Chinese restaurant
Nestled on Old Christchurch Road, The Mandarin Fusion has been a beloved staple in Bournemouth since its inception in 1969. This charming Chinese restaurant offers an extensive menu that showcases the rich culinary diversity of China, featuring everything from traditional Cantonese dishes to fiery Szechuan flavors and iconic Peking specialties. Its long-standing presence has made it a favorite among locals and visitors alike, even drawing in celebrities over the years.
Yet again another lovey meal and experience at one of the best restaurants in Bournemouth. I’m so happy with the quality and quantity of the food. Kind, happy staff. Great recommendations and a calming, pleasant atmosphere. Thank you so much again to everyone who helped serve us. We will see you again soon (if not then we will be deliverooing within the month). Thank you for letting us take the left overs home and for our valentines treat at the end. 10/10 recommendation from us.

Delicious food, fried rice is fried to the perfect texture, and the crispy aromatic duck comes in a good portion. Overall good service and nice presentation of all dishes.

Fabulous well cooked and presented food. We have been going here regular for the past 4 years and our visits never disappoint. The manager and all the staff are incredibly friendly and provide excellent service always. Can’t wait to visit again soon

The food here is truly exceptional . . Best Chinese we've been to and would definitely come back again. Service was second to none, Prawn toast was fresh along with all the other dishes chosen and extremely tasty. Highly recommended.

If you're on the lookout for a delightful dining experience, look no further than Wonderful Kitchen Lounge & Garden. This modern Chinese restaurant boasts an inviting atmosphere with its glass-topped tables and stylish wall lamps, complemented by a cozy lounge area featuring beige seating. The menu is a culinary journey through traditional and contemporary Chinese and East Asian dishes, making it perfect for those who love to explore diverse flavors.
Amazing little find when holidaying in Poole fancied a Chinese where we could sit in instead of takeaway Food was yummy the whole place looked stunning even had a karaoke room which was a bonus Definitely be coming back once back in the area
Clarkies C — Google review
Excellent. Discovered by accident, we were in Ferndown and a local place advertised it was a restaurant but was not. So there are some parking places outside. The premises are done to a high modern standard and the layout suitable. There looked like there was some low seating that looked interesting. We were welcomed and seated. People were spread offering more privacy but as more arrived they sat at adjacent tables. We decided on the set menu option and also took the crispy duck. Orders were taken promptly and food was delivered quickly. Accidentally dropped a chop stick and they turned up before I was sitting upright and they exchanged with a fresh one. The food was delicious and the portions adequate. I would happily return to this restaurant if visiting the area again.
Abi S — Google review
Danny was absolutely incredible! He was super polite and friendly and sat me at the lounge area. The service was quick and pretty smooth The food was 🤤🤤🤤🤤 Honestly, I really recommend this restaurant. And if you come here, get the 5 king prawns as a starter 😍 I went for king prawns and beef stir fry noodles with some lemonade. 10/10 recommend And the atmosphere is so chill. I can't get over the tables with leg holes underneath, that is some genius stuff
Ana F — Google review
Definitely a fit above the "normal" Chinese restaurant . Innovative menu, extremely well cooked food. Not greasy or oily. Full of flavour. Also really good value. Similar prices to other restaurants but much tastier. Attentive and helpful professional service Definitely worth a number of visits
Peter B — Google review
One star review: We ordered salt and chili king prawns and instead they delivered salt and chili squid. When I called, the person said they would charge me again for the food instead of correcting their mistake. We always order the same dish from here, but this time they refused to help or replace it. Very poor service and unacceptable attitude.
Daniel A — Google review
I rarely leave reviews, but this meal was such a letdown I felt I had to say something. First off, the food was completely bland—no seasoning, no flavor, just mushy and uninspired. I honestly could’ve made something better at home with zero effort. To make matters worse, one of the items I paid for was missing entirely. No call, no note, no refund—just gone. And the portions? Ridiculously small for the price. I was still hungry afterward, which is saying something. Definitely not ordering from here again. Total waste of money
Morris D — Google review
Had a wonderful experience of eating Their classic wonton soup which they so badly wanted me to experience with my bare hands. It was probably a very unusual experience as the soup would slip through my fingers oh, and I forgot to mention that the broth taste like very liquid. God bless the lady who runs the restaurant who disagrees with me in giving the basic essentials of a plastic Spoon with a wonton soup May God please change her or shut down the restaurant
Roman C — Google review
Looking for somewhere to eat later than 9pm at night is tough in Bournemouth unless you eat junk food. This place was our saviour when holidaying recently with family. Super unexpected with such lovely service and authentic home cooked (non greasy) yummy Chinese food - it really is “wonderful” and the interior is fun, unusual and makes dining in there all the more pleasurable. Please do support this local restaurant as it is fantastic and we are so happy to have found it.

Bamboo Leaf is a modern and vibrant establishment that offers an affordable, fixed-price menu of freshly prepared Chinese dishes. The venue itself is bright and simplistic, providing a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. Located on a charming terraced street of town houses dating back to the 1870s, Bamboo Leaf is conveniently situated just an 11-minute walk from Bournemouth pier and slightly over a mile away from Bournemouth train station.
We came here as a party of 10 and had a great time. The restaurant brings out the dishes you order, and the quality of the food was good, considering the volume they prepare for so many guests. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and handled our large group with ease. Prices have naturally increased over the years, and while it’s starting to make visits feel a little less appealing compared to before, it’s still good value for the variety and experience you get. Overall, a solid choice for groups and celebrations — we all left happy and full!
S31BY — Google review
Really nice experience at Bamboo Leaf the staff were pleasant and knowledgeable about the dishes they recommended. Food was tasty and cooked to order. My only real criticism is the cost of the beer. Quite pricey at £5.20 for a pint. Other than that I would certainly go again.
Timothy B — Google review
Nice Chinese restaurant doing all you can eat. Found service slow so much so didn’t bother ordering more food after first lot mains and second tiger beer was not that cold so must ran out and restocked fridge as first one was ice cold. Would recommend if Chinese is what you fancy and lots to choice to try different things being all you can eat
Martin B — Google review
We had a fantastic meal here this evening. We didn't book and were lucky to get a table. The staff were very attentive polite and efficient. The food was divine the best meal we've had out in ages. Highly highly recommend.
Aebbe S — Google review
Great service and food great to try all different things portions small but I felt like it was a good thing as if you don’t like the dish you don’t feel like you waste much. You can always order more tho. Great place

Genuinely such helpful and friendly staff. Food is really good and great value for money. My wife and I had a lovely dinner about a week ago and we are already going back with a friend tonight! Delicious food and the man who works in there couldn’t do more for you.
MegaDorset — Google review
The service may replaced by a tablets as it's not a good idea to have just one person taking the orders to all tables. Very good food. Taste and well done
Alvaro G — Google review
This is an all you can eat restaurant, you order at the table from the menu & they bring it to your table, I'ts not buffet service. My friend & I had several different dishes, all very small portions but we didn't mind that. The problem was that the quality of food was not great & most of it was not served hot. Cantonese pork was very chewy, duck pancakes were dry & noodles were barely warm. It seems that food in batter was a better choice, both the spring rolls & the sweet & sour chicken balls were served hot. I would not eat here again

Best chinese asian food! Reasonably priced and generous portions. Our personal favorite. You will never ran out of food options. They have beef, pork, seafood, veggies, rice meals, noodles etc. Love the beef noodles, malaysian noodles, beef stew! You should also try the crispy fried chicken. Do not expect a very lovely dining hall

This is honestly my absolute fave spot for Asian food, the best I’ve ever had, no joke! And I’ve been to quite a few countries, so I know what I’m talking about :p Asian food is my ultimate comfort and love, and here it’s always super fresh, crazy tasty, perfect portions, and delivery is always hot and on point. The staff is super sweet too, you can tell they care. I keep coming back and it never disappoints. Highly recommend, 10/10! ❤️🍜🥡

I can't tell you how many times I've had Little Asia now! It's my favourite Chinese. Always delicious, fast service, kind staff, and everything I've tried has been amazing. Love the Chinese chicken curry, all of the starters and sharers are incredible! Especially the salt and pepper chicken. Delicious.

