Grand Puncak Sari is a strong choice if you want amazing natural scenery together with a generous buffet option. For the best experience, try visiting in the morning or before noon when views are clearer and crowds are thinner. I give it 5 stars for its beauty, comfort, price value and facilities such as a musholla are available, which is helpful, just noting a few small improvements that could make it even better.

We went ala carte because we weren’t too hungry, but it did look good. Satay was very nice and so was the nasi goreng. If you’re Malaysian, spice level 3 should be your minimum (take that how you will). Two negatives. I don’t think they stop people from smoking indoor. This guy got through two of them sitting near us. Also there were lots of flies which are apparently just part of life in the area.

My husband and I ordered chicken mushroom steak, the chicken too dried (they fried too dried) so a bit tough. The waitress also not really well served, saw us but they not quick greets us to get the table or assist us. The view awesome ! Thats the reason why we came here many times !

Amazing views, the venue is worth it just for this. The food they serve can be hit and miss. Guess it depends on your taste. Loved the soup and some of local mains. The black rice pudding and fried bananas were not as well received though. Get dessert elsewhere in my opinion. Unless you're happy with some fruit. The buffet was a bit pricey compared to the rest of Bali cuisine but at less than USD $15 (200k IDR), still very affordable.

We went to see the sunrise and black lava at Mount Batur and had our brunch at Montana Cafe afterward. The fruit juices were refreshing, though slightly too sweet for our liking. The fries were well-fried—crispy and satisfying—and the mayonnaise that came with them was especially good. The big breakfast was served on a large plate and the food quality was quite impressive. The tuna sourdough sandwich was interesting, but the bread was a bit too hard, which made it difficult to bite through. The tom yum fried pasta looked visually appealing, but it wasn’t particularly memorable and was already a bit cold when it arrived. What really stood out, though, were the cakes. Both the burnt cheesecake and the lotus caramel cheesecake were delicious—rich, smooth, and full of flavour. The cafe also has a lovely view. It’s bright and breezy, making it a pleasant and relaxing place to sit and unwind.

Such a wonderful location! The cafe is really aesthetic with Mount batur view. We tried the French toast, avo smash. Food here is worth the price. Me and my husband went there for our first meal stop and we had the most amazing experience there. Our phones battery were getting low and I asked the staff if i could charge my phone there, and they were so nice to help me find the right cable for our phones and charged our phones on their counter. They were so so nice, thank you so much to all the staffs for making our experience memorable. The cafe's food was okay, Matcha latte 7/10 and ice latte 8/10. Thank you so much to those ladies who helped us charge our phones and gave the best customer service when we were there. Definitely will come back again! <3

Wonderful location, a lot of parking space and they also provide valet service. At the 2nd floor got some place for nice photoshoots too. The waiters are friendly enough to offer us to take photos. And they are informative about the menu. Overall this is a quite good place to enjoy the cold breeze and beautiful mountain scenery in kintamani.

One of the best cafes in Kintamani, hands down! It stands tall over three floors right infront of Mount Batur. All the floors are very spacious and there is both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements available. We didn't have to wait much to get a table outdoor, with clear views of the volcanic mountain. Quality of food / drinks is simply top notch. No complaints, and highly recommended for all groups

Montana Del Cafe is one of those places where the view does most of the talking — perched high above the hills with sweeping vistas of Bali’s lush greenery and misty mountains. The scenery alone makes it worth the stop, especially if you’re into photography or just want that perfect travel shot. Every angle seems picture-ready, from the airy seating decks to the hanging nests and glass platforms that frame the landscape beautifully. As for the food, it’s decent though not particularly memorable — the kind you enjoy while your eyes stay glued to the horizon. The menu covers the usual café fare and coffee options, all serviceable but clearly secondary to the atmosphere. Still, Montana Del Cafe delivers on what it promises: a scenic, relaxing spot to unwind, sip a latte, and take in one of Bali’s most photogenic panoramas.

Amazing place — so beautiful and peaceful. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and there were plenty of tables. We enjoyed a great cup of coffee and had a wonderful time. The place has such a calm and relaxing energy. We left with happy hearts and warm memories.

Come here for the Volcano view only!! Though I suspect there are other restaurants with the same view. This place offered a local or Indian buffet lunch. Food was decent. The Indonesian satay was amazing. Service is mostly self service but they seemed ok. Just not as clean as you'd expect for such a location. Unfortunately as seen in the photos, our volcano view was missing due to bad weather. Though we did get glimpses of the impressive view. And the view further right of the sea was great!

Here's an average restaurant with an excellent view of Mt. Batur and surrounding area. This meal was part of my one day tour package. Food was tasty, but lukewarm, and a few flies decided to muscle in on my meal. I enjoyed the black rice pudding, my first time eating the pudding. There is a viewpoint further down the road where it looks like you can get great photos. I think there are better restaurants with good views.

This stop was part of my tour. Food was just ok. It was buffet style. Typical noodle, steamed vegetables, rice, and skewers option. Nothing to say it was spectacular. The views make up for an spectacular experience.

Great place to capture pictures with the backdrop of a volcano. There were many meal selections, most of which didn't suit our palates. Some of the purportedly Indian foods weren't even remotely Indian. We did, however, find very few foods that satisfied our appetites. The restaurant's restrooms were immaculate—at least when we visited.

Nice large family restaurant with a stunning view of Mt Batur. I did not get the buffet but ordered Duck which they seemed to be surprised about as everyone else ate the buffet lol. The slow roast duck and salad I ordered plus a Bali punch was just right.

