Home goods store
Art supply store
Department store
Chain retailer selling home, garden & leisure products, including furniture & kitchen equipment.
This shop is relatively cheap and has loads of different goodies. Be careful about the parking. It's only 2 hrs which goes by quickly if visiting the cafe also. Before you get to 2 hours you can go to customer services to extend the time. As you can see by the photos, I never saw a single person, except by the cash till. April 2023

Wouldn't bother. Rude woman at the checkout. Both items I went to purchase were the wrong price I questioned it and she was beyond rude, grunting and scowling at me and then started to kick off to the staff next to her that customers were not queuing properly. I said forget it, my custom is better elsewhere...she continued grunting and pulling her face because she had to put the items back...maybe next time check your prices. Anyway I went home bargains got what I wanted for half the pricer in a much cleaner shop and very very nice staff.
Lucy S — Google review
Visited the Range SOT this afternoon, arriving at the till there was a queue filling the waiting aisle whilst 2 checkouts where manned. 4 members of staff where hovering around the service desk, i asked if it was possible to pay for my 1 item there. I was told i had to queue. One of the 4 at the service desk put out an obviously overdue tannoy for all staff to checkouts. Nobody responded to this call. Eventually 1 of the 4 went & manned another checkout. I asked to speak to the manager & was asked which one, i replied the one in charge & why were they not assisting the checkouts. The reply was they are short staffed & management are not able to work checkouts they are security. One had stood hands in pockets for the entire time & had even wandered outside with another member of staff whilst the people had waited to be served. In my experience managers are there to manage not stand around chatting with a total disregard to the customers. Unacceptable service
Kdg24v G — Google review
The Range is not as good as it was several years ago, on my last visit the floors needed sweeping all over and parts of the flooring were held down with tatty black tape. There used to be a really good Manager here who kept everything tip top. It used to be my favourite shop.
Claire Ģ — Google review
Very good choice of things to purchase at reasonable prices. Also a cafe on site with a choice of panini sandwiches and breakfast items. A small array of Iceland items are also on site so very good for Friday night takeaway treats curries pizzas chicken etc. all in all well worth a visit toilets are also available on site and free parking 🅿️ ( max 2 hours)!!

If I could give 0 star I would. I've brought 2 hot tubs in less than 2 years, last one was 2 weeks over 6 months old had 12months warranty but won't replace/refund unless I pay for independent VAT report to state it's not our fault why water coming out vent holes and E3 & E5. It's been sent to main manufacturers to try getting repaired they can't repair over 5 months of them sending broken units out to us fobbing us off they told us they would send us the VAT report with a full breakdown..then I'm told they will no longer help as the don't help with RIO hot tubs anymore and haven't for months..yet have been apparently fixing ours.. Over 120 emails to wave. 15 emails to range support who are rude and give generated same response I'm told it's got to go in writing.. however it's now past the 12 month guarantee as it's been going on so long so I know we won't get anything back once again.. £800 in 2 years no wonder the company makes a killing
Amanda F — Google review
A huge store with an impressive amount of stock of pretty much everything you need to decorate and fill your home. Goods are all on ground floor wide uncluttered aisles. Also a large 'Iceland food section inside. You could spend hours maybe all day there. Large carpark but strangely - limited time - i think its 2 hours - so be careful about overstaying as you will be fined. I cant imagine anyone wanting to park their car there and leaving it for hours as theres nowhere else nearby to walk to or shop at or work at. Located just off the A500 its easy to get to. I heard that 'The Range' has bought some of the properties that were 'Homebase' which closed ALL of its stores some months ago
Goldbargurl — Google review
Great store with loads of home furnishings , gift ideas and also a small food section. I was very happy with my purchases however the food in the cafe was very poor. Cooked breakfast ... Cheap sausages and awful hash brown, basic baked beans and fatty bacon and the toast tasted like it was not fresh bread. I won't be eating there again. Shopping experience great, food nasty. The tables are cleaned but there was lumps of food on the floor under the table. ( possibly were the last person spat it out in horror)

Located in Wigan, the Three Sisters Race Circuit is a top outdoor race circuit in the Northwest. Visitors can choose from a variety of cars to drive, including Porsche, Nissan GT6, Ford Mustang, Lotus Cortina, Dodge Challenger, Aston Martin, and even police cars.
Drift league GB did not disappoint! And neither did three sisters! What a great venue, staff was bang on, the place is tidy and well looked after! The atmosphere was great! Walking around the pits talking to the drivers and teams was great! The Facilities are good! The Portaloos were the cleanest ones I've ever been in. The cafe was ok & so was the bar - there could be a better selection of drinks i guess but other than that what a great family day out! Well be back for sure!

