An amazing experience! The food was exceptionally good with an outstanding variety of dishes – every bite was top-notch. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive, the place was clean, and the restrooms were well maintained. Small details like bringing a bowl for handwashing to the table really showed care for the guests. The atmosphere was elevated by beautiful live music and phenomenal dancing – the performers made a real effort to involve the audience, which made it even more engaging. There's also a souvenir shop on-site, which is a lovely touch to end the evening. While it’s a bit on the pricier side, the whole experience is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

Quite an amazing place to enjoy traditional Ethiopian food with cultural and dance show at night. The atmosphere is very friendly and vibrant. The cultural show was very quite fascinating, while food was also good, though one can find better tibs at other places. But, overall, a very nice place to enjoy food, drinks and local songs and dances.

One of the best restaurants in the country - read this tagline doubted but now I confirm it is true. The bread is warm and crunchy. The dipping was great. Ordered foie gras and beef tartare both up to 1st world standard. The food portion is very big so I couldn’t finish the food. It is quite an expensive restaurant in local standard too

Lovely comfortable restaurant with a pleasantly surprising menu unlike any other in Addis. Sat outside for lunch. The staff was attentive (not searching for a waitress for more napkins or salt), but checked in often enough to feel like they took pride in the service they were giving. Food was amazing. Just a little confusion with the bill but an over all great experience!

Nice experience for a non-local, to discover Ethiopian food, music and dance. The show was great with excellent musicians, singers and dancers. The dancers are very impressive. The restaurant is spacious and you can even join the stage to dance at some point, which is fun. Food was good. As a group, we had lots of meat and vegetable dishes served on a large injera, from which we to ate collectively with our hands. A fun experience if you have an open mind.

I tried the Doro Wot but unfortunately it didn’t meet my expectations. I also found the prices to be on the higher side compared to other traditional restaurants. On the positive side, the atmosphere is pleasant and does reflect a traditional vibe. Personally, I don’t think I will be visiting again.

They say this is most the authentic Ethiopian restaurant in whole Addis Ababa. I cannot disagree, but I didnt saw them much. I just know the food, the very same food we ate the day before was spmehow even better then here, and for sure it was cheaper. But, here atmosphere is very alive, you have dancers, singers, so it's more about that then food in my opinion. We ordered a lot of food, we ate everything, you will not exit hungry from here. For 3 of us bill was 5229 birrs (in August 2024 that was 86€ + tip). Edut: In May 2025 5229 birrs is 35€. Inflation? Yes.

If you’re visiting Addis for tourism, this place is a must. The restaurant is clean, well-organized, and has a welcoming atmosphere. Location is convenient, prices are excellent, and the overall value is unbeatable. A perfect spot to enjoy Ethiopia’s flavors, sounds, and traditions all in one place.

Extremely disappointing: Why do some restaurants in Ethiopia feel A “delivery and takeaway” services deserves to be treated with the worst cut of meat? The portions, selection of the meat cut “there is a big difference between lamb and mutton” For the past few months, we were told about the food at this restaurant and we decided to order for delivers. Meant to have 1/4 chicken, 2 x Lamb vegetable, rice etc . The only thing that was correct from the order was the amount of rice sent to us. The “lamb bone” was actually old mutton then the 1/4 checkin had the worst (no chicken meat) side of the Chicken which was not edible at all! A quarter of a chicken means “you divide the chicken into four equal parts” not sell of the side of the chicken that should be thrown out or used for “stoke” purposes only … This was a meal for two costing (in the local market terms) a substantial amount. Not ordering from here again and we suggest those who do, ask for a proper ration of the portions not be given the cast offs!

⭐ 1/5 — Very disappointing experience I ordered the special Mandi and Fahsa, but both were poorly prepared. The Mandi tasted old and dry, and the Fahsa was served cold. The food quality didn’t match the price at all. I expected authentic Yemeni flavor, but this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had.

I luv Yemeni style cooking & have been to all the restaurants in Addis, most are substandard, while this joint serves the absolute delight ful Mandi. The lamb was cooked to perfection. The price quite reasonable about 1600, enough for two. The soup & the sahuka rocks. The same Mandi in NYC easily could cost many times & not taste as good. My only grievance is injera should be an option. for the soup soaked with injera would be wow.

Very clean and organized. The foods are very good and the service is also excellent. There are wide variety of foods to choose from and a few drinks. There are complimentary soups and tea. If u r looking for Mediterranean foods in addis this is one of the good places to check out.

I recently dined at bet al mendi and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. From the outset, I was disappointed by the portion sizes. The servings were surprisingly small. To make matters worse, the meat appeared to be leftover, lacking the freshness and appeal one would expect from a dining establishment. When I addressed my concerns with the manager, rather than offering a solution or an apology, he attempted to justify these shortcomings. This approach felt dismissive and did not align with the level of service I anticipated. Overall, I hoped for a more enjoyable dining experience but left feeling let down.

From the time the reception confirmed my reservation twice at around 11am as I did move my reservation to another date once, I was impressed at their consistency of what time to confirm reservations. The place was as lovely and even more than I expected and better than all the videos I saw prior to our arrival. Chef Marcus is talented of course, but better than his amazing talent lies a view and an elevator ride that is worth a visit to this place. The price is very affordable and my date and I were surprised as we stared at our bill and already planned another visit very soon.

The cuisine is African fusion with varying international interpretations. I had the scallops which were forgettable, and I was with a large group so there were too many other dishes to get a vibe. The cocktails were perfection. If you're looking for that celebrity chef restaurant experience, this the place. There's a DJ spinning and the atmosphere is wonderful. You need reservations and you should dress to impress.

Marcus Addis presents a truly breathtaking concept. Perched high in a stunning Addis Ababa high-rise, the venue offers amazing panoramic views. The physical space is beautifully divided into intimate settings, a stylish bar, a lounge, and a dinner area all of which are outstanding and worthy of a five-star designation. I will give full credit where it's due: the ambiance and location are world-class. However, the experience falls short of its immense potential. For a setting of this caliber, the expectation is a seamless, seven-star, ultra-luxurious, and formally impeccable establishment. Currently, there are significant gaps. The most notable issue lies in the staff's professionalism, discipline, and general coordination. The service lacks the flawless, anticipatory quality required, from the moment one enters to the moment one leaves. Furthermore, the food was mediocre. I understand the chef is working hard to pioneer a fusion of Ethiopian cuisine with European influences—an ambitious and commendable experiment. Yet, in its current execution, it does not meet the mark for a restaurant that aims for the pinnacle of fine dining. In summary, Marcus Advis has all the foundational elements of a legendary dining destination: the view, the location, and the beautiful settings. However, to transition from a place of great potential to an undisputed leader, there is substantial work needed in service execution and culinary refinement. It feels very much like a "work in progress."

