Its a great idyllic area beside the big park in our town and perfect for a place to relax and enjoy some historical buildings in a cozy athmosphere, both for tourists and locals in all ages. There is just one thing missing and that is...longer opening hours during the summer! Its way too early to close everything at 5pm in such a lovely place during high season when people are enjoying summer nights.

Gentle fun for the kids, with historical buildings to look around. Nice ice cream shop, cafe and a shop selling lots of things for kids, crystals Harry Potter stuff, some homeware. There’s a big park next to this place, with playgrounds and a water splash playground that’s free to use. Big hit in the summer! Easy parking nearby. A fun and not very demanding afternoon for the kids.

We were out for a walk and happened to find the market that day. The atmosphere was perfect, with lots of delicious food. Although I can’t really judge Wadköping without the market, since we were so lucky to be there that day, I must say it was a very pleasant surprise. Still, the place itself is very beautiful and definitely worth a visit.

The castle is beautiful and I like the surrounding small islands. Exhibition wise its not the best but not bad either, I think its nice that there is information about the castle’s history with some fun facts. We saw the witch exhibition as well which was very well done even tho it was not always based on facts. It had a nice atmosphere!

Örebro castle is very good in outside view. It was really nice from outside. But once you entered to the inside, literally there is nothing to see. They had only few mini models of city, castle which has covered with glasses. Other than that a drawing area for kids and stories of witches who has been in history and was doing black magic. All stories were interested to read but they are stories which no one has proof of anything. I don't think this place deserves more stars as it only good from outside only⭐. But still good place for someone who interests with these witches related stories.

We enjoyed our visit to Orebro Castle. It was much better than we expected. Of course there is plenty of history on the castle and Orebro. But they also had a very well done witches exhibit. The dungeon was very cool. But be prepared for stairs. Swedish and English are both used throughout the castle.

Dear San Franciscan, Welcome to Sweden. This is one of the drop off and pick up site for us when we are in Örebro. This is a small castle. We arrived around 5pm and must leave by 7pm. So, we only utilized this town to get dinner nearby. We went inside the castle, but it was closed and there was not lots to observe. I noticed there’s an increase of smokers in this town.

Interesting exhibitions inside historical örebro castle. Unfortunately text is mostly in Swedish but it was still interesting to walk around. The interiors are quite modern and you cannot see much of the old castle.

It was a mixture of an historical museum and random modern art. Everything more or less beautiful but most of the signs are swedish without an english translation. As a tourist there was not much to learn about the castle and it's history. Also for 130 kr it was high prized.

Free entry, each year around Xmas new year, they show a jury-jydged exhibition of art from the county. Very nicely organised. Also there is a Veg Cafe on the premises.

Beautiful manor and the garden is lovely - arranged in the original style with a mix from vegetables, fruits and flowers. A small Ice cream Shop makes it very children friendly. One of the historical buildings hosts a small exhibition of the former life on the manor, including some tools and pictures. Descriptions are mostly Swedish but also some in English. Next to the manor is a horsestable, which adds to the feeling of the place. We couldn't access the inside of the manor.

Disgracefully overpriced on midsummer. They should be ashamed of themselves. This is supposed to be a cultural center. 480kroner for 6 beer bottles. The lady didn't even know her own prices and said ""oh that's an old menu"". And that was already ridiculous. Disgraceful.

Nice place for kids, come every year at least once from Stockholm and my son likes it a lot. Cool train, cars with all of these traffic lights, small cafe with ice cream and coffe.

Really fun little island with lots to do for kids. I just wish they opened a bit earlier. We were there at 0930 :)

You (and your children) can ride a train (ca 15min), play at the playground, search after (wooden) beavers in their kingdom, play music, drive electronic cars or learn about the traffic rules. It has pool areas that are covered in accommodation packages. The attraction lost city has separate entry ticket. A one night, two day stay seems quite adequate to experience a change from my busy schedule.

Really fun and nice, after lunch it was long queues to all the slides and quite crowded in the river, this was during the high season. Being able to checkout from the parking and money on the wrist band is more of a limit since you only pay for what you use, very convenient.

I was really surprised and I couldn't imagine such a park in Sweden. I was not too much disappointed because the price was cheap (~195sek per person on Sunday) and I did not suffer too much damage.

A lovely, well cared for garden

A short walk up the hill on the stairs. Good structure, you get a 20min walk through before you continue on the different tracks. Our 9 year old had no problem going on track green and blue. Our 6 year old thought it was a bit tricky using the hooks and a little bit scary. We ended up doing half of the green track. There is a free version for younger kids which was perfectly fine tough. We spent about 2h in total.

Great climbing park in the trees up on the hill! Different levels, therefore as good for beginners and children as for experienced people. I also like that there is a little course at the beginning aground to learn how to use the snags and hooks.

I studied at the International Master's Program during 2010-2012 , an amazing experience both academically and professionally, amazing people, place, practices. Örebro is highly recommended if one likes to be closer to nature e.g. city of cycling, economically affordable, lakes, parks, industry, history, modernity, iconic resorts, culture all in one. The city was at the top in most the reports of region for maintaining most of the sustainability indicators! Highly recommended!

I studied an "intentional master" here and was amazed by how low the quality of the education is at Orebro university, compared to other Swedish universities. It was obvious that they let people pass so that they would get money from the state. To me, it is not woth the time and money to get a degree from here. I advice against studying here.

It will be long but very suitable for the wheelchair and stroller. If you are taking any marked trails do not miss the markings otherwise you might be going into the forest and paths will be difficult. We didn't see any animals so it might not be interesting for the kids. But you can spot lot of birds in this place.

Great place to visit on Nice sunny day to enjoy walk in the forest and explore flower's with kids. Little disappointment for us is we couldn't finish full walk because of the path(we have kid with wheelchair and the path from half way is not suitable for wheelchair), other than that we enjoyed walking and barbecue. In the season it's a good option to pick blueberries
