Not sure what the fuss is but it was just ok. Maybe I’m more of a Cold Stone customer, or Ashley’s or gelato. There were unfortunately a bit of ice in my ice cream, so even though it was mint oreo fudge, I expected a creaminess to the ice cream outside of the chunks. The mini was actually a full scoop and larger than I expected after seeing their serving size. Usually, shops hand you the ice cream and you pay, but the server placed my ice in a holder and continued to finish a large order before me, so that I had to wait, watching my cone. LOL.

Great habit of stopping here for ice cream when we are in Durango. Bonus that it was perfect patio weather too!! Today’s choices were vanilla bean, Belgium chocolate & coffee chocolate chip. All creamy, delicious and made an excellent combination.

Visited June 2025 Everyone in Durango seems to adore Cream Bean Berry and I get it. Their commitment to the environment is front and center, from their locally sourced organic ingredients to their mission to “strive for maximum environmental sustainability in every aspect of the business.” That’s not just a tagline, it shows in everything they do. And I absolutely respect and support that! That said… I had the strawberry ice cream in a cup, and as much as I wanted to love it, I just didn’t. The biodegradable spoon they provided was a bit of a deal breaker for me. I know there are small metal spoons available (or you can BYO), but by the time I figured that out, the texture and flavor had already gone sideways. I’m all for saving the planet, and am grateful for businesses like this one who work hard to make it happen, but sadly I didn’t finish my scoop. It just didn’t taste like strawberry ice cream anymore once the spoon started doing its weird thing. Clearly a well-loved local gem with a big heart and a mission I consistently support, but for me, this one was a miss. Maybe I will try again next visit and bring my own spoon!

My husband and I shared a waffle cone with: - Pumpkin Spice - Pear Sorbet - Mixed Berry Crisp - Strawberry Balsamic The strawberry balsamic and pear were my favorites. The pear flavor was so intense—I loved it. The balsamic was the perfect addition to strawberry and it was one of the best strawberry ice cream flavors I've had. The mixed berry crisp was mostly vanilla—it needed more mixed berry. I don't think the pumpkin spice was vegan, but it was kind of dry and not very creamy like non-dairy ice cream frequently is. They have some really great flavors, but unfortunately they don't do samples. I honestly considered not getting anything because of this. Hopefully you can get lucky and get flavors you like because there are some really good ones.

Will return. An average shop, relaxed; no tasting. They make the corn, which is not too common. I’ve vegan cookie and cream - it tastes like my store bought - guess I’m not too adventurous in ice cream.

Went here for dessert and lemme tell you it was extremely delicious. Had the brownie sundae with salted caramel and that was an excellent combination. Will recommend of you like a sweet treat .

We had a short wait, but not bad. Got seated , waiter was great to help with any questions we had about food and menu . Our food came out in a timely manner. My steak was cooked just right . We really enjoyed our meal and visit there.

I had an absolutely fantastic first experience at the restaurant that truly left a lasting impression. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. Our waitress, Shelby, went above and beyond—her attentiveness to both my wife and me was flawless, and she Maintained a warm, friendly attitude throughout our visit. The food was simply outstanding. As a Cajun chef myself, I couldn’t resist trying their chicken and sausage jambalaya soup, and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly seasoned, with a vibrant mix of spices, hearty sausage, and fresh vegetables that truly highlighted the dish’s bold flavors. cheeseburger with fries, nachos, and both a non-alcoholic beverage and a craft beer, all of which met my expectations. Overall, I highly recommend this establishment to visitors in Durango. It is worth experiencing, especially given its multiple television screens suitable for watching sporting events. I rate this restaurant a perfect 10 out of 10.

This an enjoyable venue with great food. We were offered the option of sitting out back in an open air deck with a roof. Or inside. Jason, or server was quick to take our order and returned regularly to address our needs and top-off our drinks. I had the Cajun Cavatappi Pasta, and my friend had their wings. They were the biggest tastiest smoked wings either of us had eaten. The pasta was amazing. You're crazy if you don't try this place! YUMMY👍👏

Pretty busy for a Wednesday. But my bacon burger had no bacon...and the artichoke dip was overcooked. Our server was excellent. The 2 beers I tasted were awesome...

The pizza and burger were excellent. We added some extras to the pizza. Didn’t try the beer but I heard it was good. Sweet tea was amazing. Would love to go back .

Massive portions, delicious food and beer. We frequently stop here when we're spending a night in Durango, because the service is excellent and the quality is dependable. Always get on the wait list before coming down, because it's always busy.

We had a wonderful experience here! Our server was top notch and everything we ordered was great. We had the crispy buffalo wings, ribeye steak, and carrot cake. Last but not least, of course we had their beer. Couldn’t have asked for a better lunch experience during our visit in Durango.

Amazing service and amazing food. The cocktails were a real surprise- really inventive and unique with a lot of effort in homemade ingredients like a special dirty martini brine and a cilantro tequila infusion. The steak was amazing, and did not disappoint. Brussel sprouts and potatoes were phenomenal. Our waitress was kind, fun, and made the evening feel special.

Amazing service and even better food. Yes, this place is pricy—but it’s a perfect example of “you get what you pay for.” From the half glass of wine for me and mocktail for my 7 year old upon seating to the food and drink recommendations, the service was impeccable and made us feel like we were the most important diners in the restaurant. The food was perfectly timed; none of that “here’s your salad” and three minutes later, your meal. Plan to spend both money and time here—this isn’t a $20 get-in-get-out place—but you’ll enjoy every minute of it.

