Stationen is a classic styled cozy place for both lunch and dinners. They also offer brunch and afternoon tea which I have yet to try. This time we went for a dinner and I had the mushroom toast starter and a pork schnitzel for main course. The mushroom toast was very juicy and with lots of flavours and cheese. One of the best starters I have had in a long while. The schnitzel was very big and filling and came with fries as a side. Lots of vegetables and sauce of melted cheese was included. I would have preferred if they had also included a slice of lemon for the schnitzel but sadly there was none. Overall a very nice visit, however I later upon checking the receipt that they charged extra for the sparkling water even though it was never mention as an extra cost when they initially asked if we wanted still or sparkling water after we were seated at our table.

Decently cool place with nice ambience and food choices. The menu isn’t kid friendly and neither is this restaurant unless you have amazing children. It mostly a date place. Our waiter was excellent and super nice. For the burger it was about 18 dollars for a 1/4lb if my memory serves me correct. It is very conveniently located next to the train station.

Fika: not recommended. Dry and dense pannacotta. Lunch: pretty decent. Dinner: not the most amazing flavours. Brunch: Surprisingly good. Especially the savory items. We were worried that each item would be small due to the brunch package (one sweet & one savory item) being available, but the savory item is big enough. Tasty too. The sweet items were smaller and not as good. Atmosphere is okay, nice details. Service is often okay, but it was very very slow during brunch. The waitress insisted that the brunch items would come in two servings, which made it even more slow. 2 hours of seatings wouldn't have been enough if we didn't ask for little hurry.

Large locale in the train station. Great outside serving to enjoy a summer day. Service is attentive and professional. You do have to pick up appetizer orders from the bar however if you are seated in the outside service. I had the oysters they were quite tasty.

Large upscale place with cafe (Rome), bar (London), and brasserie (Paris). Throughout large selection and high quality. Outstanding, however, for the lunch menu for barely 100 SEK. Best in town!

It feels as if the only reason one visits Stationen is the location and atmosphere. They have a restaurant, a café and a bar. During summer, the seats outside are crowded with people having a drink and socialising. During winter, the atmosphere is cozy and warm. The couches by the windows overlooking the train tracks are in particular great. Sadly, the food is lacking in quality. The restaurant itself is ok. A bit overpriced but it not too bad. The café on the other hand is terrible. I don't think I have ever had a good cake or pastry there and I have visited several times. It's all dry and tasteless, kinda like it's old and have been sitting there for days. The cocktails are very mediocre, small and not worth the price. Nowadays whenever someone suggests a fika or drink, I just simply order a wine/cider/beer or coffee as that is the only thing really worth it.

There were some standout dishes and some very bland dishes. The Dumplings in Miso soup were fantastic, besides being maybe a bit too salty, but very tasty still. The Yakitori was also great, full of flavor, cooked well, but perhaps also a bit salty. The rest of the dishes were underwhelming. The sashimi wasn't much higher quality than you'd find at a decent sushi restaurant. The cocktails were excellent, very flavoring and unique. The wine pairing can just be skipped. Not really any great wines here and many simply don't pair well with the food. The dessert could have been interesting, but felt more like a palette cleanser with light flavors and acidity. Not really sweet or memorable dessert flavors. The wait staff was very friendly and professional. Great service overall. It would be 4 stars except for the price. Too expensive for the quality of the food. I think you pay a lot for the view. Still an interesting meal and a nice experience, but once was enough.

There is an excellent selection of infused dishes, with portions on the smaller side for my liking. The view from the top floor restaurant is spectacular.

Great cocktail bar with fantastic view over Uppsala!

Service was impeccable. As much as the tasting menu would have been delicious, we were very glad we decided to select the dishes. 6 selections shared between 2 of us was more than enough. . Highly recommend Miss Voon. Obviously the view of Uppsala from the terrace during the evening was stunning!

We had a couple of cocktails there and they were so good. The place has a lovely view over Uppsala and it is a perfect spot to watch sunset, we didn’t get to enjoy the sunset because the clouds covered it up that day.

I had been looking forward to going to this place quite a lot, as it was recommended by other food-lovers. I had the Fjord Salmon, Oyster gratinée, Venison Tataki and Chocolate Fondant with Cherries and Basil ice-cream. The fjord salmon didn't have a kick of taste, it was quite bland, the oyster which had a parmesan gratinée tasted only of parmesan, which is sad considering how flavourful and tasty oysters are on their own, this dish was definitely overwhelmed and not well thought of. The venison tataki also did not taste like much... The dessert was the best part the chocolate fondant was cooked very well, though overpowered by cherries, it was balanced well with the basil-ice cream that followed. I was hoping for more and severely disappointed. What brings the two stars are the atmosphere being very high-end, the cocktails tasting really good and the waitresses being very professional. Perhaps I went here on a bad day... will not revisit.

Very good fusion kitchen with a great view of Uppsala. Do not reserve at the round tables here can become a seasick as the lamps turn and shade with the pattern. Great evening with fancy cocktails and amazing food.Foodheaven Also enjoy a dessert

My wife and I have been coming here for years. I'm surprised it took me this long to leave a review. In just a few words, this is our favorite restaurant in Uppsala and top 5 in all of Sweden. Not only just the food, but the wine pairings are some of the most unique, well thought out, and complementary aspects of the whole experience. Easily better than many Michelin restaurant wine pairings. This is the type of restaurant that Michelin star chefs come to when they go out to dinner. Incredibly delicious, brilliant presentations of local delicacies, constantly evolving seasonal menu, and repeat favorites make this place an easy choice for date night. We love Dryck & Mat and are so happy Uppsala has a restaurant of this caliber that we can enjoy any time of the year. Thank you for the wonderful service, amazing meals, and for your double fried pancakes.

Outstanding experience. Had the tasting menu with wine pairing. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. If you are up for a chat with the chefs you can book a table at the kitchen. Will definitely come back.

Had a really lovely and delicious meal before taking the train down to Stockholm. Server was really great with helping us make decisions. He even chose an excellent wine to pair with our dish. Overall atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed. We were the first ones in the restaurant that evening with an early reservation, but it did not feel awkward at all.

Good but not wow. Very pleasant sitting out on the terrace on a warm summer evening in Uppsala. Reasonable menu, well prepared & presented, enjoyed the food. Service was reasonable, not sure about the wine pairing recommendations, perhaps just a personal preference. Enjoyed the evening but did not bowl me over.

If you are looking for special taste, let's go ! Their prices are more than the other Swedish restaurants but you will find a new world of combination food and wine ! This is a real restaurant with different food ! It's french style .

