Shopping mall
Shopping
Fashion Square Mall is a multi-level retail complex located in Saginaw, Michigan. It offers a wide range of shopping opportunities with department stores, boutiques, and sporting goods shops. The mall is home to popular stores like Macy's, H&M, JCPenney, American Eagle, and more. With over 100 specialty shops including Encore Shoes, Bath & Body Works, Hot Topic and Rue21 among others.
Nice and clean! Not a lot of stores open which was a little disappointing but overall had a good experience! The shoe department definitely didn’t disappoint!
Janelle S — Google review
What a disappointment. There are so few stores left open. This once bustling, thriving and fun mall was like a ghost town! Hardly worth visiting unless you have a specific store to visit that is still open. Sadly this is the only Rue 21 still open within driving distance to where I live. I fear with the status of this mall, it won't be for long.
Brenda G — Google review
The glory days of malls are not around anymore but this place still holds some of the charm. Please replace missing handicap stall door in men's restroom, I don't require the stall but those who do deserve the same as everyone.
Michael “ — Google review
Just like every mall, it's heartbreaking to enter them anymore. Malls used to be so full of life and socialness but not no more. This mall is like a ghost town however it was still very well maintained, cleaned, bathrooms are clean. It just sad to see the old times, the old good times lost to time.
Jeremy D — Google review
Comfortable mall, maintained. Half empty though, and it echoes fiercely in there as a result. Needs sound dampening or more open stores to stop sound carry, but, otherwise pretty decent to shop. Pleasant for a half dead mall.
Lorilei S — Google review
The mall is now so empty. The food court has a limited choice of two food places to eat. The mall has a children play area and a lot of play toys have been removed. It appears to be a ghost mall. This is sad. You can still get your nails, feet, ears pierced, and hair done in different stores in this mall... The mall is not inviting with shopping areas like high quality malls. They have Macy, JC penny, shoe depot, Jimmy Jazz, Victoria secrets, and bath and body works.....I know I missed a few stores....
Monique W — Google review
Horrible experience, I was followed by a security guard through every store I went to, and that made me feel very uncomfortable being that I recently transitioned and am insecure about my appearance. Don’t come here unless you want to get stalked by creepy security guards!!! never coming here again!!
Rick L — Google review
This place is so dead. I like a few stores, but there isn't even the train going anymore when we go. Needs to liven up a bit!

Stardust Entertainment Center is a vibrant hub of fun and excitement, offering a wide array of activities for visitors to enjoy. The center boasts a state-of-the-art bowling alley, an extensive video arcade with over 60 games, thrilling bumper cars, and four immersive escape rooms. Additionally, guests can engage in heart-pounding two-story laser tag battles. The facility has undergone an impressive renovation and features well-designed spaces that cater to individuals of all ages.
This place was a lot of fun for everyone in our family. With a large bar overlooking the arcades for parents to view there children while drinking some of there fantastic mixed drinks. Our kids had so much fun from Lazer tag to arcades to a movie style game. We enjoyed the escape room and even bowling. We'll be back soon for more entertainment. Awesome establishment.
Shaun R — Google review
The remodel is awesome. Saginaw has a mini Dave n Busters right in your backdoor. The private bowling area is awesome! Perfect for a party of any sort. Tons of video games for all ages to play. They even have bumper cars. Have a great time!
Angel C — Google review
Today our family decided to visit stardust because of the air quality and I couldn’t be more happy with our decision!!! The experience from the time we walked in until the time we left was phenomenal. I can’t thank the staff enough for the experience that was provided to both myself and my family!! We definitely will be back.:)
Emily K — Google review
The place was awesome, we had a great time. The bartender was very personable and was right there when I needed a refill. The only problem was that the Lazer tag group I was in got abandoned in the room you watch the video in for about 10-15 minutes and the same guy just walked away later on when asked about tickets. We didnt let him ruin our experience though and had a great time.
Mark O — Google review
This place used to be great to take my daughter. We got the unlimited card for $25. We come to find out that they removed the bumper cars and there's about 7 games she can play. We left after a half hour. Very disappointing experience.
Joe H — Google review
Great time visiting since they have remodeled. Beautifully thought out and so much fun. Laser tag, bumper cars, arcade games, bowling, and escape rooms. Everything was priced no different than an arcade entertainment center. We had a blast and their was so much to do. They have a great bar. Escape rooms are all different difficulty levels which makes it a lot of fun. Laser tag is 2 stories tall. Everything is handicapped accessible. All games are electronic with a card to add more money on and keep tickets electronic. We will be back for sure.
Nicole B — Google review
The bowling alley and the food was wonderful. Staff was helpful especially the lady cashier at the entrance. Only complaint is that the arcade had only half the machines working. Both air hockey tables were down and that was a big reason my husband and I did the arcade on top of bowling.
Heather S — Google review
We came to Stardust Entertainment Center for my daughter's birthday party. Lots for kids to entertain themselves with from Bumper Cars, Laser Tag and an escape room. Added with the arcade games makes for a awesome time for everyone. For the entertainment of 16 kids the price is worth it.

