The Castle Museum of Saginaw County History, housed in a stunning French Renaissance Revival-style building from 1898, is a captivating destination in downtown Saginaw, Michigan. This historic site, formerly known as the Saginaw Post Office or Castle Station, is now home to the Saginaw County's Historical Society and offers visitors an immersive journey through local history.
This a wonderful place to visit if you love history and are into architecture. The building itself is gorgeous. The information found inside, and the way in which it is displayed, is a testament to the curators love for the city and history. There is a lot to read, as with any museum, and they have some hands on activities for the kids but not really someplace you want to take your kids if you want to benefit from all it has to offer. This was my first time and it does seem they are trying to be more kid friendly with the newer exhibits. The building was originally a post office and I was directed to begin at that exhibit. It was great. There is a look out and a talking portion that explains what you are seeing and why. The spiral stair cases and the coal mine exhibit were also my favorites. I like to touch things and I was happy that not every exhibit said do not touch. The logging exhibit smelled of fresh cut wood. A smell that triggers the child in me. I spent two and a half hours reading and learning about Saginaw, the surrounding area and even found a Western Michigan University Connection and a connection to the graduate class I am taking. I fully enjoyed my time there. I will have to go back because I was told they change out their exhibits every 3-6 months. Yay! Oh and it is only $3 if your from out of town. Free if you are a resident.
Karmella T — Google review
Very friendly and interesting place. The building is immaculate, and all three floors are effectively used with various collections detailed to transport you in time. A wide scope of material starting with the earliest Native American artifacts, through logging, coal mining, manufacturing, daily life, government, disasters, rebuilding, commerce, sports, etc. Parking is convenient. Choice of elevators or stairs.
Brenda B — Google review
Found this museum when looking for places to visit. It didn't disappoint. It was a cute building with lots of History to tell. Was perfect for day trip. There were some really cool buildings we noticed around the city as well. We went on a Sunday so not all places were open.
Heather P — Google review
It was a beautiful building. Learned a lot on our visit. The staff was super friendly and helped us explore. There are things for kids to do too so they aren't bored.
Sarah B — Google review
The building architecture is wonderful. The museum tells the history of Saginaw. I remember when I was a kid it was the main post office for the city. A little bit of nostalgia is nice
Mark M — Google review
This is such a nice museum, welll worth the stop. Real cheap at $3 per ticket. Nice historical items that really told the story of Saginaw and the local area. I will be making a video for my Youtube Channel. See our YouTube channel Coolest Life.
Anthony M — Google review
Great place to go to see historical finds. They even have a sports memorabilia section!!!
Kelly F — Google review
We loved this museum! The entry was $5 for my family of 5. I leaned so much about the rich history of Saginaw. Lumber, mining and furniture making were the main industries back then! The museum must very well kept and curated. The exhibits were interesting and organized well.

The Japanese Cultural Center, Tea House, and Gardens of Saginaw is a serene destination near downtown Saginaw that aims to promote peace and intercultural understanding through the art of the traditional tea ceremony. Since its establishment in 1986, it has been offering demonstrations of this ancient ritual.
I wish I had known that you should have reservations to enter the tea house, but it was a pretty garden. I wasn’t able to see the tea house or try a tea ceremony, but the garden looked nice in the early fall weather. It was under maintenance in a few parts, but seemed well cared for and was quite picturesque in parts. It’s not a bad spot to spend some time, and each season probably brings something new.
Mateo G — Google review
The tea house was super cool. The most authentic in the US. For $5 you can go inside and see a beautiful building architecturally speaking, (look at the ceiling!) You can try the tea (which was amazing) and a couple of Japanese snacks, all while learning a little history. We didn’t plan this stop but glad we did, was a nice little find on our roadtrip. The garden is alright, we recently went to the Japanese garden in Portland, OR so I may not be judging fairly but the tea house is really the best part.
Joel C — Google review
First time visiting this place in Saginaw and it was very enjoyable to see and walk through the garden. I plan on visiting again during the Fall time 🍁as I suspect it will be even more beautiful. I highly recommend visiting if you have some time to spare, a peaceful place!
Jacob M — Google review
Super friendly, informative, and welcoming. Beautiful garden with a Japanese style tea house and bridge. Some cherry blossoms (ボタン桜) in bloom still as of May 5. Definitely recommend the visit to learn the history of this piece of land, and enjoy the tea!
Daniel A — Google review
I had no idea that this place existed until recently. We will be coming back! I love learning about other cultures.
Joy S — Google review
Besides the gorgeous spacious tidy Japanese outdoor garden, make sure to get into the indoor tea demo session ($5 per person). The demo is around an hour, includes an authentic brew of Japanese tea and some tasty Japanese snacks, extremely educational on Japanese tea culture, the best part of my visit there. I also bought those snacks right there after the demo, it's cheaper than buying them in other Japanese stores.
J W — Google review
First time attending the Japanese Tea House Festival. I look forward to going again and experiencing tea.
LISA B — Google review
This place is so serene and beautiful. It is a breath of freshness and peace in the city. We came from Denver to visit family and ended up here twice. Once for the tea and tour and then again for the tea ceremony. The beauty in its simplicity is beyond compare. The wonderful people there are so very knowledgeable and friendly. We will certainly be back next time we are in the area. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.

Zoos & Aquariums
Saginaw Children's Zoo is a regional destination offering interactive exhibits with 150 animals, 80 gardens, and a hand-painted carousel. The zoo celebrates nature, wildlife, and lifelong discovery through affordable and engaging experiences. Visitors can also enjoy events for children at the Dow Event Center such as Baby Shark Live! and popular children's plays. Additionally, the zoo offers an opportunity to learn about the history of Saginaw through its three levels of exhibits.
Such a great little version of a zoo for younger kids who don't have a great attention span yet. They had such a blast being able to switch from animal watching to playing on the playground and then getting a snack. Everything is very reasonably priced for an "attraction" style activity. Definitely would recommend if you're in the area.
Sarah — Google review
This zoo is small in size but had a great variety of animals! Perfect to take smaller kids and get to see everything in one day! Zoo was clean and well kept, staff were friendly and helpful! They have a restaurant, gift shop, carousel, and train ride! Lots of hand washing stations that were nice to have and bathrooms were clean! Would recommend for any age! All the different gardens that people or places sponsor were cool to check out also!
Rough G — Google review
They have crockigators lol 😆 the habitats were clean. The main pond was drained like a mosh pit or lagoon 😇 we got to pet the goats for free 🐐 it was a fun experience. Would go again!
Shira S — Google review
Well maintained zoo in Saginaw that has a nice variety of animals. Caretakers keeps the facilities clean and the animals seem to be happy and enjoying the visitors. Nice train for little kids to to see the entire zoo. Has concessions for a lunch if you did not bring your own. Enjoyed my time there.
Adam S — Google review
Super cheap (got in for $6 a person!), cute little place to take your kids to explore, and even have a park and sand pit. Their gardeners need applause as well its so beautiful everywhere you look! They dont have things on display to buy so you dont spend money like other places (unless you go into the store). Loved it will def come again.
Charlotte T — Google review
Very cute little zoo! I was shocked at how pretty it was and how close up you got to the animals. Plus its only $8 to get in if you're not a local resident. The train ride was cute and there was a nice pond in the middle. Definitely would revisit in the future
Victoria A — Google review
It's a small zoo but I love this one. I took my kids there for years. The train is the best part.

