The Fort Gratiot Lighthouse, built in 1829 at Fort Gratiot to protect shipping at Point Edward, is Michigan's oldest lighthouse. It served during the War of 1812 and remained operational until 1879. Visitors can tour the lighthouse, climbing its 94 iron stairs for panoramic views of Michigan's rivers and lakes from the catwalk.
We truly enjoyed visiting Michigan's oldest lighthouse. You can buy tickets to have a tour of the grounds and buildings and make the climb to the top of the lighthouse. My husband and I were married here 10 years ago and wanted to take it all in, again. The staff is amazing! The views are incredible! The park next store to the historic area is very family-friendly for picnicking and swimming at the beach. It also has a great playground and lots of trees for shade.

Really enjoyed our visit. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. The caretakers home was amazing. We visit a lot of historical homes and this was the first time I could touch things, pick them up and sit on furniture! So great to step back in time! The lighthouse itself was beautiful! Steps going up weren't difficult for me and the view at the top was spectacular! Really enjoyed our time at the top. Going down...that was a little more spooky than I expected, but totally doable.
Becky M — Google review
It was unexpected that I had a phenomenal private tour of the lighthouse by the Lighthouse Keeper. The keeper was personable, passionate about her work, friendly, and patience with all the questions I had. We started the tour with an explanation of the lightbulbs; usage, changes, etc. Then we talked about the different Lighthouse Keepers - their histories and experiences. We then visited different houses to see how life was to be a Lighthouse Keeper. I enjoyed the Lighthouse Keeper's house the best. I was able to touch things, see old appliances and got to see all the rooms in the house. Lastly, it was the tour of the lighthouse. I wasn't going to walk the narrow spiral staircase but the Keeper insisted that I can take my time walking (I use a cane to walk) up. When we reached the top, fog was rolling in. However, I still had beautiful views. I was able to walk around the top and the walk gave me a sense what life was like for the Lighthouse Keeper. This is an experience I won't forget to actually be at the top of the lighthouse.
Pamela L — Google review
The lighthouse is massive! It's taller than it appears in person. The inside was closed when we first arrived. We came back on the weekend and the inside was open for people to go inside for a $5 donation. It was a really hot day and there are a lot of steps and no air conditioning. I passed on going inside. I'm sure that it is a great experience for those that want to take the hike to the top. The beach below the lighthouse is awesome! We played in the water for hours and collected many pretty rocks.
Mosslie D — Google review
Absolutely a must do! Great tour guides. Tour was around 45 minutes and then you can roam around on your own. Nice gift shop !
Marie M — Google review
I recommend climbing the lighthouse. I am afraid if heights & clumbed the 94 steps to the top & stepped out into the landing. You get a beutiful view of Lake Huron, Blue Water Bridge & Canada. My husband even got me a necklace of the lighthouse in the gift shop for climbing it.
Denise W — Google review
We going the guided tour our guided was awesome and had a lot of great info. We loved it.
Amy O — Google review
We were in the area for a private event. The guide, Ian, had a lot of knowledge about the grounds and the area in general. We went through the lighthouse, home, and hospital, as well as a trip to the room with old lighthouse lamps and the gift shop. It was informative.

The Blue Water River Walk is a scenic mile-long trail along the St. Clair River in Port Huron. It offers various attractions such as a converted ferry dock, fishing pier, public art installations, and an outdoor classroom space. Visitors can enjoy beautiful views of the river and learn about the area while taking a leisurely stroll with their families. The walk features sculptures, scenic overlooks with benches, pavilions, and pagoda areas for relaxation.
This is the best place to take your kids or dogs for a walk! You have a Nice Kept up walkway to follow, Go through the tunnel and check out the artwork, Walk along the river to the little beach area where you can get your toes wet or your pet can jump in! Some wood carvings and nice big grassy area for groups or gatherings. Lots of wildlife and a few little ponds/ Marsh areas where you can always find frogs and turtles hanging around. You will also find benches along the way to have a seat and just enjoy the scenery!
Michelle G — Google review
This is partly under the Blue Water Bridge and across from Thomas Edison Depot Museum. Along the walk are several pieces of public art along with the statue of Thomas Edison. A great place to watch the freighters come through.
BT — Google review
Best place to visit if you aren’t from the area. The only downside to the river walk is that Canada ruins the view with chemical valley over there. If you just focus on our side it’s peaceful place to walk right in downtown. You can walk the downtown strip and checkout all the stores. Then go directly to the riverwalk and it’s like an entirely different world. They have signs along the walk that teach the history of the land as well. Some info on the car ferry which was interesting as well as some info on it being Ancient Fishing/hunting grounds for the Native Americans! Highly recommend!
Brian — Google review
The river walk is a gravel parl lot, with free parking. A nice walk in the early evening. Not crowded. No security along the way. Best to go with friends. Lovely waterfront views with nature at the waterfront. Very relaxing.
C W — Google review
Excellent Riverwalk spanning many miles. The deep blue watercolor is amazing. Cool sculptures and plaques explaining the history of the area. Don't miss the Edison museum. Well done, clean and informative staff well worth the 12 bucks. The Riverwalk goes all the way underneath the bridge so you can look up and get a cool perspective plus there's restaurants nearby if you get hungry.
Hite W — Google review
We didn’t get to enjoy this like we planned. It was too hot to walk when we went . We didn’t walk the trail we just viewed what we could. It is a gravel parking lot, doesn’t seem to be the greatest area. There were two young people sitting in their car with music blaring with what smelled like pot coming from their car. Wish we could have walked around a bit

What a beautiful visit we had. We walked and rode our bikes to visit many spots in this area. Friendly people, amazing blue water and the weather was as blue as the water.

I'm so glad my daughter told us about the Blue Water River Walk. I love this place! Everything is so peaceful and beautiful. It's a great place to jog, ride bikes, or take pictures of while your walking or relaxing near the water.