We were forced to eat here for breakfast, there were a ton of flies at the table and the lady was quite rude. There seemed to be very little care for hygiene when I looked at the staff cooking and I felt sick afterwards. We’ve been to a few other places in the area (in the same price range), so we know it’s not typical. I don’t get sick easily so there’s obviously low hygiene standards. Lovely view tho! In the dim sum restaurant in the hotel complex (which has the same cooks / chefs), we found a Bali cockroach in the dumplings

The must visit place for tourists I'm happy that the quality of the food has been improving a lot now. They're not just eatable as it used to be, but absolutely delicious now. The service was also faster but could be better by always having a staff or two attending the outdoor seating area which is the favorite spot to enjoying the view. The furniture was also a lot more better maintained. Need improvement for the toilet downstairs so it doesn't look so gloomy and cold.

Nice spot with magnificent view (if the weather conditions permit it). They have usually a buffet with a lot of choices even if the quality is not always the best (furthermore sometimes cold hot food). The pumpkin soup was fine. But honestly you go here for the location snd not for the food

The pizza tasted good and served fresh. The staff was pretty helpful. It's better to come here early morning since the cloud and fog start enveloping the region at noon and blocking the view. I came here just today and it was raining and the flies swarmed the place.

Amazing views. Ordinary breakfast buffet at 80k pp. Rode here from Ubud around 7am (wear warm clothes if you do this ride early morning). Opened at 9am for breakfast. We were blown away by the views this restaurant had on offer. Food was pretty bland but not the worst.

This place is perfect for us to get relax , chill, and enjoy with the natural beauty. The view is so mesmerizing. They have daily buffet and a la cart also set menu. Recommended to try the coffee in this restaurant because they use local kintamani coffee. We know that local kintamani coffee is famous in worldwide. I love tamarillo jam, its local fruit and they have yummy taste. The important thing is when you have breakfast, lunch or dinner at Lake View Restaurant you will get lake and mountain panoramas.

Avoid this place! Nice entrance, great view, friendly service — but the pizza was inedible and they added a 20% surcharge when we paid. The pizza was overloaded with bland cheese and the dough was undercooked. Running an open-air air conditioning system is no longer acceptable from an environmental and energy-efficiency standpoint. There seems to be water damage above the kitchen. Tables were not clean. A cat was wandering around. Prices listed on the menu get an extra 20% added at the register (10% tax, 10% service). The view is the only thing truly worth it — but don’t eat here. All in all, a tourist trap.

The restaurant and café are situated on a stunning ridge overlooking Mount Batur and Lake Batur, and it’s without a doubt one of the best panoramic spots you can find in Bali. The atmosphere is serene, the mountain breeze refreshing, and the visuals—unbeatable. For scenery alone, The Amora Bali is worth the stop. The customer service was also quite good. We were welcomed politely, staff were attentive and friendly, and they checked in during our meal. It’s clear they are trying to offer a great guest experience and that goes a long way in hospitality. Unfortunately, everything else outside of the view and service was a big letdown, especially the food. We were really looking forward to a hearty breakfast with a view, but what we got was cold, dry, and tasteless food. Even basic dishes were disappointing. The egg wrap we tried was flavorless and rubbery, and the eggs themselves were bland and poorly cooked. With such a beautiful location, the food should match the setting—but it fell completely flat. It felt like the dishes had been prepared well in advance and left out, resulting in cold and unappetizing plates. While most of the food didn’t leave a good impression, there was one standout—a Balinese sweet we tried (unfortunately we didn’t catch the name). It had a soft texture and a mildly sweet flavor that felt authentic and comforting. That dish was the only redeeming item on the menu and is worth trying if you do end up dining there. The ambience of the restaurant itself is casual and relaxed, and it’s built to maximize the breathtaking views with open seating and wide glass windows. It’s a great place for a coffee or juice stop if you’re passing through the Kintamani region, especially if you’re coming from Ubud or heading to Mount Batur. But if you’re expecting a satisfying meal to match the location—you might leave disappointed, as we did. We do hope the management pays more attention to the food quality and preparation. Even with the simplest dishes, freshness and flavor are important. With such a prime location, there’s an opportunity for The Amora Bali to become an iconic destination for both views and cuisine. Sadly, based on our visit, the kitchen doesn’t currently meet that standard. Final thoughts: • Come for the view—it’s unmatched and truly mesmerizing. • Appreciate the friendly and warm service. • Try the Balinese dessert (if available). • Don’t set high expectations for the food. • Consider stopping by for coffee or drinks rather than a full meal. I've been to this restaurant during my trip in Bali, it was chosen by our local guide to have lunch before visiting Besakih Temple. The view on Mount and Lake Batur is really wonderful. It's a buffet restaurant so you can eat as much as you like: there's a quite large selection of dishes and the food is very good.

Nice view on the mountain if you are lucky and it is not cloudy. The food was good, the green matcha was ok and nice for pictures. One of the staff was not so friendly (not smiling and took time to pay and get back the money. But it's okay because the view is nice.

Food is below average and overpriced. 48k for a Mi Goreng with instant noodles, two small chicken satay, over fried egg and some crackers is too much. The view is amazing Decor is ok

Did not go for the buffet as variety was rather limited. Hence decided to go for ala carte which allowed us to be seated on the second floor. Despite the usual flies, the scenery and view on level 2 was very very good. Food quality was rather normal but luckily it was not pricey. The one thing that I recommend would be the fried banana fritters in honey. That was a sweet and tasty treat.

