Casinos & Gambling
Situated alongside the picturesque Mohawk River in Schenectady, the Rivers Casino & Resort offers a vibrant blend of entertainment, gaming, and relaxation. The adjacent Landing Hotel provides spacious rooms with stunning views of Mohawk Harbor for a comfortable retreat. The lively casino features an array of slot machines and table games, including a dedicated High Limit area for serious players. Guests can enjoy dining options and catch major sports games on clean TVs while indulging in the thrilling atmosphere.
Our room was great, very clean, nice and bright( we got a corner room with 2 windows) great views of the Mohawk River. The room was well stocked with towels. We had a good time at the casino, It is also very clean. The hotel itself is very beautiful, it feels and looks very luxurious. We would definitely stay there again.

I was passing through and stayed a night at the Clifton Park Holiday Inn Express. I decided to visit the casino for a couple of hours. It was an easy 20 minute drive through some great neighborhoods. The casino is bright and vibrant. It's in a nice area and has plenty off parking. I felt very safe and had a great time. I'm a video poker enthusiast and there were ample machines and varieties to suit me. I was happy I went and enjoyed myself immensely.

Clean place. Staying in a block of rooms for an event. Messy check in for a few simple requests. Simply asked for adjoining rooms with elderly companions. Well, different floors doesn’t count. Can’t believe no coffee in rooms or lobby for guests. NOT a fan of expensive Starbucks in lobby. A walk thru casino there’s a diner. Can’t get just a bagel or a few eggs and toast. Gotta go for the $13.00 breakfast and coffee is extra. Shouldn’t have to cut eggs with a knife. Signs of a too hot grill. Home fries are deep fried potatoes. Temp is cold in whole place so dress accordingly. As a result warm food on a cold plate in a cold room isn’t optimal.

River's is a GREAT casino! Not too big, not too small and an awesome selection of slots. The staff is amazing as well! Everyone was smiling and friendly! I had the pleasure of chatting with Michael, a tall & handsome supervisor. I was very impressed by his knowledge of the casino and surrounding area. He was so helpful and made my visit so much more enjoyable! I will DEFINITELY visit River's again when I'm back in the area! Thanks Michael!

First time going since I was a kid......was a great experience. Actors did an awesome job. Only drawback was that everything had to be purchased in cash.

Great and fun place to go and enjoy the night of gambling and dining . Dukes is a great steak house to eat at. The food and the staff is amazing. Amaya one of the bartenders is amazing always remembers my name what I drink and even to what I usually order for food. Deff the best bartender and server there. When she is at the hotel bar she is just as good and like being at dukes she is pleasant and always is smiling and happy. If having a bad day she is one to cheer u up and even if u are losing she will put a smile on your face.
Mark B — Google review
We go to Rivers every couple weeks to hangout at the bars (Dukes mostly). The bartenders are professional and attentive. Anthony and Paul are great, but Amaya is the BEST! She is very creative and makes different delicious drinks to suit my appetite. She also pours the best Guinness!
Diane C — Google review
The property is beautiful and clean. Parking is convenient. Staff is top-notch! Our rooms were clean with the exception of the carpet, which was so filthy our feet were dirty after walking across the floor. With the price you pay for the rooms, I expect either a coffee maker in the room or free coffee in the lobby. I shouldn’t have to buy coffee at Starbucks or one of the restaurants in the casino. I’m not a big gambler, but thought the casino was nice! Overall, it’s a great place!

Proctors Theatre, a historic vaudeville house turned premier performing arts facility in New York's Capital Region, offers top-tier entertainment in its beautifully restored Mainstage and state-of-the-art GE Theatre. Known as the community's living room, this National Register of Historic Places-listed venue hosts Broadway shows, comedy acts, musical productions, and more. With excellent lighting, seating, and acoustics, it provides an ideal setting for theater, art exhibitions, dance performances, and live music events.
The theater was gorgeous. This was my first time going and I was in awe of the beautiful architecture and finish work. The seats are comfortable and the there was ample space inside to sit down enjoy a snack talk with your group before the show starts. I specifically went and saw a clue and it was so much fun. Parking was very easy as well. Can't wait to go back for another show.
Vinny T — Google review
We are season ticket holders for Proctor’s Broadway series. We are very lucky to get such high caliber shows here in Schenectady, often shortly after they go on tour. The Theater itself is nice. The seats are a little on the small side if you are a bigger person. If you are a season ticket holder, you get access to the Ovation lounge ahead of the show, where you can order food and cocktails. Concession prices are not alarmingly high and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. There is a parking garage across the street that is a fairly quick in and out.

An utterly fantastical, totally splendiferous, jaw-droppingly wonderful night at Wicked. The sets, the lights, and THE ACTORS! PURE BLISS!
Celeste B — Google review
Beautiful ornate, old fashioned theater. Great production for Neil Diamond story. Guy who played him sounded a lot like him and the supporting cast, dancers, singers, especially the guy who sang Shilo was awesome, broadway NYC caliber. Only issue for me was my seats. I bought orchestra seats, row S, thinking I was 19 rows from the stage. Found out that there was another whole section in front of those, we were just a few rows from the back of the theater. Plus, the seats were tight, like regular coach on an airplane. I am 6', my knees were lightly touching the seat in front of me.

Had a fun entertaining night with Master Chef Live. Only downside was they should provide a camera over each chef so you can pick and see what they are doing to learn things.

I have visited the schenectady market a couple times. Not as big as Troy's, bigger than most others, and I like it. I hope to return soon. It is close to little Italy, and as a good Italian, I must stop at Porecca's and Civitello's also .

If you're looking for a thrilling adventure that will delight the whole family, "Dinos Alive: An Immersive Experience" in Schenectady is a must-visit! This captivating attraction features lifelike dinosaurs that move and roar, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. While it can be a bit overwhelming for some little ones, most kids absolutely adore the interactive elements. From educational opportunities to engaging activities post-walkthrough, there's something for everyone.
Came here for my 3 year olds birthday and she loved it!!!! Would recommend bringing ear protection if you have any noise sensitive kids. Can be mildly sensory overload for some kids but most will love! Even my 1 year old loved it after an initial bit of fear. For older kids there is so much educational opportunities and such great interactive experiences for all! Definitely recommend.
Kate S — Google review
Our family had an amazing experience!!! The price is very reasonable for what you're getting. There were number of activities for the kids to engage in after the walk-through. The dinos were top notch!!! We all had a great time!!!
Brittini S — Google review
We enjoyed the experience alot. The dinosaurs were amazing and as real as you could imagine them. The interactive aquarium was really cool and my son loved the VR. Buying the VIP tickets was worthwhile for the value. Best Dino experience my son has ever had.

This experience was great! I went at the perfect time there was only a handful of people there. Everything was lit up and great information. The lady in the beginning was extremely nice and helpful! The submersible room was my favorite...I could of stayed in there all day. Afterwards we hit the lounge for some food and drinks. Shannon the server was delightful. She answered any strange questions i had(and I had a lot). She even offered to remake a drink if it was to our liking. She was the best!! Thanks Shannon! You deserve a raise! This whole experience was great for me and my partner. Thank you!

Was a great experience. I went with my boyfriend and we enjoyed all the event had to offer. Special shout out to one of the workers named Ang. She really helped make our day a special one with her amazing customer service!

We brought our almost 3 year old daughter and the experience was good. The inflatable costume was a small challenge at first as we thought it would be a plush costume so it took us by surprise but once our daughter figured it out she was the center of attention. A suggestion might be that they have a staff member in the sensory room to monitor the rough housing as some parents just let their kids be wild. Overall a fun family night.
Cassie S — Google review
We had a great time, our 7 year grandson loved it. The only issue was the VR. The employee seemed overwhelmed and not helpful with the head gear. My daughter, grandson and my husband got frustrated and didn't use it even tho we paid extra.

Jumpin' Jack's Drive-In is a classic American-style spot that offers comfort food like burgers, fries, sundaes, and shakes. Situated by the Mohawk river, this 80's style drive-in also features water-ski shows and fireworks during the summer. Established in 1955, it's a great place for families or groups to enjoy movies seven nights a week.
Summertime ritual to Jumpin' Jacks Drive In, Scotia, along the Mohawk River, across from Collins Public Park. Once you go, there is no substitute for a Jack's slaw burger, double up on incredibly tasty onion rings, and add a side of slaw. Slog down with LG DR Pepper, hunny you got a meal. Schenectady across the river, near General Electric. A diverse crowd of families, engineers, blue collar, and bums like us. Events, shows, most all summer, w/e very busy.

A rare drive-in in my area. Food is pretty basic but well executed. The jack burger is probably the most outstanding menu item. Kind of like a big Mac with the triple bun, double thin patty but topped with mustardy, creamy cole slaw. If you add a little ketchup, you get a little of a big Mac sauce vibe, but it's totally it's own thing. They have a couple of fry options as well as onion rings, which I always go for. The ice cream building is also a must when you go here. If you get a shake, always get the large since it's just a few cents more.
Jerry P — Google review
Honestly really liked this place! The staff was friendly, we got our food quickly, for a easy quick place the food was actually really good and we liked their ice cream a lot! The prices were very fair & honestly pretty cheap for these days, plenty of parking, seating, the area was clean. Would totally go back again!

Classic Drive-in restaurant serving a variety of food including grilled burgers, fried fish/clams/shrimp, and many more American standards. There’s also an ice cream stand on site, and they do water skiing in the Mohawk River behind the restaurant on Tuesday Nights.
Aaron S — Google review
The drive in is a local institution with a great history. A hallmark of the speedy service is the shorthand the order takers use to get your order going, be sure to listen for it. The menu is certainly not loaded with healthy alternatives but it is loaded with deliciousness. A well sized fish fry or burger with a side of great onion rings or fries and you've got a perfect setup for the ice cream menu. Save a little time for a stroll along the river, to the park or go on Thursday evening for the water skiing show. All in all a fun, enjoyable experience dining on paper plates at covered picnic tables.
Tom M — Google review
We visited here on 8/30..it’s been awhile since I had jumping jacks food and it’s the last time! for 3 paper thin unseasoned burgers a dry unseasoned grilled chicken sandwich..like learn how to use some salt and pepper and clean that grill better because tasting everything that’s been cooked on that grill is just nasty it wasn’t worth it oh and the next time yall only have canned soda put a sign up saying that’s all you have so we don’t have to deal with the attitude of the girl serving it! For 3 thin burgers a dry grilled chicken 2 orders of fries and 1 order of onion rings and 4 cokes over 40 dollars not worth it at all!! The ice cream is worth every penny though! And one last thing send your employees to clean the tables more!
Cadillac G — Google review
Been driving by this place for many years and finally decided to stop and try them. Prices are reasonable, portion are ok. Ordered the fried clams they were on the bit chewy side So I figure they are frozen not fresh. Regardless is fries food and can't go wrong.

Grano restaurant provides a memorable dining experience with exceptional service and delectable food. The staff, including the maitre d', waiter, and bus boy, are attentive, professional, and excellent at their job. The appetizers, breads, entrees, and desserts are all made in-house and of superb quality. The veal dishes are particularly tender and flavorful. Moreover, the extensive wine list offers something for everyone's taste.
I had dinner at Grano in Albany and opted for their 4-course menu. Every course was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The highlight for me was the tomato soup—rich, flavorful, and comforting—and the salmon, which was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The pasta course was also good, and the appetizers set the tone beautifully. The service throughout the evening was attentive and friendly, making the entire experience feel warm and welcoming. Highly recommend Grano if you're looking for a good meal in Albany.

Grano in Schenectady is a hidden gem for anyone who appreciates fresh, high-quality Italian cuisine. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm, modern ambiance and the welcoming atmosphere. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations from the menu. The star of the show here is undeniably the fresh pasta. I tried their Pappardelle Bolognese, and it was outstanding—the pasta was perfectly al dente, and the sauce was rich and flavorful with just the right balance of ingredients. Every bite tasted homemade and authentic, a true reflection of Italian cooking at its finest. The appetizers are also a highlight. I had the burrata, which was creamy, fresh, and paired with a flavorful olive oil and crusty bread that was impossible to resist. The fried calamari was perfectly crisp and tender, served with a tangy marinara that made it even better. For dessert, I couldn’t pass up the Tiramisu, and it didn’t disappoint. Light, airy, and just sweet enough, it was the perfect way to end the meal. Grano is a must-visit if you’re in the Schenectady area and looking for authentic Italian dishes made with care and fresh ingredients. I will definitely be back!

The Four Course Menu caught our eye. Our first time here, very impressed with every selection!! Our Waitperson was efficient & engaging as well. I’m coming back if it’s just for the (fried oysters) Excellent!! Highly recommended

We hosted our wedding in their private event space, and it was absolutely perfect! The food was outstanding and every single guest is still raving about it. They provide very generous portion sizes, who gets to go boxes at a wedding now a days!? A wedding at Grano does! The staff went above and beyond. They were so attentive, professional, and genuinely kind, making sure everything ran smoothly without us ever having to worry. It truly felt like they were invested in making the day perfect, and we noticed and appreciated every bit of it. They allowed our vision to come to life and were accommodating for all of our wishes. We were never told we couldn’t do something and they made it all happen no matter how big the request. Grano made our day so effortless and unforgettable. We’ll be recommending this venue to everyone we know!

We had reservations at 5:45. We ordered an appetizer and meal immediately because we had a show to attend to at 7:30. It was quite crowded. The waitress was extremely busy. Our meal didn't arrive till shorty after 7. We ended up having to rush to eat part of our meal, and pack the rest away to make the show. They completely overbooked for the evening and made our time unenjoyable.
Lisa V — Google review
We hosted our rehearsal dinner here and we could not have asked for a better experience! Everyone raved about the food, all of the staff were excellent and attentive, and the room where the private events are held is beautiful. Karen was fantastic to work with and was extremely responsive for any changes that were needed along the way. She was willing to make changes for us that she normally doesn’t do for private parties, including having shareable appetizers from the main menu for our guests. The food came out quickly and fresh. They made a number of extra meals accidentally and allowed us to take them home with us. That is just unheard of nowadays! Would HIGHLY recommend having your next event here!

