City park
Hiking area
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is a 200-acre park in West Plano, offering a variety of outdoor activities. The preserve features 3 miles of paved hiking trails, a playground, picnic pavilion, and public restrooms. For those seeking solitude, there are also 3 miles of unpaved trails that wind through the property's hidden pathways. Cycling enthusiasts can explore off-road cycling trails in the southern part of the preserve.
I visited Arbor Hills today. I used to frequent this area just to spend time in nature and enjoy my walk. I haven’t been to this area in a while until today because I moved out of the area. But today was a special day because I decided to come back and visit this beautiful nature preserve. Indeed, Arbor Hills is a nature preserve. As you’re walking this season, you will notice the beautiful grassy plains swaying in the wind. There are an abundant of trails that you can take to explore different areas of the preserve. It is a great place to casually ride your bike and is also a popular destination for photography. The nature preserve also has a well equipped playground for children to play and bathrooms for men and women and a family bathroom. There is also a picnic area that you can reserve to have gatherings. Arbor Hills is a great place to walk your dog as they provide poop bags along the main path. After finishing your walks and explorations, treat yourself to some ice cream from the ice cream truck that usually is parked near the restrooms in the afternoons, ready to happily serve customers.
Adam D — Google review
This park is on a smaller scale, but diverse. There are three types of habitats, with various fauna and flora. The paths are well maintained, easily accessible by strollers, or wheelchairs. There are bike trails. We walked the cca 2-mile loop in about 40 minutes, but there are more paths for longer walks. There are occasional elevation changes. The restrooms are not the best looking, but had soap, water and toilet paper. The best feature is the ice cream truck positioned at the parking lot. The parking lot is quite large, for about 100 vehicles.

I visited Arbor Hills 2 days ago. I discovered this area for walking and spending some good times in the evening. This place is good for enjoying sunset, walking, walking dogs, jogging, and cycling, and it is kids friendly. It is preserved by nature. You will pass by exotic species of vegetation, bridge, creek, playground, etc! They also have an observation tower where it is located in high elevation, and you can see beautiful sunset and view from there!! There is an abundance of trail, where you'll discover beautiful nature. All the trails will meet at one end, finally! It is a great destination for cycling, chilling out, and even photography!! They have a kids friendly playground, and they have safe and clean washrooms. You can also reserve/book a picnic spot to have a union or gatherings. This place is pet friendly as well. After finishing the long walk, sighting a best view, you can also treat yourself to some refreshing ice cream 🍨 usually parked near the main parking area or near restrooms, mostly in the afternoons. (P.s. I have spammed the photos for you guys, enjoyyyy 😁😁)
Ishika W — Google review
Beautiful hiking/running spot. My favorite place for a pre-sunset stroll in nature. Takes about 30 minutes for the full main loop that includes the viewpoint.
Luqman D — Google review
Beautiful and serene. The concrete paths are nice but the unpaved trails are even better. Early am or late evening provides amazing photo opportunities
Terry J — Google review
Great walking area. Good for leashed dogs. Concrete walkways and trails if you want a more nature experience. There is shade on much of the walk. Large loop is approximately 2 miles.
Dann A — Google review
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is an excellent spot for a leisurely walk or a jog as it has three miles of paved trails. Also, another three miles unpaved natural surface trails offer a more rugged experience,

Beautiful. Easy parking. Always feels family friendly and pup friendly. Love doing photo shoots here and my clients are always happy with the location choice.

Heritage museum
The Heritage Farmstead Museum in Plano, Texas, is a preserved Victorian farmhouse that offers an immersive experience of early 20th-century farm life on the Blackland Prairie. The museum showcases the daily activities and farming practices of the Farrell family, who were early settlers in the area. Visitors can explore the farmhouse, old outhouses, and a single-room schoolhouse while learning about sheep and wheat farming from costumed docents.
They have great holiday events that the family loves. And they do NOT price gouge like other places. All the prices there are very fair and reasonable, kudos to the management and owner for this. Truly shows they care about everyone enjoying the event, drinks, snacks and toys sold there. And when it’s not a holiday, they have animals walking around you can visit and take pic with. A great place to visit.
D K — Google review
Great spot for the preschool ahead kids to see some animals and explore farm life. They had a story time, a tractor ride, a play area with small ride on toys and play food, etc.,a cow milking simulator and more. The tour through the original farm house was great for adults, it was cool to see some Plano history. The parking lot is very small and there's some construction going on right around it, so if it's a busy time, be sure to look ahead for another parking option close by, they have info on their website.
Kristi M — Google review
I took a group of adults with special needs. It was a rainy day so the farm was all ours. The volunteers were so accommodating and friendly. They helped us find a place to eat our picnic lunch under cover and even brought us 3 umbrellas to use! Good people and a good experience.
Sherri R — Google review
Lights on the Farm held at Heritage Farmstead Plano was absolutely the best experience for the price. We attended on Frozen theme night so on top of all the amazing light displays and photo opportunities there were all the Frozen Disney characters doing meet and greets, sing alongs and taking photos with the kiddos. Santa was on hand for a personal one on one and pictures were offered. In the middle of the farm you can gather around fire pits and make snores with your group, so much fun!! This is a walk through lighted Christmas experience you don’t want to kiss next year!!
Kim H — Google review
I had an amazing time at the Heritage Farmstead Museum's Light on the Farm event! The Christmas atmosphere was truly enchanting, making it perfect for families and children. My child was wide-eyed with wonder at every corner of the event. It was a fantastic Christmas experience 😊
Hana T — Google review
Located in Plano, the Heritage Farmstead is a treasure in the heart of the Texas Blackland Prairie. The museum is open Thursday through Saturday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. To understand all that the Farmstead has to offer, I suggest visiting the website. I have visited the Farmstead many times over the years but not to visit the museum. I have visited to attend events. According to the website, the 4.5 acre site is the perfect setting for parties, civic events, and corporate events. I highly recommend renting the Pole Barn. Check out the tumbleweed chandelier hanging from the rafters. I have visited during the holidays for Lights on the Farm and highly recommend it. The lights get better every year. Santa is usually there, along with hot cocoa and s’mores. Adults and children will equally enjoy a visit to the Farmstead, whether for an event or to visit the museum. There are lots of farm animals, wagon rides, and a lovely gift shop. In November 2024, the Heritage Farmstead Museum received the Community Partner of the Year award from the Plano Chamber of Commerce in recognition of 50 years of service and preserving the history of Plano. Highly recommend a visit!
Christine K — Google review
Such a great activity. I love historical places that show how life was before the modern age took over. There are several buildings that are original to the property, some that were relocated here, and others that are replicas. There are some farm animals: chickens, goats, sheep, pigs, and a donkey. You can buy feed for the chickens, but this is not a petting zoo so they have signs posted warning against petting or feeding them. The entry fee to explore the grounds was $5, and the guided tour of the house was an additional $5. I encourage everyone to go see this and support the local history.
Jessica H — Google review
I had heard about Heritage Farmstead Museum but never had a chance to visit until this year. They have this holiday lights event at night and we decided to come with the immediate family. We had a party of 12 and we really enjoyed our time there. The parking was easy, the Museum had staff outside directing traffic. Inside, there were plenty of fun photo sets for both kids and grownups. They were selling mini donuts, hot chocolate and even s'more sets that you could cook over these small sections with little fire pits. Everyone had a blast. We will need to come back to see what the place looks like in the morning one of these days.