I've been coming here since I was a baby and it was grown right along with me 💞 I really enjoy the zoo and can't wait for the new additions so definitely go check it out

The Saginaw Art Museum & Gardens is a charming local museum located in the former home of Clark L. Ring. It boasts a diverse collection of fine art, sculpture, and photographs from American and European artists spanning the 18th to 21st centuries. The museum hosts regular art exhibitions, programs, and special events. Visitors can explore watercolors, paintings, sculptures, as well as works on paper, glass, and ceramics in its impressive permanent collection.
We stopped here on a whim as we were passing through Saginaw and LOVED IT. Gale told us about the history of the home and then we walked around the museum. Stand out pieces for us were a pair of 500 year old red lacquer vases from the Qing dynasty and a Lavender Iris painting. Great place to visit.
S T — Google review
Great museum in the Saginaw area. I have been here a few times now, and I have noticed something peculiar every time I have visited. The most recent time was for "Garden Game Day" to bring the kids, in the garden outside. Very beautiful. I recommend this place, to come and enjoy the art and activities!
Jacob M — Google review
Loved the whole experience of the art museum. We went on Open studio day, the second Saturday of the month. We had three adults and 5 children with us. All of the staff were so friendly, informative, and kind. The kids loved visiting all the different rooms, creating their own art, as well as doing the scavenger hunt. Highly recommend to take the family to have a fun day!
Jade P — Google review
Very nice museum with good, diverse variety of art, including a small, pop up for local artists. Free on Saturdays!
Mardi G — Google review
Sooooo beautiful and truly worth a visit the woman who welcomed us was so helpful and wonderfully insightful
Leesha P — Google review
I can not believe how much I enjoyed this museum. They have a nice collection of paintings and sculpture. The artwork is tastefully displaced in a mansion. Be sure to check out the temporary exhibit. At this writing it was Charles Addams, the creator of the Addams family. Also, the museum is free on Saturdays. Go!
Jason H — Google review
Fabulous little gallery! Many lovely pieces. Activities for kids - scavenger hunt and crafts - make it very family friendly. Free on Saturdays!

The Mid-Michigan Children's Museum in Saginaw, MI is a vibrant and interactive attraction designed for children under 10. With over 16,000 square feet of gallery space, kids can explore exhibits such as a sugar farm, learn about how cars work, and engage with water features and tactile objects. The museum offers a fun indoor playground experience for toddlers to big kids. Visitors can also enjoy the reasonably priced gift shop and private classroom-sized rooms.
My girls (ages 4, 8, and 9) had so much fun here. We spent about 4 hours and explored everything they had to offer, but the kids would've happily stayed longer. There is a good mix of fun, creative, and educational activities for all ages.
Amanda S — Google review
I’ve gone here a handful of times with my one year old. We like to explore the whole place and utilize the toddler spot. If you have a wic card it is $5 a person over the age of two and if you don’t it’s now $8. I’m pretty sure it was a bit cheaper when I first came around.
Anna B — Google review
This was SO fun! Our 5 year old was obsessed with all the conveyors (we thought it would be the water, which he also really enjoyed). So much to see and do, we could have easily spent 4+ hours there. We were there for 2 hours and had enough time to do everything he wanted. Worst part was leaving, he kept telling us he had "too much fun" abs didn't want to go.
Heather T — Google review
Lots of fun activities for littles! Something for all ages. Totally interactive, engaging and educational.
Janna P — Google review
May 2022: I went with my son and his entire Kindergarten class for their end of the year field trip, first time going here. I was surprised! What a cool place for the kiddos to let loose, play and have fun. It's basically a giant indoor playground. There's a cute gift shop with reasonably priced items, a few private classroom sized rooms, and a lot of interesting stuff for the kids to do. Toddlers to big kids would enjoy this place. Staff was super friendly. Clean environment. Recommend! January 2025: I had my 3 year olds birthday party here, how nice! I paid $190 for a really big private room, I could have up to 20 people and pay $5 per person if I went over the 20. The room had plenty of tables, chairs and even had a sink. I was able to bring in food and cake. I'll definitely do this again! The kids loved it.
Donna J — Google review
My family really had fun here. The gift store was reasonably priced and they had a cost room with lockers. Snacks were also available for purchase along with gift cards. Everything was operable and fun to interact with. The museum had Santa available seasonally and train track. We even played family hide and seek while we were here. It was a blast. Recommend!
Nicole K — Google review
Fun place for the kids. Although not so huge but kids can spend easily 1.5-2 hours indulging in all the activities indoors. Wasn’t crowded considering weekend, tickets are $8 per person (ages 2-59) and can be conveniently purchased at the counter. Had a great time!
Satyajit D — Google review
It was great for our first time. My 4 year old had a blast running around touching and playing with everything. Lots of hands on toys and gadgets for little ones. Some role playing costumes and toys as well. Would have loved to experience the water table but it had signs saying it was closed. We still enjoyed ourselves.

A gem of Saginaw! I saw The Nutcracker this season and had a great time. There are no bad seats and the sound was as if there was an orchestra there!
Barbara S — Google review
Very nice venue! Staff is friendly and helpful. Security was active. All seats are comfortable. Clean atmosphere. Beautiful building!
Caleb S — Google review
This was my first time at The Temple Theater, and it was wonderful! The staff were kind and helpful from the moment we arrived at the entrance. The interior was beautiful, as you can see from the photos, but the most magical moment was when the pre-show organ music started... I am not going to spoil it for those who may experience it!! The bathrooms were clean, large, and also pretty cool (chandeliers in the bathroom!) We loved it here and will definitely be back.
Helen A — Google review
Beautiful theatre! I have been to numerous concerts, comedians and special events at the Temple over the years and have always had an amazing time. The Theatre is the perfect size and the employees are always friendly. It is a great asset to our community!

I love the beautiful, Temple Theater. The audience was so much fun interacting with the movie! Comfortable seats, and very yummy popcorn. Thank you Temple Theatre staff for your kind and professional service.
Cynthia M — Google review
The Temple Theatre is a grand venue. We have seen several performances there, we have always had a good seat. The bathrooms are new and beautiful. The seats are old but comfortable.
Joanne B — Google review
A beautiful old theater. The concert sounded great. Amazing treat to see such an artist in a small venue. The seats are small (as expected of a theater built in 1927) but pretty comfortable and view was excellent and unobstructed. Parking garage across the street but maybe find free street parking if you're willing to walk. And a very instagramable bathroom and balcony.

Lovely little island to visit. Has plenty to offer. Plenty of well paved trials for walking or biking. Easy access to the island, multiple ways on or off. Easy parking to figure out.
Brian E — Google review
A great place to fish; catch catfish, bass, bluegill, carp, walleye, bowfin, gar, rockbass and the occasional stick... Plenty of spots, docks and banks... Suggest to fish with a buddy. Location does sometimes attract a shady crowd.

