Regular local place, simple homemade food without much experience. The food was tasty, the good side is that you can try a bit of various dishes. Unfortunately the price is very high for the local prices and most likely you will be brought here by the tour guide. No menu and no written prices. The guide told us it would be around 6$ but we paid over 7$ per person. Lady even decided to give us less change and we had to pay explain she got her math wrong. The issue is that local food doesn’t cost much, such prices are in more fancy settings. Also, I don’t like when there are animal in the restaurant. I LOVE cats and dogs but people don’t consider that some people have bad allergies sometimes because of animals and some just don’t like them! Let the animals stay at your home or nearby, not the restaurant tables

Variety of ingredients so you can put together your rice dish with vegetables (for me, im vegetarian, there are a lot of options) and they also have meat. The girls who works here are very sweet!

A must-stop if you want to enjoy very well-made homemade food, the lady is very welcoming to tourists and explained to us what we were eating. Like it or not this is the authentic Sri Lankan culinary experience

We had no idea what we were going to have for lunch and asked our guide to take us to a local Srilankan place. And, oh boy, did he choose the right one!! You get to taste authentic Srilankan cuisine here. They have a lot of vegetable based dishes along with non veg options with the best ambience and homely touch to the entire place. After a quick hike to Sigiriya rock, this was the much needed treat we never knew we needed! It’s a must visit place when you’re around Dambulla, SriLanka. Give it a try and let me know if you felt the same!! The price is slightly on the higher side with about 1800 LKR per plate.

Very nice local buffet restaurant with cold drinks as well. Friendly owners, they explained all dishes, the spicy ones and not spicy ones. Most were a little spicy or not at all, so perfect for us… we also tried the spicy ones a bit. All were very tasty we could serve ourselves several times. At the end we were talking to the owner and showed us the long hair that she did not cut since 20+ years and she treats with king coconut oil. For 7 persons and with soft drinks, 13.300 LAK (40$), quite ok.

We had (twice) a very good dinner with amazing Sri Lankan food at a good price. Can definitely recommend going there. We would have gone there for every dinner if we stayed longer.

Sakura Village house is a good food place. All there good types are without any added flavors. No additives at all I feel. Feel nutritious. But the taste wise I feel it’s not that tasty. And for a person who need spicy taste. Was not a fan of the taste of chicken or fish also. Rest of the curries were good but still no spicy at all. Staff and the atmosphere is really good and friendly also the service is also good. Highly recommend for people who don’t like spicy food 😊

If you’re hungry from your hike at the Dambulla Cave Temple, then your meal after should be here. It’s about 5-10 minutes outside of town where it’s way less hectic and has more parking. The food is fantastic, it was some of the best rice and curry I’ve had in SL. The stuff is extremely nice, personable, and they make sure that you’re always taken care of. Most of the staff speaks English so there is no barrier there, and get to know them they’re great people! I will make it a point to be back here again the next time I visit!

We had a very good lunch here, a wonderful range of choices from the buffet. Lovely what the team can do with vegetables - different herbs and tastes. Wonderful for a veggie like me! Needles to say the people are kind and loving. We had a great break here during our trip.

Amazing place with amazing staff! Food was delicious. The restaurant is in a buffet style, so you choose and take exactly what you want, no matter how much of it, you pay for a plate, which is a little less than 2000 rupees. We did not know anything about food, so the owner told us everything about every part of the meal they were offering. The restaurant is also open for fresh air and has a beautiful view of the rice field. I recommend this place to everyone who appears somewhere near! Greetings from Czechia!

Good food. All you can eat buffet. Very friendly family-owned establishment. Workers were constantly greeting customers and asking feedback. They also explained the different dishes. Roughly 2000 rupees per person. They do charge 2.5% for card payments

Very delicious Sri Lankan food. Had lunch buffet and palm sugar curds. Food is not too spicy, just nice. Restaurant overlooking padi fields, comfortable and great scenery. Will visit again.

A good spot for tourists to enjoy a nice meal in a clean, quiet and well maintained facility. The staff are friendly, efficient and communicate well in English. The menu has local, chinese and European food at quite good prices. We enjoyed a chicken sub along with fried rice and Thai chicken. We had a little wait for the food but we knew that it was being prepared from fresh and not simply reheated.

This place serves the worst food we ever had. You will be better off just getting some bananas. No taste, just lots of pepper. Seafood fried noodles was just instant noodles with some carrots. Absolutely disgusting , don't eat there! You will be hungry, but seriously Don't do it! Also we received the bill while we were still eating!

