The collections at this art museum feature world class pieces by well known impressionist painters. They also have a chapel that hosts events from time to time. The amount of work at this museum is fairly small, so it shouldn’t take long to see it all (it took me about 30 minutes).

Nice small museum. In addition to Boudin, there are other artists, including 2 Monet. Don't miss the upper floor. There are some 20 century artists. Be aware that the museum opened 10 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm.

Not a place you can easily access. No parking. Interesting collection. Not overly commercialized. Elevator access between floors. Clean, well lit, well organized. Inexpensive. Mostly expressionist works.

Absolutely worth s visite! The Pearl of the beautiful town Honfleur is full of charmig art, which will shurely surprise You. I got suprised myself, when after a lot of beautiful paintings suddenly Claude Monet's "Etretat" showed upp!

Great place to spent an hour and get familiar with Eugene Boudin life and work

More of an experience than a museum, but definitely an interesting experience. Wear the receiver around your neck, plug in your earbuds, and stop moving whenever you hear music or words. Each room, sometimes multiple locations in the room, or even objects in the room will trigger a Satie commentary, an appropriate Satie musical clip, or both. It is by turns serious, whimsical, surreal, or macabre. I learned that Satie did waltzes, marches, and operas as well as the more familiar and contemplative pieces. Mostly, though, I was just entertained.

This museum is a very interesting and artistic mix between modern art, contemporary art, original historic pieces (like documents, letters and objects), music and only lastly: information. It is like walking through a scrapbook of the thoughts and works of the composer. Artists did a good job capturing the personality of the eccentric, maverick and influential artist Erik Satie in the museum's strange visuals, its off-beat presentation and historical facts and artifacts in a very unconventional way. The visitor is shown and told (partly using a clever audio guide system that activates when pointing at something) fragments of the lifetime of the composer while walking through a surreal set of chambers, each filled with all sorts of art, original pieces and of course: Satie's music. Some highlights are: a peculiar collection of umbrellas and unopened letters, a room with a host of original manuscripts and artifacts (presented on thin sticks in the middle of a room), a strange merry-go-round contraption that visitors need to physically activate themselves to "encircle the music") and a player piano that plays Satie's three Gnossienes in a minimalistic empty room. This having been a 'regular' museum would not have done the composer justice, and the artists who created this Maisons Satie museum did an excellent job. It would do the visitor a world of good though, to first look up some information on the life and works of Erik Satie to fully understand the atmosphere of this place, as 'explanation' does not seem to have been the main purpose.

Lovely kindof exposition, far more diverse than only musical. A real arty surprise!

Very different museum. The entrance door is very stiff and you need to push down very hard on the handle to get in , tbh we were at the point of giving up when someone opened the door from the inside. We booked a bus called Bee le harve which took us from Le Harve to Honfluer for 19 Euros return, an excellent service and so much cheaper than MSC cruise prices. Some of the automation was not working so we were offered a half price entry. Honfluer is the most beautiful town we have ever visited in France. Wonderful medieval building as is this museum. Many shops museums etc close for lunch 12-2 ish

Weird and wacky world od Erik Satie - well worth a visit if you like off the wall things.

Interactive exhibition design brings incredibly fun, yet not convincing in elaborating the theme, connection between music and emotions. Nevertheless, it's Satie, it's music, it's beautiful.

Maisons Satie was a great place. Enchanting, and a little absurd, we felt like we experienced the world of Satie in his own home in Hanfleur. My only remark would be that there is no introduction to Satie and his musical background, my friend did not know him and I had to explain the musical time, his ideas (musique d'ameublement) and who were his "successors" what were figured in the museum (le groupe des six). I don't think I learnt many things either which was a shame. All in all: a great experience, but not really a museum per say!

It's not 5 stars purely because of the price but it's r star rating is well deserved. This place is beautiful, unique and its natural conservation of the butterflies and bird species they keep clearly play a key roll in maintaining said species numbers. However, perhaps it was out of season or lack of funding or interest as to why the gift shop is priced as it is but I decided to buy a butterfly teddy in remembrance of my visit. At €15 euros in my opinion, this was steep. This may well be the going rate but I felt €8-€10 would have been a more suitable price for what I bought of which I have posted a picture. This was the only blight and what was a lovely educational few hours. The animals and stunning and it is well worth a visit, the admission it self was around €12 so not to bad. But if you want to take something away with be prepared to double that money or substantially add to it for even something quite small.

Loved it here. Great spot for children. Lots of birds and butterflies (and gift shop). Maybe a bit small, takes an hour or so to walk around if you take your time. My children loved it . About 10 euro per person

PRICE is way too expensive than the value and the experience. So till they don’t Modify the pricing, i won’t recommend. It was nice to see a few birds and butterflies but the place is so small.

