Poole Museum, located in a converted Victorian warehouse on 4 High Street, Dorset, England, offers a comprehensive overview of the area's history spanning over 2000 years. The museum showcases various exhibits such as the Studland Bay Wreck and details about the Roman occupation and trade connections with Newfoundland. It also features artifacts like a 295 BC log boat found in Poole Harbour. Additionally, visitors can explore the town's maritime significance from ancient times to the present day.
It’s easy to walk around and good even when the weather is wet. It’s not very large, but still a nice, peaceful visit if you’re curious about Poole’s history.

Somewhat misleading as the main museum isn't open until the Autumn. We passed yesterday nothing to say it's closed so attended today,to find only the Scaplens court museum open. Great food at cafe though.
Chris W — Google review
Amazing new museum. Full of interactive exhibits for children and fascinating history. Lovely café too ☺️
Emma C — Google review
First up, it is FREE entry so already a winner. Set in an old building, but the front and upstairs cafe are brand new. Low beams in places but are easy to see and avoid. Well laid out rooms and display cabinets, activities for younger children. Not too difficult to find out interesting facts about the exhibits with a info-card number system. Worth visiting even for the well stocked and comfortable café.
Brian M — Google review
What an absolutely amazing place for locals or visitors. Came with the school when I was a boy over twenty years ago! Saw the famous wooden long boat again and it has a seriously good coffee shop, amazing balcony to have a coffee with a view. Amazing and passionate staff PERFECT FOR WET DAYS OR SEEING POOLE'S TREASURES
#DANTHEWALKINGMAN G — Google review
A nice little to visit if your in Poole it's free entry so if it's raining and you need a place to hide this can take up some time. Some nice photos in air condition rooms and history about boats on the upper floors some children's costumes to try. Over all a cheap and cheerful filler if you go to Poole
Matty W — Google review
Good museum with lots of really interesting things. All the ladies working here are really nice with big smiles and very helpful. The lady in the tearoom today was also really nice and the views on the quay make it worth popping in for refreshments when you are passing, even if you don't go around the exhibits. Lots to learn, and although we thought we knew our home area really well, I learnt even more. The highlight for me was definitely the long boat. Long is an understatement! I first saw this boat back in the 70's when it was soaking in a liquid to preserve it, in Scaplen's Court. To see it again, out of the conservation solution and in its full glory was really great. With free entry as well, what's not to like? Gave it 4 stars because we liked it, however, for us, Salisbury Museum is absolutely fantastic and really hard to beat, so it wouldn't be fair to give Poole the same as they are not on the same level.

Compilations of Poole’s history, small yet cute museum in the heart of Old Poole Town! Worth the visit to learn more about this beloved fishing village!

Located at the Fishermans Dock on Poole Quay, the RNLI Poole Old Lifeboat Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into local maritime history. The museum was Pooles lifeboat station from 1882 to 1989 and is home to the Thomas Kirk Wright, which played a crucial role in the Dunkirk evacuation in 1940. Visitors can explore this historic vessel and learn about its remarkable 23-year career as a lifeboat.
Lovely museum with lots of historical information on the walls, telling stories of past rescues, ferocious storms, and people who were a part of it all. Of course, the lifeboat on display is the main feature. The little shop has various souvenirs on offer, both for adults and children.
David L — Google review
Really nice, small, and quick museum visit. Isn’t overwhelming with loads of information and it’s enhanced with the atmosphere and decor of the place. And free entry!
Oliver D — Google review
Located in the old Poole Lifeboat house, the Poole Lifeboat Museum is definitely worth a visit. Though fairly small, the old Boathouse houses a treasure trove of exhibits, central to which is their 1938 Surf Class Lifeboat, which stands poised at the head of the old slipway, awaiting a call to service that will never come. Outside the museum building is a memorial to all those servicemen who left Poole for the Normandy Landings in June 1944. There is a small gift shop inside the museum which sells a variety of items, all in aid of the RNLI. If you are visiting Poole, add this museum to your list of places to see!

Free museum Interesting visit with lots of information on the walls. Top respect for those who risk their lives to save others. 🙌🏻

What would we do without them! A very informative little museum that tells such a story of bravery and human compassion, please if you visit don't forget to leave a donation just a swipe of a credit card leaves just £3 we all need to contribute. A little piece of maritime history...... 👍 A must visit

Very interesting, quite small but packed with information about lifeboats! Fascinating to learn about the boats that went to Dunkirk.

Great small museum with an old RNLI lifeboat inside. Free entry aswell.

Located just outside Poole and close to Bournemouth, Tower Park is a vibrant entertainment center offering a wide array of activities for visitors of all ages. The complex features a 10-screen Cineworld cinema, Splashdown indoor water park with thrilling slides and attractions, Mega Bowl for bowling enthusiasts, and Buzz Bingo for those feeling lucky.
Excellent place for the kids. Loads of slides and lots of fun inside and outside. We went on sat 5th July and the lifeguards were excellent. Happy, friendly, cheerful- it really makes a difference. Only thing that's a bit strange is that there isn't actually a normal pool for swimming 😂
Ross K — Google review
wonderful place. Vibrant with big playground. And got almost all major fast food restaurants!
Abdul B — Google review
I've been going to Tower Park since I was a kid and always loved it there! There have been a few face lifts over the years, and it looks like another one is underway, which is looking really good. This time we went to the cinema, which has recently changed to a Vue cinema. There's been a major revamp, which looks brilliant. I loved it! Lots of atmosphere, the smaller screen 3 that we were in was lovely, with nice, big reclining seats, undisturbed view, loads of leg room. My 5 year old didn't even need a booster seat! The foyer is quite different to how it was before. Its all very self service and funnels you through the various stations for popcorn, sweets, icecream, soda etc. There's also a massive double fridge of alcohol with a huge range of options and price scales. I was hoping for a coffee, but the only option was a tiny Lavazza machine in the corner, but that was the only letdown. Overall a great cinema experience and a lovely day out with my little one. I'll definitely be going back!
Fliss A — Google review
Absolutely brilliant. So many different, and varied food chains, taco bell and KFC to name a couple. Lots of different shops to visit, along with an arcade and absolutely INCREDIBLE waterpark! The area is always clean, however the car park is very crammed and there really isn't much room between cars
Ollie — Google review
Lots of leisure facilities, like splashdown, cineworld, buzz bingo, fast food and restaurants like Five Guys KFC, burger king pizza hut, taco bell, nandos, sweet shop, arcades family and over 18s.a big Tescos, big ball park and free parking but weekends can be very busy. Days all you can eat buffet restaurant shut down due healthy safety for the 3td time.
Hug D — Google review
Interesting to see but extremely crowded, hot (no fans or air conditioning) and lots of stairs. We paid to get in and nearly immediately left. It was a cool day outside too. I would hate to be there on a hot day.
Joli L — Google review
For the 1st time in ages I went to Tower Park, to the Vue cinema which was great 👍 Excellent seating!! A vast improvement on Cineworls's roller-cosster ones!! Parking spaces available and nothing negative to say.
Footy G — Google review
Lots of building work going on at the moment hopefully will be worth it in the end. The Vue cinema is now open it's nice inside not but at the moment doesn't have the same atmosphere as Cineworld did the staff were very welcoming and friendly and helpful but this is my first visit so will have to wait and see

Water & Amusement Parks
Leisure center
Splashdown, located in Poole's Tower Park complex, is a premier waterpark offering a thrilling experience for visitors of all ages. With 13 exhilarating indoor and outdoor flume rides, as well as 3 splash zones for young children, there's something for everyone. From the high-speed drop of Infinity to the rapid descent down the Screamer, there are rides tailored to different levels of bravery and group sizes.
Recently went to the Splashdown Poole and it is a fantastic waterpark, which has a mix of indoor and outdoor attractions. It’s perfect for families, with thrill slides like The Screamer and more relaxed options like the Red River Roller. The park is generally clean but can get busy, especially on weekends and holidays. Lockers are available. they just need a pound coin to use it, and staff are quite friendly. Note that some rides have height restrictions and the children area is closed for refurbishment, so younger children may have limited options, though there are plenty of family-friendly rides.
Faisal K — Google review
We visit splashdown every year for the last few years and there has never been a slide closed. There are a great variety of slides. That said, the place is getting a little tired with rust coming through here and there and the outside slides could definitely do with a jet wash. The changing rooms are always clean if a little too wet on the floor if I’m being picky. A great afternoon. (We booked 2-5pm on a Thursday of half term) and wasn’t too busy. The maximum we waited was around 10 mins for Velocity but pretty much walked on the rest of the slides. A great venue. At £22 per ticket for 3 hours it’s not too bad value for money but for a few pounds less you could book 2 hours as a cheaper alternative.
Mark — Google review
Would not go during the holidays again. Like all these places they let to many people in and you spend most of the time in queues. In 3 hours we did each slide once.
Tom P — Google review
A great, efficient and entirely enjoyable 3hrs with the kiddies! Great slides, all working bar the really bubba rings. Honestly, book 3 hrs and you will be fully slide and ringed out by the end.
Giles H — Google review
The kids had a great time. We sat outside in the seating areas for spectators which were very clean and tidy. Free drink for spectator made having to pay not so bad. Some of the slides looked a bit tired from the outside but all still safe and great fun. Value for money, 3 hours sliding for £22 each.
Helen S — Google review
I really enjoyed my time at Splashdown, there is a wide variety of high quality rides, and while the layout does leave you feeling slightly claustrophobic, they are truly just making 100% use of the space. The changing rooms were very cramped though. Luckily, the outdoor slides were open, which provided a lot more variety. Considering it was a summer holiday day, the queues were short, mostly between 5-10 minutes with one or two 20 minute queues. I think 22 pounds a person for 3 hours is fair pricing for what you get.
FarisB — Google review
Definitely an activity for those thrill seekers! Strong confident swimmers will have a wonderful time. Not really suitable for younger children at the time we went and we could not spend time as a family in the pool that was available as its only for small children and my eldest was told to leave the area by staff
Lisa G — Google review
In generall, the park is great. The rides are fun. Even though the place has seen better days, It's still a must go place if you live in the South of England. The amount of people is concerning because you spend most of the time there in a queue. But I recommend this place and will visit again.

Located in Poole, Dorset, England, Scaplen's Court Museum and Garden is housed in a historic building dating back to the 1300s. The museum features various exhibits and local artifacts, a fragrant walled herb garden, a working kitchen, a school room with children's toys from different eras, and an education center for school children. It also offers unique hands-on learning experiences for schools and is available for wedding and event hire.
Little gem hidden away next to the Museum. The garden was so pretty, & you could sit in a quiet spot & contemplate. The Café had a nice selection of food and drinks , all reasonably priced.