Great restaurant right next to Proctors Theatre. Went here before the show. Sat in back room which is much quieter than the front with the bar. Ask for back room if you want quiet. Service was excellent and staff efficient and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails, wine and entrees. Yummy, crusty bread too. Pictures are veal parm, veal medallions and chicken cattchitore. Highly recommend.
Kevin D — Google review
The good & bad at Grano. Well let’s start with some good things, it’s in a great location. Downtown right next to Proctors, if you’re going to a show all you have to do is walk a few steps to the theater. Also the location itself is very nice. Large dining room, very nice bar, when it’s nice outside they open the doors in front to enjoy the nice weather. They also have a lot of space for private events, I’ve been to several and it’s always a great time. Now for the bad, we ordered “The Meatballs” appetizer, comes with ricotta and crispy bread. The good thing about it was the classic red sauce was good. The bad was the meatballs themselves. I can honestly say they were maybe the worst meatballs I’ve ever had. I’m used to meatballs you break apart with a fork, with these your fork bounced back like a rubber ball. I could barely cut into them with the butter knife, I almost asked for a steak or bread knife. Then when you eat them, afterwards you’re spitting out little pieces of parsley like popcorn kernels, all stuck in your teeth. Not to pile on, but the “crispy bread” was so salty it was hard to eat. The good/bad continues with the entrees. First the good, the Chicken Francese was very good, and they use homemade pasta and you can taste the difference. The bad was the Rigatoni in Vodka Sauce. Most vodka sauce have that orange kind of color to it, this one was all white, like they put way too much cream when making it. After a few bites I felt bloated immediately. All in all its a nice atmosphere, I’d go back, the service was very good, our waitress Jilly was amazing. If I do go back I’d just stick to red sauce or try the NY Steak, they offer it at an excellent price.

Pho Queen is a cozy and stylish family-owned restaurant located on State Street, offering a delectable menu of Vietnamese cuisine. The warm and inviting atmosphere, along with friendly service, makes it a popular choice for those craving authentic Southeast Asian flavors in Schenectady. Diners can enjoy classic pho, rice dishes, banh mi sandwiches, and more. The restaurant has received praise for its relaxing vibe and healthy food options.
A lovely, delicious dine-in experience, perfect for a date! The service was excellent, the waiter was really nice, and the food came out fast and hot! I wish I lived here so I could come again! The music and interior decor are fab as well, just a great atmosphere. We got the: - Kuai Tiao Ruea pho with beef~amazing, hot, flavorful, hearty broth, tender beef - Massaman Curry with chicken~smooth, creamy, well seasoned, slightly sweet yellow curry, the potatoes and chicken were good but I indulged in the broth even though I’m normally not a sweet curry girl - Mango Sticky Rice~just exactly perfect, so delicious - Hot Coffee~delicious Vietnamese-style coffee!

I'm not going to lie, I'm really disappointed. I bought $70 worth of food and I wish I could take it all back. The stir fried noodle dish is swimming and watery and full of kale stems and hard carrots. The noodles were congealed. Also it's cold and I ordered to pick it up at 7 so it shouldn't have sat. The fried duck portion is so small it made me laugh in shock. The spring rolls were extremely small for being a $12 appetizer. you can barely share them between 2 people. I haven't even bothered to fully open the dessert yet. It is clearly reheated "food" that is being sold at sit down restaurant prices. I would never recommend someone to come here.

This place was absolutely delicious. We tried several of the appetizers and every single one hit the spot. It has become our favorite spot in Schenectady & we will definitely be returning often. The food is top notch & the sauces complement them really well. The service was quick and super attentive. The atmosphere was cozy yet classy.

Had an absolutely delicious dinner tonight with a friend and everything was beyond delicious 😋 papaya salad was amazing during this heat, we shared curry puffs I belive? Can't remember but they were one of my favorite things there other than the green curry I got which was a huge portion as well.. excited to try my mango sticky rice later and can't wait to go back to try more new things. If you're around and hungry definitely give this place a try 10/10

I been here 3 times . My first time was my bday and it was so nice . My second time the guy got my order wrong. I ask for shrimp pho . I got some spicy curry soup with god knows . And I went tonight and I ask for the same shrimp pho . He came back with beef pho and no veggie or all the extra stuff you get when you order pho . I ask him for shrimp that I don’t want the beef . He can’t back with a take out bag . I never said I wanted it to go . . Idk if something is wrong with him or he just don’t comprehend properly or he just don’t like me . Because I know I speak proper English. And he even repeated my order and still came with the wrong stuff . Never going back again .

This little place has been on my radar since it opened years ago. My favorite dish was always the Ginger with Mushrooms entree. But with the restaurant moving across from Schenectady City Hall and its odd pandemic hours, its been a while since I've eaten there. But all that changed last night when my friend and I checked it out. We started with the Crab Rangoons, Vegetable Spring Rolls, and Thai Ice Tea. It's been a while, but the Rangoons tasted like they were made with real crab (don't quote me though), and were really good. The Vegetable Spring Rolls have always been a classic, but the Thai Ice Tea may have been the best we've ever had. No joke, order one here and check it out! For dinner, my friend ordered the Pad See Eww, which was fantastic. Perfectly cooked noodles with chicken, chunks of broccoli, carrots, garlic and kale in a yummy slightly sweet gravy. I ordered the Kao Aob Sabparod after my friend pointed it out on the menu and it's also my new favorite dish in the Capital Region. It's an amazing yellow curry fried rice dish with chicken, pineapple, raisins, onions, garlic, broccoli, cilantro, scrambled egg, peas, carrots, and cashews. The curry was perfectly mild, with those little pops of sweetness in your mouth from pineapple and the occasional raisin. The various flavors and textures created a very enjoyable savory-sweet experience. So much so, that I caught myself wanting to protect my dish like a wild animal wherever my friend reached over for ANOTHER taste. Fortunately for our friendship, I bit my lip and didn't say anything rude. 😂😁😉 Pho Queen was an overwhelmingly positive experience for the two of us. I'm so happy that they've maintained the quality and flavors that I remembered before the pandemic, and we'll definitely be coming back here on a regular basis.

Fast food restaurant
Fast-food burger chain serving sides such as chili & baked potatoes.
Went super late. Right before closing. Most places are usually kinda rude cause they already started cleaning, but the servers here were nice. Had to cook my whole order just for me cause they had cleaned up. Didn't have nuggets, apologized and offered spicy, which is fine. Food was great. 10/10 would recommend.

Tonight, I went through the drive-thru, and when we got to the speaker, we didn’t hear anything. We said “hello” several times in both English and Spanish but got no response. After waiting about five minutes and seeing cars ahead of us being served, we moved to the window to ask, thinking the speaker might be off. At the window, we were told they couldn’t take our order there and had to go back around. We explained we had been waiting with no response, but the manager came with a rude attitude and insisted they never serve at the window. All I wanted was someone to acknowledge us—even a “please hold”—but we got silence. After going back around and ordering again, there was still no greeting, no thank you, just silence. The experience was so rude that I honestly wish you could’ve heard the way she spoke to us. She claimed she would’ve heard us if we had said hello, but I can assure you we did—constantly—for five minutes. I don’t blame the employee at the window; he was just following orders. But the manager’s attitude was completely unprofessional, and because of her, I won’t be returning.

Well, I pulled into the parking lot and there are potholes everywhere, really Big potholes! After carefully navigating the parking lot, I get to the menu, which has the lunch menu up and not the breakfast menu. Then the drive-through worker could not hear me. And when I pulled up to the window They had no customer service skills, Slammed the window on my face as I was talking to them because the lady behind me had to get out of her car to look at the breakfast menu that was turned around. And then when she did come back to the window She was very, not interested in anything I had to say, and it was awful. What a bad experience. Kudos to the cooks because the food was good But the experience was terrible. Never had this experience with a night crew they rock!

Only 2 customers at the store drive thru. No one inside. 15 minutes sitting next to the other guy in the waiting spot. Never again. Late for work. Drive thru employee hardly spoke English.

The drive thru staff SUCK. They're unprofessional when ordering, unprofessional at the window, ALWAYS forget something from the order and act as if YOU are the inconvenience. It's a reflection of a pootly managed team. Wendy's is usually my preferred quick burger joint, but the preparation here - garbage. Stale buns, either skimped or piled on ingredients. Go to the other Wendy's on the other side of town. You'll only find disappointment here.

I was traveling and stopped in there to grab something to eat with my two teenage daughters one foot out of the car. I had a guy who was a stragler hanging around asking for money... when my daughters and ifot I side it took forever to get service at the counter because they were only worried about drive thru getting their orders ...when they realized we were there it took four of them to take our order because they were obviously talking and laughing in Spanish about us when they realized we were taking our food to go the cahier asked my daughters for his friend how old they were !!... my 14 and 15 year old daughters has no interest in his 32 year old friend or any of the others ..... very unprofessional and even creepy really !!!

Italian restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Schenectady's Little Italy, Cornell's Restaurant has been a cherished culinary gem since 1943. This family-owned establishment moved to its current location on North Jay Street in 2002, enhancing its cozy ambiance with additional seating while maintaining that warm, inviting feel. Guests are treated to an upscale dining experience adorned with red carpets and white linen tablecloths, setting the stage for a delightful meal.
Wonderful experience. Calamari for the appetizer...and interesting twist with a lemon garlic aioli for dipping and added fried banana peppers. Unique. Veal parm all the yummy crispy goodness. Go for the cavatelli...amazing...but wasn't at same temperature as the hot veal. Seafood and pasta are wonderful. They seated us earlier than our reservation which was great. One thing noticed was hostess was rude to busboy while seating us. Yeah ya gotta treat your people with respect and also not unnecessarily chide them in front of a customer. Check yourself lol. That having been said I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Another absolutely phenomenal restaurant on Jay Street in Schenectady when here this evening looking for authentic Italian in a relaxed environment, haven't had Italian food that tasted this good since my mother made it, wonderful staff! Absolutely phenomenal food, would highly recommend taking whatever special is offered when you choose to visit, tonight's special was stuffed flounder, green beans and mashers absolutely phenomenal food here, could not recommend this place enough if you're looking for high quality authentic Italian cuisine in the Schenectady area along with top notch fine dining, and amazing staffing!.

Can’t beat the food here. Everything is fresh and they were very willing to customize (two of us ordered chicken parm with vodka sauce instead of red sauce and they enthusiastically accommodated our request). Our party of 6 got our appetizers and bread quickly. Staff were very nice and attentive and were not pushy at all even though our visit was late (last reservation before closing time). We took a slice of chocolate cake to go and that was delicious even after the ride home. One of our top Italian spots.

If you're looking for authentic Italian food this is THE place!! Service was so friendly and had such attention to detail! Food, oh the food! Bring your appetite! Large portions, fresh ingredients and flavors that are out of this world. You won't be upset stopping here. Plenty of parking in the rear as well as on the street.

I was super excited to attend the Mother’s Day brunch after a wonderful meal in April. I was sadly disappointed that all the menu options weren’t available at the time we were seated (10AM). Our meal was completed by 11, but I was hoping to get some of the cannolis. I waited until 11:30 but having a 1 year old, I couldn’t stay any longer. For the prices charged, this shouldn’t have happened. UPDATE: the owner called and apologized. She also had someone deliver cannolis to our home. Made an excellent end to the weekend! Thanks Cornells and owner, Maria, for making it right!

Ate at Cornell’s yesterday and this was my second time there in a few months. Outstanding service, very attentive staff - food was absolutely outstanding. This time I sat at the bar and the bartender was warm and engaging and helped finalize our meal choices. A plus was the “special “ appetizer at an unbelievable price and they were better than many specialty places. We will continue to return and enjoy quality food, great atmosphere, fantastic staff and prices from the old world.

My first visit to this family-run Italian restaurant was pleasant overall — warm service and flavorful dishes, though the chicken francaise portions were extremely small - two tiny thin tenders… and one appetizer seemed off. We were very surprised that our braciole didn’t come with pasta :( I hope they rethink that choice... I’ll certainly return for a second visit, as I always like to give local places another chance.

We went for the flaming cheese wheel meal. Frankly, I was disappointed. I expected more of a show. The shrimp appetizer was excellent. The bread "course" was ice cold, with 3 slices of bread for 2 people with a couple of pats of butter. The unlimited pasta course was a mixed bag. The portions were generous but inconsistent. My wife's pasta was very dry, but mine was soupy. The flavor was good and made with high quality ingredients. The dessert course of two chocolate chip canollis was very good. I do want to give Cornell's another shot. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was outstanding and except for the pasta dish and bread, the food was great.

Central Park is a picturesque city park featuring lush lawns, woodland trails, and a charming pond. Visitors can also enjoy an outdoor public swimming pool within the park's grounds. One of its highlights is the Central Park Rose Garden, home to over 300 varieties of roses and around 4,000 bushes. This garden boasts hybrid tea roses in various hues as well as floribunda, shrub, and grandiflora roses.
Absolutely stunning park that is well maintained and has so much to do. From their stunning rose garden, the fountain and water views, the serene walking paths and lush green grasses perfect for laying and relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. There is something for everyone at this park and it shows by the amount of people I see always enjoying it. I feel nothing short of grateful that I am walking distance from this beautiful oasis.

Central Park is a beautiful, tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. I visited recently and enjoyed a peaceful walk through the well-maintained gardens and scenic trails. The park is perfect for picnics, family outings, or just a relaxing day in nature. The fountain area is especially lovely, and there are plenty of benches and shaded areas to sit and take in the surroundings. A great place for outdoor activities, exercise, or simply unwinding. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy some fresh air and beautiful scenery!

Amazing unique ice cream flavors. Nice spot with fantastic seating area. If you're looking for tons of toppings and Sundays this will not be your place. If your looking for great tasting ice cream you will love it. You can sample all of their flavors for free. There are many great homemade icescream spots but even if it sounds odd all I can say is their icescream tastes super fresh and not overly sweet, which I tend to like. It's more subtle but where else can you find Thai tea and cookies and Ube Heath bar crunch , my hands down favorite. Flavors constantly change so check their website for updates. Highly recommend!

Music Haven specifically is awesome! Great shows! People driving through the park with ridiculously loud cars and car stereos sort of kills the vibe at times, but I suppose there isn’t much to be done about such things. Overall highly recommend for music.

Though it shares its name for the famous park in Manhattan, this park is very distinctive in its lay-out. There are fountains, swimming pools and gorgeous verandas. In the summer, concerts and markets take place here. Lots of greenery.