Every week, get set meal for one £12.80. Huge meal for one person. Egg fried rice, chicken dish of choose, I have mango chicken amazing and not too sweet. 6 chicken balls, 2 x pan cake rolls. [I had eaten 3 on the way home]Excellent service, friendly family run business. I would say best in Bournemouth 10/10. I sure only take cash. I added the menu, loads different items on the menu, and pletty drinks, including bubble tea. Ramin soup bows.l

This is a fantastic Chinese restaurant located in Bournemouth. The food is excellent and the price is great. The portions are generous and the staff are very friendly. It could do with a proper cleaning to make it more attractive to customers. Downside - there is no credit or debit card facility payments. There is street parking on first come first park basis. Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy a variety of dishes at affordable prices. Thank you.

Open from 5 PM to 11 PM, this gem offers an array of mouthwatering dishes that are sure to satisfy your cravings. Diners rave about their standout satay sauce, which has been described as the best they've ever tasted, alongside favorites like salt and pepper chicken and chow mein.
I absolutely loved the experience .Yummy meal with a large quantity the packaging was 💯 good service delivery with complimentary prawn cracker,i also had beef springroll but i forgot to take a picture of this .I will recommend this place so many times.
Omobolanle O — Google review
Appetisers were great. Then got to my Singapore noodles and was really dissapointed. They were SO spicy. I have never had Singapore noodles this hot.. !!! The dish barely had any prawns which was also disappointing ! The noodles had this slight red tinge to them so probably the hot sauce, it was quite oily and Ive had many of this dish and this is the first time they have ever looked and tasted like this.. really didn’t have the flavour like the other Singapore noodles I’ve had at other Chinese’s. You definitely need to re consider that recipe as it’s not like the dish should be.. overall it was ok. But that dish ruined the meal.
Velvet J — Google review
Chow mein too oily the flavour was decent but the texture was ruined because of the amount of oil used. Sweet and sour chicken was oily and tasted kind of bland flavours wasn’t terrible. If your really hungry just order something else this isn’t worth the money…

Ordered food from this Chinese last weekend! been meaning to leave a review to help others out. Been using this Chinese for a long time now and had my first bad one last week. The rice was not cooked probably, prawns were small and only 3 in the special fried rise suppose to get beef. I bagged it up took it back the next day because it was closed when it arrived. The manager did not want to refund and was so rude saying we have had know other complaints. I’ve recommended these people to a lot off friend and family. Avoid!
Craig L — Google review
Best chinese I've found in the area. Good portion sizes. They don't always add prawn crackers tho which is disappointing on a £50 order! Ask and you would probably get them.
Laura S — Google review
I'm very disappointed. As always, I really enjoyed the food and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, but today it was very, very poorly served. The pad thai was dry and the shrimp were overcooked. I've always received my food ahead of schedule or on time. And today, I waited over an hour. The dumplings were very tasteless and had a strange, unpleasant odor, not to mention the taste. If this is how China Fusion is going to serve food from now on, I'm definitely giving up because I'm disgusted.
Łukasz B — Google review
We had a lovely meal from China Fusion last night, the food was freshly cooked, not greasy, friendly staff, reasonably priced, will definitely be back the next time we visit Rockley Park.

This charming eatery offers an impressive selection of dishes, including sweet and sour options and tantalizing Thai flavors. The menu clearly marks gluten-free choices, making it easy for diners with dietary restrictions to find something delicious. The service at Lee's Dynasty is notably efficient, especially when ordering takeout.
Great variety of Gluten Free dishes. I would highly recommend the mixed meat fried rice, the chucked of meat are huge and I haven't stopped raving about it! Pad Thai beef was awesome and a good substitute for chicken chow mein for us no gluten eaters. Highly recommend and will keep coming back

The service was good fast when I ordered my meal for takeaway. I think the price was good. I ordered Salt and Pepper Box for 2 £13. Prawn toast. £6.50.I wasn't sure about the box meal, but as I got into it, it was addictive and meat. Chicken was lovely. The only thing fried rice was dry and didn't taste much. Prawn Toast was amazing cooked to perfection. This place does alot Gluten free items, which is brilliant.
Hug D — Google review
The black bean duck , salt and pepper chilli prawns , beef curry and Singapore noodles were all very tasty. However , I’ve had a lot of hot and sour soups in my lifetime and unfortunately I would have to say that the hot and sour soup from here is the worst. The gyozas weren’t nice either. I would maybe still order from here but perhaps order the other dishes . It came with free spring rolls and prawn crackers which was appreciated.
Yasmin K — Google review
Such a lovely restaurant, new owners are great! Food is still so great, very friendly, a definite go to!!!

We always order Chinese from Lees Dynasty and really enjoy the food. I'm gluten free so having allergies clearly labelled is really helpful. We also love the mock meat options that you don't find at most Chinese takeaways.

I have coeliac disease and this is the only Chinese restaurant I can trust to make my food GLUTEN FREE. I have been ordering from here for a couple of years now and I have not had any bad experiences. Keep up the good work for us gluten intolerant and coeliacs. It is so hard for us to eat out anywhere or have a takeaway without worrying about getting ill. Lee Dynasty takes away the worry. Thank you.

Disgusting Chinese take away. Most of the food precooked and reheated. Spare ribs were mainly grizzle. 2 of my family members couldn’t even it it. My brother and I both had really bad stomachs the next morning. Why should we have to pay for this?

Sakura Terrace Japanese Restaurant is a delightful gem located near Bournemouth pier, making it an ideal stop for those exploring the vibrant town. This eatery specializes in traditional Japanese cuisine with a contemporary twist, offering an extensive menu that caters to all tastes. Diners rave about the exceptional sushi and ramen dishes, which have quickly become favorites among visitors. The warm and welcoming atmosphere is complemented by attentive service that makes you feel right at home—like catching up with an old friend during your visit.
We’ve Bournemouth every year for the last few years now and each time we make sure we have a booking here. Firstly, it was so nice that the lady recognised us from our visit last year, and came to speak to us when the restaurant was quieter, almost like an old friend. We told her we’d see her next time, and we definitely mean it. Secondly, the food was really good. We didn’t bother having a big lunch today knowing we had a booking tonight and boy did we enjoy our feast! The prices are very reasonable too. Thirdly, we liked the fact that they managed customers’ expectations. When we came it was relatively busy and they told us there might be a slight wait for the food. It didn’t feel that long before our food arrived and we were pleasantly surprised, because we were starving! Definitely a thumbs up from all of us!
Helen N — Google review
Very warm welcome and our server was lovely. Food was very good served in good time. The salmon teriyaki starter and salmon hand roll was so good and we wished we had more. The pork ramen was the perfect portion, the pork was great and easy to break apart. Pork katsu curry was also great and the curry sauce had so much flavour. The pork was nice and crispy and cooked very well. We were only visiting for the night but if we were local this would be our regular restaurant. Seeing the food other tables were getting also looked amazing and we wished we could order everything. Would definitely recommend!
Kristin B — Google review
Absolutely loved this place! The sushi is incredibly fresh and made with top-quality ingredients — you can really taste the difference. It’s a cozy, family-run restaurant with such a warm and friendly atmosphere. The location is perfect too — just a short walk from the beach. Highly Recommend!
Mo-ney — Google review
Sakura was perfect for a Sunday night treat. A warm welcome greeted us with the sad(and surprising) news they had run on of sushi rice so no sushi on the menu. Very funny. Luckily we were after the ramen so we weren’t disappointed. The ramen was good, not so authentic, but some nice flavours. Great friendly service in a nice environment. Will come again when the sushi rice is back in the house.
Patrick C — Google review
Absolutely the best sushi in the UK. Fantastic service and nice atmosphere. Menu with many options, so many that is even hard to decide. I went there with my son and wife and we decide to get sushi... It was amazing, we are all sushi lovers but we didn't expect it to be so good. Now it is definitely one of my very favourite restaurant and definitely we will come back, every time when we come to Bournemouth. Super nice and very helpful service making this place a one of a kind.
Adam R — Google review
We ordered sushi, but unfortunately it wasn’t anything special—honestly, it felt like supermarket quality. The restaurant itself seemed quite old and in need of an update. On the positive side, the service was good, but overall the experience didn’t stand out. I don’t think I’ll be returning.
Sami M — Google review
Firstly, I would like to say thank you to the kind young man who showed me how to open the Ramune soda bottle. Thank you everyone for your patience. 🙏 This was my first time trying ramen after hearing about it in all my favourite cartoons and games, and it wasn’t disappointing. Excellent food and service. ❤️
D. G — Google review
Was a cute eatery but since only one person was assigned for the service it was a bit slow and inattentive. The food i ordered was a sakura bento b which had salmon n tuna sashimi , pork katsu, karage, rice , salad and spring roll. Prices were not too high and was worth every buck. Also ordered a veg noodles which was somewhat bland. The food went well with ramune and we ended with coconut mochi ice cream

