Boston in 5 days

If you only have 5 days to spend in Boston, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Boston, the capital of the state of Massachusetts, is the largest city in New England. As one of the oldest cities in the US, it's often referred to as "The Cradle of Liberty" as the starting point of the American Revolution. The downtown area is filled with historic sites, like the Old State House and Quincy Market where you can grab a bite to eat and get a feel for the city. Boston is also home to Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, where you can catch a game in the summer or watch the Celtics play basketball.
With favorites like El Pelón Taqueria, Parish Cafe & Bar, and Sullivan's Castle Island, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Bostonia Public House and Flour Bakery + Cafe so you can get the best taste of Boston while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace is a historic shopping center located next to the iconic Faneuil Hall in Boston. It features three historic market buildings and a promenade, offering a mix of indoor and outdoor shopping and dining experiences. Visitors can explore a variety of stores selling jewelry, clothing, souvenirs, footwear, pet products, and more. The marketplace also boasts numerous eateries where visitors can sample different cuisines.
Love this place so much, we went once on each day we were in Boston! I loved the tomato based seafood chowder at Boston and Maine Fish Company, next to Chowda. $10 for a small bowl, and buy the garlic bread for $2.50 extra, has a nice tangy crust. The Irish beer pub across the hall is cool to hangout and people-watch. Beers are $9 each. Lots of cool places to eat but watch out for the touristy trap ones.

A great place to go for lunch as a tourist in Boston! So much choice of food. Enjoyed some American Mac and Cheese! The small portion is ginormous . So delicious! Will definitely return when next in Boston. Public toilets available here too!
Lois C — Google review
It's very close to downtown Boston. There are many vendors selling foods, snacks, souvenirs and also many shops with a good collection of apparel. I like the place because it's very walkable and there are artists and also street performances like you can enjoy. You can walk in the building of the market. There are three separate buildings. Each of them features different set of merchandise goods. There are children's play area inside and outside the building. Pets are welcomed.

This was on all of the Google searches for being a must see in Boston. There were so many food vendors and the building was historic and beautiful. There were areas to eat although it was pretty crowded. It was fun to look at all the different types of food available.

I went when it was a quiet Friday evening and there wasn't much going on. The stores were warm and offered souvenirs and trinkets. The history on the wall though was fascinating. Restrooms were clean and located down the steps. There are outdoor seating benches and tables and is located next to the Samuel Adam's Tap Room. Just a couple hundred feet away is the Boston sign. So, all in all, well worth the trip! Saturday the place was swarming with people, music blasting and some break dancing was going on as others walked around and shopped.

This place is an indoor and outdoor establishment. Full of wonderful places to eat from all over the world. Little shops from Christmas, sports, home goods, and many more. Great atmosphere and architecture.

Very good selection of food. Clean place. Pretty crowded since is in the touristy area. My son had a meatball sandwich, my husband and I had pasta. Everything was tasty.

Quincy Market is a historic food hall located in Boston's Waterfront area, operating for nearly two centuries since its opening in 1826. With over 50 eateries, vendors, and kiosks offering diverse culinary options, it has become an iconic destination for locals and visitors. The market is renowned for its New England seafood restaurants serving fried clams, calamari, and clam chowder.
One of the most must-see places in Boston. The Quinsy Market in downtown is a gallery of diverse world cuisine that you won’t find anywhere else. The market is 100 meters long, with different gastronomic offerings on the right and left. From freshly squeezed juices to pastries with exotic names and flavors. Entering this market you will plunge into an adventure that you will not forget. Lobster sandwiches are a must-try.

Quincy Market is a vibrant and lively spot that perfectly blends history with fun. The entire area is clean and well-kept, making it a pleasant place to walk around. The food choices are incredible — from classic New England chowder to international flavors, there’s something for everyone. The lively atmosphere with street performers and happy crowds adds to the charm. Facilities like restrooms and seating areas are well-maintained and easy to find. A must-visit when in Boston!

We flew in to Boston for the lobster and sea food. The clam chowder soup was so fresh. We absolutely love it. The lobster tail roll was wonderful. The jumbo shrimp was so delicious. There are a lot of food choices in one place. It was definitely worth the trip. We will come again.

A great spot to head for a tourist lunch in Boston! The Mac and cheese is incredible! So much choice and a communal Central hall to sit / stand and eat your food. All the portions are ginormous , good value for money! Public restrooms under the market. Arrive early to avoid too many crowds. Lots of souvenir shops around too.
Lois C — Google review
I spent a couple of hours exploring Quincy Market and had a fantastic time. I grabbed an incredible lobster roll inside the main food hall and joined a group of people sitting around a high counter the setup is casual and friendly, so you just find a stool and dive in. The market itself is lively and full of energy from local seafood and chowders to souvenir shops, Boston sports gear and little boutiques selling all kinds of fun gifts. Everything was clean, well organized and filled with that unique Boston charm. Outside the market, I came across some really cool statues and plaques honoring Boston legends including Larry “Legend” Bird of the Celtics and the great coach Red Auerbach. Their bronze tributes add an awesome local sports touch to the area and make for great photo ops. The surrounding area is just as great completely walkable, with nice waterfront views and historic architecture everywhere you look. Between the food, the atmosphere and the energy of the place, Quincy Market is definitely a must-visit when in Boston!

Place is very popular when visiting Boston. The Market has popular foods you can try, very interesting foods. Since it is popular & full of interesting foods there’s lots of people with the same idea. Space for eating is limited in the building but there’s open space outside to enjoy. I tried Famous Regina Pizza & it was delicious. Chinese food I also tried is no extra ordinary. You’ve gotta try all variety foods so come hungry!

We visited on a Wednesday in mid-June 2025. We were here for lunch and then came back for dinner as well. It was decorated outside for pride month at the time. For the middle of the week it was pretty crowded. I think the center part was more crowded than the ends. We were also pretty early in the season i think for majority of tourists. We ended up getting food and eating outside but we did for a table for dinner here. There is a wide variety of food selections and the cost are a little inflated. The facilities were nice and clean. the restrooms were downstairs it was a little confusing trying to find them the first time. It's a very good place atmosphere wise. Ton of vendors offering free samples as well. Kind of like a busy mall food court. I would totally recommend and visit again. Parking is honestly the hardest part. We part at the garage at Post Office Square because it accommodated taller vehicles with our minivan and cargo carrier on top. It is a bit of a hike though.

Aquarium
Zoos & Aquariums
The New England Aquarium is a must-visit waterfront attraction featuring a giant glass tank surrounded by a multilevel walkway. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of iconic landmarks such as Old North Church, Custom House Tower, and Independence Wharf. Additionally, the aquarium offers the Northern Lights yacht Boston experience with options to sit inside the cabin or on deck while enjoying drinks and snacks. The location is easily accessible by bus, subway, or train.
A great aquarium! Clean and organized. I enjoyed that the exhibits we're put around the center tank so when you're walking around the tank you go up or down while seeing the other tanks. Easy for kids to navigate and see into each tank/exhibit. Afterwards you can still go out and explore Boston within walking distance.

This place is amazing! Took an Uber from a cruise port as its less than 10 minutes away. Spent a good 2 hours walking through the 4 floors of exhibits ranging from seals, stingrays, clown fish, sharks, turtles, jelly fish and an anaconda. Extremely clean. We are from out of town but brought an annual membership. Well worth it even if you go just once. Trying to go again soon!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Magical Day at the New England Aquarium! I absolutely loved my visit to the Boston Aquarium! From the moment I walked in, I was surrounded by incredible marine life and beautifully designed exhibits that made me feel like I was stepping into an underwater world. The highlight of my day was definitely the sea turtle — such a magnificent and graceful creature. Watching it glide effortlessly through the water was truly mesmerizing and peaceful. Another favorite was the seahorse exhibit. I could have stood there for hours watching those delicate, whimsical creatures sway and twist around the coral. They’re so tiny, yet so full of personality! The entire aquarium is thoughtfully laid out, making it easy to explore while learning so much about ocean conservation and the importance of protecting marine habitats. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the animals they care for. I also appreciated how clean and well-maintained everything was, from the tanks to the viewing areas. Whether you’re visiting Boston for the first time or you’re a local looking for something special, the New England Aquarium is a must-see destination. I can’t wait to go back again soon!
Kory B — Google review
So I will preface this review by saying I have been to over a hundred zoos and awuariums over the last 6 years. This aquarium is pretty decent. A good variety of different fish, and overall they do have as good a layout as they can with the space they have. Pros: Variety Bright colored exhibits Good signage about animals Cons: Price for size Very tight space inside Bad signage on where to go next Again, I liked this aquarium, but for $40+ bucks I would like to have not been shoulder to shoulder with everyone else there. I also feel like the "Sharks" exhibit is a joke, and some of the exhibits talk big, but then fail to deliver.
David P — Google review
This aquarium was really awesome. The turtle was super active and we happened to come during feeding time. The octopus was also active during our visit. But arguably one of the coolest things was the shark eggs that were back lit. You can see the embryo moving within the egg. Overall it was a great aquarium experience and I would recommend.

My fiance and I LOVED the New England Aquarium!! No kids yet, but cannot wait to bring the little one here soon! Such an amazing layout and awesome exhibits. The stingrays are so cute and friendly, the penguins, seals, and sea lions were sooooo much fun to sit and watch. It was a little crowded but not too bad for a saturday! We will definitely be back!!
Kat ( — Google review
For the $40 for the amount of space for museum, probably not worth it. We had tickets from corporate otherwise I would have been disappointed with price for place. The shark exhibit…. Is it really one? Not much. Was able to catch the feedings for sea lions and penguins so that was good. More could be made into something or have more interactive things. The explore spot for little ones had barely anything there for kids to play with. But it gave us a good spot to sit and have a snack

No matter the age anyone can enjoy this place! I Spent Colombus day here with my hunny and out 17 year old daughter. We were there about a hour and a half. A lot of people but not uncomfortable. There’s a lot of variety with fishes and diff kind of frogs, sharks, turtles ect. We even got to see staff going into one of the big tanks and feed some of the animals. My family had a great time and all the staff were friendly. Always love coming here☺️

The Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum is a floating historical museum that offers an immersive experience of the events leading up to the Boston Tea Party. Visitors can witness live reenactments by actors in period costumes, including the dumping of tea chests into Boston Harbor from a replica 18th-century ship. The museum also features multimedia exhibits, holographs, animated portraits, and a short film about the Battles of Lexington and Concord.
Awesome and educating experience, we bought our tickets in advance. We had no problem being greeted by our fair old time characters at check in and were ushered into a great reenactment. Without giving too much away, you will enjoy yourself! Even those who aren’t big into history. You will get to learn about the Boston tea harbor and so much more, you’ll learn about the people involved and why it’s important to remember history. Awesome people who work here who really embrace the characters and explain anything you have a question to. You do also get to throw tea into the harbor! They have a really cute gift shop with tons of souvenirs and they have a variety of little snacks and drinks. We recommend the cookies!

Huzzah! The Boston Tea Party Museum is a fantastic, interactive experience from start to finish. The 1-hour guided tour was packed with energy and fun—our guide brought history to life in such an engaging way. My 9-year-old was absolutely ready to become a real revolutionary, especially when it came time to toss the tea into the sea. After all the excitement, we enjoyed a delicious cup of tea, which was the perfect ending to the visit. Truly a memorable and educational adventure. Highly recommend!
Bullseye G — Google review
Celebrate one of the milestones of the American Revolution with a visit to the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum. Boston is drenched in colonial tourism, and this attraction was tons of fun. The costumes are all very well made. The staff is so friendly and courteous. The actors embody their characters and put on a great immersive show. You get to see a reenactment of the colonial conspirators and if you’re lucky and brave enough, you’ll get a line or two to speak during the proceedings. Explore the belly of the ships that brought tea to Boston and toss a ceremonial crate of tea over the edge for a great photo op. This is one of those places where you get to learn by accident. You’ll be so immersed and enthralled by what is going on around you that you’ll be pleasantly surprised that you were learning at the same time. There are a few replicas from the early years of the U.S.A. as well as portraits, paintings, and entire rooms that bring you back 250 years. Kids and adults will thoroughly enjoy their time at the ships and museum. Parking isn’t terrible, but definitely plan some time to find a good spot or parking garage. The streets and traffic flow around the museum take some patience. The museum gets a big recommendation as a must-visit.
Mappening R — Google review
It was special to know the story through acting and also including the visitors into the characters. It was impressing to walk step by step from the beginning of the incident, to the ship and pour out the tea, and saw the exhibits and documentary to feel emotionally. It was worthwhile to not only experience the history, but also absorb how the past has brought to the present. Sending pics to staffs who act professionally! Thank you very much!
Rita L — Google review
An awesome experience. Actors acted out events and taught real USA history. The ship was small and gave a very good idea of the conditions these men worked in. The gift shop was fabulous. The best deal was Abigail’s, on the premises. For ~$5, you get unlimited cups (in cafe only) of each of the 5 types of tea that were thrown overboard

A Phenomenal Trip Back in Time: History Made Real! If you are looking for an immersive historical experience in Boston, visiting the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum is an absolute must-do, especially with family. What truly elevates this attraction above a typical museum visit is the fantastically talented cast of historical interpreters. From the moment we stepped aboard, we were completely transported back to 1773. The performers didn't just read lines; they embodied the colonists, infusing the drama leading up to the act of rebellion with passion, energy, and wit. The experience felt authentic, lively, and truly immersive. They seamlessly guided us through the process—from the initial town meeting to finally tossing the tea overboard—making us feel like active participants in a pivotal moment of history.
Santosh M — Google review
What an amazing experience, from start to finish! Engaging, fun and a lot of learning! The actors/ characters really made the entire experience fun! Great job! Great for all ages, even my teen who doesn’t care for history enjoyed it. We will do it again when we return to Boston! Highly recommend!
Sam — Google review
It was an experience, one that was touching, educational and thought provoking. I loved the tour on the ship and the ability to throw the tea overboard, but my favorite is probably the museum with the talking portraits and theater elements. I found it to be creative and touching. The bottomless tea which you can purchase at the café was a nice touch after the tour. All in all, a great piece of history to take with you while visiting Boston.

