This hotel is not very cost-effective. On the positive side, the hotel's cleanliness and service are quite good. However, there are many drawbacks. In the R$500 price range, the soundproofing of the rooms is particularly poor; I can hear everything clearly from the neighboring rooms. The air conditioning, which is supposed to provide heating, is ineffective. The breakfast always consists of the same few items and rarely changes. On the morning of July 14th, I encountered spoiled watermelon at breakfast, which felt quite careless. The hotel is not cost-effective, and I won't choose it again. All responses from the hotel are official replies without offering any solutions.

My stay was overall good, the room was fairly decent spacious and airy, bed was comfy and quite big. My big bother was the bar, despite the bartenders were excellent and the service top notch the drinks were miserable. They were missing Cointreau limiting the menu, no Licor 43 to be seen whatsoever. I ask myself how comes a 4 star hotel is missing alcohol during summer season? That’s poor management! Then we asked a few drinks at the pool and I got given an old fashioned served in a plastic beer glass, I mean cmon! Even if there’s a concern about glasses at the pool you could serve me a proper whisky glass (made of plastic) same goes for a Martini, how in the planet you would serve me a Martini in a plastic random ugly beer glass? There’s literally a glass called Martini glass. Let’s step up your game Mr Bar Manager! Source decent plastic glasses!!

My wife and I stayed here for a week for my sister's wedding at a nearby beach venue. This hotel is well situated, close to many restaurants, shopping centers, supermarkets, and businesses. Additionally, taxis are readily available to come pick you up and take you anywhere on the island :) Unfortunately, the hotel lost my laundry while we were there, including part of the outfit I was supposed to wear on my sister's special day. After much back and forth over several days, they offered to compensate us for the lost items, but not for the inconvenience. They did the bare minimum. Overall a decent stay, but I'd probably stick to the laundromat around the corner next time!

The rooms are quite comfortable and the view from the 10th floor is just amazing. The breakfast is far enough despite I think it could be better (no espresso machine working for example). Now, what caught me off guard was the cleanliness of the bathroom… there were too many slime in the walls.

Good hotel to stay 1-2 nights. The rooms are clean what is the most important thing for me. But it’s located directly at the highway so at rush hour it’s really noisy. And the biggest negative-point is that you can here 1:1 you’re neighbours and all what comes from the surrounding apartments, so if you’re unlucky it can become very noisy. If you choose the sea view you got a nice view. The pool opens very late at 9:30. The restaurant is good and the service is good too, only the atmosphere isn’t so good. The breakfast has a plenty to offer but the quality is not the best.

Spent two days. VERY WELL located. Room is small but very comfy, so is the bed. Clean, good breakfast and organized. Negative points: - Just two: it doesn't look modern and parking is a bit expensive.

I booked this place last minute as my connecting flight got cancelled and I had to stay in FLN for the night. Prices were ok for an Ibis, a bit pricey compared to Australia. But the positives were: the room was a good size and the beds were decent. The bathroom was nice and it had great water pressure. The employees at reception spoke decent English, so it was super helpful. The buffet breakfast was decent! The location was great.

Excellent crew. Everybody is very polite and ready to help. The room is big, clean and comfy. I had a small issue with my reservation but it was solved in a blink of an eye. Overall it was really good.

The stay was perfect. The hotel is very well located. There is valet parking who are quick and pretty attentive. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable throughout our stay. The cost/benefit is great, even on a leisure trip. I recommend.

Great location CBD Florianópolis. The room is old, poorly maintained and has a strong bleach smell. Shower is just ok but the toilet looks clean. Definitely overpriced and not in line with other Ibis units I visited.

It was good. The service staff is very attentive and helpful. My only complaint is regarding the sound insulation. In my room (1055), every night I heard the sound of the television beyond the conversation of the guests next door, which often happened very late. So we were often woken up and had difficulty getting back to sleep.