A magical experience, being surrounded by exotic plants, birds, fish and butterflies flitting in the habitat created for them. Starting out, an explanatory audiovisual presentation in French or in English of 5 minutes is available. This attraction is suitable for children, easily accessible on foot from town and with ample parking for visitors with vehicles.

As a butterfly lover, I had to see it and was not disappointed. The enchanting creatures flutter by very close to you and you can admire them for as long as you like. The birds and plants are also quite wonderful. The sultriness inside is understandable, so better not dress too thickly.

This place is great ! The butterflies were beautiful and even though I visited during the end of the winter and there weren't a excessive amount of butterflies, I appreciate my visit. The exotic birds are amusing and it's a fun location to visit with children so they can discover the beauty of nature !

Pros: free parking, free wc, kind English speaking staff, hot greeny interior full of trees, bushes and flowers, can see "several" - I mean "not so many" butterflies, fish and "some" birds, small shop, it is possible to see the port and walk in nearby garden, Cons: extremely small, extremely expensive, it is not worthy to go there...

We cycled over it 4 times! Down to 2 lanes due to engineering work. Takes nerves of steel…. And use the footpath…. The cycle lane was terrifying…. Avoid it! Quite a cross wind, but amazing view and great experience!

Such a great time saver and a spectacular view. We made the mistake of walking over the bridge with the kids and we were covered in what looked like crude oil from the exhaust fumes, but nothing prepared us for the largest selection of human excrement we had to dodge on the pavement. Even this hadn't laid the ground for the poo museum under the supports. I assume this is based on a twenty year long collection. Who curates this? A true work of genius we won't be returning.

Stunning bridge, looks like a road to nowhere. It's a shame you can't stop on it to admire the view.

Absolutely wonderful park! 💖 Dogs are allowed too so it was such a treat for the pups. Well maintained and easy to navigate. I strongly recommend it! 💖

Beautiful garden with very relaxing atmosphere. The pond has magnificent colours and is totally in Claude Monet style. We enjoyed this garden a lot.

Such a great place to rest indeed! Far from the madding crowd of Honfleur, you will enjoy tranquility and visit many celebrities you may not have expected such as Baudelaire or Erik Satie, all connected to the place. Spring is the best to stroll in the garden, colourful and astonishing. Take your camera 📷 the light is amazing! You access the garden on foot, the most enjoyable route is to walk along the beach to the estuary. You'll see the ships go by... the seashore and the horizon melting into one... 😯

Escape the hustle and bustle of Honfleur and stroll in the garden for an hour or more. There are plenty of benches to sit on. We went by bike (less than 10 minutes from the old Port de Honfleur) and accessed the garden via the quay. But I think you can also access the garden via the parking which is less far for an entry. The beach (Plage du Butin) is easily accessible from the garden (along the quay). From the quay you can see the modern Pont de Normandie.

This place is a must visit when you are in Honfleur. Also right next to it there is a Eugène Boudin Museum, where you can look at this church painted by different artists in quite different styles. So I highly recommend to visit both !

Beautiful early wooden church built apparently by ship builders the ceiling looking like a boat. Some lovely stained glass windows. Donations or purchase a souvenir coin or light a candle. A must see if in Honfleur.

A wonderfully preserved wooden church made by shipwrights and dating back to the 1460. This is France’s biggest wooden church and a rare survivor. There is some lovely arches inside with chapels and plenty of room to look around. There is entrance fee but a donation can be made.

Amazing place. It is out of the ordinary and I would have expected to see such a church in the north. The inside was spiritual and looks corresponding to the outside. If you have time, don’t skip it!

Beautiful church and one quite unique from what I have visited before as constructed from wood. However I have never seen so many candles in a church, so hopefully fire precautions are good considering it is made from wood! Very much worth visiting and no charge for doing so but donations appreciated.

The oldest wooden church (15thc) , this beautiful and eye catching church with its separate Bell tower (now partly a toilet!) Is a must visit in Honfleur. Free entry and it looks even more beautiful in the evening lit up.

I loved the entire experience of visiting la lieutenance. From the entrance I felt welcome! The museum employee explained every step clearly and accompanied me to the first room where an interesting film is played. The following rooms all have very interesting info, interractive activities and lots more to explore. I like the personalised touch, the historic characters coming back to life, the interesting videos about fishing and other local activities. It's truly a little gem of a museum, and the warm welcome and professionalism made it all the more appealing. What's more, because I would have liked to spend more time on the terrace, but it was the closure time, I was told I could come again the next day with the same ticket. I did, and I was again warmly welcomed. I felt extremely grateful and so impressed with this generous, friendly, and professional approach. Chapeau as we say in French. Un grand merci!