One of the greatest diner experience I had recently. Nice atmosphere and kind waiters. Excellent food and unique combination with a series of wines. Onsdagshaffla: A time when they have a dish for a great value each wednesday. The dish I had was Zabuton, fries and tomato salad. Zabuton was not really my thing, but the food was generally well made. It made me sure of wanting to visit again for a la carte. Sat at their outdoor seatings. Comfortable seats, but not amazing sorroundings. Brunch: Brunch available at some occasions (look for it on their instagram or homepage). Brunch buffet including classic breakfast items, some pre made food and desserts. Coffee and juice included. The food was generally well made, but I don't know if I can say that it is worth the price. There are many other good things you can get for the same price. Dinner: Also well made food. However, none that really exceeded the expectations. The wine pairing was okay, but of those I had, none enhanced the flavour of the dish or the wine. Sju flaskor: A small cozy cocktailbar with chill atmosphere. Love the concept and the bartenders are superfriendly and feel professional. Would definetly come back.

Cool pub close to downtown Uppsala. Bartender was moderately busy, but would often miss opportunities to help people at the bar. They do have a stage for live music. Would have liked to have been there for that.

Amazing Irish pub with the tastiest meals. it's super cozy, woody and generally quite 'Irish' haha. The service is good and fast with bartenders speaking Swedish and English. Only downside is prices are kinda high but other than that, it's great.

Magical pub food! Best UK food we've tried! This is a golden place in Uppsala. Highly recommend. Staff is great, serviceminded and food is +++ Recommend the Ribs and Fish N Chips!

It has been a while that I posted any reviews, especially in Uppsala it's just my second one. But I must praise where it's worth. O'Connor offered me the best BBQ Ribs that I had, outside of the UK or homemade, ever. The meat was coming off the bone. Amazing Corn on the Cob, which I usually steer clear of, so that says a lot. And a really kind and friendly service. Totally worth the price for lunch, bread, a soda and coffee.

A classical beer place in Uppsala with live music most days. They have a special craft beer bar open on weekends in the far end.

A nightclub that used to be good. Now the drinks are pretty bad. The place is mostly for people aged 40+.

One of the few night clubs of Uppsala (the other is BJ's). The location and the place looks good but nothing extraordinary. But expect that you'll spend a fortune (150 kr entrance plus expensive drinks inside).

The bubbles and Brunch is more bubbles and less Brunch. So eat somewhere else and come for the dance party after. The brunch is NOT worth it.

Entry was 150kr per head and it wasn’t that much happening place although they have a big dancing floor not much people were there.

The place is fine. It feels like they care more about making money than making sure you have a good time.

The vitrine of the restaurant catched us with all the prices exposed and it was a good catch as once inside we could admire all the fish delicacies in their counter. The waiter was so kind to explain all the fishes and their receipts. Food was delicious, service was great, atmosphere very pleasant. Large selection of white vines & champagne. Definitely to reccomend if in Uppsala.

It’s always a pleasure to go back to this place, one of the best fish places in the Uppsala town! It has a very calming atmosphere and the food is topnotch!

The food was great and the service kind, but we had 4 different staff members in total to bring the dishes or ask for anything else. Yet none was willing to say anything about the food (despite having ordered mixed plates, like “this is…” and “here we have…”). I think a high quality restaurant should have one dedicated host per table that takes better care of the guests. Yet nothing to complain about the food!

I came across this place on Reddit, under one post's recommendations. I ordered a catch of the day and was not disappointed, got a beautiful and delicious dish. Service personnel was really friendly as well. If you are in Uppsala for one or two days, I would recommend to dine at this place.

Everything was 10/10, I imagine the lesser reviews are from people who don’t know good food or expect too much from waitstaff everywhere they go. Food - 10/10 Incredibly fresh seafood, zero harshness or “fishy taste” every flavor is delicately balanced with the next. I got the sampler appetizer upon recommendation from the staff, and each was so good that I couldn’t choose one for a main course. Again I asked my waitress for the most traditional Swedish dish and she immediately pointed me to the Röding. Not a mistake. It was delicious and again everything was in a delicate balance. Nothing was greasy, overly salty, dry, etc. Waitstaff - 10/10 I feel like I already covered this but they were extremely helpful to a newcomer in the country. Atmosphere - 10/10 I just loved it. People in here complain about it eating next to a fishmarket? FISH IS ONE OF THE TWO WORDS IN THE NAME. they have fish and it is delicious. Do not miss this place if you fly to Arlanda.

Great vibes at Katalin in Uppsala Loved the cozy yet lively atmosphere — the place has character, from the cool chandelier over the bar to the chalkboard drink menu. Great drink selection, friendly crowd, and a stage set up for live music adds to the charm. Perfect spot for a relaxed night out with good vibes and a glass of wine.

Personally I find it the highest quality bar in Uppsala. Nice vibes, good decoration and plenty of music events. Two downsides are the price and the fact that it closes super early.

Nice place to taste local food and feeling. The fish soup was so gorgeous, I can not tell în words how nice - smell and taste. Also close to the bus and train stations. If you have time and you don't need to be hungry, try it.

A really cozy Jazz bar extremely close to the station, lovely atmosphere especially when they've got guests playing. Would recommend too go here when there is a band playing. They've got a decent selection of drinks and they also have a small selection of beer on tap. The only downside is that when sitting outside you can sometimes hear the trains and it can take away a bit from the atmosphere but it depends on how much it bothers you of course. Overall I'd say it's one of the nicest places to go in Uppsala for a drink or two.

Beajolais Noveau: More wine bar theme rather than restaurant. It was a fun concept I enjoyed, and the place was crowded with all kinds of people wanting to enjoy the wine. Beajolais Noveau and the white wine I had was not fully of my preference. Dinner: Calm & casual atmosphere. To be a wine focused restaurant, the staff did not seem too interested in talking about wine. The food was geneally good.

Cozy place with a sweet single counter seat for a solo diner. Loved the herring starter. Also watch out for when their homebrew umeshu is ready. If I still lived in Uppsala I’d go here all the time.

Dropped in late evening to try the place out casually and was not disappointed. The oysters were really good and their own homemade hot sauce actually did a better job than tabasco. Really friendly and chatty staff. 👌🏻👌🏻

Pretentious rubbish. Not recommended. I realised something was fishy as soon as I ascertained that the wine list was ten times as long as the menu. The staff were keen not to have us eat there without having booked, but really had little choice as the restaurant was empty and their only booking was for an hour and a half later. A modest Italian restaurant round the corner - Rififi - was more accommodating and had a wider range of dishes.

Wanted to make sure I rushed to write this review as the evening was so special, I didn’t want to forget anything. Had a lovely dinner at La Ruelle tonight with my Dad, which is more meaningful than I have words for. We had spent the day driving through the countryside, to Ockelbo where he grew up, visiting the places of his childhood including the graves of my grandparents and his grandmother, my namesake, all of whom I had never gotten to meet. It was, to say the least, a very special day that was made even more meaningful by our time at La Ruelle. Everything we ordered was exceptional — my Dad who loves oysters, was so happy to see them on the menu and delighted by their freshness and flavor. The chicken liver pate with pickles was — and I’m not exaggerating in the slightest — the best I’ve had, even considering my time living in the south of France. The lamb shoulder was cooked to perfection; every flavor of every dish thoughtful and considered, yet simple and wise. We capped off the evening with summer strawberries in local whole cream and I can only call it heavenly. Somehow this whole magical day was made even more so by our time at La Ruelle. The ambiance, the service, the food, all made this little gem in Uppsala, one of the few moments in my life with my Dad that I will treasure always. I can only hope the experience of others is as magical as ours — of this I have little doubt! Thank you to all. PS. The chef was also especially handsome which didn’t hurt at all:)

Amazing place, the best restaurant in Uppsala!!