Been seeing this place all over sosmed, so I had to check it out 😍 The view and decor are absolutely beautiful, super aesthetic and perfect for photos 📸💚 But tbh, the seating wasn’t too comfy 😅 It looks amazing, but a bit too short, so you kinda have to bend forward when eating main dishes 🙈 🥹 Maybe better for coffee or light snacks instead. Not sure about the 1st floor or the Nest seats tho. That said, the food was good, 😊 and the service was 💯, the staff were really kind and attentive. I've been to several cafes in this area, but I think this cafe is the most architecturally unique and distinctive. They have many different sections with its own uniqueness. There is a conventional restaurant-like, some are more edgy, some are comfy, and so on. yes, the place is SPACIOUS. The scenery is awesome! well, batur scenery cant go wrong though. We ordered a croissant and iced coffee, they were both okay. At that time, the service was tad bit long, and kinda difficult to get server. altho still acceptable. plus point, if i'm not mistaken, there's a musholla/praying room here, which is nice 🤍

The view was absolutely beautiful. There were quite a lot of insects, so bug repellent is a must, but they placed a little fan device on our table—like a tiny “takekoputa”—and it kept most of the bugs away while we ate. The matcha latte was delicious, and I was happy that I could buy some coffee beans to take home as well. It’s a lovely café where you can really enjoy nature. It would be even better if there were fewer flies, but I guess that’s unavoidable in this kind of environment. 🌱⛰️

Very misty dawn during our visit few days ago, we were the first group to enter the restaurant n we secured the best seats for the sunrise n the mountain view but only disappointment at the end, but my whole team enjoyed so much n busy for photos taking . Go after sunrise at Batur - INCREDIBLE view. Croissant scramble was the best option on the menu and the French toast was a close second. The service wasn’t the best though but still worth the view. Also warning: there are a lot of flies but that’s the price you pay for the location and view.

Went here after hiking, very good scenery, chosen the seat tat can enjoy the view. But no choice due to the valcano's sulphur, there were a lot of flies flying around that area even at hotel area. 3 of us went for lunch, 1 had bali belly afterwards during evening time. I ordered pizza, Pisang goreng, Steak all are delicious. Fruit bowl may be the suspicious source.

An experience that went far beyond my expectations! I originally came just to have coffee, but it turns out they offer a super fun e-bike tour around Kintamani and a coffee tasting session where you get taken directly to the coffee farm. They explain everything in detail—from the coffee cherries, the beans, all the way to the brewing process. The service is warm and friendly from start to finish. I’ll definitely come back again, and I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a new activity in Kintamani.

BEST FOOD I HAD IN BALI! I was only cherry-picking this place from Google Maps. However, it turns out to be the most delicious dish we had on our 6-day trip in Bali. Ikan Mujair Nyat-Nyat is ridiculously good. But Ikan Mujair Sambal Matah is the best of all. Never taste a more freshening and flavourful Sambal Matah, ever! Highly recommended for those who like spicy food. Furthermore, the owner provides some good hospitality and service in explaining the food on the menu. And the cherry on top, the view of Mt Abang was beautiful from the rooftop of the restaurant. Definitely will be one of the priority place to visit in my next Bali trip.

Loaded with scrumptious flavor. The BEST meal we have had in BALI. AMAZING!!! We each had one of the fish dishes, and the fish is right out of LAKE BATUR! Even the fried noodles were delicious. Tasted like home cooking, Bali style. The place is easy to miss when you're driving by but we were specifically looking for it and found it. It's run by a sweet family, and they took us up to the top deck with the best view. Unforgettable experience, highly recommended!

Talking about hidden gem, this is it! The real hidden gem among all the instagrammable cafes in Kintamani. This small resto serve the best Mujair Nyat Nyat (or chicken if you prefer it) ever. Not to mention cheap (only IDR 45K for one big size) durian with heavenly taste 😍 The nyat nyat tastes soooo damn good, even my kids love it. No funny smell, it is so fresh and delicious. Not to mention very friendly people that makes you feel like coming home to eat dinner with your own family! Will definitely come back here whenever we are in Kintamani!

It’s a simple place compared to the surrounding restaurants that look quite luxurious, but the Mujair Nyat-Nyat is actually the champion, the view is no less beautiful than the luxurious eating places around it, like this place .

the reviews are generally correct that this is the best actual food in the area. portions are medium sized but tasty. oxtail soup and beef curry were good with lots of meat. Ceaser salad was decent (also came out late). prices are good and the staff are competent. varied menu, doing Asian and western. Indoor and outdoor seating. obv great views goes without saying. varied table and lounge seating. large parking lot. some annoying hawkers. overall Recommended.

I went to Ritatkala Cafe for the first time 4 years ago for breakfast. Too bad the view is covered with fog because of heavy rain so I couldn't have breakfast with view but the ambiance still great. The fog made me didn't feel like I was in Indonesia. The food and beverages were good and the price is reasonable. The staff also very friendly. The cafe also clean from the dining area, outdoor area to the toilet as well. Since that moment Ritatkala is my must to go place in Kintamani. I've visited Ritatkala 3x since. And Ritatkala never disappoints me. The food and beverages always good, staff always friendly, cafe always clean, price still reasonable. I love all my experience in Ritatkala Cafe

We visited this restaurant drawn by its high rating, but now we understand that the praise mostly comes from the view rather than the food. What many described as “delicious” is really just “edible.” We tried five dishes: Oxtail soup – the meat was inedible and the broth was muddy, not strained. Thai beef salad – the beef was undercooked. Chicken salad – the chicken was overcooked and dry. Laksa – possibly we’re spoiled by other places, but this was not laksa; the noodles were clumped and the flavor was off. In general, I would rate the food at 4/10 at best. The view is nice, coffee probably good but we didn’t try it since it was late. The orange juice was excessively sweet, almost overwhelming. At least we were very hungry and the food was edible enough to fill us up.

