Ice cream shop
Natale Pasticceria, established in 1999 near the central Piazza Sant'Oronzo, has become a historic brand constantly evolving. With around fifty flavors including creams, fruit gelatos, sorbets, and granitas, it's a must-visit spot. Their chocolate offerings are diverse with options like rum, chili pepper, and more. Additionally, they offer regional specialties such as Pasticciotto flavor and Maria d'Enghien gelato.
One of the best gelatos that I've ever had! Staff are so nice and would help you if you ask for the suggestions. The Ficchi was my favorite!
Ali R — Google review
All I can say is wow! Don't walk, run to Natale and try their pistachio ice cream. It's incredibly creamy and bursting with flavor! The staff is very friendly, and there are plenty of seating options available. It's a fantastic place to enjoy a sweet treat, whether it's day or night. Their other flavors are amazing as well!
Luana P — Google review
We got here by pure chance after eating at least one pasticciotto every day during our trip. I can confidently say this was the best one I had. It was the perfect mix of creamy and crumbly. not overly sweet and overall incredibly satisfying. It was so good we even went out of our way to go back and purchase one of the overly priced T-shirts… no regrets! The only downside is its price, at €2.20 a piece it definitely was on the expensive side in comparison to others in the region but so worth it.
Nicolas A — Google review
Had the “african coffee” and a brioche, which comes with 3 flavors. It was very good both of them. The service was very nice.
Niclas M — Google review
The best gelato I had so far in Italy. And huge portions. The service was also very sweet and helpful.
Przemysław B — Google review
Absolutely great ice cream! A lot of special kinds to get here with support from the friendly staff. For 3€ you get the “small ice cream”, which are two big scoops. The pastries look good as well, but we have not eaten any.
Johannes R — Google review
Stick to their pistachio flavor and you will not disappoint. It is rich and creamy, not too sweet. As someone who travel a lot and tried many gelatos in different places, I can say their pistachio flavor is among the best I have tried. The berry flavor however, is a bit too sweet and I don't recommend. Their waiting line is a bit disorganized - you need to get a ticket first before you can ask for any flavors, which is not obvious for the new customers. If you don't have a ticket then you get kicked to the end of the waiting line, and waste a lot of time.
Skywalker F — Google review
A wide variety of delicious ice cream flavors – I loved it a lot! The pasticciotto is the best in Puglia – it's truly something special and a must-try! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Pastry shop
Martinucci Laboratory - S.M. di Leuca is a popular chain with various locations in Salento. It offers a delightful range of options for coffee, gelato, lunch, or quick snacks. In addition to its delectable pastries like the traditional Pasticciotto from Salento, it serves alcohol as well. With all outdoor seating available, it provides a cool and pleasant ambiance for everyone to enjoy. The establishment boasts an extensive selection of sweets and other treats too!
Nice spot for a quick stop. The combo caffe leccese + fruttone is a must. We had the fruttone with lemon and almonds, and it was the best we tried while in Puglia. The staff was also really kind and efficient. If I recall correctly, we spent 2.40 EUR for each caffe leccese, and 2.20 EUR for the fruttone.
Martín S — Google review
The best place for coffee and food in the area. There’s not a lot of places around so that definitely contributes. Go with the Pecan Slices, maple syrup was excellent.
Lift_Run_Eat_ — Google review
Great Ice-cream / Gelato. Pay for what you want and then take a ticket to get served. It all seems a bit confusing, but it is a great system and it works well. The flavours are crisp and delicious. Very cost effective.
Jonn S — Google review
One of the best places I’ve been to! They have a huge variety of sweets. We tried the Cornetto con cioccolato, Tiramisù, and cappuccino, all taste so delicious. Also, we tried the pizza, which was delicious too. Moreover, the atmosphere is amazing they have options to sit inside or outside. Totally recommend it 🤌🏼✨😍
Dina S — Google review
Favourite place to have breakfast in Santa Maria de Leuca! Must order pasticciotti every day!😅
Liza B — Google review
Great place for some cornetti and a coffee. Huge selection of sweets and other stuff too! Plenty of seating under the shade and in the sun. No complaints at all, very convenient.
Atma K — Google review
Superb pastry with also salty bites! Love it!
Nenad — Google review
Another day, another Martinucci. Like spotting a McDonald's in the Vatican or a Starbucks in the Sahara, it’s oddly comforting, and mildly disappointing. This one has all the right pastries and all the wrong vibes. It’s like they tried to recreate the charm of Salento and accidentally opened a cafe in Terminal 2 instead. Yes, you’ll get your coffee. Yes, your pasticciotto will arrive. But you’ll feel like you should be boarding a Ryanair flight rather than sipping espresso by the sea. It's not quite as "corporate soul vacuum" as some American chains, but it's got that same slightly sterile, on brand ambiance (with less attention to detail, or the mop...). Perfectly adequate. Entirely forgettable. The culinary equivalent of shrugging.

