The quality of their Christmas decor cannot be matched with any other store in Panaji. Its definitely expensive, but worth the quality. From rugs, table runners, Christmas Trees, Christmas Wall Creepers, outdoor decor, lights, cribs, and so much more is fitted into this store. The sellers are not originally from Goa, they just rent the space every year during Christmas Season.

North Indian restaurant
Carnival Bar and Restaurant is a vibrant spot in Panjim, Goa, known for its delicious food and lively atmosphere. The three-day Goan Carnival brings the streets to life with colorful processions of floats, live bands, and dancing reminiscent of Brazilian Mardi Gras. During Sao Joao, the feast of St John the Baptist, visitors can join locals in celebrating with boat parades and races.
Had amazing meal experience at Carnival with my team. Delicious food and quick service made our business lunch fabulous. Chef Ghanshyam took really extreme care of our entire team by making Goan delicacies.
Rajeev K — Google review
Situated in the heart of Panaji Carnival bar and restaurant offers some lip-smackingly delicious Indo-Chinese cuisine. Based on the theme of Carnival it is decorated with carvinal masks giving the ambiance the Goan carnival vibe s. The staff are friendly and greet you with a smile. The service is impeccable and fast. We had 1. Chicken schezwan chilly: juicy chicken pieces tossed in schezwan sauce with and loaded with garlic is a must-try. Honey Ginger Chicken:. The chicken was coated with a sweet sauce and you could get the slight hint of ginger through the dish. The accompanying with a mild and refreshing salad. Chicken vindaloo: The taste of the chicken vindaloo with a spicy ginger-based gravy was close to the authentic Goan dish. The butter garlic naan was a perfect accompaniment to the main dish. Gulab Jamun with Ice cream: The perfect balance of the hot Gulab jamun with the creamy cold ice cream is perfect if you have a sweet tooth. The addition of pista provided a nice crunch to the dish.

Church
Architectural Buildings
Immaculate Conception Church is a stunning Baroque-style Catholic church located in Panjim, Goa. Built in 1609, the church boasts a grand facade and sits atop a small hill. Surrounding the area are colorful old Portuguese architecture around Fontainhas that visitors can explore. Additionally, tourists can take a Waterfall, Plantation and Old Goa tour which includes a jeep safari through Mollen National Park to Dudhsagar Waterfall and visits to the churches of Old Goa.
The view is absolutely stunning and iconic — truly one of the most photogenic places I’ve seen in Goa. It’s a must-visit for anyone who loves history and architecture. Please note that a dress code is required, so make sure to dress appropriately when visiting. Unfortunately, when we went, the church was closed, and we were only able to explore the premises from outside. Still, it’s worth a visit just for the ambiance and photo opportunities!
Sudipa K — Google review
• This church has beautiful, well-maintained architecture & offers a great view right in the heart of Panjim city. • As featured in many movies, it is an iconic place & definitely a must visit spot for sightseeing👍
Ketaki G — Google review
I attended the mass on Sunday morning 8:15 am, a very quaint and quiet church amidst all the noisy tourist shuttling at the foot of the church. They conduct masses in English , Portuguese , mixed mass and even Marathi and Konkani. This structure still holds the history of the Portuguese invaders. There are multiple ways to getting to the church which i figured I wont tell here since tourists do tourist stuff! This church boasts friendly priests, short and sweet masses, and extremely kid friendly activities that the church is aiming to involve more. I pray this beautiful church continues holding its legacies for centuries to come.

Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, Goa Iconic white church in Panjim. Famous for its beautiful zigzag staircases and Portuguese Baroque architecture. It's the heart of the city and offers great sunset views. A stunning, must-see landmark.
Vinesh V — Google review
The Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Panaji, Goa is a prominent landmark, often called the "crown of Panaji" due to its elevated position and striking white façade. Built in 1619 (though a chapel existed on the site since 1541), it's a stunning example of Portuguese Baroque architecture with a blend of Goan style. The church features a distinctive double zigzag staircase, added in the late 19th century, and houses the second-largest bell in Goa, salvaged from the ruins of the Church of Our Lady of Grace in Old Goa. Daily masses are held in English, Konkani, and Portuguese. The interior, while not overly extravagant, is colorful and features intricately carved altars. The church is beautifully illuminated at night and is a popular destination for both locals and tourists, especially during the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8th. The church is easily accessible and offers panoramic views of Panaji. I visited on 4th August 2025
Sourabh B — Google review
We visited Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church in Panjim, and it was truly a beautiful experience. The white church stands gracefully on a hill, offering a stunning view of the city. The architecture is elegant, and the atmosphere inside is calm and peaceful — perfect for taking a moment to sit and pray. We also took a lot of great photos around the church, especially with its famous zigzag stairs and scenic backdrop. The place looks even more magical in the evening when it’s beautifully lit up. Overall, a must-visit landmark in Goa — peaceful, photogenic, and full of charm. ✨
Shubham S — Google review
Visited the Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church during my trip to Panjim, and it’s definitely one of the must-visit spots in the city. The bright white church with its beautiful zig-zag staircase looks stunning, especially against the blue Goan sky — a perfect place for photos! You can’t go inside the church, but the exterior itself is worth the visit. Built in the early 1600s, it’s one of the oldest churches in Goa and was originally a small chapel for sailors arriving from Lisbon
Krishna V — Google review
A beautiful and well-maintained church in Goa- Our Lady of Immaculate Church (a favourite destination of Bollywood directos). However, it got closed at 12:30 pm. It is advisable to check the opening and closing time on Google before visiting the church. If late, you will have to take photos outside the premises and as 3 crowded streets meet at this point, it's not advisable to pose for the photos here. There are shops nearby where you may get jewellery, clothes, purses, magnetic show pieces, belts, etc. at a very reasonable rate.

Beach
Dona Paula Beach is a charming bay area in the suburbs of Goa, once a fishing village but now a popular tourist destination with resorts and restaurants. Despite being located in the capital of Goa, it remains an offbeat spot that is mostly frequented by locals who come to relax and admire the sunset. The Dona Paula Viewpoint offers stunning sunset and ocean views, while the beach itself is perfect for seaside enjoyment.
Dona Paula Beach is a great place for couples and photographers, offering peaceful vibes and scenic beauty. However, if you're looking for a lively beach with a wide sandy shore, you might prefer Baga or Palolem. Pros: 1. Scenic Beauty – Offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea, making it a great spot for photography. 2. Peaceful Ambience – Less crowded than popular beaches like Baga and Calangute, making it ideal for relaxation. 3. Dona Paula Viewpoint – A famous attraction with panoramic sea views, especially at sunrise and sunset. 4. Water Sports – Activities like jet skiing, kayaking, and parasailing are available. 5. Historical Significance – Named after Dona Paula de Menezes, the beach has a romantic legend associated with it. Cons: 1. Limited Sand Area – Unlike other Goan beaches, Dona Paula has a rocky shoreline, limiting space for sunbathing. 2. Occasional Cleanliness Issues – Can get dirty due to tourist activity and littering. 3. Commercialization – Nearby stalls and vendors sometimes charge higher prices for souvenirs and refreshments.
Saptashree G — Google review
A different kind of beach in Goa. It is not a sand beach like other Goan beaches. It is a permanent structure near sea where you can enjoy the beauty of sea. Waves some time rise high to wet which is amazing. Lots of movies were also shoot here. A nice place to spend some time here with you travel Goa
Tarunesh S — Google review
Dona Paula is not a beach ⛱️ it's a view point , nice tourist spot of goa,, entry ticket price is. 50₹ to view point,, if you have enough time to spend in Goa you can consider, other wise better to invest your time elsewhere,,,

Day and Night view Of Dono Paula Beach view point and Its once of the best place to visit and Enjoy the Experience of nature with wind and Sound of water .
Sam R — Google review
Dona Paula Beach is a small yet charming beach located just a few kilometers from Panaji, Goa. It’s known for its peaceful setting, scenic views, and the famous viewpoint that overlooks the meeting point of the Mandovi and Zuari rivers with the Arabian Sea. Though not very large, the beach has a special local charm. The water is calm, making it suitable for swimming, boating, and other light water sports. You’ll often find small stalls selling local snacks, coconuts, and souvenirs, giving it a lively Goan touch without feeling overcrowded. The Dona Paula viewpoint above the beach offers a stunning panoramic view — especially during sunrise or sunset — making it a favorite spot for photography lovers. You can also spot fishing boats, colorful shacks, and the statue of Dona Paula, which adds a touch of local history and mystery to the place. During weekends and tourist seasons, it can get a bit crowded, but weekdays are peaceful and perfect for quiet relaxation. It’s not as commercial as Miramar or Calangute, which makes it ideal for visitors looking for a calm, local beach experience.
Sumoj M — Google review
Located around 7kms from Panjim, Dona Paula is one of the most popular tourist hangouts in Goa famous for its vast stretch of beach. The small beach is also popular as the Lover's Paradise and features a jetty (Dona Paula Jetty) adjacent to it, which provides a beautiful view of the Arabian Sea and Mormugao harbour. The Dona Paula is named after then Goa Viceroy's daughter Dona Paula de Menezes in honour of her tragic love story. Dona Paula Beach also is the meeting point of the Zuari and Mandovi Rivers and is beautified by fronds of palm trees breaking the silvery shimmer of the beach sand. The beach is popular for the host of water sports. Dona Paula is also popular as a shooting site. A few of famous Bollywood films have been shot here. Popular names like Singham and Ek Duje ke Liye etc have been shot here.

