It’s a nice museum and a real Curitiba’s postcard, however the exhibition wasn’t good, I was expecting more for the most famous museum in town. I’m glad I didn’t pay. Usually on Wednesday the entry is free 10am-6pm

Amazing building. African and Asian exhibitions were well curated and very engaging. Loved that museum goers were invited to create their own art out of materials similar to those used in the exhibition. Museum store needs some work.

I expected more from the museum. The sculptures are ok, the space is very pretty and overall it's ok. The only thing I didn't like was the internal security team. Some of them are a bit rude when dealing with customers. Attention.

This famous museum is on every city tour. The architecture of the museum building is impressive, especially the adjacent building known as The Eye, which is quite stunning. There are wide open picnic spaces and grounds for walking and hanging out with friends. There are admission fees to enter the buildings to see the exhibits.

Clean, organized, well air-conditioned. Stunning view! Could be better: the „Free WiFi“ needs a registration which is only in Portuguese to get the English texts inside of the museum.

A beautiful botanical garden with a huge array of different flowers, trees and animals. Staff at entrance were very friendly and had a free map of the city in English. The sensation garden cannot be missed, the staff there are very knowledgeable and described the like cycle of the Candelabra tree (the critically endangered tree of the state of Parana) in perfect English. Butterfly paradise with extensive variety, with huge numbers and even a hummingbird for the eagle eyed. A large number of species of birds, lots of fish sunbathing in the lake alongside turtles. The species of flowers in the greenhouse were so varied I may have missed a few, with notable mentions being banana palm flower and pineapple flowers. Lot's of Golden orb spiders in the trees in the sensation garden, be sure to look up especially if you are tall! Lot's more to explore with water fountains and solar arrays. Toilet facilities are free and immaculate. The cafe at the end of the semicircular shaded flower section with the statues is a must visit. I had the best cheesecake with red berries I've ever had, along with Pão com queijo, affogato (ice cream with expresso shot), and to go: the chocolate & nut cake, and a chocolate & cherry torte. All of which were very good value for money and incredibly tasty, staff friendly, approachable and spoke English (and allowed some practice Portuguese). Entrance is free!

The Botanical Garden of Curitiba is absolutely stunning! From the iconic glass greenhouse to the vibrant flowers and peaceful walking trails, every corner feels magical. It’s a must-visit spot to relax, connect with nature, and capture amazing photos..

Very green area located in Karachi with a lot of kind of flowers different kind of trees. They have two lakes and they have museum for the botanic gardens. They have very nice restaurant agent. Café located inside the park.

My favorite park. I didn't know I liked capybaras until I saw so many here! They're very cute. Also relaxing swans, hawks, vultures, and other birds who aren't so scared of humans so they let you come real close to take photos (but not too close!). So calm

Very beautiful and calm park, plenty of benches to sit on, places to have a picnic. The river is very calm and relatively clean. The sunset in this park is beautiful. There are different species of animals in this park, it is worth the walk in this park.

Amazing Beautiful Park, lots of paved walkways for the elderly, designated bike and run paths, and workout equipment. Last but not least the real reason why anyone goes here, is to see Curitiba's mascot, the world famous Capivaras that tend to be everywhere around the lake and grassy areas. You have to pay $2 bucks for the bathroom, which is kind of crazy since it a city park, but thats what is, bathroom are far apart, so beware with your water intake.

Great park, with plenty green areas, and free fresh air. Remember to not touch the capibaras and give them space, is their habitat :)

If capebberas is what you seek this is the park. Spacious green, clean, well cared for and clearly attractive to many Curitibians. Delicious lunch at the park restaurant. If I visit Curitiba again I'm coming here.

Lovely clean market full of fresh produce, specialty food, and well stocked liquor stores. All the shop keepers were pleasant and helpful. There is a food court on the second level and coffee shops and bars around the periphery.

Lovely, well maintained market which is full of whatever you could wish to find. Variety of fresh vegetables and fruits, meats both fresh and dried, cheeses, fresh seafood, nuts, confectionary biscuits, dried fruits.

Amazing market where you can get just about any groceries that you need including some great fresh vegetables and fruit. There are cafes all around the area as well as other restaurants.

A very nice farmers market that sells many good items. They had a huge variety of vegetables and fruits. I found many of the exotic fruits I was wanting to try in Brazil at this market.

An absolute treasure of things to buy. We love the place so much. We can actually say this is one of the best public markets in the wide world, and I have been to a few. It's organised, rich, colourful and has lots of good food. We will come back one day. Glauco and Isabelle, United Kingdom.

Incredible theater! I'm always impressed with the size of it. The downside is they do not allow food inside and there are few restrooms, which are always busy. Of course it would benefit from a good refurbishment, but the structure is great!

The theater is beautiful and everything is very organized so that the audience can enjoy the presentations. There are parking lots in the surroundings, which is very convenient for those going by car.

Went for the 2023 dance opening. There was a too long presentation of a book about the theatre history. The play about mestizaje was made with a white men view, a happy story that wasn't at all on real life. Great place filled with history.

