Sights & Landmarks
The Blue Water Bridge is a stunning architectural marvel that connects Sarnia to the United States, offering breathtaking views of the sky-blue water and beautiful waterfront. This border community provides easy access to major markets in both Canada and the U.S., making it an ideal destination for travelers. The bridge itself may not be as visually striking as others, but its functionality and efficiency make it a popular choice for crossing between the two countries.
It is a sight to see! With a raging river below and tons of boats, working their way up that river to escape into Lake Huron. There is a fantastic trail leading down the waterfront, lots going on with the park beside the trail and food trucks, etc.

Can be chaotic I'm backed up at times the view at the top of the bridges are wonderful when you're over the river p definitely not for the faint-hearted or the person that is scared of heights. What walking under the bridge at the boardwalk or fishing off the boardwalk under the bridge is great delight you can catch him anything along with walleye and salmon or see people scuba diving along the river

Unfortunately if we would have had kids there which we would enjoy the pool but couldn't because it was filthy the floors the bathrooms. The room stunk I don't know if it was the carpeting or what it was we complained and they brought us up a bottle of breeze to spray all over our room we've got pictures that will be included not impressed with this place at all, there was food inside the air conditioner that made it stink trying to cool our room down the faucet and the tub ran and ran and ran, fix holes in the walls, wallpaper coming apart just totally disappointed!!!!

Goergeous views, a park at every turn, beautiful walkways and places to enjoy a quick dip or dive! Phenomenal venues, food and never-ending possibilities for entertainment. Loved it!

This is always a great place to visit. You can grab a bite to eat from the few chip trucks that are available and sit and watch as large freightliners, small boats and sometimes large amounts of people in floaties traveling underneath the Twin Bridges.

Beautiful atmosphere in and around the Blue Water Bridge! The people are smiley and friendly! The food vendors are awesome! The current in the river under the bridge is VERY STRONG, I personally wouldn’t want to swim here, but better swimmers than me do!

Blue water bridge, heading to Sarnia from Port Huron. This is my favorite border to travel of the two here in Michigan I’ve been to so far, ambassador and blue water. I think there’s typically less traffic, the border workers are a bit nicer and I think the bridge is a little nicer too. I love taking this way and heading up to London.

Thomas Edison Park in Port Huron is an incredibly stunning location that is a must-visit if you are in the area or passing through. The park offers breathtaking views and is completely free to explore. It provides ample parking facilities and is frequented by numerous freighters and boaters who enjoy the surrounding waters. Don't forget your camera, as the park serves as a magnificent backdrop for capturing memorable photos.
Very, very beautiful place to just relax and do NOTHING!❤️ People watch, stroll, grab a blanket and enjoy the breeze...you name it. I went in the early afternoon. I plan to go back and see the bridge during the evening/night hours, walk the town and visit more restaurants...ENJOY!!

Great park! Beautiful bike path along the riverfront. We spent the afternoon watching the ships go by & was not disappointed! We went specifically for the Viking Octantis! Just wished there were restrooms in this park.

I have not been under the bridge in about 18 years. Today, I was so delighted to see the restoration and walkway the city has placed. What a gorgeous park. It was my vacation today...drove 1.5 hours to get to it and just take in the beautiful blue water. So well worth it. Lightship Huron I had seen before, and the prices were a little high for a tour...but fun to see on the walkway if you just want to get up close. The Blue Water Bridge is a beauty!

Food was very, very good. The service was excellent. Wait time to get a table was short. Couldn't ask for anything more.. We will definitely be back there again, soon!!!

Breathtakingly beautiful, A MUST see if you are in or traveling thru Port Huron. It's absolutely free and there is more than enough parking and plenty of freighters and other boaters out enjoying the water. Make sure you snap some photos as it it such a beautiful backdrop.

Freighters Eatery & Taproom is a top choice for those seeking traditional American cuisine in Port Huron. The restaurant prides itself on using only the freshest ingredients and regularly updates its menu with creative recipes and seasonal offerings. With a dog-friendly outdoor seating area, patrons can enjoy their meals while taking in scenic views of the St. Clair River and the Blue Water Bridge.
We absolutely love Freighters! Watching the boats and ships pass by while dining is such a unique and relaxing experience. The scenery is beautiful, the food is always delicious, and the atmosphere can’t be beat. Be sure to reserve a table by the window for the best views—and when it comes to dessert, do yourself a favor and try one of each. They’re all fantastic!