Fantastic experience. I wasn’t planning to dine in to be honest as I just wanted to get the panoramic sunset view from the 47th floor but I was told I can’t use my camera which is a ridiculous thing I find in Addis. The views were amazing, wasn’t the best sunset though. We had starters, mains , drinks and dessert which was nicely made but incredibly pricey compared to the city. Overall it’s worth it and a recommended experience.

A specifically came to this restaurant for their doro wat, but what I seem to have been served is a small tiny drumstick of chewy meat in a big bowl of sauce with one egg. I paid a premium price for this. Everything else was fine at the restaurant. But my main dish was minuscule and chewy. I'm definitely not returning to this restaurant.

This place is probably the best place for exclusive Ethiopian food and the food is very amazing we ordered doro firfir and quanta dirkosh with kitfo and we also ordered some firfir with meat and with no butter. it was heavenly the doro firfir had chicken that fell of the bone, the quanta is crisy yet succulent, and the kitfo has a very exceptional texture with flawless flavour to die for! Though the firfir with no butter had some sort of rope in it , and its not bad but it had to much garlic. So honestly the overall rating is 9.8/10. Would go again!👍

I really liked Meskott Culinary Experience restaurant as it had live music, a violin 🎻and harmonium. The music was calm but happy. The food was very good too, I had the beef ribs with corn and pineapple 🍍 and I really liked it. Totally recommend it! The service was super polite and fast, I have informed by my sweet waitress that there is a live on Thurs and Saturdays too. The cheesecake was too sour for my taste. But overall staff and atmosphere was amazing. The place is very spacious with different levels. Totally recommend it!

I’ve been to Meskot a couple of times and always enjoyed it. The food is tasty and the service is friendly. Prices feel a bit on the high side for me, so it’s not a spot I’d go to all the time. I liked the beef steak and roasted chicken, even if the portions are smaller. It’s a nice place for a small group or a date night.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere, availability of parking space and the service but down side is the limited menu options mainly European dishes no Ethiopian variety. The price also is a bit toomuch. I paid more than a thousand birr for a regular pasta ...pricy

I love it here it feels so cozy the service was marvellous they are always checking up on you with out even being called. It's suitable for couples, families or if you decided to done in group they have place for all I personally ordered steak and I was obsessed with it. It was amazing experience from the entrance to the exist.

⭐⭐⭐ Mixed Experience at Meskott Culinary – Great Atmosphere but Overpriced I visited Meskott with friends for lunch, and while the atmosphere was lovely and the service was excellent, the prices were extremely expensive. We ordered fasting dishes (since it was a fasting day), and the bill was surprisingly high for what we got. The food was good, but not outstanding enough to justify the cost. If you’re looking for a nice ambiance and don’t mind splurging, Meskott is a decent choice. However, for the price, I expected a more exceptional dining experience.

I think meskott might be one of the topshelf spots in Addis i'm impressed with the ambience plus the service is really professional with an open kitchen. we went there for a family thing and i gotta say it felt like i was in a micheline star restaurant with the culinary excellence. I had to taste every plate on our table from the lasagna(not as hot as i'd prefer but great taste), the orange chicken(real good not great), mixed grill (great presentation, plus the fish was tge best of all grills, the beef, not as great but portion enough for 2), the deboned beef ribs(relatively,the best dish with a new take on barbeque sauce and smooth mashed potatoes). the price is expensive but definitely worth it, i hope they stay consistent with the service and constant with the price. I'd reccomend place like this for special occassions. Great culinary experience indeed, Meskott. Really nice job.

Gusto restaurant is a class act, it's one of the nicest place to hang around with your loved ones, the food is tasty but the portion small. One time I was there, they surprised me with a cake for my birthday and it was one of the best moments in my life that I wouldn't forget. The place is quiet with a cool music overall I find Gusto restaurant best to fine & dine.

The smell of freshly roasted beans pulls you in the moment you walk by. Their macchiato is my go-to rich, smooth, and just the right kick. Quick service, no extra fuss, but the taste always delivers. If you're around Piassa, this place is a must-stop.

Visited the original Tomoca Coffee shop. The atmosphere was cozy, smelling of roasted coffee beans, and lots of tourists were enjoying. The macchiato was strong. Service was quick and we got to see how the coffee was made in the back.

Stand up coffee bar serving good coffee (but poor tea for non coffee drinkers). Service quick and friendly. Prices reasonable. The coffee isn’t the best: it comes from their own roasted blend of Harare and Yergacheffe coffee (single source is better) that is sold in supermarkets in Ethiopia.

I booked a table for two a day in advance for myself and my fiancé. They mixed up my booking, but they got us a table in less than five minutes. After being seated, I had to remind the waiter that we hadn't placed our order. We then waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our food to arrive. However, when the food was finally served and I took my first bite, all the inconveniences melted away. It was authentic Italian cuisine, like a plate from the heavens. Every moment of waiting was worth it. And We will definitely be back here.

We came with a large group and they did the best they could to accommodate us without a reservation. The pasta was very fresh and the server at the table was attentive. We waited over an hour for our entrees. The front desk cashier/manager could be more kind and welcoming. Was hoping for better tasting Italian as it came highly recommended. This is a cozy Italian restaurant around the Adwa Victory memorial in Piassa. Quite a glorious sight driving in when we went as the fountain was on and there were crowds, which makes the place even more memorable and worth getting to. We went there twice and there are a few highlights; the ambience is definitely that of an Italian restauarant, basic but quite aligned on how an Italian place should look like. First day we were walk-ins, but second day we had reservations. The foyer has photos of all VIPs who have patronized the restaurant, and there are plenty including Thabo Mbeki and Brad Pitt.🤗🤗 Food; I enjoyed the beef fillet steak with cream and mushrooms and the fettucinne pasta with truffle sauce, my partner also really enjoyed his fish. The salad was the worst ever and the french fries also horrid and we did not try dessert So stick to the Italian cuisine I guess. Not much Italian wine stock which is disappointing, but it is what it is. Service: fairly acceptable, but we had small issues like glass not being soo clean, and having to wipe, food handling as well might need some improvement. Service charge not included and the waiters remind you without fail. Yes, I would still go back again and again!!!!

Their food, they stick to the basics. We tried three different pastas with truffle, gorgonzola, and ham. Homemade pasta, the pasta itself -noodle- is excellent and the cream sauce is bit too buttery for me to finish everything, but savory for sure. Went to Castelli's because we heard they make their own pasta and was greeted by the least welcoming person in Ethiopia. We ordered calamari and roasted vegetables for appetizer. The roasted vegetables were great and we could have used marinara sauce with the calamari. The rest of the food was bland and the stake was over cooked, but now we can say we had their pasta. The servers seemed tense, but considering how we were welcomed, it may be the culture of the house.

