The Blackpool Tower

4.5
(18035)
The Blackpool Tower is an iconic Victorian structure that has been a central part of the seaside resort's history. Alongside other notable buildings like the Winter Gardens and Pleasure Beach, it has contributed to Blackpool's popularity as a holiday destination. The Tower features attractions such as the Tower Ballroom, Circus, and the thrilling SKYWALK offering panoramic views of the North West of England.
So much better than I thought. The 4D cinema was great. Staff were lovely! All explaining and answering any questions we had. We're a big group of 14 but it was never an issue. The views were great. Wish id set aside more time for here!
Kelly O — Google review
Fantastic experience all round. Loved the 4D experience and reading the history behind it, as you walk to the 4D and lift to go up. All staff were more than friendly and the views were phenomenal 😊 only bad thing was that the engineers were late to test the lift and we couldn't go at our normal time, as it needed work doing to it. We then had to rebook. We were only here for the night so had many more things booked but thankfully, they had a slot much later in the day.
Lyndsey R — Google review
I last went up the Tower sixty years ago this month, so it was a very emotional and poignant treat. I LOVED the viewing platform, last experienced on the Skywalk at the Grand Canyon near Las Vegas on our honeymoon. Great photo opportunities at the top of the tower, but I was sorry I didn't have time to read the boards depicting the fascinating history of the Tower. Loved the quirky beachhut themed loos!

Fun days out here over the weekend. The multi attraction ticket is great value and you can easily spend 2-3 days enjoying the tower and sights. The weather wasn't great so we sheltered in the Ballroom for a couple of hours and it's a very comfortable, pleasant way to chill and pass time, watching the dancers and enjoying the atmosphere. The circus was as great as ever and the kids really enjoyed it, the water finale seems to be a bit lackluster compared to times gone by though sadly. - make sure you queue up at least 45 mins before your timeslot to get a good seat. The tower eye had great views and helpful staff on the elevator - but it took us nearly an hour to get up there in the queue which was a bit of a drag. The dungeon was brilliant, wonderful actors and amazing atmosphere - really enjoyed this attraction and the people running it should be proud.
Adam T — Google review
Had a great time at Blackpool Tower! We did the 4D cinema and then the Skywalk — the views were absolutely amazing. The staff were really nice too. Honestly, it’s a must-try experience at least once. Standing that high up and looking out over the city was incredible. I’d definitely recommend it! Tip: book your tickets online to save time and make the whole visit smoother
Warda B — Google review
I've not been up Blackpool tower in years, so I took my 2 youngest to sample the tower 😂 All the levels at the top were open so we were able to get as high as possible. I wouldn't have minded a look from the crows tower, but that's not allowed 😂 It's a simple experience, but great to jump on the glass floor looking down 😂 then you can navigate the spiral staircases up to the open tops 👌 Great views and an experience. Not too costly, but a definite attraction to visit when at Blackpool! We did Dino mini golf afterwards, again cheap, only 9 holes, but worth a go. Thanks Blackpool! 😊👍
Steven L — Google review
Very smooth process when you purchase tickets in advance, upon arrival our tickets were scanned. 4D experience was great really enjoyed something different. Absolutely loved our trip up the tower fantastic views of Blackpool and famous landmarks. Would recommend.
John G — Google review
Fantastic attraction. Loved the views from the top and the glass floor area. Bar at the top was great too. Simple selection of drinks but a nice touch to have a pint at the top of the tower. Before you get to the top you get a photo taken bit on the pricey side bit still a nice memory. The 4d experience was really good and would recomend placing yourself somewhere near the middle to get the full experience. Lifts were what you would expect from an attraction over 100 years old. Slow... But it's worth it when you get to the top. They should offer a better option to view the whole of the tower experience. The ball room was closed for a private event when we visited. Great place to visit for the whole family.

The Blackpool Tower Dungeon

4.6
(2416)
The Blackpool Tower Dungeon offers a chilling experience with costumed actors presenting 10 terrifying shows that recount scary stories from the country's past. Visitors can also take advantage of the Pick N Mix pass, which allows access to eight attractions including The Blackpool Tower Dungeon. This historical attraction provides an immersive journey into Blackpool's gruesome past, featuring local icons like the Pendle Witches and a well-trained torturer.
Wow! So impressed! We were one of the last groups to go through on a Sunday afternoon (6/7/25 at 4pm) and we had such an amazing time. FIRST AND FOREMOST: The actors are absolutely incredible, so dedicated, incredibly talented and absolutely sharp and witty in interactions with guests, i cannot send enough compliments; whatever they are being paid, it needs to be more. There also really needs to be some kind of function available for customers to leave tips for the cast at the end of the experience. They were all absolutely exceptional. The experience itself is insane value, nearly everyone (willing) in our group got "picked on" and brought into the story and these interactions were hilariously crude. The sets and props and smells and other sensory events throughout the dungeon are super immersive and the whole experience felt very personal and thoughtful. I love the London Dungeon but this just felt much more special. If you are visiting Blackpool, you absolutely need to visit here. Huge thanks and applause to all the staff.
Boregard C — Google review
pre booked and arrived on time. still took nearly 1 hour to eventually get up the tower! disorganised and wasted alot of time being kept waiting at the various 'hold' points !! needs better management and reduction in waiting times
Matt H — Google review
Excellent day out with the family. Very informative and entertaining with a few jump scares thrown in for good measure. I enjoyed the interactive parts of the show but didn't appreciate being made to apologise in court for being a bishop basher 🤣 (jokes- iykyk). Great effort to all.
Topher ( — Google review
Fun experience! No photos of the inside due to no talkie devices being allowed which is understandable as it would spoil the fun if you knew what you're about to endure! The kids enjoyed it although nervous in some parts however we found the actors were aware of the kids being there and left them be and chose other adults to participate. I needed the toilet during this experience and upon asking an actor they took me to them and brought me back into the next room where I was able to participate again... cannot thank the staff enough for being accommodating for this. Would highly recommend for a good laugh and a little scare! The ride at the end was fun and we came into a gift shop/bar where we had some down time after a thrilling experience!!!

This was hilariously funny but also intense. It was such an odd feeling of being scared out your wits but also finding it funny. Fantastic place. The actors and actresses were amazing, have to give them credit, great job done. Loved the whole thing. It's a must visit.
Lyndsey R — Google review
Great fun. The actors are awesome and it’s a fun experience. The drop ride is great, too. I feel the way it is done up inside is really good with the smells and special effects. Some people had kid who were 6-8 years old and they were fine.
Rebecca O — Google review
Overall pleasant visit. The actors were fantastic and got everyone involved which was good and it was interesting to learn about the historical aspect. I did find that along with the immersive experience there was a rather unpleasant scent that seemed to stay with you even after leaving the dungeon. I also felt that the group was too big for the space and at times there wasn’t enough space for everyone to sit.
Olivia L — Google review
Only paid £10 each, although there's a sign saying £19 each. Actors are very good, at times it's scary and funny. The end bit is good. Wheelchair friendly.

The Grand Theatre Blackpool is a beautifully restored Victorian theater that hosts a variety of performances including plays, musicals, dance, comedy, and variety shows. It holds significant historical and architectural importance in Blackpool as it was designed by renowned Victorian theatre architect Frank Matcham and opened in 1894. The construction of the theater was financed by local theater manager Thomas Sergenson with the vision of creating the most beautiful theater in the land.
Thoroughly enjoyed our night out at the Grand such a beautiful building. Lovely helpful staff. The Rave on show was fantastic and beyond our expectations. We will definitely visit this Theatre again soon.
Jackie G — Google review
I've been to see so many enjoyable plays, musicals, ballets and operas at this beautiful Victorian theatre over the years! The most recent plays I've seen (An Inspector Calls, Little Women, and Shirley Valentine), were all brilliantly performed by a great cast, with imaginative effects and scenery. They were all well attended too. Fantastic view from both the dress circle and the stalls, not only of the stage, but also of the glorious painted ceiling, ornate gilded plasterwork and chandeliers. The auditorium is magnificent but, because it is smaller than those of a lot of other theatres, it has a cosy and intimate atmosphere that they don't have. Leg room on the front row of the dress circle might be a bit restricted if you are tall, but the seats are really comfortable (and wide). The staff and volunteers have always been very welcoming. There's an upstairs bar with a friendly barman and a good selection of drinks, and you can pre-order your interval drinks when you arrive at the theatre. They sell lovely good quality ice-cream as well - the chocolate chip flavour is to die for! If you get the chance, I also recommend doing one of the theatre tours run by volunteers; you not only get to see the backstage areas, but you also learn a lot about the Grand's history. Will definitely keep coming back!

I went to the Grand Theatre in Blackpool last week for the first time to see a show. Grease the musical was absolutely amazing with brilliant actors and actresses along with wonderful music. Also outstanding choreography demonstrated throughout the whole performance to a very high standard. The main painted ceiling of the Grand Theatre in Blackpool is also very stunning and well worth seeing. In all a brilliant show and very well priced tickets for this particular show. I would most definitely recommend this show and theatre to anybody who is visiting Blackpool or the surrounding area.

