All I can say is wow! Don't walk, run to Natale and try their pistachio ice cream. It's incredibly creamy and bursting with flavor! The staff is very friendly, and there are plenty of seating options available. It's a fantastic place to enjoy a sweet treat, whether it's day or night. Their other flavors are amazing as well!

We got here by pure chance after eating at least one pasticciotto every day during our trip. I can confidently say this was the best one I had. It was the perfect mix of creamy and crumbly. not overly sweet and overall incredibly satisfying. It was so good we even went out of our way to go back and purchase one of the overly priced T-shirts… no regrets! The only downside is its price, at €2.20 a piece it definitely was on the expensive side in comparison to others in the region but so worth it.

Had the “african coffee” and a brioche, which comes with 3 flavors. It was very good both of them. The service was very nice.

Absolutely great ice cream! A lot of special kinds to get here with support from the friendly staff. For 3€ you get the “small ice cream”, which are two big scoops. The pastries look good as well, but we have not eaten any.

Stick to their pistachio flavor and you will not disappoint. It is rich and creamy, not too sweet. As someone who travel a lot and tried many gelatos in different places, I can say their pistachio flavor is among the best I have tried. The berry flavor however, is a bit too sweet and I don't recommend. Their waiting line is a bit disorganized - you need to get a ticket first before you can ask for any flavors, which is not obvious for the new customers. If you don't have a ticket then you get kicked to the end of the waiting line, and waste a lot of time.

During the last 2 weeks in Lecce we visited about 4 times the Martinucci pastry shop (but who's counting?). The pasticciotto was absolutely impeccable every time, we tried the chocolate one, the pistachio-cream one, but the traditional was our favourite. The cannolo and fig pastry were also delicious, they went great with the caffé leccese.

The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was excellent, truly top-tier in both taste and hospitality. However, I was extremely disappointed by the state of the restroom. For a restaurant of this caliber and price range, having such poor restroom conditions , including no running water to wash hands , is simply unacceptable. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as it really impacts the overall dining experience.

The best coffee in Lecce - hands down. Clean bathrooms, well stocked and atmosphere is incredible. Staff are helpful and spoke English very well.

Diffictult to order since it's crowded but once you do you get to enjoy some of the most fulfilling tastes of ice cream. You can choose from a variety of flavors. I remember getting about 6 scoops (chocolate, caramel, tiramisu, ferrero, pistachio and coconut I think.) There is a terrace with old fashioned tables and chairs (metal) where you can observe the main square. I noticed that this place was getting some sort of occassional police checks but overall a positive experience.

I do not recommend this café. The staff was rude and unfriendly. We were handed the menu but didn’t even have time to look at it — the waiter stood over us waiting for an order immediately. The ice cream was served in a broken glass (!) — very dangerous, you could easily cut yourself. The matcha latte was completely tasteless. The waiters don’t care at all about customer satisfaction. They know tourists will come because of the convenient location, so they make no effort to create a pleasant atmosphere — on the contrary, they completely ruined our experience. The waitress even mocked us for what we wanted to order, so I opened Google and showed her a picture of an iced coffee with ice cream, because apparently this woman didn’t even know what that was and claimed it wasn’t possible to get it there. An absolute disaster. Thank you, never again.

We stopped for coffee and pastry. Having visited other Martinucci locations, this location was great, and both food and coffee were better than elsewhere.

All we have tried during our three visits was of great quality. But watch out when you sit down and order something that is usually of a good price. We ordered a portion of gelato with two flavours and whipped cream which came down to 12!!! Euros and another cup with two scoops of sorbet which we were charged 5! Euros for. Next to us people eating on tables with gelato ordered at the counter for 1/3 of the price. Not cool.

Originator and still best pasticciotto in the land. Why do I like this place? They make their pasticciotto in only the traditional way, cream filling, no coffee just pastries, and family run for ten generations (since 1745).

You do not only have to taste the PASTICCIOTTI but all the other biscotti as well - otherwise you might miss something. Hint: amaretti!!

very good gelato, BUT this year they have cut down on the portions massively. I come to Lecce every year with my family, but now a grande cup is actually a medium to small one from the past. We will definitely choose another Gelateria. It's not the cost that bothers us, but that we are fooled with carefully aerated and measured cups as if you steal it and don't buy it

Gorgeous gelato with a range of both traditional and more unusual flavours made on site. My son went for chocolate and straciatella, which was delicious: I had pear with hibiscus and black olive with orange - both absolutely divine!