Very friendly people and amazing food with good prices. You can write something on their wall which looks super cool and the entire restaurant was super pretty! We ate upstairs on a cozy balcony the first time and ate downstairs the second time and we loved it!

After a long day of travel, my friends and I are here at the recommendation of a friend. This was our favorite meal of our entire trip. We each got the special curry and rice. All of the dishes were so good and there was a great array of flavors. You can also get more of any one of them. The prices are very affordable. The staff was lovely and happily helped with a dietary restriction. If you are traveling in the area, you should stop here for a great meal!

Firstly, they were partial towards white people and didn’t bother to serve us. The restaurant is super over priced! 1000 LKR for a mixed fruit juice, how can they even justify it 😖 We still ordered Sri Lankan rice and curry and sandwich. They served alot of curries to us with rice, the eggplant and raddish one was good but few of them had a lot of oil in it. The sandwich was very basic, toasted bread with cheese. The overall experience was not great at all. Please don’t spoil your time and money going there 😵‍💫

In search for authenthic Sri Lankan’s taste we came to this charming restaurant and were not disappointed! The curry was beautifully served and amazingly flavored, the fried bananas for dessert were just perfection! The owners were very welcoming and kind enough to offer us a ride back to our hotel. Very very good food! We’ve eaten here twice and will eat here again. Very good portion sizes and they rotate the vegetable curries so you get to try something new. Me and my girlfriend both ordered the vegetable curry and they brought out 10 different dishes for us to try, such good value. Great quality and quantity! Highly recommend!!!

Based on my experience, it's a great spot for both food and tea ☕🍴. 🚗 They also have ample parking space available, which is a big plus for anyone driving in. 🙂 The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall pleasant experience. ​We had an absolutely fantastic meal here. The Sri Lankan rice and curry spread was incredible, with a huge selection of curries, salads, soup, and a whole bar dedicated to sambols.😇. The dessert bar was the perfect finish, and it's all such great value for money. The open air dining area is beautiful, and the service from everyone, from security to the restaurant staff was truly wonderful👍

Stayed during a recent visit. Cleanliness needs improvement, and staff responsiveness was quite slow, reception calls took a long time to answer. Food was somewhat okay. Suggest reviewing staff dress code, as the current attire may be uncomfortable and affecting their efficiency. Hope to see improvements in the future.

We stopped by this hotel for lunch and opted for their higher tier buffet priced at LKR 2,500. It offered a wider variety compared to the LKR 1,500 option, and we found the food to be good value for money. However, one disappointing aspect was the lack of consideration shown when we requested a finger bowl for a senior guest with mobility issues. Instead of accommodating the request, we were asked to walk and wash our hands, which was not ideal. This small gesture could have made a big difference in customer satisfaction. Aside from this, the overall experience was pleasant. With some improvements in customer service, this place could truly shine. Cheers!

Stopped at this place for evening coffee on our way to Colombo. It took hours for them to serve Coffee for 7 people. So sad to see this kind of a service as I had better experience with them last time. I believe they are under staff or their attitude towards local guests.

So far the best food place in Sri Lanka I‘ve been to. We even went there two times because we liked it so much. We also got invited to watch Sheyan cook the dinner and we felt very welcome due to the nice talks with Sheyan. We got to know some interesting things about Sri Lanka. This is a hidden gem in the forest. Highly recommend. It is a great value for money. The service was excellent, the people are friendly and if I had not done it before they offer cooking class too. If you are in Sigiryia, you should pay a visit for a meal :)

Lovely family restaurant with a buffet, 7 different curries (chicken, eggplant, lentil, pumpkin, beans etc.) and rice, papadam and a great herb salad. The service was great, really accommodating. The prices are more than reasonable, huge value for your money. One of the best curries on the island, highly recommend it.

We visited the golden palace restaurant because of it’s good reviews and it was such a nice experience. The rice and curry dishes were so delicious! The whole atmosphere is what you expect from a home cooked dinner as you are staying in the local house and it‘s beautiful! This was a great place to have lunch! My partner and I came here right before it started pouring. The host of the restaurant was incredibly nice and friendly. My partner had a bad headache and she provided Ayurvedic oil/medicine free of charge and he felt so much better ! The food was amazing, hot and fresh, and consisting of various Sri Lankan curries. We even requested Sri Lankan chili paste because we like ours spicy ! The bathroom was clean and coffee was amazing!