American restaurant
Bostonia Public House is a trendy two-floor establishment housed in the historic Board of Trade building, offering New England cuisine and a vibrant bar atmosphere. The venue's design blends modern touches with traditional elements, celebrating Boston's rich heritage. It is known for its great drinks and classic Boston fare like the famous Boston baked beans, traditionally served with brown bread. While some may affectionately refer to Boston as Beantown due to its history with molasses, locals rarely use this term.
We ate here twice in the span of 2 nights and like our experience each time. The shrimp cocktail is a must when you come here. The whipped feta app was good, but I don’t think it’s a staple. Instead, opt for the lobster tacos. They’re small, but incredible. The southwest salad was very nice. The scallops were very good, but could have been better seared. Let’s talk about the burger- Fantastic ! Get it. By far the best thing I had here and it was truly one of the best burgers I’ve had anywhere in the past few years. The cocktails were solid. Overall I love this place because it’s a nice atmosphere in a central location to the financial district and serves food late.

My friend and I came on a Saturday for brunch before heading to an all day music festival. It just so happened to be her birthday so we decided to splurge and treat ourselves. I decided to order the short rib poutine and a side bourbon-glazed cinnamon roll. The short rib poutine was out of this world and the dish was so massive it was more than enough food for two meals. The Bourbon-glazed cinnamon roll was tasty, although a little dry. The service was friendly and attentive, and my friend‘s mom even called the restaurant and paid for our meal to surprise her for her birthday. Definitely a good brunch spot if you find yourself in the area.

Lobster Benedict was amazing! Highly recommend and the potatoes were so soft and flavorful, by far my favorite breakfast potato I’ve had. Cinnamon roll was ok a little dry but likes the flavor. The build you’re own Bloody Mary was our favorite part to our Sunday Brunch.

Amazing place for dinner! We made a reservation last min but were still sat immediately. Huge place with a lot of seating, nice atmosphere- was a little loud but it was a Friday night so thats to be expected. Food- we ordered the steak frites, clam chowder, and lobster mac and cheese. Everything was great, steak cooked perfectly, mac and cheese was to die for.

We went to Bostonia to celebrate a birthday. The waitress was very attentive and gave us good recommendations. We tried two of their mock tails and started with some oysters. We wanted to try the whole menu but ended up having the stuff, crab cod. The atmosphere was very nice. They sent out a lovely birthday dessert and celebration. Their s’mores dessert was so yummy!
Rachel J — Google review
Okay, so our eating experience here wasn't great. We had a waitress that didn't smile. There was some confusion with my drink. To be fair, I was offered a replacement, but it was the most bitter Mojito I have ever tasted, so I couldn't drink it. Our food took over 30 mins to be served. On top of that, each dish was either salty, tasteless, or too small a portion to be worth the price, respectively. When asked by the waitress how our meal was going, we couldn't help but voice our dissatisfaction. I was very impressed when the manager later came out to apologise. He explained that they were having a busy day, which explains the poor service we received. He said the meals were on the house and offered us desserts on the house as well. We didn't go for the desserts but appreciated the gesture of goodwill. That was very good customer service. Kudos to the waitress for passing on our displeasure. The restaurant does have a lovely ambiance and the food was well presented.

Growing up in Boston, I knew that I’d have a fantastic dinner. However, Bostonia Public House was the perfect mix of Bostonian flavor with its own amazing flair! Karen served us and she was so incredibly sweet and so on top of everything. Now I can’t wait to get back again! We tried the poutine, poke bowl, PBH Burger and the Ultimate Burger. Everything was incredible (there really are no words to describe our experience). Don’t pass this one up - it’s the real deal! Thank you Karen!

Bakery
Flour Bakery + Cafe is a popular local chain of pastry shops with nine locations in the greater Boston and Cambridge areas. Founded by pastry chef Joanne Chang and business partner Christopher Myers in 2000, this delightful bakery offers a delicious menu of French treats like croissants and sticky buns, all prepared in-house daily by professional staff.
First time here and we went for lunch after a visit to the Children’s museum. Very smooth ordering process with kiosks or with servers. Ordered the roast beef sandwich and soup of the day. Also ordered a grilled cheese and turkey bacon sandwich for the family. Sandwich and soup were some of the best I’ve ever had. Cafe was busy with steady flow of customers. Great pace and service despite being so busy. Definitely will be back!

Ambiance is a 5, with covered outside patio accessible via flight of steps, very inviting. Inside you will find variety of menu items from baked treats to signature beverages (not just coffee!). Self serve cold tap water. Service and staff friendliness is a 5, with them showing me what goes into their mint cucumber drink. I ended up ordering iced chai latte. My daughter ordered their strawberry lemonade. Both were a 3. Their baked pastries and cakes looked good, we will definitely go back to try.

Friendly folks at this bakery, which offered a lot of nice looking treats, none of which my waistline could afford to try. Kiosk by the front let's you order upon arrival but I just went up to the counter. Got an Americano - all the espresso based drinks come from a touchscreen machine if you're opposed to that sort of thing, but mine came out great.

Came here while on vacay in Boston. Ordered the French toast with bacon, and the entire meal was truly fantastic. Reasonably priced too. The worker who brought my food out definitely was not friendly. But whatever. The food made up for any customer service flaws. I’d eat there again.

I love to check out new pastries! Love getting up earlier and walking to one as they open. If you ask me thats the best time to come in and get a fresh pastry. Id say anything after 4pm is questionable!. Anyways this place is nice. Full menu, different pastries for everyone. Everything from cookies, muffins, jelly filled items. Its really awesome. Id say I spend $40 that morning. Plus there French toast is great. They don't give you enough syrup at all! I love to self service kiosk. I do wish staff would have told me that as soon as I got inside. No one said anything to me and I was standing up front for 4mins. Other then that, just on food and the atmosphere of this place was wonderful. Staff on thr other hand idk, maybe I caught people on a bad day or something.

Not impressed with this bakery unfortunately. I went after learning about the hype of this place but I was disappointed from the very start of my visit. I don’t know why they don’t have wheelchair/stroller access after being in such a busy location. I saw so many parents coming from the children’s museum and of course they had strollers which made going up harder, especially if you are alone. Safe to say that I won’t be visiting this location alone again. The 2 doors are also not electric/mechanical so you can’t push a button to open. This would have been okay in other places but when you know that a lot of your clientele is of the parents that are visiting children’s museum , steps should be taken to make their visit easier. After help by a kind stranger I was finally able to get inside and ordered the slice of midnight chocolate cake. (Also IF there is another entrance that is wheelchair friendly, there should be signs outside informing the customers) Prices are reasonable and the vibe is good of the place. However the cake was dry and a day old. I could tell that from the very first bite as the cake and icing layers started falling apart.

Gerard is honestly, the highlight of my visit. Whether it's customizing my matcha or latte or giving me set aside privileges for Flour's amazingly buttery shortbread cookies which are often sold out. Flour is wonderful. Like any business, there's the rare occasion something ordered requires a minor tweak. Gerard isn't satisfied until the customer is satisfied simply providing an up leveled, refined experience - one of the many reason that keep me coming back from Miami to Boston! Merci Gerard!!!

Seafood restaurant
Neptune Oyster is a small, upscale oyster bar located in Boston's North End, just a short distance from the water. The restaurant offers a variety of fresh seafood options, including oysters, lobster rolls, octopus, scallops, and sea urchins. With only 22 chairs and additional seating at the long marble bar, patrons can watch skilled oyster shuckers prepare over a dozen different types of bivalves.
This was my second time at Neptune Oyster since I’ve been visiting Boston for the last few years. You have to wait outside till the server sees you. This place is small but completely packed. They only have enough spots for maybe 50 people to eat. Probably one of the best Lobster Rolls in my life. The servers and staff were very nice, we ordered 3 lobster rolls and some oysters. Absolutely a great time. It’s loud in there new use it is such a small spot. If you are looking for a local spot that’s got great atmosphere and food this is the spot for you. Take time to enjoy the city and the local spots.

On a recent business trip to Boston, my first time in the city, I decided to wander through the North End and check out Neptune Oyster after hearing so much buzz. The long line spilling out onto the curb seemed like a good sign. I waited about 45 minutes for a single seat at the bar. Inside, the space is small but charming, with a handful of tables and mostly bar seating. I started with a “cup” of clam chowder, though be warned, it is closer to a bowl. The broth is light and on the watery side, not the creamy style I personally prefer, but it was packed with clams, which I appreciated. Next up, I ordered a half dozen oysters from their impressive raw bar. They had the best selection I saw in the area, with more than a dozen varieties from all over, and I chose a mix of Massachusetts oysters for a local taste. All were fresh and delicious. Of course, I had to try the famous lobster roll, especially since almost every table inside had one. I went with the hot buttered version. While the lobster meat itself was sweet and flavorful, the roll was heavy on the bread, not particularly warm, and overpowered the filling. The french fries served alongside were barely warm and so heavily salted that I could not eat them, and I love salt. I ended up eating the lobster and leaving both the bread and fries behind. Service at the bar was friendly and attentive, and the wine list had some nice options. Overall, I am glad I tried it for the experience, but on my next trip to Boston I will probably explore other spots in the North End instead.

It is a legendary eatery in Boston, and the food and ambiance clearly show how it rose to the title. The oysters are definitely a must, they have got an extensive ordering sheet complete with the flavour profiles of each oyster which they selected and shucked to perfection. Also don’t forget to get the giant clams that were juicy and tasty. I really liked all the other food too, they have a daily special that changes all the time and whilst we were here we had the clams pasta which was just delicious. Don’t be afraid of the crowd, you are in for a treat.

The line for Neptune is literally all-day, but most def worth the wait! Smaller parties of two or less are more likely seated faster and sooner and with other small parties, which we didn't mind at all. Oh yeah, we were a party of ✌️. There was a party of eight in front of us and by the time we finished eating they were still waiting. It's a small spot AND had excellent service and food was great! We had a late lunch/snack before dinner and the portions were great. We finished everything. I think I'm used to the lobster in the roll being more buttery, but it was still good. My bf doesn't really like seafood much, but he loved the yellowfin crostini and wanted more. We would definitely come back again the next time we're in Boston.

Absolutely worth the wait! Neptune has a cozy, charming vibe—even though seating is a bit tight, it just adds to the atmosphere. We waited about an hour and a half for a table for three, but it was worth it. The oysters were incredibly fresh and perfectly balanced, and the lobster roll was out of this world—100% recommend! If you’re not feeling seafood, the 16oz bone-in ribeye is amazing too—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. These guys need to expand!

Be prepared to sit shoulder to shoulder with a stranger, but the amazing food makes it worth it!! I walked in on a Monday around 5pm and luckily was able to skip the line for a seat at the bar. The octopus was definitely my favorite of the night. It's grilled perfectly and served with tender pieces of cauliflower. The lobster roll was pretty good too. I ordered it hot and it came with a really generous portion of lobster meat, though I wish I had opted for the cold version for some more flavor. Come with a small group, definitely no larger than 4.

Pretty cozy place. You don’t have to wait if you go for lunch in weekdays. One of the waiter was emotionaless looking hence 4 stars but the rest were super friendly. Oysters are fresh and clam chowder were super flavorful. Lobster roll unfortunately was a bit below expectation in a sense that it’s a bit overcooked and bread was not toasted
Quang L — Google review
You will wait as long as it takes. You will sit where they tell you to. You will sit with who they tell you to, and I would do it again and again because its worth it. Lol. My husband and I visited Boston for the weekend primarily to enjoy the fried clams at Neptune. We enjoyed orange wine, oysters, scallop crudo, clam chowder, fried clams, lobster roll. Delicious.

