The Aspen Art Museum is a contemporary art venue that hosts international shows and features works by local artists. One of its recent exhibitions was an 18-month display by artist and poet Precious Okoyomon, which included an elysian garden on the rooftop. The outdoor installation featured various elements such as a soundscape, animate sculpture with organic materials, and edible and invasive plants.
During a ski trip to Aspen, I enjoyed my visit to the museum. I'm not sure why this museum has received so many low reviews, as I found the current exhibitions to be both interesting and informative. The café on the top floor also offered a decent variety of food and drink options.
Ray M — Google review
Nice and clean. Free admission. The exhibits are very small and the second floor is closed. The cafe and terrace are nice in the summer. It seems like the cafe is the destination, not the museum. Overall with such a limited exhibit, it was not impressive. I’ll try again another time when the second floor is open.
M B — Google review
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at the Aspen Art Museum was surprisingly unpleasant. The front desk staff came across as openly unhappy to be there — curt, unwelcoming, and giving off the strong impression they’d rather be anywhere else. It set a sour tone before I even stepped into the exhibits. For a place meant to inspire creativity and curiosity, the lack of basic hospitality was disappointing.
Nick O — Google review
Cafe on the top is fantastic. 2 floors of the museum devoted to an artist who just reprints other people's work... not so thrilling. Really enjoyed the basement sensory exhibits though.
Ben J — Google review
The best and most interesting is the building itself, glass, concrete and wooden architecture, don't miss the terrace for a good look at the town and mountains or if you want to have some basic food and drinks. The art itself is a random collection of weird stuff, good for visiting before going to the airport if you have some extra time. Street parking.
J. B — Google review
The building itself is an impressive piece of architecture featuring an earthy woven exterior with a interior/exterior staircase that that reaches the rooftop. Entry and coat check are free and there’s a nice cafe on the roof with a great view of the slopes.
Kevin F — Google review
The Art Meuseum is a must visit spot in Aspen. It is free to visit and has some very interesting architecture. The view from the rooftop is nice and you can also grab a bite to eat in the Cafe. The exhibit was Andy Warhol originals which was cool to see those in person. I only deducted a star because I am not a major fan of this type of art and this was the only exhibit at a time. But if you are in the area then this is worth a visit. ( I do not own any rights to the artwork but we did ask permission to photograph, these works can easily be found online, enjoy!)
Matthew M — Google review
Interesting to wander. Variety of exhibits including a plant/garden exhibit on the top floor. The exterior copper lattice facade was beautiful. Free admission. The receptionist was very welcoming though coming in with 4 kids from age 9 to 13 we had the security guy follow us around.