Ordered chopsuey chicken fried rice, chicken fried rice, and vegetable fried rice. And took one glass of sprite. All of the items were Great ❤️. Chopsuey fried rice was the best among our orders. Beverage came with nice glass and metal straw which I have never seen before, it was interesting. The chef was a very nice person. Gave information regarding our itinerary.

We wanted something light and that's exactly their oats bowl was. It was warm and delicious. We also had coffee but forgot to take a picture 🥲 The best part was their kindness and service, very prompt and well behaved. Overall it was a warm experience.

This coffee is really very sweet. The people here are very nice. The coffee tastes great. I had a chocolate yogurt with bananas — it was also very delicious. We stopped here after our safaritour to have a coffee. It’s really worth recommending.

Too crowded all busses stop here all tourist guides get all foreign visitors to this place god knows why. Food was below average, non veg food apparently was undercooked, the only time I have seen my nonveg friends eat dal chawal. Overrated place, its neither authentic srilankan food nor global cuisine.

EXCELLENT LUNCH! Nine of us stopped at Tropical Village for lunch, conveniently located 2 km past Dambulla on Dambulla - Habarana Road. Authentic Sri Lankan food served in buffet style was varied and delicious. Fruits, sweets, tea and coffee complemented the meal. The serving staff were professional and attentive. The cost was very reasonable too. We shall certainly stop here whenever we visit Dambulla or go past this restaurant. Thank you for a meal much appreciated!!

Stopped for lunch after climbing Sigiriya rock. Very nice and clean place, lot of choices, good food, buffet style, so you can try many different dishes. My favourites were the desserts.

Perfect place for a meal especially when your tummy is not ready for a Sri Lankan spicy foods. Foods is so delicious a bit pricy but reasonable. I don't mind paying extra for a food that I can eat and enjoy. Located along the Highway ample parking space we love the the outside area to dine in. It's under the tree. Staff are all smiling . Highly recommended place.

Do not expect to eat anything else than the delicious rice & curry served by the owners. The rest is not worth it whilst the rice & curry is delicious. Of course, way too many food for two people. We appreciated the explanation of all vegetables that were used for the dishes. Quite heavy on the stomach but well, this is rice& curry!

Rice and curry is the main serving here and for 800Rs per head, it’s pretty underwhelming. Granted, it’s a tourist area and so prices are hiked but the staff are lackadaisical in providing a good experience. Personally the Dahl redeemed the meal for me - that’s good stuff.

The owner is a very friendly elderly man who is very proud of the courses on his menu. We enjoyed a simple fried rice with chicken for lunch.

We ate here several times during our stay in Dambulla. The food was good, drinks were even better and the laid back atmosphere was just what we needed after a busy day. Isuru and Lakshan both went above and beyond each time we ate providing top quality cocktails and excellent service.

We happened to stumble on this place by chance after an exhausting day at the cave temple. Beautiful ambience amazing food and good cocktails . Shout out to adam , our server . He is a legend. A real shame we didn't know about this place as we booked accommodation which turned out to be really bad.

We ate here 2 days in a row! The kottu on our first night was the best we have had, with such generous portions too! Sandra Restaurant was our first meal in Sri Lanka and we couldn’t expect better as first try of their homie atmosphere buffet. The food was all delicious and authentic. Highly recommended, if you also like a bit of spicy food!

Amazing Sri Lankan food served with rice and delicious popadoms. So many different dishes for us to try and the perfect level of spice (we specifically asked for spicey!). Lots of veggie dishes too. The women went above and beyond to give us an authentic experience. We were so sad we didn’t bring something to take the leftovers home in. Located an easy distance away from the golden temple.

I didn’t even realise this was a restaurant. My wife came here for a massage so I asked them where I could get some lunch. They told me I could eat here. I’m not a vegetarian but I asked for vegetable curry and rice and got enough food to feed 3 people. They gave me more than I could finish and I can honestly say it was the best lunch I have had in my life. I recommend this to anyone staying in Dambulla looking for a great meal.

We stayed in Dambulla for 4 nights and have come back 4 times. Each night was different from coconut green bean curries to unique dishes we had never tried before in our two weeks in Sri Lanka. If you are in Dambulla you must come to Sandra’s restaurant. Presented in a buffet style or huge portions you get to sample amazing tasty curries that taste home cooked from a mums kitchen and full of love. A must visit !!

visited Pizza Hut at One Galle Face and had a pleasant experience. The location is great with a nice view and convenient seating. The staff were friendly and service was fairly quick even during a busy time. The pizza was fresh, cheesy, and served hot—classic Pizza Hut quality. However, the place can get a bit crowded during peak hours, and finding a clean table sometimes takes a minute. Overall, a good spot for a casual bite while shopping or hanging out at the mall.