Central Park Schenectady, New York was the location of my son‘s baseball tournament. The field is turf so there’s no metal cleats, but it was in great condition and the entire facility was well kept clean with plenty of parking. There are bathroom facilities throughout the park as well as places where people can grill go to the pool and swim I’m assuming with the pass and just spend a nice summer afternoon

This rose garden is a delightful escape within Schenectady. I’ve been there quite a few times. I’m impressed every time by the sheer variety of roses, each contributing to a stunning display of colors and scents. The best time to visit is around July when the roses are in full bloom. It's a tranquil place perfect for a relaxing walk or a moment of quiet contemplation. The garden is well-maintained, reflecting the care and attention it receives. Definitely worth a visit if you're love roses like me! 🌹

Planetarium
Located in Schenectady, miSci | Museum of Innovation & Science is a must-visit for those with a curious mind. The museum offers interactive exhibits and planetarium shows suitable for all ages. It aims to celebrate the region's technological heritage while emphasizing science education for children. However, there are also engaging experiences for adults. Despite its size, the museum provides an enjoyable experience with various activities that cater to different age groups.
A cool place to take kids and learn how physics work, see some old GE history of Schenectady, or have fun with a date for an hour or so. I really appreciate how much this place appears to be embedded in more niche interests as well (I overheard some HAM radio operators were doing demos for kids). If none of that is for you, the planetarium is an inexpensive addition that is simply amazing. You can actually see the stars, and the guide is incredibly knowledgable, friendly, and willing to provide further resources. $15 for the museum, +$5 for the planetarium.

What a wonderful birthday party venue! We had my daughter's 7th birthday at MiSci this month and it was one of the best parties we've had. The party room is adorable. It has black lights which we took full advantage of for the "Glow Party" theme! Anna, the MiSci event manager was so very helpful through the planning process, to set up, to calming me down when the pizza didn't show up and we had to figure out a plan B. She was wonderful. And the flow of the party was perfect - the kids had time in the museum, then an activity in the party room followed by food/cake and finally a planetarium show. My daughter said, and I quote, "it was even better than I hoped for!"

Went to see James Hood's Mesmerica, the program was good, however the Hemispherical projection system has not been calibrated in some time. It wasn't centered properly and there was severe teardrop distortion on the side the projection originated from. Most annoyingly, someone kept shaking the platform the projector was situated on, shaking the whole image. The Museum itself is very interesting, but needs some more funding. This is something as a society we fall short on. Places like museums are needed, and our children should be able to experience the best possible. I would like to thank Jane Golub, (Price Chopper, Market 32) one of the museum's biggest supporters for all their support. However, I don't expect one donor to be able to fully fund the whole museum. If you'd like to make a difference, reach out to the museum, and ask how to help. I will be.

This is a very informative museum. The AI exhibit is very interesting. Lots to learn and look at. They have plenty of hands on exhibits. The kids really enjoy this place. The comic book area in the front is also quite educational. Loved the old movie cameras as you walk in. The place was clean and well taken care of.
Angie F — Google review
I went expecting similar displays and two specific interactive exhibits the first being this tunnel you'd walk through that would detect how quietly you can walk, the other this room where you'd pose and a reflection of you would appear on the wall after a flash... To my disappointment everything had changed...the front is basically like a scientific children's arcade that features a variety of things but for adults it was not too exciting. The back of the museum does feature more of an adult exhibit but it's basically a bunch of technology from decades ago to somewhat current. They still hold strong in the interactive exhibits but I was truly disappointed that the attractions I was hoping to see were no more. I get exhibits change over time but those two had been my favorite. Needless to say my visit was rather short, I had spent way longer at this museum the first time I had gone. The planetarium still exists, but I opted to not do it because I had done it before the additional cost for that is $5. They still had the hurricane machine which is fun to do and costs $3 for about a minute. This museum is quite small so the $12 cost makes sense. It's great for kids but this visit I felt was not as adult oriented as I would have preferred. They also host birthday parties. I have posted some photos of some of the exhibits.
Tara ( — Google review
It should have "kids" in it's title because pretty much if you're not a kid or don't have one with you then you won't have much to do or see here. I'd say about 70% of this "museum" was just kids toys/playgrounds for children to mess around with while their parents watched. Upon entering we were met with a cacophony of kids running around screaming and having fun. I don't know if this is just a summer thing to entertain kids out of school or if this is really how it is year-round. I didn't see as many didactic exhibits as I wanted as this city is very historical, but the ones I did see were pretty interesting. We had a session at the planetarium which was nice and comfy, and the lady running it seemed pretty knowledgeable about stars, planets, and the sky but the presentation was a bit dumbed-down on account of children being present. My boyfriend said when he went a couple years ago it used to be much better with more actual and cool exhibits there, but it looks like since then they have made some dramatic changes and took out a lot of good stuff. The place is actually pretty small, I was surprised. It took us about a half hour to go through the whole thing on account of most of it just being kids items, and another hour went to the planetarium. It looks like they hold other little programs here for kids too and they have a "meh" store upfront. The tickets in my opinion were a bit pricey for the quality of the museum overall...but they have a membership price which probably in the long run would be more worth it if you plan to visit more than once. But like I said if you don't have children it's not really worth it if you're just going as an adult. One section which was confusing for me was a little grocery store section that seemed like it was sponsored by Price Chopper with a bunch of kids running around with toy carts and fake plastic food. I didn't really understand the relevance to the museum or anything educational it offered to the building as a whole, and to me it just seemed like it was there to take up space.

I had my wedding at MiSci this weekend and it was phenomenal. All the staff were so helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process. A special thanks to Kelly and Kerry who truly were the backbone of our evening. The work Kelly did to make sure our event ran smoothly was incredible. Thank you to Kerry for crafting such a beautiful planetarium experience for our guests. Throughout the night we were told how fun and unique our wedding was. If you are considering a private event a MiSci you should just go for because it truly was an unforgettable experience. *Also, encourage your guests to do the hurricane machine! Our guests had a great time with it and we got some truly memorable moments.*

I took my toddler here with a library pass, thinking it would have some stuff he could do but definitely almost nothing for kids under 10 or so (at least with the current exhibit July 2025). We went a couple of weeks ago and this kid is STILL randomly saying "Museum. No like it. Push it green button, not working. No like it Museum." (The green button did work, just not in a way he understood). Our 5th grader has a good time on a school field trip, though.

The store boasts an extensive local history section that can easily captivate any visitor. Additionally, the bargain section offers high-quality books at significantly reduced prices. Customers have also praised the store for its exceptional service, with one individual sharing their positive experience of arranging a surprise delivery for a remote baby shower.
I went in to browse and found some lovely books for my grandsons and a birthday card for my sister. What a large assortment of stunning items for almost everyone I know. Free membership that doesn't expire. Discounted items (including book shelves of them as well) from holidays and their book selection offers. Helpful, kind present people working there. It's downtown Schenectady so street parking. (Best to go on Sunday)

I really wish I could like this store. I love supporting local independent businesses. Almost every time I visit, there’s an issue. Often it’s them not allowing customers into the store 10 minutes or more before their posted closing time because the registers are closed. This time I made a special trip to use my earned reward. Paid for parking. Browsed and selected a book, was told my reward expired yesterday. There was nothing they could do. Seriously? A regular customer earns a large reward and no exception can be made? I explained that I would be a lost customer, obviously a frequent one because of the size of the reward I had earned. My family will no longer be able to support this business. Loyalty goes both ways. The owner really should allow for a small amount of flexibility for frequent and regular shoppers. I hope she sees this and considers it.

We have a lot of fun shopping at Marshalls. Last week, we bought about 10 tops for our 17 year old niece who picked them out herself. The price of each was less than 10 dollars. I got a faux leather jacket for 34 dollars. We also love the pet section. We found a good-looking, comfy bed for our puppy, bully sticks and a few games that keep her occupied. Marshalls often has deals on shoes and household products. Sometimes, we have found a special piece of furniture for our home. The good news is that surprises and real finds abound at Marshalls.

Associate who took care of my return here for a shirt from another location that was defective was quick and super friendly which was awesome, however... If you visit this location at busy times of the day, even during the week, expect to be waiting in line FOREVER!! Do not bother coming in here for one or two little things. There was only one associate working the front registers when I was here a few days ago (3/7) and they had to call over and over again for other associates to come help from the back of the store and open more registers with 10+ people waiting in line. Otherwise if you don't mind waiting a while, there is the potential to find really good items in here. They have designer brands of bags, clothes, etc., it just takes a good amount of time to dig through everything on the racks and find something worthwhile.

Awesome. Let's start with the customer service. 5 🌟 stars. That day they were super busy, but still offering a good customer service. Secondly, the prices were great.with my tight budget, I was very concerned about not being able to find what I need for the right price and not having plenty of cash to get all I need. Then, I was very surprised. The things that I bought, they were not just at a good price, but cheeper than the price on the tags. Third, once at the register, cashier were very fast and very polite. It was impressive how the long lines of people ready to pay, disappeared. I hope that on the future this retailer can expand their services and keep up with the good prices, but most important of all, with the good customer service. It is very rare to find good customer service in the bussiness around Albany.

Target is a popular retail chain that offers a wide range of products including home goods, clothing, and electronics. It also features exclusive designer collections. Customers appreciate the convenience of the drive-up/pick-up option, although some have suggested that more associates are needed on busy days to manage the crowds and maintain store cleanliness. Despite this, many shoppers find the store to be clean and well-organized, with helpful staff members and additional amenities such as a Starbucks.
My recent visit to Target in Niskayuna, NY was amazing. I hadn't been in this store in nearly 10 years as I had been living in Key West where there wasn't a Target. But I particularly liked the cashier. As I started to put things on the conveyer belt she said to leave the larger items in basket. She came right out to basket and scanned everything. She had the attitude and manners I wish so many others had.

Went here today specifically to get a new PlayStation remote. Went back there, found the one I wanted, but couldn't get it because it was locked onto the rack with a wire. I had to go back to the electronics kiosk where there never is anyone working and pushed the button. It said someone would be there within 50 seconds. They weren't. I waited about five minutes, pressed the button a few more times and no one came. I bought the remote from GameStop instead.

This is specifically for the young woman in electronics that refused to help me because she believes the nintendo sd cards do not work in other devices. Please pass along that they are in the devices and working properly. I had already researched it, and when a customer asks for a product, they should be given it. You presented yourself as an expert on this subject when you in fact did not have any knowledge of the subject or were misinformed. You were given no attitude, you were just having trouble being told you were wrong. Thank you for your time anyway.

Me ans my sister went to this target location today we were browsing around the clearance clothing section where it stated there was an extra 30% off of of clearance items so I went into my target app and tried to scan the barcodes to see what the items would be priced at and noticed that some items were coming back error and saying they weren’t in the system so I went to the lady at the fitting rooms and I asked her if there was an additional 30% off because some of the barcodes were not ringing up in the app, she proceeded to tell me to go to customer service and she said they would probably reduce the items to half off. So me and my sister go up to the service desk and we ask the man some of these are not ringing up in the app what is the actual price? He proceeds to tell me what is on the clearance sticker is what the price is so me and my sister say OK we don’t argue. We go to the self checkout line and noticed there’s one self check out booth left at the end so we go to the end. I check out my items first and as I’m checking out I’m handing my clothes to my sister because they have a red sensor tag on them. Maybe she thought that this meant we were stealing but we were literally just trying to get the center tags off of the items that I was paying for in the process of all of this she is not answering when we’re just trying to speak to her. She’s giving us a smug look giving us an issue saying that we need to scan the items first, which we replied To we are. As I finish getting my items and I pay for my items, my sister starts getting hers She scanned a pair of shorts that had a red center tag and she turned to the Guyanese lady and asked can you please take the sensor off? She looks at her and goes scan them first and my sister response I did. I turn to her and ask again, can you please take the sensor off? She doesn’t say anything to me, grabs them out of my hand. And then throws them at me into the cart when she did this they hit my shoulder. The lady was an older Guyanese woman with glasses. I’m honestly appalled by this behavior and do not understand why this woman still has her job. Me and my sister will not be returning to the target location

I was there Sunday to get some stuff for my daughter and the customer service was very good .

The absolute worst Target location probably in the entire state of New York. Their grocery department must not even be managed because every time I purchase a pick up order with grocery items in it or try to find a grocery item myself in store, nine times out of ten it’s expired. Additionally, this location is constantly out of stock of tons of items, inclusive of items that are not in the grocery department. I highly suggest visiting a different location because the management and employees clearly do not care about this location.
Rebecca — Google review
Employees here are nice and the store is usually clean. I take into account the shoppers are not always clean and some areas are messy because of shoppers and it takes a while for someone to straighten areas up. Speaking from retail experience with messy customers. 😏

‼️😡AVOID this location at all cost ‼️ 😡they are raists and will accuse black women of stealing. My friend and I went into target clearance section doing some shopping around I and my friend mainly was accused of switching tags and was taken in the back room of target by a Guyanese man and forcibly made me sign paper work threading police. He had no video evidence and was accusing me of stealing and switching tags. And band me from going to that target again the self checkout is terrible they wait to you scan everything and walk out the door to stop you. (as I was walking out the door he proceeded to embarrass me in front of the whole store accusing me of stealing when I had cashed out and made my purchase I had the receipt 🧾 in hand 🤚 and everything he did not believe me). The Guyanese man had shown me no evidence of stealing anything I was falsely accused of stealing because of the COLOR OF MY SKINNNN. PLEASE DO NOT SHOP HERE there clearance rack is all over the place it’s never organized and apparently you will be stocked and followed everywhere you go especially if your of darker skin complexion. This target has really gone down hill.