Cafe
Restaurant
Spring Cafe is a sunny, white-walled restaurant that offers organic breakfast and lunch options, as well as juices, smoothies, and coffee. The menu features entirely plant-based dishes like avocado toast and the Hail to Kale Omelet. The cafe uses 100% organic ingredients in its kitchen and offers freshly pressed juices, pastries made from non-toxic materials, and fun picks like the Chickpea Tuna Pita.
Spring Café is a gem in the heart of Aspen for anyone looking for fresh, wholesome food. With a huge vegetarian and vegan menu, it’s hands down one of the best spots in town for plant-based options. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and the atmosphere is clean, bright, and welcoming. Whether you’re fully vegan or just looking for a healthy meal, this place delivers. A must-visit if you’re in Aspen!
Lauren R — Google review
This is a good place for vegans and vegetarians in terms of the menu. I love the food - it is fresh, organic, and healthy. Very expensive as well (like everything in Aspen). I’m giving this restaurant 3 stars because the acoustics are so amazingly bad!!! It’s the loudest place you can imagine if you eat inside - even with the big glass doors wide open. You’ll have to yell during a conversation. I got a headache eating my lunch. Next time I’m ordering to go. Sit outside amongst the beautiful flower arrangements if there is availability. The staff does not really care about providing good service, the priority is to keep the orders over the counter coming without any involvement with the customer. It is a fast paced eatery. Something like a Wendy’s for vegetarians but super pricey :)
Mariya M — Google review
This place is awesome! I think this is my first restaurant review ever - just had to rave somewhere. Best tempeh I have ever had - by far. Good portions, healthy food, everyone there is super satisfied. I can’t believe this was rated 3.8 stars. This is a 5-star for sure. Coming back tomorrow.
Peter W — Google review
Best place in aspen for vegan plant based healthy foods. On this trip I got the side of tempeh added to my salad. It was delicious. I have frequented this restaurant a number of times. They are consistently good. The waiting time for takeout is not long either. And you can call ahead/order online. They also serve wine and beer. Ideal spot for lunch. Smoothies. Wraps. Salads. Juices. Dairy free options. Also morning they work like a coffee shop with Coffee, burritos and Pastries. Lots of gluten free options very GF friendly. I love the Caesar dressing. Best place for healthy lunch. A bit pricey - but hey it’s Aspen! Friendly and efficient staff.
Ben B — Google review
Delicious spot to grab a nice lunch. Great selection of vegan items with a few non vegan (egg) things to choose from. The Reuben was fantastic. The Southwest salad met expectations, but honestly, it’s just a salad. A good few deserts to pick from as well. Full coffee and tea bar as well.
Marek K — Google review
Great place to grab a quick bite. Came here as part of a walking tour. Food was fresh and clean, open patio seating. Chai Latte was spicy and delicious! Himalayan Pink Salt available.
Vonnie — Google review
I came in here with my wife for lunch and it was a solid choice. I had a burrito, which was definitely tasty and very filling with the potatoes and eggs in it. The showstoppers were the smoothies. Definitely worth a stop, but only drawback was the price was a bit steep.

Nice coffee shop in Aspen. Decided to get a quick drink and snack real quick. It was great. Staff friendly and quick, plenty of seating, and great food and drinks. The pumpkin bread I got was delicious. Overall, great place to stop for a quick drink or bite.

Bakery
Louis Swiss Bakery is a must-visit spot in Aspen for those with a sweet tooth. The bakery offers an array of delectable treats, including oversize chocolate chip cookies, lemon bars, rice brownies, assorted mini pies, almond horns, and coconut macaroons. Additionally, patrons can indulge in savory options like ham and cheese croissants and spinach and feta-filled croissants. Visitors are advised to arrive early as the popular pastries tend to sell out quickly.
I just returned from Nice and have been on a mission to find a Pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant) that is even a margin as fluffy as the bakeries there. The chocolate croissant from this spot delivered! I was impressed with the flaky layers — these are hard to achieve and many American bakeries don’t get it right. P.S. crumbs are part of the experience and signal a good croissant
Jillian C — Google review
As avid fans of MML restaurants, we were excited to try Louis Swiss Bakery while in Aspen. With some time before our flight, we dropped off our luggage and took a stroll over. First, I must commend the pastries this shop delivers to Swedish Hill; they are absolutely perfect. However, this review is focused solely on our lunch experience at Louis Swiss Bakery. I ordered the Turkey Salami sandwich, while my wife opted for a turkey sandwich. Unfortunately, both were quite bland and did not leave a good impression. It was disappointing, especially considering our high expectations. While I'm confident that Louis Swiss Bakery has some great offerings, our lunch didn't reflect that. I'm not sure if we'll return, and I definitely won’t be ordering another sandwich.
Steven J — Google review
Terribly understaffed in the morning. I didn't even order because I waited in line forever and no one was being served because the one person at the counter was spending all their time restocking everything. Woul d have been happy to try the place but since no one was being served I just left instead of wasting my time. There were plenty of other people working there but nobody at the counter at 6:30 in the morning. Plenty of people in line.
Michael F — Google review
A real bakery. Excellent fresh bread & pastries made on site!!! Good selection. Service is just OK. Not enough ppl at the order counter to help & the employee didn't listen to the order correctly, so we wound up with sweet croissants instead of plain. Feta/Spinach croissant was superb!
* M — Google review
I love coming here before I head up to ski Aspen or Snowmass. The quick grab burritos and bagels are delicious as well as their other pastries. If you need a quick bite before a long day of shredding the slopes, swing by this bakery!
Yuri V — Google review
Food is amazing!!! A bit over priced for the amount of food you get but they certainly serve an authentic cuban sandwich. The sauces are exquisite too.

