a five-star rating. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, stylish, and welcoming — the perfect blend of modern elegance and Bali charm. The service was attentive without ever feeling rushed, setting the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The food was nothing short of exceptional. We ordered the lamb lasagna and were blown away by how rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced it was. The gnocchi was soft and delicate, the truffle mash was silky and aromatic, and the meatballs were tender and full of depth. Every dish tasted like it was crafted with genuine passion. And I have to highlight the espresso martini — one of the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. To finish the night, we ordered the Melting Donna dessert, and it was the perfect finale. The presentation, the flavors, and the overall experience made it a true showstopper. Donna is easily one of the top dining spots in Ubud, and we will absolutely be returning. Highly recommended to anyone looking for elevated cuisine and memorable vibes.

Excellent tasting and well presented food at a reasonable price. I would personally recommend the Tasmanian Salmon and definitely the Donna dessert. Table next to us were celebrating a birthday and the other side came to celebrate their last night in Bali. It is a special venue. Be sure to book in advance as it os very popular and we could not get a table when we tried to book the first time.

This is the second year we are coming to this place because we absolutely love it! The food is amazing, quality, presentation, everything! But the highlight of the place is service. Every single staff member are at the top of their game. Augus went above above and beyond to make it even extra special. We will definitely be back!!!

One of the best restaurants in Ubud. The food was phenomenal, surprisingly quick to come out. Mary our server was delightful. The team very kindly sung Happy Birthday to me as well which was so sweet. Do make sure you book in tho, as they get busy!

TLDR: Good service, comfortable atmosphere, great drinks, food was okay for meat eaters, but disappointing if you are veggie/gf We came here for dinner tonight and had a mixed experience. I’ll start with the positive, the service: as you’d expect in Bali it was warm, friendly and very attentive. The space itself was clean, comfortable and well looked after too. The drinks we had were excellent as well, and the 2-4-1 happy hour is great value. The food was a mixed bag and didn’t blow us away. My partner is vegetarian and gluten free, and she ordered the roasted beetroot for her main. When the plate arrived it was quite bare - 90% beetroot with a few greens and cubes of cheese doused in vinegar. There wasn’t anything else to it like a filling base of mash/rice/greens to justify listing this as a “main” in the menu - maybe this one’s on us for not looking at the menu detailedly enough, but if something is listed as a main I expect it to be more filling. As a side or starter, it would’ve been okay. I had the ribs which were very flavourful, but laid on top of a papaya salad which had too much vinegar for my liking. The tres leches for dessert was good. Again, top stars to the staff for noticing my partner wasn’t wild on the beetroot and offering to remove it from the bill. The surprise amouse bouches were great too. I would come back if they expanded their gluten free offerings!

Everything about Copper was truly outstanding. We had the pumpkin soup, pork ribs, and duck — each dish was exceptional. The pumpkin soup, in particular, was soulful and comforting, perfect for a cool, rainy evening. The focaccia they served was absolutely divine. Every dish was a five-star experience, made even better by the warm and genuine hospitality of the staff. Amazing from every angle.

The restaurant is beautifully designed, and the staff is very professional and friendly. However, we had much higher expectations for the food. We started with welcome cocktails and a small bite, which was a very nice touch and tasted good. Our mocktails were also enjoyable. For a starter, we ordered the jumbo shrimp – it looked great on the plate, but serving just one shrimp (where 70% of it is shell and head) was definitely not a good idea- anyway the sauces used in this dish were excellent and gave it an amazing flavor. Next came the chicken breast sous vide – it was simply fine. The portion was small (as expected for this type of restaurant), but the grey sauce was not good, while the vegetables were perfectly julienned and delicious – though again, there was very little of them. The ribs were just average, and unfortunately, they didn’t fall off the bone as they should have. The vegetables they were served on were far too vinegary. The potato purée, on the other hand, was tasty and served in a generous portion. The salad we ordered to go with the starter was also just okay Overall, a pleasant experience with excellent service and a few dishes that really stood out, though there is still room for improvement when it comes to balance and portions.

My wife and I visited for the special romantic dinner during our honeymoon. We were given a table surrounded by flowers in the shape of a heart, in a secluded offshoot of the main restaurant which we had all to ourselves. We were treated like total VIPs as we were served a multi-course set meal (with much flexibility for substitutions) and wine pairing. The main restaurant is already beautiful, but we were treated in such a way that the other patrons must have been wondering who we were. The food was delicious. The presentation beautiful. Atmosphere out of this world. The staff take a lot of pride in their work here, and it is a very special place. I'm told that they grow all of their own vegetables on-site, and prepare basically all food and components from scratch. It really shows. Ria in particular was a joy to talk to and took super great care of us. My only regret is that we did not reserve a room here when we were setting up our honeymoon, but we certainly will if we're ever back in town. The VIP romantic dinner (here in particular) is a once in a lifetime experience. Don't pass it up.

This was the best meal we’ve had in Bali. We walked over two miles to get to this pace and it was well worth it. We got the prawns, tofu, wagyu and the ribs. All were 12/10. The cocktails were delicious as well and they give you a nice hold towel when you come in to cool you off they also gave us a couple lemongrass shots and bread with pumpkin spread. Very nice servers, would happily go back!

So I ordered the ribs and when they came to the table oh my gosh they were so tough I can barely bite it nevertheless chew it. The manager came over and offered me something else. I requested the sirlion medium rare. That tasted buttery melt in your mouth it was a Prime Sirloin. Now here's my problem I've been on the toilet for 6 hours I didn't even finish the steak only because I had eaten all the vegetables and salad and bread however at this point I'm not even going to finish it. I waited 8 months to go to this restaurant I'm highly disappointed I did give it two stars because the vegetables and the drinks were good but they're ribs were tough add mashed potatoes for cold and the fact that I've been in the bathroom for 6 hours is why I'm leaving this review actually over 6 hours and I had the dinner around 6:30 pm yesterday.

We visited Cascades at Viceroy Bali to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday, following a recommendation from the kind staff member Destri — and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. Everything from the atmosphere to the service and food was spot-on. I mean I can’t say much else for the price. Expensive by Bali standards, but the normal price of food from the countries tourists usually come from. Came here as a birthday treat, and was given impeccable service as well as a complimentary dessert from the kindness of the staff. All this in addition to being hosted at the lavish resort that is Viceroy. The Ox tail soup is great if you know how to eat from a vertebrae, and pizza was better than expected. Very impressed.

Beautiful place and good food! Busy place next to the street, not cheap but the execution of the food, presentation and taste were outstanding. Highly recommended when in Ubud! Make sure you have reservation so there will be no wait. My favorite was the rib eye steak, medium rare and it was extremely juicy and delicious! A must try 😊 although they have to work on their fish dishes as some were overcooked. Too much cumin with some of their appetizers.service was excellent though.

Honey & Smoke in Ubud is a must-visit! The vibe is trendy and upscale, with amazing food and great service. Yes, it’s a little pricey, but the flavors, presentation, and execution are absolutely worth it. We ordered four small dishes and one entrée to share, and it was the perfect amount for two people. Every bite was full of incredible flavor. I highly recommend making a reservation since it gets busy, and you definitely don’t want to wait. Highly recommended when in Ubud — I absolutely loved it!

Incredible grill - the best meal we’ve had in Ubud. We did the ‘Feed Me’ menu and they let us swap one of the dishes on there. All the dishes were so well thought out, really sophisticated and amazingly balanced. 5 ⭐ experience all around

We stopped by here after not being able to get a table at Donna or Pasir (which I’d recommend trying). The restaurant itself looks really nice—stylish and inviting—so we decided to sit down for some small plates and cocktails. Unfortunately, both the food and drinks were disappointing. The only dishes I genuinely enjoyed were the romesco and scallops. The vine leaves were just okay, while the tuna crudo was oddly prepared and not something I’d order again. The two cocktails we tried were also pretty average. What made the experience worse was the service—our server came across as condescending and hovered over the table, which made the whole meal feel uncomfortable. Overall, a letdown despite the lovely setting.

Cocktails and food were exquisite with generous portions. The lamb shank was cooked to perfection. Service was very attentive. We preferred sitting upstairs as the seating area downstairs is off the busy road.

Delicious more upmarket food in the heart of Ubud! The waiters Eva & Widi were amazing and very knowledgeable about the menu. Give the pizzas and burgers a miss and check this place out!

We stayed at the Perwiti resort next to honey and smoke and indulged into one of the best lunches we’ve ever had! We tried the rosemary bread, squid ink pasta and lamb rump + a strawberry meringue. We will definitely dine again when we return to Bali next year. 5 starts for food, service and atmosphere!

This is completely a plant based fine dinning sourcing only local ingredients! So delicious! Amazing service and food, impressive dishes and the drink pairings was surprisingly good. The staff could not be more welcoming and it is incredibly affordable for tourists that want to dine here. Be prepared to be surprised! Fun, fun, fun!

Came here last night for the long tasting menu and the food was absolutely incredible. So many interesting local ingredients, beautifully showcased in perfectly composed masterpieces. I feel like this restaurant could be gunning for a Michelin star, it's that good! Service was fantastic, and the head chef came round with our last course and he was so friendly and humble. Everything is plant based and can be totally vegan (they just use honey in one thing I think, but this can be avoided!).

A refined dining experience and magic of plant-based cuisine. Unlike general Indonesian dishes, the seasoning of the dishes are pretty mild, yet the spice and the ingredients are very well balanced. This was one of the best meals I've had. No meat in sight and a million amazing flavours. They asked if we had any dietary requirements or dislikes. I mentioned pepper plus mushroom for my partner as a dislike but not allergy and they were accomodating for the mushroom and explained why they couldn't for pepper. Their helpfulness was appreciated! The food was to die for and reasonably priced, given the effort that goes into each dish. Would love to go again.