Beautiful looking theatre. I took my wife and kids to watch Cinderella pantomime. Staff was lovely, show was amazing Drove up from Kent and spent the weekend in Blackpool and went here for one evening. Very nice building

Here to see a show but wow'd by the architecture. Such a beautiful place. Kind of wish I was on the balcony instead of ground floor too see more of it. Show was fab, seats a tad hard, if you have any kind of comfort issues, take a cushion. Otherwise had a brilliant evening.
Michelle V — Google review
This venue is an outstandingly beautiful theatre, I have not been here many time but have had the privilege to see areas in the building I could ever have imagined I would get to see. Have been to many theatres in London where I am originally from but this place to me is extremely special, has so many years of history, performances, acts and artist, it is really quite something else. The architecture inside and out is also to be admired, beautiful building. Top Recommendation, definitely go see a show!
Benjamin D — Google review
Fantastic theatre - kept close to the original features this fab theatre is so lovely and a perfect place for a show.
Richard L — Google review
Such a lovely, beautiful theatre with feasts for the eyes everywhere you look! The staff were friendly, it's easy to find in a great location, and the drinks are very reasonably priced. The only thing I found was the seating structure was so strange, why are all the even numbers on one side & all the odds on the other?! There has to be a reason, but I've never seen this before and it was a bit weird 😅 I'd be interested to learn if there's a reason! Otherwise it's a gorgeous building & the theatre itself is a small slice of magnificence.

Coral Island in Blackpool is the largest indoor family-friendly attraction, perfect for a day of fun when the weather isn't cooperating. This pirate-themed amusement arcade offers a variety of games and rides for all ages, from classic arcade games to thrilling experiences like the Pirate Quest ghost train and Pirate Flyer monorail. Adults can also enjoy slot machines, casino games, and prize bingo. With free admission, it's a budget-friendly option with dining options available as well.
We had a great family day out! Love the new Coral Island cards for amusements and games, easy to use even for the kids. Lots of variety of games, our faves were Camel Derby, The monopoly game & Nerf game! Lots of games priced at just £1, good value. Kids loved the rides, especially new Sky rider. We stopped for lunch at the Harbour bar. Staff were so friendly, clean & comfy seating. Kids eat FREE which is amazing, typical kids portion size & hot & tasty mini fish & chips. Our adult meals were delicious. Pizza was a great size, nice base! Roast chicken was so juicy. Highly recommend for a fun family day out.

The best arcade I’ve ever been to! This place is absolutely amazing from the decorations both inside and out, everything looks fantastic. It’s definitely the best arcade in Blackpool! One of my favorite parts was the Tom & Jerry air hockey table it was so much fun! I had never seen one like it before. It has special exits where the puck randomly comes out, and suddenly more pucks start appearing, so you have to be super fast. Such a fun and unique experience!

Been coming here since I was a kid and now I bring my own. First place we always come to when on a day trip here. It’s got everything for kids. Ghost train is a must!
C M — Google review
Large indoor family amusement centre incorporating a huge amusement arcade, children’s rides, a ghost train, a cafe, a bar/restaurant and a casino. Meals in restaurant are very generous sized portions at reasonable prices. Have eaten there a couple of times and would recommend.
David K — Google review
Loved the arcades as a child so visited twice! Obviously far more expensive these days! But you can buy a ‘card’ which means you don’t need pockets full of change. Some machines however, took money from your card and then didn’t work. We think we lost about £5 like this which was disappointing. But a good range of games to play. Never saw anyone win on the soft toy grabs ~ good fixes prevent this but would have loved a win for the first time in my LIFE!!! Only disappointing thing was my friend put their Ray Ban sunglasses down to play basketball and they were taken. We asked but they weren’t handed in. So watch your valuables. Disappointing end to our visit. Also annoying was that on Saturday evening the machines were just switched off at closing time without any warning. We had just put £2 on a shooting game so that was lost! They need to start informing people 15 minutes beforehand. Not on to be honest.
Elviera L — Google review
We visited the Thursday before Armed Forces Day. The management team put on a free meal for veterans and serving members of the forces. They put on an amazing cavery and you get a free drink on arrival. The staff in the Buccaneer restaurant are very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.
Dave M — Google review
I had a good time here, there was a loads of machines to use on offer and above all you could pay with your card instead of having to always find a machine to change your cash for coins and even smaller denominators. Staff where visible when you need them, very supportive when needed. Most of the games where easy to follow and enjoyable for everyone, as sometimes the young family members are not keen on losing. Make sure you win lots of games to make the prizes worth while, if your an adult.
Mark N — Google review
Coral Island is mediocre, to put it mildly. But the food and the fact you can purchase the toys in the grabber with money boosts my rating to a four. If you want to know the best arcade game- the four in a row ball game near the Ticket Eaters gave me 500 tickets with three pounds. Most of the others things are scams, my stepdad won my sister a toy unicorn after fifteen pounds and 60 attempts. The food was average- nachos were a generous portion but the Peri Peri chicken was dry. As my two younger sisters, 9 and 4 years old, ordered their meals, the waiter sternly asked their age for the “Kids Eat Free” deal. Do not even try to push the age limit of 10 and under, you will be rejected. My food- chicken wings- came in eights with a delicious barbecue sauce on the side. The pirate theme and atmosphere got boring after I went on the coaster boat ride that included a section with old drawings and a 2010s feel. Nothing on that ride is new. 3.5 stars, I had to round it up, but overall I’d recommend.

The Winter Gardens has been recognized for its architectural and historic significance, contributing to the town's appeal to both residents and visitors.
I’ve been to a fair few events and shows here over the years. And been involved in the stage shows since a little girl! Nostalgia and lots of happy childhood memories. Enjoy attending the theatre shows. A few highlights over the years I have left in the photos! ❤️♥️🌺

Did the Venue Tour on Wednesday. Guide was so informative and engaged. Really enjoyed seeing round the complex and hearing about its history. We finished the tour with optional Afternoon Tea which was really nice. Would highly recommend this tour.

Once you are inside this is a great venue, full of history. Great views of the entertainment and comfortable seating. The exterior could do with a lick of paint but the real letdown is the surrounding area (not the fault of the venue of course!), not a nice location to walk through to get there but don't let that put you off!

Lovely old venue but just some notes. Watched BGT auditions and we were sat in the circle - no view of the Judges or Judges table from row G where we were seated unless we stood up. The sound from all microphones was particularly muffled/low. Only 5 ladies toilets 100s of seats so always at least a 10 mins wait at a time, plus there are 5 steps inside the ladies toilets to go up before reaching the toilet stalls.

Although they have an accessable lift from the hounds hill entrance. The door is always locked making it inaccessible. I have completed to the council several times about this issue and it is never addressed just excuses. Although you can gain accessable access by waking around the building there is no information available to the casual visitor. It also makes access difficult considering that they have lift access available, but it can't be accepted because the council don't care about their legal obligations under the equality act of 2010. And just make excuses

Fish and chips takeaway
Fish and seafood restaurant
The Cottage • Licensed Fish & Chip Restaurant & Takeaway is a renowned dining spot in Blackpool, known for serving the best fish and chips in town. The restaurant sources fresh fish daily from Fleetwood and offers a wide range of specials, including turbot, catfish, skate, and local calamari. With a history dating back to 1920, it has become one of the top places to enjoy traditional fish and chips in this historic seaside resort.
A most excellent chippy and back to its former glory it seems. Fish was fresh nicely battered and a good size, chips were lovely and hot and curry sauce very tasty. My wife had scampi and chips which were also good. We ate in and sat oppsite the log burner which was roaring and hot and just what was needed on a grim January Friday evening to warm your feet. Let’s not forget the friendly staff especially Chloe our waitress who was magnificent and made us feel very welcome. Overall very much improved from previous years where at one time you were hard pushed to get your tea home 2 streets away and it still be warm and edible.

The reputation of the cottage goes back years. We wanted to see ithe place still holds its original appeal. It was lovely to see the photos of many of their previous famous customers. Although I am not sure the younger customers would know who most of them are. Staff extremely friendly. Wine and beer reasonably priced. Prompt service. Food was excellent. Piping hot. Batter was crisp. Chips were plentiful and tasty. Staff were attentive throughout. I would highly recommend. If you have not been for a while and you are just not sure, I would give it a go. If you have never been, it's definitely worth a visit. We will be back.

ABSOLUTELY OUT OF THIS WORLD! The best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten. I’ve come a few times now and it’s always the same it’s always amazing. The staff could not be any friendlier and extremely helpful. The food is beautiful as well. A million stars as five just isn’t enough ⭐️

I never used to be a big fan of fish and chips, but I’ve been here several times this year and each visit has been fantastic. The food looks great and tastes absolutely delicious! The quality of food and the warm, welcoming service have completely won me over. I totally recommend this place. It is a real hidden gem.

