One of the best dinning experiences ever, the food was amazing and the service was delightful.

We were greeted by a moody waitress who told us that we cannot sit inside because it's all reserved (while no one sat inside). Fine. We went to sit at one of the ~10 tables outside. 3 are free, each of them filled with remnants of the previous dinners. Fine. We sit down. We wait... and wait. A waitress comes and asks if the dirty dishes are ours. No greeting, no smile. We negate and she cleans the table without a single friendly word. Not so fine anymore. We order and after a while the appetizers arrive. Flavor was ok. Nothing special. Then, only 5 min later, the main courses arrive. Not fine! I told the waitress that I hadn't even started my appetizer yet and that because the main course was head cheese, it was gonna melt at 32C. Not apologetic at all she replied "I need to bring them out when the kitchen gives them to me". Totally unacceptable! The cooks need to get their timing figured out. Being a cook myself, I know what I'm talking about. Not sure what kind of establishment they think they run but in the HOSPITALITY business it's all about making the customer happy, not the cook. The waitress should refuse to bring the food out if it's not time yet and the cooks must learn to adapt their cooking. That's what culinary arts is all about!

Located just across the bridge from Görlitz, this restaurant has a full menu with many pizzas, pastas, as well as traditional dinner menu items. Meals are well presented, have quality ingredients, and are VERY reasonably priced. The steak seared on a stone at your table is delicious. And the pasta tossed in the fresh wheel of cheese is amazing.

Seriously, I’m not kidding this was one of the best Pizza I have ever had in my life. And I mean it. I’ve been eating pizza around the world but this kind of blowed my mind. And I’m from Finland where we have really good pizza. But this one here, hits the spot, and if you disagree you don’t understand pizza at all.

Good food. Nice staff. It did take a little while for the food to come, but two in our party ordered pizza. Interesting presentation of the buffalo mozzarella which tasted excellent. The tagliatelli with porcini mushrooms was also very tasty as well as the tiramisu. I would definitely come back here, but make sure enough time as the wait can be a little long.

One of the best Italian food I had in Germany. And the prices are cheap compared to Berlin for a better quality and taste. I'll be dining there every time I'm in Görlitz.

We had a fantastic pizza and pasta here; the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, and the pizza base was nice and crisp. A good selection of local beers as well; I would certainly go back here. They also had blankets to put on your legs for sitting outside when it got a little chilly. All 3 restaurants on this square get busy do don't arrive too late. Note all restaurants in Gorlitz seem to close at 10pm.

Food and drinks were delicious, however took quite a while to come. Not too many vegetarian and vegan options available, but everything we ordered was wonderful. Definitely recommend a visit!

This is a fantastic family owned restaurant with very nice river views. I stopped in late for a drink on my way from Warsaw to France and was welcomed warmly by Chantal. On the return trip, my wife and I came for dinner, and were welcomed by Chantal again. Unfortunately the staff was definitely the issue, they lacked hospitality and couldn’t really cope with everything. It took a long time to clean the table from previous guests. Ordered a bottle of wine, had to asks twice for a cooler. Also, they didn’t ask how the food was, just took the plates away and left.

Saturday at 20:45 no service because they are closing as there is no more quest! We could have been one! Really dissapp ointing..sometimes there is a reason that the kitchen closes at 21:00...but this? This was a joke!

Salad leafes have been already brown at the sides, Scampi and fish died a 2nd time and the potatoes (something like Gratin) looked like as if it was reheated already 3 times. Veggies were excellent. And service has to be reminded all the time, even there were only few guests. Do they do the desserts themselves? Looks like convenient.The creativity of the menu is nice, but it needs a bit more will to deliver quality (watch the details).

We visited Görlitz again last week and I am a big fan of the Emmerich Hotel, so I was curious to eat at this brand new restaurant! The location is with view directly on the market square and the design of the interior is very tasteful. The food was special indeed, the menu wasn’t too big which usually indicates quality. I had a soup and a main course, namely the Gado-Gado with excellent wine pairing. The dish was very fresh and with a delicious peanut sauce. We went to The Old Town Inn on our first night in Görlitz. We had a phenomenal experience - the service was fantastic, as was the food. We also enjoyed the local beer (Landskron Pils), and the dessert (blueberry filled dumpling with vanilla cream sauce) was a huge hit. Visited this resort as a guest, so I will rate the restaurant during the day time (not the hotel). Food was very basis and not so tasty. I would rate it at 3,5/5. The service at the start saw us, but without any reaction: the waiters just stood at the bar talking to each other without being busy with their duties (3 people). Later on, I called for menu but for 2 persons got one menu (facepalm). Later on I have realised that the waiter’s shift has changed and other waiters were better. So overall 3 out of 5. The location is perfect, however as a guest you have to park far from the hotel and walk downstairs a bit.

All natural materials, beautifully made. If you book a room that looks over the lake then you can view it from your bed and feel your troubles melt away. You can also relax in the library with a log fire. The restaurant caters for gluten free, vegan and vegetarian guests (we are all three!) with excellent breakfast options. We also had dinner here every night and were delighted by the chef’s creations. Splendid wine selection! The spa is beautiful with 2 saunas, 2 relaxation rooms, a swimming pool, foot baths and a steam room all set in a beautiful lakeside garden, with a stunning beach. Just a heavenly place with, strong awareness of nature and great staff. Thank you to all the staff :)