Located in the historic Fort Gratiot train depot, the Thomas Edison Depot Museum offers an immersive experience into the life and inventions of the renowned inventor. Visitors can explore interactive exhibits and re-created period environments, gaining insight into Thomas Edison's work during his time as a news reporter from 1859 to 1863. The museum provides a unique opportunity to learn about one of history's greatest inventors in a hands-on and engaging way.
Very interesting display of Edison memorabilia and interpretative displays. Our host was very knowledgeable and friendly. There are restrooms for museum visitors, based on the sign I thought there were none available at all. Make sure you go up in the old train car!
Susan B — Google review
I was fortunate to have an unexpected private tour by the Keeper. The Keeper was charming, interesting, knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. I had no idea that Thomas Edison was an inventor of many things. He had about 1,000 patents. In grammar school, I learned he was the inventor of the incandescent light bulb but little did I know that Thomas Edison invented the telegraph, storage batteries, phonograph and even the motion picture projector. There's so much to see jam packed in this small hands-on/interactive museum. There are many interesting facts about his personal life and how some of these inventions/patents came about. It's a perfect opportunity for anyone to study history of inventions and the life of Thomas Edison. Signage is easy to read and understand. It's truly a gem
Pamela L — Google review
Great museum with many interesting interactive displays. Expert knowledgeable staff will answer your questions and add stories to make the tour even more interesting. Way better than I thought it would be. Well worth the $12 entry fee kids are less.
Hite W — Google review
This was our 2nd museum stop of the day and what an interesting hands-on museum. And David the docent was so knowledgeable about Thomas Edison and provided some very interesting facts. A movie was showing called "The Young Tom Edison" starring Mickey Rooney. This museum is free, however they do ask for a donation which we gladly did. We enjoyed this museum very much and enjoyed being able to push buttons and turn handles. Taking us back in time. At the end of the tour, there is a small gift shop. We spoke to David again and told him we enjoyed him providing us so much more information about Thomas Edison.
BT — Google review
Very nice little museum full of history with interactive learning stations. We enjoyed very much.
Michelle G — Google review
Drove 45 minutes….not posted is additional charges for entry once I got inside. Website shows one price of $12. Not accurate. Museum is very small. I love museums! I cannot believe the cost. Is this privately owned? Did not go inside. Sad. Plus…might as well say it….they closed an hour early last Saturday….I actually came by then as well. Open until 5:00pm on Saturday….but 3:45pm…and they were closed. Sad.
Lise S — Google review
Do you know the man named Thomas Edison, is a LIGHTBULB lighting up above your brain? He lived here in the Port for years, come here to learn about it! Pro-Tip: If you plan on visiting at least 3 museums (lighthouse included) while here, consider getting the annual pass. It’s cheaper.
Bilbo S — Google review
Visited from out of town and stopped by the Thomas Edison Museum Depot. We arrived around 4:30 p.m. and noticed a couple leaving with a store representative. When we approached, we were told that tours ended at 4 p.m., which was fine, but I checked the website and saw that the museum store was open until 5 p.m. I called from the car to inquire, only to be told, “The register is closed.” I explained that we were traveling from Georgia, hoping to purchase something, and was told, “Well, you can come in and look around if you like, but the register is closed.” While rules are rules, the tone and handling of the situation felt unwelcoming. It left me wondering if others have experienced similar treatment.

The Port Huron Museum is a collection of four museum sites, each dedicated to showcasing the rich history of the region. Visitors can explore Michigan's oldest lighthouse, the Huron Lightship, the Thomas Edison Depot, and the Carnegie Center. In 2024, admission to these museums is free, with only a small fee for climbing the lighthouse.
What a hidden gem for Port Huron. The museum downtown is very well done. The special Barbie exhibit and pedal cars were fun and interesting too! Enjoyed the local maritime history and artifacts too. Really all done professionally. Staff was pleasant also. Highly recommend! Who knew there was a chair that Lincoln used!!

Grest spot, have stopped multiple times with our growing family and has been different each and every visit. Today's was great, the kids saw loads of model vessels and enjoyed looking at thier names. The nature zone was worth the extra fee for our young ones, they are just a little too small to kayak so the VR version was great. The highlight of thier day was driving the freighter simulator on the top floor. Staff was great and beyond kind. A+ and we'll worth the stop for families and history or educational seekers.
Jarrod A — Google review
Love spending time at the museum! They change up the displays every now and then so there is always something new to see.
Kelly H — Google review
That was a fun experience. Lots of changes since I was there last, but they still have the pilot house exhibit on the top floor, just as I remember it over thirty years ago.
Michael H — Google review
We love the museum and adventure city! It's a nice fun place to bring my toddler while how big sisters are in school. Staff is so nice and helpful if you have any questions. The gentleman at the check-in desk is so kind. I recommend taking your kiddos to check it out!
Erica J — Google review
The museum and parking are free. At the moment it is a main exhibition and an exhibition of painting / photography, musical instruments and a playground where children can have fun. Access to the playground is paid $ 5 but it's worth it. We barely managed to get our children out of there. Have fun.
Raul O — Google review
The museum is good but they had a Tea and Talk event with Barb's Tead service. It cost over $45. It said it was from 1:00-3:00 but the actual presentation was only 50 minutes. The presentation. Was just cell phone pictures on a small projector. I thought it was over priced for what it was.
Colleen T — Google review
A fun experience for the kids and a neat place to learn a little bit about the history of Port Huron. The museum is a little on the small side, but the kids really enjoyed the interactive items placed throughout the museum including the pully system, bells, and puzzles. An additional bonus was that our admission was free due to the grant given to the city of Port Huron for 2022. For an additional fee, they did have an option to add on Discovery City which is basically a play place for the kids, but we didn't want to wait for the next admission so we opted out.

Sights & Landmarks
The Blue Water Bridge is a stunning architectural marvel that connects Sarnia to the United States, offering breathtaking views of the sky-blue water and beautiful waterfront. This border community provides easy access to major markets in both Canada and the U.S., making it an ideal destination for travelers. The bridge itself may not be as visually striking as others, but its functionality and efficiency make it a popular choice for crossing between the two countries.
It is a sight to see! With a raging river below and tons of boats, working their way up that river to escape into Lake Huron. There is a fantastic trail leading down the waterfront, lots going on with the park beside the trail and food trucks, etc.
Shane H — Google review
Can be chaotic I'm backed up at times the view at the top of the bridges are wonderful when you're over the river p definitely not for the faint-hearted or the person that is scared of heights. What walking under the bridge at the boardwalk or fishing off the boardwalk under the bridge is great delight you can catch him anything along with walleye and salmon or see people scuba diving along the river
Christy W — Google review
Unfortunately if we would have had kids there which we would enjoy the pool but couldn't because it was filthy the floors the bathrooms. The room stunk I don't know if it was the carpeting or what it was we complained and they brought us up a bottle of breeze to spray all over our room we've got pictures that will be included not impressed with this place at all, there was food inside the air conditioner that made it stink trying to cool our room down the faucet and the tub ran and ran and ran, fix holes in the walls, wallpaper coming apart just totally disappointed!!!!
Russell S — Google review
Goergeous views, a park at every turn, beautiful walkways and places to enjoy a quick dip or dive! Phenomenal venues, food and never-ending possibilities for entertainment. Loved it!
Catherine S — Google review
This is always a great place to visit. You can grab a bite to eat from the few chip trucks that are available and sit and watch as large freightliners, small boats and sometimes large amounts of people in floaties traveling underneath the Twin Bridges.