Excellent experience from start to finish. The only let down was the prices for photo packages as always I believe if they were more reasonable people would buy them but 54 pounds for 2 videos and photos they had a buy one photo for 19.99 but that's not encouraging seemed extreme if all of those customers brought them there photographers daily rate was more than a lawyer 😉 😀 but it didn't effect our day whatsoever son had the best time and we will 100% be back
Sarah A — Google review
Came here for first time yesterday as was looking for something to do a little different . Came across a drifting day event so went over ...entry was £5 each and was a good day . Facilities are toilets bar and cafe ...food all looked good and reasonbly priced...would come again for sure . Only advice is bring your own camp chair or blanket ...people brought there own food and drink aswell if you are on a budget

Took my son to three sisters race circuit, you have to pay £2 parking on your way in, there is a bar for drinks and food, my son had 6 laps in the bat mobile but for some reason only had 3, so I went and spoke to the lovely lady who signed us in and she sorted and he got to do 3 laps in a subaru which he absolutely loved driving. Was very busy there. You get to get pictures and videos of your driving, not cheap but worth it, to keep as memories. Highly recommend.
Katrina V — Google review
Cracking track for the little 125s and well looked after . Nice little bar, pits n paddock area was a little cramped due to so many competitors for our event , too many none race vehicles wanting to park next to friends who were racing . We were hemmed in on all sides , could only just get the bike through to the track, there is actually plenty of parking for none race vehicles, it just needed some sort of control who parked where. Apart from that one niggle it was spot on .

Felt a bit ripped off here, paid for 2 experiences for my daughter, and my 10 year old grandson. Done them before, but always had an option to buy the colision waiver, not here! You HAVE to buy it, or provide a credit card with a £5k limit on it. So adding to the cost of the 2 vouchers was a further £70+, then a further £10 for training. So bargain experiences, became an expensive one. They both enjoyed the well organised day and I'm glad I took my camera, to avoid the high cost of a momento. (Make sure you give the lanyards and memory card back, or there's a further £80 charge)
John H — Google review
I still love this place the Tuesday bike track evening are brilliant. Just turn up hoof round and smile. There are always a couple of good photographers around to make you look cool.
Marcus P — Google review
My son had the BEST time in n the police interceptor car. I'm really glad we got there earlier, because we were only number 3 in the queue, any later and we would have been there for much longer. It was chucking it down with rain and there is limited shelter to view the person driving, so I stood in the rain. We booked using a Virgin Experiences voucher, but on the day ended up spending at extra £71!! Make sure you save up before the day in expectation of this. Overall, he had a great time, but for 3 laps of a track, over £100 including our travel and ending up really soggy, I don't think it's worth it.

The Grand Arcade Shopping Centre in Wigan offers a wide range of well-known brand-name stores for clothing, jewelry, books, and more. The town center is easily accessible with excellent parking and two nearby railway stations. Visitors can explore the Tudor-clad Standishgate and the Edwardian red brick Market Street for premier retail options. Additionally, there are contemporary shopping centers and traditional indoor and outdoor markets to enjoy.
Lovely venue. Staff are really helpful and friendly A must visit.

a great shopping center, I recommend it. prepared very well for Christmas. on the first floor, who loves books, there is a huge bookstore, on the second floor there is a good cafe with delicious coffee and delicious food. it is now my favorite shopping center in Wigan
Mariana H — Google review
Looks a bit tired. Car park gloomy and doors to shopping centre closed. You have to walk around the outside and down a dark entry. Didn't feel safe down there. Doors need to be opened again!!!
John H — Google review
As the High Street continues its long, slow death, several large units formerly occupied by anchor tenants no longer trading lie empty. Maybe a great place to fill with cinemas and restaurants.

Site of the old Wigan Casino and home to a very good George Formby statue. Really nice Shopping Centre with free toilets and it was kept very clean.

Big shopping centre with all amenities in great shops arcades and toilets and cafes. Good size parking with reasonable prices for a town centre.

