Amusement park ride
Sanrio Puroland is an indoor theme park located in Tama city, offering a dreamlike experience for fans of Sanrio characters like Hello Kitty and her friends. Visitors can enjoy a kabuki-style Hello Kitty musical with translations in multiple languages, explore Lady Kitty's House, and meet the beloved characters for photos. The park features rides, shopping opportunities, colorful parades, and themed areas dedicated to different Sanrio characters such as Gudetama and Pompompurin.
My wife loves Hello Kitty. So if you know someone who loves it too you must go. It's indoors with AC. The weather was hot and humid, so it was perfect to be inside to enjoy it. If you don't want to wait in line, you can buy priority tickets at the entrance of each ride. The price for the priority tickets is different for each ride. We left the Shinjuku train station and took the Red Express on track 2, and returned on track 3.
Cliff M — Google review
The theme park isn't very large, and I visited on a weekday. In my opinion, it felt overcrowded. The facilities are a bit old, which was evident in the staircase leading to the restaurant on the 4th floor where it looked like it had been used for 30 years. I paid for the entrance tickets, but most of the game booths and attractions required additional payment. Additionally, the characters seemed to be more geared towards girls, which my boys weren't very interested in during our visit. One positive aspect is that the entire park is air-conditioned, which I admired, especially since it could reach 39 degrees Celsius in Tokyo.

Love love loved it! A little overstimulating but Sanrio puroland was magical! Busted during the week and it was pretty busy, but manageable. Everything was accessible and easy to find, but I wish I knew ahead of time you have to access or line up early to see certain shows. So check their site calendar before arriving!! Only thing I didn't enjoy much was the food, it meh but pretty! Highly recommended stopping by the hello kitty train station that's near as well!🎀

We had such a wonderful family day at Sanrio Puroland! 💖 The Miracle Gift Parade and the Sanrio Character Boat Ride were truly the highlights — so magical and beautifully done. ✨ Everything was well-organized, the staff were super friendly, and my kids absolutely loved meeting their favorite characters like My Melody and Cinnamoroll. The food inside was also surprisingly good, with plenty of cute themed options. 🍰🍛 It’s definitely a must-visit spot for families, especially if your kids love Sanrio characters. Highly recommended! 🎀

A magical world of Sanrio! Sanrio Puroland is perfect for Hello Kitty fans and anyone who loves cute, whimsical experiences. The park is colorful, clean, and full of fun attractions, live shows, and character meet-and-greets. The themed food and merchandise are adorable, and every corner is very “Instagram-worthy.” A delightful place for families, friends, or solo visits — it really brings out your inner child! 💖

everything about this place was truly a dream come true and a huge bucket list of mine! bought our admission tickets on klook in advance. rides are worth it, if you can afford the fast lane, then greatly recommend. the parade show was perfection, i enjoyed it more than i thought i would, it surpassed my expectations. i didn’t have any of the food, only drinks, it was okay imo. staff is very courteous and welcoming. as well, i recommend starting your day here when it opens so you can be able to do more stuff as i didn’t get to finish everything arriving 2 hrs later from opening. other than that, it was a gorgeous attraction any sanrio lover would enjoy :) can’t wait to come again

Very fun place to visit. I really love Kuromi. You can easily spend a whole day taking photos. Parking is not expensive, 1,500 yen for more than five hours, and you can redeem it at the counter.

So cute and so much fun. Plan to arrive early to try to avoid long wait times for the rides. Also, the Puropass can sell out. Tons of exclusive merchandise that’s only available there. I visited on a Monday afternoon & it was packed.

Outlet mall
Shopping mall
MITSUI OUTLET PARK Tama Minami-Osawa is an American-style grand outlet mall offering a wide range of popular brand fashion, outdoor and home goods, toys, and restaurants. With over 100 stores in a French-inspired two-story townscape, shoppers can enjoy additional discounts at 39 tax-free stores including renowned brands like Michael Kors, Beams Outlet, and adidas. The mall also caters to plant and animal enthusiasts with shops selling gardening and pet supplies.
Walk-around and start scanning some great deals here. You might find some good bargain 👍🏻. Few brands offer great deals such as Vans, Nike, etc...
Suzaidee S — Google review
Today, I had a very unpleasant experience at a Levi’s store. The male staff member (a well-built man who seemed to be wearing glasses) said nothing during the checkout. Less than ten minutes later, I asked for a refund, but he told me that their store does not accept refunds unless the item is defective. Is there really any Levi’s store or major outlet in the world that refuses a return within just ten minutes? Since it seemed impossible to communicate with that staff member, I went to the customer service desk and explained the situation. The customer service representative told me that the receipt clearly states that returns are accepted. The customer service desk then contacted the Levi’s store on my behalf, and only after receiving their call did the staff member finally process my refund. Although I felt very uncomfortable as a traveler, I still thanked him before leaving the store — but he didn’t even respond or say goodbye. Instead, I could hear him mumbling something behind me. As an overseas visitor, I was extremely disappointed and offended. I sincerely hope that staff training will be properly reinforced.