Nestled in the heart of Parkston, Poole, New Mandarin Chef is a charming family-run Chinese restaurant that has captured the hearts and taste buds of locals and visitors alike. Specializing in delectable Peking and Cantonese cuisine, this eatery offers an extensive menu that caters to all palates. Whether you choose to dine in or opt for takeaway, you're guaranteed a delightful culinary experience. Many patrons rave about the quality of food here, often declaring it as the best Chinese spot around.
Been ordering from here for a good 5+ years it's the only Chinese takeaway I go to, I have tried a few other local places over the years but Mandarin Chef keeps me coming back! Best service when you call up directly and order instead of using Justeat or something similar, cheaper for you and more of the money goes to the lovely family that run it! :) (the best chicken balls around)
George A — Google review
Mixed bag of an experience! First time ordering from here. Food was prepared and ready super fast (for collection). Sweet and sour chicken balls lovely, satay chicken lovely, foo yung so salty it was inedible, as was the seaweed, which we usually love from other places. Smoked chicken was meant to be crispy but was weirdly soggy, and chilli beef was overly strong sweet and sour flavour. Not sure if order again, unless desperate for an option, but if I did, I’d stick to certain dishes and avoid others. If they laid off the salt it would be much better!
E D — Google review
Ordered from here as not many places open on Monday. ordered by phone and was ready when we arrived. The food was hot when I got home and the quality of the food was above expectations and everyone in the family enjoyed it. It will be my place to go in the future.

Had just moved house and with nothing ready we had to order take out late. The driver made a mistake and took our food to the wrong house. At this time, they had already closed but the boss offered to re-make the whole all on his own and deliver it himself. I can't tell you enough the generosity this man showed and amazing cooking skills. 10/10 food and 100% would recommend
Christian G — Google review
Ordered a takeaway. Duck meat as cold, ribs were very fatty and dry. Chicken was tasteless. Definitely avoid

Have had 3 takeaways ftom this place, the first two were eatable, (each time had to put in the microwave to hot them up) and the one tonight had to hot them up yet again. There was a plain rice missing but was told when we rang they couldn't do anything about that and said they would refund the cost on the credit card. My husband's chichen was full of skin and hardly edible. I don't think well go there again. Spoilt our meal

DON'T ORDER FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Sisters partner ordered a takeaway from here when quite clearly on deliveroo and their website they are still open and running. They wrongly decided to take the money with a status update of being prepared and an hour and a half later no delivery turned up. Tried to call the resteraunt a couple of times and the phone line is not in service and cut of instantly. This is disgusting service to accept money and wrongfully not deliver the service you are suppose to provide to your paying customer. Will never order from here again, really bad establishment. I would advice against ordering from here and do not waste your time. Unless you want to either wait hours or for the food not even bother to turn up.

Easily the best Chinese local to Parkstone, I have eaten in every Chinese restaurant/take away around Poole and Parkstone, and if the quality of food is what you are looking for, here is the place.Parking is difficult due to the location on a busy main road,Delivery took 40 mins. total was £26.50 for everything in the picture

This charming eatery has garnered a loyal following, especially among families who have been enjoying their delicious offerings for years. Known for its impressive vegan options, Rainbow ensures that every order is not only generous in portion but also bursting with flavor and served piping hot.
Amazing food, good portions and a fair price. Visiting from London but don’t know of any that can beat it. Lovely family business, just wish it was back home!!

If you're in Poole (even briefly, like I was) and you're vegan. Order here! I visited in person and the owner was so lovely and warm. Totally makes sense why so many reviews mention her 💚 so many vegan choices and it was delicious!
Dani B — Google review
My family has been ordering from Rainbow for a couple of years now and is by far our favourite Chinese takeaway in the area!! The vegan options are so good, every order we get is hot, large portions, correct and super tasty and always a quick delivery time too compared to others we ordered from in the past. Would definitely recommend whether you’re vegan or not! 10/10 🤩🙏🏽

Would not ever go back here again, food tasted like it was frozen and re heated. Crispy duck wasn’t crispy and crispy beef just tasted like water had no flavour whatsoever. Pork was overcooked and tough and the best part of £40 in the bin. The food arrived so quickly that I don’t believe it was cooked fresh to order. Very unsatisfying.

Paid £40 for 4 items and delivery charge (overpriced much?!) Food said delivered on just eat but we hadn’t received any food. Called the number to an automated response saying they aren’t open Mondays and bank holidays which would make sense except today is Friday. Had to go down there to find out what happened all for them to say the driver rang our bell and called my mobile but there was no answer. What a lie! All they said was they held it there and hoped we would come to collect it. No compensation, food was cold by the time we actually ate it. Do not recommend What a joke.

Customers rave about the delightful aromas wafting through the shop and the warm, friendly service provided by staff who go above and beyond to make families feel welcome. Many patrons have enjoyed their meals here multiple times, often highlighting standout dishes like smoked chicken and chow mein.
Ordered a large meal for Christmas day, everything was fantastic. Everything was pipping hot and fresh when collected Christmas day, and all the dishes were great. We will now go to Blue Jade as our regular takeaway as we found it much better than our usual. The smoked chicken was the standout dish for us.

Pretty standard Chinese tbh. Large pancake roll was a bit over done. Hot & sour soup - nice. Beef & blackbean not bad, all in all I’d give it 6.5/10

Just had a takeaway from here and i think they have a different chef. Large pancake roll practically empty, far too much hard batter on king prawns and very watery curry. Please bring old chef back. First awful meal I have had. Been using this place for 8 years 😭😭😭

Nestled just a short five-mile drive from Poole into Bournemouth, Chao Gong Chinese Restaurant is a culinary treasure that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This family-run establishment specializes in authentic Chinese cuisine, prepared fresh from scratch to ensure every dish bursts with flavor. Diners rave about the extensive menu filled with classic favorites, making it a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike. During my visit, I was fortunate enough to discover this hidden gem while on holiday.
The best Chinese I've been to. Amazing dumplings fresh handmade noodles and an amazing waitress who was extremely friendly and helpful. Ask for her recommendations and try something different you wont regret it. Will return whenever were back in the area

So lucky we found this gem on our holiday. One of the best Chinese I've had so far. Original Southern Chinese taste. Friendly staff and big portion. Ordered chicken curry Malay style was so delicious and couldn't finish. My daughter just loves their egg fried rice all the time. There's a lot of choice on the menu and with pictures which helps if you don't know much about Chinese food. We went there every day since we found out everything we ordered just so yummy. If you want some real Chinese food, you can't go wrong to visit there.

Don't let the decor put you off. This is probably the best Chinese we've had. We ate in the restaurant ( not takeaway) and had a menu for two where you can choose from a select set of dishes. All were exceptional, authentic and together, very filling.

Run by Malaysian, they have very delicious curry noodle soup, beef noodle soup, duck noodle soup, fried flat rice noodle and lots more. Best Chinese restaurants in bournemouth.

Just ate here and the food was excellent especially the hot and sour soup. We also had steamed custard buns as a desert which were delightful. Definately a hidden gem. If I am back in Bournemouth I will be coming back. Don't let the decor put you off as the service was friendly and food was brilliant. Customers were openly complimenting the waitress while we were there.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful Chinese takeaway experience, look no further than Shang Pin. This gem stands out not only for its ability to accept card payments online but also for its speedy service and friendly delivery drivers. Diners rave about the beautiful presentation of the food and generous portion sizes that leave you satisfied every time. Beautiful food, generous portions, and lovely service!!! Shang Pin's experience was a game changer for me. I never had much luck with Chinese takeaways so far, but fortunately yesterday I gave Chinese food another try, and it was worth it.

I have eaten here for a few years now and the standard of quality has never done nothing but increase! Through enough visits and eyes on the kitchen I can say I am absolutely 100% impressed and would equally say the same when it comes to the freshness of food. Clean and delicious. Enough said !