Beautiful mountain view and cozy atmosphere such a perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The food is good and the staff are friendly. However, the coffee and other drinks could still be improved in terms of taste and consistency. With a little upgrade on the beverage menu, this place could easily become a must-visit spot!

We had a quesadilla and pancakes with Nutella, plus tea. They made a separate vegetarian dish for my friend. Everything was very tasty — we recommend visiting.

I would give a zero star..........pathetic food.......no sense of hospitality for visitors......you will be on your own..........pale food......cold food...............no reheating of food after request............no chapati or naan available......only breads.....hard breads......not fresh..........requested to open a fresh packet of bread but staff refused and said the bread is not more in the stock......you have to eat rice.............Rice was cold and taste like eating plastic rice.......spring rolls had too much oil and they were very very hard and oily.........not refills no reheating arrangemets............staff was not cooperative and very rude...........not even tried to serve

What a waste of money and time! The view is okay, but not worth the time and money. The food is way below average, with flies everywhere. The buffet is close to USD $10. Really! Anywhere else in Bali, I could eat a very good meal for 1/3 of that price. The view is not that great. It's just a mountain. That's it. I don't know what the rave is all about! I get it. It's the only volcanic mountain in Bali. Please people, be honest in your review.

One of nice place to enjoy food and view of geopark Batur

It's a old building with nice view, but we first went to the toilet after a long bus drive. What we saw and smell was indescribable, horrible and we almost throw up. If this is their standard for hygiene I don't want to know what the status is of the food that they prepare! They ask 120.000 IDR per person for the buffet. Coffee and tea for "free". I don't know how the food tastes because we only bought bottled drinks and left.

Great location. Lovely views. Reasonably priced restaurant. Popular with locals. Nice grilled fish meal. It was breezy when we visited so the flies weren't too bad but on a calm day they would ruin the experience . Same all over the lake area I believe. Definitely stopping at if only for a drink and a photo stop.

1st of all, it's an amazing place to visit for the views. Ample parking space and quite easy access to this place. The weather is breezy despite the direct sunlight, you will get amazing photos here with lake and mount batur view. If you came here for food , it's worth going for mujair nyat nyat. The fish are fresh and the aroma melted into the fish is amazing. However, be prepared to up your martial skill and amazing hand movements. You'll be busy fighting off plenty of flies as soon as the food arrives. For me this was quite disappointing, I couldn't enjoy the food quite like I wanted it despite the amazing view. The cleanliness of this place needs to be addressed, it's simply too much to handle just for a meal. I'm honestly surprised at the amount of flies here compared to eating by the beach with less cleanliness. Honestly this would've been an amazing experience if it weren't for the flies. I hope this can improve.

Great vibe and an amazing view. Nice open area and cool architecture. While they were out of the two things I wanted on the menu, I did enjoy the burger and the desert. Coffee was also enjoyable. Nice modern open plan restaurant with a wide selection of traditional Indonesian dishes, pastas and a few old favourites like fish and chips, and chicken cordon bleu. Coffee is excellent. Beer is available including the brilliant Kura Kura range, but no wine, and the cocktail selection, while good, is of the non-alcoholic mocktail variety. A nice selection of smoothies and cakes are also available. Like most restaurants around the rim of the caldera, the views are outstanding if you pick a clear day to arrive. I gave 3 stars for atmosphere because of the location right next to a busy road with a LOT of loud traffic noise, otherwise five stars!

Food: ordered the Okta tasting plate, calamari and pickled veg were good, the fries and chicken were not. Come for the view and a drink, eat elsewhere Drink: the hot magic wood tea was really great, like nothing i have ever tasted. a blend of secang wood, sweet basil, lime, almond and cinnamon. We liked the food in this cafe. Rating 4 out of 5. Tasty, but something is missing. The tea was tasty, but please replace your beautiful teapots with other, more convenient ones, because when you pour tea into a cup, everything spills out past it, it is inconvenient. Come for the view not the food. This was a part of our hiking Mt Batur package and I wouldn't eat here on my own. Not sure if it was the preset menu or the food in general is not that great but the service is decent and view of Mt Batur is very nice.

Madu Sari Hotels & Restaurant is located opposite to the view point of Mt. Batur, one of the active volcanoes in Indonesia. The restaurant is a part of the hotel property and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Our tour operator had organised a tour of the area and lunch at the Madu Sari Hotel & Restaurant was part of the package. As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the tour operator had arranged for Jain vegetarian food for me, while my wife was served non-vegetarian Indonesian-style cuisine. The staff at the restaurant had made a sincere effort to cater to my dietary preferences, and I appreciated their efforts. The buffet spread included a variety of Indonesian dishes such as nasi goreng, satay, and mie goreng. The non-vegetarian dishes were cooked in the Indonesian style, with spices and herbs that were unique to the region. My wife enjoyed the food and appreciated the flavours of the Indonesian cuisine. The Jain vegetarian food, on the other hand, was not as flavourful as we had expected. The dishes lacked the spices and herbs that are usually used in Indian cuisine. However, we appreciated the effort that had gone into making the food and were happy that the restaurant had tried to cater to our dietary preferences. The ambience of the restaurant was pleasant, with large windows that offered stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The service was prompt, and the staff was courteous and helpful. The restaurant also had an outdoor seating area that was perfect for enjoying the views and the cool breeze. While the Jain vegetarian food could have been better, we appreciated the effort that had gone into making it. I dont know where to start... We stayed in this hotel one night.. I will share some photos for you to make a whole picture about the place. We paid 200.000 ird for one night, which is (surprisingly) very low price for this area (in other places in Bali for this price you can stay in very decent places). Pros - hot shower, - receptionist (guy who also cleans the rooms) was really nice to us - gave us freshly washed towels and tried to help us. Cons - we stayed in the room named Arjuna - room is in very bad conditions (we ask for another room, but there wasn't any..). - room and shower was dirty (hair, dirt...) and mold - on the walls and on the pillows (I know that here is high humidity but this is really bad ....). - and one last surprise on the wall by the toilet, I didn't examine it, but I hope it was piece of mud (not piece of shit😅) - you can see also on the pictures. Honestly now we are laughing to it but it was freaking horrible (I didnt sleep half of the night😅) - but I strongly recommend, dont go there :D at least to this room. (I have to say that when we were leaving we saw from outside a few rooms which had new windows - so maybe there are some better options, BUT we dont know for sure...).