A great place to 'get away from it all'... nice fishing spots and plenty of free parking...unfortunately there are visitors to this venue that take advantage of it. This is a no alcoholic beverage location, but people throw their beer and liquor bottles on the ground, like they deserve to... or own the joint... despite the presence of trash cans. Try fishing at the dock, you'll catch, catfish, carp, sheepshead, trout, walleye, bluegill to name a few.

It has been home to various hockey teams and currently hosts the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League. Very nice venue for shows. Downfall is they don't have elevators, if you are in balcony, and three flights of stairs are a workout for some. Seats are narrow too if you have a double or triple x sized adult. Lots of refreshment options, that you can take to your seat. Great conversation with Chevy Chase show. It brought back a lot of memories. My son liked the show, National Lampoons Christmas, too. First time he saw it!
Marla H — Google review
Went to the venue for the first time and wasn't impressed. When we got inside, we discovered there were lots of stairs. Stairs up to the balcony, stairs up to our seats when we got up to the balcony. Fine... stairs... but no elevator or even a ramp. Watching some of the older people try to climb all the way up was very disheartening. The rows were very poorly marked and several people ended up in the wrong seats because of this. In the top row, people were assigned seats that were clearly broken and they had to be moved. The performance was amazing, but I don't think I will ever return to the venue.
Amanda C — Google review
Amazing venue. You can't beat 6 bucks for parking, either. Staff were great and so clean.
Tony M — Google review
I have been to this venue multiple times. Parking ramp directly across the street, decent view no matter where you are seated, good amount of restrooms so you aren't waiting in a long line, staff are very friendly, lots of vendors for food and more. Wish there was a bit more leg room, but that's an issue at every large audience venue I've been to. Wouldn't hesitate going again.
E A — Google review
Concert was great. The person checking purses wouldn't let me in because my purse was 1/4 inch larger than the required size. I emptied the purse so the contents could be seen. Nope, had to take it back to my car
Kathy B — Google review
Great seats, even the nose bleeds aren't far away from the floor. All seats are good seats. Photos are from a concert in seats U16- Row R seats 6&7. Thank you, Vettix, for the seats. The hockey game photos are from E22- Row E in seat 10. $23 a seat in the executive seating. Coming soon is Spirit bench side photos.

Hoyt Public Library, located in Downtown Saginaw, Michigan, is a treasure trove of historical records and genealogical information about the Saginaw region and its early settlers. The library houses an extensive collection of over 18,000 books, periodicals, scrapbooks, diaries, and pictures that showcase the rich history of Saginaw Valley. Visitors can explore the genealogy of the area from as far back as its early settlement.
This is a beautiful library building . The building is so large with many floors. Born and raised in Saginaw Michigan the city has its up and downs, but with my recent visit, surprise how the old down town is on a revamp in a positive way. I am glad to see that the library has kept its upkeep with the changes over the years . This is a place to visit in Saginaw if you are visiting. Not a disappointment just beautiful.
Sandra R — Google review
Beautiful, old library rich in Saginaw history! Multiple levels. Handicap/stroller entrance was kind of awkward, had to be escorted in and out through an unused portion of the library. I took the boys to the children's section as my 7 year old was excited to go on a mystery hunt for books to check out. The children's section was big and in it's own area so it was ok for them to talk and play. I went to check out and was told I can't get a free membership card as I don't live in the membership area even though I live in Saginaw County, and would have to pay a $50 annual fee to check out books. So, I now had a very sad child that wasted his time picking out the best books and couldn't get them. How disappointing!!! Also, as a cautionary FYI, there were about 6-8 shady characters (appeared to be homeless) that were hanging out in the church bushes at the southwest corner of the library parking lot. They didn't say anything, but it sure made me uncomfortable with my guard up.
Donna J — Google review
I only come here for the wifi, which on the Saginaw library website says is on 24/7 for everyone to use. The last few times I came here (during normal hours and after hours), there was NO wifi??

We love this library and the staff. They are always helpful and think of their patrons. The facility is immaculate and despite being a small urban area their available resources are very good. They have a large kids book section which is always nice. They have displays for for family games that we check out for our Shabbat game and study days.

I greatly enjoy going to the amazing Hoyt Library. This beautiful old building is a treasure right here in Downtown Saginaw. It’s well worth the trip to the Hoyt just to experience this magnificent structure. If you ever get the opportunity to have the staff give you a guided tour through the Hoyt Library take the tour, the depth of knowledge and rich History is simply incredible. If for some reason you’re not able to take a guided tour of this building you can view the tour on a video. Well worth your time. I recommend do both go on a tour with your friends or organization and watch the video. But the Hoyt Library is much more than an interesting , incredible part of Saginaw History, It’s a great Library with unbelievable amount of books and so much more. I frequently download books to my phone to listen to as I travel. They also have large collections of books on CD’s to play as you drive.

Please come here. There are a lot of really good books, for all ages. There are a lot of nice nooks to read in, and the whole building gives off that creepily old vibe, love it. This is my go to library... I usually don’t leave reviews, but the Hoyt Library deserves one. (They also have a whole manga section)

Saginaw County Veterans Memorial Plaza is a serene and meaningful place that pays tribute to the military men and women of Saginaw. The memorial offers visitors the opportunity to purchase bricks inscribed with the names and branches of service of fallen soldiers, creating a touching tribute. It's described as a peaceful spot where one can find solace and reflect, away from the hustle and bustle.
Thank you to all the veterans who served our country! We walked through this memorial during the annual holiday in Saginaw water works Christmas lighting. It was so peaceful and beautiful, even in the middle of November. I'll definitely go back in the summer when the flowers are bloomed to pay my respects and read all the names. They have brick walkways with veterans names on them, so cool. There's plenty of parking.
Donna J — Google review
It's not a huge park but it's special. Being a Veteran, the memorial hits home. It's a nice place to stop and ponder just for a few minutes.
Jessie W — Google review
This plaza is a wonderful way to honor our veterans.

A great place to relax and great place to just concentrate on you is a great place to get a piece of mind it's not loud it's quiet I mean you really can feel the vibe here when you hear that mean despite that the military people are dead over there but other than that you know the vibe here you know it's kind of calm cool it's now wow not too many people here at a certain time so I think just like a great place to hang out and take great photos

The year-round skate park provides 15,000 square feet of concrete for inline and outdoor skating, while the seasonal splash pad offers refreshing water fun during warmer months. Great, clean park. Play area is best for older kids (6-7+). Beautiful trails and amazing splash park for all ages. Summertime staff is present, aware, and friendly.
Mitchell M — Google review
This park is fun & great for the kids & its convenient to have in our neighborhood. And we often enjoy coming..but my recent visit was VERY upsetting! We came around 5 pm.on a friday. Its open from 5-7 right? And Garbage was Everywhere! Someone dumped over the garbage cans.. there is graffiti on the walls. By the bathrooms.. Just a absolute Mess! No workers on site. (Normally there is a worker) How terrible that someone would throw trash everywhere like this. Yuck. It's making saginaw look bad. That's why they call it sagnasty.. I hate that they call it that BTW...
Melissa B — Google review
Cute park. I like the crayon theme. You can see some cool painted silos from the playground. Parking lot was full of trash. It's ok for a quick stop for a photo op.
Heather P — Google review
Surprised how big this splash pad is. Very clean. Operated as it should. Was bathrooms and an attendant on duty. Open 11am - 7pm. Kids had a lot of fun on a very hot day. Also playground and skatepark on same property.