Specialty Museums
The Mid-Michigan Children's Museum in Saginaw, MI is a vibrant and interactive attraction designed for children under 10. With over 16,000 square feet of gallery space, kids can explore exhibits such as a sugar farm, learn about how cars work, and engage with water features and tactile objects. The museum offers a fun indoor playground experience for toddlers to big kids. Visitors can also enjoy the reasonably priced gift shop and private classroom-sized rooms.
My girls (ages 4, 8, and 9) had so much fun here. We spent about 4 hours and explored everything they had to offer, but the kids would've happily stayed longer. There is a good mix of fun, creative, and educational activities for all ages.
Amanda S — Google review
I’ve gone here a handful of times with my one year old. We like to explore the whole place and utilize the toddler spot. If you have a wic card it is $5 a person over the age of two and if you don’t it’s now $8. I’m pretty sure it was a bit cheaper when I first came around.
Anna B — Google review
This was SO fun! Our 5 year old was obsessed with all the conveyors (we thought it would be the water, which he also really enjoyed). So much to see and do, we could have easily spent 4+ hours there. We were there for 2 hours and had enough time to do everything he wanted. Worst part was leaving, he kept telling us he had "too much fun" abs didn't want to go.
Heather T — Google review
Lots of fun activities for littles! Something for all ages. Totally interactive, engaging and educational.
Janna P — Google review
May 2022: I went with my son and his entire Kindergarten class for their end of the year field trip, first time going here. I was surprised! What a cool place for the kiddos to let loose, play and have fun. It's basically a giant indoor playground. There's a cute gift shop with reasonably priced items, a few private classroom sized rooms, and a lot of interesting stuff for the kids to do. Toddlers to big kids would enjoy this place. Staff was super friendly. Clean environment. Recommend! January 2025: I had my 3 year olds birthday party here, how nice! I paid $190 for a really big private room, I could have up to 20 people and pay $5 per person if I went over the 20. The room had plenty of tables, chairs and even had a sink. I was able to bring in food and cake. I'll definitely do this again! The kids loved it.
Donna J — Google review
My family really had fun here. The gift store was reasonably priced and they had a cost room with lockers. Snacks were also available for purchase along with gift cards. Everything was operable and fun to interact with. The museum had Santa available seasonally and train track. We even played family hide and seek while we were here. It was a blast. Recommend!
Nicole K — Google review
Fun place for the kids. Although not so huge but kids can spend easily 1.5-2 hours indulging in all the activities indoors. Wasn’t crowded considering weekend, tickets are $8 per person (ages 2-59) and can be conveniently purchased at the counter. Had a great time!
Satyajit D — Google review
It was great for our first time. My 4 year old had a blast running around touching and playing with everything. Lots of hands on toys and gadgets for little ones. Some role playing costumes and toys as well. Would have loved to experience the water table but it had signs saying it was closed. We still enjoyed ourselves.

Located in Saginaw, Michigan, the Dow Event Center is a versatile indoor venue that includes The Arena, Huntington Event Park, The Red Room, The Theater, The Garden Room, and The Atrium. It has been home to various hockey teams and currently hosts the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League. Hosting a variety of events such as sporting events, concerts, exhibits, conventions and theater performances. Visitors can rent spaces within the center for their own events.
Very nice venue for shows. Downfall is they don't have elevators, if you are in balcony, and three flights of stairs are a workout for some. Seats are narrow too if you have a double or triple x sized adult. Lots of refreshment options, that you can take to your seat. Great conversation with Chevy Chase show. It brought back a lot of memories. My son liked the show, National Lampoons Christmas, too. First time he saw it!
Marla H — Google review
Went to the venue for the first time and wasn't impressed. When we got inside, we discovered there were lots of stairs. Stairs up to the balcony, stairs up to our seats when we got up to the balcony. Fine... stairs... but no elevator or even a ramp. Watching some of the older people try to climb all the way up was very disheartening. The rows were very poorly marked and several people ended up in the wrong seats because of this. In the top row, people were assigned seats that were clearly broken and they had to be moved. The performance was amazing, but I don't think I will ever return to the venue.
Amanda C — Google review
Amazing venue. You can't beat 6 bucks for parking, either. Staff were great and so clean.
Tony M — Google review
I have been to this venue multiple times. Parking ramp directly across the street, decent view no matter where you are seated, good amount of restrooms so you aren't waiting in a long line, staff are very friendly, lots of vendors for food and more. Wish there was a bit more leg room, but that's an issue at every large audience venue I've been to. Wouldn't hesitate going again.
E A — Google review
Concert was great. The person checking purses wouldn't let me in because my purse was 1/4 inch larger than the required size. I emptied the purse so the contents could be seen. Nope, had to take it back to my car
Kathy B — Google review
Great seats, even the nose bleeds aren't far away from the floor. All seats are good seats. Photos are from a concert in seats U16- Row R seats 6&7. Thank you, Vettix, for the seats. The hockey game photos are from E22- Row E in seat 10. $23 a seat in the executive seating. Coming soon is Spirit bench side photos.