Tea store
The charming café and tearoom, The Whistling Kettle, offers a delightful selection of delectable crepes, panini, salads, and an indulgent afternoon tea experience. This establishment prides itself on its impeccable service and the use of fresh ingredients. For those seeking a guilt-free option, their Goat's Cheese salad is abundant in leafy greens and features a generous portion of chevre cheese.
Our first visit to Schenectady brought us here! Really cute restaurant ! We loved everything about it! The street had a bookstore and some shops! Free parking on Saturday as far as we could tell. If the parking app says spot is unavailable it might mean no charges for that day.
Karen C — Google review
Love this place! Free parking is available nearby, and Jay Street itself is a fun area to explore, perfect for something to do before or after your visit. While it can be a bit pricey, the portions are generous, and the drinks are excellent. The variety of tea options is especially impressive, so if nothing else, come for the tea! The morning and afternoon tea combos are a must-try and usually what my friends and I go for. Expect to spend around $25–$30 per person, but it's worth the splurge. The tea, as previously mentioned, is so good. Warning, they do not have lattes of any sort. Just French press coffee, as a non-coffee drink, I don't mind at all. Service was amazing! Go early for better deals and a table. This place gets busy on weekends, especially on Sundays, with the farmers' market. The atmosphere is also great, but it does get rather loud. Only 1 bathroom for the establishment, so a line will form. Overall, great spot! Check it out.
Sarah H — Google review
This place has an impressive selection of teas, so we opted for a tea flight to sample a few—every flavor was delightful! We also tried the mimosa flight and ordered the vegetarian sandwich with roasted red pepper soup, which was absolutely delicious. Although the sandwich was a bit messy to eat, it was still tasty. The service was fantastic, and while it’s on the pricier side, we felt it was well worth the splurge.
Rashmi J — Google review
Every single staff member was amazing, not just our server! The mimosa flight was definitely worth it,sour apple was my favorite. We had a slice of the chocolate cheesecake and a sweet crepe for dessert, and it was amazing. Overall, the atmosphere was nice, the staff was great and the food was fresh and delicious.
Saskiya S — Google review
Incredible variety of teas— and when I couldn’t finish mine, the server offered me a to-go cup to transfer the rest! Cobb salad was good enough and atmosphere was welcoming

I just had the best turkey avocado sandwich I've ever had, literally! Delicious and not a big mess to eat. The lobster bisque and banana foster crepe were unbelievably delicious and the waitress was awesome! The afternoon tea allows you to have all three at a good price and full portions! Highly recommend this place. A heck of a lot more than tea! Wish I lived in Schenectady!
Daniel B — Google review
Food was phenomenal, not too busy at noon on a weekend too. Service was great, Logan was down to earth and relaxed, combined with the atmosphere inside it goes a long way. Felt very relaxing and lively at the same time. Up there with my favorites for food!
Justin — Google review
The Whistling Kettle in Schenectady offers a delightful dining experience. Their extensive menu caters to a variety of tastes, and the quality of ingredients is evident in every dish. We were particularly impressed by the red pepper gouda. The lobster bisque was a little too salty. The sandwiches were fresh and had good balance, featuring fresh, high-quality proteins and perfectly toasted ciabatta bread. The scone was baked well and was complemented by the cheesecake frosting and jelly. The tea selection was fresh and not too sweet, and the service was both swift and friendly. The Banana Foster crepe fell short of expectations. The crepe had a very raw flavor to it. Despite this minor setback, The Whistling Kettle earns a commendable 7.8 out of 10. Its family-friendly atmosphere and efficient service make it a great spot for a casual meal. We highly recommend giving it a try!

Fast food restaurant
Five Guys is a popular fast-food establishment known for its customized burgers, fries, and hot dogs made to order. Customers can enjoy complimentary peanuts while waiting for their food. Recently, an individual ordered a bacon cheeseburger online and picked it up. Although the burger was quite messy, it was still delicious. Additionally, they found the Cajun fries to be flavorful and satisfying. However, they mentioned that in the future they would prefer to dine in at the restaurant rather than taking their meal to go.
Best Fries that we have had at any Five Guys! They were fluffy and Crispy! This five Guys win for my favorite so far! We just need a blue cheese option and it would be the perfect burger!

I thought five guys cooked burgers well done EVERY SINGLE TIME. Mine definitely wasn’t cooked that way! Employees are to busy having conversations with each other instead of paying attention and doing their job. Either they forget half of the food or they don’t cook it properly. Always an issue.
Nadina A — Google review
The food is decent, but ordering on Uber Eats is probably a bad idea. Looks like my burger and fries were ready 5 minutes after I ordered but didn’t get to my house until over an hour later. Everything was COLD. I ordered from this Balltown Rd location in July and the food arrived hot and was very good. I’ve ordered from the Latham location and it was just a huge soggy mess and I couldn’t eat the bun because it was too soggy. Even though today’s food was cold, it was not soggy so that’s a plus.
Krista C — Google review
The food was still good, but used to be way more affordable and my burger felt lighter than it used to. Gone are the signs boasting "best burger for $5".I got a hot dog with no bun for my toddler and it was $6.99! A regular cheese/bacon burger, a small bacon burger, 2 lg fries and lg drinks, with $7 hot dog, almost $57.

I’d give this 5 stars all around if the music wasn’t SO LOUD that I had to ask the server to repeat his questions re my order several times! It’s also 98° outside right now and I’m eating outside because it’s SO UNPLEASANT with the acid rock playing at top level inside. Very disappointing. Good thing I’m not a regular at this location.

Friendly staff with genuine smiles. Prices are a little high these days, but they are pretty much everywhere. The burger was excellent, the fries crispy and hot - everything just the way I like it!

Denny's is a casual restaurant chain that serves traditional American comfort food, including popular breakfast dishes available all day. It has garnered a reputation for consistent quality and cleanliness, with a pleasant atmosphere. The service at Denny's is exceptional, featuring prompt and friendly servers who ensure a positive dining experience for guests. Notably, Lisa stands out as an outstanding server due to her personal touch and attention to detail. She remembers customers' preferences and accommodates their specific needs without hesitation.
Everything was fantastic. The waitress was so nice and attentive. The food, coffee and good vibes were all hittin' 100%. Wish I'd taken a pic of the meal, but I couldn't wait to devour it. Definitely mad I haven't been coming here more often, as I live close by.

Last Denny’s left West of the Hudson River…Sad. It’s Denny’s nothing special, foods decent, service is severely lacking and the prices are almost $20 for EVERYTHING, gone are $2, $4, $6, $8 etc. But they’re still in business and you still can’t go wrong with a spicy skillet! Waitress gave us the discount because the Dennys App wouldn’t open and the AARP card wouldn’t scan….that was nice. Owners must not be local, they don’t know where Central Park is (literally just up the street) but they know about Albany’s Washington Park….hmmm I say this because they were standing on either side of our table, the only one in the building, having a conversation about it over us…. Clueless. I really wanted to tell them Central Park was less than a mile up the road but I also wanted to just leave and go elsewhere, so we did. I’m sure we’ll be back…. Probably for a Birthday Breakfast Familiarize yourself with your surroundings if you own a business in an urban setting, get to know the neighborhood.

I've never experienced such bad customer service before, my waitress was bad talking her coworkers and manger while serving us. While we were waiting on our food she took a smoke break right by the window we were sitting at and continued her conversation about her co workers. Overall one of the worst customer service experience I've ever had. The food was okay but we couldn't wait to get out of there.

Absolute worst meal and service I’ve ever had. The hashbrowns were not cooked at all the French toast was literally white bread not even cooked. The waitress was so terrible, did not check up on us at all, we wanted refills and never got them. On top of all that, The bathroom is absolutely disgusting. So sad honestly. I didn’t even eat my food.

053125 Wendy J took care of my order, nice pleasant lady excellent customer service ( 20 % tip ). Appearances, booth behind one seat huge rip open seat, customers asked to be relocated. Employee appoligized, stated they previously offerered to fix seat with brown duct tape, but mgmnt declined stated it would look tacky? I guess a ripped, open seat is acceptable for customers? Food was good, kitchen employees were stressed though, could hear complaints w servers ( loud, in the open ).

The waitress kept calling my friend baby and it was creepy. She was rude and slow. The food was disgusting and hard. Pancakes had a rubbery bottom. Ugh. Don’t come. If you come you will regret it. The paper towel dispenser didn’t work. Why? I don’t know.

I am extremely disappointed with the service. I rarely write reviews, but my experience was so frustrating that I felt I had to share it. When I walked in, our host was super friendly and helped us. We got sat and our waitress Diane was extremely unprofessional. when I finally did get assistance, the person helping me was rude and dismissive. It took 30 minutes to order our drinks, it was 45 minutes to being sat we still have yet to order our food or have silverware. After an hour we have ordered our food and still have not got it. Communication was poor, and no one took responsibility for the mistakes. Overall, a frustrating and disappointing experience. I definitely won’t be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

Max410 at The Waters Edge is a charming 19th-century farmhouse transformed into an elegant American restaurant with a cabana bar offering daily happy hour. Situated by the tranquil Mohawk River, it provides a picturesque backdrop for a memorable dining experience. Renowned for its upscale seafood and steak offerings, this establishment seamlessly blends breathtaking views with exceptional cuisine.
Great atmosphere/ waterfront location, great service, topped with delicious food (decent/ large portion sizes!). What more can you ask for? We so wanted to gatekeep this location because it can get booked quickly, but the management team deserves their praises. They are very attentive and make the time to get to every table and ensure everything is to your liking. Hard to find that commitment to great service in present times. Can't wait to head back soon!

We went to Max 410 for our anniversary dinner last year and ordered the Seafood 410. This was worth the higher price as it included a large Maine lobster tail, large scallops, and jumbo shrimp over rice with asparagus. We returned a couple times throughout the year and had great experiences, and decided to return yesterday for our 29th wedding anniversary. I ordered the Seafood 410 again, with the expectation of another great meal to celebrate our special occasion. To my surprise, this was not the case. The lobster tail was very small and in no way a Maine lobster. It was barely the size of a rock lobster. Bottom line, the service from Brie was great, as was the atmosphere at Max 410. I’ve attached photos. The larger lobster tail meal photo is from last year and the smaller lobster tail meal photo is from yesterday. As you can see, the meal yesterday was very disappointing compared to the previous year.

Dining outdoors at Max 410 at The Waters Edge was a pleasant event. It was the first evening with a break from our recent heat and humidity. Service was thorough while every table on their deck was taken. Their Roasted Beet Napoleon was exceptional and the Veal Lobster sizable. Unfortunately, my Lobster Roll was tasty but had rubbery claws. The omnipresent floor manager addressed the situation. He apologized and offered a complimentary dessert, that was accepted and delicious. We had a few cold ones in their outdoor lounge, adjacent to the boat launch. Overall, a nice alfresco experience.

What a wonderful evening with family. We visited in the evening so the view was lost on darkness but the water view from the dinning room and outdoor seating (not open yet) is breathtaking. The bar centrally located and surrounded by two large dinning areas. We sat in the back room by fireplace. Toasty. The food, so many options. I had a surf n turf special, thinking about it four of the five of us had some sort of surf on our plate. The seafood was fresh. The steaks were tender and cooked properly and the Wagyu burger looked amazing. We had calamari to start (sorry for the half eaten plate) and that was out in minutes. So yummy fresh and crispy with a unique sauce for dipping. We can’t wait to go back!!

We had a great time at Max410. The food was delicious. We ordered steak frites and the chicken avocado burger, both cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Our server was excellent—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The scenic views by the river added a peaceful touch to the whole meal. Definitely a spot worth visiting again!

My husband and I went here for my birthday dinner. We ordered the coconut shrimp for an appetizer and it was delicious! My husband ordered the Wagyu Burger and I had the lobster roll. We substituted the fries for a house salad and I loved how they used the good greens for their salad and not iceberg. The salad dressing was very tasty too. As my husband ate about half of his burger he bit into a piece of plastic. He showed it to the waitress Brittany who then told her manager and the general manager Larry came over and apologized for this happening to us and said that he would take care of my husbands dinner and asked if he would like another one to take home. My husband was full so he said no and he then mentioned to Larry that it was my birthday and Larry said in that case our whole dinner was on him and he was very sorry this happened to us on my birthday. The food was delicious and the waitstaff was friendly and Larry was so pleasant to deal with and made it so he knew he would have us back there again. I highly highly recommend this restaurant!

We celebrated my friend's birthday, with family and friends. This is a nice location, right on the river, you can be seated outside or inside. Fun & Games
Rotterdam Square Cinema is a locally owned cinema multiplex in Schenectady, NY. It features six theaters with stadium seating and top-notch digital picture and sound quality. The theater offers a variety of refreshments, including delicious popcorn with real butter. Despite its unusual location within an old mall, visitors appreciate the comfortable seating and reasonable prices. Some recent upgrades include reserved DBox seating, making it a decent choice for moviegoers in the area.
We love going here and really the only reason to go to this mall. 9 times out of 10 they have the movie we want to see in the reclining seats and we always make sure to go on Tuesdays for their $5 matinee. The D box may seem expensive but with the right movie it's the optimal choice The staff are very pleasant, unless you're the problem. Only thing we notice is if it rained recently there's a leak in any number of the theaters.
Willi M — Google review
Had a kids' birthday party here. The cinema had buckets all over to catch the water leaking through the roof. The party prep was not ready, and the workers could not meet the food and drink demands in a timely fashion. The schedule was way too tight to begin with. The movie came on at a prearranged time even though the staff was way behind. The reason given for their unpreparedness? They are not "morning people". Won't be going back.
MoJo 4 — Google review
Brought my friends 12yr old son to see Bad Guys 2 few weeks ago. Prices are fair, popcorn was excellent, had Pepsi products. Had reclining big theater seats that were really comfortable in our theater. Enjoyed the show there and would go back again. Better than the last time I was there years ago but does need updating to keep people coming
Steve H — Google review
So if you want any free refills, you're forced to buy a bucket, I guess large bags don't count anymore. I've never been to a theater that forces you to get a collector's cup that I don't even want. The guy behind the counter said it's been like that since COVID. Oh, so COVID told you to force people to buy the movie bucket, and if that's the case, you only get one refill. Definitely big scammers. Also, the theater was gross; it smelled like garbage, looked like they clean it once a day. The speakers in theater 7 sounded like they needed to be replaced. I won't be going there ever again. If you want a great theater with great customer service, go to Movieplex in Johnstown, $10 tickets. Also, Regal is a little pricier but much better than this crap.
Michael D — Google review
Cost of tickets is absolutely wonderful - very inexpensive. While food and drink are more expensive, that's to be expected as that's likely where the theatre is making their profit. We came to watch How to Train your Dragon, first time to this theatre. Lots of attendants behind the counter to help a long line; we got a box of junior mints, and they were super stale, and a water - that was $9. Movie tickets were only $16, so I consider that pricing to be fair. What I'm giving 1 to 2 stars is the actual movie theater experience. The screen (Screen 1) was so dim, it was like the entire movie was behind fog. Maybe I'm used to newer theatres (or modern TVs, for that matter) but the viewing experience for a brand new movie like httyd was abysmal. The whole experience was like watching a 480p movie on a 4k 65" tv - blurry, dark, and without clarity to the picture. I'll pay more at a Regal or AMC to watch movies, unfortunately. It's not worth the cost savings to watch what I assume is a beautifully rendered movie with their outdated projectors. Consider upping your prices and modernize your theatre where you can, because while retro is appreciable, the intermingling of retro technology with modern movies and movie watching experiences doesn't mix well.
Anthony P — Google review
Took my granddaughter to see freakier Friday in theater 7 and the smell of that place was so disgusting!!! It smelled like piss and stinky feet 🤮🤮🤮 we left and asked for my money back, I only got one refund because my granddaughter couldn't find her ticket 😡 they know damn well we just paid for the movie but it's ok cause they are loosing business and will be shut down soon.
Winette R — Google review
The mall may seem fading but the movie theater is worth the trip. Some stadium theaters and some recliner chair style theaters, they even have DBox seating if you like that. Prices are the best in the area. Saw a movie for $7 at 1pm! Tuesday nights are $5 movies. Concession prices are good too.
Charlie M — Google review
Brought my wife and three kids to see a movie that was supposed to start at 7:10. After multiple people went out to complain, 45 minutes later the manager came in and said the projector was broken. He said we could see the 8:15 showing or get a refund. He seemed pissed. There is a reason why it’s cheap. Because it is run that way. Will not be returning.

