Wyoming's Rib & Chop House in Cheyenne is part of a chophouse chain known for its relaxed, casual setting and mouthwatering menu. With locations across several states, including Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, and Utah, this restaurant offers aged steaks, succulent seafood, and award-winning ribs. The ambiance is reminiscent of a rodeo-style eatery with a unique brand of Rocky Mountain Hospitality.
An oddity to have each entree or side to have its own plate or bowl. Unique for certain. At least in my travels. Good atmosphere, a little on the noisy side in the dining area. Quick service. Kayla was a treat and checked on us frequently. Steaks were prepared well. There were options to add to how the steak was cooked, but passed. Will be here again when we swing through.

We stopped in before the fireworks. The food was good. I had the bison tomahawk and my wife had the surf and turf. The food was decent. The lobster didn’t taste fresh. It had a wang to it. But other than that the rest was good. My tomahawk was really rare but the staff tried very well to remedy that. They were all very helpful and nice people. I would definitely eat here again. One thing I would recommend to the owner is fix the menu. It’s to small and hard to navigate. The tomahawk I almost didn’t notice and the waitress didn’t know they had it before I ordered it. It’s really hard to tell what all Is available.

We Love This Steak House The Food is Incredible! My Favorite is the Jamaican Brown Sugar Salmon on a cedar plank itis Divine! My Husband gets the Ribeye, always cooked to Perfection! Wait staff is Always Very Attentive. Today Collin was our Bar Tender/Waiter, He was Great! Go in, tell Collin I sent you!

What an amazing find on our short stopover in Cheyenne. Friendly welcome on arrival , a varied menu with plenty of choices. We couldn’t resist sharing the cote de bouef! What an excellent choice, table side drama on serving the steak, sizzling on the hot plate, and the meat was delicious, perfectly cooked to our taste (medium). Service was top notch, and genuine desire to please.
Catherine S — Google review
Fantastic! We were recommended by our hotel and we are so grateful. We had 3 young kids and they were well accommodated. Food was tasty and well priced. Shout out to Gino who was our server and a great host. Highly recommend to others.
Charlie Z — Google review
First, the service is excellent. The food, is not. They charge 17.95 for a salad. Which is fine, but it is literally a bunch of iceberg lettuce. No romaine, no red leaf, no green leaf. It is straight up iceberg. Just a shame. It's gone downhill over the years.
Danielle A — Google review
I had the ribeye and wild rice, house salad and bison chili. The steak was cooked the way I liked and it was very flavorful and juicy. The plate they serve it on comes straight out of the oven so it is really hot so be careful. Wife had a filet and Mac n cheese. Hers was very good as well. Riley was our server and she was great. She even writes her name on the paper that covers the table. Did I mention she writes in it cursive UPSIDE DOWN? 😂
Sduk3406 — Google review
We ordered a 6 Oz fillet and a 7 Oz sirloin steak. The filet was a little over cooked for my wife's liking the great waitress insisted on having another prepared and a perfect medium rare was on the table in 15 minutes! Excellent flavor, for both steaks; several choices for side dish, which were excellent also! Service was great! And best news was a chop and rib house is coming to our city soon! We will definitely be going back!

Specialty Museums
The Cheyenne Depot Museum is a captivating all-ages attraction dedicated to the Union Pacific Railroad. Housed in the historic 1887 Cheyenne Depot, it offers a glimpse into the golden age of train travel and the role of the railroad in shaping the American West. Visitors can explore photographs, artifacts, and documents that chronicle life in Cheyenne during the railroad boom of the late 1800s.
I really had a great time at this museum and learned so much! The signs are very text heavy, and probably would not be of interest to younger visitors, but they do provide a great deal of background and context for the artifacts in the museum. A trip to this museum really showcases the train history of Cheyenne and how important the union pacific railway and depot were to the growth of the city. I think kids would like this museum quite a bit. There is a train for them to play with downstairs and an extraordinary model train upstairs. The observation deck on the second floor gives you a fabulous view of trains as they enter and depart the train yard. The $10 adult admission price was more than fair. We spent about an hour this museum. There’s plenty of parking and there are clean accessible restrooms on the floors.
LS S — Google review
Definitely stop by even if you aren't into trains. Very insightful. Down side is there weren't any trains to look at or tour. So kinda of a let down. The other big boy was at a park a few miles away and fenced off and homeless people hanging around so had to make it quick to see the train.
Scott N — Google review
Small museum inside the historic Cheyenne Train Station. The museum only covers a small portion of the station with the large waiting room coming the most sq feet. This makes for a great quick stop if you are in the area.