Cool venue, parking garage across the street was convenient. Our group event was at one of the ends, yet had a nice view and the food provided and service was great. Nice family evening.

Home of the Saginaw Spirit OHL hockey team! Big, very recognizable building in the heart of downtown Saginaw! Lots of parking all around the venue, all reasonably priced, easy in and easy out. Located very close to the highway, so no wandering around Saginaw looking for a way home!

Cazadores Saginaw

Restaurant
Cazadores Saginaw, located at 4751 Fashion Square Mall in Saginaw, MI, offers a diverse menu of authentic and tex-mex Mexican cuisine. Visitors rave about the fresh chips and salsa with just the right amount of spice. The birria tacos are particularly popular for their amazing flavor, sauces, and presentation. Other recommended dishes include the three cheese enchiladas, spicy grilled chicken with flour tortillas, fajita parrillada, and Chile poblano.
I went back to this fine establishment today. The manager Keenan remembered my 1st visit and was very kind in our chat. He is a great asset to the business and I was happy to see him again. This time I tried the carne asada. It was a bit thin but served in large slices with plenty of grilled onions. Made some very tasty burritos with the plate on flour tortillas. My guest had shrimp nachos and loved them as well.
Daniel M — Google review
We had the best experience at Cazadores. We popped in right as they opened and the server was ready and happy to help us. We ordered a ton as we wanted extra to come home with. The queso fundito was fantastic, the tamales were delish, and my wife loved the burria tacos. 10/10 would recommend to anyone! It's so bright and colorful and the food is great. Excellent place to eat.
Allison B — Google review
The good was great! The cleanliness of the restaurant could be a lot better. Our server was ok. He forgot a lot of things and they weren't very busy. One of the servers (or maybe it was the owner) kept turning the volume up and down for the music. It was pretty annoying to be honest. We will be back to give them another shot, and to try some other things that looked amazing on the menu! The food was definitely worth giving then another try for sure. I had the fajitas and they did not disappoint.
Stephie K — Google review
Kaly did a great job ensuring we had everything we needed, our drinks did not run dry. Food was amazing and the $3 margaritas were really good as well.
Autumn S — Google review
I loved this place but they updated the menu and prices. No longer do they offer smaller sizes on some dishes. A combo is $21. My Mom's meat tasted old and my enchiladas rancheras were very salty. The music was too loud and clubby for a Sunday afternoon. Kinda dirty. For 2 people having a pop and 2 entrees it was $50. Too pricey for what it is. Bummed because I liked this place and supporting it but we probably won't go back. We were the only people when we left at 4 pm. Being in the Mall doesn't help because you have to risk the axle on your car breaking from the potholes...
Marcia H — Google review
Stopped in there tonight and was very pleasantly surprised. Fresh chips and salsa, the street tacos were delicious too! Definitely will be eating there more often. Great prices too
Synthia S — Google review
This was my first time to eat at Cazadores. I enjoyed the serving of tortilla chips and salsa. I liked the lingering heat from the salsa and the texture. This salsa was a blended salsa and not chunky. The salsa was brought to the table in a quart-sized pitcher. I had two full bowls of the salsa during the meal! The food was excellently flavored. The rice had a light smokey taste. The refried beans had a nice texture and moisture level. The chili sauce on the cheese enchiladas complimented the rest of the flavors on my plate. The server was attentive and pleasant. We had everything we needed. I enjoyed my meal. Next time I'm in Saginaw close to a meal time, you'll find me at Cazadores! I have been back now to the restaurant about 10 times. I have nothing but the best Mexican meals. I have learned to appreciate the Cinco de Mayo enchilada meal! The meal is served with two beef and two shredded chicken enchiladas, as well as steamed rice. I love the flavors of both the beef and chicken enchiladas! Tonight, I added a pork tamale; wonderful flavor! I know I will sound like a pig, but I had 2 1/2 bowls of salsa/chips, one of the chicken enchiladas, half of the rice, the pork tamale, and three glasses of brewed ice tea! Having grow up around excellent Mexican food in the American Southwest, I will simply conclude that Cazadores authentic Mexican food "holds their own" against any quality Mexican restaurant in the country. We tried the chicken fajitas tonight and they were wonderful. It was a great portion. They were flavorful. You cannot go wrong ordering the chicken fajitas!
Kelly C — Google review
We came here for the first time yesterday. Our server and the other employees were so sweet and wonderful. There is gorgeous artwork painted on the walls. The atmosphere is so vibrant and clean. I wish I would have taken more pics, but I was too busy looking at the art and plants and stuffing my face with the delicious food and mango margaritas. I can't wait to go back! The food looked even better in real life. I rushed the pic to dig in. 😆🩵