A beautiful place to visit

Throughout the years we did dine here several times as we consider(ed) this one of the best restaurants in Honfleur. The food is still very good but in a restaurant it's not about the food alone. It seems the passion has somehow gone. The staff , not unfriendly, but does its routine and thats about it. Toilets are realy an embarresment for a restaurant at this level. Hope they get their act together again, the food deserves it.

Worth the hike up for the view over Honfleur and the Pont du Normandie. There are 2 ways up go via the North past the church and cross where it's less steep and come down towards the East where it's mega steep.

What a gem!!! We were there during the golden hour. The birds eye view over Honfluer & Normandie bridge definitely worth the stop. We were there during the golden hour to catch some pretty photos by the chaple and church.

Very nice lookout point for Pont du Normandie, and a beautiful lookout on honfleur. The walk up is quite steep. The chapel on the hill is also very charming. It's very quiet up there, there weren't too many people when we went up. Very relaxing

Great views of the bridge and Honfleur. Room for maybe 25 - 30 cars but it wasn’t busy when we were there (midday on a Sunday - though Honfleur itself was very busy). Couple of benches if you want to sit and enjoy the view.

Worth the walk up the hill - gives you a fantastic view of Honfleur, the Seine and the Pont de Normandie

Very nice sand beach on walking distance from the center of Honfleur. Good target for a lazy day at the beach. Approximately halfway the beach, public restrooms are available and a bar. Parking is free, but limited. I imagine it can be crowded during summer holidays.

A nice beach to go for a little walk that directly connects towards Jardin des personnalités. Unfortunately, i wish it were a bit more maintained and cleaned as I have seen plastic and even dead birds during my walk. More pleasant to go when the weather is agreeable and the tides are low!

A very beautiful garden discreetly tucked in the heart of Honfleur!!

The garden didn’t have a lot to see, but it was still pleasant to walk around and take in the atmosphere. Peaceful even if not particularly impressive. A relaxing little stop if you're nearby.

I was looking for this park as part of a Geocaching Adventure Lab. Finding the access was part of the adventure and then I was enthralled with the natural and man made features and sculptures. The water running through was magical. It looks like this has been here for centuries!

Small garden hidden in the heart of the village. Lots of different plants and trees. Is kind of charming but most of the buildings around it are in terrible conditions

If you’re in the area, it’s worth a walk through. There used to be an old mill here, some bits and pieces still remain.

I found this museum authentic and incredibly interesting. It gives you a very personal and up close feeling of how people lived. Totally worth the effort. The tiny prison behind was fascinating as well.

Very unfriendly woman at the reception. I came in with my two kids in a buggy on a rainy day but she seemed not to want to let us see the museum from the start. First she said no buggy's, so I replied ok can I leave it here? Than she said there are stairs, I said that's fine the kids can walk. She continued to note that they would close in half an hour, I told her I knew and we might come back when they re-open in the afternoon if we need more time. I asked what the price was for the tickets and she reluctantly told me but it turns out we could not pay by card and I didn't have enough cash. I tried to ask were the nearest cash withdrawal was but at this point she stopped taking to me altogether and just started talking to someone else, so I never got to see the museum.

Excellent little museum, full of interesting little things. Worth a visit if you are in Honfleur.

I visited La Mora for the first time this Easter and was thoroughly impressed. The site is not only rich in history but also incredibly informative. The interactive tour was produced to a very high standard. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional hospitality. I was travelling with my dog, and the staff kindly offered to look after her in the café while I explored the site. That level of care and consideration is something I’ve never experienced in a museum before. We actually arrived late for our slot and the staff put on an English version of the show for us specially. I’ll definitely be returning to see how the boat restoration progresses.

The interactive experience is superb. It really brings history to life. The shipyard with the replica being built is not as impressive but interesting non the less, plus it's great to see them using traditional skills and tools to build it.

Capable bilingual staff. Easy parking incl campercars. Passionate workers on ship. Fascinating project especially if you love woodworking or boats. It will be 5 years before it is finished. I am now following on Facebook.

The MORA in Honfleur was a fantastic experience—rich with information and beautifully presented. The immersive video kept my young daughter entertained while still offering depth for adults. The shipbuilding section was especially fascinating—a compelling way to engage with history. Highly recommend!

A very interesting exhibition. I especially enjoyed the visit to the boat yard to see the Mora being built using traditional techniques/technology. The photo doesn’t do it justice. The ship is very big. 34m!