Cafe
Nestled in the charming area of Taleigao, Santa Rita Fast Foods & Cafe is a delightful homage to Goan Portuguese cuisine, continuing the legacy of Espertina Rodrigues. With a menu that showcases an array of flavorful dishes like beef costelata and bacalhau com natas, this cozy eatery captures the essence of traditional flavors using locally-sourced ingredients influenced by African, European, and Indian culinary traditions.
The food here is authentic Goan/ Portuguese and feels home made. The snacks are made fresh, once ordered. We enjoyed the prawn chops, beef samosas and prawn samosas. We had an awesome family lunch.. we went with 3 of their recommend dishes..the beef cebolado, pork solantulem and sausage pulao.. all were amazing.. the beef and pork were so well cooked..i cut the meat using a spoon... not oily... superb food.
Bertrand F — Google review
Hi santa Rita peeps. I have been an usually visitor here either in person or order online. And often enjoy the good food. But couple of times I had a bad experience. But this time I had to post it as I had ordered a chicken costeleta with bread. And to my suprise i found a steel fine wire in it... It seems to be a steel scrub string. I'm really shocked by the carelessness of the staff. Imagine a kid eating that and swallowing it. It's would be an emergency medical situation and even fatal. This is not excusable guys. So please a request to check the orders or food before serving it.
Rachel R — Google review
I've visited this café multiple times and have always enjoyed the food, but I had a disappointing experience on my most recent visit. I decided to dine in, and unfortunately, the service was slow — my order of 2 croquettes and 2 beef chops took over an hour to prepare. When the food finally arrived, the beef chops were stale and cold, not at all what I had come to expect. I don’t want to damage the reputation of your brand, but I think it’s important to be honest and share my experience. Hopefully, this can help improve the service for future customers. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Lasha D — Google review
Another cozy place located in the internal part of the outskirts of Panjim in Odlem bhaat Taleigao. Probably one amongst the few rare remaining places dishing up some traditional Goan Portuguese food in and around the Panjim city limits, it may feel a little heavier on the pockets for those who prefer the gaado style cutlet paos etc, but the coziness and ambience is worth that little extra premium. And ofcourse the food too is right up there like the good old glory days.
Elvis J — Google review
If you wanna have An Authentic Experience with some amazing Goan Portuguese menu then you should definitely head to none other then Santa Rita Cafe, this cafe gives you a nostalgic feeling of old Goan Portuguese ❤A must to visit! 🔥
Darshil N — Google review
I have tasted many of their dishes and believe me, all of them were delicious. The standouts for me were the sausage emapanadas and the bacalhau com nata and the bacalhau Gomes Sa. These special dishes need to be ordered at least a day in advance and you can be assured of mouth watering delights. Do try it out for yourselves!
Jenifer F — Google review
Ordered in today for the first time from here and was such a bummer. The bolo sans rival has Mold!! There was no castor sugar on toucinho do ceu! The Serradurra is like water! The sausage pulao wasn’t tasty and super pricy!! I have had far better sausage pulao at half the price! The one star is for the decent pork solatulem and great Goan bread! Do not recommend this place at all!
Heena S — Google review
You can find out the popularity of a place from the number of customers purchasing stuff from it either offline or online. This place has absolutely no activity. Most of the time they hardly have anything. Afternoons their shelves are empty and no one knows when they display their stuff. Unlike places like Romeo's Pastries, 31 de Janeiro in Panjim, there are never beelines here to show there is any demand for their stuff. Chances are therefore high, as a number of reviews point out, that they sell you stale, inedible stuff. Worst of all is that Santa Rita's owners seem least bothered to face the competition and satisfy their customers.

This temple stands as one of the largest and most significant spiritual sites in the region, drawing visitors with its tranquil ambiance surrounded by lush forests and paddy fields. The temple's rich history is intertwined with local legends, including tales of Goddess Durga intervening during a celestial conflict between Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu.
Many people have benefited from this Ma Shantadurga Temple. My personal experience is same. When you visit this temple you feel so nice and happy, calmness, inner peace.