For day 2, we recommend exploring the northwest side side of town. Start the day off with Fenway Park, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Fenway Park is a historic and intimate ballpark located in Boston, known as the home of the Red Sox and a venue for big-name concerts. It holds a significant place in Boston's built environment, alongside landmarks like Faneuil Hall and the Freedom Trail. The stadium offers behind-the-scenes tours during the off-season and hosts a popular summer concert series.
Fenway is a iconic and historic ballpark. This was such an amazing experience. Saw the Red Sox vs. Houston Argos game (2-1 home win for Red Sox) and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere and energy from the crowd was amazing and the lighteffects after the win were super cool. Food and beverages were okay priced, not too expensive in my opinion. Great experience being there!

This is the best tour I’ve been on in a long time! The street and local atmosphere is something out of a movie, and the tour is very affordable and informative. The guide was fantastic, telling fun stories of his life in Boston and his 10 years working at the field. We saw everything from the original seats to the press box, the green monster, and the special VIP museum that holds World Series balls, bats, uniforms and memorabilia from over the decades. I would recommend this tour to anyone I know, especially baseball lovers. So worth the time and money!

Thanks to Kevin and Zach (apologise if I spelled them wrong) The tour was amazing! They provided clear and touchable introduction about Fenway Park, the immortal and irreplaceable history of Boston Red Sox, including each detail on and off the court, and what did here happened somethings that were truly iconic, and more little adorable sides of the park, such as Fenway Farm! I was impressed by every step I took without a doubt! It was worthy to take a tour here although there's no baseball matches now. Glad to be here to calmly know everything about Fenway!

We took a guided tour of the Fenway stadium. Booked just about 45mins before the tour from the kiosk at the Gate D entrance on the Jersey street. Great experience. The tour guide, Abby (if I remember correctly), was great - very informed as well as great style of presenting facts. With very long history and so many interesting things happened with the Red Sox, the tour was definitely worth it. We don’t watch baseball and have only elementary knowledge of rules but it was still very much easy to understand. Definitely to be done if you’re in Boston.

This was my first time visiting Fenway Park, and even though my team wasn’t playing, I knew I couldn’t come to Boston without checking it out. I’m so glad I did, the energy inside the stadium was incredible! From the moment I walked in, I felt the history and passion that make Fenway such a special place for baseball fans. The crowd was electric, and what really stood out was the sense of community. The entire stadium came together, singing songs, cheering, and living and breathing every moment of the game. I felt completely swept up in the excitement. We just so happened to be there for the game the Red Sox clinched their spot in the playoffs with a walk-off win! The stadium absolutely erupted. I’ve never felt that kind of excitement at a ball game before. You didn’t have to be a Red Sox fan to appreciate the moment. Being there for that walk-off and watching the team celebrate was something I’ll never forget. Fenway isn’t just a place to watch baseball it’s a place to feel it. The atmosphere, the history, the energy it all makes for an incredible experience.

Fenway Park is one of the Mecca's of MLB that every baseball fan needs to visit in person. It was great attending a Boston Red Sox game in the one of the oldest baseball parks in America. The food was good and at a decent price, but it was the surrounding bars and restaurants around the park that made it a great overall baseball and sporting experience!
Josh B — Google review
Being a Cub fan from Chicago, home to the most iconic stadium in all of sport, I must say that I continue to be impressed with the condition of Fenway Park. It's no Wrigley Field, and it being a few years older, doesn't make it "grander", but it's a fun place to see a game. The fans are pretty great, and supportive of their team, but the place emptied out long before the game was over because the Sox were getting their butts kicked. You don't ever see that at Wrigley... no matter what the score. I was in Yankee Stadium in this trip out East too, and I continued to be unimpressed with that ballpark.
Larry B — Google review
Came out from California, San Francisco Giants fan. Got a real good look at this beautiful ballpark. I think what makes it special is the foul lines. Makes it look like an old ballpark I used to play in when I was 12 years old. Just kidding. But it does make it look really authentic when you're young playing baseball. We had a great time with the guide. He was very knowledgeable. And he was from California. I would strongly suggest this place if you are a baseball fan. The tour is great.

Museums
The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston is a leading art museum with neoclassical and modern wings that showcase a vast collection ranging from ancient Egyptian artifacts to contemporary American works. The museum features the Fenway Exhibition, "Hokusai: Inspiration and Influence," which pays homage to the iconic 19th-century painter and printmaker Katsushika Hokusai.
I recently visited the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and it was an outstanding experience. The museum's collection is vast and beautifully curated, ranging from ancient Egyptian artifacts to contemporary art. One of the highlights was the impressive collection of Impressionist paintings, featuring works by Monet, Degas, and Renoir. The layout of the museum makes it easy to navigate, with clear signage and plenty of space to enjoy each exhibit without feeling crowded. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to provide insights or answer questions. I also appreciated the temporary exhibitions, which brought fresh perspectives and unique pieces to the museum. The on-site café and gift shop were excellent additions, offering a pleasant break during the visit. Overall, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is a must-see for anyone interested in art and culture. I would highly recommend setting aside a few hours to truly enjoy everything it has to offer.

The Museum of Fine Arts Boston is incredible. There’s so much to see, from classic masterpieces to contemporary exhibits, and it’s really easy to spend a full day exploring without feeling overwhelmed. The galleries are well laid out, and the museum does a great job of balancing large, famous pieces with smaller, hidden gems! I love how interactive and engaging some of the exhibits are, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The museum has a really welcoming atmosphere, and I always leave inspired and wanting to come back. Whether you’re an art lover or just looking for a fun, cultural day out, the MFA is definitely worth visiting!! :)

Inside, you'll discover an extraordinary array of art, from ancient Egyptian relics and classical European masterpieces to Greek, Roman, and Impressionist works. Don't miss the captivating collection of musical instruments, which adds an enchanting rhythm to the museum's diverse offerings. Overall, if you’re looking for a fabulous activity to do during the off-season, whether you’re a local or a tourist, MFABoston is an excellent choice! You’ll absolutely love it! Best, Srdan Dokovic

A fantastic museum with a great variety of exhibits. We only got to see about 1/3 of the displays, so definitely should’ve left more time. The Americas section had lots of interesting pieces and the Jewish art room was really interesting. We were able to get tickets there with no issues, but you can also reserve them online.

Absolutely amazing museum! Where shall I start?! Egyptian art, European art, Greek and Rome art, impressionist art - blew my mind, amazing collections! Musical instruments collection - mesmerizing! And the best part they open till 10pm on Thursday and Friday. I really appreciated that!

So nice, we went twice! But actually we had a morning planned to see the exhibits and loved what we saw , but had only seen a fraction after a few hours. We went the next day when they have $5 late night tickets to see some more. There's still so much to see and it's all so interesting. The cafe was good for a lunch. The staff were all super friendly. Set aside at least a day to visit if you want to see the highlights of all the exhibits.

Extremely popular attraction for tourists and locals. Not too crowded but full and friendly. I would like to return on a quieter day. I loved the museum design and height of exhibit halls. The Japanese art collection is the most impressive in the world.

Definitely worth a visit. I would highly recommend doing an hour long tour which runs throughout the day and it’s included with your admission ticket. The museum is nicely laid out in an organized fashion. There are several dining options. I was happy that there is a casual cafeteria with very reasonable priced foods. The museumwas easily accessible by train, which dropped me off right in front of the museum.

Very unique museum! I'm very glad I left the toddler at home - definitely only for kids who will absolutely not touch, as many works of art are not protected. The cafe makes for a nice little break in the day. The prices were $20/plate but it was delicious. We spent maybe 2.5 hrs total including lunch.

I have wanted to visit for years and I finally got my chance. What a wonderful museum. I truly enjoyed that it was organized the way she wanted and that won't change. I found it refreshing that there weren't descriptions posted on everything because I'd recently felt that, for me personally, I was spending more time reading and less time observing. The courtyard is delightful and unifies the whole museum, the floral design was beautiful. Thank you to all the helpful staff as well. I'm looking forward to my next visit
Lisa S — Google review
A really fun art collection housed in a beautiful building! Each room has its own theme and pieces are grouped how Isabella Stewart Gardner originally arranged them. There are only a few information signs, mostly explaining the rooms theme. If you want specific information about pieces there are QR codes to access audio guides. The garden is a highlight that you can see from multiple vantage points on each floor. We visited at 12 on a Saturday and it was very busy, with the blue and yellow rooms on the first floor having lines to get in. We spent about 2 hours and got to see every room. Definitely a great visit, but next time we’ll try a weekday for less crowds.

Amazing I’ve been dying to come to this museum for 5 years now and finally I was able to see it. The collection is extensive and gorgeous. The garden transports you to a calm and serene place. I spent about 30 minutes looking out into it and admiring it before continuing with the rest of the museum

Fascinating museum, with lots of unexpected, beautiful, rare works in all corners of the museum. It is a spectacular building, with a beautiful courtyard that is worth seeing yourself. I went around with the audio guide in my ear which really gave me things to think about and focus my attention. There isn't a lot of plaques of information, which are by design so for me the audio guide really helped me see things, and take the time to appreciate when you are constantly looking everywhere at everything. "The more you look, the more you see". Was well worth the time and experience!

As a design student studying in New York City but originally from the Arabian Gulf, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum struck me in a way few museums in the U.S. ever do. Walking through its spaces felt like rediscovering the quiet dialogue between old Al-Andalus and the wider Mediterranean world — a dialogue I grew up seeing echoed in Gulf architecture, textiles, and craftsmanship. The moment I stepped into the courtyard, I felt that familiar Andalusi sensibility. The arches, symmetry, tiled patterns, and interplay of shade and sunlight immediately reminded me of the gardens and riads shaped centuries ago by Islamic and European exchange. It’s a space that breathes with softness — lush greenery, terracotta textures, and perfectly framed views that make the courtyard feel almost like an open-air poem. Inside, the richness of the collection becomes even more captivating. The textiles were easily my favorite element: velvets, silks, brocades, and tapestries hung not as background pieces but as architectural gestures. The patterns, the repeats, the deep jewel tones layered against earth hues — many of them felt directly connected to Andalusi visual language. You see the same long, shared history of geometric borders, stylized florals, and symbolic motifs that traveled between North Africa, Spain, the Levant, and the Gulf for centuries. Even the smaller items — carved wooden tools, metalwork, illuminated manuscripts, decorative boxes, fragments of embroidery — were beautifully displayed and allowed their craftsmanship to speak for itself. The level of detail in these objects reminded me of the artisan traditions back home, where even the smallest everyday tools are made with intention and ornament. You feel the hand of the maker in every groove, stitch, and mark. What sets the museum apart is its curation style. Instead of sterile gallery layouts, Gardner arranged rooms like personal worlds. Objects converse across periods and cultures, and the result feels intimate, lived-in, and atmospheric. This layered, emotional approach to space-making mirrors the way interiors in the Gulf and old Andalusi homes were traditionally composed — less about rigid classification and more about creating harmony, story, and spirit. The entire museum feels like a study in how architecture, landscape, and objects can create an environment that is both culturally specific and universally resonant. For someone who grew up surrounded by Arab craftsmanship, then trained in contemporary design in New York, seeing this blend expressed so elegantly in Boston was genuinely moving. A breathtaking experience, rich in detail and full of cross-cultural echoes. I would recommend it to anyone interested in design, history, or the beauty of how influences travel across time and place.
Mohammed A — Google review
Stunning. The amount of pieces of art, the variety of her collection, statues , tapestries and the history alone from the 1990 robbery makes this place worth the visit. The garden is breathtaking and the building is so beautifully built with marble staircase and the multiple rooms, one leading into the next - all three floors giving you so much to see! And they're now trying to uncover more art from the ceiling! There is even a whole section dedicated to the works of Allan Crite! General admission was about $22. Most definitely worth it! I recommend watching the Netflix series about the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum called: "This Is a Robbery: The World's Biggest Art Heist", a documentary about the 1990 art theft. The series explores the unsolved case of how two men stole over $500 million worth of art, including works by Rembrandt and Vermeer, which have never been recovered.
Amy B — Google review
An extraordinary museum with a unique atmosphere that feels more like stepping into a beautiful home than a gallery. The courtyard is breathtaking, the art collection is diverse, and every corner tells a story. A peaceful yet inspiring place that combines history, architecture, and culture in a way unlike any other museum. Truly unforgettable.

Tasty Burger is a laid-back spot in Fenway that offers an array of inventive burgers and a variety of craft beers until late at night. Whether you opt to dine in or grab takeout from the open window, you're in for a treat. The freshly baked patty and onion rings, along with crisp veggies, make for a delectable burger experience that won't break the bank. The thin-cut, flour-dipped onion rings are particularly noteworthy for their crunchiness and sweetness.
I was initially surprised and disappointed by the closure of the Original Tasty Burger near Fenway Park, but then I discovered that the restaurant had moved to a brand-new, shiny location on Van Ness Street, just a stone's throw from Fenway. The menu is exactly the same as when I last visited, even though the place looks brand new. The interior is very inviting and cozy. The burgers are still excellent. I had a cheeseburger with bacon, lettuce, and tomato, plus some onion strings on the side. It was a delicious meal, though I regret not getting the fries. The service was great, and my food came out super fast. I just love a good burger.