It was a perfect end to a day in Blackpool, bringing back family memories from years gone by although the restaurant has been beautifully extended, updated whilst maintaining its character. The fish, chips , cooked to taste (light batter)etc were absolutely fantastic, cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced (£34, fish chips mushy peas curry wine and water fir two people), definately worth a visit. A special mention for Daniel the waiter, whose naturally friendly and welcoming approach was very much appreciated and enjoyed. He is a natural and a real asset to Cod Cottage. Thank you all for a wonderful meal and trip down memory lane.

Blackpool Zoo is a 32-acre woodland zoo that offers a unique experience to visitors. It houses a variety of animals including big cats, gorillas, and elephants. The zoo also provides train tours and offers discounts for members. In addition to the zoo, Blackpool has plenty of attractions such as the iconic Blackpool Tower, Pleasure Beach Resort, three piers, Winter Gardens, and Grand Theatre.
Fantastic afternoon out with the wife, lovely and quiet (early Oct visit). My wife went round in her mobility scooter and she found it easy to get round. Very accessable into all the enclosures. All the animals are well looked after and nice to see ongoing improvements around the zoo. Looking forward to returning next year with our grandson

10/10 brilliant day out. We spent about 4 hours here. Loads to see, lots of animals. We even saw the baby elephant too. Food was handsome bit quite pricey, we bought online lunch tickets so turned out a bit cheaper. Take your walking shoes though.
Kelly F — Google review
Great zoo, lots of animals to see, and enclosures are well designed to allow outdoor and indoor viewing. It was quite cold and wet when we went, but we were still able to see all of the animals even if they were sheltering inside. We were told that a baby elephant had been born very recently and were really lucky to be able to see her in the afternoon when it was quieter. Lots of maps and well signposted so you can easily see where each animal habit is located. Quite a bit of expansion and improvement work on some of the enclosures (giraffes, wolves) so some areas were closed off, but still plenty of places to see those animals. Only seemed to be one main food area on the site, which got very busy because of the weather. Lots of picnic benches but very few under cover. I think there are a few other little food and coffee booths but they were closed when we went past them. Halloween theme for Half Term, lots of skeletons and spider webs added to the trees and walkways, clearly a lot of effort made to create the atmosphere, was a lot of fun trying to spot the little things that had been hidden away. Wizard themed event trail for the kids to follow. We had paid for tickets through a promotion at our hotel, but there was only a separate queue for members, everyone else waited in the same line so no apparent advantage for pre-booking online.
Steve E — Google review
Really fantastic zoo, went in with lower expectations as have enjoyed some of the larger zoos in the UK, however this one packs souch in while remaining fairly small to walk around (which is a huge plus, especially with kids!). Good range of different animals, the gorillas and the baby orangutan especially were great to see. Big plus that the restaurant has decent options plus a Subway inside so you're well served for a quick lunch too.

Hand down my favourite zoo! Clean, fantastic range of species and great layout. Absolutely amazing and a great day out. Only just managed to see it all in a day but had to rush near the end end. Will definitely be going back!
Chris A — Google review
A great place to visit, just the right size, so you can spend quality time with each exhibit. Loved seeing the baby elephant, amazing. Each enclosure looks well looked after & new things going on. The only thing which I would like to see is somewhere enclosed for people who brought packed lunches, it was raining at lunchtime when we went & not any dry places to sit & eat. The zoo is good value & great if you have Tesco points to swap. Would recommend a visit to this lovely zoo.
Helen D — Google review
This is a smaller zoo that is making big improvements to the animal enclosures. Membership is reasonable and visited October during wizarding and Halloween activities. The staff are friendly except staff member on train who was making it clear he wasn't happy with the train not working correctly. The tigers are beautiful and recent baby elephant is worth the trip alone!!
Rachael G — Google review
Brilliant zoo. The elephant house currently has reduced opening hours to support the wellbeing of the new baby. Loved the Halloween pop up shop and quest. Can get busy but there is ample parking and once inside there is enough space to not feel busy. Beware of seagulls trying to steal your bucket of chips!

Stanley Park is a sprawling municipal park in Blackpool, offering a range of activities for visitors. The park features an adventure playground for kids, sports pitches, a BMX race track, and an art deco cafe. It's known for its flat terrain, making it perfect for cycling. Blackpool has invested in bike lanes and offers a rental scheme for both locals and tourists. Stanley Park spans 256 acres with woodlands, lakes, ornamental gardens, and impressive architecture.
Such a lovely park. Plenty of different areas, lovely to walk around with or without dogs. Lots of different paths, park never feels too crowded. So many beautiful places to have picnics. I absolutely love coming here. Staff in cafe and ice cream stalls are lovely too. Lovely wildlife there too.

Nicely kept park with a feature fountain, gardens, lake and trails. Nice cafe for refreshments, toilets and a car park. Lovely place to walk and see wild birds. A little ice cream stall sells bird feed and the birds will eat from your hands. Sug at the bird feeding station at the lakeside and watch them feed and the squirrels raid the bird food too. A few rats as always when by water but of no bother as thrh ketp their distance. If you're like me you'll still enjoy seeing everything and a few rodents. Boats to be hired. Looks available but charged sadly, something that should be free in a park really but otherwise great.

A delightful open green space with lots of features that could keep the whole family occupied for hours and offers a complete contrast to Blackpool's town centre and sea front. There is free car parking within the park, a variety of themed areas, boating lake and extensive children's playground, plus a cafe. Worth a visit!

I loved walking around Stanley park and it took me backvto my childhood days, when i last came here. I did want to get on one of the lions for a photo opportunity, but i was worried id get stuck and a air ambulance would be called to help get a guy, in a denim miniskirt off a lion! I didn't get chance to go on a boat on the lake, but it did look fun. The cafe was excellent and the lady who served us was really nice. The cheesecake was to die for.

Haven't been to Stanley Park since I was a boy - despite regularly visiting Blackpool! Visited the park today with wife, daughter and two dogs - little girl loved it, especially the play area and the lake. Grabbed an ice cream, fed the ducks, geese and swans (bird feed available for £1 from the ice cream stall near the boating lake). Lovely park and kept exceptionally clean and tidy.

Visitors can save on admission with the Pick N Mix pass, which offers access to multiple attractions including SEA LIFE Blackpool.
We managed to go when there was some airplane show around so the place was very quiet which was amazing as the other one we visited was in London and that was very crowded.. This time we got to take pictures and walk around without feeling rushed. Simply beautiful and peaceful. Great for people with anxiety as that place calms you down somehow.

Out of everything we did on our day trip, this was most definitely our favourite. Had no wait to get in and staff very helpful on the desk. Lots of different areas to look in and very well themed. There wasn't a second that any of us were bored. The star fish part was my favourite, they were very strict on hand washing before the rock pool experience. They were regularly giving the creatures in the rock pool areas breaks to refrain people from constantly touching them. The staff appeared very knowledgeable and didn't seem like they were script reading. Considering it was quite busy, no one was rushing people around and barging people. Everyone was taking it in turns which made the experience good as at Blue Planet we experienced the opposite. We sat down for a talk infront of the very large tank, and the spokesperson kept us all intrigued. So many different aquatics to see, including corals and also some spiders and cockroaches. Lots of photo opportunities, including paid ones.
Adele J — Google review
Initially weren't very hyped up about it, mom was disappointed, but the further we go in the better the experience is!!! We had loads of fun! Baby loved it! The hands on experience in the beginning was great too! They saved the best for last, I won't spoil it for people looking for this review but it only gets better!! Also the shop had very cute souvenirs!

Amazing place. Sat at the big tank at the end, just watching them all swim around. The music made it so peaceful. Think we sat there for a good 20 minutes and the staff member was offering small shark teeth. Took one for my son, he's going to love it. He can't get enough of sharks. The whole experience was great, watching the different creatures and I loved the added Halloween decorations too. I will definitely be bringing my children next time.

We visited for the escarium event. It was absolutely brilliant and a great price of £12. The actors are amazing at their job, have they come over from the tower dungeons for the event ? Every single one of them was so perfect and professional and they really made the event. The lady on front desk was fantastic, very customer focussed and did a great job of getting everyone through the doors… she said it was your first Halloween event, a very well deserved round of applause… it seemed to go smoothly to what I saw…. We came dressed up as we visited the dungeons an hour before coming to your event, as I wandered around, I got mistaken for an actor several times haha , absolutely brilliant!!

St Annes Beach is a serene stretch of coastline with a pier and a beloved beachfront cafe. It's an ideal spot for families, offering various games and activities during the summer months. The preferred parking area is at FY8 1NW, providing convenient access to the quieter section of the beach and attractions like the splash zone and Lytham St Annes Pier.
Really nice place, a lot to see. Free street parking. I wonder why not make road side paid like £4-5/(office hours) instead 2h free with no return (office hours). Other paid parkings are limited. It is a long beach so be prepared for long walk to reach the water. Children pool and play areas are star of the place for families. Over all really good experience.