Generous portions, fair price. One of my favourite Chinese takeaways in the local area
Phil C — Google review
The best Chinese we’ve ever had, have been using for 5 years and won’t go to another! The food is consistently to a high standard, and very generous portions. So good to the point I have ordered Shang pin for my parents and both sets love it so much one drives from Ferndown, and the other drives from Fordingbridge - if that doesn’t say something… we’re moving to Wimborne soon, and expect we will still drive to Shang pin (sad I know), unless you can extend your delivery range?? Please! If you like smoked shredded chicken, these guys have nailed it (nice and sweet). A tip when ordering crispy noodle dishes, make a note for the noodles to be packed separate to the sauce so they stay crispy! I always order direct to support the small business and the £1 delivery fee is very reasonable compared to food apps, always gets delivered very hot with a very friendly delivery driver! Keep up the great food!
Matt H — Google review
Absolutely ridiculous. Ordered special fried rice with no egg or sea food due to allergies. Still came with egg and seafood. What's the point of even asking . What waist of a trip and £7.50. Won't be returning or recommending
Daniel C — Google review
Misleading website says free delivery with £20 spend ( I get it's only £1 but on principle it's out of order ) if you order online it's a mandatory delivery charge only by phone you don't pay the charge also it's to cover a charge to them separate from delivery. I hate being mislead for £1 and because of it I'll being going elsewhere from here on out, you have lost a long time customer 14/15 years spending £60 /£80 a month for a £1 dodgy chdrge. Thank you for everything over the years but I have to stand by my principles.

Worst Chinese food that I’ve ever eaten in my life! We ordered the crispy beef noodles. And they were soft and overcooked. And the flavour was awful. Definitely not what we had ordered. It really ruined our night. I really do not understand the reviews that says that the food is amazing at this place. Will never ever order again.
Guadalupe L — Google review
The food was way better than I expected, though I am not sure that it was what I ordered, or what I thought I ordered. Maybe I just imagined a different type of dish with that name. The food container was broken, which I do not appreciate. But overall, it was a nice experience. Worth it. And the portion was quite big, so I shared it.

City Bay Views is a popular dining spot that offers a diverse menu featuring Peking, Szechuan, and Cantonese dishes. Located in an award-winning hotel overlooking Bournemouth's Pier and beaches, the restaurant provides a welcoming atmosphere with excellent food and generous portions. The friendly staff and stunning bay views add to the overall dining experience. Additionally, another location offers impressive views across Holes Bay and the Twin Sails bridge, along with top-notch Chinese cuisine served by efficient and friendly staff.
This restaurant is excellent and very welcoming. My family, friends and I use CBV regularly. The food is always excellent and generous. The service is very friendly and accommodating also. The view across the bay is also very nice and the waiters go out of their way to help. Food is the best I have come across - service is always friendly and swift. If you want a classier dining experience, then this is the place to come. No problems what so ever!

Do yourself a favour and don't go here. The ice cream they served me was not right. I'm not an idiot and I know what ice cream is supposed to taste like. It tasted just like it has been defrosted and refrozen. But they wouldn't take it off the bill or replace it - and my friend I was with was well known to the manager/owner bloke. So he has lost all of the custom he gets each year from my friends company with Christmas parties - over a bowl of ice cream. Perhaps he should have shown more respect to his customers.

(Sadly now closed - early 2017 - for redevelopment) This has been one of the best Chinese restaurants for over 20 years! Looks like a warehouse from the outside but lovely atmosphere inside, with wonderful views across Holes Bay and the striking and impressive Twin Sails bridge.

Came here for dinner with my family. Service was rubbish, rice was bland and tasteless and the duck and chicken dishes were dry and of poor quality but the worst part about the experience was that my iPhone was stolen by one of the employees. We were the last customers in the restaurant and so it was not taken by another customer. I tracked my phone via GPS to the restaurant and after ringing the phone it then moved up and down th e road opposite City Bay Views. I will never eat here again!

The restaurant is a small establishment that also supplies take-away fare (despite being small, the preparation of take-aways kept the kitchen busy). The waiter was friendly, helpful and efficient. There were a good selection of Dim Sum and main courses available. Those chosen were well prepared and tasted excellent. The food was delivered fairly slowly and individually, so as not to overfill the small table. Well worth a try if you are in Bournemouth or Poole; we will be visiting again soon.

Ordered a takeaway this evening, drove 10 minutes back to our accomodation and the food was stone cold, the noodles has no flavour what so ever, the crispy chilli chicken was so sweet it was inedible, the spring rolls were semi raw and soggy. 😔 Very disappointed. We did adapt the order and took out the veg from chicken Chow mein and the chilli from the crispy chilli chicken however, even with those adaptations it should still have had flavour.

RESPONSE FROM OWNER BELOW IS ALL FALSE. WE CALLED 25 TIMES, NOT THREE OF FOUR… AS YOU CAN SEE IN PHOTO. IVE UPLOADED A PHOTO OF THE HORRID DRY, INEDIBLE NOODLES WE RECEIVED FALSELY INSTEAD OF THE CHICKEN DISH WE ORDERED AND PAID FOR (HAD TO FISH THE BOX OF NOODLES OUT THE BIN TO TAKE THIS PHOTO) 8pm -9pm traffic was not existent. She says my husband was kind - he went mad in there and told them to watch out for a bad review which was when he was given the delivery fee back. Laughable attempt from the owner to salvage their reputation which has gone completely down the toilet. We fully intend to tell everyone we can to never eat here. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE AND DO NOT ORDER!! We ordered and were told it would be 30mins. 45 minutes later, we phoned to find out where the food was and were told they’d missed the order and it would be another 30mins. 30 minutes pass and still no food, so we try to phone again and no answer. We tried to phone over 20 times with it ringing and then going to answerphone every time. After waiting 90 minutes for the food and having no ability to speak to the restaurant, my partner drove down to see what was going on and get our food. He was handed the food and headed home. We got it out and the food was cold and the order was incorrect. Surprise surprise, they didn’t answer the phone. Couldn’t face driving down again but bad food and a terrible experience all round. AVOID!!!!

The Canton Chinese Takeaway Poole is a contemporary Asian cuisine restaurant that offers a large selection of Cantonese, Szechuan and Peking dishes. The restaurant is situated in the centre of Poole and has a lovely outdoor seating area.
One of my favourite Chinese takeaways. They always give me extra fortune cookies (my dog doesn't like to miss out). I'm vegan and the veggies are 100% yummy. The sauces are rich and delicious and they don't skimp out on the packaging - although I have enough plastic containers now! Always happy staff and always good, hot scrumptious food! Oh and quick too!

Myself and my wife had a wonderfully delicious takeaway from here last week that was delivered extremely fast and really got our hopes up that we had found a takeaway that wasn’t a disappointment. In expectance of the same taste bud delighting meal we had last week we ordered the same meals again tonight and waited for our mouth watering meal to be delivered……but. Unfortunately tonight our experience hasn’t been the same, the food was cold on arrival which I can forgive due to todays sudden drop in temperature, the food was also bland and the chicken tasted like we had bought it from the toy section at pets at home. With regret I will not be ordering from here again as I feel I have just wasted my money on cold, bland and unfortunately unforgettably bad food.
Dan P — Google review
I have ordered from this place about three times now the first time I ordered it took one hour and 30 minutes to arrive the second time I ordered again took one hour and 30 minutes to arrive. I understand that it was a Saturday, but regardless it should not take this long third and final time I decided to give it a Final chance it took two hours just for them to turn around and say that they have cancelled my order. Bye then it was 11 o’clock at night nearly everything had closed and clearly it was their intention to cancel my order why even except orders in the first place? The food is okay nothing special not anything to write home about not something that you would miss either. I would highly avoid the salt and pepper chicken as it is literally just batter with the seasoning on there is no chicken actually in it. The chicken chow mein is okay but incredibly greasy and taste nothing how it is supposed to And the majority of the meat tasted cheap and almost rubbery. I would highly advise saving your time and money and take yourself somewhere where you know the food will be good. The delivery will actually arrive and their delivery staff don’t make snarky rude comments about having to call to notify they had arrived because on my account there is a note saying that my doorbell does not work. “Please call when arrived and I will come down to meet you” and apparently that’s a problem. 3.5 stars in this place for a reason

Aweful food. We ordered a Thai Red and green curry with rice. Didn't look anything like or taste like Thai food. We complained and initially they said they would give a refund if we took the food back. We agreed but 5 mins later they called back to say that the manager wouldn't give a refund. He explained that they were a Chinese restaurant not Thai so we couldn't expect the same quality. To top it off there was a hair in the food (which once pulled out turned out quite long) and when we mentioned it they said we had put it there! Please do not buy any food here, worst service and food I have ever experienced! I wish we read the reviews before going here

I normally get food from the canton while visiting the barking cat next door. But I have also had their takeaway delivered many times and it is my go-to Chinese in the area. Always has decent portion sizes and great hot food delivered.