The pastry shop Martinucci Laboratory is a great place to get delicious gelato and cakes. They have an impressive selection of flavors, and their unique recipes make for some delicious desserts. The staff are friendly and willing to help you find the perfect bite.
We had fun relaxing here and enjoyed our server, the fantastic Francesco! This is a great place to sip a beverage as you look into the main touristy plaza and maybe also get some food or a gelato! Reasonable prices. Lots of outdoor seating. VictorB

During the last 2 weeks in Lecce we visited about 4 times the Martinucci pastry shop (but who's counting?). The pasticciotto was absolutely impeccable every time, we tried the chocolate one, the pistachio-cream one, but the traditional was our favourite. The cannolo and fig pastry were also delicious, they went great with the caffé leccese.
Fanni K — Google review
The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was excellent, truly top-tier in both taste and hospitality. However, I was extremely disappointed by the state of the restroom. For a restaurant of this caliber and price range, having such poor restroom conditions , including no running water to wash hands , is simply unacceptable. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as it really impacts the overall dining experience.
Aladdin A — Google review
The best coffee in Lecce - hands down. Clean bathrooms, well stocked and atmosphere is incredible. Staff are helpful and spoke English very well.
Christine D — Google review
Diffictult to order since it's crowded but once you do you get to enjoy some of the most fulfilling tastes of ice cream. You can choose from a variety of flavors. I remember getting about 6 scoops (chocolate, caramel, tiramisu, ferrero, pistachio and coconut I think.) There is a terrace with old fashioned tables and chairs (metal) where you can observe the main square. I noticed that this place was getting some sort of occassional police checks but overall a positive experience.
Pavle R — Google review
I do not recommend this café. The staff was rude and unfriendly. We were handed the menu but didn’t even have time to look at it — the waiter stood over us waiting for an order immediately. The ice cream was served in a broken glass (!) — very dangerous, you could easily cut yourself. The matcha latte was completely tasteless. The waiters don’t care at all about customer satisfaction. They know tourists will come because of the convenient location, so they make no effort to create a pleasant atmosphere — on the contrary, they completely ruined our experience. The waitress even mocked us for what we wanted to order, so I opened Google and showed her a picture of an iced coffee with ice cream, because apparently this woman didn’t even know what that was and claimed it wasn’t possible to get it there. An absolute disaster. Thank you, never again.
Ivana K — Google review
We stopped for coffee and pastry. Having visited other Martinucci locations, this location was great, and both food and coffee were better than elsewhere.
JED — Google review
All we have tried during our three visits was of great quality. But watch out when you sit down and order something that is usually of a good price. We ordered a portion of gelato with two flavours and whipped cream which came down to 12!!! Euros and another cup with two scoops of sorbet which we were charged 5! Euros for. Next to us people eating on tables with gelato ordered at the counter for 1/3 of the price. Not cool.