Beautiful atmosphere in and around the Blue Water Bridge! The people are smiley and friendly! The food vendors are awesome! The current in the river under the bridge is VERY STRONG, I personally wouldn’t want to swim here, but better swimmers than me do!

Blue water bridge, heading to Sarnia from Port Huron. This is my favorite border to travel of the two here in Michigan I’ve been to so far, ambassador and blue water. I think there’s typically less traffic, the border workers are a bit nicer and I think the bridge is a little nicer too. I love taking this way and heading up to London.

Knowlton's Ice Museum of North America is a fascinating establishment dedicated to the historical aspects of local ice harvesting. This unique museum provides interactive activities and showcases numerous artifacts related to the 19th and early 20th-century techniques of making, gathering, and utilizing ice before the invention of refrigeration. Visitors can explore videos, industry tools, an extensive collection of early kitchen appliances, as well as a small selection of cars and wagons.
I was fascinated by the place. I never knew it existed, but happened to run across the place. I am very glad I went in. I really learned a lot about the history of the ice business.
Bryan M — Google review
What a great experience. You really do step back in time in this extensive collection of rare artifacts. To now understand that ice harvesting was such a large industry in the United States. My family lives in Florida and we were vacationing with my son in his town of Port Huron this summer. Hidden gem in itself. The curator Vickie opened the museum special for us because she was there doing some work and knew this was a must see before we left. Thanks you so much Vickie! When we go to our freezer now to make drinks, we ask if anyone wants "artificial Ice". if you have been to the Ice Museum you know what this means. Please go check this rare piece of local and national history out. What an accomplishment of the founder Mr. Knowlton, his family, friends and neighbors.
Edward K — Google review
The Spy Exhibit was a blast. We all had fun solving the codes and finding clues.
Maria W — Google review
Pretty cool museum that goes into 1800s-early 1900s way of making, gathering, and using ice (or in other words how people kept things cooled and preserved before refrigeration). Includes a video, tools of the industry, a large collection of early kitchen appliances, a small collection of cars and wagons (including a Michigan license plate from every year) , and a room that is filled with dolls.. Not to bad for 5 bucks. only question i had was.. whats the story with the Austin Powers cutout
James B — Google review
An ice museum, really? My bet is that some people looking for activities in Port Huron might just skip this museum based on the name, especially on a sunny summer weekend. Well, I ask you reconsider! This gem of a private museum is not just on ice, but the interesting, sometimes comical, many times deadly, history of ice harvesting in the Great Lakes. Yes, before you could just walk to your refrigerator for a chill drink, people had to order ice for delivery. This museum helps preserve the area's rich history of ice harvesting and delivery. The owner is a bit of an expert-the family owns one of the largest ice manufactures in the region! So give the museum a try, even if just early on a Saturday before you hit the beach or any of the other great attractions in Port Huron.
Robert I — Google review
Educational and fun look at the past. I never realized how ice was produced and harvested before refrigeration. Really enjoyed our visit and seeing all the exhibits.
Joseph M — Google review
Very cool, out of the ordinary museum experience. Tons of items and pictures that tell a great story of the ice industry, that many of our young people probably aren't even aware of.
Lindsay S — Google review
Get off the highway and visit this precocious museum of ice history. Introduce your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews to where household and commercial refrigeration started. Learn how Ice cubes for beverages were made. A "cool" visit.

Embark on the Huron Lady II Cruise for a 1.5-hour narrated journey along the St. Clair River into Lake Huron, passing under the iconic Blue Water Bridge. Relax and take in scenic views, from the Bluewater Bridges to Ft., while learning about the area's history and landmarks. The cruise offers food and drinks for purchase, with opportunities to roam around during the trip.
This was our first time on The Huron Lady II but it will definitely not be the only one. It’s hard to pick what one thing was the best part of this cruise. Starting with the welcome from the entire crew as you board the ship then you find a seat before you are served a wonderful meal. We moved to the top deck after eating our meal and were served strawberry shortcake. The whole ship is spotlessly clean. It was very fun seeing the sights of Michigan and Canada from a different view being on the water. Fun experience!
Dianne H — Google review
We went for the twilight River boat cruise with the meal. We had tacos and chips and salad, and the tacos were excellent. The staff and the restaurant was very good and very pleasant and attentive and the boat staff was very nice as well. It was a beautiful trip I’m from here so but I took my new girlfriend who isn’t and she just loved it. I loved it too. I always like to be out on Lake Huron in the St. Clair River so I give it a five I give it a 8 star out of 10 I’m the negative side even though the tacos from excellent and very yummy. I was expecting a little bit something different for dinner like maybe some sort of roast beef or chicken or something but that’s just me.

I contemplated whether to add this to my weekend camping trip itinerary just due to timing, weather, and if it would be worth the expense etc. But I am SO glad I did! I was able to keep track of the weather forecast if it would even be a good day and decided on a whim to book the night before. Very easy to book, pay and find where to go, great FAQ page and signs for where to go at the boardwalk. Very educational tour combined with scenic! When first finding out there were cruises, I expected the duration would be like 30 min-1 hr but when I saw online it was 90 min, that made it even more worth it to buy. Captain and staff seemed great and efficient, friendly and like he enjoys his job.
Janna C — Google review
The boat ride was wonderful ! We were out on the water for around 90 minutes or so. We went past the Blue Water Bridge. Now I know why it is called that. That water is very blue. You can see right through it !

I got the idea to go from under the radar Michigan (PBS). Had a great weather day, perfect for a scenic. River tour, everyone on board was very nice. I definitely recommend it. Especially for those visiting Michigan.

The crew was very nice and informative. The Captain greeted us and made sure we were taken care of. The Huron Lady II was clean and well maintained we felt safe and in good hands the whole trip. My disability was accommodated as much as they could. The snack bar had plenty to choose from and the picture that was taken was beautiful we ordered one for us and for our daughter. All together I would do it again.

this was me and my hubbys first time doing a cruise, and my lord. can i compliment it enough?! the ride itself was relaxing and very knowledgeable, and the staff was amazing. we didn’t purchase anything during the cruise (mainly for my hubbys fear of going overboard😂), but this was an absolute 10/10 experience. next time we’re in port huron we’re definitely going again!