I was in town for work and we went out to Tasty Burger for lunch. This was right across from Fenway Park. I will say, this place lives up to its name of Tasty Burger. It really was great. They also had some roll-up windows on the side to let in fresh air, which was really nice. They had some cool artwork up, including ones from the movie from which Tasty Burger was born. I wish we had some of these near us where I live.

(8/20/25) We had an absolutely excellent experience dining here for the first time! It’s a comfortable casual atmosphere. The noise level was quiet during our particular stop. The food is very delicious and cooked perfectly! Great menu items and their prices are very competitively priced for the quantities they serve! The wait staff are top notch; friendly and knowledgeable and very responsive. Can’t say enough good stuff about this restaurant!! Highly recommend! We will definitely return here during our next Boston trip!!

Great prices for food and drinks! Post Halloween bar crawl was a special time to be at tasty burger. Luckily we got seated almost immediately. There was a table of grannies, various mario characters and animals, and regulars as well. Got the cheeseburger and 50/50. Onion rings are delicious, fries are perfect too. Must try the tasty fry seasoning!

The food is so amazing I’ll be back - however service is truly awful. Went at 11 , ordered a regular chicken sandwich with all of the fixings and a shake for take out. In the takeout area there is no seating and we stood for around an hour to get a sandwich that had no fixings. I didn’t even bother to tell the server cause my parking expired at midnight. Hustled back to my parking and just threw the sandwich in the fridge for lunch tomorrow. Still, despite anything on it, tasted flipping great. I’ll be back, and make sure I have plenty of time to spare. But please for the love of sandwiches try to fix your service quality. I don’t minding standing around for something truly awesome but man what a disappointment not having any fixings.

Fatty processed chicken sandwiches all stringy pieces of fat throughout every bite. Completely inedible and disgusting. See photos for examples. Absolutely horrid experience start to finish. They should remove this from their menus and change their business name as it was far from tasty let alone pleasant. Uber driver was smoking in the passenger seat and took 2+ hours to deliver. Food was cold and overall one of the worst experiences to date.

I have a dairy allergy, so I got their Turney burger without cheese on a gluten and dairy free bun. The bun was very dry, but flavorful - the turkey patty and sauce were good. I loved their fries/fry seasoning.

El Pelón Taqueria is a popular spot known for its made-to-order Mexican street eats, including fish tacos and beefy burritos topped with housemade salsas. The small and cheerful space tends to get crowded before Red Sox games, as fans rush in for a quick bite or grab to-go orders. The menu features authentic favorites like fried plantains, house tacos filled with outstanding proteins, and braised pork tortas with spicy mayo and lime onions.
The food, both taste and texture, is on point, the portions are very big for what you pay for. The atmosphere is... really it's mostly a place to pick up the good food to go elsewhere but they do have cramped seating for roughly 20 people.

This place has a very casual and fun vibe. The staff greets you with a big smile. The menu is not too large but big enough to make you want to order everything! I never heard of Mexican sandwiches but glad I tried it. It was amazing! Their tacos and plantains are blasting with flavors! So glad we found this place.
Sammi C — Google review
Let’s be real. Boston isn’t exactly overflowing with great Mexican restaurants, and when it comes to Fenway, it feels like a desert. El Pelon used to be the most decent one in the area, but its quality has gone down in the past few years. I used to order their Platos for delivery occasionally, but I recently had a bad experience with the pork and chicken platos. Both meats were dry, and the toppings lacked the punch of flavor you'd expect. Even compared to local chains like El Jefe’s, it fell flat. The Steak Platos I tried during lunch were a slight improvement, but not enough to quench my Mexican cravings. It’s a shame that El Pelon is still considered the best takeout Mexican option near Fenway. Not sure if I’ll be going back.

Was recommended the El guapo burrito. Tasted great! Good flavour and i think there was banana or some kinda fruit in there which i found rly unique! It was really affordable as well. Even more significant for me though was that the service was topnotch. The lady who served me was all smiles and v friendly. She even went out of her way when I asked for a favor regarding keeping my backpack safe for an hour as I couldn't have it w me. To my surprise she accepted. If you're reading this I want to say thank you again. I can't commend them and recommend them enough!!

The Interior is relatively small, with limited seating. Still very cute and great for a quick lunch. If you're looking for a delicious and satisfying meal, I highly recommend trying the Americanos tacos. These tacos are a great choice for anyone who loves Mexican-inspired cuisine and is looking for a tasty and filling dish. The chicken is grilled to perfection, resulting in a juicy and flavorful meat that is the perfect complement to the creamy sour cream and fresh cilantro. Definitely one of the best taco places in Boston!

This place has given Mexican food their own unique twist. The food is pretty good, and at reasonable prices. I had their enchiladas a favorite of mine. The only issue I had was that my enchiladas were swimming in sour cream but other than that I had no complaints. The staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant has a cool vibe and while eating in or waiting for takeout, you can’t help but go through each and every photo covering the walls. It almost makes you feel like you are traveling to all of these places around the world while you are at El Pelón. I recommend you check this place out. You won’t be disappointed! 😋

Pretty good Mexican food. Tried it for the first time today and I have no complaints. They make your food very quickly it took about 5 minutes from when I ordered until when I walked out the door. I didn’t get to try the guac or chips and salsa but they did look delicious. I got a chicken & steak plate. Had some good flavor and both the meats were cooked well and seasoned well. Second or third time here. Food has been excellent each time. Tacos are delicious and very filling for $3. Plantains are a must, and definitely try the green hot sauce (which is hotter than it initially lets on). Awesome service too.

Sushi restaurant
Uni is a chic and stylish hotel eatery with a sophisticated ambiance, featuring dark wood accents and serving an array of Japanese delicacies such as sashimi, sushi, and unique Asian street food. The restaurant offers an exclusive Edomae-style omakase tasting experience every Thursday night, where guests can indulge in a 20-course meal prepared by the renowned sushi chef Tsuyoshi Takeishi.
We recently visited Boston for our daughter’s swim clinic, and before leaving, a friend of ours (who used to work at Uni) insisted we eat here. I’m so glad we listened to him—Uni is truly exceptional. The Japanese-inspired tasting menu was out of this world. Every dish was creative, beautifully presented, and full of bold, unexpected flavors that worked perfectly together. The cocktails were equally impressive—balanced, inventive, and delicious. Our server, Vee, was phenomenal. He was attentive without being intrusive, anticipated our needs, and made the entire evening feel special. We also had a blast experiencing the tasting menu with our daughter—it made for such a memorable family dinner. We didn’t know exactly what to expect, but Uni completely exceeded our expectations. It’s worth every penny for the quality, creativity, and service. If you’re in Boston, do yourself a favor and make a reservation here. You won’t regret it!

My wife told me about this place sometime ago and suggested I try it with my son. We came during my son college grad weekend and had a o patio table on a beautiful afternoon. The wait staff was excellent and explained every piece of sushi in detail. The sushi was very good but not mind blowing. The chef here had its own unique take and creation of each dishes which IMO stray into fusion style and less traditional. We actually preferred Blue Ribbon sushi on commonwealth ave.

Best dinner of our trip! Doug and V were such good hosts, some of our favorite dishes, that we would not have ordered otherwise, were recommendations from them. Uni spoons were a delicious and a fun way to start our meal, the sake flight was a nice variety, absolutely every dish was delicious and artistically made. Definitely recommend! Sitting at the counter made the whole experience even more enjoyable- I feel like we got a whole lesson in cuisine! Thanks Doug, V and Uni for a wonderful meal with wonderful company.

Was good, but honestly did not blow us out of the water, wouldn’t return. The nigiri was outstanding, and the Brussel sprouts were a favorite. The beets I would not recommend, came with a sort of curry that was just not appetizing. The dumplings we felt were too spicy, and the halibut portion was a tiny square whose flavor was a little bit too salty. Clearly people love it, so maybe it was just us, but wouldn’t go if we didn’t have the credit to help with the bill. Ambiance was great

We tried the daily tasting & enjoyed the ride. Some dishes were new to me; some others were less surprising, but everything was well executed. One drink pairing for two is more than enough. The room is pretty noisy & the chairs at the counter were not the most comfortable but the people working there were nice & interesting :) A good night in Boston!
Sarah D — Google review
The signature uni spoon and sashimi with foie gras were creative and delicious. The sushi was fresh and executed well and the charred romano beans were a standout. Signature drinks also worth a try and solid wine pairings. All in a nice atmosphere connected to a landmark hotel in the back bay.
John H — Google review
Indeed nice presentation for every dish, fresh ingredients, quality sushi but the dishes are all very small, no larger than 2 onces even for the cooked ones, and it’s $23 for a small bowl of noodles. Way overpriced.
Magda J — Google review
Not a single half decent piece in the whole tasting menu. First few apps were decent fish..with ridiculous things on them. Nigiri flights were cold and tasteless fish. The toro tasted like $5 supermarket tuna. They served a huge cut of duck that was super bitter and gamey. And to top it off a gross ice cream with rock hard cake. The one thing we liked were the carrots - seriously. The drinks were tasteless but surprisingly strong. For $225/person it was an absolute ripoff. Avoid at all costs.

Day 3

Off the beaten path
For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Charles River Esplanade. Not quite as popular as Public Garden, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Park
Boston Common, established in 1634, is a nearly 50-acre urban park with a rich history dating back to the American Revolution. It was once used for various purposes such as cattle grazing and militia musters. Over time, it has transformed into a beloved green space in downtown Boston. The park features ballparks, a playground, and several monuments including the Embrace, Soldiers and Sailors, and Robert Gould Shaw and the 54th Regiment monuments.
Boston Common is a beautiful, historic park right in the heart of the city. The open green spaces are perfect for a stroll, a picnic, or just relaxing and people-watching. There are plenty of paths to explore, benches to rest on, and seasonal events that make it lively throughout the year. It’s easy to get to, and the surrounding city views add to the charm. A great spot to take a break while exploring Boston.

This is such a beautiful and special spot in the city! No matter the season, it’s always such a nice place to walk around, sit with a coffee, people watch, or just take in the scenery. It’s got so much history, but it also feels very alive and welcoming. I love how it’s right in the middle of everything, you can wander through and end up in so many different parts of Boston!
Mia — Google review
It's is a big park with a very popular arm crossing sculpture at one end of the park. There is also a welcome center where you can find a lot of merchandise. And also there are restaurants fast food around the park. In the park you can see many people sitting there with their children and a lot of people. They are many people listening to the guides introduction of the history of Boston. There are a lot of ducks and squirrels. The squirrels here are not afraid of people. If you have food they will just approach you. This is surprising to me because I see a lot of other places whereas borrows won't just run away when people walk by. And many pigeons are in the park. Maybe because of the weather of Boston you can see red leaves. They're beautiful and a little pond in the center of the park. There is no parking so you better walk there but the transportation is very convenient.
Nan L — Google review
It was a lovely visit to be able to drink a cup of hot coffee and stroll through Boston Commons in the nice crisp weather. There is so much history to take in. While the red bricks are there to guide you through the Freedom Trail, it is nicer in my opinion to book a tour. Not only does it cut down the amount of steps, it also adds so much more to the learning of all the historical facts- which made learning fun, interactive and brought it to life!
Amy B — Google review
Absolutely beautiful park! Every time I've visited there is some kind of event going on. People relaxing, walking their dogs, people gathered at the visitor center ready to go on a Freedom Trail walking tour... A wonderful park surrounded by so much history and every day life alike. Check it out if you're ever in Boston. 🙂

What a beautiful big park with such a nice community & atmosphere! Super clean, has the most fat squirrels and lovely fall colors! It’s actually big, has everything you’d want in a park! Safe, no homeless lol.

A place to immerse yourself in the nature to find your true self. Boston Commons is the place which let you have the thrills of Military 🪖🎖️ artillery showcases, thousands of flags for memorial Day celebration, Japanese cultural festival, Boston Pride Day celebration and more and the chirping of birds, sprints of squirrels and quacks of the 🦆 all at once. To me this place has been my go-to destination every weekend to channelize my emotions and get back with more energy. Kudos to everyone making this place magical.

This was our first time and day at Boston Common. We were unaware of the No Kings event scheduled at the park for the day. We found the tourist center and bought 2 passes for the city view trolley 🚎 and quickly moved on to other parts of the city. Hopefully our next visit will be less crowded.

The Public Garden, established in 1837 and located adjacent to Boston Common, is a serene and picturesque city park featuring a lagoon, boat rides, fountains, and various attractions. This historic Victorian-era garden boasts meticulously groomed flower beds showcasing 80 plant species, ornate fencing, tree-lined pathways with benches for relaxation, and iconic public art such as the Duckling Sculpture and a statue of George Washington.
My family is here on a college visit and we like to wake up early. We decided to go to the Public garden for the first time on a Sunday morning around 8 am. It was absolutely beautiful. It was quiet and calm. Perfect way to start your day.

