Restaurant
Warung Agung Amed is a charming and welcoming spot with a cozy and rustic interior, offering warm and friendly service. The owner's live music adds to the unique experience, along with unexpected visits from local fishermen. The menu features outstanding dishes like corn fritters, Catch of the Day, fish curry, and a top-notch vegetarian selection including cold-pressed juices. This hip venue also offers reasonably priced cocktails and draws on a wide range of cuisines.
If you are hungry and in the area there is no better place to go. The food is amazing with more than well sized dishes and the taste is really local if you want it to. Of course you can order anything closer to your tastes but it’s really worth trying. The people there are very nice and the place itself offers a great atmosphere.
Anton R — Google review
Good food, chill atmosphere and the team is very nice. They even shared advice to cook the recipes back home! You can eat at any time of the day tasty and fresh seafood. We came twice for lunch and every food we ordered was worth it. Either if you pass by or if you are staying close to this place, save the address!

Great Warung! Delicious food! The menu is Balinese and Western. The staf is very friendly! The location is cosy. The live music is nice! We would like to recommend Warung Agung Amed.
Monique K — Google review
The best part about coming back to Amed, is getting the opportunity to revisit our favourite restaurants. Warung Agung is one such restaurant. The warm welcome we received and embrace from the owners Dewa and Dewi was a feel good moment for us. More so the lovely Yoman remembers us and gave us a beautiful smile and ‘nice to see you again’. You sit steps above the road and hear the locals in the street, including the dogs, traffic passing by and chatter from fellow diners, as well as Dewa blasting out some tunes in the back corner. It’s a great dining experience. We always know we are going to enjoy a great meal at Warung Agung and Dewi is happy to change the menu you for us to suit our dietary requirements. Thanks Dewi. 🙏 You know we will be back again, this trip and subsequent.
Ann-Marie C — Google review
A great and popular place to come and enjoy food, whether Indonesian, Balinese or Western. Warm welcome, friendly atmosphere, live music, tasty and fresh food, what else do you want? The three nights we stayed in Amed the Warung/restaurant was full. We ended up booking ahead of time and got in on the third night. Lovely place.
Nathalie S — Google review
The perfect restaurant for traditional Balinese food. We met Dewi, the owner and chef. She was so happy to meet and talk to us and provide her recommendations on menu choices. The seafood was so good, freshly caught Tuna, grilled Mahi Mahi and the delicious Prawns were all cooked to perfection.
Steve B — Google review
I really enjoyed my experience here! The food was delicious and freshly prepared. What made it extra special was that I got to catch my own fish in the morning and they prepared for me at evening — such a unique and memorable experience. Everything was perfectly seasoned, and the owners and staff are super friendly. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for something different and authentic!
Vittorio C — Google review
Good variety of live music that isn’t so loud you can’t talk (a good restaurant volume, not bar loud) good food, friendly staff. Can get busy so don’t wait too late to come

Restaurant
Nestled along the stunning coastline of Amed, Bali, Bukit Segara Restaurant is a must-visit for food enthusiasts. This charming seafront eatery specializes in an array of cuisines, including Indonesian, Asian, European, and healthy options. The restaurant takes pride in serving fresh seafood sourced directly from local fishermen. While some may find the prices slightly elevated for a backpacker budget, many agree that the quality of food and exceptional service make it worth every penny.
Bukit Segara: A Delicious Dinner with a View I had the most amazing dinner at Bukit Segara! The restaurant has this incredible open-air vibe with a stunning view of the ocean. I mean, seriously, dining with plunge pools in the foreground? It doesn’t get much better than that. I decided to try the Maiha, and let me tell you, it was incredible! I paired it with some rice and veggies, and it was the perfect combination. They also make a killer margarita, which was the perfect way to start the meal. The atmosphere was so relaxing, and the food was just phenomenal. I can’t wait to go back and try something different from their menu. If you're in the area, Bukit Segara is an absolute must-visit!

Amazing restaurant with stunning ocean view. Great food . I had fish soup. It’s fresh and delicious like from my mom. Nice people who work there is Balinese family. Owner from Netherlands very polite and friendly. Gifted me with free coffee because I am from Ukraine and he understands our situation.

Wow! We're so happy we discovered this place. Probably the best service of any restaurant in Bali (and there are a lot good ones). But also the food is fantastic! Spicy squid rings, fish or also Nasi Goreng is outstanding.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Amed, Warung Enak and Bungalows is a delightful destination for food lovers and travelers alike. This charming eatery offers an enticing mix of Western and traditional Balinese cuisine, with standout dishes like their famous Balinese Pancakes, Wahoo Fish, and expertly grilled BBQ seafood. The restaurant's popularity is evident as it buzzes with patrons even during the quieter offseason.
Went there for a quick coffee and a dessert. The dragon fruit cheesecake (vegan) was amazing. And cappuccino with oat milk (they were out of coconut milk) was good too. Visit 2: good turmeric juice(Raw without honey) and vegan curry with extra tempeh no rice. Delicious. The pumpkin soup was exactly what I needed when I was sick! 🤒
Anurag ( — Google review
Their nasi campur special was really nice, though the individual portions were a little bit small. We appreciated the complimentary garlic bread and loved the friendly service. The pumpkin cheesecake (not a traditional cheesecake) was absolutely wonderful. We loved the deep, rich, spicy taste of the cake and the passion fruit drizzle was amazing.
Aidan — Google review
We had dinner here for more then 7 days. The food is lovely and the people are very kind. We had all kinds of food, Balinese but also the pizza and pasta are very good. And the desserts are great! They always serve table water and bruscetta for welcoming the guests. I highly recommend this warung.
Jeannette V — Google review
Warung Enak is a lovely restaurant, very cozy to sit at and friendly service. You get complimentary bruschettas and water. Very tasty meals, definitely recommend! We loved coming here a few times during our trip 😊
Lisa S — Google review
Last night, we stumbled upon Enak in Amed, all thanks to some French folks who raved about the food being “like at home.” We had to give it a try, and let me tell you, we were blown away! We ordered lasagna and vegan tomato pasta, and both were absolutely scrumptious. The flavours were spot-on! Though we wished they’d included a couple of extra lasagne pasta pieces in the dish, but no worries. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make it to dessert, even though the chocolate cake looked absolutely divine. I also had a breakfast - toast and eggs - with a delicious coffee ☕️ it felt like Italian 🫶🏼
Olivier S — Google review
Smack bang in the middle of town, easy access, parking around the corner and a place you know where the people are genuine. Ayu greeted us beautifully offering the menu and asking what we would like to drink and then eat. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and even asked the chef for a request to change the menu for us. They cook in butter and hand make their burger patties. 😊 The decor is fresh, light and feels relaxing. Wayan, the owner has done an amazing job with her renovations. It was lovely that she gave us the time for a chat and tell us about her ethos for her restaurant and family, who most of them work there. We had such a lovely experience throughout dinner, we took friends the next day for breakfast and we were equally as happy.
Ann-Marie C — Google review
Restaurant was nice and service very good. Food is 5* and I'll definitely come back to try other dishes. Water and bruschetta for starters were offered - thank you I can highly recommend the restaurant which is good accessible at the main road of Amed

We had a lovely evening here with very good food. Both the burger and the freshly grilled seafood skewers were generously sized. The lava cake to finish the meal is highly recommended.

Galanga Garden Restaurant is a charming dining spot in Amed, offering a fusion of Indonesian and Western cuisine. The menu features a variety of scrumptious options including salads, wraps, and pasta dishes with an emphasis on vegan and vegetarian choices. Guests can enjoy their meals throughout the day from breakfast to dinner. The restaurant's delightful garden setting adds to the local charm and atmosphere. Diners have praised the flavorful Indonesian dishes served on banana leaves, as well as the friendly service provided by the staff.
Unexpected beauty of this place combined with delicious meals and wonderful tastes. Galanga is kind of a restaurant you must try! Next to the road but absolutely private. You can choose classic tables or garden - which I recommend! Enjoy your best food in Bali with greetings from wonderful local staff. Reservation recommended.

Alright food - depends what food you get. Great service with a very nice and kind woman. Atmosphere is beautiful with a cat if you’re lucky. There are ants on the floor and they sometimes climb up to the table. I’d recommend to book a table since none were available on the night before. Overall 3 star.
Michael B — Google review
GEM of Amed Beauty atmosphere, definitely get a spot in the garden unless you need to be in a chair. Recommend reservations if coming during dinner time. Food is top notch and good value. Arak is home made and delicious. Staff are very attentive, helpful & speak great English. Love love love coming here.
Tanner R — Google review
Wonderful dinner in Amed! The ambience was perfect, the food — a delightful Indonesian-French fusion — was outstanding, and the service warm and attentive. Highly recommended! (Please note to book via WhatsApp)
Emanuela S — Google review
The value for money was quite good here. I ordered some jackfruit nuggets, an asian salad with tofu and a tempe burger. All of them I ordered to get picked up by the staff of the hotel I was staying in. Actually I liked the taste of everything, but I especially was surprised of the jackfruit nuggets, which I never had before. They came with a tomato sauce and were very good! Perhaps the burger could have been be a bit more intense in taste.
Thomas D — Google review
I enjoyed a delicious Jamu juice and a very nice Banana blossom curry. The presentation was lovely, the ingredients fresh and tasty. The curry however was more like a soup and the side dish of sweet potato wedges, corn and pumpkin soup (choice of three sides) was kind of out of place. I still enjoyed the meal though and the staff were friendly and efficient.
S J — Google review
This place was excellent. They serve small welcome drinks & a homemade snack upon seating. It's an adorable little garden setting with friendly staff. From the soup to the pasta to the dessert, everything was homemade with lots of love, and you can certainly taste it. It's also very fairly priced with good portion sizes.
Ericka — Google review
Friendly service, lots of options and exceptional ambiance and plating skills 🔥 We received some small snack and health shot on the house when we sat down. We popped in for a quick dinner - had a shared starter platter, tuna main and Korma chicken curry main with roti. We had a beer and banana/coconut mocktail. Everything cost us 17€ bucks which is insane given the quality, service and amount of food. Good value for money and has a fine dining feel to it. Would recommend to try them out 🥘

We came here for dinner and ordered the beef steaks. They were honestly cooked to perfection, super tender and just really delicious!! I couldn’t fault it - bang on with the flavours and cookery - one of the best steaks I’ve had. Excellent value for money and a gorgeous dinner spot. Our favourite dinner in Amed, for sure! Also, loved hot ginger drink! 😍 we wish we had stopped by for a sunset dinner, because the views would’ve been gorgeous. Not the best road getting here, quite a few potholes, so drive carefully particularly in the dark.
Corrina A — Google review
From this place I ordered some food to get picked up from the staff of the accommodation I stayed in. I had a delicious veggie pizza, some mushroom ravioli and a pumpkin salad. All of them were really good in taste! But I would have wished, that the pasta portion would have been more generous, cause it contained a few raviolis only. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the food!
Thomas D — Google review
Went there for dinner and i was blown away with the food! I ordered shrimp ravioli, beef gnocchi, seafood pizza, and beef lasagna and ALL of it was scrumptious! Food was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. This restaurant is not that big so i suggest to make a reservation upon coming there. Definitely will come back when I visit Amed next time. Keep it up!
Novieta S — Google review
Very nice . Very cozy place , food is good, prices are affordable. Pasta was a bit dry, we felt like lack of sauce, but good anyway. Tuna steak was delicious- with mashed potatoes and fried onion 🤩. Tom Yum soup was good although not very classic Tom Yum indeed. All in all , we loved the food and place ❤️
Olessya B — Google review
Favourite place in Amed! We literally ate here every night of our stay and everything we tried was divine. Highly recommend the bruschetta's. Would give this place 10 stars if I could :) We even got a present when we left on our last night, which totally melted our hearts. Thank you so so much to the lovely staff and we hope to see you again some time!!!