This is just an ordinary budget hotel. We arrived a couple of hours earlier and they wanted to charge us for early check-in. We did not accept it and went to see the city. The room probably stayed empty until we returned, and they only missed the chance to turn us into loyal customers (hotel managers may think they are smart when they see the small profit these early check-in charges add up to, but they cannot measure how much they are losing in future repeated business opportunities missed, probably many). But I understand budget hotels may need to monetize small things to be able to charge less and still provide good service. And they have good beds and breakfast buffet. On the other hand, the rooms are small and their other dependencies have nothing special. You can check-in on the web before you arrive hoping to speed things up, but check-in still takes a long time. Room cleanliness and maintenance might be improved, we found strands of hair in the restroom and shower cubicle on our first day. The shower cubicle also allowed water to leak, flooding the restroom floor. We requested a fix, but the person who did the repair only re-positioned a loose part on the cubicle door's hinge, so the problem soon returned (the repair person was simply lazy to tighten a screw to ensure a lasting fix). Individually each of these are minor problems that one can easily overlook if staff were better trained and allowed to make occasional gestures of courtesy.

Bad experience. Cold rooms. None have heat. Dirty and old bathroom. Uncomfortable mattresses. Felt like I slept on a box. Breakfast was average.

I am not sure why the reviews are good, and that was one of the reasons why I booked this place. The website makes the place look great, the location is good as several other hotels in the city, but the building is extremy old, when I booked for 3 adults and one child, they said the place had AC, but the sofa bed (living room) where 2 adults were, there was only one ceilling fan, in a 32C/90F!! in the bedroom was IMPOSSIBLE to use the AC bc it was super noisy and loud! it sounded like an airplane engine, making impossible to use it and also to sleep. At one moment I opened the front door and the door frame with nails fell down over my head. I made a complaint but nobody came to fix it. I don't recommend this place at all. Awful experience.

Excellent location, there are plenty options to eat and have fun nearby. The pools are good ,they have a hot one too it is very nice. Good breakfast. we had only one problem, that someone at the same floor was smoking inside the room with open doors.this was bad as we have a baby the bad smell and smoke took hours to vanish.

I booked the hotel and went with my family (from US) hoping for the best... it turned out to be BETTER than I expected. The view is gorgeous, the food is fresh and delicious, the staff extremely nice and professional. I would highly recommend to my friends and family!

One of the worst hotels ever! The parking has to be the worst I ever encountered. One entrance and exit, once going in only way to get out is exiting rearwards with vehicle. Bathroom door could not fully close. Electrical exposed, no covers??? Also had to kill over 50 blood sucking mosquitos. Curtains falling apart dis not have any privacy during the night. Please look at photos!!!

**Disappointing Experience and Rude Service at the Front Desk** I recently visited this hotel and was met with an incredibly unpleasant experience. Upon arriving, I needed to drop some items off in a friend’s room, but the front desk employee, Adrian, was extremely rude and unaccommodating. He insisted that I make a payment for my friend's room, despite the fact that I wasn't staying at the hotel, only bringing something over. When I asked for clarification on this policy and requested to see the actual rules, he refused to show me anything and instead directed me to speak to a manager. His tone and attitude were completely unprofessional and disrespectful. It makes no sense to be treated this way for simply trying to help a friend. As a guest, or even a visitor, I expect courtesy and clear communication, neither of which were present here. The lack of transparency and Adrian's refusal to handle the situation respectfully made the experience even worse. I hope management will take note of this behavior and ensure that guests are treated with the kindness and professionalism they deserve in the future.

Not bad, but the Novotel two blocks away is a better option, especially if you plan on using the pool.

Great area, close to the hospital. Stayed there to recover from a surgical procedure. Rooms are large and comfortable and great value. Breakfast was great, service was great. I left my electric toothbrush in the room and they ensured to keep it for me for pickup one week later! Thank you, would stay again

Very nice hotel well situated in the downtown area on the island of Florianopolis. Next to a nice mall, restaurants and the walking/bike path along the beautiful bay. Well appointed, clean rooms. Spacious. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.

The room is espacios and the view to the ocean is gorgeous. The hotel is across the street from an upscale mall and within walking distance from great food and drinks options. The complimentary breakfast is fair, but a little too simple. Internet connectivity is also complimentary, but very slow and keeps disconnecting every now and then. The bed mattress is too stiff. Minor maintenance issues.