I got a takeaway to add to the chinese food i had cooked. After reading the bad reviews i took a chance and ordered. I must say the food was good. The schezwan prawns were tasty, the salt and chiili prawns though smaller and fewer than my usual takeaway, was tasty. Needed some fried garlic though. The special noodles were very tasty. The delivery was quick. I didnt like that £1 was pre charged for delivery as i like to tip the delivery person rather than it going to someone else.

Ocean Palace at Harbour Heights is a hidden gem that has been serving exquisite Chinese cuisine for over 20 years. The restaurant offers fresh and delicious meals, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. With exceptional views and a relaxed atmosphere, it's the perfect place to enjoy lunch or dinner with friends and family. The staff are known for their courteous service and extensive knowledge of the menu, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
Had a beautiful and tasty meal with 5 of my dearest friends. We went for 3 of the same set meals for 2 which worked out adequate for the 6 of us. We added a few extra side dishes which we shared. A nice surprise for brother & sister who had recently had their respective birthdays. Thoroughly recommend this place, a hidden gem and I can now say I've eaten at this place at 3 different locations but the quality of the food and staff remained the same

Disappointing. It's a shame because this restaurant promised so much. The setting is fantastic and the views are amazing. However... When we arrived they didn't know about our booking, even though we had phoned and booked earlier in the week. They eventually "remembered it" but that was nearly half an hour later. It was 30 minutes before we were offered drinks, and another 10 minutes before they arrived. The "menus" were actually just the pamphlets they post through peoples letterboxes. The food, when it arrived, was good and enjoyed by most, but one of our party had warm (read almost cold) food delivered to them. All in all it was a very disappointing experience. It should be a high class restaurant given its location. But it feels very much like a takeaway being operated at a posh table. I'm surprised the Harbour Heights allows it to operate given their normal clientele. Great food, great location, spoiled by poor and haphazard service.

We booked a table for 12 in August for my daughters birthday.. total disaster.. terrible service! .. took half an hour before we were offered any drinks or even a menu.. took another 20 minutes until they took the order... other 20 minutes still no drinks or our food orders taken which by the way was set menus .. so not hard... drinks some forgotten others wrong had to tell the waiter 3x At this point my patience was running out.. but we were a large party and at this time in the evening we really had no other options but to endure this 🎪 s... show until the end. .. the atmosphere.. another example the lightning in there was up so much it was like shopping in a 90s New look store or being in a collapsed super nova.. we asked if they could maybe turn it down a bit.. which they declined... When the food eventually came out the portion sizes were small and were poor quality.. .. the crispy shredded beef was so chewy we couldn't eat it.. the sauce that was poured over it seemed to be maple syrup. None of the staff came over to check on our meals.. asked if we needed any more drinks ?.. i observed them mostly talking to themselves .. twice members of our table had to go over to them to get there attention they seemed totally oblivious to what was going on around the restaurant. It wasn't very busy so there was no excuse for this... We asked for the bill which we requested to be spilt .. this is the one and only time we saw the manager.. he appeared quickly telling us this was not possible and too Complicated to do... we just wanted to pay and leave. On the way out one of the waiters had the front to say 'have a nice evening'.. to which i quickly responded i will now this is over with!. I will never return here again.. there using the reputation from the old Ocean Place that used to be at West Cliff.. trust me this place is nothing like it.. The hotel and veiws over the bay are why people are lured in. Overpriced.. poor service.. terrible food.. bad atmosphere.. avoid at all costs!.

First visit, last visit! Background, a family meal for 6 on a Saturday evening high season arrival at 8pm, spend £250. Let's start by stating that the food, presentation and attention was very good. We finished our mains by about 9:20 and the table was hastily cleared (good service we thought). Then the wheels fell off! There was no further contact by waiting staff, so at 9:40 we asked for the desert menu. The (assumed) manager/senior waitress informed us that the kitchen was closed from 9:30 so no deserts available except a scoop of ice cream. We all looked dumbfounded and were told frostily that we should have booked an earlier arrival. And that was it. As we finished drinks the empties were almost taken from our hands as staff were clearly hovering around us. We were asked to pay the bill, and the atmosphere turned distinctly chilly as it was clear they wanted everyone (including those ones couple of other tables), out. Now I can fully understand a policy of not taking new arrivals after 9:30, but to cut off existing customers with no warning whatsoever, is inexcusable, particularly on a Saturday night. So no, they won't be seeing us again and I think if the hotel itself backs conduct of this nature it can only do huge reputational damage.

We are locals but haven't been back to the restaurant since the pandemic. We used to go for lunch.. as enjoy lunchtimes out.. and evenings in. Excellent food.. and we have known the lovely staff for years, when they used to be in a different venue. We may need to venture out.. of an evening!

If you're on the hunt for a delightful culinary experience, look no further than Alex Wok Chinese Takeaway & Delivery. This gem has quickly become a favorite among locals, thanks to its exceptional food and outstanding service. Diners rave about the tender lamb curry, perfectly spiced to suit your palate, alongside their special fried rice that caters to dietary needs without compromising flavor. The ribs are another highlight—so deliciously moreish that you'll find yourself going back for seconds!
Wow just wow First time visit an won't be the last The food was exceptional, best in town by far! The lamb curry was bangingly tasty an perfect spice level, can be hitter if asked. Lamb was tender an succulent. The special friend rice as asked for no prawn and they accompanied our needs due to allergies. The ribs was awesome and moreish! The sweet an sour sauce was sweet and sour and lovely consistency. The spring rolls was the best I had and I judge all places in chicken balls these was all so the best I have had! Bravo to the chefs and the staff was friendly and very helpful and understanding! Very clean premises and the food didn't take long too cook and was rushed or compromised by trying to be quick Ten out of ten And five stars like the hygiene rating Not to be missed
#DANTHEWALKINGMAN G — Google review
Takeaway was very tasteless. Charsu pork was bland, spring rolls had no filling. Special fried rice was the only thing I could eat. The ribs were dry and the chicken was inedible. Prawn toast was a greasy mess. Sweet and sour chicken was ok. The ribs did not look anything like the website picture. Would not buy again from here. Chinese fusion had lower rating but was 100% better food.

Having tried many different Chinese restaurants over the years I’m in no doubt this was the BEST Chinese takeaway in the area. Perfect food delivered on time, hot and full of flavour.

Alex Wok had provided me on many occasions with a succulent Chinese meal. Delicious and not whiffy. The satay chicken is yummy 🤤

Always fantastic food and always speedy delivery too! When someone asks on Facebook for a recommended local Chinese Takeaway, Alex Wox comes up on average every 8 out of 10 comments. Extremely friendly staff and a ☆☆☆☆☆ hygiene rating.

Nice grilled pork dumplings and very nice satay chicken on skewers with lovely pineapple chunks and white onion, amazing combo but we were very disappointed with the Roast Duck Fried Rice, the meat wasn't fresh at all :( And Chicken with lemon sauce it's of a personal taste, my partner loved it and it was not my thing. We've got free prawn crackers which was nice but tasted not good at all so went straight in the bin and we hate throwing food :( So all in general food experience was quite avarage and I don't honestly think we would have ordered again from that same place.

Unfortunately 3 stars because. I ordered noodles with chicken and veggies not onion and I received just noodles with chicken no sign of veggies.

The chinese takeaway No1 Wok is arguably the best in at least 300 miles, with their Kung Pao chicken and salt and pepper prawns being particularly well-received. While it's not local to the reviewer, they would love to see the takeaway come to their town - preferably with some of their own skills!
No1 Wok is our No 1 Chinese take away in Poole. In fact it is one of the best Chinese take away that we have been to in the UK. Ordering is easy by phone or online. I believe it is slightly cheaper by phone. Good can be collected (quicker) or delivered (on average for us about 45 minutes to an hour). The food is strong in flavour. If you like you good spicy, then this place is definitely for you. We have used this take away many times and each time the food has been spot on. Almost all of the dishes have been excellent. The only dish that we were disappointed with is tonight’s starter (salt and spicy tofu), it was very dry and hard. Other than that everything has been excellent. I would highly recommend the beef and satay sauce, chicken and black bean sauce and Singapore rice noodles. This is an amazing take away. Highly recommended.
Andrew C — Google review
First time ordering No 1 Wok and so glad I did! The food was lovely, best Chinese I've had for ages. The sweet and sour Chicken balls were just right, not too stodgy or crispy. The chop suey was very tasty with tender chicken, BBQ sauce was on point! Everything ordered was nice and hot. The delivery time was exactly how long they said, plus the staff were nice and friendly! Top service
Katie T — Google review
Amazing Chinese takeaway place. Very good food, good menu, affordable price, and very friendly staff. The chicken balls, and the sesame prawn toast were our faves. Would highly recommend to everyone looking for a good takeaway here in Poole
Phil M — Google review
Came here last night with my siblings around 9:30, and it honestly felt like they didn’t want us there. The service was terrible, the staff was really rude, and instead of proper cups, they gave us water in plastic bowls, which was just odd. When we said we wanted to dine in, the guy’s reaction was so unwelcoming. The food itself was nice, but the attitude of the staff completely ruined the experience.