Delicious lunch sitting outside in the sunshine. Quiche and salad and yummy coffee. The cafe staff were excellent. Really recommend. The building and garden are beautiful. A real gem of a place.
Claire H — Google review
Just such a fabulous place to relax and enjoy the delights of the court and especially the Old Town Salt Pig. What a difference great quality food and drink makes eating in the sunshine. In fact all weathers, the sausage rolls are to die for with a gorgeous cider and Stokes brown sauce. Wow!!! What a flavour. I will certainly be purchasing some from them directly. All I can say is try it and enjoy the quiet ambiance whether the weathers is good or not so good. Chairs tables and cutlery all of good quality. I love a comfortable chair. The staff were very accommodating and friendly especially when I asked for my sausage roll to be warmed through . For me the best place to relax and enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat in Poole.
Andrew W — Google review
Newly opened we were treated to an outstanding operatic turn from a local singer. Upstairs in the main room with an art installation to accompany, we listened to songs of the sea for half an hour. What a wonderfully sympathetic restoration. Bursting with interest, new and spick and span. It’s early days but this place is sure to go from strength to strength with the right team behind it. More detail and information needs to be in each room, at the moment there is no interpretation and so much to know! Not everyone wants to speak to someone to find out. Such an incredible job of recreation and traditional craft use has been undertaken - more info about these processes would be amazing too.
Helen M — Google review
Coffee this morning at the Poole Old Town Salt Pig Cafe. Excellent cappucino and slice of banana bread which did not disappoint. Excellent service and I will be visiting again. Highly recommended if you are in Poole and fancy a coffee and a slice of cake.
Darren B — Google review
Lovely place but staff need to improve how they speak to people my son asked if they had sauces the waitress said you won't need it ! She then said you won't need salt so he repeated do you have sauce perhaps mayonnaise she just said no we don't! Very abrupt , and it wasn't that tasty could definitely use salt and sauce plus it was very expensive for what we had won't eat there again shame as we are local and its a lovely setting

Hamworthy Park is a beloved attraction in Poole, situated on the picturesque Poole Harbor. It features a sandy beach, spacious green fields, play areas for all ages, and a seasonal paddling pool. Visitors can bring their dogs to enjoy the beach and vibrant huts or watch their kids have fun in the pools. The park offers easy access with free parking, public toilets, and a snack cafe. Additionally, it provides wheelchair-friendly facilities and direct beach access by foot.
Hamworthy park is a lovely place! You can spend a full day here. The lovely beach for swimming and crabbing. The park with lots to do! The big paddling pool! Cafe. Dog friendly. Clean toilets. Picnic benches. Definitely a nice and easy day out!🥰

Lovely park, very child and dog friendly. Promenade walkway could be a little wider, but park and facilities were great.
Jenny C — Google review
Lovely relatively quiet beach. Quite pebbly so you will need beach shoes. The water is quite shallow quite a way out. The park is wonderful for the children. There is a play area and a huge grassed area. Lots of space even on a busy day.
Janice N — Google review
Lovely place for little ones. Large shallow splash pool, swings, slides, etc. Little cafe for tea and coffee and snacks. Lots of benches. Long, Narrow beach with beach huts. Only problem is almost no parking at the park or the streets near by.

great trail with off shoot trails and pump section.very steep road to get to top.uplifts in season.only been out of season.free car park and great cafe.

Very scenic area with great views. Dog friendly but there's always owners who think non dog owners want their dogs coming over. Paddling pool wasn't filled as end of summer but assume would be great as very large. Good swings and kids playground with a small cafe but coffee wasn't great. Parking isn't free but not too expensive
Judy R — Google review
A lovely park with something for everyone! Hamworthy Park is a peaceful and family-friendly place perfect for a relaxing day out. Playground: Great for kids – the playground is well-equipped, safe, and has plenty of space to run around. What really surprised me was the small paddling pool for children – completely free to use! A fantastic bonus on a warm day. Toilets: Clean and easily accessible. A big plus, especially for families with children. Dog-friendliness: This park is very dog-friendly. Lots of open space and walking paths for dogs to enjoy, and people are generally respectful with their pets. Picnic area: Plenty of grassy spots and benches where you can relax and enjoy a meal. Great views of the water and enough space to spread out without feeling crowded. The only downside is the limited parking – it can be tricky to find a spot during busy times. Still, a highly recommended spot for families, dog owners, or anyone looking to enjoy nature by the sea – and it’s all free!

Poole Quay is a charming and historic area in the heart of Poole, England. It offers stunning views of Poole Harbour and the Purbeck Hills, making it an ideal base for exploring the region. The old town is rich with well-preserved Georgian buildings, while nearby attractions include Corfe Castle and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. As Dorset's largest town, Poole boasts one of the world's largest natural harbours and a vibrant seaside atmosphere.
Our visit to Poole Quay Boat Haven Even without arriving by boat, Poole Quay Boat Haven offers an absolutely delightful experience for visitors arriving by car. Our recent trip was a fantastic day out, filled with stunning sights, pleasant strolls, and classic seaside treats. Driving into Poole was straightforward, and finding parking near the Quay was surprisingly easy, allowing us to quickly get to the heart of the action. The convenience of being able to park and immediately step into such a vibrant area was a huge plus. The main attraction for us was undoubtedly the incredible array of boats and yachts moored in the Haven. We spent a good amount of time simply walking along the quayside, admiring the diverse range of vessels, from sleek, modern yachts to charming traditional boats. It's a truly impressive sight, and even if you're not a sailor, the sheer beauty and variety of the boats are captivating. It felt like walking through an open-air boat show! Beyond the boats, the vibrant atmosphere of Poole Quay itself was infectious. We enjoyed a leisurely stroll, popping into the charming shops that line the front. There's a lovely mix of unique boutiques and gift shops making for a very pleasant browsing experience. No trip to the seaside is complete without fish and chips, and we weren't disappointed! We found a fantastic spot right on the front, enjoying our delicious meal with the bustling harbour as our backdrop. It was the perfect way to soak in the lively ambiance and enjoy the fresh sea air. Poole Quay Boat Haven isn't just for boat owners; it's a fantastic destination for anyone looking for a relaxed and engaging day out. The combination of impressive maritime views, charming shops, and delicious food makes it a must-visit. We highly recommend it for families, couples, or anyone looking to enjoy the quintessential British seaside experience, all easily accessible by car.

An Afternoon Sensory and Visual Delight Visited the Boat Haven on a lovely afternoon and was completely captivated. The light was absolutely perfect for photography—the golden afternoon sun glinting off the pristine white hulls and the water created stunning reflections and compositions at every turn. Of course, the magnificent boats are a sight to behold, but what I loved most was the profound sense of peace. The quiet environment, broken only by the distant cries of pelicans and seabirds, provided a serene natural soundtrack. It’s a photographer's paradise and a perfect place to sit on a bench, soak in the atmosphere, and get lost in the moment. A fantastic experience that engages all the senses and rewards any camera lens.
Sadia T — Google review
Very clean and well looked after. The staff are friendly and helpful. All the facilities you need – clean showers, toilets, water, and electricity. It’s right on the quay, so you can walk to lots of restaurants, cafés, and shops. The view of the harbour is lovely, and it’s a great place to stay if you want to visit Brownsea Island or Sandbanks. Can get busy in summer, so it’s best to book in advance. Highly recommend!
Rashid A — Google review
There was a seafood festival happening when we visited on Saturday 13th of September 2025. It was very busy but the atmosphere was really good. No doubt with the throng of people around us. We stopped at one of the restaurants and had a very nice meal and then took one of the cruises out to Isle of Pirbeck. Nice day. We're worth the visit.
Mark R — Google review
Lovely spot busy on summer evenings especially Friday when classic sportscar meeting is on. I visited the quieter Antelope on the High Street for a couple of drinks no queuing friendly staff beer garden and reasonably priced. 😎

Great cruise, fair prices, great nice activity in a sunny day. Nice area, good cafes to spend lovely time with family after a cruise.

Very large Harbour which is Europes largest natural harbour. Beautiful boats and cafes, pubs and resturants. Plenty of seating alongside the water to sit and chill. Boat trips are available to go on.
Sue R — Google review
Lovely area, and great seeing all the boats in the water. We went on a fish N chip cruise which was lovely... Usual extortionate prices for these places in the bar, but the cruise was great! I'm sure the commentary was just as good, but unfortunately we had a family of londonets beside us, who were very very loud and flamboyant so we missed what the places etc were on the cruise. Lots of places to eat and drink on the marina, so u won't starve or fall of thirst 😁 Didn't get my poole fridge magnet though 😭😭😂

It features multi-level soft play areas with slides, tunnels, and a ball pool. The venue also includes a role play village with various themed setups like a house, school, shop, fire station, and garage. There are dedicated areas for different age groups including under 8s and older children.
Very large site, so kids have no time to be bored. Well organized event. We just selected base option after hours for the party but were nicely surprised with extras & the way that it has been conducted. From the very beginning you do feel welcomed and guided on what to expect. Kids started with wall climbing through soft play time ending with food and cake. Animal balloon modelling was a nice touch - kids loved it. Staff were very helpful and kind. Highly recommended. Perhaps it is a bit pricey than others but we did save a little last year and it was a disaster. You get what you pay for. They even automatically refunded guests cost that did not turned up. Did not expect that at all. Very pleased and thanks for the Lemur Landing Team to make my daughter beautiful memories. Lenny

Very helpful staff, bit too eager to clear our table though of half eaten meals of the kids, baring in mind they're in and out of the play area, nibble here, drink there lol. The soft play area can be a bit brutal even with the key word being (soft) My boy also stumped his toes on the lose metal strips that join the sections of floor together on the way past the tables to the toilet. Pretty dangerous after I felt how lose they were, you can get your fingers under the straps. Major trip hazard. The kids enjoyed the climbing wall which is safer then those floor strips 🤣🤣 The man supervising the climbing was very patient and attentive to my boys who wanted to climb, I say patient as my youngest was in and out of the harnesses from one to the other. Only issue is not being allowed our own healthy snacks due to our own dietary needs. 2 coffees, a bowl of chips and 3 cookies cost £15... ouch!! Got you by the short n curlies there... Mediocre experience, will be back as the kids love it. Fix that floor... 😳🙄

We've been here twice on a UK break. The kids love it. I like that you get soft play, role play, wall climb, mini aerial adventure, and an interactive wall game under one roof. There's plenty of seating around and a cafe for hot/cold drinks and hot food.

My young family and I visited this place twice in a fortnight and both times we had a blast. The dress up area has been revamped since our previous visit last year, so that's looking much nicer. I'd also like to give special praise to Ashton, as he was so kind and helpful during both of our visits, and I think he's a real credit to yiur team.