It was a 5 stars two years ago, it became 4 last year, I am afraid it’s only a 3 stars now. Of course it’s my personal taste, but the base is too milky, killing the flavours. Prices have gone up more than the competition, considering how little the portions are. I hope next year Baldo will go back to its glory.

Excellent. Great selection of gelato and friendly staff. They have all the usual flavours that everyone seems to stick with, but they also have some daily and weekly specials. We went for an olive gelato, very unusual but quite delicious.

Amazing Pasticciotto and Burgundy under one roof? Really something special. Luca and his team serve the finest pastries and great coffee in a friendly and efficient manner. Surprisingly, there are also coolers of high-end wines and bubbles that you might check out. I scored two bottles of White Burg to change things up. But maybe get a Gaja and pair it with a great aged steak from across the street!

We got here at 6am right when they opened after one of the worst b&b experiences of our lives. We were met with kind and friendly service and it was such a relief. Good coffees and pastries!

Well earned reputation as one of the best in Lecce. Seems to be always busy which is a good sign. Good selection of crostata which are perfect for bringing to someone‘s house when invited for dinner.

My favourite pasticcerie in Lecce. There is really big choice of pastries all kinds. Even at 22h, they are fresh and warm. Honest recommandation for this place! The service is amazing, no matter how crowded the cafe is, but special thanks to Italian charming man who works there and had a patience to explain the creams in pastries every night we come 😂 Thank you very much, we will come again when we visit Lecce next time 🩷

Really nice ambiance, a cozy spot you’d expect from a good pastry shop. You can choose your own cornetto filling, which is a fun touch. The pistachio one is pretty good, though the prices are a bit on the high side.

Very nice place with wide variety of pastries to choose from. I tried two types on pasticciotto and some small pastry with pistachio cream and all was very tasty. In sunny day they have a great external area to sit and find a quite moment in busy day

Stopped by for an afternoon treat and loved it! They’ve got a super convenient system – order from the screen and pick it up right away. Tried the pistachio and classic pasticciotto, the classic was really good. The Lecce-style coffee was excellent too. Definitely a must-try if you’re in the area!

The best pasticceria I know in Puglia, you will not be disappointed. There are plenty of options to choose from. They even accommodate for GF and DF intolerances. It is usually busy but it is well worth visiting. The staff are efficient and it is clean too. There is a large seating area with a view of the sea. I highly recommend everything here!

All products we tried as well as the view were fabulous but the service has been borderline outrageous. After ordering ice cream with my two Kids with This unbelievable guy behind the Counter we couldnt really enjoy and of it. Hands down Never felt treated so rude

Delicious pastries, service can be friendlier and queues can be managed better

The ordering system makes no sense. It confuses everything and makes it so the order got messed up every time we went even though I translated it to Italian and had the lady read it as to try to make it clear. All the staff look miserable and talk crap about you when you ask for the correct order. Food was good though.

If you are going there for breakfast at the table be armed with patience as it takes forever to make an order. We decided to take it at the bar therefore. There, service was fast as typical Italian. Croissants were not uncooked as I mentioned to the staff who just took them and sook their shoulders. Pasticiotto was average. Do not recommended.

We ordered 2 ice tea and the waiter gave us 2 japan ice tea, we didn’t know what is was. As luck would have it, a japan ice tea cost 8 euros…

Unfortunately we had lunch here. Had to wave several times to staff to get a menu. We should have realized then. Eventually they pointed to a QR code being irritated. Well we irritated back saying the QR code didn’t work for non Italian numbers. Anyhow finally ordered and some items didn’t arrive. Food was ok but nothing to write home w. Naturally all items we didn’t get were added to the bill… Not very smooth

One of the few places with a wide variety of delicious sweets and snacks. Prices are slightly higher than other places. Service is almost non-existent, if we can even call it that. Nevertheless, it is definitely worth visiting for the food and desserts, despite the poor service. ---

Very tasty pasticelotte and good coffee

TERRIBLE! Waiters are rude, there is no feeling of organisation in this establishment. The waiter didnt give me my check after i payed with card, i didnt even aknowledge the beep sound of the cashless payment he alreayd just rushed off inside the cafe. Once i saw him exit again in the terrace i asked to bring me the check , he said “enter inside to take it”. Needless to say to say the waiter rudely after went inside with me and rudely smashed the check in my hand. Is not that i needed the check so bad, it is the principle of the way the waiter had acted all time during service.