What a great experience! Took a good friend to lunch here and everything was excellent! Service was exceptional and very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the total experience. Our waitress named Jill was on point. She is the literal description of a good and efficient waitress. The food was pretty good, way too salty especially the Alfredo sauce we got with our breadsticks. My gluten free pasta was dry and too firm. But the cheesecake I ordered to go is why I’m leaving this review. Come on Olive Garden you can do better. It was a frozen slice with ice crystals on it obviously sliced from a Gordon’s frozen cheesecake it was trash I could’ve even eat it

Consistent well-made food every time! We always look forward to the all-you-can-eat soup and salad with freshly grated parmesean cheese and warm breadsticks. The addition of the chicken gnocchi soup was wonderful. Big roomy booths that can comfortably seat 6 and staff are always welcoming and happy to serve you.

American restaurant
Bringer Inn Inc is a no-frills diner that serves up generous portions of classic American comfort food. It's a family-friendly spot known for its hearty breakfast options like omelettes, traditional egg plates, pancakes, and French toast. The lunch menu features favorites such as the Big Mike burger and steak sandwich with mushrooms. This popular and budget-friendly eatery also offers a variety of beverages and caters to vegetarians.
The food was excellent, the ambiance was super casual and friendly like your neighborhood haunt, in the service was above and beyond. The waitress even thought my partner put a spoiled creamer in his coffee one that was supposed to be refrigerated but somehow made it to the table and she brought him a new coffee without him asking. The bacon tastes like something you get from the butcher count or not from the grocery store. The biscuits are homemade the sausage gravy has actual pieces of sausage in it and the cinnamon toast bread was delicious. I can see why this is a Saginaw staple. Next time I'm in the area, I plan to try lunch.

This was a great place to eat! It was a home felt environment. The food and service rendered was in a timely manner. " GOOD FOOD FOR THE PALLET!". The waitress Kate was Great! The cook Jim was amazing to watch as he cooked on an extremely large grill approximately 16 feet long. He's a master cheff wheeling his spatula around as if he was born with it. He magically cracked a dozen eggs with one hand and mixed with the other. He was incredible to watch. I noticed that they had 3 cooking stations. They were very efficient while serving customers that were seated and those wgo were ordering to go. This was a great place to eat at. As an out of town guy. This was a great place to eat!!!!!

We had breakfast catered for our team, and everything was fantastic! The restaurant went above and beyond — they normally open at 7 AM, but made special accommodations so I could pick up the order at 6:30. The portions were massive, the food was excellent, and the entire team loved it. We had several out-of-town employees visiting, and I’m pretty sure this breakfast earned you a few new future customers. Unfortunately, no pictures of the food were taken — but chef’s kiss — it was that good! Thank you Jessie, Kate, and Neil (and the rest of the team) for taking such great care of us and helping start our day with some incredible food!

We were treated to lunch here by a friend. I liked that it felt like the sort of place that my grandma would've loved eating at back in the day, but it felt like it was maybe past it's prime a bit. Nothing I can distinctly put my finger on but it had a chaotic feel to it that wasn't just "lunch rush" Service was pretty good. Food was alright. Pretty standard fare :)

We were on our way home and were looking for a great local breakfast spot. As usual the reviews on Google Maps took is to a great spot. The restaurant was just a quick jump off the freeway. There was plenty of parking. The food was great. The portions were huge, plenty for another day. The make your own omelette was excellent. The coffee was perfect. The cup was never empty. Jake's Old City Grill is a stylish and sophisticated restaurant located in Saginaw, offering a comprehensive menu of classic yet modern dishes including pasta, seafood, steaks, and vegetarian options. With its ample wine list and personalized service, Jake's Old City Grill is perfect for both casual outings with family and friends as well as intimate dates.
Very elegant restaurant that has preserved the history of the restaurant with the original owner's (Jake's) picture on the wall. The current owner (Paul) is very friendly and makes sure your dining experience is up to your standards. Food was professionally prepared and very delicious, including the salad and delectable chocolate truffle cake. The waiter, (Ben) recommended the orange creamsicle martini and it was the best martini I've had. I was celebrating a birthday and I immediately felt relaxed and special while dining here. Thank you, Jake's team! We will be back.