We've just had a birthday party at lemur landing. Sadly we had very bad experience and now after reading previous reviews i've now come to the conclusion the owner's-management are never going to change until 1: Some one takes them to court for a serious incident or 2: It effects the owners in the pocket so this will sound bitter but i hope it's the latter. I'm going to fair and start of on the good points, 1: Young member of staff assigned to our party can make balloon swords or dog's. (I can't) 2: The party room was clean: 3: There's a lot there for kids to be entertained for hours. Now the bad points. 1: Arrival: A young lad that you could see was stressed and struggling to keep reception going we waited 10 minutes to be let in so we could set up our room for party. 2: The soft ball air gun's 4 out of 6 guns weren't working and a one you can see the hose is snapped and blows compressed air in your face. 3: Our daughter cut her lip on that main soft play section. I asked a member of staff for napkins to clean the blood up, They weren't bothered and just pointed me to napkin stand. (So hope at some point this area gets cleaned) My partner also mentioned to another member about the blood on my daughters face and didn't show any compassion. So we delayed the food coming out so she could be cleaned up. 4: Lola the lemur the mascot was a disappointment and didn't want to engage with children. 5: Value for money sadly not. The employee's there are young and i understand there not always going to having the best days so they need the management to incentive them and provide more support when there busy . The staff are public facing so every once in a while they just need to fake a smile to make it look like there happy to be there to give customers a nice time. Looking after children is hard work and we go there for some fun and break. So in two words DON'T GO, go elsewhere and maybe the owners will get the message.

Fantastic for all ages. Rock climbing walls for the older ones, dress up role play for the little ones. Soft play area for big ones and separate toddler soft play area. Highly recommend for an indoor family day.
Suri L — Google review
I have a 10 month old, was looking for something to do with the whole family on an overcast day. The baby section leaves a sour taste in the mouth for what I paid ( under 1s is same price as an adult). The lil kids soft climbing area was overrun with kids from the "model village" bits and bobs. There is no ball pit. Finally the last straw was two older women trying to stealth vape in front of the baby section. I reported it, but the staff only put out a psa on the tanoy.
Samantha N — Google review
Great for kids of all ages (up to 5ft 2). The play frame is massive but there are also climbing walls and a dress up/imagination area. There are 2 smaller areas for younger children and babies. Sessions during peak times are 2 1/2 hours and off peak they don't have a time limit. Food from the cafe is good but a little pricey. They have hot and cold options for both food and drink and some sweet treats available. Parties are brilliant here. The only reason this doesn't have 5 stars is that the coat for adults is just unreasonable - £4.10 just to come in and observe the kids running around. You do have the pre book tickets via the website you can not just turn up.

The Oceanarium, situated on Bournemouth Pier, is a captivating aquarium that provides an educational and entertaining experience for visitors. It offers a variety of activities such as feeding sessions with reef sharks, stingrays, turtles, otters, and penguins. The aquarium showcases diverse marine species including Nemo's friends - the clownfish, sharks, crocodiles, reptiles, and seahorses.
Great place! I really liked it! Everything is clean and there are great conditions for the pets! The fish are so beautiful! Turtles, sharks and rays... children can see everything very closely! The penguins are so curious and you can watch them for hours. Thanks for the wonderful and positive moments to all the staff. I will definitely bring my daughter and grandchildren here. I recommend it to everyone!💖

Great oceanarium to see a large variety of sea creatures including sharks penguins and a giant turtle! There is a small kids area halfway round for a little break and a couple of cafes with small areas to eat. It is a bit of an odd layout and there can be a bit of a wait for the lift to get to the buggy park. Having the tunnel to see the sharks being fed is great fun. It took us about 1.5 hours to go round and listen to one of the talks.
Luke O — Google review
I went to the oceanarium for their shark feeding experience and it was so much fun! The guide, Lucas, was very nice and explained the whole process very well. After the experience I walked around the rest of the oceanarium and the place as a whole is very interesting with a lot of animals I haven't seen at other aquariums or ocenariums. Over all a fantastic place to visit!

A visit to Bournemouth Aquarium proved you can spend time while making the most of the town, making it an excellent choice for families particularly those with young children. The compact yet thoughtfully designed space offers an engaging mix of marine life and educational content, ideal for a half-day excursion regardless of the weather.Accessibility is a standout feature: a dedicated pram park, full wheelchair compatibility, and clear stair routes ensure smooth navigation for all visitors. The staff are courteous, well-informed, and deliver informative feeding talks throughout the day, adding real value to the experience. A Blue Light discount is also available, which is a welcome gesture. Minor areas for improvement include inconsistent hand sanitiser availability and a need for slightly better overall cleanliness. The on-site café offers convenient refreshments but has limited seating and premium pricing. The small indoor play area caters well to toddlers but feels restrictive for children aged 7 and above.Crowds build quickly, and some viewing areas can feel cramped during peak times. Visiting early or on a weekday will provide a more relaxed and immersive experience.Verdict: A well-executed, family-friendly attraction with strong educational value and thoughtful accessibility. Minor operational tweaks would elevate it further such as more interactions and more sea life. Highly recommended especially for little ones.

I just wanted to take the time and probably ramble a little on how amazing Chris was with my son when we came for the penguin experience. It was my son’s 10th birthday present, so had a lot of high expectations. A little back story my son Nicholas fell in love with penguins at Bournemouth oceanarium and had a small penguin teddy since he was a baby. And his love has just grown over the years. When I saw that you had this experience I knew it would an amazing present for him. I want sure what to expect but still what expectation I did have were far exceeded!! Chris was amazing, friendly, kind and patient. His knowledge was mind blowing and we learnt so much. You can honestly see and feel the love and care Chris has for all the animals you have. This is a great day out! Loads to learn and see and the team are amazing!

Very enjoyable day out. Loved seeing the animals. Other than the gentleman at the entrance the staff didn't seem very happy or enthusiastic, even when feeding & giving talks.

We went for the Penguin Keeper Experience and it was incredible and so worth the money!! Chris was friendly and he was amazing at showing us around, teaching us things and giving us the best experience possible, thank you. We got a private tour of the aquarium, got to feed the fish and otters and most importantly got a lot of time with the penguins. It was such a fun date morning and I would highly recommend ! 🐧

Bournemouth Pier, originally built in 1856 as a small jetty, has evolved into a Victorian pier featuring an amusement arcade, a variety theatre, and a cafe. Spanning over 1000ft long, it has been rebuilt multiple times due to storms and wartime precautions. Positioned at the heart of Bournemouth's beach, the pier serves as a starting point for seaside walks and offers various shops and attractions along its length.
Bournemouth Beach: The Perfect Spot for Family and Friends Bournemouth Beach is an exceptional destination for those looking to enjoy quality time with family and friends. With its seven miles of golden sand and consistently high rankings among the UK's top beaches (even voted #1 in the UK by TripAdvisor in 2024), it offers ample space for relaxation and play. The beach is well-equipped with amenities to ensure a comfortable visit, including cafes, restaurants, kiosks, and readily available toilets with baby changing facilities. Lifeguard patrols are active from early April to late September, providing peace of mind. For added convenience, beach huts, deckchairs, sunbeds, windbreaks, and parasols are available for hire. Beyond the sun and sand, Bournemouth Beach and its surrounding area offer a wealth of activities. The iconic Bournemouth Pier is a hub of entertainment, featuring: * RockReef: An indoor activity attraction with climbing walls, high ropes, and the world's first pier-to-shore zip wire, offering a thrilling experience for all ages. * Amusement Arcades: Classic seaside fun for all the family. * Key West Bar & Grill: A popular spot for food and drink. For those looking to explore further, the Bournemouth Land Train runs along the promenade, making it easy to travel between different sections of the beach, including to Boscombe Pier. The nearby Lower Gardens also offer a beautiful green oasis with mini-golf and tropical greenhouses. Whether you're building sandcastles, taking a refreshing dip in the "warmest sea temperatures in the UK," or trying out watersports like paddleboarding or surfing, Bournemouth Beach provides a fantastic backdrop for memorable moments with loved ones. It's a place where relaxation meets excitement, ensuring a great time for everyone.

The pier itself is alright. Although, other than the zip line, restaurant and doughnut stand, there is nothing of interest for adults. A couple rides for the kids but is a bit pricey. The amusement arcade at the start of the pier are very busy due to them being the only decent one in the area. Great view from it though

A beautiful sandy beach and pier with the feeling of the Mediterranean to it. Plenty of eating places and things to do. Excellent for evening walks and just for relaxing. I would highly recommend to visit during summer with the good weather and longer days. Ideal for families and for those who want to chill!

The view was absolutely stunning — the sea, the fresh breeze, and the peaceful atmosphere made it such a relaxing experience. There’s something magical about being near the water. We really enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. A perfect spot for a calm walk or just to take in the beauty of the coast!

Beautiful spot with stunning sea views and a relaxing atmosphere. Great place for a walk, photos, or just enjoying the ocean breeze. There are fun activities nearby, plus cafés and ice cream stalls. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone visiting Bournemouth!

The beach is beautifully maintained and provides a perfect balance between relaxation and activity. Families appreciate the safe swimming waters, lifeguard-patrolled zones, and gentle waves that make it ideal for children. Those seeking adventure can enjoy water sport such as surfing, while the picturesque pier adds a touch of classic seaside charm with arcades, cafés, and entertainment.

Not a lot to do on the pier but it was free to visit in September. There is a café at the end serving good food and tasty coffee. The zip line is very expensive. Just by the pier is a big wheel like the London Eye. £10 per adult is expensive but you get great views of Bournemouth.

The Russell Cotes Art Gallery & Museum is a captivating historic house located in Bournemouth, England. Built by Merton Russell-Cotes as a birthday gift for his wife Annie in 1901, this extravagant Art Nouveau-style villa overlooks the sea and showcases the couple's love for art, travel, world cultures, and natural history. The museum features an impressive collection of British art, along with oriental souvenirs gathered from around the globe by the Russell-Cotes family.
What a unique place! This beautiful building was lovingly created by Merton Russell Coates and his wife Annie. It has now been donated to Bournemouth as a museum. There are many beautiful paintings and sculptures, but the building itself is worth a visit. And what a beautiful garden and terrace! I decided to find out more about these people. This is an amazing story of a couple who traveled the world collecting all the treasures. I am absolutely delighted! I recommend everyone to visit this place and touch the history of this house and its history!