This museum is full of information related to building the Union Pacific through Wyoming and its historical operation. A great HO model is upstairs. Adults are $10. Plan to spend 90 minutes there.

Sanford's Grub & Pub is a local chain known for its lively atmosphere and eclectic decor. Customers can enjoy -pound sirloin burgers with various toppings, such as slow-smoked barbecue pulled pork and ghost pepper jack cheese or blue cheese and roasted garlic.
5 stars all around! Our server Chris was down to earth, helpful, and clearly takes pride in his work. She spoke highly of the owner, going on to say he’d never work anywhere else. That speaks volumes about a company. The food… NEXT LEVEL AMAZING! We live in MT and may just center our next family vacation around this establishment and town. Thank you Sanfords, Chris and Cheyenne, WY!

While driving across I-80 with my Beautiful Bride and our youngest, we saw a sign for a “Testicle Festival.” Given the area at the time, we figured it was probably turkey, but it sparked a conversation about the Rocky Mountain variety. That eventually led us to finding Sanford’s Grub & Pub as we passed through Cheyenne. My bride and youngest had never tried them before, so we figured, why not? We arrived during the dinner rush and waited about 25 minutes, not bad considering how packed the place was. The interior was an eclectic, nostalgic feast for the eyes, with something interesting on every wall. The menu was extensive, almost overwhelming, with a Cajun influence and plenty of mouthwatering choices. They also had a large draft beer selection and specialty cocktails. We ordered a soda for the kiddo, a beer for me, and a huckleberry margarita for my Bride, along with an appetizer of oysters and fries (still keeping the surprise from our youngest). The oysters and fries came out hot, served with brown gravy and cocktail sauce on the side. The breading was the dominant flavor, and the texture was the traditional, for lack of a better word, "calamari" feel. I thought they were tasty. My bride found the breading a bit heavy, while our youngest enjoyed them… until we revealed what they were. After that, he said they were “just okay,” though he kept eating them! For our main dish, my bride and I split the “Hot As& Miss Piggy” with sweet potato fries. Thankfully, our waitress let us know it usually comes topped with powdered sugar and honey butter. We opted out of the sugar and got the butter on the side. The pork and beef were both flavorful, and the patty was cooked to order. The sauce and cheese made it a bit too spicy for my bride, but I enjoyed it. We both agreed on a menu this big, a straight-up pulled pork sandwich would be a great addition. The sweet potato fries were delicious on their own, but dipping them in the honey butter added a fun twist. We were still glad we got it on the side. Our youngest ordered a smash burger with onion rings. The burger was well-seasoned and cooked to order—simple and tasty. The onion rings were piled high, lightly breaded, a little greasy, but still good. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience. Between the food, the drinks, and the décor, there’s so much going on at Sanford’s that it would take multiple visits to soak it all in.

3 sirloins of 4 steaks were dry. The upgraded rib eye wasn't dry. The bread is NOT fry bread. It is a deep-fried hoagie. Tastes good but misrepresented as fry bread in this neck of the woods where there is authentic fry bread. There was plenty of food. Salad was good. Fries good. Service great. Atmosphere out the wahoo.
K M — Google review
Ah there's so much stuff in this restaurant that it's a world of it's own. Is it a tourist trap? Yes. Is it worth it? Totally! Even though the rocky mountain oysters were dry and nearly bland, at least they have good texture and are not greasy. They come with cocktail sauce and gravy for dipping. They also have bottomless fries and sweet potato fries, and that's just with appetizers. Sweet potato fries are treated like desserts as evidenced by the powdered sugar on top with cinnamon butter. If you order a meal, you get bottomless onion rings. Whatever flaws you may find in your experience here, they always have something to make up for that. And if you are interested, you can do a bit of gambling in the back and they even have a game room too. This is a place worth checking out! Also, free peanuts being passed around here! So if you are allergic to nuts, you may want to either avoid the bar or let your server know. Otherwise, fun place to chill anywhere! Oh and if you like beer, they serve them in jars.

We (my family and I )were visiting Cheyenne Wyoming and asked a local about a good place to eat. So he told us about Sanfords Grub and Pub. We're so glad he did. From the food to the decor to the owner , everything was awesome. We got huge portions ( had to get to go boxes) and the service was really great.