The Tiramisu was amazing, absolutely recommend if you crave for a fabulous Tiramisu

Love this place, amazing pastries (pasticciotto, ice-cream, you name it!), being in Salento for over two months now and came here almost everyday :) I can’t give 5 stars though, as I find extremely disappointing still receiving water in plastic cups and seeing AC ON with open doors. Unacceptable in 2020 from a successful chain as Martinucci that should be an example.

Staff never seem very welcoming and I have been quite a few times. Not sure I will go again when there is so much choice down here.

Beautiful little spot right on the coast, with a boat taxi to the island right opposite. We had a brief early lunch. The food was excellent. Service was standard and because of the time, it wasn’t very busy so atmosphere was typical. They had a lovely range of deserts, but we were too full after the lunch to try them. Parking was an available fairly close by.

I went to Bar Principe three times during the four days I spent in Porto Cesareo. Highly recommended. The ice cream left me speechless (pistachio and fior di latte), as did the pasticciotto with cream and the one with pistachio. The staff is very nice, the bar is clean.

Very good ice cream, although a bit expensive. We paid 11 euro for 1 water, 1 cone with 3 flavors and 4 flavors. The size was big. They also had lactose free/vegan options.

Simply the best place to sit drink eat watch people go by and later the sun go down over the harbour sea. Nice food generous drinks and the best ice cream parlour next door. Could not be better.

I had a very unpleasant experience here last week. After paying for my ice cream at the counter, I placed my phone on the small counter where payments are made. I then went outside to sit down, but within just a few minutes I realized my phone was missing. I immediately went back inside and checked near the ice cream freezer and all around the area where I had been standing. I also approached the owner (the lady in charge where I pay ), but didn’t ask her right away, assuming that if I had forgotten my phone there, she would mention it. The place was quiet, with only a few tables occupied, and there was no one else paying during that time — so it was impossible for her to have forgotten who had left the phone there. After sitting outside again and thinking it through, I was certain I hadn’t misplaced it anywhere else. I went back inside and directly asked the owner if I had left my phone there. She quickly said no. I asked again and insisted, also inquiring whether there were cameras in the shop. As soon as I mentioned the cameras, she spoke briefly to someone in Italian and then pulled my phone out from behind the counter ,without showing any emotion or regret. This experience left me very disappointed and uncomfortable, especially considering it involved the owner herself and how she handled the situation

Nice environment and cocktails, I took a moscow mule which was well done, however I paid 27 euros for two cocktails while on aperitivito time! Found it quite overpriced for Italian standards…

Stopped in for a gelato and this was by far the WORST customer service we’ve experienced in two months in Italy. No one even acknowledged us for several minutes and we were one of the only customers in the place. We even tried to get their attention and were ignored. Such a horrible experience I will never go back and recommend you find another place to visit.

The worst customer experience in 3 weeks of Italy. We ordered a couple of ice creams inside and sat in the outdoor patio to eat them, when we were rudely chased away by the waitress telling us that tables on the outdoor patio were reserved for “table service customers only”. It’s worth noting that there were multiple tables free as she did so, the restaurant was not busy at all, so they didn’t really need the table for someone else. She could have asked us whether we wanted to order anything off the menu before chasing us out. We were actually planning on ordering a couple of capuccinos as well, but after this, we decided we did not want to be this venue’s paying customers any more. What sort of place treats their own customers as less because they didn’t order from table service? Worth noting as well that we have tried gelatto all over Amalfi, Puglia and Sicily, and this was by far the most bland gelatto we’ve had. The gelatto was not even close to as flavoursome or soft as from other places like Gelatteria Fisoti (also in Otranto). Do yourself a favour and skip being treated badly by rude and unprofessional staff for the sake of a below-average gelatto.