Everything very nice and cozy, nice to remember and promote the polish immigrants in Curitiba, however it’s not nice not allowing to take pictures inside of the houses, it doesn’t help to promote the place for people who’s never been there. They should review this policy ASAP.

I really enjoy being in this park. It's so peaceful and quiet. The ideal spot in Curitiba to chill, be in contact with nature and also absorb some culture. The Polish inspired houses look quite cute and contain some historical objects, it's interesting to get to know more about one of these cultures that influence the state of Paraná. In this park you'll be able to see many Araucária trees (the typical tree from the state). Very well maintained, it has bathrooms, a church, a tiny museum, nice walking places, a gift store and a playground for children. Pet friendly.

Beautiful park with so much green. For those who are catholic or not is a good spot to know, it has some houses with Polish architecture. Has some little trails that lead to Niemeyer eye art.

Right next to Museu Oscar Niemeyer, the park is relatively small and worth a visit if you are into learning a bit about the Polish culture and their settlement in Paraná.

What a lovely trip we had. The views were amazing and the train can offer you different styles of deco that enhances your experience. The air con was a bit too high so we advise you to take a light cover for the ladies, even in the summer. We recommend the trip for anyone who want to see the Atlantic primal forest and dramatic scenery whilst sipping a lovely glass of "champagne". We bought our tickets online in London, a challenge, but doable. :0)

The train ride is very scenic and enjoyable but, obviously perhaps, scenes flash by and what’s worth seeing goes past very quickly. Unless you want to leap across the aisle, you definitely need to be on the left hand side Once on board we were given a lovely welcome drink and 30 minutes later a horrible sandwich I have rated this trip low for several reasons 1. The website is difficult to use and understand, especially if you’re over 59 2. The copacabana and foz wagons are lovely, but the Curitiba one, which is classed as luxury and the same price as the other 2, is not. The left hand seats are seriously uncomfortable and the decor … well there isn’t any 3. The guide, whilst helpful and pleasant talked non stop for about 70% of the journey 4. When buying tickets you are allocated seats but this does not mean anything since seat numbers are determined by the number which corresponds to the number on a leaflet (map) so they’re moveable !!!! This means you actually can’t tell if you’ll be sitting on the left or right side !!!! Altogether, it’s unprofessional, unpredictable and unreliable 5. Finally, the bus back to Curitiba costs about £4 so it’s really not worth buying a tour package other than it makes buying a ticket easier I assume

Definitely worth it, if you can secure a seat on the left hand side the views are better. We went in the luxury carriage and it was amazing. Open bar, excellent service and the staff spoke both Portuguese and English. I would say that the breakfast could be better. And if you’re particularly hungry, I would also recommend bringing along some extra snacks for the ride. They don’t serve food apart from a very light breakfast. Included in the price of a luxury ticket is the open bar. Which is soft drinks, juice, water, coffee, tea and beer. An incredible journey, with unforgettable views of the forest and mountains. I highly recommend not missing out on this experience.

Great experience during the train ride; we were served breakfast and beverages non-stop during the 4 hours drive. The package included lunch and it was incredible. Staff assisted us during the whole trip and they were the best.

Sadly, it was very rainy, cold and foggy!! I paid for the luxury wagon around R480 and it was not worth it at all. Lunch was included, but it was just a tiny sandwich and some peanuts. I know it’s not the company‘s fault that the weather is bad, but it would be great if they could give us some money back when this type of thing happens as we were not able to see anything at all.

Nice ride BUT why is the TOURIST Class only in portuguese language?! That makes no sense, at least an audio guide would be helpful otherwise it’s just a nearly regular train ride and you understand nothing…

I went there expecting to see good views and buildings which in the end I even did so, however I've learned so much about Ukranian Genocide with the informations avaliable indoors of the attraction, and it was something shocking and remarkable for me!

I was impressed that there was no entrance fee and there was so much to see. The different species of birds were a treat. Fountains, ponds and multiple places to sit and enjoy. There were many police around and you felt safe even though many homeless people laying around. Curitiba overall has a problem with homeless. I recommend checking out this park

Best maintained park I've ever seen! Nice trees, flowers and grass areas, water ponds and fountains. Animal cages look standard size, but more clean than any zoo. Lovely park, just missing a nice café.

Amazing park with a wide variety of birds (caged) inside. This is the first time I’ve seen a toucan, also the first time to see those huge and magnificent parrots. I’d advocate for a bigger living space for them though… It is pretty sad to see birds that should fly all locked up…

On Saturdays, from 6:00 til mid-day, there is the organic farmers market. I really enjoy buying pesticide-free food here. Prices are excellent and the taste of whatever you get, is amazing!

Well-kept park in the downtown area of Curitiba, with a small lake and walking trails. Definitely worth a visit on a sunny day. There's also some wild birds which are kept in far too small cages imo

A great place to visit in Curitiba! Recently renovated. It used to be a zoo, but it still have birds and some other animals. It's a good place to go with children.