If you are only one night in Uppsala, this is the restaurant I'd recommend. The chairs may not be the most comfy, but the quality of food is rather excellent. Small menu with near perfect execution. La Ruelle hits the mark in finding the very refined balance between exciting fusion of tastes and products while keeping it accessible (the trout and herb sorbet come recommended!)

Highly recommend this gem! One of the best food experiences I have ever had in Sweden. Amazing flavours, exciting combinations and very versatile menu. Staff was very friendly and service was great. Will for sure go back and already excited to have a delicious meal here again!

We tried the mixed starters and the mixed grill. The food was ok, but nothing was particularly good. For my taste, the starters were too greasy and heavy, and the steaks had enough barbecue sauce to overpower the meat's taste. The place is quite loud and dark. The staff seems to have been trained to serve in an American style - constantly asking about your food etc. I like the concept of the restaurant very much, but the visit didn't make a great impression.

Our evening at Jay Fu’s was perfect! Everything we ordered was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. Great and attentive service regardless of the busy Valentine’s day night, nice vibe as well and reasonably priced for the quality. Highly recommend! We decided to share three starters between the two of us and after those and the mains we were extremely full - would definitely say one starter each will leave you satisfied.

We had a great experience in Jay Fu’s , menu selection is wide, we had Tuna, Rib eye and Pork belly followed by dessert creme brule, wine selection is also wide , we had Malbec and CavSuav with a dessert wine, presentation is excellent, fusion of flavor it is outstanding, tenderness and quality of food exceeded expectations! Service, care and recommendations were great in perfect tune to food, to my taste my favorite restaurant in Uppsala and maybe Sweden ...strongly recommend the place!

Only 3 stars for failing/refusing to make a cocktail. We went for my wife's 40th birthday. I had warned in advance that she wanted a virgin Pina colada to begin with, and was assured that there would be no issues making the cocktail. Sadly, the waiter awkwardly refused to make it, claiming something like "it won't taste good"? He did not offer an alternative either? Very strange behaviour. If an ingredient was missing, then be honest? And suggest something? Virgin mojito? Anything? Luckily, the food itself was gorgeous, please see the pictures. Service for the rest of the night was good, nothing stellar. We were still weirded out by the awkward refusal to let us spend money on a cocktail...

Highly recommend this place if you are looking for something different and tasty. The dishes were delicious and incredible fused together. Mac n Cheese was the standout dish even though it was an entree. Service was on point! Do yourself a favour and pay Jay Fu’s a visit. You will not be disappointed

An English style pub in Central Uppsala with plenty of beer options and UK cuisine, including Shepherd's pie and fish & chips. One of the better services I've encountered in the city, and the atmosphere is really true to what it's trying to create. The food is good, especially the fish with the pea puree. The fry is very thin, fluffy and crunchy. The burgers have been a little hard pan fried, causing some blackening of the paddy. Their homemade dip sauce is tasty, and their chicken wings pretty juice. It's one of the must visit pubs.

A absolut must visit pub. The stuff is well knowledged on the beers and the food is absolutely amazing. Are you a vegan? No problem, they have the best homemade vegan burger plus some more dishes that can be made into vegan ones.

Let’s see: my adventure with this place get started already on the outside of the restaurant. It’s reminds me a little dream house from Disney fantasy films. On the inside very cozy bar with great, young people who invited us very politely. I felt more than welcome here. Not to much space. A little crowd place. But, God - the food was amazing. Great experience at great restaurant I can truly recommend. I will come back, pretty sure of that.

Lovely and charming English pub off the main square with a boudoir, cozy vibe. Service is fast and the waiters are super nice! There's ample seating spaces indoors and outdoors and two well maintained lavatories. Prices are slightly higher but not enough to be called expensive.

Their burgers are really good! I chose the 440gram burger this time, which was delicious. The place itself is a bit to tight and the air isn't the best, has a funky smell when it's full of people.

What a local gem! Very welcoming and friendly pub with a great menu. Inspired not only by a fascinating figure in British history, but clearly by a careful and passionate study of what makes a good British pub, designed for the trendy Uppsåla market. Good beer selection- don't miss the Black Cab Porter. Food is well thought out and utterly delicious. Winston would have loved it. Fish and chips would clean up in Britain, with batter that doesn't slip off or turn into oily gunk. Steak sandwich was a revelation. Absolutely perfect. Whisky selection for the connoisseur, at attractive prices. Service is friendly, approachable, and warm. Aussie fella and Irish lass were charming and very helpful. Atmosphere is fun and warm without being too kitsch. Definitely recommend if you want a great evening. Coming back for sure!

The food and beers were excellent! As a Belgian native, I truly felt at home. Service was a bit slow but very friendly.

Loved loved this place! If I lived in Uppsala, I’d become a regular. Did not have a reservation, but we were able to snag some bar seating. Food we ordered was all delicious. The fries are scrumptious. And honestly I can say the waffle we ordered for dessert was the best I’ve ever had, crisp on the outside but fluffy and yeasty on the inside. Servers were all friendly. Environment is classy, but not pretentious and the atmosphere is lively, but not rowdy.

My salad was unfortunately way too sour and only tasted lemon. The mussels, on the other hand, weren’t as flavorful as we hoped, but the waffle was amazing. Still, only having one vegetarian option felt limiting. The space is rather small and can get loud but the service was great. We’d come back for the selection of drinks and dessert.

Went for the "After work" option, moules frittes & beer. I got the garlic mussels, which were excellent, but the classic ones were also good. They have a nice beer selection and the prices are quite reasonable. The place is smaller than I expected, but it was not too loud, despite being quite full. Very nice place, darker and cozy. Minus for too loud music - as if they were trying to cover the loud talking noices. Not good for conversation. A tip is to ask for a seating not to close to the speakers. Good price and nice mussels. I especially love their fries and mayo! I could eat a ton of them! The waiting time for food varies. It is often okay, but it took up to 1,5h once.

Nice Irish pub with cosy outdoor seating. Ambience was nice. Stuffs are super cordial, friendly. Food was fine. I found the outdoor chairs were bit uncomfortable for long sitting. Otherwise its one of my favourite after work places ❤️❤️

One of the better pubs in the city. Traditional Irish style, friendly and accommodating staff and very decent food. Can highly recommend the spicy chicken wings with spicy sauce if you're into spice.

The one true Irish Pub in Uppsala. Delicious food, kind hearts, happy faces and good (Guinness, amongst other) beer. The food is delicious, very comforting. On a cold day you can get the soup and on another day I recommend their curry (or stake). Really, really good! Say hi if you see Mr. Neil behind the pub, a very fun owner!

