It is a sight to see! With a raging river below and tons of boats, working their way up that river to escape into Lake Huron. There is a fantastic trail leading down the waterfront, lots going on with the park beside the trail and food trucks, etc.
Can be chaotic I'm backed up at times the view at the top of the bridges are wonderful when you're over the river p definitely not for the faint-hearted or the person that is scared of heights. What walking under the bridge at the boardwalk or fishing off the boardwalk under the bridge is great delight you can catch him anything along with walleye and salmon or see people scuba diving along the river
Unfortunately if we would have had kids there which we would enjoy the pool but couldn't because it was filthy the floors the bathrooms. The room stunk I don't know if it was the carpeting or what it was we complained and they brought us up a bottle of breeze to spray all over our room we've got pictures that will be included not impressed with this place at all, there was food inside the air conditioner that made it stink trying to cool our room down the faucet and the tub ran and ran and ran, fix holes in the walls, wallpaper coming apart just totally disappointed!!!!
Goergeous views, a park at every turn, beautiful walkways and places to enjoy a quick dip or dive! Phenomenal venues, food and never-ending possibilities for entertainment. Loved it!
This is always a great place to visit. You can grab a bite to eat from the few chip trucks that are available and sit and watch as large freightliners, small boats and sometimes large amounts of people in floaties traveling underneath the Twin Bridges.
Peace, Love, Connection ❤️ Just the way Kashmir is love of India and Pakistan, exactly same vibes at Blue Water Bridge - the center point - connecting 2 parts of a heart 🇨🇦 and 🇺🇸 May the world get the msg - let's celebrate life together, for we are all part of One Large Family 🌎🕊️🫶🙌💫💕
Beautiful atmosphere in and around the Blue Water Bridge! The people are smiley and friendly! The food vendors are awesome! The current in the river under the bridge is VERY STRONG, I personally wouldn’t want to swim here, but better swimmers than me do!
Blue water bridge, heading to Sarnia from Port Huron. This is my favorite border to travel of the two here in Michigan I’ve been to so far, ambassador and blue water. I think there’s typically less traffic, the border workers are a bit nicer and I think the bridge is a little nicer too. I love taking this way and heading up to London.

We truly enjoyed visiting Michigan's oldest lighthouse. You can buy tickets to have a tour of the grounds and buildings and make the climb to the top of the lighthouse. My husband and I were married here 10 years ago and wanted to take it all in, again. The staff is amazing! The views are incredible! The park next store to the historic area is very family-friendly for picnicking and swimming at the beach. It also has a great playground and lots of trees for shade.
Really enjoyed our visit. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. The caretakers home was amazing. We visit a lot of historical homes and this was the first time I could touch things, pick them up and sit on furniture! So great to step back in time! The lighthouse itself was beautiful! Steps going up weren't difficult for me and the view at the top was spectacular! Really enjoyed our time at the top. Going down...that was a little more spooky than I expected, but totally doable.
It was unexpected that I had a phenomenal private tour of the lighthouse by the Lighthouse Keeper. The keeper was personable, passionate about her work, friendly, and patience with all the questions I had. We started the tour with an explanation of the lightbulbs; usage, changes, etc. Then we talked about the different Lighthouse Keepers - their histories and experiences. We then visited different houses to see how life was to be a Lighthouse Keeper. I enjoyed the Lighthouse Keeper's house the best. I was able to touch things, see old appliances and got to see all the rooms in the house. Lastly, it was the tour of the lighthouse. I wasn't going to walk the narrow spiral staircase but the Keeper insisted that I can take my time walking (I use a cane to walk) up. When we reached the top, fog was rolling in. However, I still had beautiful views. I was able to walk around the top and the walk gave me a sense what life was like for the Lighthouse Keeper. This is an experience I won't forget to actually be at the top of the lighthouse.
The lighthouse is massive! It's taller than it appears in person. The inside was closed when we first arrived. We came back on the weekend and the inside was open for people to go inside for a $5 donation. It was a really hot day and there are a lot of steps and no air conditioning. I passed on going inside. I'm sure that it is a great experience for those that want to take the hike to the top. The beach below the lighthouse is awesome! We played in the water for hours and collected many pretty rocks.
Absolutely a must do! Great tour guides. Tour was around 45 minutes and then you can roam around on your own. Nice gift shop !
I recommend climbing the lighthouse. I am afraid if heights & clumbed the 94 steps to the top & stepped out into the landing. You get a beutiful view of Lake Huron, Blue Water Bridge & Canada. My husband even got me a necklace of the lighthouse in the gift shop for climbing it.
We going the guided tour our guided was awesome and had a lot of great info. We loved it.
We were in the area for a private event. The guide, Ian, had a lot of knowledge about the grounds and the area in general. We went through the lighthouse, home, and hospital, as well as a trip to the room with old lighthouse lamps and the gift shop. It was informative.