Castelli is an Italian restaurant. I had Linguine al Nero di Seppia which was amazing, I loved it! However, the Scaloppina al Vino was chewy, not so good. The dessert was Cassata which was nice. Overall I like the old look of the restaurant. Price: for two dishes, one dessert, one glass of wine and water was 2050Birr.

Excellent Italian food and good service. For entree you can choose from a selection of salads and cold cuts then you can order a main from menu. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options.

I enjoyed the flavors, although I had hoped for a slightly larger burger. Their steak sandwich, however, was delightful; it was both tasty and a generous portion. Much better than the burger. Overall, it is not for me, and not for the foodie guys out there. It is currently the most expensive and smallest burger in Addis. Overrated in my opinion!

Food quality was very good, but I think prices are overrated for such a small sized sandwiches and burgers. I suggest making a bigger sandwiches and burgers with same quality for same price. One more thing, What does the name of the place mean?! When i heard about this place at first time i thought it was some type of Sushi or other asian sea food restaurant!!

My fellow humans I am in the continent of Africa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to be specific. Extremely excited about the cuisines and decided as a Londoner to include non-traditional Ethiopian food for this journey and I was recommended a very well known burger restaurant called Sishu. Lady and gentlemen it was absolutely delightful. The burger was delicious the fries were top-notch and the entire experience was amazing. I’m just saying the burger was sooooooo succulent and will be very hard to match. I love Ethiopian traditional food and branching out to a brilliantly delivered western cuisine in the country left me speechless. I would 100% recommend Sishu if you are ever in the capital.

This is one of the rare places in Addis Ababa where you can find high-quality American-style burgers. The restaurant is set inside a converted old warehouse, offering a spacious and airy atmosphere. The distance between tables is generous, giving a comfortable sense of privacy. While warehouse-style venues can often be noisy, it was pleasantly quiet during my visit, which made the experience even better. The burger was absolutely outstanding—easily a 10 out of 10. If you’re in Addis and craving a great burger, this place should be at the top of your list.

They baked their own bread, and I was not satisfied with the size. The Fries were like commercial ones. The ketchup should be customized. I ordered a whey drink, and I liked it.

Tested the Sishu basic and BBQ Burger. Didn’t like the test of both burgers. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Asian cuisine is so diverse. And it may seem easy to make - toss a few things in a work with soy sauce and voila! But this is not the case. The Oriental, in all its glory with open plan kitchen and a brigade of chefs, have not been able to create authentic bakmie nor dumplings. The former didn't have noodles with bite, nor did the pepper sauce balanced; and the latter had leather tough skin and incorrect texture. On the bright side, this place has nice decor and views and warm service. The back of the house, however, need rethink, refine, and expose the team to what great Chinese - Indonesian- Malay cuisine actually taste like.

During my three-week stay in Addis, at the Hyatt where The Oriental is located, I had the pleasure of dining here five times. Each visit was more delightful than the last. On New Year’s Eve, they served a tasting menu that included the best steak tartare I’ve ever had. The Highland lamb shoulder and the Crispy Chilli Lamb were standouts for me—absolutely unforgettable. Beyond the incredible food, the service was impeccable. The staff was warm and attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant was sophisticated and welcoming. If you’re in Addis, dining here is a must!

I absolutely loved the food and service at The Oriental @ Hyatt - Addis Ababa. The food was amazing and the staff were excellent. In particular, Embet, Yenenosi and Tiabty looked after us very well . I look forward to visiting again soon.

Incredible food and the staff were absolutely amazing, so helpful. We mentioned it was our anniversary and they organized a slice of cake and a candle! The food was gorgeous and options for all various food needs, and the specials menu was divine. Enjoy!

The food was okay. Service could be improved a bit. Our first server ghosted us probably because we were asking to many questions. But the second server was good. He was kind and helpful. Prawn curry was nicer than the fish we ordered. Sunset views were lovely

I had an amazing experience with Hana at Oriental Excellent Service. She was professional, sweet and made me feel completely comfortable from start to finish. Her technique is incredible, and she clearly knows exactly what she’s doing. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and completely taken care of. Highly recommend seeing Hana truly offers a 5-star service!

I've dined at this restaurant many times, and being Asian, I appreciate their Southeast Asian dishes. However, I still prefer their older menu items, especially the Tom Yum, which they sadly removed. The steak is mediocre and lacks any standout qualities. The other Asian dishes vary in taste each visit, sometimes delicious, other times too sour. I avoid weekends here as it's crowded and seems understaffed; service can be forgetful, requiring multiple reminders for drinks or the bill. Overall, it's a mixed experience for me.

I was joined by a few guests and we collectively experienced breakfast at The Kitchen, a restaurant located in the opulent Hyatt Regency Hotel in Addis Ababa, one of the best hotels in Ethiopia and it was spectacular. They offered a wonderful variety of breakfast dishes. The staffs professionalism and the spacious environment enhanced the entire experience. I highly recommend The breakfast experience at the Kitchen if you are in Addis Ababa.

I had a wonderful time at Hyatt — the atmosphere is amazing and the interior is beautifully designed, very warm and inviting. However, I found the food to be quite basic and not fully reflective of the pricing. I tried the Chef Hani mixed grill but, unfortunately, it wasn’t very impressive. I was also hoping to enjoy a wider selection of fresh juices, but the options were limited to only carrot and watermelon. Considering Ethiopia’s abundance of seasonal fruits, this was a bit disappointing for such a large hotel. I truly hope these areas will improve by my next visit, as the potential and ambiance of this place are excellent.

One of the best steaks I've had in Zimbabwe—cooked to perfection! While the service isn't extremely fast, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. I don't mind waiting 30 minutes for such an amazing meal. The restaurant's modern aesthetic is stunning, adding to the overall great experience. Definitely one of the top spots in Harare!

The location conditions are to be called excellent great presentation. The Easter brunch has been a great experience! Considering the subject of the review, I may describe the cleanliness/appearance as well taken care off the location is clean and need. Hospitality and friendliness are very important, consequently the service providers have a great contribution, I can state that hospitality and friendliness are well served. Price-quality aspect ratios to be considered upon, I can say, considering the luxury location and the overwhelming amount of food. Obtaining information is important which can be through signs referrals or communication. obtaining information is trough information at the front desk has been a pleasure. Characteristics of locations are important characteristics which are prominent can be positive as well as negative. I can say those characteristics of The Kitchen have a wetly and luxury feeling. We can say the objective of a visit is a positive experience, what positive experiences can be expected: Excellent food well prepared, many variations and different dishes available. Not everything is perfect in this world what challenges or improvement opportunities can be expected: (note this is my personal opinion) Just a minor comment it would be great if staff should ask more often if drinks are wished. Amazing food, great atmosphere. Service; not so much. They moved us in because of the rain but left the food outside. The mains took 1 hour to arrive, by which time we were no longer hungry so we told them three times to pack it in a bag so that we could take it home. 10 minutes later, they tried to serve it to us. Eventually, we managed to get all the mains packed up and went home.