This was an outstanding dinner experience. From the beginning each item we ordered was well presented and exceeded our expectations. The cocktails we're exciting and unique, appetizers were intriguing and our steaks we're superb. And last but not least our service provided by Jaimie was spectacular. I am in the food business and this experience is one of the best I have had. Very well done indeed!

First time going. I strongly suggest making a reservation. We did because we read reviews and very happy I did. Even on a week night I heard people wanting seats to a full restaurant. So was worried about it being dark and dreary but it isnt. It has a nice feel and a touch of class. Our waiter was perfect. Shaun (not sure of spelling) did not rush us, did not consistently check on us and I saw him just take a look every now and then to make sure our glasses were full, and needs met. He was attentive, helpful but in no way caused us to feel like we needed to hurry up and leave. The food was very good. I have had a better steak, but I had no complaints about this one. It was just nice to have a dinner at an establishment that seems to want you there and happy to take care of you based on your speed and need.

This is a MUST-TRY steakhouse when your in Durango. It’s not only delicious, it’s an experience! Every item that touched our table was divine. The drinks, appetizers and entrees were beautifully served. The ambiance was everything perfect and intimate. The staff and server treat you like royalty and our dining standards just went up several notches after Ore House.

Reasonably priced fine dining with a theme. The steaks were all delicious, and the service top notch. The liquor selection was quite good, from wines to top shelf spirits, and the bartender was very skilled. All in all, a great experience, but plan ahead foe parking - it's at a premium, especially in busy nights. (Street parking is free after 6:00 PM.)

Recommend making reservations. You are asked to deposit $25 per person to hold your reservation which will be refunded when you actually show up. I thought it went towards the price of the meal. There is also seating at a bar which I believe is for no reservation seating.This restaurant has been in Durango, just off Main Street, since 1972. My parents used yo eat here. We came to celebrate my birthday and my mom who passed away last year. We were promptly seated. Super attentive staff, Dow to earth, friendly. The menu isn’t huge, which I like. Specialty is steak and surf. Was hoping for a chicken choice. There was a secret menu and a pork tenderloin was included in the secret menu. Housemade cornbread. It had a good flavor, served with a bacon butter, but didn’t hold its shape well so we ate it with a fork and generally made a crumbly mess. We ordered a 14 oz ribeye, which we split. They also split it in the kitchen cooking it to 2 different temps. Perfection. I would have preferred a different knife that was actually sharp. The lobster tails came with clarified butter and these were sweet and tender. We also ordered the wedge salad. It had a crispy thin fried onion, tomatoes, fried chunks of pie Kelly, and a sprinkle of Blue Cheese crumble from a local James Ranch in Durango. The wedge had a slight char. My husband’s had part of the core but we are a game of finding the core in our salads. There was also a sprinkle of champagne vinegarette along the perimeter of the plate that was divine. I would have preferred the Blue Cheese crumble and this dressing instead of the Blue Cheese dressing. The crumble was nice but the dressing overpowered the salad. We ordered the asparagus and potato to share. The asparagus with a bernaise sauce-asparagus were cooked perfectly. The sauce was ok. I would order it on the side. The potato was delicious, soft and tender, and the perfect balance of sour cream and butter. I think they probably brine the potato. It really was the perfect side for the steak. I am not a big fan of their pork belly chunks in the salad or potato. For me, they are too large and tough. I couldn’t pierce them with my fork. It’s a personal preference. Staff quick to clear dishes as the meal progresses. Super clean bathrooms. We were close to the kitchen but it was not a distraction as their communication was low key. Didn’t order dessert or alcohol. We loved their water and pellet ice, so good in Durango. It was a very good meal for a special occasion. We spent $160 plus tip which is something we NEVER do. Probably once in a lifetime meal. Highly recommend Ore House. You will love the experience, the attentive wait staff, and delicious food.

Amazing food and super friendly staff! The quiche and pastries were delicious, and the decor inside is really cool. The whole menu looks tempting—can’t wait to come back before we leave!

There is no need to travel to France since you can go to Jean Pierre Bakery. The decor is fantastic. Oil paintings styled from the 1800's. Wood floors all roughed up. Big huge comfortable chairs. Taxidermy animals on the wall along with chandeliers hanging from the rough ceiling beams. Get a chocolate croissant and enjoy.

On our roadtrip thru the Southwest we stayed in Durango and stopped at this amazing establishment. There’s so much variety in sweet treats you want to take it all home with you. Meeting the owner was tres magnifique too as he spoke French so we conversed for awhile. Stop in you won’t be disappointed.

Great breakfast spot downtown. It was great with two young kids. Pricey but very worth the experience. We ordered the eggs Benedict, omelette, fruit crepes, and stuffed croissant. Everything was expertly cooked and very delicious. The $11 glass of orange juice called me poor, but was delicious to the last drop. We grabbed some pastries to go and they were equally delicious. The staff is very jovial and are the friendliest people we’ve met in Durango. The kids enjoyed their food, the live piano, and the pastries. We’ll be coming back for breakfast.

