I came here twice during my trip and absolutely loved it both times! The banana macadamia nut pancakes were amazing—fluffy, flavorful, and packed with macadamia nuts. I also had an iced mocha that was perfectly balanced and delicious. There’s plenty of seating, even for larger groups, so we never had to wait long. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Absolutely amazing! Highly recommend visiting here at any time of the day especially during live music. Lovely vibes, bilingual, happy and helpful staff. 10/10 would recommend coming here if you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere in the garden dining or lively environment at the bar. Seared fresh caught tuna was some of the best I’ve ever had!

We dropped in to Milagros because it was conveniently located next to some cute shops on the main road and were pleasantly surprised. The open air restaurant and patio has a very nice atmosphere, even on a rainy day. The service was quick and the food was good. Wonderful pork tacos, rice and beans and plantains on the side. Green smoothie and a capparinia were delicious. Decent prices and a cute little gift shop out front. It was great.

Stopped here for breakfast and was seriously impressed! The food was absolutely delicious, and the latte was so good I came back another day just to have it again. Service was fast and friendly, and we got our food quickly. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area!

The atmosphere is beautiful, and the food is delicious. I ordered El Tico with a side of extra crispy bacon (not pictured), which was 10/10. The side of bacon is enough for 2+ people. The iced coffee was nothing special, but the Vainilla Chilla Café Frío was delicious. Isaac, our waiter, was very friendly and attentive. Definitely would return!

Delicious food!!! The Caribbean chicken was delicious just like if you were in the Caribbean side of Costa Rica.

Needed a quick breakfast and stopped in here. There’s 3 parking spots right in front parallel to the road. We were immediately seated (we opted for the outdoor patio) and our drinks and food came quickly. I had a vanilla latte that was very good, and the mango crepes were delicious!! So flavorful, the berry syrup on top complimented them nicely but they weren’t overwhelmingly sweet. My boyfriend got “El Gringo” and it was a good, classic American style dish. I would absolutely come back here.

So good I had to go back again! Only in the area for a few days and have fallen in love with this place. From the outside, it is an unassuming sign for a coffee house, with an entrance tucked into a plain white building. You walk through the entrance and a place of magic reveals itself! Full of colour, a beautiful view, the best coffee and delicious food- definitely a place to visit!

Absolutely loved Emilio’s cafe!!! We stumbled upon this place and were amazed by the views right as we walked in. Every seat has a great view. If you plan to come for breakfast & get a seat for directly next to the overlook, try and get there before ~930am and you’ll feel VIP. Jose was our server all three times we visited and he gave us great recommendations on coffee and food. Cafe con leche “Costa Rican style” and Gallo pico tipico were our favorites.

Great food! I read about the coffee sirloin and it was delicious. The serving size was huge! I did not get to try the breakfast but heard it was good. They are open late compared to other restaurants in the area. Keep in mind they are closed on Tuesdays.

We had our first breakfast in Manuel Antonio here and it was so memorable that we made sure to have our last breakfast here too! The staff is unbelievably kind. Def recommend the tico breakfast to kick off your stay! Take desserts to go for your room - we regret not inhaling more passion fruit pie! We purchased coffee to bring home as well. And the bacon….as you can see we ordered it twice.

The view was impeccable. I got the Mexican Bowl. It was healthy, filling and tasted good. If you like spice, ask for hot sauce. It added a nice flavour to the dish

Emilios was the hidden gem in Manuel Antonio! Looks so unassuming from the outside, like a little moody coffee shop, but when you walk in, it’s vast and stunning! Amazing views and even better food! Highlights on the menu: Salmon Benedict chilaquiles Cuban Any dessert and any coffee. We loved Emilio’s! If we had found it sooner I’m confident we would have eaten there daily.

Jorge was a gem!! A great sense of humor, great service!! We ate here twice on our trip. They have the traditional cascades- which is rice, beans, plantain , salad with your choice of fish, chicken or carne. The fajitas were so good too! The happy hour is awesome.