It's easy to walk around and there aren't as many people as outside the city, which might be because there are many places selling products.
Goodluck D — Google review
This outlet is conveniently linked to several malls, offering a wide array of shopping options. If you can't find what you're looking for in one mall, you can easily stroll over to another nearby. However, it's worth noting that the outlet prices may not be prominently displayed. Therefore, it's advisable to inquire / check about any available discounts or promotions to make the most of your shopping experience.
00Y — Google review
The outlet is right next to the metro station so it's very convenient. There are many local Japanese brands which offers good price. The most surprising thing to us is there's even a glasses store which the frams price is very reasonable and you could pick up your glasses in an hour's time. Food wise, you could either dine in the restaurant within the outlet area, or could just walk for a minute back to the train station where there's a shopping mall with many other food option.
Le C — Google review
Great outlets in the same place. Good parking space but need to walk just a little but to reach here. There are some food stalls. We loved to explore and do shopping.
Mamata M — Google review
This outlet is only 40mins by Keio line from shinjuku, sizes is not very big but already good enough to do shopping. Many brands here including franc franc, adidas, Nike, beams, as know as, acis......they also have a supermarket inside the outlet. Recommend.
Annie T — Google review
This is a good place for you to travel at Japan. It takes 45 minutes from Shinjuku station. You can shopping here, eating, drink coffee, photo shooting. If you like Puma, Adidas, Nike brand, I recommend to buy these sneakers here with very chip price if you don’t mind they are late 1-2 season (cause they are outlet).

Shopping mall
The indoor shopping mall, MeWe Hashimoto, attracts locals with its grocery store and food court. With a variety of shops available, it is a popular destination for both shopping and dining. The mall offers a range of options for those in a hurry or looking to take their time. On the first floor, there is a convenient place to grab a quick bite while paid parking is also available nearby. Additionally, the mall features a fifth-floor sitting area providing visitors with an opportunity to relax.
Hi , I hope you have a nice day. In the crowded places it's very nice to find some rest and silence with good food and coffee. In Hashimoto there are a lot of places for shopping and dining however when in rush it's easy to grab a quick bite in MeWe Hashimoto first floor. Paid Parking is available but on little walk.

Japanese restaurant
In the small town of Hashimoto, there is a chicken restaurant called Torichu Sagamino-Tei that has a charming, nostalgic ambiance. Although rumors circulated that their ramen was no longer available, the establishment still offers a delightful selection of dishes. Their fried chicken, known as Tatsuta, is particularly noteworthy with its juicy and tender texture. Alongside this scrumptious main course, they also serve delectable sushi and nigiri options.
Best chicken place ever! Crispy, juicy skin and tender meat! Their wings are fall of the bone and all their sides were delicious. Great place for dinner with friends.

(Translated by Google) On this day, I went out under the blazing sun to go to a restaurant that was featured in the drama "Solitary Gourmet." The moment I arrived at the restaurant, I was shocked to see a sign saying it was temporarily closed. I pulled myself together and looked for a restaurant near Hashimoto Station. As I was near the station, I suddenly noticed a group of women waiting in line, so I joined them and lined up behind them. I asked them if they come here often, and they replied that they come often because their lunch is delicious, so I lined up with peace of mind. When the restaurant opened, I was shown to the counter and ordered the A lunch recommended by the women from before. (¥2,080) And beer, too! The lunch that was served was luxurious, with fried chicken, chicken wings, meatballs, and fried chicken wrapped in shiso leaves. Let's start with the fried chicken! It was hot and crispy, but juicy inside. It was delicious, and the meatballs were hot and I was puffing away, so I ate it while washing it down with beer, which was the best! As expected from a chicken specialty store, everything is delicious. If you eat sushi one after another, it's just average, conveyor belt sushi level. If that's the case, wouldn't normal rice be good enough? I think the 1,500 yen fried chicken set meal and fried chicken set meal are popular. A to C is 1,710 yen, and the seafood bowl lunch is 910 yen. I'm curious about the composition of fried foods, sushi, and chawanmushi. 1,710 yen is a bit too much for a normal lunch, so I went for the seafood bowl. In addition to seafood bowl, you can choose salad or chawanmushi. The story isn't bad at all. A little bit of rice It feels warm and has a slight sweetness of vinegar. If you only eat seafood, about half of the rice will be left over. Comes with dashi soup and seasonings to make ochazuke It's interesting that it's edible. It's better to come with your family on holidays than to come alone for lunch. It seemed like a nice store. The Kisoji Sagamiharaten restaurant in Sagamihara offers sukiyaki and shabu shabu dishes. Customers have reported that making a reservation beforehand is crucial, especially on weekends when the place gets crowded quickly. The sashimi is always enjoyable, and the beef tongue served during their meat fair is tender and flavorful when paired with salt and wasabi. Their current dessert option is Mont Blanc, which may be smaller in size but satisfies with its rich taste.