Cool little place with plenty of charm and personality. The menu is a HUGE and they've got a little bit of everything. I had Mama Odie's Chicken Melt (or some variation of that wording) and it was spectacular. I forgot to take a picture of it before I started eating, it was that good, lol! We also had poutine to start and it came out super fast and was delicious as well. If we ever make it back this way, we are for sure stopping back by!

Visitors can explore a wide range of exhibits, from showcasing the National Park Service to delving into the state's topography and highlighting local artists.
The place is kinda old, a bit dusty. But the experience was good. I met this old man with his daughter, they seem to enjoy the place a lot like they haven’t been in a museum for a while.

Good museum to learn to about Wyomings history. It's just not the biggest, so don't count on spending hours there. The layout of the museum also wasn't really chronological, so there really wasn't a right way to go through it. Admission is free, which is a big plus.

This is probably one of the cleanest welcome centers I've ever been to. The people who man it are very friendly and will give you as much information as you ask for. You can also find plenty of pamphlets for things to do here in Wyoming, which is helpful for those of us who are new here or visiting. It also has a small museum inside of it that gives a brief history of Wyoming and things to do (camping, hiking etc) The restrooms themselves are also clean and smell nice. The parking was a bit challenging on a busy day but there are plenty of spaces to choose from and the outside area is cleaned as well.

A Small and Fun Adventure Perfect place for a stop before going home. The restrooms are VERY clean and the Museum is perfect, family friendly. Well taken care of, plenty of nice open space to explore. They have a really nice walking path for those that needs a good stretch of their legs out ones with pets. The pet area is nice, big, and constructed in a cool and unique way.

Beautiful building, clean restrooms, incredible and creative interpretive displays. Very impressive. They even have a dog park! They only had one vending machine- with beverages only- and it was not working. Wish they had snacks also. One complaint about a design element: the fencing around the dog park should be changed to a different style. Whenever I (as an LGBTQ visitor) see that X-shaped fencing, all I can see is Matthew Shepard...something that Wyoming probably does not want to continue to be known for, I suspect. A more cynical visitor might take the inclusion of that style of fencing at the Welcome Center as a not-so-subtle reminder that LGBTQ people are not welcome here. I doubt that was true when this Center was designed but they might want to consider changing the fencing if they want LGBTQ visitors to feel safe and welcomed to Wyoming.

From the minute, we walked in the workers were great. Walked us through menu. Told us the monthly special I got the double D double burger. It was pretty tasty. The beef is real not frozen coworker got barnyard burger, and an order of the mushrooms. Mushrooms were really good and the ranch! while waiting on the food, the man at the door told me a little history about the place. Very fun experience, thank you.

It’s just like a fast food place where you order at the entrance and then take a seat at a table. The food comes out shortly after ordering. I had the taco salad and my husband had the green chili burger—both were absolutely perfect and delicious. Unfortunately, the spaghetti from the kids’ menu didn’t win over our child. There wasn’t a specific server assigned to our table, but many staff members provided fast and efficient service. Everything was perfect. If it were just a little closer to Colorado, I think I’d come here often.

Nice place, you order at the counter and they bring your food. They come around often to offer refill and clear table. We had pasta and both dishes were really good, much better than expected considering they are primarily a burger place. Although they are known for burgers, they have nice other options. Our pasta came with a side salad that was larger than most. Very pleased!

This was my first time I WY. After our tour at the train depot they recommended this place and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend the barnyard burger. The bottomless fries are also a great treat. They are always fresh and perfectly seasoned. The staff was really helpful and very attentive. Parking is a little challenging right next to the restaurant however there is a parking lot across the street. If you are in the area and are really hungry, this place will satisfy your burger craving

This place is approximately AMAZING! The food was very tasty and timely. The service from the second we walked in the door was above and beyond anything we have experienced anywhere else. My wife has a service dog and they even brought her dog a "dog bowl" with water. The Atmosphere was welcoming.