Delicious food at a great price. Jorge our waiter was amazing. We brought a pineapple and he cut it for us! He was super attentive and make sure our table was well taken care of. Thank you Jorge!

Shrimp taco’s was excellent. Three really good stuffed tacos with a nice salsa from this part of Costa Rica. Casado is a little different than Casado from Caribbean side but still good as it fills your stomach and has a nice salad besides. Overall super place to eat tasty food with a lot of choices

Soda Sánchez is a true local gem! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional — the server and staff were incredibly courteous, friendly, and professional. The restaurant itself is spotless, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The food was outstanding and authentically local. We enjoyed the Lomito Pimento Verde and Filete de Atún, both bursting with fresh, rich flavors that highlight Costa Rican cuisine at its best. The mojitos were perfectly chilled and refreshing — a great complement to our meal. Prices are very reasonable, and the location is excellent — just a short walk from the pier. Overall, Soda Sánchez is a must-visit when in Quepos. Excellent service, delicious food, and a true taste of local hospitality!

Stopped on the way to Manuel Antonio. Friendly staff and great food, one of the few vegetarian friendly options in town. We had a veggie wrap (comes with fries), fish plate (typical costa rican plate with a piece of fish), mango juice and a pineapple juice. There's parking available, it just can be a bit tight if there's lots of customers.

A really nice spot for gelato in Quepos, with lots of delicious flavours. I tried the Snickers gelato and it was fantastic. Service was friendly and the prices were reasonable too.

Great gelato, great service, lots of flavor options! I got cappuccino caramel and chocolate— it was a perfect sweet treat!

It was ok ice cream and a little expensive for the quality. I got the coco tostado con dulce de leche and the torta chile a which was good. My wife got cookies and cream and the NY cheesecake both of which were icy.

Really bad service … they have like 20 flavors but only aloud one sample per kid and if you are a grown up you do not get to have even one sample.. I brought many clients and friends over to have am ice cream while visiting our local marina but I will not longer will be doing that. To bad to have a car experience in a place that is so visited by tourist

This place has the best ice cream and dessert! We went there three times during our stay. We got a nutella crepe, a slice of key lime cheesecake l believe ,coffee and ice cream. The place is super cozy and cute and the staff are super friendly especially Kathia she's a sweetheart.

Terrible service! Treated us like we were robbers and I felt like the girls wanted us to leave ASAP. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. We tried 2 flavors of ice cream. Maracuya was good but raspberry wasn’t. Expensive too. Not coming back

My wife and I shared a mango gelato and enjoyed it! I doubt it's authentic gelato, probably sorbet, but either way it was tasty!

Dont be fooled by the restaurant's sign (thats looks old) and the fact its small, it is the best restaurant ive been in costa rica. Great discovery. You have to try it! The owner is such a kind women, she tooks the time to great me. The staff are really attentive. I took the plantain tower. I would suggest to take only tuna. I mixed tuna and shrimp and the tuna was so good, j would have like to have only the delicious tuna. I also eat the oriental shrimp salad, which was fresh and light. The view is magnificient. Arrive early to choose your table (around 5pm).

Tostones with tuna were very good, the grilled tuna steaks were fantastic. The service is amazing and the staff will go out of your way to accommodate you. The owner told me that if I was not satisfied or liked the food I ordered, he would change it for something else which is very classy. You don’t hear anymore. Too notch. The views are magnificent.

Excellent food and view! We had the shrimp bruschetta and tuna tostadas and both were tasty. Then our main dishes were all very good The daily special of grilled sea bass with a passion fruit and blue cheese sauce was amazing, as was the lobster with seafood pasta special. The brownie and the bananas foster were great too. Not a single complaint !

A nice restaurant, good service and good food. They were busy and I overheard customers who were happy with their experience. I ordered takeaway and the service was fast. The manager was helpful spoke perfect English and was helpful. My burger was excellent, large (1/2 lb.) and the fries were natural cut. It definitely was a good restaurant with reasonable prices for the area.