Hotel with the great view and average food. Hospitality was quite good. During our visit it was raining heavily so we missed the mount batur view. But they still got some great view. Visited in March '20, Before Lockdown.

Indian food seemed as if cooked by a mason (and not chef). Even the local cuisine is NOT palatable for Indians. I eat both veg and non-veg but the food overall is a disappointment. Coca-Cola was the BEST. The vendors sitting outside are sheer blood-suckers. TIP - Carry water bottles purchased from Indomaret. At IDR 4800 for 1.5L, it cant get cheaper in entire Indonesia.

The food was good but there were too many flies and they kept landing on the food also they were in some of the food, it's sad that management couldnt take steps to prevent them from getting into the food. Overall didn't enjoy the food cos I knew a fly probably landed on it

Owner and staff went above and beyond to ensure I saw the best of the surrounding area. I highly recommend this hotel! It has a great view of Mt. Batur but I would suggest you take their trekking tour to experience a breathtaking sunrise!

Great view but our driver told us we had to get the buffet which for us and the kids was really average. Only a couple of items that were good and not worth the money. The view was amazing however. We did not try the drinks.

The view is wonderful and would be a great place to have a drink, but would not eat here again. We stopped in here for lunch and ended up having the buffet. A couple of items on the buffet were quite good, but most were not too good. There were a million flies around making the food very unappetizing. There were also stray dogs wandering around in the restaurant outdoor eating area. The buffet was expensive at 150K each with no drinks other than coffee, and when they tacked on a 21% "TAX" at the end I was quite put off. The service here was also very poor and hard to get a drink albeit friendly. I would definitely not eat here, but nice place to have a look.

4, certainly not recommend for the lunch break. 1, the view is nice especially when the wind blows away the cloud and reveals the lake view. 2, that’s about it. We arrived for lunch buffet, overly priced 200k/p, there is really not much you can eat. I would have to say that the only place I did not like the local food. Not even better than the street side Babi Guling. 3, staff are friendly, but not as you could find in Denpasar area or Lovina or Singaraja or Seminyak or Ubud .

Stopped here to take a break during my road trip. The coffee is great, with a strong flavor and aroma. The view is also breathtaking. It's better to sit on the upper or ground floor, as the lower floor has a damp smell. On the downside, the snacks are a bit too salty, the restroom could use some renovation, and there were quite a few flies. Overall, though, the service is excellent.

Try their signature dish, mujair nyat-nyat. It is sooooo delicious! We have lunch here with a scenic view of Mount Batur. Unfortunately, the place isn't wide enough for me.

The Cowboy Restaurant in Kintamani is really nice. The cliff edge seating and the view is mesmerizing from this restaurant. You can sit here and watch the Mountain Batur. There are very less Veg Options but you have good Hot beverages options. There are a lot of other restaurants in the area with this amazing view but Cowboy is pretty reasonable in terms of price We ordered Cheese Pizza (asked them to make it vegetarian, as they didn't have any veg options) , Hot Choco Caramel Milk and Ginger Tea. The Choco Caramel Milk was wonderful. Must visit this place to enjoy a breathtaking view.

We came here for dinner so cannot really see the view but it still looking great! The service was awesome and we really enjoy our food we got. The cabonara is yummy, maybe it's not the real cabonara but I still like and recommended it :) Nasi Goreng is also tasty and pizza is okay. We didnt try their steak yet but maybe next time!

We stop here because of heavy traffic to Kintamani. It was easy to get parking. This restaurant has amazing view, you can enjoy Mt Batur from their roof top. Foods are nice, you can enjoy with kids while seeing amazing view.

I went for coffee here a couple of times for a cappuccino and the coffee was good. Also the price was very reasonable. The service was also very good. The view on mount Batur is magnificent.

Below average experience unfortunately. I had to search for a member of staff when I arrived as there was no one near to welcome me, however he was quite friendly. Overall the place doesn’t appear well kept. The food was not great, I ordered grilled fish and it was cold, leaving me questioning how long ago it was cooked. It came as 2 whole fish with 3 fish heads (weird), lots of bones, I spent the whole time picking needle bones out of my mouth. Only accept cash, wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t return.

Good tasted foods with affordable prices. Scenery is amazing. Good temperature and air as well. However we chose on the place at outer side closest to the lake and a lot of flies swarmed our foods even though we are given 4 candles. Hopefully management can consider installing fan to help repel the flies.

I visited this place on a hot sunny day in January 2020. The place is beautiful and the view is awe inspiring. This restaurant is not a 5 star or Michelin star, so please don't have crazy expectations. Its a place where locals visit regularly and their food is delicious and a bit spicy. It wouldn't be wrong to say that this was one of the best meals I had while in Indonesia. The service was very nice, polite and they gave me a charger to charge my cell phone too which was nice. So great views, great food, nice people and 5 stars! Will definitely come here again!