I had been interested in this restaurant because I heard that the brother of a hairdresser from my previous salon works there and that they serve osechi here every year. This time, my husband had a 1,000 yen gift card and I was worried about using just one, but it looked like it could be used at Kisoji, so I decided to go for it. Nan-tetsu, a renowned Udon eatery in the vicinity, offers an exquisite combination of delectable pork-based broth and generously-sized udon noodles. (Translated by Google) I had a large serving of 800g of udon noodles. If you purchase Today's Food for 300 yen, you can get a special plate and try the all-you-can-eat side dish challenge! The two plates in the photo are for my wife and me. While I was enjoying the crispy sweet potato tempura, the udon arrived! The thick, white udon noodles beautifully showcased their distinct noodles, and the appetizing dipping sauce, featuring pork belly and green onions, was a delight. First, I tried the shop's recommended way of eating it without dipping the udon. It was smooth and chewy, with a rich wheat flavor and aroma. Delicious! (*´ω`*) Next, I dipped the udon in the dipping sauce, which appears to be made with bonito flakes and kelp, further enhancing the udon's deliciousness. You can also change the flavor by adding ginger, pepper, or shichimi pepper from the table. After quickly finishing off the udon, I diluted the remaining dipping sauce with some soup-wari broth to enjoy the aftertaste. The staff were cheerful and lively, and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was great. After all, a good restaurant needs a good atmosphere too. Thank you for the meal. (Translated by Google) The service is a mystery. Even though the place was empty, we were seated at the end of the counter, even though there were empty tables. Why did they want to seat us with a solo customer? The udon noodles were on the soft side for Musashino udon. The soup was spicy. The meat and green onions were delicious. I asked the waiter for some fresh shichimi pepper. The savory and refreshing flavor of the green chili pepper was delicious. I also tried the extra-spicy chili pepper hanging on the wall, but it wasn't that spicy, just like regular chili pepper. The kakiage tempura was filling and impressive, but it was oily and left me feeling heavy. I would have preferred the ingredients to fall apart a little more easily. The udon was delicious. It didn't get a high score compared to other restaurants, but... I can see why it's popular. However, the service was so mysterious that it left me feeling uneasy. (Translated by Google) I went there for lunch, and there were 4-5 groups waiting, so I had to wait outside for about 20 minutes. However, the udon was prepared as soon as I was seated, and it was served immediately. The beef broth udon was delicious, with firm noodles and dipping sauce that went well together. Paired with the appetizer of the day, it was enough to fill me up. It's a bit far from the station, so it takes about 30 minutes on foot, but it was an udon restaurant worth the trip. Sagamiko Resort Pleasure Forest, also known as Lake Sagami Pleasure Forest, is a popular amusement park located in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture. It offers a variety of attractions and activities for families to enjoy. The park features an outdoor barbecue area called the Wild Cooking Garden on the east side of Pleasure Forest Garden, where visitors can savor their meals amidst natural surroundings.
It’s best place to bring family and kids One of my favorite winter Illuminations. But if you are not comfortable of cold weather then late autumn or early spring will be the best time to visit. Even on sunny days evenings can get chilly. Rest assured that you will enjoy the view.. The amusement park is not top of the world but pretty nice to spend the day. There are friendly staff and there is HALAL food track for Muslims to enjoy some KABAB.. over all it’s amazing place for family couples and kids.

Came here on Christmas Day 2021 and it was absolutely packed. The queue started on the road even before our bus got to the parking area ! Our bus parked at the designated bus zone then we were asked to go up to the express lane Now the queue ( after queuing for a car spot) for the general public was a night mare . I would say at least 1.5 hours of wait ( in freezing weather ! ) Strongly recommend to join a tour so that you can go through the “ groups only lane “ On Christmas. We went straight through that express lane and were mesmerised by the illumination. By Kanto standard this has to be one of the best! Bring plenty of warm clothing, ear muffs, beanie cos it’s in the outskirts near a lake. Definitely worth a visit

Came here during winter at night and it was freezing cold not all the rides are fully operational, and only limited ones are allowed for night time amusement rides. They were about three rides that are the more exhilarating ones for us to play, and mainly it seems like the light display is the main attraction and a lot of photo opportunities with the characters. The night time tickets cost a lot less than the daytime and the off-peak hours so heading there at night it's a different vibe it's a more of a romantic couple vibes & family time. The lights display were indeed very beautiful and pictures came out really well. It is also pet friendly! Unexpectedly, we really like the Paddington town where it caters to children, but us adults, we actually had a lot more fun than we thought. The parking area is really organized as the staff were ushering us to go in level by level. The later you come in, the lower the level you go, to which means you have to climb the hill longer to reach the park, which I don't mind because it's really cold and I get to exercise 😆

Amusement park with several rides. It is primarily for kids. But there are around 3 or 4 rides which adults can enjoy too. You should visit early before noon to get the most of the rides. When I arrived at 4pm only 2 rides (which adults could enjoy) were open. If you just want to enjoy the illumination then arrive there before sunset and your night pass (which lets you have unlimited rides) will be worth every penny.

Had an amazing time. It wasn’t crowded, friendly staff, great activities even for people with pets. If you happen to me a Morimori member, there’s a birthday discount!! (Yea, I used that🥳😎). Overall, it’s an amazing place for family, couples and solo trip (was there on solo trip!).

Great place for families, pets, and couples! They have some good rides for adults and kids. Dogs are allowed on some of the rides as well! Nice place to go on a date, too, since they have night events like a drone show. The only bad side is that they're not public commuting-friendly. It's hard to get there, and it's a hassle to get a bus out of there if you're coming from Tokyo.
Ian F — Google review
Since moving to Japan I try to visit here for the illumination once a year. I recommend going during cherry blossom season because the views are amazing! The themes make it all the more exciting too. I especially enjoyed the Sailor Moon theme. I recommend getting the free pass if you plan on going on multiple rides. It’s an additional ¥900. The next time I visit, I want to try the lodging and hot spring option.

Sagamiko MORI mori is a surprising gem! We joined a day trip, and one of the stops was this park. Initially, I thought it would just be a traditional park for kids, but it turned out to be so much more—absolutely stunning at night! The entire area is beautifully illuminated with LED lights, creating a magical and dreamy atmosphere. There are plenty of spots for kids to explore and enjoy, as well as numerous Instagram-worthy photo opportunities for adults. It’s definitely a visual treat for everyone! We spent about an hour there, and it was truly memorable and beyond our expectations. If you're in the area, don’t miss this enchanting experience—it’s perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking for a unique evening out.