We had a blast at the splash pad today!! Many water spouted features to cool off. We thoroughly enjoyed it this afternoon. Thank you so much. 💦

Some idiots decided to paint the skatepark. Ruining a million dollar skatepark. Typical for Saginaw to ruin everything they have. Instead of going to Saginaw, my family will rather go to bay city, flint or midland skatepark. Good riddance

Shopping
Fashion Square Mall is a multi-level retail complex located in Saginaw, Michigan. It offers a wide range of shopping opportunities with department stores, boutiques, and sporting goods shops. The mall is home to popular stores like Macy's, H&M, JCPenney, American Eagle, and more. With over 100 specialty shops including Encore Shoes, Bath & Body Works, Hot Topic and Rue21 among others.
Nice and clean! Not a lot of stores open which was a little disappointing but overall had a good experience! The shoe department definitely didn’t disappoint!
Janelle S — Google review
What a disappointment. There are so few stores left open. This once bustling, thriving and fun mall was like a ghost town! Hardly worth visiting unless you have a specific store to visit that is still open. Sadly this is the only Rue 21 still open within driving distance to where I live. I fear with the status of this mall, it won't be for long.
Brenda G — Google review
The glory days of malls are not around anymore but this place still holds some of the charm. Please replace missing handicap stall door in men's restroom, I don't require the stall but those who do deserve the same as everyone.
Michael “ — Google review
Just like every mall, it's heartbreaking to enter them anymore. Malls used to be so full of life and socialness but not no more. This mall is like a ghost town however it was still very well maintained, cleaned, bathrooms are clean. It just sad to see the old times, the old good times lost to time.
Jeremy D — Google review
Comfortable mall, maintained. Half empty though, and it echoes fiercely in there as a result. Needs sound dampening or more open stores to stop sound carry, but, otherwise pretty decent to shop. Pleasant for a half dead mall.
Lorilei S — Google review
The mall is now so empty. The food court has a limited choice of two food places to eat. The mall has a children play area and a lot of play toys have been removed. It appears to be a ghost mall. This is sad. You can still get your nails, feet, ears pierced, and hair done in different stores in this mall... The mall is not inviting with shopping areas like high quality malls. They have Macy, JC penny, shoe depot, Jimmy Jazz, Victoria secrets, and bath and body works.....I know I missed a few stores....
Monique W — Google review
Horrible experience, I was followed by a security guard through every store I went to, and that made me feel very uncomfortable being that I recently transitioned and am insecure about my appearance. Don’t come here unless you want to get stalked by creepy security guards!!! never coming here again!!

This would be a nice venue if it wasn’t filthy! The carpet is horrific, the freezer was disgusting, fountain was filthy and there was spilled food on the chairs throughout. I am extremely disappointed in how much they charge and did not even have the decency to clean it before I had an event.

Brewery
Nestled in a historic 1905 building in Old City Saginaw, Oracle Brewing Co. seamlessly blends the charm of the past with a laid-back contemporary atmosphere. The brewery offers a diverse selection of unique craft beers that have impressed many visitors. While they don't serve food, guests are welcome to bring their own or order from nearby eateries. Additionally, the establishment operates on a gratuity-free model, ensuring fair wages for all staff members.
Service was very friendly and fast. We came on a Sunday almost right at opening and had the place to ourselves for our entire stay. It’s a great space inside and their beers are delicious. They also have a puzzle and several games for you to play!

SE MI Brewery Discovery Tour's latest stop is in Saginaw. It's my first time (be gentle). After picking up my lunch down the street, I headed down. At 12:45 pm, they are still closed. They're supposed to be open at noon. Well, crapola. So, I sat at an outdoor table two doors down. Afterward, on a whim, I walked back by and, low & behold, they were open. Huzzah! Turns out someone forgot to show up for their shift, so that's why they didn't open on-time. Popped inside, had most of a flight, 3 4oz pours, a great conversation with the beertender for an hour & a half before moseying down the road. No photos this time but it is a very cool place. Concrete counter, lots of tables, all low-tops, games & puzzles. The beer is good quality and on style, too.
Mark T — Google review
I enjoyed a flight of beers here with a friend of mine, and we had a good time. It was fairly busy during my visit, but the bartender was still friendly and the place seemed nice. The beers were good, and there were some creative ones among the few I tried. It was a comfortable place, and I’d definitely visit again if I’m in the area.
Mateo G — Google review
Order your beverages at the counter and they will bring them to your table. It is a “gratuity free” establishment so any tip given will be provided to a local charity. Flights are individually priced 4 ounce samples and you can get as few or as many as you want. I tried the blonde ale, 2 sours, a Belgian and a cider. All were on point for the provided description but the only one that got just a average rating was the blonde ale. Only snacks available for purchase but outside food can be brought in. Flat top and bar seating. Limited street parking. Wifi password upon request. Some gluten removed beers. Friendly staff. Somewhat noisy. Pricy for a flight. I wanted to like it but it just wasn’t my glass of beer (cup of tea). I most likely would not return.
Nyor M — Google review
This place has become my new favorite place. The craft beers are quite unique to the area. They have new beers on a consistent basis. I'm always interested in what they come up with. They have plenty of flavors to satisfy just about anyone. The staff is always nice.
Gene G — Google review
As a craft beer fan, Oracle brews some of the most unique beers I've tasted. Excellent work. The site is clean and tidy, the staff is pleasant and helpful. They do not serve food at the facility, but don't be afraid to order in or bring your own. This is also a gratuity free business, so the wages of all workers, including the wait staff is built into the price of the beer! Cheers!
Logan S — Google review
Absolutely one of the most friendly places I have been in a long time. Lindsey was not only a great Bartender but she truly has a passion for what she does. The beers are great, and I would truly recommend this place to anyone.

Great place to see a concert!! Clean bathrooms. I'd suggest bringing a poncho, in case it rains or has rained, cause their outdoor seats have cushions on the seat and back rest, so everyone who has a reserved seat, may also have a wet back and butt 😊

My absolute favorite place to shop, ever! I collect currency and cards along with my father-in-law who collects cards! If you're into sports cards or currency, this place is a MUST! I seriously could spend hours in here and my father-in-law would agree! Not only do they have a crazy selection, but they staff are all super friendly and helpful! Most of the items I look at are in cases. They're really good at giving you privacy even though they need to stand near the case when they open it for you. I enjoy striking up a conversation with many of the staff. The warehouse is also super easy to navigate once you walk through it once! Bathrooms are clean even though they've seen better days. There's also a little cafe in the front of the building. I have yet to go there because they're usually closed when I arrive. I 100% recommend you visit this place. You'll never want to leave!!!
Austin — Google review
Unassuming antique mall on the outside but very jampacked and ergonomically arranged. I appreciate the wide variety of items. One employee was slightly condescending and unprofessional to both a walk-in customer and a caller during our checkout. Didn’t directly affect us but left an off putting taste in our mouths.
Rayna L — Google review
Accusing my family of stealing when they went into the vestibule to pick up an item to purchase is a generally lousy business practice. Mary had a negative attitude during their whole visit. This isn’t a place to go to if you are looking for even a modicum of service. They paid for their item and were asked by Mary “IS THIS IT?!” She’s lucky she sold even one item to them with the way she treated them.