Good place to have lunch. The foods are good, especially the dessert, banana fritter. It was the definition of lunch with a view. It located in the edge of the lake surrounded by mountains. There are 2 types of dining room, on the land, and the other is floating on the lake. Eating on the lake feels like you eat on the boat. But i give 4 stars because the toilet is less clean and the flush didn't work

I wish I have known this restaurant way earlier!!!! One of the most beautiful restaurant in Bali and definitely among the most memorable one I've visited throughout my life. Love the scenery, love the fish dishes, love the memory, great! They have praying room too for Muslims, big parking area, and bungalows for staying guests. Will definitely come back here again, multiple times 🤩🤩🤩 A restaurant worth 10stars in my opinion.

Food is ok, but not exciting. The view is quite nice and you can sit outside in the shade. Lunch buffet IDR 125000 incl tax etc. Hot tea and coffee included too.

Food is good, but not great. What's really special about this place is that it offers a view of three volcanoes, and is absolutely gorgeous to have lunch amidst the fresh mountain breeze. Pricing is reasonable with buffet costing approximately IDR 150,000 per head.

Whatever you do don't waste your money on the buffet unless you're seriously starving. It's worth it just to take some photos but is not great food. Definitely a tourist stop.... Make sure you try the snake fruit!

Views get 5* rating. Prices are way too high. Buffet costs 120k IDR + tax ending up at 150k IDR per person and this is without drinks. With drinks you end up paying around 200k per person. The food was ok but that price is not justified. Also they had to correct the bill three times before getting it right. So felt like they tried to cheat me. Also entry to the Batur lake area was 50k per person so the lunch with view ended up way too expensive.

The view is nice actually, but I came when it's raining. The taste isn't really good but not bad at all. The place is standard, nothing special there.

Views were lovely! Really beautiful. Service was fantastic. But it was the quality of the food that let it down. Food did not taste fresh, it was barely warm.. the bay maries didn't have their lids on so a lot of the food had flies on it. Our drinks came out in what felt like old reused glass bottles which makes me nervous how they clean them. Or if they weren't reused what kind of a journey they've had to be all scratched up and rusty. All up, after taxes we paid about $50 AUD to eat here for lunch which seemed absurd. BUT, if you're not fussy, the views are gorgeous!

The food was hilariously overpriced: they tried to charge us 200,000IDR each for a buffet, finally going down to 80,000IDR each, which we still refused to pay. After realising this they finally brought us a set menu, and we ordered a simple vegetarian dish. The dish was easily the worst food we tasted in Bali. We had one mouthful each and left the rest. The two staff we interacted with (the male owner we assume, and one lady) were incredibly rude at every turn, did not care at all that we didn't enjoy our food and took so long to bring us our bill that we had to actually go and get it ourselves. Horrible experience. The only upside was the phenomenal view, which they don't deserve. Disgusting, rude, rip-off of an establishment.

This restaurant has the most amazing views of the volcano as you sit and eat buffet, which is authentic indonesian food and very good. highly suggest this place and try going on a clear day. although we went on a rainy day, intermittent rain, luckily the mist cleared long enough for us to enjoy the view.

I see some reviews complaining about the price if you want to eat like an Australian, it will cost you about 30% more than the average meal in Bali the average meal in Bali is very average even in a nice restaurant if you buy something cheap it's not so good in Melbourne a Large Meal Deal: $15.35 SO if you're asked for $20 ahead to enter this place give him a dirty look and see if you can get something knocked off. Food, albeit a bit pricey and small portions, were satisfactory. Consider it a trade off bc they don't charge for the daybed. We had hot tea and enjoyed a relatively chill and relaxed afternoon. The vibe was much better than many places, only a few annoying influencers obsessively taking photos to give us a laugh again and again. The staff was kind, attentive and friendly. The view is lovely and I would simply describe this place as underestimated. The sofas and pool layout, including the pool benches at the bar were perfect. The music was pleasant, although we may have heard the same playlist 2x. Towel rental is reasonable at around 25-35k. While we wished the pool was much warmer, the weather was kind and we often had the warmth of sunlight. Come to changing time, the rainfall showers are piping hot and seemingly endless in supply. We felt relaxed and refreshed - ready for the 2 hour drive home. It seems to get busier as the hour approaches 2-3pm, but it was perfect for a lunchtime chill out - quite possibly the highlight of our time in Kintamani. Good parking area and no annoying tukang to bother you.

Is it a hidden gem in kintamani? Don't know but i can guarantee it's really really a gem in kintamani 😍 nice view, food, beverage and service. Definitely will come back.

We are currently staying in Oculus Hotel. The room is good BUT the restaurant is not good. Lack of choise of the main course, and 5 plates weren't available. The quantities are very smal, some plates have letuce as a side. Only letuce !! The lava cake is really raw. We live in Paris and we know how lava cake should be. And of course prices of the dinner menu are very high, not worth it: the problem is that the hotel is in the middle of the mountain, there's no restaurant nearby the hotel. Also there's no grab to order food !! I don't know what we're gonna eat tomorow night.

In Kintamani most of the restaurant offers magnificent view of Mt. Batur. This one is also the same. About the food, its also average like other restaurants in the area (according to other reviewers). But dining while enjoying the view of surrounding mountain and the breeze is beyond ones imagination. Overall we had a pleasant experience. The service was also good.