The place is super nice with an amazing ocean view and fresh breeze. Staff are really friendly, and the food tastes great. Totally recommend eating here! And they do delivery as well ☺️

It was absolutely fantastic! The food was out of this world — especially the pizza, which completely won me over. I can’t remember the last time I had such a perfect crust… My partner and I stumbled upon this restaurant one afternoon, and from that moment on we came back every single day until the end of our trip — even our farewell dinner on the last day was here. The staff are friendly, and as a sweet goodbye we were even treated to a brownie. I'm back in Europe now and honestly wish I could have a slice of that pizza right here, right now. Highly recommended!

Warung Sabar is a cozy and welcoming restaurant in Lipah that offers delicious food with a diverse menu. The vegetarian tempeh burger is surprisingly juicy and flavorful, even for meat eaters. The cap cay and grilled squid are also highly recommended. The service is fast and efficient, and the inclusive tax prices are a plus. However, the veranda is currently under renovation, causing some noise disturbance. The atmosphere is very welcoming, making guests feel like part of the family.
We have been here three times in three days - trying as much of the menu as possible. Everything is amazing! The fish cakes are delicious, our son loved the onion rings, our daughter the chicken satay. Everything was beautiful. Highly recommend.

Delicious and flavorful food, served in modest but satisfying portions. The place is a bit noisy due to traffic from the nearby road, but the warm and friendly staff more than makes up for it. It’s a charming little family-run restaurant, and we loved that the kids were involved and even helped bring the menus. Cozy vibe, lovely mountain view, and overall a really enjoyable dinner.
Alexander P — Google review
This was our best food experience in Amed, and one of our favorites in Bali even. We can especially recommend the grilled squid with garlic, calamari and the nasi campur. We also booked a snorkeling tour with Made as our guide and had a really nice time. He has a lot of local knowledge and knows how the tides go and differ from the norm. We saw three sea turtles and loads of fish!

Wow, what an incredible meal. A beautiful family owned business. The food is genuinely amazing, I got the pepes ikan and I can safely say it was the best seafood dish I have ever had. Beautifully cooked & seasoned, great portion size, amazing value. The family staff are all so friendly and speak amazing English too. My girlfriend has an egg and nut allergy and they were super accommodating. We will definitely be back as much as we can while we stay in Amed.

A truly fantastic lunch experience at Warung Sabar! This was easily the best meal we've had during our time in Amed. My Babi Kecap was a standout—it was so much more than just a sweet soy sauce flavor. The spices were complex and delicious, and the pork was incredibly juicy and tender. My husband's Nasi Campur was also excellent, with a great variety of flavors. Both dishes were generously portioned. We also loved our ice-cold beers and the fresh pawpaw juice. A definite must-visit for anyone in the area!

If you're seeking a dining experience with stunning sunset views, look no further than Sleeping Gajah Kitchen & Lounge in Sidemen Bali. The restaurant offers enchanting surroundings and top-notch service. Guests rave about the flavorful dishes like duck rubbed with West Sumatran spices and ayam goreng (fried chicken), both executed to perfection. The staff is described as super friendly and helpful, making every meal a delightful experience.
While on our honeymoon, we found this amazing restaurant in Sideman. The views were simply fantastic. Indah was the most amazing server, so kind and attentive. We even got to see a traditional dance. My wife enjoyed the salmon burger said it was tasty and juicy! I had a noodle dish with chicken, that came with a shrimp, chicken satay, and papaya salad, I requested dried chili flakes which they had and it really made the dish, delicious! I could easily come here for breakfast, lunch and dinner! We did not have reservations but they were able to serve us, I do recommend reservations to ensure a table.

Beautiful food in a beautiful location served by wonderful people. We just had dinner here and it was a truly memorable evening. We arrived unannounced with our young daughter and we're facilitated with the all day menu at the relatively early time for dinner of 5PM. Everything we had was truly enjoyable and the service was second to none. It's probably on the steeper side for Bali zoo but the combination of the food and the ambience made us feel that it was excellent value.
Aaron J — Google review
The food here was 4.5 stars out of 5. It was flavoursome and presented well! The views were excellent! Overlooks the Sidemen rice terrace fields and the sleeping elephant shaped hill. It rained after we arrived but still looked beautiful! The standout at this restaurant was the amazing Julia, who waited on us. She is probably the most amazing wait staff we've encountered in Bali! She was friendly, attentive, made polite conversation and even surprised us with a free dessert for our upcoming anniversary! Thank you Julia for making our dinner so memorable!
Fawwaz S — Google review
Beautiful restaurant. Lovely atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. The view was so pretty. Food was delicious, but because I was there for breakfast, did not have the full menu available. I was kind of disappointed by that because I was hoping to try some of their specific items. However, that was my fault for visiting so early, but that was my only options as I was on my way out of Sidemen. Looks like a beautiful place and I would consider staying here next time as well.
Jolynda L — Google review
A lovely restaurant overlooking the paddy fields. The view is scenic. The signage is rather obscure. It is located in Wapa de Ume Hotel. Once your car is parked, there's a buggy service to take you to the eatery. One may choose to walk as well. The peanuts chips with the Balinese sambal is simply addictive! The Kalio Nangka was braised young jackfruit topped with spinach. It was well seasoned & tasted great. Tebola yellow curry with rice was also hearty & good. Will certainly revisit to try others. Staff are warm & friendly.

Wow what a place for sunset, drinks and food! I arrived at sunset and saw the beautiful pink rosy orange colours over the valley. I was travelling by myself but felt really welcomed by the head of guest relations Sonia , the waiter and other staff. They had a delicious range of cocktails for happy hour 2 for 1 deal. I had two arak cocktails. The waiter recommended the crispy duck and it was perfection. Crunchy on the outside, soft and aromatic on the inside with delicious fragrant sambal. Special shout out to Sonia the head of guest relations, she made me feel so welcome and is just a lovely warm , genuine person and local to Sidemen. We chatted for a long time about local life, culture, Family, movies , future dream, being a working mum. I could have chatted with her for hours! Highly recommend going here for sunset happy hour drinks and dinner either with family , friends or even by yourself. The staff are amazing and warm. Oh they also had Balinese dancers, musicians for entertainment too,

Great service, good food and a stunning view! We had steaks and some cocktails for lunch. Would recommend stopping by.

Sails Restaurant in Amed is truly a gem on the coast. The setting is stunning, with sweeping ocean views that make every meal feel special, especially at sunset. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between relaxed and refined, making it just as ideal for a romantic dinner as it is for a casual gathering with friends. The menu highlights fresh, well-prepared dishes that showcase both local flavors and international influences. Seafood is a clear standout—cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. Portions are generous without compromising on quality, and the flavors are consistently balanced and memorable.Equally noteworthy is the service. The staff are warm, attentive, and create a welcoming environment where guests feel genuinely taken care of. Their attention to detail adds to the overall experience without ever being intrusive. With its breathtaking location, excellent food, and outstanding hospitality, Sails Restaurant is easily one of the best dining experiences in Amed. A must-visit for anyone traveling along Bali’s northeast coast.

Great location looking out to the sea, sufficient parking space, and amazing food! Staffs kept checking in to make sure we’re ok, and they are very patient when I kept asking for stuff like ice, spring onions and extra sour cream. Beef tenderloin was made to perfection, salmon was fresh. The chef came out to chat with us too. Amazing dinner experience overall. 😊😊

Beautiful spot above the beach for any time of the day. We had dinner and the fish was fresh and flavoursome. Staff were amazing and I would highly recommend going for a meal.

A beautiful restaurant perched on the hill with stunning ocean views. They even arranged a free driver from our villa, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was delicious, the staff were lovely, and the whole experience felt a bit more special and refined than other spots in town. It felt surprisingly quiet for how lovely it is — definitely an underrated gem. We enjoyed it so much we went back for our final night in Amed — and would definitely return again.

Had a lovely evening here. Cocktails were fantastic and service was great. A lovely view but you don't get to see the sunset. Meals were quite large and tasty.

We stopped in for dinner on our last night in Amed. Stunning ocean views and really lovely staff. My husband had chicken satay entree, fish in banana leaf main, and crepe dessert. I had the tomato bruschetta entree, black pepper beef main, and banana boat dessert (with some cocktails during the night too). It was all beautiful! Really tasty. Take the time to stop by, it's a great little place!

Bali Asli Restaurant is a hidden gem nestled among the rice fields, offering authentic Balinese cuisine and cooking classes. The menu changes daily based on market availability and garden harvests, ensuring a traditional dining experience. With wood-fired mud brick stoves and picturesque views of Mount Agung, this restaurant provides an adventurous yet serene atmosphere for couples. Its location at the foothills of Mount Agung offers stunning vistas, making it a popular tourist spot despite slightly higher prices compared to other nearby eateries.
If you’re taking a day trip to Lempuyang Temple don’t miss the opportunity to have a Meal at this restaurant. What a gem of a traditional Balinese fine dining experience! Set in rice fields, with breathtaking views of Mt Agung, and a very cool chic open air restaurant. Penelope the chef/owner and her friendly team have created something truly unique, beautiful and not to be missed.

📍The restaurant is located in the east of Bali Island. In the Karangasem area. 🖼️🌴 It is located in a very picturesque place, in the middle of the jungle, with a stunning view of the mountains. P.S. The mountains will be visible if there are no clouds. All the furniture, decor, and interior design are made in a Balinese style, which is very authentic and beautiful. 🚽 A special feature of this restaurant is the toilet. The toilet itself offers a stunning view of the mountains🙃 📜 The restaurant's menu is designed in an unusual style. It's nice to have a lot of style in the little things. 🍛🍚 Food . Balinese restaurant. I really enjoyed everything I ordered. Beautiful presentation. 🧑‍🍳 The staff is very kind, friendly, and helpful. 🙏🏼 I recommend this restaurant if you want to try local Balinese cuisine. You will also enjoy the stunning views of the mountains (volcano) and the atmosphere, style, and local lifestyle. 🤗🫶

what a great experience! We found this restaurant by chance while visiting Tirta Gangga. The target group of this place is certainly not Indonesians, however it did not disappoint in terms of taste. It was simple enough to enjoy and not overly made to the point it was pretentious. Not something I would frequent, but it was a great place to bring overseas guests and introduce them to Balinese cuisine. Staffs were very friendly and the owner herself was present to serve some of the dishes, which I found was a nice little touch of detail.

We visited this restaurant for lunch one afternoon and there was literally no one else there. What a shame. The restaurant is so beautiful. Then it has such great view of the paddy field. They even have the bathroom with a view. The staff is so very nice. And the food is great. We even loved their menu. They have a whole asli Bali (real Bali) theme going on and they have taken it very seriously. Since I am vegetarian, they made all the balinese dishes vegetarian for me. It was so very kind of them. While you are waiting for the food, they serve you rice flour chips with such tasty chutney, you would just want to eat those and nothing else.