The marketplace hosts 24 different vendors offering a variety of products and cuisines. Visitors can enjoy New Orleans cuisine, caramel apples, novelty T-shirts, jewelry-making supplies, yarn, and more. One visitor praised Merna's eatery for its delicious chicken bacon ranch sandwich and friendly staff.
What a huge asset to our community. They offer so many different goods and services. I have been impressed all of the food vendors. Rachel, the manager, is very kind and helpful. We have also held meetings there. They have lots of space available.

Review for SVRC Marketplace - 4/26/2025 Today while working as a DoorDash driver, I had an unpleasant experience at the SVRC Marketplace while trying to locate a restaurant called “Bloom From Within.” The building has multiple businesses, and it can be confusing to navigate. While searching, I politely approached a worker at El Farolite to ask for help locating the restaurant, even showing the name on my phone. She quickly said she had never heard of it. After finding the restaurant myself, I passed by her establishment again and simply informed her where it was located, thinking it might be helpful in the future. Instead of a courteous response, I was met with hostility. She stated she “doesn’t care” and “doesn’t like people asking for directions,” and then falsely accused me of threatening her when I calmly responded to her rudeness. This kind of behavior is disappointing and unprofessional, especially in a marketplace that depends on customer traffic, delivery drivers, and a welcoming environment for all visitors. I hope the SVRC Marketplace encourages its vendors to maintain a more respectful attitude toward guests and workers who are there to support all businesses within the building. If I could, it would be no stars!
Terrance F — Google review
Absolute joke of a business. If I could give 0 stars I would. Most of the eateries are closed. The ones that are shockingly open are out of many menu items. Came out here for an event at the Dow Center and this was billed as a great place to shop and dine beforehand. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Unreal.

We visited before a large event at the Dow Event Center. I don't want to give too negative a review as I'm sure on the average day this is an awesome marketplace, but if you're coming for a show then proceed with a little caution. The event sent an email out suggesting attendees come here. We visited on a Wednesday and arrived 1.5 hours before the show started (5:30pm). The marketplace was a little busy but not packed. We were disappointed that probably 1/3 to 1/2 of the food vendors were closed. Once we decided on a food option and got in line, the vendor announced that they were all out of food, and subsequently multiple other vendors announced the exact same thing. We still ended up eating at one of the last options with food available, but had I known this would be the experience I would have avoided this place entirely. We were originally excited for the offerings so it was a bit of a shame.

When visiting Saginaw, make sure to visit the peaceful Saginaw County Veterans Memorial Plaza on Washington Avenue, a tribute to the county's fallen soldiers. The Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra (SBSO) offers captivating live performances at the beautiful Temple Theater. Many have enjoyed their virtual shows during COVID and highly recommend their youth orchestra program for young musicians. Visitors from out of state have been impressed by SBSO's live performances, such as the Star Trek movie showing.
We traveled from MN, to see the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra perform the live Star Trek movie showing. It was a such a lovely experience. We hope to come back to Saginaw in the near future and see more Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra. Great job to all the musicians and everyone who made this production possible!!

We love SBSO and have even enjoyed the virtual performances since COVID. Our daughter also plays with the youth orchestra and we cannot recommend that program enough. It felt like taking orchestra to the next level for kids who are ready for it. Plus the performances at the Temple Theater make it even more enjoyable, since the theater is absolutely beautiful.

The menu features mouthwatering steaks, fresh salads, and decadent pastries crafted by a talented culinary team. Located in Old Town, this cozy cafe offers a range of sandwiches, salads, soups, and sweet treats to suit various tastes.
We've all had sandwiches and subs before, we'll let me tell you. This place took it too a whole new level and new to me but great to those who've had it. Amazing and delicious food and clean all the way around. Restrooms are attended too and wheel chair accessibility is a +.Priced just right. Employees with wonderful smiles and attitudes to go along with this trip. Frailia's where have you been all my life?

We discovered Fralia's partway through our trip to Saginaw and wish we would have found it sooner! There service is amazing, and the staff is very friendly. Their goat cheese salad was out of this world, and their flank steak sandwich is the best sandwich I have ever had. They also make a fantastic Georgia reuben and a delicious meat loaf sandwich! Their desserts are amazing, they have the best key lime pie ever. The restaurant's interior is beautiful, and the outdoor seating is lovely. 10,000/10 stars.

Not Fralias fault, but when these old Saginaw buildings were built, it was all brick with high tiled ceilings. Back when there was a customer or two this worked, but in our modern era has produced an echo chamber- made worse by everyone HAVING to communicate on cell phones. Clientele is couples, professionals, and the health conscious. That being said one felt very safe there, which does not hold mere blocks away. Worth something. Food was fresh and tasty. Keep in mind the online menu needs updating and prices have increased approximately $5 between the two. All in all, a big thumbs up!

If you're in the area I highly recommend this downtown spot for lunch. Great menu with salads and a lot of sandwiches options. Check out their specials! Clean, vintage vibes, not too loud, with old school paper covered cafe tables.

Simply outstanding deli with excellent fresh sandwiches and salads. Fralia’s sandwiches are some of the best I’ve had anywhere in Michigan. They have fresh artisan bread, boar’s head quality meats and cheeses, and delightful accoutrements. Select from one of about 20 options or build your own. I haven’t had a salad, but those look pretty great too. Order ahead or come in and place your order at the counter and find a place to sit. The ambiance is clean and comfortable , and the service is prompt and friendly. Do yourself a favor and visit this place today!

On our way back to NC from a trip to Canada, we decided to get off the interstate and try Fralia's for lunch. The ladies at the counter were so friendly and the atmosphere unique and fun (fresh flowers on tables, cute photos of various "stars" eating sandwiches - well done!). The sandwiches were great. All in all, well worth the few extra minutes it took us away from I-75.

Food excellent, service excellent, value hard to find. A cook not afraid of garlic. I do have a major complaint (just trying to get the owner going). What self-respecting italian joint doesnt have candles and checkered tabled clothes on the table? Cmon folks get it together.

Fralia's is the absolute best! There isn't too much around, but even if there was, we would pick this place every time!!! Everything is fresh & delicious! From sandwiches, salads, & cookies, you can't go wrong. Friendly staff, too! I had the Goodfella & asked for them to do just turkey for the meat choice & it was amazing!!! It's probably the best turkey pesto I've ever had! The focaccia bread is soft & flavorful! 10/10!