I recently purchased this 4 cheese pizza from OGF pizza hut. Taste was good and can recommend in an average level. Service was not up to standard and waiting time is high even the crowd was low.

The Melts we ordered were small in portion size and the inside was undercooked. The filling was little as well. The cheese balls also seemed burnt on one side. Service was also slow in comparison. This is the worst Pizza Hut experience so far, after having visited several other locations.

I ordered food in OGF pizza hut outlet , And i was very disappointed.. 1st when i gave my order he didnt ask for my number, so i didnt get any message, even tho outlut was not busy,.. And i orderd the awrudu promotion meal (medium pizza,fries,coke), 2nd i ordered a double chicken cheese fiesta and i said him very clearly i dont need "jalapeno" And after that they served me with the jalapenos... And after getting my pizza i was waiting 16 minutes for my fries, even tho it was a starter i got it late 16 minutes after my pizza... And the plate they served me it was chiped...(edges are broken) Pizza hut cant effort proper plates for there customers...??? And after my meal i asked where can i wash my hand..? They asked me to wash it in mall's washroom... This is 1st outlet of pizza hut i have ever seen without a washing sink.. I was very very disappointed now with pizza hut... Please improve these kind of issue... And maintain proper restaurant standed

Pizza Hut has been consistently great. It’s my go-to comfort food, and Keshan and the team always make the best pizzas. Highly recommended!

They have some golden chicken or what’s up with the prices of sandwiches. Some cost like 400-500 😂😂 For a bit more price I can get a full plate of biryani with chicken! You have loans or what’s wrong. We were brought here by the tour guide. Seems like another touristy price. There are so many good bakeries with pretty normal prices. We tried a bit ‘cheaper’ food here and it was tasty and but I absolutely disagree that it’s any better than in the cheaper ones!

I had a disappointing experience at P and S Dambulla. The overall service is very poor. Most of the staff seem uninterested and unmotivated, spending time idly rather than attending to customers. The only exception was the lady cashier, who was clearly doing her best to handle everything on her own. The place was also not well maintained—tables were dusty and unclean. Definitely not up to standard. I would not recommend this branch.

Stopped for breakfast at this joint, at around 7.30 in the morning. They had fresh short eats and breakfast. They were making breakfast in the same place when we got there. We had string hoppers and egg roti and it was good! Good food, clean place, good service and friendly staff! Nothing can go wrong when it’s P&S. Lovely! ❤️

A great pit-stop for anybody travelling. The food is served hot. You can choose whatever you want. Let me remind you that it is self service, pay and collect your food from the counter. Plenty of parking space available. The washroom is clean and well maintained.

We stopped by this restaurant late at night after arriving in Dambulla when most places were already closed. Thankfully, this spot was still open and turned out to be a great find. We had the chicken rice, and the portion size was massive—more than enough to satisfy a big appetite. The quality of the food was quite good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, even at that late hour. All in all, a lifesaver of a place with good food and service. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area, especially when options are limited.

Good local place to get drunk and smoke some ciggies! Ordered chili chicken was a bit dry but crispy and went well with the chili. Finished off with some arrack to cleanse the stomach. And overall a great experience!

Food was “meh” for the Sri Lankan prices and standards - I went for “Man-j special”. And the whole place stunk of cigarettes. On the other hand staff was really nice and they were really trying 💪 Also, looks like there is not much in the area so quick it was great quick stop for us when going to Sigirya

Great place for a drink and a bite to eat. My wife and I went for a drink and saw that they were freshly cooking food. We order a Lion beer and a plate of French fries. They were the best chips ever as they were fried with curry leaves. They arrived at the table piping hot and were absolutely delicious. We then shared a prawn curry which was served with boiled rice. Again this was freshly cooked and tasted delicious. Oh and if course we had another bottle of Lion Larger.

Very awful place. The food is not fresh. Chef salad is the worst. Everything they had - they put in this salad: meat, Seafood, fruits, vegetables.