VIA Aquarium, located within the VIA/Port Rotterdam Mall, is a family-friendly destination featuring an impressive collection of local and international marine species. The 25,000 square feet of water tanks house a diverse array of fish, reptiles, and other aquatic creatures showcased in 45 vibrant underwater exhibits. Visitors can stroll through underwater tunnels for an immersive experience surrounded by schools of fish and even encounter sharks. The aquarium offers educational opportunities for all ages with informative displays alongside the exhibits.
We came here while visiting from out of town and I was skeptical of how good it would be after hearing that it's a smaller aquarium. I was pleasantly surprised! They have a large selection of fish to look at and all the tanks are super clean and clear! Feeding the rays was an added bonus! We've never fed rays before. My kids loved the koi pond too! I'm so glad we stopped by to check it out. The gift shop was very reasonably priced and the staff very friendly. Just an overall great experience! Thank you!

What a little gem in an old mall! It had been a while since I’d been to an aquarium, and I really missed the atmosphere—this visit brought all those good feelings back. I knew it would be on the smaller side, but it was actually larger than I expected! The variety of fish and other animals was impressive, and I even saw a few species I hadn’t seen in person before, which was a nice surprise. I thought it was super cute that they offer scavenger hunts for the kids to keep things engaging. The staff was kind and efficient—they got us through the line quickly, even though there was already a hefty crowd before opening on a Saturday. It is a bit pricey at $24 per adult, but I get that the cost of running an aquarium is high. Overall, I was happy with the visit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and educational stop!

DO NOT MISS THIS AQUARIUM! Sorry for yelling, but this is a hidden gem of an aquarium. You would NEVER guess the quality of this aquarium by the looks of the "Dead Mall" it is located in. The entrance is in the back of the mall. After walking down a colorfully painted hallway, you enter into the concourse of the the mall where Via has a storefront. The storefront after it is the aquarium gift shop called "The Treasure Chest" that you exit into after touring all the exhibits. There is a maze of aquarium displays, plenty of signage and explanations of what is in the tanks. After about an hour of displays, the area opened up to a couple of touch tanks. One was full of Koi that came up to you (hoping you would feed them), the other had a pool of Rays. This area also has the bathrooms and water fountains if you need them. Continuing on, more aquariums that have the clown fish and Tangs you remember from "Finding Nemo". After that, there was an aquarium "Tunnel" with sharks and large fish swimming overhead, then there was a second tunnel after that one! Quite impressive, as I've only seen such features in larger aquariums in major cities. Further on, the displays turned to lizards and snakes and poison frogs, finally ending in the gift shop. My husband and I enjoyed the aquarium immensely. The displays seemed to go on and on and on. Definitely worth the admission price. Bring the kids. They will enjoy it too! I posted the admission prices and several photos of exhibits. The video of the Crocodile turtle was taken at 13:15 November 3, 2025.

This place was pretty cool. Located in an old mall. Many kids were there having a ball. It was really dark, a little more light would have been better. Many interactive exhibits. We were there for about 2 hours. Worth it, for sure.

The loveliest little gem in town! Our 10 month old loved this place. Wonderful and knowledgeable staff, great informational enclosures in an unexpected location. We would totally come back next time we are in town!

This little aquarium is wonderful . I come here every year with my kids . My favorite part is the colorful frogs . My daughter loves the sharks . We both love the little lazy river for the fish where you can feed them if you ask . Eat before you come !

Dope little Aquarium ! Its not huge but even with its smaller size I spent 1.5 hours with my kid and enjoyed it some things they had I've never seen before so that was a bonus...Also whoever does the themes/decorations for the enclosures does a great job

This is a smaller aquarium, but we loved the exhibits and participated in an activity for Wolf Oceans Day. While I would recommend this as a destination alone, if you are traveling through the area on a road trip, this is a perfect activity.

This park is very nice. They have everything for your family to enjoy. Schenectady gets a bad rap. Come with a positive attitude you'll leave with a positive outlook. There's a basketball league run by Rae' Frasier starting this weekend. Come see some young men and lady's compete at a high level. Hope to see you there. #peace

The Schenectady County Public Library: Central Library is a vibrant hub for book lovers and community members alike. This year, the library is hosting an exciting Summer Reading program across all its branches, complete with special events ranging from engaging Storytimes to captivating Magic Shows. Visitors can explore a vast collection of both new and classic books, including an impressive selection of adult mysteries and thrillers.
I love this library. It is the example of a central library location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Knowledgeable too! There is always fun exhibits and stuff to do. Today they had a display of Star Wars toys. Too fun! Always a good stop. Highly recommend. If you found this review helpful please let me know by"liking" it. Thanks.

A busy library with offerings for all ages and across all media. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Film series is fun and a great option on a rainy day. My first visit was frustrating as every adult in every section I went to was on a phone. Here's a hint -- want a quiet spot to read a book -- the children's and teen's area is quite a find.
Judy G — Google review
Normally is a good quiet place where nobody bothers you for no reason but I was bothered by a staff member for doing hair in the library , which I’ve done hair before multiple times with no issues, but for some reason they told me to leave and finish it outside after I already was there for 3 hours doing hair. They made up some random health violation policy to try and embarrass me but that staff member is the embarrassment👎🏽👎🏽🍅🍅she’s just bored and had nothing better to do as her boring job of being a librarian, it’s honestly pathetic🤷‍♀️smh..

Nice library in downtown Schenectady. Cross corner from the courthouse with a lovely children's area and quiet seating areas.

I can not stress just how important our public libraries are! This particular branch is amazing! They provide a variety of important services to the Schenectady community for free!!! In addition to books, they have audio books, CD's, DVD's, DVD players, mobile hot spots, public computers, microfilm viewers, and so much more! Not to mention all the awesome programs and all of it is free!!! Stop by ASAP and see for yourself!

What a wonderful experience! We went to the early New Year’s Eve show and it was so much fun. I loved how they made everything right. The children’s suggestions were treated with the same respect as the adults’. We had a terrific time and can’t wait to go back. I have been going to the Monday night drop in classes on and off for a few months and that has been awesome too. A truly welcoming space. I highly recommend checking out the shows and the classes if you are looking to have a fun time at a reasonable price. Great job MopCo!!

Came for the hot dogs, stayed for the comedy. Much better than Stewart's on both counts! Would eat here again! Great show, friendly people... I'll definitely be back! Quality entertainment for a good price.

You know it's for real when The Mop And Bucket Company asks for a one-word suggestion and you call something out ("traffic tickets!") and they spin a sketch out of it. Great pacing, no dead air. Irony or song on demand. So you come for the show, but you enjoy the live sport. What I love most is the cooperative spirit, even when it's ostensibly competitive. The clever, bold, heroic saves. It may be hilarious, it is certainly sport, but it also feels like community. P.S. The emcee seems to scan the audience when getting started, but if I brought children (who should be kept sheltered from the facts of life) I might alert the director.

I had a wonderful experience at Target recently, thanks to an incredibly helpful employee. I was looking for curtain rods and although I found what I needed on my own, he went out of his way to stay with me and ensure I was satisfied. His patience, kindness, and willingness to help made my shopping experience much more enjoyable. It's rare to encounter such great customer service, and I really appreciated his assistance!
Natali B — Google review
I don't go to this Target very often. I shopped for some weekly things that I needed after having lunch nearby. I bought a bit more than I should, as usual, but I'm glad that I bought some necessities that I really needed. As far as the store itself, it could use major restocking and major reorganizing. So many things were out of place, that I was tempted to put them back. It's usually like that at Christmas, but at least this time there's nothing piled around the price checkers!!! AND ALSO...there was so many BOXES around the BACK aisles, that I couldn't move my cart around them!!! (Especially in the Back to School section.) I think that you should hire more stock workers and less cashiers!!!
Debra H — Google review
I have been shopping here for almost 5 years, and issues have been minimal, but the customer service has been amazing (especially pickup and drive-up). My only persistent complaint is that self- checkout has closed at 7pm for months now, but there often is just 1 lane open for the remainder of the night, which can be a busy time.
Monroe M — Google review
I know it's 8 pm but still if self checkout is closed you need to have more than one cashier! I waited 15 minutes to bug one thing because the line was absolutely absurd!

Very nice experience with employees. The store is well organized and clean. Would recommend my friends to shop at this Target store.
Nancy ( — Google review
Since September 1st of 2001, the very first time I had ever had the honor of being a guest at a phenomenom I know as Target, I was instantly lifted into a different level of quality and expectation. It’s everything from the convenient layout of all locations to the addictive $1/$3 bins and above all, the very incredible fact that I have never had to seek a team member out for help. Not once. I could simply put a puzzled look on my face and within seconds I am greeted by a warm and helpful person in a red shirt. It is my guilty pleasure. Target has the symbolic mascot white dog with the red bullseye circles around his eye; I only wish someday I could own a real-life version of that dog!!!

My other favorite target store to visit. Wonderful customer service and quick service.
Bénïta C — Google review
I used to think it was a fun place to shop. I don't like the fact that there is all just self check out now. I believe in giving people jobs. I want cashiers back. Place was a total mess..

MORE Perreca's is a relaxed Italian restaurant known for its delicious pizza, pasta, seafood dishes, and desserts. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its popular brunch options and delectable Italian sandwiches. It is famous for its coal-fired personal pizzas and delightful breakfast menu featuring dishes like Eggs in Purgatory. The establishment also provides special meal packages for occasions like Valentine's Day.
My husband and I decided to go out for lunch in Schenectady. We have been to the Italian Festival every year and have always said we should come back to get lunch or dinner at one of the restaurants. Today we finally did. The service was excellent the waitress was very knowledgeable and attentive. The food exceeded my expectations for lunch. I got the Chicken Parmigiana open faced Panini on their Tomato Pie bread with side salad that had house made Italian dressing and my husband got the Eggplant Parmigiana open faced Panini on their Tomato Pie bread with a side salad as well. The salad was simple, but the dressing was delicious a perfect balance to the sandwich. The chicken was delicious and the sauce was amazing, not too sweet. My husband enjoyed his Eggplant as well. The sandwiches were so big we couldn’t finish them, so we took them home for later. Overall, we enjoy our meals and time at this restaurant and look forward to coming back for dinner one day.

Good cocktails, good service, nice atmosphere. I had the Chilean sea bass, which was tasty but maybe not the best choice for me since I've never had it before and it was also my first visit to this restaurant. Overall, pleased with the experience but for me the food was a little lacking for the price. Others in my party were happy with their meals.
Patrick F — Google review
I had lunch at 2:30 on a friday. The architecture and people of the place is what I was looking for. The old crowd the tin ceilings the music it was me. The server was attentive and was able to full fill my request within the scope of my request. This was my first time eating there and I had the spaghetti and meat balls with garlic bread. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly and the sauce was tasty but I felt it didn't have that special old Italian flavor. Maybe it was missing the arm hair. The meatballs were big but a bit too soft for me. Overall a fine experience. The food is only 3 star rated due to me having only eaten the 1 dish so far.
Fury N — Google review
Nice little place. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Chicken Parm and tomato pie. It was unique and flavorful. Sauce as usual with Perreca's was very good. It's old country with a new twist. Thank you.
Patrick B — Google review
I ordered from them and loved the idea of some chicken marsala and some fresh pickled veggies (maybe something delicious like beets). I was sent unseasoned chicken in dirty dishwater and PICKLES AND CARROTS. What is WRONG with your chef!? These items need to be removed from the menu immediately these are not safe for human consumption.
Wired B — Google review
I was really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food was very plain — the Chicken Marsala with mushrooms lacked seasoning. It tasted more like plain chicken with a few mushrooms on top, rather than a rich, flavorful dish. Also, the cleanliness of the restaurant could use more attention. It’s always important for a dining space to feel fresh and well-maintained, and that just wasn’t the case during my visit. I hope improvements are made, both in the kitchen and in overall upkeep.

In my visit there, I was very much happy with the service and the food were just great! Loved the attitude of the hosts there and it was efficient! Although it was lunch time but when we requested, they prepared a dinner menu for us! Loved that! There were plenty on street parking for free at my time of visit! They had a bakery next door but it was closed at the time. Else, we would have explored a little more. This was the first time I saw little Italy in Schenectady!

Tara Kitchen is a popular Moroccan restaurant with locations in Troy, Schenectady, and Guilderland. It offers a vibrant and fun dining experience with colorful decor and a warm atmosphere. The menu features exotic dishes like tagines, couscous, and flavorful mezze, as well as vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Owned by a Moroccan husband-and-wife duo, the restaurant aims to bring the best of Moroccan cuisine to the Capital Region.
The food was good. The dessert was the best. I used to know the owners and loved it when they worked there. Different atmosphere and lots of dishes added to the menu now. I was passing by Schenectady and thought I'd stop in. Will come back again.

I came across this hidden gem on my way to Canada. A cozy Moroccan cuisine with big flavor. The eggplant appetizer dip and chicken vegetable are absolutely delicious. The vegetable is cooked to perfection, fresh, sweet and subtly tangy. Their pita is thicker than store bought pita, which gave a dense texture. —— Came to this place second time a year later and the food is delicious as expected.

New in town and wanted to try some Moroccan food since I recently visited. Got an eggplant starter that was slimier than expected and just was not authentic/did not taste good, in my opinion. Had probably one bite. Felt also a bit overpriced. Had great service from a bartender who offered to remake my drink if I didn’t like it.

We went on a Thursday night during prime dinner hours. There was a 20 min wait but with no reservations that was ok with us. Food was amazing and the service was great!! Well worth the wait! We were kindly greeting with water, their house green tea and menus by our server. We decided to get signature drinks - flying fig martini and the Moroccan sunrise - both very well made and tasty. We got the Moroccan ‘cigars’ for an appetizer which were very good and the sauce on it made it even better. For the entrees we selected the lamb meatballs w/ spaghetti in a special house made sauce which was very good and meat balls were big! And we got the Chicken Tagine with tomato jam, Harissa, almonds and figs - this dish was outstanding!! Both came with a side of seasoned rice and warm pita bread. We also order the charred broccoli with garlic and that was perfectly charred and very yummy. The portions were good sized we ended up wrapping the rest of our meals and ordered desserts to go. We got the cheesecake- topped with a berry sauce and crushed pistachios and baclava- delish! Definitely will go back!!