The Interurban Railway Museum, situated in the original Plano Station building, offers a glimpse into the forgotten era of the Texas Electric Railway. The museum's collection includes artifacts and photographs chronicling the history of this electric railway system that operated like a streetcar from the 1920s until its decline in 1948. Visitors can also enjoy interactive displays demonstrating electricity principles and a miniature electric-train display showcasing rural Plano.
Brilliant museum, free but worth to pay a visit. Small but full of knowledge and experimentation. The front desk is nice and warm welcoming. My son really like here😃
SIYU G — Google review
Our museum visit today was nothing short of amazing! The moment we walked in, we were greeted by our guide, an incredibly knowledgeable and warm-hearted Iranian lady named Farangis. Her passion for history truly brought the history of rail road in Texas to life! She filled us in on fascinating details, answering every question we had with enthusiasm and depth. Her kindness and engaging storytelling made the entire experience unforgettable. We left feeling inspired and with a newfound appreciation for this important chapter of Texas history. Highly recommend this tour!

My youngest son loves trains and he saw this on the map when we were looking for places to visit in Plano. The excitement on his face when we walked was amazing. Also its free and you can leave a donation if you want to purchase books and item. A most definitely visit...
Patrick — Google review
Finally went inside after a few attempts where it was closed. Nice museum for a local visit. We toured the train car too! Suggested donation is 1$ per kiddo and 2$ per adult.
Eric L — Google review
Story time is a really fun experience for the children, the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. He is passionate about history. This is a place you must visit if you live nearby. There’s nothing else like this. It’s very unique.

Great museum! It's ducational, free and worth the suggestion donation. My kiddos loved it. A guy there gave us an awesome tour.
Russell B — Google review
We had such a great time visiting here. This building is historic to Plano and was built in 1908! The people working here were so fun and knowledgeable about the site and everything to do with trains. Even though the building is small, it felt like a full on museum experience with all the information and interactive stations they offered. We learned so much! Seeing the items that were used back in the early 1900's really made me feel in awe of how hard working people were back then and didn't even know it! We have come such a long way, technology wise, in the last hundred years it's almost unbelievable. Thank you for offering this to everyone!
F G — Google review
Quick place to visit and spend time for about an hour. Informative and interesting for kids and adult as well. You will also see an old railway car and see the inside of it. There are cool electric projects on display too. Better to have few $ for donations. Place is kept clean and organized. Parking can be done in the DART parking lot or across the street.

Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve is a sprawling 800-acre natural oasis located in Plano. It offers nearly 13 miles of trails, including 3.5 miles of concrete trails and five miles of soft surface trails that wind through creeks, prairies, and wetlands. The park also features an amphitheater, pavilion, and a small lake with a fishing dock.
This is easily one of the best trails in North Dallas. The unpaved trail is about 8 miles long, not too difficult, with gentle elevation changes to keep it interesting. There are plenty of different paths to take, including shortcuts and alternate routes, so you can adjust your hike based on how much time or energy you have. The trail does get narrow in places, and some of the greenery spills onto the path, so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on your dog to avoid any scratches. You’ll also run into plenty of birds and bugs, so come prepared. IMPORTANT: there’s quite a bit of poison ivy along some of the trail. Be cautious, especially if you have kids or pets with you. There are some nice spots to climb down to Rowlett Creek, and a few areas you could rope swing if you’re in the mood for it. The trail is rarely crowded and has a good amount of shade, which makes it great for hotter days. The paved side of the trail wraps around a beautiful lake that’s perfect for fishing. In some areas, you can also ride horses, which is a unique bonus for this part of town. Overall, it’s a peaceful, scenic spot that has a little something for everyone.
Simran M — Google review
We really enjoyed our visit to Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve! It’s such a beautiful and peaceful place to get away from the city for a while. The scenery is gorgeous, and we loved exploring the dirt trails that wind through nature. Perfect spot for a relaxing walk, fresh air, and enjoying the outdoors. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Samuel-Varvara H — Google review
The length of this trail is great and the scenery is beautiful. Ran a 5K through here with AMPT & I’ve just come with friends to enjoy running and walking the trail, even on the hottest days - it’s just that peaceful and beautiful. It’s a larger trail that goes pretty far out with just a lot of nature (the best), but I would suggest doing it with a buddy. Sometimes doing the whole trail alone as a lady doesn’t feel that safe. This is my favorite trail in Dallas though.
Bethany P — Google review
Had an amazing experience at Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve! 🌳🌞 The walking trails, peaceful creek, and natural beauty all around made it the perfect escape into nature. Clean, well-maintained, and so refreshing — a great place to walk, relax, or just breathe in the fresh air. Highly recommend for nature lovers! 🌿💚
Naina — Google review
Looks like a great place to enjoy nature and the great outdoors. I was there this time to only visit the venue space for a future wedding. I do want to return to enjoy the paths and nature trails.
Todd M — Google review
With broad paths and a literal oasis in the midst of our city, the lake is just the right size to circumnavigate in under 20 minutes. And the adjacent boardwalk is a delightful refuge from summer heat, as it meanders through the trees. People there are friendly and carry the dignity often attending those with good health habits. See my photo for concrete design flaw (after a good rain).
Buck U — Google review
A spacious park in the Plano area, home to diverse wildlife and a variety of plant species. When we visited, it was quiet and uncrowded, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful morning or evening walk. The park offers a great mix of activities — from scenic trails and lakes to opportunities for walking, biking, kayaking, and simply enjoying nature.
Arul V — Google review
I love to walk around the lake, sometimes I also do walk through the woods, plenty of trails and the signs were in perfect place. Saw few people kayak but no boaters. Lots of fishing spots. Sunset was amazing.

Great music venue for new artists. Clean beautiful and safe downtown. Has a nice community park. Their October community dinner for 200 is always a cool party to be a part of. Lots of food options and a farmer’s market is great. Don’t forget to stop by Green Vine Market - really good grocery store. 🌿🫑🥑🥭

We walked around downtown. Loved the feel. Walked around the exterior of the interurban museum , we did not go in due to timing. Outside displays were interesting, I learned a lot. Downtown has a great vibe. Again, everyone is so friendly. My grandson has a Sumner job in Plano, he says everyone is so nice and proud to be from Plano and Texas. I think that comment goes a long way. Have fun.
Manes L — Google review
Pretty downtown with good eateries. We enjoyed the rooftop of urban pizza and matcha at fourteen eighteen. It doesn’t have as many shops as I would’ve liked though. All in all a cute spot to walk around.
Kailee B — Google review
Cute little historic downtown. The boutiques and eateries were stuffed with great retail items and wonderful menu options. Spend a few hours enjoying history with the owners of Main street shops and restaurants. Purchased a handbag, earrings, summer shawl and a wonderful recipe book for newlyweds at Lyla’s and enjoyed coffee and pastries from the local bakery.
Pam M — Google review
One of my favorites areas that I’ve found in the Dallas area since moving here two years ago. Good restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and other shops, with more than one public parking lot so plenty of space to park within a max of a block or two to walk if street parking for a particular place full. My favorites are: 32 Degrees (rooftop bar above urban crust pizza), 1418 Coffeehouse & Better than Sex (dessert shop). There’s also a plaza area and frequent events there. The whole area is cute and feels well kept and safe to walk around. My favorite time to go is during holiday season when everything is decorated and lit up😊
Hannah ( — Google review
This is an awesome place for dates or to hang out with friends. Easily accessible by train and lots of locally owned businesses to support. Or if you are looking for a free date, the park is beautiful. There are also events and community theater performances on occasion, so check the downtown plano website for the calendar.
Charlotte B — Google review
Beautiful place to walk around with fun events year round, with plenty of easily accessible parking. The square is also wheelchair accessible. We visited this weekend to see the Dickens Christmas event! Carolers, Christmas-themed ballet and hip hop performances, and theater performances. Everyone was friendly and the shop owners in the district are always happy to chat and give recommendations. Definitely stop by for a few hours if you’re in town!