I absolutely love Herbivore in Ubud. The staff are friendly, and the food is simply divine. Everything is plant-based, which perfectly fits the restaurant’s name, “Herbivore.” For lunch, there are three menu options available. I chose the 3-course menu with alcohol pairing, which featured seven different dishes accompanied by four locally made alcoholic drinks (except for the sake, which is imported from Nagano, Japan). The chef, Arnaud Hauchon, is French. According to the server, the menu will be updated on July 9. I’m definitely planning to return and try the longer menu next time, which includes 14 dishes.

Not a bad spot, nice view of the volcano! The bread as pictured was amazing. Could have had a loaf for dinner. The duck was interesting. Very sweet almost candied. The sauce was even sweeter and to be honest I have had better. But also had worse… The staff was great, super friendly and attentive. The coffee latte was also on par.

Went for late lunch as a solo traveller and had a GREAT experience. Super good service, amazing view and delicious food. Snapper Curry was full of flavor and the Chocolate Mousse reminded me of the one they made at home. Recommended for a date night or nice lunch when in Ubud.

Indus delivery not just great food (and cocktails) but also a stunning view out over an impressive, deep and expansive tree-lined gully. I was there with a group of 20, which they were able to accommodate easily. (We had pre-ordered our meals though.) We also made good use of the 3 for 2 happy hour cocktail list. You have to go up and down 2 lots of large steps at the entrance, so access would be difficult if you're unstable on your feet.

My wife and I visited Indus last night and were treated to a menu which reflects both traditional Balinese cuisine as well as innovative and modern dishes bursting with freshness and flavour. Service was fantastic - attentive but not too invasive. Cocktails were amazing and our selection of dishes did not disappoint. The Balinese tapas was a great way to start our meal, a taste of local flavours to share, beautifully presented, fresh and tasty. The fish in banana leaves, a favourite from past visits, is back on the menu. Don't miss this one - the barramundi is juicy and tender and the spice mix is simply out of this world - your taste buds will love you for the experience!! The cauliflower fritters was also a stand out entree choice. And of course who could resist the famous lime tart to finish off a night of beautiful food under the full moon. We will be back. We'll done Indus.

View was amazing, from the front you don’t suspect how beautiful it is inside. Food was delicious and so were all the cocktails, we went for happy hour and the price was great. All the staff were so lovely and service was good the whole time even when they were really busy.

This was a luxurious dessert experience. So refined, memorable and far exceeding expectations. You wouldn't expect it from the name, but the service and presentation felt world class. Absolutely worth the price per person. The beverage pairings were thoughtful and creative, sometimes unexpected but always harmonious with the flavours. Each course was beautifully presented and expertly crafted. A word of advice: arrive hungry! The portions are generous and surprisingly filling. We couldn’t finish everything on the spot, but the team kindly packed up the rest and we got to enjoy it again the next day. 10/10.

I visited this fine dining restaurant to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a memorable experience. I loved the transition between stations, especially the dessert room and the final station that felt like a cosy campfire with marshmallows. Such a unique touch! The staff were incredibly helpful, and the manager spoke excellent English, which made the dish explanations so much clearer and added to the experience. They even sang a birthday song for me at the last station, a sweet surprise that made the night feel extra special. Even though the portions aren’t huge, 15 courses is very filling, so it’s best to come with an empty stomach or have an early lunch. They also offer gluten-free and pescetarian menus, just let them know your dietary preferences. We booked the 6pm slot, and it was perfect — quiet, intimate, and we were the first guests of the evening. It felt like a personal dining experience. Highly recommend this place for a special occasion, a dinner date, or simply a unique culinary journey. Loved the fresh herbs and creativity in every dish. ✨

It’s not just dinner and deserts. It’s an Experience. We had the 15 course set menu, which was evenly paced out from savoury to desert to a sweet ending. Every dish was thoughtful and exquisite, designed to showcase fresh local produce, at the same time excite your tastebuds. One thing that pleasantly surprised us is that the meal does not comprise completely of deserts with savoury courses just as good as desert courses. Service here exceeds expectations, which is a feat in Bali where even Gojek drivers offer excellent service. Every single dish is patiently explained by servers who are genuinely passionate about the food they served. Come before sunset to enjoy the garden tour before sitting down to a delicious cocktail and appetisers in Room1. Next, move to Room2 for deserts before ending the night with sweets around the fireplace. For the level of food, ambience and service, Room4Desert is very value for money. We’re already making plans to come back!

The most incredible dining experience of our lives. We loved room 4 dessert, the attention to detail in everything from the setting, to the food, to the way you move around the restaurant as you go through the different courses was amazing. I felt like they listened to me without being overly attentive. Don’t sleep on this spot!

We went to Rooms4Dessert with high expectations because it’s famous worldwide. We took the dessert tasting menu with cocktail pairing. Out of 5 desserts, only 1 was really good. The others were okay or disappointing. Probably because the chef wasn’t there that night. The vibe, service, and idea of the place are great though. One big problem: the exhaust system is bad. When we left, we smelled like smoked pork the whole night. I might come back only if I know the chef is cooking, but that’s hard to plan. Overall: nice place, but the desserts need to be more consistent and please fix the smoke smell!

I always try to stop by here every time I come to Ubud. Chef Will always surprises me w his dessert creations. This time I tried Raspberry HK, Coulant & Canang Sando. Each has its highlight, w rich & balance flavor. It’s really a dessert that impress your sensory, therefore your memory. I can still remember the taste of each I ordered. Not to mention the philosophy of each process that aim for local ingredients & zero waste concept. I can say it is more than a dessert. It is a eco-friendly lifestyle. A nice change from the traditional Balinese food. We had yummy ceviche consisting of fish and seafood. My husband and I both had fish dishes to follow which were both delicious. The gnocchi was pillowy and so good! We had beer and wine and I also had one of their passion fruit juices which was delicious. Overall a great experience

Incredibly delicious and nicely presented food. Prepared on the level of fine dining without the frills. I had the lamb skewers, broccoli, and mash. All of them were 10/10. Finished with chocolate cake which was good as well. Great attentive service as well. Highly recommend this place. I'm excited to come back and try more of the menu.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Pica. The service was lovely and incredibly quick, making us feel well taken care of. The food was simply amazing, every dish was bursting with flavor. We enjoyed the empanadas so much that we ordered them a second time! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious food and excellent service.

Really enjoyed dinner at PICA in Ubud. The place is small and cozy, service was friendly, and the food was fresh and flavorful. We had 7 dishes degustation dinner, it was amazing ! The ceviche and faut cheese soufle were highlights, and the passion fruit juice were spot on. Worth it for the quality and atmosphere.

We love peruvian food and Pica is now on the top of our list. We love the Japanese Sakashi oyster (so fresh and tasty), their ceviche, the cerso confitado (one of the best pork belly we ever had). The final touch is the peruvian dessert, tres leche (to die for, we literally lick the bol!). The service is also very efficient and nice staff. Thank you!

I was expecting a little more South American feeling like I’ve seen advertised on Instagram . The food was ok as it had a little too much salt. The empanadas were delicious especially the seafood. Would Definitely return

One of the well-known babi guling spots in the Ubud area. The place is slightly hidden inside (need to walk past the narrow aisle), but it’s quite spacious with a nice greenery view. In terms of taste, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The spices weren’t as strong and flavorful for my liking. The fried pork were a bit tough (alot), but the meat is tender and plenty. The highlight was definitely the crispy pork skin - BEST I've eaten. If you come too late, the lawar might be sold out and they will replace it with sayur labu. Oh and the soup is similar with sop sayur with carrots and green beans. The price is quite steep (tax included), and fyi they only accept cash payments.

It’s more the full experience and jungle neighborhood for me. Food very good but I miss the earlier days when there was a bit more grit and green banana leaves gave it that extra feel and taste…highly recommend for tourist experience. Loved the papaya juice! But be so careful with the seriously hot and good sambal!

It was really nice food and it’s my first time to enjoy our barbecue cooling that was like pulled pork it’s very soft and very tasty.

We came around 4pm and it was raining hard we had to move table due to the wind. They have spacious seating with many tables and chairs. Perfect for big groups. The babi guling itself wasn't among my favorites, I still can smell the pork from the meat. But the babi guling goreng was so good tho! Be careful, the bumbu was quite spicy compared to other babi guling. Beware if you're not a fan of spicy food.

The location is perfect for tourists who's visiting ubud. Which is near to the ubud palace and ubud art Market.vehicles will not reach to the property so you have to walk nearly 250 m. But it is good. The property ambiance is perfect for tourists. One side of the restaurant is facing toward the nature that's great and other side is with a fish pond and birds wich gives a cool atmosphere. We ate food after 3pm so the food was not hot at all. Better the want to heat the dish especially the pork meat, so overall food experience was not so great.

Very good Babi Guling. This outlet number 3 is my favorite. It’s a little hard to find but is actually the home of Ibu Oka. Nestled in a very green area.

So miserable and deflating to see all the cockatoos chained and stressed. Won't support this kind of business. I left this place being stressed at the end. Also got bitten by one cockatoo while I was speaking to a resident next to the restaurant. When I reported this to a restaurant staff, he said "It is okay. I got bitten too." showing his thumb with a permanent scar. It was the resident who helped putting a bandaid for me. No antibacterial ointment prepared. Babi guling taste was average.

Delicious food at PASIR last night, came here after seeing the menu that reminded me of great food I’d eaten in Israel, hoping for the same kind of tastes and quality and I was not disappointed! Two of us had two small plates, two from the garden plates and one pain and it was a huge amount of food! Each dish was delicious but I especially liked the hummus with crispy chickpeas, and the roast baby potato dish. Cocktails were equally yummy. Only slight downside was that we were taken upstairs as we had booked and there was no one else up there! So atmosphere a bit lacking, would have been better to sit downstairs where it was busier

INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE ON EVERY ASPECT! After a couple days of Asian food, some Mediterranean/European cuisine was much needed and we couldn’t hit it better… Everything was delicious and bargain-priced. One of the best dinners in Bali, if not the one.