I was hoping to have an exceptional experience when it comes to the chicken wrap I ordered from this restaurant but it was a super dry and even difficult to swallow wrap. I ask the “chief” if he can put some sauce to the wrap since it was hard to eat which I’ve got a response saying, “ this is how we make our wrap.” Well, this is the last time I’m having any type of meal at this restaurant. I’m really surprised that this place doesn’t have better reviews. We went twice and had a great experience every time. I don’t think their hummus is the best but their salads and wraps are great, especially anything made with aubergines. Ask for their little homemade teff bread, it’s so so good! I also like the sugar cane juice. We will definitely be back!

The seating and area is beautiful, the wait staff was not bad. We had one person who ate some and choose takeaway. They were criticized for not eating there with the rest of the family. Both the meat and vegetarian wontons, and spring rolls were amazing. The beef with rice was excellent. Tofu was moderate and not seasoned at all, and the vegetable noodles were not good. Noodles were very dry and not much flavor. We were a bigger group on a Sunday. The area was very spacious, as well as covered outdoor seating. Food was quick to coming out. Overall a 3.5/5. Probably would not go back a second time.

It was my first time visiting and the food was delicious. I went with my family and we were seated right away (we came a bit earlier that the opening time at 6pm) 🎶 The music was calming and not to loud, it added to the atmosphere. We ordered dumplings, sweet and sour chicken Mapo Tofu, orange chicken rice and nuddels with vegetable. It didn't take long for the dumplings to come out with an array of sauces, which paired well with the dumplings🥟. The dough was a bit thick for my taste, however they still hit the spot. The other dishes came quickly after. The Mapo Tofu was the best.😋 It was numbing and had it's own taste. It was my first time trying this dish and I quit enjoin it. The orange chicken, however wasn't to my liking. It was too bitter and sweet. I do recommend the other dishes, however the Mapo Tofu was the best!!! The tea we ordered was a bit expensive for how bland it tasted.🍵 From the start there were candels on the table and while I was dinning there was an electrical outage. Which slightly confused me and through the atmosphere off. 🤵🏾‍♀️🤵🏾‍♂️The servers were very nice and helped us with the menu options, as well as light the candels when the lights went off. I will 100% eat here again, but maybe during the day.

Had dinner with my wife at their new location near the British Embassy (Balderas). I used to be a regular when they were in Kazanchis. The food is still great—one of my favorite Chinese spots—but the new place lacks ambiance. Renovations are ongoing but feel slow.

Had the hot and sour soup, Excellent. Soup had extra vegetables that I liked. Just the right amount of spiciness as well. Then we tried the beef broccoli and sweet and sour chicken. All better than we expected. Will come again.

One of the oldest Chinese restaurants in Addis Ababa, Sichuan offers authentic flavors and a warm atmosphere. We had a pleasant evening with friends, enjoying delicious dishes and attentive service. A great spot for both groups and casual dining.

Sichuan Restaurant moved to this new location. The food is excellent and prepared with care. The owner decided to open a part of the restaurant, altough one part is still under construction, as customers were calling if he can serve. The current space is limited, but it is possible to also het the food delivered.

a little bit hidden, on the third floor (elevator at the end of the entrance hall) this chinese restaurant is worth a visit! served by the very friendly chef and owner itself we enjoyed the delicious food (chicken sweet and sour, chicken peanuts, spicy soup and vegetable spring rolls). everything we had was very tasty and l can definitely recommend this restaurant those who loves chinese food!

Good traditional food but service can improve slightly. The entertainment was very good. The doro wot was a bit disappointing with only one small piece if chicken in a sea of sauce.

the reopend Dashen Terara Traditional Restaurant around 22 is just perfect! The compound is big (ሲኖ ትራክ ያስጋልባል 😂) , with plenty of parking space, no stress at all. The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, and the place looks really nice overall. The food is amazing, one of the best traditional spots you can find in the area. Everything tastes authentic and fresh. Service is good, though it could use a little improvement in speed and follow-up. But the supervisors are absolutely great, very professional and genuinely care about customers. 👏👏👏👍👍👍

Excellent traditional Ethiopian lunch. We had a vegitarian/fasting and meat platter and delicious ceremonial coffee. The staff were helpful and the owner was welcoming. She also assisted us with a taxi to get home.

We visited their new location and were warmly welcomed by the lovely owner who took our order. There’s plenty of parking and a beautiful outdoor seating area. The staff were attentive, and the food was just as delicious as always. Definitely a place I’d come back to again.

A place to avoid. Food is average quality; there are many more tasty places in Addis Ababa. Prices are higher than other places, more than 2000 ETB for a portion of tibs... And service is very BAD. Intentionally or not? But they seriously offended us. It is difficult to forget this unpleasant experience.

Well, I was there for getting a lunch. I really disappointed with their food. I was ordered chicken biryani. It’s not good testing n not you look like what you see in their menu, total different . That would be a good if they remove that kind nasty stuff from their menu, instead of making mad their customers. I couldn’t eat. Anyway I don’t recommend as my experience. They mess up my lunch mood n I just trashed my money

The food is small but it's expensive, the service is especially bad, and when I finished my meal I understood why there was no one inside the restaurant.

Quality of the taste is deteriorating.. Although people are good, service is good, ambience is good, it's difficult to survive if the taste on hygiene is compromised. I hope these things will be addressed before my next trip to Addis.

The portion of food is gracious 😍 delicious meals. I tried the combo (lasagne, tegliatelle, fish cutlet), and was awesome. Waiters are very friendly (and wear masks), orders don't take too long to arrive. Seats available outdoors and indoors. Price is generally OK. Coming back for the second time, I have mixed feelings on how friendly and responsive waiters are. It did not go entirely well on my second visit with friends

It looks like pizza, it's smell like pizza but no taste of pizza. We wich it had any taste even cheese, tomato or bread one. Havn't tried the pasta though

Found this popular eatery just around the corner from where I am staying. Went in for a pizza as the name suggests its a pizza store, but ended having the Sphaghetti and fish. At first I was suspicious but it was a great combination. The fish is delicately fried and layered on the sphaghetti. The restaurant is hidden off the street and offers some privacy from the noise. Highly recommend for a quick bite.

Hands down the best pasta in addis ababa order had telatele with meat and extra cream and deepfried fish and they never dissappoint I've eaten there a lot the food does take a while to get to you when its busybody beyond that it's adequate also the waiters are the best I would say they are so friendly.

