My grandson turns 4 tomorrow. I came to this bakery in need of nut free cupcakes for the center he attends to celebrate with his peers. The atmosphere in this place is amazing makes you feel very welcome! The customer service is amazing and the cupcakes were a huge hit! I highly recommend this place! Thank you once again

I enjoy the food here. I come for breakfast dates with my best friend. I definitely recommend the morning pie. It's also a great dessert place. The chocolate chip cookies are amazing. And the red velvet donut holes are to die for. Honestly, the best ever. Service is pretty great too.

Delicious chorizo tacos, superb gooey chocolate chip walnut cookies, tasty dirty vanilla chai latte, quick and kind service and super honest pricing. Overall, a great place to grab lunch (and probably breakfast too).

They have some great from scratch, made to order breakfast. The morning pie was great with a light and flaky crust. Ours was a little dry since we ordered it without sauce but it was still great. Very friendly staff who were quick to offer to top off your coffee. They looked to have a good selection of house made cookies even though I didn’t try any.

A hidden gem in the downtown Bridgeport area. They have a wide selection of coffee, baked goods, breakfast food, and sandwiches. The staff is super friendly, and the prices are insanely low even despite information. I got a bacon, egg and cheese on a biscuit with orange juice for only $5.25. Tell me where else you can find that?!

After all the hype on google reviews and yelp i finally visited this place. I am soo not pleased with the outlook and the way its organized its quite messy the floor was sticky, not clean tables and scattered bits of food all over. I donno if they didn't have enough number of people to work or its just like that. Coming to food it was good but i had to go remind for my coffee again and again i got it after 20 minutes. I wouldn't recommend if someone is looking for a place to study as this place doesn't have electric ports anywhere nor any clean tables.

This was the first time I visited this bakery and I loved it. I ordered a birthday cake for my hubby and they did not disappoint. While waiting for the cake, I could not help but also buy some of their cookies and a mini cannoli that were being displayed in their pastry display cases. The cookies brought me back to a time when I was little and growing up in Brooklyn. The service was wonderful and the owners welcoming. My family will be buying their cakes and pastries from there from now on.

It’s pretty run down and my tiny shortbread cookies were $2 each and definitely not fresh. If you’re looking for service or atmosphere I’d skip this place. The woman at the front seemed annoyed that a customer was in there. There’s no selection in pastry’s so it’s basically just cookies and sub par at best.

Good food, but terrible customer service — especially when you’re ordering from out of state for something important. I placed an order last week for a birthday cake from Del Prete Italian Pastry. I called from out of state to make sure everything was in place for my mom’s special day. Unfortunately, Michelle, who took the order over the phone, was incredibly rude — dismissive and lacking any basic customer service skills. I let it slide, hoping the in-person experience would be better. It wasn’t. When we arrived to pick up the cake, Michelle was the one working. She questioned whether we were even at the right location, and when I mentioned I had spoken to someone named Michelle, she repeated her name back at me with attitude and brushed it off, saying, “Well, it doesn’t matter, we have extras,” before finally getting the order started — which we expected to already be completed. The cake itself was good, but the attitude and service we received left a bitter taste. If you care about how you’re treated — especially during a meaningful moment like a birthday — I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

My favorite bakery for the Italian Rum Cake it's the best in town we get it every year for my mother birthday 'Francis" (October 2nd) All the things they are are good I hope they open back up soon

Way overpriced. I got 3 orders: 8 cookies, 21 cookies, 4 small cannolis, 1 large cannoli, 4 mini pastries....$67! Outrageous...staff not overly excited to see new customers. Very drab, outdated store, looks like 1948. Pastries were a 7 out of 10. They tasted dry and leftover from the weekend. Cookies tasted a bit old. I will stick with the authentic Italian bakery in Hartford. Nor impressed.

In a search last minute birthday celebration knowing that my sister love canoli, order in the am. The most amazing Canoli Cake it was the outstanding in every aspect of authentic Italian Pastry... all guess where so quite went it comes to just enjoying this master piece. For sure these folks will be ordering at Del Prete Italian Pastry. Even that I had police presence during check ups giving away violations tickets mines was having my cellphone mount on my windshield that is obstruction even having a freshener Pine handling in your back up mirror is $200 fine. Is ridiculous, but this taste of this canoli cake took all that anger away, at least during the celebration 🎉.