Great view, great food, great service—this place really has it all. We had an amazing experience from start to finish, and it’s one of those spots you’ll want to return to every time you're in the area. The view alone is worth the visit. We sat by the window with a stunning look at the bridge to Canada and got to watch a few freighters pass by—a peaceful, almost cinematic backdrop that added so much to the meal. If you’re a fan of waterfront dining, this one’s hard to beat. The food was just as impressive. Everything was cooked to perfection, well-portioned, and full of flavor. It’s clear the kitchen takes pride in both presentation and taste. We tried a couple of different dishes and both were spot-on. Fresh ingredients, thoughtful pairings, and nothing felt rushed. Service was excellent—friendly, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. Our server made sure we had everything we needed and even pointed out the best times to catch the ships moving through. This is the kind of place you remember not just for the meal, but for the whole experience. Whether you're dining with family, friends, or just enjoying a peaceful dinner for two, this place is an absolute gem.

Our last visit there was the absolute best so far. Ordered the deep fried pickles and the ahi tuna appetizer. The pickles were fantastic- served with a perfect homemade tasting ranch sauce and a delicious spicy chili sauce- it has some heat which perfectly compliments the zingy pickle. The ahi tuna appetizer was good- the won ton “cups” were a little too crisp for my taste. The entrees wowed! The salmon served on wild rice with mushrooms and pea pods was perfectly cooked and the salmon was not fishy tasting and maybe the best I’ve had to date. The NY was perfectly cooked and a quality steak. Service was fantastic! Our server was polite, she answered all my questions happily and we couldn’t have asked for more. Can’t wait to go back!
Drea P — Google review
Service was great, food was great, and it was clean. We made reservations to sit next to a window so we could watch the boats pass by. I ordered fish and chips and my children ordered chicken strips with waffle fries and butter noodles with waffle fries and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was all very delicious. They also allow dogs to sit on the patio, dogs inside when there patio is closed as long as they’re on a leash. Not that we brought our dog. The hostess told us this. We will definitely be back when we’re in town. Thank you for the great service.
Tracey P — Google review
Well how do I start.. I wouldn’t come back unless I was drinking .. I had high hopes for this place. I’d like to say that the atmosphere was beautiful because of the scenery. Now the service was not good at all our server was musty and looked like he hadn’t showered in a few days. I paid for a burger that cost me $20 bucks and idc how much food is as long as it’s good but when I took my first bite it tasted like it was dipped in straight salt. It literally was just meat and cheese and lettuce tomato and pickles no mayo or mustard or even ketchup. He’ll at this point I should have gotten up and just said I was going to McDonald’s. At that point I would have taken something. The patty looked like it came out of a frozen since it was nicely shaped into a square round shape. Yes never again…! The las thing was we ordered the fish tacos that came with chips and “salsa” well that definitely was not “salsa” it tasted like straight tomato sauce. I’m not sure how this place gets such amazing reviews because the food just is not good at all. Another thing I order the chocolate dessert now idk in what planet we thought it was okay to put caramel popcorn with chocolate cake and ice cream? Please tell me? If that was a way of making this fancy well.. you failed! I’m very disappointed. Like I said I expected something like a wow but there’s definitely no chefs here that can cook. I just can’t. There’s no words for how disappointed I was here! Please save your money go elsewhere.
J M — Google review
Service was lacking, our food was cold when we got it. Had to go to the bar to order our second beverages and there were plenty of servers. The juice from the steak was dried hard on the plate and meat was dried out. Clearly was sitting under the heat lamp way too long. I had 3 tiny pieces of chicken on each half of my chicken wrap. Disappointment for the price.
Laura L — Google review
Amazing views and awesome atmosphere! Food was pretty good too. Waiter could have been more attentive and more of a "people person" but wasn't horrible at his job.
Moe Y — Google review
We liked the look of both the inside and outdoor seating, although we ended up switching (outdoor) tables 'cuz ours had no umbrella and my hubby was literally sweating. Table service was very sweet but s l o w, and, honestly, she seemed tipsy to me. (Bar service was 10/10!!) My dinner was Outstanding, and the server got the chef to swap salmon for local walleye on my salad, which made my day! My hubby's steak was, sadly, more chewy than he'd like, but ok. Fried pickle (spears) are HUGE, so if you prefer the chips, you may want to reconsider.