Delicious food at an affordable price! Highly recommend the vegan pork or spicy peanut Thai soup for meat eaters who aren't so keen on going vegan for the meal. The German chocolate cake or fried banana (banana kiss) is a must for dessert!

No words to describe this gem. Wonderful spices for the local dishes and hearty meals for the more Western and Asian options. Even though you get an all-you-can-eat buffet at Taitu Hotel, this place serves many more options. Plus, it has a much better location. Definitely worth a visit.

Simple but good vegan place. I ordered Chinese tofu with no expectations but was pleasantly surprised.

Let me start by saying this hotel is stunning – a real beautiful oasis. The rooms are clean, tidy, and pleasantly new. Food was great, cocktails were spot on. BUT... our whole experience was wrecked by bees swarming the indoor and outdoor lounges. We moved seats three times trying to escape them! Turns out there's a beehive right on the terrace. Seriously? For a hotel classified as 5-star, this is just unacceptable. Trying to enjoy a meal or a drink with kids while dodging bees isn't exactly relaxing. Hyatt, please fix this! We love Hyatt!

Good location and service. It is a high end pricey place. They also have a big hall suitable for large meetings and smaller rooms for executive meetings. If you want to host a meeting there, better to check if they are willing to host the kind of meeting you are planning. They are picky and arbitrary.

Love this hotel. We love it so much that we flew back here after every one of our destinations to recover. We spent two weeks to explore, Dakanil Depression, Gheralty, Axum, Lalibela, and Simien Mountains. Each time we came back we were taken cared of and recharged to backpack through the next destination. Thank you Genet for making sure we got a tub each time we came back and making sure our clothes were ready for the next adventure . Hyatt Addis took care of their Hyatt Family. Hotel was beautiful, Location was excellent, Staff were helpful and professional.

We really had a pleasant experience at the oriental Hyatt regency. I recommend their dumplings🔥 it was the best. Yenenesh and yabsra also served us so well and they were super nice and professional!

Been there twice this week & the service very very slow especially when they taking your order. The dessert cakes are also not fresh. It's hard like a rock, they bring your hot drink cold. but the hotel very beautiful. Over all not worth the hype.

Food is very bad and overpriced. It’s the worst food quality I ever tasted in Addis. Room is tiny and overpriced. Hair salon is terrible service they are snobbish and give away your appointment to other customers and ruined your plan. I don’t recommend staying here or will send my colleagues to this hotel. 100% disappointed

There are levels of luxury, there is 1) Luxurious 2) Posh & Bougie 3) Out of this world ... ... and then there's Hyatt. I was lucky enough to even be allowed in here and see how the gilded half lives. I was paranoid the waiters might point me out for "not being from around here" but they were extra courteous and hospitable. I'm very grateful for that.

Good place for draught beers, burger/pizza and watching the football. I have been here often and like their draught beer which comes in three sizes (including what they call Jambo!). The food is nice although the presentation could do with a bit more polish.

“Delicious and authentic!” This place serves incredible Ethiopian food! The injera was soft and tangy, and the lentils and beef tibs were full of flavor. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere cozy. Menu is mixed with habesha, african and mid-eastern dishes. Alcoholic drinks are also available. Credit card accepted. The resto design is quintessentially Ethiopian. Great spot for a unique and satisfying meal. Highly recommend!

Love the large beers (1 litre glasses), good chicken. Service can be a bit slow, so enjoyable when not ina hurry.

I have got to be honest....I was very disappointed. The burger was not good at all, the club sandwich was better but still the taste was odd. But their service, the view starting from the entrance door was so beautiful I was so happy with it. I hope the traditional food is better. I look forward to try it one more time.

The burger was amazing for one and the staff were very friendly. My only complaint is that the food takes very long and they bring things out one at time, leaving some people to wait about an hour after others ate to get their food. Regardless food is delicious and space is nice.

A restaurant that specifically focuses on fish. They have nice foods but don't expect anything extraordinary. The food options are pretty basic.

The food was fresh, to say the least, from the appetizers to the end of our stay. Genesis has truly proven that the quality of food really speaks. If you haven’t tried the fish at Genesis, get ready for a journey of flavor, and with your loved ones by your side, it just makes it that much better.

My favorite restaurant in Ethiopia. I can still see the look on the waiter's face when I ordered the Nile perch for me and 1 other person. He literally said "it is too much for 2 persons.".... The fish was huge, fresh, delicious, and worth the wait. The atmosphere was great. For the most part, Ethiopians are hospitable, especially if you are spending money...😂🤣🥰🙏🏾🛐✝️

My honest reaction when I saw this place was "what did people see in this place ?". The service was the worst I have never been disrespected like this in my whole life. I was ignored by the waiters and gave me meals I did not order. I will not recommend this place for anyone.

The place was the worst i have ever been in my life. The service was dreadful i waited for 3 hours for my meal which by the way didn't come. The waiters didn't even care about thair customers and they even forgot the meals we ordered. I do not recommend it.

I ordered deep fried Nile perch. they served with lemon it was incredible. I really enjoyed it. it softens was something make it enjoyable. however there service wasn’t good.

The indoor restaurant and the drive in café is one to visit. I prefer the drive in, to privately chat, and eat their famous Fry Dough with Tea. Service might be in a rush after the afternoon. worth my time.

They've quite the way with any type of customers. With a variety of meals, from European to local, much less Ethiopian traditional ones. So I read the menu minutes... minutely. The quality is not necessarily an unqualified triumph. A narrow escape, I say, but the woman manager took care of the way how to grill, which is rarely seen, I appreciate her careful attention with trying to make sure.

Some how I find it a bit expensive...but I have tested their fasting foods ('Beyaynet' and 'Shiro') and was delicious. Their service is excellent. I'm looking forward to trying the other foods I haven't tested.

I liked that the Pasti was lower in fat. Less oil. The black seeds on top were delicious and the food was healthy. To grab your Pastis before they run out, arrive at 5 p.m.

I asked for a beer and this is where things got complicated. In my culture it's common to ask for a beer in a bar but here the staff insists on customers having to buy a bottle of hard liquor for 12,000 birr - whether you like it or not. This is not my culture.

Why are the bouncers so poorly trained? It’s ridiculous that they can just ruin someone’s night for no reason just because someone slipped them a little cash to harass actual paying customers. If you don’t personally know the management or the owner, good luck having a smooth night because the security will act up for no reason. It’s honestly sad to watch the reputation this place used to get dragged down by the unprofessional behaviour of a few power-tripping bouncers. Sort it out. This is not what people expect from your brand.