Located at The Shops at Willow Bend in Plano, Texas, the Crayola Experience is a vibrant and interactive family destination spanning over 60,000 square feet. Families typically spend several hours exploring this colorful and immersive experience.
Well worth the trip! We drove 4.5 hours just for this and it was beyond worth it! We spent 2.5 hours here the first day and upgraded to annual passes so we could come back a second time. Our kids have thoroughly enjoyed every second of time here!!
Vanessa B — Google review
Thought all of the activities would be open over the weekend but they weren't. Giving three stars because it was still fun but I wouldn't have come if I knew activities weren't going to be available. That said the crayon labeling and making the dinosaurs out of clay was cool. They had a small play area that most of the kids gravitated to. The scribble pets were out when we got there. The cashier offered a small drink or popcorn for our vouchers instead. Overall kiddo had fun but the price for what was actually available to do wasnt worth it for us.
Christie W — Google review
This was our second time here visiting from Houston. Trust me you will want to become a kid here all over again. There are many fun and engaging activities for the kids and who doesnt love colors! Its definitely expensive but definitely worth the visit. They also give you crayola bags with some tokens and a card. You can make personalized crayons, color, paint, clay, meet crayola characters, silly selfies, moulds and more! Plus a decent size play area for the kids. There is also a cafe on site. Restrooms were clean and many stalls. We exited through the gift store and it was a kid’s heaven. We bought a tin box for $25 and you can fill it with unlimited crayons and markers which is so cool! There are such cute items there which can be hard to resist to not buy! If you visit Dallas, definitely check out this place. We visited on the Memorial day weekend in the morning. The place started to get busy in the afternoon. We advance purchased our tickets but there was no line to purchase tix.

We came here on a Saturday (5/10), my son had a great time coming with his school last year...So we decided to come back. Unfortunately, this wasn't a good experience at all. Lets begin with the stations and exhibits - most of the stations were malfunctioning and numerous exhibits were closed. This is disappointing, considering this a Saturday - for high volume traffic... The workers that were there, wasn't the most friendly either - seems as they were HS students at their part-time job (speculation...). Overall, Customer service wasn't there at all... I hope this business can get it together...I can see the potential, and I know if all the exhibit were open - this place could be great!

Used to love this place. Came here yesterday for my daughter’s birthday. Couldn’t believe one adult ticket had gone up to $32. Was even worse when we got in and dang near every machine was broken “under maintenance” was pretty disappointed. Used to love this place but we won’t be back. Also the adult tickets should come with a kids ticket. Probably why it was so dead in there. Place used to be packed. I almost asked for a refund.
Haley H — Google review
Pretty cool place for kids. My daughter who is more artsy and younger enjoyed it more than my preteen son, so I would recommend it for younger more coloring fans. I also recommend buying tickets online or a Groupon. It is expensive- for 3 people it was about $80 dollars entry. The entry comes with 2 coins which you can use to make your own crayon label and get magic clay but once you use the 2 you can purchase more for a fee. You also have get a coupon for a free scrubie- we got pterodactyl as it was the one they were giving. Kids could also make they own shaped crayon and lots of crayon crafts. The is also a crayon themed play place up to age 12. The place over all is colorful and clean- they have employees actively cleaning up coloring stations and tables. We spent hours there so that was worth it. Just note that it is in a dead mall. It’s actually really eerie. There is no food court or outside restrooms close by. So eat before or after you go unless you can do with a pretzel from a stand. I give it four starts just because it is a bit overpriced. $7 for a icee, money for more coins for experiences, and also if you want to use the mining activity you have to pay money for a bag of dirt- $9 min which adds up with multiple kids. overall it’s a fun outing especially if you’re close by.
Kristy L — Google review
This place is so cute! We loved all of the different stations available for our kiddos to explore, create, and be imaginative! Everything was very clean, and well maintained. The staff were so nice, helpful, and patient with the kiddos. It was a little disappointing that the cafe was closed, but they at least had the snack station open. We really enjoyed that they had playgrounds for the toddlers, and the bigger kids.

Loved it..think this grown up had more fun than the 8 yr old. Only con is a couple of the experiences would have gone better if they had more people working and you didnt stand so long in line.

Nestled in Plano, Texas, The Texas Pool has been a beloved escape from the heat since 1961. This iconic 168,000-gallon saltwater pool is renowned for its unique shape resembling the state of Texas. It holds a significant place in history as it's listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
We came from out of state to visit friends. We had a great time. Friendly staff, clean facilities and wonderful community atmosphere. Very family friendly and safe environment. The pool wasn’t as quite as big as we thought it would be but still nice. We would come back if in the area again.

This was a charming cute pool (smaller than expected) but still nice and great that it was saltwater. However, me and my young children will not be returning as when we went there recently there were two teenage boys throwing a football back and forth across the length of the pool for almost the entire two hours we were there. Their "game" took up almost half the usable swimming pool space. We tried hard to get away from them, but they often missed so this water football or whatever they were using would splash super hard and nearly hit my child and me multiple times even when we were several feet away. Lifeguards/management did nothing to stop it so assuming they are very ok with it. Most public pools have rules against throwing balls or other objects because of the safety hazards involved (aside from water volley but that's usually in a specific area of the pool) I definitely think this pool could benefit from some stricter rules about this type of thing and not act like it's some random backyard pool where anything goes.

Kind of disappointing when you show up and see how small it is. It’s cute and very family friendly. Music is good. Good amount of shade. Con’s is yearly price. Fountains don’t work. Should have more umbrellas.

One of the few Texas shaped swimming pools in the world. This historic (50 year old) pool is listed on the National Registry of Historic places and is a gem. Great place to take a day trip and chill by the pool. Lifeguards on duty. They also rent it out for parties. Birthday parties are a huge success here. You can also catch “Elizabeth Swims” the YouTube star swimming here sometimes.

My family and I have been coming here for many years. It's where both my boys learned how to swim. We are grateful for the staff and the lifeguards for always ensuring that our kids are safe, and being respectful to others. This is truly a gem in the neighborhood, and has always been the highlight of our summers together as a family. We want to give a shoutout to the lifeguards, and applaud them for always being so good with the kids and setting a great example for them. Lincoln has been a true light at the pool this summer, and is a great role model for the younger generation. Keep up the great work!

I love fun! Not too busy. Great events and really friendly staff. Cheap prices on snacks. Food and non alcoholic beverages allowed. BBQ. Perfect spot for weekends. Nice music, clean environment.

Shaped like Our Great State, the Texas Pool has helped shaped the lives of children for decades now. It is a safe summer haven for Plano children, offering swim lessons, an afternoon of good clean fun and jobs for area teens. While we had a backyard pool when the kids were Littles, I am looking forward to taking my grandchildren to this historical landmark

Southfork Ranch, located just a 40-minute drive from downtown Dallas in the suburb of Parker, Texas, is a must-see for fans of the iconic TV show 'Dallas.' This picturesque ranch served as the backdrop for the Ewing family's escapades and now offers guided tours of the mansion where visitors can explore J.R.'s bedroom and see memorabilia from the show. The ranch also functions as a working ranch, offering activities like horseback riding lessons and guided trail rides.
My brother was in town for a visit. Went for the tour. What a great experience. Everyone we encountered went beyond expectations to accommodate us! The sweet girl in the gift shop offered us a wheelchair upon noticing that the walk might be too difficult for my brother. Danny the gentleman who drove the golf cart was incredible! He already dropped off for the tour but insisted on making another trip for us and the wheelchair! He was so friendly and came to pick us up too! Thank you all for making this so enjoyable!