Lake Sagami Park is a wonderful destination to relax and immerse yourself in nature. The park offers a tranquil environment, with plenty of seating areas where you can rest, enjoy a meal, and admire the picturesque lake and the surrounding autumn trees. One of the unique features that sets Lake Sagami Park apart is its charming small stores. These stores give off a nostalgic vibe, transporting you back to simpler times. The arcade in one of these stores is especially delightful, allowing you to relive the fun of classic games. It adds a touch of playfulness and nostalgia to your visit, making it a great spot for families and friends to enjoy some time together. Additionally, for those who love the water, the park offers boat rentals. This gives you the opportunity to explore the lake and enjoy a peaceful and serene boating experience. Whether you prefer to paddle leisurely or venture out for a little adventure, the boat rentals add an extra layer of enjoyment to your visit. Mountain peak
Nature & Parks
Mountains
Mount Takao, also known as Takaosan, is a 599-meter-tall peak located within an hour of Shinjuku station in Tokyo. It has been a pilgrimage site for over 1,200 years and offers a mix of traditional Japanese culture and natural beauty. Visitors can enjoy hiking trails, a funicular railway, and the opportunity to visit the Yakuo-in temple. The summit provides stunning views of Tokyo and Mount Fuji on clear days.
I highly recommend coming out to this mountain it offers a perfect mix of natural beauty, peaceful hiking, and cultural exploration. The views from various points are absolutely stunning, and you’ll come across several gorgeous shrines along the trails that are well worth stopping at. There's also a charming little suspension bridge that adds to the overall charm. The mountain has multiple trail options, all falling in the easy to medium range in terms of difficulty. None of them are intense, and many are shaded, making them a great choice even in the summer heat. There are also plenty of rest spots, vending machines scattered along the way, and small eating areas where you can grab a quick snack or cool drink. One of the best features is the choice between taking a cable car or a chairlift. I personally suggest doing one on the way up and the other on the way down, so you get to experience both. I especially loved the chairlift coming down—it gave a breezy, peaceful end to the hike. Just note that if you go early in the morning, the chairlifts might not be operating yet, so starting with the cable car may be your best option. Another important tip: chairlift stop running at 16:30 so plan accordingly if you're heading up later in the day. All in all, this mountain is a 10 out of 10 for me. It’s a perfect morning hike that offers incredible views, peaceful shrines, and multiple ways to tailor your experience depending on your mood and pace. A must-visit.

Just a short trip from Tokyo, Mount Takao offers a peaceful escape from the city’s noise. Surrounded by calm nature and fresh mountain air, it’s the perfect place to find silence, refresh your tired soul, and reconnect with yourself.
Santosh P — Google review
The perfect plan for those who like nature and enjoy walking….it’s only 1 hour outside Tokyo and a lot of things to see and eat there. We decided to take the trail 1 (the easiest) to go up and took the lift in our way down! But the cable car is also available.
Abigail G — Google review
Beautiful payoff for what amounts to be a 45 minute walk. Paved paths with excellent three color leaves during fall (November 2025). Some crowds but manageable. The secret to getting the coveted photo is to ensure that Mount Fuji shows clear or lightly clouded skies before hiking up here. I have some examples of potential photos below.
Justus U — Google review
A picturesque mountain peak with a variety of hiking trails to take. The views from the peak are beautiful and worth the continuous uphill struggle. Took trail 6 and it’s not for the weak. The views and changing terrains make for a stunning trek, the stretch of stairs almost killed me. In the end, a great workout immersed in nature. The temple was amazing and the different trails and roads pique curiosity. If you are not the hiking type, there’s a cable car and lift service. Will definitely be visiting the mountain more.
Bilqees P — Google review
I went early November with its ~18°C, bring a coat for possible cold weather clouds, wind and rain. Lifts opened at 8, saw Fuji from the top at 12 (viewing spot cleared up!) and bought goshuin, goshuincho and charms at the Temple (ask politely in english and they will help you out). Overall Time spent: over 1 hour commute from Shinjuku each and around 4 hours taking it all in. With Koyo its popular, come early.
Marc W — Google review
Worth making the small trek to from Tokyo. Took us about an hour and a half to get here from Kyobashi Station. We lucked out and got great views of Mount Fuji when we got to the top. That alone made the trip worth it.
Josh W — Google review
Nice place for hiking, my advice for traveler is climb up the mountain by foot then take the cable car down because the trail is very steep and it will hurt your knees, please be careful.

Came on a sunny Sunday afternoon with my kids to hunt for beetles, saw on Google maps it was quite bushy thinking it would be a great spot to find many bugs and things but we ended up finding out this is more of a hiking location and we ended up hiking for 3 hours. It's a decent size mountain with numerous hiking trails - some quite steep trails and some very narrow roads with step drops on both side which was quite scary especially with kids. They have a little park kids can play and a flat area where you can lay a tent and enjoy nature. If your into hike it's also a great place to visit.

I really enjoyed visiting Miyagase Lakeside Park. The view of the lake is beautiful and the walking paths are wide and easy to follow. Parking is available nearby (around 500–800 yen), and there are also clean toilets including ones for people with disabilities, which is very convenient. Entrance to the park is free, but if you come during special events like the Christmas illumination, there may be some small ticket charges. The place is stroller and wheelchair friendly in most areas, though some slopes are a bit tiring. Food stalls and restaurants are there, but on weekdays many are closed, so it’s safer to bring your own snacks or drinks. Barbecues and open flames are not allowed, and some areas don’t allow pets, so keep that in mind. The best part for me was the peaceful atmosphere by the water and the seasonal flowers, but the downside is that it gets extremely crowded during cherry blossom season and winter events, and parking fills up very fast. Overall, it’s a lovely spot for families, couples, or anyone who enjoys relaxing in nature, but I recommend going on a weekday if you prefer it quiet.