First time cruisers here...enjoyed our boat ride very much, cocktails on board were nice and enjoyable too. Dinner at the Blue Crab were superb, from beginning to end. Service was very professional and friendly. Food was again a 5 in our opinion. Salmon stuffed with crab stuffing, delicious mashed potatoes and veg. 🥦 Turtle cheesecake was the best I have ever had. Made there or brought in it was devoured. We'll be back next year for sure. TY

The Huron Lightship Museum, a retired floating lighthouse that operated until 1970, is now open to the public for seasonal tours. Moored in Pine Grove Park along the St. Clair River in Port Huron, Michigan, this historic vessel offers visitors a unique glimpse into maritime history. The museum showcases exhibits and artifacts that depict life aboard the lightship and its role in guiding ships through the Great Lakes.
This was our 3rd museum of the day and an excellent self tour. Another free entry, but donations were welcomed. We knew nothing about floating lighthouses and touring the ship was very educational on the ship and how the crew lived while working. As we entered the ship, it was a very narrow passageway. After we toured the interior, we ventured down the ladder to the engine room. Very tight in the engine room. This was a nice self tour of a historical ship and the crew.

It was really nice visiting the Huron light ship although the tour was closed on the day we went we still enjoyed the water the scenery and taking fun photos

One of the workers had heard my son talking about a photo on the wall that looked like the Titanic, and he came over to explain the photo to us. He was knowledgeable and very interested in the topic to help explain what we were looking at.

Very interesting place. I had never known that there was such a thing as a lightship. Reasonably priced and you can go on a guided tour.
Dawn L — Google review
Great, quick museum ship visit! Staff were friendly and not pushy. The information throughout the ship is excellent. For it's size, you get a lot of information per square foot! In other words, if you're visiting the area for the first time, visit this ship for the most local/lake shipping/lightship historical information per step you take. It's not a long tour at all, especially if you're used to Battleship and Carrier museum ships. *Small kids (<pre-school size) may have difficulty traversing decks*

This free museum, right on the water, is a great place to stop for the history buff, fans of all things maritime, or those interested in the Great Lakes. Both the engine room and deck are open to the public, and the ship includes many exhibits.

Birchwood Mall, established in 1991, is a popular shopping destination drawing customers from both the United States and Canadian sides of the St. Clair River. Initially designed for five anchor tenants, it currently houses JCPenney and Target along with over 100 other diverse retail outlets. Despite some past challenges, recent reports indicate a resurgence in the mall's popularity with an increasing number of stores opening up.
Loved the mall. Food court amazing, nice staff cleanest place ever. I've been to lots of places but this one gets me every time. The target amazing the staff in the starbucks were super nice when I dropped my drink, gave me a new one for free and helped clean it. The mall itself had good vibes.
Adam J — Google review
Visited from Canada to go to Target which is attached. Mall is giving dead malls vibes. Lots of closed stores, and the ones that are open are really random. I loved the carousel in the food court though it’s so cute! Not much selection at the food court.
K S — Google review
This is a clean mall with lots of free and not free games/ activities for kiddos of all ages. It's not too busy, which I liked. Some malls can be a little hectic to navigate with 3 kiddos and an eight month belly, but this mall is very chill. The employees at all the stores we visited were very nice!
Gracie B — Google review
There was not a lot left as far as shops in the mall, it was nice to see the caracell was still there.
Robin C — Google review
Not much stores are open. Food court is open. Target is connected to the mall. Five below is next door as well. Kinda looks like a ghost town. They do have vendors events there as well.
Pa H — Google review
Most stores have closed inside the mall. Very disappointed. Target, JCPenny and a sports store are the only large retailers left. One nice thing to see was the Vintage Carousel ride. $1 USD to ride.
Susie S — Google review
The building was clean... But only a few stores were opened on time. Which was quite a disappointment because there are only a handful of stores available

Wow. This place used to be great fifteen years ago. What happened? 😲😳 Walking around in here now, it seems much like a trip down memory lane. However in this case, I think this might be part of the problem. An old Gen-X mall rat that used to haunt this place, can't help but feel critical with the current lack of direction that this place has in the here and now. At least the carousel still operates.

Pine Grove Park is a centrally located park in Port Huron, offering free paved parking and boardwalk paths along the St. Clair River. It provides perfect parking for the Huron Lightship Museum and offers great views of the Blue Water Bridge and passing freighters. The park also has porta johns, bathrooms, playgrounds for kids, a ball field, and even a stand for warmer weather.
After visiting Thomas Edison's Depot Museum, we headed over to Pine Grove Park and the Huron Lightship. We arrived at the park and found a parking space and the first thing we noticed was the view.. WOW ! Very nice. When we got out of our vehicle directly in front of us was a chess table. Then there was the Huron Lightship and looking beyond was the Blue Water Bridge. Then there was this huge boulder 🪨 to our left, so we stopped there to read the plaque. The plaque was to honor Thomas Edison's childhood in the area. As we headed towards the Huron Lightship, a lady sitting at a picnic table was feeding a seagull. And last was the unique stairs with beautiful bright flowers as you headed down to the Lightship.

Lighthouse Beach, situated next to the lighthouse in Port Huron, Michigan, is a pristine and picturesque getaway. The beach features a clean and accessible environment with a special path for wheelchair users and restrooms available with a summer pass. The golden sands and clear waters make it an ideal spot for swimming and snorkeling. The majestic lighthouse adds to the charm of this serene coastal destination.
Cute beach! Nicely spruced up with a beautiful lakefront view of Canada and the surrounding area. Great viewing area for the bridge and lighthouse!
Adam S — Google review
Picture doesn’t do it justice but the water is actually really pretty, however the water is very very chubby, lots of big waves, it’s probably due to the fact that there’s so many boats that are going by and jet skis it’s creating a lot of waves and kinda hard to swim out here, the scenery is beautiful though if you just wanna come and sit on the beach and kinda dip your toes in a little bit then it’s perfect but other than that it’s kind of strong waves here. It is not dog friendly so you cannot bring your dog, there’s a couple picnic tables up under the trees and a couple grills, they do have a regular restroom by the beach that’s actually very clean
Heather — Google review
I cannot say enough good things about this beach. It is my happy place. Clean, great views. Wicked current. Absolutely spectacular location to relax and enjoy your summer, fall & spring honestly

