We stumbled upon Ippudo near Ikeda Station while on our way to the Cup Noodle Museum and decided to stop for an early lunch and we're so glad we did! The shop has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The ramen was absolutely delicious, rich, flavorful broth with perfectly cooked noodles. It was a great experience overall, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re in the area!

My ramen was AMAZING!!! The broth was super flavorful with a small spice kick and the thick cut pork was oh so very tender! I got the Kiwami Akamaru (background in the photo) and highly recommend it for anyone visiting here. My husband goth the Chashu Karaka, spicy style (foreground in the photo) and he loved it. Also, their beer & gyoza set is an exceptional value!!

My favourite noodle place!! The broth is so nice and fragrant! The dumplings add a nice touch to it. Can't get enough of this noodles, I was still worried the pork taste will be too overwhelming, but there's no taste of pork!

Where do I begin?? Let’s talk about the establishment,…very clean, cozy and the vibe was jazzy. Service,…FANTASTIC!!! Server/Waitress was very kind and helped us with the menu. There was a short wait due to capacity but we didn’t wait long, maybe 5 minutes. The food,…no words to describe!!! Everything was PERFECT!!!! I had the Kiwami Shirimanu and the wife had Kiwami Karaka. The food was perfectly cooked. I have no words. If you’re ever in Osaka make sure to stop by and have some of the great food they have!! Establishment is near the Cup Noodles Museum.

So glad to have found this Ippudo joint after visiting the Cup Noodle Museum ( which does not serve food ! ) They have a variety of seating suitable for both solo and group visitors.

Ippudo Osaka offers rich, flavorful tonkotsu ramen with perfectly cooked noodles and tender chashu pork. The modern, welcoming atmosphere and efficient service make it a great spot for both locals and visitors. Reasonably priced and foreigner-friendly, it’s a must-try ramen experience in the heart of Osaka.

The best ramen noodles of my trip and I will be heading back to try different variations. This place is not hype and is one of the best reasons to visit Ikeda, much more so than the cup noodle museum. The broth is flavourful but not too salty like many locations, they do the noodles perfectly to your desired firmness, great portion sizes, the char siu pork is tender and delicious and the mushrooms and nori is delicious. Service is fast and they even have bibs for you if you are wearing something you don't want to risk splattering. This place is excellent and the reviews are not hype or people who are having ramen for the first time, Ippudo has a well-earned reputation!

If anyone goes there please note each person has to have an order. We only had one combo and the cook told us each person had to have an order. We got in late to Osaka and it was open woth some seats. The place is very dingy with the chef cooking the noodles right next to a garbage pail. To put it plainly the ramen is very average. Char sui lacked any flavor, the broth had no depth on either ramen. We went with the deluxe and a miso ramen. We had a mini combo and got their pork rice bowl as well which was we mediocre at best. I have a feeling they were using day old rice and the pork was under seasoned and dry.

This is a must try at least once ramen if you are in Osaka. Ordered the small bowl ramen and added egg. Portion was ideal! Totally recommend this ramen which is very different from the usual type I get back in Singapore.

A ramen shop a few minute’s walk away from the Den Den Town area. The place only has counter seats, and the queue is inside using stools that face the eating customers. I ordered their chuuka soba with extra meat slices. The bowl is the most aggressive soy sauce ramen that I have ever eaten. The spice from the fresh onion gives a good kick from the mellow yet dark broth. It reminded me of a ru rou han bowl from Taiwan but with noodles. I wish that the slices from the extra helping of meat was as thin from the one provided in the standard bowl, but that is negligible from the overall quality.

One of the best bowls of ramen you can get in Osaka, it’s a very unique taste that you can’t get it anywhere else! Not sure why there are so many reviews about the chef being rude, they were really kind and strict about the rules to follow as this restaurant gets very very busy. If you’re in Osaka you cannot miss out on this place! My recommendation is to arrive 15 minutes early as during 6:30pm there can be a long wait.

The most popular kind of ramen is a bit salty for my taste. Very soy-saucey. I’d recommend the salt ramen (chicken &fisn stock based). Limited bar seating available but everyone eats relatively fast so the wait is bearable.

Best ramen so far, this restaurant has won best ramen in Osaka for the past 10 years and we can confirm, it was amazing ! They also serve a homemade drink that matches perfectly the ramen broth.

If you order their beef tongue, they will give you garlic sauce + lemon which tastes very delish. In lunch time they have lunch package which is way more affordable. But in dinner time, their package is a bit expensive so better to order ala carte. In dinner time, their service is a bit slow as maybe they are not enough employee available. Everything including free water is ordered thru the ipad. We pay around ¥55.000 for 10 person + 4 non alcoholic drinks. It is quite expensive but for their meat quality, i think it is worth every penny. P.s. You need to reserve thru their website to secure your seat. especially during dinner time.

I've visited Japan 5x now, and everytime I will eat here. Honestly I don't get the bad reviews of this place, I always had a good time and the food is always quality. My first visit was 2013 up to now 2025.

We had a lunch set costing 3k something including tax. Kids lunch set around 1k. Meat was very soft and flavorful. We like the ambiance, staffs are nice, clean toilet. Their lunch set has soup, salad, side dishes, veggies for yakiniku and rice. We also ordered other meats.

This was my five star pizza place until my latest visit. I went during lunch and the proprietor had decided to stop serving pasta lunches and focus on his famous pizzas. They nicely provided an English menu alongside the Japanese one. I had the standard Kitsune Udon (¥750) and it was definitely great in taste but perhaps less in quantity as compared to the other bowl Ambiance and staff were very nice. Usually there seems to be a lot of waiting, whenever I cross the restaurant I see a line of customers, but surprising when we went around 12:30, it was quite empty.

Hands down one of my favorite Yakitori restaurants! FYI CASH ONLY! The atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff, and the food everything was spot on. I never had such a great experience with Yakitori until I came here. The food was so good that I came on two separate days and different times. In the afternoon getting a seat was easy, there were only a few patrons at the time and the staff were super friendly. We chatted and got great recommendations on where to go and what to do. In the evening is when it gets busy, we were lucky enough to get a seat but even with the high pace the quality did not change. The chefs make the dishes at such a fast and precise rate that every dish gets the attention they deserve. I would highly recommend this place for a quick bite in the afternoon or for a nice winding down after a long day.

They provide an ice cold towel upon seating and I saw other customers place it under the cold drink to keep the drink cold. Very smart idea. Chef is friendly and the dishes all come in quite a quick tempo. They open at 5pm and we visit at 5:15pm and there are customers dining already. Very reasonable price. Love it.

One of the best meals we had on our Japan trip! Everything was super tasty and freshly grilled right in front of us. We ordered chicken and chicken meatballs for our meats — they were so delicious we ended up ordering another round! We also tried the grilled onion, potato, and leek, all of which were super yummy. We ordered two of their BigMac-style burgers (called The Big Muscle) as it was my first time seeing one in Japan and wanted to see how it fares when compared to perhaps the most iconic burger of all time. The burgers arrived rather quickly, each having a small salad and a portion of fries. With a coke zero, each of our orders ended up being around ¥3000. The sides were good, the burger however felt a little dry and the patty needed more seasoning and a little less charring. Maybe more sauce? I need to come back later and get a plain old cheeseburger and see if the dryness was because of the extra piece of bread in the middle of the Big Muscle or not. Overall, an enjoyable experience and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