Our first visit was pretty cool. But on my second trip with my guest on August 14, things took a turn. When we arrived, they informed us that our tour had been canceled. Then, another staff member intervened, and they said we could go ahead after all. I inquired about the golf cart, and she claimed it had just left, which was clearly untrue since we were the only two there. We ended up walking under the scorching 98°F heat to the house. The lady who guided us was friendly and charming, but after that, we found ourselves outside, navigating the area on foot. We had no information, no guide—nothing. We missed out on key exhibits like the oil display. By the time we returned to the visitor center, they informed us they were closing in 10 minutes. I apologized for being late, explaining that we had walked everywhere in the blazing sun and were exhausted. She simply replied, “No problem.” As we left, the next group zoomed by us in golf carts, which made it clear she didn’t really care—especially since we were foreigners. There were no apologies or any acknowledgment of our situation. I left feeling very disappointed. Most of the areas were either being prepped for a reception, under construction, or getting ready for hotel guests. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t be bringing anyone back.

This is a really interesting place to review… On one hand the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, the land is well kept. Nature and animals on the property are beautiful. On the other hand, I felt that I was touring my grandmas house listening to stories that don’t make any sense. In fairness to them, I’ve never seen the show Dallas. Also, price is a bit high for the tour especially if you get a 4pm ticket and are unable to walk the property.

If you enjoyed the iconic 1980s television show, or the 2000s version, then you would enjoy visiting here. Reasonably priced, offers a museum with some nice pieces of memorabilia. The tour was fun and we enjoyed the history of the place. The house was filmed extensively for outdoor shots and faithful viewers will recognize all the different spots. It was fun standing by the pool and thinking about all the memorable scenes that took place there. While the interior of the house was not used for filming, it's still fun to check out. Definitely recommend a visit.

have a friend visiting who wanted to visit the site of the show "Dallas" and I couldn't say no! When you've lived in Dallas all your life, you forget about so many places that when a visitor reminds you of all the wonderful places Dallas has to offer - it is nice. We drove over on a Saturday afternoon in August, so it was HOT. The site has lots of shade trees and most of your time is spent inside. You can park right outside the gift shop (if they're not too busy, you can park in front, only a few steps away). When you enter the gift shop it is very spacious, not crowded with things, but several options to take home. My friend bought a Tshirt. We saw a man buying a cowboy hat, as well. So much to see! You purchase your tickets right inside the gift shop and they let you know exactly when the next tour leaves. He told us it would be 5 minutes so we rushed thru the museum, only to stand in line at the door at the end, so if you have 5 minutes - take it and enjoy the museum on your way to the back for the tour. Lots to see on the walls along the way. We all loaded onto a tram to take us over to the house. We were seated in a large room and given the history of the land - which, being a local, I was surprised to know it had changed hands so many times! The show was on during a time in my life when I didn't watch much tv at all, so I was barely familiar with the cast (with the exception of Patrick Duffy, whom I had met downtown one time during filming there, and of course Larry Hagman). But still, it brought back memories of another time, and it was fun to hear the other people in the group talking about their experiences with the show. There was a good group with us, and most seemed from another country. The speaker who addressed us in the beginning with the history asked if anyone needed translation before she began. Three people needed French translation so she handed them some papers so they could follow along in their language. We finished the tour and were on our own to walk back to the gift shop. We stopped to look at the cars they drove and beyond that in another room was a big screen playing the 2012 remake. It looked like a good show from the few minutes I saw of it. Tickets for my friend and I were $30 each but she said we get a discount, I'm not sure how much because she treated! But it's because we're over 60, I believe. Hey, I don't mind :) Great tour, enjoyed it all and the speaker was friendly and stayed with us as we all went every which way. She engaged with us and smiled a lot. Go check it out!
Teresa R — Google review
The tour is definitely not worth $30. No TV show or production props other than a couple of rooms in the house. It’s really about a 20-30 minute tour. Cardboard cutouts of the cast. The property is vast but not a lot to look at other than a couple of long horns, miniature ponies, 1 horse, 1 donkey. There was some renovations going on no food or drinks other than vending machines. Even after renovations are complete and the restaurant is open the tour will still not be worth anything more than about $5. Unless ownership can figure out how to make it better.
Douglas J — Google review
It was nice to see the house from the Dallas TV show, but honestly that’s all there is. The ticket costs $30 per person and feels overpriced no real ranch tour, no interactive experience, just walking through the house, looking at a few rooms for a couple of minutes, and that’s it. In hindsight, I would have skipped it underwhelming and not worth the money.
Rubi B — Google review
I brought my grandmother here today, as something special to do together before I move away. She just had her 85th birthday, and uses a walking cane after knee surgery complications. A shuttle drives visitors from the welcome center to the mansion, so we were told it would bring us back. But instead, at the end they opened the mansion doors for everyone to exit, and said we’ll have to walk back. It was very hot and we also weren’t offered any water / refreshments. Then we discovered restrooms were being renovated so we would’ve had to go back outside to different restrooms. I liked the history, but we weren’t fans of the show so we only came for a scenic tour. $30 per person was way overpriced for the overall experience. A comment posted a couple years ago said admission was HALF that price. Which seems more fair.

Legacy Hall is a cutting-edge culinary and entertainment destination in Texas, offering a diverse range of dining options from over 20 artisanal food stalls, full-service bars, an on-site craft brewery, beer garden, and live music stage. This innovative space allows families and friends to come together to savor the freshest local ingredients prepared by talented local chefs and artisans. With indoor and outdoor restaurants, bars, patios with outdoor seating across three floors, Legacy Hall provides an unforgettable experience for visitors.
If you’re not sure what you’re in the mood to eat, Legacy Hall has you covered with a variety of options all under one roof. It’s perfect for groups, date nights, or spontaneous foodie missions. Families with small children will especially love it—kids can burn off energy on the outdoor patio while parents get a small taste of nightlife. The atmosphere is lively and family-friendly, with multiple bars and a phenomenal patio space when the weather cooperates. It’s the kind of spot that works for almost any occasion. The hibachi grill is 🔥💯; I ❤️ the fried rice - hibachi sauce with steak & shrimp add the yum yum sauce. Roots also has phenomenal banana pudding. Unfortunately during a recent visit - I’m giving legacy hall a 2- star rating due to the service at the bar. I was hoping to try something new and asked what options were available beyond my usual go-to. The bartender listed on my receipt responded with what I can only describe as passive-aggressive energy. No effort was made to upsell or even offer a drink menu. What could’ve been a fun, exploratory experience turned into an uncomfortable one. Unfriendly and seemingly biased service like this can really take away from an otherwise great venue.

I can't report on the food as I didn't eat there due to my allergies, but I wasn't there for food anyway. I was there for the last performance by tribute band Forever Mac! They were amazing, and Legacy Hall's sound production was incredible. I can definitely recommend the live music!