ガスト 相模湖店 is a charming spot that I reached after a scenic bike ride from Itabashi-ku over the Ohdarumi Pass on Route 20. The menu features soft-boiled eggs, which pair perfectly with natto and rice. While the breakfast options are standard, they are well-prepared. The restaurant is notably clean, with attentive staff who prioritize cleanliness alongside customer service.

I arrived at 9:15 am after bicycling here from Itabashi-ku over the Ohdarumi Pass on Route 20. I was delighted to find soft-boiled eggs on the menu as they go with natto and rice perfectly. Standard breakfast menu otherwise though well done. I remarked to the young man at the register on how very clean this Gusto was: table, drink bar and rest rooms. Granted it had opened 15 minutes before... But the wait staff were cleaning when not serving customers: a sure sign of good management.

It's a nice mall. You can basically get anything you need there. It's a little pricey depending on the store, though. We went there for a new pair of glasses and some equipment/furniture for our new baby. It's cost well over 1000USD for these items. It's not a place to shop if you want to save but....it's a good spot for dates or items that are hard to find.

Kanuma Park is a delightful oasis that beckons visitors with its serene ambiance and stunning gardens. Nestled near Fuchinobe Station, this expansive park offers a variety of recreational activities, including baseball fields and tennis courts. One of its highlights is the charming pond adorned with cherry trees, making it an ideal spot for relaxation or leisurely strolls, especially during the enchanting Sakura season.
Very nice big park near Fuchinobe Station. About 10 minutes walk from the train station. There's a pond with sakura trees. Nice park to rest and rest, with benches also. There's an area where kids can ride bicycles, and rent small pedal cars which is just beside the old train. There's also a baseball field and tennis court.

Best spot for relaxing and strolling with your friends. Close to Fuchinobe station and awesome location for a budget Hanami fest! Cherry blossom 🌸 are the best! Must visit place during Sakura season!!

Great pick for kids, with an old D52 steam locomotive (very famous in Japan) and lots of activities. The best thing is a mini area for bikes and other vehicles, with traffic lights and pedestrian walks for kids to learn about safety. We had a blast!

Free bicycle and toy car rides for the kids until 16:30 in the summer (16:00 in the winter)! Awesome! And there is an ice cream vending machine in it too. Plus free parking, a pond, a smoking space and a playground for kids

Chinese takeaway
The Chinese restaurant Gyoza no Ohsho - Fuchinobe offers delicious fried rice and dumplings. However, it's important to note that some customers mistakenly thought the pale dumplings were steamed when they were actually uncooked. This caused amusement but also posed a problem as there was nowhere to cook them. Nevertheless, the convenience of being able to order and pick up at the window without entering the establishment was appreciated.
Great fried rice and dumplings! Be careful though, my friend thought the pale dumplings were steamed, but they give them to you uncooked lol it was pretty funny when we realized the mistake but we had nowhere to cook them! It was also really convenient to order and pickup at the window without having to go in.

(Translated by Google) For today's lunch, I went to Yoshino Shokudo, a popular restaurant in Hashimoto. It's so popular that it's always full at lunchtime, with lines outside. The restaurant is quite spacious, but they deliberately avoid sharing tables and allow customers to sit comfortably alone, likely to ensure smooth food delivery. The menu is extensive, with a wide variety of options, from set meals to noodle dishes, so it's hard to choose. The prices are a little on the high side, but considering the portions, it makes sense. This time I ordered the tanmen (900 yen) with half a bowl of rice. The crisp flavor of the vegetables blends well with the soup, giving it a gentle yet rich taste. The noodles blend well, and it was very satisfying. The rice was a little soft, but the overall balance was good. There's free parking for approximately 15 cars, so it's easy to visit by car with peace of mind. This restaurant retains the atmosphere of a traditional diner, while still exuding careful craftsmanship. A hearty bowl of tanmen ramen A wide variety of dishes Free parking for 15 cars Next time, I'd like to try the katsu curry and yakisoba. Thank you for the meal. There are many restaurants near the station, but if you come all the way here, you have to stop by this place that was featured in the Solitary Gourmet. So we went in. In the drama, the waiter was a woman, but on this day, two young men were in charge of the waiter. It was quite crowded with people who seemed to be regulars, so we were assigned a corner of the tatami room. From the many menus, we ordered half a plate of fried rice, fried chives and liver, and fried dumplings. The half plate of fried rice was so full that it was almost half the serving. The fried rice was quite tasty, with a strong flavor and just the right amount of frying. The fried chives and liver were also well seasoned, and went well with the pork liver and crunchy vegetables. The fried dumplings were a type with a lot of vegetables and a strong garlic flavor, and perhaps because they were wrapped a little sweet, it was unfortunate that my mouth was open when I ate them, but they were quite delicious.