This place is outstanding. The local food is prepared with love using very fresh ingredients. The lovely owner greeted us upon arrival and explained all of the beautiful food we would have. The staff are all very pleasant and clearly love where they work. The views are gorgeous and the restaurant is beautifully styled. A hidden gem and totally recommended if you love authentic, fresh food 💜

Small local spot with just a few tables and a visible kitchen in the middle. I ordered what they suggested—the Ikan Kelapa (fish, I think barracuda, in a yellow ginger-style sauce)—and it was delicious. The portion was on the smaller side, but enough for me. 100% recommended.

Came here like 3 times in 10 days. Excellent local food, good amount, very cheap for the quality they offer. I am vegan so they were very caring that I liked and enjoyed the food. They have tempeh rendang and tempeh satay which is out of this world.

Could not fault this little warung. Great food, service, ambience, and price. 10/10

Food was ok, my fish was very plain and tough, did not flake, and the rice was dry. But the Calamari was great. Was very busy so had a nice vibe with a sun set view. Service was very welcoming and for the price, good value.

Really good food in a beautiful warung. Staff is friendly and prices are good. To bad, that it was not so crowded when we had diner. Hope it had to do with our early arrival, as they certainly deserve to be much busier. We woul for sure come back.

We pass this restaurant everyday, usually more than once coming and going from Meditasi, where we stay. It looks inviting with the bamboo interior, thatched roofing and subtle lighting, with glimpses of the water. I read many positive reviews and thought that we need to drop-in for dinner tonight. On the first page of the menu, it tells us that they specialise in locally caught seafood, ✅, their recipes are passed down through generations, ✅, they make their own chicken stock and they do not include MSG, ✅, their salads are washed in filtered water, ✅, they reduce plastic waste by refilling water bottles, ✅ and they cook with love ✅. If that’s not enough, there aren’t any additional charges, a tip if you want, to be shared amongst their staff. ✅✅ I just realised that I didn’t take a photo of our meals. Too eager to try them. I had beef rendang and my husband had a traditional nasi goreng. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G The prices are reasonable, especially for the nasi goreng, it was a big meal. The staff are happy to have a chat with you, without being in your face. We are learning new Indonesian words so we asked for some help with that. Terimakasih 🙏 That’s my take on the place and invite you to do the same and pop-in for lunch or dinner.

Came here for supper and I left amazed. First off, the service is really great. The girls are very friendly and welcoming. I was really hungry so I had 2 meals. They have a really big menu too. I had the nasi goreng and fish & chips! Both were just absolutely delicious AND the portions are huge! I was surprised since the portions are usually small for me in Bali. Food was heavenly and the pizza was one of the best I've had. Definitely a big highlight of our Bali trip. Would love to go again!
Akanksha B — Google review
We absolutely loved the food here in Trattoria Amed. We honestly weren't expecting such amazing, high-quality dishes. The beef carpaccio was delightful, and the pizza was the best we've had in Bali. And the steak? Simply amazing—perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. We highly recommend both the steak and the pizzas! Unfortunately, we can't say the same for the seafood spaghetti. I'm sure normally its delicious but there was a miscommunication with the waitress. We were first served seafood soup by mistake, and then that same soup was apparently turned into spaghetti, resulting in all the seafood being overcooked. Despite that one hiccup, we loved it so much that we came here two days in a row. Its definetly our favorite spot in Amed!
Ece B — Google review
We really enjoyed our dinner here this evening. We had an octopus carpaccio followed by a pizza and pumpkin ravioli. It was all delicious. The service was great and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is comfortable and overlooks the sea. The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is that there weren’t enough by the glass wine options. They have lots of wine bottles so I think this would be possible.

Absolutely love this place! Every time I come here, the food is consistently delicious and the service is warm and attentive. They prepare everything really fast, yet the dishes look and taste like something from a fine dining restaurant. Highly recommend the tuna tartare – it’s so tender with a subtle smoky flavor that just melts in your mouth! Portions are huge, so you’ll never leave hungry. And I love the little touch of a complimentary bruschetta with tomatoes – such a simple but thoughtful detail. Cozy atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again. ♥️

Discovering Trattoria Amed was a true culinary revelation! From my very first visit, I was utterly captivated by the simply amazing food. It quickly became my go-to spot, and I found myself returning again and again because the quality was consistently exceptional. Not once was I disappointed; in fact, every single meal surpassed my expectations, leaving me delighted and eager for my next visit. While everything on the menu is fantastic, the steak truly stands out as the undisputed highlight. As someone from a country known for its meat, and having only recently reintroduced meat into my diet, finding such an incredible steak dinner was a game-changer. Trattoria Amed's steak is cooked to perfection, incredibly flavorful, and frankly, everything you could hope for and more. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience where every dish is a winner, especially if you appreciate a truly great steak, Trattoria Amed is an absolute must-try. You won't regret it!

The villa owner took me to this small, family-run local restaurant near where I’m staying, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip! The food is hands down some of the best Balinese dishes I’ve ever had. Their gado-gado is absolutely to die for—so good that I asked for a second serving of the sauce! 😋 The flavors are rich, fresh, and beautifully balanced. While the menu isn’t huge, they offer great vegetarian options, and they do them really well. Most meals are around IDR 40,000, which makes it super affordable! I also fell in love with their lemongrass tea—refreshing, aromatic, and the perfect complement to the meal. Thank you to the lovely family for your friendly service and delicious meals. This place truly feels like a home away from home. Highly recommended!

Vincent's is a popular spot known for its generous portions of tasty food and traditional Balinese fruits and herbal drinks. The restaurant offers a great view of the Indian Ocean, making it an ideal place to enjoy a meal. With an extensive menu featuring various options, all dishes are well-prepared and satisfying. The ambiance is laid-back with indoor or al fresco dining options and live jazz music in the background.
Best all round dinner in quite a while, started with an friendly smiley greeting and just got better as the night went on. Live jazz table side was an added bonus. We shared the tuna carpaccio and was just superb (please note the pic is of only one portion), was a little late with the camera 🫢, followed by five spice duck and salmon, both were amazing with refined flavours and a true chefs touch. To follow was dessert time, their take on coconut textures ( flavours were delicate yet complex ) and the tiramisu which definitely didn't disappoint. An added bonus was extensive wine list which led us to an interesting yet delicious bottle of Italian white wine. Anyone looking for a great night out should definitely check this place out, oh and definitely book as it fills quickly.

Vincent’s Café is an absolute gem in Bali! I loved everything about this place — from the quirky jazz bar vibe to the friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The decor is gorgeous, with Van Gogh-inspired art, cozy rattan chairs, and walls full of music history. You can sit outside in the leafy courtyard or chill inside surrounded by books, vintage photos, and art. The menu is creative, the drinks list is impressive (check out the wine cellar!), and the staff are genuinely warm and attentive. I had a delicious meal (the prawns with green beans and rice were spot on) and enjoyed a glass of wine in the sunshine. Perfect spot if you want to slow down, enjoy good music, great food, and unique surroundings. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bali who loves art, jazz, and a relaxed atmosphere!

It is known for its diverse culinary options, including local, international, Thai, and healthy dishes. Guests can also enjoy a wine bar in a serene natural setting.
The ambiance here is top notch! So nice and the staff is great. The food was very generous portions and flavorful. If you’re really hungry, try the lamb shank - it was the biggest portion and so tasty. The lychee glow fizz was so good and refreshing.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice. They really did a great job on the decoration. The view on the rice field is also nice. The staff is very friendly, but I did not like how often they interrupted our dinner to ask if everything was okay. Nevertheless, they tried their best. We had to wait a while for the food to come, while the restaurant was not so busy. The food was good and has rich taste. Keep in mind that this restaurant is significantly more expensive than your other restaurants in Sidemen.

I was expecting much more from Asri cuisine. The location is beautiful, staff very kind (as per the entire Samanvaya hotel), and even the presentation is great BUT there is NO AUTHENTIC FLAVOUR in the food. All plates ordered were standard which breaks my heart being in the Balinese cuisine. I am very sorry but you need to correct that. I was forced to leave the hotel and find better restaurants to eat to have lunch and dinner, which we had easily on the same street… I hope you can take this critic to improve and not on the negative side. The rest is great.

I first dined at Asri Dining by Samanvaya in 2023 and I was so happy to find that the quality of food + service has remained exceptional and consistent ever since. The setting has lush gardens and rice-field views, it's perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner, even if you’re not staying at the hotel. Favourite dishes: the Hot Coal Grill (chargrilled chicken skewers served sizzling over hot coals with rich peanut satay sauce) and the Corn Ribs with Smoky Paprika Butter. We left feeling very full and very happy - such a standout experience in Sidemen. Highly recommend.

Popped in for an early dinner, during cocktail hour! Fabulous is how I would describe it. Atmosphere - calm, serene, cool vibe. Extremely clean, well laid out with different seating options, inside or outside, on a terrace overlooking rice paddies, lots of options. Love it has no children after 5pm (I think is the time) so you enjoy your delicious cocktail without small people running around. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Our food was truly wonderful, we had the whipped feta / bread to start (highly recommend this) then a pizza each, the food was some of the best we have had in Sidemen (okay it was the best!).

My son enjoyed stacking rocks while we waited and I enjoyed reading my book. I just wish the ants and flies would have left us alone while eating. Maybe a fan would help?

Only popped in for a couple of cold beers. Service was ok, no stubbie holders. My beer was flat, so I'm guessing it has been frozen at some point. 40k IDR per beer is very expensive for Amed unless it's in a prime location like Sunset point. It's still a nice beach front Warung but too expensive. We won't be back.

Geat food, I had super curry with fish, vegetaboes and rise. So good. And the fresh fruit juices are si nice with a lot of fruit. The Bali local dishes are also great, we had local fish. Great that like other places they keep on going mostly Bali and Indonesian food and not trying to imitate western.
Eva C — Google review
Easily the best fish we've had in Bali! The curry was also very tasty, and we loved the lak lak. Even the juices (one watermelon, one banana mango) were delicious, way better than what we had previously.

Seafront seats in a quiet location. The grilled fish was delicious. We feel that the amount of vegetables provided as the side dish could be a bit bigger.

We found this fabulous warung on the beach our first day and we've been back every day since! They have authentic Balinese dishes which are delicious, would recommend the grilled prawns, the curries, the fish in banana leaf... All yummy. Met Ketut today, one of the chefs and she was so friendly.

Actually we just choose random place and finally we are so happy to have dinner in the great place and tasty food. The staff are really nice. Best time on sunset time, you can enjoy the food even able to swim/snorkeling in front of the restaurant.

Yes a great place for a meal right by the beach 🏖️ Beer was cold , great on a very hot day Service good & staff friendly but didn’t like staff smoking close by while they were cleaning Food was beautiful as I’ve tasted food all over Bali I think their lumpia are the best or very close Prices reasonable Great place anytime for a meal

This place was so amazing. I’m going back one more time before we leave. Amazing service Amazing cooks Amazing food I can’t even describe. Just go there and let your taste buds marvel in delight. The setting is beautiful. Top shelf all around. I will never forget the experience or the Cheesy Stiffed Chicken Breast, ever. Thank you!!

Came for friends birthday, 4 of us for dinner. We were only customers at 7pm on Sunday. Service was good and friendly. Food was disapointing. One order of grilled tuna was raw on inside, it was sent back and cooked longer, flavor was bland. I ordered beef rendang. It tasted full of garlic, no coconut milk or other spices that make up rendang. Meat was thin slices quick cooked rather than slow stewed without flavor. Only flavor came from what tasted like a generic jarred sauce added to sauteed garlic. This was served with white rice. Actually, if this dish was called a different name and served with french fries would have been ok. But definitely Not Rendang. Also the beef had several hard, white, bone-like pieces in it which was very confusing. My other friends ordered spaggehti bolognese with was fine, and the snapper which was nice.