Such a beautiful and peaceful spot! I could have stayed all day, especially with the perfect fall weather. I captured some amazing Boston shots during my mini photoshoot. While there were plenty of people and lots of photo-taking happening, there were also plenty of quiet corners to escape the crowds. Truly loved my time here!

The Boston Public Garden is a must-see! It's a gorgeous escape right in the middle of the city, and a perfect spot to relax and get away from all the noise. The trees are stunning, especially in the fall when the colors are just magical. I love watching the squirrels play and taking a stroll along the paved pathways. The famous Swan Boats on the lagoon are a charming sight, and the park is great for all ages. It's completely free to enter, open from dawn to dusk, and super easy to get to with the Arlington and Boylston T stops nearby. Don't forget to say hi to the "Make Way for Ducklings" statue! It's a beautiful, peaceful place that's perfect for a walk, a date, or just unwinding.

We love this place! It’s serene and peaceful. This time around, we rode on the Swan Boat which was so nice since the last time we were here was in the Fall and the lake was empty. So glad we were able to check it out in the Summer. Be aware if it’s hot outside, the Swan boat is open so you are exposed to the sun and the elements, but you get a nice breeze from the water.

Loved visiting the public garden. It was so beautiful when we visited. Each tree has a history behind it and a plaque attached telling you where it’s originally from. Lots of space and great for families

Boston Public Garden, located just steps from Boston Common, is truly one of my favorite places in the city! The meticulously maintained gardens, iconic swan boats gliding across the lagoon, and beautiful walking paths create a serene urban oasis—perfect for a quiet stroll or a relaxing afternoon. The floral displays are gorgeously seasonal, and everywhere you look there’s charm: historic statues, shaded benches, and picturesque bridges. The lagoon view, especially at sunset, is postcard-worthy. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this spot is a peaceful escape in the heart of downtown Boston. Highly recommended for a peaceful retreat amid beautiful greenery—can't beat this gem near Boston Common!

A very beautiful garden in a very dirty city. This place was great to visit during my time in Boston, especially since everywhere in this city is filled with trash, more trash than I’ve ever seen in a city and that includes Seattle and New York. This garden was well kept, had so many places to walk and see it was just a great experience, do yourself a favor and check it out!

The Charles River Esplanade is a picturesque green space that runs along the Charles River, offering a scenic walking and jogging path with stunning views of the city. It spans several miles from the Longfellow Bridge to the Boston University bridge, featuring over 1,500 trees, playgrounds, ponds, and gardens that add charm to the landscape.
I went on a cool sunny day for a walk. Beautiful views. If you like watching sailboats and kayaks and ducks on the water. Plenty of space to picnic and benches to sit and relax or read.

Charles River Esplanade in downtown Boston is easily one of my favorite spots in the city! This park stretches along the Charles River, offering stunning views of both Cambridge and Boston’s Back Bay skyline. The sunset views here are absolutely breathtaking—think sailboats gliding across the water, warm pastel skies, and vibrant reflections. It's the perfect place to catch golden hour in the city! You can stroll, jog, bike, or simply relax on one of the floating docks or benches. The Esplanade also features iconic landmarks like the Hatch Memorial Shell, lush lawns, and quiet gardens that make it a peaceful urban retreat. On warm days, you’ll spot locals reading by the river, families picnicking, and rowers gliding by. And views of MIT and Harvard across the river just add to the scenic charm—especially as the sun goes down. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful escape, a scenic workout route, or a spectacular sunset backdrop, the Esplanade delivers. Highly recommended!

Nice place to take a walk or run and escape the madness of the city. Quite a few homeless people though, would be nice if the city could solve their obvious problem they have, not sure how but that’s why I’m not in charge of a city. Overall if you are in town and looking a nice place to escape the city this is a pretty good spot.

I frequent this area often, I love it over here. I walk or ride my bike on the bike path that goes along the charles river. There are great spots to stop and take a rest or relax for the day. Maybe throw a hammock up in a tree. The ice cream truck goes through there so you can grab a snack or refreshment. There is a cool playground for the kids to have fun at. The also have all kinds of events at the shell sometimes they play movies there and everyone can sit on the grass and enjoy themselves. Its a great place to go. You can rent boats or kayaks from the boathouse over there which looks like a lot of fun. There are some beautiful sunsets and views for photos. I cant say enough good things about this place. Its a nice place to go.

Beautiful area to walk, run, bike, or relax. The view over the river is lovely. Go in April when the cherry blossoms are blooming and you won't be disappointed!

No shortage of good vibes at this iconic Boston riverwalk. On a clear sky evening in the warmer months, the docks and benches are filled with people from all over taking in the romantic scenery with sunset. Even in the winter with the cold river as a backdrop, the Esplanade remains a place to seek solitude in our bustling city. For a special experience, visit during the 4th of July celebrations.

Historical landmark
The USS Constitution Museum is an interactive museum located near the 1797 wooden frigate known as 'Old Ironsides' from the War of 1812. It offers a hands-on experience for families, with exhibits allowing children to fire a cannon, build a miniature ship, dress up in sailor's clothes, and more. The museum also houses an extensive collection of artifacts from the original ship.
Visiting the USS Constitution and Museum in Boston was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip. Whether you're a history buff or just looking for something unique to do, this place delivers in a big way. We started at the museum, which is full of interactive exhibits that are clearly geared toward kids — but we’re two full-grown adults and still had a blast! From hoisting a (replica) sail to trying your hand at loading a cannon, the hands-on displays make the Revolutionary War-era naval history come alive. It's educational without ever feeling dry. We learned so much — like the fact that "Old Ironsides" earned her nickname not because her hull was made of iron, but because cannonballs literally bounced off her thick, layered oak walls during battle. We also didn't realize she’s the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world, still manned by active-duty Navy personnel. But the real wow factor came when we stepped aboard the actual USS Constitution. Walking the deck of a real ship launched in 1797 was surreal — the creaking wood, the ropes, the cannons, the narrow bunks — it’s all beautifully preserved and incredibly powerful to see up close. It gave us a whole new appreciation for what life at sea must have been like over 200 years ago. The staff and Navy sailors on site were friendly, informative, and clearly passionate about the ship's history. You can really feel the pride and care that goes into maintaining this national treasure. Highly recommended — even if you’re only in Boston for a day, make time for this stop. It's free (donations welcome), full of fascinating history, and an unforgettable piece of early American heritage.
Scott M — Google review
Nice museum. Has small replicas of the USS Constitution and lots of info about its history. Tells you about how the crew were recruited and their backgrounds, and the day to day on the ship. Also how the ship has traveled around the world and the battles it has won. There are some funny posters and it's interesting to learn.
Sagar K — Google review
The USS Constitution is an absolutely gorgeous ship and a remarkable piece of American history. Stepping aboard really gives you a sense of its scale, craftsmanship, and the role it played in the nation’s past. The experience felt both inspiring and educational, making it well worth the visit. The museum is an excellent addition, with interactive exhibits that make the history engaging for all ages. Younger visitors can get hands-on and learn in a fun way, while older visitors will appreciate the depth of information and the careful preservation of artifacts. It truly makes the history of the ship come alive and provides valuable context for the visit. This is the kind of destination that appeals to everyone: families with kids, students, history buffs, or older generations who simply want to connect with a living piece of history. The combination of the ship and the museum creates a balanced experience that is both educational and enjoyable. Overall, a must-see in Boston. Beautifully maintained, rich with history, and accessible for all ages, the USS Constitution and its museum offer an unforgettable experience.
John R — Google review
The ship is super fun to explore. It’s an old ship that was involved in some military activities. You can see how things were organised inside and the members of the staff (army) do mini tours inside. There are not so many artefacts from the past presented and I would personally appreciate a bit more of history of how people on the ship lived (despite some of that being mentioned) but in any case this ship is worth a visit as it’s a super historic one. Entrance is free
Alexey S — Google review
A good English Style museum capturing the true essence of the infamous historical events. Interesting about this place is the artifacts and all the information they have there is more of interactive (like hitting buttons, warships games, build your own warship, simulation and decision on your own character in the history). Apart from that there’s marine ship out there and stuff to see.
Aziz B — Google review
The USS Constitution Museum is a must-visit gem in Boston—engaging, educational, and deeply inspiring. The museum does a phenomenal job of contextualizing the USS Constitution’s legacy. Through well-curated displays, personal stories of sailors, and detailed models, you gain a deeper appreciation for the ship’s role in American history.

The Paul Revere House, located in Boston's North End along the Freedom Trail, is a restored Colonial-era home and the oldest house in the city. It was once the residence of American patriot Paul Revere during the American Revolution. Now a museum, this three-story house offers well-preserved family furnishings and provides visitors with a glimpse into history. The museum's enthusiastic staff provides plenty of commentary about the house and its former resident.
We visited on a Wednesday afternoon in mid-June 2025. We stopped here as part of the Freedom Trail. We where short on time and opted not to actually pay to go into the house museum itself. But you are still allowed to walk into the courtyard area and stamp your National Park Service Passport books. it's located on the back side of the little kiosk hut. It's funny because their sign says they open at 9:30 but they had another sign that said 10AM. So be aware that times may vary. Admissions were $6/adult, $5.50/seniors 62+ and students with ID, Children 5-17 $1. Photography, food, drink and smoking are NOT permitted inside the historic building. Interesting that photography was listed there. Maybe one day if we are back in Boston we'll stop by and check this place out.
David L — Google review
No photos allowed inside. It was interesting. Definitely get to see how much space we have in modern times. Neat seeing the old furniture and learning about how they entertained. Doesn't take long to go through, but you learn that there is so much more to Revere than we were taught in schools. And there's a tiny pear tree in the courtyard.
Renee S — Google review
Why to visit?... simple, well restored period home of one of the most recognizable names in American history. John Adams and Revere were compatriots and friends. This home is a national treasure that makes the story of America real... Buy, tickets ahead, it is also situated in Bostons Italian zone. You would be silly to miss a meal at any one of the amazing local eateries that pepper the area.

Pretty cool to see the only surging 18th century home in Boston. ESP its connection to Paul Revere. But it is tiny. It’s 4 rooms, no pictures allowed inside. The price matched the experience though it was cheap for 2 adults. $6 a ticket. Love little Italy though, it’s in a neighborhood with tons of food and drink options.
Ty H — Google review
If you love history you have to see the home. It may be small but you can't complain about 6 bucks these days. Well worth a quick look in a very old home while on the freedom trail.

The place is kept very close to what was a working family home in the XVIII century. The organization keeping the site is doing a great job with the personnel helping with questions in the special areas. A visit here can teach you like hours of reading. The history made here is too precious and needs to be kept alive. Good job and thank you for all you do.
Luz M — Google review
This was my favorite experience the whole trip after seeing Paul Revere's grave earlier on the freedom trail We eventually came upon this, his house. For only $6 you can walk through the house that he lived in. It really touched me in the moment when I was walking up the stairs and saw the worn stair steps, and the handrail that he would have used daily to ascend the stairs including that last moment when he climbed the stairs and got into bed and passed away. It really made me feel connected to the past. I also have to comment that the price is so good. Too many places charge a crazy price and then you can't even spend any money in the gift shop because it's too expensive to get in. The gable house was an example of this. I would recommend every person even if you're not walking the freedom trail see this. I even bought a book of his poem and his own account of the famous ride from their gift shop. I'm really glad that they make this accessible to everyone. They don't allow pictures this is understandable, butI really wish that I could have taken pictures inside of that stairwell. It's an image that I will keep with me for a long time in my mind.
Michael S — Google review
Entry fee of $6 gets you a historical view of life in that period. They have attentive staff in the rooms answering visitors questions. The grounds itself is a bit underwhelming from the outside but its worth the visit.

Seafood restaurant
The Daily Catch North End is a long-standing fixture known for its Sicilian-style pasta and seafood dishes prepared in an open kitchen. Despite unconventional practices like serving wine in disposable cups and not accepting credit cards, the restaurant's garlicky squid-ink pasta, greaseless calamari, and addictive monkfish Marsala make it a popular spot. Founded in 1973 as a calamari supplier, it later transformed into a renowned restaurant by Paul and Maria Freddura.
During my last trip to Boston, we finally made it to this popular Italian spot in the North End that I had been wanting to try. They don’t seem to take reservations, and we waited about 40 minutes in line—which is pretty typical for Italian restaurants in this area. The place is quite small, with limited seating, so expect to share long bench-style tables with other diners. The open kitchen and handwritten menu on the blackboard add a rustic, authentic charm. To start, they served complimentary bread with their signature olive oil and balsamic dip. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer—it was fresh, crispy, and came in a generous portion. For mains, we chose the shrimp scampi and a lobster pasta. The lobster dish stood out with huge chunks of fresh lobster in a light garlic and marinara base. It was simple but executed perfectly, though a little messy to eat. The shrimp scampi was also very straightforward, highlighting the quality of the seafood and fresh pasta. All dishes are served in the cooking pan, which makes the presentation unique. Portions are large and very filling—we couldn’t even try the black pasta I had my eye on, nor did we have room for dessert. We skipped the wine this time, but I’d recommend pairing one with their pasta. Overall, the experience was excellent: flavorful food, rustic ambiance, and a lively North End vibe. Just note—it’s cash only, so be prepared. I’d definitely recommend it and plan to return.

