Nestled along the stunning seafront of Felixstowe, The Alex Café Bar & Brasserie is a delightful spot that beckons both locals and visitors alike. With its inviting heated patio, it's an ideal place to enjoy breakfast or light snacks while soaking in the picturesque views of South Promenade. The menu is a vibrant mix, featuring everything from delectable brasserie dishes to refreshing cocktails.
We visited The Alex bar on several occasions during our stay in Felixstowe once for breakfast, once late afternoon for bar snacks and drinks and a few times late evening for cocktails. Very friendly staff and the most amazing cocktails. I especially loved the cherry daiquiri and my partner loved the pineapple and jalapeño margarita. The Alex bar is very highly recommended.

Love having breakfast here coz we love their coffee and breakfast menu. Lunch options are amazing too! Perfect to grab a pint too, with beach view! ❤️ I only got disappointed when I tried the brunch bowl and I did not like the consistency of the veggies coz theyre all mashed and blended (like level 6 diet).
Quincy Q — Google review
Great little place to eat overlooking the sea, food was amazing.... little pricey, as you would expect on the seafront....But worth it. Definitely will be coming again. Highly recommend
Paul B — Google review
Great venue, food disappointing, not bad enough to complain but really bland and tasteless, one of the worst, most tasteless cheesy chips I've ever had and beef brisket baguette was average. Had Sunday lunch there a few months ago, again very average and wouldn't bother again as better options available locally... However, great venue, great staff, great for a drink. Perhaps a little complacent about food offering due to location?.
Zoe W — Google review
Catch of the day is a must eat which is worth to enjoy in this quiet beach.
Jimmy F — Google review
I remember when this was the 'in' place and considered very upmarket. Well, it certainly is a great place to be, especially when the sun is shining. Great spot to watch the worls go by, meet friends etc. Cocktails were excellent, great service from really friendly staff. Toilets tatty and garish. Certainly not upmarket.
Emma M — Google review
After attending a show at the Spa Pavilion, we decided to have a drink at The Alex. While the drinks were expensive, they were quite delicious. We noticed that there were many young and somewhat immature patrons there, which led me to pay attention to whether any IDs were checked when drinks were served. In the two hours we spent there, I didn't see anyone's ID being checked. Despite this, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and the young people were well-behaved. Thankfully, there were no issues, especially since there was no security at the door.

Returned to The Alex yesterday, not really a fan of the whole menu but do enjoy The Pulled Pork Nachos which are definitely the best in Felixstowe. This is the small plate portion.

Cafe
Nestled on the picturesque Landguard Peninsula in Felixstowe, the View Point Cafe is a modern and inviting spot that offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Here, you can enjoy your favorite coffee while watching massive cargo ships glide into port—a truly captivating experience! The cafe features a spacious terrace perfect for those looking to refresh themselves with a stroll along the scenic peninsula. Open daily except Christmas Day, it serves as an ideal retreat from everyday life throughout the year.
Don’t be fooled by the location. It is overshadowed by a mountain of containers but equally it has fantastic views of the Orwell Estuary and you can watch the super sized cargo vessels being docked and unloaded while enjoying excellent food! Pay car park is adjacent and gives you the opportunity for a long coastal walk or to explore the Landgard Peninsula Nature Reserve. An SSSI area. In short Great food, Great Service and super clean throughout. Highly recommend!
Derek P — Google review
The food exceeded expectations—beautifully prepared, flavourful, and clearly made with care. It’s a rare pleasure to find such quality in such an unassuming setting. I look forward to returning and would gladly recommend it to others seeking a quiet spot in Felixstowe.
Long W — Google review
For many years, i have ventured to the Landguard Fort and enjoyed the marvellous view of the to-ing and fro-ing of the enormous container ships shuttling in and out of Britain's biggest container port. In 'olden times', I used to catch the train from Norwich, then a bus from Felixstowe Station direct to the fort. These days, it's a train from Ipswich and a cycle ride to the viewpoint with the nearby fort, at time of writing, being closed. The cafe is run by the Yeo Group, a well-established Felixstowe business which also operates the Italian/Mediterranean-themed Cafe Bencotto in the town's former fire station and the Alex Brasserie and Cafe-Bar, which I have also reviewed. Turning up mid-morning on a really chilly and misty late December day, you might have thought I'd have been among a very few hardy souls. Not a bit of it! The place was packed, with queues of folk waiting for a table. I thought the staff very friendly and helpful and, although I was only in for a coffee, the cakes and pastries on display looked very tempting indeed. Very tasty-looking fish and chips and all-day breakfasts were being devoured with some alacrity and some of my upmarket catering chums would have given their right arm for the footfall here. I would suggest that, for ship-spotters, a download of the ship tracker app which, at no cost, will tell you which ship is which and where they have been or are destined to go. Definitely one to recommend. The cafe too, of course!
Michael S — Google review
Had an early morning ride down to Languard Fort and stopped at the View Point Cafe for some breakfast. Food was cooked well especially the egg which normally places overcook, this one was runny in the middle. Reasonably priced however, unless I missed on the menu, I wish I could have added hash browns and black pudding. Overall a positive experience and would go down to visit on the bike again!
Matthew R — Google review
Brilliant little cafe in an unusual location, where you can watch marine traffic in the estuary, wait for the little foot ferry to Harwich, visit Landguard fort or watch the container ships being loaded and unloaded. We’ve just eaten Friday fish and chips (4-6pm) with a cuppa. Proper seaside.
Janice H — Google review
First time to visit this part of Felixstowe, we were greeted with a friendly smile from a member of the staff, you can sit in or out, to be able to watch the ship containers coming into port is amazing. Can highly recommend.
Paul D — Google review
Friendly staff, and efficient service, even at busy times. Competitively priced food, coffees, teas, etc. When the sun’s shining, it’s a lovely place to grab a drink and a snack, or something more substantial.
Mark B — Google review
What a lovely cafe. To start the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The process of getting a table and ordering is so easy. It’s pram and wheelchair access friendly. There is 3 types of high chair/ toddler chairs to choose from. Lovely clean toilets. Lots of history and facts on the walls to learn from whilst having food. We stay for breakfast and the food was just amazing. The chips are o ur of this world. You can sit outside also and enjoy the lovely view of the docks. Very very pleased can’t wait to return.

Spa Pavilion is located near a bustling town center with big name stores, boutiques, crafts, and independent shops. Visitors can pick up souvenirs and enjoy a classic cream tea on the cliff-tops. The venue offers fantastic meals with individual flavors and perfectly cooked vegetables. The waiting staff are attentive and polite, providing top-quality service.
Someone said the seats were cramped. I'm quite wide and 5'9" and was quite comfortable, possibly someone over 6'5 might be snug. Facilities are decent, and clean, staffbwere pleasant.