Food was gorgeous! Got recommended the lamb shank from a great waitor and the chicken Kiev was so good! The staff were amazing, super friendly and service minded! Will definitely return when were back in Uppsala.

Edit/update: visited again (2024) Still as awesome. Still brilliant service. STILL best Guinness is Uppsala 🤘 Probably my new favourite pub in Uppsala. The staff are super personable, but not in your face kind of way. The staff are also very knowledgeable & helpful. Really good atmosphere here as a result. Had a good few (cracking) pints of Guinness & the food is the best ‘pub grub’ I can ever actually remember eating. Prices were reasonable. Superb! Can’t wait to visit again.

Came in sober on a week day to watch football and eat. The owner started harassing me for no reason swearing at me and treatning me. Felt like he just wanted to destroy someone's evening or start a fight. Heard he is a bit weird but this was extreme, complete psycho.

I was in Uppsala for the day and found this gem. Super nice barman! Only had a few beers and didn't try the food. I'll have to concider moving to Uppsala only to make this my favourite neighbourhood pub. 👍🏾😊

Awesome food, awesome staff and awesome atmosfere, especially one really lovely young lady who served us, I hope she sees this. She recognized us on the next day. I was there first day only with my parents, and the next day even with my brother. Sending love from Slovakia :)

The food was excellent. The cauliflower croquette unearthly tasty. The atmosphere of the place was very cool, the music was not disturbing it was interesting and gave the atmosphere. Very friendly staff! Unfortunately I did not get a beer that I liked, very little mango, but the dark beer that a friend carried was delicious

Had been here before when they were doing pizzas and burgers. They have changed now and have a menu of medium sized plates. These were really good and I think it's a good to offer something different from the pizzas and burgers that everyone else offers. Beer selection is still very good. I'm now happy to return to this place again.

Great selection of local beers and ciders. Food was so so. Musikquiz was fun & entertaining, but could be difficult for non-Swedish speakers to follow.

Visited for lunch. Nice outdoor seatings at fyrisån with much sun. Somewhat busy sorroundings though. The burger was ok. The patty was pink in the middle but crumbled.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the superb quality and inventiveness of the food at this place. We had the charcuterie board and have never seen so much food on a board. And very tasty. We then had the Palt. A fantastic nouveau-Norrlands cuisine twist on a staple. The Apple cider was perfect with real apple taste and not too sweet. The beers I tried, October Fest was among them, was all really great. We will be back!

Visiting close relatives from abroad stayed in the Elite Hotel, the last week of August 2018. They treated us for dinner at The Bishop Arms Pub & Restaurant. The personnel are friendly, attentive and helpful. The entrecote steak I ordered & got was well presented, warm, tender & very delicious & served with some vegetables & fried potatoe chips. The service was prompt. Prices reasonable. Highly recommendable.

Great selection of local beers and good pub food. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Close to station ideal for meeting friends off the train.

Pros: stays open late compared to most places in Uppsala, enticing drinks menu, large and filling serving sizes Cons: can't get leftovers packed, very few veggie options (the one burger there is quite good though) However the primary reason we will never forget our visit to The Bishops Arms is that my compatriot hit his head on one of lamps whilst getting up, and it promptly dislodged and broke - the glass surrounding the lamp, that is The staff was very kind to come clean it up! Both the fish and chips, as well as the veggie burger were tasty and very filling (took effort to finish) The dessert we tried was homemade cheese with fig marmalade and candied nuts; the cheese was so-so, but the rest was very good!

Authentic pub in Uppsala, great selection of beer & drinks. I had the mushroom soup which was good. I retracted one stair as it was very noisy in the pub when they had a swedish quiz or so, sorry.

The "Long Island Icetea" tasted watered down rum. Payed 185 SEK / $22 for a burger. Few fries, dip were half-full. Salad and one slice of tomato was not in the burger, but on the side and had no dressing or anything. The bacon on the burger was bitter-salt, and the "cheese" was taco cheddar dip and tasted sour. Friend was still hungry after his Fish n' Chips which was soggy. Only 2 people working the entire restaurant and were always at the bar. 2 hours later no one had removed my plate. I do not recommend!

Cozy place, especially when they have pubquiz on mondays with nice prizes! The food is not super remarkable though.

Food: I didn't try because they serve it in some kind of metal trays that looked as if I was in the army. Beer: Outrageously expensive. I didn't want much alcohol, so I ordered a small very light (2.2% alcohol) beer. It cost 50 SEK. And they asked me if I wanted to leave tip. (No table service and overpriced, why leave tip? I don't get it.) But worst of all is the first appearance. The entrance looks like an industrial complex. It's a new place, they built the building recently for this purpose, it's not like they rented an old factory. And yet they chose to make it look like a factory from the outside in order that it looks as unappealing as possible. Take a look at the pics I took tonight. Finally, I asked them whether the name of the place is English or Swedish. They said English. But, then, why is there no apostrophe? Is it Bishop's Arms (the arms of one bishop) or Bishops' Arms (the arms of many bishops)? They didn't know. Why don't they consult someone who speaks English if they can't write it properly?

This place is a classic. What you see is what you get - and that’s exactly what it should be It has all the things you’d expect in the menu - from drinks to food. If you’re interested in sports it’s more of a chill and less commercial place than Olearys that’s just around the corner. This feels more home-y and cozy Burger: solid. A few options to choose from Chicken wings: nice unique flavor to them. Not just the standard buffalo wings or something else you’d get everywhere Dirty fries: good but bacon a bit too crisp and rock hard in places. Mayo-sauce also not my cup of tea but a big portion of tummy stuff!

Chill place. Ok food. Would not recommend Bookmakers toast, but nice chicken wings and fish&chips! The thursday quiz is quite entertaining!

Edit 2024-12-23 The last review was years ago. My main memories from Pitcher's over the years has been consistently pretty good. This day was a nice break from the Christmas stress with my 9-year-old son having some burgers as an early dinner. Very nice staff, good food (a lot bigger portion for kids than anticipated) and decent ambiance. Pretty empty though but that was great for us. Original review, from ageas ago: Stood waiting to be seated for ages. Staff saw us but did nothing. Left.

Good selection of beers. The Fish n chips were good. Small place that has enough TV's to watch games. I am not sure they can have multiple games on at one time? I got there early and got the game on that I wanted. I now have a new place to watch fotboll games .

This place got way more expensive than before. Despite that it is a nice place the prices for drinks makes me not want to go here

Nice Pub with very nice interior. Food was really good spevially the spareribs 500 gram. Personal very easy going and friendly sort of the right People in the righ place. Could have been 5 star rated if it wasent for some meals couldent be served due to lack of ingrediences and that the table were almost to small. So if you dont no were to eat make sure to make a reservation in Pitchers. I certainly recomend it

A fun unique bar! Full focus on beer and G&T Beer wise they have lots of fun things on a board and a wide range of taps G&T was my purpose for the visit and they deliver. They have a 3-4 leveled section of gins with different prices for each one. And an equally large selection of tonic The staff is well educated on the topic and can come with tips and tricks

Good beer selection, nice staff, and even decent food options. I like it very much that they offer a taster set option (called Flights), where you pick any 4 x 130 mL beers. The place looks very nice and is not too crowded or too loud - at least not in the early evening (I was there around 7 pm). The fries were good and took only 10 min.