Art gallery and museum in a well thought out Victorian setting, and thoughtful inclusiveness. Such a beautiful architectural building and gardens blending old and contemporary, located on the seafront pedestrian walkway half way up the hill east of the Promenade, with large public car park a minutes walk away. Wonderful modern cafe and charming sea views. All the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Well worth a visit, allow a couple of hours. Entry charge to the galleries, but the cafe and shop are free to enter.
Paul U — Google review
A real find! Not only does this gallery have an incredible main collection, it often has well curated special exhibitions - at the moment there is one on May Morris, which is well worth catching. The building itself is absolutely stunning, and a big reason to visit. All of the architecture is so interesting you'll spend half your time staring at the walls, ceiling and incredible views. The gallery has a number of paintings by Edwin Long, which are beautiful. I couldn't help but buy a number of prints. And the tea room makes a lovely sandwich too! This was my second visit and I'll be back again, no doubt.
Rx F — Google review
An absolute highlight of my tour of Bournemouth and the surrounding areas, I just happened to go on a day when entry was free, however, I would definitely have happily paid full price, I did in fact make a donation. Once you get to the main museum part of the building, you will find a collection like no other. It is part art gallery, part museum rolled into one building that is as stunning on the outside as it is on the inside. My one tip would be, don't forget to look up at the ceilings in every room (they're nearly as wonderful as the collection)
Matt R — Google review
We easily spent 2+ hours between the cafe and visiting the many rooms. It's amazing how much these people collected and what was considered acceptable in those days to be displayed to visitors. Those who appreciate the arts and crafts of the Victorian period will appreciate what's to be found here. Lifts are available to get you to most places in the building.
Robin B — Google review
The jewel in Bournemouth's art and architecture crown. Fascinating Victorian collection in the home gifted to the town by Sir Merton and Lady Russell-Cotes. As well as the museum of the house there is extensive art galleries for the collection of paintings and sculptures and a exhibition gallery with regularly changing exhibits and displays. The cafe area, gift shop and family history introduction video's and displays, as well as the gardens are all free of charge. Just ask at reception. You'll spend hours and still discover some artifact you missed from last time. A five star rating is not enough for this museum and art galleries. Definitely more than a 'rainy day' alternative, the views of the beach, sea and purbeck hills are spectacular.
George F — Google review
A truly delightful and almost hypnotic museum and art gallery, definitely a must-visit in Bournemouth. The Russell Cotes Art Gallery, with its extensive history, holds the unique distinction, not only of its blend of classic and contemporary art forms and styles, but how they seamlessly blend the two together in a fantastically visceral way. The staff are also very helpful and kind too. Definitely a place to get lost in if youre in the area!

Saw Blood Brothers - was outstanding. Lovely venue. Great bar and chill out areas. Lovely and clean. Downside (so 4 stars) - Seats don’t have much leg room, but fitted my 34” legs. Can’t squeeze past people so up and down during seating. That’s ok but demonstrates the narrowness of the seating rows.

Such a fabulous venue for live music. Saw Paul Weller here on 4/4/24 and it was utterly magic. Great size to be big enough for a good crowd but yet still managing to be intimate enough that no matter where you are you have a good view. It has a fabulous floor too!!! It moves!!! With everyone jumping and dancing you could actually feel the motion and it heightened all the fun and drama, truly magical place. Toilets were a little on the small side for the amount of people but the queue for these even at peak times wasn't too bad and the bar was very fast service. I'll be keeping an eye on future events here for sure.

We spent 3hours here, which was just the right amount of time. It was £59 for a family of 4 which for a main event for the day was OK. If I had spent that amount of time in an archade paying ech time we played it would have been much more. We ordered a milkshake which was delicious. All in all a fun day out especially if the weather is wet.

Absolutely amazing place to have a birthday party for kids, staff are great, it really is a gem, no corporate rubbish making it feel like you shouldn’t be touching the machines, everything is relaxed, kids get amazing portions and the food is great as well lots of options for all diets, we had a wonderful time and our son said it was “the best day of his life” I would recommend it to any parent looking to have a relaxed birthday party as the kids are allowed to be kids, it’s location is great as if they need a breather they can just head out the front for some fresh air without any worries. I’m sure we will be back another year for a party and a few times to have some fun.

We were having difficulty with the app so I rang the Dolphin leisure centre this morning 2/2/2025, I spoke to a young man called Leon and explained the problem, he said he'd be there till 5pm if we wanted to call in and he'd help me with it, Leon was very patient and helpful he showed us round the premises and even helped my partner set up the app on her phone, and helped her book her first few sessions, this young man is a credit to the BCP leisure group, and they need a few more like him, best of luck Leon keep up the good work, Mike Freeman and Maggie Plateroti

Not a bad 25m swimming pool + a smaller boom pool and diving pool. The water temp is slightly on the chilly side, but that keeps you moving! Paid car park. Mixed changing is warm and clean although there is a relatively limited number of showers. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Today, when I took my child to swimming lessons, I stopped by the front desk to ask about the two missed classes during Christmas break, and what should be done about it. There was a female employee with brunette hair, graying hairs and wearing black glasses sitting at the front desk. She said rudely, "Didn't I tell you before?" I was frightened by her abruptly unreasonable tone and said, "My child hasn't come to class for two weeks since Christmas. Today is the first time I'm asking you!" I think many of the children's parents are asking the same question. She must have mistaken me for one of the parents who resembles me, so I tried to sympathise. But when I took my child in to change clothes, I found that I brought my goggles (adult) ones instead of my child's. I was worried that they were not suitable for my child, so I went to the front desk again to ask the employee if I could borrow their spares children's swimming goggles and return them after the lesson. Because there were one or two times before, I forgot to bring my child's swimming goggles and their employees were very friendly and provided help. But this time I got her callous response: "No." Her malicious expression on her face made me terrified. Why does the staffs' and teachers' kind and compassionate service need to be ruined by one bad apple? Or maybe she just showed a different service attitude to Asian faces like me. In today's world, she still sticks to old ideas of racial discrimination. I am really ashamed of her behavior. The front desk is a job that directly interacts with guests. Her behavior is representative of the company. She is really not suitable for this job and she is also unable to be responsible for it either.

Safe to say this facility has improved so much! Everyone Active should be ashamed of themselves! Before the council took over this place was absolutely disgusting. It used to smell horrific in the changing areas, the showers used to never work, the pool was showing signs on mould and it used to look really dated. Since the Council took over, all these things have improved massively. They have also started putting toilet cleaner down the toilets. If this was still an Everyone Active ran facility. I would of said run for your lifes. But it is so much better. The only thing i would say is that they should improve on keeping the floors a bit cleaner but other then that, the place is really improving. Good job BCP Leisure staff!

Good sized pool. Staff friendly. Wished they’d kept the pool at the original size. Its got a bit chaotic since BCP took over. More lessons have been taking up the medium lane so it feels more cramped. The second hairdryer broke months ago and not been replace. Dust in vents above pool. Showers sometimes out of order in members room. Lockers are broken. Pool is sometimes very chilly. It needs some renovation.
Lulu L — Google review
The standard of swimming lessons delivered is great, but unfortunately that’s where the positives end. Over the last couple of months, the management of this centre has gone downhill. More too often the gents toilets downstairs are out of order, the younger receptionists (except one) are mostly quite rude and seemingly uninterested in being there. Above the pool, the vents are full of huge mounds of dust, which drop into the pool. The viewing area for the pool is great, but is always really hot. Overall, the place is tired and is in desperate need of some money being spent on it to bring it up to the standards that reflect the charges they are making.

Went in to enquire about becoming a member and the lady at reception pointed to the different areas and said I could go ahead and take a look around by myself and then proceeded to talk to a family who had been waiting. Pretty poor experience, needless to say I walked out after 5 minutes

Hamworthy Beach is a delightful hidden gem that offers a perfect blend of relaxation and fun for families, including furry friends. With its charming beach huts lining the shore, this sandy and shingle beach provides ample space for children to play and dogs to roam freely. The nearby Hamworthy Park enhances the experience with its fantastic children's playground, where kids can swing and climb while their pets enjoy some shade under trees.
I can't say anything more than absolutely stunning. It's so peaceful, and beautiful scenery. Nice and quiet too. Lovely place to take your doggo for a walk too! Will be visiting many times before I leave:)
Olivia A — Google review
The beach part is a little lacking. Narrow strip or relatively mucky sand. But being close to a large field and also park means this is still a decent place to go with kids. It did at least have a water station available to rinse off the worst of the sand.
Katie F — Google review
We came here as it was the closest beach to our camp site. Glad we did. It’s a small stretch of beach cladded with beach huts. The views were beautiful and being evening time it was relatively peaceful. There is a huge play park and paddling pool for litluns if needs be. Plenty of green space. I noticed a cafe on other side of park - my guess is that during the day this place must get busy. 5 stars as it’s a lovely place to stretch yours and your dogs legs.
Mark N — Google review
Lovely park to walk your elderly, flat going and a snack bar as well! You can hire a beach hut in advance right on the promenade and watch the sail boarders do their stuff! You can park your car in the paid carpark in the middle or park on the west side in the residential area like the locals.

It's OK, pretty small and not the nicest beach for swimming. No facilities. Mostly sandy but was pretty windy, so lots of people doing watersports like windsurfing and kitesurfing. Also very hard to park as limited spaces.

If you're looking for a cozy escape from the rain, Vue Cinema Poole is the perfect destination for your next movie outing. Recently opened and in pristine condition, this cinema boasts impressively comfortable seating that makes it easy to settle in for a long film—perfect for those who might doze off! The seats recline and offer ample legroom, ensuring even taller guests can stretch out without feeling cramped.
Very happy that the cinema here is back and I was very impressed. The self-service refreshments area is very smart and plentiful. Wish I'd taken the time to browse it properly whilst it was quiet. The staff were lovely and helpful. One guy greeted me whilst I was browsing as if we were old friends. Loved the cinema itself, I booked the mid-range seats and honestly thought I was in the wrong row, but no, I had my own little table and the seat reclined and had a foot rest. Loved it!
G M — Google review
What an absolutely extraordinary experience we had on opening day! The staff greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm, making us feel truly welcome. The cinema itself was nothing short of luxurious, with its elegant design and plush seating that elevated our movie-watching experience to a whole new level. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, making it a memorable outing we won't soon forget!
George S — Google review
Having recently opened, the cinema is in great condition. I was surprised by how good the seating was. I only booked standard seats, but they were very comfortable which can be dangerous for someone like me who can be known to fall asleep in a cinema! The seats reclined and I could stretch my legs out straight (despite having long legs) and still not touch the seat in front! A handy table for the kids to put their popcorn and drinks and the sound and visuals were good. All in, it was great.
Tony C — Google review
Went the day before new opening and it was fantastic!!!! Great service, friendly staff, luxe seats throughout, excellent sound and picture quality. Can't wait to go back.
Lisa O — Google review
I went to Vue Poole today with a friend and the cinema itself is great. I absolutely love that every seat is a recliner! in my opinion, there’s no point watching a movie in an uncomfortable chair, so that was a big plus. The staff were also really friendly and helpful, which made the visit more enjoyable. Ticket prices for the film seemed fair too. However, the food and drink pricing was a real let-down. Everywhere you look, the “box deal” (1 large item, 1 snack, 1 drink) is advertised, but nowhere is the price shown. The smallest popcorn available was £7, which is already steep, so I went for the box deal thinking it would be better value. At checkout it came to £16.99 – honestly shocking. Overall, the cinema is brilliant in terms of comfort and staff, but the incredibly overpriced snacks and unclear pricing make the experience feel disappointing. I will never make the mistake of buying any drink or food item there again.
Alex P — Google review
Visited Vue Poole for the first time and had a wonderful experience. All the staff very so welcoming, enthusiastic and helpful. The most basic seats were incredibly comfortable and represented such great value for money. We also liked how incredibly dark the room became once the film started, so much more immersive . We’re big film fans and will definitely be visiting often. Thank you for a great experience ☺️🩵🦋
Ryan S — Google review
What an upgrade! Perfect experience and reasonably priced. We loved the layout with the new reclining chairs and every chair has its own table. 10/10 would recommend
Shannon L — Google review
Very impressive. Hard to see the old cinema, which is a positive. Looks and smells so new and clean and the seats are mega comfortable. Like the layout as you go in, not sure how it'll work when it's super busy but looks the part and very happy with so much self service. Shame time wasn't spent on the ceilings, first thing we noticed, how grubby they looked. My husband almost broke his ankle on the stable doors leading back into the food and drink area, they shut so fast, it clipped his ankle on the way out.

