Additionally, the characters seemed to be more geared towards girls, which my boys weren't very interested in during our visit.One positive aspect is that the entire park is air-conditioned, which I admired, especially since it could reach 39 degrees Celsius in Tokyo.

Came here during winter at night and it was freezing cold not all the rides are fully operational, and only limited ones are allowed for night time amusement rides. They were about three rides that are the more exhilarating ones for us to play, and mainly it seems like the light display is the main attraction and a lot of photo opportunities with the characters. The night time tickets cost a lot less than the daytime and the off-peak hours so heading there at night it's a different vibe it's a more of a romantic couple vibes & family time. The lights display were indeed very beautiful and pictures came out really well. It is also pet friendly! Unexpectedly, we really like the Paddington town where it caters to children, but us adults, we actually had a lot more fun than we thought. The parking area is really organized as the staff were ushering us to go in level by level. The later you come in, the lower the level you go, to which means you have to climb the hill longer to reach the park, which I don't mind because it's really cold and I get to exercise 😆

The perfect plan for those who like nature and enjoy walking….it’s only 1 hour outside Tokyo and a lot of things to see and eat there. We decided to take the trail 1 (the easiest) to go up and took the lift in our way down! But the cable car is also available.

A picturesque mountain peak with a variety of hiking trails to take. The views from the peak are beautiful and worth the continuous uphill struggle. Took trail 6 and it’s not for the weak. The views and changing terrains make for a stunning trek, the stretch of stairs almost killed me. In the end, a great workout immersed in nature. The temple was amazing and the different trails and roads pique curiosity. If you are not the hiking type, there’s a cable car and lift service. Will definitely be visiting the mountain more.

I went early November with its ~18°C, bring a coat for possible cold weather clouds, wind and rain. Lifts opened at 8, saw Fuji from the top at 12 (viewing spot cleared up!) and bought goshuin, goshuincho and charms at the Temple (ask politely in english and they will help you out). Overall Time spent: over 1 hour commute from Shinjuku each and around 4 hours taking it all in. With Koyo its popular, come early.

Worth making the small trek to from Tokyo. Took us about an hour and a half to get here from Kyobashi Station. We lucked out and got great views of Mount Fuji when we got to the top. That alone made the trip worth it.

Nice place for hiking, my advice for traveler is climb up the mountain by foot then take the cable car down because the trail is very steep and it will hurt your knees, please be careful.

Came on a sunny Sunday afternoon with my kids to hunt for beetles, saw on Google maps it was quite bushy thinking it would be a great spot to find many bugs and things but we ended up finding out this is more of a hiking location and we ended up hiking for 3 hours. It's a decent size mountain with numerous hiking trails - some quite steep trails and some very narrow roads with step drops on both side which was quite scary especially with kids. They have a little park kids can play and a flat area where you can lay a tent and enjoy nature. If your into hike it's also a great place to visit.

Fantastic park. Has a great play area for kids and lots of mellow trails to walk around. We went during peak Sakura season and it was absolutely gorgeous, with 80% fewer people than you'd get in Tokyo. There are several free parking lots run by the park in the area too.

I really enjoyed visiting Miyagase Lakeside Park. The view of the lake is beautiful and the walking paths are wide and easy to follow. Parking is available nearby (around 500–800 yen), and there are also clean toilets including ones for people with disabilities, which is very convenient. Entrance to the park is free, but if you come during special events like the Christmas illumination, there may be some small ticket charges. The place is stroller and wheelchair friendly in most areas, though some slopes are a bit tiring. Barbecues and open flames are not allowed, and some areas don’t allow pets, so keep that in mind. I arrived at 9:15 am after bicycling here from Itabashi-ku over the Ohdarumi Pass on Route 20. I was delighted to find soft-boiled eggs on the menu as they go with natto and rice perfectly. Standard breakfast menu otherwise though well done. I remarked to the young man at the register on how very clean this Gusto was: table, drink bar and rest rooms. Granted it had opened 15 minutes before... But the wait staff were cleaning when not serving customers: a sure sign of good management.

Visiting from the USA must say that i am very impressed with this mall all the amenities of home and then some. If you are looking to visit Japan any time and going to be in this area no need to pack everything just buy when you get here. You will not be disappointed. With many other shopping malls within walking distance you will certainly find anything you need with prices comparable to home in the U.S.. Also many selections of dining options, plus a fully furnished grocery store your sure to not go hungry

Great pick for kids, with an old D52 steam locomotive (very famous in Japan) and lots of activities. The best thing is a mini area for bikes and other vehicles, with traffic lights and pedestrian walks for kids to learn about safety. We had a blast!

Free bicycle and toy car rides for the kids until 16:30 in the summer (16:00 in the winter)! Awesome! And there is an ice cream vending machine in it too. Plus free parking, a pond, a smoking space and a playground for kids

Aikawa Park is a great place to have a peaceful picnic. Also, there is a good view of the Miyagase dam which is so beautiful especially during sunset. There is also a store where you ca buy some snack. But it is better to bring your own food when you are staying all day long. Currently, it is open until 5pm (when I visited last thursday 7/23). If you do not have a car, you can ride a bus from HonAtsugi Station and trave for about an hour.

Really great place to bring your family. Start with a respectful visit to the shrine, then venture to the kids park on the hill. There are so many fun things to do there - long rolling slide, rope swing rollercoaster, ninja warrior wooden course. Cool of in the park entrance artistic water pad or go through the main building to find two shallow kid pools. Perfect child bathroom to wash up and change after.