Visited in May 2025. Bali. Ubud. Nestled just a short distance from Ubud's bustling center and the playful antics of the Monkey Forest, lies Pasir Ubud, a charming eatery adjoined to a local hotel. The interior boasts a bright and airy ambiance, cleverly maximizing the space, and thoughtfully utilizes natural materials throughout the décor. FOOD: The menu, while concise, hints at a Mediterranean influence with a notable emphasis on seafood. It's divided neatly into sections featuring appetizers, main courses, and delectable desserts. Eager to sample a variety of offerings, we opted to focus on the appetizer selection. We began with the pasta, featuring prawns and a bisque. The pasta itself possessed a pleasingly smooth and delicate texture, cooked to the very edge of being overdone - although I confess, I generally prefer a more pronounced "al dente" bite. The sauce, however, was a triumph. A rich and intense prawn and seafood flavor permeated every strand, leaning towards a subtle creaminess rather than a dominant tomato base, and demonstrating a masterful balance of flavors. Next came the baked oysters, presented with a duo of intriguing sauces. We were particularly impressed by the consistency and structure of this dish. The oysters were tender, thoroughly infused with the flavors of the sauce, and blessedly free of any excess moisture - a true testament to the chef's expertise. Sadly, the white fish ceviche proved to be less successful. The fish possessed a somewhat peculiar texture and a disconcerting tendency to fall apart. It appeared the fish fibers had been damaged, possibly due to improper thawing techniques. Furthermore, the dish lacked any discernible acidity, resulting in a flavor profile that was decidedly bland. For dessert, we indulged in the coconut crème brûlée. While enjoyable, I confess I yearned for a more robustly caramelized crust of burnt sugar, echoing the iconic crispness of the original crème brûlée. The custard itself was smooth, creamy, and free of any unwelcome graininess. SERVICE: The service was both attentive and efficient. Our order was taken promptly, and the staff demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills. When we expressed our disappointment with the white fish ceviche, we were graciously offered a complimentary dessert, a gesture greatly appreciated and reflective of a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. VERDICT: Overall, we were thoroughly charmed by the cuisine and ambiance at Pasir Ubud. Almost every dish we sampled was delicious and brimming with its own unique personality. If you find yourself in Ubud, I would wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this delightful restaurant.

Service was impeccable as always - each dish was explained carefully to us. However 4/5 dishes we ordered were disappointing despite so many raving reviews! We were looking forward to this meal but it was definitely a let down - of no fault to the servers so we told them it was great regardless. The only dish we enjoyed were the Lombok Scallops. Grilled Octopus was overcooked and chewy and very bland. Lacked any sort of flavor whatsoever and the same with the Beef Cheek.. Octopus Carpaccio wasn’t horrible but wasn’t anything special either and the same with the Prawn Bisque Tagliatelle. Didn’t live up to the hype for us unfortunately.

Try to get a reservation to secure your spot. I came previous night but it was booked out. Looked good, so had to try. The feta dip with flatbread was really good. Asparagus was well flavoured. Spaghetti surprisingly good and grilled octopus was tender and had good sauce. Coconut panna cotta could have done with more sugar caramelisation at top though. Overall- worth it

Cuisine tasted absolutely amazing. The spices were definitely there and had a good amount of flavor. Sure prices are higher due to the tourism in ubud but overall an amazing experience if you like Indonesian cuisine! I would go back for certain!

We enjoyed a delicious meal here with interesting takes on Indonesian flavours. We ordered the tuna ceviche, Tempe green bean salad, smokey cauliflower with eggplant hummus and Tempe crumb, smoked duck with cucumber salad and another delicious salad. This was a lot for two people and we left very full especially with the kitchen creating a free bite and welcome drink at the start. Would highly recommend - the staff were wonderful and the decor was beautiful too

CRAZZYYY GOOD, you HAVE to check out Liap Liap on Monkey Forest Road - it’s peak Ubud: part vibey hotspot, part cozy smokehouse hideaway. Walk in through the big open wall facing the street, and boom - smoky aromas, chill vibes, top service, and food that slaps, all wrapped in the buzz and heartbeat of Ubud. Get the beef rendang minang - slow-cooked, spice-loaded, basically a hug on a plate paired with ridiculously fragrant coconut rice. Oooh and the coconut tart with mango sorbet is straight-up dessert sorcery. Already planning my return for the smoked octopus rujak - saw it, wanted it, questioned all my life choices, still not over it. Cocktails are fire too - start with the Bisma Gardens (gin + herbs = 💯). BONUS: It’s part of Bisma Eight, so sneak over to the hotel in the back which is an absolute vibe - think bougie poolside bar, cozy cabanas, and all the laid-back luxe you didn’t know you needed. And definitely don’t skip No Más bar upstairs above Liap Liap restaurant — live music, neon glow, post-dinner party energy, good chaos. Trusttt — you need this in your life. Just book ahead!

We had a beautiful lunch here. We tried the grilled fish, a side salad, with steamed rice, and it was so delicious. I do recommend the combo. They also had a nice menu with other good choices.

Came here twice in three days the food is THAT good!! 🩷 The Smokey flavour from the fire is delicious, I got a seafood platter to myself both times and it’s a great amount if you’re hungry. The Miso corn is incredible and definitely try the traditional Balinese desserts! Also delicious 😍 thanks again!

The sushi was fresh and tasty, and the hot rolls were really good too. I liked the food a lot, even if the street outside was busy and a bit noisy. Overall, it was still a nice stop worth trying.

We had a pleasant dinner at Kyoka. The food was overall very nice. There are variaties of drinks. Staff were friendly and efficient. They did act very quickly helping each tables.

We had an excellent evening with a very delicious meal and very kind and friendly staff. The manager was so welcoming and fun to talk to, always checking if we're enjoying our meal or need anything. The waiters and bar men were very efficient and friendly even though the restaurant was overbooked and very busy. I strongly recommend this culinary address. For Muslim clients, it has many vegetarian and pescetarien options and you can even enjoy moctails (nonalcoholic cocktails). My advice is to make reservation if you want to get a table, we didn't and we found out on arrival that all tables are booked, they nonetheless proposed to serve us in the bar area, and honestly it was more confortable and pleasant than I thought it would be. Again very beautiful experience and excellent food and service. Thank you so much Kyoka!

An extremely pleasurable dining experience with fantastic cocktails. Had the tuna sashimi, was slightly skeptical when ordering. It came out on ice and was cold and fresh, tuna rolls were delicious and edamame was great to. Can not find a fault here. Thanks for a nice time!

We had the pork gyoza, chicken avo & cucumber sushi, and the pork ramen and it was all very delicious. Best ramen i’ve ever had, broth was amazing and full of many flavours. Definitely recommend and will be back!

We opted for the set menu, and gave notice of an allergy on the booking request. Staff were knowledgeable about shellfish allergies and the kitchen prepared alternative starters and sambals for my friend- really fantastic service! The food was absolutely divine from start to finish. We both agreed that the tuna dish was one of the best raw fish dishes either of us had eaten. A great spot for foodies, or for date night. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the open grill kitchen at the front creates a great atmosphere. The excellent food, service and atmosphere make it worth the price tag.

Third time eating here at Nusantara spanning over a decade since my first, and it’s never failed to deliver. Great food, ambience and hospitality. Strongly recommend the beef ribs, stir fry papaya leaves with banana blossom, crispy babek, prawn curry and the chicken. The chicken dish was very unassuming but boy did it deliver. Managed to retain all of its moisture. Definitely looking to return when I’m back at Ubud! Remember to make reservations!

CocoNuts! Nusantara truly delivered on their promise of elevating classic Indonesian dishes. The chef’s menu is unique, with a wide variety of traditional Indonesian cuisine presented with refined cooking techniques, fresh ingredients, or simply done differently. From curries and soups to snacks and cocktails, everything was executed perfectly. The lamb curry was a standout, and the coconut soup still haunts my dreams. If you’re looking for a culinary experience that won’t disappoint, this is it. The service was excellent, and the private dining room was perfect for an intimate vacation dinner. They are nuts and truly coconuts.

I travelled all the way from London and this little gem in Bali made the journey even sweeter! The carrot cake was moist and topped with the creamiest frosting — honestly one of the best my wife had. The vanilla cake was beautifully light yet rich in flavor, and the lemon meringue was a showstopper: zesty, refreshing, and balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. On top of the delicious desserts, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were so warm, welcoming, and attentive, making me feel right at home. You can tell they truly care about their guests’ experience. If you’re in Bali and love desserts, this place is an absolute must-visit.

I'd give it 10 stars. Our favorite place in Bali. We went here 5 out of the 7 days we were in Ubud. The coffee and desserts are delicious. The staff are so sweet and friendly. The place is big and spacious, so you can comfortably sit and chat. The interior is lovely. It's not exactly in the city center, but it's an easy walk. One evening, when we wanted tea, they offered us a lemongrass mixed brew, and we loved it! Nothing we ate was disappointing. They use bottled water, which is safe and clean. Definitely go and try it! 💞

It’s a really nice And cozy restaurant with a great variety of food, drinks, and desserts. I’ve been here twice, and Eka even remembered me! She’s so sweet, caring, and does an amazing job. I definitely recommend this place for its lovely ambiance and delicious food.

The food was all pretty good! I especially liked their crispy pork belly and the pork satay—the charred edges made it super crispy and juicy. On a warm but cloudy day, a glass of mint lemon tea hit just right. We were lucky to get a seat without waiting, and the food came out pretty fast. The space wasn’t crowded at all. Highly recommend their Bebek Betutu and crispy pork belly too! 😋

We have been recommended this place and got not disappointed. Getting seated on the lower levels gives you nice views into the green. As they were only few people only level 1 was open. The service was very kind and attentive. The food was really good and we felt that prices were more than fair. Enjoyed our stay at the oldest restaurant of Ubud and would recommend it.