Excellent steak restaurant. We were visiting town and looked for somewhere that had good steak and seafood and this was it. I chose the sirloin with shrimp. The meat was cooked exactly how I requested it. The shrimp were good sized and very tasty. I had a Caesar salad to start with and it was perfect, Not too dry..Not too wet. The service was good. The server had great recommendations for us and she was very kind and attentive.

I have dined here at least 4 times before deciding to review. Sometimes second chances make a difference. Not here. The staff is allowed to carry their problems and poor attitudes to work with them because the owner does as well. No one smiled, and one of my visits was on Valentine’s Day!! People were proposing and having special times only to look at sour pusses all night. Not a kind word was spoken, the food arrived slowly and was cold. The potatoes were scorched, steak was supposed to be medium rare it was well done and leathery. Our vegetables were D.O.A. Long story short visiting this restaurant can end up being a very expensive mistake. The owner even asked me and the couple I was hosting to leave 5 minutes before closing stating the staff needed to get home to their families. I thought since there was no other diners at the restaurant that they might want the business. We had no special requests and were actually mourning the loss of a friend so we were quietly eating and asked to leave. I don’t think people who looked like us were welcome.

Jake's was recommended by our inn in Saginaw and we were happy that they did. Our food was fantastic (hard to find yellow lake perch where we come from) and the service was outstanding. But the best part of dinner was when Paul, the owner, came over to our table and said, "You two are too quiet over here." This grew into a friendly tableside conversation. He then went on to each of the other tables to check on the rest of the patrons. After dinner we found Paul to tell him how much we enjoyed dinner and he shared much of the restaurant's 20 year history, including photos of the renovation construction turning a former bank building into its current form. All in all a great evening.

Waited on food for almost an hour. Waitress kept telling us how crazy it was, however 2 tables of people who came in after us had gotten their meals and were done and leaving before we got ours. Husbands meal was missing one of the sides that we unfortunately could not wait for as we had a show to get to (we arrived at 4:45 and had to rush to make a local 7:00 show). Most of us were satisfied with the food we ordered, but unfortunately didn’t have much time to actually enjoy it.

We had the seared ahi as an appetizer it was delicious the Cesar salad we had before our meal was delicious and fresh we got the sea bass and lamb chops and split the plate it was amazing. It's pricey but the flavor reflects the price and I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for something delicious with no budget. If you're looking for the cheaper side they have other things as well that are only 15-20 a plate. The waitress we had was great and she helped us with everything we needed.

This place is amazing! The owner was so much fun and kept checking on us. He taught us some history about the building and seemed very passionate about his restaurant. Our waitress was awesome, and the food was so good! The whole experience was 10/10. Highly recommend.

Love coming here. Nice atmosphere. Great food and service with owner visiting tables. Drinks and food are top notch. Definitely on my short list. We came for our anniversary. 53 years. Did you know that they have an anniversary registration where you sign up and then get the years married as a percentage off one of your meals? Definitely worth a try.

Zoos & Aquariums
Saginaw Children's Zoo is a regional destination offering interactive exhibits with 150 animals, 80 gardens, and a hand-painted carousel. The zoo celebrates nature, wildlife, and lifelong discovery through affordable and engaging experiences. Visitors can also enjoy events for children at the Dow Event Center such as Baby Shark Live! and popular children's plays. Additionally, the zoo offers an opportunity to learn about the history of Saginaw through its three levels of exhibits.
Such a great little version of a zoo for younger kids who don't have a great attention span yet. They had such a blast being able to switch from animal watching to playing on the playground and then getting a snack. Everything is very reasonably priced for an "attraction" style activity. Definitely would recommend if you're in the area.

This zoo is small in size but had a great variety of animals! Perfect to take smaller kids and get to see everything in one day! Zoo was clean and well kept, staff were friendly and helpful! They have a restaurant, gift shop, carousel, and train ride! Lots of hand washing stations that were nice to have and bathrooms were clean! Would recommend for any age! All the different gardens that people or places sponsor were cool to check out also!

They have crockigators lol 😆 the habitats were clean. The main pond was drained like a mosh pit or lagoon 😇 we got to pet the goats for free 🐐 it was a fun experience. Would go again!

Well maintained zoo in Saginaw that has a nice variety of animals. Caretakers keeps the facilities clean and the animals seem to be happy and enjoying the visitors. Nice train for little kids to to see the entire zoo. Has concessions for a lunch if you did not bring your own. Enjoyed my time there.