I have been here multiple times with my partner. It is quite quiet for a place of such great quality! The live music on Tuesday night at 7:30pm was great! The fire show on Sunday night at 7:30pm was fantastic! The pool table is free to use. The pork ribs are absolutely to die for and only 180,000Rp ($18). Also the chicken florentine is phenomenal and only 150,000Rp ($15). I don’t drink alcohol so I was very happy with the extensive Mocktail list! The Virgin mojito is absolutely delicious, certainly the best virgin mojito I’ve ever had! Hands down a great place to come for good vibes! Also the bathrooms are nice and clean and well designed. I love love love Crazy Kangaroo! Highly recommended!

Great employees! Everyone was so kind and friendly. We had to wait a bit for our food but it was definitely worth it! Drinks came almost immediately after we had ordered them. I can really recommend their mocktails. However, the food was also amazing. Delicious but for an European a bit spicy at times. Still delicious! They have lots of vegetarian options and if you ask them they'll make some dishes vegan.

Crazy Kangaroo is a must do when you are in or near Candidasa! The food is exceptional with both traditional Indonesian and western food (we had one of the best fettuccine carbonara dishes we’ve ever had here), staff are friendly and accommodating, and the snooker table (yes, there’s a snooker table) is level and fast. A welcoming venue that’s way better than many of the gastro-pubs back home. Highly recommended.

For lunch, we ordered ribs, chicken wings, bruchetta, nasi campur, coke, mixed fruit juice, and water. Surprisingly, the ribs sooo dry - it's like from yesterday ribs and reheated with extra sauce on the top, lol. Nasi campur was fine, the fried egg almost burnt lol. The wings so good. The good things, The lady server-Komang extremely friendly. We were happy to have her to serve us..

Warung Lu Putu is a charming restaurant located in the village of Mendira, just a short distance from Candidasa town. The bright orange walls and pretty garden create a delightful ambiance for enjoying a variety of dishes, including local, seafood, Asian, and bar options. However, the standout dish is the crispy duck, known for its perfectly crispy skin and juicy meat infused with traditional Balinese spices. Guests have praised the restaurant for its great quality food made with fresh ingredients and an inviting atmosphere.
Got a great dining experience in Warung Lu Putu. It's not very busy when I've had lunch there, but better make a reservation . They serve Indonesian/ Balinese popular menu, western and sorbet- gelato.the service was good, the food was great and it's kinda ' dining in the garden's vibe. Definitely will come back.

Disappointing Experience The atmosphere in this restaurant is not very inviting—it feels more like a school cafeteria than a cozy dining spot. The food is average at best, nothing special, and the service is slow and not particularly friendly. The only positive thing is that they serve complimentary peanuts when ordering alcohol, but that’s a common practice in most places. Wouldn’t recommend.
Evgenia Z — Google review
Such a lovely Warung- more like a restaurant with a nice ambience and Balinese architecture. They found us a table for dinner at very short notice and sent a driver to pick us up from our hotel in record time. The Nasi Campur is very yummy and I enjoyed the Pepes Ikan too. I highly recommend the Dadar Gulung as dessert and it was very tasty.

The best lunch places for authentic Balinese cuisine, with pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff who are very welcoming and also speak English. Very clean restroom. The place is instagram worthy with green lawn, quirky posters, has an indoor fish stream, and filled with trees & plants. I would say, must visit place when in Candidasa beach. Food is great too!

We had the best meal in Candi Dasa. I had Nasi Campur with the crispiest succulent prawn and chicken and Terung Balado, the best eggplant dish I've ever had. My husband had Mee ayam with glass noodles which he loved. We couldn't fault anything. Their pick up and drop off service was spot on.

Excellent restaurant! Great food, staff, service, and sea views. We had mahi-mahi, prawn, and squid dishes. Along with a papaya salad, cold Prost beers, and yummy dessert. Highly recommended!
Christopher D — Google review
Le-Zat Restaurant, Candidasa: While our time in the area was limited, this beachfront spot proved to be a convenient and satisfying choice. We ordered the seafood grill, which was a mixed bag. The calamari was a bit chewy, the prawns were decent, but the mahi mahi fish was excellent—fresh and cooked to perfection. The tom yum soup was another standout, delivering a comforting balance of spice and flavor. The raw papaya and tomato salad was a highlight, fresh, tangy, and absolutely delightful. For the kids, we opted for a sandwich and fries, which were simple but enjoyable. The spaghetti pasta with Parmesan cheese was also well-prepared and flavorful, making it a hit at the table. For those willing to venture a bit further (about 100–200 meters from Le-Zat), there are plenty of other dining options worth considering.

Stopped here for lunch on our way to Amed. The food was so delicious, I had the balinese meal with a bit of everything, it was all amazing, hubby had the seafood curry which was also really good. It wasn’t busy when we were there (late afternoon) staff were really attentive and the views were stunning. Very reasonably priced 😊 lots of easy parking.

Nice place, with tables looking out over the water. You can buy and eat fresh lobster (of your choice) which we did. Lobsters small, but tasty. We had a variety of dishes, all pretty good. Drinks were good. Service was very friendly and good too. And they also had some local dancing too, which was good to see.

Beautiful location by the ocean. It was fairly busy when we were there but our order was taken and food delivered quite quickly. All the dishes we had were tasty, and the juices too. Prices were possible a bit high (we paid 500k for lunch for two people).

The food was delicious, but the service was just okay. I wanted to try their live lobster, but one of the staff told me it was very expensive — it felt like he thought I couldn’t afford it 😅. Luckily, the lady who took care of us during lunch was very friendly and nice. The atmosphere was quite noisy because there’s a government pedestrian project right in front of the restaurant.

Great service. Cash only. The whole resort is cash only when we visited. Food was very average. When I read the reviews I thought we were in for the best tasting food in Bali. Sadly it was tasteless and over priced. Coffee average to poor. The views are amazing. You will feast on the sunset but your taste buds will go hungry for satisfaction. Avoid better options in town!

At the seafood restaurant Warung Pantai, a delicious meal of Tuna BBQ and Fried Rice is offered. Alongside this, refreshing drinks such as arak bali, lemon tea, and ice tea are available. The Tuna BBQ set includes rice, tuna, sambal, and a side dish. Despite an initial hint of gasoline flavor (commonly used for igniting hibachi/charcoal), once the fish is combined with the sambal, this taste disappears entirely.
Nasi Campur special (pictured) was very fresh and tasty! The Fish Tum and vegterin curry are also delicious options. Overall we liked the friendly staff, good food, good vibes, and lovely spot!

Mahi mahi curry was very delicious, but everything else was so so, spaghetti carbonara had no flavor whatsoever, fried chicken breading is really hard that hurts to eat and not tasty at all. Milk shakes was not good either. Staff is nice but we waited quite a while even though we was the only people in the restaurant. Will be back only for same curry 🤣
Olga — Google review
I ordered Tuna BBQ & Fried Rice for meals. For drinks i had arak bali, lemon tea, and ice tea. For the Tuna BBQ 45k you already got the whole set. Rice, tuna, sambal, and side dish. At first I slightly tasted something like gasoline (usually used for triggering the hibachi/charcoal for bbq). But then after combining the fish and the sambal, you will not taste that anymore. All you can taste was sambal and fish. For the fish it was super fresh, still juicy, perfectly cooked. Well for the fried rice is just like usual fried rice in Indonesia but cooked with vegetables. Overall, compared to the price and its quality, it's a standard here. In the other hand, you might find another restaurant cheaper than this

The enchanting garden setting, illuminated by candlelight in the evenings, creates a romantic and cozy atmosphere perfect for intimate dinners. Locals frequently flock here for its authentic Balinese cuisine bursting with flavor and made from fresh ingredients.
Wow, while we were wandering along the Jalan (road) we discovered the Joglo (something classic), did a quick google look and decided to come back for dinner. We were not disappointed, very very good. We had 2 Starters, shared an Entree, 2 Mains and shared a Dessert and all were outstanding. The starters, special (not on the menu) order of Urab Salad and a more classic Tomato Soup, Entree of 4 Chicken Satay's (we ate 2 before the photo), Mains consisted of Chicken Cordon Bluè served with side compliment vegetables (the mash potato was sensational), and Seafood Spaghetti Aglio Olio (beutifully rich in olive oil), and finishing with Caramelised Banana (kind of like a banana split). Thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful..... Kudo's (well done) to Chef Kadek Suardika, amazing tastes and flavours. The floor staff service was extremely attentive and prompt. The Balinese atmosphere and decor, very good, similar to another restaurant a few doors down that we frequent (see my other reviews for the name). To the owner, Ibu Wayan, you have an excellent restaurant and after chatting with you, well done for continuing this restaurant after your loss. Reopened after the Pandemic and rebuilding the clientelle all over again, an arduous task, so Kudo's to you 🙏. Overall, a wonderful experience, we will return when on our next off days in Candidasa. To my readers and followers, please give this restaurant an opportunity to tantalise your taste-buds....I am sure you will enjoy (check out the photos) Enjoy.............

To start, I would give 0 stars if I could. My friends and I ordered for takeaway, as it was recommended by the villa manager where we were staying in Manggis. We got a mixture of food to share and every single dish was absolutely unpalatable. The prawn cracks were stale. The fish was rock hard. Chips oily. Sauce did not taste like sweet and sour. Noodles drenched in black pepper. The list goes on. This is the worst food we have ever had in our lives!! I don’t even write reviews usually but I cannot believe how much we were disappointed.

This charming family-run restaurant offers an authentic Indonesian menu that is both delicious and budget-friendly. The meals are prepared fresh after you place your order, which means there might be a bit of a wait—definitely worth it! With its warm atmosphere reminiscent of home cooking, it's an experience not to miss when in Amed.
Good place to try local cuisine at good prices! We were again to try the traditional chicken betutu (you have to make a reservation at least one day before) and it was amazing. We have walked past on two previous occasions. Thankfully, this time, we stopped for dinner..... From the moment we stopped to view the street menu, we were greeted warmly by Agus (who was our server). We arrived a little later in the evening, which was no problem to the staff. While we browsed the extensive menu, we were presented with complimentary hot bread rolls with garlic butter, very nice indeed..... We decided on Mutton Samosa's to share as a starter (with the most beautiful mint accompliment) followed by mains of Chicken Cordon Bluè and Grilled Mahi Mahi, both served with a selection of vegetables and the silkiest mash potato ever. We weren't going for dessert, but the Housemade Cinnamon Ice Cream was too tempting, naughty, but very nice. To Agus and the front girls (sorry, I dont know your names), Chef Ketut, and his girls in the kitchen....a HUGE thank you for an outstanding and very enjoyable memorable evening. We will be back, Makasih.........

It was a quiet almost empty, if quite a pretty place. One of the servers kept walking around and freely coughing. My starter of pappadums was okay, if a little stale. The fried chicken masala was lovely but the garlic nan bread was flat like tortilla bread, and it was chewy. I told the man and he gave me a portion of white rice instead which was actually good and hot (makes a change in Bali). They do sell Heineken for the same as a bottle of Bintang ($4++) which is good. I might go back ...