Horrible Horrible Horrible service. Please go elsewhere. I grew up around this neighborhood and remember when it was a family friendly business. That has changed. That was the box they gave me (Pics). The look i gave the owner was of concern. I questioned it but was reassured it would be fine. I called back but was met with hostility. Then she lied to me and said I never paid for a cake box. I was never offered a cake box! For $100 cake I would think it comes with it.

We ordered a rum cake for my dad’s birthday. We said on the outside, we wanted half the chopped almonds and half the chocolate shots, not chocolate chips. The worker on the phone kept saying chocolate chips, and we kept saying no we want chocolate shots (at least 3 times this happened). We picked up the cake today and thought everything would be correct. But nope. We opened up the box and it had chocolate chips, not chocolate shots like we said multiple times. We couldn’t go back to the place because we don’t live close by, so we said whatever we’ll just try it, despite them messing up the cake order. It tasted like a regular cake, and not a rum cake. We didn’t even taste a single bit of rum in it. We called, and the only way they would do anything for us is if we went down and brought the cake back, which we couldn’t because we don’t live close by. If you want an actual rum cake and want what you actually ordered, don’t go here.

Honestly incredibly underwhelming. Everything tasted stale.. I ordered an eclair, cream horn, cannoli, fruit tart, and donut. The cannoli and fruit tart were especially stale tasting.. but the worst offender of them all were the cupcakes with rose on top. They were INEDIBLE. They tasted like poison. There was so much dye taste in the frosting and the cake itself was so old tasting. For me to not eat a cupcake says A LOT. Such a waste of money I’m still mad about it.

ordered s rum cake... WAS HORRIBLE Told the girl on phone the outside half nuts and half chocolate shots. She said chips I said NO NO i can't eat chocolate chips. picked cake up it had chocolate chips on it. Not chocolate shots. No rum taste. cake was very sweet. the chocolate filling tasted like heavy pudding. Not the fluffy rum cake filling. Threw cake in trash. couldn't even get a credit. worse cake i ever had. won't go back there

their breakfast sandwich is good– classic and hits the spot for a good price. The custard cup and donut are pretty good too. Just a heads-up: go for the small donut, the large ones tend to be undercooked and doughy inside. I’ve also had a muffin ring go moldy overnight, so yeah... it’s a bit of a mixed bag. Set your expectations right – nothing fancy, decent prices, but sometimes you’ll run into undercooked or old stuff.

I ordered a rum cake for my mom's birthday which you had to order a day in advance and pay in advance when I went to go pay in person they spelled Mami wrong then when I picked up in person the next day they didn't have what I asked them to write on it the girl asked me did I not want anything written on it I said I clearly told them what I wanted on it she took the cake out the box and wrote what I asked for. My mom was very disappointed with the cake she said it didn't taste like rum cake and said it was bad.. never again will I order from them. They can't even spell or get the order correct

I purchased 2 slices of cake one lemon , one chocolate moose , I was some excited to eat them only to cut and they were hard . The cakes taste like they have been sitting for weeks. It was not fresh tasting nor did it have a good taste. At one time this bakery was very good but seems that management has changed along with presentation of items. Will not return !

Bagel King in Bridgeport makes some seriously tasty bagels. The flavor is always great and they’re fresh every time I visit. My only tiny gripe is that some bagels can be a bit on the chewy side. Not a dealbreaker at all just something I notice after a few bites. Still, they’re way too good to pass up, and I always leave happy.

Super busy bagel shop with a huge variety of bagels, spreads, sandwiches, pastries, etc. Fast, efficient service. Nice decor inside with a few tables inside and out but no table service. My bagel was excellent and stuffed with cream cheese. Good coffee too, all reasonably priced. Minus a star for the floors and tables, all of which needed cleaning. Bonus drive-through.

I had not been here in about 15 years, but I am glad I had the opportunity to patronize. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese on everything bagel.. also bought the chicken salad and a banana muffin w nuts.. all which were very good. The young lady at the register was very pleasant.

Work in the area and I can’t tell a lie. I’ve ordered this same sandwich for about 2-3 weeks now… and they have NOT missed. Amazing steak and cheese!! I’ve also had their grilled chicken sandwiches, BLT, regular bagels, banana-nut muffin. Everything is solid. Great small business owned by a local family.