We were very excited to have breakfast here as crepes are one of my favorite things to have for breakfast. The atmosphere is simply delightful with the feel of actually being in Europe. There are lovely breads and colorful desserts as you walk in the door to the left, some of them looking too delectable to actually eat. We arrived early so that we could sit at a table by the window. It was fun to people watch while we enjoyed our meal. Our food was delicious but we both agreed it was very overpriced. It cost us nearly $70 for two meals. I ordered the berry crepes and my daughter got the crab and avocado crepes. She raved about the flavor of the Hollandaise sauce, however, she said the crepe was mostly full of onions which greatly overwhelmed the bits of crab and avocado. It was a fun experience but we probably will not go there to eat again, however, we will pick up their delectable baked goods from time to time. The kind man who was our server kept up with our water refills and was quite attentive! The restaurant was spotlessly clean as were the restrooms. We were blessed to arrive at a time when a very sweet lady was playing the piano. The music was simply lovely, enhancing the already relaxed atmosphere with her beautiful notes.

I can not say enough about this place. The room is filled with amazing live piano music and the smell of fresh baked croissants! We did not mind waiting for a table, it gave us an opportunity to look at all of the amazing baked goods in the display case. The service is friendly and efficient. We had breakfast with eggs,bacon,breakfast potatoes and of course an amazing croissant. Served with in house berry jam and butter. The coffee is good,if you want a mimosa,it is oversized with fresh squeezed juice. This is a must visit spot .

Good service and fun atmosphere. There was a pianist playing ragtime when we visited. The interior is very old west aesthetic and very pleasant overall. We dined in for breakfast and I must say I was pretty disappointed with the quality and amount of food for the price. We got two crepes, assorted fruit, two eggs and 3 Jimmy Dean sausages. That cost about $35. The crepes were a bit overcooked. In summary, I think this is a great bakery but the restaurant side is not worth the money. Highly recommend to stop in for a pastry or fresh bread but I can't say the same for the breakfast dining experience. Service was wonderful though!

Such a wonderful experience and a true highlight of my trip! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm cup of cocoa to sip on. One of the employees kindly walked my sister and I through each of their chocolates, sharing stories about their company and each chocolate along the way. The customer service was exceptional, the staff were incredibly kind, and the cocoa and chocolates were absolutely delicious! You can tell these people truly care about their customers and put love into what they do.

This was our 2nd visit. The hot chocolate to sip while you browse is rich and delicious. The truffles are a true delight to be savored. The guy with the great hair is full of bad jokes the kids love. The kids enjoyed watching the team work in the back making chocolate. The very friendly owner took the time to explain to the kids what she was working on and how she entered the chocolate business. Great experience enjoying a local company.

What a wonderful Chocolate shop. Edie greeted us within a minute or so of coming in, asked if we'd like some drinking chocolate, we said yes please. The building is beautiful, staff professional and the chocolate is so delicious. We bought truffles and a chocolate bar. We'll be back Thank you for a wonderful experience.

So glad we didn’t miss this place! The chocolate is amazing and the old fashioned was mixed perfectly. Make sure to ask for a taste of their drinking chocolate!

Very cozy Chocolate/Coffee Shop. The Bandito was amazing! Barista Kyle was funny and made our experience enjoyable. Very relaxing place to unwind.

This place was a pleasant surprise, the menu is extensive and the customer service excellent. We stopped in for coffee after dinner; I was just expecting coffee in a paper cup and chocolate in a bag, what I got was an experience. Everything was presented with quality ingredients and care. I had the Mocha and my wife had an Irish coffee that came with a piece of chocolate. She said it was the best surprise ever because the chocolate went so well with the Irish coffee.

Wow — no visit to Durango is complete without a stop at Michel’s! The crêpes were excellent and generous, served with Michel’s warm smile and his amazing ability to adapt to all our requests. MERCI, Chef! It was a real pleasure for me and my family.

My husband, who is French, and I enjoyed a glorious autumn morning at Michel’s Corner Crepes! We almost felt transported back to France as we sat outside, surrounded by aromatic flowers and herbs, and listened to classical music and a bubbling water fountain. I was so excited after learning almost every crepe could be made gluten free for me!! My apple, cheddar, brown sugar crepe was incredible, and my husband loved his savory ham, Gruyère, tomato crepe. We were happily surprised with complimentary spiced fruit apple cider! The service was great, and Michel was so friendly and talked with us for a little while! We plan to return soon!

Amazing little spot! Gallettes & Gluten Free crepe options - beautifully crafted and delicious! A must visit for Durango. Also the patio is a glorious retreat in the Rockies.

Michel’s Crepes was a highlight of our dining experiences in Durango! The crepes were so delicious, and the crepe stand with outdoor dining had a wonderful atmosphere. I tried the chocolate, banana, and almond crepe and it was absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend Michel’s Corner Crepes to anyone visiting Durango!

I had an amazing time here with my family while visiting Durango. We ordered three types of crepes: turkey, provolone, and lingonberries; chicken and wild mushrooms, and lemon cream. We also ordered French onion soup. We also got complimentary apple cider with cinnamon, which was a nice touch. The food was delicious, and the service was exquisite for a casual crepe stand. The outdoor seating was fine, though it was a bit cold.

Hidden gem! This tiny restaurant may have only a few tables, but it delivers big on flavor and quality. Every dish we tried was incredibly fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and absolutely delicious. The cozy, intimate atmosphere adds to its charm, and the attention to detail in both the food and service makes it clear this place is run with care and passion. It’s the kind of spot you almost want to keep secret—but it deserves all the praise. A must-visit for anyone who loves discovering truly special places to eat.