Amazing spot! Best sourdough, best chocolate chip cookies and best service in town. Always so lovely coming in and seeing the kind faces :-)

Aspen Ski Co. Chefs have really run this place down. The flavors are not there any more. The breakfast burritos used to be much better. Please evenly distribute the fillings and stop over cooking the eggs on a flat top.

Paradise Bakery & Cafe is a casual chain that offers a variety of baked goods, soups, and sandwiches. Located conveniently between Wagner Park and the art museum, it attracts visitors throughout the year with popular activities. The bakery is also close to renowned designer stores and popular hotels in the area. It's known for its delicious muffins, cookies, coffee, and fresh-squeezed lemonade.
Worth the wait! We went for ice cream after dinner and saw a pretty long line coming out of the building. I'm glad we decided to wait. It was much faster than it looked, and the ice cream was fantastic! I had the Natural Pistachio and it was so good. Tons of crushed pistachio inside! They also made a great cappuccino. Very fast and efficient service!

Amazing flavours. The taste was rich. I liked the coffee truffle, chocolate, pistachio while. I didn’t like espresso and thr vanilla crush or similar. The staff was very helpful. Also before tasting first order and then do else you will miss to bill and have to stay in line. The cone waffle was good. They gave generous quantity in cups than in cones.

Highly recommend getting gelato at Paradise, if you’re in Aspen! My double scoop of alpine strawberry and lemon cookie was perfectly light and creamy! We also got the black diamond cookies & cream, which was great as well. Can’t wait to go back for another scoop!!

We were walking around the gondola area in Aspen and stumbled upon Paradise Ice Cream & Cafe — what a great find! The ice cream was absolutely delicious and refreshing. It was the perfect treat during our stroll. I just wish there were indoor seating available, especially since it was a sunny day and the outdoor seating was limited. Still, definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area!
Oqab A — Google review
Amazing service. Everybody is so friendly and they greet us right after we enter The shop. The bakes are amazing and the price is reasonable. If you come here, I really recommend you to come with your own cup so they will refill every drink for only$2 to $3 dollars and they have croissants that went to half price after 12.30. But on busy days all the sandwiches and croissants out before 11 am.
Monik A — Google review
So many delicious options. Outdoor seating only which is fine as long as weather is good. The latte was a tad rich but still decent. Bakery and gelato is good. They hand out samples of various things that are delicious. The line was efficient and fairly quick considering how many people were in it.

Delicious desserts & choices are plentiful. Ice creams, gelatos, sorbets, cookies & they even have non dairy sorbets available. They also serve coffees, expressos & some breakfast.