Place was dirty, toilets were disgusting. My snapper was overpriced at 24 Australian dollars, never order fish priced per 100grams. I got rice instead of the chips I ordered, i received the chips but then they charged me extra for them. All in all a bad experience with my wife and I ending up paying over A$50 for the experience and she only had soup. The reviews must be fake, there’s no way they are having such a vastly different experience. Do you self a favour and keep on walking by

We have been in Candidasa for a few days now and eaten at several of the restaurants but la rouge has been by far the best so far. I had the Mahi-Mahi special served in basil pesto with garlic roasted vegetables and chunky chips, the mahi-mahi was cooked to perfection and the flavours on the plate worked perfectly together; it was delicious! My partner had chicken cordon bleu which also looked perfectly cooked, she agrees it was our best meal here thus far. As well as the flavours the food was beautifully presented and the staff extremely friendly and helpful! Returned here this evening and were not disappointed, it was if possible even better than before I had the crab cake starter; they were the best crab cakes I've ever had, followed by the lamb chops which were again cooked to perfection; succulent and full of flavour! For dessert I had perfitorols which were filled with both a layer of whipped cream and a layer of ice cream... incredible! Certainly a 5 star restaurant and one of the best I've eaten at anywhere in the world.

Nestled amidst the picturesque landscape of Candidasa, The Dining Room is a charming two-tiered thatch-roofed restaurant offering stunning views of rolling green hills and the bay. Known for its wood-fire pizzas made from fresh local produce, it has earned a reputation as one of the best pizza spots in Candidasa. The restaurant also features a romantic-style decor with bright white furniture and a mosaic-covered oven at the entrance.
Have dropped by for takeout twice now after long days of driving. The service was fast and got food out pretty quickly. The dining room is a cool "palapa" with a nice bar. Also attached liquor store with a good selection of liquor, wine, and beer. I found an IPA beer which is hard to find in Bali.

Best mie goreng so far in Bali!! The apple cake was also freshly baked and warm. The staff is lovely and cat Mimi is so cute. The kitchen is clean, music is nice, toilets are clean. There’s also a booklet on every table about Candidasa and the Balinese culture, which was super interesting!

Had the chicken Tacos and chicken in house wood fire supreme pizza and they were both amazing! Putri was our host and she was just as good as the food if not better. So friendly and welcoming. I can highly recommend this place. Massive range of wines and beers not seen anywhere else in Bali over my years of coming and going. Thank you so much!

Lovely staff and setting for a meal, recommend coming here if in town. I had the steak, one of the best meals I had in Bali and a couple of summer ales. Lots of choice on the menu for food and drinks to suit everybody

Pizza was very good. White pizza was salty but exactly what I wanted. Mushroom pizza was good, sauce tasted a little sweet. Very nice service and very good black rice pudding. Fresh breeze was nice after a hot day. There was a karaoke bar not far and we could hear the terrible singing but it was funny. Would recommend.

Astawa Warung is a delightful culinary gem nestled near Jl. Raya Candidasa in Sengkidu, Karangasem, Bali. This charming eatery has recently reopened its doors and is already making waves among locals and visitors alike. The menu features an array of Asian and Indonesian dishes that are crafted with love by the owner and his wife, who also provides warm service to guests.
Amazing food, big portions , great prices . Clean ,fresh , lovely staff. The best food we had in Candidasa. Will be back

Very nice place in Candidasa. We love it. Indonésian foods are amazing. Staff is so friendly and nice. Thank you for a nice time we spent here.

The food quality is excellent. I visited a few times and everything was always very fresh. The service is exceptional and very observant. On my last night I had the special duck and it was phenomenal!! The Balinese style stuffing and the crispy perfectly cooked tender meat was to die for. The only bitter aftertaste was the 17% service charge and tax. Just include it in your menu prices.
Hardy E — Google review
Astawa Warung is located about 50 meters from our hotel and has been a great find. The menu offers plenty of local Balinese/Indonesian dishes as well as other Asian options. Portion sizes are surprisingly large. Prices are much cheaper than at the hotel — not the cheapest on the island, but absolutely worth it for what you get. The food is really delicious. If you want a more authentic local taste, tell them to add more spice. By default, the flavor is slightly adjusted for tourists and made milder. Service is very friendly and fast. We have eaten here several times and plan to come back again. Highly recommend trying the duck, but you need to order it a day in advance — definitely worth it. Keep in mind: the warung is located right by the roadside, so there is some traffic noise. Most warungs in this area are set up the same way, so it’s part of the experience. Bonus: from here you can also ask for “taxi” service. The local guys can take you by scooter to places where tourists normally wouldn’t go — all for a very reasonable price. Overall, a great place if you want real local flavors, good portions, and fair prices. Recommended.

The seafood restaurant Warung BintAng in Atrium Candidasa has amazing views of the mountain and offers a variety of seafood dishes, including tom yum soup. The staff is friendly and polite, making it a great place to enjoy a meal.
Another delightful meal at Warung Bintang. The food is so good we keep coming back for more. The pork spare ribs were meltingly good with a well balanced BBQ sauce and the sautéed vegetables were cooked to perfection. Thai chicken curry was also a winner. The portions were very generous so we didn’t have room for dessert although I have my eye on the warm chocolate cake and home made ginger beer. I guess we’ll have to come back tomorrow. Love the setting overlooking the rice fields. Service was excellent and food delivery very fast. Highly recommended.

Visited twice during our 3 night stay in Candidasa. Mahi-mahi with garlic and caper fish sauce was one of my top 10 meals in the world! And that's saying something. Staff are friendly and food delicious, prices great. Cute little place overlooking rice fields, I would return to Candidasa just to eat here.

Warung Bintang could not be more aptly named. There is not a single dish on the menu I would not order and many I have ordered several times over. It is the staff that really make it though. I won’t recommend anything because it is all excellent but please, if you like a little alcohol, please, please try the homemade ginger beer. It’s not always ready but if you are hanging around Candi, just ask Made when the next batch is ready. And as one more suggestion, share a slice of the coconut cream pie, I don’t care how full you are and you have to take it home, just do it. Such a beautiful place and such beautiful people. Saya suka Warung Bintang!

The Hot Dog Shop is a small, unassuming spot run by friendly Aussie owners in Bali. Despite its simple appearance, the place offers fantastic burgers and American hot dogs. The bread used for the burgers is specially made in Denpasar and complements the delicious fillings. With limited seating inside, it's best to arrive early or opt for takeout due to the constant traffic outside. The shop's unique street appeal and interesting art create a charming atmosphere.
Actually is really good and cheap as well, satisfies the craving for a burger or hot dog! The ingredients tasted fresh. We enjoyed our hot dog shop experience.

cool spot. no frills and small eating area (but also extra spade upstairs) but really good burger and hot dog (with imported condiments). menu is bigger than just the name; have various sandwiches and seafood and the like posted at the entrance. it’s part of a larger budget motel/home stay. owner is friendly. they have off street parking. worth a shot.

🍔Simple, roadside hotdog stand that knows their dogs and burgers! Unique street appeal with the funky shop front, and once you step in it's a wonderland of interesting art. The food was simple but delicious and satisfying.... And more choice in burgers and dogs than we expected. I know it's an Auzzie thing, but I now concur that beetroot definitely belongs on a burger!!! Be real: you won't find nasi goreng here; only burgers, dogs & beer! 😜🍔🌭🍺

Nestled in the heart of Candidasa, Watergarden Kafe is a delightful dining spot that promises a warm and inviting atmosphere. Although I didn't stay at the hotel, my evening visit for dinner was memorable. The friendly service made me feel right at home, and the extensive menu offered an array of delicious options, including a fantastic kids' menu.
The lovely Indonesian gentlemen we met twice who served us, was truly so lovely - your smile was a delight, Thank you for being so welcoming. The food is really so delicious. Definitely order a Tom Collin’s! Charming!!!

My mom and I came to the restaurant several times while staying in Candidasa. The food was not consistent in the sense that sometimes we would order the same dishes, but they would be slightly different each time. We didn’t mind because every time, they were delicious! The servers are always kind and attentive. Prices are good for the portions and quality of the food. They accepted card and tap to pay.

We did not have a room here, and we only visited the Kafe, one evening for dinner. The service was friendly and warm, and there was a great selection of food and drinks on the menu. There is also a very good kids menu too!! There was a bit of a wait for the food, but we were provided with some lovely breads to snack on while we were waiting, and the food was well worth the wait!!! It was fresh and tasty, and you could tell that it was freshly prepared and cooked. The restaurant was a lovely layout and was clean and tidy l. However, it did lack air conditioning. The staff kindly put the ceiling fans on, which helped. This place was a lovely find, and it is definitely worth returning to.

I don’t get how this place gets so many good reviews. Where do I start? The place itself has zero vibe. There was so lame commercial music playing in the background. The interior design is super cheap (each piece of furniture looks awful with the rest). You can hear the traffic from the road. We ordered two pizzas. How surprised we were when the waitress brought them! They were two tiny size pizzas - about 20 cm of diameter each. And they were obviously frozen! The salad was better as it was fresh, but not super tasty. This place has no interest. Warungs serve better food.
Laura T — Google review
Very disappointing dishes. Ordered grilled fish and it turned out to be grilled tuna steak with very weird taste. ---Updated on 16th May --- Since the owner of the restaurant asked, i will post my reply here: 1. I did feedback to your staff that i am disappointed at your fish. I finished all of my food because IT IS EXPENSIVE and I was really hungry (which made me even more disappointed that after such long waiting time, the food turned out to be a disaster, and we were the only two customers in the restaurant at that time!). I really don't like your attitude of accusing customers for "not saying anything to your staff after eating all of my food". So I will change the review to one star. If there is zero star, i will definitely give a zero star review. 2. I swear that I did not receive any feedback form after my meal. I pity the owner of this restaurant that they offered such awful dishes, yet the owner does not reflect on why their business is so bad (we were the only two customers in the restaurant for two hours at dinner time), and in return, accuses the customers for leaving a bad review.

If you're on the hunt for a lively dining experience in Candidasa, look no further than New Queen Pub & Restaurant. What a delight to visit the Queen Pub during our visit to Candidasa. We had pizza which could’ve been classified as pretty ordinary, but for some reason, it absolutely hit the spot! It was surprising how much we loved it! But when you add the coldest beer that we have had in Bali and superb service and a live reggae band it was an amazing evening.

Yesterday I went to this restaurant, ordered this, and got terrible food poisoning. I've been traveling for almost three months, traveling all over Southeast Asia eating at restaurants every day, and this is the first time I've gotten sick. That's why I don't recommend it because I'm sure something was off because it had a strange taste, but I didn't pay attention. DON'T GO!

The staff here is very friendly, though they could do a little bit of a better job at serving the food at the same time. The other people with who I was with received their food about 5 minutes before me, which isn’t horrible, but could improve. We were there when there was no live band playing, hence why I left the stars empty for Atmosphere. While there was no live band, they played reggae, which was fitting as it was a reggae/bob marley themed restaurant. The food itself was a little bit disappointing. The pan-fried Calamari had little flavour, and the tofu did not live up to it’s usual standards. The ice cream was extremely delicious as was the fried banana.

So to start from the beginning the Servis and the hole staff was sitting on the phone not really trying to be nice ! Only one boy was very helpful and professional! The location is nice and clean and you have the view of the lotus park . ( noises because of the cars passing) Our waitress wasn’t really pleasant taking our order !we had a very nice picture in our mind of kind and helpful people ind Bali , with her as our waitress everything was an disaapointment! We order two Balinese plates and the chicken was smelling bad and had still wings on the skin ! Actually we didn’t find what was eateble from our plates! So we left hungry .( good that we had steaks rice ) For the reason that me and my partner are in the hospitality business ( he is a chef ) we understand somethings but this would be a disappointment for everybody else too .