Pastry shop
Pasticceria Andrea Ascalone, located in Galatina near Lecce, is a historic pastry shop that has been operating for over 280 years. Legend has it that the famous pasticciotto pastry was invented by Andrea Ascalone, a pastry chef from Galatina in the mid-18th century. The shop's interior exudes old-world charm with its checkered flooring, chandeliers, and displays of various pastries.
Art can be conceived in many ways ... This is the real Art of the south. The one and only. When the past meets the present. Only Ascalone's can be called real Pasticciotti. The rest Is noise!

Originator and still best pasticciotto in the land. Why do I like this place? They make their pasticciotto in only the traditional way, cream filling, no coffee just pastries, and family run for ten generations (since 1745).

Nestled in the heart of the city, Pasticceria Luca Capilungo is a must-visit for pastry lovers. Known for its unique take on pasticciotti, this charming bakery offers a delightful twist with a secret custard recipe that owner Luca refuses to disclose. The pastries are baked to perfection, achieving an irresistible golden crust that balances crunchy and crumbly textures. What sets them apart is their distinct baking method, which introduces subtle bitter notes alongside sweetness.
Came 20 minutes before they closed and they were busy with lots of customers. I wish slightly that I had come earlier when the pasticciotto was fresh. The crust was thicker than I preferred but the filling was great.

Amazing Pasticciotto and Burgundy under one roof? Really something special. Luca and his team serve the finest pastries and great coffee in a friendly and efficient manner. Surprisingly, there are also coolers of high-end wines and bubbles that you might check out. I scored two bottles of White Burg to change things up. But maybe get a Gaja and pair it with a great aged steak from across the street!

Coffee shop
Pasticceria Pinti is a charming Neapolitan bakery located in Lecce. Despite its non-local origins, it offers an impressive array of Neapolitan cakes and sweets that are sure to delight any dessert lover. The interior features a simple yet tasteful design with neo-antique Italian furniture. Visitors praise the reasonable prices and wide selection of pastries, including chocolate pastries, cream puffs, meringues, and more.
I stumbled upon this café/pastry shop and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. From the moment you step inside, you can feel the warmth and effort the owner has put into making the space welcoming and cosy. This same care is reflected in the quality of their pastries. I ordered a coffee, a Nuvole, an apple tart, and a large coda di aragosta "lobster tail" filled with chocolate and crema. The Nuvole was slightly dry for my taste, but since it’s similar to a brioche, dunking it into my coffee made it just right. The apple tarte was served beautifully warm, and the coda di aragosta was delightfully fresh, crispy, and perfectly croquante. The service was both friendly and efficient, adding to the overall experience. Just keep in mind that on weekends, they tend to get very busy, so service might slow down a bit. All in all, it’s a charming spot worth visiting.

Very cute and very cozy little cafe, with good variety of cookies and pasties. They have sitting outside and inside. People were very nice and patient. But the cookies tasted too sweet to us, Great location

My favourite pasticcerie in Lecce. There is really big choice of pastries all kinds. Even at 22h, they are fresh and warm. Honest recommandation for this place! The service is amazing, no matter how crowded the cafe is, but special thanks to Italian charming man who works there and had a patience to explain the creams in pastries every night we come 😂 Thank you very much, we will come again when we visit Lecce next time 🩷
Beca S — Google review
Really nice ambiance, a cozy spot you’d expect from a good pastry shop. You can choose your own cornetto filling, which is a fun touch. The pistachio one is pretty good, though the prices are a bit on the high side.

Martinucci Laboratory is renowned for its delectable ice cream that leaves a lasting impression. Visitors rave about the rich and creamy texture of the ice cream, with generous portions offering great value. The Amarena and Nociolla flavors are highly recommended for their creamy and flavorful profiles. In addition to exceptional gelato, Martinucci also offers fresh and delicious pastries like pasticiotto in various flavors such as lemon and cream.
Hard to imagine how anyone could give this place less than a 5 star review… I suppose during the summer season it’s probably packed, so maybe the service is slower. I did find it a bit confusing on how to order, but once I asked someone, they were very helpful and cordial. The amazing offerings of pizza, focaccia bread, endless sweet treats and excellent coffee left me with a memorable experience. The beautiful and tasteful decor and artwork, as well as the artistic lighting added to the enjoyment. Plenty of outdoor seating, as well as two areas of seating on the second level on both sides. Highly recommend for for sweets, coffee, or a nice meal of Italian pizza or other dishes!