French restaurant
Restaurant
Cache Cache is an upscale bistro in downtown Aspen that has been a favorite among diners for almost 40 years. The restaurant offers a blend of classical French cuisine with American influences, sourcing ingredients from local farmers. Dishes like wild Ecuadorian shrimp with local baby bok choy and Dijon- and herb-crusted Colorado rack of lamb showcase the chef's unpretentious yet heartfelt approach to cooking. The restaurant also boasts an extensive wine list, adding to its appeal.
Nice place for an upscale dinner! Lamb chops are a must there! Had one of the best foie gras terrine ever tried as well as escargot and beef tartare! Everything accompanied by a great wine selection! Had the Habemus Papam Chateauneuf du Pape and was excellent!
Alessandro C — Google review
Cache cache is well known in Aspen as a high end French restaurant. The food did not disappoint. Truly delicious well prepared meals and beautifully presented. The salmon and trout dishes we're the best we've eaten as was the Osso Buco. While the acoustics prove to be a bit challenging, it was overall a wonderful experience. The staff was quite attentive, although they were very busy at our 8:00 p.m. dining time so it was a tad slow. A solid five stars for the food and wine selections available in this fine dining stand out in Aspen.
Lythia R — Google review
Restaurant accommodated my friends very specific allergies, service was very good, sommelier was comprehensive. Wine list good. Dinner for 3 ppl cost $1000USD + tip.
F L — Google review
Our server had a noticeable lack of care for our table. We had to ask for water refills, flag down our server each time we wanted to place an order, entrees arrived well before our drinks did. It felt as though our server recognized the poor efforts for our table and was too embarrassed to apologize/correct their level of attentiveness. I paid for an exceptional dining experience but instead received disorganized and unsatisfactory chaos.
Anna D — Google review
Loved Cache Cache ❤️. First time in Aspen and we ate here twice during our 4 day visit. Delicious and flavorful pork chop with homemade pasta. Yum! French onion soup was superb! We couldn’t leave Aspen without another bowl and cocktails. We arrived one hour before they opened. They welcomed us in with open arms, recognizing us from our first visit. We were able to drink and eat early to squeeze it in during our last night with great service and sone laughs with the bartender.

The best gnocchi I’ve ever had with lamb and one of the best atmospheres for fine dining in the area. Would definitely go back when I visit again.
Maddy S — Google review
This restaurant is amazing! Jodi makes you feel very welcome! The service and food are outstanding! The wine has amazing options to pair with the food! Can’t wait to go back
Lusely G — Google review
We love Cache Cache! I have been in here twice over the past week to take advantage of the local's special at the bar. $10 for a glass of rose and $25 per meal is a seriously awesome deal in September for locals, and we appreciate that! The bartenders are always super friendly, the ambience is top notch, and the food is extremely delicious. We love their service and will be back again and again from Sunday-Wednesday while this special is going on this month! Definitely one of my favorite spots in Aspen for dinner. We had spaghetti & lamb meatballs and the meal was so filling + pork tacos were so yummy!