I don't know how this place is getting all these great reviews, I got 2 hot dogs with the works they did not taste good at all The meat sauce was bland and looked like pet food the hot dogs themselves had hardly any flavor. I took a few bites of the first dog and couldn't do no more I threw out the second one. I also got onion rings they had no flavor and was a bit burnt. The the staff was very nice the inside was nice and historic but for the quality of food that I had I will not be coming back

We are traveling on our boat doing a six thousand mile trip and stopped at the local marina and after reading the reviews we decided to eat lunch here. The staff was amazing, the food was excellent and we got to talk to the owner for quite a while. Definitely a hometown feel, lots of repeat locals so you know it’s great. We had a delicious Philly Cheesesteak and a tuna melt, fries were cooked perfectly as were the onion rings. Pricing was very reasonable and we would definitely go there again.

The fresh farm eggs were incredible, the bacon, onions and pepper extra are just so good! The food is very fresh, authentic, and guaranteed to get to your table in a few minutes!!! This dinner has been there for over 100 years and is always full of locals, one of these precious American dinners! But, what made it a fantastic experience for my family and I was the amazing service. The owner is always on the floor working hard and making sure everyone enjoys their food; and the servers are soo efficient and friendly, they appear to know all their regulars by name! I have never seen a place so dedicated to their clients! The walls are covered with photos of their clients, amazing to see! The owner even took time to talk to us about the electric city: the history and places to visit! We will definitely go back!

I really enjoyed this place. It is sort of a hidden jewel, tucked away, right on the borderline of downtown. The place is over a century old, having opened in 1921. The food is standard diner fare, but done well, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

The seating area is on the small side but the service has always been great.

Canali's Italian & American Restaurant, located in Schenectady, New York, has been a family-friendly destination since 1946. This restaurant offers traditional Italian cuisine with heaping portions and excellent service. Passed down through four generations of the family, Canali's maintains high standards by using the freshest ingredients possible in their dishes.
Went here for Mother's Day with my daughter. For starters, we had the red peppers and mozzarella cheese as well as shrimp cocktail. Our main course was Chicken Cacciatore for myself and for my daughter, a steak. Both were absolutely phenomenal. Alongside of that were family style dishes of green beans, roasted potatoes and pasta with sauce. The service was exceptional. I had not been here in quite some time, but we will definitely be back. This was one of the best dining experiences we have had in quite a while
S K — Google review
An Italian staple in Schenectady for over 75 years and still going strong! I can honestly say there isn’t a restaurant I’ve been to more times than Canali’s. It’s doesn’t matter if I come for a dinner with two on date night or if I come with the entire family to celebrate, it’s always great! After 75 years they are still family run and it shows! The Garlic Chicken is a family favorite, the Cavatelli in the Tomato Basil Cream Sauce is always to die for. But don’t sleep on their other choices, their NY Strip Steak is one of the best steaks in the Capital District. Maybe you feel like you want a quiet night at home instead, their takeout service is excellent! Portions are huge, order takeout and you’ll have dinner for two nights, and it’s just as good as dining in! If you’re looking for old school Italian food in a classic restaurant don’t wait any longer and come to Canali’s!
That D — Google review
My husband and I like to plan one nice dinner out each month. We were craving Italian and prefer traditional dishes, so Canali's seemed like the perfect place. They opened at 4 and we arrived just after. The decor was just as I had expected - very classic and nostalgic. The hostess greeted us warmly, and we were seated quickly. Our waitress appeared shortly and promptly brought us a carafe of water when we said that was all we wanted to drink. She was attentive throughout the meal as well. Warm bread came out first, and it was delicious! Plenty for the 2 of us, and it was hard to stop eating it so I could leave room. Next was the appetizer we ordered. I admit we could have picked something different, but I love mozzarella sticks and toasted ravioli. My mistake was assuming 1, if not both, would be homemade. The platter came with the expected jalapeño poppers, but the mozzarella sticks were the frozen kind as were the ravioli. And honestly, not even the best frozen ones I have had. No matter - we were excited for our entrees. I had heard great things about the chicken marsala, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was tender and nicely browned. And the sauce! It's possibly one of the best marsala sauces I have had. Not a thick brown gravy-like one, but creamy and light. I was so glad I had ordered it. My husband's Fettucine Carbonara wasn't as positive an experience. After watching him for a bit, I knew something was up. This guy had come here hungry and ready to eat, and he was just pushing food around. He said something seemed off - maybe bitter? I offered to try it, and my reaction was immediately the same - inedible for me. A sauce that should have been creamy and cheesy was absolutely bitter. I didn't say anything as it wasn't as though the dish was made incorrectly. I suspected that they might use a different cheese than what we were used to (cheese made from sheep milk, like pecorino for example, tends to be more bitter). We were both so sad as it looked absolutely delicious, but we split the Marsala instead. Overall, wonderful customer service, lovely environment, and some success with our food. We might return, but the menu options would be much more limited for us if we eliminated all of the entrees with sauces similar to the carbonara.

We are from Florida but come here every summer. The food is pretty good! My parents and little girls love it. Servers are all very attentive. Will be back!

We've been coming to Canalis for probably 30 years. As long as I can remember the Chicken Alfredo was the best we've ever had anywhere we have been from the Capital District down to Atlanta where we lived for 8 years. The sauce was thick, creamy and full of flavor. Since moving back to Niskayuna a couple years ago we went back again on Friday night for our anniversary dinner. What a huge disappointment. First of all the Chicken Alfredo meal went from $24.99 to $35.99. I'm fine paying premium prices for premium food (which the Alfredo has always been). However this meal the sauce was essentially non existent. Thin, light and flavorless. I've had this specific meal every time since I was in High School at Schalmont almost 30 years ago and it was always amazing. To top it off (or not), our $15 Martinis were always topped off to the brim. This time they were 3/4 filled, which was another big disappointment. I don't know if minor cutbacks are taking place or it was a really really bad night, but it was enough for us to say not again at those prices. Very disappointed that Canalis isn't what it use to be for my wife and I. Unfortunately when we get a bad meal, we don't feel comfortable complaining and sending our food back due to what may or may not happen behind closed doors.

We arrived about 30 min before closing - not generally what I want to do to staff. (sorry - we were hungry ♡) the hostess was super pleasent and assured us we had plenty of time to dine. Our waitress was pleasant and super sweet. We ordered a suggested meal our family told us about and it didn't disappoint :) we ordered the chicken parm in olive oil, garlic & lemon sauce.... OMG folks - make that happen for yourselves 😉

Was hoping for better. The pasta is not tossed in red sauce, rather the pasta is plated then topped with red sauce. This doesn't allow the flavor to meld at all and turns watery. The veal wasn't fresh. It was dry and mushy. Scallops were very spicy hot, and served in a pile of oily rice. Definitely expecting better for spending over $100. for dinner for 2.

We had a party of 4. Service was excellent. Everyone loved their dinners except me. Was looking forward to Chicken Sorrento. Chicken was overdone but eggplant was very good. Hard to even cut the chicken with a knife. Was disappointed. Been to Canali’s several times and always had a wonderful experience.

Day 4

Off the beaten path
For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Indian Kill Nature Preserve. Not quite as popular as Proctors, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Hiking area
A few years back, the author had a less than ideal experience at Indian Kill Nature Preserve due to a tick encounter. However, they decided to give it another go recently and found it to be a fantastic place for hiking. The parking was convenient, with only a few muddy patches along the way. Although occasionally getting confused about the trail markers, they managed to find their way without straying too far off course.
One of my favorite hiking spots, multiple small trails that link up together at different points so you can take a slightly different path each time. It's usually muddy and some points are a bit challenging to get through without slipping but it's nothing terrible. Very enjoyable hike.
Jacob T — Google review
It was a very nice hike but impossible to get out! The map didn’t help at all and the trails were so confusing. Myself and my boyfriend were stuck in there for two hours and we finally found a way out and it wasn’t the right one! Had to walk 10 minutes in the car. Great hiking spot though if you know what you’re doing.
Alaina P — Google review
It's very pretty, kinda confusing. We hot turned around on multiple occasions, and we were following All Trails. There were also military planes circling above us, hovering rather low, so it took away from the natire experience. Other than that, it felt like I was in a dreamland, like Fern Gully!!!
Erika C — Google review
I visited on a sunny September afternoon. The trails are mixed, some are easy, wide and flat, and some are advanced, steep, narrow and slippery. A few were washed out. Hiked from the parking lot to the two falls I could find, Indian kills falls and third falls. GPS said it was 2.7 miles with 225 feet in elevation gain. Seemed like more gain to me. Higher elevations are relatively open eastern forest, near the stream there was a lot more undergrowth. Falls were very pretty with water tumbling through layered rock valleys, even though the flow was relatively low this time of year.
Patrick K — Google review
A couple of years ago I barely got in when a tic landed on me, so I ended up turning around shortly after. But today I decided to go, at a different time of year, more prepared and I had a great time. Parking was easy. There were a few muddy spots but not many. Sometimes I had trouble finding the next trail marker but I knew it had to be somewhere close so I made sure to not go to far until I saw one. There are some steep areas but I did not get out of breath at all which happens to me often. Many chipmunks! :-) I could not believe these views were just a few minutes from my home.
Monroe M — Google review
Love hiking/fishing/swimming here. Nice little swimming hole.
Nick T — Google review
If you are a novice, these trails are moderate with climbs. Take a walking stick/hiking pole, bug spray, and watch for exposed roots that can be trip hazards for youngsters. Take a good look at the trail maps because it can be confusing if you are unfamiliar with the area. It is worth taking the red trail if you want to see some beautiful waterfalls.
Mary C — Google review
This is a great nature preserve. There is a lot to see and the terrain is very diverse. With that being said, it can be very steep and also very muddy so travel cautiously and consider the abilities of those in your group. There are a few spots in which the trail is a bit washed out and you are on the edge of a slope. Much of the hiking trails are either along the edge of the creek or up on the ridge. There a many chipmunks to see, toads, crayfish, and deer prints in the mud. The falls are both cools but the third falls is a pretty good distance from the parking lot so you would need to plan to bring some provisions.

Andersen Dog Park

Dog park
My dog loves going to this dog park. Unfortunately not many small dogs show up when it gets cold. She does enjoy watching the big dogs though and escorts them (on the other side of the fence) in an out.

Beautiful, large dog park ! Water available for dogs and 2 separate areas...1 for large dogs and 1 for smaller breeds!
Michele B — Google review
This is a great, clean, and large dog park. It has a big dog side and an area for small ones, too It is a super spot for people and dogs to come together, play, and make new friends.
Victoria O — Google review
I am rating this park based on one visit. There is water, garbage cans, bags as well as two nice sized fenced in yards for both large and small dogs. Both of these areas are separated by a gated fenced in hallway. We have a small new puppy who at home is an escape artist. Both the entrance to the gated hallway and the entrance to the small dog area have a big enough gap under each gate that once this 7 pound puppy discovers it she could end up running out in the street. I wonder if it has ever happened? Even if it has not it deserves a negative star based on just the anxiety of feeling your dog could get out. If my dog got out the rating would be as low as it would allow The one time we went an older man who couldn't walk without assistance and with a large active young dog parked his vehicle and let his dog run off leash to the fenced in area. I learned he was a regular that others knew and opened the gates for. If they really want to help him, other members and other dogs maybe they could walk to his car and take his dog on leash to the larger dog area? I was glad that I was not trying to get my two small leashed dogs back to the car when this transpired. The walk to the car is a bit long to feel you and your dogs are in a safe zone. Those that regularly attend the park also can contribute to the experience especially if they are supportive to irresponsible dog behavior. I would do a test run before going through the hassle of getting a pass. I would use this park if the two issues I mentioned are addressed one of which might settle itself naturally if my puppy gets too big to fit under the gates and the remaining issue I can solve by leashing that large dog and guilding it into the large dog area myself. We may be back someday but would like to try the one in Scotia.

Great place to bring your dog! Lots of space for dogs and two different play areas; one for large dogs and one for small. And if the dog park isn’t your thing, the walking trails next to it are also great!

It's a dog park, but it's great, and clean and friendly
Terri P — Google review
Wonderful dog park with local regulars who genuinely care for every dog's safety and happiness while they're there. Has two sides, one for larger dogs, one for smaller dogs. Busiest times are Mon-Fri from about 5:30-8:30pm, and typically pretty calm any other time even on weekends. Overall a wonderful place to bring your pup!
Brittney G — Google review
Great local dog park that's just right down the road from our house. I like that there's a big dog side and a little dog side. I think there might be some trails in the woods around the park, but haven't ventured there myself yet. It's pretty clean for an off leash park, but you do see an occasional dog poop here and there that someone forgot (hopefully they didn't neglect to pick up). There's a dog waste station along w doggy bags. Really convenient park, our little guys love it there.

Theme park
Wonderland is a captivating holiday destination that promises an unforgettable experience for families and children alike. The park's atmosphere shifts with each holiday, immersing visitors in a magical environment filled with stunning decorations and friendly characters. Guests can revel in thrilling rides, including a delightful train and carousel, while enjoying various forms of entertainment throughout the venue. Many families have shared their joy after visiting Wonderland, highlighting the beautiful decor and the warm hospitality of the staff.
To be honest I am pretty surprised at some of the bad reviews. My entire family went to Wintertime Wonderland last Sunday and enjoyed it! The decorations were beautiful and the staff/characters were super friendly! My granddaughter had so much fun and loved the train and carousel ride at the end. Of course there was a line but I though there was plenty to look at and took advantage of some great photo opportunities while we waited. You are able to buy photos at the end or take your own photos. It was well worth the 10 bucks per person!

Updated 4/9/23 They treated my Jason in the most kind awesome manner. I’ve been quite a few times since they opened. The workers, rides, decorations, layout and shows are wonderful. We love this place, I wish it was opened past the Christmas season. Five stars. They have reopened for the Easter season and it was just as fantastic. I am very thankful towards all of the staff especially Megan who is totally awesome and how she treated my son Jason. I had a five stars I’m still gonna give this place 10💯🏆

This was a really enjoyable experience. Each section was decorated beautifully and the characters and photographers were super friendly. There were two ride attractions that were reasonably priced and the costs of the photos weren’t terrible and you can also take plenty of your own. Santa was very friendly and personable. also lots of things to buy and food available.