Staff very friendly, food came quickly and was very nice and freshly cooked, nice outdoor seating area which is dog friendly and there is lots of dog water bowls. My new favourite place to eat it Felixstowe. I highly recommend a visit.
Samuel T — Google review
Thoroughly enjoyed our pre-show meal and drinks with a spectacular view of the sea. 'Lipstick on your collar' was truely a musical feast too.
Barry P — Google review
Staff friendly and helpful, but short in number. Front of house, entrance, and restaurant area looks a bit tired, lick of paint would help, and loos need checking regularly, as they were not particularly clean when we visited late PM. Our mains were tasty (pizzas recommend), and we were given doggy boxes to take home our leftovers, which was appreciated. This venue offers the community a much needed place to watch live shows, and we have booked another later in the year.
Leigh F — Google review
Really nice location, comfortable seating and great views up and down the coast. Staff are friendly, however some training needs to be given on how to serve coffee, mocha in particular, get that right and five stars are well and truly deserved. 🍦🏝️🍻☕️
Simon C — Google review
Small minus that around 1pm there was no food. Location with the view on the sea make the taste of your pint or drink even more tasty if you lucky to grab the spot outside.
Michal B — Google review
I booked a table at The Spa Pavilion Cafe/Restaurant/Bar on the seafront in Felixstowe, Suffolk. Whilst awaiting my drink, my eyes alighted on the reservations book which was open and on full display next to the bar. I merely commented & pointed out in good humour my own reservation. A very unpleasant member of staff reprimanded me and told me in no uncertain terms that I was not to turn my attention to the book as it had personal data on there. Then why is my private & personal data on public display and visible to every customer waiting at the bar? The staff member was rude and when I asked if he still wanted my custom, shrugged his shoulders in an indifferent dismissal. I shan't be frequenting this establishment again.

Love the Spa Pavilion, really lovely staff in both theatre front of house, and restaurant, put on an amazing range of shows to suit all tastes , local theatres so need our support & this theatre is so worthy of support, the food in the restaurant is really lovely , never ever had a bad meal there, all cooked fresh as they get you to pre order before the night,

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Felixstowe, Nutshells By-the-Sea is a charming café that has quickly become a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike. After overcoming challenges from a fire at their previous location, this delightful establishment has flourished over its first year. Known for its inviting atmosphere, it serves an array of high-quality home-baked goods including scrumptious sandwiches, hearty soups, and indulgent cream teas.
Without doubt the best tea rooms / place for brunch / coffee meet-up establishment in all of Felixstowe and I very much suspect much of Suffolk. This really is a delightful place. They get all the important things right, namely; the people are lovely, engaging with genuine warmth. It's real. The food is high quality, presented with care. The cakes are delicious. The ambience is just perfect, the lunchtime rush bringing the place alive with an enthusiastic but polite hubbub! But not forgetting, and this is extremely important to me actually, they get the coffee perfectly right. This is a REALLY LOVELY place.
Steve D — Google review
Good. Pleasant staff. The tea did not have a strong taste, you could hardly feel it. I serve the salad in a bowl and the potatoes on a plate.
Michela V — Google review
Lovely, friendly, independent 'coffee' shop. Serving a good selection of cold and hot food. They even made my favourite croissant, stuffed with melted cheese and a pot of jam (there are a selection of jams to choose from) to go with it. Coffee was tasty too. Plenty of seating. Well worth a visit. Find a table, order at the till. Must try one of their homemade cakes next time.
Leigh F — Google review
I have been visiting Felixstowe for almost 2 years now and every time I am here I frequent Nutshells at least three times a week for a bacon bap and vanilla lattte. Being from Canada, I had never had a bacon bap before and I am totally addicted. Bacon, butter and a bun, who would have thought it would be so delicious - Nutshells on the Sea! Jill remembers both Robin and I year to year and she and Ian have a personal engaging relationship with not only us but all their patrons. Thank you so much for the great food and atmosphere. Really lovely cafe offering tasty home-cooked food and a warm welcome. We went there for a late lunch and enjoyed everything we ordered. Clean plates all round. Leave room for a slice of one of their freshly made cakes. The coffee cake was delicious. Service was excellent. Definitely one to visit if you're in the area. You'll be well looked after.

Gorgeous Tearoom. First time visiting, and we were greeted like regulars, staff cheerful and attentive. Lots of shelves with produce to buy, such as sauces, chutneys, marmalades, and flour.

We had lunch at Nutshells today, a spur of the moment decision and it was EXCELLENT! Absolutely the best fishfinger sandwich I've ever had, ditto the coffee. And the service was exemplary, double checking our stated dietary requirements.

Came to Nutshells 3x during a 2 week trip to Felixstowe. Sorry this lovely tearoom was not here during my previous annual visits to the town. Loved the pesto panini and atmosphere. And Jill was lovely to speak with each time I came in. 😊

Costa Coffee is a delightful counter-service coffee chain that offers an array of hot beverages, refreshing iced coolers, and a tempting selection of sweet snacks and sandwiches. Many patrons have enjoyed the convenience of delivery through Just Eat, noting that their orders arrive promptly and piping hot. The thoughtful packaging ensures no spills while keeping food insulated. During visits for lunch, customers have been pleasantly surprised by promotions like 50% off sandwiches, making it an even more appealing stop.
Visited today & great service from the girls as usual. Attitude & service of the male let's the place down when hes working. Always sit in but he gave me my drink in a takeaway cup! Thought maybe they had run out of clean cups! Great seeing the girls dressed up for charity & out giving out free samples. They always brighten the place up! Keep up the good work girls!