Each dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and prepared with care. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high quality. The staff are attentive and genuinely welcoming, making the whole dining experience relaxed and enjoyable. The location is peaceful, tucked beside the river, offering a calm and scenic escape from the busier parts of town. Even the facilities are spotless; a small but meaningful detail that speaks to the care taken in every aspect of the restaurant. As the very first restaurant in Ubud, Murni’s Warung more than lives up to its legacy. It deserves every bit of recognition it gets and then some. Really nice warung by the ridge. We had some beef rendang and duck these both came with rice. The juices were nice but were a bit too pulpy for me I had to ask the staff to strain one of these because I kept coughing with every sip. Overall though their food tasted amazing and the prices are fair also the view from the restaurant was beautiful. 🤩 The staff are helpful prompt and we really enjoyed our time at murni’s. We weren’t expecting much from the chocolate cake btw but it tasted nice and homemade in a good way and they spiked it with some rum which was nice 👌 I would come back to this place!

My husband and I have been in Bali for five days, and this is the first time we’ve felt inspired to sit down and write a review. The freshness of the ingredients here is outstanding! the spices are incredibly flavorful, and the traditional Balinese food was simply amazing. We shared three main dishes, and every single one was excellent. If you’re looking for an authentic local gastronomical experience, this place is a must!

Apparently, the first restaurant in Ubud. Amazing location on three levels and certainly the Indonesian food on the menu was excellent. I recommend the duck or the chicken. Wine by the glass choice was very limited. The waitresses seemed a bit tired and less friendly than most Balinese restaurants. But still worth a visit!

Murni’s Warung holds such a special place in my heart. It’s one of Ubud’s oldest and most authentic restaurants — located just a short walk from the Blanco Museum. The view of the river from the lower levels is peaceful and calming, and the atmosphere feels like stepping into a piece of Bali’s history. The food is delicious, freshly made, and full of home-cooked flavour — you can really taste the care in every dish. I loved that everything is made from scratch and without MSG. The staff are kind and the whole place carries a feeling of warmth and tradition.

Everything we ordered was delicious. We didn’t expect much at first, but it really impressed us! The shrimp was fresh and springy, the spaghetti was great, and the cheese was rich and tasty. The service was excellent as well, , and they also have parking.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with live jazz music providing pleasant accompaniment to the meal. The staff are very attentive. The caprese salad is enhanced by the addition of lettuce and capers with an excellent dressing. The white pizza is disappointing, with a bland taste and sparse toppings, even though the dough is well made. The dessert is uninteresting, with the yoghurt cheese accompanying the torta caprese having an overly strong taste. The Australian Pinot Noir, served at the right temperature, went well with the meal.

Super friendly waiter and the Ambiente very nice. Starter was the mixed Seafood plate. We had the tuna steak and the Bucatini. Very delicious both meals. Definitely coming again for the another round.

A beautiful setting with incredible food. We had a lovely meal here during our stay in Ubud. The burrata and arancini starters were particular favourites. The restaurant was clean, food well presented and staff very attentive.

Sunday brunch was incredible. We had Dewa (I think is his name) serving us and he was so friendly. You can choose whatever you want from the brunch menu (we got A LOT more than what is in the photos) and it was all very high quality, presented beautifully. The pasta was the highlight for me. We were too full to try everything though, so maybe next time. Really nice atmosphere as well.

We loved this restaurant, we came back two nights in a row. The atmosphere is very nice with dim lighting. The service was very good and everyone was kind. I loved everything that we got to eat there. The drinks are unique and super yummy. The hummus is absolutely delicious as well as the poke bowl and the creme brûlée. Highly recommed.

Food here was really good, lucky enough to live a walking distance here. Came here once for breakfast and lunch. Ambience is great, it's convenient but has a quiet interior and all outdoor seating, you can work here although the wifi might be a bit slow. Great place for journaling and doing art. Pastry here is fresh and food is great quality ingredients. Prices are reasonable too and staff are friendly. So glad I can get my coffee and pastry at 7am! Tempeh bowl for lunch was just right - tempeh was marinated well and veggies were crunchy and fresh.

Ibu Susu in Ubud is an absolute must-visit! The food here is just incredible, bursting with flavour and beautifully presented—every dish we tried left us wanting more. Their cocktails are honestly the best in town (you have to try them all!), and the bar team really knows how to impress. The staff make every meal a delight with their next-level friendliness and warm hospitality. On both of my trips to Ubud, I found myself coming back to Ibu Susu at least four times each visit—that’s how good it is! I’m already looking forward to my next trip back. My absolute favourite is the Snapper Ceviche, which I still crave every day. Can’t recommend this place highly enough!

This is by far one of my favourite places in Ubud! If you're looking for delicious food, the perfect hand crafted cocktails, great atmosphere, topped off with fantastic service, look no further! I am still working my way through their menu, but so far have absolutely loved the chicken wings, steamed buns and dim sum, the red snapper carpaccio is unreal! We had the duck pancakes and the beef randang which were so yummy!!! The pandan crepe and chocolate brulé are the perfect desserts! Ketut and his super team of bartenders and mixologists bring out new flavour combinations with their monthly cocktail specials, plus a great happy hour makes it so easy to keep coming back!! Highly highly recommend!!

While the food and cocktails at IBU SUSU are phenomenal (bartender Agung made me personalized drinks I'm still craving!), it's the staff that truly makes this place exceptional. Indra was our guardian angel for the evening. He greeted us, helped with parking, and provided impeccable, warm service all night. Sambo and Srik were also wonderful. We were amazed that every single team member, from the waiters to the bartenders, had complete and total knowledge of the entire menu. Their expertise is astounding. A final note on the owner, Ketut—he was so involved we didn't even realize he was the owner until the end! That hands-on approach reflects in the incredible service culture here.

I love Ibu Susu. Laid back, great decor and lovely food. You won’t find a better selection of cocktails in Ubud. And I genuinely think the chocolate crème brûlée is one of the best desserts I’ve had - ever (and I’ve eaten in lots of great places around the world!). The staff are very attentive and the food is really tasty. Clearly a place that has had a lot of thought and love poured into it. As Ubud becomes increasingly commercialised, its lovely to see a place that still has an indie vibe!

Don’t understand how this place doesn’t have 5 stars to be honest. I don’t usually like to eat food I could easily get back home when I’m somewhere like Bali, but this place absolutely nails every single little detail. They have indoor, semi outdoor and outdoor area, you can choose with perfect for you. I went there at Nov 2025, and since it was cloudy I choose a semi outdoor. The food is delicious, I had indonesia menu and I loved it. They also have smoothy, healthy food, and indonesia food. The staff also are kind and helpfull, and they served the food quite fast. But, they don't have parking load, you have to come by walk or motorcycle.

Just a short step outside central Ubud, we discovered a magical little neighborhood that felt like another world… The soulful, spiritual side of Ubud I had been hoping to find. Tucked away in a quiet lane, Yellow Flower Café carries that same energy: a soulful vibe, warm and peaceful, with the feeling of a hidden gem. The food was outstanding! The poached eggs with vegetables „The Stack“ were a revelation, and the smoothie bowl was as beautiful as it was nourishing. Everything here feels crafted with care, for both body and soul.

Arcadia is a stunning riverside restaurant in Ubud, perfect for a romantic evening. The ambiance is serene, with the sound of the river creating such a relaxing atmosphere. We were welcomed with complimentary snacks, which was a lovely touch. The dishes were impressive, the burrata & prosciutto was fresh and delicate, the seared foie gras rich yet beautifully balanced, and the 12-day dry-aged duck had incredible depth of flavor. The herb-crusted lamb was tender and aromatic, while the dark chocolate lava cake made the perfect indulgent finale. Service was excellent, warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Overall, Arcadia offers not just delicious food, but a truly memorable dining experience by the river. Highly recommended.

Amazing restaurant. Very cool dark atmosphere and delicious food. We had the Pasture set menu with wine and cocktail pairing. Not cheap but worth it for a great experience. There was an amuse bouche between each of the five courses plus bread at the start so we ended up with 11 different courses in a way! Staff were all super friendly. Food and drink were delicious. Four different set menus to choose from including meat, pescatarian, vege, and vegan so something for everyone. Only thing that slightly brings it down is that the toilets don’t match the standard of the rest of the place. If they were brought up to match the restaurant it would be perfect.

Absolutely wonderful experience here. I used to come when the restaurant was called Bridges and the food and view and interiors are just as stunning if not even better now. The staff are super kind pleasant and welcoming. They gave us free amuse bouche and palate cleansers between courses which was nice. Everything tasted amazing the cocktails were top notch too. One of the best fine dining experiences in Ubud! Excellent service, beautiful atmosphere, and outstanding food and drinks. The restaurant is located under the Ubud bridge, offering a serene river view and calming vibes that make the experience even more special. The dishes may come in small portions, but every bite is flavorful and satisfying, definitely fills you up in the best way. Special thanks to Kak Mely and Kak Febry, who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. They helped us prepare a surprise birthday celebration and were extremely kind and helpful throughout the evening. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a romantic or special dining experience in Ubud.

Excellent ~ Beautiful culinary creations, reasonably priced for an upper scale experience. I got the 5 course sea based selection with the cocktail pairings. Most notable was the desert ~ an absolute work of art. The salmon was notable as well - cooked to perfection with crisp skin atop a tangy creamy sauce. Suggestion for the sets - I’d love a mocktail option! Wine and cocktails are great, but many people nowadays, myself included, would prefer to have well crafted drink concoctions along with our meal without the liquor :)

Honestly, the best place I tried in Bali! I spent 16 days on the island, and this was by far my favourite spot overall — from the service to the food and the beautiful surroundings, everything was perfect. I’d go back to Ubud just to eat here again!

This place was a pleasant surprise! I was one of the first to enter around 12:00pm. The weather wasn’t great but that didn’t stop the amazing service that I received. Staff was 10/10. Sun lounger was 150,000 rupiahs. It came with pool towel and welcome drink. This place is truly a hidden gem located in a busy area near the Monkey Forest. If you want time to relax at the pool this is the place to be. I really liked that they had a swim up bar. Also on the other side of the pool near the sun loungers they had stools & tables in the pool. I spent most of my time on the pool float. Every day club needs one of these! Highly recommend this place!