Stopped in for dinner here with my son. He loves sushi and was very excited to try a new place. He ordered the Dragon roll and we also ordered the Lime Twist at the recommendation of the waiter. Both rolls were delicious. I ended up preferring the Dragon and my son the Lime Twist, so that worked out really well. I also ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp and I'm glad I did, as it was outstanding. We were a bit surprised when we entered that the restaurant is very compact. There is a counter along the window side, 3 tables with a long bench along the wall and two stools on the aisle of each of those tables (so 3 cozy 4-tops), and a couple seats at the bar with very high stools. There is some outdoor seating as well. Luckily we were able to snag the 2 counter seats, and we could watch the staff at work. They were amazingly quick and efficient in the tiny kitchen, despite the amount of staff crammed in there. They obviously are very experienced working together, and were very professional. Because it was so busy when we arrived, we did have to wait a bit to get our food, but it certainly wasn't because anyone was slacking. They were in constant motion, but still polite. They even took the time to chat when they had a moment to do so. The prices were comparable to other sushi places we go to for this quality. Yes, it's small and can be crowded, but it's popularity is well deserved. My son wants to return to try their pho. From what we saw of the size of the servings, we will probably have to split a bowl!

This place is so FRESH and so GOOD! I'm a huge sushi lover and really picky with places. We started off with the fried pork rolls and i will crave those again and again. Super crunchy, super tasty and the dipping sauce, Wowza!! The rolls were fresh, nice size pieces and they have cilantro to add to any rolls. I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I come from amazing restaurants in Florida then moved to Denver and found only 2 places for Sushi that were a hit. Nowwww I moved to Durango and tried several and Rice 🐒 is my #1 . It is in a perfect location in downtown Durango, it's a small place inside but the smaller the restaurant the better and fresher and cleaner it is. It has outdoor pet friendly area with a roof, and wonderful to people watch. I can't wait to go back to my new favorite sushi place. Prices are a bit high but worth it.

We enjoyed our meal. We had the rainbow roll, crispy tuna and chicken teriyaki bowl. The bowl was great. And the rolls were very good as well. 4 stars because the rolls weren't the best I have had.

We visited Rice Monkey during a recent trip through Durango and really enjoyed it. The restaurant was busy, which is always a good sign, but the staff were super friendly and attentive. The sushi was fresh and delicious — definitely one of the highlights of our visit! Highly recommend stopping in if you’re in town.

This place was delicious! We especially loved the beef pho. One thing to be aware of is that it is a very small restaurant with limited seating.

Hands down the best breakfast in the Four Corners region. And yeah, we've tried 'em all. With fresh ingredients cooked by a crew that knows what they're doing and a friendly, helpful staff, College Cafe is ALWAYS a good choice. If you're hungry, check out the Bomb Burrito; the chorizo is to die for, and if you like Eggs Benedict, you won't find a better hollandaise within an 8-hour drive. And locally roasted coffee for the win! The new Downtown Durango digs are bright, cozy, and clean. Get on the waitlist when it's busy, it's worth it😎

Paid parking only...NO FREE PARKING Pepsi products ICK. Great server, quaint restaurant. One egg bacon cheese on an English muffin was 11.99..a bit much when you can get the same at a diner down the road for $8...spouse really liked the coconut curry scramble.

We enjoyed breakfast here one morning of our stay and really liked the place. It's small and the staff is busy and friendly. I had the Puebloan Benedict and she had the classic breakfast. Both were excellent and came with a good portion of home fries. Great place to enjoy a breakfast made to order.

Walked here from The DoubleTree for an early breakfast in the cool August morning air. Walked in, saw only 2 other customers at 6:45 AM. Great service: Friendly hosts, who also double as great wait staff: Frequent checks at the table, always with a coffee carafe in hand for a warmer. Ordered the chorizo scrambler (made with nearby Sunnyside chorizo), which is topped with melted cheddar cheese and green chile. I opted for no sour cream, which is also standard, per the menu. Sided with home fries and flat-top warmedflour tortillas, which are fluffy-ish, not thin. You guys, this breakfast is pure Southwest magic. We loved seeing the attention a patron's dog outside received as more, and more and more people were waiting for a table. Get here early! You will not be disappointed.

A short walk from the Strater Hotel. Delightfully clean with friendly staff. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options! I especially enjoyed the real, not frozen, home fries. This breakfast is a great way to load up for a day of walking and exploring. We didn't have any trouble finding a parking space and used an app to pay. Happy to support local food and the city.

Apparently one needs to make a reservation for breakfast if you don't want to wait around (a first for us). No line apparently, just local folks who must know the drill getting seated ahead of you. But food was good.

One of our local go to breakfast spots. Always a good meal, always happy servers. Small, and if you have to wait a bit, it’s worth it!

Delicious bagel sandwiches. Gotta add on the "smear," which is like a cream cheese mixture - I got the garlic & herb. You can order from a selection of sandwiches or build your own bagel - I got egg, cheese, & Canadian bacon 😋 on an everything bagel. I will definitely be coming back to try their lunch sandwiches! New favorite sandwich place in Durango? We shall see!

Stopped in for breakfast at Durango Bagel before catching the train to Silverton. Unfortunately, I found the bagel and sandwiches to be overpriced and not particularly impressive in quality. It was the only spot open at the time and conveniently close to the station, which is why I chose it. Just being honest — not terrible, but definitely not worth the price in my opinion.

Cute little eatery with indoor and covered, outdoor seating.  We had egg and cheese breakfast bagels and coffees.  Quality of ingredients and the atmosphere were both really good.  Thumbs up! It was a little confusing regarding getting your food when it was ready.  That was the only negative for me.  We were outside next to the service window, and I guess they only call out orders inside when they're ready.