TL;DR: Good structure, bad at dealing with problems. During the stay, there was a problem with the power supply in the neighborhood. My room and some others had a problem and the power didn't come back. So the front desk tried to 'solve' the problem downgrading my room and taking me from the 11th floor with a great ocean view to the third overlooking a restaurant, saying that it was the only one available. I had to go back and complain one more time to ask for, at least, a discount, since the room was worst than the one i paid for. Only then they 'noticed' what room category I was and then the room next to mine (on the 11th floor) became available. The power failure was not their fault, but the way they handled was way worst than I expected for a renowned hotel chain. Other than that, the room was good, great ocean view on higher floors, the amenities were good as well. The fitness center was nicely equipped. If it wasn't for the described problem, it would be a five star review.

The hotel is very good and neat. My room was spacious with all the required amenities. I really enjoyed the gym and breakfast was a continental breakfast, what you would expect. Overall very good!

Nice hotel, modern design, nice room. Very expensive. You would think that at the prices they charge, they would be better at check-in or care more about the guests, Even Marriot is friendlier and a thousand times faster. First, they need passport, which does not make sense. Instead of making check in quick they stretch it. Every hotel I have stayed in brazil, USA driver license, was enough when the room is prepaid. But then again is what it is. Maybe someday they will figure out that the guest time is really valuable.

Worst restaurant ever ! I tried to have lunch Saturday and I was told that the only menu possible was a feijoada a Brazilian dish not only with meet also pork which I do not eat at all I asked them for options and they said no . How’s come a Hôtel who claim to be great does not consider a vegetarian option !!! Awful I will never come back neither recommend anyone else to stay

One of the best hotels in Florianópolis. Modern, clean, and fresh - with lovely design. The rooftop pool is beautiful with a fantastic view of the city. The location is great for downtown as well! Food and drinks in the lobby are quite nice.

We had an incredible experience here! The hotel is beautiful, the restaurant is delicious, and above all everyone who works here is super friendly and helpful! Fantastic premises! Design, the pool and the rooms very comfortable. However the service has room for improvement. Must remark pool staff excellent! they go far and beyond. Even if they took long to get the service I enjoyed their great service and smile. Staff at the restaurant unfortunately need training on how to handle expectations: got an extremely salty plate and an extremely well done steak- terrible for Brazilian standards. Staff at the reception unprepared for a maintenance electricity cut, I was advised to go do tourism when I was supposed to attend two virtual meetings. You must improve the standard of hospitality.

The hotel looks amazing, but there’s some really disappointing points that I cannot pass through: - My husband doesn’t speak Portuguese very well, and unfortunately most of the staff doesn’t speak English, so the communication was a challenge from day one. - the pictures of the pool can be a little misleading. That area is very limited and the pool fairly small. It’s beautiful tho. - My parents came later on, and right of the bat, they had a issue with a very long checkin and payments. - the staff constantly is hovering over us, while all I want is chill and be with my family. Overall, the hotel has great potential to be the non-beach/resort hotel that is so needed in Florianópolis. The room, bed, decor and visual are breathtaking, but the staff needs more training and support from the administration . It is a pricey hotel, they should focus on guest experience.

It starts with the arrival. There was no valet for parking cars, and there wasn't a bellboy to help with our luggage, so someone from the reception had to help. This was a major disappointment with one child and one infant, especially after approximately 7 hours of driving. The check-in was fairly easy, so no problems there. The room was just ok, nothing special about it. But the equipment had issues. The TV is old, so no access to streaming. The shower was terrible, it reminded us of a waterfall and of course, the bathroom was all wet after taking showers. The only good thing about it was the temperature. The bed was fairly small, and the AC was cold only, so we didn't have the chance to turn on the heater to make the room warmer for our children to sleep in. My wife and I have worked in hotels for many years, and in the past 6 months, we stayed in 5 hotels in Florianópolis, and this was by far the worst experience we had. If the hotel wants to compete in one of the best tourist destinations in Brazil, it needs to improve almost everything!

The rooms are very run down for the price you pay. We couldn't use one elevator because number 9 wasn't working. Breakfast is complete.