The Daily Catch (North End) – Extremely Disappointing Experience 👎 I honestly don’t understand how this place has such high ratings. My experience here was one of the worst I’ve had dining out — I regret coming and hope this review can help others avoid the same mistake. First of all: they only accept cash. No signs or warnings until you’re already seated. Very inconvenient in 2025. 1. Cramped, chaotic, and unclean: The place is tiny and feels more like a greasy food stall than a restaurant. It has an open kitchen, and the entire dining area smells like heavy oil and smoke. Worse, I saw staff grabbing food directly with bare hands — both the cooks and the servers. It was honestly disgusting. At one point, while clearing plates, they slammed them so hard that sauce splattered on my face. No apology. 😠 2. Very mediocre food: The seafood platter (for two) came with just one tiny lobster and a mix of seafood that tasted off — there was a strange bitterness to everything. The pasta was just plain dried spaghetti. Their signature black ink pasta? Overwhelmed with garlic and completely flat in flavor. No balance, no finesse. Overall, this was a complete letdown, both in terms of hygiene and taste. I have no idea how it maintains its reputation, but I will never return, and I suggest others think twice.

This was one of my favorite places. Came here more than 20 years ago a found it to be the best Italian food we had ever tried. On this visit, after some time, I think the quality is going down a bit. While the appealing of the place is still there with the small restaurant feeling and all the pastas that made it special before, the quality of the cooking is not to that high level it was before. Don’t get me wrong, the pasta was OK, but I did not come here for OK pasta. I came for the best pasta. That did not happen this time. Also, be aware this is a cash only restaurant so you have to prepare to fork $100-150 cash, which it many people carry these days. Give it a try but keep your expectations in check as you may have a better experience.

This place was highly recommended by the staff at my hotel. The food was fresh but the prices were high. I ordered the fish and chips. It came with 3 small pieces of fish and fries. There were bonus onion rings on top which were awesome. The best part of dinner here was sitting in an open window and watching the people walk bye. I paid $29 for the fish and chips was was way overpriced.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Daily Catch – North End, Boston If you’re looking for authentic, unforgettable seafood pasta in Boston, The Daily Catch is a must. I’m a huge fan of their Lobster Fra Diavolo. It’s hands down one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. The flavors are bold, spicy, and perfectly balanced, and you can really taste how fresh the ingredients are. The place itself is small and cozy, with that classic North End charm. You might have to wait for a table, but it’s absolutely worth it. Every bite reminds me why I keep coming back! It’s that good! Can’t say enough good things about this spot. A true Boston gem!

Tight in corridor, but the food is explosive with flavor. Simple, high quality ingredients appears to be the recipe here. This is our 4th time here- each time we've visited Boston area. We always order the Black Pasta Aglio Olio and Lobster Fra Diavolo and the results are always tastefully consistent. Treat yourself, a date, a friend and/or colleague to a wonderful experience at The Daily Catch.

We somehow just walked in on a day that was rainy as hell. Had no idea the place was so popular, we got to enjoy it just us and another table. The food was superb and came fast. The guys working were super friendly. The menu is short and sweet. Which we all know means they can actually cook the items. I've already sent plenty of people their way! Heads up CASH ONLY.

A very small restaurant with only about 20 seats. In November, we started lining up at 10:25 a.m. to get seats for the first seating and managed to be first in line. When the restaurant opened at 11 a.m., there was still one four-person table available, but by the time we finished eating, there was already a line outside. The Clams Casino, Black Pasta Aglio Olio, and Vongole Bianco were all excellent. Just bring enough cash!!

Italian restaurant
Contessa Boston is an opulent rooftop restaurant located at The Newbury Hotel, offering Italian-inspired cuisine with panoramic views of the Boston skyline. Owned by Major Food Group, it's known for its tough-to-score tables and luxurious decor featuring emerald, teal, and rose-hued velvet, pastel stone tile floors, and shiny brass accents. The restaurant serves sumptuous dishes like lobster spaghetti and offers one of the best complementary bread baskets in the city.
This place is a homerun. We went for early dinner on a Sunday. It wasn’t packed (b/c of the hour). Kind hostess, attentive team but without being overly intrusive. Our server, Conner, was informed on the menu, made thoughtful recommendations. My hubby ended up with two glasses of their Chablis by the glass and I had two glasses of the Dom by the glass. Both were perfect and generous pours by the Som. For food, they brought a bread basket with focaccia bread, olives, and parmesan cheese. I the had the meatballs (which were a 10/10) and hubby had the insalade verde (8/10). For mains, I had an amazingly tasty corn ravioli with a brown butter (10/10), and hubby had the scallops with capers (8/10). The overall vibe was fun from the ambiance and the team. A few stuffy patrons but overall, this is a must stop in Boston. We’re foodies used the Michelin stars in SF and this place holds its own. ❤️

Mostly amazing experience. Great rooftop spot and lively atmosphere. The food was mostly extremely good, especially the lobster capellini which was incredible. Also the ice cream was delicious. The oysters were very small and were strangely served with a very spicy sauce - we had to ask for the usual sauce which took a while. The salad was substantial but a bit boring. The salmon was very good. The service was extremely good, with the notable exception of a woman (not sure who) who showed up twice trying to impose on us some wine that was clearly bad. But otherwise they went out of their way to make us happy. There was an amazing lightning show that night. Well worth a visit but I think you need to research carefully what to order.

We came here to celebrate my birthday, and wow, it completely exceeded my expectations. I’ve had my fair share of pricey Italian spots, so honestly, I came in thinking the food would be just okay, and the view and atmosphere would make up for it. I was so wrong. The food was absolutely incredible, super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You have to try the squash carpaccio, it was unlike anything I’ve ever had: light, refreshing, and full of layered flavors. On top of that, the service was outstanding. Honestly, I couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate. It really does live up to the hype. Tip: Make sure to book a reservation at least two weeks in advance, this place fills up fast!

Contessa was one of the best choices I’ve ever made for spending a rainy, foggy night celebrating my husband’s birthday! We loved the view, and the interior atmosphere was amazing. Reserve in advance! All the food we ordered was delicious, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The portions were just right.

Service was AMAZING. Everybody was so friendly and sweet. The food was incredible. The lobster pasta was the best pasta dish I’ve ever eaten in my life. The veal cutlet was crazy good too. This is definitely now a top 3 favorite Boston restaurant!!

Tried Contessa Boston rooftop and it was such a lovely experience. The vibe in the evening is cozy and chic, definitely makes the atmosphere enjoyable. The food was delicious and well-prepared. It was my first time trying lobster – super fresh and tasty. I also had the salmon, which was grilled perfectly. Personally, I didn’t enjoy it with the pesto sauce, as I felt the pesto overpowered the salmon’s flavor. Maybe a different sauce would pair better, especially since we also ordered a salad that came with pesto, so it felt a bit repetitive. Overall, though, it was a great experience – I’d recommend it for both the food and the beautiful rooftop setting.

I had an incredible experience at Contessa in Boston! The views are absolutely breathtaking, making it the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. The service was top-notch—attentive and friendly, ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout our visit. Now, let’s talk about the food! The Panettone French Toast was a delightful twist on a classic, bursting with flavor and perfectly executed. And the Carbonara Scramble? Simply fantastic! It was rich, creamy, and so satisfying. Overall, Contessa is a must-visit for anyone looking for great food and an unforgettable atmosphere. I can’t wait to return!

Restaurant
Parish Cafe & Bar offers a delectable selection of gourmet sandwiches, craft cocktails, and an ample variety of beers. Situated just a stone's throw away from the Public Garden, this eatery provides a perfect retreat for visitors seeking to take a break from sightseeing without having to go indoors. The outdoor seating area with mid-height walls offers both al fresco dining and privacy.
Highly suggest going after 10 PM as the sandwiches are half price and the value is strong. The sandwich bread is fresh, and the sandwiches are genuinely good. Drink prices are standard bar range. The atmosphere is fine but can get too noisy. Note that the tip is calculated on the full, non-discounted price.

Bowl-O-Rings, Hawaii 5-, and Zuni Roll. My very picky son ate the whole Zuni Roll (so it must be good) and said it was filling. The Hawaii 5-0 is delicious and perfectly balanced. The cabbage does not overpower the sandwich in texture or flavor. It's perfectly sweet and not too sweet. The pineapple is there but does not overpower. The onion rings are light and airy and have a good crunch, and they taste better with the holidays than they do plain. They are not heavy onion rings, but they are onion rings, so expect a little grease. I was traveling to Boston, and I'm glad I ate at Parish Cafe & Bar. I would happily eat there again. They have mocktails on the drink menu, too, which is thoughtful and welcoming for everyone. It's a bar, so it's not a quiet place, but the quietest tables are in the back. Service was excellent.

Incredible food and a great atmosphere! Portions are huge and delicious. Some of the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had (and I am a mac and cheese connoisseur). We split the simple chicken and mac and cheese, which were plated separately and made us think we ordered two of each by accident! The chicken was tasty but the flavors were slightly too acidic. Would definitely come back to try the sandwiches.

My husband and I stopped here for dinner before the July 4th fireworks. We sat at the bar and enjoyed chatting with the bartender. It was busy as I expected it would be on a Friday night that was also a holiday. The space had a great vibe and very much seemed like a fun place to hang out at the end of the day or for a midday lunch. I ordered a Little Kahuna mocktail and it was delicious! Perfect combination of flavors - I could easily have ordered a 2nd. Both of us chose the Genesis sandwich. The description sounded so good! When it came out, I was excited to see that the chicken cutlet was on the thinner side, which I usually prefer. In this case, however, the chicken was so thin that it became tough when cooked. Hubby ate his, but I couldn't get past the tough and chewy texture. I did love the coleslaw, though. I am guessing this is a one-off experience due to how busy it was; other reviews were great and were what persuaded me to stop here. If I am in the area again, I would probably give it another try on a quieter day.

Was in town with my colleagues for a conference and we found this place. It was really crowded both inside and outside but the food was worth it. Our meals were fresh and flavorful. While the seating was tight & alil hard to get your server, the food came out quickly and portions were decent. Great lunch spot for sure!

I can’t speak more highly about this place! We travel to Boston 2-3 times a year and this is a must stop 1-2 times during our trip. The food is amazing, especially Rachel’s Hot Sister (literally get it every time). The concept is so unique and makes such a great place to eat. The one thing I wish that was different is that dogs are allowed on the patio, but that seems to be more of a Boston downside than this specific restaurant.

Amazing sandwiches and cocktails! We had the Fox (pork on ciabatta) and Lobster Roll and the Spritz Season. We highly recommend the former sandwich, especially for the ciabatta, and I loved the bitter and herby flavor of the drink. However, the lobster roll was not up to the standard of other restaurants.

Chinese restaurant
Noodle shop
Gene's Chinese Flatbread Cafe is a hidden gem in downtown Boston, offering a unique experience of Xi'an-style cuisine. The cafe is known for its hand-pulled noodles, flatbread sandwiches, and other authentic Chinese dishes. Customers can witness the fascinating process of noodle-making at the open kitchen. The star of the menu is Gene Wu's hand-tossed noodles, which are thick and chewy, served with various flavorful toppings such as cumin-scented lamb and spicy chili oil.
This place was so delicious! Especially great If you love hand pulled noodles and don’t eat/like pork, this is definitely the place for you! The lamb is cooked to perfection and the flavors are amazing. The hot sour noodle soup was my favorite. For a lighter option the cumin lamb noodles were great as well.
Sarah N — Google review
Waiting: 0min at lunch First dish: 7min The restaurant is called Flatbread, but don’t get it confused—it’s actually a flat noodle house, not a pizza spot. Prices are fantastic, with the basic noodle dishes starting under $9 and offering generous portions. I tried the Hot & Sour Hand-Pulled Noodle Soup, and it didn’t disappoint. The portion was solid, with plenty of flavorful marinated tender pork. The noodles themselves were thick, wide, and had an almost gummy chewiness that kept me hooked with every bite. The broth could use a bit more punch—maybe more saltiness and garlic for depth—but overall, it was still very enjoyable, especially at this price point. It’s set up more like an express-style restaurant, but you can still dine in comfortably. I can definitely see myself coming back here when the weather gets cold!