Descent bagel place. But the most expensive bagel I have ever had. Nothing fancy. How can these prices be 30% more than Park City? Pearl Street Bagels in Jackson WY also way better and about half the price. Would not come back.

Obsessed with this place and have been for years. It can get slammed with train traffic so be prepared for a bit of a wait at times but it’s worth it. Even when they’re super busy the employees are always kind and happy! Bagels are fantastic, as are the breakfast sandwiches. Bonus: sometimes the owners dogs are out front and I love saying hello to them!

My husband and I were refused entry because of our service dog. Both of us live with mobility and hearing disabilities that impact our daily life. Even after explaining that our dog is a trained service animal, the owner still denied us service. Instead of respecting our rights, he tried to call our dog over to him while his own dogs sat by the entrance. This was discriminatory, humiliating, and a clear violation of the ADA. No one with a disability should be treated this way.

Great little place and conveniently located next to the train station and downtown. Service is very friendly and helpful. Best bagel breakfast sandwiches around and very good coffee/espresso. We try to visit at least a couple times while in town.

Having enjoyed Bread’s products many times over the years , including their sandwiches, we did not learn until today that they make them the day before they’re sold. So, when anyone buys a sandwich, thinking they’re fresh, they’re actually a day old but they’re charged full price. It’s dishonest of Bread to not inform their customers of this and when I called them on this their response was “ that’s just the way we do it “. 👎🏻 to Bread’s lack of honesty.

I have to say I was really disappointed in the vegan sweet potato sandwich I picked up today. It had one very thin slice of what what seemed to be uncooked sweet potato - it was very crunchy - and a few pieces of dark greens of some kind and a few red onion slices. Normally I I'm very happy to go to Bread, and do so often for coffee and bread!

Everything about this coffee shops is absolutely amazing. From the fantastic decor to the best baked good in town. The staff here are always as friendly as can be, there is definitely a lot of options your first time so ask about stuff you'll find a new favorite I'm sure of it!

It's a great bakery but this location is not set up for eating inside. It does have some very casual spots to sit outside. Worth noting that earlier is always better... the popular things run out pre-noon and closed by 2 last time I checked.

I don’t know what happened to Bread the pastries used be so good. It seems they lost the original recipes. The blueberry danish was my favorite but it now tastes horrible and the dough has totally changed to what tastes and feels like a biscuit.

The Sow Your Oats cookie is so good. They will slice your loaf of choice for you. The sandwiches, Coffee, cookies, pastries, pretty much everything here is very good. Top it off with extremely pleasant employees and you have yourself an experience that's hard not to repeat daily.

Great service, solid beer selection and the food was delicious. We had the dinner special of the day, which happened to be prime rib, and flat iron steak and crab cake. Would definitely recommend.

This place has great food and amazing service! The bartender shook my hand to introduce himself and took care of everything from there. The shrimp and grits were amazing and are plates had no crumbs to spare. Great atmosphere.

Clean friendly place. I only had clam chowder but it was great. Employees and the owner were very nice. Fast service and very attentive staff.

Quality, fresh food in a relaxed and warm setting. We were served by Buzz, who was a pleasure throughout and very professional. We were given the specials on arrival and despite our initial worries, didn't feel out-of-place in winter sports attire (after a long day of snowboarding). Food was excellent, and pretty reasonably priced, as was the wine. The general feel of the place is very relaxed, and the tropical aquariums are a nice touch. Recommended!

I was really hoping I'd have good thing's to say about my experience here, but it just wasn't that amazing. Ordered the Prime Rib, dry, very dry and over cooked. Salad Bar was okay, blue cheese dressing really needs more flavor for being so loaded with large blue cheese chunks, I figured it was going to taste awesome, that was not the case. Service was ok, very attentive! My mixed drink was the best part of the meal 🍹

To be fair, I will write the positive first. The atmosphere is very pleasant and I would have thought to have received a better quality of food than we did. From our entry into the restaurant to our exit the wait staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. Shane, was our server and apologized profusely for what is to follow. My wife ordered the lobster tail which came out over done and my steak was bland to say the least. In all the places like this one I have visited throughout the States, I have never believed I would need steak sauce to be able to enjoy the steak That is the reason for my 3 Star rating

Yummy food. I had only had their grab & go breakfast burritos before, & was pleasantly surprised at how good their other food was too. I got the eggs Benedict with a side of fruit & a dangerously delicious caramel mocha latte with whipped cream on top. 😋 It literally tasted like liquid turtle cake. I left feeling extremely satisfied. 🙂 The grab & go burritos are a good option if you're in a hurry; they are pretty large & will fill you up well.

This place is pretty amazing. The menu is great, and the donuts are superb. You can grab and go with your food, or sit and eat. The food was good. The sausage is not a generic sausage. It tastes homemade, which was a nice surprise. We really enjoyed our meal. And again, the donuts were great! The best breakfast we had on our stay in Durango.

The omelet was tasty (Chicago? Denver?). The pastries seem pricey at first, but one powdered raspberry-filled could serve 2 people. Service was attentive and polite.

We spent $40 on 3 burritos and 2 donuts, and the burritos were completely soggy and the 2 donuts we ordered, were jelly donuts, And the person at the register stacked the 2 donuts on top of each other.So they jelly got everywhere. We realize the burritos were pre-made, so they'd probably been sitting there for 3 hours, which was on us and maybe just a small box for jelly Donuts, because the jelly is protruding over the top which is fine.They looked delicious but then maybe stacking them on top of each other in a bag.It seems like there could be a better way to package them? Not bad, I thought the grab-and-go burrito I picked up was pretty decent. Quick and easy at least. But like, how are you out of bagels within 15 minutes of opening?? Were none made?