Love being able to get a beer flight here. Huge selection of beer and gin and if you’re unsure which of the 20 beers to order, you can roll dice for inspiration

I was here at beer tasting. Very priceworthy, especially with the food! The atmosphere and the beertasting was chill. I'm not a fan of beer, but these ones were pretty ok! Wallenbergare served afterwards was one of the best I've eaten!

Amazing köttbollar! Me and my partner were looking for some traditional Swedish quisine, and we couldn't be happier with what we got here. Also good beer and very friendly staff!

Good selection, friendly and helpful staff. It is located on the second floor in a old building, quite cozy vibes and just a great place to chat while trying new beers.

Very large selection of different wines. While not all of our choices were in stock we received expert recommendations. Staff was very quick to come and check on you, which was great.

Small and cosy, offers a wide range of wines by both glass and bottle. Sometimes they have specials on champagne. Do look out for these dates! Food is offered from the upstairs restaurant, and they do their own bar snacks (cold cuts of meat, caviar, olives). Stay here for the whole evening or pop by before dinner

Sweden's best place to enjoy a really, and I mean really, good good glass of wine! The service is more than excellent as well. One word: Unbeatable

A lot of high quality food to choose from. The place is newly renovated and fresh. Somewhat noisy. My dry-aged ribeye steak was great. It is self-service here. One of the workers was very kind and service-minded. Extra star to him!

Really bad cappuccino. Not enough espresso in it and/or too much milk and not properly frothed. The mousse was good but the french chocolate torte was dry.

Whenever it's coffee, tea, chai or chocolate, here it's served uniquely and tastes fantastic. Cakes are also great. Apart from eating and drinking it's also a great place to talk, read or work on your own in a comfy atmosphere. You can also buy some unique things there, from small hand crafted pieces to lamps and more

Cute interior shop & café & wine bar in one. The place is cute and the vibe is chill. The coffee was unfortunally not for me (mostly due to the coffee base that was not of my preference). Nice, chill, casual wine bar. Various snacks to choose from. Loved the cheese & charcuterie platter (with products from the shop next to Kvarteret). This place also has activities such as Melodikrysset (super cozy!) and wine tasting.

Cannot recommend it enough! The place offers a mix of new-hand made and vintage stuff. They also have fika, wine, and lunch. It really is a special and cozy place.

A great place for Swedish traditional food, which is actually not that easy to find. The restaurant is apparently popular with locals as well as tourists. Is the food perfect? No. Is it very very good? Yes! Their sauce is amazing. (I do hope they improve the little bread.)

We went to Uppsala as tourist. When we passed this restaurant, the queue was long. We were curious and joined the queue. We ordered traditional Swedish food. The meat was very tender and the spices was tasty. I asked for another sauce, but it wasn't the one on the menu, and they were willing to make it. The kids were also happy because the pizza and pancakes were delicious. The staff are also friendly. They offered us blanket because it was windy outside. Very recommended restaurant if you visit Uppsala.

This place; like many other great places I've visited in Sweden, is not entirely obvious at first. Slightly tucked away from plain sight, a hidden gem amongst a sea of several bars/restaurants that look like they would be quite classy - except on closer inspection, they just have ostentatious interior and lacklustre food - no, this place has a very modest exterior, and if searching for a place to eat without purpose or knowledge of its location, you might easily miss it. You walk in through a tiny front door, into what seems like could only be a restaurant that seats 15 people maximum at first. However, upon arrival I put down my jacket and explored the whole floor space and this restaurant is beautiful. 11th century stone support walls, naked and incorporated into a 17th century wine cellar architecture within the ceiling, this place screams history; all while being greeted with soft jazz, the service team dressed incredibly well, and very well mannered and polite throughout the whole service. On further inspection I would say the capacity is most likely around 60 or 70 people, with 3 main dining rooms slightly separated from each other. We sat in the smallest, almost an alcove turned dining room, which had a capacity of 8 people. With the low ceiling and warm lighting, it was the perfect setting for weekly date night. Please see pictures for the food as I could not waste your time with the description; beautifully presented, excellently executed. I ordered the beef tenderloin rare, it came rare. The jus was delicate in flavour but somehow also complex enough to perfectly compliment the French Beans and mushrooms that accompanied it; without being too salty or sweet. Now our new favourite place in Uppsala and I do very highly recommend you check this place out.

We have been coming to this place for many years, every time we visit Uppsala — and we travel all the way from Canada just to enjoy it! The star of the show for us is the Wallenbergare, which is truly the best we've tried anywhere. The flavor profile and the texture are absolutely perfect and better than most of the places in Stockholm. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, with a unique character. The building was once a dungeon, and it still retains charming nooks and hidden corners that make the space feel special and intimate. We chose not to share photos to respect the privacy of other guests, but we highly recommend experiencing it for yourself. The drinks selection is excellent, and there's a house-made lingonberry drink that is absolutely fantastic — definitely ask for it. We also always start with their Toast Skagen, a delicious appetizer that has become a tradition for us. A word of advice: the Wallenbergare is only served at lunchtime, so plan your visit accordingly. Since our time in Uppsala is always limited, we make a point to book in advance, and I highly recommend others do the same — this place fills up quickly. The staff are wonderful: friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which adds so much to the overall experience. If you're in Uppsala, this spot is a must-visit. We look forward to returning every time we're in town!

The hotel staff recommended this restaurant to me. The ambiance was quite pleasant! I had hoped to try the reindeer, as I had read about it in the reviews, but it was not available on the menu in September 2025, so I opted for the Swedish meatballs instead. They were good, with a wonderful flavor, and the staff was very friendly. I would eat here again. I posted the menu in my photos.

Really great spot. The quality of the food is very good. The building is a beautiful old building right in the middle of Uppsala. Would recommend for a nice meal.

We went for dinner while visiting the city. Carpacio, Halibut and dessert were perfect. We enjoyed it very much. I would love to come back here anytime

A solid burger chain with delicious, well-made burgers and friendly service. The staff is welcoming, the food is consistently good, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Perfect for a quick, satisfying dinner.

Finally tasted the vegan oreo milkshake. It was super good and would buy again. Also tried the chicken burger buffalo and so far the best chicken burger in town. I love all the vegan menu and normally go for the vegan burger New York. Great place to go for fast food regardless of you are vegan or not.