Food has fallen off a bit from the last. Noodle and lamb dish was really delicious. Noodles still great, but the sandwhich was really weak. Used to be one of the best bites in the city now it's just really solid. Will keep going back though.
Dara B — Google review
$9 for small portion for hand pulled noodles. …. Lamb is add on is $2 extra. . The spicy powder with sourness is major turn off. It is not balanced. . Even though the hand pulled itself is descent they would put some effort of the contiments and sauce. Ain’t visiting this place again ever !!
Ashwin A — Google review
Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed by Gene’s Flatbread. I was super excited by the photos and reviews on Google but this place felt completely misleading… first when we arrived. The service was very standoffish. Next, we ordered the spicy hand pulled noodles. The flavor profile is completely off, and there was barely any chili paste. It was almost all oil, and then the beef was not very well seasoned at all, and the noodles were soggy and cooked poorly. The dough tasted stale, and it didn’t really even taste like fresh hand pulled noodles at all.:( the veggies were undercooked and bunched up. The ratio is definitely off, and the noodles were huge, and they were really hard to cut, and they were not bouncing at all, and they were so much of meat which was great, but then I felt very overpowering because we thought that the noodles were the highlight of the show! We also ordered the lamb flatbread, but that was very, very dry and pretty unflavorful. Overall, we would not come back and were very disappointed by our experience.
Alice G — Google review
The name suggest this place is“authentic” when in reality it’s so far from even being called Chinese. Everything about the dish was just the cheapest replacement you can use. The meat was not suppose to be this shredded, irregular sized, dry. The noodle is 100% store bought and not even the good kind. Please don’t think this place is serving Chinese food. Will never come again and definitely not recommend anyone else to come. Everything single chair wobbles, seating is cramped while there’s so much space being blocked off. 不知道哪来的脸叫“老西安”
Jeff — Google review
This location really does not compare to the original Gene’s in Woburn. If you want a true Gene’s experience, visit the Woburn location. Yellow scallions leads me to think the ingredients weren’t fresh, noodles were inconsistent thicknesses and uncooked/overcooked, dish was very oily where that has never been my experience in Woburn. Lamb skewers seemed to be steamed, not cooked over charcoal or flame.

The Museum of Science, located in Boston's West End, is a renowned institution featuring interactive exhibits, an IMAX/3-D film theater, and a planetarium. With over 700 exhibits and home to an accredited zoo with over 100 animals, the museum offers educational experiences for children from third grade and up.
The Tesla coils light show was really fun and informative and they have showings throughout the day. It "sparked" a new interest in science for me. Warning: turn your volume down before you watch the Tesla coil videos I attached. 😂 Amazing views of the Charles River. I liked looking at the AI dog. A good portion of the museum is very kid-focused but the paintings and animal/natural history sculptures are fun for all ages. I also liked some information about blood pressure as well as how many calories I need to walk a mile. It was a fun visit!

Fabulous time for families! Purchase tickets in advance, planetarium is a must! This is a classic spot that makes for a quintessential childhood summer day, the duck boats are a fun addition. I recommend for 8+ or the duck boat tour aspect might not be the best (6 year old was bored). I am so glad they have maintained a great museum that feels nostalgic and growing with the times.

I photographed a wedding at the Museum of Science, and it was one of the most unique and memorable venues I’ve ever worked at. The ceremony took place in the Theater of Electricity — an incredible, immersive space that created such a dramatic and unforgettable atmosphere for the couple’s vows. Afterward, the reception was held under a tent along the Charles River, offering beautiful views and a perfect blend of city skyline and waterfront charm. The flow between locations was seamless, and the museum’s staff was organized, welcoming, and great to work with throughout the entire day. From a photography standpoint, the Museum of Science offers a truly one-of-a-kind experience. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that feels distinctive, fun, and full of character, this is an amazing choice. I loved photographing here. — Brett Crawford Photography

Had alot of fun learning about all types of things. Definitely check out the electricity show, that was awesome. We saw a show at the planetarium, very cool. The food court fish and chips was not great. The burger was pretty good though.

Have been to the Museum of Science so many times over the years, both as a teenager myself, and later with my very young children, then my children as teenagers, and then as an adult. It is very well laid-out. And it has something for absolutely every age group. One thing that I wish they would have more of is the traveling exhibits. I saw an exhibit on Leonardo da Vinci here that was exquisite! My other favorite exhibit was Pixar. And they had the traveling body exhibit. But, the last several times I have visited the museum, they did not have any special exhibits. And while I enjoy going to the museum, it becomes a little routine after a while if there is not some sort of special visiting exhibit. So please try to make those something that is consistently on rotation. Also, the last time we were there, they were going through renovations and so some exhibits were inaccessible. If they are going to be going through renovations, I think that they should give some sort of a discounted Admission until the renovations are complete. oh, tip for visitors, do not miss the electrical show with the Tesla coils. It’s delightful.

Great experience for a family with a toddler. Lots of fun things to look at and manipulate. The workers at the live demonstration and showing off skulls in the river area were great with a little kid - but there's a ton of stuff at the adult level too. Enjoyed it twice in the last year with more we haven't even seen! I would say that the cafeteria is decently priced compared to other local museums/attractions. Delicious falafel burger!

Bunker Hill Monument, a 221-foot granite obelisk, stands as a tribute to the Battle of Bunker Hill. Visitors can climb its 294 steps for panoramic views of the Boston skyline, Charlestown, Zakim Bridge, and Boston Harbor. The monument is part of the city's famous Freedom Trail and offers glimpses of other landmarks like the Old North Church and U.S.S. Constitution.
Beautiful monument to the historic event. Plus s great workout climbing the 294 steps to the top for the breathtaking view ( if the steps did not already take all your breath away!) One thing: they should consider banning backpacks on the narrow winding stairs, it's too tight

Very nice experience. Be prepared to conquer the 294 steps. Once you do, there are four nice views of the city. Outside the monument, there are interpretive markers explaining at least six events during the battle. Service dogs are allowed to climb the monument, and pets are not. My boy had little if any problems. I also recommend the museum directly across the street.

The monument it open to the public and you can climb the 294 steps at only the cost of your knees. It's a cool view of Boston and a great place to learn about American revolutionary history. Lovely spot on the Boston freedom trail.

Probably our favorite site along the Freedom Trail. You are able to climb up the monument, 294 steps, and see some great views from the top. We also listened to a short presentation about a few of the individuals involved at Bunker Hill and saw their musket be shot. Quite an ordeal of instructions in order to shoot. Don’t let the fact that this is a ways away from all the other sites, definitely a must see.

The grounds are very well kept and are run by the National Park Service. Bunker Hill is a must-see if in Boston but the visitors center and tower do close quite early... so make sure you time your visit properly.

What a great ending to the Freedom Trail walk! Our legs were tired but we still climbed the stairs to the top to enjoy the view. The rangers were informative and helpful. We even had the chance to watch men in revolutionary costumes load and “shoot” revolutionary style guns. My boys loved it!

Good leg workout and memorable experience climbing the 294 steps. Nice views from the top. It's small at the top so you can't stay for long on a busy day. Free to enter and don't forget to take your sticker at the end.

My cousins and I had so much fun running up the monument, after all 294 stairs, we reached stunning views, and cool little lookout area. It’s a tight staircase, with a railing and small windy steps. At the base, are some insightful rangers, there to talk about the history of the area. Recommend for anyone with a little extra energy!

The Prudential Center is a luxurious indoor mall featuring upscale department stores, over 75 specialty retailers, and a variety of dining options. Today we returned to Harvard for the college admissions info sessions and tour. For context, my husband went to grad school and I worked there back in the late 1990s so it holds a special place in our hearts. The campus is so peaceful and charming, and we loved learning more specifically about Harvard College. Highly recommend giving Harvard Yard a visit, even if just for learning about its history and enjoying its beautiful campus! We also paid a visit to the Harvard Art Museum and took a tour of the Munch exhibit (which leaves toward the end of July), which we also enjoyed.

It's Harvard and now that we've met the members of the community first hand, we can tell it will be an amazing experience for our son. A few snaps of Annenberg Hall and Wigglesworth.

The best community I have ever been a part of! It’s actually funny how Google Maps just randomly asked me to review Harvard, because I could write an entire book about my experience here. But, in short: Harvard is about the people you meet, and they are some of the nicest, most helpful, and most brilliant individuals you’ll ever meet in your life.

Visiting Harvard University was an unforgettable experience. The campus is absolutely beautiful, with a perfect mix of historic architecture and modern facilities. You can really feel the tradition and prestige everywhere you walk. I was impressed by how welcoming and helpful everyone was, from staff to students. There are so many fascinating places to explore, like the libraries, museums, and the famous Harvard Yard. Even as a visitor, you get a sense of the inspiring atmosphere and the passion for learning that defines this place. I highly recommend stopping by if you have the chance—it’s a landmark full of history, culture, and incredible energy.

Seafood restaurant
Select Oyster Bar, located in the Back Bay area of Boston, is a cozy spot known for its fresh bivalves and Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Chef Michael Serpa, who gained recognition at Neptune Oyster, has brought his expertise to this hotspot. The restaurant offers impressive plateauxs featuring local oysters, Maine lobster, scallop ceviche, and other delectable bites.
Select Oyster Bar: A Back Bay Gem Select Oyster Bar is an upscale seafood experience. The heavy Mediterranean-style influences shine through in their dishes and they focus on serving high-quality seafood with an excellent range of wines and spirits to complement the dishes. Their team is down-to-Earth, attentive, and experts on the menu. The meal started with a dozen small-medium sized Wellfleet, MA oysters that had a great taste of the sea on the finish. The yellowtail hamachi crudo while fresh, was a bit salty for my taste, and was accompanied by crispy ginger, cucumber, and radish for a great variety of textures. 🔥🔥🔥 The standout of the evening was dressed Maine Lobster with fines-herbes, lemon, warm butter. A great dish from start to finish, it had two slices of delicious bread to help soak up the last bits of buttery sauce 🔥🔥🔥 We enjoyed glasses of their Sancerre, Pinot noir, Bordeaux, and Brut rose, which were all quite tasty and went well with the dishes. Special thanks to our main bartender, John. His in-depth knowledge, attentiveness, and dry wit made for an entertaining dinner at the bar. Overall, a memorable 5-star experience for a special occasion and/or date night splurge.

It’s a more a bar styled restaurant which has limited indoor spaces. However, the waiters were very friendly and helpful. To time to time, they asked if we needed refills, and they cleaned the table right after each round of dishes. Very clean and tidy. As for the food, the oysters were great and fresh; the warm lobster roll (which by the way, is off the menu) was delicious and full of meat. It was market priced at $60 for a lobster roll and $60 for a lobster salad on that day. The bill automatically counts the 20% service tips. Overall, delicious food, great selection of wines, but slightly over-priced. Will come back for other dishes on the menu next time.

Absolutely outstanding experience. The service was warm and attentive, the food exceptionally fresh and flavorful, and the wine selection perfectly curated. A must-visit in Boston for seafood lovers.

Super kind staff (shoutout to Corey who spent time explaining the menu super thoroughly to me and chatting with me during a lovely solo lunch!). Superb fresh oysters and seafood, will become a new favorite of mine going forward. Highlights for me were The anchovy pan con tomate, which was just *chef’s kiss*, as well as the octopus.

We had a quick lunch at this place and you must order their lobster roll! It's $60 lobster sauté in butter and nicely put in this amazing soft and warm brioche roll which was made fresh every morning from the local bakery up in Cambridge along with fried homemade potato chips. We also had the hamachi crudo, which was good but the lemony passion fruit sauce was kinda throw me off. We also had kakamora daiquiri which was pretty good cocktail with the coconut rum and pineapple juice & the glengiddich on the rock. This restaurant also included their service tip on their receipt (20%) and they told you that when they handed you the receipt. Overall, this is a nice place for drinks and quick bite for us before the ball game.

Stopped in after reading all the great reviews and maybe expected too much. The setting might be meant to feel rustic but the metal chairs were uneven and the table felt cramped even for two and there were four of us. The food itself was fine but with everything else it just did not add up to a place I would return to. I can see why some people enjoy it but it was not for us.
Robert S — Google review
I so wanted to love this restaurant given its reputation, but I left disappointed. The ceviche was tasty enough but too cold suggesting it had just been pulled from the refrigerator (which it probably had been given that it appeared 3 minutes after our telling our server that we had been waiting over 30 minutes). However, the real disappointment was the Bouillabaisse. It looked nice enough - a good serving of shrimps, crab, mussels, salmon, and clams - but it was so bland. It desperately needed more salt and the saffron was non-existent. It's a shame because the restaurant is visually appealing and the staff were charming (not to mention loyal - several have worked there since its inception). The oysters looked great, albeit at $4.25 a pop very expensive, and the other mains people were having looked good. We might just have ordered poorly.
Andrew R — Google review
Select Oyster Bar is one of Boston’s best spots for seafood. The freshly shucked oysters were perfect - cold, briny, and clean. The avocado toast was surprisingly refined, with fresh seafood and citrus cutting through the richness. Both the hamachi and tuna crudo were bright and beautifully balanced. The Arctic char was cooked just right—crispy skin, buttery inside and the Spanish octopus was tender with great char flavor. Service was sharp, the wine list thoughtful, and while the space gets a bit loud, it adds to the buzz. Overall, a fantastic dinner—great food, great energy, and well worth it!