The bagels are absolutely great, but for some reason I can't eat them the next day because they turn hard as a rock. So while fresh there are some of the best bagels you can have but I'm not quite sure how to save them so I can have some the next day for breakfast. I even put them in Ziploc bags but it didn't seem to help. I might have to get a vacuum sealer machine. Bagel King if you see this post please let everybody know how to keep your bagels fresh past the initial purchase so we can buy more than a few and keep them for a few days. 🙂

Went in this morning through the drive thru. 2nd customer of the day. I asked specifically for 2 Turkey egg white and cheddar onion bagel sandwiches. 3 times! When i got to the window she said steak egg and cheese. She said to me” i asked you 3 times”. I was so upset. The cooks don’t know so i blame the woman at the front. Someone else left out upset too. Guess i didn’t miss coming here. Charged for a bagel but had a Portuguese roll. Smh. If u don’t like the job leave!

I was helped by a friendly young lady who made my order exactly the way I wanted it.And I am kind of picky.... I asked for an iced coffee with very specific instructions.And she followed them . Absolutely perfectly, as for the bagels top notch, I live in brantford, and I will take the 40 minute drive, just to have these particular bangles...

Authentic Mexican bread, really great taste, I love their cubiletes and conchas, good service.

Very nice baked goods made from Mexican and Spanish recipes. It is so much fun looking at all the different goodies which not only look beauriful they taste great too ! Prices are quite reasonable. It is very clean and a pleasure always.

They are extremely friendly here! I was a little hesitant about ordering from their bakery because it is primarily Hispanic and I am not. After talking with the baker, who was very friend and talkative, he put me at ease! He took my ideas and drew them out carefully! I can't wait to see the finished product!!

The most creatively designed cake I've ever seen!! A little boy in my class had his birthday today and his dad brought in this Mario and Luigi (Super Mario Brothers) cake with the characters driving on a racetrack! It was a Tres Leches cake that was utterly delicious; light and moist. I recommend this bakery to anyone who wants a delicious cake with a major WOW factor!!

The best mexican bakery in Bridgeport, and all area... If you need a cake for wedding, sweets 16, Quinceanera, birthdays... Any activity, any theme this is the correct bakery... Made the all traditional Mexican pastry, bread, sweet bread, 3 leches(milk) cake, and delicious filling... With real Mexican hands workers and owners... Good prices, fresh, and excellent quality!

I recently dined at this restaurant with my friends and I really liked the food. Our server was friendly and attentive.The ambience of the restaurant also contributed to a pleasant experience.

This is a nice place, a little tucked away, but off the main road. I've eaten here a few times with friends. The food is pretty good. Lunch specials are a real bargain. The atmosphere is very pleasant as is the service. It never feels too crowded. Parking can be tight, but i've always found a spot.

I reserved a table at Luigi's restaurant via Google assistant and it worked great. We got a nice table at the window a little separate from the main seating area. The service was nice and friendly and we didn't have to wait long to order. They offer a variety of typical Italian food on the menu like pasta, pizza, risotto, seafood, etc. We had a good bottle of Malbec from Argentina and ordered calamari as appetizer. As main course he had the broccoli gnocchi and eggplant lasagne. Both was good but didn't quite have the Italian touch that we expected like fresh parmesan and basil or garlic olive oil for instance. The ambience was nice but again we missed some Italian music or little details in the decoration. I think these are the small differences that differentiate a good Italian from a great one. Overall we were happy with the experience and definitely recommend it to someone who doesn't have these expectations of an Italian restaurant. However, I think little improvements here and there can go a long way.

We had my father memorial lunch Luigi's. We didn't give them much notice (has happens with these things) and we had a big group (31 pp). The staff did a great job. We arrived 30 minutes earlier than expected but they made room as quickly as they could. The food was good, the atmosphere was good, the staff was so great. Nothing to complain about! Also, their olive oil is actual liquid gold. My favorite course was the bruschetta. Followed closely by olive oil and bread. 😉😉😉 But I also don't eat meat, but I heard the chicken was delicious as well!

Luigi’s is a great place for pizza and Italian food—everything is fresh and delicious and the staff is always warm and welcoming. It's our favorite place for family gatherings. Always a great experience!

This would be my typical good Italian place. I got a bunch of different apps, entrees and pizza. Pizza was the best. I would eat here again no problem. I just felt there was nothing that stood out and made me say "wow".

Food was absolutely amazing. Dessert was awesome. This was me and my husband's first time in Connecticut celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and this was by far one of the best places we have dined at and we travel almost every weekend. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Could not ask for a better experience.