I saw this lighthouse on a map and wanted to see it. Plus, you can to stand on the beach and see Canada. I went over to Canada and stood on their beach to look back at America.
Rain L — Google review
Lighthouse Beach is a true gem, offering a blend of natural beauty and serene atmosphere that makes it a perfect getaway. Nestled along the coast, this beach is dominated by the majestic lighthouse that stands tall, giving the place its name and adding a picturesque charm to the scenery. The beach itself is pristine, with soft, golden sands that are perfect for lounging. The clear, azure waters are inviting, making it an excellent spot for swimming and snorkeling. There's a gentle slope into the ocean, making it safe for families with children to enjoy the waves. One of the standout features of Lighthouse Beach is its relatively uncrowded nature. It's not one of those overly commercialized spots; instead, it retains a peaceful, almost secluded feel. This makes it an ideal place for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You can easily find a quiet spot to set up for the day, whether you prefer to relax with a good book or take a leisurely stroll along the shore. The area surrounding the beach is well-maintained, with plenty of facilities like clean restrooms and outdoor showers. There are a few quaint cafes and snack shacks nearby, offering delicious local fare and refreshing drinks. The lighthouse itself is open to visitors, and the climb to the top rewards you with stunning panoramic views of the coastline and the vast ocean beyond. In the evenings, the beach takes on a magical quality. The sunset views are nothing short of spectacular, with the sky painted in hues of orange, pink, and purple, reflecting off the water. It's a perfect spot for a romantic walk or simply to sit and take in the beauty of nature. Overall, Lighthouse Beach offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, tranquility, and convenience. Whether you're looking to relax, explore, or simply enjoy a beautiful beach day, this place has something to offer for everyone. Highly recommended for anyone in search of a little slice of paradise.

Small beach with lots of rocks of all kinds. Draws rock hunters. Sits at the mouth of the river opening up to lake Huron. It is the closest you will get to watching the huge freighters transition from the lake to the river. Many sailboats as well coming out of Canada in the evenings and weekends. There are real bathrooms and port-a-potties, but the real ones seem to have limited hours. It is a pay for parking when they have someeone manning the booth, presumably when the bathrooms are open. There is street parking as well which is free since the lot is small. A decent play area is there for the kids and there are trees at the back of the beach for those that want to sit in The shade. Generally this park seems less crowded than others up the coast. The Port Huron River Walk is less than a mile away for those that want to exercise as well. All this at the base of the lighthouse.

We absolutely love Freighters! Watching the boats and ships pass by while dining is such a unique and relaxing experience. The scenery is beautiful, the food is always delicious, and the atmosphere can’t be beat. Be sure to reserve a table by the window for the best views—and when it comes to dessert, do yourself a favor and try one of each. They’re all fantastic!

Great view, great food, great service—this place really has it all. We had an amazing experience from start to finish, and it’s one of those spots you’ll want to return to every time you're in the area. The view alone is worth the visit. We sat by the window with a stunning look at the bridge to Canada and got to watch a few freighters pass by—a peaceful, almost cinematic backdrop that added so much to the meal. If you’re a fan of waterfront dining, this one’s hard to beat. The food was just as impressive. Everything was cooked to perfection, well-portioned, and full of flavor. It’s clear the kitchen takes pride in both presentation and taste. We tried a couple of different dishes and both were spot-on. Fresh ingredients, thoughtful pairings, and nothing felt rushed. Service was excellent—friendly, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. Our server made sure we had everything we needed and even pointed out the best times to catch the ships moving through. This is the kind of place you remember not just for the meal, but for the whole experience. Whether you're dining with family, friends, or just enjoying a peaceful dinner for two, this place is an absolute gem.

Our last visit there was the absolute best so far. Ordered the deep fried pickles and the ahi tuna appetizer. The pickles were fantastic- served with a perfect homemade tasting ranch sauce and a delicious spicy chili sauce- it has some heat which perfectly compliments the zingy pickle. The ahi tuna appetizer was good- the won ton “cups” were a little too crisp for my taste. The entrees wowed! The salmon served on wild rice with mushrooms and pea pods was perfectly cooked and the salmon was not fishy tasting and maybe the best I’ve had to date. The NY was perfectly cooked and a quality steak. Service was fantastic! Our server was polite, she answered all my questions happily and we couldn’t have asked for more. Can’t wait to go back!

Service was great, food was great, and it was clean. We made reservations to sit next to a window so we could watch the boats pass by. I ordered fish and chips and my children ordered chicken strips with waffle fries and butter noodles with waffle fries and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was all very delicious. They also allow dogs to sit on the patio, dogs inside when there patio is closed as long as they’re on a leash. Not that we brought our dog. The hostess told us this. We will definitely be back when we’re in town. Thank you for the great service.
Tracey P — Google review
Well how do I start.. I wouldn’t come back unless I was drinking .. I had high hopes for this place. I’d like to say that the atmosphere was beautiful because of the scenery. Now the service was not good at all our server was musty and looked like he hadn’t showered in a few days. I paid for a burger that cost me $20 bucks and idc how much food is as long as it’s good but when I took my first bite it tasted like it was dipped in straight salt. It literally was just meat and cheese and lettuce tomato and pickles no mayo or mustard or even ketchup. He’ll at this point I should have gotten up and just said I was going to McDonald’s. At that point I would have taken something. The patty looked like it came out of a frozen since it was nicely shaped into a square round shape. Yes never again…! The las thing was we ordered the fish tacos that came with chips and “salsa” well that definitely was not “salsa” it tasted like straight tomato sauce. I’m not sure how this place gets such amazing reviews because the food just is not good at all. Another thing I order the chocolate dessert now idk in what planet we thought it was okay to put caramel popcorn with chocolate cake and ice cream? Please tell me? If that was a way of making this fancy well.. you failed! I’m very disappointed. Like I said I expected something like a wow but there’s definitely no chefs here that can cook. I just can’t. There’s no words for how disappointed I was here! Please save your money go elsewhere.
J M — Google review
Service was lacking, our food was cold when we got it. Had to go to the bar to order our second beverages and there were plenty of servers. The juice from the steak was dried hard on the plate and meat was dried out. Clearly was sitting under the heat lamp way too long. I had 3 tiny pieces of chicken on each half of my chicken wrap. Disappointment for the price.