Warung Amed Sea View is a charming family-owned restaurant located on the beach. Despite its unassuming exterior, it offers a pleasant surprise with good Wi-Fi, making it an ideal spot for remote work. The menu features typical Indonesian warung dishes, but stands out with its incredibly fresh and delicious fish options. Visitors highly recommend the grilled fish, particularly the Mahi-Mahi which is caught daily.
In preparation for our stay in Amed I came across a tip via social media about a simple Warung in Amed, "Warung Amed Sea View". Pay attention because there is another one with almost the same name. We were going to stay in Amed for 4 nights and went there the first night because it was also close to our hotel. What happened after that first time never happens to us because we like surprises. We cheated once because we had lunch at a snorkeling beach. We went to "Warung Amed Sea View" 7 times in total... What a great woman is in the kitchen, the service is also fantastic and the owner is a nice guy. But it's all about the food, everything from a mie goreng to their mixed fish platter, insane. Shrimp as shrimp should taste, mahi mahi as tender as butter and squid with a great grilled flavor. No fuss with sauces that have to give flavor only with freshly made "sambal matah". When they asked how it tasted I said hmmm not a ten, she looked a bit disappointed, but when I said an 11 I saw a grin from ear to ear. I understand that this all sounds quite exaggerated, "it already is". But this team deserves to be visited at least once by everyone who reads this. Don't immediately go to those trendy sunset point bars, but do something weird and visit "Warung Amed Sea View". A solid 11, and those who know me a little know how critical I can be. You won't regret a visit to "Warung Amed Sea View"!

My Nasi Campur was pretty ordinary. I was surprised the chicken was a full schnitzel. Needed some fresh ingredients or a nice Sayur Urap and Sambal or other sauce, dry in parts and oily in others. Friendly staff and great watermelon juice.

I have been travelling around Indonesia for over a month and this is one of (if not the) best meals i have had. I had the grilled fish of the day which was tuna, with rice and garlic sauce and it was so so good! Everything was so fresh and flavourful. The staff are really helpful and patient. You have a beautiful view of the ocean whilst you eat. If you are in Amed, you really need to eat here at least once. Note that it is cash only, i only had 80k and wish i had brought more with me so I could try more of the menu.

Absolutely loved this place. Came here lunch and dinner every day as we were staying close by. The service was so friendly and we did not have a single bad meal. Loved the fish, the nasi goreng, the mixed juice, everything. It is worth coming down this end of town for a good meal at reasonable prices unlike some other tourist restaurants in Amed. We had a 2 year old who enjoyed playing with the little girl who kindly lent him some toys. Thanks so much, Seaview!

My partner and I stumbled across this place and stopped for lunch. We both got the grilled fresh fish of the day with vegetables and rice. The food was amazing! The waitress was also incredibly nice! After realizing that it was a cash only place (I had none on hand), and that my accommodation wasn’t too close, she drove me down to pick up the cash and drove me back up. I will definitely be back soon!

I discovered this warung early in my stay in Amed, and then I began coming here for lunch and dinner on the daily! It is just a little walk from Ganesha, where I was staying, and the calamari didn’t have to walk much further from the shore to my plate! The service was bright and friendly, even when, on the first visit, I hadn’t realised that it was cash only - Ayu was very forgiving, and allowed me to run home to get physical money. Everything was superb and fresh - I’m only disappointed I’m not staying longer, so to try all the dishes!

Joglo D' Uma is a local Balinese restaurant that offers affordable traditional dishes with a stunning scenic backdrop. Good value local Balinese dishes where the view is the star. Our kids loved the fresh strawberry juice whilst our coconuts were adorned with flowers picked freshly in front of us in the garden below. cons: - chicken gordon bleu with tomato sauce over the dishes looks weird to me but tastes good pros: - service was fast - tastes good, may be to mild for me being Balinese - portion vs taste was value for money - chicken satay, was tender - rice was well-steamed

It's a cute and tiny restaurant. The view is one of the best I've seen in Bali. The service is ok, the food is good but not wow. It was very nice that it had live traditional music. The prices are good. Some of the vegetables they use are from their own garden, which I find very nice. If you are in the neighbourhood you should try it out, but to come from a distance just for this it is not worth it.

Absolutely love this place. Wonderful view with delish value for money local dish. The sambal matta is one of the best in Bali. Had 2 lunches here and will come back again.

The best place to eat in Sidemen! I had dinner every evening at Joglo D‘Uma during my stay, because it was just so yummy. Indonesian and western food made with fresh ingredients. On top you get a breathtaking view of the ricefields and wonderful music played by the owner. You can feel that this family business is run by heart, everybody is so attentive and kind. I will come back during my next stay! Suksma, terima kasih banyak Kadek and Family 🤍🤍🤍 Miriam

Notably, all vegetables used in their dishes are 100% organic and come directly from the farm. This hidden gem among local warungs provides incredible value for money with its affordable prices and delightful complimentary gifts.
Absolutely wonderful dinner! Delicious, home cooked meal. Pork black pepper sauce 10/10. Sweet and sour pork also amazing. Really recommend it, cheap prices and good service! Forgot to take photos until we almost finished!

Lovely local family owned Warung. Ida the mother makes all the food with so much love and care. Had an amazing fresh watermelon lime juice to rehydrate after the hike here and had the tempe sambal with Gado-Gado peanut sauce with tempe was absolutely A1. Must try for anyone in sidemen ☺️.

We visited a lot of warungs in Sidemen but this one has definitely the best food! ❤️ The food here is different, everything is made by an experienced cook who decided to quit the job in the restaurant and open her own place If you try the food here you won't regret it! We recommend the mie goreng (it's the best i've tried in Bali), vegetable noodle soup, the pork with black pepper sauce and the pineapple chicken.

Very nice family restaurant! Ida is cooking herself and it's delicious. We were walking by at 21:30 just before closing time and they opened the kitchen for us, so lovely of them wow. Thanks again!

We had nice food here! There is a vegetarian menu with 5 or 6 things on it, most of which can be made vegan by removing the egg. The staff were nice and helpful. Price is good. Portions were big, tasty and healthy.

This may have been the best meal I’ve had in Bali! It was lemon soy sauce, chicken, and it was phenomenal! The restaurant itself is very clean, cozy and welcoming. The family that owns it is lovely. I highly recommend and will probably be going back tomorrow 😜

Delicious food and very friendly owner. The restaurant has some good views over the rice terraces and mountains. We order the sweet&sour chicken and two other dishes who were all excellent. Not expensive and good portions as well. Prepare for some mosquitos after sundown

Balinese restaurant
Warung Smiley, a small restaurant in Candidasa, is known for its pleasant atmosphere and music. The food here is definitely worth trying. The owner, Smiley, used to work at resorts before opening his own place. He is friendly and welcoming, providing excellent customer service and knowledge of drinks and food. Along with his wife Manx, they cook high-quality and delicious Balinese cuisine that is both nutritious and abundant.
This experience was a joy! As documented by many other reviewers, they offer complimentary pickup and drop-off by the aptly named Smiley himself - which truly sets the tone for the whole experience! The pork ribs were exceptional - that marinade is just the ultimate! My wife loved her fresh fish, and my kid’s fish and chips was as great as fish and chips gets! The Beef Rendang was, well… kinda weird. Tasty for sure, but not rendang as I’ve experienced anywhere ever - I thought they must have brought out the wrong dish, but it’s how they do it. Kids spaghetti definitely needed less salt - but nothing could diminish this most enjoyable meal! Also love their concept of YouTube clips being chosen by customer (we got to choose 5) - fabulous, fun, inclusive idea. Overall - highly recommended and will return for sure when next in Candidasa!

No airs and graces here at this family Warung/Restaraunt. Just good Local and Western food if you prefer at very reasonable prices. Go the local food choice and can request spicy or not so spicy. The taste will always be remembered. Also try the Ginger and Lemongrass non alcoholic drink. So refreshing. The smiles here at Warung Smiley come free and will last forever. 5 People 2 Courses for $70 aud. Now that's value plus.

We ate here in one of the evenings of our staying in Candidasa and we enjoyed the food and the hospitality of the owners. We ordered crispy duck and grilled snapper. Both were very good, but I especially want to praise the duck 🦆, that was yummy😋. We wanted to eat there again next evening but it was full and we had to eat in another warung nearby where the duck portion was bigger, but it wasn't as good..

Bliss Cafe in Amed is a small and welcoming seafood restaurant that offers an incredible dining experience. After spending a few weeks exploring the area and trying numerous restaurants, Bliss Cafe stood out as one of the few establishments worth revisiting. The friendly atmosphere coupled with the outstanding food make it a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic local cuisine. Their perfectly cooked local fish, served alongside crunchy vegetables, was simply amazing. Additionally, their fried bananas were unparalleled in taste and quality.
Cooling place despite the hot afternoon sun. Needed a cold drink before we continue our journey. Ordered papaya and pineapple juices Rp20k each. They were so fresh and cold. We were tempted by grilled mahi-mahi Rp50k so we decided to order it too. No regrets. Have been back everyday during our stay at Amed since. They accept cash only.

Bliss by name, bliss by nature. I met Katook, who owns Bliss with his wife, Kadek. Great seafood dishes and super friendly (family) staff. We look over a sea salt farm at the back of the cafe. Road >cafe>salt farm> beach>Bali Sea. Where we are staying Kembali Beach Bungalows and they have a relationship with Katook and Bliss who deliver meals as take-a-way. We are working through the menu and loving it all. Fish in banana leaf shown in pic.

Great experience, we have spent few weeks in Amed, tried many restaurants and this one was one of the few restaurants we went back to. The restaurant is small but very friendly and the food is just amazing! We had the local fish and fried bananas! The fish was perfectly cooked with crunchy vegetables on the side! The fried bananas were the best I've ever had. Highly recommended it to anyone who would like to taste some nice local food!

Grilled fish was delicious and portions are big. My partner took the Nasi Campur with chicken and tempeh and it was also great! As it is open at both sides, it is very nice place to eat with some wind!
Natalia M — Google review
Awesome little restaurant serving fantastically tasty Indonesian food. Not many tables but some big tables that will accommodate large groups. All tables are well maintained and clean with a few condiments provided and paper napkins. The food menu has a nice variety including all the Indonesian favourites like Nasi champur, goreng, gado gado, grilled seafood etc. There are a few options for vegetarians which is very welcome for me. My girlfriend has taken a few times the grilled prawns, she says these are fresh, full of flavour and come perfectly accompanied by veg/rice and a sambal that she requests super spicy. I cant get away from the vegetarian gado gado, this is fantastic! A thick peanut sauce with tofu, tempe, mixed vegetables and rice, this really is a super tasty dish for me, I really enjoyed this! All dishes come well prepared and presented plus a very generous portion size. Drinks are limited, you will find coffee, teas, fruit juices, beer but no wine and no cocktails. The three cocktails they have are made from arak, these are very strong, basic but very tasty! Everything is also at very reasonable prices so you can get a good meal if your on a budget. Overall a fantastic little restaurant with superb food at reasonable prices!

we ordered grilled mahi mahi fish, it was delicious, but not grilled but fried. we also ordered carbonara pasta, but we had to refuse the pasta because it was impossible to eat. Wow! They first drove us to the restaurant. Very good service in restaurant. There was a singer with beautiful music. The food was very good and the price okay! Ambiente perfect right in the sea with windows open and candle. After all that they drove us back to the hotel! Loved it, very nice staff :)

We ate at Garpu while staying at Ramayana Resort for a couple days. During that time we had breakfast twice (included with hotel stay) and lunch once. Both visits to breakfast were lovely. There was a pretty decent selection of foods to choose from. Everything tasted as good as you might expect for an included breakfast, and there was fresh coffee and a make your own tea option. Unfortunately lunch did not live up to our expectations, hence the 3* review. The Thai Seafood Curry was bland and lacked nearly any flavor associated with a curry. The seafood was also clearly unseasoned and overcooked. The Gado Gado was even worse and bordered on concerning. My wife and I both spit out the piece of tofu we tried and questioned whether it had gone bad. The staff and the view were amazing, but there is a lot of room for improvement on the food.