Lovely clean beach with a quaint little pier nearby. Great for families and has a no dogs rule from Good Friday until 30th September. Some people didn't think this applied to them as we saw four dog walkers in a short space of time near to the pier. Refreshments at the edge of the beach selling delicious ice cream, beach goods and souvenirs.

Beautiful gardens, twisting pathways, ponds, sunken garden. Perfect for a gentle stroll, in historical, peaceful surroundings. Just long enough for those who may have difficulty walking, you can lengthen, shorten your walk to your ability on the day. Lovely with nature stroll, some disabled parking close to the entrance too and places for refreshment. Highly recommend or combine with popping into the shops Lytham St Anne's. For the very young, with play areas, tranquil areas for those wanting peace and a relaxed reset and great for couples, friends to chat and walk.

Sainsbury's is a popular supermarket located on the high street, alongside other stores like Aldi and Tesco Express. The store is well-maintained, well-lit, and offers a wide range of products including fresh and packaged food, kitchenware, and beverages. Customers have praised the friendly staff who are always willing to assist. The store also provides ample parking space with a two-hour free parking policy.
Good sized local supermarket with a great range for everyday essentials. Scan as you shop and self-checkout options are available. 🛒 Free indoor parking is a real bonus, although it’s worth noting that you do still need to cross an unsheltered area to get from the car park to the store, a sheltered walkway would make a big difference, especially on rainy days. 🌧️ The store also includes an Argos collection point, customer toilets and a Sainsbury’s Bank ATM outside. Despite being a smaller Sainsbury’s branch, it’s still well stocked with kitchenware, pet care, cleaning products, baby essentials, clothing and seasonal plants. It’s also one of the only supermarket chains that stocks peach nectar juice. Handy, clean, and well laid out, great for a quick shop. ✅ Scan as you shop and self-checkout available. ✅ Free indoor parking (but no shelter between car park and store). ✅ Argos order and collection point inside. ✅ Sainsbury’s Bank ATM located outside. ✅ Customer toilets available.

What a disgrace. One till open and a snake around the store. Use one of their rubbish self scans or the shitshow management will make you damn well queue. Old people all calling for someone or something to stop the miserable half hour wait for service. That's me done now, it's the same in Blackpool. Balls to this outfit.

After years of 2hrs free parking, I've just received a fine for over staying. The Notice says I parked for 1hr 59 mins. I've been to see the signage which now says 90mins max. When did this happen? this is entrapment by eruo car parks. I'm totally disgusted and Sainsburys just lost a customer.

St Annes Pier, a Victorian pier that opened in 1885, is known for its picturesque white frontage and pavilions. Visitors can enjoy stunning sea views while taking a leisurely walk along the pier. The restored pier offers various attractions such as amusement arcades, traditional seaside treats like ice cream and coffee, and opportunities to try your luck at different games.
Nice (and compared to Blackpool) rather a small amusement park! But very lovely people working there (especially the woman at the ticket redemption counter)! Good chances to win prices! Nice views of the beach and pier. It was my favourite amusement park in Blackpool/ St. Anne's! I highly recommend spending some time!

The RSPB Fairhaven Lake Visitor Centre & Shop offers a range of activities such as boating, tennis, crazy golf, and lawn bowling. It is a family-friendly destination with opportunities to go on a boat ride and observe swans. The center also features a flight board that provides information about the birds' origin and species. In addition to these attractions, there are other entertainment options for children. The cafe is highly recommended for refreshments.
Love visiting here when I’m in the area, really simple walk along the beach to get there and plenty to do once there. The spitfire memorial at the side is worth a stop for anyone interested in local wartime history. Lots of swans on the lake too, and geese by the side. Seen signets here as well and the wildlife is fairly tame granted you don’t harass them and give them space. You can hire a boat out on the lake too which was good fun and offered a different perspective. As I said before the lake can be accessed from the beach but there is also street parking right along it. Would definitely recommend visiting here if you are nearby, maybe on a day exploring the town and beach.

On a nice sunny June Saturday afternoon around 4pm came especially to go on a boat around the lake and got turned down as last admission was at 4pm. What a joke! It's summer, sun is out and we have longer brighter days yet the staff didn't make any exceptions and decided to shut up shop. You need to revise your policy for summer times as this way your not doing yourself or tourism in the area any favors. Very disappointed. 😞

I visited fairhaven lake to see how the improvement of the area was going on.I arrived on a beautiful day. The view around the lake was stunning and plenty of baby ducks on the lake it looked great. The walk around the lake was great with places to sit and admire all the people enjoying their day some areas still cordoned off due to work still been under taken. I would leave this for a month till all the work is finish it will be a great day out with thing to do boating on the lake and eat. I would then give this a five stars rating.

A large Greene King pub by the railway station. Only one real ale on my visit, Greene King IPA. A Cask Marque pub but Ric " The Hat" does not like this IPA so had a half of real cider from the handpump. Lilley's Fire Dancer 4.5%. Lovely! A large pub with TV's, darts, two pool tables. Very reasonable GK food menu and plenty of special offers. Free GK wifi. ( missed out on a 10% CAMRA pint discount!) Front beer patio.

Been here twice in a week as we enjoyed the food and atmosphere , really reasonable prices, cocktails by the glass or pitcher are great prices also compared to other places. different deals on food throughout the week and the food is delicous and well presented, my favourite has to be the katsu chicken strips with rice and the chip shop curry is the best. Also the staff are friendly and give you the time of day with excellent customer service , one of the staff members I think was called max was very much accomadating and welcoming. We jump the bus from blackpool to here it's now our fave go to place, we shall be visiting later today for the £5 burger deal.

A Hidden Gem with Unbeatable Value The Townhouse is easily one of the best spots in town for both atmosphere and affordability. The drink prices are incredibly reasonable, making it a perfect place to grab a few rounds without breaking the bank. But what really sets it apart is Burger Wednesday — just £5 for a proper burger with toppings. The quality is outstanding for the price, and it’s quickly become my midweek go-to. Whether you’re popping in for a casual night with mates or just want great food and drinks without the hefty price tag, the Townhouse delivers every time. Highly recommend!

The food was good, that's the best fish I have ever eaten, the chips were so yummy. The only negative is, I wanted peas and there was only canned mashy peas, NOT my cup of tea, so, I really suggest fresh peas, frozen peas is cheap and easy to cook.

Nice clean cafe with friendly helpful staff and shaded outdoor seating. Ordered a large icecream which turned out to be a disaster as it melted so fast in the heatwave, my own fault really. It was delicious though.

Had a lovely meal here on Tuesday we sat inside as too warm outside even though there are umbrellas to sit under. There was a cool breeze passing and so relaxing. The food was lovely well made and staff were helpful and attentive. Can't recommend this cafe any higher every time we have lunch there it's wonderful fresh and well made. Thank you

Popped in on a Sunday morning at 11.40 (during breakfast service) We didn’t need a full meal as we were booked in for a roast elsewhere at 4pm. We thought we’d get some tea and toast to tide us over. Which we were bluntly told was not possible. Seconds later the same waitress brings over eggs on toast for the table next to us. I completely understand that breakfast service stops at a certain time but come on, it would have been no bother to put a couple of slices of bread in the toaster. Maybe I’m getting old and if I’m being unreasonable then please let me know.

We visited here for breakfast yesterday and I couldn't fault it at all. The service was great, the food was absolutely gorgeous and the setting was beautiful. The area was so well maintained and there was plenty of outside seating which was lovely because if the weather. I only went inside to use the bathroom but I noticed how nice it was inside too. There was a lot of gorgeous paintings on the walls and some for sale too. I'm so glad we decided to go here for breakfast, it was really enjoyable and set us up well for the day.

Pub
Restaurant
Nestled along the picturesque promenade of Lytham St Anne's, the Lord Derby is a quintessential British pub that perfectly blends a lively atmosphere with comfort and charm. Known for its extensive menu featuring grills and global comfort food, this pub is an ideal spot to catch major sporting events on TV while enjoying delicious meals crafted by talented chefs like Darryl. The friendly staff, including Paul who entertains guests with jokes and table tricks, adds to the welcoming vibe.
Highly recommend, food was superb, staff friendly and service was spot on. Reasonably priced and quality is really good. Flatbreads were spot on and the hunters chicken skillet was brilliant. Apple pie was really tasty as well. Friendly atmosphere and spacious. Love the Halloween themed decor! Dogs welcome and there is parking. Spacious pub with something for everyone. Will return here on my next stop over in Blackpool.

