This place was so much fun!! It felt really nostalgic, and the food was great. We ordered the turkey club sandwich with fries and the chicken fried steak with gravy and hash browns. My sandwich was super fresh, and really delicious. The chicken fried steak gravy was fantastic, rich and full of flavor. The steak itself was pretty standard, but it still hit the spot. The only small downside was that some of the fries were undercooked. I could’ve asked for them to be cooked a bit longer, but it really wasn’t a big deal. I just took the leftovers home and crisped them up in the oven. Even though Mel’s is a chain, they really capture the 1950s diner vibe in the best way. I’ve been to Ruby’s and Johnny Rockets plenty of times, but those places always feel a little too polished or corporate. Mel’s felt genuinely authentic. A true blast to the past! The decor, the music, and the mini jukeboxes at every table really make it special. (Bring some quarters if you want to pick a few classic tunes.) If you’re looking for a fun and relaxed spot to grab some classic comfort food, I definitely recommend trying Mel’s. It’s the kind of place where you can kick back, enjoy a good meal, and soak up a little bit of that 1950s diner charm. I’m already looking forward to going back. Also maybe this place felt EXTRA legit because it’s right down the street from Main St., Placerville (a charming little slice of small, home town goodness)! It gives ALL the historic feels.

Great tasting Mexican food. Lively atmosphere. Friendly and fast counter staff. Clean restaurant with clean restrooms. I took off a star for service as this place is self serve. Staff will take away dishes though after your meal. I had the taco bowl and it was filling and delicious.

I'm from Texas. We finally got an In-N-Out Burger a couple of years ago. While visiting California, we decided to eat there because "When in Rome..." And let me tell you...it was just as good, if not better. It's probably better. 🤔 The service is always great. The employees all seem to love where they work. Ask for the animal fries. They aren't on the menu but are fantastic! I also had grilled onions on my burger this time and was in heaven. Plus, the sunset in California just made everything that much better.

I don't eat at Round Table often, but when I do I expect it to taste exactly how I remember. This location delivered. The pizza was great! Service was quick and friendly as well. I couldn't ask for more.

I know that most, if not all the McDonald’s, went through some renovations, but this one is quite modern and seemed to be renovated just recently. It has a playroom for kids, which was pretty busy. The bathrooms were clean, they need to fix the doors though! There was a door handle that you could open the door with your foot, which is very handy! The service was good and efficient.

I haven't been to a jimboy's in over 10 years. Don't know why there isn't any of these in the Bay area, but that should change. Tacos are exactly how I remember them, they are the absolute best tacos. First time having a bean and cheese burrito and I must say better than any place you could get a bean and cheese burrito. I have to find one close to home.

Yummy burgers, tasty fries, fizzy soda. All the qualities of a great fast food restaurant. I didn't mind the slow servers, or the wait. Our cashier lady was very nice, and good at what she did. Took our orders no problem. My burger was so juicy and delicious, I got the ultimate Jack cheeseburger. Thinking about it makes my mouth water haha but my boyfriend got the buttery swiss Jack burger, he said that it could've been more melty but it was still good. The fries were crispy and hot, and the jalapeño poppers were on point. Keep it up Jack!

Good food, friendly staff. Had a burrito bowl and got a tortilla on the side. Made my own burrito and had enough left for a second.

Stopped here to grab dinner and got great service from the staff. They were all very welcoming and cool to talk to. Angelina who took our order was very nice and friendly and brought our food to our table which was so out of her way as I was expecting to hear our number called and I was happy to grab our food, but it was so appreciated. Thanks for having such great people working here and awesome service. I’ll definitely stop by again next time we’re around.

Cute little shop where you can get some authentic Mexican food. My husband and I loved the burrito and street tacos. Their meat is full of flavor! They’re reasonably priced. The only item I didn’t not care for was the Popusa. The popusa was dry and barely any filling, it had no flavor. I felt like I was just eating the base and nothing else. I’ve had better popusa. This place definitely seems to be best at tacos and burritos.