Very nice place to sit and watch ships on the St. Clair River. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating is available on the premises. Volunteers are knowledgeable about the ships and friendly to converse with. They will also make announcements with information on the ships passing by. Definitely worth a visit.
Such a unique place to visit. The artifacts inside found by scuba divers are interesting. The women inside are very informative. I love going there and just sitting along the side walk and watching the freighters go by, and hearing one of the ladies pop up on the audio system explaining all the details and information about the boats passing by. Plus they have farmers markets in the parking lot with all of great goodies. The boat tour is fun as well!!!
Vantage Point Farmers Market is a great spot to find local vendors on Saturday mornings. And keep your eyes open for a passing freighter!
This is a nice spot to visit and has a great view of St Clair River and the lake freighters going by. There is a lot of local history and Maritime displays of Great Lakes shipping and shipwrecks in the local area. The snack bar has good food and there are friendly volunteers who also share a lot of local history.
Its a hidden gem love this place, you can walk, take a bath if u bring you swimsuit in summer time and there is also a litte coffe shop so you enjoy the view of boats passing by,also outside there is a small food truck bring cash 😍😍😍
The maritime center is filled with information pertaining to the history of water travel along the Black River and the Port Huron bridge. Fortunate enough to be there during a farmer's market. They have paved river walk in park setting .
Very nice place if you are interested in freighter and boat history of the area. You also get stats on the freighters that are passing by.
What a great place to visit to learn about the ships which travel up and down the St Claire River.

This is the best place to take your kids or dogs for a walk! You have a Nice Kept up walkway to follow, Go through the tunnel and check out the artwork, Walk along the river to the little beach area where you can get your toes wet or your pet can jump in! Some wood carvings and nice big grassy area for groups or gatherings. Lots of wildlife and a few little ponds/ Marsh areas where you can always find frogs and turtles hanging around. You will also find benches along the way to have a seat and just enjoy the scenery!
This is partly under the Blue Water Bridge and across from Thomas Edison Depot Museum. Along the walk are several pieces of public art along with the statue of Thomas Edison. A great place to watch the freighters come through.
Best place to visit if you aren’t from the area. The only downside to the river walk is that Canada ruins the view with chemical valley over there. If you just focus on our side it’s peaceful place to walk right in downtown. You can walk the downtown strip and checkout all the stores. Then go directly to the riverwalk and it’s like an entirely different world. They have signs along the walk that teach the history of the land as well. Some info on the car ferry which was interesting as well as some info on it being Ancient Fishing/hunting grounds for the Native Americans! Highly recommend!
The river walk is a gravel parl lot, with free parking. A nice walk in the early evening. Not crowded. No security along the way. Best to go with friends. Lovely waterfront views with nature at the waterfront. Very relaxing.
Excellent Riverwalk spanning many miles. The deep blue watercolor is amazing. Cool sculptures and plaques explaining the history of the area. Don't miss the Edison museum. Well done, clean and informative staff well worth the 12 bucks. The Riverwalk goes all the way underneath the bridge so you can look up and get a cool perspective plus there's restaurants nearby if you get hungry.
We didn’t get to enjoy this like we planned. It was too hot to walk when we went . We didn’t walk the trail we just viewed what we could. It is a gravel parking lot, doesn’t seem to be the greatest area. There were two young people sitting in their car with music blaring with what smelled like pot coming from their car. Wish we could have walked around a bit
What a beautiful visit we had. We walked and rode our bikes to visit many spots in this area. Friendly people, amazing blue water and the weather was as blue as the water.
I'm so glad my daughter told us about the Blue Water River Walk. I love this place! Everything is so peaceful and beautiful. It's a great place to jog, ride bikes, or take pictures of while your walking or relaxing near the water.