9.00 euros (!) for two tiny, tiny pieces of cake and the right to sit at a table. While the taste was good, this is preposterous. Also very hectic atmosphere. Service was stressed and rather unfriendly.

Grab a rusticco, fried calzone or a frise with tomatoes if you want something salty, and of course ice cream and cappucinos are great here too. I used to come to martinuccis for the lemon meringue pie too but unfortunately that has lost quality this year, they changed the base or keep leaving it too long out so its now dry and sad (there are many martinucci across puglia and I try to eat lemon pies in all of them xD)

Be aware that this spot gets very busy at times which can mean a bit of waiting. It shows that the gelato is very popular and rightly so, the wait is worth it as the gelato is incredible. Nocciotella, Nocciola and cafe leccese are my favourites.

Dropped by Dolci Tramonti for a late dessert and were seriously impressed. Huge selection of pastries and gelato — we went for the tiramisu, zeppola, and an affogato with lemon ice cream and limoncello. All were spot on. Service was friendly and welcoming, with a relaxed vibe. We sat outside — great atmosphere and a perfect end to the evening. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Great place to refresh and have a nice cup of cappuccino with tasteful chocolate mousse, I really recommend the gelato 🍧 over here. Great service, friendly and most importantly quality and taste.

Located on the sea front promenade The food is reasonably priced and you get great service. They mussels are a great deal. And you get complimentary three lemon cello as a tasting.

Very nice ice cream. The Dubai chocolate is highly recommendable. They had lots of other interesting sweets, too, but we didn’t try those.

We was here for breakfast. Prices are fair, staff is really nice, coffee was good. We took pasticciotto and two other sweet pastries - everything was delicious. I recommend to anything sweet here.

Much smaller than the branch up the road in Lido Marini and correspondingly smaller selection of ice creams (some more sorbet options would have been good). But friendly service, great location and some excellent cakes.

We were here for breakfast. The croissants were very good, and the cappuccino too. The croissant with pistachio creme is so special. The waiters were kind, but they didn't speak English very well.

Standard Martinucci stuff so it’s decent and good. Two stars because this enormous place with a huge bathroom had absolutely no soap or gel to be found propio nel mese quando i casi positivi stanno salendo! Uff!

My experience was horrible, we chose to sit at the terras instead of taking our ice cream with us. Had to pay 1 euro per ice cream for sitting there. For what? I mean we took our ice cream from the counter to the tables ourselves. A scam in my opinion!

The pistachio gelato is very good! Very different from the usual taste found in Italy. The “Gallipoli” gelato is also very good!

The food is amazing and the service people are great. The place is at the shore so one can sit outside and enjoy his meal witha nice sea breeze. A pity that the music is often so loud, that it can be challenging to talk to eachother.

The best place for coffee and food in the area. There’s not a lot of places around so that definitely contributes. Go with the Pecan Slices, maple syrup was excellent.

Great Ice-cream / Gelato. Pay for what you want and then take a ticket to get served. It all seems a bit confusing, but it is a great system and it works well. The flavours are crisp and delicious. Very cost effective.

One of the best places I’ve been to! They have a huge variety of sweets. We tried the Cornetto con cioccolato, Tiramisù, and cappuccino, all taste so delicious. Also, we tried the pizza, which was delicious too. Moreover, the atmosphere is amazing they have options to sit inside or outside. Totally recommend it 🤌🏼✨😍

Another day, another Martinucci. Like spotting a McDonald's in the Vatican or a Starbucks in the Sahara, it’s oddly comforting, and mildly disappointing. This one has all the right pastries and all the wrong vibes. It’s like they tried to recreate the charm of Salento and accidentally opened a cafe in Terminal 2 instead. Yes, you’ll get your coffee. Yes, your pasticciotto will arrive. But you’ll feel like you should be boarding a Ryanair flight rather than sipping espresso by the sea. It's not quite as "corporate soul vacuum" as some American chains, but it's got that same slightly sterile, on brand ambiance (with less attention to detail, or the mop...). Perfectly adequate. Entirely forgettable. The culinary equivalent of shrugging.

Clean and cozy. Desserts are on sweet size. Price is very reasonable. Service is a bit slow… overall it’s a great place for snack or icecream!