Popped in to grab a lunch and have been nicely surprised by 50% off for sandwiches. On top of that Chai latte was absolutely delicious. No waiting inside. Nice and tidy. A bit empty with cookies and muffins, but not that I was looking for one anyway. Nice and tidy inside. The only downside that even with 50% off for sandwiches, getting one and a regular coffee I still paid £9. Makes no sense.
Airė I — Google review
My husband and myself came here yesterday, as we walked in, we was welcomed to a almost empty cake display, almost empty sandwich display & this was at 13.30, I was sat whilst my husband was get our drinks, he stood for 15 mins waiting, there was 2 staff behind the counter & one floating around in her coat, went to use the toilet & was shocked for a Costa coffee shop, there was urine over the floor, soaked urine tissue on the floor by the sink & urine had covered the toilet seat, a young member of staff went in there (we was sat facing the toilet) she picked up the wet tissue & threw it in the bin but then still left the toilet in the state, she had no gloves on, she went straight behind the counter & got herself a drink(still unwashed hands) never have I been in such a disgusting Costa & with very unprofessional staff.
Jackie G — Google review
Yet again a delivery placed at Costa Felixstowe arrived short of the order. Costa takes no responsibility for this and it happens constantly. It then takes 2 weeks to get a refund from Just Eat. It's not Just Eats fault it's Costas. Calling the Felixstowe branch you are met with accusations of being hostile and told its not a Costa issue. Today I was told by the Felixstowe branch that delivery customers come second to store customers thats the Costa policy. The branch is supposed to call the customer if they don't have their item so it can be replaced with something else. This never ever happens with the Felixstowe branch. The reason I order a delivery is because of the state of the Felixstowe store..its filthy. Tables aren't cleared and there's old food on the floor. It needs a deep clean. Staff need to be trained in dealing with complaints because the person I spoke with today had very little good to say about Costa and their delivery policy.
Jackie O — Google review
As Costa branches go, this looks a little tired. Polite staff, a good vanilla Latte and bacon roll, perfectly acceptable, but the branch was having air con issues when since it was already a warm day outside just made it uncomfortable to sit inside. It wasn't the fault of the staff, they have to put up with the same heat and still do a job, but like I said, the branch looks tired so maybe a refresh and a new air con unit will improve it as its the only reason why I've marked it down...
CITY R — Google review
Food looks good but is far too expensive. Service is usually good from the regular staff but can be hit & miss with newer staff members. However, recently there have been incidences of cash only or card only service and a couple of occasions where the dishwasher is broken and coffee is only available in takeaway cups. My objection to this is that the takeaway cups are larger than the china cups and most servers want to top up the drink with extra water - weakening the brew! Finally, the atmosphere in the cafe is ruined by the incessant noise from the coffee and ice-making equipment. This is bad enough for the customers but must be very stressful for the staff, who have to spend all day there. I have no complaint with the staff as the regular girls are working hard in difficult conditions.
David K — Google review
Good coffee and very nice staff. Fast service and they have Christamas themed hot chocolates in the season. Very nice!

The Fludyers Hotel is a modern hotel housed in an Edwardian building located right across from the beach. Guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast and dine on the terrace. The hotel's restaurant has received positive reviews, offering British cuisine with dishes like roast potatoes, fish and chips, and more. While some visitors found the initial reception unwelcoming, they praised the efficient and friendly service once seated. The dining room may lack atmosphere but makes up for it with good food and excellent service.
Have visited Fludyers several times before on our day trips to Felixstowe, but usually for coffee and cake. Today we decided to try the Beef Sunday lunch and it was excellent! Plenty of tasty beef and great roast potatoes and Yorkshire pud, also a generous portion of 5 other veg. Couldn’t fault it - staff were friendly and attentive too.
Edna C — Google review
We called in at 4pm on a Sunday and it was still pretty packed inside. Outside tables were aplenty so we opted for one of those as the weather was still nice and a lovely sea view. Our food order came within 15 minutes and was of a very high standard with prices in the mid range for a hotel. They do allow dogs in the bar area but they are not allowed in the restaurant and at the outside tables, which is fair enough. The bar and toilets were very clean and the staff helpful and friendly so will be returning again.
Martin K — Google review
We found Clusters during a walk along the promenade, initially it was only going to be a coffee-stop but their menu proved too tempting to ignore. Particularly pleasing was the staff being able, and willing, to make minor adaptations to our orders. Namely bread accomplishment to the muscles was not wanted, no problem, but substitution with a fresh garden salad was - no problem. Far too often establishments have a rigid approach to their menu items and cannot get their minds away from the status of that is how the kitchen prepares it and cannot change. It should be added the muscles came in a spicy tomato sauce - something never encountered before, it was delicious. The line caught fish was revealed to be a well cooked haddock of quite generous proportions. No complaints on either score. There is outside seating overlooking the beach but there are quite large areas of seating and tables inside if that be your preference. We had not been to Felixstowe before and found it most agreeable. Should the mood or circumstances make it possible we will be quite happy to return there, and make Fludyers our chosen lunch stop.
Andy C — Google review
We stayed in the Simpson's Suite which was wonderful and exceeded the pictures on the website. Definitely worth it just for the bath alone. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating in all things; they arranged an early check in for us, booked us a taxi and held our luggage for us as we went to sit on the beach after checking out. The breakfast was delicious with a good selection. The only thing I would note, which is not at all a flaw with the hotel, is that taxis can be a little sparse from the train station, so if you are arriving by train and are used to an area with Uber or lots of cabs, you should look up a local firm and book ahead of time (or I'm sure Fludyers would be more than happy to do that for you if you contact them!) or be prepared for a long wait or to walk from the station.
Will B — Google review
No idea about rooms at the hotel. Came here for coffee, and stayed for the Sunday roast. Very hench Sunday dinner. Epic beef, superb dinner. Could not eat it all and took the rest away in a ‘doggy box’ for later. But… did manage the cheesecake. Mum had the chicken Caesar salad (main meal version). Place was busy, and if it matters to you either way, Dog Friendly.
Sacha R — Google review
Went to fludyers for Sunday lunch twice recently. On both occasions the food is good quality but a little overpriced. The only problem is the service. The staff are all very young and do not appear to have experience or to be well managed. The order taken promptly and food delivered with reasonable wait. However after this service disappears, no one clears the table or asks if anything else required. Even the bill is not forthcoming, you have to chase waiter for it and then you have to prompt them again. This happened on both occasions. The staff are often seen behind the bar, chatting, not paying attention to customers.
Liz D — Google review
We used the restaurant for a special birthday lunch. Ordered swordfish, only to find out that , even looking properly grilled, was in reality completely uncooked inside. (Of course that's the case when you try to cook something frozen, without de- frosting it) despite the waitress assurance that it was fresh (the price tag was indeed for a fresh one). Not a word of apologies ,and we ended up having a mediocre fish and chips. My verdict Service 1 Waitress ( the one we approached to raise the issue) 0 Quality of food 0 Value for money -1 Really ready disappointed. Shame...

The Fludyers is the top eating place in Felixstowe in our opinion. The food is delicious, the location superb, the ambiance is spot on and all the staff members are brilliant. They accommodated a large party of us for Sunday lunch in the Simpson room and did a fantastic job of serving all our meals together. The waiting staff are all young but really courteous and attentive. You don’t ever have to ask for anything there because the staff are so on the ball with service.

The Greenhouse Cafe in Felixstowe is a newly opened family-run establishment that prides itself on offering an extensive breakfast menu and plant-based cuisine. The cafe is run by a family of four who are dedicated to serving ethically sourced food and supporting local growers. Their menu features homemade vegan cakes, blackcurrant croissants, and dishes like fresh guacamole and tomato salsa on toast made from locally sourced ingredients.
Love it here at the Greenhouse Cafe, always so kind and warming inside. The food Alice makes is super, super yummy! They've helped me with catering for an event as well, which was great and well received by the guests. They squeezed me in even though they were already so busy. The quiche is amazing, I can't wait until its back! We've also been for a roast one Sunday, that was a really yummy meal and we were all full.
Gemma D — Google review
The cafe has limited seating but I think it makes the atmosphere calmer and more relaxed. If you can't get a seat, they offer takeaway good and drink, which can be enjoyed on the beach if the weather permits. The service is always friendly and I've enjoyed every visit I've made. I like that the menu is seasonal. I always enjoy the scones and the cookie dough.