Additionally, the park features a veteran's memorial, honoring those who have served in the military. The Memorial Day Parade held at Hoyt Park is highly regarded for its significance to veterans and their families. Restroom facilities are conveniently available on-site.
Visited this park back in August 2023 from Florida. My boyfriends mother and close siblings live in the area. Came out for an annual kickball event. I must say it turned out really good. Great vendors and music.. The park was clean and the grass was looking nice. The weather was beautiful. Everyone was having a great time. No fighting or foolishness going on. We definitely need more gatherings like this here and I would love to see things like this in my hometown. Everybody seemed like family. We all really enjoyed ourselves out here..

We were there for a girls 9U softball tournament, parking is along the road and is sketchy in a couple sections. Some genius planned an Easter basket giveaway for Sunday, it was a traffic nightmare for two hours, folks trying to leave after their games had to wait in the giveaway line.

Had a great time skating here over the winter! They have skate rentals(hockey and figure). Free hot coco and cookies on select weekends. Bring back the park! It’s a great cause! This place was a lot of fun for everyone in our family. With a large bar overlooking the arcades for parents to view there children while drinking some of there fantastic mixed drinks. Our kids had so much fun from Lazer tag to arcades to a movie style game. We enjoyed the escape room and even bowling. We'll be back soon for more entertainment. Awesome establishment.

Today our family decided to visit stardust because of the air quality and I couldn’t be more happy with our decision!!! The experience from the time we walked in until the time we left was phenomenal. I can’t thank the staff enough for the experience that was provided to both myself and my family!! We definitely will be back.:)
Emily K — Google review
The place was awesome, we had a great time. The bartender was very personable and was right there when I needed a refill. The only problem was that the Lazer tag group I was in got abandoned in the room you watch the video in for about 10-15 minutes and the same guy just walked away later on when asked about tickets. We didnt let him ruin our experience though and had a great time.
Mark O — Google review
This place used to be great to take my daughter. We got the unlimited card for $25. We come to find out that they removed the bumper cars and there's about 7 games she can play. We left after a half hour. Very disappointing experience.
Joe H — Google review
Great time visiting since they have remodeled. Beautifully thought out and so much fun. Laser tag, bumper cars, arcade games, bowling, and escape rooms. Everything was priced no different than an arcade entertainment center. We had a blast and their was so much to do. They have a great bar. Escape rooms are all different difficulty levels which makes it a lot of fun. Laser tag is 2 stories tall. Everything is handicapped accessible. All games are electronic with a card to add more money on and keep tickets electronic. We will be back for sure.
Nicole B — Google review
The bowling alley and the food was wonderful. Staff was helpful especially the lady cashier at the entrance. Only complaint is that the arcade had only half the machines working. Both air hockey tables were down and that was a big reason my husband and I did the arcade on top of bowling.
Heather S — Google review
We came to Stardust Entertainment Center for my daughter's birthday party. Lots for kids to entertain themselves with from Bumper Cars, Laser Tag and an escape room. Added with the arcade games makes for a awesome time for everyone. For the entertainment of 16 kids the price is worth it.

The well-kept trails provide an ideal setting for leisurely strolls or more adventurous outings. Families will appreciate the modern playground that is safely enclosed and features convenient indoor restrooms.
Nice newer playground and have indoor bathrooms. Playground is fenced in too! It's a small park but I recommend it. A boat ramp area and many places to fish off a dock too. Lots of places to sit on benches and pavilions and grills too!
Jessi C — Google review
Wanted to find a spot to have my grandson fish. Very nice area with a couple of fishing perches to use with the kids. A nice group of people fishing and the sheriff launched his boat at a good-sized boat ramp. Bathrooms close by and bait shop two blocks away. Nice and quiet area for relaxing. Will return.
Robert J — Google review
The park is nice, quiet and clean. Its well maintained and has ample parking for vehicles with trailers as well as a separate parking space for cars and trucks without trailers. There are dedicated fishing locations with benches/tables and rod holders. There are grills, pagodas, and a fenced in kids play area. Many people walk their dogs as well. The popularity of this place has caused a scarcity in fish. You still catch fish, but it is growing more difficult.

Waterproofing service
Mid-Michigan Basement Waterproofing L.L.C. is a dedicated service provider specializing in keeping your basement dry and secure. With a focus on transparency, Joe and his team prioritize clear communication throughout the waterproofing process, ensuring clients are informed every step of the way. They utilize advanced techniques, including snake cameras to assess drainage conditions effectively. Customers appreciate their honest approach—no unnecessary upselling here!
Joe was very honest and didn't try to up-sell me on anything I didn't need. When the crew came out, they kept really good communication on everything they were doing. They even showed me the snake camera so I could see the condition of the drain and pipe they were working on. I really felt Joe and his team were transparent in what they were doing. His price for waterproofing the exterior was by far the best of all the companies we got quotes from and came with a ten year warranty! I'm happy with the work and definitely recommend them.
Nina H — Google review
Joe from Mid-Michigan Basement Waterproofing L.L.C. has provided the most horrendous service imaginable. Their basement support work was done with improper materials and embarrassingly poor craftsmanship. After the job was supposedly "completed," city inspectors came out and provided us with a lengthy list of problems and violations with the work that had been done. We reached out multiple times to get these issues resolved, but were completely ghosted by the company, receiving no explanation or attempt at remediation. When we requested a partial refund so we could have another reputable company fix their mistakes, they did not respond back to us at all. Adding insult to injury, when we called the city of Saginaw and Saginaw Township to confirm if this company was insured and licensed, we discovered there is no record of Mid-Michigan Basement Waterproofing L.L.C. holding either. Furthermore, they are not even listed as a business with the township or city. This means they are operating without the necessary licensing, which is both illegal and dangerous. When we asked to see proof of their license and insurance they never responded either. We urge anyone considering this company to think twice. Their unlicensed status and unprofessional behavior have caused us nothing but headaches and expense. Avoid them at all costs.
Jay — Google review
This is Joe Martinez work. He cut into every floor joist and very poorly tried to cover it up. He was supposed to pour cement. His outside waterproofing consisted of digging 2 feet down and putting visqueen around the house. Joe wouldn't follow up with any sort of refund. All the work he did has to be paid to undo. AVOID THE SCAM.
Austin S — Google review
Ok so I previously wrote a pretty harsh review and I’m here to edit it. My basement had a leak and even though it took a while, the leak is, in fact, fixed. That’s all I ever really cared about. They came once and looked, tried some stuff, then came back, thought they fixed it. Those visits were very expensive but would have been worth it if they’d have worked. Then we had to call and remind them to finish the last step because we hadn’t heard them in a week. Then we still had the leak, put a call in, a young man came out to check it and said “I think I know the problem. I’ll pass it on to my boss.” And then we didn’t hear anything from them even after calling. But we DID finally get it all figured out and my basement is leak free! They didn’t end up charging me the last time they came out, which is the reason I’m giving them 4 stars. I’m not giving them 5 because they weren’t great with follow through or communication. But when they showed up, they did excellent work. So there you have it.
Katie M — Google review
Called these guys in to do a basement waterproof job. I’m not sure if they ever did concrete before. Horrible finish work, it’s all uneven. They couldn’t appropriately run a discharge line. Now the water is continually recycling itself and the sump runs constantly. One of their brilliant employees, was digging in the yard and went through my internet cable. He wasn’t going to even tell me that he did it. I had to go out and ask why I lost connection since I worked from home. Then another time they go to run a snake up a tile and they unplug my garage freezer. We lost tons of food and meat. We were not reimbursed for the loss.
Kyle W — Google review
Please ask Joe to provide proof of insurance and his contractors license. He was unwilling to show any of his documentation. Saginaw Township also had no business license filed for his company. Too many red flags that I should have looked into before hiring him. Save yourself the trouble. He ghosted me and would not work out a deal.
Brian L — Google review
What a great company! We experienced nothing but professionalism from Joe and his crew throughout the entire process. Everything was thoroughly explained to us and our questions were answered. The crew was very polite and really worked well together. Things were left neat and tidy each evening when they left for the day. We finally have a basement we can enjoy! I would highly recommend this company for all of your basement waterproofing needs.