It’s an amazing gelato and caffe type restaurant but we more enjoyed just sipping hot or cold beverages outside looking at the main plaza in the ample outdoor seating. Big beers for little money and nice wine by the glass for under 10€. Really liked the outside vibe for adult beverages and the indoor modern ice cream options ! VictorB

Gelato in the old town of Lecce. A great gelato with such a large variety of flavours. A great coffee and cale too. Defiantly a place to grab your daily gelato fix

Service is very slow although we stayed inside. Had, tiramisu and mouse lecesse. They were too sweet and nothing special. Had much better tiramisu in Romania. Its ok, but not wow. Edit. Bathroom is awful. Prices differ if you eat in. Tiramisu 2.5 but price at the table is 3.5. obviously not mentioned anywhere

It was so good that we came twice. Once for a gelateria treat and a second time for lunch. The Ice Cream is perfect and the snacks are good enough. Service is quick and they also serve draft beer. Too bad we had loud Belgian tourists on the table next to us.

Finally, we found a place in Italy where we could sit comfortably without worrying about extra charges for the table or service. We had some focaccia, good coffee, and delicious ice cream sundaes — all at reasonable prices, unlike many other tourist spots. Everything was perfect, including the staff, who were professional and didn’t try to overcharge us. The service was quick, and the prices matched the menu. This is the kind of place I’d love to visit again — and where I’m happy to leave a tip when I’m satisfied.

Brilliant service, very accommodating of our limited Italian and staff spoke some English as well which was great. The ice-cream itself was absolutely divine and all signs were very easy to understand with some also having English translations. They had a wide variety of desserts aswell not just ice-cream including crepes and cakes which all looked delicious, although we only indulged in the gelato ourselves. Overall a really good establishment and tourist friendly.

Nice place to grab a quick lunch. Good is fresh and good and the prices are quite fair. Only cons: they are very few vegetarian options (basically only vegetables and potatoes) and they have few stocks so come early if you want to have plenty of choices !

The place is open almost all day without interruption, you can find typical food home made, bread, pastry, ice cream, cakes, drinks. The food price is a bit expensive for 100g but you can taste various things. I mark 3 stars for atmosphere and service because you pay a surcharge to sit outside, unacceptable.

It’s the perfect spot on the Gallipoli Main Street for a relaxing yet entertaining break. Sit down for a rich “aperitivo” and enjoy the people, the air and this fantastic town.

Christiaan was a friendly waiter. The waffle with ice cream was lovely and the chocolate cake also. We were a bit surprised by the drinks; the freddo cappuccino turned out to be a coffee cup filled with coffee ice cream. The frappe was also more ice cream than coffee. Good to know when you order this. I am sure some people love it, however for us it was a bit too sweet all together.

I’m an avid fan of hot chocolate and this is probably the best one I’ve had in Italy. It’s made of dense and high quality chocolate. The ice cream was also really good. A place for gourmets.

Best Pistachio Ice cream I have had in a long time!

Probably one of the best gelatos I’ve ever had! The quality is excellent, and the price is very reasonable for what you get. You can choose from three types of melted chocolate to coat your cone before adding the gelato—such a delicious touch! I’ll definitely be coming back to try more flavors and their crepes, which also looked amazing. A must-visit for chocolate and gelato lovers!

This place is not real! Don't come inside if you are not ready to try half of the pastticciotis at peast. I admire to the people who are able to choose one or two flavours. I took half 😂 They are all amazing, I just did not like one- the one with truffles but not because of truffles. That one (in my opinion) has too much cocoa and it's kind of bitter. All other flavours are amazingly good, especially all sort of pistacchios 🤤

Overrated to say the least. After a 50 minute wait we got a couple to take away. Hard as bricks. Nothing compared to the soft and crumbly pasticciotto we had in traditional bakeries (the ones that only have one / a few flavours). I guess it is not possible to keep a high quality with a queue of 50+ people outside AT ALL TIMES.

I usually give high rates. But sometimes I visit place which shows me that something special is needed for 5*. And this is one of extraordinary places that well deserves 5*. Pastry here is delicious, ice cream is awesome and service is on high level. I can only recommend to stop here, make a choice and enjoy in great taste.

Delicious icecream, about 15/16 flavours. Very tasty and fresh. You can also eat pastries, we didn't try that yet (next time). Inside tables available. In the meantime we tried the tiramisu, it was very tasty, an airy cake and good in taste.