Vardas is the worst place in town and incredibly unsafe. First, they pressure you to buy a bottle, and then if you get drunk, the security guards come around asking for tips. If you refuse, they treat you poorly or even throw you out. One security guard asked me for money, and when I refused, he punched me in the neck, knowing I was intoxicated. Unfortunately, I wasn’t the first person to be treated this way. I attempted to speak with police officers about the situation, but they told me they couldn’t intervene inside, leaving me no choice but to leave. The security guards at Vardas are arrogant and unprofessional, and they pretty much force you to give them money. It's easy to feel ripped off there. Vardas is a dangerous spot in Addis Ababa Ethiopia and I will never return to this place.

Nice place but allowing smoking inside is a big deal breaker.

Vardas is the worst place in town and not safe at all. In the first place they want you to order bottle and then if you get drunk the security guards come and ask you money and if you are not willing to give them tip they will take you out or treat you like trash or they can do whatever they want.

I like the vibe, music, atmosphere...and one thing why I didn't give you 5* because of the security guards they don't give respect!

Situated away from the chaos of the city, you can enjoy fresh air and open space at this restaurant. Good food, but not special. Was also greatly assisted by a man from the restaurant when it was pouring cats and dogs and he accompanied me with an umbrella up to our car

This is one of signiture restaurant in Megenena(Most of the Addis ababa Taxi drivers know the place) The view is now a bit hidden by other buildings But space of the restaurant is quite big. There is a outdoor playground for kids. Foods are mostly good(it was quite salty sometimes). Mostly Italian but they serve nice traditional dishies like Torowat(Spicy Chicken stew with Injera).

Great food, great service and a nice atmosphere. For those who want to walk there- it’s a bit of a steep slope.

Its great place to hangout with friends and families but the price of their food and portion doesn't go together its very small portion.

Sadly it’s now the “No View” restaurant since a huge hotel has been built totally blocking the view. Now it’s average food with a decent outdoor space, but no view at all.

The ambiance was vibrant with rich cultural touches, and the team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, from the traditional coffee ceremony to the expertly spiced dishes. We left thoroughly impressed and eager to return; this is hands-down one of the best Ethiopian dining experiences we’ve ever had!

Enjoy the vibrant Ethiopian cultural atmosphere in the heart of the city. The drinks and food are excellent. Service is well-organized from the front desk to the restrooms and everything is clean. There's even a pharmacy offering a variety of beverages and sedatives (yes, really!). Hehe. Come and see—it’s a great place!

The old one was closed for renovations so we visited this newer version. It's much more like a theater than a restaurant and the price reflects that too. The gored gored is still fantastic though and I'm sure tourists like the new style kitchen where you can watch people cook. It doesn't have the same fun atmosphere as the old one and the menu is a lot more limited.

I had a wonderful experience here, in a very little time you can know a lot about Ethiopian culture. The live music with their own unique and cultural instruments was so great. The dance, wow, amazing! And fact that they will involve the public made it even more amazing.

The shekla tibs is the worst I have had in Addis. The taste was just too plain and dry. As soon as we took our first bite, the waitress told us we need to finish up fast and leave since they were about to close. The music wasn't good and stopped right away. They literally forced us out before finishing our food and drinks saying the police is telling them to shut down the place for no reason.

I recently dined at a charming restaurant that truly impressed with its inviting atmosphere and delicious food with a friend. We ordered the spaghetti with chicken sauce, which was a delightful dish. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the creamy chicken sauce was flavorful. Each bite was comforting and satisfying. We also tried the beef stroganoff. This dish was nothing short of spectacular. The beef was complemented by a luscious sauce, served over french fries that soaked up some of the sauce that gave the flavors beautifully. Lastly, we tried there Cakes and it was nice. Overall, the combination of a great atmosphere and outstanding food made for a memorable dining experience. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu!

This place is both a pastry shop and a restaurant with a Turkish atmosphere. They're famous for their baklava, which is honestly amazing. They also have a restaurant on the mezzanine floor that serves decent food. I highly recommend everyone to try their pastries, especially their baklava.

The restaurant has a very cool and clean atmosphere. The waiter was friendly and served us kindly. I really enjoyed my visit! I ordered the special chicken burger and margarita pizza with a fruit punch. Everything was amazing!

The cake we ordered for my daughter’s birthday was so disappointing. The taste was so bad. We ordered a chocolate cake but there was no chocolate flavor at all, and pure sugar and brown coloring only. It appears to be artificial flavors. This man was supposedly invited on EBS to showcase his famous cakes, so we were very excited to buy his cake, but it ended up tasting terrible. None of our guests ate the cake and we threw it away, and sadly this cake costed us 7,000 birr. The only thing he did well was the outside design. This was an absolute waste and embarrassment.

The food tasted nice but it was served cold/lukewarm. We had the yefisik mesob, everything on it was cold. We also ordered the yebeg key/alicha wot (lamb stew) you can see from the surface that it's been sitting around for a while before being served. Service could be better too.

Huge seating space next to Airport road, the restaurant was very busy given a Saturday night. It took some time to get the attention of anyone to serve us, the girls sitting on account/reception desk didn't listen to me at all but our waiter was very nice & quick. Good option to try some western food (for white tourists), but I had traditional Ethiopian food which was delicious, spicy and in a copious portion!

Ordered one beef burger. The beef patty is soft, fresh, and 100% pure meet. Cheese 🧀 is a good quality cheddar 👌 The bun is soft and freshly made. Souces are tasty. Pickles is fresh and well made. Fries quality could be improved. Over all was a 10 out of 10 experience. Update: The meat quality has dropped so I am lowering my ratings from 5 to 3.

When you stay in Ramada hotel or around, this is definitely a place to go for draft beer and double cheeseburgers. I used to live in AA, and believe this burger is the best, even better than the popular place near the African Union HQ. The beer is great of course. The service quality was quick and good, and I liked the classic (and somewhat dim) architecture/atmosphere that no new fancy places cannot replicate. Definitely recommend.

5 Stars for their Juicy Double Cheeseburger 🍔 (Salivated just writing that). Dude, I had all but lost hope for excellent Cheeseburger in Ethiopia (Some come close) and so was pleasantly surprised with how good it was here. Thick juicy burger patty, properly slightly pink on the inside, great buns fresh lettuce and tomatoes AND PICKLES! What? Fresh bottle of Heinz ketchup with every order. Also, this place is big, has some four sections with different setups, all generally dimly lit. Seemed like a spot for singles and young professionals mostly. Draws a good crowd. Not many places like this in Addis.

Big healthy breakfast, however you like it. I am usually there for the breakfast menu but the wings and wedges are delicious. A good reputation of healthy food means it gets a little crowded at lunch. (That's a good thing) People say their Nile Perch is perfect, never tried it. The interior design and their music selection: that relaxed modern urban Arab contemporary downtempo thingy they got going is impressive, suits the place perfectly. Even the handcrafted boxes they bring the receipts in are kinda classy. Moderate pricing, despite the location and standards...