If I could give them a 0 I would. Absolute disgrace. Waited for ages and called multiple times to eventually be told that they weren't even opening but didn't have common sense/decency to put it on their website or fb page. Now I've got 2 very disappointed children. Rubbish customer service. I do not recommend. Definitely avoid.

Had great couple of hours with stand up boards and kayaking. Never done SUP before but staff member spent 5 minutes giving brief instruction, she was very good. Myself and daughter both managed to stand up and paddle, and fell in of course countless times. Very friendly and reasonably priced. It is first come first served and can be busy with kids group activities being run.
Andrew P — Google review
I have 3 disabled children who require a carer each to be able to take part in activities. With this in mind, I called Rockley Watersports in advance, to book our visit to ride on the pedalos. I was told that the pedalos did not need to be booked in advance, and that we should just turn up. I double checked that this would be the case, even if we wanted to take out 3 boats. I was assured that I should just turn up when we wanted to ride, and directed to the website, which gave the same information. On that basis, I booked 2 carers to help me and we all went to Poole Park to take the trip that the kids were super excited about. When we arrived, we were told that we should have booked. I was cross that I had hired carers, but asked to book for the next day instead. Then I was told that I wasn't able to book in advance, but I needed to turn up "first thing in the morning" to book for the afternoon. Unfortunately, it simply isn't possible to hang around all day with people with disabilities, and it would require hiring carers again, so due to the, frankly, bizarre and discriminatory "booking system", my children will miss out on this activity. I have not yet received a response to my email regarding this matter. I would strongly recommend against using this facility.

My family thought booking a pedalo last Saturday. Booked for 3.30pm, turned up on time, none available, had to wait 25 mins before we got one. Staff claiming other customers had over run their time and there's nothing they could do. Once in the pedalo, one of pedals broke, poor quality and although the female staff member was very apologetic. The while system wasn't her fault. I wasn't offered a refund despite the fact the pedalo broke. I asked for her manager to call me on Monday, this didn't happen. I'm not the pedalo was even safe to have a 2 adults and 2 children as there was no suitable.space for my kids. Overall a disappointing experience for my kids. There's so many other great things to do around the area, I'd advise people to think twice .

Sandbanks Beach, often referred to as Britain's Palm Beach, is a stunning destination that promises an unforgettable experience on the Dorset coast. This picturesque peninsula, which juts into Poole Harbour from Bournemouth, boasts soft golden sands and breathtaking views of the English Channel. Known for its luxurious waterfront mansions and elite neighborhood, Sandbanks is not just about opulence; it offers a vibrant atmosphere with ice cream kiosks, amusements, and miniature golf lining the promenade.
I love it. I love the sand dunes as well. Big parking lot but at weekends it can get really busy so make sure you come as early as possible to ensure your parking spot. Rick Stein's restaurant is very near by but needs a booking, especially during the summer season.
Krasimira V — Google review
Beautiful sandy beach. Perfect spot for sunbathing, reading, people watching and walking. I stayed in Sandbanks and was lucky there was a footpath leading straight onto the beach. I walked the promenade to Bournemouth. Roughly an hour and half's leisurely walk. Maybe less, I get distracted, and there's a lot to see along the way. And of course, ice cream opportunities! The only down side was the curious dogs. It's a dog friendly beach so no leash required. Luckily I'm not afraid of them but it was a tad annoying! All in all, one of the best beaches in the UK.
Payal S — Google review
Outstanding, beautiful beach. Fine yellow sand, almost white. Water is clear and on a sunny day you can see to the bottom at the waters edge. There's life guards and there's even a cash machine next to the beach if needed. It's wonderful, a jewel of a beach. A little bit of Miami beach along the coastline of Poole, Dorset without the 10hr flight.

Sandbanks Beach is now my favourite beach in England. The sand is soft, white, and truly beautiful. There’s plenty of space to relax, so it never feels too crowded. The beach is long and much wider than others I’ve visited around the country, which makes it perfect for a peaceful day out. There’s also convenient parking and a lifeguarded area for added safety. I loved taking long walks along the shore, it’s calm, scenic, and just what I needed to unwind.
TJ M — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches I’ve seen in England ,definitely worth a visit! The sand is golden, wonderfully soft, and very fine-grained, so it never hurts your feet. The sea is crystal clear, bright blue, and perfectly clean. Especially in August, there are plenty of sunny, bright days. The beach is long and wide, yet it doesn’t get as crowded as other beaches. Both the sand and the water are spotless. There’s a National Trust car park ,lucky for members! At the entrance, there’s a mobile café where you can get drinks and snacks. In short, it’s the perfect summer holiday beach. I highly recommend it, and I’d like to thank everyone who works to keep this place so beautiful.
Mrs. G — Google review
This is one of my favourite beaches. The sand is really light, there is a ice cream/coffee hut and a food hut, toilets and lifeguards. There are little beach huts to rent also. Bbqs are allowed but it is a well maintained space so there are plenty of bins. There is a gentle shelf here so it doesn't get too deep too quick. Mostly there is a minimal current so safe for kids. Lots of parking but it does fill up. Its flat and easily accessible so no long trek for little ones and those that struggle a bit with mobility. Great for water sports as there is a harbour near by with lots of space for boarding etc. Poole harbour itself is awesome to explore.
Andrew L — Google review
Cozy place to go to the beach with or without company. Very good restaurant close by and the sandy beach is just lovely. Lifeguards is just next to you in the beach, makes you feel much safer.

Farmer Palmer's Farm Park is a top attraction in Dorset for families, offering a wide range of activities designed for children aged 0 to 8. The park features indoor and outdoor play areas, farm animals, woodland trails, and a seasonal maize maze. Kids can enjoy fun rides like the Bumpy Tractor-Trailer Ride and Pedal Go-karts.
We visited Farmer Palmer’s on a rainy Monday during the summer holidays. Although we had pre-booked online, it was surprisingly quiet—likely due to the weather. Despite the rain, we had a fantastic day! My 3-year-old and my friend’s 4-year-old were absolutely in their element. There was so much for them to enjoy: they held guinea pigs, fed the deer and goats, and even my 1-year-old loved the bumpy tractor ride (an extra cost of £2.50 each and under 2s were free). The kids explored all the play areas and had a blast on the dinosaur trail. We stayed from 10am until 4:30pm and never once felt bored! I’d highly recommend it for a family day out. We brought a picnic for lunch and found plenty of spots to sit and eat. We ended the day with a cup of tea and an ice cream in the café—great value at just £5.50 for both. The staff and animal care team were very friendly and polite! Initially, I thought the £20 ticket price for anyone over 2 seemed a bit steep, but considering how much we did and how long we stayed, it turned out to be excellent value. There were still activities we didn’t get to! I’d definitely return in the future—100% worth it. (Updated from a 4 star review I made 6 months ago)

Had a lovely few hours here in the sunshine. The place is quite small and definitely geared more towards younger children, probably best suited for those under 7. The animal feeding is free and a lot of fun — a real highlight! Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. The dinosaur walk was pleasant, with a nice path around a pond. However, it does feel quite expensive for what’s on offer, considering the size and scope of the attractions.

We love this place, we have 3 kids under 10 and they were kept busy from 9:30am until 4pm. Food is sensibly priced and very nice, staff are all ace, toilets are spotlessly clean. I cannot fault the place 😀

Bought the winter season ticket, very good value if you visit regularly. I was advised to book a spot in advance even though I have a season ticket as it can get busy during half term and Christmas school holidays. Took my 14 month old grandson and he loved it. Lots said animals to pet and lots of age appropriate activities.

Wonderful place to visit with young children. A range of indoor and outdoor activities to keep them entertained including a soft play centre, and always a programme of activities going on throughout the day such as animal feeding, goat racing and milking demonstrations. We're lucky enough to have an annual pass which makes it pretty goof value for money.

Pletty of Family fun for the whole day. Tractor rides £1.50, bouncy castle, cow milking, barn with animals in with guinea pigs on you lap, lambs, goats, deer feeding, pig racing, dinosaur trail, play parks, soft play, and a cafe.

Even in the rain, Farmer Palmer's was a great day out in which my kids enjoyed endless play, holding or feeding a number of animals, pig racing and a dinosaur trail. Nestled along the stunning south coast, the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) stands out as a premier venue for both conferences and entertainment. With an impressive capacity of up to 10,000 guests, it features four versatile halls that cater to a diverse range of events including concerts, comedy shows, exhibitions, and even sports activities. The BIC is not just about large-scale gatherings; it also plays host to the annual Bournemouth Arts by the Sea Festival each October.
With a multi-storey car park next door, you're ok for somewhere to park, but I would suggest you pay for your parking before you leave the event to get out quicker. We only took about 20 minutes but I have heard stories about taking an hour to get out. The venue itself is very nice, modern and well-managed. I have seen many bands play there, and always had a good experience. Staff are helpful. Easy to get in and out of.

First time in a long time going to the BIC, went to watch Tom Grennan. No issue with the queue, staff were all friendly and polite, dealt amazingly with a couple of medical emergencies in the crowd. Wasn't ridiculously hot or packed. Great night, will be back!

Have visited twice over the last few months. First time was to see Adam Ant. This visit wasn’t great. I queued for ages for merch. There was no organisation from the sellers and they just stuck to the middle. In the end I gave up. Second visit was to see five. The merch sellers were much more organised , so I’m guessing this is down to the artists more than the venue? Other than that bar staff work hard and are helpful. Prices are what are to be expected for a venue place. Plenty of toilets too which were handy. I think the experience here depends on who you are seeing but can’t fault any other staff or cleanliness of the place.
Claire — Google review
I have been going to the bic for years now and seen lots of bands here. Recently scissor sisters and chase and status. It's a third the size of most big arena venues meaning even in the furthest seats or standing places you'll get a better view than the O2 or Birmingham. Atmosphere is always great, bar staff could be quicker but it's busy so to be expected.