More of the same... Difficult to improve on perfection. 😁 What a lovely cafe, first time we have see this place open and what a treat. Not a vegan however with food and drinks like this I could soon change over. Went for the no sauss roll and posh toast, just so good and the coffee just so different yes it was a latte with oat milk with nutmeg grated on the top. Tasting is believing this place is really so good. The service was also very good not rushed and the whole cafe collecctecly furnished was just so nice. Needless to say we will be back to tryout the other specials as soon as we can. This is only a very small Venus with some 5 small tables so you will need to be patient or book. 😁 Now a regular place to visit we just love this place and continued changing menus and specials board never stuck for choice. Only problem now and in a good way is the ever growing popularity and our option to walk in off the street as it is Nealy always so busy. But still the best😊

Absolutely loved it in here!! Such a lovely atmosphere, amazing vegan food, reasonably priced, environmentally aware and the ladies were so friendly and inviting. In summary: Happiness on a plate. Quaint little cafe. Booking recommended to get a table as it is popular. We had today's special and it was fantastic. Vegan quiche (mushrooms, roasted garlic and caramelised onions) which was lovely and creamy. Coleslaw and potatoe salad. We couldn't help but try out the cake. 😀 Very nice.

Fantastic little café with delicious vegan food that will fill you up. I had the butternut and squeak toastie that was packed with flavour in each bite and extremely filling which is great. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful, even picked up a nossage roll to have later! Highly recommended for a great meal.

Delicious food, that is all vegan, and very economical. Our food was prepared for take-out very quickly and portion sizing was perfect. The staff were very friendly and the cafe had a cozy and warm atmosphere. Very much recommended, and we shall be returning!

If you want vegan or vegetarian here is the place to go! Service is prompt however all food is cooked fresh to order so it is a wait for your meal / snack so if you are in a hurry please be aware you have to wait but it's worth it. The staff were friendly and welcoming very homely atmosphere and well decorated. I would happily go back and sit in (we had takeaway food ). The quiche was delicious and they also do machta tea which I am sad that I did not have time to enjoy! (I think there is also Wi-Fi available if you want to sit in). Cake was also excellent and when we come back next holiday we will spend more time exploring the menu here.

Fulky vegan cafe that does live music, yoga, you name it. A real sense of community. The owners and staff are so friendly and welcoming. The coffee is great and the food is lovely. Loads of vegan cakes, constantly rotating. An absolute must visit. They have live music nights as well which I will absolutely be going back for. The decor is homely and you cant help but feel relaxed and welcome there.

Cuppa is the most exquisite cafe - an absolute jewel of a place nestled away on High Rd West Felixstowe - if you’re visiting Felixstowe you MUST go! We live in London and have spotted it on our way home many times before & today we stopped. We only had time for a take away but we shall be back! It’s early on Easter Sunday & we had the most fabulous welcome by a young man behind the counter who rustled up the most delicious coffee & we grabbed some gluten free cakes to go as well. There is a huge menu with vegan and gluten free choices, also lots of different milks. The ambience inside is wonderful, it’s beautifully decorated with carefully chosen furniture, so colourful and it just looked such a homely place. We absolutely loved this cafe , it’s exactly what we needed to cheer us up when we really didn’t want to leave Felixstowe (we never do!). This is a very good reason to come back again soon. Thank you guys for being open today & for being so welcoming. You rock 🤗

Several friends had mentioned this community cafe to me, and although it is only a seven minute cycle ride from my house, it's not on my normal route to anywhere. Except for the nearby Walton House dental hygienist - and today was the day! So, having been given a sparklingly dazzling smile by Angela, I parked my bike, admired the attractive exterior, and ventured inside. Wow!! It is the only word. The decor is both eclectic and extraordinary. There are comfy settees, bar stools, books to read, board games to play, loads of interesting photographs and paintings. The list goes on and on. Principally, Cuppa is a coffee shop and has lovely home-baked cakes, pastries, veggie sausage rolls, and so much more. Nice, unobtrusive, background music, too. My lunch was a yummy freshly baked garlic focaccia, sauteed mushrooms with nicely dressed onion and green salads. Washed down with a splendid cappuccino. All for a bargain £10.90. A friendly welcome, too, which counts for so much these days. I don't have another dental appointment until January, but I will be back long before then. But only if Pippin, the little dog, has stopped having a hissy fit.

My friends and I go fairly often on our lunch break for a catch up. Sometimes just coffee and sometimes lunch. The ‘Healthy Stuff’ plate is always amazing and I’ve also had soup before which was delicious. I love the quirky vibe and the fact in the past I’ve had a food intolerance, it’s lovely to have somewhere in Felixstowe that does vegan food. The staff are also so friendly and accommodating.

Massively overpriced! £7.95 for a toasted cheese and onion toastie (bland, white processed bread and zero garnish), weak coffee at £3.80. We don’t even pay those prices in London where the quality and service is far superior. A major issue is that the menu chalked up on the front of the kiosk shows no pricing - this is illegal! We have sent a photo of this to Trading Standards. Our strong advice is to use the Brackenbury kiosk or the Cliff Cafe - you’ll have a much better experience

Amazing range of treats and they run a beach hut a few steps away too pay at the kiosk to get a key to a great little base for your visit. Plenty of parking not too far away. This charming café boasts a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where friendly staff ensure you feel right at home. Their menu features an array of mouthwatering options, from scrumptious cookies—like the highly praised red velvet—to perfectly sized toasties paired with creamy mac and cheese. The drink selection is equally impressive, offering both hot and cold beverages that are sure to please any palate.
Great to have this new cafe in Felixstowe. I've been to both the Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds ones and things keep getting better! Not only do they have great bubble teas, cookies and coffee, this store also has freshly made baguettes, wraps and rolls as well a made to order toasted sandwiches! What more could you ask for!!

I love this place. Such a friendly environment and the service is always amazing. The food is always delicious. Especially the cookies. The toasties are perfect size for lunch with the side of Mac and cheese they are always full of flavour. I often get it to take away and everything is wrapped up and packed to keep it hot The drinks are equally delicious hot or cold. I've tried a variety of the bubble teas all have been lovely. There are so many different flavours to choose from. I often have a different one each time. Of the many cafes and coffee shops in Felixstowe this is one of my favourites.
Harriet A — Google review
Enticed by an offer of a free coffee if I bought a Cheese toastie (£6.50), I ventured in after hosting the first talk of the new u3a season in Felixstowe. First impressions are really good. It's a most attractive layout with tables nicely spaced out and a pair of comfy armchairs in each window. There was a friendly welcome and the order was quickly taken. I wasn't offered a choice of bread and was disappointed to overhear a customer later asking if granary bread was available, which it was, but wasn't offered. The toastie came with a few nachos and a large gherkin, plus I had opted for the taster of mac and cheese on the side. My cup of free cappuccino was undoubtedly the highlight; the toastie was completely bland, while the mac and cheese was overcooked and not at all pleasant. The gherkin was lovely! It's a pity because I liked the clean and welcoming look of the place. But I don't think I will be lured away from my regular haunt just a little further along the street.