My 12yo and I were spending a day in Ubud, so I Googled places to swim and found Folk. For $5 you get a towel and access to the pool. This is a special venue. The food is cheap and so fresh - it’s a blessing to be able to swim, grab a cheap and tasty meal, and beer in a beautiful garden. (There is no need to pay for a pergola, the seating is comfortable and naturally shaded).

An amazing place, seemingly out of a dream. We stumbled on it by chance and felt immediately welcome by Made (the manager). The food and drinks were all delicious, and the service was both extremely nice and impressively professional (shoutout to Nadya!). We didn't have our swim suits so we came back the night after and had another great time at the swim up pool bar, entertained by the barman Suar (aka "The Machine"). We wish we could bring the whole place back home! Definitely a must-go.

This restaurant comes with a pool and served outdoor cinema in the night without minimum payment. Outdoor cinema is not always there every night, you need to check their instagram or website for the schedule. Unfortunately, there's a live music bar located in front of this restaurant which music is disturbing the movie. But i guess there's nothing they can do about that. Hope they can have more seating with better chair in front of the screen.

We loved this place so much we went back numerous times during our stay. And I tend to be picky. I imagine though if it was busy, it might be a different experience. Folk is an awesome oasis in the middle of Ubud. This was my experience. It has really good, interesting food, very attentive and friendly service and a lovely pool area with much more interesting cabanas than most of the beach clubs elsewhere. The ONLY downside is the cocktails. They're a bit too uniform, they need some layering of the elements to give them a little more interest. The bar has a few seats in the pool so you can swim up to the bar and sit in the pool. The small tapas that you get free when you pay for entry is really very delicious. All the food was delicious... And interesting. We were consistently impressed with everything we tried.

Absolutely loved our lunch at Milk and Madhu! The service was top-notch – we’re super picky vegetarians (no egg, no fish oil) and Captain Puspa and Novi were amazing, guiding us through the menu without batting an eye. She suggested the Summer Slice Pizza and OH MY GOD – best pizza EVER. I seriously still can’t get over how good it was. Big shoutout to the team for making a Milo Shake for us, even though it’s supposed to be just for kids. That was such a nice touch! We had an awesome lunch and can’t wait to come back soon. Highly recommend this place!

I came here on a Sunday to try their special brunch, and it was such a great way to start the day! I had the cheeseburger with a beer — absolutely delicious and satisfying. Then I couldn’t resist trying the dessert: an apple crumble pie with ice cream. It was simply amazing! I left with such positive vibes and a big smile. The atmosphere here is wonderful- friendly people, great music, and an overall lovely energy. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to:)

We came here based on reviews and had breakfast and dinner. Everything was great. They had breakfast promotions, and it was incredibly crowded. A line formed after we sat down, but it wasn't as crowded that evening, so we enjoyed our meal comfortably. Since we don't eat pork, they offered to swap our menu items for other items, which was very nice. We enjoyed the lasagna for dinner. The ice cream is safe, and the food is delicious. We recommend it.

Nice atmosphere in the morning and in the evening because inside gets too hot at noon (due to big glass windows). You can enjoy great cocktails (you pay one get two during the happy hour). I ordered grilled fish and salad -the portion was a bit small- but it was really delicious. Prices are a bit above average. Service was very fast.

The food taste was good and flavorful. Coffee and juice was good also. Caught by surprise for the croissant shaped bread. It was not flaky or light to be called croissants. It’s a brioche pretending to be a croissant.

Zest Ubud is a place where you instantly feel at home. The location is simply stunning – surrounded by greenery with a bright, open atmosphere that radiates both peace and inspiration. Every corner is warmly and thoughtfully designed, and you can feel the love for detail everywhere. The vegan menu is impressively diverse and truly delicious – every dish we tried was fresh, creative, and full of flavor. A must-try are the Spicy Corn Ribs and the fruit bowls – both are a perfect 10/10! What we especially loved is that plant-based food here isn’t treated as just an alternative, but as a full culinary experience in its own right. Within only four days we visited twice, simply because we enjoyed it so much – which says it all. The team also makes the experience even more special: the staff are extremely friendly, attentive, and create such a positive vibe. For us, Zest Ubud is definitely one of the absolute highlights in Bali!

Our absolute favorite place in Ubud! We’ve tried so many restaurants and cafés in Bali, sometimes 4–5 a day, but after visiting Zest we didn’t want to go anywhere else. The atmosphere is so unique — it can’t really be put into words, you just have to experience it. We came in the morning, during the day, in the evening, even late at night… and every time the energy felt so special. It’s incredibly cozy and makes you want to spend the whole day there, every day. The restaurant is fully vegan — which for me, as a non-vegan, after the third visit meant there was less excitement in trying new dishes — but still, everything is so unique and creative. And the selection of drinks is just amazing.

Some of the best vegan food in Ubud! The vibe is super chill here. Huge selection of great dishes and super amazing flavors. The food is fresh and designed with creativity. The staff and team here are some of the best. They are all super kind, very helpful, and full of smiles!! Great chill music, sometimes great live music. The views are also spectacular!! NOTE to the OWNER; please be aware of guests who sit around all day and take up space who are not ordering food or taking up entire tables with a laptop. It creates a low vibe and encourages a “work vibe”. Maybe make a laptop area only and tell guest who just sit around to kindly be on their way and let other people sit down. I love your concept and beautiful mission. Its a great place and I wish you the best in continued success!

Best vegan food we've had in Ubud. I love that they have so many gluten free options too. Our fave food were the sushi, cauliflower wings (AMAZING) and the pizza. Healthy choices, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere. This place is always crowded with tourists hanging out or working on laptops (in the afternoon). I think both times we visited, once for lunch and once for dinner, we were the only locals :)

Stunning venue, and one of the most beautiful set in a restaurant I’ve seen across the globe. The service was very polite but little bit slow, though that’s not an issue in Bali. The whole piece of life is slow. However, the menu is tasty with a really good selection of vegan food yet was really lacking in protein dishes. They pointed out protein boosts to their foods but really needed some more Tempe and tofu on the menu. Highly recommended though.

The best vegan food I’ve ever had, really, plenty of variations and everything was really tasty. I enjoyed the vibe there, live music, the only thing that could improve it’s the service - went there 4 times and every time it was slow, sometimes no waiter around for few minutes. But overall I would recommend:)

We had a wonderful experience! The environment was lovely, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Despite being outdoors, there were hardly any mosquitoes, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The food was fantastic! We ordered the scallop starter— the scallops were very fresh and paired perfectly with the sauce. My husband especially loved the smoked octopus. The most surprising and heartwarming moment was when we were about to ask for the bill — the staff surprised me with a birthday treat! Gorgeous space, beautiful concept, delicious dishes and lovely attentive service. I wasnt feeling well and the staff made me an herbal tea to go because I didn't look too well. Thank you very much, it was delicious and helped me sleep. We highly recommend the torched scallops. Beautiful!

The cocktails here are delicious and very interesting. We had amazing food here. They serve smaller portions of very delicious food - just how I like it :). We got the torched scallops to start and the prawn shashlik as main. The prawns were perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was lovely looking over their garden where they grow fresh herbs💚

This was a fantastic dinner to celebrate a special occasion. Try the pumpkin soup, it is one of the best soups I’ve ever had. I also enjoyed “The Wall” cocktail which was like an espresso martini but much better. The scallops were also excellent. The restaurant is beautiful and well suited for a special occasion or just an affordable fine dining experience.

We stayed at the Bisma Eight Villas for 5 nights during our honeymoon and dined at Embers for breakfast every day and for dinner once. The food was exceptional - delicious flakey pastries for breakfast, amazing avocado toast, everything was great. The dinner was really special - very elevated mediterranean food that was one of the best meals we had on our whole 2+ week trip. The staff were so attentive, so kind, so welcoming. The ambiance is beautiful! Loved it.

Service was amazing throughout the night - edy and lala looked after us and they were both so helpful and kind. Plant Bistro is the best plant-based restaurant in Bali. The food is exceptional. So full of flavour and beautifully presented. The restaurant is calm and cosy surrounded by nature The staff members are so warm and lovely.  I highly recommend. You will definitely come back more than once.

This place is AMAZING!!! Wow. I decided to try the tuna tartare for a starter, even though I’m very sceptical about vegan fish. I’ve never had a super realistic vegan fish, but I used to love tartare so decided to try it. It has absolutely blown my mind… this truly tastes just like raw tuna!! And it’s made from watermelon!! I know how crazy it sounds but you MUST try it. We also got the veal starter which was amazing😋. For mains we got the pollo and tenderloin- the texture of the steak wasn’t realistic to be honest, but it was still good, and the dish as a whole was fabulous. The pollo dish was nice! Finally we got macarons and tiramisu. Delicious! Overall I rate this place a 10/10 and will return to try more items from the huge menu. The menu is original with options for people who like faux meat or just vegetables. The waiters were lovely and efficient and the decor is incredibly beautiful. A couple at the table next to us were telling the waiter that they’re not vegan and couldn’t believe how delicious vegan food could be. Try this restaurant whether you’re vegan or eat meat!🩷

Cannot fault this place. Plant Bistro is an absolute standout! The ambience, the staff and the food all come together so well. We come back every time we’re in Bali and usually end up here daily because the menu is that good. Brekky, lunch and dinner are all consistently delicious, with plenty of sweet and savoury choices. It’s also a great spot to eat, read, check your emails or catch up with friends. Everything about this place is 10/10, easily the best vegan restaurant we’ve dined at so far. Prices are on the higher side compared to a warung but it’s still worth visiting at least once to experience how good the vegan food is. It’s honestly exceptional and the staff and decor match that too, so friendly and such a picturesque environment to enjoy world class vegan food.

We just found this place while trying to escape from the busier Ubud center, and we absolutely loved everything about it. We only had some snacks, some drinks, a pistachio croissant for me, and a doughnut for my partner and everything was amazing. The space feels sacred, calm, refreshing, and so beautiful compared to the chaos of Ubud. We were also amazed by all the thoughtful details in the restaurant. The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and attentive. A true hidden gem!