Awful. Came here a year ago and we were seated but never had our order taken. So after waiting for over 30 minutes we left. Decided to try this place again. We were sat and our order was taken. But…the waitress forgot our food. We waiting an hour, asked about our food before she realized our order never made it to the kitchen. We didn’t get refills. Once the food did come out, the plates were barely half filled with food. It was cold. Frozen packaged food. NOT WORTH IT. Gas station food would have been better.

Another local business impossibly too expensive to support. I've been buying a slice of their mousse once a week as a little treat for as long as they've been selling it. I understand inflation, I get it... but today was the last straw. Not only does one slice now cost $10+tax, but they ALSO reduced the size that comes in the container by easily %25. Won't be purchasing anything else from them anymore.

I was at the local farmers market where this company was selling baking items. My mother in law was asking about what was in a muffin. The gentleman kept ignoring her. And when she repeated her response multiple times. The gentleman responded in a very rude and snarky way. Saying “i know i know”. Then kept trying to get us to buy a scone. We were the only customer being served by him so not sure why he was ignoring her. When we were asking about the muffin. Will no longer be supporting this business with rude customer service.

Perfect sticky buns, but pastry dough for croissants was a bit thick and the filling was lacking. Overall tasted great still!!

The raspberry lemon cake was awful, icing thick with lard, cake heavy and dry, likely at least a day old if not three days old. Also bought the sour dough bread which was very good.

Was expecting a sit down cafe, however this is a self serve kiosk at a grocery store. Imagine pretty small portions wrapped prettily for a decent price. Looks good, but not what we were hoping for.

Inside Nature's Oasis. Very limited selection of pastries: no doughnuts, no danishes, no brownies, no eclairs. Cakes in several sizes, tasty loaf of bread with nicely developed gluten and yeasty smell $6.

The appropriately named Smiley Cafe will bring a smile to your face. The atmosphere is welcoming and perfect for studying, work, and chats with friends. I had the most delicious Chai Boba! I also had a delightful connection with the cafe staff and the cafe owner, Grant. You can tell the business is run by more than caffeine and profit, there is a kindness and thoughtfulness in every pour and every smile.

If I lived in Durango, way too much of my money would go to this establishment. Tons of options for coffee and food and baked goods, and lots of gluten free options. Cute cafe located inside of a school. Lots of seating options and very welcoming. A must try for coffee in the area!

The Smiley Café is always a great place to relax and unwind, meet friends, work remotely, or just have a nice cup of ancho chili mocha coffee or homemade chai. I am cozy here this morning, sipping this coffee, enjoying the art, the music, and the peaceful vibe it always emits.

SUPER cool location, best part. great lighting, calm music with comfy furniture and open isolated spaces upstairs. the lady who took our order, was not very friendly.. not welcoming - first impressions matter! the menu was very diverse with drinks and flavors, boba options were super cool but didn’t try. I got a Carmel latte, super good espresso quality but I feel like it’s definitely missing something. my sister got a regular latte and as you can see, our lattes looks VERY different and mine was much more creamy. we would not recommend regular latte, it was made much differently. we got broccoli cheese soup, it was very good the texture was interesting. although didn’t fill the cup :/ then a tomato soup, it was much sweeter than salty or basil tasting. I didn’t like it much personally but filled cup!:) other worker took dishes for us kindly. Overall super a unique place and would return.

The café is located inside an old junior high school building that has been converted into comfortable relaxing coves, the Cafe, a whole section of local artists' studios/wares to browse, and small business offices. Love it! The Smiley Cafe has a limited, but tasty, menu for breakfast and lunch, specialty coffees, a good tea selection, smoothies, and bottled drinks. Highly recommend a unique place to chill.

Rachel is very talented, the wedding cake we order from her was absolutely fantastic! The beautiful fresh flowers used to decorate the cake was exactly what we were looking for! The 8 and 10 inch tiered cake was vanilla buttercream with chocolate ganache filling, Everyone was raving about how delicious it was! I would highly recommend her for all your baking needs! Seriously some of the best baked goodies made by the sweetest people. The blue corn meal pie is my favorite and about anything they make with chocolate in it.

It’s been about six months since I ordered a cake from here. I got it for my husband’s birthday weekend trip in Durango. My husband and I are still talking about how delicious this cake was and wishing we could order another one for my birthday! These cakes are a must if you’re in Durango celebrating anything special!

We purchased our wedding cake from Rachel and Odd Bird Baking Co and thoroughly enjoyed both its look and its flavor. Fantastic value and it was a beautiful end piece to a wonderful day! Thank you very much Odd Bird for making our day so special!

Superhumans are real... and living among us. Odd Bird Baking has the MOST delicious, divine, and utterly spectacular morsels this earth has to offer. This bakers superpowers extend into her food, allowing us mortals to experience a brief moment of pure bliss. Lavender blue corn meal scone? DEVOURED. Persian love cake? GULP. I cannot recommend enough. From coffeeshop treats to perfectly delicious cakes, Odd Bird has you covered. 10 stars.

Oh my gosh! I ordered a cake for my sisters bridal shower and this cake was to die for! I regret not getting a bigger one! The cake was so delicious you want to savor every bite but it’s hard because this magical cake just melts in your mouth. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Amazing food and coffee. Best pesto I've ever had in my life! Bread and bagels are incredible of course. Love the atmosphere, it's a great place to work or hang out.