Amazing views and awesome atmosphere! Food was pretty good too. Waiter could have been more attentive and more of a "people person" but wasn't horrible at his job.
Moe Y — Google review
We liked the look of both the inside and outdoor seating, although we ended up switching (outdoor) tables 'cuz ours had no umbrella and my hubby was literally sweating. Table service was very sweet but s l o w, and, honestly, she seemed tipsy to me. (Bar service was 10/10!!) My dinner was Outstanding, and the server got the chef to swap salmon for local walleye on my salad, which made my day! My hubby's steak was, sadly, more chewy than he'd like, but ok. Fried pickle (spears) are HUGE, so if you prefer the chips, you may want to reconsider.

Raven Café is a charming book-lined cafe and bar that offers a diverse menu of light fare, along with live music and classic movie screenings. Situated in a historic downtown building, the ambiance is often likened to a mix of Hogwarts and Cheers. The pet-friendly sidewalk seating adds to its appeal, with four outdoor tables available for patrons accompanied by their furry friends.
I have been wanting to come here for years, and we finally got the chance. The atmosphere is amazing and I love it!! The food is really good, and I loved my drink. The service was good, as well, but we arrived at a very busy time. We got one of the last free tables. Someone other than our waiter took our orders for food, and I’m guessing that she assumed that he had already gotten our drinks order. As a result, we didn’t get our drinks until we were almost done eating. It was worth it, though. I highly recommend this place!

This place is amazing. I hate coffee, especially espresso, but their caramel hazelnut latte was excellent. My partner and I had sandwiches and soups and I took a turtle pecan brownie to go. The food was all delicious and so filling the waitstaff was so attentive helpful and polite. Any questions I had they answered, they brought the food, refilled the waters, gave us boxes, and did it so promptly, even with all the people they had to attend to. They were all so patient and sweet. We drove about an hour to get to Port Huron from our area, it was completely worth it for this place alone, I only left a few hours ago and I already miss the wonderful vibe this place has. Thank you to all the people who work here! Waitstaff, cooks, baristas, everyone was perfect!

This place is so great! It was a wonderful place to stop to grab a bite to eat. Everywhere you look there is something that catches your eye. They have a big and diverse menu and many options to choose from. We didn’t get any drinks while we were here but should have. We split a Ruben, which was good but I wasn’t a huge fan of the rye bread it was served on. Overall it was a good sandwich. We started with the spinach dip and it was good. I recommend getting it with the pita over the chips. Soups were also very delicious. I had French onion and it was exactly what one would expect. The Baja Chicken Enchilada reminded me of the tortilla soup from Max and Erma’s. It was fantastic. They should really service it with strips of tortilla on top.

The atmosphere is lively yet cozy—perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet coffee alone. The lemon cake was outstanding—light, perfectly balanced, and full of flavor. It’s clear they put real care into their pastries. The coffee selection is equally impressive, offering a variety that can satisfy both casual drinkers and true coffee enthusiasts. The staff deserves a special mention—they’re upbeat, engaging, and make the entire visit even more enjoyable. Their energy really adds to the vibe of the place. The Brass Rail Bar of Port Huron holds a special place in the hearts of many patrons, thanks to its long-standing owner, Helen David, who ran the bar from 1937 until her passing in 2006. Her grandson has since taken over and continues the family legacy. This former candy shop exudes a nostalgic charm that welcomes both longtime residents and newcomers alike.
Brass Rail is the kind of bar that makes you feel right at home the second you walk in! The chill atmosphere was exactly what I needed, and the staff was on point all night. The bartenders were not only fun but super attentive, and the rest of the crew was constantly making sure empties didn’t sit around long—talk about service! The music was an unexpectedly awesome mix of heavy rock and holiday tunes, which somehow worked perfectly and kept the vibe alive. And can we talk about the Christmas decor? It was clean, festive, and just the right amount of over-the-top for the season. I’ll be honest: I’m not a fan of the Tom and Jerry’s (hot liquor is just not my thing), but that’s totally on me, not them. This place is a good ol’ fashioned bar in the best way—made me feel like I was back in my college days. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a relaxed and fun night out!

Crowning jewel of Port Huron holidays. Is it even Christmas without a Brass Rail Tom & Jerry?
Pam P — Google review
Absolutely fell in love with this place. It's a must stop in, if coming into Port Huron and wanting a local bar. Definitely a time changer, you feel like you're heading back into the 70s or '80s. The staff is phenomenal and the owner goes above and beyond to make sure each customer is happy. Can't wait to come back for Christmas in July in addition to coming back to try the bloody Mary.

Local favorite during the holidays. Love the bar Christmas decorations. Known for their Tom and Jerry drinks which are phenomenal. I absolutely love that they make popcorn, the smell of freshly popped popcorn fills the place!
Jennifer T — Google review
Can't review the food service or atmosphere. Parked my car and wanted to go in and a bunch of bikers out front said I can't park there. I stated I wanted to get something to eat. He stated you can't wear here. State also that this wasn't a parking space, yet pointed out to the thug that's what the white lines were. So explain why it isn't. Then he said the owners (Brass Rail) of the bar doesn't want cars parked there so move it. So I left. No reason now to even patronage a place that doesn't want cars there let alone people willing to eat. From other people's review this seems nice of a place with good food. The biker mentality on parking and wanted to try out the place just turned me off. So if I come down then you can't park cars there Friday or Saturday. FYI - There was plenty of room. All they had to say "sorry we have bikes coming and this place is reserved for them" I drive a classic and can understand. To out right lie makes me wonder. So you (owner) does not want cars Friday and Saturday since that spots reserved for bikes. No problem. May want to block that area off... No problem at least I know

I've lived in Port Huron almost my entire adult life, and I've never been here up until last week, but for being my first bar experience, I was quite impressed. I loved the Christmas set up!

This is like going to see friends for a drink. Myself and my friends were just reflecting that we have been going to the Brass Rail since 1980. It is not the holiday without a Tom & Jerry. Still miss Helen everytime we go in there. She was a true lady and her spirit lives on at the Brass Rail thanks to the dedicated staff.

Black River Country Club is a versatile venue that caters to weddings, banquets, corporate events, golf outings, and fundraisers. The course has undergone noticeable improvements in recent years and is now in good condition despite some minor issues like fallen branches and occasional litter. The layout offers diverse challenges with some blind shots that become easier with familiarity. The staff is friendly and accommodating while the fees are reasonable for the quality of the course.
We recently played 9 holes at Black River on two separate days. The course was in amazing condition and the pro shop staff was as nice as you’ll find at a golf course. Any reviews about poor condition of the course are not indicative of how it is now. The course is challenging but fair for all skill sets. If I lived in PH I would become a member!
Aaron L — Google review
Played 18 holes back in August while on a weekend getaway. The course was in fantastic condition, and the layout was both challenging and conducive to players at varying levels. Green fees and clubhouse pricing were well worth the investment. Friendly staff, good service, and tasty food. We'll be back next time through for sure!