Super cheap (got in for $6 a person!), cute little place to take your kids to explore, and even have a park and sand pit. Their gardeners need applause as well its so beautiful everywhere you look! They dont have things on display to buy so you dont spend money like other places (unless you go into the store). Loved it will def come again.
Charlotte T — Google review
Very cute little zoo! I was shocked at how pretty it was and how close up you got to the animals. Plus its only $8 to get in if you're not a local resident. The train ride was cute and there was a nice pond in the middle. Definitely would revisit in the future

Fralia's in Saginaw is a popular dining spot known for its delectable dishes made with locally sourced ingredients and presented artfully. The menu features mouthwatering steaks, fresh salads, and decadent pastries crafted by a talented culinary team. Located in Old Town, this cozy cafe offers a range of sandwiches, salads, soups, and sweet treats to suit various tastes.
We've all had sandwiches and subs before, we'll let me tell you. This place took it too a whole new level and new to me but great to those who've had it. Amazing and delicious food and clean all the way around. Restrooms are attended too and wheel chair accessibility is a +.Priced just right. Employees with wonderful smiles and attitudes to go along with this trip. Frailia's where have you been all my life?

We discovered Fralia's partway through our trip to Saginaw and wish we would have found it sooner! There service is amazing, and the staff is very friendly. Their goat cheese salad was out of this world, and their flank steak sandwich is the best sandwich I have ever had. They also make a fantastic Georgia reuben and a delicious meat loaf sandwich! Their desserts are amazing, they have the best key lime pie ever. The restaurant's interior is beautiful, and the outdoor seating is lovely. 10,000/10 stars.

Not Fralias fault, but when these old Saginaw buildings were built, it was all brick with high tiled ceilings. Back when there was a customer or two this worked, but in our modern era has produced an echo chamber- made worse by everyone HAVING to communicate on cell phones. Clientele is couples, professionals, and the health conscious. That being said one felt very safe there, which does not hold mere blocks away. Worth something. Food was fresh and tasty. Keep in mind the online menu needs updating and prices have increased approximately $5 between the two. All in all, a big thumbs up!

If you're in the area I highly recommend this downtown spot for lunch. Great menu with salads and a lot of sandwiches options. Check out their specials! Clean, vintage vibes, not too loud, with old school paper covered cafe tables.

Simply outstanding deli with excellent fresh sandwiches and salads. Fralia’s sandwiches are some of the best I’ve had anywhere in Michigan. They have fresh artisan bread, boar’s head quality meats and cheeses, and delightful accoutrements. Select from one of about 20 options or build your own. I haven’t had a salad, but those look pretty great too. Order ahead or come in and place your order at the counter and find a place to sit. The ambiance is clean and comfortable , and the service is prompt and friendly. Do yourself a favor and visit this place today!

On our way back to NC from a trip to Canada, we decided to get off the interstate and try Fralia's for lunch. The ladies at the counter were so friendly and the atmosphere unique and fun (fresh flowers on tables, cute photos of various "stars" eating sandwiches - well done!). The sandwiches were great. All in all, well worth the few extra minutes it took us away from I-75.

Food excellent, service excellent, value hard to find. A cook not afraid of garlic. I do have a major complaint (just trying to get the owner going). What self-respecting italian joint doesnt have candles and checkered tabled clothes on the table? Cmon folks get it together.

Fralia's is the absolute best! There isn't too much around, but even if there was, we would pick this place every time!!! Everything is fresh & delicious! From sandwiches, salads, & cookies, you can't go wrong. Friendly staff, too! I had the Goodfella & asked for them to do just turkey for the meat choice & it was amazing!!! It's probably the best turkey pesto I've ever had! The focaccia bread is soft & flavorful! 10/10!

SVRC Marketplace, located in the historic Saginaw News building, is a hub for small businesses and eateries with a mission to support individuals facing employment and community access barriers. The marketplace hosts 24 different vendors offering a variety of products and cuisines. Visitors can enjoy New Orleans cuisine, caramel apples, novelty T-shirts, jewelry-making supplies, yarn, and more. One visitor praised Merna's eatery for its delicious chicken bacon ranch sandwich and friendly staff.
What a huge asset to our community. They offer so many different goods and services. I have been impressed all of the food vendors. Rachel, the manager, is very kind and helpful. We have also held meetings there. They have lots of space available.