The hotel itself is ok nothing extremely special but rooms are clean, aircon and shower work fine. Nice bed. Only downside and perhaps the one that unfortunately stuck the most with us was the receptionist during the day. Extremely unfriendly, rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. The hotel experience could have been wonderful if that first impression with her had been just a smidge friendlier. She didn’t give us all the information necessary for our stay like where the pool was or that we had the right to a towel card for pool use. Said the room number in a rushed manner and refused to write down the number in our key card holder. I wonder if a senior guest would be able to understand all the info given in a rushed manner like she did with us. In my opinion if someone works in hospitality the least they can do is put on a helpful and pleasant persona at work as we guests have nothing to do with how happy or otherwise she Is at work and she sure did leave a very bitter taste to the start of our holidays.

The worst Mercure Hotel that I already stayed. The Wi-Fi connection is really poor, the service is terrible. I asked for towels in my room and to the swimming pool area, and it took almost an hour to bring them, and they didn't collect the used ones, because was "too late". Additionally, the swimming pool has too much chlorine, making it impossible to stay in.

It's a decent hotel within the Mercure standards. The pool is relatively small and not so clean. The rooms are of fair size for two people, while the extra sofa bed is good only for a small child, and when it's open the room has no more space. All in all, good for a couple for a couple of nights.

Everything worked as expected, room was nice, staff was helpful, but the wait for check-out at 8 am was long. There was only one station available for check-outs. Breakfast was great. Wifi didn't work, but that wasn't a big deal for me during my stay.

We was as family in the Hotel and was using a lot the hotel pool as it was with warm water in the winter time. all in good conditions until after 5 days. unfortunately we had a incredible sexual attack against us in the hotel pool with one man (check-in hotel guest) masturbating in front of me and my family in the pool area and with aggressive power against us. We had really incredible fear at this moments and couldn't find a phone or emergency button and as well this area isn't monitored from the cameras and only the area from the elevator. we was trying to leave the area and was closing us into the changing room and he has tried to get into our changing room. as well this couldn't be monitored. incredible. then we could leave this pressure and finally we could run up to our room. after i was checking and looking for the man with the hotel service people we couldn't find the man. with a really good support of the hotel service and managing people we could identified the person but he was checking out from the hotel and leaving. Next day we was officially announcing at police station and we had to leave the hotel, because we felt not secure anymore. This area from the hotel was very bad monitored and without any security at this moment. we had a really bad moment there. After that the hotel supported us good. But they have to think about their security plan. i am world wide business traveler and not really a dramatic person to make the hotel bad, but in this case we felt really bad in the hotel.

1. Breakfast is closed at 10. It is carnival time, so why would you close breakfast so early. Most of the hotels have breakfast till 12 2. Kitchen is closed too. You can’t order even if you want to. 3.. rooms are small. Paying 100 USD/night can get you so much better airbnb 4. Placed used dishes outside the room and requested reception 4 times to remove it. They were only removed next day

Pros: the staff are absolutely gem and friendly. They are lovely and they are helpful. It’s right next to a super chic food court and 2 blocks from a chic super grocery store. Cons: The hotel front is fine but the floors and room are in need of renovation. Color and texture of the walls are outdated. The TV doesn’t really play any Netflix as it supposed to. The room smells like mildews , and it just doesn’t feel dried. Lastly the aircon works fine but don’t try to turn the heat on cuz it will make the whole room and your closet smells like molds

Close to the main road what makes it a bit noisy, nice and clean rooms, couldn’t bring my friend up to the room even if it was to help me with luggage (extra fee of 50 RS) ….

The location is pretty good. Right across the street from the bus station and a walking distance from the city market where you can buy all sorts of souvenirs and eat. In a walking distance from the bay citywalk, the old Rita Maria bridge and some Sertanejo places. The rooms arent really big but confy enough. The pool is on the first floor right across from the gym and is good for relaxing not much for swimmimg, but you should go to one of the many beachs in the Island for that matter. Would recommend for friends and family.

Overall, the hotel offered decent value for the price paid. The breakfast exceeded expectations with a variety of options and quality offerings. However, the subpar room condition, including mildew growth on the windows, was disappointing and not up to acceptable standards.