If you want one of the best meals in Quepos, you have to come here! The place is small, but the food and the service are a plenty! The view was fantastic too! We came for dinner with 2 young children and they had a kids menu which was great for them.

The seafood stew was perfect. The menu was geared more like seafood and Tex-Mex. A good place to have a burger and some drinks. Great view too!

The view is beautiful. The food is okay. The buffalo chicken wrap was probably the best. We also had the Tuna Plantain tower. Not a lot of flavor. And the chicken fajitas to where the chicken was overcooked. The servers were great, drinks were good and views were magnificent.

Amazing staff.! I went as vegetarian during breakfast and i had a list of things to try in costa rica. I told them that i wanted to try platano gratinado. They specially made it for me, even though the dish was for lunch and dinner. Not a lot of vegan options but staff is very friendly and atmosphere is perfect. They also suggested me one more local drink to try even though it was not in my list and it turned out amazing.

We went to La Panera around 6am before we went fishing. It is the one bakery that opens early enough for break before fishing. The service was pretty fast. The OJ of course was natural, so delicious. The coffee was outstanding, I really enjoyed it.

The sandwiches is good here. Have them heated it up and the bread is warm and crispy. The pastries though is not good. They have potato, beef, cheese, chicken and a mix of beef/potato. However the filling is so dry. They also sell cakes, coffee, and small bottles of alcohol. Friendly service.

Hello, came here for an iced latte for breakfast/lunch but the lady at the front so rude. She added drip coffee to my iced latte and said espresso and drip coffee is the same thing. Either she doesn’t know espresso shots and drip coffee is different but regardless rude, attitude, and extreme bad behavior. I spent money on garbage. If you don’t want to work and provide good service then don’t work. Then she acted like we don’t have an espresso machine. I don’t know what’s wrong with her but if you are the owner please replace this lady. She doesn’t even know how to smile.

We came here twice the smoothies were so tasty! Guanábana, melon, strawberry, banana, so good! We tried the empanadas and they were good too. There were plenty of food options (from lunch options such as casados, olla de carne, to sandwiches, pastries and cakes). It seemed like a local place, not too touristy. The service was attentive and the price was reasonable. They have tables inside (and AC!) and a small terrace outside with a few tables too.

This place has lots of American products. The produce leaves a lot to be desired. The meat department is adequate. Employees are friendly and polite. The location is convenient in the center of town. If you're looking for something niche, they probably don't have it, but if it's a bottle of soy sauce or a jar of spaghetti sauce, they probably have it. My husband was happy because he was craving chips and salsa, and he couldn't find American Style (like Newman's Own or Pace) until he shopped here.

Great for whatever you need and convenient. Literally whatEVER you need. I was able to find sesame oil, pear-infused vinegar, fresh fish, beautiful produce, even a pie crust which was impossible to locate anywhere else. They are open almost all the time but their largest location is on the hill near pacifico colonial, so go to this one if you want to find something obscure.

A little pricier than a supermarket but given location and size this is to be expected. They have a huge selection and you can grab pretty much anything you need. Better beer selection than a lot of larger stores.

This place has everything and i mean everything. Prices are inflated a little bit due to the location but very convenient and they sell almost everything u can think of. I even found honey and pollen in there. Highly recommend.

Best coffee in Quepos. Buy your beans here at this local roaster, you won't be sorry! This is a true gem in town. This has been my go to coffee shop since I discovered them in 2018. The staff is friendly and exudes the true Pura Vida life. We are all friends over coffee! They have great mugs and beans are sold whole or ground.

A lovely gem in Quepos. Very friendly staff. I enjoyed an excellent cappuccino and also bought four bags of coffee and two bars of chocolate. You can grab a takeaway and walk across the street and enjoy it by the seafront!

My wife and little girl went here today. We often go to their other location, but were in Quepos today and wanted a coffee. I always order the French press with their Uno café as it is always delicious! I spoke with the staff today about their other coffees and I was interested to try their new Natural blend. I'm sat here now drinking it and loving every sip. Amazing service and easily the best coffee in Costa Rica. Not to be missed! Thank you.