Review for SVRC Marketplace - 4/26/2025 Today while working as a DoorDash driver, I had an unpleasant experience at the SVRC Marketplace while trying to locate a restaurant called “Bloom From Within.” The building has multiple businesses, and it can be confusing to navigate. While searching, I politely approached a worker at El Farolite to ask for help locating the restaurant, even showing the name on my phone. She quickly said she had never heard of it. After finding the restaurant myself, I passed by her establishment again and simply informed her where it was located, thinking it might be helpful in the future. Instead of a courteous response, I was met with hostility. She stated she “doesn’t care” and “doesn’t like people asking for directions,” and then falsely accused me of threatening her when I calmly responded to her rudeness. This kind of behavior is disappointing and unprofessional, especially in a marketplace that depends on customer traffic, delivery drivers, and a welcoming environment for all visitors. I hope the SVRC Marketplace encourages its vendors to maintain a more respectful attitude toward guests and workers who are there to support all businesses within the building. If I could, it would be no stars!
Terrance F — Google review
Absolute joke of a business. If I could give 0 stars I would. Most of the eateries are closed. The ones that are shockingly open are out of many menu items. Came out here for an event at the Dow Center and this was billed as a great place to shop and dine beforehand. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Unreal.

Wow. This market place is a nice step in the right direction. Progress and an attempt to bring back the love for downtown Saginaw. Don’t miss the small restaurant called “Saigon sandwich shop”. This place is a gem. Wow. Vietnamese cuisine right in downtown! Nice. The owner is very nice and loves to share his love of Vietnamese food. Make sure you try the Beef Banh MI. Highly recommended! We visited before a large event at the Dow Event Center. I don't want to give too negative a review as I'm sure on the average day this is an awesome marketplace, but if you're coming for a show then proceed with a little caution. The event sent an email out suggesting attendees come here. We visited on a Wednesday and arrived 1.5 hours before the show started (5:30pm). The marketplace was a little busy but not packed. We were disappointed that probably 1/3 to 1/2 of the food vendors were closed. Once we decided on a food option and got in line, the vendor announced that they were all out of food, and subsequently multiple other vendors announced the exact same thing. We still ended up eating at one of the last options with food available, but had I known this would be the experience I would have avoided this place entirely. We were originally excited for the offerings so it was a bit of a shame.

This is a very delicious, thick, and creamy smoothie I purchased in SVRC Marketplace near The Salad Bar by Soul Food Sistas. It's filled with some fruit, and a lil spinach! At first, you might think mmm, yet it's got some great tasty notes in this smoothie and very filling! Keep up the great work! And decent cost for the area! So yummy!

Artisan Urban Bistro is a top choice for fine dining in downtown Saginaw, MI. The restaurant features an open kitchen that offers a constantly changing menu with seasonal ingredients and innovative recipes. The interior is adorned with original artwork, creating a unique ambiance. Guests can enjoy an extensive wine list while being served by attentive staff. The owner and head chef personally ensures the quality of the food and the overall dining experience, making it stand out among other restaurants in Saginaw.
First time here with my friends and we loved it. There was a live guitarist playing beautifully and food was out of this world. On the more expensive side ($25/meal), but the quality and portions makes it worth it. Great vegetarian options with the spaghetti squash and eggplant parm. Our waitress was friendly and we highly recommend this place.

We came here on a Sunday for brunch - I was so happy they could fit us in without a reservation (highly recommend for future visits). The waitress was so friendly and made us feel very welcomed. We enjoyed the house mimosas to start and then ordered our main meals. My sister enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, and I had the cluckin dict (spicy eggs benedict). Portions were large, and everything was very flavorful. The meals came out quickly and were cooked fresh to order. Prices were very reasonable - overall, a great local place!

I took my mom and sister here for Saturday brunch before checking out some local museums. Server was very nice and the chef came over after our meal to listen to what we thought about the food. Staff was very enthusiastic about the food and seemed to genuinely enjoy working there. We are crepes, the ricotta toast and the croissant breakfast sandwich. Prices were fair and portions were good. We really enjoyed ourselves. The peach mimosa was also delicious, but deceptively strong! I would recommend this place to friends and would like to return if I'm in the area again!

A must try! My friends and I were in town and stumbled upon this unique, quaint restaurant. With only 10 tables, an open kitchen and incredible wait staff, we were beyond pleased! The owner even sat with us for a bit during dinner and shared more about the restaurant! All of that plus INCREDIBLE food for an even better price! A reservation is recommended but we didn’t know that and got a table! The rosemary Parmesan fries and the muscle pasta are both a must!

Artisan Urban Bistro: A 5-star revelation of flavor, especially the Beef Roast Skillet Artisan Urban Bistro is truly a culinary gem in Saginaw, offering a dining experience that's both intimately cozy and remarkably sophisticated. It's a place where you're not just eating, you're savoring the artistry that goes into each dish. While the entire menu impresses with its fresh, seasonal ingredients and European flair, the Beef Roast Skillet is an absolute standout. The beef is cooked to perfection – incredibly tender and flavorful, practically melting in your mouth. But it’s the rich, aromatic sauce that truly elevates this dish to legendary status

Absolutely outstanding brunch in a charming setting and reasonable prices. The owner came around and chatted with us; very nice and efficient staff, and the kitchen was on point. My wife had the shrimp and grits, I had the bistro sandwich - both were excellent. Go here, you won't be disappointed.