Cutest bakery/cafe I’ve been to in a long time. They make their own bread and pastries. The banana chocolate chip muffin is amazing. Their sweet iced chai is even better. I tried the ham melt and it’s heavenly especially since it’s melted on their own bread.

My Carmel Latte was delicious. I also ordered avocado toast, the toast was too darkly toasted/burned under avocado and therefore also too dry. I was also disappointed with how little avocado there was. I would have had it remade, but I was there for a business meeting, and we were busy. I would definitely try eating here again, the service is friendly and helpful. And the coffee drinks are tasty!

This shop has a “locals favorite” vibe to it, which I love! The coffee is great, service is friendly and there’s a lot of seating and WiFi if you’re looking to get some work done. Will definitely come back to this cozy shop

We LOVE this place ! Husband and I came to Durango for a vacation and went here almost every day. Their Ham and Cheese croissants were to die for ! And their coffee was great. Highly recommend going here for breakfast!

Love this sort of hidden spot. Not on Main Street, but just up a half a block. Don't miss it. Great bread, sandwiches, both lunch and breakfast. Tasty coffees and teas.

Love the concept and the food is solid. But, sad about the sign that admonished against excess landfill waste by discouraging using unnecessary coffee lids (good thing) but provides plastic cutlery. Some of it looks like it might be recyclable/recycled, but that is still really bad. Feels like a bit of self congratulatory finger-wagging when they won’t go the distance.

One of my favs! Always have a good selection of flavors, I always go for the fruit ones, the strawberry lemonade is the best! Tons of toppings to choose, love the fresh fruit and little gummy bears! The best part though, is the staff and owners, always friendly and welcoming !

Few things are better than their salted caramel with heath bar topping, simply divine! The staff is always helpful and go above and beyond to help with various diet needs and limitations. It is super clean and such a great location on historic Main Street! A must stop!

I brought my wife and two kids in because it was a welcoming shop that wasn't gonna make my family feel cast out because we have medical conditions and I am not putting masks on my children.....that's child abuse. We were hungry and LOVE their frozen yogurt. My kids were soooo happy to be able to eat and not be looked at like they were aliens...thank you guys for using your brains and being an awesome company. We stand with you guys and our police!

I took my kids several times and got side eyes by the staff each time, frustrated because my kids would spill some small amount of toppings. Not warm or friendly any of those times. Customer service means making your customers feel welcome, not making them feel like they are a burden! Too expensive for a such a lacking experience. I spent $40 for 4 yogurts that were gone in 10 minutes, we paid to spill a few nuts and cookie crumbs AND not get frowned at for it. Head across the corner to Coldstone. Friendly and yummy!

A wonderful wine shop filled with quality wines of all sorts from the best of Burgundy to amazing and affordable everyday wines. The shop is on the smaller side so I don't feel overwhelmed by an incomprehensible selection, and since they just bring in the best-of-the-best I always leave feeling confident with the bottle (or, 3!) in my hand. The selection and quality of wines is wonderful, but the reason this shop stands out above the rest is the owner and his knowledgeable staff! They are extremely personable and enjoy helping you find a wine you'll love. I leave each visit knowing a little more about the world of wine than I did when I walked in. This is a real neighborhood wine shop filled with people who love wine and are eager to share that love with you!

If I could give them 10 stars I would. I called from out of state to have some Champagne delivered to our relatives visiting Durango! Not only was Alan extremely knowledgeable about his inventory of champagnes, he was patient in explaining nuances that I didn't understand and gave me the skinny on all of my options! I am not sure if this gentleman is the owner but I can tell you there will be many successes in his life - he knows how to make you feel like you're the most important customer and definitely goes the extra mile!! My only hope is that I will be able to buy wine from him in person! Thank you so much!!!!

This is my go-to store for gifts, such as bourbon, and wine recommendations for myself. A special place in Durango.

I wish I had a wine shop just like this in the mountain town where I live. Put a Cork In It will always be a stop when headed through Durango. They have a great selection of value wines that are not the same labels you see over and over again in most stores. Plus, some wonderful $30+ bottles if you want to treat yourself!

On the recommendation of Ryan who manages the superb wine program at Durango's Ore House restaurant, we stopped in this wine emporium before heading off to Santa Fe. Allan, 1/2 of the duo running this shop, is passionate and knowledgeable about wine. He understood my "funky," barnyard palate and patiently explained his recommendations. We utterly enjoyed this experience, unavailable to anyone living in the controlling theocracy of Utah. The more years I live in the Beehive state, the more the oppression upsets me. We purchased too much wine, but I cannot wait to taste the interesting bottles Alan (I used two spellings of the name just in case - Allen?) suggested. Put A Cork In It, is just another "feather in the cap" for the city of Durango. (Put A Cork In It/Feather in the Cap - play on words- get it?)

Alan has a great palate for excellent wines at a reasonable price. French, Italian, and Spanish wines are all very well represented. I am a regular.

I walked in and there was not any staff in sight. After a minute a young man walked up from the back, but he did not greet me.it was extremely awkward, so I decided to say hi, but he did not respond. Another employee approached from the back, she was slightly more friendly. The unfriendly male worker made my ice cream, which he put absolutely zero effort into. It was still good, but none of my toppings were mixed into the ice cream at all. Worst experience I’ve had at a cold stone. Sounds like it seems to be an ongoing issue based on other reviews

This is my GO TO sweet treat, so I’m here often. There’s a new girl working and no hate to her, I know new jobs are stressful, but my TEN dollar small signature ice cream had almost no toppings in there. I’d have gone to walmart if I wanted plain ice cream y’all!! (And it’d be way cheaper) Keep in mind, a whole pint at Cold Stone is 12 bucks, y’all can fill up the small a bit more- ya know?