Today I had the worst experience of my entire life with a business and that business is Black River Country Club. I had a $500 deposit with them for a class reunion since 2020. COVID shut it down in 2020 and then shut it down again in 2021. I have a signed contract extending the date to 7-26-2025. I have been coordinating the event since early February with the events coordinator Melissa. She told me that yes we are on the books and yes my $500 deposit is intact. Then 2 weeks ago she went dark...no emails, phone calls or texts were being returned. I then today got a call back from the incredibly rude and dishonest owner that they are not honoring my contract and are keeping my $500 saying my contract expired in 2021. I told him I would send him the contract extending the date to 2025. He hung up on me. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. If you have a reservation for an event, consider a different venue now !
Mary G — Google review
We had a great round at Black River this morning. The place has for sure seen changes over the past several years but you can tell they are working hard to bring it back to life. The course itself is in good shape and holes of different challenging levels. The main reason for my review is the Superintendent Brian. As we were headed out he made a point to find us at our car after noticing we were from Ontario. He introduced himself and thanked us for giving the course a shot, explaining the work they are putting in to restore it. That customer service and personal touch means everything. We can’t wait to go back again next summer on our annual trip!
Mallory F — Google review
Course was in very good shape specially considering the rain the night before. The course has some very nice character and is fun to play. However, there are a few blind shots that become easier once you're more familiar with the course. I will play again. The staff was courteous and helpful. Fees are reasonable for a course with this quality.
Doug D — Google review
First time back in a year. Last time I was there the greens were black and moldey. I went to play today. Told the counter person, I was going to try and do 18 holes. If I didn't get worn out. Had some work done on my heart. And would like a rain check or get money back on the differance. I was worn out after 9. When I went to get a credit he didn't know what to do. So he called the owner. Who said she would try to figure out how to do this. I was thinking pretty ease give me the balance between 18 holes and 9 holes?
Stephen — Google review
I never leave reviews, but this is kind of crazy. I got here at 9:25 for my 9:40 tee time, and the course was already backed up by 4 groups. No big deal. But the 2 groups ahead of us are golfing in groups of 6, and are 60+ years old. It’s 10:15 and we still haven’t teed off. What course books two groups of 6 on a Saturday morning? Or any group of six? The course is in alright condition but this just makes me never want to come here again

Owner is sketchy. Taking people's deposit and then not allowing them to have their event there. I will not be back.

Vinomondo Winery, located in Fort Gratiot, is a pioneer in wine tasting and has been leading the trend since 2004. It is known as the oldest and most experienced winery in the area and has become a top destination for Michigan wine lovers on the Lake Huron coast. Visitors can even make and bottle their own wine at this winery. The staff are known for their great personalities, making it a wonderful place to enjoy some quiet time any day of the week.
Had both wine and beet tasting flights. I enjoy sweet wines and the unique flavors had a good blend and taste such as kiwi pear, strawberry banana, raspberry ice tea, pomegranate, and Seville orange.

🍷 Tried Vinomondo for first time with a friend of mine and was very impressed. Service was top notch and atmosphere was relaxing. The wine is so delicious, tried a flight and loved all of them! Bought 2 bottles to take home! Look forward to returning soon with my friends! Pizza was delicious as well!😊

Stopped in for our first visit and fell in love with this winery. Everything we tasted was delicious. My husband raved about the beers available, and I had a wine flight with some of the best wines I've ever tried. But best of all, the staff is outstanding! So friendly and helpful. We'll make the hour and a half trip to come back.
Krysten K — Google review
Amazing wine and they have gluten free options!! Super accommodating and comfortable atmosphere. Always a pleasure
Nina S — Google review
They have something for everyone! Dry, sweet, semi sweet, dessert wines. Their food lacked. We had a street corn dip that was served with very salty tortilla chips (cheap). Also, the street corn dip had hardly no corn in it and way too much lime. I am a semi-sweet wine lover and the Strawberry Watermelon and Black Rasberry was amazing! I would return, but not get the dip again.
Kimmy K — Google review
A hidden gem! Pat and the staff are super friendly, and the quality is unmatched. Lots of fun to be had here, even if you don't think of yourself as a wine drinker!

Unusual and very tasty wines. When you book a tasting, it's very personal and interactive. There's a $5 and $10 tasting. With the $10, you get 10 taste and food. The staff is very helpful here!

The St. Clair River Tunnel in Sarnia consists of two separate tunnels that run under the St. Clair River, connecting the United States and Canada. The first tunnel, constructed in 1891, was designed for standard gauge locomotives pulled by steam engines and was a remarkable feat as it was hand-dug, marking the first full-sized subaqueous tunnel in North America.
We caught the CN train running through the tunnel. We had perfect timing:)

I have not been under the bridge in about 18 years. Today, I was so delighted to see the restoration and walkway the city has placed. What a gorgeous park. It was my vacation today...drove 1.5 hours to get to it and just take in the beautiful blue water. So well worth it. Lightship Huron I had seen before, and the prices were a little high for a tour...but fun to see on the walkway if you just want to get up close. The Blue Water Bridge is a beauty!

The center boasts clean restrooms, vending machines stocked with snacks and drinks—including ice cream—and spacious outdoor areas perfect for picnics or simply enjoying the fresh air.
Super friendly staff, clean facility. Staff was able to help me find maps (free) specific to my needs (hiking). He was helpful without being pushy. Glad he approached us to lend a hand, I may not have sought out assistance.

We've been to most of Michigan's welcome centers and this has to be in the top 3. Very clean facility all over. Tons of car parking. The Truck/RV section isn't the biggest, but still has plenty of room. There's a huge store in this one but they closed before we got there.
Thomas L — Google review
Very clean. The man in the information area was very knowledgeable and friendly to talk to. Had a very nice picnic on the grounds. Nice to be home in Michigan. The half was point home!
David P — Google review
What’s good: It’s extremely convenient as your first stop after crossing from Canada. If you’ve been through customs and just need to stretch legs, get maps, or hit up clean restrooms, this place does the job. The staff are reported to be friendly and helpful. They have a lot of brochures, state-tourism materials, and travel info so you can plan what’s ahead in Michigan. Restrooms are clean (which really matters when you’re coming off a border wait). The place is reasonably well set up with basic amenities: parking for cars and trucks, vending machines, picnic areas. Good for a short break. What’s less great: Vending machines seem to be a hit or miss. Several visitors report some machines out of order, or not carrying certain items (diet sodas, etc.). So if you count on grabbing something quick, don’t depend entirely on that. The Welcome Center itself has limited hours. Even though restrooms might be open, the staffed info center isn’t always. Depending on what you need (maps, recommendations, help), you might find the main services closed. Because it’s right after the border, it can get busy or feel like just another stop. If you expect a big show (like a visitor center with exhibits), it’s more modest. Verdict: If I were you driving from Ontario into Michigan, I’d plan to stop there. It’s not going to blow your socks off with grandeur, but it nails the essentials: rest, orientation, a clean facility, a little breathing room before you hit Michigan roads. Good for resetting after border delays. 1 hour+ usually!
Jordan M — Google review
This rest area is the perfect place to stop after crossing the border. There is plenty of parking for trucks, and cars. The washrooms have always been clean and functional (unlike other MDOT rest areas), and there's lots of green space to walk the dog and stretch your legs.