It is a true Brazilian haven. The pastries are authentic and delicious. They have a market and bakery. The cakes, bread, and salgadinhos tasted delicious. Definitely coming back when I am in Connecticut. If you are looking for a piece of Brazil, come here!

I like this restaurant, I only don’t like that it is not in a very safe area (near a prison) and around two hours before closing, there are employees that only speak Portuguese (not even Spanish), but overall, it was pretty good (especially the bacon) and I even learned some basic phrases in Portuguese!

We lived in Black Rock years ago and recently stopped in Billy’s to pick up some cupcakes and pastries. They were hard as a rock. Clearly baked days ago. I will not go back.

We had to get a last minute Birthday cake and they handled it well, they spelt a pretty uncommon name right which meant they took notes and it tasted good. Maybe slightly less frosting but I know that’s an American thing. Customer service was great and cake was ready when we picked it up 30 minutes before agreed upon. Also bagels and croissants are good!

I used to love this place but as soon as ownership changed, so did the quality of the goods and spirit of the shop. The owner is rude and abusive to her sweet, hardworking employees. Mice and droppings are found regularly throughout the shop, even close to the food. I have been lucky enough to be buying a loaf of bread when such discoveries were made. Lucky me. Only select items are made fresh every day. Cakes, cupcakes, buns, etc are kept in cases or baskets until sold or molded. My neighbors brought home cupcakes and when they went to eat them, they were hard, dry, and somehow molded all at once. Please, I beg you, stop cutting corners and bring back the lovely little bakery we used to love!

Girl I came all the way from NEW YORK to this bakery and omg. The prices were unbelievable to me in a good way because the quality of these baked goods.... everything is so fresh and taste amazing. The presentation is so beautiful. The staff is so caring, patient and friendly. I had no idea how to make my coffee and they happily helped me. Prices are all on display. This place is amazing.

Good old fashioned bakery with really good butter croissants! Flaky, buttery, layered, a proper croissant. Not like Donut Inns laughablely dry hamburger roll masquerading as a croissant. The bagels, while not 100% authentic par baked are also very good.

I’m new in CT so I was so loss looking for a bakery. I’m so happy I came across this shop. It’s very clean, everyone is very friendly and the cake and treats I purchase for my engagement party was great. Everyone including myself loved the cake.

I was able to procure a tres leche cake same day and have it customized to my specifications. The service was friendly and informative on what would works based on the type of cake and frosting. I’m very pleased with my experience and would definitely return for any future purchases of cakes.🎂

First time buying a cake from here and I’m so impressed! Got a small strawberry shortcake cake to celebrate my mom’s birthday. I wanted it very simple and white. The taste of the cake is so good. It’s the right amount of sweet. Not overly sweet and the perfect amount of strawberries. The price of the cake is a steal for the quality. Absolutely recommend and I will definitely be coming back :)

The bread terrible, cold , was supposed to be warm , crispy and fresh, they told me the bread is made now a 3 am , the baker is the same, bla, bla , so sad , I ask for a pound of mortadella, when I get home , I found out I get only half a pound, but they charge me $7 for a pound,,👎

Great little bakery. Deli to make sandwiches or take deli meat to go. Fresh baked bread and goodies along with some grocery items and drinks. Great for a lunch sandwhich spot. We go frequently.

I had the Bana pudding donut and it was absolutely delicious. They do have a big variety to pick From .I will have to ask hubby to get me more . The service was excellent . Of course we need to support our small business since in all honesty the food and desserts are authentic and made with a caring heart.

These donuts are delicious. They're so fluffy, fresh, and melt in your mouth good. The owner is very friendly and I received excellent service. I picked up a 4 pack of donuts that were all filled with vanilla and / or chocolate. Both flavors we great. Happy national donut day.

When you walk in, you may think they are out of donuts but they aren’t! The lovely owner will make the donuts fresh to order! I ordered 4 donuts and it took about 5 minutes until they were handed to me. Absolutely delicious and beautiful donuts. 10/10 recommending this to anyone wanting a donut in Bridgeport!

If you want a SOFT, FRESH donut come nowhere else but here. I never write reviews, but I had to for these. The donuts were as soft as an Italian zeppole. I got Nutella, S'mores, and Powered Sugar and they were all delicious. The chocolate was not dark, but instead milk chocolate that melts in your mouth which I highly preferred. Service was slow, but I believe it was because they were making them fresh in the back. I will be back, and believe me... I try a bunch of places and never go back!