Have been here before but never for a Music event. We came to see the Chris Stapleton tribute and it was awesome. We enjoyed their music, the set up, the food options and how organized it was. I just mention we paid for a table and there seemed to be some people that were just I. The area and stayed., we literally had a family dancing around with their kids right in front t of us (not in the dancing area). We missed a good part of the initial intro of the concert 🎶 Eventually they weren’t anywhere to be seen so it made us think they just were hanging out without admission. After that their whole experience was great. We really enjoyed the whole event. Will definitely return.

Legacy Hall in Texas is straight-up a foodie paradise with main character energy — like, imagine a place where your indecisive self can grab gourmet tacos, truffle fries, and craft beer *all at once* without judgment. The vibes are top-tier: live music floating through the air, rooftop seating that hits different when the sun sets, and a crowd that’s just the right mix of chill and fun. Whether you're on a casual date, third-wheeling your friends, or just there for the vibes and vibes only, this spot delivers every time. It’s giving “weekend plans sorted” energy — and honestly, I’m already planning my next trip back.

Legacy West gets a four-star rating from me. It's a cool, trendy place with the best restaurants, offering amazing food of all types. My only issue is that it has basically little to no seating, which can be a hassle. Despite that, it's still a fantastic spot to enjoy great meals and a lively atmosphere. 4 stars!

The place has an amazing atmosphere, with tons of food options no matter the time of day. Big win? Order with a QR code and they bring your food to your table! Tables were cleaned quickly, and the staff kept everything running smooth. The outdoor area had live music, and the indoor space is super kid-friendly with plenty of room. Trendy, family-friendly, and full of flavor—definitely coming back to explore more stalls!

We spent here a very good time during a Elthon John tribute. The guys who were performing here were amazing. They made all people to be singing despite the rain menace. A very nice show. A very good moment with family. We bought tickets in advance and it was easy and fast. There are other tributes planed during the year. You should come and enjoy this high quality musical shows.

We rented the art space for a Saturday afternoon for a memorial for my mom. We had 12 people there, and had an amazing experience. The gallery is light and cozy, with beautiful, subdued art work. We set up the tables and chairs, and brought our own food and drinks. There was a screen for a slide show, and the gallery provided us with easels so that we could display framed photos of my mom. Overall, this was a memorable experience in this beautiful art gallery that set our souls at peace in parting with mom. The gallery is located next to a beautiful park which added to the charm of the entire experience. Thank you to Molly and the staff that was there Saturday.

Visited for a birthday outing with a party of 8. Started by dining in the restaurant area. The ordering process appeared to go well, however many of the orders were incomplete. There were multiple instances of errors within the orders. Food missing and duplicate items added mostly. As i looked around, there weren't many guests dining in. Can't really say how the experiece became challaging as a customer. Maybe it's the first day? I'm hopeful this can be improved moving forward. Every effort was made to resolve. The orders were corrected and the food was hot, tasty, and filling. Management informed of the experience. The receipt was audited to remove duplicate charges. Accommodations for games were given in addition to the games already purchased. The gaming area was had a variety of games, rock climbing , bumper cars, laser tag. It was enjoyable.

London, Gabe and the staff at the front bar turned a very bad experience into a great night. My close friend had a birthday party for her daughter. We noticed very uncomfortable conversations between her and a staff member named Hina, who seemed aggressive and rude. Very unaccommodating. There came a point where we asked what is this woman’s problem?! These birthday parties are over $500. And that doesn’t include all the extra food and drinks we bought outside of the party as guests. Fast-forward to after the party, the front bar went above and beyond to make up for Hina’s lack of customer service.

I recently visited Pinstack Bowl in Plano, TX, and it was such a fun experience filled with games, good vibes, and tasty treats. The bowling alley itself is modern and lively, with multiple large screens playing sports and entertainment, making the atmosphere energetic and engaging. The lanes are well-lit with cool neon effects, which makes the game even more exciting. We had a great time competing with friends. The food and drinks were equally impressive. We tried their milkshakes, which were rich, creamy, and beautifully presented with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. The portion sizes were generous and perfect to enjoy while taking a break from bowling. Between the competitive games, delicious shakes, and vibrant environment, Pinstack Bowl turned into an evening full of laughter and memories. It’s definitely a go-to spot for group hangouts in Plano!😍😍😇😇

I came to Pinstack with my family — a group of 15 people — and we spent a lot of money, including an outrageous service fee, for terrible service! They convinced us to pre-book “to secure a spot,” but the place was almost empty — just a marketing trick. Our bowling lane was broken, the food was cold, and our host never showed up or informed us about anything. To make it worse, the bar closed way too early, so we couldn’t even use most of our drink vouchers. I came from Switzerland, and this experience was honestly an absolute rip-off. Never again!

Carolyn's Review................... Ok so I went here on Friday, August 8, 2024 at 4 pm. It was a day date and I actually had a lot of fun. I will admit, it's nothing like I expected. In some ways, it was more than I expected. Which was good. In other ways, it was less, which was ok as well. What I liked the most is that they require everyone to go through a semi-training course for safety reasons. It's a good thing they require this. Otherwise, I would have been clueless. I was surprised to see how far up we actually were on some of the obstacle's. My favorite is the zip line. Especially since it was so darn hot! Now, typically I keep my reviews positive. However, I have to be honest. But our guide/teacher wasn't the friendliest. Even worse, he just left us on the course near half way through. He just took off and didn't let us know he was leaving nor let anyone else know. So another instructor saw I was struggling really bad on one of the obstacle's. Primarily because I was hollering for help because I'm outta shape and my hands and arms were shaking pretty badly. So this guy started encouraging me telling me I was gonna be ok and take deep breaths. Telling me I'm awesome, etc. It sure made a huge difference. I really liked the 2nd guy. We stopped after the 3rd obstacle because we were exhausted. But only had two left anyways. We were content with our choice because it was the half way mark anyways. I recommend anyone try this place. Prices are reasonable and it's lots of fun. Just be prepared to get a little dirty and don't forget to bring good gloves! Check it out!!!!

So much fun for my son’s 12th birthday!! He and his dad loved it! It’s the right amount of challenge mixed with easier obstacles and zip lines. I chickened out at the first obstacle and was refunded my money. Definitely appreciate that! The guides or helpers were attentive and friendly and encouraging. They were super patient as they interacted with all the guests there that morning. If we lived in Dallas, we’d come again! Now we know to check out other locations around the country! Thanks for a fun afternoon!!

The food hall has a scan-this-order-that system where staff delivers your food to your table. I’m unsure if the box garden allows this during a live show. I wouldn’t want to miss anything if I’m allowed to order table service.

I didn't think this place would work for a concert like Steel Panther, but they pulled it off. There's good food places in here but they need a single app so you can order from several but still keep your seat. Tacos from Velvet Taco are creative and great. The wings at Roors Chicken Shack were unexpectedly amazing, all double drum/flats, and juicy tasty.

Had a VIP box for Emerald City Friday night and the sound quality and vocals was awful. Couldn’t even recognize some of the songs. Went down to the Box Garden sound board to let them know, and they jumped all over me and threatened to throw me out! Then talked to the EC sound guy and he said it was all on the Box Garden sound guy. They wouldn’t let him do anything to help it. Seems stupid to pay for a VIP box and have worse sound quality than the floor, and they knew it. Seems pretty impossible to screw up EC, but they managed to do so. Why spend the extra money? Visited with other VIP box people and they all agreed. Probably why I don’t see all the VIP boxes being sold anymore?

10/10 vibes! It’s such a beautiful layout, peaceful, and classy! While grabbing a drink, we watched the remainder of the football game on the projector! Customer service was excellent, drinks were decent, and the area was clean. I recommend anyone to check out this Hall overall!