The photos on here are mainly from before this place moved. Same people but new location, right next to Sainsbury's. Very handy for our cocktail crawl, was the only place open up Hamilton Road before the station before the last train. A lot of plastic stuff adorns the walls and ceilings to get the right atmosphere, but it's a great little find with friendly owner. Amazing selection of drinks. Nestled along the picturesque Suffolk coast in Felixstowe, Ruby's Kitchen is a delightful cafe that embodies warmth and charm. Known for its inviting atmosphere and friendly service, this eatery has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. The menu features an array of delicious options, with the full English breakfast standing out as a signature dish. Diners can also enjoy lighter fare like jacket potatoes and sandwiches, all at wallet-friendly prices.
If you want a big breakfast for champions, we highly recommend Ruby’s in Felixstowe! Absolutely delicious, generous portions, value for money. Service is fast and welcoming plus the place has got a lovely view of the sea!
Sandy F — Google review
Ruby's is literally one minute away from my house, so it's really weird that I had never visited before. In my defence, it's at the top of a VERY steep hill down to the prom and it's just not somewhere I would happily cycle down. And certainly not UP! However, my colleague from U3A, Margaret, had recommended it and so, on a horribly hot and humid day, we ventured forth. I was amused by a mother and her two teenage offspring sitting at a table inside, then deciding to go out on to the terrace and, when that proved FAR too hot, returned, with bright red-faces, inside. They were lucky to find a vacant table because Ruby's is clearly a popular place. It's easy to see why. Their cake selection (see my photo) is hugely impressive, while their meal selection is fairly small, it is well-priced with huge portions. Margaret asked for an omelette which, although not on the menu, was happily provided. I opted for the croque Madame (£8.95 I think, but rude to ask, because I was the guest!) which was excellent, although I think one slice of the bread would have been more than enough. Both came with a nice little side salad. The two young servers were both very friendly and efficient. From pensioners to youngsters, it's clearly a popular little cafe. Which, once it cools down a bit, I will most certainly visit again. The cakes looked scrummy!
Michael S — Google review
Ruby's speak easy bar is a real delight of a place to visit and should be added to everyone's list of places that are a must go. Within minutes of arrival we were laughing and joking with the staff and customers feeling really at home. Such a lovely atmosphere it was exactly what we all needed . Thank you to Hannah and her team . I look forward to many more fun times

Lovely café we found by chance when wandering around. Just called in for a pot of tea and a date slice. Both excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was near to closing time so we sat by the counter area but there are a lot of tables at the back and it looked as if there was a bit of a seafront view from a balcony. Glad we called in. At the top of a hill so probably difficult to park.

A tasty breakfast with homemade bubble and squeak was delicious. The service is amazing and the staff super friendly and welcoming. A very popular place for people to meet up for a chat in a lovely atmosphere based on the clientele today. I would highly recommend.
Amanda D — Google review
I came here for lunch with my mum and I was not impressed. The price of the food for the quality isn't good. I don't know if they have done any risk assessments or coshh training as when cleaning tables they're spraying the chemicals onto the table instead of into the cloth while people are eating around them. I also chewed on some plastic wrapper that was in my beans and when I told the woman who appeared to be the boss, she just said sorry half heartedly and said she will speak to the chef. When going to leave the woman at the register asked if everything was ok, i said not really as i chewed on plastic in my beans and she seemed to not even be listening. We didn't receive discount or anything as a better apologie for there being plastic in my food. I won't be coming back here nor will I recommend them

We got a new car to encourage mini adventures on the weekends. Simple plan to select a general direction & then find a highly rated spot for late breakfast. This our first trip took us to Ruby’s in Felixstowe. Thus far the most expensive breakfast we’ve had (considering the cost to get here) ... but simply put - SO WORTH IT 👌🏼😋 THE BEST pork sausages & homemade hash browns to have ever graced my English breakfast plate!!! The eggs, bacon, black pudding & quintessential baked beans equally splendid! Oh ... and they also happened to serve the best Cortado I’ve had in a very long time 😋 ... and a proper Belgian Waffle too 😁 Felixstowe also happens to be a delightful spot too and will definitely add to our must see again places (preferably in warmer weather though!)

The Blue Nan was a place i spotted on Google before departing on my trip to Felixstowe. Although i fancied fish and chips all day, we decided to pop in for a curry as it was inly down the road rrom our hotel. The first thing is that this place dies not serve alcohol. On asking why, it was stated by the change of owner that it was because if his religious belief. He tells you this at the door so the choice is yours whether to stay ir go. I ordered a Lamb Vindaloo. I have been making and eating curries for years and i can tell you that this was the best, tastiest curry that i have ever had. The owner done the rounds talking to his customers which was a nice touch before realising that he was promoting his YouTube channel and New book as stating that he taught the chefs in the kitchen how to create the food. Can't blame him o suppose. They are all doing it these days. Well, apart from me. I must be missing out on something perhaps? A recommended place to visit.

Fantastic fresh Ice cream. Made just 15 minutes away from Suffolk cows milk. Lots of flavours to choose from. Large portions and so tasty. Service is great, Manta was a great help!

The bar is situated opposite Felixstowe leisure, it's a nice place, you can see the beach from here. Friendly staffs. If you like sweet flavours you can order the coffee cake. I like their fancy ice cream with many variants of flavour.

Lovely little ice cream shop, you can also sit in and eat some light bites like sandwiches and have a tasty ice cream for afters whilst you walk along the sea front and visit more local attractions such as the pier amusements , the big wheel or just sit and watch and listen to the waves. They have a variety of different ice creams and you can even mix and match flavors. They have waffle cones which taste amazing and dont go soggy. Prices are good and reasonable and staff are always friendly. You can even try a bit of ice cream flavour before you buy.

Really lovely staff and food, great to sit in the open window on a sunny day and watch the world go by. The coffee was very strong. Only blot on my visit was the toilet, the bin looked in need of a good clean and the floor was very wet, which isn't nice when you have to stand in it then walk it through the restaurant.
Emma M — Google review
The portions were really generous and the ice cream was really creamy. They did take their time to serve me and it was a bit awkward though. The ambience was nice with the chippy next door and plenty of indoor tables.