Good for drinking and better atmosphere than most pubs in the area. Bar staff are often good, but let customers vape inside when people are eating or want to breathe without risk of cancer, they wasn’t bothered when I said something. Nice to sit outside when it’s sunny, but Fylde council allow private company to the aim street cctv on the pub entrance and customers drinking. It’s against GDPR for councils to aim cctv on a private businesses. Food quality is a varies between owners and current staff. Years ago it was hard to find a table because the food was so good. Currently often served overcooked and cold. Look forward to another change of ownership. Only order drinks now. Last two mixed grill ordered all food was overcooked and cold, the steak actually tasted off and was green I places. Barman agreed and offered to cook new order, but said no, he gave a drink. Never ordered that since. Often see customers don’t finish most of the food or complain. Ordered burgers last time, only two of us ordering food, mostly empty and had to wait an hour. Burgers were dry, bitter and cold. Complete empty inside and after ordering drinks a new bar woman went off to sit down and have sip her drink. Bar man came and asked what I was ordering. Said I ordered but went off to break. We looked at her in confusion. She decided to get up and made the two drinks. Glasses were dirty.

Love this place! The Lord Derby in Lytham is an absolute gem. Super friendly staff, great food, and a lovely relaxed vibe. One of the best things? It’s properly dog friendly — water bowls, treats, and dogs are made to feel just as welcome as people. Perfect spot after a walk with the pup. Always a great time here! Our dog Rex definitely approves of the doggy menu !

I get it—it’s a hot day at the seaside, the place is busy, and there’s a steady stream of customers. But with over five bar staff on, a queue out the door, three of them focused on stacking glasses, and only two taking food and drink orders at a pace slower than a sloth, it's clear the issue here is poor management. We ended up ordering at the bar because the app wasn’t working properly as phone service was very slow. Even after clearly spelling out our order, what we got was baffling. Only 2 out of 4 meals were right. The other two? Practically the same order—both the chick & mix with two sweetcorns, fries, and chicken skewers—but one with strips and the other with boneless wings and added garlic bread. Should’ve been simple. Instead, both meals came out after the others had already been served, completely wrong, and then were taken back to the kitchen. One plate eventually came back out, mostly correct, but still only one. By this time, the first two meals were nearly finished, so we just decided to share and wait for the other plate, hoping it’d eventually turn up. We asked a server that we are still waiting on another plate (who was mid-delivery to another table) and got a dismissive “I know,” and then had to chase it up again at the bar 20 minutes later. They finally went into the kitchen and brought out the last plate—almost as if they forgot about it until we made a fuss. I have attached a picture showing that all meals have practically been finished at this point. The food wasn’t awful, but the execution was just ridiculous. The second plate had even more corn on the cob, at least 15 boneless wings (why? one serving already came with 8 as advertised on the menu), and another chicken skewer. It felt like they just threw whatever they had left on a plate to shut us up. As for the skewers—completely dry and flavorless. I’m still chewing on one during the drive home. In the end, it wasn’t just the slow service or the mistakes—it was the total lack of care. Whether the staff were overwhelmed or just couldn’t be bothered, the fact that two nearly identical orders came out late and wrong, got mashed together on one plate, and required complaints just to get finished is just lazy. A total farce. Waste of time and money.

Came here for Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. Service was excellent, staff were friendly and efficient. Had Sunday Lunch of pork, Yorkshire pudding, mash, roasties, cabbage, green beans, carrot and swede mash, stuffing, paid extra for Cauliflower cheese, which was so cheesy, and stuffing. Absolutely gorgeous plate of food. The scenery around was stunning. We will definitely return!

Ric "The Hat" explains the saying " as different as chalk and cheese." The Taps in Lytham or the Upper George in Halifax are super Greene King pubs. This is not in the same company. Only one real ale on tap on our visit, an ok Abbot Ale. Large pub with lots of outside seating. It is, what it is! Good for pool, darts, tv etc. Pub grub.

We visit greene king sizzling pubs often as its a decent food at a good price. The lord Derby is one of the best. Food is always excellent as is the service. Paul our guy who brought us our food tonight is a top lad and really friendly and an excellent waiter. If you are after a good dad joke, this is your man. Highly recommended!

A brilliant place. We are staying nearby for the weekend and stumbled upon it but will definitely be back for our meals. The food is lovely and the atmosphere is better than any pub I've been too - warm, friendly and very family orientated. If you meet Paul serving you, ask him for his bad jokes, had us all laughing!

The Grove cocktail bar in Lytham is a remarkable establishment that exudes elegance and sophistication. It offers an exceptional dining experience with its superb ambiance, exquisite decoration, and top-notch service. Yvonika, the manager, deserves recognition for her efficient management and coordination of the restaurant. The drinks and food served at The Grove are of excellent quality, with the cocktails being particularly impressive. Additionally, their pizza selection is simply divine.

A beautiful space. We arrived for a bit to eat about 6pm Friday. Place was suspiciously empty and welcoming somewhat lacking until a waitress saw what was happening and got a grip. The bartender was on a different planet. Shown to a Nice window table overlooking the empty terrace. Menu is simple but adequate. Opted for a wagyu burger and katsu curry, a mojito and martini. All very nice albeit the fries with the burger were a tad over-seasoned. The place really lacked the ambience to encourage us to dwell. A better choice of more relaxed background music might have helped along with it being a couple of notches down. And although it might have been in the interests of advancing mixology, staff downing shots at the bar isn't a good look. The Grove sits in a prime position in a town where choice is plentiful and the game has to be a mark above to win it. The closure of Finos across the road should be an early warning that on present form, there's a chance of relegation. Overall, we.would go again but it sits down the list of choices. At £50 for one course and drink for two it certainly is setting the bar of expectation rather high. Some early doors incentive might be required to entice people to have a look at what should be a go-to spot in leafy Lytham

Popped in to the Capri for a much needed brunch following reviews online. Food was good and restaurant is cosy and inviting. Only downside was the unfriendly and unwelcoming service. Not a single smile or warm welcome, like offering service was just too much. We were made to feel unwelcome which was a great pity for visitors to St.Annes. Maybe we just do things different down South

Came here and enjoyed a good latte coffee. The table service was good and staff helpful. Didn't have anything to eat but the food coming out to tables was well presented and appeared to have been enjoyed. Prices a little high. Hand gel and face masks are available and the toilet facilities were very good.

What a great experience me and my family had here today. all the models are amazing, the rovers return was great to stop and have a drink in this iconic British pub. the staff were great it's a must see attraction at Blackpool.

A great place to visit while in Blackpool, well worth a visit and good value when brought as part of turn blackpool days out pass. We spent around 2 hours here looking around, and the kids enjoyed it too. Even met Taylor Swift while we were there, she was a bit needy and kept asking for an autograph. Thor needs to hit the gym, hes let himself go.

Its been a while since i last visited the wax works. we decided to go and give it ago and for £48 for the family ticket it was not the cheapest. We enjoyed our time here seeing the different people and having phots with them. it was not too busy at the time so we did not have to wait long to get a good look at each wax work. the whole walk around was around 2hrs with a stop in the rovers pub mid way.
Mark P — Google review
Had such a fun visit here, was fun for all of us. It was very clean, including the toilets. Appears very accessible too with lots of lifts (not that we needed to use them. But worth mentioning for those who do). Staff very nice and helpful, always smiling. The wax figures were so good, I had to look up close to so many of them because you couldn't tell that they were wax. Now history doesn't usually interest me, but I loved reading the history behind Madame Tussaud. So many different areas inside and a place to sit, drink and eat. The marvel area was incredible, and our favourite by far! Lots of photo opportunities, including paid ones to purchase if you'd like to. The gift shop at the end had a little bit of everything in there. It was very clean and well kept. Would be nice to see a few more people added in there like Luke Littler and Luke Combs.

Absolutely brilliant!. We loved it, seeing all the celebrities up close is wicked and strange at the same time. There's someone for all the family.
Debbie L — Google review
Better than expected, and the waxworks were actually really good. Definitely worth a walk around with more celebrities than I realised there were. Not too costly, and especially great if the weather is rubbish outside 😂👌👍
Steven L — Google review
Had an ok visit on a Saturday morning. Wasn't too busy as we went in just after opening. The waxworks are pretty good likenesses and the theming around the attraction is good. There just isn't enough of them. The models are very spaced out and there is a lot of empty space in some areas where it looks like some have been removed. They could really do with adding a lot more to make the walk around more eventful - sad to see a big lack of sports stars, just a handful of British ones. Likewise music and film are very underrepresented. Was cheap to enter as part of the Blackpool multi attraction ticket though. Took us around 60 minutes to get through.

First time attending and was really fun. Free photos by the staff on the way around and some really cool picture spots to take for yourself. The wax hand bit was also cool with the staff being very patient and friendly.

The Blackpool Tower Ballroom is a must-visit attraction in the seaside resort of Blackpool. The ballroom is known for its stunning decor, featuring ornate designs, sparkling chandeliers, and opulent balconies that transport visitors back to the 19th century.
Fantastic visit for an afternoon tea. Very friendly staff and a beautiful building that we loved exploring. Afternoon tea was lovely and it was fun to watch all the dancers taking to the floor while the organist played in the background (the organ and organist sink into the stage when they finish playing). Recommended as a very different way to experience Blackpool. You can reach the upper balcony from within the ballroom for a different view.