I very rarely have take away anymore partly because of money & sometimes because of quality but I had a chicken curry & a Singapore fried rice from here & it was amazing the best Chinese I have had for many years & right on my doorstep I would highly recommend & I will be back for sure

Ordered food online, asked for extra spicy on the curry, was excellent, best Chinese ive had in the Bournemouth/Poole area. All food was excellent and very tasty, will 100% use again

My food was not at all nice, it was overcooked, the chicken was very dry, and the rest was covered in black burnt bits. I will not be going there again, it was a total waste of money.

Wong's Dragon continues to impress with its exceptional service and delicious offerings. After returning from a holiday, I placed an order on a Friday night and was pleasantly surprised by the speedy delivery—just 15 minutes! Having sampled various takeout options in Poole and Bournemouth, I can confidently say that Wong's Dragon stands out as one of the finest. Whether you're working away or simply craving quality food, this place delivers outstanding meals with remarkable efficiency.
Another amazing order last night. Back from holiday in a Friday and delivery of lovely quality food within 15 minutes. Never had a bad order from this place. I have tried all others in Poole and Bournemouth and this is up there as one of the best.
Sarah S — Google review
We’ve been loyal customers of Wong's for many years and have always recommended it to others. The last time we ordered, the food wasn’t quite up to its usual standard, but we put it down to just a bad day. Unfortunately, after ordering again last night, it’s clear something has changed — and not for the better. Prices have gone up, portion sizes have noticeably shrunk, and the heavy use of salt made some dishes almost inedible. The house special curry was only half-filled in a small container, and to our surprise, not a single prawn in sight. I’m not sure if there’s been a change in ownership or a new chef, but sadly the quality just isn’t what it used to be. After years of being a go-to, we’re now on the hunt for a new Chinese.

Saturday 30th August Gotta say NOT impressed with either the food or the delivery. In total we waited 2hrs 5mins for our food to turn up, when it did it was Luke warm. Order placed at 19:00 good delivered at 21:05 Found out you were short staffed in the kitchen, be honest with your customers or loose them. You lost this one for good

Just spent, £65 on Chinese.. the duck wasn’t edible it was dryer than the Sahara. They forgot the sweet and sour sauce for the chicken balls (grease balls) . First and last time I would eat there. Ow and to top it off bottle of Coca Cola was warm so couldn’t drink with meal
ACROS C — Google review
Thought we’d try a new Chinese from the one we usually go to. Immediate regret. One main dish wasn’t even delivered, after waiting over a hour for delivery. Chips were undercooked, and soggy. Vegetable spring rolls were battered. So we didn’t bother to chase up the missing dish as the rest of the food was below average.
Carly M — Google review
Avoid this place. Made the mistake of trying it out. Food was awful. Duck was so dry and chewy, chow mein super greasy, spring rolls looked like battered sausage! Crispy sweet chilli chicken was a battered chicken steak chopped up! Way too much salt in everything!
Bec R — Google review
Absolutely vile and gutted we have just wasted £38. Chips tasted like oven chips. Chicken balls was way over cooked sweet and sour sauce was like a jelly pancake rolls was awful. Definitely gone down hill and Definitely won't be ordering again from here

Wowzers…! Was ‘recommended’ this from the local community page, as it delivers to our village… our usual order is around £50… this came to £75…!! Not a lot of flavour, from what we could tell through all the salt…! First a last time being ripped off here…!!

This gem has quickly become a favorite among locals, thanks to its friendly service and fresh, delicious food that’s prepared in just about 15 minutes. Diners rave about the quality of each dish, with highlights including the mouthwatering Szechuan lamb and flavorful young chow mein. Whether you’re ordering for one or feeding a group, you can expect generous portions that are always piping hot upon delivery.
Absolutely amazing - and that is an understatement! Delivery - Food arrived piping hot and was delivered by a very polite and lovely lady who had text us to let us know she was on her way as we are staying in a hotel- thank you very much! Arrived within 30 minutes. Food - everything we ordered was better than we have ever eaten anywhere else before. Everything tasted so fresh, which I didn’t think was possible ordering from a Chinese. Piping hot and just delicious. Portions are huge - A small rice and chips could easily feed 4 people which is very rare nowadays. Customer Service - staff were very attentive, helpful and very lovely. Overall, great value for money, amazing staff, exceptional fresh food, quick delivery times - 10 stars if it was possible!

I visited your restaurant yesterday while on holiday, shortly after the school term ended. We were looking forward to a nice Chinese meal as a treat for the family. While the food was okay and we paid £23 for the meal, I was quite disappointed with how I was spoken to when I politely asked if we could have some complimentary prawn crackers for the children. The owner’s response—stating abruptly and publicly, “We do not give free prawn crackers”—felt unnecessarily blunt and embarrassing, especially in front of a number of other customers. I wasn’t expecting anything extravagant, just a small gesture, which many other Chinese restaurants I’ve been to offer, especially for kids. Back in London, I can get a great quality Chinese meal for less money, and I was even given two portions of complimentary prawn crackers for my children, which made them really happy. It’s those little touches that make a big difference in customer experience. I’m not upset about not getting free crackers—I understand every business has its policy. What I found upsetting was the tone and manner in which it was handled. A more polite explanation would have gone a long way. I just wanted to share this feedback in hopes it might be taken on board to improve how customers are treated in the future.

Have been looking for a good Chinese takeaway since we moved to this area just over a year ago. Tried a few and were OK but have to say the Beijing Palace will now be our go to for Chinese Takeaways. Welcome was friendly, food was cooked fresh in about 15 mins as we were told it would be, and reasonably priced. Every dish was really good, and we were very pleased to have found a Chinese takeaway that pretty much matched the excellent takeaway that we were used to. Well done Beijing Palace looking forward to our next visit.

Zhan Xung Chinese Takeaway is a great place to go for authentic chinese cuisine. The food is always fresh and tastes amazing, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some delicious Chinese food!
Excellent takeaway, good value, lovely hot food done quick. Not the fault of the restaurant, but for reference for future customers, the surrounding area is very dark at night and I felt nervous returning to my car alone.

So, firstly I know it is New Years Eve, but when you order a Chinese Take Away to be delivered to your house at 6:08pm and get told it will be delivered at 7:55pm, you think result… Then it gets to 8:47pm and you ring up and ask where your delivery is, you get told it has just left. We live 10 minutes from the Chinese so you give them 20 minutes and I rang back… It is still on it’s way!! 9:30pm was our cut off time, so I rang back… cancelled order, which I do not believe was ever made, or sent out for delivery!! Now I need to wait for my £50+ to be returned to my back after three working days!! Absolute farce! I really feel for the lovely girl working on answering the phone, but this will be the last Chinese I order and I will make sure friends and family know too!! Three and a half hours wait for a no show Chinese even on New Years Eve is diabolical!! So we went to the ever reliable Pizza Delight in Broadstone and got a take-away in 15 minutes!! Did someone order a Chinese!!! Happy New Year!!

As a truck driver I’m up and down the country all week and not normally this far south. But this is a Chinese I’ll definitely be trying to get back too. The honey ribs were to die for, soft yet tender and the honest sauce was sweet but too overpowering. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area.

I had a takeaway from this place last night it was over an hour late and the food tasted like it had been cooked the night before and reheated. Awful, this chinese has gone massively downhill. Food took nearly an hour longer than stated. The food was cold and parts missing. Called the takeaway and they told me the boss was out and back in 2 hours. I called back and they left the phone on so that I could hear as the boss shouted in the background just tell them I’m not hear. They then cut me off the phone. I called back and asked for the manager, a woman came into the phone and said that the boss wasn’t in and she would be back tomorrow. I asked approximately 7-8 times what the bosses name was and the woman said that she didn’t know her bosses name. Do not use this Chinese it was possibly the worst service I have ever received and I was charged over 50quid for the privilege.

The worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. The dishes were either extremely bland or intensely salty, with nothing in between. We had to throw it away as we disliked it so much. The staff on the phone and delivery were lovely though, so the service was good.
Sarah L — Google review
Ordered some food and asked specifically for BBQ sauce instead of sweet and sour with the chicken balls. The delivery turned up with sweet and sour sauce, and a missing tub of food. I wasn't too happy about this, so to be told it would take another 20-30 mins for the sauce and food to be delivered was disappointing! Staff didn't seem too bothered but I eventually got the missing bits. Food was mediocre, nothing special. Real shame because it used to be one of my favourite take aways, unfortunately the quality of food and service seems to have gone down rapidly. Won't be ordering again

Kengs Garden is a reliable and affordable Chinese takeaway in Poole. They offer delicious food at a great price, along with a reliable delivery service. The online ordering system on their website makes it even easier to save money. Superb!
Wok-tastic!!! I had Chop Wok's Special with noodles 🍜, spring rolls and prawn crackers. I checked the Hygiene Score before I went in - 5/5 so a great start. Great customer service from the young gentleman on the till. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I paid with cash, which you should always do, as they lose money if you pay by card. There's a cashpoint outside Tesco Express a couple of doors down if you don't have any on you. The one thing I'm usually let down with in Chinese takeaways are the spring rolls, but not this time. They were cooked to perfection - wonderful crispiness outside and delicious inside. Tasty noodles and great prawn crackers. I have attached photos and a copy of the menu. It's my new favourite takeaway. Thank you Chop Wok! Nom nom nom 😋

Ordered online, which said estimated 35-45 minute delivery time. 1hr 20 mins later I called as no delivery. They said yes we've got the order we'll get onto it. The Chinese takeaway Dina Zone offers terrible food and poor service. The chicken satay was dry and the sauce was runny, while the special chow mein had no prawns in it. The prawn crackers were also quite yuk. It is unknown how much money was taken from customers' accounts, as we felt sick after starting to eat the food. However, all in all, the takeaway is great despite these shortcomings.

Really not nice! This has been the worse Chinese we have ever had. Everything was drenched in disgusting tasting oil, the chicken was so tough and chewy, the prawn crackers tasted of nothing but rancid oil and went in the bin after we'd eaten two. All bland, clearly very cheap produce & anything deep fried hadn't been drained. We wish we'd spent a bit more and had gone to Top Wok in Parkstone! We won't be going back, ever.

We tried Chopsticks House a few weeks back and it wasn't too bad except the hot and sour soup was way too spicy for me and I love spicy food! They also supplied the wrong prawn dish, however they did deliver a replacement within 10 minutes. Sadly, last night's meal was a real disappointment...everything was very greasy, the sesame prawn toast was completely dried out, pancake rolls tasteless and the king prawns with ginger and spring onions seemed to be a brown mush of sliced onion with a few prawns in it. So, after a promising start, I'm afraid we won't be going back

My partener and i moved here in July 2017 and had a lovely meal from chopsticks. We dont order take away very offen only on special occasions. We decided to order chinese on valentines day 2018 and my partener spend nearly £30 on food that was late getting to us ( even though we are just round the corner). It was warm food (not hot). And the seaweed was too salty we couldnt eat it, the chicken balls were tastless, and the most disappointing part was the crispy shredded chilli beef. It was in loads of gravy coloured sauce and the beef was chewy, and it didnt even taste spicy. I will be complaining once they open up today. Will let you know how they deal with compliants. Update i complained and they have put £10 credit on my account to spend next time.

The Happy Palace takeaway in Corfe Mullen is a great place to get Chinese food. The food is always fresh and cooked perfectly, and there are no tight portions. They also have a great delivery service.
Love the food from here always hot fresh and tasty also the value for money is great especially on a Tuesday and a Wednesday when they do four dishes for £11.95. Tonight I had chicken curry, chicken fried rice, chicken chow mein and sweet and sour chicken that fed two adults and two children no problem.

Appears they hire people hard of hearing or unable to count past the number 2. Food never turns up correct. Missing items or wrong items. Expect us to travel 15 minutes to collect a tub of rice. Knowing full well you won’t. “We’ll add it to your order”. Nah I’ll look elsewhere. Used to be a great place, now it’s bottom tier. Avoid.
Dan H — Google review
Always loved it here but recently has started to become poor. Ordered before and had food poisoning over 4 days however It could of been down to something else I ate fast forward a couple months I try my luck again and suddenly I’m ill again it’s not adding up

They say a picture paints a 1000 words, well imagine my face when I opened up the order from happy Palace which arrived over 2 hours after ordering. Not only was the food soggy and clearly been left under a heat lamp for god knows how long, but my curry had its own special ingredients!!!! This is one place I would avoid like covid
Andy D — Google review
I have been ordering from here for years and value for money is great and food itself is lovely except for their satay sauce which is like water with barely any flavour, unfortunately this is my favourite Chinese dish so it sucks that I can't order my satay chicken skewers however their salt and pepper chicken and bbq ribs is lush so I order that. One thing I will make a complaint of is you can't order the tue, wed, Fri, Sun offer online anymore which is a major issue because trying to get through via phone can be a nightmare and did prevent me from ordering one night so if you guys fix that which should be common sense and look at your satay sauce (maybe try The Cantons) as a example cause theirs is awesome! then I maybe be able to really sing your praises and bump you up a star or 2.
Tasha D — Google review
Sadly not the experience we were used to 4 years ago (moved out of the area) Firstly overcharged by using the '4 dishes' selection (cheaper ordered without) spent £23.75 and no prawn crackers. Small portions. Thank goodness I ordered OK sauce to make everything tasty. Hopefully its a 'one off' experience.
Tracy H — Google review
The best Chinese food in the area and a reasonable price with super fast delivery. Love the Friday and Sunday offer any 4 dishes for £16.95. The food is very tasty and great portions. Staff are all very nice too. Great place!
Joe W — Google review
We order every weekend pretty much and it's always good! But tonight has topped it off for me. Everything was soggy, not hot, the chicken in three dishes were tough to eat and horrible and the Noddle dishes were mushy.. have they got new management or something ? Honestly food was rubbish.

"Lucky Star" in Poole is a hidden gem offering outstanding Chinese cuisine. The food is fresh, hot, and free of grease, making it excellent value for money. While some found the House Special Chow Mein a bit salty, the rest of the menu was delightful. The restaurant provides quick service and can accommodate vegan preferences. Customers appreciate that the food is always freshly cooked and never reheated, making it their favorite Chinese spot in the area with amazing food and top-notch customer service.
Very surprised how much food we received and how tasty 85% of it was. The other 15% was quite acceptable, but the rest really was standout. We eat out quite a lot up and down the country and Chinese takeaways are one of our regulars. This is easily in the top 5%. I only regret is it's not close to where we live, so I wonder if we'll ever get to visit again.

We were staying in Rockley park for a holiday and decided to have a Chinese takeaway there were a few to choose from but we decided to go for this one as it had higher ratings than the others. The lady who served us was very friendly and polite. Came back to our pod and the chicken chow mein was amazing (hubby said the best he has had) the Singapore fried rice… the chicken was lovely but the rice was very dry chips and curry sauce was delicious too. Overall a nice Chinese restaurant!!

This is definitely a little gem, great food and value for money, we had the set meal for 3 and there was loads, this is not my normal Chinese, but I will definitely be using it again

Away on holiday and fancied a Chinese WOW we couldn’t have made a better choice……. You normally find Chinese is never better than the one you use at home but this was superb ( cooked to perfection ) . 5*****

Little hidden gem of a Chinese in Poole. The food was of outstanding quality. Fresh, hot and completely grease free! 10/10 and excellent value for money. I'm not from this part of the UK but will definitely be visiting again when I'm back down south.

Beware. We ordered from this Chinese takeaway to be delivered to rockly park, but what they are doing is charging you alot more for being a hoilday maker than if you were a local!. £2.00 extra per item, plus a delivery charge. Although food great.

Have been a customer for many years. Great family run business, always order in person, so can't comment on delivery, but food is good value and tastes great.

I would have given it 0 star if I could! This is the worse Chinese take away I've ever had in my life. I don't know who wrote the reviews for this place but I'm sure these people have been paid to do it!

Good old Chinese food one Chinese take away that can get the order right lol. Parking can be a bit of a problem at busy times due to the coop and chippy next door.