They have amazing stuffed chicken. It was so good i forgot to take a picture 🤦. There salads is also great. There breakfast menu is great and worth a try. Definitely a place worth a recommendation. But one con is it can get a bit croweded specially around lunch time and service can get a little slow and there menu might become select ( my experience) but you can munch on the apitizer and hang on for a few minutes as the food is worth it.

This place is great for halal foods. The customer service is friendly and welcoming. I ate their shawarma, it was delicious. I came here more than once. They moved to a different address, which kind of far from me. I forgot to take pictures each time before. I was planning to visit, but now they moved. But do highly recommend this place.

Tibs firfir was good, salad was ok, sweet and sour chicken not good at all. But the service was terrible: more than 1h to get everything served. The guy forgot 2 out of 3 orders, and Even when we told him about it, it took another 25 min to get our food, while the same dish was served at other tables arrived after us. Disappointing!

It is average. The service is a little slow but the food counters that....it can also host some programs apparently. And the gym is great. The place is packed with historical things so you won’t get bored waiting.

This place is ok but the service was disappointing. We were a group of friends and ordered drinks and 5 or 6 plates of food. It was over an hour late and the place was not even that busy. But the most annoying part was they served another table that came after us and they were served immediately. We had vegetable pizza, fish goulash and fish combo. The food was good. The atmosphere is ok but the music is too loud to hold a conversation. Overall its ok but can be improved especially with their service.

Our first time to this gem of a place from the old era of the music (Roha Band) were playing live with the two original members including Govanni. What an amazing exhibition of the sax playing. The simply delicious and probably the best shiro wot I have had in a long time. It is one place in Addis Ababa that has recognised the need for efficient and attentive service without overwhelming guests with too many untrained and intrusive waiting staff. Well done to the team.

Everything was good, especially the Band performed well. But every time during the breaks, horrible trash music was played at such a deafening volume that it sounded like the gentle sound of the sea as the jet took off and you stood next to it. I have never experienced anything like this in my life and can only hope that I don't have any permanent hearing loss. Thank God I escaped in time. Never again! Today the Roha Band was supposed to play there, which we would have loved to see and hear, and that would have been the last opportunity before we left. But with this DJ guy we saved ourselves and went somewhere else, which is a shame.

I will never go to this bar again. One day we went to this place to have a good time with family's during the live band time. Once the band done they start a DJ service and then one of my family member went to the Dj and asked him to play tigrigna music. Unfortunately the Dj said the owner of this bar will not allow me to play such musics. We all shocked by his response. What a racist owner he is?

Good ambience. Unfortunately they are very unsensentive to other cultures. They played two tigrinya songs half way.(very insulting). It would have been best that they didn't play any at all. So if you want a place that respects all cultures, this definitely is not one

I have been to the old Andiamo in Kebena ages ago but didn’t remember if I liked it or not. But a few friends liked the pasta there and I was looking forward to check it out. The second branch of Andiamo occupies what looks like the reception area of a building. Not sure I like it. The food was ok, nothing to write home about and I felt like I can make better versions of both dishes! Also, they do not serve alcohol! No beers and no wines - not great.

The pasta 🍝 was very delicious it is pesto but the steak 🥩 was juicy and not good meat for steak. My brother had pasta with chicken and salad 🥗 mine was better than him. The washroom wasn’t maintained well.

The ambiance is alright and the atmosphere can be better if you have company. The food is alright and the staff is friendly, but the language barrier creates that invisible distance. They could stock a wider range of beer. Their Heineken was great and ice cold. However, it is a general expectation that draught beer/beer-on-tap is served in 500ml beer glasses or mugs. Here it is served in a 300ml glass/tumbler. Reasonably priced though. They could add another two or three, bigger TV screens for sports enthusiasts.

It used to be one of the best Kitfo houses in Addis. Now mostly it is a hotel not a good restaurant. Don't waste your time and money at this place.

That's not what I expected from a traditional house the seats are uncomfortable the food is not comparable with other similar houses. It is more suitable for hotel than a traditional kitfo house.

Bekelech Hotel. i happened to slip in to the well known Bekelech kitfo for lunch, which have been loved for more than 46 years and figured out that Bekelech Kitfo has began a standard hotel services. Delux , standard and twin rooms with amazing speed wifi! i also come to know and seen that the guys are renting halls, which are beautiful with an option of open air space at the roof of the hotel's building. i love all the infrastructure with the wide n secured parking under surveillance of the hotel's security. n wow, the "kitfo"! the room is so nice, well furnished with fine materials. it the ideal place for night life of addis and all the lively stuffs. Enjoy!

Had a late lunch on a day that was ቅበላ . It was understaffed-we practically begged for service, the kitfo was unseasoned tasteless, and the kocho had flour in it.

Lime Tree has been a solid place for a long time. The quality has remained the same and as a long time customer, this branch did not disappoint. Service, food and atmosphere were all superb.

Nice and spacious place most suitable considering the pandemic and known for their wide range of fresh juices and a salad bar. I had their normal fasting foul with tea for breakfast. Really nice n tasty food, professional waiting service in terms of attitude, but forgot my tea hence, had to order twice for it 🤨. They claim to offer free wifi for customers but still no internet🤨. My recommendation would be to address technical issues and fix the wifi problem and for the waiting staff to write down customer orders. Overall a nice breakfast for a fair price.

Really loved their tunna pizza. It was tasty. The mixed cocktail was just a warm avocado and papay juice....I wasn't happy about it. The place has a wide space for family or friend gathering.

It is a very nice and quiet place with plenty space and comfortable surrounding. This restaurant offers a great dining experience. It can be ideal for business meetings or a peaceful meal because it is not crowded. The food quality is excellent. But I gave it 4/5 because the buffet option falls slightly short. May be it is because a pizza place but you may not find the other sandwiches and burgers indicated in the menu, and the ones available may not contain all the ingredients mentioned in the menu. The taste of the food is not bad though.

My friend I went there as we have been suggested we would be served a delicious pizza with outstanding customer service. Our expectations were high, but we were unlucky; poorly trained (or maybe not) waitress, dirty tables, and disgusting waiting time, and finally served with nothing but a round thin bread.

Charming place. I had a taste of the local dish (Ijera) in a cosy atmosphere. Meal was warm and filling, service prompt and friendly. Price is reasonable also. The restaurant is located right beside the historic museum and also offers continental meals as well. There is also a cool lounge serving a variety of wines.

The decor and setting in a garden full of plants and wooden decoration is nice but the food is of average quality and very expensive for what it is. Full of tourists groups and some locals. They are a bit disorganised and can’t cope with everything when they have a lot of people. If it’s packed you’ll be waiting ages to be served, you’ve been warned!