Zinger burger is pretty good. Chips were hot and tasty. Staff were friendly. The plain chicken burger and the double are just patty chicken, not real chicken so don't waste your time with them. Hot butter cuttlefish is not very tasty. Just order the right thing and you'll be alright :)

I visited this restaurant after few months.. earlier I had naan and curry and also chicken buriyani once. At that time food was awesome and i recommend many people who travel in via dambulla.. recently i visit with family and request a quick food and they recommend me beef buriyani. It took 20 minutes to bring food and buriyani was utter ugly food i ever had. When I request for gravy, initially bring kiri hothi and later sauce with termarind sauce. Waste of money, time and food. I dont recommend no more

This is a shop we came across by chance while visiting Dambulla. Chicken Crispy Burger & Club Sandwich are totally worth . Had chicken Burger for the kid, wife and myself had chicken shawarma which was good however loaded with carrot which was to much which overpowers the quality chicken, a mix of finely grated carrot cabbage and onion would have made it a perfect blend for flavoured chicken. I am not happy. The thing is that the menu for foreign people is two times more expensive. The owner after when I wanted to ask for the normal price (in the time when I got the bill) which was on the wall he said that the price of the wall is for small portion and also for local people, but the prices in the menu is for tourists and also it’s better quality. Seriously? My pasta with veggies was really delicious but the rice with beef was really bad, just few pieces of meet. I don’t recommend this place especially for tourists. Also my pasta was for 1200 LKR Rice with meet 1550 LKR We accept this price at the start but after all we saw the wall with the price and then I realized what is happening…

I bought a mixed fried rice here for dine in. I used to take food from here since 2014 and They are still maintaining taste of the food uniquely from a long period of time. That's fantastic. Regarding the portion of the dish, for the price I think that is not enough. They took more than 20 mins to prepare my dish. Prices are average and fair. Can be recommended for the taste of the food.

We had a wonderful kottu, amazing mango and soursop juice that was freshly made from the fruit in their garden! While waiting, they served a free platter of fruit to snack on (including ripe jackfruit, our personal highlight!) After lunch, our host invited us on a tour of their garden with over 25 different varieties! He sent us home with several freshly plucked fruits to try, can only recommend!!

Today we came to the restaurant and we were welcomed with open arms. After a tour in the garden where fruits and vegetables are being harvested we ordered two fresh juices. The juices we had, mango and passion fruit, tasted amazing. We even were given a free juice with a fruit we’ve never tasted before. The juice tasted surprisingly good. After a friendly chat we walked back ‘home’ with two passion fruits we were given harvested from the garden. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

One of the best traditional meals we had. Suggested by our local guide we tried this buffet restaurant for lunch and decided to go back there the following day as well! Many traditional choices from which to choose, mostly vegetarian options but chicken, pork and fish curry was also available. Tried very good dishes that we didn’t taste before … soup, and jackfruit curry were our favorite!

Do not ever miss Ariya if you are passing Dambulla at lunch time. The buffet is having a wide spread of Sri Lankan curries and desserts. We had our lunch there with our two kids. The charges are very reasonable and the staff is very nice. Most importantly the food is awesome and super delicious. Lot of foreign travelers were there and noticed that they had a great experience of Sri Lankan food. Highly recommended.

I usually avoid giving negative reviews because it hurts a business but this place was quite pathetic. The food was cold and not good. There was also hair in my food. They also overcharged us because we were tourists. I was quite shocked paying 2500 per person for the worst buffet I’ve had in Sri Lanka when I’ve literally paid around 500 for a much better meal. I’d suggest that this place be reported to tourist police.

Excellent buffet- so much choice! I counted 20 vegetarian curries and about 5 meat/fish. Three types of rice and many rotis/breads. Fresh fruit, curd and ice cream for dessert- spices toned down for tourists taste but still delicious. Buffet was R2K for veggies and R2.5 if you wanted meat. They charged half price for my children. All very happy!

Ceylon Hotels Corporation resorts have the best locations and this was no exception. Just 500 meters from the historic Dambulla Cave Temple, Heritage Dambulla (formerly Dambulla Rest House) is a lovely place with large rooms and helpful staff. I had always wanted to stay a night here and I was very pleased with the accommodation - They have 3 large double rooms and 1 family room. Forgot to mention - The food is amazing! We had excellent lake fish (both fried and in curry). My parents and aunt throughly enjoyed it. Thank you for making sure we had a lovely stay 🙏 TIP: There’s short cut to the top of the Dambulla cave temple - Go past the temple entrance until you see the car park, turn into the car park road until you get to the ticket counter.

Amazing selection of traditional Sri Lankan dishes, very flavourful, with reduced spice/heat ideal for visitors as well as children. Loads to choose from. The fried aubergine (batu moju) and snake gourd and fresh coconut salad (pathola sambol) were my favourites! Peaceful place to eat and definitely worth a visit.