I ordered a Chicken Curry and Egg Fried Rice last night. In my opinion the food was very tasty and full of Chicken, veg and mushrooms. The service was very pleasant. Friendly staff. Prompt. All in all. I would recommend this takeaway to anyone. Very satisfied. Will be eating there again without a doubt.

All the reviews on justeat about food not showing up anywhere near on time seem to be spot on. In the end, after waiting far too long after the already lengthy estimated delivery time, I finally got through on the phone to be told we'd have to wait longer as there were still other orders in front! It was at this point that I cancelled the order. So much for relaxing with a takeaway after a stressful working week. I'm all for supporting local businesses at this uncertain time but they need to put some effort into keeping customers happy.

I’ve had takeaways from here many times before but never had it been this bad! Ordered mixed hor’derves(sorry not sure of the spelling lol) hose special fried rice, king prawn with spring onion & ginger and Singapore rice noodles, costing over £35. All I can say is totally disappointed with all of it! Everything tasted of old grease with no seasoning…. In fact I’m not sure the king prawn had spring onion & ginger in it- certainly couldn’t taste it at all! I’m not sure if due to storm Eunice the regular chef couldn’t get to work but whoever was cooking needs to step down as cooking to this standard will end up with no orders! Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!
Jo N — Google review
Ordered a sweet and sour hong kong style chicken, but was quite disapointed as the portions were tiny, it was only like 8 tablespoons worth of food maximum, box was really tiny for the price. Taste was decent but not worth the price compared to other local takeaways.
Charles L — Google review
Quick delivery and well packaged. Clean food and well cooked. However, the chicken chow mein was flavourless. The batter on the sweet and sour chicken balls tasted soggy and stale. And the curry sauce was watery. Perhaps spend more time making the batter, adding spices and sauces and thickening the curry sauce. We won't mind waiting longer!
Danny W — Google review
I can honestly say its one of the best chinese takeaways we have had. The food was delivered prompt still warm enough to eat. Between us we ordered chicken satay, chicken chow mein, plain chow, vegetable spring rolls, chips, curry sauce. Enough for two meals as generous portions. Food was tasty. We ordered through Deliveroo..

Avoid!!!. Ive spent all night vomiting 14/2/22 . The chowmeins were ok ,ribs were massive bones with a bit too much of it dried out from day before. The food we had all had a bit of a slight tainted taste...possibly old cooking oil .The chinese chicken curry is what made me sick... Will not be going back

The Chinese takeaway Full House is the best in town, and they serve up Chips in Gravy which is an amazing speciality. Only one other place does this off-menu item, so it's definitely worth a visit if you're a fan!
Great food and fast service – no complaints on that front. The classic Chinese takeaway dishes are spot on: tasty, fresh, and generous portions. The only downside is the appearance of the place – the interior looks a bit tired and could do with a deep clean or refresh. A little TLC would go a long way to matching the quality of the food.

I usually never leave bad negative reviews However this is disgusting, Last week I ordered food my ribs were burnt My chicken curry the chicken was raw My rice was boiled rice not even the rice I ordered either. I went back for a refund the manager told me to come back in a week if I didn’t receive a refund today I went in for my refund I was in there for 30 minutes they asked for proof I didn’t receive my refund via card and I showed them my bank statements and online chatting with my bank that they asked me to do I did all of that and still wouldn’t give me my refund. Then the managers mum got so fed up with the manager and his wife not given me the refund she did in the end disputing £13 you’d think for a takeaway they wouldn’t mind giving a refund for just £13 considering I had raw food and burnt ribs then the managers wife started shouting at me and my mum infront of customers really bad customer service skills and very very rude they also cannot cook food. Since they took over from the previous owners the food is vile and they don’t know how to cook and communicate in a nice respectful manner with their customers. The old managers the wife and husband would have NEVER treated me like this. Also while standing there disputing for 30 minutes I saw piles and piles of cooked food which included MEAT under the sink pipes why isn’t meat in the fridge? just laying around uncovered under a dripping sink and all food exposes to dirty germs photo below. God knows how long that’s been sitting there as i went in there last week to complain about my food the first time about my food and that food under the sink was there last week and STILL IS THERE. sat there unopened exposed to dirty loose dust and dirt and germs under sinks none of that food is severed fresh. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if there is rats around the back and rat droppings to follow. So unhygienic and dirty. Be very cautious

Aww the food is so delicious I absolutely adore it . If you spend 30 pounds you have enough food to feed 2 people for 2 days. And so many different things I really recommend is DELICIOUS! Delivery is quick enough

Thank you for the food! It arrived much quicker than expected, which was a great surprise. Everything tasted lovely, especially the Singapore Chow Mein – highly recommended. Also, really appreciated the prawn crackers that came with the order. I’d definitely order again!

Awful Chinese, everything sits under the counter for god knows how long! Everything is so greasy see the picture for proof, nothing is freshly made at all 😥

Very poor, flavourless food. Sweet & sour sauce inedible & chicken ‘balls’ were odd finger shapes - possibly to reduce actual meat used. Vegetables uncooked. Don’t bother.

New Kitchen Chinese is a popular takeaway spot known for its delicious and generous portions of Chinese cuisine. Customers rave about the friendly service, quick delivery, and flavorful dishes. The menu offers a variety of options including sweet and sour chicken balls, duck rice, crispy shredded chilli chicken, smoked shredded chicken, sticky chilli beef, egg fried rice, and special curry. Patrons appreciate the quality of the food with just the right balance of flavors - from sweet to spicy.
Order food from here regularly, always tasty and very generous portions. Would highly recommend ordering from here.

DISGUSTED! AVOID! Ordered via Uber Eats, vegetarian dishes included veggie chicken, something I often order from other Chinese takeaways. Menu choices take you to a veggie page, then a choice of sauce and then a protein (prawn, chicken and duck all options, after all these three are often offered as veggie meat and this is (similar) process that we have used successfully with other restaurants). On arrival looked ok but to my absolute horror (veggie for 30+ years) I ended up eating real chicken. Called the restaurant who said it was our fault, even though we ordered off the veggie menu. No apology or consideration for the customer. There is clearly an issue with the offering process and hope they put this right in case others experience similar. Absolutely a horrified!

Worst chinese I've ever eaten.. burnt disgusting tasteless food.. mixed hors D'oeuvers?? Might as well call it mixed beach scrapings.. never order from here people..

We came across this takeaway by chance and ordered...so glad we did as we had the best sticky chilli beef we've ever had. I quite often find it to sickly or rock hard pieces of beef but this was tender with a nice crunch, sweet but a good kick of chilli so it wasn't sickly and the egg fried rice and crispy noodles were good too. We will be ordering from here again!

We have never ordered from New Kitchen and we thought we'd give it a try. We ordered: - House Special Curry - Regular Egg Fried Rice - Special Mixed Meat Udon Noodles The positives? - The food was delivered quickly - The food was mostly piping hot - The prices were fair The negatives? - The Special Mixed Meat Udon Noodles were barely hot, they mostly contained vegetables and very little prawns. There was one tiny prawn that was in it and I was disappointed - The House Special Curry was excruciatingly hot, unpalatable and vile. It wasn't nice and had an acrid taste of uncooked Curry powder in it I genuinely do not recommend this takeaway, and whilst I've only ordered once, we will not be ordering again. It was unfortunately a waste of money.

We ordered duck, chow mein and ribs in bbq sauce, ribs were really salty, chow mein was really greasy and the duck.. Well it tasted like it had been soaked in a bowl of water it was so soggy and I get duck can be fatty but it was really slimy!

The best Chinese around, always arrives quickly and hot, delivery lady is very lovely and friendly! The crispy shredded chilli chicken is so spicy which I love, the smoked shredded chicken is also a new favourite ! Can’t fault this Chinese fresh and full of flavour! My only wish is they would changed back the salt and pepper chips to the ones they used to do as the new ones just aren’t spicy enough for me personally.

I rang New Kitchen for an order, which they delivered and was nice. When the delivery man came (Varun), he asked for £52 when I had already added it up and it was £36. I explained this and the delivery driver understood. I gave him £4 tip. 2 hours later the delivery driver turned back up at my elderly Nan’s door asking for the remaining £12, saying they have put their prices up and the leaflet my Nan had was old. When I rang I was not quoted a price, and last time I checked whatever price is advertised is the price you pay! The only reason I paid the remaining £12 is because it was 9:45pm, I was about to go to bed and I didn’t want to cause my Nan the stress. Poor service, check your prices before buying!! As £52 is ridiculous for a Chinese, and shows they have put their prices up by £16 for just one order! Poor service, will not be returning.