From time to time we’ll reserve a table at the Lexus Box Garden at Legacy Hall to watch a show, and it’s always a great night with friends. The atmosphere is lively, the music is solid, and with all the unique food options, there’s something for everybody. This is one of my favorite places in Dallas — a fun spot we keep coming back to!

This is a must see location for anyone visiting the area. You'll be wowed and as you walk throughout the building your mouth will drop trying to figure out how much went into making this happen. So many food locations and every drink you can imagine is on any of the three floors in the building. There's not a bad seat in the house and it's a great place to have a great time and enjoy the atmosphere and sights amongst you. Great game day hangout for anyone who's a sports fan.

The National Videogame Museum showcases the history of video games, featuring interactive exhibits that showcase classic machines and consoles. Visitors can play many old consoles and computers, providing a trip down memory lane for long-term video game fans. The museum also has an arcade where visitors can enjoy playing old games. Scores are reset nightly to ensure all players have a chance to compete fairly. It's an enjoyable experience for anyone interested in the evolution of video gaming technology over time.
Loved the entire experience, so many exhibits and info boards on the history of video games, so many interactive exhibits, a real life arcade, gift shop and games to play! Could absolutely have spent more time there, but managed to get the highest score in Duck Hunt, my favourite childhood game, which was epic! Very cool art exhibition in the lobby as well and some more spaces too, great to come for some fun for all ages!
Alexandra — Google review
The National Video Game was a gem of a find. It’s small, but interactive with tons of different systems from over time to try out. The layout is easy to navigate and creatively done. My only criticism is that the website advertises a military discount for tickets but at the window they said it was only for the active member, not their family. The irony is that I drove 4 hours alone to visit the museum to help distract my kids from the fact that my active-serving husband is away on duty. So I would encourage the museum to at least update the website with that info. Even without the discount, I didn’t regret bringing the kids to visit. We spent 3.5 hours there and had a lot of fun. I would absolutely recommend this to any age group wanting a fun and educational field trip, nostalgic memories, day date as a couple, or temporary escape from reality as you immerse in virtual realities. I’m personally not a gamer and still had a great time trying out the systems and learning a lot.

The experience was overall pretty good. There was a lot of history that I learned about the gaming industry! My son and I spent about 2 hours checking out the museum. They had a lot of game system to play on. This did take me back to my younger years lol.

This museum is such a fun find and perfect for families. It’s right next to the Frisco Public Library, which is one of the best libraries in Texas, and surrounded by a ton of other great spots, so you can easily make a full day out of this area. If you grew up in the 80s, 90s, or early 2000s and loved video games, you’ll definitely enjoy the nostalgia here. Even if you were the kind of kid who only played on a friend’s console every now and then, there’s something really fun about revisiting all the old systems and games. For kids, it’s like stepping into a whole new world, and it’s cool watching them experience the technology their parents grew up with. My 10-year-old thought this place was amazing and my toddler wanted to touch everything in sight. There’s a great mix of history, interactive exhibits, and hands-on displays that make it enjoyable for both kids and adults. The Pokémon section is a favorite and the 80s living room setup is a really cool throwback. The arcade in the back is definitely a highlight. We spent almost an hour in there just using the tokens that came with admission. Some of the displays have items that are broken or worn out, but that’s expected with how interactive everything is. Be aware that the museum does show a few mature-rated games in the historical sections, so parents with younger kids might want to be ready for a few conversations, but overall it’s very family friendly. One thing to note: the water bottle policy can be tricky. I saw a mom in front of me get told she couldn’t enter because she had a bottle of water at the bottom of her stroller, and she ended up asking for a refund. I understand wanting to protect the tech, but in situations like nursing moms or little kids, that can make things awkward. We had water in our backpack and no one checked, so just something to be aware of before you go. The facility is clean, comfortable, and well-kept inside, which is a huge plus in Texas heat. Military pricing only applies to the service member’s ticket, so if you’re a veteran and bringing family, make sure to bring a dependent ID to get the discount on both. We spent about an hour and a half here but easily could have stayed longer. Some people mention the price isn’t worth it, but if you understand what a museum experience offers, it’s absolutely fair for everything you get. Between the nostalgia, the hands-on exhibits, and the arcade fun, it’s a really cool spot in Frisco for families, gamers, and anyone looking for something different to do.

(Example: Sega Master System Commerical, Sonic the Hedgehog Sega Genesis Debut Commercial and more) Everything was clean, and neat, staff was really nice, and i got to see some video games i enjoy playing as a kid. i really like this place and i will definitely come again :) 5 Star Rating A+++++++++++ Rating

A must. If you nerd out, if you like games, if you like computers, if your a geek, it's got it all! Amazing history showing old systems and computers. You cns play games on many different systems throughout the years. They even have a doom map of the facility you can play through on doom! At the end is an arcade with tokens, high scores, and a souvenir shop. We were in town for a conference and I'm glad we went!

I took my younger brother here a while ago and we enjoyed ourselves. He's really into video games. They have consoles from different eras, and each one includes the history behind the console. While my brother wasn't interested in the history, he enjoyed the mini arcade section. This place is good for older and younger video games enthusiasts.

A Must-Visit for Any Gamer – Past or Present! We had an absolute blast at the National Videogame Museum in Frisco, Texas. From the pixelated classics of the ‘80s to the gaming rigs of the early 2000s, this place is a time machine for gamers of all generations. The interactive exhibits let you actually play history—from Pong to Punch-Out—and there’s something magical about watching your kids discover the joy of retro arcade games. The museum is thoughtfully curated with incredible attention to detail. Whether it’s the recreated 1980s bedroom or the massive console timeline wall, you can feel the passion behind every display. Bonus: the museum is super family-friendly. It’s not just for die-hard gamers—my whole crew enjoyed it. We snapped a bunch of photos and videos (which I’ll add to this review), and honestly, we’ll be talking about this visit for a long time. If you’re in the Frisco area, this is a can’t-miss experience. 🎮👾🕹 #GameOn

The exhibits are well-maintained and family-friendly with a scavenger hunt for added enjoyment. Visitors can sign up online or inside the museum for an outdoor tour featuring numerous engines and rail cars such as the Big Boy, GG1, F7, and centennial.
TrainTopia is the culmination of one man’s lifetime travel experiences and love of trains. The exhibit is over $1 million, and 20,000 man-hours went into creating this extraordinary tour of the American Southwest, woven together by seven operating rail lines. This exhibit is sure to please families of all ages

Fun indoor activities with the kids. They enjoyed the scavenger hunt. I will say that the lights are on a timer that go from "day" to "night" to mimic time and while it's cool to see this the first time, it is super annoying if you're doing the scavenger hunt bc then you basically can't see well enough to find anything. Until they fix that bring a strong flashlight for you and the kids so you don't have to stop the hunt every few minutes. Your phone flash light won't be sufficient. If you wish to do the train tour outside, there are tours at 9 AM, 11AM and 1 PM. How can there be a tour at 9AM before the place actually opens? Good question! Seems illogical, I know. But I was told you just meet the tour guide outside the front of the building at 9 AM sharp. I imagine they are equipped to take payment at that time or you can reserve your spot ahead of time online.
Lina B — Google review
I would recommend going here 100%. Not only because of the large array of details and helpful staff but because of the culture and history behind it. The staff provide scavenger hunts to search for little figure and objectives throughout the entire wonderland, heightening the experience. Furthermore, it’s easy to get lost and spend up to an hour or two inside just observing all the minute details. They continue to expand upon the exhibit and always reinforce its history and ties with its initial owner in an excellent way. If you’re stopping by frisco or just trying to get something to do id absolutely recommend stopping by.