This is one of the standard spots where the biking tours drop you for a drink and the so-called free breakfast, that consist of a pancake that was very stodgy not-so-great, but fantastic views down to the crater and across to the mountains

Terrible breakfast included in cycling trip. Tea, coffee and omelettes awful. None of our party ate these. Avoid at all costs

Waiting for so long for tomato soup and cheese sandwich. The milkshake not really a milkshake, i think its pop ice, milkshake should be creamy and thick, but this not. Tomato soup needs seasoning, its bland. Cheese sandwich is more like salad sandwich, consist of cabbage, carrot, cucumber, mayonaise and shredded cheese. Its better to use cheese slice rather than shredded cheese, cause i can't taste the cheese at all. Too much fly on the spot, the waiter should move quickly to remove the plates from the table to prevent the flies to gather. Good experience is not about the view, but the food and the environment should be good too, but that doesn't apply to this restaurant. I think the management in the kitchen is bad. Its not really expensive but not really worthed it. With good food people will enjoy the view more.

This restaurant is a perfect spot to watch the sunrise, eat delicious and cheap food, and get a smiling welcoming service. They open at 5 am so make sure you're here early to watch the sunrise. We ordered their special Nasi Goreng, club sandwishes, and the local Kintamani coffee. Everything was delicious!

Food is good and better price than buffet restaurants area here... Price around 20K-40K only for one complete meal. The tax will be 10%. The tax of other restaurant area there will be 15% to 20%

Good service but not recommended. Overpriced but not worth it. Ordered orange squash but they only use syrup. Ordered fried banana but it looks like how my sister cook when she's 10 years old.

We chose this restaurant because of the good reviews it had. The truth is, the ambiance is very pleasant, and the views are impressive. We ordered the tofu satay and the nasi goreng, both with vegetarian ingredients and with a vegan option available. We are vegetarians, and the menu did not indicate that the dishes contained meat or fish. Despite this, they brought us chicken in the nasi goreng, and we didn’t realize until we had tasted it. The waitress offered to change the dish, but in the end, we decided to share the tofu satay and eat the rice and egg from the nasi goreng to avoid wasting food. The rest of the food was good, but nothing outstanding. It should not be acceptable for a restaurant’s menu to be unreliable. In our case, nothing happened, but if it had been an allergy instead of a dietary preference, it could have been a serious situation so we recommend if you are vegan or vegetarian to inform the staff and ask specifically for the ingredients. We requested the restaurant to edit the menu and include all the ingredients of the dishes and if possible specify if its vegan or vegetarian.

The view is nice. We stopped for a lunch, the food was fine, the staff is a bit slow, they brought us menus but never came to take order, so we went inside to order. The seats could be more comfortable and there quite a lot of flies.

The restaurant is famous and viral for its beautiful view of mountains and a lake. Sitting on the back terrace, down and top floors, both locations offer the same view. 180 degree. Unfortunately, the place needs upgrade to have a better n cleaner restaurant I wish they could serve the foods and drinks quicker. We went there today, Sunday, and waiting for an hour with 3 x asking for we the food or at least to serve n the drinks while waiting the food being process. At last , food n drink came out It doesn't taste as i expected.. just average and the fish is small . We ordered gurami nyat²

This is where you can have the authentic Mujaer Nyat-Nyat with a great Mt. Batur view and affordable foods. The food was great, worth the price. The view was splendid, although it was just a regular restaurant. Still, like other places around Batur, the flies were all over the place.

One of the more 'local' restaurants on penelokan road, from the menu, the staffs and their hospitality, to the price. The view is great, the food super nice. Unlike other posh cafes in the area, the view is the only other main selling point. It was crowded on a public holiday lunch hour, so our food took a while. We had the ikan goreng lalapan (fried fish with sambal), ayam goreng lalapan (fried chicken with sambal), and ikan kuah kecut (fried fish in tangy and spicy soup). This last item is highly recommended. It is fresh, and warm, perfect in kintamani cold temperature.

Came here because I love mujair nyat nyat and I wanted to test if this has one of the best one on the island. Well my verdict is... it is not one of the best I've had so far. The service is quite slow too. Oh and you can only pay with cash here, so cashless peeps be aware

Nice Tilapia fish fried rice served with nasi goreng at very affordable prices. The restaurant was busy. Unfortunately, when we were there in December 2023, millions of flies were in the restaurant, which kind of put me off my appetite. It wasn’t so bad inside, but outside was terrible. Other than that, the food was nice and yummy.

Booked a room at this hotel thinking it would be great as the pictures look pretty awesome. My god I was wrong. Payed 750.000IDR for a Mountain View room in a hotel considered 3 star hotel. What a rip off… the bedroom was big and had a nice view, but no fridge, no air conditioning, no extra blankets, no bottles of water, was not particularly clean. Nobody told us there was a water dispenser in the corridor (it was empty anyway as I saw them change it at 8am) or that we could ask for a hair dryer at the reception. The bathroom had some mold in some corners. Some members of the staff (I should think) were talking and laughing after midnight in the corridor -though there is a “be quiet” sign- and considering the door is extremely thin, they woke us up twice. Ate at the restaurant in the evening, had a crispy duck dish. I ended up with a dish that was basically duck bones with rice. And that was worth 135.000IDR. Plus a really long wait which is surprising as there was hardly anybody in the hotel and loads of friendly staff. Concerning the breakfast, it wasn’t ready on time. Also don’t expect it to be as good as just a 2 star hotel. No juices for free, no bread. Not blaming the young members of the staff who were friendly, but who an earth is managing that place ?! Basically, for half the price you can get so much better ! Go elsewhere, trust me !

The location is a great as you can see the lake and mountain clearly. However the room was not what I expected. As I booked the room, it looked very clean and nice but it was not… The room was not dirty but horrible smell…like mold and bath room was like sewer… At least the ppl were really nice. But I dont recommend here to stay, but good view.