Italian restaurant
Mezzaluna is a popular dining spot in Aspen, Colorado, offering a relaxed yet upscale atmosphere and serving contemporary Italian cuisine. The restaurant is known for its wood-fired pizzas, fresh pastas, and seasonal dishes. With floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor patio providing breathtaking mountain views, it's an ideal location for casual dining or apres-ski meals.
The service was perfect peak (with Will taking care of the table). I have tried chicken risotto (daily special), giant calamari, penne with beef (daily special), and bananabread pudding. The restaurant has really nice ambiance and I would love to be back.
Marta K — Google review
Food was average. Me being a pasta lover didn’t find the pasta tasty here. It was very bland and the garlic taste was not at all in the garlic shrimp spaghetti. Pizza was okay, our drinks were good and the fries were good only. Service was good too. Tables are very congested- felt like more tables were put on purpose to fit extra people but the capacity was not enough- waiters had to squeeze through every single time.
Maheen K — Google review
Rude and arrogant manager! I saw other poor reviews on Yelp, should have passed on it but they were the only ones that had an outdoor table available and we were hungry. It was a mistake. Better to find another restaurant in Aspen, plenty nicer choices
Tanvir A — Google review
Beautiful little place to grab something to eat in Aspen. Great indoor or outdoor seating options. The pizza was very good. The hostess was pretty laid-back and couldn’t tell if she really cared about her job or not. Server could’ve been a little more attentive. Had to ask more than once to get a refill on drinks. The bathroom is a building bathroom, not dedicated to the restaurant. Not the cleanest ever. Very public. But when you got to go……
Tom K — Google review
If you are looking for a restaurant that has good food but it's not ridiculously expensive - this is the place. Great appetizers, wood fired pizzas (gluten free too), pasta (gluten free available), fish, chicken and steak. It is a casual lively restaurant, favored by the locals. Cool place for lunch and apres ski as well. It's been in Aspen 30+ years and this says it all. We enjoyed the calamari, arugula salad, pasta, and trout. Very tasty. Lots of wines and cocktails to choose from.
Mariya M — Google review
We stopped for a quick bite to eat for lunch. I ordered a penne shrimp pasta for $24. Unfortunately it was very overpriced and the rock shrimp that came in the dish were so small I thought I was eating canned shrimp. We also ordered the eggplant appetizer when we first arrived, and it never came. We mentioned it to our waiter, to which he replied, “do you still want it.” Well of course we want it, we ordered it for a reason! They gave it to us on the house, but it came out cold which was a huge disappointment. Both the pasta and the service were less than mediocre.
Hayden H — Google review
Good tasty food. There are few vegetarian options as well. It’s in walkable distance to silver queen gondola. Eggplant appetizer was awesome to be specific. Food runners were quick and patient to listen our requirements.
Sandesh M — Google review
At the time it was a family gathering and I wasn’t too keen on eating anything unique, but once I looked at the menus my mind changed. Beautiful dishes that are a bit pricey but overall don’t let you down in the amount of flavor you receive. Atleast, that’s what I got from the Italian Job Fire-baked Pizza. The rest of my family either got the Trout or Pasta. Of which they rated it 7/10. Which is around the same rating I would give my pizza. Thats including my personal conditions, but minus the aforementioned conditions no doubt I rate the pizza there a solid 8/10. Cheap eating? This isn’t the place. But if you want quality with a side of wine? I’d recommend this place. The service was excellent and very hospitable. Other than the high amount of business deterring from the better vibes the employees made sure they could serve best as possible. Well, from my point of view.

I ordered a turkey sandwich with tomato, mozzarella and avocado straight off their menu for carry out. That’s not what I got. It was turkey on bread with a bite size square of cheese and a single piece of avocado on each half for $17.60 plus tax. I also asked if it was deli meat or fresh turkey - I was told fresh turkey but it was 100% deli meat.
Deborah B — Google review
Such a lovely experience. The food was incredible, and the owner was super kind! Highly recommend.
Betime B — Google review
I recently had the opportunity to dine at a French-run breakfast joint and was unfortunately disappointed by the quality of the food. For a meal totaling over $45, I was expecting a higher level of culinary excellence, but the burrito and omelette we ordered were mediocre at best. The burrito was small and dry, lacking in flavor and overall appeal. The omelette, on the other hand, was a complete disaster. The eggs were overcooked and had a texture reminiscent of rubber tires, and the smoked salmon and spinach were not incorporated well into the dish. For a restaurant that bills itself as a breakfast joint, I would expect a better execution of classic dishes like the omelette. On a positive note, the staff were wonderful and very helpful. The coffee was also quite good. Overall, while I appreciated the friendly service, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on the subpar food.
Ruben K — Google review
High price small portion subpar food with no service. Breakfast omelette was not cooked right. Chicken sausage tasted like cardboard. Toasts were dry and cold. $9 bullet proof coffee was weak and watery. We ordered sourdough but got white bread. We were charged more for the prices showed on the menu. When asked for a carafe of water, the server grabbed a leftover one from the next table to give to us. I was hoping for much better food in Aspen. We will not be back.
Heidi L — Google review
Places in Aspen generally leave me disappointed and amazed that people pay the prices for the lack of quality. In this case, I wasn't overly impressed, but I did like that they have nice outside seating, and they treated my Fur-Daughter well. She had non-dairy scrambled eggs and seemed to enjoy them. The baked goods decent, but I am kind of partial to Loius Swiss. Anyway, give it a try. Order something good for your fur baby too.
Ric R — Google review
Very very chaotic and confusing to order. Different menu outside than inside. Some menu items had prices, some didn’t. Employees yelling names, smoky, when asked for hot sauce was told to find a table that has one. Also the burrito was tasty but VERY small. The huevos rancheros plate was not good. The avocado didn’t seem fresh at all. Perhaps the chaos was due to it being new year?
Sebastian T — Google review
Pastry review: The GF Coffee Crumb cake was excellent. The ratio of streusel crumb topping was spot on. The cake had pockets of a cinnamon filling that had a well-balanced flavor. The soft cake allowed the filling to not feel overly rich. You can see a close up in my picture of the cake. The chocolate croissant, not pictured, was incredible. I am comparing the chocolate croissant to one of the top French bakeries in San Francisco that I visited last year (I'm originally from CA) and it holds its own as one of the most decadent chocolate croissants I have ever had. The chocolate pieces on top of the croissant are melted flawlessly into the croissant. The chocolate filling is spread evenly and has a decadent flavor with each bite. It was amazing. The worst part is that we live 4 hours from here.