Since it was 5pm on a weekday, it wasn't busy yet, and the food was ready in less than 10 minutes. Everything was as filling as it was on TV. Even the miso soup came in a bowl, and I got a large portion even though there wasn't enough rice. The beef stamina is generously made with tender beef and is also cheap. There are so many items on the menu that it's hard to decide what to order. Everything is delicious. There is parking for easily 20 cars, and the restaurant is spacious and bright. The atmosphere is generous with the portions, so it's no wonder that there are so many male solo diners. The staff are efficient and friendly, and I have no complaints. I wish this restaurant was closer to me. I'll come again. This definitely gives you stamina! It contains pork. However, I misunderstood...it wasn't the one Matsushige-san was eating...The person next to me ordered the "Beef Stamina Stir-Fry," but that was the menu featured in the drama... I stopped in for a late lunch. The restaurant's tables are arranged around the kitchen. There are tables further back, and it seems to have plenty of room. I ordered a fried rice set with Cantonese noodles and gyoza. [Gyoza] The gyoza, one of their signature dishes, have thick, chewy skins. Each piece is large, making them satisfying and delicious. [Fried Rice Set] The fried rice is simple and good. I wanted rice as the main dish, so I ate it with the gyoza. It was delicious. The ramen was a mini size, topped with spinach, roast pork, and bamboo shoots. The soup was quite strong. Dip the fried rice in the soup for a bit, which was nice. [Cantonese Noodles] The thick, chewy gyoza looked delicious. There's plenty of filling and lots of seafood. I've only ever had sweet Cantonese noodles before, but this one has a strong soy sauce flavor. It's delicious in its own way. Nice and big. Basically everything you need in one building. Don't expect anything you haven't seen in other Japanese cities in Kanto. But it's still a nice place with lot's of restaurants. There's a hub and many nice yakiniku places. Be sure to check them out and eat your share. They might not have an English menu but with a smartphone a translation won't be the problem of your night.

Bono is a nice shopping center with he first floor being a large supermarket and the second floor having smaller specialty shops. The Supermarket is a bit more expensive than most places in Japan, however, the food is also fresher than usual. There is also a large selection off wine at this location. The second floor consist of typical Japanese sweet shops and a few import stores. There is also a Baskin Robbins on the 2nd floor.
Daniel W — Google review
Lots of fast food shop, seria, clothing stores, restaurants, I like dining in Hanamaru Udon shop at 2nd floor, Life at the ground floor is one of the cheapest place to buy daily items.

This complex was recently built adjoining the Odakyu Sagamiohno station. This makes it very convenient to get to from almost anywhere in the Tokyo - Yokohama Megalopolis. There is a large variety of restaurants at street level, on the second floor in the South tower and on the roof of the North tower. There is an excellent grocery and department store and many specialty shops. The Sports club is well appointed and very convenient.

Very easy to navigate. There are many parking lots for people who intend to leave their vehicles behind and commute using trains.

I used the station many times on my trip to Japan. I took a romance car directly to downtown Tokyo, and I used the local train to explore locally. Both were very clean, affordable, and on time. The station was clean, and even though it was busy everyone was quiet and respectful. On the 8th floor, there are many restaurants to choose from. There are many parking garages, and we always found a spot the times that we drove here. Among the many department stores and cafes on the ground level, there is also a full size grocery store. Just a level or two above the grocery store was something like an enormous Dollar store- they had lots of affordable souvenirs, clothing, and toys. It was called "Hands." I hope the local people do not take this place for granted, I cannot tell you how much I wish I had a train station like this near my house. Unfortunately, the state of Michigan does not believe in public transport haha.

Sagamihara Asamizo Park Petting Zoo is a delightful destination for families, especially kids who are eager to explore and engage with nature. This expansive park features an impressive wooden climbing structure and a spacious playground, perfect for energetic playtime. While the swings may be missed, the vast green fields invite soccer games or kite flying adventures.
Free etrance, also you can feed goats, rabbits, and sheeps. Animal food is only 100yen. Kids can ride on ponys.

Great little zoo for the kids. Free entrance and only ¥100 to feed the small critters if you like. The staff were so kind and patient. There are ponies you can ride for a small fee.
Adrelly P — Google review
Perfect family program, but check the opening times for the petting zoo area and pony riding because they have a lunch break from about 12.00 to 1.30pm.

Small size zoo but have some interesting animals and birds.
Mohammed S — Google review
My kids love this park. It has a big athletic climbing area made with wood and ropes. A nice big playground (sadly the swings were taken down), big green field for soccer or kite flying. Plus a small free "zoo" with petting area but long lines always. A good place for kids to climb and run around definitely.
Ivy — Google review
As far as parks in Japan go, this pretty close to what I expect. Large field where families have picnics and play ball games, a couple of children's play areas including an assault style course and a small zoo where kids can have a quick pony ride. The zoo is not great though, it suffers from the common affliction of zoos in Japan of big animals in small spaces. There is also a botanical garden opposite the park and a fountain which seems popular for youngsters in the hot summer months.
John D — Google review
It's free and they have monkeys! That alone should earn a visit, but they also have a space to hang out with a guinee pig on your lap, stalk chickens, and argue with goats face to face. Kids can explore and learn a bunch while having fun.

Nestled in the scenic surroundings of Sagamihara, Sagamihara-Asamizo Park is a vibrant oasis that beckons visitors with its stunning hydrangeas and diverse attractions. Families will delight in the petting zoo where children can interact with friendly animals like ponies and rabbits. The Asamizo Park Museum adds an educational twist to your visit, showcasing traditional Japanese architecture amidst lush greenery.
Very huge part consisting lots of attractions for all ages kids. There are beautiful flowers gardens, wide and green field looks like soccer one, but if fact just free playing ground, playing ground dedicated for kids aged 2-10 years old, basketball playground, small zoo where you are able to ride a pony, per rabbits, watch peacock and other birds. To be honest, we have been there 2 weeks ago for the first time and were not able to walk it all. So we plan to visit it again and again. Very recommended to families, couples and sport activity lovers.