What wonderful staff, particularly Kadek and Uni, who couldn’t do enough for us. We were both ill while staying at the resort, but they made sure we had everything we needed and more. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed and inviting and the food is good.

Komang John Cafe is a charming dining spot located in the Ibus Beach area of Amed. The cafe offers incredibly fresh and delicious Indonesian food, including dishes like pepes ikan and Balinese curry. Guests can also enjoy live music performances while savoring their meals. The attentive staff ensures a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal place to dine while staying at Blue Moon Villas.
Our favourite of all restaurants in Amed. The staff are happy to chat, so helpful and we try out our basic Balinese and all giggle as we are corrected! It’s a fun and immersive dining experience. But more importantly, the menu is extensive, very well priced and cooked to perfection. If you want an authentic satay experience, Bali style, it’s amazing. Little charcoal grills keep your meat hot while you savour the bite of soft and delicious meat smothered in one of the best peanut satay sauces I’ve ever tasted. The view just adds to the atmosphere. Plenty of parking for scooters, or just a short stroll from most of the villas and air BnB’s in this area. Don’t punish your tastebuds by walking on by, go on up and give them the treat of a lifetime!

Delicious and very fresh food - we had the pepes ikan and Balinese curry - both perfectly cooked. Ketut also makes a very, very good margarita. Warung Dapur Kapulaga is a small family-owned restaurant in Sidemen that offers delicious and fresh food with friendly hospitality. The menu includes both local and western options but the local dishes come highly recommended. The staff and owner are known for their warm service.
Great food and very nice owner and service - this is a family run restaurant. We had free banana fritters for dessert. We also had one of their special drinks with pineapple juice, coconut water, mint and lime (I think they call it « sidemen cooler ») and it was super fresh and delicious too!

The Warung Amsha is a great place to get delicious Indonesian food at a fraction of the price. They have low tables which makes it easy to relax with your baby while you eat. The owner was very friendly and we enjoyed chatting with her. The dishes were amazing, especially the satay. It's an affordable restaurant and they have a lot of different types of chips - perfect for changing it up with your meal!
Their tempe satay is amazing! I’m still thinking about that peanut sauce. Also really affordable place + owners were super sweet! (You can ask for their homemade sambal with your meal, recommend trying!)

I visited Warung Amsha Amed twice during my stay, and while the food was consistently lovely on both nights, the service experience was very mixed. On the first visit, the service was superb and made the evening really enjoyable. However, on the second night the service was surprisingly slow (even by Bali standards), and when I asked if a table could be set outside, the waitress refused, despite this having been done for other guests the night before. Strangely, during the same evening, another solo traveler was allowed to have a table set outside without issue, and a large Australian group simply kept adding tables to their outdoor setup without asking. The inconsistent treatment left me feeling disappointed, especially after such a great first experience.

Nestled in the heart of Bali, Warung Indah is a delightful gem that offers an unforgettable dining experience. The warm and welcoming staff create a friendly atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Their iced coffee topped with French Vanilla ice cream is a must-try, while the local Indonesian dishes like mie goreng and nasi goreng are both delicious and perfectly portioned.
The food here is spectacular! We went to have the pepes ikan and the sate lilit. It was so good we made a booking for the next day to have two bebek betutu ducks... wow we were blown away by the flavour and tenderness of the duck and the lawar served with it was so tasty. We had a chat with Made the owner he told us people tell him he should charge a lot more for the food but he refuses saying he would rather serve good food at good prices and the customers will come back because they have not been ripped off and can have an amazing local experience for a good and fair price. He recently added a stunning extension to the dining area built from bamboo giving it a nice tropical feel. They also rent snorkelling gear to view the reef and fish in front of the restaurant. Such lovely staff that look after you with a friendly, helpful manner that will make you come back again. Thanks again for everything, we look forward to going back again.

We came here for lunch and really enjoyed the view and peaceful vibe. The local Indonesian dishes like mie goreng and nasi goreng were tasty and well-balanced. Portions were just right – not too big, not too small – and everything was served with a smile. One fun (and very Bali) detail: there were live chickens wandering around outside – and at one point, one of them even walked into the restaurant. Definitely a reminder that the ingredients are fresh and close by! The only thing we wouldn’t recommend is the sandwich – it’s just soft toast with cold ham and cheese. Not bad, just very basic.

This place was such a great find! We went there almost everyday for the great food, friendly staff and awesome snorkeling. They will rent you gear at the restaurant and can also set you up with tours massages etc. The fish is also as fresh as it gets. We saw a fisherman come up on the beach and sell the fish directly to the chef, which we promptly had him cook up for us. Definitely worth a visit!

The staff is very hospitable, King and friendly. The iced coffee with French Vanilla ice cream is sooo yummy. The food is delicious and prices are fair. We sat, had coffee, went snorkeling, then came back and ate. It was perfect. They have water at the entry off the beach to rinse off the sand. The restaurant is very clean and quaint. I love kistening to the chickens running around. There are a few. A baby chicken came inside and was looking for its mother. So cute. Welcome to Bali! 😂

Best Mahi Mahi in the area!! Everything else is great too. Wish we would have gone here more.
Jen W — Google review
We came here really hungry and ordered the soup, spring rolls, and a vegetable curry. The food itself was actually delicious — full of flavour and beautifully presented. However, the waiting time was a nightmare. After finishing my soup, we were still waiting for the veg curry for what felt like forever. No one came over to explain the delay or give an estimate. We were already about to pay for just what we had eaten and leave when the last dish finally arrived. The prices are on the higher side, and while the quality of the food is good, I personally don’t think it’s worth the long wait — especially if you’re very hungry or short on time. Also, a note on the bathroom experience: I followed a staff member assuming there were multiple stalls, only to walk in and find out there was just one cabin, and she hadn’t locked the door. That was quite awkward. Then, after washing my hands, the sink started leaking water onto my feet — not terrible, but definitely not ideal. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but I’d think twice about returning, especially if service and facilities aren’t improved.

The food and everything was fine but one guy chased the beach dogs aggressively with a stick - and scared them a lot. The beach dogs need help and not someone who hit them 🥸 Better invest his salary in a sterilization of the dogs so overpopulation will stop !!!

We had the vegan options of gado gado (without egg), vegetable spring rolls and Tempe curry. It took a little while to come, but everywhere is like this in sidemen - everyone is relaxed. I recommend the healthy tea as well.

Taman Bebek Hita is an exceptional Asian restaurant managed by a warm and hospitable family. The cuisine is remarkably fresh and delectable, offering great value for money. Their half angry duck dish is possibly the finest crispy duck around, while their in-house made tempeh fried rice surpasses expectations with its outstanding taste. Guests can relish the sunset over the valley from the second floor, often enjoying the exclusivity of being the sole occupied table.
We had a great dinner! Everything was delicious, and the waitress was lovely! I highly recommend it if you’re in Amed <3

Wonderful view of the hills. My bbq tuna was grilled to perfection - wonderfully juicy. Plating was pretty and the staff friendly

Wow what a view! Lovely service, tasty food! The Balinese crepes are fantastic! I definitely recommend- it’s underrated

Absolutely amazing warung for a good price. I had the best BBQ chicken so far in Bali ❤️ Fairy lights at night makes place nice and day view is also great. I am just sorry that I came here at the end of our time in Amed.

We couldn't find the restaurant we were aiming to go to, then just happened to go into Taman Bebek Hita. So, our expectation wasn't high. However, the food was very tasty!! We ordered a grilled seafood skewer thing and a grilled chicken wings. They tasted like charcoal grilled (the waiter denied it, though). I felt the pricing was cheap for what they were. The atmosphere was very simple and plain. The waiting time was a bit too long despite we were the only customers at the time.

We had a good dinner here. We were seated upstairs. The ambiance is nice. The staff was super friendly. The food was good overall and it well priced. Had the chicken curry and not duck, which is what it is known for though. They did run out of seafood tonight. It was cash only.
Bryan W — Google review
Went there for dinner and the place was very festive with colorful lanterns on the open air second floor dining area. Friendly staff. I ordered the chicken curry and it was awesome. Also tried their Arak with honey and lemon - it was delicious. Be sure to stir it well because the honey settles at the bottom of the glass.
Allera B — Google review
Beautiful views for dinner during sunset. You’ll be seated upstairs if the restaurant is not too crowded. The food is an excellent example of Balinese cuisine. The crispy fried duck is a specialty. Served as a half-duck with rice and veggies and traditional Balinese chilis. We got their Chicken Noodle Soup, a play on Soto Ayam. What brought out the flavors were the Amed Salt, pepper and chili flakes served alongside our meal. The Amed salt is special to the salt-producing region. Salt crystals come from the ocean and are dried for 10 days, creating beautiful rectangular shapes. Enhances flavors so well. We also ordered their Sate Ayam (Chicken barbecued on a stick) and their Cumi Cumi baker (barbecued squid) - both came with special chili sauce, a cone of rice shaped with banana leaf, sautéed veggies (bean sprouts and diced beans with coconut shavings,) and fresh cucumber and tomato slices. Their fresh watermelon juice was delicious. We paid with cash, not sure if they took credit card.

Seafood restaurant
Wayans Warung, a popular seafood restaurant in Lipah, is frequented by many who come for lunch after their diving trips. The staff at this establishment are known for their friendliness and ability to whip up delicious local dishes. They are even accommodating enough to arrange pork dishes upon request, thanks to their connections with a local friend. Additionally, patrons can ask the staff to ensure that their beer is served extra cold.
LOVED our Meal here, Seafood Basket, absolutely delicious, Pineapple Smoothy, just perfect. Friendly Service and great pricea. Thanks, deffinately reccomend.

On the way from Ubud to Amed, we stopped for late lunch. Ordered fried rice, fried noodles, gadu gadu and curry. Nice juices mixed juice and lemon juice at the end. Restaurant relatively empty but preparing food took too long time. Beside local food they offer western food, fish.

I had the banana juice and tempeh coconut curry — both were really delicious! The staff were friendly and the vibe was nice, but it took over 40 minutes to get the food even though it wasn’t busy :/ Still, I’d come back for the great taste!

We came here daily for lunch after our dive trips. The staff is very friendly and make delicious local food. They even arranged a couple of pork dishes for us upon request through a local friend. You can even ask them to keep the beer extra cold! They’ll know what you mean 😉

While it might not look as pretty as other placed, Warung Wayan definitely had some of the best Indonesian food we encountered during our trip! The food is freshly made (takes about 20min). The grilled fish if the day, urap, coconut chicken, even the spaghetti were absolutely excellent! And Wayan was so nice as to even deliver the food to our villa that was situated right above. Highly recommended!