I had a generally good experience at Cravings, especially if you're looking for a comfortable spot to relax during a flight transfer. The seating area is spacious with plenty of comfy chairs and useful plugs, which made it a great place to settle in and get some work done instead of the lounge. However, I did encounter an unpleasant situation with one of the staff members. The restaurant was mostly empty at 8 PM, yet I was asked to move from a four-seater sofa to a two-seater to make room for other passengers. This seemed unnecessary, especially when there were barely any other guests around, as shown in the photos. By 8:55 PM, there were only 7 occupied tables, and they even moved another person from a two-seater to the bar, which felt a bit odd. As for the food, the Ethiopian dishes were delicious, and I recommend them if you're in the mood to try local flavors. However, the pasta portion was quite small for the price. Overall, Cravings has a great atmosphere for travelers, but I hope the staff can consider a more flexible approach to seating when the restaurant isn't crowded. $28US for a pasta

Too oily food. Soaked in oil. Takes a lot of time for the food to get prepared. Drinks are the saving grace. Just look at the vegetable sandwich. So much oil in the patty. That's not healthy for you. Prices are too damn high for the food. $22 for an oily sandwich. Avoid and get something else.

A group of friends and I ate at Cravings as we waited for our connecting flight. The hospitality was fantastic. The dishes were explained in detail and were perfect. The food was truly delicious and we will surely visit again on the next trip.

UPDATE New review 3 years later: US$44 for a simple burger with oily fries and the worst ice cream and bread pudding I’ve ever had. Why? They seam to have it all to make this a great place. The presentation was actually good. The burger wasn’t bad, but the fries were so greasy and hard. And then the ice cream was old… the cream was passed it’s life time, the brownie were not fresh and it’s all so expensive!

My family and I visited the old location 2 or 3 times over the past few years and made some good memories. The waitstaff was always engaging, and the food was good. Yesterday I learned from another business owner that Aladdin moved closer to my home, so I figured I’d take my wife there for our date night. We passed the restaurant twice expecting a stand-alone location, so we asked some guards where to find it. FYI, the restaurant is at the lower level of the building that has Daily Mini Market and Arosci Spa. The entry makes it feel like you’re entered whole new world. The ambience was nice. We chose to sit outside. I recognized one of the servers. She and the other guys have been with Aladdin for nearly a decade. It was clear throughout the night that they were seasoned staff and knew how to interact with both local and ferenji clientele. My wife and I ordered a number of things, and all of them were perfect. I can’t think of a negative thing about our evening. Once the word gets out that the Bisrate Gebriel area has another quality dining experience, I expect this place to be packed.

Restaurant has now moved to a new location, in the basement of a building located near Lafto Mall. I must say that the new place has a warm and cosy feel, even if part of it is outside the building. There are two other parts: a bar and restaurant, which are designed very well. The food is as good as usual, and the service is excellent.

Nice outdoor tables under shades and good service! Tried chicken Kebab and mixed one. And we liked the chicken better: super tender and beef had some smells which I dont like. Portion is not big for guys and enough for ladies. Will definitely come back and try their pizza and other menus:)

No wonder I was surprised to find how this restaurant tucked away on the main road to the international airport. The genre name of the restaurant reminded me of one of my favourite teachers. I had little idea what 'Armenian cuisine' was, but it seemed to be somehow Lebanese. More than 95% of the customers are European and most of them are travellers. The food was quite good but the service was a bit poor, unfortunately, due to the crowds.

The place is beautiful, cozy, and wonderful for dating, but they didn't give you the menu, and the price is expensive—one beer costs 300 birr.😡😡😡

Extensive menu with Arabian/Armenian gastronomy as well as many pizza options. They have lots of vegetarian plates all properly identified. The food was good: falafels were freshly fried, meat was fresh and the baklava was really juicy... The staff is very polite and they have a small parking area available for the clients.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this interesting cafe that promises a great experience that was somewhat enjoyable. I wasn't expecting much from this place but it shows potential for being a great cafe. The atmosphere of this place tends to give off a cozy vibe. While the interior design of the cafe seems basic, the outside sitting area tends to be a more comfortable and nicer atmosphere if there is good weather to go with. I wouldn't say the food here extraordinary but it is a wonderful food and comforting dish. The service here was nice. I had a great time.

I ordered a grilled chicken, but it turned out to be the most disappointing meal I've ever had. The chicken was dry and lacked any seasoning, making each bite a chore rather than a pleasure.

I had the lasagna, it tasted okay, and had plenty of cheese, but the sauce was very chunky. Plus, the lasagna sheets were pinkish, which was odd, and I suppose that's what caused me to be sick afterwards. It must have taken on the colour of the sauce from being in the freezer for too long. Also, the waiter said they had mashed potatoes as a side dish, but as you can see from the picture, those potatoes were smashed, not mashed. The 'icing on the cake' was the cashier (who has worked there for years, btw) who was really rude and disrespectful... she was rushing me to pay while I was only just halfway through my meal cause she had to leave.

I recently visited this place and it left me utterly disappointed and disgusted. From the moment I walked in, the place had a musty smell that made me question their cleanliness standards. The tables were sticky and covered in crumbs, clearly not having been properly wiped down . We decided to order a rice with chicken,salad and a chicken wrap , hoping it would redeem the cafe's reputation, but boy was I wrong. The chicken was dry and tasteless, and they add oyster oil and barbecue Sause even though I told them NOT to. It felt like they just threw random burnt vegies together without any thought or care. Overall, this cafe was a complete disaster. The lack of cleanliness, unappetizing food, terrible service, made it an incredibly unpleasant experience. I would strongly advise anyone to steer clear of this place unless they enjoy disappointment and regret.

I enjoyed my meal here, and the service was good. I had a macchiato and French toast. The French toast was well done and I did not even need to put syrup on it and had a perfect level of sweetness. My daughter had the steak Panini, which she really loved, and my partner had an egg omelette with bread. The special tea here is particularly delightful. However, the bathroom facilities, leave something to be desired.

Lime tree restaurant may be good for a specific target audience, but as a south Asian, the food more or less failed to please me. One good thing was that the proportions were really big. We ordered a full roasted chicken, and you can see in the image how much there was. Aside from the fact that it was oily, cold, and (at least for me) the food wasn't good, the service was good. They offered to reheat the food, and did a quick delivery. We could finish all of it, so we asked to pack it for take away (100 birr for take away). But, as soon as we got out in the street, the bottom of the plastic gave away and all of it dropped :( Luckily, there were some hungry looking dogs who swooped right in and cleaned the chicken faster than a vacuum cleaner.

Good food at a reasonable price. Wide selection from pasta, sandwiches, main courses, and beverages. I believe their healthy juices differentiate them from other nearby restaurants. Also proximate to several hotels and fromcity centre. Ambience is refreshing, with both indoor and outdoor seating surrounded by greenery. Service is quite fast.