Bait and switch. This hotel is absolutely NOT what is advertised. They have good SEO placement and photos that look much nicer than what they actually are. 1) I booked a room with a King Bed, and was downgraded to a cheap queen spring board mattress. Pillows and sheets are flat and extremely cheap. 2) Poor lighting. The lights are so dim I had to leave the TV on for additional brightness. 3) The smell of sewage permeates from the bathroom piping. Had to keep bathroom doir closed at all times. 4) Unacceptable and horrific management. When bringing up these issues and requesting to end my reservation early they refused. I am still currently disputing the extra charges they refuse to refund me. DO NOT stay here if you are expecting a high quality hotel as advertised. Their rating should be a 7.0 at best. Do not fall victim to their dirty business methods.

Poor business practices. They are attempting to strong arm me into paying for a 7 night reservation that was completely unsatisfactory in which I checked out after 3 nights. The hotel rooms do not match the photos. In addition to the smell of sewage from the bathroom this hotel is not living condition worthy. I should be refunded 100% of what I paid due to health and safety standards.

Nice hotel and good located in the city center. The breakfast is great. The room is spacious with nice interior and design. It is a business hotel and it has no gym, pool or something like that. Our room had no special view. Nice staff and noble atmosphere.

Hotel was very "OK", photos do not match the rooms at all, and quite expensive for what you get!! However location is very central and breakfast very good. Keep in mind that to visit the beaches it's a looong bus ride from the city center.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for three nights and had a pleasant stay. The room and staff was nice and the hotel is located in the centre close to the bus stop. If you like the more "hostel vibe" I would recommend to look for hotel/hostel around Lagoa da Conceição. There they have great night life!

Great friendly staff, good breakfast, spacious room with little basic kitchen. Has a pool and entrance onto the beach where they have umbrellas and chairs available for the guests! Just stroll down the street to find lots of restaurants. Also a nice indoor play area for kids

The vibe / location is amazing, the food is good, but weirdly for a ‘speciality coffee shop’ the coffee is really bad. I ordered a latte, it was so weak all I could taste was milk. I asked for an extra shot, what the bought me was an espresso-sized portion of filter coffee? I added it to my latte and still couldn’t taste any coffee. It definitely isn’t espresso they use here in their drinks, as it’s very weak and has no crema at all, nothing even close to resembling an espresso. So I’d recommend this place for the food, and their non-coffee drinks, but not their coffee; their coffee sucks.

Coffee Shop has a nice Layout and good style. Service is bad and coffee is even worse. I visit this place for a Cafe Latte and what you serve me is a no go. I can visit Mc Donalds for such a coffee. Had to argue with Service staff what a cafe latte is. This is absolute not correct and therefor I can not recommend this place. Food (eggs Benedict) was good to close with a positive Note. However, the experience today was such a bad one.

Found by accident. A well-planned accident, clearly, because it brought us here. You don’t expect something of this caliber in such a small place. Design and vibe steal the show, but the menu and food don’t disappoint either. It’s exactly what it promises: a café with culture. Many locals and visitors cowork here, and it’s easy to see why. Very nice place with lots of seating. The salted caramel latte was very good. We also tried the American and vegan breakfasts. They didn’t have waffles that morning, which was a bummer, so we were substituted a cake. The scrambled tofu wasn’t very good. Also, instead of guacamole they should just use plain avocado because the flavor was weird.

People from stores were kind, and it was a big mall filled with stores, but a lot of stores were expensive.

Great downtown area for shopping, window shopping, and coffee and drinks. Lots of variety for whatever you want to do. Pretty high class shopping mall overall in the heart of the city. Go here to admire the clothing options that you have anf maybe get something new.

There are a variety of shops and services as well. We ate at a self -serve.spot, and it was amazing! They also have coffee shops that are to die for! There is plenty of parking space, and for those that take public transportation, there are plenty of bus lines that pass by the main entrance.

Our go-to place for everything! My daughter even has a jiujitsu class here.

It's neither the best nor the largest; but is the most convenient and cozy shopping place in downtown next to the Bay. Lots of place to have cake and coffee after a good walk by the Bay as you can see in my photo. There's also an heliport just across the street. During the pandemic every entrance had temperature detection camera, that would not slow you down entering the place. The stores are stacked up and there is a food court on the third floor.

This mall is very nice, have a good transportation to there, a lot of shops, and the best bathrooms i ever see! Haha.. sometimes they bring events to middle of the mall and make activities for the visitors. well done.