Great Venue. Within walking distance of many nearby hotels and near the Pier. Saw John Bishop here. Funny Down to earth Man. My wife and I don't usually buy food or drink at concert venues as we find its usually expensive. At the end of the event we saw there was a big queue to pay for parking, a big queue to get into the carpark next door and a bigger wait to get out of the car park. As an alternative have a look for Beacon Road Car Park. A short walk away and we noticed it was almost empty as we walked back to our hotel.

The park features a Grade II listed manor house, formal gardens, and a stretch of shoreline. Visitors can enjoy guided tours of the Regency-era house and explore the beautifully tended walled garden with its flowerbeds and tearooms.
Fantastic walk with great views all over. Should be a must go especially for any birdies, the place is filled with them. Benches overlooking the duck ponds made for an excellent lunch spot. The cafe is a great place to stop by. The mini golf course (for the price) is definitely worth a round. The toilet are always clean and free to use, and there’s even a public art gallery. There is currently construction work going on at the moment which was unfortunate.

Upton Country House is a real treasure tucked away in Poole. The house itself is charming and steeped in history, but the real highlight for me is the stunning gardens and parkland. The walled gardens are beautifully maintained, full of vibrant flowers in spring and summer, and there are peaceful woodland paths and open spaces perfect for a leisurely stroll or a picnic. There’s a lovely little café on-site with good coffee and homemade cakes, plus a small plant shop and regular local events like craft fairs and garden tours. It’s also very family-friendly, with a great play area for kids and plenty of space to explore. RSPB Arne is an absolutely beautiful area of Dorset county .. stunning views, plenty of birds and wildlife - gorgeous areas to just sit and ponder and perhaps have a picnic! There is a cafe just as you enter, selling coffee, ice-cream, cakes and more .. Highly recommend a visit!

Amazing place with numerous walks available. Very peaceful with well maintained pathways. A cars on track to the house was driving too quickly for the location, others were respectful.

Nestled in the heart of Poole Park, The Ark is a delightful destination for families seeking fun and relaxation. This vibrant venue features a soft play area designed for children under 11, an ice-skating rink, and a charming café complete with an ice cream kiosk. While it may not boast direct sea views, visitors can enjoy glimpses of the ocean from the top floor of the soft play area.
Great children’s café and soft-play centre in Poole Park. The multi-level indoor soft play—with slides, tunnels, and a toddler zone—kept our kids happily occupied, while parents enjoyed coffee and cakes on the terrace overlooking the lake

Busy cafe with soft play and pottery painting. Designed for family's with little kids. Great cakes. Average hot food. Staff are lovely. Outside tables with beautiful views of the boating lake and pond.
Ingrid S — Google review
I would not recommend this soft play. They wanted over £20 for 2 adults and 2 children aged 15 months. For an hour. Luckily the lady at the front desk had told us if we looked online and showed them there facebook we could get 50% off. I think this is very disappointing as we were not made aware and we would have had to pay full price. I wonder how many other people were ripped of today. £2.50 is ridiculous for an adult for soft play. We do not want to play / run around in the soft play area. Much nicer and cheaper places out there. Do not recommend.
Ellie C — Google review
Quite possibly the worst cafe I've ever been to. The Panini was burnt black, the chips were stale, and the service was shocking. I think if you want to go somewhere for a quick tea and let your children color in some paper, it's OK. But definitely some of the lowest grade food I've ever had in my life.

Lovely place to meet for a coffee and a chat with friends. Soft play area, good toilet facilities, in the middle of a park with a lake and a miniature railway.

You know I've really mixed opinions on this place. My son loves it so that's a win. The staff are very unhelpful and always look quite harassed. Tried to book a birthday party there and I actually gave up. Noone seemed to really care about my enquiry or several follow up calls. I would say I'd like to avoid this place but it's local and like I said my son loves it so what can I do!!
Francesca — Google review
Find it disgusting that adults are charged £2.50 to sit and watch their own children or grandchildren. Also completely cashless system again not all of us agree with cashless. Having spoke to manageress after entering I found her approach and attitude extremely poor and un professional. Quote " I can give you a refund and you can always leave " like I m gonna do that with my granddaughter looking forward to soft play. Can honestly say to HANNAH very poor customer skills very poor communication skills and in my opinion wasn't t bothered if customer was here or not don't believe as I said dire try to her she she is in the right line of work . And no I won't ever be bothering with this place at all again. Over priced
Ian S — Google review
An absolute hell hole. Overpriced, rude parents with unruly children. I truly cannot fathom how this terrible place can justify being the most expensive soft play in the area. The menu is awful, chips are crap and all totally overpriced too. Have been three times now ( the 2nd and 3rd time were not out of preference). The place is always so cramped and they absolutely overload themself to bursting- no space for mums feeding babies, literally not a ledge to perch on, and noone prepared to give up their seat because they've waited an hour for theirs! Will never return again and be ripped off by this place. They need a serious rethink of their prices, menu and customer service.

It serves as a beacon of hope, celebrating the bravery and sacrifice of lifeboat crews across the UK. The names listed on the memorial are those who valiantly saved lives before tragically losing their own.

FTY Lab is a fantastic facility for kids, offering interactive games that work on different aspects of the game. The wristbands record scores for each player, adding a competitive edge and motivating kids to do better. The attentive staff provides a good induction on how to use each piece of equipment. Additionally, the football coaching sessions are highly praised for their unique approach in improving players' awareness and decision-making skills. The cognitive training sessions are well linked with modern technology offered at FTY Lab.
We booked a party there for my sons joint birthday party. We had been to a party there previously and had been upstairs to in the room to have party food away from the hustle and bustle downstairs but when we got there today for our party we was informed that due to the football the room had been changed into a bar which was playing the world Cup games amd would have to use a rather small area at the front of the building where the vending machines are situated. There was a little rope barrier condoning it off butvwas informed by a member of staff if anyone who wasn't with our party entered we should tell them to leave?!? Aside from this the venue is very good and well equipped and the staff are friendly and helpful but I do think they would benefit from setting aside a few members of staff to stay with the party members and go round with them through the entire of the party time rather than showing the kids round and how to use things and then just letting them run and do their own thing. They did however do a game at the end of the session which all the kids loved. All in all a good experience which could potentionally be a much better one with just a few tweaks which seems a shame and let's it down, staff are friendly and helpful, it's clean and like I said well equipped. Let's see what happens in the future👍

Took my two little cousins to FTY Lab while they were visiting from America — they both love football (or “soccer” as they call it) and had the best time! One is 11 and the other 15, and it was great to see how well Jordan worked with both of them. He was really friendly, helpful, and made sure they both enjoyed it despite the age difference. The whole place was really clean, well set up, and had a great vibe. Would definitely recommend it to anyone with kids who love football!
Stephan T — Google review
Great facility for the kids although some of the games are a little repetitive and it is essentially a free for all so rock up and wait to us whichever apparatus is available. Will see how it is when we go for a party and more kids that know each other. Perhaps some organised guide / support taking kids through the facility.
Craig G — Google review
This was the best football coaching my son (10) has received by far. JUAN has a unique approach and he instantly improved my son's awareness and decision making. He uses his good foot alongside his strong foot much more often now, his timing, pass precision and many other parts of his game went a level or two up as well. JUAN's cognitive training sessions are very well linked with this modern technology the FTY LAB offers and he actually makes and gives the sense to it. He challenged my son, was asking him the questions, frequently explained him why the particular elements of the training are so important in the real game. In a week of intensive training he gave him the gist of modern football philosophy and lots of food for thought which way he could be taking his footballing. I could go on and on like this for many pages, but you go and experience it by yourself guys... Thanks Juan, we'll surely come down from Oxford soon again!

Took my 5&6 year old boys here and have to say what a fantastic facility. Loads of fun interactive games all working on different aspects of the game. The wristbands that hold the data and records scores for each player adds that competitive edge. It made my sons want to do better whether it was for a personal best or to beat their sibling (or dad) Attentive, knowledgeable staff who were on hand to help if needed and gave a really good induction on how to use each piece of equipment. Overall a superb experience and one I will definitely be returning for. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

The place and the facilities are fantastic. I brought my son here for his 11th birthday with 2 friends. My only gripe is that he went to have a kick about in the football pitch, to be told he has to leave as that’s for parties only. In theory, you pay to enter, but can’t use all the facilities without paying through the nose.

Westover Gallery, established in 1995, is a leading independent gallery in the South West. It showcases an impressive collection of contemporary art and sculptures by local, national, and international artists. Visitors can explore three floors featuring temporary exhibitions by renowned artists such as John Wilson, Simon Claridge, and Mark Spain. The gallery also offers beautiful glassware work, bespoke framing services, and Swarovski Implexions.
I purchased a Julie Ann Scott piece - Finding Solace. The Gallery is an engaging warm place to visit and muse with no expectation to buy! Which in turn leaves you able to wander amongst the art with no expectation. Which for me was really nice. The Art consultant Lauren helped me with my purchase - I must say she is a wonderful asset to the gallery, the whole team are so helpful and knowledgable. Thankyou 🌟

What an awesome team they are at Westover Gallery Bournemouth. There’s many people that aren’t comfortable with visiting art galleries as they’re not sure what to expect. Well if you’re one of those people and want to meet a fantastic team who will guide you through the different styles of artworks and artists, please pop in to meet the team. There’s a super collection with styles to suit most people and there are stunning statement pieces. I must make a special thank you to Brad, the workshop manager. I gave him a painting in a very distressed and also very dirty condition. He has worked his magic and restored the painting to its former glory and matched the frame perfectly with the frames used by the Artist. Thank you Brad, I am super delighted. If you want something special to you reframed or protected then they will advise you on what is required. I’m terrible with names, but thank you to the whole team and it was lovely to catch up with Ally today. Thank you 🥰

The center's cafe offers good food at reasonable prices with a view of the swimming pool and ample nearby parking.
Great place, with loads of different activities/businesses under one roof. Gym, swimming pool, soft play, nail and beauty treatments, and few others. Also has a cafe on the premises, overlooking the swimming pool and the car park. Car park is nearby, quite specious, pay and display (being checked for tickets regularly!). Has lift and reception right by the entrance, so you won't get lost. Net over busy place, which is quite good.