Very nice park with plenty for the whole family to enjoy! There is a small petting zoo area and pony rides. There is a really cool area with 25 obstacle type areas that children can climb on. That area was a really big hit with the kids. There are beautiful flowers everywhere and a sprinkler area for kids to plaice cream. There is plenty of shaded areas as well as picnic tables for eating. Great parking available, bathrooms throughout, and food vendors nearby as well as vending machines with cold drinks and icecream.

Saizeriya is consistently excellent no matter which branch you visit. The food offers a delightful combination of taste and affordability, while the staff, though not overly friendly, are efficient and speedy. Additionally, Saizeriya boasts an impressive selection of inexpensive yet high-quality wines, perfect for unwinding after a long day without breaking the bank. Occasionally, you might encounter a cordial Canadian patron at one of their locations who can impart intriguing insights about traffic lights.
You must try their pudding if you like sweets. Its the cheapest restaurant chain ever I have found in Japan. Also recommend shrimp fry and unlimited drinks bar at the least price.

My go-to place for comfort food in Tokyo. The menu slightly changes each season but I always order these dishes each time. Can't get enough of karami chicken wings and pepperoncino pasta. Dumpling restaurant
Mankin Gyoza is a fantastic place to grab a quick and delicious bite. Their menu is limited, allowing them to focus on perfecting their small selection of dishes. The dumplings, although resembling mini corn dogs, are absolutely worth ordering multiple servings of. Additionally, they offer a convenient vending machine outside for takeout orders. The dumplings have a Chinese flavor profile and the menu is also available in English.
I come here for lunch pretty often and it’s always great. If anything, it’s getting even better with repetition. Don’t sleep on the medicinal gravy gyoza! They have some potent kimchi, too.
Seth S — Google review
4 types of gyoza. Must-try if you love gyoza. The mankin was really good. They gave us small dishes and one bowl had water and oil in it all the way to the outside that it also stained the bowl underneath. They didn’t even say sorry like it was normal. I mean, be careful of that though! But honestly would eat again. They have a rule though that you can only place your gyoza dine-in order once due to the volume of customers, so take note.
Bernadette G — Google review
Hands down, best dumplings I’ve had here in Japan. The dumplings here are more of a Chinese flavor. The menu is also in English. There’s paid parking next door. There was a line here when I arrived at 3:30. They opened up the second floor about 20 minutes after we arrived so we were seated right after. The staff are nice and the restaurant is kid friendly.

Mankin Gyoza is a no-nonsense, excellent spot for a quick bite to eat. The menu is small, which allows them to focus on their few dishes very well. The dumplings have the appearance of mini corn dogs, but don't let that detract you from ordering two servings worth and enjoying every bite. They also have a vending machine looking attachment outside of the restaurant that takes to-go orders. Very nice. I'll be back again!

(Translated by Google) I visited on a Sunday evening. The restaurant is spacious and there's plenty of seating. The portions are surprisingly large. The salted tongue is average, or rather standard. The salted tongue with green onions is like gyoza, with green onions wrapped in salted tongue, and unfortunately it's not tasty. The special salted tongue is average and tasty. The skirt steak is cut softly and has a nice tenderness. I ordered thin cold noodles, but they were average. All the salads are heavily seasoned. The rice isn't very good. The food is served quickly and the grill is changed at the right time. The liver is frozen and of poor quality. The tripe isn't tasty either. The service is not bad.

Aikawa Park is a stunning terraced park nestled below a dam, renowned for its breathtaking display of tens of thousands of azaleas in over 40 varieties. This multifaceted destination offers visitors an array of attractions, including a historical folk house and an engaging dinosaur museum, making it perfect for both education and entertainment.
There are playgrounds for children with trampoline and water play. Also huge space for daily picnic. Beautiful sakura and not very crowed. You can visit Miyagase dam near by. The parking fee is 500 yen / day.

Came in early October and had a great time. There is a lot of things to do for kids and adults. For kids there are well maintained playgrounds and also a train that will take you round trip to the dam. The train is fairly inexpensive at around 400 yen round trip.

Great Obstacle Course for kids aged 5 and up. Nice park I'm general, make sure to check the park map so you don't miss all the areas. Also, try to walk down to the dam for a fun little adventure.

Beautiful Park surrounded by green hills and Sagami River and Miyagase Dam...Go fast during holidays to avoid crazy traffics...Also there is a farm nearby.....You might have to pay Parking fee of ¥500 during holidays.....Its heaven ...Reminds me of Nepal 🇳🇵🇯🇵🇳🇵

Aikawa Park is a great place to have a peaceful picnic. Also, there is a good view of the Miyagase dam which is so beautiful especially during sunset. There is also a store where you ca buy some snack. But it is better to bring your own food when you are staying all day long. Currently, it is open until 5pm (when I visited last thursday 7/23). If you do not have a car, you can ride a bus from HonAtsugi Station and trave for about an hour.

Really great place to bring your family. Start with a respectful visit to the shrine, then venture to the kids park on the hill. There are so many fun things to do there - long rolling slide, rope swing rollercoaster, ninja warrior wooden course. Cool of in the park entrance artistic water pad or go through the main building to find two shallow kid pools. Perfect child bathroom to wash up and change after.

Sagamihara City Hall is a welcoming place that offers support and assistance to foreign residents. They have a consultation counter where advisors provide information in several languages, including Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, and English. Additionally, the establishment of Sagamihara International Lounge provides a space for foreign residents to access information and engage in social exchange activities. The city hall also offers free interpreter services in English and Spanish for inquiries.
Such a helpful place, they even offer interpreters in english and spanish for free to ask questions. This city hall goes above and beyond, the best one and friendliest one I have ever experienced.