We loved the gelato here and the interiors were stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed the view and the vibe of the place. We took our time with the gelato and fizzy water just chatting the day away and taking in the beauty of the plants 🌱 and insects 🐜 would totally recommend this place to anyone who happens to be in the area also worth a detour if you’re looking for plant based food with great views and interiors

One of my favourite places in Ubud. The vegan smoked salmon is incredible. I get that each time I go! This time I also tried the pumpkin gnocchi and it was so delicious. I’ve loved everything I’ve had there. Such a beautiful space, too!

I’ve been here a few times and the food is NEXT LEVEL!! Their plant based food is so creative, delicious and beautifully presented. Some of my favorites— the pesto lasagna, plant toona and avocado sushi roll and the almond croissant. Definitely recommend for high end plant based food. Only suggestion we have for the restaurant is to change the music. They like to play the same trendy pop crap playlist that you hear around town and it could be so much more vibey and more enjoyable if the music was better. The restaurant atmosphere and the jungle view is so beautiful.. it deserves good music :) but highly highly recommend this place!! It’s a must visit. The staff are really lovely also! 💗

Good plant-based clean soulful food in a relaxed, hippy-vibe garden setting. The buffet food can be lukewarm or cooled down, but it’s still rich in taste and flavour. Their fresh juices def are a must-try! When I arrived mid-afternoon, there were no other customers, which made it hard to get a sense of the vibe among the staff — though later, they turned out to be helpful and friendly. I love the concept of trust: you eat what you like and leave your contribution in designated “money bottles”.

Love this place, very homey and lovely. The food is delicious homemade cooking with many vegetarian/vegan options from tempeh/tofu, red beans, rich variety of vegetables. Sometimes you will find unique balinese vegetables like papaya leaf with torch ginger flower. A must try while being in Bali. I mean, you can get pizza easy everywhere, but authentic homemade balinese food? Not everywhere. I recommend to give tips here because the price is very cheap, so much love and effort put in here to spread love to others. I believe you can see the value. Much kindness ✨

This place is something different in the middle of Ubud and you’ll notice the moment you step in. If you’re lucky enough you’ll get to meet Tony, a very special character that makes very good ginger tea with other spices . He’s says that drink is gonna make you immortal!

It was super quiet and we nearly didn’t go but so glad we did. The food was delish! we got the dips (the herbed was divine), halloumi (kinda basic but still nice) and the eggplant (soooo good) They have great wines as well which is kinda harder in Bali. The service is a bit slow is the only thing but I guess not rushed? Would definitely recommend for a girl dinner or date 😁

There is no flaw in Bacari. Undeniably the most cool & chic place in Ubud. Exceptional wines and especially unique cocktails, that make you question the pop beverages that you so much enjoy on a regular. Out of small plates, chicken liver pate is my most favorite, sourdough and buratta thingy is as well great. The whole menu is well thought of and there are options for any preference. Ambiance is sexy, dimmed and the music fits the venue perfectly. No cringy tracks. Great for those who are looking for a spot for a first date or a stylish girl get–together. The most important thing about this place, is from the moment you enter it, you know it was created by someone with deep knowledge and passion. Almost.. obsession ? P.S. Great painting, would steal.

Galle Club in Ubud is an absolute delight! The food here is a beautiful fusion of Sri Lankan and Indian flavors — perfectly balanced, rich, and full of depth. The presentation was lovely and the atmosphere warm and welcoming — a great mix of cozy and vibrant. The staff were so friendly and made the whole experience even better. It was my first-ever introduction to Sri Lankan food, and I’m so glad it happened here at GALLE Club! The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor and beautifully presented. I came with a friend who said Sri Lanka is her favorite destination, and she mentioned that the place and ambiance truly capture the essence of being there. The whole experience left such a great impression on me that I’ve already been telling people about it offline! Definitely a memorable and authentic Sri Lankan dining experience in Bali.

Did a little research before arriving in ubud and stumbled across this place online. I instantly knew I had to visit as I really loved travelling Sri Lanka, especially Galle. I went for lunch today and loved the design and details of the place, the food was great and the berry smash drink was a taste explosion! The owner was very friendly, we had a lovely chat about Sri Lanka and he told me the secret to making the berry smash drink as well as giving a complimentary iced coffee. Hope to go for dinner next time I’m in ubud. 🥰

I didn’t realise how good the dining could be in Ubud until coming here. I had the hopper thali and it was delicious! So was the pandan brulee, so unique. I appreciate the twist on dishes. The atmosphere was relaxed and really made me feel like I was in a beautiful elegant restaurant in Sri Lanka. I’m 100% coming back.

My husband and I went for a dinner date, and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The food was the best food we ever had, we actually didn’t know what to expect and was just blown away by the quality of food, service and vibes of this restaurant. Food, location and ambience are great. Awesome view overlooking the river and underneath the Campuhan foot bridge. We tried the meat lover, duck legs, gindara fish, spinach ravioli and a number of desserts. Coffee wasn't bad either. Overall a bit pricey though.

This shop, restaurant and bar is in a fantastic setting on the edge of the main road in Ubud town centre. It has great views across the bridge and the wilds of the forest covered hillside. The food was spectacular. Presented brilliantly, packed with freshness and flavours and utterly delicious. There were also complimentary palate cleansers between courses. The staff were wonderfully attentive and described the ingredients and flavours of each dish as it was served. This isn't something I'd say fits the budget of your average backpacker however for those without a budget, expect top notch service and food for approx. £50 for a pair (Inc. drinks).

Tonight we had an exquisite dinner at Bridges in Ubud. The surrounds were breathtaking, enchanting, mystical and magical. We arrived and had a drink at the bar, then chaperoned upstairs once our table was available. Our waiter, Luis was a credit to the Balinese hospitality industry, college and the Bridges establishment, he has an infectious smile, a passion for excellence in dining, customer service and true to his culture and beliefs. His explanation of our chosen meals when brought to our table was unique and welcomed, it was lovely to have our meals explained to us, which were beautifully presented and were divine in taste. To the Aussie owner from Byron Bay, your venue, service, menu and presentation is of superior standard and a credit to yourself and staff....extremely happy diners from Oz, we will return :-)

A very good restaurant near to gastronomic one. The team is very very good and adorable. Every time smiling.the main course are very excellent and the dressing is very beautiful. You will enjoy the jungle view and the sound of river accompanied by very relaxing music. and smiley. Price are a little bit high comparing to other restaurant, but accessible for European.

Tried the tasting menu and all was good and tasty, except for the meat main dish so that is why rating is 4 stars. We complained about the meat and were offered to try again with meat re-done, but we were full already and got a discount as an apology instead. Otherwise a very nice place to have dinner at. Enjoyed the view and the experience. The place does feel a bit touristy, but it is cosy even though the restaurant is quite large. There is a bit of noise of the bridge but nothing that bothered us too much. Pleasent experience overall.

Upscale restaurant in Ubud. The plating and presentation is fantastic. Food quality is good, but not outstanding. Highly recommend the zucchini blossoms. Drinks are good too. If you are looking for something reasonable priced that feels upscale I would try this.

Got suggested to come here by the locals for having the best bbq pork ribs. The food instantly smells good the moment we got out of the car. We ordered the pork ribs, skewers, mi goreng vegetarian, chicken soup and fried banana. The food were overall good. My wife and I thought it would make a good daily hangout food spot. The seasoning and the sauce were great. However, we had to knock it down a point because the pork quality wasn’t as good. Also, the pork were on the overcooked side. Come here for the flavor but don’t expect quality.

The pork ribs only have one size which is too much for a solo dinner. I decided to order the pork skewers instead which is good. It’s flavor is almost the same as how we do it back home so it’s a good reminder of Filipino food. The pineapple with the pork was weird though.

My tour driver recommended this restaurant as this is the original Naughty Nuri’s, those at Seminyak and others which display make pink cute piglets shatter around the frontage, that are the franchise. I prefer franchise Naughty Nuri because they’re grilled pork ribs is the best in Bali! You have give the same sauce but other dishes the franchise add in is excellent match. So this restaurant have smoke problem, the BBQ is right infront the restaurant causing the wind that your staff fan towards the restaurant and I just showered but I smell bad after dinner. All staffs are very nice and friendly. I hope my next trip back, you could have a better BBQ area with no smoke fan into restaurant. Suggest also add suckling pig and roasted pork crispy skin. We had a great time dining at Naughty Nuri’s in Ubud — the place has a rustic, laid-back vibe that feels more like a local warung than a polished restaurant, which adds to its charm. The pork ribs were the highlight: well-seasoned and flavorful, though they could have been a touch more tender to truly fall off the bone. The sambal sauce was excellent — spicy with a satisfying kick that really elevates the meal. We also tried the beef burger, which was massive and pretty decent overall. There's a few spots that specialise in it but one of the most acclaimed is the OG location of Naughty Nuri's in Ubud, a short drive away from the town centre. You'll know you're in the right spot when you see clouds of BBQ smoke filling up the air on the street-side. It's a small Warung but it gets crowded pretty quickly as the sun sets. Get the pork spare ribs. That's what they're known for, and it's pretty bloody good. And don't bother with anything else on the menu LOL, we tried a few but the pork spare ribs definitely hit the best. Just get a few more servings of it if you're hungry. Only $15 AUD for a full rack!

I did visit this place 2 years agai and came back again cause the rib was very impressive 👍🔥 same as my first visit, I brought some friends to try the ribs and haha they all loved it like 2 years ago !!! Worth it to try again even the place is very far from my hotel !! Recommend the ribs with beer, Yummmm!

So good we went there early before it gets busy, Nasi goreng was delicious, rib was perfect, it was a shame we couldn’t try bbq pork as we were full 🥲 shouldn’t have drank beer so we could have pork 😏

I loved it overall but certain things need improvement. 😇 I absolutely loved Pelmeni dumplings with jackfruit&mushroom which came with sour cream and butter sauce! 10/10 but i was dissappointed by the stirloin steak i ordered :( first one came completely cold and when i told the waitress it was cold, she immediately took action and they served me another one, second time the food was served warm but the meat was not as juicy as i was expecting but overall the staff was very welcoming, they seemed relaxed and friendly. Also the place has a cozy vibe, especially in the evening! They have a lot of different options to eat&drink. Thank you!