Three times we asked for a lemon sorbet. The young lady repeated chocolate sorbet, then tried serving lemon curd ice cream even though we asked for the lemon sorbet, then she started to do chocolate sorbet once more, our 21 year old and her dad both went stop your doing chocolate sorbet, she has a dairy and gluten allergy she asked for lemon sorbet about 7 times now and your still not listening, she huffed, didn't clean the scoop correctly then put the 21 year olds spoon into her dads oreo ice cream before placing the spoon into the sorbet. No idea on service with a smile. No idea on allergies. No idea on please and thank you. We have made a report to the council as our 21 yr old could have died if she had actually eaten the sorbet once it arrived with the amount of chocolate sorbet mixed in it.

Wow, what a great ice cream. Went for a walk on the prom yesterday evening and wanted an ice cream other than a whippy type. Plenty of choice of flavours and I went for the 3 scoops!! The vegan chocolate is fantastic with a deep chocolate flavour. Also had a bounty and salted caramel flavour. Reasonable value with food portions and friendly service. I feel the need for another walk on the prom soon!!!

Lovely little ice cream parlour more to offer than expected! Even had dippy eggs on menu! Every order coming out looked well presented. Hotchoc with cream and marshmallows was delish what we needed on cold day along the front.

Cliff Top Cafe in Felixstowe is a charming seaside eatery offering a variety of cakes, scones, and hot meals. The cafe provides excellent service and a diverse menu with well-cooked and presented dishes. With beautiful views of the sea from its outdoor seating area and a cozy interior for less favorable weather, it's an ideal spot to enjoy delicious food and drinks. Visitors praise the friendly staff and accommodating service, making it a top choice for dining in Felixstowe.
It's one of those cafe/restaurant places you love to eat and drink at, outside seating has beautiful views out to sea, with Felixstowe seafront gardens just a few places away, inside the restaurant area there's more tables, to choose if the weather is a little off on your visit. The staff are charming and welcoming, service is excellent. Menu is quite a lot to choose from, and always well cooked/presented, breakfast here is about the best available in Felixstowe, the fish also Hugh quality. If coming via the gardens be mindful there's steps, although there's an easier way in via the road, it's on a slope but nothing too major to cope with. I shall be visiting here for a longtime into the future. I hope you visit and enjoy as much as I do.

This cafe was a lovely place to get a breakfast. Me and my boyfriend visited as it was right next to the sea, with a wonderful view of the beach and the food was great! When we finally got to the counter after waiting for a queue of people they said the food was going to be ready in around 50 minutes. We were fine with that so waited and the food was lovely so it was worth the wait (I think we just caught the cafe at an extremely busy time). Overall great food and the service were nice too. Would recommend during the summer time when it’s a bit hotter as there was available seating outside overlooking the sea. Dogs are also allowed if they are kept on a lead!

I wouldn't have known about this busy little cafe had I not had a local host. Certainly I couldn't see any signposting at the road end when I cycled past on my new electric bike. It's a bit too squished in for my liking and whoever is in charge of the music needs to learn that simply turning up the volume when the place is busy just irritates. That said, the food was absolutely excellent. I had the home-made honeyed parsnip soup which was marvellous. Susan and I both had toasties with bacon, me adding brie. Yum! The little salad with a little dressing of some sort was really fresh and jolly tasty. Very large pots of tea. I ordered a pot each which was enough for four. If they bought smaller furniture, with more tables for two and sorted out the wretched musak, it would be five stars all round. The food certainly deserves full marks.

Great food with quality ingredients. Cooked breakfast excellent, also fruit scone, jam and cream and flapjack. Coffee great. We were able to eat outside with a wonderful view but inside was also inviting and very busy. (Always a god sign) Smiling and accommodating service. We have eaten in several places on the front in Felixstowe but The Cliff Top beats them all hands down. Keep it up guys.

Visited for the first time as new to the area, portion sizes are very generous and great value for money. In the picture I attached this is 2 large breakfasts, they allow you to change items if you don’t like certain things, one of the breakfasts we changed mushrooms for a black pudding which was great! The staff are extremely friendly and the service was great, we had sat down for around five minutes and ordered and our food arrived shortly after which was great! I am very impressed with the homemade hash browns they were a lovely touch ! The cafe is very warm which is great in cold weather and has a great atmosphere. Overall very impressed and will be returning 👍

First visit, and after being welcomed by a staff member, my wife and I enjoyed the small and small vegetarian breakfast respectively, accompanied by generous-sized coffees, served in mugs. The cafe was nice and clean, and it being a Saturday morning, Parkrun participants steadily filled the tables as we ate—good to see a small business attract a steady stream of customers. Food was nice and hot, and a staff member checked that all was okay with our meal as we tucked in. No complaints from us, and we look forward to calling again when we’re over from central Suffolk.

Beautiful place to sit with good views and 30 second walk to the beach. Staff are very friendly and pleasant and portion sizes are good. Small wait time and you can either sit indoors or on the veranda and eat outside. Seated are comfy and they even have a sofa if your wanting to relax and have a drink, dogs are welcome on the veranda. A good selection of different foods and drinks however we only go their for all day breakfasts. Will try something different next time.

Popped in this morning for a breakfast before leaving Felixstowe for home, based on the strength of a takeaway bacon and sausage bap we were bought on Saturday. Not at all disappointed, friendly service, clean and the food was wonderful. Best sausages and bacon I've had for years, home made hash brown was awesome and even simple things like the toast was lovely. Very well priced and we will certainly go back the next time we're there.

A grey and cold January Saturday and every table in this excellent cafe is taken. The folk next to me were having grilled cheese on toast. THAT's what I am having next time. It looked lovely. My bacon and egg roll and cup of cappuccino hit the spot too. I've kind of adopted this venue as my base in the town while I look for somewhere to rent. I've enjoyed many excellent meals in the last six weeks, from their 'Sunday Roast', served every day, to a mixed grill and the ubiquitous fish and chips. I love that they have salt and pepper mills on each table, but just wish they would fix the door, which doesn't close properly. The staff seem to spend their lives stopping the winter chill pervading the otherwise cosy atmosphere within. It's also great that they have great wifi access. The decor in the toilets is something else and HAD to have a photograph included in this review. Highly recommended! (The cafe, not the loos!). Postscript: On a horribly wet late morning, I fulfilled my promise and returned to have the cheese on toast I'd SO coveted last Saturday. Excellent! With real Heinz tomato sauce from a bottle and freshly milled salt and pepper. All while the rain lashed down outside. Good plan! April update I was delighted to take my old broadcasting chum, Keith Skues, to the cafe on his first ever trip to the town. A plate of liver, bacon, onions and mash was much enjoyed! He, having been on Radio Caroline prior to getting signed to Radio One, was keen to see the plaque to the former pirate ship on the viewpoint above the Town Hall Gardens. Broadcasting Royalty in the town!