This place is a hidden gem if you’re in the area definitely check it out. The train layout is extensive and there was definitely attention to detail. The details and craftsmanship of this train set was amazing. We all love trains in our family and it was quite the experience! The staff was informative, friendly, and enthusiastic! We also did a scavenger hunt, which was enjoyable ❤️❤️❤️ we had a great time! Check this place out!!!

By itself, the indoor area with the miniature train sets might not feel enough. So it would be advisable to also consider the outdoor guided tour (costs $18 for adult, and $12 for 4-12 year old, indoor included). The outside yard area is very interesting. You walk around and through some very old train cars (oldest one from 1900s). The truly awesome ones are the 132 feet long steam loco "Big Boy" and the superb Union Pacific Centennial. Both biggest engines of their kind!! Our guide Mr John was knowledgeable and fun. This tour takes about 50 mins. Is 3 times a day, 10, 12 and 3 PM. Inside are can take anywhere from 15 to 45 mins, depending upon how keen you are in the scavenger hunting :) Fun for all ages!!
Abhinav J — Google review
Really nice collection and the folks running the place did a nice job. You can't do a self guided tour of the locos and rolling tho, which does kinda suck but great otherwise!

I attended the Shen Yun show at the Charles W. Eisemann Center today. The center has multi-level, providing a great view for any seat. The seats were very comfortable, allowing for a enjoyable and relaxing time. You can have drinks if you like with extra cost. There are also water fountains around the Center. Parking was $5. Strongly recommended for any event!

Nice seating.. .Great views. Easy parking and entry. Lots of help to get to your seats quickly. You'll see by my picture from row b it was a little low.for me. I actually had the phone above my head to get the picture. They actually had an orchestra pit seated also so even in row b you are about 5 rows back w a small wall in front. Next time I'll probably look for seats a bit farther back to see a bit better.

I went to a Beethoven concert tonight and the show itself was great. However, I sat in the parking garage for over an hour after the concert was over because there were only two parking attendants and the process to exit and pay took so long. Sadly I don't think I will be back.

I recently attended the Salim Sulaiman concert at the Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts and Corporate Presentations in Richardson, TX, and it was a fantastic experience. The seats were comfortable, allowing for a pleasant and relaxing evening. Drink options were reasonably priced with $11 champagne and hard drinks, and $3 for water. There are also free water fountains available for convenience. Parking was only $5, and the crowd and traffic management were top-notch, making for a hassle-free arrival and departure. Overall, the Eisemann Center is an outstanding venue, and I thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Highly recommended for any event!

The Eisemann Center is a great facility for concerts. We attended for the first time to see Judy Collins perform with the Richardson Symphony Orchestra. The hall is beautiful, and they have two large screens on the side to provide closeups of the performers. We used the parking garage attached to the Center, which meant we didn't have to go outside. We also used prepaid parking for simplesity when we left. It made for a very pleasant experience and we will be back.

The programs they schedule in coordination with the various cultural groups and communities is great. I do think the snack/drink options should reflect the actual performance though. For a flamingo performance, a traditional Spanish snack would have enhanced the evening. For the recent Indian performance, simple Chai & hotmix or mini samosas would have been perfect.

The Science and Technology room is amazing. My 4 year old built and launched an air powered car and rocket. We played with sand to build a topology map with a projector and computer. They have a maker studio and a ton of cool engaging stations. There were about 30 kids and 20 parents today and there was a birthday party held in the birthday room. My son and I had a blast.

What a cool way to show your kids the evolution of computers and gaming consoles! There is a computer set up so you can play Oregon Trail and one with a visible floppy disk. The 80s bedroom was definitely a hit. My son commented that he remembered me having the same alarm clock when he was little. Stop by and play some Duck Hunt or take rest on the couch from the 80s. Before you leave there is a room where you use your tokens for Galega, Donkey Kong, Mortal Combat or PacMan.

This was a private collection that was donated to traintopia. It is one of the largest model train layouts I've ever seen and very beautifully done. The model train collection is only part of the displays by traintopa. They have a large collection of real engines and cars. Many of which have either been restored are in the process of being restored. One of the most interesting is a large steam engine. Well worth the trip to see. Make sure you check the schedule for the tours of the large engines. Also check the weather as the large equipment is outside.

I brought my granddaughter while fall break in Plano was going on and had an awesome time exploring with her. As a 5 year old it’s important to have interactive experiences. We went when it opened so it wasn’t crowded and we weren’t rushed off of each adventure. She absolutely love it. She didn’t want to leave. The area with the teacher and hands on learning was the best part. She was amazing. I’d say this would be a great space to bring your children.

My family and I were in town visiting, and we came across this discovery center. We have visited a few and have always had a great experience. My son was excited to go in and play however was disappointed when he realized some of the activities weren’t working or set up at all. He was most excited for this kids market, but tea mixed it was a complete mess and was very unmotivated to play. This was very disappointing. We paid $30 to enter and feel as if it was just a waste of money. I expected so much more from this place, but we will not be returning.
Stephiee G — Google review
Great option for kids to have many hands on activities. I was even surprised that the layout kept going into a back area with more activities. Seems like most kids weren't back there. Both kids (5 and 7) enjoyed it a lot and would have stayed longer than the 1.5 hours we were there.

We stopped here during a family vacation to Dallas. We homeschool so we love STEM based exhibits. You’ll find 2 different areas on one floor to explore. My kids loved the hands on experiments with electricity, resonance, and air pressure. It’s one thing to learn from books. But nothing beats hands on experience with experiments! And that’s the real value of visiting here. Think of this like a fun learning experience. You won’t have to push your kids to learn. They’ll do it automatically. Tickets were easy to buy from the website. The experience was not crowded which was great. Hidden find: don’t forget to go outside and check out the whisper dishes. Also… Tickets you buy are only good for the science tech discovery center and NOT the video game museum.

With entry from the Pogo pass(very worthwhile!) we spent a few hours here. Kids had an absolute blast here. Definitely big enough to spend a few hours, but smaller than the big city Science museums. I can imagine that a camp or 2 during the summer will run the place over, and would feel chaotic- on a Sunday it was great. The volunteers could be a little more attentive, and keep a little more order. Definitely easy to recommend for a safe and wholesome experience at a smaller type science museum

I had a Get Out Pass and came here with a friend with a POGO Pass. We each had tickets as part of the pass packages. Our kids had the best time getting hands on with science. This place has a lot of attractions. You can have arcades, indoor karting, immersive games, escape rooms, net crickets and many more. This has different events and shows on the center stage and playground, where you can check on their website, and also, when there are no events, kids can play on the lawn, have some restaurants, some fast food corners, bars and ice-cream parlors for every taste bud, and also during weekends and in weekdays after 5 pm this is becoming very crowded so plan it accordingly, parking is plenty, but there is no easy parking, you don’t need to buy tickets to visit this place, but if you want to enjoy attractions then you need to. You can go with family or friends and have planned dates as well. Enjoy!!