Excellent and clean mall. Clean, modern, well kept washrooms on every floor. Comfortable seating sofas each floor. Simple in design, not wide, and goes up vertically makes the mall easy to navigate. We had a great time as a family. Food is good though a bit repetitive especially breakfast. Staff is mostly friendly. Apartments are great. The SPA personnel is awesome and Macarena is the best!

We enjoyed family vacation with all inclusive activities and beverages/food. Maite from guest concierge did an awesome job serving us and booking nice meals and caring for my concerns/goals. We are super grateful and excited to come bank in the future and I do recommend this place!!!

I had booked through Agoda for 2 nights, however, I had lost my flight and was taking the next day. I got to the hotel that literally has a dumpster outside. Get to talk to the concierge, showed her my reservation details, and she tells me that my reservation was canceled since I didn’t showed up. I asked her if I could still get a room saying I would pay for it since it was almost 2 AM and I was tired from my flight. She said that the hotel was fully booked, so I guess they wasted no time on literally double booking. This lady was super rude and should not be in customer service. Horrible experience and I would not go book there ever again.

The conditions of some of the rooms are just deplorable. I, unfortunately, was assigned to one of bad ones. I booked 4 nights and packed my bags after the first, and went to a better hotel. The mattress is in dire need of replacement, the bathroom had a very strong smell of bleach, almost to cover up the wet dog smell that overwhelmed the room the next day. The window lock is broken and the toilet literally shifts out of place when you use it. You can hear absolutely everything that happens outside of the room. This hotel is not following through on the refund policy they have advertised on Expedia and refused to provide a refund for the unused nights. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. It's not like bad management is their fault.

There is no parking here at this hotel. Parking is at a different location that you have to walk to at a daily fee and it's very inconvenient while raining. We did not see anything on booking.com about this when in fact it states that there is parking available. We travel often and always drive everywhere so parking is a must.

Tv had 3 channels to choose from and one had no volume, there was no hot water even after letting it run for 15 minutes. I did want to rent room for another night out of convince not having to pack up but still had to check out and go online to make a reservation since I had to leave I went to hotel that has hot water. There was some other things I didn't like but I wrote enough. At least it was tile floor and not bacteria carpet. Hope they don't charge my debit card extra because of this review

The musty odor is overwhelming, and my clothes quickly absorbed the unpleasant smell due to the lack of windows for ventilation—aside from the air conditioning. While I would be eager to return due to the exceptional five-star service, the breakfast leaves room for improvement. I would rate it four stars, as it lacks that final touch. The variety of main dishes could be changed more frequently, and offering sparkling wine or champagne would elevate the experience to match the standards expected of a five-star hotel. Additionally, providing welcome water in the room should be a standard amenity for a hotel of this caliber. While most of the staff are friendly, some do not come across as genuine. Upon my arrival, I was disappointed to find that I was assigned a dirty room after requesting an early check-in. Furthermore, I was mistakenly charged for drinks consumed by the previous guest. Although the manager removed the charges, no sincere apology was offered, nor was any attempt made to make amends, such as offering a complimentary drink. This lack of consideration left us feeling upset. I visit Florianópolis annually and would love to return to this hotel, but the dampness issue is a serious concern that requires the attention of upper management. The only aspect of my stay that lived up to five-star standards was the dinner, which was excellent and well-executed. I hope my feedback is taken constructively, as my intent is to help improve the guest experience. Great location close to everything. Ocean front but not a beach you can go in the water and lay in the sun. Problems: We got the best room ocean front the most expensive like 900 reais per day and 1- The sofa in the room was filthy full of dirty spots and the lounge chair had 2 holes in it. For the price and being a “5 stars” they should throw their sofas in the dump and buy new ones. 2- The bathroom light was very weak so it was too dark to put make up on ,really ridiculous. 3- They have a roof top where they rent to third parties for their events so on a Friday we could not sleep because of the loud noise of the music and their DJ! That started at 10:30pm until 3:00AM and they did nothing about it although I complained 4 times! 4- They have a cigar bar in the entrance and although they say you can’t smoke everybody smokes there and the smoke smell comes to the hotel lobby. I have asthma and my husband allergies so wasn’t fun. 5- nobody speaks English in that hotel. They have a big crew and we only met one person on the last day that could speak English. 6- We tried to enter their restaurant for a happy hour on a Friday and they asked for 150 Reais $ charge for entrance only and we were supposed to pay extra for drinks so we decided not to participate. I never saw that before. And me and my husband have traveled more then 20 countries. So be prepared to paid a lot of money just for the location!!!