I came here this evening for an "aperitivo" with friends. The town, the weather, the ambiance, were perfect tonight, so we expected a fine service at the famous Martinucci. We asked for a bottle of Rosato but there wasn't any. This was a first blow to our expectations because Salento is renowned for rosato wine. In the end we ordered a bottle of white wine and the waiter brought us a bottle of Bombino, not bad at all. The wine and the food came along, with fine "rustici" and other nice appetizers. But we were seven of us and another bottle was needed. We asked for another bottle of the wine we ordered but the waitress brought us a bottle of a different wine without any explanation. When we asked why the difference, she told us that the wine was the same with a different bottle. The wine was different (a blend of Fiano and Greco) and undoubtedly worst. The bottle was also old, with sediments on the bottom... We can't say that the overall service was bad. The food was ok and the first bottle was fine. The price was ok too. But the question is: why a bar with a famous name doesn't have a full choice of local wines on a sunday evening? This is difficult to understand...

I'm not a huge gelato fan but this place is the only one I have made a point to return to the next day because it was so good. The dark chocolate with orange and the salted caramel were superb. I also had the lemon granita and while it was a little more sour than expected, it was really refreshing! I highly recommend it.

Our ice creams were good. The pineapple was excellent but the Stracciatella with banana wasn’t good - the lumps of banana weren’t nice. My husband had the triple chocolate, that was lovely too. We had two small scoops for €3 which is really good value for the quality of the gelato.

Gelato is to die for! My Mother and I found the flavors to be so rich and divine. While the classic flavors are absolutely terrific, they offer a diverse selection and even had a ricotta flavor and a cucumber flavor. I cannot believe they make flavors like these taste amazing! I came here mainly to try the pasticciotto, but sadly, the experience didn’t live up to my expectations. I ordered a double espresso macchiato along with a ricotta chocolate pasticciotto. The coffee was quite average, almost watery, and the ricotta in the pasticciotto was too dry for my taste. The service was slow, but the worst part was sitting outside. They use steel chairs on cobblestone, so every time someone moved or left their seat, the noise was really loud and distracting. If you decide to visit, definitely try to sit indoors!

Scam! They made us pay 50% “bar service charge”! We ordered two cappuccinos inside at their bar, for EUR 1,50 each according to their menu. The waitress told us to sit outside, she would bring our order. The cappuccinos were fine, but when we walked in afterwards to pay the total of EUR 3 (plus a tip, of course), the super unfriendly guy behind the counter demanded EUR 4,5 - thanks to a ridiculous “bar service charge” which none of the cafes we visited during our 3+ weeks all over Italy (and there were many!) ever dared to ask! Unfortunately, we only saw later from the many bad reviews here (filter for “lowest score”) that this is the usual scam of this place. Well, we’re in town for a couple of days, and this bar will certainly never see us again. If you consider visiting Caffè Parisi, better stay away and choose one of the honest bars in Nardò!

I used to really enjoy Martinucchi, but something has changed—drastically. The staff are completely uninterested, and you end up with different products than what you actually ordered, all at inflated prices. It feels like a bait-and-switch, and you leave feeling cheated. Last year, this place was much better, but now it seems like they’re running on some kind of over valued reputation. The attitude from the staff is as if they’re serving high-rollers in Puerto Banús, while treating regular customers like we just pulled up in a battered old Skoda. Disappointing.

Hi had an amazing breakfast today there with my family. We enjoyed outside the zeppola, the pistaccio pasticciotto and some other sweets. The pasticciera cream was really tasty but the Nutella pasticciotto was not exactly as I was expecting...

This quaint shop in a small town comes with the high costs and poor service one might expect from a big city, but without the quality. The only advantage is the lack of competition from other patisseries in the immediate area. However, a short trip to Lecce reveals far superior patisseries offering both excellent products and service.

However, my recent experience at this particular shop was disheartening. Despite patiently waiting in line, when my turn arrived, the staff member chose to attend to a customer behind me instead. We drove all the way here from Gallipoli seeing they have almond croissants but arriving at 10:30 on a Sunday we were told they were sold out! :( Really disappointed as almond croissants are so hard to find in italy.