They roast the coffee beans in house! It was the best coffee I have ever had hands down!! I got the Carmel mocha iced coffee 10/10! My husband got an iced latte and he loved his too!! They were so nice and it wasn’t really busy when we went but it also was 8:30ish in the morning when we went. 10/10 recommend

We came here for breakfast and were happy with the food! The portions are great for the price. The servers are all extremely kind and accommodating. No one here speaks English (when we went), but ordering in Spanish is really simple. I can’t remember the name of my meal, but it came with enchilada sauce on it and it was great! This soda does seem to close down early though (maybe like 7?). So you might want to hit it up for breakfast/lunch. They have coke products in bottles including Coke and Coke Zero (no Diet Coke, if you’re into that). Please like this review if it was at all helpful to you ☺️

This well hidden gem of a boutique/ coffee shop deserves to be known by ALL. It’s a unique, magical place that offers unique hand selected vintage pieces, dazzling jewelry, whimsical tarot cards and food for the soul. The owner Julie created a place that transpires good vibrations, art, eco-responsible clothing, delicious coffee and snacks (gluten free options). 10/10 would recommend.

Entering this cafe boutique is entering a wonderful universe filled with beauty. Have a banana latte and take your time in the jewelry section or the clothing section while chatting with the owner. The place is an experience on it’s own. I highly recommended it 10/10 !

I couldn’t rate the food as I got a cappuccino (not good, but does the trick). I’m a lover of good and quality coffee and this wasn’t it. I enjoyed the views and atmosphere of this place as well as next door at el avion!

Located on the main road leading towards Manuel Antonio National Park this is a perfect stop to grab some delicious breakfast before entering the national park. Make sure to try the banana bread and enjoy the view from the terrace over jungle and sea while enjoying your coffee. Opening times match the earliest time slot to enter the national park.

This place is attached to to avion and has pretty decent parking. The views are stunning and the coffee was amazing. The pastries were also delicious and really hit the spot with our coffee. To top it all off Katcia was great and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and made sure we had a nice time.

I had the breakfast burrito, which was fine but which I assumed came with coffee as in every other breakfast restaurant in Costa Rica. I had a second cup. When I got my ticket, my 3000 breakfast (I thought) was 6000. OK, I will pay for coffee, but you charge me for both cups? This is the first restaurant encountered in CR that does not give complimentary coffee refill. (I'm not talking about Starbucks or gourmet coffee shops). My recommendation: walk one block to La Costa Restaurant: 5 stars for a great breakfast at La Costa (including complimentary coffee refills).

The location is good, right by the ocean in Quepos. The service was warm and pleasant. Prices varied, but can be pricey. It was a pretty quiet lunch crowd. We ordered : 4*Kale and fruit smoothies: mild sweet. 3*ginger smoothies: s a bit spicy. 4*Mariscada= seafood plate for two: the portion was big, the market price was high. The food was fairly fresh and good.

This is my favourite restaurant in Quepos. The food is outstanding as is the service. The tuna wrap which is made with fresh tuna is so fresh and delicious tasting. The French fries served along with the wrap are some of the best I have ever eaten. Today I enjoyed the seafood pasta which was incredibly delicious. The carrot cake is worth the trip alone.

Food 7.5/10 Service 10/10 Atmosphere 8/10 A great lunch stop! We tried the fish tacos and chicken mango wrap, and both were good. The milkshakes and desserts were our favorite part though. We got the pineapple coconut milkshake and it was super yummy! Another person in our party got the pineapple smoothie and enjoyed it, but said it was basically just pineapple juice. The service was excellent. Our waiter was very nice and cleared our plates very quickly. The food came quickly when we ordered it as well. The restaurant itself is shaded and has ceiling fans, although no air conditioning. It felt nice to sit down in the fans and enjoy a good meal!