Quite sad these days with markses, H&m, Next, TopShop, Debenhams all gone. Still has new look, Clarks, Superdrug, Waterstones. For now! Even the Costa has shut. Still, it's the nearest Waterstones and the muffin break is good for a cuppa. I park here if I am going to the primark, also our nearest. Frankly if the shops mentioned opened in robin park I'd never go into wigan centre at all.

Makinson Arcade

Shopping mall
Makinson Arcade is a charming shopping destination with a variety of stores including JD, Sports Direct, Poundland, and Bubble T. The arcade also features a food area for dining with family and friends, ample parking space, and clean facilities. It hosts entertaining events during seasonal occasions and houses unique shops like Funky Figures offering statues and Diorama. While some beloved shops have disappeared over time, it remains one of the oldest yet original parts of town where visitors can enjoy a cup of coffee.
A little dated as extensive redevelopment work is being carried out on the exterior but once completed in a few years I'm hoping this will make the place vibrant and welcoming once again for the people of Wigan
Adam W — Google review
Nice, busy Market, indoor and outdoor, a few empty stalls, but it was a Thursday. It's got everything you want, go look. Wigan is a nice town with a lot of heritage. Good transport links right in the town centre

Best Cafe Nero I've ever been in. The staff are a happy bunch who obviously love their job and each other. Brilliant service from them as well. They always remember my large cappuccino with soya, even though I'm only an occasional visitor. Keep up the good work.
Edgar B — Google review
The employees' behavior is not nice at all and they do not listen to people... We had a child with us and they did not listen even though we informed them that they have dog phobia. Also, the employees are not good at cleaning, they play with the animals that come in and prepare drinks for us with their dirty hands.
Haifa A — Google review
I come here most days. The staff are lovely but unfortunately the prices are creeping up and my usual hot chocolate occasionally tastes like hot water

Nice little neros coffee shop, staff are friendly and helpful good selection of hot and cold drinks available along with a limited selection of snacks and sandwiches warm and cold.

The female barrister in the shop is so rude and the customer service is extremely poor. I got a QR code redemption for a drink and she just refused the service and said they don’t provide the service. The code have worked in all other Cafe Nero shops, it’s so ridiculous.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful dining experience, look no further than Mr English Traditional Fish & Chips. This charming chip shop offers a cozy atmosphere where friendly staff make you feel right at home. The service is impressively quick, ensuring that you won't be left waiting long for your meal. The menu features generous portions of classic fish and chips that are sure to satisfy any craving for comfort food.
Best fish and chips in the area. Great friendly staff. Always laughing and smiling. They really look after you. Amazing customer service. Food is always fresh. The haddock is the best!

Best fish and chips I’ve had! Staff are super friendly!
Lucy R — Google review
An excellent fish and chip shop with cafe and good seating area. I had chicken tikka with half chips, half rice and was piping hot with a good cup of hot coffee. Excellent staff, great customer service and answered all my questions I had Highly recommended 👍
James — Google review
The chips were very under cooked and the curry sauce hardly had any flavour. The lady who served us was lovely though
Thomas H — Google review
Popped in for some dinner with my son. It wasn’t busy at the time eating in, so we managed to get served quickly. If you're looking for a place to carb-load before your next marathon, or simply indulge in some comfort food, then look no further than this chip shop. And let me tell you, they take their chips seriously here. So seriously, in fact, that I half-expected to see a Michelin-starred chef emerge from the kitchen, brandishing a golden fryer and barking orders at a team of sous-chefs. But in all seriousness, the chips here are top-notch. Golden and crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. They're the kind of chips that make you forget all your troubles and embrace the simple pleasures in life. Like, say, dipping them in ketchup and making silly faces at your dining companion. All in all, this chip shop is a solid choice for anyone in need of some carb-heavy sustenance. The food was very nice and great service too. 👍👍 Bon appétit!

I was looking forward to this visit. Decided to eat in, not a bad little eating area. Chose the Fish meal deal Fish, chips and peas and a 330 ml can for £11, treated myself to a side of fruity curry. Chips were ok, looked anaemic, but ok, peas were ok, the fish on top looked nice, turn it over thick crusty batter and hollow in parts. Bit tasteless also. Fruity curry was nice. Friday PM