Excellent spot for any time of day. Their menu is so wide ranging that no matter what you are craving they probably are serving it. Never had a bad meal here over our month long stay in Ubud. Service is great. They bring the card reader to you when you check out if paying by card.

I loved my experience at KAFE. The staff were very polite and welcoming. I enjoyed my tandoori chicken wrap and lemon, ginger and honey elixer. They have good wifi and two floors of seating, I was able to get a 5 hour work session done peacefully. Highly recommend the spot.

I love Kafe! I would come almost every morning during my stay in Ubud and sit on the cushions and drink matcha and read a book. I will definitely miss here but excited to come back when I'm ever in Ubud again. Highly recommend!

This is my favourite cafe in Ubud. It consistently serves good meals in an unpretentious setting. The vibe is very down to earth. The staff are attentive and relaxed. I never feel a trip to Ubud is complete until I’ve eaten here.

Stopped by KAFE on Jalan Hanoman ☕ Cozy atmosphere and really good coffee, simple, consistent, and always satisfying. A nice spot to take a break while exploring Ubud’s busy center.

A vegan heaven ✨ If I had 10 stars, I'd put them. The food? Mind-blowing. The coffee? First of all, I don't drink regular coffee. And I found here decaf 😭 And it was beyond good. One of the best quality coffees I've ever had. The restaurant? Beautiful. And most of all, quiet. With clients that respect each other. I can't stand anymore all these tourists doing whatever they want such as they are in their living room. And the variety of foods, drinks, sweets? Large. Alchemy was a very, very, very pleasant surprise 🙏💖 (And yes, it's a little bit expensive, but almost same prices you can find in other places with not such quality and variety. It's your choice after all) ☺️

Alchemy is always a reliable choice, whether for tea, lunch, or dinner – even their yoga studio is amazing. I especially love their herbal tea and always buy a pack to take home. This time I tried the Capricciosa pizza for the first time, but it was too salty for my taste. Not sure if that was intentional, as I usually love Alchemy’s food for being simple and mild in flavor.

I had the green curry which was comforting, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. You can tell they use super fresh ingredients. The matcha was smooth, earthy, and no bitterness at all, just the right balance. And the coffee? Rich, aromatic, and satisfying, honestly one of the best cups I’ve had in Bali. The atmosphere is also amazing, calm, open, and beautifully designed, with lovely staff!. Whether you’re vegan, health-conscious, or just looking for genuinely delicious food, Alchemy is a gem.

(Almost) the perfect vegan paradise No doubt my no. 1 place for mindful vegan food in Ubud Only downside for me was the restaurant’s atmosphere: due to their suboptimal interior design, it was just seemed super hectic all the time

We came here for lunch & dinner and I think it’s an OK place. 1st time we hadn’t done enough research on Ubud vegan fold and the 2nd time we thought give it a chance. It’s a bit too focussed on wellbeing and not on the food creativity on mains. The seats are very uncomfortable. We had pesto pasta and a shawarma wrap for lunch, the other time a laksa “soup” and a burger for dinner. I wouldn’t recommend coming here.

Alchemy has been my living room while staying in Ubud. As much as I tried or wanted to explore other places, I always come back here because it just feels like home & the staff, menu, variety and experience is just amazing! Highly recommend the salad, green waffle, ice cream and breakfast bar!

I really enjoyed my visit to Sweet Orange Warung. It’s a super cozy restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and a beautiful location right in the rice fields. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I ordered the satay with red rice, which was delicious and nicely presented. The portion could have been a bit larger, but the flavors more than made up for it. The prices are also very reasonable, making it great value for money. Overall, Sweet Orange Warung is a charming spot with tasty food, kind staff, and a stunning setting — definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Sweet Orange Warung in the rice fields of Ubud is a charming place to pause and refresh after a walk. I’ve been here a few times before and always loved the unique setting with the fun coconut faces and beautiful rice field scenery. On this visit, I felt the service wasn’t quite as warm as in the past, which was a little disappointing as I had brought my family to share the experience. Still, the atmosphere is special, and it remains a lovely stop for anyone wanting to enjoy the views and relax in the middle of nature

What a sweet little warung! This place is about a 10 minute walk off the main road by Ubud Palace, and the path can be tricky to find, but it truly transported us to another world. It was crazy to think we were in the heart of Ubud among the peaceful rice fields and local homes. The walk also featured some personalized pavers, which were so nice to read. The food/smoothies were great, and the vibe was very peaceful.

Oh my god!!! This place is AMAZING, sorrounded by green fields and palms. I haven't sleep there but i just had lunch and the food was really good as well, all served wirh fresh vegetables from the garden. I would reccomend it also if you want to stop just for a drink, i had the best fresh juice ever (mango, dragon fruit and mint)!!! It's an escape from the noise of the city!!! Highly reccomend it!!

The location of this restaurant is really frustrating. I searched for an hour and a half according to the map and couldn't find the right way around. They changed the address but the map didn't change it. This is really bad, especially when I was almost exhausted. I was very unhappy looking for it. Later, I contacted the staff through Whatsapp but no one came to pick me up. I searched for more than 40 minutes according to their description and finally found it when it was completely dark. The dishes were not as amazing as the online reviews said. It's not because I was unhappy because I searched for a long time, but because the taste was really average and the price was high. Overall, it didn't feel worth it. Don't trusted easy those internet stuffs

We stopped here for a few drinks during the Orange walk. Very nice restaurant with variety of juices. We did not have any food but what we saw passing by looked really good. Staff friendly, a tad slow. The cakes the advertised were all sold out, so dont get your hopes up if you visit in the afternoon (LOL) Review needs info on the rooms, which Incant provide, so not rated.

The restaurant was awesome - great Indonesian food in a picturesque rice field setting, with lots quirky furnishings and lots of friendly resident cats. Since it's entirely outdoors and in an agricultural area, you'll need to keep an eye on your food and shoo away flies frequently but I still appreciated the relaxing sunset views close to, but so far removed from, the hustle and bustle of Ubud center. The walk from the main street in Ubud does start out a little strange through alleyways and a makeshift bamboo bridge, but push through and it quickly opens up to rice fields, farms, and home stays, following a path that will eventually be paved by white stones marked by past tourists (I'm assuming).

THE BEST. The service here was the best service I’ve ever had. The guy who served our table was a true gentleman, this man deserves a pay rise explaining all the different types of meat, and letting us try the wine before we got the bottle. The food itself was to die for. Steak cooked to absolute perfection, veggies incredible and chips so crunchy and tasty. The wine was perfectly chilled and tasted delicious. Honestly if you’re in UBUD and want to go to a fancy restaurant with fantastic service and tasty food this is your place.

I had dinner at Batubara Wood Fire and was pleasantly surprised! At first glance, the place looks like a regular Balinese restaurant, nothing too flashy, but once inside it really gives off a great vibe. The staff were incredibly friendly and approachable, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food was outstanding — full of flavor and beautifully cooked. They specialize in steaks, and I loved that they actually bring the cuts to your table so you can choose exactly what you want before it’s prepared. Such a nice touch! While it’s not the cheapest option in town, the quality of the food and service makes it absolutely worth it. I left completely satisfied and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Bali.

The food was generally good. The steak and wild salmon were excellent cuts of protein. The deep fried eggplant with feta was delicious. The calamari was so so and the grilled vegetables were heavy in oil. The creme brûlée wasn’t good at all. The service wasn’t great because they forgot to punch in our order. We were the second table of the night but recieved our food after the 8th table. However, they did give us the dessert for free. As for the atmosphere. A bit dingy for my liking given the price range.

We found this restaurant to be overrated. We arrived at 5:30pm and were only the second table seated. The staff introduced the specials and steaks, and we placed our order shortly after. However, we ended up waiting a long time for our starter — and even longer for our main course. To our frustration, guests who arrived after us were served before us. We flagged the issue to the staff, but no immediate action was taken. When our main courses finally arrived, one of the staff explained that our order wasn’t printed due to a “printer issue” — a frustrating excuse considering we were among the first customers and there were staff standing around chatting. To be fair, the steak and salmon were cooked beautifully. But the side dishes were underwhelming, and the dessert was just average. Prices were also on the higher side. While they did offer a complimentary dessert as part of service recovery, it didn’t quite make up for the unpleasant experience. Unfortunately, we left disappointed and wouldn’t rush to return.

Make a reservation ahead, and if they have space open sooner they will let you know! The group tried two different cuts of steak and it was prepared great and table side. The other dishes we ordered were also delicious. The staff was excellent as well.

Steak was out of this world. So tender and flavourful. staff were so friendly. Initially I arrived and there were no tables so I waited at the bar with the cocktail special which was super tasty. Then a waiter brought me to my table (only wait 5 mins). I ordered the Indonesian Wagyu fillet which was incredible. They cook the steak in front of you. I had the truffle mash and asparagus which accompanied the steak really well. My only cons were that the asparagus portion was really small and that the dulce de leche cheesecake wasn’t great - the crumb tasted like cheap digestive biscuits. The white sangria was fantastic too. I wasn’t a huge fan of the grilled calamari either.

This is insane. We got here by accident, after waiting at another place too long for the waiter to take our order, at lunch. There was no waiting line at this time and we got at a small cozy table in this marvelous place. The troubles started when the food came, because we almost fought over the lunch. Yes, it was that good! It felt like we could taste the chef's love put in preparing the dishes. This place is a must for everybody visiting Bali, no question about it. Thank you for this divine experience!

We had such a wonderful experience at Sun Sun Warung! The food was incredibly delicious — every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with love and fresh ingredients. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, always smiling and making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is really lovely too – cozy, relaxed, and with a beautiful Balinese touch that makes you feel right at home. We had to wait around 15 minutes for a table because the restaurant was quite busy, but it was absolutely worth it. If you don’t like waiting, I’d recommend making a reservation in advance. The prices are unbelievably good for the quality you get – honestly, the food could easily cost much more. Overall, we couldn’t have been happier. Great food, wonderful people, and a beautiful place – a must-visit in Bali!