American restaurant
"The Albany" is a historic restaurant and bar in Cheyenne, serving American cuisine since 1942. It's a popular spot among locals due to its extensive food and beverage selection. The restaurant offers a majestic view of the Union Pacific train station, adding to its charm. With plenty of seating, it provides a warm atmosphere for guests to unwind and enjoy a wide range of draft and bottled beers. In addition to being a restaurant, it also houses a full bar and package liquor side.
When something is so good that you don't know where to start. I had been driving for hours and decided to stop and have a proper meal because I've been eating junk food the whole time. I saw this place and it looked really cute, it was next to the old train station which had a coffee shop in it so I figured I could eat and then grab a coffee before hitting the road again. The server was extremely friendly, and the food was delicious! I got a bacon cheeseburger and a side of onion rings, the burger was delicious and had a ton of bacon on it! It came with all the toppings I could want on the side, I think the pickles may even have been hand cut.... And the onion rings were some of the best onion rings I've ever had! Everything was great and both the servers who were working were extremely nice. It is an older saloon type looking place, but super charming with a ton of pictures of Cheyenne back in its heyday. I absolutely loved it and would definitely stop there again if I were going through that way. I suggest you do the same.

This is the kind of place that I miss. We used to have diners like this in Tacoma but as the city grew they all got pushed out for places like Denny's. Prices are really good, our total was under 30 bucks for lunch and drinks. Service was kind of slow but they were really busy too. I had the French dip and my wife had the turkey sandwich both of us really enjoyed our meal. I would just like to bring back the places that have the daily specials and the homemade soups and you don't find that back home in Washington that often.

Chicken fried steak was outstanding. It was breaded like my grandmother did. The fish and chips were also very good. The place was full but service was very good. Creme brûlée had the perfect crunch to the top and was wonderful for dessert.

First time coming and ordered myself a prime rib with soup of the day and I chose a baked potatoes as my sise. My husband got the NY strip with fries and soup. Everything was delicious, didn't even take pictures of the main meal because we were so excited. Ordered a lemon drop cocktail for my meal for a little sweet kick but also absolutely loved the vibe of the place. Located in the downtown region near so many cute shops and statues it adds to its character and charm and you can feel the historical side from the restaurant and surrounding areas. Definitely recommend to come at least once.

The prime rib sandwich was amazing! Waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere of this historic restaurant was fun and inviting. Great local spot if you are visiting town as a tourist like we were. 5/5 stars.
Brady K — Google review
I rarely rate restaurants, but this place is especially good, for the price. Service was an 11/10, both wait staff and bar tender were excellent. Food was a 5/5. We both had Prime Rib, medium rare, and it was medium rare. So if you order rare, be aware that it will be rare. The prime rib was good to excellent, mashed potatoes were good and the green beans excellent. Prices are less than what you would expect. Atmosphere, typical old restaurant that your parents went to. (We are 68 & 69). Surprisingly there were four or five vegetarian entrees available. Now the menu is very upfront, they make sure you are aware of what you are ordering. If we are ever back in Cheyenne this place is on our list!

We were traveling to Califirnia and were weary and hungry. This place is in an older building. It had a great atmosphere with thick wooden booths with high backs that I love. Food was great. Wait people were friendly and helpful. Service was good and food tasty. They brought a small container with several kinds of tea for us to select. Would go back again if we ever travel to that town again.

Pizza restaurant
Hambones Pizza in Cheyenne is a must-visit spot for pizza lovers. The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious options on their menu, making it difficult to choose just one. Customers praise the quick delivery and hot pizzas, with only occasional minor mistakes in orders. The crust of their pizzas, whether hand-tossed or NY thin, is described as amazing - fluffy and tasty without being too greasy. Their cinnabones and chocolate chip cookie pizza are highly recommended for dessert.
I gave a 3 for atmosphere only because it is really a take out for the most part. They do have a table and a bar area and could seat about 10 pp if needed. The food - we had buffalo wings (excellent), the jalapeño popper roll (scrumptious) and thin crust pizza loaded (very good). The service was great. The guy was so patient while we decided what we wanted. Highly recommend if wanting pizza, wings and more! Sorry no wing pictures. We devoured them.

Staying at a hotel/resort and was recommended this place over Domino's, so glad I ordered here. Pizza was a lot better than a Domino's pizza and the prices are very reasonable !! I also had the Cesar salad and wings both were excellent ! Salad size was large. They also deliver !!

We placed a carry out order. The person who answered the phone was polite and efficient with taking our order. We were told it would be 30 to 40 minutes for pick up. This was an acceptable time and when we arrived at 30 minutes the pizzas were just coming out of the oven. Our order was correct and the pizzas were very good. The dough was fresh, toppings were plentiful and evenly distributed across the pie. The cuts were even which is a huge "thing" with us. We are not happy when a pizza is cut carelessly with some pieces huge and others are tiny. Overall, we were 100/100 happy with this visit.