Cool place, I was very much digging the playlist. Burgers were awesome, as well as the fries. A local beer on tap would have been a nice option. The app is a bit annoying to use, I would have rathered order directly with the friendly lady in the bar. Curious about the table decor, can those logo-likenesses be used since it's kinda satire? Great burger spot! They are quick and efficient and while the selection of burgers is small, they are delicious! We ate at a few different Bastard Burger locations throughout our stay in Uppsala/Stockholm and our 4 kids always found something to eat/drink on the menu - very kid/family friendly. Wish we had this chain on the West Coast USA!

Classic well made burger, with consistent quality. The premium chicken burger has a bit to go - the fried chicken part is better at McDonald's. The chicken was not seasoned all through and not very crispy. Chill & relaxed atmosphere.

The service was well below expectations. The beer on tap blew, and they didn't even attempt to get it back up and running. The lady didn't bother to ask anyone in the kitchen to help. It wasn't busy (we were the only ones in line). The food was good. Cool little building with outdoor seating.

The food is good and nice staff. The place is very nice cozy. The bowling could be really fun. before eating. The price may be a bit high, it is just personal preference.

Great Ambience and wonderful service

I had one burger, it was ok, but nothing special. Even if we were almost the only one in the restaurant it took 40 - 50 minutes to get the food. Personal was friendly and the place looked nice

We went for a bowling night a couple days ago with a group of friends. Really nice place and very neat and friendly personnel. The service was great. Definitely gonna visit again.

Sports bar with an option to do some sports. We bowled there, for three people one hour bowling price was 395 SEK, which is decent. There are nice places to sit inside. The place was convenient to reach but was just a bit crowded in the bowling arena. The food however was pricey, the price of a burger is around 200 SEk.

Good food here, however I wished they would change the beer menu. It seems to be the same list for the last several years. Place is newly renovated and looks good. As always, the service was not the best.

we had an absolutely great dinner celebrating our anniversary at this cozy place. from the steak to cocktail to wine selection, we loved it. great service & vibe as well, staff were helpful and gave great recommendations on drinks. be sure to book a reservation! space is quite small & fills up quick which makes it quite warm in there but you may forget that after the wine & food haha.

The place is nice. Minus for the crammed tables. The outdooe seatings looked better from outside than actually sitting there. The place was a bit dark due to dark colored sunshades. My steak was at first not cooked until medium that I had to send it back (the steak was rare). The food was okay. I could feel that the meat was of good quality (had the dry aged sirloin), but it felt as if something was lacking to feel that I had great steak experience.

We had the steak ribeye and chef's burger. Very tasty. Good atmosphere too and service. But only 1 toilet for over 50 people sometimes? Very annoying to wait 10 minutes and for food to get cold.

Depends on when you get there. Sometimes it's chill, but one friday they had loud bad swedish hiphop. Cocktails quality varies on bartender. My company got a good one, and mine was okay but not good. Tried out dinner here too. The prices are good, but you ger what you pay for. The only thing that had okay flavour was the skagentoast.

Wonderful place in all aspects. I managed to book the table within one day and got offered the best one they had (by the main window), but I guess you should call asap after the opening to get it, however the place didn't seem too crowded on Saturday evening. Food was delicious, we ordered Kalvfile because Lax was missing. And we did like Rose sparkling wine. Overall fantastic place: amazing view, delicious food, pretty good service and decent price for everything.

The restaurant is a good looking building with nice surroundings. When we entered, the staff was very friendly. When we a sat down, there were very few dishes to choose from. We chose chicken with pasta. It wasn't good, the chicken was extremely dry and tough. The pasta were cold. The only plus is the price, it was much cheaper than other restaurants. If you want a good food for a lunch, I would not recommend this place

Unacceptable behavior from the guards insulting customers for no reason. The guards are abusive. Called my girlfriend a wh*re in turkish. Seems generally like a psycho guard who Ive also seen get violent.

Good vibes, great burgers, expensive beer!

Been wanting to come here for a long time and it definitely lived up to the expectations- and more! Food is amazing. They suggest 2 dishes to sort of cover a main dish. We skipped the snacks and went for 3 dishes each instead to try as many goodies as possible. Some dishes have been on the menu since the very start of the restaurant and others are new and switched up every now and then Wine is a big focus here as well. Was able to ask for something heavy and weird and got 2 different exciting things Service and staff is amazing too. We purposely booked the chefs table and got to talk with everyone. Look for the guy with the K5 logo tattooed on the arm - owner extraordinaire with lots of passion! All in all super happy!

One of the best spots in Uppsala. The service team is super friendly and the food is just … delicious. I really like that you can always ask for recommendations and that they have a regional and seasonal menu. I would recommend to book a table in advance if you’re more than two people since the place is very cozy.

Pleasantly surprised with the food. Meatloaf with potatoes was beautifully plated and tasted amazing. Above average lunch price but worth it, will definitely be back for the food again. Loved the big window, great for watching people. The place was not very spacious and having chairs everywhere felt cramped during lunch, but the atmosphere was very cozy and somewhat romantic. Highly recommended!

Ambience is nice, but this is what smashed potatoes were like. Not smashed! The taste was nothing like smashed potatoes. They were 5 baby potatoes with all the ingredients mentioned in the menu. Not at all value for money.

The outdoor seatings are quite okay. Not on a busy street. View over Uppsala cathedral. Indoors - interior in dark wood. Looks slightly old (which some may think look charming). Friendly and considerate staff. The food is generally what is expected of british food - not very interesting or flavourful. Not much to choose from the menu. They seem to be good at some fried dishes. The fried scampi was great and my husband enjoyed their fish & chips.

Great beer, great food, great service! Came here to taste a local craft beer from Uppsala, stayed there thanks to the super nice interaction with the waitress & the chef. I'm glad I did, cause the food was perfect! I had some onion rings with the sirloin steak. I asked for a rare, and I got a rare steak that was full of flavour with a whiskey & pepper sauce (a bit too spicy for me, but nothing was left on my plate!). Chips were delicious as well, with perfect crisp and nice herbs seasoning 👍 I NEED to come back to Uppsala to come eat there soon!! Love to the team 💙 wish you all the best!

Nice place to have craft draft beer. Great options of draft beer, cozy place, delicious food and friendly staff. Many good draft beer options, and what most important, local ones from Uppsala breweries

I came for dinner and got myself a mushroom burger. Put it bluntly, it was not good. Mushroom patty was very starchy and doughy, resulting in a weird clay-like texture and the patty being very dry. Besides tasting floury, the flavor was also overpowered by some strong spices in the patty. On a lighter note, the fries were the highlight of this meal. Super crispy and piping hot, they were good enough for an extra star. Overall I wouldn’t get another mushroom burger here.

Big fan of the interior design here - the place is beautiful! Love all the colors and the vibe The food is also great - nor super big portions but very filling once you finish what you have on the plate. They know their stuff! The cocktail menu has some interesting and unique things that I am looking forward to trying but haven’t yet Pro tip to all other restaurants: Big ice cubes at the bottom of the glass and pebbled ice up top. Avoids over dilution and still looks pretty in a tall glass! The homemade lemonade was served this way and staid tasty all the way to the bottom of the glass

Great experience in this restaurant ! The place is gorgeous, the staff was very friendly and efficient. The food and cocktails were incredible. We came in early and the staff gave us our table no problem, I was annoying with modifications on my cocktails and the waitress was so accommodating, such a lovely experience. The price is fair for such a quality food in Uppsala downtown and with such decorations and interior it’s really a must go !