We were called 911 restoration services of Michigan to a job for water damage and in speaking with the customer/insured the basement was unfinished and she was able to get water pushed down the drain. she needed a basement foundation repair person. I reached out to Joe at Mid-Michigan basement and foundation, guess what this guy impressed me and my customer. He was there in a day, very professional responsive and gave her an awesome quote for no cost by the way in which she accepted the quote. Migratory waterfowl are a highlight of this wetland area with walking trails & a scenic drive.
Hiked 5.5 miles and encountered many species of wildlife. I enjoy wildlife photography and this is a definite go to for wildlife.
2wheelsonfire — Google review
This is the very best local bird and wildlife viewing area! It was such a hot day, I didn't want to hike and had no idea how amazing the drive through was. There is plenty of side parking and viewing areas, vehicles were respectful of one another. Dont be in a hurry when you go, because there are so many varieties of birds to see. You will not be disappointed! So greatful that we take care of protecting our wildlife!
Amy L — Google review
A beautiful spot to take in the sunset and view many bird species. The trails are wide and well marked. The auto tour route is good with a few pullouts but I would bring your binoculars or long camera lenses to see the wildlife up close.
Mark G — Google review
Beautiful drive. We saw a lot of wildlife. Deer, many species of birds including Bald eagles. We watched a Great Blue Heron swallow a carp, which was neat. I highly recommend taking this nice slow drive.
Angie D — Google review
Saw lots of sandhill cranes, egrets, herons, geese, and ducks during my visit in early July. Went again in late August and a lot of them had moved on, though I did see few... and a bald eagle. Very cool place!
Joshua D — Google review
Get there in the morning and treat yourself to a garden of natural wonders. Bring your camera, a big bottle of water, and a bigger bottle of bug spray. The flies are no joke. Better yet, a beekeeper's habit. 10/5 absolutely incredible.
Micah N — Google review
This place is truly out of this world, bring water lots of gravel roads to walk on. Great place to walk dog. Very rarely there is anyone there. Almost guaranteed to see Eagles.. . Bring good camera don’t
Jesus S — Google review
We stopped here while in Saginaw and went through the driving trail. It was enjoyable but very long. Once you start the drive you have to finish it as it is only 1-way. It is also a stone path so this may not be suitable for those concerned about dents or dings to their vehicles from rocks bouncing up from the ground. The walking path would be another option for those not wanting to do the driving trail, which we did not do. There were not many animals when we went besides a few birds, butterflies and dragonflies. The view was really nice and is something cool to experience if in the Saginaw area. Something to visit at least once. We may visit again in the fall and do the walking trail when it is not so hot.

Saginaw Valley State University collection of 2,000+ works by the Detroit-based public sculptor.
Amazing collection of works by America’s public sculptor. Beautiful space and terrifically designed. The sheer scale of some of the pieces (which are mostly busts used to make the sculptures that are featured throughout the country) is awe inspiring. It’s a small museum but free and most definitely worth a visit. There’s also a lovely sculpture garden as you enter that features some of his magnificent works. Plus they have the public art pass so you can continue exploring all around the region, as it directs you to other publicly featured art that you can visit for free. Highly recommend and if you’re in the market for some art, don’t miss their gift shop. Pricey but some amazing, smaller casts of some of MM Fredericks’ most iconic works.
Steve S — Google review
Visited over the memorial weekend and it was such a perfect day to walk around. The water area was such a kid magnet: I will probably bring an extra shirt or something next time.
N O — Google review
This is a free museum! The coolest sculptures from a world renowned artist. Very much worth the trip! Inside and outside sculptures. Plus they have a gallery that periodically changes where local artists display they sculptures as well. You may recognize some famous sculptures that you have seen, not knowing they were created by Mr. Frederick.
Amy S — Google review
Good Museum to have experience over sculpture based displays. It’s not a historical but transition can be experienced. However it’s a small two hall museum but 1-2 hours can be easily spent if going each and every detail. Some nice photo points outside the museum building. Kids like having views of fresh creations. It’s free and no entry fee ticket.
Sukhram C — Google review
The sculptures here are amazing and mind blowing. Beautiful does not begin to characterize these amazing works. If you follow Under the Radar on PBS they show places all over MI that are wonderful. This was one of them.
Ellen S — Google review
We drove in from Royal Oak to visit the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum, and it was absolutely worth the trip! As Royal Oak residents, it’s a real source of pride to know that one of the world’s greatest public artists once worked here. The highlight for us was definitely the room featuring objects from his one-time Royal Studio — seeing his tools, sketches, and personal items up close really brought his creative process to life. It felt like stepping into his world and gaining a deeper appreciation for the incredible sculptures we’ve admired for years. The museum overall is beautifully curated and inspiring, but that studio room was truly special. Highly recommend making the drive — you won’t regret it!
Judy D — Google review
Beautiful grounds on a college campus. Limited museum parking. It's more of a room with sculptures then a museum. The museum contains the work of just one artist.

Pride and Country Village is a beloved destination that has thrived thanks to its Christian foundation. The village also features a delightful restaurant serving delicious homemade soups and sandwiches. Visitors can find everything they need for their homes, such as furniture, rugs, curtains, lamps, wallpaper, dishes, candles, and much more.
Great shopping experience! I am glad a friend recommended the stores. I loved the selection and prices. Hearing Christian music playing in each store was a surprise bonus! I know I will be returning to shop again.