We came here for Easter egg hunt for kids, but all of the eggs were empty, though. There is an admission fee plus tickets for sale for the rides. Would i recommend it? Mmm, not bad, but not great either.
Christian ( — Google review
We loved the Christmas wonderland theme. Everyone is so pleasant and nice. But false advertising for the Easter scravaganza hut. "Biggest Easter egg hunt in NY" My children were extremely ecstatic to search for eggs with other little ones. When we arrived, I asked a worker if and where they were holding the egg hunt as we followed a sign describing where it was being held. He said they couldn't have one because of regulations and said it would be a liability. I understand that aspect of it, but to tell a child they were heading into an egg hunt that wasn't even a hunt, was a little upsetting for my children. We would definitely go again for the experience. We just learned to withhold information from the kids until we have all the details pertaining the events. Thank you for holding something so positive and fun for these children! ❤️

So awesome 2nd year going and I love the location at the Via aquarium much better then I believe it was the old Kmart in Latham last year. This year much more open not nearly as hot and crowded simply adorable well put together reasonable prices actually more then reasonable prices and everything down to the amazing Santa we had. He was the most genuine Santa one of the best I’ve ever encountered. His voice greeted us with kindness and compassion it was low and friendly just like you would imagine Santa’s would be he didn’t rush the kids to answer their questions just perfect Thank you Winter Wonderland we will see u next year!!!

I went to The Wintertime Wonderland on a Tuesday evening with my friend and 4 of her children, we had free tickets, because we had a promo code. Everyone had a good time. The 3 year old toddler enjoyed the rides and danced with some of the Disney characters as Christmas music played.

2nd year in going to winter wonderland. I loved how they expended on the grinch and gave him whoville. The magic show was a nice addition just wish it was more sound so people in the back could hear. Staff is always friendly and in holiday spirit. This year was a little more crowded and hard to navigate. Wish next year they would make a map for everyone. Looking forward to going in dec 2023. Merry Christmas and god bless

Residential college
Union College, situated in Schenectady, boasts the oldest planned college campus in the United States. The 100-acre campus features Jackson's Garden, an 8-acre expanse of formal gardens and woodlands. At its center stands the iconic Nott Memorial, a distinctive 16-sided building dating back to 1875 and named after Eliphalet Nott, who held the longest presidency of any American college president from 1804 to 1866.
Beautiful campus . Close distance from shopping and movie theatre. Lovely area for walking into town .

Union College is an historical part of Schenectady. It was begun in 1790s in a part of The Stockade section and now moved to his present location. The buildings are awesome. The structural design impeccable. The park, very small, very beautiful, is located on the other side of the college on the n o t t Street entrance side. Bring Beauty with you, as Emerson would say, and you will find it there.

Been coming here for over 30 years. Even broke my collarbone jumping off the big slide back when I was a little kid. Good park with a nice pond and path to run or walk. Good to see updated equipment and a pavilion added a few years back. Nice gem for the North Side !

The recent up grades and improvements that have been made to this park make for a nice place to take the kids and have them run off some energy. Around the back side of the pond is a second parking area with picnic tables if you don't want to go by the playground. There is also decent fishing in the pond. Good size Bass

River Road Town Park

Park
Lots of parking and lovely large trees surround this park/playground/softball field setting. The playground's coolest feature is a 20 foot spider web of ropes for ages 5 and up. There are easily accessible bathrooms, many picnic tables in the shade, and lots and lots of empty grassy space for kite flying, frisbee playing, or snowshoeing. There is a walking trail at the perimeter, and a Little Free Library!

great park for toddlers. swings, smaller slide, crawling platforms, train car playset. athletic fields, pavilion with picnic tables, bathrooms. trash is bring in, bring out, including bathrooms. parking lot entrance is directly on river rd (do not use Seneca- GPS may route that way).

River Road Town Park is one of many parks in the town of Niskayuna New York & my favorite. It's accessed by River Road, thus the name, but it's not easily seen from the road as one must drive up a roadway to get to it. There is a lovely playground for children ages 5 through 12 with equipment such as regular swings, a tire swing, and a baby swing. There is a big structure in the middle the children can climb up on, seesaw for 4 people, and a lot of slides. There is a nice-sized pavilion right behind the playground that has men and women's bathrooms and a charcoal barbecue grill Beyond The Pavilion there is a nice walking trail and also a Big Field where people can play baseball, soccer, frisbee etc. The park & pavillion can be printed for parties by calling the Niskayuna Recreation Department. I did that once for my daughter's birthday and I highly advise that if you are to rent the park that you rent it quite a few months in advance.

Two pavilions, baseball, basketball, soccer plus a small playground. Restrooms on site by the octagon pavilion. Clean park with well maintained fields.

We love this little park! Perfect for our little toddler. We have a near 2yr old whole loves the slide variety and train enclosure (where she grabs handfuls of woodchips- mom not happy about this part lol). It can be packed if there's a game going on in the field but it is usually peaceful.

Park
Lions Park is a great spot for cycling or embarking on lengthy hikes along paved routes. However, it's advisable to bring insect repellent due to increasing temperatures. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the convenience of a small shelter where they can exchange books, which is truly remarkable.
Excellent little place to park and go for a run/walk, bike ride, ect. There are three little picnic tables and some public restrooms as well you can bring some food and relax then go for a nice ride. You can also stop along the way in the path sit on a park bench and watch the planes take off from the airport

My family has been coming here for years! It’s a very beautiful park and not too busy, a great visit no matter the season. I recently went in June and walked approximately 4 miles in the Buffalo direction and found the trail very pleasant, there are a number of benches and rest points along the way and the path is well maintained. Seems to be a popular biking trail if you’re into that.

Park is a town managed bike/hike access point for the paved NYS CanalWays trail and has kayak/canoe access to the Mohawk River (carry craft across mowed grass and bike trail to the dirt/mud footpath to the right of the Depot). People often bring camp chairs to picnic on the grass (no grills provided). Several points with river views (banks are heavily vegetated). Variety of woodland, meadow, water birds and swallows; muskrat, rabbits, turtles, frogs, non-venomous snakes. Benches along the trail. Small gazebo. Old rail station on the is used for artists in residence. Indoor public access only in non-pandemic conditions. There is often a water bowl for dogs on the porch. Public restrooms near the entrance to the lot. Free parking. Sometimes lot can fill during prime summer days. Find my review helpful? Click "like".
Karen M — Google review
The park itself isn't much more than a parking lot, some grassy area, a gazebo, park benches, and an overgrown boat launch. But that's not what most locals come for. Is the miles-long, paved and well maintained trail along the Mohawk River, that extends East to Cohoes and West to Schenectady. The parking lot offers sufficient space and features a nice clean restroom.🚻 The trail is shared by cyclists and pedestrians, so take some precaution while walking and don't dash across the way before turning and looking. That said, most cyclists do use best practice and alert you before passing.🚴🚴‍♀️☝️ You can walk as far as you care to in either direction. In the summer months, you might do better heading West if you care to catch more glimpses of the Mohawk.🌊 There are a few spots to sit down and take a break. Also the cabin next to the parking lot doubles as an art studio some days.🏠 The river offers beautiful scenery and a diverse watershed that makes the trail a good spot for birdwatching.🦆 Enjoy the park and trail, and if you find this review helpful, please like!👍🏻

I absolutely love Lions Park. I walk there every day. Sometimes twice a day! The ambiance is always chill, the people polite and kind. There's a sweet neighborhood library box that I drop off my books at, and today I picked up two! Oh, and the wildlife is amazing. Blue herons every day. Today I saw two baby deer and their mom! Love the views and tranquility. 5 ⭐✨⭐✨⭐

Peter Pause Restaurant is a steadfast, casual eatery located in a charming residence. They specialize in serving morning meals, sandwiches, and Italian dishes. This marvelous diner is renowned for its delectable breakfast options. The dedicated staff members are exceptionally friendly and accommodating to their patrons' needs. It's an ideal establishment for large groups as they strive to provide the best possible service. The food at Peter Pause Restaurant is truly exceptional; it arrives promptly and tastes superb.
I recently visited Peter Pause, and the first word that comes to mind is cozy 🥰 It's a small, inviting spot with just 2-3 people running the kitchen. I think it might be my new favorite breakfast place in the area, and I can't believe they've been family-operated since 1958! I had their grilled pumpkin muffin (YUMMMMMM), pumpkin coffee, and the SPP sandwich -- sausage patty with provolone and peppers with Mac n' cheese on the side. That sandwich was so juicy and thick! My boyfriend ordered the Meat Lovers Omelette and corned beef hash on the side, which was fantastic. I can't wait to return and try their pancakes next time ^_^

Oreo pancakes were great, I was worried the Oreo would be overpowering but it was a good balance. The bacon was the best I've had in the area. Corned beef is my favorite in Schenectady so far. I got delivery so the eggs ended up being a bit overdone.

Peter Pause is one of the best, if not THE best, breakfast place in Schenectady! Good old fashion diner feel, HUGE portions of food and beyond reasonable prices. The staff is really down to earth, personable and always have a smile for you. I can't recommend this place enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Peter Pause is a Schenectady classic. Delicious breakfast, friendly atmosphere, old-timey feel. I recently had an egg, cheese, avocado, and tomato sandwich on their Italian bread (bread was buttered and grilled). It was sinfully good.

First timer for breakfast. Place was empty. Food was prepared fast but the toast was burnt. Seems like it should have been fixed since there was no one else waiting for food. Place looked clean enough and the waitress was nice so no issues there. The eggs were good, the bacon was good but the potatos weren't very good at all. Tasteless and barely warm. The coffee was terrible. The french toast was pretty good, nice and moist but it could have used real maple syrup. Not the end of the world though and the stand out of the meal. This place seems like a standard 2.5 but I bumped it up to a 3 because the staff was nice and that matters.

Only had two mediocre breakfast sandwiches here, (and those were better than most around the capital district) and that was only because they didn’t have their Italian bread they usually offer. The best breakfast sandwich in the capital region (bacon or sausage) is here on the Italian toast.

Cella Bistro is a cozy restaurant owned by an Italian family, offering a warm and relaxed environment to enjoy New American small plates and entrees. The chef's diverse training in French, Italian, Asian, and American cooking styles results in innovative twists on classic dishes. Guests can expect top-notch food with delicious flavors and timely service.
The staff at Celadon Thai are always friendly and provide a smile with their service. The beer is also cold and fresh, and their menu has something for everyone. My favorite go-tos are the crab rangoon and pineapple chicken fried rice (hot). However, the pork skewers are shown below and they were flavorful as well.

I've been here multiple times and the only thing missing is people at the tables. The menu is diverse and interesting, which may not pleasure purists, but it's cleverly laid out and they are keen to ask your preference for level of spice. They have interesting options for accommodating all preferences, so much is available to suit any preference. If you can eat any take out, you can come here and find something that works for you.

Such a wonderful find! It is a little pricey, but so worth the delicious food, and pleasant service. If we lived closer, let's just say I would be there every day.

We went there for the first time on my mom's birthday for an early dinner (5:30), and I was surprised at the number of people there, so that was an auspicious sign. The food is top-notch; we had an appetizer of fried mushrooms, and I had the eggplant entree while my mom opted for mango curry (we each had tofu rather than animal protein in our entree), and everything was cooked and flavored wonderfully. My mom & I were taken care of and served in a timely manner without being rushed. We also enjoyed the large TV screen with videos of people in Thailand (including YouTube travel foodie Mark Wiens) shopping for, preparing, and enjoying their food; this was edifying if not edible. The staff did a wonderful birthday-cake substitute with their Thai Donut dessert, complete with a candle and everyone singing along!

The appetizers were so yummy! Staff is awesome. My Thai rice meal was good, but the rice seemed overcooked. We had fun, so we will try it again sometime. Big fail on my part I did not take any photos. I loved my Thai tea with boba.

AMAZING garlic noodles! Everything I've ever had here has been delicious and fairly priced, even their mixed drinks. I've been a few times for sit in dinner and have ordered take out several times since covid. They also give you a lot of choices regarding spice levels so there's something for everyone in your group. I even got some free mini donuts with a beautiful presentation when I went for my birthday last year. I definitely recommend it!

Restaurant
Nestled in a cozy corner, Jasmine Thai Restaurant is a hidden gem that serves up authentic Thai cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere. This charming eatery offers an array of classic dishes, including favorites like Pad Thai and Massaman Curry, with generous portions that are sure to satisfy your cravings. The restaurant caters to various dietary preferences by providing vegetarian and vegan options, making it an inclusive dining destination for all.
The crispy duck was most succulent! The drunken noodles with chicken weren’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was good and had a decent amount of heat (level 2 although I should’ve went with a 3). The appetizers were delicious, and the service was friendly. I highly recommend this place!
PJB — Google review
Gentle Excellence of Thai favorites from spicy Thai soups to Fried Rice w pineapple and shrimp meals. Amazing hot green Jasmine tea rich and depth of flavor. Fantastic staff and fair prices.
Sonam W — Google review
The food was delicious! As I came in the last hour before closing, I was rewarded with great service in being asked what it was I wanted to eat. I ordered Siam chicken with rice noodles and spring rolls. The spring rolls were crunchy scrumptious. I enjoyed every bite of them along with the sauce on top which added flavor to the rolls. I've never had rice noodles before and I'll be adding them to my diet because they're a great substitute for rice and also goes well with the Siam chicken.

Love their food! I’ve been coming here for their lunch special for a few years now. I recommend the garden salad as an app - which is a pretty large portion size, btw. It’s refreshing and their ginger dressing doesn’t compare to others I’ve had. My go-to dish is the Jasmine Spicy Basil w/ shrimp. The level of spiciness is perfect AS IS. Anything beyond that will be overpowering. Be mindful of the level of spice you choose for that reason! Low wait times- especially during lunch. Clean environment, pleasant staff. Must visit if you haven’t already.
Dasey T — Google review
This was my first time coming here. I ordered the pineapple fried rice with chicken for take-out. The meal was delicious and very fresh ingredients were used. It was received hot, and on time. The staff were very polite and friendly. Off street parking in their parking lot is easy and quick. I will come back again and I highly recommend if you like healthy great tasting food!

We really like Jasmine Thai and have been going here for years. The service is consistently excellent and they’ve even been amping it up lately with live music and such. They can get really busy and they’ve even still manage it well. The food is solid. The flavors aren’t as well-developed as other area restaurants, but the food is consistent. They also do a great job accommodating both people who love spicy and those of us who can’t handle spice. Parking can be a bit tight, but we’ve always managed to get a spot.