This place is great for big groups and the staff is super nice. They manage logistics like pros. We had lunch here on a Saturday and it was full house. The food is not the greatest, but is ok, Don’t order the asparagus risotto - way too salty and the strawberries make no sense. We also had the Nina pasta, which was good Our favorite was the tuna tartare. The drinks were the best part and I think next time I’ll go for starters drinks and dessert not main dishes. Pizza looks good.

Such a nice Italian restaurant with beautiful decoration. The food is 10/10 on everything especially the homemade pasta and freashly baked Pizza. The lunch menu is very good deal (155 sek) including bread and coffee. Highly recommended!

We stumbled upon Basta by accident — and we’re so happy we did! The interior decor is absolutely gorgeous, very grand and original, creating wonderful ambiance. The staff were very welcoming and kind, which added to the overall wonderful experience. We started with their house-made lemonades (lemon & mint, and strawberry & raspberry). Both were delicious and artfully presented — refreshing, balanced, and a perfect way to begin the meal. For food, we had the bruschetta with burrata cheese, the carbonara, and a Neapolitan pizza. The bruschetta was very tasty, and the addition of the creamy burrata brought an extra richness and freshness that we loved. The carbonara was absolutely phenomenal - the smell is enough to make you go crazy before you even dig in! And it didn’t disappoint. Creamy and flavorful, with a nice consistency that felt satisfying without being too heavy. The Neapolitan pizza was nicely done, with a light, airy dough and a wonderfully crisp crust. The flavors were well-balanced, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out. It really felt like an authentic Italian pizza. We also noticed that the dinnerware itself was really nice and authentically Italian, adding to the overall dining experience. Even the backs of the plates had markings showing they were made especially for the restaurant — a lovely touch that adds to the feel of exclusivity (as you can see in the photos). Overall, this was a fantastic find and a highlight of our trip. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for great Italian-inspired food, beautiful ambiance, and warm, attentive service. We can’t wait to return!

Food is superb. Not big portions but the quality is over the top. Be mindful tourists of color. When we wanted to pay we were told they didn’t take credit cards. Only debit cards. When we asked why they told us that “they wanted to make sure they had the money.”When we offered to pay in cash they didn’t allow it either. It took some minutes to the server to go back to management and rectify the issue. Finally we could pay with a credit card. I wonder how a popular restaurant in a tourist area would do that. What a horrible experience. Quite snobbish place.

I love this place , people are friendly and there is alot of games to play , one of my favourite bars in Uppsala ,good security too and friendly staff members everytime I come to Uppsala i got straight here, loads of fun with friends and new people !

Since this is the only place of its kind in uppsala there's really not much comparison, but the place is unnecessarily expensive and the food is really underwhealming. If you go skip the food it's really not worth the 150sek you'll pay. The place doesn't even have free wifi for crying out loud, I guess they wanted me to pay for it as well. Being so cheap really hurts the reputation of the bar. Go only if you really want to do pool or shuffleboard, otherwise go to an actual bar/restaurant.

A very classy nice restaurant, warm welcoming, followed by an excellent service, juicy house burger with homemade sauce was excellent (!). No word to say that it was awesome. Mike's Pizza menu can be another suprise for every one with prizes and test. The service always with a smile and very patient with clients. Meanwhile same time, People can enjoy different live sports in this restaurant, this is best sports bar in Uppsala for those who can enjoy all the moments with friends. Conclusion, if you have the opportunity to go eat there, do not hesitate !

This place had very good food. Sadly the environment is a bit on the noisy side and the metal pillar in the tables can make it a bit hard to properly talk with people in your group since they block the view. The food however is of very high quality. The schnitzel is paired with a nice sauce and well flavored spiced butter and thr curry wurst sausage has a high percentage of meat and lots of flavor. I'd definitely want to visit again another time and have some other nice food.

First off I'm German (from Munich, Bavaria). As such there are good and bad things about the Alt Berlin where the positives outweigh in the end. Who would I recommend it for? Friends who are looking to enjoy some drinks together and people who want to get a first taste of German drinks and cuisine. Who isn't this for? Picky people who expect top notch cuisine and who prefer a quiet place. The food was above average, although it is not what I would call 'traditional' or 'authentic'. The Gin and Tonics were spot on however! Overall, it felt a bit too crowded, too smelly, and tried to be too many things at the same time without excelling at anything.

Everything is good about this place. Simple and robust meny. Cozy interior. Interesting beer assortment and classic (big) portion of German food.

Great service, food and atmosphere. I originally thought this was just a beer bar but was pleasantly surprised that they also had good food and a huge variety of cider. A big plus also that they are dog-friendly and hbtqia+ friendly! You also get a discount on the food if you have a ticket to a show at the Regina Theater around the corner which makes this place great for pre-show dinner.

A very thematic and cool place, showing e sport and having a general gaming themed decor, drinks and events. I would recommend going for an e-sport live event or as a stop on your evening pub crawl, but not for food. Even from the pictures, it's obvious that this place doesn't specialize in food - it is grocery store frozen section at best, but probably not even that as the chicken burger had a fishy taste to it. They also charge more for their burgers than many actual burger places in the city, which, for me, is beyond reasoning.

I really wanted to like this place, but they dropped the ball in irreparable fashion. A while back I called to make a reservation for a sports event on 26.10.2024. While discussing the reservation I made clear that we’re going to be a group of at least 10 people throughout the night, but more will join later, some will leave early so, it can be 15, it can be 20 at some point, but at least 10 will sit throughout the night to watch the particular event. I made clear that I do not intend to harass my friends for definitive answers and that this flexibility is important, but that I totally understand if they can’t accommodate us due to the uncertain number of guests. They said it’s fine and we booked a table. I went there in person to check the space and make sure our reservation can accommodate a good amount of people. I chatted with a very nice lady that showed me around and we agreed on a particular area with a long set of tables that can easily accommodate this group. I then called once again to make sure that everything is fixed. Come the night of the event, we get there and realise the area I booked was given away “because they were more than 10 and they are having food. Your reservation was made for 10 people and there was no note in the system that you’re more than 10”. Ok? And how is that my problem? I already went above and beyond to make sure a booking for a big group of uncertain number can be made. We were moved to another area where some people from my group were seated, some were standing, some were split at different tables. The guy who gave my table away tried his best to accommodate us, which he managed after more than 1 hour of standing. He addressed me and everyone else in the group in a pissed and “hetsig” manner as if their poor decision making was our fault. I would have expected some gesture of goodwill, a snack on the house for the group, something small to ease the tensions and not lose each and every one of us as future customer, but no. I reckon hospitality is a thing of the past. Initially we wanted to order food, but this treatment made us change our minds. The ones who really wanted to eat had to jog the place to find a waitress and place the order. Then jog again to get cutlery. Then jog again for whatever else might be needed. Table service is nonexistent and their app does not work. All in all we were able to watch the event, that’s all I can say. They made a few volume adjustment for us, which was appreciated, only a pity we couldn’t sit at the same table as a group. Events like the one we were watching take place every few weeks and we wanted to make these hangouts a regular thing, but luckily there are other sports bars in Uppsala which, unlike Kappa Bar, are ran by service-minded people.