The this place is not worth it. We ordered 2 rooms for 5 adult and 1 child and the room was dirty. The service for breakfast was very bad. They make it harder for us to eat breakfast so we talked to the manager. Not recommended!

There are old rooms and we'll furnished room. Bathrooms are wide. There'a a water dispenser so you can fill your drink water for free. The views are incredible. You can see both Mount Batur, mount Abang, Mount Agung and Batur lake.

Wow. Hard to believe this place has any 5 star ratings. It’s in an incredible location but the rooms were not clean when we checked in. The walls are all scuffed. It’s a management issue for sure

We had not good experience with the restaurant, we come for lunch and already ordered pizza and Hong Kong fried rice, after waiting about 40 minutes the staff told us that the oven was broken and needed more times to prepared, so disappointed they must told us faster about that

very good overall. part of a resort. bar and restaurant on different floors. upscale but prices still Reasonable (other than the 70k still water). chicken rendang was excellent. medium portions. service quick for the quality of the food. small parking lot located on a bit of an incline, easy to miss. ginger lemongrass tea came in a fiery bear costume for some reason. overall recommended. one of the best options in the area combining good food and atmosphere with prices still reasonable.

Located at Tira Vilagna, this restaurant is probably the best in the area. Foods are good and fairly priced. Their attention to details are amazing. You will feel pampered, it's so great you want to come back asap. Beautiful view, cool air and the romantic setting makes it a place to remember, worth every penny.

It’s hard to hate on hangout places on the Penelokan street Kintamani. With the breathtaking view you just need to not make mistakes to wow people. This place delivers.

Any of the cafes along Penelokan Main Rd would have given anyone the most stunning views in Bali. The cafe is perched in a location that provides breathtaking vistas of Mount Batur and the valley below. However, it's best to visit a bit later in the morning, as the early mist can obscure the scenery. Once the sun rises and burns off the mist, the view is simply spectacular. The ambiance at Olympus Coffee is cozy and serene, making it a perfect spot to relax and soak in the natural beauty around you. The coffee is excellent, crafted with care, and pairs perfectly with the panoramic backdrop.

Disappointing experience. Coffee was lukewarm, and both the fried eggs and crepes were served cold. The eggs were undercooked and the accompanying red beans had an unpleasant odor. The ham and chicken sausages were dry. The crepes were cold and unappetizing. While the coffee was decent, the overall quality of the food was below expectations.

The cafe next door was full of people, I'm very surprised people didn't come to this hidden gem instead. The view is wonderful, they also made a floral hoop for photos. Food was fantastic. Recommend the spring rolls!

arguably the best option in the area (along with treetop and ritatkala). huge open downstairs area with great music selection (not that same trendy beach club crap playlist everywhere in bali has). varied seating and photo taking areas. large Asian/thai inspired menu. mama San curry was excellent as was Thai basil. servers were friendly and helpful, even let me cancel an appetizer after they put it in and explained it would take a while. great value for the price. Large easy parking. also one of the rare places open late. highly recommended.

If you love Thai food, Lunamoon Kintamani is a must-visit! The restaurant offers a fantastic selection of desserts and coffee that will make your day even better. I spent a wonderful afternoon here with friends, enjoying both the food and the atmosphere. The highlights for me were the New York cheesecake and the mixed berry cheesecake both absolutely delicious and worth a 10/10 rating. The setting is just as impressive as the menu, with a stunning view along the bridge that makes for perfect photo opportunities. A truly memorable experience in Kintamani!

The place was stunning with cheap and yummy food! The flies were undoubtedly annoying but it’s pretty normal, as long as you were eating, they won’t bother you. The Thai food was yummy, with the Tom Yum Goong having lots of ingredients in it. It is perfect for photos as well.

Had such a nice time at Lunamoon! Tried the oolong bali tea, oyster with Thai dressing, and salmon salad — all fresh and tasty. The mountain view is amazing, and the place is calm enough for WFC. Only downside: quite a lot of flies around, but still worth a visit! 🍴🍣🦪🫖

This is a great warung (simple Indonesian restaurant). I decided to try it out based on the reviews it had. And they are spot on!!! The menu has only 4 dishes, and I selected the Mujair nyat nyat, which is a tilapia fish. It was fantastic. It was a large fish and really cooked to perfection. The fish was nice and very tender, not the dry cooked fish you might get in some other places. The fish was served with water spinach (kangkung) amd steamed rice. The service was also great. The lady was very friendly and welcoming. This place is definitively a must try!!!

Very tasty and satisfying dishes for our relaxing dinner. The restaurant is clean and no housefly during our mealtime. Good price and authentic spices with fresh ingredients. Ibu is so friendly and skillful on her dishes. The sweet tea, rice and dishes were served piping hot. We will surely be back. We had the same dish at Warung Jowet in the morning. We were busy chasing houseflies while we ate the Warung Jowet. Warung88 is by far the best.

Never tried mujair fish before and I was so scared that the fish will have lots of small bones which will make it hard to eat. But Ibu said she will choose the bigger fish so the bone will not be so small, but still to be careful though. So we ordered mujair sambal matah (chili with lots of shallots) and ayam bakar thailand (thai grilled chicken). Ordered at 3pm and we ate at 6pm. The fish was soft, small bones exist but not to much, sambal matah works so well with the fish. Ayam bakar was also so good, covered with spices (you can ask how spicy you want, we asked to be no spicy at all). The chicken was tender, smells so good, the spices was great. We love it!! Go try this good food, you won’t regret it..