The worst place to dine in. The curries given were not enough even it was a buffet. Even if they mentioned it is as a buffet there were no enough chicken pieces and papadam were served, (7 pieces from each were there that is adequate only to the number of customers for one time serving). They were pretty upset about serving food second time even though its a buffet. And most importantly if you have children my recommendation is not to visit their as they charged the full cost for them also although they said that they wont fully charge children's food. Its really cheap the way they are treat the citizens. Undeniably they will treat foreigners worst than this.

Worst experience in Sri Lanka… After visiting Seegiriya I took my family to this place and a woman walk towards our vehicle and ask how many guests and said it’s Rs2000 per person, after seeing us oh I thought you are foreign tourists and if you are locals we charge Rs.1000 per person. I asked is it the same price for kids? She said no come and eat we will charge accordingly. As our kids can’t eat spicy food there were only couple of dishes they could eat, there were only 7 pieces of papadams and chicken and just me went for second round and there wasn’t enough curries left and they didn’t even refill the pots. After I mentioned our kids couldn’t eat, and there wasn’t enough food for second round even for one person, owners said this is how buffets in Sri Lanka and if you take a plate you have to pay the full price. I said it’s a utter joke and this isn’t the definition of buffeting and they didn’t even care and they were rude. We paid the full price for all and I said I am going to write a review and owner said go ahead and write a review and we don’t care.

We visited this place with three kids aged 11, 5 and 4 and to be honest our kids barely eat anything as they are picky eaters, and also there wasn’t enough foods for second serving for adults ( exactly 7 pieces to match for whole group) At the end we were utterly disappointed with how they charged full prices even for kids. We mentioned that we are disappointed with the price however the lady said there’s nothing they can do as our three kids used three plates which seems funny, without plates how they were supposed to eat ? Wouldn’t recommend for family to dine in this place.

We came to have a dinner because of good Google reviews and realised it’s something totally different from what we were expecting. We came first at reception place to check the menu and after we ordered we went on the second floor where the restaurant was located. After 40 min of waiting we just saw one of the stuff running around and bringing bags with beer, chicken and Fanta from the supermarket. We ordered vegetable salad which was literally cabbage with plenty of black pepper. The drinks were warm, we waited food the meat more than 1.5 hours. The place is miserable, dirty, the kitchen looks terrific and the French fries were frozen and scented like coconut because of the palm oil. The chicken was disappointment. Dry and smells like palm oil

This was truly an exceptional place to have dinner. The host is kind and hospitable. After waiting for a bit, he came up to our table with amazing looking dishes that he prepared all by himself. Sandamadala Restaurant is situated in the heart of Dambulla town. We decided to dine there after noticing the numerous positive reviews online. To be fair, the staff were courteous, attentive, and ensured our order was promptly served – no complaints in that regard. Unfortunately, the real disappointment lies in the food itself. For the prices they charge, the quality and quantity are wholly unjustifiable. Their so-called signature dish, “Grilled Beef with Boiled Vegetables,” contained scarcely 50 grams of beef – a meagre portion at best. The mixed rice was equally underwhelming, with almost no trace of meat; in reality, it was nothing more than a plate of egg rice disguised under another name. The most astonishing incident, however, occurred when we ordered the seafood kottu. To our dismay, what was presented as “seafood” turned out to contain pieces of ambul thiyal (sour fish curry). This was not only misleading but also a clear indication of the restaurant’s lack of authenticity and quality standards. Overall, the food here is of remarkably poor quality, and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this establishment to anyone. If you value your money and your dining experience, avoid this restaurant altogether. On a more positive note, there is another eatery nearby—similar to Bentota Bake House—that offers a far more satisfying experience in comparison.

This is a nice location to hang out, but the food is only average. The service is somewhat below average, as it took a long time for them to offer us food. Additionally, I recommend not visiting on holidays, as it gets very crowded and the staff struggles to manage the influx of customers.

New Spot for me as a frequent traveller to Trincomalee. Few Kms past Dambulla town towards Sigiriya. Clean establishment with Simple tasty very reasonably priced food for breakfast meal we had. Our driver stopped here and we had a nice buffet lunch. Loads and loads to pick from and don’t be shy you can have as much as you want. It’s all one price. Well at least that’s what it seems like. It is open so there is no air con but it’s not needed and was cool where we sat in the shade.