Excellent value gym with great facilities and welcoming atmosphere I’ve been a member at The Junction Broadstone for a while now and I’m really impressed with what you get for the price. At £15/month on a simple monthly contract (with blue light discount), it’s incredibly competitive - you’re not going to find better value in the area. Facilities: The free weights section has everything you need - squat racks, bench press, and a full range of dumbbells. They’ve also got plenty of machines if that’s your preference. The facilities are clean and well-maintained throughout. The changing rooms and showers are good quality - definitely a step up from budget gym chains, though not quite at premium gym levels. As a bonus, they have a sauna and steam room included, which is fantastic at this price point. No pool, but that’s not expected for £15/month. Atmosphere: Really welcoming environment with a good mix of people and no intimidating “lads only” vibe. Everyone’s considerate about sharing equipment - I’ve never had trouble getting on what I need, even during busy periods. The personal trainers are genuinely friendly and approachable, always saying hello and creating a positive atmosphere. The reception staff can be hit or miss in terms of friendliness - they’re running the entire leisure center so understandably stretched thin (typical of council-run facilities), but once you’re in the gym itself, everyone’s super friendly. Practical details: Parking in the main car park costs a couple of pounds per visit, which is worth factoring in. The studio hosts various classes, and the staff are flexible - as a dancer, they let me use the studio space to practice when it’s not being used for classes, even though it’s not technically part of my membership. Minor downsides: You have to cancel membership via email rather than in person, which is a bit annoying. It can get busy at peak times, but the respectful atmosphere means it’s never a problem. Overall, it’s not the fanciest gym you’ll ever see, but it ticks all the boxes for a solid, no-nonsense workout environment at an unbeatable price. Highly recommended.

My kids had a terrible experience at the holiday club. Run really badly. My oldest was being picked on all day with no intervention. My youngest threw up and no one called me or told me on collection. Kids were stuck in sports hall the whole day on a lovely summers day without seeing the light of day once. Both of my kids begged me to never send them back there. My oldest who is never bothered by much cried the whole way home. Called the office to speak to the manager 3 times on separate days. No one called us back. Needless to say we won’t be using this place again!

Canford Cliffs Beach is a picturesque and serene destination located in an affluent Bournemouth neighborhood. The stunning blue-flag award-winning beach boasts clear waters, soft white sand, and a beautiful surrounding of trees and wildlife. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely 10-minute walk from Canford Cliffs through woodland and past charming beach huts to reach the beachfront. The area offers facilities such as drinking water, restrooms, seasonal beach office, and lifeguard protection for added convenience and safety.
Hi everyone, if you are going to Bournemouth and looking to enjoy the beach in this area, please don't skip this beach, we have been here about 5 times and we only go to this one, Canford cliffs beach is lovely area to spend your day and this place does not get too busy, is nice and clean with shops around and toilets available, there is parking available on the road but it gets busy and there are limited spaces but its free when you manage to park about 1 minute walk from the beach, 100% 5* star for this area worth a visit, just look at the pictures attached !

Very clean beach off Sandbanks.. Clean sand and waters, ideal day out with family, dog walking, and have a nice cafe.
Hug D — Google review
One of my favourite beach days in England. Soft golden sand, clear water, and a relaxed vibe away from the busiest stretches. If luck’s on your side, you can snag parking right by the sand, but it goes fast on sunny days, so arriving early helps. Barbecues are allowed under set rules and times, which makes it perfect for an easy, lingering afternoon by the sea. You can also hire e‑scooters to cruise the seafront and explore more of the coastline. A couple of practical notes: there isn’t really an option to buy last‑minute beach bits like swimwear, goggles, or kids’ beach toys right on the spot, so it’s worth packing those beforehand. For bigger shops, Decathlon and John Lewis are within roughly five miles, which is handy if anything’s been forgotten. I’m a dog lover, but do keep an eye on the seasonal rules — dogs aren’t permitted on the main beach in summer, and there are signed zones and dates to check. Lifeguards are on during the season and swim areas are clearly marked, which keeps things calm and family‑friendly. All in, a beautiful, well‑kept beach with the right mix of calm atmosphere and useful amenities for a full day out.

This is a marvellous beach with soft sand and pristine water. We truly had a wonderful time at this beach. We arrived at around 4 pm, and the beach was in perfect condition. We played football and volleyball, and since the sand is so soft, everyone could attempt some adventurous shots and falls while playing. We found ample free parking along the roadside. The only downside is that it might be difficult for the elderly or those with knee or back problems to use the steps to reach the beach. I am not sure if there are any other access points, but we used the steps. It will be an incredible experience for those who want to explore soft, sandy beaches. Kids will be the happiest ones for sure.. 😍😍😍

Must visit beach in south cost , it is blue tag beach and sandy Suggest to use cliff road parking where no parking charges and go with football or any sandy beach game items to enjoy full day with kids/family Drinking water available at multiple points and public toilets are ok not so good. Park(forgot name) beside cliff road ideal to sit and enjoy beach air when it is hot and sunny it had equipment for kids play. It is good place for walkers, if we want we can use shore road or beach it self. Lot of people taking their pets(dogs mainly) in their walking

It a a lovely place to visit. We visited on a Saturday but this place was bit quieter in comparison to other areas on Bournemouth beach. Clean sand and blue waters make it a perfect place for a lovely day out. Parking around is bit difficult to find on weekends there are plenty of drinking water fountains and also free public toilets available. There are cafes and shops within 5 to 10 minutes walk in both directions. The tide is very stable and a safe place to enjoy day in water with kids. A wonderful place to spend a day out at beach. Highly recommended. The traffic can get worse on weekends, reaching early is strongly recommended.

Very nice clean and calm beach. A good spot to spend nice time with family and friends. Non commercial beach has few shoes to coffee or ice-cream etc. Water is clean, you can swim in it. Free parking and free washroom facility. But there is no shower for after sea bath.
Anurag S — Google review
Let's be honest, my usual beach day involves a half-inflated lilo and a fight with a seagull over a packet of crisps. Canford Cliffs Beach is a serious upgrade. This place is so posh, I'm pretty sure the seagulls wear little monocles and politely ask for a spare chip rather than mugging you for your entire pasty. The sand is suspiciously clean. I kept looking for a hidden team of elves with tiny rakes, but I think it's just naturally lovely. The water was the perfect temperature for the classic British paddle: ten seconds of sharp gasps followed by a profound sense of achievement. The highlight was trying to explain the sheer grandeur of the beach huts to my kids. "No, that's not a tiny house, that's a 'beach cabin' and it probably has a better mortgage rate than we do." We settled for our slightly sandy towel and felt like commoners on the outskirts of the royal estate, but in a fun way. Lost a flip-flop to a surprisingly powerful wave, but consider it a sacrifice to the posh beach gods. Five stars. Would definitely get accidentally sunburnt here again.

Nature preserve
Brownsea Island, a gem nestled in Poole Harbour, is an enchanting destination perfect for a family day out. Just a short and affordable ferry ride from Poole Quay, this National Trust property invites visitors to immerse themselves in its stunning natural beauty. With its rich history as the site of the first Boy Scout camp, Brownsea Island offers delightful woodland walks where you can revel in the serene sounds of nature and perhaps catch sight of playful red squirrels or elegant peacocks.
Brownsea Island is a lovely day out and important to support due to it's unique ecology. It could be expensive if you aren't National Trust members as you have to pay for the ferry separately. And pay again if you want to go in the Wildlife Trust area. It does make for a lovely day out, with the ferry part of the adventure. It has toilets and a bar below decks (above deck will be much colder, below can get a bit hot!). There is a lovely cafe who make the best crab sandwiches but service is a little chaotic! Distances on the map are further than they appear. They could do with running the hop on hop off more than twice a day (all terrain manual wheelchairs are only any good if you have someone fit to push them!). Or all terrain mobility scooters! They did a great job of an Easter egg hunt with activities themed around birds. We didn't spot any red squirrels ,(but there are only 250 on the 500 acre island), but we saw magnificent pheasants, ducklings, and lots of lovely flowers. We enjoyed the history of Scouting and the natural Play area too. A later (6pm?) last boat back during good weather/weekends/ school holidays would be great too.
Emma H — Google review
Our first trip to Brownsea Island. Saw a wide variety of wildlife, we even saw the red squirrels! Very peaceful and quiet, various walking trails throughout the island. Would recommend around 3 to 4 hours to explore fully. We also ate at the café, nice Cornish pasties and a good selection of sandwiches.
Karen A — Google review
Peaceful Wildlife Haven with a Pricey Crossing Brownsea Island is a gem for nature lovers and walkers alike. The ferry crossing from Poole is a bit steep—especially when paired with the extra entry fee if you're not a National Trust member—but once you're on the island, it’s easy to see why it’s worth the trip. The wildlife is wonderfully diverse: red squirrels dart through the trees, sea birds skim the shoreline, and the whole place feels like a peaceful retreat from the bustle of the mainland. Walking trails are well-maintained and offer stunning views back towards Poole and Sandbanks, making for a thoroughly enjoyable circuit. Tip: If you’re a National Trust member, bring your card—entry’s included, which softens the blow of the ferry fare.
Paul S — Google review
Good ferry over (not NT extra cost) , quay is yards from reception and cafe/toilets. Shortish walk to bird hides on North Shore then double back to go (long walk) to South and West Shore. View points along the way , paths clearly marked. This is a nature reserve, there are no playgrounds for kids and if you want to see wildlife you have to be quiet. There's a small, very narrow beach on South Shore but it's not a bathing beach.
Warren H — Google review
Absolutely beautiful! Very quiet, tranquil, full of unique walks, forests, beach, birds, deer and red squirrels. Large lake in centre, lots of benches to sit and breathe in the scenery. Play area for children, cafe near ferry stop.
Sue G — Google review
Great day out for all, great scenery. Be prepared that the boat trip doesn't include entry into the island itself so there are two seperate costs, still think its sub £25 pp all in. Would be nice if there was some more bins dotted around the trails, especially in hot-spot area like the beach on the far side.
Chris S — Google review
Only a 20-minute ferry ride (£14.50 p.p. return, as of July 2025, NO discounts) from Poole Quay, the island is free for National Trust members. It's about an hour to an hour and a half walk around the whole island. It is very peaceful and calm. There are views across to Purbeck, Sandbanks, and Poole. There are bird hides and supposedlyvred squirrels but we didn't see any.

Amazing place lots of fun for the kids and adults! It was my son's 13th Birthday and the wonderful Phillip gave my boy a free prize which made his day! Phillip you are so kind and it was much appreciated! A credit to your team!

Had a great time here today with our 3 year old and 13 year old who played together in the soft play then the amusements. Every member of staff we encountered was lovely and friendly and could tell that wanted you to have a good time.

We went today as a family and absolutely loved it. The staff there is so helpful and polite . I went to Hollywood Bowl once and had a bad experience . At Hollywood, they gave such less tickets and the kids came out of there more upset than they were. But as Oasis, staff made my childrens day by giving them good toys for their tickets and especially Jen who was so kind with my kids. We would definitely come again and again as the staff there is amazing.. Thank you for a wonderful service

Very friendly staff and extremely helpful. Very clean and tidy. Good value on food, drinks and ice cream. No ahead booking necessary and excellent value for money. Ideal place for the kids and adults when the weather isn't good. Our new go to place 🌸

Had so much fun here today! The mini golf was lovely and quiet and so beautiful! I love all the hidden animals! Won some ducks from the archade winnings, and we got a 2nd for free! We were also offered a free bowling session! This place was so beautiful and the staff are so amazing here! This place is also perfect for young adults as we were worried it would be too childish.