Had two delicious fish dishes, one fish tacos and one seared tuna with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The latter was especially delicious and unexpected with a really yummy sauce. The refreshing fruit drinks are also really well done with not too much sugar and great bursts of ginger. Super friendly staff as well. All round, recommended!

Tucked back off the road, behind the zip line. Park and take the trail back to the cafe and butterfly garden. So beautiful! Kind and welcoming staff. Coffee and cake was delicious. The full menu looked delicious but we had just eaten. Look out the side of the butterfly enclosure to see turtles and crocodiles. A nice way to spend some time.

Beautiful spot! If you’re in the area and you have kids or if you just want a little extra magic and beauty please add this to your itinerary. Tucked a little back away from the road, we went on a rainy morning. We ate at the outside bar/table and watched happy little butterflies flat by during an easy typical meal with hot coffee 💓

super good food and smoothies. reasonable prices for the portion. the only reason i am not giving 5 stars is the lady that i’m assuming was the manager (maybe) seemed annoyed at the staff and people dining. the gentleman that paid me out was very nice as well as the young lady helping with the other tables.

Amazing coffee, food, service, and atmosphere. Go for a bite or a coffee, and sit with the butterflies. See the crocodiles and take home some dessert for later. The Carlota de Limón is unbelievable. We will come back here for sure.

Magical coffee shop nestled in a butterfly pavilion. We loved their iced coffees and Frappuccinos plus the croissants which they heated for us. There’s a full breakfast menu but we opted just to do take away since we had young kids with us who found the butterfly area magical too. FYI, You take a little trail to the coffee shop after entering Sukia zip lining’s welcome area.

The butterflies are beautiful and make the visit worthwhile. Unfortunately, the coffee was disappointing. Nice spot for the experience but not for the coffee.

The most delicious French breakfast you can have! Must go if you are in Quepos! We had a French toast, an avocado toast with a side of fruits and everything tasted just perfect and looked the most beautiful! 🤤

We went on Monday morning Feb 24 /2025. The leftover pastries are far from fresh and the pre packed bread is even older and stiff with not price reduction. I was really excited to have a sourdough bakery in this area but unfortunately it's not quite up there, the quality of the bread is good but if you're a foodie you definitely want to have a bread that's freshly made specially with those prices. On another note, there were only 1 costumer in front of us and there were 2 cashiers, one looking at the wall and the other doesn't seem to know how to use the cashier machine. I know it's the " beach vibe" and you should expect a slow service. All this to say that this place and the idea is amazing and I wish you the best but maybe offer a discount for old bread or try to keep the bread in a place where it stays fresher due to the extreme heat. I loved the bread but unfortunately it's not fresh as you would expect on a Monday morning.

Our favorite! Truly decadent pastries are hard to come by in CR but this place delivers. Their breakfasts are also incredibly good and huge. We like their roast beef sandwich as well. And we buy their breads because omg sooooo yummy.

Stopped here on the way to La Fortuna for coffee, cheesecake, chocolate croissant and the Duo Avocado Toast which came with a fruit, granola and yogurt bowl…all were great. The absolutely delicious and unique carrot cake with blueberries stole the show for me. It was so good. The ladies who served us were very friendly, laid back, shared good information on the area and on La Fortuna, where we were headed. Good coffee and pastries!

Fantastic. Cute place, lady was very pleasant and nice. Ham and cheese panini was stellar and came with great potatoes. Our two pastries were fantastic.

Bread and backed goods are truly a treat. I’m only annoyed because this is the third time in a month that I have to sit outside till around or even after 8 am for the shop to open even though advertised opening time is 7:30.

Vista Bistro Café is an absolute gem! Gustavo and Zina are the heart and soul of this place welcoming us with genuine warmth and making every visit feel like coming home. I absolutely loved my visit to Vista Bistro! The coffee was fantastic—rich, smooth, and exactly what I needed to start my day. Such a wonderful stop on your way down the big hill and to the beach! A short walk with a wonderful view and delicious mochachino and pastries! We had to come back the same day for dinner the people and view were just too wonderful!