My friends treated me to afternoon tea at the ballroom whilst on a weekend trip. Our waitress was lovely and very helpful, topping up the teapots when they were empty. The food selection was amazing. Delicious sandwiches with lovely fillings, excellent fruit scones with individual pots of jam and cartons of cream, and a beautiful selection of little cakes. We spent a good few hours enjoying all the dancers twirling round the floor and a couple of our ladies enjoyed joining in the Gay Gordon's. A lovely afternoon was had by all.

Absolutely brilliant day at the tower ballroom. Fantastic staff serving afternoon tea, they were so helpful and polite. We went to watch my dad dance who’s 75 with his dancing team, I’ve not been since the age of 3 & what a place. Recommend it to anyone. 🌻😀

I have been coming to Blackpool since I was a little girl , the ballroom and tower are still as utterly magical as I remember I haven’t danced for many years and it was Amazing to be able to take to the floor again with my daughter …. The staff were absolutely brilliant , service was second to none especially Frances ……it really did bring a tear to my eye to hear the magical wurziltler play and see all the other dancers take to the floor …….. I hope to be coming back here for many many years till I’m old and grey Blackpool tower - there’s no place like it ! A magical experience for young and old 🥰🙏♥️✨

An experience like no other!! My wife and I along with our little one came to the ballroom for cream tea, and had an incredible time! We stayed so much longer than we intended as we were mesmerised by all the ballroom dancers, organists playing and the general architecture and aura across the space. The cream tea was delicious, but the stand-out for our visit was simply watching around 40 (mainly 60Yr olds plus) dancing a range of traditional ballroom dances on the dance floor! Amazing!! Our toddler loved it too!!

We did not have food when we visited however it did look nice ! What a fabulous experience at VIVA Blackpool on Thursday 26th June. We were a party of 6 and had a great table at the front of the stage. Lee the owner and compare was brilliant from the moment he stepped on stage. Funny sharp and lovely. He did not make anyone feel uncomfortable. We were watching Jersey Beat who were amazing ! Every single song and dance routine was a hit ! What a great bunch of guys. The venue is lovely. Spacious and the tables are set out well. Every single staff member were friendly efficient and very clearly love what they do which is so great to see. This was our first visit but will not be the last. A well run place providing a wonderful atmosphere and experience. VIVA you are simply the best in town !

Whilst visiting Blackpool we booked viva Abba, this was a really good night, the staff were brilliant singers. The bar service was quick, reasonable priced drinks,we didn't try the food but looked nice. Got into the spirit of buying one of the flashing cowboy hats which were popular. Shame we went home the next day as was a few shows we wanted to watch. Highly recommended 👌

We went to see decades rewind show. The show was fantastic, Olivia is really talented, as are the rest of the crew. They kept churning the hits out. Their energy levels never dropped. Staff look like they are really enjoying themselves, yet they still provide a great service. The compare Leye D Johns... what can I say? Whitty, cheesey and sometimes tacky, all executed exceptionally well, his timing is spot on, which provides an excellent evening's entertainment. The food looked really good, sadly we had already eaten. Good range of drinks and reasonably priced.
Hideho — Google review
We travelled from Liverpool for my birthday for this event and booked it back in April. We were expecting a nice night with the theme that was advertised, which was 80's, 90's and 2000's music. The fact is that the main show was the egotistical, vile, foul mouthed self proclaimed gay man who was supposed to be part of the entertainment cast. He was absolutely vile with his constant, inappropriate comments of a sexual nature to two self confessed 16yr old boy's and on every break in between song's he took his opportunity to indulge himself with absolutely inappropriate sexual comments and jokes which were in no way relevant to the show in which the customers were expecting. If I wanted to listen to this foul mouthed, vile and offensive content then I would have booked tickets to see Chubby Brown!! It was a disgrace and when he was challenged from a member of the audience he had the audacity to have them evicted, at which point myself and my wife walked out too with 2 other couple's. The night was cut short for us as a result as we still had an hour to go, but we could not bear to listen to the filth that was coming from this person's mouth any longer. I am unsure at this moment whether he has actually committed an offence, and am wandering if he should be reported to the police for his offensive content. I would advise everyone to boycott this place until this person has been remove from the cast as he is an utter disgrace and is giving the rest of the show bad publicity.
Brian F — Google review
We did the bottomless brunch for my mums hen do last night, most of the staff were an absolute vibe and kept the drinks flowing. But, the Prosecco I think it was? Was really awful and the other drink just wasn’t strong at all. Most of us came out pretty sober which was a shame. And a wkd costs around £5 which is pricey. But apart from that the rest is so fun! I do have to say though when you’re in the vip area you’re really secluded from the stage because you’re all the way back from it which is a little disappointing.
Shannon C — Google review
We came to a show last night (Sat 1st Nov) for my sister's 40th, we had been looking forward to the show for months and had to leave half way through the show. The main host of the show while mild entertaining at some points of the evening, was extremely crude towards a young member of the audience. He was making lewd suggestive comments and when he found out he was only 16 they became even more offensive and frankly disgusting. I was cringing for most of the show every time he spoke. The actual cabaret itself was "ok", something that teens would put on for their parents at the end of school show, cheap tacky and barely watchable to be honest. The only saving grace was a young blonde woman, she has a phenomenal voice and far too talented for the stage she is on. She is the only reason we stuck around as long as we did. The show was supposed to be a family friendly show with U16s allowed to watch the show, however the comperes "jokes" between the songs were not suitable for little ears without a doubt. I will definitely be giving this show a miss in my future trips to Blackpool.

We stayed in the North Shore Premier Inn for 3 nights. We had our breakfast & 2 course evening meals here as part of the prepaid meal deal. The food here was excellent. The breakfast was buffet style with an excellent choice of, well prepared, hot & continental type options. The choice of evening meals was great & we enjoyed everything we chose. The haddock & chips was especially excellent! In fact the haddock & chips was so good I had to have this twice!! The staff were all very friendly & helpful. Would have no hesitation eating here again in future.

First time visiting here. The service was lovely. There was a bit of a wait for food but if you want fresh cooked food you need to be patient 😁 The food was very nice and the only reason I have given it 4 stars is due to own preferences l. So the steak and burgers are flame grilled which is nice but a little over powering, chips was nice a crisp. The chicken and mushroom pie was full and crisp. The children enjoyed tye desserts.

We came here for a 60th birthday celebration and the team could not have been more helpful! They allowed us to come half an hour before our booking and set up some decorations- even took our cake and stored it away for us. Lucy and Tom were fantastic servers! Really took care of us and made sure the evening went smoothly and always made sure we were topped up with drinks and that our food was okay! Overall a great experience and made for a lovely birthday celebration! Thank you so much all will definitely visit again!

One of Blackpool's hidden gems, this lovely old cinema is located off the beaten tourist track, a few minutes walk from the seafront. It opened in 1921, and you can still watch classic films here on Friday nights. I came here during the day and spent a fascinating couple of hours browsing around three floors crammed with antiques, collectables, pictures, crafts, jewellery, books and much more. There's just about everything you can imagine on display, and genuine treasures to be found. Some lovely vintage china on the first floor. Had lunch in the charming (and dog friendly) first-floor tea room with its nostalgic artwork and stained glass window. They serve sandwiches, breakfasts, homemade soup and other light meals, with vegetarian and vegan options, and also afternoon teas. The man who served me was cheerful, friendly and chatty. My ploughman's lunch, served on a wooden platter, was a real feast, and with the pot of tea cost only £10.15. It was well worth climbing the steep stairs to an attic filled with nice ornaments, old vinyl records and vintage clothing. Bought a little silver tray with four French glasses - a bargain at £12.50. A helpful assistant carried it downstairs to the pay desk for me, and it was very carefully wrapped. All in all an enjoyable time spent here. Will come again.

I absolutely love visiting here when I go to Blackpool. I always love looking around all the treasures and I always buy something. It has a very large selection of items, might be a bit tricky for accessibility in a wheelchair, rollator and similar mobility aids. There are stairs to the upper floors. I always come away with something I love! I could and do spend hours in there. It could do with more seating as I struggle with my mobility, I need to sit down often, and I end up sitting on the floor, which sometimes is a bonus because there are things you may not see whilst walking.

How do you rate what should be a national treasure? The Regent pretty much sells everything that was ever made, from the beginning of the 16th century to 2 weeks ago. It's a veritable Aladdin's Cave/Emporium/curiosity shop on 3 yes 3 different t levels. Ground floor, 1st floor and in the attic. It is VERY easy to get lost in there & the sheer range of items for sale is unreal. From corsets to Corgi toys there's something for everybody. I wish I'd had more time to look around this fantastic treasure trove. It would take me 3 days just to look through the 1st floor alone. Amazing place, the epitome of "hidden gem".