Miniature golf course
Mr Mulligans in Bournemouth is an indoor golf experience and restaurant located in the BH2 entertainment complex. It features two extraordinary golf courses with immersive technology, as well as other activities like electro-darts, laser-shot, pool, and ping pong. The venue only accepts card payments and is for over 18s after 8:45 pm.
Our first visit to Mr Mulligans and we had a great time. We prebooked tickets as it was half term and only had wait 5mins to get in. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful explaining where to go and what to do as it was out our first time. For thus visit we just did the Alien Invasion mini golf for the 5 of us and it was a lot of fun. The theme was excellent and the holes were a good variety of fun and tricky. We had a member of staff ask if we would like to order drinks on our way round which I thought was a good idea so you don't have to stop to order although we didn't need it this time. We will come back to try the other parts as they looked a lot of fun too. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Overall we spent just over an hour completing the course and only had to wait a little while for those in front of us but being half term this was expected.
Enchanted T — Google review
The venue is spectacularly lit up inside, a great mix and use of darkness and lighting. 18 holes to go around and they’re broken into themes; some easier than others but most are fairly challenging which is a good thing! Was great being able to take your drinks with you around the course, although feel that the snacking options were slightly limited? Staff were friendly. Only downside is that it was extremely hot inside! There didn’t appear to be any air-con switched on whatsoever and given that it was quite a tight space, ended up feeling claustrophobic at times… But yes, if you’re in the area, we’ll worth a visit.
Starscream — Google review
We had a great night playing golf. We took advantage of the cocktail deal 2 for £14. Loved the way you could take your drinks around with you, and there were tables at every hole. The course is well set out with some holes making you think and testing your aim. The staff were great and, as it was our first time, they explained everything in detail. It wasn't that busy, so no waiting around. We went on a Wednesday evening, and they have a 2 for £10 deal (online). It was a really fun evening, and the deals made it easy on the pocket, too!
Paula — Google review
Very chill atmosphere, the food was great but very busy. I feel they need to lower the amount of people in the golf because you would be stood for ages waiting your turn!!
Alisia N — Google review
The place is nice, if a little pricey. The pool tables are not very level but the other games are ok. The staff are lovely and helpful. However, 4pm on a Saturday afternoon and the toilets are disgusting. The chart on the wall showed it hadn't been checked and I certainly agree with that! It was really quiet too (even one of the staff mentioned how quiet it was). I didn't take a pic of the stalls as that would have been banned I'm sure, but the waste basket was the tidiest part...
Neil S — Google review
Service good , prices pretty average . This review would be 5 stars, but when playing pool these machines are infuriatingly loud, it would be much better for Pool if these machines were either sent to landfill or moved to another area of the building.
Out T — Google review
Really enjoyed the bottomless brunch deal! Two of us were very happy with many cocktails, a round of mini golf and a lovely meal for £28pp. The staff were amazing, so attentive at taking our drink orders while on the course. Had a great time and great value for money!
Elle S — Google review
I definitely do not recommend anyone to go there. I paid £10 to play table tennis, and when I got there, I was faced with a dark table painted like graffiti. Table Tenis completely scrap as well. The environment was too dark for table tenis . We quickly asked to switch to pool, but he said it wasn’t possible and that I would have to pay separately for the pool table. I also didn’t get a refund. I do not recommend it.

City Cruises - Poole offers a variety of boat cruises and sea-train trips, providing a unique way to explore the coastal, island, and harbor areas. One of their standout experiences is the Fireworks Cruise, offering panoramic views of Europe's largest natural harbor while enjoying dazzling fireworks displays at Poole Quay. The company also provides live commentary during cruises around Poole Harbour, allowing visitors to discover Dorset's famous landmarks from a different perspective.
Fun-filled cruise with a fantastic guide! We had a great time on the coastal cruise at Poole Harbour! The tour was enjoyable, relaxing, and filled with beautiful views. The tour guide was fantastic—very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour, which made the experience even more fun and memorable. Just a heads-up: there is no car parking available at the venue itself. I recommend parking at the nearby shopping centre, which is about an 11-minute walk away. Plan a little extra time for that, especially if you’re with kids or elderly guests. Highly recommended for a fun day out! 🚤🌊

Had an amazing sightseeing cruise along the Jurassic Coast with Coastal Cruises. The boat was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the history and sights along the way, which made the trip even more enjoyable. Prices were very reasonable for the experience, and it felt like great value for money. I’ll definitely be returning to try out some of their other sightseeing tours – highly recommended!

Miniature golf course
Sandbanks Mini Golf offers a challenging 18-hole course that can either frustrate or satisfy you and your family. The astroturf surface provides a quick and true run, with each hole having seen a hole-in-one at some point. The course features various obstacles such as bumps and tricky layouts, making it an interesting experience for all players. While the price may not be on the cheaper end, it is considered reasonably priced for the fun it offers.
This is the best crazy golf course in the area. Very well kept and lots of fun. Highly recommend and will visit again. Reasonably priced. Gorgeous beach and cafe’s and restaurants nearby so you can easily spend a whole day at Sandbanks. It’s also just a short walk from the ferry which goes to Studland or you can take a boat trip to Brownsea Island or Poole Quay

Played Weds 26th June. Such a friendly young lady serving, had a giggle with her. Loved the old school style crazy golf, well maintained and nicely planted. 😊
Karen C — Google review
Really nice course. Well laid out and some interesting and tricky holes. Really wanted to give this course 5 stars but for 3 things. At £7.50 a pop it's not at the cheaper end of courses. For that sort of money I'd expect course maintenance to be a little hotter (regularly swept, tidied) and there is a distinct lack of seating. I have mobility issues and somewhere to sit and take a break for 5 minutes was sorely missed. Otherwise a good experience.
Mark H — Google review
Great fun, even in January, staff are really friendly and it's right on the beach happy days

Twelve of us went to play Crazy Golf, we spent a most enjoyable hour! Both children and adults had fun, the course was interesting, challenging and accessible. Other Crazy golf is tired, with the carpet being the biggest obstacle - Not this course! Clean and friendly 😁

The advertisement makes a bold claim that they have the best eighteen holes. I played a round with my two daughters (10 & 15) and we all had an enjoyable experience. The course is very well maintained and has a good range of challenges, which were all fun. Definitely worth a visit for some family fun.

This place was amazing until the council took over. Thought it would be nice to take a stroll from Branksome Chime to Sandbanks to play a game of golf, to then get here and one of the members of staff tell us they are closing. The closing time shows 6pm so no idea what's going on. Me and the girlfriend played here a few weeks ago and the closing time was 5pm? Just seems all over the place, we won't be coming back anytime soon.

The course is designed for all ages, making it perfect for families, couples, or groups of friends. As you navigate through rocks, runs, and gravestones, you'll be immersed in the world of smugglers and their daring escapades. The scenic coastal views add to the excitement as you compete to see who has the skills to conquer the course.
Have visited Bournemouth many, many times but have always passed up the opportunity to play here - until now! 😀 The course is comprised of 18 holes and actually they vary in how much they challenge you as a player, some quite easy and others more tricky - but that’s a perfect balance I’d say. The course itself is lovely, clean and pleasant - so long as the weather is lovely, you’ll really enjoy it. The sound of the falling water is beautiful and quite relaxing along with the view of the sea and town centre, you really can’t go wrong. The lady who works there was pleasant and helpful, thank you 😊 Definitely recommend if you’re in the area. ⛳️ 🏌️‍♂️

Great place to go for four of you as you get a bit of a discount when we went a week ago week ago it was £39 for the four of us grade 18 whole course with some big water in the middle some difficult holes And £1.50 for every loss Ball scorecard and pencil provided not wheelchair friendly and space between the holes is quite small to get through only quibble will be there’s not many obstacles with the course some holes going round the corner and they’ve put this random rocks in the way but other than that it’s quite a basic course well maintained and good decorations

Really nice place to play mini golf. It is protected with walls from all the sides, so the wind is not an issue. Lots of water makes doesn't make you feel overheated even in the middle of a day.

My family and I had a great time playing crazy golf at Smuggler's Cove on our recent trip to Bournemouth in May half term. It was decorated great to a pirate theme. My boys also liked that there were half term competitions to enter- counting the barrels around the course plus guess how many golf balls are in the jar. We are looking forward to returning on our next trip to Bournemouth.

Times have changed and it certainly has here. The original Poole Pottery place has gone and been sold off for flats. It’s now mostly gifts and a smaller area to walk around. There’s still a lot of pottery items so that is good thing, some clothes. However I couldn’t see the kilns like there used to be when you could see people making things. Change for good? Sadly not entirely.

We've been in to Poole pottery lots of times, my daughter loves painting ( she's 8). I find the staff a bit hit or miss, some begrudgingly serve you, others are a little more interactive and will be pleasant. Recently went there and we thought we'd try the glazing, apparently they post out your pieces of art to your home address if you cover postage. So my daughter sat there for 4 hours, painting and designing a piece for fathers day plus her nan & grandads birthday gifts. We've received nothing!! They don't answer the phone, they don't listen to their VM and get back to you. I have a distraught 8 year old , some contact would have been very much appreciated!! Not very impressed unfortunately.

Whether you're planning a weekend getaway, a summer vacation, or just a day trip to the coast, there's something for everyone. Families can create lasting memories here; one young adventurer had an incredible time during his Kids Adventure Day, where he tried kayaking and paddleboarding under the guidance of supportive instructors like Simon and Charlotte.
So much fun! We were a group of 10 and we called up in the morning and they said we could come down from 11am. We were kitted out in wetsuits, buoyancy aids and paddleboards. The staff were super friendly, accommodating and gave us good instructions. The facilities on site (changing rooms etc) were fantastic. Would definitely come back for another session, thank you!!

We have enjoyed the South Coast Adventure facilities at a few local events before but today we did the Easter egg hunt at Hamworthy Park. Despite the weather being horrendous, the team were still in good spirits and helped us to enjoy a bit of time out with the kids looking for easter clues around the park. Thank you very much!

Great intro to paddleboarding with rescues session. I signed up for the group session and turned up and it was just me. The session was a great introduction and progression with skills to make it easier and more efficient and practicing rescues so that I would be safe out on the water and know what to need to do when things go wrong. Highly recommend the south coast adventures

My grandson, aged 10, was booked for a Kids Adventure Day. He was very nervous but Simon was excellent at reassuring him. He tried the kayaking and loved it. Thank you Charlotte for being patient with him. He also tried paddle boarding and went through the cave three times. He’s certainly interested in doing more kayaking and it has been a great taster session ready for when he goes away with the school in October.