If you are going there for breakfast at the table be armed with patience as it takes forever to make an order. We decided to take it at the bar therefore. There, service was fast as typical Italian. Croissants were not uncooked as I mentioned to the staff who just took them and sook their shoulders. Pasticiotto was average. Do not recommended.

TERRIBLE! Waiters are rude, there is no feeling of organisation in this establishment. The waiter didnt give me my check after i payed with card, i didnt even aknowledge the beep sound of the cashless payment he alreayd just rushed off inside the cafe. Once i saw him exit again in the terrace i asked to bring me the check , he said “enter inside to take it”. Needless to say to say the waiter rudely after went inside with me and rudely smashed the check in my hand. Is not that i needed the check so bad, it is the principle of the way the waiter had acted all time during service.

The eclectic selection of flavors such as white chocolate with saffron and almond or dark chocolate with orange has received high praise from patrons.
Wow what can I say! We went for coffee and a pastry for breakfast. Whilst there we decided to grab some sandwiches to take back to the apartment for lunch later that day! The staff were really helpful and spoke basic English which helped us out. It’s now our go to place for breakfast whilst in Lido Marini

Best bakery in this part of the world. Lots of choices for baked goods, breakfast and lunch. Many locations just about in every small town.

Really like this place. Lovely setting and even more so the food.

Best gelato in Puglia! Great choice of flavours - all delicious! Also good for coffee, pastries and salads

Love this place, amazing pastries (pasticciotto, ice-cream, you name it!), being in Salento for over two months now and came here almost everyday :) I can’t give 5 stars though, as I find extremely disappointing still receiving water in plastic cups and seeing AC ON with open doors. Unacceptable in 2020 from a successful chain as Martinucci that should be an example.

Staff never seem very welcoming and I have been quite a few times. Not sure I will go again when there is so much choice down here.

Dolci Tramonti is a charming café located on the seafront, offering a delightful experience with its covered veranda and sidewalk tables. It's known for its delectable pastries, cakes, biscuits, and ice cream. The Pasticciotti is particularly recommended by visitors. While some find the prices slightly higher than other establishments in the area, many appreciate the extensive array of bite-size foods offered during aperitivo hours at reasonable prices.
Gluten free and lactose free Pasticciotti were so good, I was so happy to be able to try it on this trip. They also have soya milk available for coffees etc. Staff seem to know their stuff, was a great little breakfast!

Dropped by Dolci Tramonti for a late dessert and were seriously impressed. Huge selection of pastries and gelato — we went for the tiramisu, zeppola, and an affogato with lemon ice cream and limoncello. All were spot on. Service was friendly and welcoming, with a relaxed vibe. We sat outside — great atmosphere and a perfect end to the evening. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Very nice ice cream. The Dubai chocolate is highly recommendable. They had lots of other interesting sweets, too, but we didn’t try those.

We was here for breakfast. Prices are fair, staff is really nice, coffee was good. We took pasticciotto and two other sweet pastries - everything was delicious. I recommend to anything sweet here.

We came to this place looking for ice cream and we found a true hidden gem! An entire pastry factory. I even think they make their own chocolate. Amazing! Ice cream was so yummy!

We found here Dedicated people with a big love for chocolate/all things sweet that appreciate the customers and make them feel like home. Salvatore's shop deserves top rating and you'll do yourself a favor trying his Almond Syrup, ice cream, truffles and Salentino Coffee (to name a few of the stuff we've tried). Gotta mention that he's really attentive to children as well - that's a big plus is out book.