Antiques centre over 4 floors, crammed with bargains, they have a cafe too. Auctions once a month, and you can bid online. You could easily spend a few hours here, and still not see everything they have. Housed in an old cinema, just wonderful, a real treasure trove.

An absolute treasure with real character. Every corner has something unique, from vintage furniture to rare collectibles. Their staff happy to chat without any pressure to buy. Easily one of the best antique shops I’ve come across. A must visit.

Vintage, antique, trinket, book heaven! What a lovely place, loved every minute of being here it's quirky and different and in an old 1920s cinema definitely worth checking out if you're in Blackpool.
Alice H — Google review
Lovely antique shop spread across three floors full of vintage treasures, from furniture and homeware to books and curios. It's a great place to browse for collectors or those who enjoy a bit of nostalgia. They still run an online auction once a month, and you can collect any won items in person. There's a collection spot right outside for picking up larger or auctioned items, which is really handy. The Regent also still has its original old cinema, which operates a few times a month, showing classic and independent films, a nice vintage touch. There’s also a small tearoom on-site for a cuppa after a browse. No free parking nearby, so factor that in if you’re planning a longer visit, but nearby pay-and-display is available. Overall worth a visit if you're into antiques, retro finds, or just fancy stepping back in time for an hour or two. It's free to enter.

This place is a very old cinema, full of lovely old brick a brac, a fascinating place to look around, lots of antiques,, all sorts of things, beautiful old tea services, old book, ornaments, retro clothes, there is also a little cafe on the top floor, it closes at 2.30, there is a toilet but you have to get the code off someone who works at the place, highly recommend this place if you are looking for something unique, retro, it also has a cinema in it still in its original condition

Day 5

Off the beaten path
For day 5, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse. Not quite as popular as Ashton Gardens, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

Water & Amusement Parks
Sandcastle Waterpark offers a wide range of aquatic fun for families, with over 18 rides and attractions including slides, wave pools, flumes, and a wave machine. The park also features facilities such as snack outlets and arcades to keep everyone entertained. Visitors can enjoy discounts by booking tickets in advance online. One of the highlights is the Master Blaster, known as the world's longest indoor roller coaster water slide.
Oh my. What a beautiful place. I love it, the wife loves it, the kids don't want to leave and want to come back everyday. Excellent value for money, loads of fun things to do and what a good way for families to spend time together on the budget. The changing room is clean, the temperature is absolutely conducive and there is at least one thing for everyone and suitable for people with disabilities as well. Love it

Great place to enjoy family time and relax. Great facilities and fun. Staff are also okay, some are ready to assist and prioritise safety. The spa section is good but the tags given doesn't work, even after complaining and getting another one, it still did not work. The locker technology and safety measures are quite impressive.
Oyeleke O — Google review
We came here during the holidays and we had a decent experience. The queues weren't horrendous and we enjoyed the wave pool. However, the place was absolutely slammed, it felt quite claustrophobic. I also feel that this is a place you would enjoy more if you have kids, less so for a group of adults.
Anna J — Google review
My kids loved the experience. Very huge waterpark we definitely going back. Very warm inside lots of activities
DJ J — Google review
Totally Worth It! We booked our tickets online when we reached the park, and even though it was a bank holiday weekend, we managed to get them easily. There was a rush for the later slots, but we chose the 9:30 AM slot—and that turned out to be a brilliant decision! The early slot is definitely the best choice. Later slots had long queues, with up to 30-minute waits for slides. In the early slot, we enjoyed most rides with no waiting. Early arrivals also get the best parking since it fills up quickly as the day goes on. The water felt noticeably warmer in the morning session, which made it even more enjoyable. Facilities like lockers and wristbands worked perfectly, and you can access your locker as many times as needed. You can add money to your wristband for food, drinks, and photos, which is super convenient—and any unused balance is easily refunded at the end of your visit. There are eating facilities inside with a decent variety, though prices are a bit on the higher side. The wave pool is fun, but the wave session felt quite short—probably under 2 minutes. A longer wave time would definitely improve the experience. For rides, start with the big thrill ones—Aztec Falls, The Sidewinder, and Master Blaster are must-tries for adults and thrill-seekers. The Splash Zone is a definite highlight, especially for kids and families. Once you’ve done the main slides, take your time to relax in the pools and explore the rest of the park. Swimwear rules are clearly listed online, so it’s worth checking in advance. You can take some pictures inside the park, just be mindful of other guests' privacy. Overall, we had a fantastic time. The only things that could make it better? Slightly lower prices, longer sessions—and definitely a longer wave pool run. Because honestly, the fun never ends!
Ashish P — Google review
We decided to visit the water park on a very wet and windy day in Blackpool, This is not the cheapest attraction around at £76 for the 3 of us, but it dose offer 3hrs of pool time which we found to be clean and warm the slides are good and an good amount of them. The lazy river was our fav. My only down side was not been able to ride the master blaster due to a weight limit. i do wish that this was better posted and the signage was small and behind you when stood in the queue. I was asked to stand on a scale which went red for me and i am not a small fella nor am i a big one too. i felt so embarrassed to be told that i was over weight and could not ride, i then had to wait at the bottom while my son and wife went on the slide. i asked the staff member if this was for all the rides but lucky it was just this one. this really needs to be better advertised as body shaming people in public is not a good thing to be doing. After this we did go on the other slides and enjoyed our time here.
Mark P — Google review
We had a fantastic day at this waterpark! The selection of slides is excellent, with something for all ages. Our little one especially loved the splash area designed just for younger kids, and the lazy river was a highlight for the whole family—relaxing and beautifully done. The entire place is brilliantly themed, with lush decorations, jungle vibes, and even real olam trees outside that add to the tropical feel. Staff were lovely—friendly, helpful, and attentive—and there were plenty of lifeguards on duty, which made us feel safe. There’s even a water photographer around to capture those fun moments, which is a nice touch. A couple of things could be improved. There are no separate male and female changing areas, which felt quite uncomfortable and a bit surprising for a family-focused venue. Also, lockers cost £2 to use and the fee isn’t refunded, which felt a bit steep on top of admission. One frustration was with the medium slides (the green and red ones). We queued up with our 7-year-old, who was wearing a life jacket. The staff member managing the queue could see this, but didn’t mention that these slides weren’t suitable for non-swimmers or those in life jackets. Clearer signage would have saved us a good chunk of time and disappointment. Overall though, it’s a fantastic place with a lot to enjoy—we’ll definitely be back, especially once a few of these small things are improved.
Heych X — Google review
Me and the two kids went on Monday in October half term. We booked in advance and went for 10:00 entry. £75 for three and extra for a locker? Perhaps a little steep but seems the going rate for any attractions these days! The changing rooms were clean and there are loads of lockers - we booked in a single wristband in advance and a large yellow one was was plenty big enough for our stuff. We managed to take advantage of the quieter potion of the visit between 10 and 11:30 to get on all of the slides. Would say at this time, probably 5 to 10 minutes wait for them. Longest wait was for Master Blaster, but time was getting on by the time we decided to go on. Only thing to improve would probably be the brown spiral steps up to the yellow and blue thunder falls slides - notably rusty in places but can be avoided if watch your step. Didn't bother eating there so cannot comment on that. All in all great fun but we left after 2 and half hours as all the queues had increased substantially in length and didn't want to wait for any.

Indoor playground
In Blackpool, there's an exciting new attraction called The Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse, inspired by the beloved characters from Julia Donaldson's popular books. This multi-million pound indoor adventure ground has been in development for 18 months and offers an interactive experience for kids. Visitors can meet their favorite characters from The Gruffalo books and enjoy various activities such as play areas, character songs, story time, and meet-and-greets with the iconic Gruffalo himself.
Wow what a really Great place. Me and my wife took our daughter there who is nearly 2. We were so pleased that there was a lot of things to keep young children entertained for example the sensory room among others. The place is very clean and tidy with the soft play climbing frames being very modern and with all the props and detailed decorations making it feel like you was really in a forest surrounded by the gruffalo and his friends. For me, as a parent, the most impressive part of the whole experience was the happy and energetic staff they first explained when we entered how the place is setup, what is where and what time the shows run you can tell they are well trained and truly enjoy what they're doing especially with their interactions with the kids which really made the whole experience so much more fun for everyone. I also loved the fact you can buy a Costa coffee inside their cafe among many other tasty delights. The only thing that i feel could be improved on was the older group's from schools, because (some of the classes 7-8 year olds)were a lot older than the rest of the kids there and were running around manically and just knocking small children over(which we witnessed about nine times during our time there), then running off again, not being thoughtful or careful in the least and the teachers were just grouped up looking at their phones, drinking coffee, chit chatting and not watching the children. So perhaps, they could have classes come on certain day or times where it is not open to the general public . Apart from that it was a really good time spent there, I would definitely recommend it to others and look forward for our next visit

In essence a play centre with soft play climbing frame, slides, sensory room and a ball pool. Well executed and great for toddlers and younger children. 90 minute timed play. Plastic characters dotted around for photo ops and meet and greet queue for payable pics with "real" characters. Also a stage with regular stories, dancing, activities. One star lost because finding a seat/table was a nightmare. All tables/chairs piled with coats and bags and most had no occupants. Costa coffee serving sandwiches, crisps, drinks, but again, nowhere to sit. Maybe needs a cloakroom, pram park or even just pegs?