Highly recommended. Best food we had in Bali at really affordable prices. The ambience is the place is exactly what you would imagine Bali to be. I had the Nasi campur and loved the fact that it had a little bite of everything! My husband had the duck with bbq sauce and he literally wanted to lick the plate. This place is awesome.

The food, service and atmosphere was everything we could have hoped for in experiencing Bali and Balinesian cuisine. Sun Sun Warung is a hidden gem. Unassuming from the exterior but the setting was a quiet haven. Our server, Lili, couldn’t be more helpful, made us feel welcomed and at home here. The food was okay — for my taste, it wasn’t bad but not particularly delicious either. My boyfriend actually quite liked it. Two of the dishes came out a bit cold, and I personally prefer my food to be hot. The crispy duck with rice was served hot though.

Sun Sun exceeded my expectations! The grilled duck was juicy with perfectly crisp skin, and the coconut pancakes were heavenly. Friendly service and a relaxed vibe. Highly recommend!

Had dinner here on my first night in Ubud, and it was probably the best food I had during my stay there. I ordered the moringa curry. I’m no vegetarian, but it sounded exotic and turned out absolutely delicious. The portion wasn’t huge, yet with the extra rice it worked out fine. A touch more spice would have been welcome, but it was still refreshing, tasty, and very different from anything else I’ve had in Indonesia. The space is lovely, with a beautiful, laid-back inner terrace. And compared to the Ubud average, it’s some of the best value for money I found.

Burus has such a lovely Balinese setup and quickly became one of my favorite spots in Ubud. I’ve visited twice during my stay—once for coffee and once for dinner. They have a small seating area by the road that’s perfect for a casual coffee, and a cozy garden area inside with a beautiful Balinese vibe, ideal for lunch or dinner. In close proximity to Ubud palace. The service is impeccable, and the food is really good too. I absolutely loved this place and will definitely be visiting again

So glad we chose this place for our final Ubud dinner. Walk through the compound to a lovely , atmospheric setting at the back. Authentic, tasty Indonesian food. We love this type of local eating. The Ketoprak was delicious and the coconut ice cream was exceptional. We will back on our next trip to Ubud.

I had an amazing vegan dish called Ketoprak. Its originally vegetarian but the very helpful And friendly staff quicky offered to change egg to tempeh And shrimp crackers to bean crackers. The satay was so tasty And all the ingredients fresh And well seasoned. The atmosphere is also so cozy And i loved sitting on the ground on pillows. 🌸

An exemplary display of fine degustation! Service was impeccable and tailored; from being greeted at the outdoor entrance to printing out menus with our names on it and even giving us a handwritten card with both our names. Dessert was ridiculously thought out, thanks for the incredible experience.

One of the best restaurants I've been to in a while. The tasting menu was a perfect way to discover Indonesian cuisine cooked at a Michelin level. An amazing blend of western and Indonesian cooking techniques. I really appreciated the way the dishes were brought and presented. Each dish is carefully thought out, beautiful and delicious. The service was professional, warm and the attention to detail was phenomenal. The waitstaff were kind enough to kindly offer to call a taxi after the meal. Again, the attention to detail was really appreciated.

To start with the positive, the food was mostly pretty on point and the service was great. Now, for that price point, there was a number of problems: 1. One of dish served (wing bean) was litterally uneatable in one of the plates (extremely hard, impossible to cut through). We were offered a replacement - ok 2. The lobster, same thing, extremely bland and extremely tough to cut through. 3. Idk what is going in the kitchen but we could hear somebody coughing and sneezing loudly in there the whole night (we sat there for 4h+). Very disturbing from such a place... and to add to that there was obviously a young child as well there in the kitchen or some back room, as we repeatedly heard it screaming... I mean seriously ? 4. Cocktail prepared upon request was a huge miss. Tasted like a cheap bar cocktail but in a fancy glass. I mean, Jose Cuervo as liquor to pair with fine dining, really ? Now looking through the Google review for the restaurant, a lot of them (recent) are obviously FAKE. Have things gone downhill so far for this place that they have to go down this path ?... Anyways. For that price point, go somewhere else in Ubud unless they manage to get their things together.

Fine dining that does not disappoint. Presentation is impressive and the dishes are unique. Wine list could be improved, but the cocktail pairing was excellent and overall a memorable experience.

Best experience in a Balinese restaurant I've had. Boy talk about deliciousness & service. I took the 9 course dinner which took me 3 hours to finish. This place deserves a Michelin star, very romantic and waiters know about the food, not to mention the impeccable service they provide. The sue chef came to my table to explain the first course, then the head chef also made a visit to make sure I'm satisfied. For my dessert the pastry chef also came by. Give it a try I'm sure you won't regret it.

An evening at Blanco Par Mandif was a culinary odyssey! Chef Mandif M. Warokka's innovative Indonesian cuisine is nothing short of spectacular, the dinner was a feast for the senses. It began with a unique touch – the handwashing ceremony. Instead of the conventional warm towel, they elevate this routine into a refined ritual 💅, setting the tone for the exceptional evening ahead. We tried the tasting menu. You can see that each dish was a testament to the chef's meticulous craftsmanship and dedication to culinary excellence. But 2 standout stars are the "14 Days Aged Smoked Duck Breast" and the "Signature Getug 6.0 A MUST TRY!!!! The service at Blanco Par Mandif was nothing short of exceptional. The attention to detail, from the timing of each course to the knowledge of the menu, was nothing short of phenomenal. The seamless orchestration of the evening's proceedings added to the overall charm of the dining experience. For anyone seeking the pinnacle of progressive Indonesian dining, Blanco Par Mandif is a must-visit destination 👏👏👏👏

This Italian restaurant was overall an average experience. We ordered a pizza and a pasta, and both were somewhere between average and good - nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. The service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. The place was full of tourists, but also a fair number of Italians, and from what I heard around, most seemed to agree that the food was about average. The big advantage here is the location, which is excellent and makes the restaurant convenient if you are nearby.

The pizza was absolutely delicious — perfect dough and high-quality ingredients. We didn’t make a reservation but still got a table. The staff clearly mentioned we could sit for about an hour and a half, which was more than enough. There’s also a valet service for a small fee, which really helps keep the area from getting crowded. Definitely coming back next time!

First of all, it’s superrr noisy at the restaurant, since it’s located in-front of the main road, the material of the restaurant doesn’t absorb sound at all. Felt terrible and cannot enjoy a conversation with my family. Overall food was nice. I like the Carbonara, Spaghetti Neri Bottarga and the Salmon was good. Pizza was nice. But 1 thing, this is an Italian restaurant right, why does your cappuccino tasted terrible??? Why so large and what was that much of a milk for? I can’t taste the coffee and is not cheap either. Fix your coffee please😭

Just when I was about to give up, L’Osteria appeared, a small glow in the dark, with a table for two waiting as if it had been saved for us. From the moment we sat down, the aroma of fresh pizza dough and wood fire wrapped around us. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles, not rushed, not forced, just simple kindness that felt rare and real. The food arrived hot and full of flavor, every bite reminding me that good things often come unplanned. That night, in the soft sound of rain and laughter, L’Osteria became more than a restaurant. It was a small shelter, a moment of warmth in the heart of Ubud. A true experience, simple, beautiful, and one I will not forget. Special thanks to Cila who served us.

My favorite pizza place in Ubud! I went there a few days ago and ordered their quatro formaggi pizza - loved it! Also, not forget to mention that their interior design is top notch! Love the ambiance and the atmosphere as well.

I’m not sure the burrata pizza was meant to be most raw/fresh ingredients but there was certainly a slap dash feeling to the way it was assembled. It was challenging to share and was quickly soggy from the burrata. I’ve had this combo before elsewhere and don’t remember it being so detrimental to the pizza bread. I don’t know. Reviews mainly cover the pizza, but the risotto was the star here. Maybe don’t just order the pizza because they have a pizza oven and the server tears our pizza with his gloved hands instead of cutting it like we asked. Try the pasta too. Heck, maybe skip the pizza entirely.

Their pizza is definitely a MUST try! It’s fresh, chewy and really good! We got another pizza to try! There is a pasta which is very cheesy, you might want to consider ordering this if you don’t like cheese. Even as a lover for cheese I wouldn’t recommend this dish. Beef as you can see portions are thinly sliced and it was tasteless. Potatoes were tasteless too! Overall as the name says it, if you want good pizzas come here!

Beautiful experience. A truly, small hidden gem in a quite Side road. The burger were awesome and we loved everything about it. Also the drinks were top notch. Thanks for this perfect meal. The staff was also super friendly and the prices low for what you get.

We went twice in 2 days, once for lunch and once for dinner. The food was awesome, never saw a burger with an avocado bun :) the BBQ jackfruit was delicious in the burger. The Avocado & Feta toast is also a great dish on their menu. We also shared some tortilla chips with guacamole.

One of the highlights of my trip was discovering this little eatery with food so good it kept me coming back for more. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared, but the real star for me was the tempeh — an absolute must-try! Perfectly cooked with a golden crisp on the outside and that rich, nutty flavor inside, it was pure comfort on a plate. I’ve always loved tempeh, but tasting it here felt like rediscovering it all over again. Paired with the fresh local ingredients and the warm, welcoming atmosphere, it turned a simple meal into one of those travel memories you carry with you long after the trip ends.

Got the mix grill and the salmon full breakfest delivered. It was on the pricy side but when I tasted it I understood why. All the meats were done superbly. Fresh hot pitta bread too. Only thing were the sad fries that can be improved. Vety fast service, delivery and superb comunication skills. Also the thank you note was a very nice touch. I will be a loyal customer from now on and will keep coming back. THANK YOU.

We had several meals from Avocado Warung and were always so happy! Food was amazing with lots of best avocado. Very clean. Everyone was so kind. But we could not eat there, it was really hot in the Warung. They have one table outside. Would definitly recommend!