Hopefully management sees this and steps in to improve things. We went to Coldstone on Labor Day to celebrate our son doing a great job pedaling his bike. Unfortunately, the service was pretty disappointing. All three girls working helped us and none were even remotely friendly. The first just stared blankly at us, with this apathetic attitude, waiting for us to order. No greeting, no smile. The second just went to work on one of our ice creams. The third then came along and sharply and a bit loudly asked something like, “what would you like?” That conveyed that she was trying hustle us along. We were not taking an unreasonable amount of time, especially with a 5 year old in tow; and there were no other customers behind us. Then the apathetic one again just stared at us from behind the register, literally no words, and definitely no smile. Because they rang the order up wrong, it wasn’t obvious to me that they were ready to close us out. She explained but also corrected the kids cup after I inquired about it. I left the minimum tip because while I do appreciate that this is a near minimum wage job, their opportunity is to earn a tip, not to be entitled to one. The mood in the room got worse when they realized, but these three young ladies hopefully learn that they can earn more tips with a friendlier attitude.

Whole team of kids who were EXTREMELY rude, closed before 9, didn’t lock the door and instead said “we just closed” and when I said “google says 9:30”, I got a super snarky “well it’s wrong”. When I walked out, it said open until 9, and was 8:55. One of the girls sprinted to her car and squeeled out of the lot before we even walked off the stoop. 9 means shop closes at 9, it doesn’t mean you leave at 9, grow up.

I'm very impressed with the owner of this locally-owned ice cream store. I had a not-great experience that I reported on the website. I was contacted in a timely manner by the business owner, and I feel confident that our future visits will be as great as they usually are. A lot of businesses in Durango only care about tourist business, but this is one that wants to keep locals coming back.

Wanted to get my kids ice cream after dinner, we walked in and they were making their selections a girl came out and rudely told us they were closed. I asked her why the door was still open? She simply said she “forgot to close it” then my kids were disappointed and we left, then this is the worse part! As we went around the block to go find another option 2 white people were seen leaving the store with their selections… ouch Durango! this place was racist as it’s finest just because my kids and I are brown she did NOT want to serve us… do better and hire better Cold Stone!

We went in and it was SLAMMED- a large family in front of us, a big group of teens behind us- and only one young woman working the whole store! However, she was awesome!! The whole time from taking orders to preparing ice cream to running the register she remained friendly, energetic and professional. I feel sorry for her that management didn't schedule more people to help the poor thing out but she was a champ and deserves serious recognition! She rocked!

I walked in for a treat and was immediately engaged by two very friendly folks that helped me make my selection. We were chatting and they let me know that this particular store is the original Rocky Mountain Chocolate store and that all their chocolates are made right there in Durango! So friendly and nice! Oh and the chocolate is of course amazing as always

The chocolate here is very good. The factory is almost near here which is the origin as well. The gave in some free chocolates to try as well. They mentioned Seaform is their unique one from the shop.

Rocky mountain never disappoints, every time I go I order the same thing, an apple pie apple. Delicious! I also grabbed some doggie treats and my pup approved. So if you're looking for a yummy treat stop by, oh it doesn't hurt that the staff was really friendly!

Update: The location made it right with properly made carmel apples. We are grateful to find a business that values quality these days. Purchased two Carmel apples. The Carmel could no have been any more thin. Terrible waste of money at this location. I’ve had them from other locations and they were very good.

The shop looked really nice and I was looking forward to trying some chocolates. I bought a box of assorted chocolates which was 40 dollars, which was fine until I got home and there were only 16 pieces of chocolate in the box. It was supposed to be an assortment of semi sweet truffles, cupcakes truffles, lemon filled, and espresso truffles. The only one that tasted different was the lemon filled ones. It was fun to try but I don't think I'll be back.

Ordered 2 kid scoops and was pretty disappointed with one today, we’ve always came to this store since I was little now I bring my kids. But really This is a kids scoop on the left when I ordered 2 the right is a kids scoop, Must be just the new kids working.. for almost $9 disappointing.

I just went to get some ice cream for my family. My kids walked in first then two other costumers walked in. I walked in after they other costumers walked in and they got served first then my children that were there when it was empty. Then it was my turned to order i got 3 milk shakes and 3 ice creams. Baskin Robbins started getting so packed she got frustrated when i asked for the 3 milk shake then the girl walked to the cashier and i walked there and told her i wanted another ice cream. She got angry and when she would open the ice cream door to the cooler she would slam the door. It was the worst costumer service I’ve gotten and i come ones or twice a week. Honestly I didn’t say nothing to her to not cause a show and back up the people. I think if your not going to handle busy hour maybe she shouldn’t work during that time or even be left alone when is busy hour.

The people who work here are so nice and enjoy giving samples. They want you to enjoy your ice cream. I also like the unique seasonal flavors.

The kids working 2/8/25 closed the store early when the hours state the establishment is open until 10 on Saturdays. While there were still customers being served. Very unprofessional.

My daughter and I love coming here. Thestaff is super nice and very patient when it came to my daughter deciding what she wanted. And as always, their ice cream is super delicious and their ice cream cakes are beautiful and delicious also.