From start to finish this cafe deserves 5*. You are greeted on arrival - shown to a table by a friendly member of staff and left to select your choice from a very comprehensive menu. The food is served promptly, is generous in portion size and tastes wonderful. Value for money is excellent. The staff are attentive without being invasive to your space. The cafe is kept spotless and tables are cleared promptly. An all round excellent experience - highly recommended.

We came to Felixstowe for the day & found this cafe. What a lovely place! Everyone seemed so friendly & happy. The service we had was very personal to our likes & dislikes. Food came quickly & was piping hot, attractively presented on the plates & absolutely delicious. There isn’t one thing I would change about our visit here. Tables were quickly emptied and wiped ready for the next customers, there was a queue to get in for a while too. Lovely place! We’ll be back

I thought I'd try the chicken curry since it was in the "Home Made" section on the menu. Didn't have to wait long for it to come. Heat wise it wasn't very hot, nor was it very spicy I'm not sure if the rice was made with pudding rice? It was served with a side salad, that while it was dressed, (Not sure if it was seasoned), it left a fishy aftertaste in my mouth, as if it was dressed with the water\oil from a tin of tuna. I hadn't had anything to eat at that point, and my tastebuds a normally pretty good, but it threw me none-the-less The main dish was indeed clearly home made, but it was very watery and the chicken was a bit dry, and at £10 a portion, (Which was the size of what I'd call a small portion) it was well overpriced for what it was. I was expecting a dish the same as if you were making it at home with due care and attention, rather than something that seemed quickly boshed together with not a care in the world. I doubt I'll be going there again for anything other than maybe a coffee.

Bit slow but worthwhile wait. Generous helping of ice cream. Nice owner, just needs a bit of help when busy. Crazy parking charges, in the very smart new car park, on a Saturday in summer and 4 cars parked in it, min charge £4 !!!!! For 2 HR. No wonder the residential roads are chokka with parked cars.
Paul P — Google review
Paid for an ice cream only for the ice cream to fall out of the cone, I hadn’t had any, only taken a few steps away from the counter. We asked for a replacement/refund only to be told he could offer us another one at a reduced price because it wasn’t ‘his problem’. Obviously not bothered about customers only about selling. Not hard to see what happened, laugh and put another scoop on as clearly he hadn’t pushed it down properly. Safe to say we won’t be going back there again and will not be recommending.

Our first time visiting and it did not disappoint. What a gem this place is. We stopped in for breakfast today. The cafe is clean and tidy, the staff were outstanding, with great service from the lady that took our order at the till. I had the SeaYou breakfast and my wife had the meat breakfast burrito and we each had a large cappuccino. The coffee was excellent and we didn’t have to wait too long for the food to come out. The food was hot and freshly cooked. The full breakfast was great, the toast was superb. A chunky slice of white, nicely roasted but it was still very soft inside. Freshly buttered. Lovely. I really enjoyed the breakfast and my wife really enjoyed the breakfast burrito. It looked great. I’ll be getting that next time. The cafe is fully accessible with access ramps for wheelchair/scooter users. As well as the varied menu, they had a delicious looking selection of cakes and other baked goods available to buy at the counter. This place is clearly popular and it’s easy to see why. We will be visiting again in the near future.

A very clean and modern café, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. We had the Classis Reuben and Cheese & Ham toastie with two soft drinks - the price came to just over £27.00 which is quite expensive, but the food was good quality. All staff were friendly and there looked to be a variety of cakes and savouries on offer, as well as a good alcoholic drink selection. The music was quite loud for a weekday lunchtime, but that's only a small point to note. All in all, I'd recommend a visit.

Popped in for a breakfast brunch, food lovely, you can order from table using a website and staff all cheerful and friendly. Only downside is how busy it is, with tables a bit all over the place, making it challenging for people with limited mobility, or pushchairs etc to get through.

The Waffle Shack is a beloved spot known for its fluffy and crispy waffles with generous toppings. Customers rave about the berry and biscoff waffles, praising their reasonable prices and delicious flavors. The owner is commended for being accommodating to groups, especially children, creating a kind and patient atmosphere. Visitors enjoy the big yet not overly sweet waffles that can be customized with various toppings. The staff's friendliness adds to the bubbly and relaxed atmosphere of the place.
This was a surprise to find this last night! Nowhere else was open for ice cream, my daughter had a small strawberry pot and we had milkshakes. It was so nice! I should imagine it gets busy and there's only a few seats but it is in the container Beach Street so this is understandable. The staff are friendly and the menu is a reasonable price too :) Ps left is a "small" and it was enough for me as an adult, regular was good size too!

The waffle shack was absolutely amazing!! Waffles crepes milkshakes and more it is excellent as a place to enjoy pudding !!! The waffles were big but not overlay sweet (you can fix this with the choice of toppings though!) The staff were friendly and welcoming and it was a bubbly relaxed atmosphere. It is excellent here and they do takeaway waffles too!
Guineapiglady — Google review
I have come here twice now and enjoyed my food each time. Nothing being a waffle with toppings for dessert and found them to be really good. The reason for my lower review is based on staff. The staff are seen visibly, leaving the back, walking to the front of the store, smoking or vaping with their uniform and aprons on, picking their face etc then going straight back into the kitchen cooking without washing hands. Also the time before I was there, the staff where too busy messing around saying about the beach street staff catching them and about how bad that would be and running in and out the store like children. Thought this was very unprofessional both times. The first time I never left a review as it was benefit of a doubt but the second time seeing what I saw made me leave this review. Again, food was spectacular.

Visited on 29.8.2021. Ordered three waffles, Americano, Latte and Hot Chocolate. All excellent, but you really need a sweet tooth for the waffles (maybe stating the obvious) and the waffle does lose its consistency quite quickly under all the toppings. I was walking in town and saw this little place. Love it. The staff are polite and helpful. The food is amazing fresh and good quality. The cafe is very reasonable.. Top quality. Very nice and happy to recommend.. worth a visit. Best cafe in the town by far.

Enjoyed one of the specials for the day, a hunters chicken burger which came with chips and coleslaw. All very nice and freshly cooked, the wife had the American breakfast and loved it. The guys there were really friendly and engaging, they can't help that they like cricket but we all have our flaws 😉🤣

Lovely little cafe in Felixstowe Town, with ample parking over the road Simple tasty breakfast menu, made with great fresh ingredients Friendly attentive staff, decor is nice & fresh, with comfy & ample seating Would highly recommend this for a tasty breakfast & having seen (but not eaten) the afternoon tea that they have on the menu sometimes, I'm going to have to come back & try that ASAP!!!

Wonderful independent coffee cafe, several now over the world. You can choose from their blend or several different types of bean to suit ones taste. Professional attentive service, staff are educated and knowledgeable when ask about the different beans. I also asked for a Cortado, which isn't on their menu... not an issue! Follow them on Instagram for monthly competitions, which I won the June one!