It has a little something for everyone, a new skatepark with a drinking fountain and playground and picnic area. The only problem is there are no bathrooms and the picnic area is very close to a busy street so it could use a fence around the park for the safety of small runners. But other than those two things it's a very nice place.
TheRealDealHealDanbeals — Google review
Great new cement skate park. Skate, bike and scooter friendly. Big time bowl. Couple ledges, a step up, done stairs and some rails. Could use some parents' benches and some sun shade would be a nice addition.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the families all out at night, food trucks, residents supplying the fireworks🎆 a good experience

Its a great park for the little kids. I wish it had a fence around it.

Really nice, new equipment. Handicap accessible with some playground features made for kids with mobility or sensory issues. It also has a nice splash pad. There is plenty of street parking. It is a very active park and the kids love it!

So relaxing ! I love to look up the boats that pass by and know what they are carrying, see the length , where it came from, etc ! #supernerd

Great park to stop at for little guys. It is large and open they even have small splash pad area for the summer. Clean porta pottys.

One of the most beautiful places on earth! Ice is coming downriver today and waves are crashing against the rocks.

Grew up in this neighborhood, and it is nice to see the improvements. I didn't know they put in a small splash pad, which really turned our park hopping day around. It was great!

Gorgeous park just just slightly off the beaten path so to speak. Great spot to relax, talk your dog out, fishing along the Black River,or maybe even catch a softball game at one of a few baseball diamonds also located on this huge expense.
Rick H — Google review
It's always a great weekend for a soccer tournament! Fields are well kept and the snack stand was open. For the most part the participants and spectators kept the trash left behind to a minimum after each game. With how often this park is used it would be nice to see permanent bathrooms instead of Port a potties. Looking forward to Fallfest!!!!
L E — Google review
This is a peaceful park tucked away in the township. AYSO soccer league plays here, there are baseball diamonds used by different leagues, pavilion rentals, basketball court and a playground. You can also fish the black river, & watch the golfers next door.

The Memorial Park hosts the feast of saint Clair, which is most of where my experience comes from. I love the area, it's right next to the water which is a lovely view. There's also a little Park for kids, that's a nice little area too. I still remember playing there as a young child.
Ryan G — Google review
We love this park. It has a separate playground for littles that is fenced and gated. Makes going to the park more relaxing for me. Nice pavilions and also has River access.
Emily B — Google review
Amazing little park tucked awain in Port Huron Township. Awesome space and covered seating for parties (you just have to call the township office to reserve a pavillion). Also, each year just after the fourth of July, the local fireworks dealer puts on an amazing show. Truly a community asset.

The Port Huron Recreation Department is a beloved hub for community engagement and family fun. With a variety of programs catering to all ages and interests, it has continually evolved over the years, making it an essential part of local life. Families rave about the beautiful parks and recreational areas, like Sprout City, which have become favorites among children and grandparents alike. The dedicated staff consistently goes above and beyond to create enjoyable experiences for everyone in the community.
Very very very friendly great blizzards and a puppy treat. Keep up the great work I will be back. I would like you to share with your awesome staff we were here Monday June 6th at 330. Thankyou

I love the activities and programs but some of these high school soccer volunteers need to get it through their heads they are playing and teaching 5-10 year olds. I've seen too many kids get the ball kicked in their face and chest as if they are trying out for varsity. Multiple parents have shared the same opinions.

Great area for younger kids to play!!!
Jonathan M — Google review
I like the idea of this play space, but what I saw today was just horrible. Several of the play structures were written all over. The sandbox area was not safe as it was full of trash. I was really hoping this would be a great place for my 3 year old to play, but it was the exact opposite. While at Palmer Park, we witnessed teenagers enter the play area meant for littles and were throwing things all around. My daughter did enjoy playing on the new play structure at the park, but Sprout City was a disaster. We will not be returning or recommending this play area. I hope the parks and rec department can take care of this and make this a safer space for the littles.

34International Flag Plaza

Memorial park
The International Flag Plaza in Sarnia, Ontario, is a captivating destination that beautifully honors those who respond to emergencies. This charming memorial park may be modest in size, but it carries significant meaning and offers a serene atmosphere for visitors. Nestled near the Blue Water Bridge area, it's an ideal spot for leisurely strolls along its scenic pathways or simply relaxing on benches while soaking in the views. The plaza features multiple memorials and provides ample opportunities for photography amidst its clean surroundings.
Very nice and clean park. Multiple memorials. Plenty of spots to take scenic photos. Long walking path. Park Does have Porta John’s for restrooms, they were Clean. No homeless or shady people. Free parking.
Clint C — Google review
There happened to be some type of rally the day we were at the International Flag Plaza and the weather was cold and windy. There was plenty of parking along the walkway. Once we parked, we headed to the plaza which is under the Blue Water Bridge and across from Thomas Edison Depot Museum. The first thing you notice are the two large flags in the center of the plaza representing the United States and Canada. There were many statues/signs at the plaza honoring: 1. Storm of 1913 2. Tuskegee Airmen 3. Blue Water Maiden 4. The "John S. Martin" 5. Honoring Native Americans of Turtle Island If you get an opportunity it would be very educational to stop and read plaques at the plaza.
BT — Google review
Awesome place to come to while visiting Port Huron. A beautiful memorial to honor those who respond to 911. While smaller in size, it speaks volumes. I always visit this plaza when I come to explore the Blue Water Bridge area.

Beautiful spot with walking area and statues and monuments. Right next to the water. Canada right across the bridge. Freighters can be seen coming in from Lake Huron. Highly recommend 💚💯💯