This place is really a mixed bag. Some of the staff are really inflexible and lack empathy—like the younger guy who refused to allow me to renew my My Number card when a kinder official at the My Number office near the train station had stated it was possible. Others go out of their way to be helpful—like the woman who helped make sure that my visit to pick up my new card went as smoothly as possible.

Udon noodle restaurant
The udon noodle restaurant Warakado, known for its delicious and satisfying udon dishes, offers a variety of options to satisfy different tastes. The Sanuki Ten Udon is a popular choice, featuring warm and chewy noodles accompanied by a flavorful and tasty soup with a great dashi base. For those looking for something crispy, the tempura kashiwa tempura is highly recommended as it is both juicy and delectable.
(Translated by Google) The number one udon restaurant in Sagamihara in terms of popularity, taste, and atmosphere. The udon noodles have the perfect balance of being smooth and neither too hard nor too soft, so the aggressive menu items like Taiwanese mixed udon (with extra rice) are delicious and give you a pleasant feeling. Also, what's amazing about it is the tempura. Although it was served with salt, the Kashiwa tempura (chicken tempura) was the most delicious in my life. They also carry bottled beer from various brands, and this is a perfect udon restaurant no matter where you look.

Just like curry udon, most of the customers wore white aprons under their chests😳 [Number of seats] Inside the store, there are counter tables for about 10 people surrounding the kitchen in a U-shape✌️ 【nice】 Apparently, tempura and curry dishes are cooked individually in small pots after receiving an order. I arrived 20 minutes before opening and there was already one person in line. By opening time, there was already a line of over 20 people! It's quite popular! I usually make bukkake, but I wanted to enjoy the crispy fried tempura as is, so I topped the zaru udon with Sanukimori. This was my first time ordering this pattern, and it was a huge success! Sanuki-mori consists of Chikuwa tempura, Maitake tempura, and Kashiwa tempura. I ate the Chikuwa tempura with dipping sauce, but the Maitake tempura and Kashiwa tempura were served with rock salt! This is crispy and delicious (´▽`) The material is also great! This is possible. Not to mention the udon noodles. It was firm and delicious. Even with warm soba noodles, tempura is served separately, so I'd like to come back when it gets colder ✨ It was delicious this time too. (Translated by Google) I wanted to eat some delicious udon, so I decided to visit the rumored ``Shomon''. It's a popular restaurant, so I avoided lunchtime on a weekday, and when I entered the store, there were unexpectedly (excuse me) customers and there were exactly 3 seats available, so I was able to sit at the counter without having to wait. Decided to order the set menu. The food for the five customers in front of us had not yet been served, so we thought it would take a while, but then the food for five people was brought out at once. I didn't think it was strange at the time. . . Customers continued to arrive one after another, and the seven waiting seats inside were filled. "What, even at this hour, there are still customers coming..." The owner, who is boiling the udon noodles in front of the counter, is constantly checking the doneness of the udon noodles by using a timer and tasting them himself. "Thank you for waiting." The "cold udon" had a firm texture and went down easily, and the seasonings and stock were seasoned with just the right amount of seasoning. The squeeze of lemon added freshness and added an indescribable flavor. It was delicious. The ``Maitake Mushroom Mini Tendon'' was delicious, with the sweetness of the tempura sauce bringing out the flavor of the shishito and maitake mushrooms. ``Kakiage of mushrooms and kettle-fried whitebait'' had a good sweetness from the onions, went well with the mushrooms, and was a good collaboration with the kettle-fried whitebait, which I was able to enjoy with both salt and soba soup.

It was delicious anyway! I will definitely go again! I ordered a regular portion, but my wife and I both said, ``I'm glad it was a large portion.'' However, if you're so particular about the soup stock and flour, I wish you'd pay a little more attention to the bonito flakes on the plate...I don't think this is a very good dish. Also, maybe it's been a while since I've had it, but I felt like I was playing with the udon noodles. If you're going to soak the udon in water, do it, don't touch it too many times, and if it doesn't taste good after soaking it too much, throw it away...I was a little concerned because it was delicious. (Translated by Google) I visited the restaurant around 1pm on a weekday, and it wasn't particularly busy. One of the good things about sushi restaurants is that you can eat without it being noisy, even at lunchtime. There is mainly counter seating, but table seating is also available. I ordered the tekiyaki bowl (top quality lean meat), yellowtail, and eel. I'm personally working on getting in shape, so I made sure to get the necessary amount of protein and also tried to get the quality fat you get from fish. The tekiyaki bowl uses top quality lean meat, so it was very satisfying. As it was lunchtime, I didn't drink any alcohol, and the prices are reasonable for a sushi restaurant. I won't have a chance to come to Hashimoto Station for a while, but I'd like to come again at a different time. It's a little more expensive than major chain restaurants, but it wasn't particularly busy, so I was happy with it. I ordered the Edomae bowl, yellowtail, and tuna nakochi. The seafood bowl was smaller than I expected, so if you want to eat more, you can order a large portion or additional nigiri elsewhere to be satisfied. Generally, nigiri are two pieces per plate, but several types, such as the tuna nakochi I ordered, salmon roe gunkan, medium fatty tuna, fatty tuna, and snow crab, are one piece per plate. I was confused about where the receipt was, but overall I was satisfied, so I gave it five stars. I'll probably be at Hashimoto Station again, so I'd like to stop by again next time.