Nestled in a charming spot, Spud Hut is the ultimate destination for jacket potato lovers and health-conscious eaters alike. This delightful café specializes in serving up fluffy jacket potatoes topped with an impressive array of vegan options, ensuring that everyone can find something to satisfy their cravings. If you're in the mood for something lighter, their build-your-own salad menu features fresh ingredients and plenty of vegan toppings to customize your meal just the way you like it.
Used for two lunch times while working nearby. Had the salad box one day which was great value for what’s inside and certainly filled me up. Enjoyed a hunters jacket spud the following day and again was just the ticket. Both meals freshly prepared and service with a smile. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cute little lunch outing that break the bank.

Very good customer service. Place itself small, I got a feeling of canteen instead of coffee/brunch place. Not very private if you want to have a chat with someone. Food was good. Although I would try something else next time. Place lunch order with work and have enjoyed it. Only missed some kind of dressing for salads. It was fresh but plain.

We love this place. The salad box is amazing value and you can tailor the ingredients to have exactly what you want. Very generous portions and a very considerate, friendly owner (Shania). We soon returned.

Can't fault this friendly little place. We ate in one day, and out the next. It's absolutely tiny - just three tables - but all food was freshly prepared... and where else would give you the option of a Yorkshire pudding with your jacket spud?!

Called in for my first visit. I Was looking for something light, not the usual seaside fish and chips. I had a Panini with salad garnish, very nice it was too. The staff were 2 lovely ladies who were very helpful and pleasant. Won't be my last visit, Pete the biker.

How refreshing to find such a great place with good quality fresh food at a reasonable price. Staff are so nice and friendly and certainly know and observe Vegetarian and Vegan handling of food and separation. Perfect size jackets that will fill you for the day with a mouth watering selection of toppings and extras including fresh, yes (fresh) salad to your own personal likings including or ommiting any items not favoured. We have visited a number of times now and the quality, freshness, value for money and great service are always the same. A range of other products savory and sweet are also available should you manage to eat the whole spud and have room for a desert. Only slight detail I'm not so sure on is the decor as this looks old fashioned and dated. Highly recommend this little gem, see you again soon.

The best waffle place in Felixstowe! Always fresh, cooked perfectly, wide selection of toppings (and they are very generous with the toppings!). All with ice cream on the side. You can tell the cakes, cookies and brownies are handmade. Not some boring kinds but for example today I had oreo brownie. The cafe is very lovely designed, service is always with a smile and nothing is problem. They do delivery too which is very handy.

The little dreams cafe is a beautiful setting with thoughtful and calming furnishings inside. I visited for the first time today for a spontaneous coffee and panini and both were delicious. We will definitely be back for another round soon :)

Brackenbury Kiosk is a delightful spot that has become a favorite for many visitors in Suffolk. This charming kiosk offers an array of freshly made sandwiches, aromatic teas, and rich coffees, alongside tempting cakes, ice cream, and snacks. With clean seating areas boasting stunning sea views from the clifftop, it’s the perfect place to relax. The friendly staff ensure your experience is enjoyable by bringing your orders right to your table.
Such a gem! Best cheese scones (warm) anywhere. Also great coffee and tray bakes etc
Sarah C — Google review
Stopped by for coffee, cake and an ice cream for my little one. Can only describe the experience as very odd. Can understand that coffee and cake might not be up to much in a small kiosk, but the staff were slow, disinterested, behaving oddly and to be honest I just wanted to get away as quick as I could.
Pete S — Google review
Ice cream was lovely, not badly priced. Unfortunately the lady working here put a downer on our time there as she kept looking at my son and huffing at him. ( with him being a little behind and autistic he struggles to wait in queues which we are trying to improve). The man was lovely and kept explaining that they would be a minute longer as I explained that they were serving somebody else before us. This has now made it uncomfortable to return here as it is hard enough being a parent to an autistic child without being judged by people who don't understand.
Hannah G — Google review
Favourite place for a cup of tea in Suffolk. Lovely view of the sea from the clifftop, topped off with great service from the owners. Nothing to complain about. Also, the toasted cheese scones are fantastic!

Nestled in the heart of Felixstowe, The Family Cafe is a charming throwback to the classic cafe experience that many of us cherish. This delightful spot offers freshly prepared meals that stand in stark contrast to the often lackluster offerings found at busy hotel buffets. After a less-than-satisfactory dining experience elsewhere, I was thrilled to discover this gem just a short walk from my accommodation. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for enjoying hearty breakfasts with friends.
Great food. Were happy to swap bits in and put of my breakfast. Friendly staff. Lovely and quiet just the me time the doctor ordered!
Sammy J — Google review
This is an old-fashioned style of cafe which is sadly, to my mind, a dying breed. I am sure there are many folk who would much rather have a freshly-cooked meal or snack than something which has been sitting around in a breakfast buffet for hours on end. Anyway, I ventured here from the Premier Inn because there was a sign almost directly opposite my room to tell me it was there and, in any case, I really didn't want to sit in a very busy and horribly noisy hotel restaurant. This was just the job. A nice window seat to watch the world going by, a tasty breakfast roll, a filter coffee plus free wifi. FREE wifi!! (See my review of the Premier Inn for context). Excellent! Friendly staff and clearly very popular with locals and visitors alike.

Just when you think a company can’t get much worse... My daughter painted a ceramic frame back in April to put a photo in of our dog who had just passed away, we collected the frame when it was finished but with no glass or backing as it had been misplaced, we were told as soon as they could find them they would let me know. Our other dog passed away in May so my daughter was desperate to get her frame to put a photo of the two dogs in as she loved our dogs do much. After months of chasing I finally get told they would post it to me along with a refund. So today I open the package with not only the wrong size backing but no refund. My daughter was so disappointed and I am NOT impressed. Appalling service, no compassion and been told every excuse under the sun. 5 months is not an acceptable time to have to wait.

I love it here the kids get to make something and i get to eat cake ha! Our friends always gets my children vouchers from here for Christmas and we love to use them a few times a year!

Wonderful idea, come along to paint ceramic or paper mache objects, pay a set price for the paints and firing while each object has a price, starting low to high depending on what you pick. The best bit about it you can have a cup of tea or coffee with some cake. Plenty of tables down stairs or a large room up stairs for events and parties. Also a part of the #refill scheme so bring your water canister to get topped up.

Perfect little summer kiosk. Sells all the snacks, ice creams, hot drinks, bacon sarnies etc that you could want for. Coffee is from an automated barister machine which means it's consistent and I thought very tasty. Prices were good, I didn't feel at all fleeced by the location as it's often the case with such kiosks. Friendly staff, though a hint of stress as it's very early in the season. Have a good year guys. X
