The 13 best bars and drinks in Getxo

It doesn’t look much from the outside but the food was really tasty. The goat cheese salad was absolutely gorgeous and the zamburinas were also great. The potatoes were very spicy 🥵 but good!

After a walk along the long beach promenade in Getxo I fancied a sit down and a snack. I started looking for bars that offered a vast array of Pintxos and decided on this place and I'm glad I did! :) I walked in and my eyes were presented with more savoury bar treats than I could of imagined! I went for 5 different pieces (at €1 each) both meat and seafood ones and they were all amazing, but especially the jamón ones...I could of gone back for more but held back! So, if you want a true taste of Basque Pintxo delights then definitely check out this place if you're in the area! I was that impressed I had to give it 5 stars! ;D

I stumbled across this pintxos bar in Instagram, thought I'd give it a go, and I can tell you that it did not dissapoint. There are a lot of pintxos to choose from and the service was super friendly. With Jai Alai and El Globo, it's hard to make a choice in which I prefer. Definitely my current top 2 pintxo bars in Bilbao. Go for it! * My photos don't do my experience justice, but trust me, it's worth it. I'll definitely be coming back 👌🏽😉

Lovely range of pintxos, however the terrace is dirty covered in litter and bird poo, and tables take a long time to be cleaned. Also, the service was poor and unfriendly.

In the heart of Getzo, near Bilbao, this place has all the numbers to be one of the pest Pintxo places in town. Amazing location (5 min from the beach and on top of a parking), closed road (no cars), big terrace (with tables and umbrellas) and amazing food (from the smallest pintxo to the biggest racion everything smells and taste authentic and yummi). This place does not serve at the table (as the traditional pintxo bar) you have to get in and tell the guys at the bar what you want. Just go and enjoy.

Made a reservation to watch the six Nations with my Irish partner and friends, unfortunately the host forgot to write it down and we couldn't enjoy our lunch while watching some good rugby. Very disappointing as we were curious on the Irish culture abroad and try a nice pint of Guinness!

This is a large pub in Algorta in the "Irish Export" style of dark wood and fake adverts. Notwithstanding this the pub provides a very decent pint of Guinness as well as Paulaner and other beers. They have a good menu and there are 9 tables outside.

Was looking for good, vegan food for a while- but with little luck. But Txinuk had exactly what I needed, not a fully vegan menu, but extremely vegan friendly! Try some of their nicely priced and tasting beers and their amazing food. Will definitely go back next time I'm in town!

Lovely bar, went there a few nights ago and enjoyed my time very much! A very wide variety of beers (both local and international/belgian/american/etc.), nicely presented (and tasting!!) food and very friendly staff willing to help quickly. OMG, some of the greatest seafood ever! Our guide Ceci from our bike tour recommended Eskarra, and she should know that she used to work here. The catch is fresh, local, and incredibly reasonable. We almost couldn't stop eating. It was that hood. The scallops were some of the best we ever had, and the crab was heavenly. While Getxo is a little ways out of Bilbao, its worth the trip as this Tabernavis a gem!