Wow... Just, wow. The only thing good about Blackpool and great value for money. Smaller than expected but no lack of things to do. I actually would have rather paid a bit more and been able to stay for longer... We didn't want to leave! We didn't get time to try the cafe as there was just so much to do. Ball pit, two soft plays and the main area. We met the Gruffalo and the Witch from Room On The Broom. Also had a disco with the Witch! The Highway Rat came out too but we didnt queue for him. Venue and toilets were both lovely and clean. Staff were lovely at the front desk and in the shop after. The shop was also reasonably priced compared to similar attractions.

The kids absolutely loved this experience, there was a lovely place to sit and have lunch and the sensory room is relaxing amd blocks out quite alot of the noise from the rest of the playroom, the staff also play a little game with them which occupys them so you get a whole 10 minute break, which is needed

Pre-booked and went last weekend, reasonable price. A great place for kids, various play areas and a ball pit. Entertainment on the stage, meet & greet the characters' photo opportunity too. Staff all very happy and helpful.

Yesterday I took my 16 month old to the Gruffalo and Friends Clubhouse and it was dangerously busy. The majority of children were accompanied by an adult and the adults were shoving my son out the way just as much as the children. I tried taking him to the toddler section to see if it was any calmer and you couldn’t even move it was that busy. I think the health and safety needs looking at, so many times he was knocked over because it was so busy and he’s slowly than the older children. The staff were also encouraging children to run around and collect treasure which caused even more chaos, with children sprinting round the heaving venue and running into each other and into tables. Appreciate it’s a popular experience, but it wasn’t a positive one for us! There needs to be a bigger limit on people.
Molly W — Google review
We had a trip here during the school holidays with our 8 year old daughter and 3 year old son. They both absolutely loved it, as did me and my partner. I think the place is lovely and very cool for kids who like the Gruffalo. I like how they do little parties and dancing etc with the characters and staff round the side. The only reason I knocked one star off is due to the fact that adults have to pay. This isn’t a large amount, but as we were with a lot of family on our holidays down the road who all came in, this added up and I don’t believe adults should have to pay in soft play places like this as it’s not like we are playing. Especially as we all bought drinks etc from the cafe inside anyway and I think most families do this. Apart from this, I think it’s an excellent place and my kids loved it, definitely worth a visit.

We visited on Tuesday last week and it’s the second time we have, our daughter met some of the characters she didn’t last time! She had an absolute blast, the whole place is set up wonderfully & is truly magical 🥰 Glen who works there goes above & beyond, he is super helpful & friendly, you couldn’t ask for more! We will return again next time we’re in Blackpool!

If you're looking for a magical adventure this Half-term, The Hole in Wand in Blackpool is the perfect destination! Dive into the enchanting world of wizards as you navigate through a captivating nine-hole crazy golf course. This indoor attraction features unique themes at each hole, all set against an atmospheric backdrop that immerses you in a spellbinding experience. Challenge your friends and family to see who can break the Witches Hex on Hole 3 and earn their potion drink at the end of the game.
We had an absolutely fantastic time at The Hole in Wand in Blackpool! As big fans of all things magical, this Harry Potter-themed crazy golf experience completely exceeded our expectations. Each hole had its own unique theme, and the dark, atmospheric rooms lit with enchanting lights really added to the immersive experience. The attention to detail was brilliant, and it was clear a lot of thought had gone into making each part feel like a step into a wizarding world. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the fun and making the whole visit feel even more special. We also loved the photo opportunities at the end — we got two great souvenir photos for just £10, which felt like a bargain compared to the prices at the official Harry Potter Studios. We’ll definitely be returning with more of the family next time. Highly recommend this magical little gem for anyone visiting Blackpool!

We turned up a day earlier than our booking and yet the staff were great. Squeezed us in and literally treat us like royalty - no turning us away as they would have been fully entitled to. We’ve visited the flagship store in York and this was equally as good Fun had for all of us The free potion makes it extra great value and the whole experience is fun for all the family Highly recommend for a cheap way to pass an hour with kids And adults alike

Absolutely loved our visit here! Massive shout out to Naomi - she provided fantastic customer service and even had my pre-teens (and 17year old!) excited in the magic side of the golf! Left with lots of drinks and cakes, plus badges for getting hole-in-ones. Will definitely return and 100% recommend!

A spellbinding adventure awaits you at Hole in the Wand, especially as Halloween draws near! A full themed wizarding-golf experience is to be had by all the family. Absolutely fantastic place to visit! Captivated the attention from aged 10 to 55. Female staff member explained everything and made accommodations for an autistic child. Manager was friendly and available as required. The 'holes' themselves were amazing to look at and very engaging. Sadly however they were not wheelchair friendly on the whole, despite staff being as helpful as possible. Only reason for losing a star was that we felt it was inappropriate that the male staff member took our order in the potion shop, and then made us wait while he went to serve another customer in another area before fulfilling our order. He was quite brusque as well when he was telling us they were short-staffed that day.

Very good indoor area, it was very quiet when we visited which does make a difference, as it’s not big inside! Great use of space, but the holes are pretty hard, especially for kids - it’s all about the theme, the girl on the desk was AMAZING, really got into it, where the guy on the desk at the end - total opposite!!!

A lovely cottage shape sorted for £9.99. LOL dolls purse for £4.99 and girls unicorn PJs for £4.00. My grandson loves Lego so I bought a box of Lego compatible bricks and building board for £5.49. Davidoff Coolwater ladies perfume for £9.99. Im very pleased with all my purchases. A nice friendly man served us and helped us pack. Excellent, staff with very little exception really go out of their way to be helpful. You can even call the store directly, a true rarity nowadays.... One con though is that like virtually all retailers they are continually moving stock around and changing shelving placements, which for me personally doesn't encourage me to shop more at all, just frustrates me to the level that I may just leave, June 2025 have dropped a star due to repeated major supply chain management issues, even following the apparent opening of a new n improved distribution centre?

Not quite a pound shop but pretty cheap all the same! Sells all sorts from firewood to arts and craft items and everything in-between! Items change on a weekly basis, and depending on the time of the year! I buy mainly cleaning and toiletries items from here and I'm never disappointed. Could do with a few more people on the tills when it gets busy but other than that I will definitely visit again when I need to stock up again!

They seem to have Covid-19 restrictions in place correctly and mask wearing is required. Probably one of the best members of staff served me on the checkout. Great manners and super. I'd like to pass my comments onto his line manager. Cheers 👍

Jai Lounge - Coffee Bar Kitchen is a delightful spot that offers an array of delectable dishes. The lamb biryani, fish curry, lamb chops, and masala chips are particularly noteworthy for their exquisite flavors and generous portions. The restaurant's authentic Indian cuisine prepared by genuine Indian chefs stands out for its quality and freshness. Despite slightly higher prices compared to other local Indian restaurants, the exceptional food more than makes up for it. Additionally, the establishment provides great service in a welcoming atmosphere.

Wow what a wonderful dinner!! Full of flavor and truly an exceptional dinner:) the spice was just right and you have the option to make it spicier or not:) the service is brilliant and so welcoming. I ordered the lamb samoosas to start and they were delicious, then chicken curry with extremely tender chicken and a thick Marsala sauce that was to die for! On top of all this excellence they serve COBRA draft beer and it's the way to go. If your in the mood for real flavor and a great curry this is the place to go! Thank you Jai Lounge for your magic!

Amazingly good. The menu had plenty of choice without being excessive, which is always a sign that it is going to be good. Had the monkfish starter and Lamb Biryani. The lamb was really tender and the fish was perfectly cooked. Fresh vibrant flavours and the nan bread was lovely and light, which as a diabetic is perfect.

Great, friendly local watering hole. Good selection of beer, including at least one guest cask ale at all times. Little details that add an extra layer of enjoyment including ice creams and slushies, hot pork scratchings, a doggy treat jar, excellent pool tables and a very comfortable separated area, with open log fire for a quieter drink. Karaoke every Friday and Sunday night and the best Sunday Roast Carvery in the area, sells out every week. Big screens for sport and a nice, warm comfortable atmosphere. My favourite pub on the Fylde for sure.

Miserable landlords, no tolerance for children at all. We got there and there was no food on, we asked if it was okay if we could bring some food so we could eat, they said no. We asked if we could eat it outside, they said no. Constantly telling the children off for playing, wouldn't let them go in the back garden even with an adult. Its a shame really as it seemed like a good venue. The decor, pool tables and darts board were of good quality.