Jasmine Thai Restaurant is a amazing restaurant. I had the dumplings and wonton soup. And they both where amazing the broth for the wonton soup was amazing. And the dumplings where addicting I could not get enough of them. Will be coming back a second time. The workers are nice and make you feel welcomed. Recommend coming here if you are in the area.

Chicken wings restaurant
My wife and I always seek out delicious pizza, and we stumbled upon Uncle Rico's Pizza on a whim. We were pleasantly surprised by the well-balanced flavors of their pie, making it one of the best we've had in a while. The whole experience, from ordering to eating, left us thoroughly impressed. We definitely plan on returning as Uncle Rico's ranks among our top three pizza places. My wife gave the overall pizza experience a score of 9.
Uncle Ricos has some of the best pizza and wings around. Wings are a great size and always tasty. My husband and I are never disappointed with our meal. Thank you for our recent anniversary pizza. We were shocked by the size and it's a really nice perk that you offer along with the birthday pizzas.
Cait G — Google review
Uncle Rico's has the best pizza and wings around. Pizza is delicious NY Style that we love. The wings are amazing with their lightly breaded outside and really moist inside. The sauce is also just perfect. This pizza literally saved our dogs life when she was fighting through the awful Dog Virus that was going around. She wouldn't eat a thing, even freshly cooked chicken breast while she was fighting for her life. Things were looking very grim last New Years. We decided to order out because we were occupied treating our dog and trying to get her to eat basically anything. We picked up a Large Pizza from Uncle Rico's, and our girl Lily Mae took her first full bite of food in 2 days. She picked at the pizza crust after refusing absolutely everything else. She slowly started eating more and more and made a full recovery. Thanks Uncle Rico's for your amazing food and for giving our dog many extra years in her life.
Jason G — Google review
Nice slice joint 🍕🍕 They've got a grab and go menu with premade cold sammies for those in a hurry. Not that the 2 minutes it took for them to heat my slice was a long time, it wasn't. Friendly staff. Grabbed a slice of margarita. Price was a bit steep. Whoever spun the pie did a great job making the dough really thin. Lots of sauce, not stingy with the fresh moz. Good portion on the slice too. Flavor was the only thing, just didn't hit home. Nothing wrong with the slice, just personal preference. They've got a slammin $5 for a small pizza deal. Catch is that it's from 1-4pm. Next time 🤤
Big D — Google review
Vegan pizza on their website versus the vegan pizza we paid $15.65 for. Truly disappointed at the few piece of cheese we received, felt more like a tomato pizza.
Camille P — Google review
We’ve ordered from Uncle Rico’s before and the food has always been pretty good. But tonight’s delivery experience was a major letdown and honestly made me question whether we will order from them again. We placed an order using our usual account, which already has our correct address saved. Over an hour passed with no delivery, so I called to check in. The person who answered was polite and said the driver had been trying to reach us because he could not find our address or that no one was answering the door. I checked our saved address in the app and it was absolutely correct. Shortly after that, the delivery driver arrived. I asked if the food was still warm and he said it was. Then as he turned to leave, I heard him mutter under his breath that the address had been wrong. I told him that it was not, and he immediately shoved the receipt in my face and demanded that I look at it. Sure enough, the printed address on his copy was incorrect. He continued to be rude, and I will admit I lost my cool. I later sent him a screenshot of my correct address from the app to make the point. There were a couple missed calls on my phone but no voicemail. If the address really was wrong, better communication on his part would have made a huge difference. This was a frustrating experience that could have been handled much more professionally. I am not sure if the issue came from the restaurant or the delivery system, but blaming the customer when we have ordered before and clearly have the right address in the system is not acceptable. If you are planning to order from Uncle Rico’s, I strongly recommend calling to confirm your address just in case. Or better yet, stick with pickup. That has always gone smoothly for us. But I will not be using delivery from them again after this.

I've been to Uncle Rico's a few times now, and the pizza is consistently delicious. The crust is perfect, and they're generous with the toppings. I especially love the pepperoni! The staff is always friendly and the service is quick. My only real complaint is the lack of seating. It's a small place, which is fine, but it would be great to have a few more tables to enjoy the food right there instead of having to take it to go every time. Definitely a go-to spot for takeout, though.
Nik — Google review
This little pizzeria in a plaza surprised me. Very friendly staff and a nice clean place with an open concept. I just got a cheese pizza and there is something about the sauce I dunno what Uncle Rico does but it was very good. It's a great pizza overall.

This charming park features various zones that cater to all ages, including playgrounds for toddlers and older kids, basketball courts, volleyball areas, and even outdoor workout equipment. The delightful hopscotch and four-square designs on the sidewalks add a playful touch to this well-maintained space.
Cute pocket park with multiple zones, workout equipment, big kids playground, toddler playground, basketball courts etc. The cute hopscotch, 4square, and us map paintings on the sidewalk areas add charm and functionality. A small quaint theater. Dreamgirls had outstanding actors and actresses. However, I would recommend not sitting in L 13 or L 14 it was very uncomfortable. I would return but pick a different section towards the front of the theater.

Lovely shows... amazing cast... chairs extremely uncomfortable, though. I have been here a few times, and the shows always display real talent. Seat 9 in the balcony 1st row is not a great seat. Due to the layout you can't see half the stage which is a bummer.

Very nice and safe place to bring your children of all ages. Tennis ball court, basketball half court, swings for toddlers and teens, slides, jungle gyms (one for the smallest of toddlers, one for the older ones as well). 4 picnic tables under a pavinion, pet friendly, both sun and shade. This Italian eatery provides vegetarian options and serves lunch and dinner. Customers have praised the clean and spacious establishment as well as the competent and friendly staff.
Pizza king 👑. The king of New York City style pizza. Some really choice variations on the pies. Definitely the best for thin crust in the Schenectady area. Really enjoyed it, crust, sauce, toppings all on point.

Decent pizza almost now wait fresh by the slice would recommend! Great atmosphere!
Jjaster8 ( — Google review
I'm giving this place 5 stars because the pizza was so good. The hubby and I both liked our slices. I got a broccoli deep dish slice and he got a thin sausage and peppers slice. They had a nice variety of slices ready to go. There were two big negatives though. One, there was no air conditioning, which, in a place with pizza ovens firing, made it extremely uncomfortable to eat there. And two, no free refills on the fountain drinks.
Ivets — Google review
Was recommended to eat here by our hotel front desk. Pizza by the slice did not disappoint. Service was fast and was plenty of room for a party of 6. Great large NY style slices, and meat lovers deep dish. Will absolutely stop here again next time we come to Schenectady!
Jessica M — Google review
As tough as it is to leave this review this place has gone very far downhill… cheese slice was very small, two of them smaller than one slice of how it used to be. I understand inflation but this was excessive. Also cheese and dough taste the same but sauce is off a bit. Lastly the dough is not stretched properly. The pizza is too heavy and thick. It never was like that before. I would say there is a lot of room for improvement, if you considered it.
Tyler P — Google review
Loved the crust but wasn't overwhelmed with the complete flavor of a slice with tomato. Didn't realize that it didn't have tomato sauce too though or I would've made another choice. Actually, there's so many options but it's a guess what many are and I don't eat meat. I'd try this spot again!

Mexican restaurant
La Mexicana Restaurant & Grocery offers authentic Mexican cuisine with influences from other South American countries. The ambiance is simple, but the dishes are flavorful and reasonably priced for the generous portion sizes. The guacamole is particularly delicious. While the menu isn't extensive, there are unique options and variations available. It's highly recommended to try their tacos, carnitas, or Al pastor. For a satisfying end to your meal, indulge in their scrumptious flaun dessert.
Absolutely delicious! I got three tacos- al pastor, carnitas, and chorizo, all were incredible. Margarita was sufficient. Rice and beans were ok. Overall a great place and the attached grocery store is very nice!

Authentic Mexican food with other south American influences. The atmosphere is basic, but food is delicious with good value for the portion sizes. The guacamole is very tasty. The menu is not huge, but there are some original dishes and variations. Definitely try the tacos, carnitas or Al pastor. The flaun is a delicious dessert to end the meal. Parking is tight, but there is more around back. There were many Spanish and Mexican people eating there when we were so it speaks to thr native flavors they offer. Don't forget to drop by the store for some different foods you can't find elsewhere.
Joseph S — Google review
I had the beef tongue tacos and the menudo. Both were absolutely fantastic. Well seasoned and authentic Mexican cuisine staff was extremely friendly and attentive food was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for authentic Mexican cuisine in the Schenectady area
Jeff S — Google review
This place is absolutely fantastic. I went here occasionally to pick up some groceries and their selection of authentic Mexican goods is great, especially in an area where finding Mexican-made products can be difficult. A few months ago I decided to try their restaurant food, and was blown away. I got Mexican street tacos, with beans and rice, and it was so delicious and authentic that this place has become one of my go-to’s for dinner. The prices are also very good. I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for the most authentic Mexican food around Schenectady.

Dawn V — Google review
In town on business and found this lovely sounding place. Menu looked great, reviews were exceptional, so I gave it a shot. This is the kind of restaurant I want to succeed. I was able to walk in and get a table immediately at 630 on a Wednesday night. I ordered the Rhone red wine, the lobster bisque, chicken sherry, and cannoli cheesecake. The lobster bisque is a twist on the traditional as it has a large lobster ravioli on top of the bisque, but no lobster chunks inside the soup. You are intended to dip it. Interesting idea! However, I found the flavor to be lacking, and there was a specific ingredient added to the bisque that I didn't care for. On the the main dish. The chicken sherry, was flavorful and unique, I would say good not great, but a large portion, I took half to go in a box. The cannoli cheesecake I was most excited about but a little nervous about the citrus component, and unfortunately the citrus just overwhelmed all the other flavors. As far as service, while definitely friendly, my water sat empty until I could flag someone down for a refill. I had to ask for plates to be cleared and a dessert menu, little things, again, good not great. As stated I really want this place to do well, I liked the 'old home vibe' and think they have a lot of good things in place. A few smallish tweaks and I believe it would be a stand out establishment.

I would dine here weekly if I lived closer. The staff was not only friendly but professional to a fault. The bartender knew the qualities and differences of all their wines and liquors ... a rarity! The chefs modified a menu item to satisfy my craving (there was no eggplant parm on the menu and I was dying for some). There were eight of us eating at the bar and every dish - app, salad, main and dessert - was perfect with the exception of the risotto being slightly overcooked. The desserts were phenomenal... and if you want to know how crème brûlée should be prepared, look no further .... this was perfection and you will not find any better.

The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. They always ask if we're going to other events downtown or need to get back to work so they can tailor their service to our scheduling needs, which is such a nice touch. The food is always fresh and delicious. Our favorites are the Cherry Pepper Chicken, Shrimp Panzanella, Bacon Cheeseburger Wrap, and Vegan Ravioli. Oh, and the fries are out of this world! We'll continue to be back!

It was three of us, one person had soup and salad, the other had a steak and I had the fried fish with curlyfries. We all loved it. The food was definitely made with love. And out server was great! It was delicious. We will be dinning here again soon.

This restaurant is Schenectady’s Best kept secret. I’ve been there several times for lunch and it never disappoints. The service is spot on from when you walk in the door, no pun intended but I’m in a wheelchair(handicap accessible) to when you are leaving, opening doors and exchanging goodbye pleasantries. The place itself is immaculate, shiny floors, beautiful atmosphere, great background music and above all delicious food you know is prepared to order. While being there for lunch, I ordered off the dinner menu with no problem, as the staff is extremely accommodating. The menu includes a wide variety of options to satisfy every palate. Next time you’re looking for a great, quiet and delicious place for lunch or dinner, give Chez Nous a try you will not be disappointed. They have private spacious rooms for small private events and I will reiterate the place is spotless and extremely comfortable with GREAT FOOD! Thank you and Buon Appetite! Dean J. Tessitore

Beautiful ambience! The food from my salad and bread to my beef wellington was one of the best meals I've ever had. Great bar for a drink before dinner. Ashley and her staff were very attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back!!

Coffee shop
Dunkin' is a well-established coffee shop renowned for its extensive menu of delectable breakfast options and an assortment of tempting coffee beverages. This long-standing chain offers a wide range of signature morning meals and a diverse selection of java concoctions. The level of customer service provided at Dunkin' is exceptional, with staff members consistently displaying warm hospitality to patrons.
Wish i could rate even higher. Ive walked in at 8:00 was greeted by a very friendly front counter worker, saw many staff cleaning, working hard or just being friendly with each other. The manager is funny and seems to be very passionate about team leadership, the gentleman who made my cookie dough coffees absolutely nailed the presentation! There was also a team member cleaning the vents!! A+ service and cleaning crew!

I don't know the correct term these days but the he/she manager is the rudest ever. If HE/ she don't like dealing with the public I guess HE/she shouldn't be in customer service. He/she is never polite no matter the time of day and is very hard of hearing because you need to repeat your order 5-6 times if he/she is taking it. BRING BACK THE OLD MANAGER SHE WAS THE BEST THAT YOU HAD WORKING THERE

So I came to this Dunkin a few days ago and online it said it was open but then when I went to the door it was closed I felt really werided out by that because the girls never even came to at least open the door for me or let me know it was only drive throughs it was my very first time at this Dunkin . I feel like it was totally wrong someone who worked there could have let me know they definitely side eyed me as I was looking through the window . It was the afternoon so I know it was open. I had to cancel my order and re buy it from another location.

Who ever worked the drive-through this evening was very rude. I will never come back to this location. This was the first time that I have ever felt disrespected by a crew member from Dunkin.

***Warning!*** If you have an emotional support animal you will be ordered to leave immediately! I'm a combat veteran and i and my little dog were ORDERED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY when I was in line getting food. No questions asked. Just LEAVE!

It's a nice little spot but it needs cleaning staff. All the tables were dirty, I had to clean a table myself in order to able to dine in

This Dunkin Crew is hands down the Best. They have always taken great are of me and my crew at Whispering Pines GC. It's kinda tradition to go here now. They actually know us pretty well. My son, our pick up guy, always tips because they are so on top of our order. So Thank you for being so Great. See you soon.

For the most part this Dunkin Donuts is fantastic with very few errors in orders makes this a prime dine. Don't come on a Saturday or you will be waiting a while. Update 2021 continues to be slammed with lines into the St, Also This dunkin' donuts along with others show that they're open online even though they're closed, losing money, garbage all over people hanging out in the parking lots. If anybody wants something from dunkin' donuts they'd better frequent the lower Broadway and Congress st one which is open way later than the other ones at 7:00pm and they're closed losing big money. July 2022 Sundays and Mondays appear to be packed as Saturday May 4th 2024 drive thru out in street and yet the full on crew at this location banged it out quick time!