Good spot to spend an hour to an hour and a half a bit away from the tourist masses. The shipyard is ok but eventually you go there for the immersive show. It's nice to watch but at the end you wonder what the storyline was. Was it about Vikings, about Guillaume le conquerer or about all the ships that left Honfleur also centuries later to discover the world...? Go and find out yourself.

Splendid little city garden with a georgious tiny water fall. Some kid playground, activities. Possibilities to read for free since there some books available in a shield if you promise to bring them back. Right next to the port and city center, you'll reach restaurants and pub within a 2minutes walk...

Nothing special to see than only 1 bridge. I've done a couple of boattrips in my life but this one is the worst. You can only say "ive been on a boat" nothing more. You pay for a toir of one and a half hour. Unfortunately after 1 hour the trip ended!!! I do not recommend it.

AWEFUL boat trip, complete waste of time and money. 1.5 hour in duration, it took 15 minutes to get out of the harbour, as there are a set of locks there. This was the most interesting bit of the whole trip. Then it was off down to see the bridge. It it just a very large cable stayed bridge. Only special because of its scale. THE WHOLE COMMENTARY WAS IN FRENCH, with not one bit in English. There were quite a few perplexed passengers who had no idea what was being explained. Minimum expectation, like on a city tour bus would be headphones with different language options. Once it had gone under the bridge, there was some sort of nature reserve. Nothing to see that we could tell. Then back under the bridge, and supposedly a look a Le Harve port, except they never went close, it was just away in the distance. Then they took a look at some beaches outside Honfleur and then back into harbour through the lock gate to end. Felt like they were killing time to get the full tour duration of the 1.5 hours Overall, one word WOEFUL. Also, friends sat at the back, lots of diesel exhaust fumes, but that could be the wind direction. Also, randomly, they were washing plates in a sink and putting them into some sort of milk carton boxes, bizarre behaviour.

Very nice trip. Not as picturesque as some other boat rides we've taken on holiday before, but a nice way to spend an hour and a half.

Very nice trip in the Seine from Honfleur harbour to see the enormous hanging bridge to Le Havre. Good explanation of the sea and the tide, stories on how the bridge was built. Mostly in French, but we got a private explanation in good English and in Spanish when we said the French was a bit too complex to understand for us. Great crew! On the way back we stopped to look at some sea lions lying on the sand, as the tide was out. A good two hour trip, well worth the ticketprice.

Fantastic trip, the crew were extremely friendly. They explained things that were said in the French audio tour given by the Captain to us in English (as well as giving us a guide book). It was very interesting to learn about how the ships worked, as well as seeing horses in the middle of the sea! Captain Jordan was remarkable and he made an already first-rate experience even better! I would give them more than 5 stars if it were possible :)

Boat trip as advertised, but no attempt to share information with any none French speaking passengers. Disappointing.

The boat tour is offered only in French. If you don’t speak French, don’t bother with the tour. If you are not able to know and understand. what you are seeing, it is a complete waste of time and money, because what you see isn’t that spectacular. It is mostly a tour of Le Pont de Normandy, which on a world scale, is not that grand. Sorry. The below may be your policy, but it is certainly not your practice. Maybe, you need to more closely monitor and manage your operations.

Very boring trip. Down the river to see the enormous bridge and back again. Almost nothing of any interest to see during the entire trip We only did it as the weather was poor but definitely not even worth doing then

Poorly organized. They waited until 50 people were lined up in what was apparently the wrong place ...... Then start telling the people at the back of the line first so that they ended up first in the new line. So I stood in the sun for 15 minutes for no good reason. And I'm not sure why we couldn't have just gotten on the boat, which was sitting there empty with nothing whatsoever going on. Also, be aware that it's cash only. That took my last 20€ and I'm not sure if I would've done it had I known before waiting to buy a ticket.

Very boring! Nothing to see but the Normandy Bridge (twice!!!) Do not waste your money!

Don't waste your money and time. The most boring boat trip I ever took. Besides we were asked whether we prefer explanations in English, we confirmed but the whole trip was given with only French explanations. If you don't speak French this is another reason to avoid this trip.

Worst one and half hours boat trip we have done. Just to see a bridge and go round it in circles before returning to Honfleur port! Advertised as refreshments on board but NONE! Very misleading and expensive too. We cannot rwcommendxthia trip.

Super guided tour along the estuary of this beautiful town and historic harbour - friendly, helpful crew. A must do for tourists!

Tourist attraction, good fun for kids, some holes are difficult to play. 7 Euros per person and akes about 1 hour. They also rent bikes (2 wheelers, 4 wheelers) and sell ice cream.

Cute mini golf with beautiful structures. The fact that there is no toilet available is a big minus though
