Historic Bridge Park in Battle Creek is a unique 26-acre park dedicated to restoring truss bridges that were once in disrepair. The park features five metal truss bridges and one stone arch bridge, all open to foot traffic and connected by a network of trails. Visitors can enjoy the picturesque surroundings, take leisurely walks, or have a relaxing lunch at the picnic tables. The park also offers a playground for children and is part of the North Coast Trail system.
Such a beautiful park, we didn't even get to explore the whole park. I would definitely go back. They had a good amount of picnic tables. They have a park for the kids. Good parking. And such beautiful nature. Bring some snacks for the chipmunks 😊💟

Very nice place to talk a walk, get some fresh air, see some beautiful scenery and just relax. Bathrooms were very dirty, but everything else was quite lovely. Definitely will go back.
This is an incredibly beautiful place. I highly recommend walking the trails the old stairs, and the bridges. Very peaceful!
Very beautiful park. Easy in and easy out. So many bridges, is what makes this park unique. Great for special events.
Enjoyed this little park and walking path. Park was pretty clean minus some simple trash and had to pick up fishing hooks left where kids could step on them. But all around kids loved it and want to return.
Great place to visit and walk around. Nice little trout stream, excellent historic bridges, nice walking trails and a park for kiddos.
Five historical bridges have been moved from different places to this great park that provides great accommodations for nature lovers.
Part of the North Country Trail goes through the park. There is a picnic area and a playground. Its dog friendly, and they have restrooms.

Bailey Park is a fantastic destination for families and sports enthusiasts alike, sprawling over 80 acres of recreational bliss. This vibrant park boasts three full-sized baseball stadiums and two softball diamonds, making it a hub for America's favorite pastime. It's also home to the Battle Creek Bombers, where you can catch some thrilling summer league action featuring top talent from across the nation.
If you have kiddo's, this park is for you. Want to take your dog to great dog park? This is you place. 800+ acres of beauty and peace. Linear Trail runs through part's of Baily Park. Making it great for walker's or for those whom like to pedal there bike's. Do believe that some baseball has resumed out there( thinking only for family at the moment). Porta Potties, located through out park, with a wheelchair accessible one at the park outside the playground for kid's. And there are some fast-food restaurant's located centrally by Bailey Park. Let me know what you think for yourself when you visit Bailey Park 🏞️.

Beautiful to see the geese and their babies and ducks and saw a raccoon getting dinner
There’s a baseball park nearby that’s perfect if you’ve got kids. It has a great gated play area with one way in and one way out—huge peace of mind for parents. Within 500 feet, there’s also a kayak drop-off and easy access to the baseball fields. It’s honestly one of the best, most accessible spots to get everyone together. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you’re seriously missing out.
Nice baseball and softball fields. The infield is a little hard but still nice to play on. It's also nice to have a playground for the little kids to play on, and it's also nice that the park has restrooms.

I bring my kids here just about everyday (when the weather allows it) for at least 30-45 minutes. It's such a nice park and has 1 entrance so I don't have to worry about them running off somewhere.
Park is right next to the river so there's always geese and ducks around. During the spring (like now) the babies have all hatched and it's nice to be able to watch them.
It's a nice big area with TONS for the kids to play on. They have a bunch of normal swings and the red swings for younger kids or disabled. It buckles in so they can't fall out and I think it's just a wonderful idea.
But as you can see from the pictures the playground equipment is strong and also suitable for grown children 😅💕
Great for the kids, a couple of playgrounds. 12 and under will have a blast. Some sketchy activity in the parking lot though.
It's a good place. Busy with baseball in the summer. Lots of room with some kids playgrounds.theres even a boat launch at the river.

Nature preserve
Ott Biological Preserve, located just east of Battle Creek, is a 300-acre nature preserve offering peaceful walking trails through tall trees and around three serene lakes. The park features five miles of well-marked paths that wind through wetlands, forests, and alongside spring-fed lakes. Visitors can spot various carnivorous plants like pitcher plants and orchids along the way. This unique destination has been attracting nature lovers for years due to its diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife.

I enjoyed my 90 min 3.3 miles in this nature preserve. It had a little bit of everything from low laying swamp areas to a couple of nice ponds along with a section which seems to be an old sand dune section. Very well marked paths with maps to know your location. Can't really get lost at this one. Great easy spot for any hikers of all ages.
Upgraded trails are beautiful. All new parking and a new unisex bathroom. Great job!

I'm from out of town, and when I went, the families welcomed me like an aunt from outta town. I was there around 1pm through 4:30 p.m., and everyone there had little ones for my children to play with. It was fun today. Did not go at night so not sure if it was the time of day but it was fun around that time.