The Fort Gratiot Lighthouse, built in 1829 at Fort Gratiot to protect shipping at Point Edward, is Michigan's oldest lighthouse. It served during the War of 1812 and remained operational until 1879. Visitors can tour the lighthouse, climbing its 94 iron stairs for panoramic views of Michigan's rivers and lakes from the catwalk.
We truly enjoyed visiting Michigan's oldest lighthouse. You can buy tickets to have a tour of the grounds and buildings and make the climb to the top of the lighthouse. My husband and I were married here 10 years ago and wanted to take it all in, again. The staff is amazing! The views are incredible! The park next store to the historic area is very family-friendly for picnicking and swimming at the beach. It also has a great playground and lots of trees for shade.

Really enjoyed our visit. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. The caretakers home was amazing. We visit a lot of historical homes and this was the first time I could touch things, pick them up and sit on furniture! So great to step back in time! The lighthouse itself was beautiful! Steps going up weren't difficult for me and the view at the top was spectacular! Really enjoyed our time at the top. Going down...that was a little more spooky than I expected, but totally doable.
Becky M — Google review
It was unexpected that I had a phenomenal private tour of the lighthouse by the Lighthouse Keeper. The keeper was personable, passionate about her work, friendly, and patience with all the questions I had. We started the tour with an explanation of the lightbulbs; usage, changes, etc. Then we talked about the different Lighthouse Keepers - their histories and experiences. We then visited different houses to see how life was to be a Lighthouse Keeper. I enjoyed the Lighthouse Keeper's house the best. I was able to touch things, see old appliances and got to see all the rooms in the house. Lastly, it was the tour of the lighthouse. I wasn't going to walk the narrow spiral staircase but the Keeper insisted that I can take my time walking (I use a cane to walk) up. When we reached the top, fog was rolling in. However, I still had beautiful views. I was able to walk around the top and the walk gave me a sense what life was like for the Lighthouse Keeper. This is an experience I won't forget to actually be at the top of the lighthouse.
Pamela L — Google review
The lighthouse is massive! It's taller than it appears in person. The inside was closed when we first arrived. We came back on the weekend and the inside was open for people to go inside for a $5 donation. It was a really hot day and there are a lot of steps and no air conditioning. I passed on going inside. I'm sure that it is a great experience for those that want to take the hike to the top. The beach below the lighthouse is awesome! We played in the water for hours and collected many pretty rocks.
Mosslie D — Google review
Absolutely a must do! Great tour guides. Tour was around 45 minutes and then you can roam around on your own. Nice gift shop !
Marie M — Google review
I recommend climbing the lighthouse. I am afraid if heights & clumbed the 94 steps to the top & stepped out into the landing. You get a beutiful view of Lake Huron, Blue Water Bridge & Canada. My husband even got me a necklace of the lighthouse in the gift shop for climbing it.
Denise W — Google review
We going the guided tour our guided was awesome and had a lot of great info. We loved it.
Amy O — Google review
We were in the area for a private event. The guide, Ian, had a lot of knowledge about the grounds and the area in general. We went through the lighthouse, home, and hospital, as well as a trip to the room with old lighthouse lamps and the gift shop. It was informative.

Nice small park with a great view of Canada. Didn't take the lighthouse tour. There was a blue trap down for a walkway, which was nice not having to walk in the sand.

Clean, nice park. We were there for Sandfest 2025. The parking was $20. I'd walk there next time. The little festival was nice.

Lots of playgrounds, water was perfect. Only down side is it's very rocky so watch your feet.
Cherish M — Google review
Sand was full of cigarette butts and small water bottle caps. Other than that beach was nice.
James L — Google review
The location in general is clean and beautiful. The beach is amazing. It's not very crowded and there are picnic tables here to spend time with family. I highly recommend coming here if you want peace and just time to have fun. Parking is not free ($5 for residents with proof of ID and $20 for nonresidents). There's free street parking available but it's challenging to get. You won't regret coming here. I actually prefer this beach than the others in Detroit.

Updated review 08/13/2024 Today's order shocked me. I drive from Bridgehampton Township/Deckerville to order at this store. The attached pictures are of what I ordered and what I ended up with. I have not had any issues. Food and service has always been great.

First time iv ever been disappointed in their pizzas. There was a strange un melted underlayment of mozzarella under the melted cheese. Altho the pizza was clearly cooked, it was almost as if they used a old batch of cheese. The taste was off as well. Almost a sour hint to it. I ate 2 slices and got pretty grossed out by the texture.
Mike L — Google review
Well, this was my first time trying this place and I can see it was really good. I was told I might not like it because I’m very picky when it comes to Pizza I’m not gonna say that this was the best pizza in the world, but it’s a little bit better than other chain restaurant pizzas that I’ve been to. I didn’t take any photos of it so I’m a little disappointed in myself. I would definitely eat here again. The service was great. The lady that was working. The Night Shift was very nice. I don’t know her name, but she’s doing a very good job here. I would definitely eat here again.