We were the only people here for dinner, so don’t let that stop you, but the service was very friendly and the food was great. Make sure to get the Banana Split for dessert, the banana was so delicious!!

Without a doubt the best food we have eaten in Lipah. There are so many great restaurants here, but Wayan’s is the best by far. Great taste, generous serves and happy friendly staff make you feel so welcome. Last nights rib special were awesome..

Titi Sedana Warung and Homestay is a simple yet charming accommodation option that offers bungalows with scenic sea views and an open-air restaurant. The guestrooms feature private terraces with sea views, air conditioning, and thoughtful amenities such as mosquito nets. Situated within walking distance of Amed Beach, the property is convenient for snorkeling and diving activities. Additionally, it's located near Tirtagangga Water Palace.
Stunning view, almost like having a stunning private villa… cleanest room l stayed in Bali , Wayan and Katut such lovely people, l couldn’t drive a scooter so they helped me everyday! I extended my stay, here you only hear waves and see stars at night! Spacious room with every necessary detail. In Amed there is no better place to stay! 100 stars!

I had a problem in another stay and was looking for something else to sleep, just before midnight. I called the owner and he said that he would be there within 10 minutes to receive me. I was so thankful, really amazing. I stayed here just 1 night but if I knew about this place before I would have stayed longer. I definitely am planning to come back here. The view, especially the sunrise in the morning is amazing to see. And the owners are so nice. I had the superior room, which was good. Really recommendable this place!
Minou — Google review
I stayed here for one week and everything was wonderful! The family that runs this place is generous and so very kind. The king sized bed in room 3 was an absolute dream to sleep in, and the rooms are set back (and up the hill) from the road, so it is very quiet and easy to get a great night's sleep. The entire accommodation was really lovely to stay in and I enjoyed quite a bit of time on my front patio on the day bed, basking in the sunshine. This room also has an amazing view for sunrise. It was very clean as well. There are several warungs to enjoy nearby as well as delicious food right at the homestay - though my favorite was a few doors over at Kopi di Tymor. My only wish is that it was closer to the beach.

Sadly, I must warn against staying here. It is the first time in all my travels that I've felt scammed. The room pictures are not what the place is like. I had to leave after 1 night because it was so bad. The room was in very considerable disrepair. All furniture was literally falling apart, completely unusable. The bed was the worst bed I've ever slept in. I sank through the mattress as if it was not there, so that I laid on the wooden board below. I don't need a great bed, but this was simply unacceptable, as if the mattress had long since disintegrated. There are many others issues too, from the wifi not working in the room, to the stale smell, large holes in the wall, and the shower being just a pipe. The whole place is in need of a very thorough makeover before it can even be considered a budget option. Currently, it's just unacceptable.
Floris B — Google review
We came here for dinner and it was absolutely incredible! One of the best meals I’ve had in my 2 months in Indonesia - got the Ikan Tempeh and the flavours were so unique and brilliant! The chef was so lovely and welcoming too and she is probably the best chef we’ve had so far travelling through Sumatra, Java and Bali! Really incredible and different flavours! So unique and tasty!

Really nice accommodation. I definitely recommend the superior room instead the standard room. You pay just a little amount more and get an amazing huge balcony with an gorgeous sea view. Also the superior room is really nice. Good location if you have an scooter, but you can also rent one there. They make also delicious Pancakes. Recommend this place

Nestled in the charming coastal town of Amed, just a stone's throw from Jemeluk Beach, Blue Earth Village is a delightful retreat that offers an eclectic mix of global cuisine with plenty of vegetarian options. The rustic open-air setting enhances the dining experience, especially during sunset when the views are simply breathtaking. Guests can enjoy a refreshing dip in one of the two outdoor swimming pools or engage in invigorating workouts at the well-equipped fitness center.
Amazing bamboo structured place, the restaurant is like a tree house with a selection of floor seating and tables and chairs. The menu is extensive, with fantastic pizza's, vegan options and even a vegan hot dog! I ordered the vegan pizza with an extra vegan sausage and my friends had lovely pizzas as well (vegetarians check out the one with jam on it!!) overall really cool place, I came for the sunset dance which is every Saturday at 5.30 in the yoga studio and stayed for the food afterwards
Anna P — Google review
We came for the view but unfortunately the food was a miss. Served uncooked grilled chicken, which the servers did not know how to respond to. They offered us free cheesecake !!!! We had to ask not to pay for a meal we did not eat - my advice to the owners - have a plan in place if this happens. The food points - the view and the servers tried their best. Would not recommend this place - or just double check your food!!

Came here for a night to attend the sunset dance which was amazing! The room I stayed in was cute. I attended the energiser yoga with Valentina which was amazing! Also the food here was epic! So many vegan choices. The room included breakfast however was a bit limited for vegan so I opted for the paid choices which were delicious 😋 You can see sunset and sunrise here too! The staff are lovely and super helpful. *On a side note, there is a fair bit of construction work going on however finishes by 5pm so evening was fine. You can hear a little in the restaurant however not too much.

I had their food on three different occasions. My first experience was takeout pizza, and so was my third. It was consistently good, with thin crusts and a flavourful selection. I recommend trying their Bali pizza if you can take spice. I also thoroughly enjoyed my seafood curry and bacon with dates during my second, in-person visit. The view at the top floor of their restaurant is beautiful, and the decor is comfortable. Will definitely visit again when I’m back in Amed.

I spent nine relaxing nights at Blue Earth Village in Amed and found it to be a true gem in a calm corner of Bali. While Amed generally enjoys a slower, less touristy pace than many other parts of the island, Blue Earth Village lifts that experience even further — no slick, ultra-modern square hotel here, but something more thoughtful and unique. From the moment you walk in you’ll notice the craftsmanship: restaurant, reception, yoga shalas—all built in bamboo with organic forms, natural ventilation, and a seamless blend with the landscape. My room featured rounded walls, organic shapes and a spacious outdoor bathroom; the architecture and surroundings felt as though nature and building had grown together. The winding paths, plants draping over walkways and terraces, and subtle elevation changes made each stroll feel like a tiny exploration. Service here stood out. The staff—from reception to restaurant to room service and gardeners—were consistently warm and genuine. I appreciated the fair pricing of in-house services like laundry and the spa—no surprise mark-ups, just good quality and swift delivery. The restaurant deserves a special mention. Whether dining on the garden terrace or the elevated bamboo deck with sweeping views, the setting is striking. Apart from slightly busier service on Friday and Saturday nights, everything operated smoothly and with real attention. The menu offered a smart mix of local and healthy dishes alongside well-executed Western alternatives—something for every appetite. While Blue Earth Village may not be a budget stay, it certainly isn’t overpriced—its value is excellent given the experience. It helped me truly slow down, tap into Amed’s relaxed rhythm, and unwind during my visit. Pairing the stay with the freedive retreat with Adam Sellars and the Pressure Project made the experience even richer—new depths underwater and in self-reflection. Thank you to the whole team for an amazing stay. I will definitely return. Suksma everyone.

We stayed at Blue Earth Village for four nights and enjoyed it a lot. It is soooo beautiful and has a great vibe. It is true that you hear some noises, music etc. till aprox. midnight but this did not disturb us. The staff was really nice and helpful. Also, the great long pool behind the reception where you can do some laps is really cool. The only thing that it was not good was the breakfast, to be honest. We ordered a fruit bowl and this was not very fresh at all so that we did not finish it. Ordered also some eggs and they were just put on the plate, with three slices of cooked tomato and bread & butter, very very simple and if you do not like tomato, no vegetables were available. Although breakfast was included, we only ate it once after the first experience.
Maria Q — Google review
Unfortunately this did not live up to our expectations from what we saw online. The first time at Blue Earth we did an evening yoga class and had dinner in the restaurant afterwards to enjoy the view, which is gorgeous. The yoga class was great, the space is serene. The food, however, we got mild food poisoning from later that night. We came back a second time to enjoy a tea and watch the sunset at the restaurant, and one of the waitresses accidentally spilled an entire coconut worth of coconut water on me. My dress was soaked, my chair was soaked, and the staff had no idea what to do. No one offered me a towel or even said sorry. It was very strange, and we left after a few minutes of standing there waiting for someone to grab napkins. Disappointing customer service!
Sophie C — Google review
I stayed here for a while while traveling with my family. The accommodations are great, featuring a swimming pool, a gym, a restaurant, a dance area, and another pool. It's very close to the beach, where you can snorkel. The restaurant offers fantastic views. One thing to note is that there are some cockroaches around, so be cautious of that. However, they didn't really bother me. Also, there were a lot of tiny little harmless millipedes in the walkways that I couldn’t avoid stepping on sometimes.

The charming and unpretentious Warung Puspa Candidasa is a lovely little restaurant that offers outstanding traditional Indonesian cuisine at an incredible value. The owners are exceptionally friendly and attentive, providing discreet service while also offering helpful advice on local activities. The homemade Tempeh is particularly noteworthy, along with delicious Nasi Campur, Curry, pancakes, and freshly made juices. This hidden gem in Candidasa truly serves some of the best Indonesian food in the area at a reasonable price.
Fantastic, home-cooked Indonesian food at very reasonable prices. The owner was so welcoming and helped us set up a place for our baby to sit and even offered a toy that her granddaughter had. The food was incredible and the setting (back from the main road) was an absolute oasis in the midday sun. Highly recommend!

Ate twice here the other day. For lunch there were no tourists at all, and a bit during dinner. The menu selection is big with a good variety of Indonesian meals. The price is also good for the area. You should definitely try it if you stay at Candidasa!

We found this place on our last night. Located just off the main street away from the noise. The food was delicious. Spring rolls - fresh, light and crispy, Nasi Campur - delicious 😋😋, Chicken Cap Cay - light and fresh. The sambals were some of the best we have had. We finished with fried banana. 😋 they also have some lovely rooms for rent.

Checked this out on the internet and then came for early dinner. It will definitely be a favourite for the future!! Beautiful food: we had spring rolls, glass noodles with chicken and veggies, and cap cay with chicken and veggies, followed by banana pancakes with ice cream. Nestled in the heart of Sideman, The Bukit Artha Warung & Home Stay is a culinary gem that offers an authentic taste of Balinese cuisine. Guests rave about dishes like Ayam Tutu Bumbu Bali and Nasi Goreng, all prepared with fresh ingredients that enhance their flavors. The warm hospitality from hosts Komang and his wife creates a welcoming atmosphere where visitors feel right at home.
We stayed next door but came here to eat one night and the food was lovely. Everyone working in the restaurant was happy and friendly and it had a nice relaxed feel about it. We had spring rolls to share to start , large portion and freshly made , the chicken satay and the lemongrass chicken and all dishes were delicious and very good value for money. I forgot to take a photo as was too hungry !

The best authentic cuisine and service in Sideman. We tried the Ayam Tutu Bumbu Bali and Narsi Goreng. This is probably the only place that serves Arak ..traditional alcoholic beverage made from coconut!! The food takes awhile to be prepared that's because everything is freshly cooked. Even the the vegetables were chopped freshly. And that brings out the flavours even more. We came here everyday of our stay In Sideman. The host Komang and his wife are the best people we met in Sideman. Their smile is infectious. A must visit!

I just came for dinner but it was amazing, the owner showed me his many guest books of rave reviews and oh I wish I was staying here instead! Just by his kindness alone, my accommodations are grand but I love his energy so I’ll keep coming back for dinner here. Like he says everyone does, he’s so sweet, he remembers everyone! I loved hearing his stories, really I hope the best for him. My excerpt in the guest book says enough.