My room has a mold smell and you can see that this hotel needs a restoration by looking how furniture are wear out Room quite clean but mold odor is not helping to give a good comment. Nice staff people even kind of hard to communicate in English or Spanish as alternative, unless you speak Portuguese. Anyhow even at Florianopolis Airport, or restaurant, gas station or rental car facility, very very hard find someone speak English, so te only way to communicate is using Spanish which in a way us kind of close to Portuguese. Don’t know if and translator app will work but maybe is the way to communicate there.

The Worst Hotel Experience Ever I’ve traveled around the world and stayed in numerous hotels, but I’ve never encountered one as bad as this. The noise was unbearable – it felt like there was no soundproofing at all. The hotel is old, and the staff, unfortunately, did not go above and beyond to address the issues we faced during our stay. We experienced uncomfortable moments with the front desk staff, who made us feel unwelcome, especially since we were there as a couple. As a banker and my partner, a manager with Qantas Airlines, we’ve had our fair share of hotel stays, but this one was an absolute disappointment. It’s safe to say we will never return to this hotel, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

It was a 4 stars long time ago. You paid for a 4 stars but the service is like a motel. Others rooms with loud music at night or 7 am and the hotel don’t care at all, The guests shoes in the corridors. The room was clean and good condition. The pool and the amenities was perfect.

I would rate the hotel 3/5 for several reasons. The rooms are big and nice. The bedding I would rate 3 out of 5. The hotel allows pets, and the room next to us let their dog bark from 5am until noon. We went to sleep at 2am. We told the front desk we would like to check out and go somewhere else due to the disturbances and they gave us a partial credit for the nights not used and the credit must be used for reservations more than 15 days out and within a year. The customer service on the matter was not good. The food was just ok. The pool was good and nice. The area Nextdoor offsite of the hotel was lovely and fun with great food options. The lobby bar had great service. With mediocre food. The breakfast is just pastries with eggs and bacon. Overall I would give it a 5 star if the customer service and food were improved.

I’ve stayed in multiple hotels, since it’s 4 star hotel I didn’t expect it to be perfect. This hotel had a lot of bad sides. First of all rooms are really old. In a room Internet was really bad (like 7 mb/sec that was extremely unstable). Cleaning staff wasn’t changing bed linens, I slept on it 1 week.Bed linens and sofa have stains and holes. Quality of towels were really bad. Only good side of a rooms is that it’s big and has balconies. Breakfasts were the same everyday and had not a lot of options. Hotel has a lot of entertainments such as swimming pools, gym and playing rooms with ping pong, pool tables, ps5 , etc. Hotel is located at good area called Jurerê and has beach nearby. Between hotel and beach there is a lot of restaurants where you can get good quality food. Suggestions For visitors: For better internet go to playing room ( there is 200mb/s) or go to restaurant area. For hotel: Rooms need renovation and change of furniture. Also hotel needs more cleaning staff so rooms get better cleaned. Do some internet tests around hotel so you can fix it and improve quality of it so clients get at least 50mb/s in their rooms.Improve breakfast just by adding more variety of food.

The worst room I’ve ever been. Tile floor is intended to warm places, but don’t forget Florianopolis in the winter gets pretty cold too. There were not enough blankets in the room, not a single small bedside rug to land your feet when you get out of bed. In the bathroom, the shower towels were too small, and no towel floor mat was available, only a wet rubber mat that felt dirty and cold. Worse of all, in one of the windows a dirty plastic tile made a terrible noise when hit by rain drops all night. People at front desk were unfriendly and breakfast just below average. Upon her refusal we requested to trial our card in the reception shop which used a different card reader and all went fine, as expected. It's a very nice hotel near the beautiful Hercilio Luz Bridge. The rooms are very nice and tidy with a living room and a work station. Breakfast is excellent. It's near Florianopolis downtown and the sea is a couple of blocks away. If you like to jog it's an excellent place to run by the sea. Receptionis are very polite and ready to help you with anything you need.