Depends on what time of day your visiting. The children were having a lot of fun, until some grown folks decided to start arguing and wanting to fight, then came the police.
That blew our day, cause it was time to go then 💯
The expansive children's play area is clean, shaded by trees and well planned.
The equipment is of high quality and there are no broken parts or signs of abuse.
The wooden beam retaining curbing is secure.
All equipment will support the weight of an average man.
Parking is sparse.
The park had a lot to do, basketball courts, playpark, there was places to have food it was overall very large and very nice even has a splash pad for the little tots.
Very nice place; i went on a day when the water was not coming out at a splash pad; but my son still played at the rides.

A very clean and relaxing park all the kids were having a great time. Lots of adults and parental involvement. The only problem that I have noticed is people need to really watch their speed, and go exceptionally slow because this park is geared towards the little people and you never know when one might dart out, or just walk out not paying attention. So please ,please remember there are a lot of little people out there.

Beautiful well-kept park that is toddler friendly, especially for active ones that love to climb. We also love that there's a trail to bike or walk. A hidden gem.

It's a cute little park geared toward younger children. Its well shaded with plenty of area to run around. The playground is on the smaller side ,however if you wanted to throw a birthday party there are 2 picnic tables and a functional bathroom under a small Pavillion.
This hidden little gem was a nice quiet place to stop for the kids. There are benches, grills , (you'll need charcoal), and a unisex bathroom. My only complaint was the bathroom was still closed/winterized. There is a short path you can take to a river that had a small overlook. The play structure is made for 5-12 year olds. Unlike many other parks that have rubber mats or sand, they have rubber mulch.
Nice spot to get out of the river. We use this location to kayak from historic bridge. There is a kayak launch dock. There is limited parking. There is a bathroom as well with a nice little park.
It's a nice stop to sit down and enjoy the day. It's also fairly common to see people in small boats going by in the river. If you bring your children with you there's a nice playground for them to enjoy. However, there isn't a lot of parking available so take that into consideration.

Not as great as it used to be, found needles and caps everywhere, trash..a lot of loud obnoxious people come here to hang out and they no longer leave the bathroom open during winter season..used to bring my dog here all the time but two many others show up with animals on no leashes. Pretty much just a good place to stop and sit in your car
Beautiful park! It was nice to have a covered pavilion with bathrooms and picnic tables so close to the playground.

2023 All new picnic tables including 4 with wheelchair access under a covered pavilion. 2024 New dog waste station. Bedford Twp residents can rent facilities including restrooms by contacting the clerk at twp office. Playground mulch is well kept. Foot and fishing access to Wabascon Creek. Bedford Days parade and party held last Saturday of September.

Nice little park in Bedford ,small creek to fish, playground for the little ones and several picnic tables under a roof. I walk my dog here regularly.
A litter-free park!! The creek is lovely to fish or play in, there's new-looking playground, well maintained. It's unfortunate that the outhouse is locked, but it's peaceful even when there's a gathering

I have passed by the park many times. I have not actually stopped to use the park. I have seen many persons playing with kids and dogs. Have seen several family get together at the pavilion. The park has always been well maintained. Not alot of parking.

Annual family reunion here. I'm from 90 miles away. This park could be better taken care of. Picnic tables are unsafe. Bathrooms need updated. The new playground is wonderful.
Beautiful peaceful park, well kept playground, clean bathrooms (locked unless you reserved the park) peaceful creek running through. Not very busy, lots of space. It isn't outright noticable if you're not looking for it. We had my daughter's baby shower there, everyone loved the location. It's just so peaceful. I've heard they do movies in the park on Friday nights in the summer. Definitely a great place to take your kids, or have a family gathering.

It's a really nice park except for the fact that it's in a crime filled city and people trash the park up and do lude behavior. But other then that it's a nice hang out spot for people who don't have a job, or have kids and need someplace to get out of the house for a while.🙂👍

Friendship Park in Battle Creek is a charming spot to start your trail adventure. While the trail may be a bit tricky to find, the park itself offers delightful features such as beautiful murals and an amphitheater-style seating area for performances. The park's location next to the river provides plenty of seating options, including metal benches on both sides of the river and concrete benches or rocks scattered around. Additionally, visitors can enjoy concerts and theatrical events during the summer months.
This is a small, triangular park next to the river. There is plenty seating, some metal benches that are in both sides of the river and some concrete benches or rocks scattered around. There is a rain garden in the middle of the park. Also, there is a small amphitheater with a mural behind it on the opposite side of the river.