We found this lil gem of a pizza place on our travels. I am so glad we did! The food was delicious the service was exceptional and the lil shop’s atmosphere, while small was warm and inviting. Also, they had some cool merch!

Pizza was alright, not great in my opinion. I'm not a fan of melted cheese over the ingredients. It hides the ingredients and. makes it hard to tell how much and visualize the quality of such. Wings were OK, not a fan of wings being coated with flower. I like my wings naked with just the sauce. No blue cheese dipping dressing. Price was reasonable compared to other places.

Best pizza ive had in town. I have had hit or miss with the specials. Where they don't put enough cheese for all the toppings and it's a lot of sauce. Otherwise the cheese and pepperoni only pizzas are incredible.

We ordered deliver of the Hambones Supreme pizza. It was delicious. We loved the crust and all the toppings we agreed that it was the best pizza we've had in a very long time.

Hands down some of the best pizza i’ve had! Actually so delicious, I love the unique options. We got delivery and they were pretty fast, nice and warm too! The pizza with the cream cheese was soooo good!

Pizza restaurant
Bella Fuoco Wood-fired Pizza is a popular spot known for its classic Italian fare and rustic pizzas. What started as a food truck with a fully operational wood-fired oven has now evolved into a cozy turn-of-the-century home where fresh pies, calzones, and paninis are served. The menu also includes soups, salads, pastas, and starters like duck wings.
Absolutely great! I called an order in while traveling through and was greeted with great service. When I arrived, I was again greeted with great service and my food was ready. Both the pizza and cheese bread were great! I will definitely keep this place on the list for next time I’m in the area.

Exceptional food-great atmosphere. We had pear and Gorgonzola ravioli in brown butter, lasagna pizza and the Caesar salad. Everything was delicious! Must try the mascarpone dessert. Walked away VERY happy.

Excellent and delicious wood fired pizza in an adorable, cozy little house that invites you in with its bright flower garden in front. Ingredients are fresh and authentic. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Prices are reasonable for the excellent quality. They have indoor and patio seating. I also had a lasagna calzone which was full of flavorful Italian sausage and cheeses. Highly recommend this place in downtown Cheyenne.

Let us start with the appetizer; the Breaded Cheese Ravioli were excellent. They were crispy on the outside and hot and chewy inside. One might say the pizza was fire... They produce an excellent Marinara in house. Combine that with their crust, Italian sausage and the cherry peppers, and you end up with a pizza that rivals a wood fired pizza I had in Syracusa, Sicily. This pizza experience is in my top three. I cannot recommend it any higher than you have got to try it out.

We showed up about 5 minutes after opening on Friday, July 25th, after watching the rodeo. They were already full, no room for 2, indoors. There had just been a huge thunderstorm so we weren't sure about sitting outside. That's all they had so we accepted the table outside. I'm so glad we did. Their staff was rushing to wipe down all the tables and chairs and get everything set up for dinner service. We had a nice little table on the edge of their super cute back patio. Thankfully it didn't rain anymore, in fact the sun was blazing. Our waitress was there quickly. We loved her service and personality. She mentioned getting ready to go off to University of Montana soon. She was so sweet, I was ready to adopt her into the family. She had waters and then drinks in front of us right away. We ordered the veggie galore, add Italian sausage. The pizza showed up without a long wait and it was beautiful. The crust was perfect, crisp on the bottom and chewy. The toppings were delicious. It's not them it's me ... but I'd have been happy with a bit more toppings. They have a fantastic sauce. We were very happy with this place. If we're ever in Cheyenne again, we will definitely return.

Went to Wyoming to visit newly settled family. What a treat after a full day of sight seeing. Unique setting, cozy home but the real treat was the patio. Tried a couple of their signature pizzas, delicious, Greek salad was amazing. Wine selection was fantastic. Finished the evening with most scrumptious lemon berry mascarpone. Haven't even touched on the five star service. Had the sweetest server, Brenna. We will definitely be back on our next visit.

the pizza could be more cooked i added a million ingredients // prob my fault salad good & cold, pizza tasty on a cold rainy fall day

Great wood fired pizza and gluten free crust options as well. Wines are OK. Menu options generally are good, haven't had any pasta or salad options but you really can't go wrong with the pizzas. Excellent tiramisu. Very cozy place to eat on a cold night, but it packs up quick so plan on calling ahead to check for seating (or just get takeout). Street parking can be a pain at times.