Whether you're starting your day with the Avocado Hussle or grabbing a gourmet espresso and fresh baked pastries, Bear Den is the go-to spot for trendsetters looking for a chic dining experience.
A small, super cozy restaurant full of charm. Great food, excellent service, and a truly pleasant atmosphere. The decor is beautiful — elegant yet effortlessly chic. Highly recommended. I’d definitely come back. Enjoy!

Interesting tiny restaraunt in downtown Aspen! Really small on the inside and super mountain-y decorative. Outdoor tables were lovely with this great weather. Food was pretty good. Not many options for breakfast and the continental breakfast was $40 which is insane even for aspen. Latte was great and service was phenomenal. Bathroom is outside in a public building. Was satisfying but not worth the price.

I was served cappuccino in a to-go cup. Indicated that I was staying and it was switched to a 7-9 oz rocks glass. Please note pics with my cappaccino and the other is the unused cappacino mugs. Travelling the state with my brother who is in town on State Business. I guess since I had a backpack and sat at the bar I was considered a transient. Decided to order a club, tipped more than 25% anyway, total > $60. I was not asked how my food was until I was almost done. It was 2:00, end of lunch and I was the sole occupant at the bar. Wrote this review at the bar since the staff would not talk to me. Good luck!

We came to The Bear Den for an evening of apps and cocktails, and it did not disappoint. The Aperol spritz was perfectly balanced—bright, refreshing, and beautifully served. The sliders were just as impressive: juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a chic mountain feel that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. Service was spot-on—friendly, attentive, and perfectly timed. Between the drinks, the food, and the setting, The Bear Den is exactly the kind of place that keeps Aspen dining special
Marcus M — Google review
I’d say the food was good, but the service really wasn’t. If I had read the reviews mentioning poor service, I probably wouldn’t have come — but unfortunately, I didn’t, and ended up starting my day with a disappointing experience. Not only did we wait much longer than a table that arrived after us, but the server also seemed confused about the drink he was serving. And to top it off, after we had already paid — including a 28% tip for a brunch for four — he accidentally spilled soy sauce on my husband. I understand accidents happen, but his response was terrible. He just said 'sorry' twice and walked away. I asked for some wet tissues, but he only brought two dry napkins. Honestly, this level of service didn’t deserve any tip at all. It seems like the owner or manager doesn’t care about reviews, so I’m sharing this for future customers who don’t want to ruin their morning with this kind of service.