We had some issues on the app with my Venmo but used the same card (as connected to Venmo) and it worked fine… it did show a charge on my bank (not Venmo) and when I charged my bank card, the first charge disappeared… feel like it was on Venmo’s side… pizza was the bomb and the ladies and one man working were awesome! I didn’t get names I apologize…

Didn’t have a big order, but customer service was great and food was ready quickly. Can’t go wrong with the three cheese bread

"Ordered pizza tonight... or at least I tried to. Hungry Howie's app decided to ghost me, so I called the local store like a civilized human being. Except, instead of talking to someone down the street, I ended up on the phone with someone who’s probably chilling in Bangladesh. After 10 minutes of trying to explain that 'no, I don’t want extra cheese and confirming my address three times because I’m pretty sure my zip code doesn’t exist on their map, my order finally went through. Moral of the story: Hungry Howie's pizza app is on strike, and I just took a culinary journey around the world to get 2 pizza's and some breadsticks. Worth it? Ask me after the first bite." Update: pizza was good but minus 2 stars for using a call center.

Nestled in a charming neighborhood of Port Huron, MI, The Electric Coffee Co. is a delightful pet-friendly coffee shop that welcomes your furry friends inside. While they may not have an extensive dog menu, Fido can enjoy a special pup cup! This cozy spot offers an impressive array of beverages including freshly roasted organic coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and delectable pastries. The ambiance is simply enchanting with its old brick exterior adorned with vibrant murals and neon signs that create a unique aesthetic.
As a devoted coffee enthusiast I found my sanctuary at the Electric Coffee Co. Nestled conveniently near my home this cozy gem has become my daily ritual. This is more than just a coffee shop-it’s an experience. The baristas are like old friends with their genuine smiles and warm greetings. From the polished counters and gleaming coffee machines to the tranquil atmosphere and the art of seating - time just slows down. Ah, the coffee! Their blends rich, velvety brews transport me to coffee plantations halfway across the world. Also their gluten free pasties are divine. Fast service, affordable espresso, great baristas (Hi Karleigh), and a (Free!) Pac-man machine, it's all good. The parking situation is a little wonky, but other than that this is my preferred coffee spot in town.

I love going to different coffee shops on my travels, especially local coffee shops and cafes. This was a special find! I am not afraid to admit that I am a bit of a coffee snob. 😉 The espresso in my latte was perfect roast. I wish I was closer to try more items on the menu. Loved that this was once what looked like an old gas station/garage turned into coffee shop. Great work! Will be back if we are in the area.

This little coffee shop is so cute! Located off of Stone Street, in quiet neighborhood where you wouldn't expect a coffee shop. They have baked goods and a delicious coffee menu that they frequently change out their specialty drinks on to keep it fresh. Our cashier was very friendly and recommended I try their caramel apple chai latte which did not disappoint! I love the aesthetic of their building so much (old brick, with murals on the doors, neon signs, even in arcade game!) that my boyfriend and I actually used their dining room for fall photos and they turned out amazing! Highly recommend for someone looking for a great atmosphere. We will be back!

*****iced caramel apple chai is my favorite drink right now. The service is still amazing! ****I'm baaack. I can not say enough good things about this shop. I love the ever changing drink menu. The summer menu is fresh and fun. Today, I had the salt water taffy latte, iced (see photo). My daughter's got Boba and yummy donuts. If you haven't checked them out, what are you waiting for!? ***the Pinwheel latte this week is so good. Check it out! **alright folks, I'm back. Summer drinks are out, and the smores latte (I got iced) was sooo good! Can't wait to try the others! If you have not been in yet, you have to check it out! Take your drink to one of their tables and just look around. The decor is so cool and laid back. Staff is always friendly, and the drinks (and treats) are always good. *New favorite...peep latte! The carrot muffin is delicious!! I have been so happy to have Electric Coffee Co right by my kiddo's school. My favorite drink is the hot Snickerdoodle Latte! Chai latte is another one I would recommend. The muffins are amazing, especially the cinnamon one. Would definitely recommend checking them out. Make sure you take a picture by the selfie wall.

Fantastic coffee! We also tried the Berry and the Pistachio muffins, which were tasty. Very kind employees! Cozy space, which can also be rented as an event venue (would be great for a small rehearsal dinner/get together!). Nice small shopping area, and they stock Hario filters, which can maybe be used in the Chemex. To-go food is in plastic, which is kind of a bummer.