This was such a great place to visit! It's a definite spot to check out multiple times! You will see something different each visit. We spoke with the owners in the beautiful flower garden and learned the great history of the place and their goals to offer fresh and healthy options in what they offer to their customers. The flower garden was taken care of very well, meticulously weeded. Being a home gardener, I noticed the amount of effort involved in the freshly weeded beds and carefully edged pathways. Our first stop, we had a delicious lunch at the deli, an Itlalian sub, kettle chips, chicken salad sandwich, and coleslaw, and to finish it off, gotta have the vernors and a peanut butter cookie. The ingredients were fresh, crisp, and tasted great!
John K — Google review
My neighbor told me about this place several weeks ago, she made it sound so fun that my daughter and I went the next week. Since then, I have been back 2 more times. Had lunch each time, very good. The prices are very reasonable, staff friendly and the owner even took the time to visit with us.
Sandy W — Google review
We have been wanting to visit this place for ages, not knowing quite what it was. What a surprise we got! We had our oldest daughter and we all had such a wonderful time. Each shop us unique, fairly priced and endless!!! We walked for hours and I'm sure didn't even see all the products they had to offer. The highlight was when we went to the Deli for our last stop and saw they had barrels of coffee. We were sniffing and a helpful, kind lady was giving us tons of information and gave us a free sample of her favourite coffee! She introduced herself as Barb...and then told us she was the owner! She was so thoughtful, told us her story and was just the most kind women we've ever met. We made our purchase and then she offered our daughter a free ice cream cone in the flavor of her choice! Her generosity and attitude just made our whole day. We cannot wait to come back with our other two kiddos as well!
Tiffany M — Google review
When you go, make sure to take your time, there's lots of room's to look through, 3 different building.
Mark K — Google review
Some fun things to look for in a variety of shops. But things are a bit pricy. Kind of a kitschy place-- lots of doo-dads and country decor. So if that's your thing, great selection. I did get some excellent coffee beans! One downside: this place is CROWDED. The aisles between things require you to turn sideways, and a person in our group with a walker couldn't get through some spaces. This was the case in every shop. Too much stuff in small spaces.
Mary W — Google review
I love this quaint sandwich and ice cream shop. No other place quite like it. I love to bring my out of town guests here for a unique experience as opposed to chain restaurants.
Terry S — Google review
I had passed this place for years always saying I'd make a return trip to visit. I wish I'd not waited so long. There's so much here! I spent far more than I thought I would. But I am very happy with everything I purchased. I will most certainly make time to visit again soon.

This park is amazing! Great place to walk by yourself, with others or with your dog(s). Me and my family have been walking at this park for years and we love it. They also have a nice pond and dock for you to sit on as well as other benches and tables near the pond. They also have a lot of pavilions you can rent. They have trails for everyone from the people who want less intense walk well as more interesting trails for the adventurous. They sadly don’t have paved paths though. They do have many baseball diamonds tho along with a basketball court and two beach volleyball courts. They also have a really nice playground for the kids. And if you like disc golf they have a nice disc golf course.
Travis S — Google review
We played a softball tournament here a bout a week ago. The fields were amazing. It would have been nice to have a sidewalk path to the diamond from the parking lot. It’s tough to drag a cooler through the grass or stone. Other than that... perfect. Playground, bathrooms, parking, driveway, landscaping, etc... highly recommended.
Eric K — Google review
Nice playground for the kiddos! More for 5-12 year olds, not much for my toddler to play on. There's a pond here and walking paths, didn't check those out on this trip so can't comment, but it looked nice and there were people fishing. Lots of people walking leashed dogs.

This place is awesome. From being in the “City” a couple miles down the road and you’re out in nature with a huge dog park Split into two huge areas - small dogs and big dogs. I have 2 big dogs who are just learning about dog parks. But THE PARK - trails, woods, water, shade It’s big and you’re sure to find the piece of it that you’ll call your own.
Christina G — Google review
Nice quiet little community park. The landscaping was very nice and well kept. There is a boat ramp at the end of the park and it looks like the park rents out canoes for those that want to go out paddling or fishing for the day. The big plus for us was the hockey rink for roller hockey!!! They have two nets out there and marked lines for weekend pickup games. Every community should have one of these!!!
Michael N — Google review
Sad that the trails are laced with hazardous chemicals , but it has a nice Pavillion and a dock to fish in.
Jazzy J — Google review
Love it here so many different areas to walk, picnic, fish, hike and more. It is very clean and has different pavilions. In the Fall it has beautiful red trees in the back and a nice walking path. One of our favorite places to go enjoy nature.

So clean and only 2$ to get in for non residents! We enjoyed fishing and listening to kids play at a birthday party next to us.

My husband and I have been going here to talk and have picnics since before we even started dating. I proposed to him there and to this day I take our dog there. This will always be a wonderful place to be. The dog runs are amazing and you can really tell they care about the upkeep of the trails. There's a playground for kids, tennis courts, basketball courts, and gazebos for events. If you want to have a relaxing walk or a fun trip with your doggo, this is a great place.
NanaK — Google review
I gave 4 stars due to never seeing anyone who works there. Only the first time I went but that's it. Other then that its nice little park. Wish some of the other dog owners had a bit more control of their dogs. Not everyone picks up after their dog either sadly. I like that its close to home.

Roethke Park is a charming destination with various attractions to offer. Visitors can enjoy the haunted train and house, making it an exciting experience for all. The park also features food vendors, including the popular What's Popping Kettle Corn Company. Additionally, there are walking trails through the woods, a picturesque pond for fishing, pavilions for gatherings, a public swimming pool, and even outdoor concerts.
Great place a lot of very nice wooded trails and just an all-around great place to relax
Twin R — Google review
First time here and Ive gotta say that this park is quite the collection of activities for the little ones. Turns out the train wasn't running for some reason, with some confusion from a companion who was aware of its schedule, but had a great time with the kids. One of the nicer, smaller parks we have been to
Brad C — Google review
Awesome experience at the park with a haunted train in haunted house. We had so much fun. Best part was the food vendors especially what's popping kettle corn company was there. They make the best kettle corn in Michigan. It's the same they were so far down on the line for us to get to them. After all the years they've been there they should be dead center of the activities. Hopefully next year they'll get a better spot. We had a great time. Even the weather didn't stop us from enjoying campfire, the train and haunted house

Wickes Park, situated at the southern end of Wicks, is a peaceful and highly frequented location. It lacks a designated area for children to play but instead serves as a gathering spot for adults. Violence is strictly prohibited within its premises. The park offers seclusion and boasts a spacious parking lot. Moreover, it features facilities for launching paddle boats and presents an excellent fishing opportunity. Additionally, paved bike trails run parallel to the nearby river's edge.
Secluded. Large parking area. Has place to launch paddle boat. Looks like great spot to fish. Also has paved bike trails along river.
Bobbie P — Google review
If it was a free public boat ramp. It would be frequented enough. So that the criminals would stay away. You can launch a canoe. But not your trailered boat.
David L — Google review
It's a 4 mile paddle from where M13 crosses the Cass River to this spot at Wickes Park on the map. It's a nice paddle up short stretches of multiple rivers. The boat ramp was under construction with a lot of workers and trucks working on the ramp. But if you just need to get your canoe, kayak, or paddleboard out of the water you don't need the boat/trailer ramp to be available and you can just pull your small boat out at the banks in the park.
Chuck M — Google review
Excellent disc golf course, very well maintained and a good mix of open areas and wooded. Beginner friendly, would recommend. If you know Midland or Freeland courses it's a mix of those two.
Lee S — Google review
Not busy and very quiet, I found a new favorite hang out spot.
Chesseran C — Google review
A sad park for softball families. No toilet paper on day 1 of the tournament. No concessions. Garbage cans overflowing both days. Trash was blowing all over. No awning or dugout for the players. Travel ball should find better!!! Teams spend to much money on tournaments to use awful facilities like this one.