Look no further for literally the PERFECT brunch spot. It was charming both inside and the outside patio. The food was phenomenal! Everything my friends and I had was wonderful. From food, to cocktails, and coffee (including a dolce de leche affogato) it was delicious. 11/10 recommend
Olivia O — Google review
While the food was great & atmosphere was fun, this place need a reality check. $5 for the extra whip cream (less than a table spoon) and you have to pay for coffee refills.
Bruce — Google review
Had a great brunch here before hitting the road. Breakfast burrito was sizable and filling, got it with the chroizo which was not spicy even though they say it is a little. My wife got the salmon Benedict which was very fresh and had a generous portion of salmon and the hollandaise was house made and really good. The cozy cabin/house is adorable and has a great vibe overall. Note that it is small and tight, would be tough to bring any sizable group here, recommend reservations during the season. We got in on a Monday (Presidents’ Day) without one and it was full but didn’t seem to be a wait at any point.

French Pastry Cafe & More, located near the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport, offers a delightful selection of French pastries and treats. From madeleines to chocolate croissants and dessert tarts in flavors like caramel pecan and lemon meringue, there's something for every pastry lover. In addition to their delectable pastries, they also offer fresh breads such as olive focaccia and French baguettes perfect for sandwiches or pairing with dinner.
Delicious pastries, sandwiches, omelettes, and salads. My children love the quiche and mini donuts. The space inside is tiny, but there are a few tables outside too. They also serve wine and other beverages. Best place in the area to get pastries.

Delicious breakfast burrito ($12) and an eye-popping pastry case. Blueberry tart was tasty, piled high with blueberries. Cozy atmosphere inside, outdoor seating.

Excellent little bakery, with a large selection of baked goods as well as breakfasts and lunches. We came every morning for breakfast during our trip.

So Yummy pastries. Breakfast sandwich with butter croissant was so good. We came back for lunch. We met a local elderly couple John and Bunny at lunch and learned that the original owner was French. He owned this place for 15 years and then retired and train Freddy Spanish family all of his French’s recipes. Now we know why the pastries 🥮 we so great. 😀👍. The cashier Monica was so courteous and pleasant to talk to. Highly recommended for breakfast and luncheon. ❤️

I was surprised by the breakfast burrito. Very good. A nice selection of pastries. The chocolate crossiant was pretty meh. But everything else was good.

I don't know anything about french cuisine so I couldn't tell you if it's authentic french or not. But the food here is good. I've been here a few times.

I have only tried a Latte and a croissant, but they were good. Everything else looked great as well. Tiny little place to eat inside. Lots of pastries and mini quiches.
Ric R — Google review
The beignet was really good, the ham and Swiss croissant was absolutely amazing, but the macarons didn’t seem fresh and the raspberries on the raspberry tart were moldy (pictured below). Only ordered pastries so I can’t speak to the quality sit down menu.