This place was an unexpected gem. We came for sandwiches and left with full hearts—and a rainbow crumble dessert, gifted by the lovely staff. The Slim Bob was the sandwich of our dreams: fresh, flavorful, and totally hit the spot. But the real cherry on top? How incredibly dog-friendly they are. We brought our puppy hoping to sit outside, and instead found ourselves welcomed like locals. Everyone was kind, the vibe was warm, and it’s clear Valerie’s is built on care—for food, for people, and for pups. If you’re ever in Saginaw, do yourself a favor and stop in. Overwhelmed with the vibe and decor as soon as we pulled up curbside! I've heard so many good things about Valerie's, and she did not disappoint! The dog's name is Cado, like Avocado! We had the chicken soup for an appetizer, and it's amazing! Way different profile than I'm used to, slightly acidic in a good way! Adding the crackers really set it off. Thank you for your amazing spirit, Valerie and fam!

I always seen this restaurant but never stopped until I had to go to Erica flowers and needed change to purchase the flowers for my aunt funeral. To my surprise I ordered the taco salad it b was just the way I like it in a shell bowl, nice and crispy and also got the soft tacos for my husband which he loved as well. We will be returning my husband and I for a play date and I told my family and friends about Valeries that they really should try to go there. The owner was really nice and friendly.

Just waking in, we noticed bright smiles and a welcoming environment. The waitress and owner were more than accommodating (gluten allergy and more). The dog was the best help, the food was cheap and absolutely AMAZING and we sat outside where the view and breeze was perfect. Thank you for making our experience so special. As a Valerie, it felt appropriate to eat at such an incredible restaurant. I also bought merchandise and got a STEAL. My coworkers and I went for lunch on our hour break. When we entered, we were seated immediately in a cute courtyard. After receiving our drinks, it took a little longer than normal to place our food orders, and the over-40-minute wait for sandwiches was disappointing, especially when it wasn't busy. We spent most of our lunch break just waiting for our food, and then had to scarf it down to get back to work in time. Even though the food was tasty, it wasn't THAT great. The food quantity for the price also wasn't worth it compared to similar restaurants. One of my coworkers even found a hair in her food, which doesn't help the experience.

Was in town for just a night and this was a great place to get a one and done meal. It was easy to find, street parking was easy, and the food was solid! The burger was great and the fries were seasoned extremely well. Not sure when I’ll be in town again, but I’d be happy to come back!

Strange experience. My group’s food came out at all different times. Another gal in my group ordered the same dip as me, the red pepper goat cheese dip. Except mine came out first and her’s came out last, when everyone was finishing their meals. Her dip looked and tasted completely different than mine. Mine had no goat cheese flavor and was gritty, but her’s was creamy and had noticeable goat cheese flavor. I usually never speak up but $14 for a dip that seemed to be the wrong thing I ordered is a total bummer. Everyone in the group agreed they most likely accidentally gave me the hummus instead. So I asked our server, Charles, if they may have accidentally gave me the hummus. He barely looked at them and said, “nope, your’s is the goat cheese too.” I said, “oh, well just the texture and taste is a lot different than her’s?” Hoping he may take another look. He continued to say they’re the same, just came out of different containers? I did not eat the dip, just snacked on the bread that came with it, which was delicious. But not worth $14. 😅 I did enjoy the firecracker shrimp, great flavor. Wish the issue had a better resolve. All of our dips came out cold as well? Maybe it was our fault for assuming these would be warm. Photos of the visibly different dips below.

The food was delicious. There are many entrées to try on the menu it's hard to pick just one. Looked to be a trendy place and it was nice and clean. Service was great, no mistakes on our orders or empty drinks. Only giving stars 4 stars due to this annoying intentional snorting thing the server did every time she engaged in conversation.

Was purely accidental. Was heading to Old town distillery but they dont serve food yet. Walked in and immediately felt at home. Very attentive staff, engaging, and helpful. LGBTQ friendly. Loved laughing and engaging. Very comfortable. Recommend the food, delicious. Above standards. If you are looking for good food, friendly staggered, excellent food....this is your place.

Ahi Tuna was great, ordered 2. Jamaican Jerk sliced steak was excellent but was expecting for spice than sweetness. The pork dish with asparagus was amazing. Can't wait to get back here. Great food.