Very interesting display of Edison memorabilia and interpretative displays. Our host was very knowledgeable and friendly. There are restrooms for museum visitors, based on the sign I thought there were none available at all. Make sure you go up in the old train car!
I was fortunate to have an unexpected private tour by the Keeper. The Keeper was charming, interesting, knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. I had no idea that Thomas Edison was an inventor of many things. He had about 1,000 patents. In grammar school, I learned he was the inventor of the incandescent light bulb but little did I know that Thomas Edison invented the telegraph, storage batteries, phonograph and even the motion picture projector. There's so much to see jam packed in this small hands-on/interactive museum. There are many interesting facts about his personal life and how some of these inventions/patents came about. It's a perfect opportunity for anyone to study history of inventions and the life of Thomas Edison. Signage is easy to read and understand. It's truly a gem
Great museum with many interesting interactive displays. Expert knowledgeable staff will answer your questions and add stories to make the tour even more interesting. Way better than I thought it would be. Well worth the $12 entry fee kids are less.
This was our 2nd museum stop of the day and what an interesting hands-on museum. And David the docent was so knowledgeable about Thomas Edison and provided some very interesting facts. A movie was showing called "The Young Tom Edison" starring Mickey Rooney. This museum is free, however they do ask for a donation which we gladly did. We enjoyed this museum very much and enjoyed being able to push buttons and turn handles. Taking us back in time. At the end of the tour, there is a small gift shop. We spoke to David again and told him we enjoyed him providing us so much more information about Thomas Edison.
Very nice little museum full of history with interactive learning stations. We enjoyed very much.
Drove 45 minutes….not posted is additional charges for entry once I got inside. Website shows one price of $12. Not accurate. Museum is very small. I love museums! I cannot believe the cost. Is this privately owned? Did not go inside. Sad. Plus…might as well say it….they closed an hour early last Saturday….I actually came by then as well. Open until 5:00pm on Saturday….but 3:45pm…and they were closed. Sad.
Do you know the man named Thomas Edison, is a LIGHTBULB lighting up above your brain? He lived here in the Port for years, come here to learn about it! Pro-Tip: If you plan on visiting at least 3 museums (lighthouse included) while here, consider getting the annual pass. It’s cheaper.
Visited from out of town and stopped by the Thomas Edison Museum Depot. We arrived around 4:30 p.m. and noticed a couple leaving with a store representative. When we approached, we were told that tours ended at 4 p.m., which was fine, but I checked the website and saw that the museum store was open until 5 p.m. I called from the car to inquire, only to be told, “The register is closed.” I explained that we were traveling from Georgia, hoping to purchase something, and was told, “Well, you can come in and look around if you like, but the register is closed.” While rules are rules, the tone and handling of the situation felt unwelcoming. It left me wondering if others have experienced similar treatment.

Loved the mall. Food court amazing, nice staff cleanest place ever. I've been to lots of places but this one gets me every time. The target amazing the staff in the starbucks were super nice when I dropped my drink, gave me a new one for free and helped clean it. The mall itself had good vibes.
Visited from Canada to go to Target which is attached. Mall is giving dead malls vibes. Lots of closed stores, and the ones that are open are really random. I loved the carousel in the food court though it’s so cute! Not much selection at the food court.
This is a clean mall with lots of free and not free games/ activities for kiddos of all ages. It's not too busy, which I liked. Some malls can be a little hectic to navigate with 3 kiddos and an eight month belly, but this mall is very chill. The employees at all the stores we visited were very nice!
There was not a lot left as far as shops in the mall, it was nice to see the caracell was still there.
Not much stores are open. Food court is open. Target is connected to the mall. Five below is next door as well. Kinda looks like a ghost town. They do have vendors events there as well.
Most stores have closed inside the mall. Very disappointed. Target, JCPenny and a sports store are the only large retailers left. One nice thing to see was the Vintage Carousel ride. $1 USD to ride.
The building was clean... But only a few stores were opened on time. Which was quite a disappointment because there are only a handful of stores available
Wow. This place used to be great fifteen years ago. What happened? 😲😳 Walking around in here now, it seems much like a trip down memory lane. However in this case, I think this might be part of the problem. An old Gen-X mall rat that used to haunt this place, can't help but feel critical with the current lack of direction that this place has in the here and now. At least the carousel still operates.