Free entrance. The animals are beautiful and well-treated. The location feels safe and near nature. Downside is the place is being renovated, some sectors are currently closed or inaccessible. Be ready for a hike, take a few bottles of water

This place is for free. The parking too. Has a lot of animals and is not just good to see the animals, but also to take a walk. Some animals are free and some are in cages. Although almost all the animals are rescue animals. Which means they are there because they have been abused or were in a circus. Love this idea.

It was a great family trip. The zoo has a decent number of animals, and flora all for free. Signs could be improved though. We almost missed the lion and brown bear. Also, there was a guy informally "looking after" the cars on the parking lot in exchange for a few bucks. You may feel compelled to pay for his "service". Not mandatory though.

Very nice learning experience. Besides of the amazing animals there is a place to learn about their projects and initiaves they have to preserve wildlife. The only thing very annoying is children yelling at animals or making loud noises. Not only children sometimes. A must see place while you are in Curitiba if you love animals! Note: On Mondays is closed.

The variety of exhibits was engaging. Every thing from antiquities to current multicultural context setting. Loved that the museum invited museum visitors to create and archive their own pieces. Not so large that it was fatiguing. Appreciated the English narrative and the museum might want to seek editing help from a native speaker.

For those who loves history this place is a must! I really love to know the history behind the places who I visit, and get to know about Curitiba and whole Paraná state was amazing!!! I deeply recommend this place!

I found this museum to be unfocused. In the original building, the first displays upstairs are about indigenous people in Mato Grosso. There is also some natural history. The new building has a mix of videos, historical items, modern art, and more indigenous items from Mato Grosso. I was expecting to learn more about Parana here but I really didn't.

This museum was bigger than I expected. Learnt so much history about my country, so much beautiful native things and so much more. Will definitely visit again.

Excellent exhibitions, including a large collection focusing on the indigenous peoples of Brazil (all items with English descriptions ❤️). There’s also a very interesting overview of the rich intercultural, multiethnic makeup of the state (as of Jan 2020, only in Portuguese - but hey, the camera function of Google translate works wonderfully!).

Must see museum if you are a foreigner traveling to this city. Entering is gratis, it consists of a historical home attached to a modern building with a diverse array of exhibits, including natural history, historical records of the state of Paraná, as well as various bills and coins from around the world. If your Portuguese is not strong you need to have your smartphone handy to read the exhibits.

It's not worth visiting this tourist site. Many shops were closed even though my group visited at 1 pm in the afternoon. A cafe, bakery, and souvenir shop was open. Everything else was closed. Do not understand why it is called 24-hour street. Very pretty small walking street, but that is it.

Took a tourist bus here, 3 hour rout though POI with jump off/in at any stop. 50 real ticket valid for 24 hours. Goes every 30 minutes on weekend only.

Small park with a Japanese theme. Very clean, calm atmosphere and nice place to sit and relax or read a book. Nice green space in the middle of Curitiba city. There are other larger parks a few kilometres away that has more to offer.

One of the best features of this park is its variety of habitats—from wooded areas to open meadows and small ponds. It’s a great place for birdwatching, and I often spot different species depending on the season. Nature lovers will really enjoy exploring here.

Very traditional Curitiba place Lot of history and meanings. Old architectures and you will get to know how Curitiba city evolved.

There's a coffee very cozy , the menu relatively offers a range of options that can pleasure the customers. About accessibility there are many points with potencial to change and enhancing, but can attend very basic demands from this specific question. My experience was great.

Very beautiful building. My 3 star rate it's about cafe. Tiramisu is a different cake. Not just cream with separated cookies inside. Google the recipe. It's not this hard 🙇‍♀️

Great little museum in Curitiba to grab some culture

Small museum but absolutely worth the visit. The feather arts are exquisite.

I visited the museum a few months ago. The exhibits were great (although u couldn't interact with), and generally the experience was ok, until the personnel offered me some indigenous honey or something to try, and I asked them for a spoon (how reasonable)... they started making fan of me in portuguese (as they thought I couldn't understand), saying things like "oh this European pretends to be a king and blah blah blah". CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE!!! If I ask for a spoon, you must find a spoon. However, it worth a visit for sure (just bring your own spoon), and if you choose a guide, make sure to choose Leonardo. He has been the best tour guide (full knowledge, perfect English), in the whole country!!

Make sure to visit when in Curtiba. You will learn alot in these small & beautiful galleries. They also have an excellent but small selection of items to purchase afterward.

Great place to hangout on a hot summer day, water didn't seem to be dirty at the adult pools, but the kids area was not so clean. The day I went wasn't necessarily crowded, I've heard it can get pretty packed. I give it 3 stars just because of the food options, it's very limited to very unhealthy options. If you're vegan like me, all you can eat there are the fries (be sure you ask without cheese or else they'll put cheese even though it's not in the menu). Parking was not an issue, but it wasn't free.