I stayed at the Bristol Castelmar Hotel for 4 nights during a conference that was held at the same location. Upon entering the hotel you are greeted with a large loby, with some interesting decoration and your typical cocktail bar. Checking in to the hotel was done with ease, no complaints there. Opening up my hotel room door, I found a large "apartment" like room (because that's what it really was; an "apartment" hotel). A reasonably large living room, with a sofa, a table and some chairs. To one side of the living room was the bathroom, probably the worst part of the room. The bathroom was tight, and while not dirty, never seem to be very hygenic. Thankfully, clean towels were provided daily. The bedroom itself was also large and offered complete cable service. While the bed was nothing special, it was sufficiently comfortable for a good nigth's sleep. The major fault of the room was the lack of drapes to stop neighbors from above to sneek a peak into the living room. The morning breakfast was complete and offered a vast selection of breads, fruits and juices. Hot foods weren't vast but those that were offered were well prepared. In terms of location, it isn't far from the local market (10-15min by foot) or the large shopping mal (20-25min).

I was participating in a Hawaiian canoe training, using hotel's outdoor facilities. All was well kept and it was easy to get there. Their lagoon beach is very nice too.

This Hotel is in front of Praia Mole and in its had a pier at Lagoa da Conceição. The hotel area is really big and amazing. A beautiful paisage. Its rooms are big and clean.

I paid upfront in full months ago for a private room here, the hotel closed down without notice, kept my money, and is unreachable. They did this to many many people, and owe millions of dollars to the guests and local merchant that they stole from, failing to honor their commitments. Sad and disappointing.

The only good is that the hotel next to the beach and it's designed nicely. The rooms...omg the rooms only problems! Broken shower, toilet are stinky. I was staying 4 days me and other guests BHair. The stuff Was like...take it or leave it. The restaurant. Is shameful. The rooms were stinky and smells bad. I guess they charge for the vibes that the people bring with them and not for a proper ahotel or proper service .

Selina has been closed for a month and didn’t cancel our booking. We got a confirmation email 2 days before we arrived. We arrived and it didn’t exist. There is a new hotel just opening in its place called praia mole hotel and the front desk people were super helpful and kind.

The business has been in financial difficulties for a while. I didn’t know this when they happily accepted my booking early Sep ‘24. They closed all operations on 24/10/24 - 14 days after they were hassling me for payment. They knew full well they were scamming me with no intention to deliver accommodation. The quality of this Selina is really bad for the price you pay. I booked a micro room for a whole week and really wish I hadn’t. The building is very old and outdated. The AC in my room freezes over and leaks, which makes it even more humid inside the room. In fact the room is so humid, the bed sheets are damp, which makes sleeping here unpleasant. One of the two toilets in the female bathroom was clogged over with toilet paper and feces and they didn’t fix it until two days later. The restaurant rarely actually has the food available that’s on their menu, and it’s also overpriced. The location is also pretty isolated so you have to take an Uber each time you want to go eat somewhere with decent food. The Wi-Fi cuts in and out, so you get kicked out of video meetings for work. Overall, it was a really disappointing Selina location, and I complained about everything to a man at the reception and all he did was nod his head and say “OK.”

It's great location to for peace and fun. The food is nothing to brag about nor the night time service, as they are a bit understaffed. The Selina app does not function properly so don't expect to use or gain points. Francine was great, she helped me check in and helped ease my frustration, and also gave some great recommendations for activities. The reception staff was always friendly and VERY helpful both.

Great location and nice pool! Front desk felt a bit understaffed (little English) check in was difficult but Pedro was amazing and super helpful. Restaurant is good and waitstaff is lovely. My biggest complaint is there isn’t enough water refill stations and the one water filter in the kitchen was SO slow and needs to be fixed because it’s unfair to guests / staff to not have access to fresh water.

I stayed at Hotel Évora in Florianópolis and really liked it! The hotel has been fully renovated, with a comfortable bed, clean white sheets, and great value for money.