Visited Grandscape with the family and had an amazing time! We kicked things off at The Puttery, which had a really cool, upscale vibe and fun mini golf courses. After that, we caught a movie, then wrapped up the evening with a live AC/DC tribute band rocking the outdoor stage. The lawn area hosts frequent events, concerts, and movie nights that make it feel like a community hub. Parking is free and well-managed even on busy weekends. Shops range from local favorites to major brands, and the restaurants never disappoint. Places like Truck Yard, Lava Cantina, and Davio’s give you plenty of options for any mood or budget. The design, lighting, and cleanliness make a strong impression. It’s perfect for date nights, family outings, or meeting friends. I love going to movies here, as they have a good variety of both mainstream films and independent/documentaries. They have a bar, food and assigned seating. You won't get fancy seats that are popular now. But they are comfy and the atmosphere more than makes up for it! Staff is very friendly!

Of course, we come to sunny Plano and their drought ends with freeway-closing flash floods. Well, heat wave or rain, check out the Angelika. The Plano location is a bright, welcoming corner location in an upscale shopping area. They offer food (think ballpark fare) soft drinks, and alcoholic choices. Online ticket ordering is easy. The movies range from Hitchcock favorites to Sundance, with a mix of edgy and feel-good.

The Angelika Film Center & Café is a great place to see independent and foreign films. It has a wide variety of films to choose from, and the theater is always clean and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. One of the best things about the Angelika Film Center & Café is the atmosphere. The theater is located in a modern shopping center, but it feels like a cozy, intimate space. The seats are comfortable, and the sound system is excellent. There is also a café on site where you can buy food and drinks before or during your movie. If you are looking for a great place to see a movie, I highly recommend the Angelika Film Center & Café. You won't be disappointed.

Loved it! It was clean & not crowded. We went on a Saturday afternoon. Parking was close by & there were many shops & restaurants nearby to waste time till our movie started. The seats were comfortable. There were good snack & drink choices & reasonable prices.
Sharon T — Google review
Can't believe I never reviewed this place... This was my go-to cinema having the best auditorium seats and the best sound. The 5 screens of different seating capacities was well-suited for the variety of films shown here. I'm quite saddened by the news today. If this theater goes away for good, I will have no reason to visit this shopping center and dine around here. I had a feeling the shopping center was taking a turn for the worse when the remodeling/painting projects started.

The Courtyard Theater is a former WPA gymnasium transformed into an architectural venue for live performances and art displays. It offers an intimate setting for various events, including theatre, dance, music, and speaking engagements. The spacious foyer area provides ample room for guests, while the quaint yet comfortable seating allows for a cozy experience with great acoustics.
This is a delightful space that offers an intimate and engaging live performance experience. Its compact size ensures that every seat feels close to the action, creating a deep connection between the audience and the performers. The venue’s atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a friendly staff that adds to the charm. It’s clear that careful thought has gone into crafting a space where audiences can feel immersed in performance without distractions. If you enjoy live music, musicals or theater in an intimate setting, The Courtyard Theater is a must-visit. It’s the kind of place that makes you appreciate the magic of live art in a cozy, acoustically brilliant environment . Highly recommended for a you’re and memorable day out.

I love going to plays here. Wonderful talent and an excellent venue. We were down front for Irving Berlin's White Christmas. It was just splendid. We did Spam A Lot at this theater as well and it was super well done and hysterical.

I had an invitation to see Ken Coleman speak at the Courtyard Theater so I couldn't pass it up. Parking: one could park on the street, but there's plenty of parking in the back. Plenty. Foyer area: the foyer area is fairly spacious. The line created to enter the theater was weird because it became a circle. I want to see there's two ways to enter but the other door wasn't open. Seating: you will get to know your neighbor. The seats are quaint but comfortable. Every seat is a good seat when it comes to viewing the stage. Overall, a beautiful theater and I'm looking forward to visit again in the future.

Very nice theater for live plays and musicals. The play we saw was fantastic!! Met the actors/actresses after the show. Great bunch of talented people. Especially Ashley Seal. She was accommodating and classy. Very talented.

Lots of parking space at the back of the building. There's also some parking in the front for fast loading and drop off. Nice place, will not get lost. Clean, nice, different artwork on display. Good sitting upstair especially!

Delightful and cute theater. Not too big but not too small. Some city plays but well executed. I watched mamamia and was really good! I will be looking for more plays to comeback

Just finished our daughters 5th birthday here! Everything was taken care of so wonderfully! Our hosts were so kind, attentive, and kept everything clean and tidy! The easiest birthday party experience for us so far!!

I had such a great experience! Staff is so sweet and helpful. The kids truly enjoyed it and parent's as well. So cute, fun, and very intimate vibes for your guest! Loved it 😊

From the moment we showed up we were greeted with warmth and kindness! Our party was a huge hit and everyone loved it! We will do sure be back to visit when we are in town!

I booked my toddler's birthday party here and it was amazing 👏 First off, Kathy is super communicative and helpful leading up to the party. The team also helped to set up the few decorations and food i brought. They kept everything going smoothly by facilitating cake/ food time, serving the kiddos, tidying up after the kiddos went back to play. Everything was packed up for me at the end and they helped me get it back into my car as well. My child loves playing here whenever we can but the experience as a parent for the party really made me feel like having her party here was the right choice. It was so simple and I will be hosting future parties here. 1000/10 would recommend playing at this location for one of their playtime, going to one of their holiday events and especially booking a party here.

District 121 is the ultimate summer destination, offering a diverse range of entertainment options for all. The calendar is packed with regular events and special shows, ensuring there's always something exciting happening. One highlight is the annual MillHouse MuralFest, where talented artists create stunning murals accompanied by live music and delicious food and drinks. Additionally, visitors can enjoy various dining options such as Mi Cocina and Bobs, as well as an outdoor space featuring a stage for live performances.
Cool place to hang out. I was there visiting one of the restaurants. I am looking forward to visiting the outdoor facility where there will be live music when it’s a bit cooler outside. I’ll update the review with more to say at that time.
Frank K — Google review
Fun venue for mini concerts and dinner. My only complaint is that the sound system for Friday night's concert seemed to experience a lot of problems. Oh, and they really need to either have dessert food trucks for big events or recruit some sort of dessert themed restaurant into the district!
Don D — Google review
Great concerts. Free and getting there early for good seats are recommended. Bring lawn chairs as the restaurant outdoor seating is good but can get limited if arriving close to concert time. We like to go by Elwood B.F.D. for drinks and an appetizer prior to concert.
Lisa B — Google review
Went to see the Vintage Yell play. This place is cool but needs way more restaurants and bar options. Mi cocina was the only option. The band was great as always. I'll wait till they have more options built as this place is brand new.

Located just minutes from the Downtown Plano Arts District at Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve, the Plano ISD, Robinson Fine Arts Center is a fantastic venue for various activities. It offers a treetop adventure course and serves as a great space for choir practice and performances. The facility has received high praise for its friendly staff, excellent acoustics, beautiful design, and ample seating and parking.
Very nice center for events. We went to the MLK celebration, my daughter was singing. The seats are comfortable and the acoustics are great

The building is beautiful. It has volumes of natural light and interior lighting is lovely. The sound quality with an orchestra playing is clear and accurate. Beautiful.

It's such a lovely place to be able to utilize for Plano independent school districts schools. I've been here many times attending events and concerts for my children over the years throughout middle, Junior, and senior high School events. Only downside is when the event is a cluster event with many schools to participate in the parking can be tight or difficult. Other than that it's a very well designed and thought-out lovely building. I'm grateful to have it and for our students, faculty in community to use it.

Very great, audiences/visitors friendly facility! I forgot my most important personal belongings there. They found, kept, and returned to me very quickly. Thank you so much! Really appreciate Laura McNary, Front of House Manager, and all the staff working there, you are the best! W.L.