Coffee shop
Felix Roasting Co. has made its debut outside of New York City, setting up shop in the iconic Hotel Jerome. This innovative coffee concept, founded by Matt Moinian and renowned designer Ken Fulk, aims to transform coffee culture with a unique flair. The Aspen location offers an array of signature hot and cold beverages alongside delightful bites, all crafted with house-made non-dairy milks and custom syrups that elevate each drink. As you step into Felix Roasting Co.
A Delightful Experience at Felix Roasting Co. in Aspen During my four-day stay in Aspen, visiting Felix Roasting Co. became a daily highlight, thanks to the incredible hospitality of Justine and her team. Justine was an absolute ray of sunshine—kind, attentive, and always going the extra mile to make me feel welcome. Whether I was ordering matcha, hot chocolate, pastries, or avocado toast, she ensured every detail was perfect, from the beautifully crafted drinks to checking in on my comfort. Her warm and thoughtful service, along with her ability to remember my name, made each visit feel personal and special. She greeted me with a smile and always made sure other guests were well taken care of. The entire team upheld the highest level of service, truly reflecting the first class service— which is expected from an Auberge property. Felix Roasting Co. is not just a café—it’s an experience. I can’t wait to return!
Khymmie C — Google review
We had the best breakfast & coffee at Felix. The space is beautifully designed - elegant yet cozy. We had coffee and a matcha latte with their homemade nut milk and it was amazing! The food selection is great and their ricotta toast is literally a work of art. We were a little hesitant to come at first due to the low google rating, however, it seems most of the bad reviews are due to the 15% gratuity automatically applied. Definitely agree that is annoying and the only downside to this cafe. We will definitely be back next time we’re in town!
Jennifer B — Google review
I would recommend you check out this coffee shop! They have some breakfast options, amazing coffee, the pastry was really good, try the cinnamon bun (honestly best cinnamon bun I've ever had)
Gurpreet S — Google review
Fancy Fancy. First time in Aspen and we need to kill some time in the morning so we popped in for a Chai and coffee and ended up trying breakfast. The Avo Toast is superb !!! Probably the most artisan toast I’ve ever had. Staff was friendly. Even the hotel bathroom was fancy.
Ashley C — Google review
Beautiful little cafe. The barista was so nice and recommended me the drink I got. They seem so caring and the vibe just made me smile. Pink velvet couches are a great accent.
European W — Google review
I love coffee and this place is very nice looking. I’m not one for critiquing the beans themselves because I understand the flavor profiles people like vary, but I ordered a cortado and wasn’t a huge fan. Texture was off and latte art was weak. Service was nothing spectacular but was not awful. Fairly unengaged is all. The place itself looks very clean and inviting. Very comfortable. I would try it again, but I’d probably order a latte or something more forgiving than a straight espresso or cortado.
Thomas P — Google review
Ordered a double espresso and didn’t like it at all. No crema. No distinct flavors of note. It was ready before I had even finished paying, how is that possible??? The baristas couldn’t provide any information about the coffee other than, “it’s a medium roast.” I asked where it’s from and they said, “all over the world.” Come on guys! You have one of the only shops with a real espresso machine! Please learn to use that to your advantage. My assumption is that they are using pre ground coffee to make their shots. Would not recommend.
Jason S — Google review
Food and drink were expensive and plain. Service felt like talking to an automated robot. For 15% included gratuity I would at least like to have a nice interaction. However very pretty place, maybe check it out and grab your food/coffee elsewhere!

There is no question Martín has a passion for food and culinary. The market offers quality ingredients including fresh pasta and truffles. The food is incredible and the customer service is fabulous!

I was stopped nearby getting my tire patched and I needed a place to take a work meeting. All the shops were closing but this place took me in, gave me empanadas and water, and let me take my ridiculous hour long meeting. Martín makes such delicious empanadas and although I didn’t get to try the pasta, they looked just as delicious as the empanadas. I will be forever grateful to Martín and his delicious empanadas for housing me for an hour+!

Reservations are highly recommended due to its popularity; even if you find yourself seated at the bar, rest assured that the experience remains delightful thanks to attentive service.
They are known for their crab cakes and I understand why. They were delicious! Make sure you make reservations because they will be full. We had to sit at the bar for dinner but it didn't take away from our experience. The service was still great! My chocolate martini was perfect 👌. We also got a chance to meet the owner Jimmy and he was very kind. We will definitely be back.

Steaks were good, shishito peppers were fabulous and The salads were really good. Crab cakes were okay, did not love them. Strawberry shortcake was not good, cake was thick and very dry. The fish entrees and scallops were also very good.

I loved the food and the service. Talk about creativity. The chef made chickpea pasta for the vegan entree with mushroom bolognese and cashew cream with basil. I wanted to leave the restaurant quietly after such a mystical dinner but was thrown off by the crowded overpacked firehazard bar on the way out. Talk about hard to get out of.

Guy wasn't the most personable ever, but those little donuts definitely made up for it. Fantastic!!

Donuts were good but service was absolutely awful. The man working could not hear my order because his music was too loud. He told me I was too short to be heard and came out of his truck 3 times for me to repeat my order. He laughed in my face and was extremely rude the whole time.