About once every 3-4 months since they’ve opened in Uppsala, me and my friends tell ourselves that maybe the previous time we went was just a bad day for the bar. Yet, every single time we end up regretting going there: We’re not shy to flag staff down, but despite several people waving, they completely ignore you even if you make sure they’re not actively serving some other table. The app doesn’t have almost anything on (and the kitchen always seems to not have at least 3/4 of the food they put on their menu), so we kind of need to get the staff to take our orders? The portions are ridiculously small for what they charge, like the pictures of the fries I ordered, basically all paper. The burgers that cost 120/150kr and come without fries are about the size of a mcdonald’s cheeseburger. BUT TO THE MAIN ISSUE: I understand that it can happen to anyone to have problems in the kitchen, but when it’s a daily occurrence then maybe you’re managing it poorly? Whenever we go, we arrive at different times and it happens on a regular basis that we all order the same thing and the last to arrive receive their food before the others who maybe arrived over an hour before. Last time we went two of us ordered fries, waited for an hour because “the kitchen is backed up”, another friend shows up and orders fries and something else and receives them after 10 minutes. We went to the kitchen to ask what happened to our order and we’re told to be patient because they’re serving the people before us.🤷🏻‍♀️This has now happened 3 times, this exact scenario. The concept is nice, but I didn’t know anything could be executed so poorly.

This place is just like expected. Loud, dark, many screens and the food that is fitted for these kind of places. Not a place if you just want to grab some drink or food. I think this place is for young people and students that would like to gather and have a good time. For adults having own houses, big enough to have friends over and owning some gaming gadgets already - not much. I also found that many games on playstation were of similar kind, which were not of my preference. But I also understand that there may be limited amount of games that can be played for a short time (ie not games with long story line that needs to be saved) I had wombo combo, which tasted like pre bought, frozen food that they just cooked (fried) at the spot. My husband had a burger that was pretty nice - much better than expected. I thought it would be pre bought patties, but they were actually made from scratch. Pink in the middle. The food was served about 30 min after ordering.

The burgers were ok. The sauce made up for its dry taste. Honestly disappointed with the staff. The waiter was extremely rude and brought our check even though we didn’t ask for it. Would not go again

This place deserves credit for its excellent service. Peter and his members (Daniella, Mine, Alice and Amanda) are outstanding. There are few restaurants in town that provide the same level of quality service. In my opinion, they're unmatched in terms of treating their guests. They’re lighting fast!!! The staff is always happy to help or answer questions. Even on busy days, you are received by a smiling team that always provide help and service within a short time. Their food is good, and they have lots of options on their menu. Here you feel super welcome and respected. Hence, if you want to have a good time, with delicious food and nice people I strongly recommend this place

I love going on dates here. The quizzes are fun and they even had a stand up show by The Laugh House with Kyla Cobbler. It was rather an intimate show so the crowd felt a little shy but gosh darn they were funny. When Kyla came on stage I nearly peed from laughter. I reccomend the mushroom burger if you like mushrooms. The themed drinks and foods is very fun. I'm a sucker for a giggle but they're not only fun. It does really taste good too.

I used to come here some years ago, and I always felt like it was a welcoming place, and a nice environment. But my last visit totally disappointed. The bar tenders definitely did not seem to want us there, even if we were a crowd of 10, willing to spend money in the bar. They did not want to serve us and they kept attending only the people they were more familiar with. Also, half the shots we wanted to try were not available, and they ended up convincing us to try one, which we later figured out it was the most expensive of the entire bar.

Fantastic bartender. He was everything you want in a bartender of such place: interesting, dedicated and very pleasant to talk to. I recommend this place if you want a "in-between" stop from a previous bar or restaurant to the next place!

There are a lot of really fun shots and everyone here is very entertaining and nice. Sebastian is an especially cool bartender! Loved it, and would definitely recommend!

So long story short, after drinking one cider and two shots i had to buy some cigarettes in the shop on the opposite side of street. and that was mistake.... I was told that in Uppsala, tipsy people sometimes get thrown out of the bar when they visit outdoors for smokes. I didn't believe it until I experienced it myself. I totally understand that drunken, bad behaving/ill people have to be sent off, but to be kicked out after just two drinks was absurd especially since visibly more drunk Swedish girls (which we were not) were let in. Even though it is a shot bar, do not get dunk or even tipsy at Shotluckan unless you have long blond hair.

Very nice in terms of student prices, however when I was there for the first time it was really dirty. The floors were super sticky and there were dirty plates and glasses on the tables. Maybe organise the students responsible to take a bit more care of the place. It really has potential! Just needs to be maintained

Considering that all nations do not resemble a bar but a classroom and they are dedicated for cheap beer and alcohol Uplands is the best.

Review for pub; easily the cosiest beer garden in Uppsala, beats the regular places. Great selection of beer and usually good music, food is alright but the burgers a little strange in their combos. Pitty the beer fridges seem to keep 17-18 degrees, even a brown ale should be served colder and I was drinking IPA and lager. Cool it down please!

Hands down best pizza in town (quality ingredients and no appalling "kebab" alternatives :-D)! Very good fish&chips. Great beer selection (try Firesone Pivo!). One star off for too "Indian" regular menu. Not something you expect when coming to a pub.

There are 2 floors through which is nice On a non-weekend it’s pretty quiet and good deals on the food The plank steak was the go to which was ok aside from the powder-based mashed potatoes that was very dry. The place is good to hangout, food take times to arrive and not so fresh, in weekends they got karaoke in the 2nd floor and that is a plus, prices are not expensive compared to other bars, like harry's bear cost 75 and in lion bar it cost 55 kronors. It is normally hard to find a parking near to it even thought there is a parking on the opposite side of the road behind the train crossroad.

It's a cheap dive bar with affordable drinks and questionable clientele. They have kareoke though. If that's what you are looking for, it'll do (and won't break the bank, unlike the other bars in town). Don't expect toouch though. You get what you pay for ;)

Interior in dark colors & rock style. Quite spacious. Can be a bit noisy. The music wasn't the hard rock music as I've thought based on the interior - it was more chill than at Hard Rock Café. The flavour of the food was very.. simple. Maybe I chose the wrong kind of food. The food I had felt like a nice snack to beer, but not something that would bring gastromic satisfaction.

This kind of place had been missing from Uppsala. A very fresh rock bar that really impresses with great music, drinks and overall feeling. And a jukebox to queue music and also a pinball machine that is free to play! What more could you want!? 👍