Greek restaurant
Wine bar
Krasi is a trendy spot in Back Bay that offers contemporary Greek cuisine and an extensive selection of Greek wines. The restaurant boasts an industrial-chic ambiance and a menu featuring sharing-sized plates like whipped feta with roasted red peppers, grilled octopus with carob honey, and lamb osso bucco. It also offers one of the largest collections of Greek wine in the United States. The knowledgeable staff can help you pair your meal with the perfect wine from their exclusively Greek wine list.
Three of us ordered a late lunch on a perfect Sunday afternoon, ordering four medium-size dishes to split. We liked each of the dishes we selected. The service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was slammed—and the server kept our waters topped off. Would definitely recommend.

We went here for dinner and overall had a lovely time. It’s an upscale Greek restaurant, perfect for a celebratory meal or if you’re in the mood for a fine dining experience. The food was flavorful – I really enjoyed the shrimp, and the grilled chicken was delicious too. The serving sizes were on the smaller side though, so just something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a hearty meal. They gave us a water pitcher for the table, which I appreciated. There’s no cocktail menu, but their wine selection is good. The ambiance feels refined, and even the bathrooms reflect that – they were very clean and stocked with Aesop handwash, which added a nice touch. Overall, if you’re looking for an elegant spot with quality food and a celebratory vibe, this is a great choice. Just don’t come expecting large portions.

Phenomenal!!! We are a party of five. Tried multiple dishes Tiropita Rolls, Tzatziki, Lois’s, Kasseri, Beets, Kleftiko, Matsata, Kotopoulo Lemonati (the warm Cypriot salad is to die for) & Chicken souvla which was very succulent. We paired it with a bottle of Femina by Douloufakis winery from Crete and a bottle of Xynisteri from my friends at Tsiakkas winery in Pelendri, Cyprus. Finished it off with 3 desserts the portokalopita is just superb, Greek coffee and commandaria Cypriot dessert wine. I just can’t say enough good words about the work and the love that goes into each dish. I worked five years at a Greek restaurant in New Jersey and I was so disappointed at the end of the owners approach and mentality. Krasi is just a level of its own, it goes up there on the pantheon of best meals I’ve ever had. Euxaristo poli for everything🇨🇾🇬🇷

Krasi is bar none the best restaurant in Boston, particularly for vegetarians. Go for a full bottle of wine, you won’t regret - served elegantly and they have an amazing wine cabinet. A great place to try something new. The Rolls were actually an underrated star of the show, with their doughy inside presenting bread in a new way. As two vegetarians we were thrilled to find an upscale restaurant with a variety of options, and have been taken on a new, authentic flavor experience with everyone tried. And of course, the service - Krasi is the perfect place to go for a celebration because they will treat you right and make it not just delicious, but a welcoming wonderful experience. Drink Highlights: every orange wine we’ve tried there Food highlights: rolls, cheeses, eggplant chips, hitsipi dip

The food at this restaurant is genuinely fantastic; every dish was flavorful and expertly prepared. It's a shame the service didn't match the quality of the kitchen. Our server seemed bothered by every request we made, and when I asked for a side of goat cheese, it was so difficult that I just told him to forget about it. The one bright spot was the bartender, who was cheerful and provided excellent service.

The most amazing Greek food ever. Creative, unique, so delicious I will be dreaming about it until the next visit. The table side taziki and the spicy whipped feta were out of this world. The cheese bread was delicious, and save room for dessert! The sesame ice cream was the best ice cream we have tried! Ever. Trust me. Just make the reservation already. Atmosphere and service are top notch. Highly recommend.

Excuse the photo quality. I only remembered to snap a few shots halfway through the meal. I brought my family here for dinner on a Tuesday night, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. We didn’t have a reservation, so it was a good thing we arrived within an hour of the restaurant opening. We were lucky enough to get a table outside. Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal. I’m so sorry I didn’t catch her name. Since my family and I aren’t too familiar with Greek cuisine, her knowledge and guidance were incredibly helpful, especially when it came to selecting the wine. There were three of us and boy was I full. 6 plates were definitely just the right amount. We got TZATZIKI (classic dip with crispy pita chips), HORTA (the Swis-chard-picked-bean combo with tomatoes was immaculate), MARATHOPITA (it was unlike anything I’ve ever had before. The scent of lavender and the taste of honey was so special), MAGIATIKO (my sashimi lover heart was very pleased), GIOUVETSI (the texture of the braised lamb was incredibly tender. It was the perfect pairing with the orzo, which was coated in a rich, velvety tomato sauce), and lastly PAIDAKIA (my mom downed the pork chops in seconds). There was also a board of freshly cut vegetables (carrots, cucumbers, celery sticks, etc.) for the dip. For dessert we tried the PORTOKALOPITA (the orange phyllo cake was soaked with just right the amount of syrup. The manouri ice cream was tasty and it was primarily made of cheese derived from sheep or goat milk. My brother LOVED it). To combat the sweetness, I got wild chamomile tea and my mom got lemongrass tea. If you’ve made it to the end of this review, thank you for reading! Can you tell we absolutely loved this place? Most of the dishes we ordered were gluten-free friendly (with the exception of the lamb, which was coated in breadcrumbs, and of course, the pita chips). Since my mom is gluten-free, it was great to see her enjoy so much of the menu. Overall, this meal felt like a true experience. My tastebuds were completely intrigued. The flavors we tasted tonight were definitely unexpected in a good way:)) 100/10 would recommend ✨

Sapporo Ramen & Sushi @Canal Side Food Hall

Ramen restaurant
Sapporo Ramen is a popular Japanese-style noodle spot located in Porter Square, offering a cozy and no-frills dining experience. The restaurant has two locations, one at H Mart in Central Square and the other at The Sears Building in Porter Square. Their signature dishes include the spicy miso ramen and hot and sour ramen, both of which are known for their flavorful broth. Sapporo's 10-hour chicken broth is particularly noteworthy for its rich flavor profile.
My new go-to spot for casual Japanese takeout bowls. Since Sapporo Ramen relocated from its Porter Square location to this new food hall, I’ve stopped by a couple of times for a quick meal. Maybe it’s my bias toward Japanese food, but among the options here, Sapporo stands out as the most solid choice. Among the rice bowls, the Curry Pork Katsu is my favorite. Back in their Porter Square days, the pork katsu was underwhelming—often dry and over-cooked. But here, it’s been given a much-needed upgrade: crispier and juicier. A close second is their Beef Gyudon. The beef is not only well-seasoned but also has just the right amount of fat to keep each bite rich and satisfying. Unfortunately, their ramen remained unchanged from what I remembered at Porter Square. While the noodles were perfectly cooked, the broth still lacked the depth and richness. I did, however, find the Spicy Miso ramen to have a bit more flavor complexity than the house ramen. Much like their HMart location, this spot also offered pre-packaged sushi, and for the price, it was a solid option. The best time to grab one was around noon, as they’re usually made fresh in the morning—by dinner, the quality can be hit or miss. The prices are only slightly higher than what you’d find in grocery stores, so it was a reasonably priced choice for a quick sushi fix. Favorites: Pork Katsu Curry, Beef Gyudon Solid: Sushi packs (if made fresh), Spicy Miso Ramen, Chicken Katsu Curry Decent: House Ramen, Gyoza, Chicken Karaage bowl Poor: Takoyaki

I haven’t been to CSG for a while and love how they have revamped the food court space into a nice and comfortable food hall. I instantly gravitated towards Sapporo Ramen and we ordered some ramen, katsu curry, sushi, and poke bowl. We really enjoyed the miso ramen because the broth was just so rich! The katsu curry was also super flavorful. The service was great and food delicious, you’d like them.

Mannnn that was bad. The pork dumplings were not good at all. I gave most of them to my dog. He’ll eat anything. The ramen soup was worse than the dumplings. No flavor, actually bad flavor. You know how much this awful meal cost including a soda, $40+ 🤯 The restaurant is in the food court at the end of the shopping center along with other eateries. The directions to get there could have been better. I don’t recommend this place at all. Nice people but awful food. 🤢
Brayden A — Google review
I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen, but it was really disappointing. The broth was bland with no trace of miso flavor, and the pork slices were cut far too thick. I’ve had ramen at many places, and unfortunately, this was the worst experience so far.
Bhawana A — Google review
I had a disappointing experience at Sapporo Ramen. The woman taking orders was incredibly rude, making the interaction so uncomfortable that I almost left without ordering. Despite this, I decided to give it a chance and ordered the teriyaki tofu bowl. When I asked what vegetables were included, I was told “cabbage,” but the bowl came with lettuce and a slice of tomato—completely unexpected and not a good pairing in my opinion. For $17, the portion size was small, and the bowl felt overpriced for what I received. When I requested spice, I was told I’d need to pay an additional $2 for a tiny packet of hot sauce, though thankfully one of the friendly male staff members gave it to me without charge. The men working there had excellent customer service, which was a stark contrast to the woman at the counter. As for the food, the teriyaki sauce on the tofu was decent, but the tofu lacked texture, and the lettuce was the only crunchy element—which didn’t work well with the dish. Adding some thoughtful, textured components would really improve the experience. Overall, while the staff (aside from the woman at the counter) was kind and accommodating, the poor service, underwhelming dish, and high price point made this a disappointing visit. I wouldn’t recommend the tofu bowl and would hesitate to return unless there were significant improvements.

I stopped by here for lunch since I was staying nearby and it was better than expected for mall food court. I got the beef gyudon bowl and the pork dumplings. The flavors were exactly what I wanted for the meal. The beef was cooked well and soft. The pork dumplings were hot and crispy and the dipping sauce had good flavor. Quick and efficient service. I really enjoyed my meal.

Chinese restaurant
Dumpling House is a lively spot in Cambridge offering a wide variety of handmade dumplings and other Chinese classics, along with lunch specials. Despite its unassuming exterior, this Chinese restaurant offers jaw-dropping and affordable menu items. You can indulge in 10 dumplings for just over $10, making it an excellent choice for those craving delicious dumplings without breaking the bank.
Stopped in for lunch with a group of three based on strong reviews and glad we did. We kicked things off with scallion pancakes (crispy and tasty) and hot & sour soup, which was fine but my least favorite of the bunch. From there we dove into the dumplings—one fried and two soup dumpling varieties—and all were delicious. The fried dumplings were the star of the meal, perfectly crisp and flavorful. We also shared Chinese broccoli (simple but really well done) and the salt & pepper shrimp, which had great flavor but definitely packed some heat—so be warned if spice isn’t your thing. Overall, this spot delivered exactly what we were hoping for: solid dumplings, a few extra dishes that impressed, and a satisfying lunch. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I visited this restaurant for Sunday dinner with two friends. I arrived a bit early, and since the rest of my party hadn’t arrived yet, the host asked me to wait until everyone was there, but they took my name in the meantime. Once my friends showed up, we were seated right away. The place was packed and buzzing with energy, which gave it a lively, welcoming vibe. We started with several appetizers—crispy spicy fried chicken, fried calamari, fried fish, and pan-fried dumplings—all of which were flavorful and filling. By the time we shared a plate of pan-fried chicken noodles, we were already quite full and ended up taking leftovers home. From what I saw at other tables, the entrées and other dumpling varieties look just as tempting. I’m definitely planning to return to try more of their dumplings next time.

Delicious. Just beware of any dish that has any amount of “sweet” component. My General Gau’s chicken was “sweet and sour” and they used honey - totally fine but it was a TON of honey. After 10 minutes, it was hard to pick a piece of chicken up because the honey had become so viscous. Dumplings were great, came out hot and crispy, and they were generous with the filling.

This is a great place to get some good chinese food in Cambridge,MA. I absolutely loved the pork soup dumplings and chicken dumplings as well. We also got roasted duck and a Tofu dish to try-both were also delicious. Lots of students at Harvard recommend to come here and try the dumplings and they were absolutely right. Price also seems affordable and food quantity is sufficient for groups of 4-6 people as well.

It pains me to give this place a one star review but I am! I spent $65 on a dinner order and had it delivered to my hotel at the airport. It should be quite obvious I need all utensils and napkins. They gave me one fork, one spoon and one napkin. With the amount of food I ordered they should know this order was for several people. That's the first thing that set me off. Now onto the food. I ordered F2. Kung Pao Chicken with Peanut F2.宫保鸡 K. They delivered this with no rice and nowhere does it state during the ordering process that rice isn't included. Who would eat this entree without rice? This is absolutely ridiculous. I do have to say the food I did eat tasted so good but when you have to share a fork and spoon and not have rice, we really were not able to enjoy this meal. Such a waste of money.

Best thing we had was the house fried rice. Dumplings were ok. Chicken wings were plain. We waited 10 minutes before a server came and asked what we wanted to order and it's only because I told her after she took the couples order next to us when they had just come in.

Assembly Row, located in Somerville just a short drive from downtown Boston, has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past two decades. Once an area associated with heavy industry and urban decline, it has been revitalized into a vibrant commercial destination. This large-scale mixed-use development features offices, residential spaces, shops, dining options, and a revitalized waterfront.
One of the best places in the city! There's a ton of stores and restaurants to go to, and the whole feel is amazing! It's also right off the orange line with walkable stretches between stores. I definitely will come back here many, many times to explore more stores and restaurants!

I love walking around the area, exploring its wide variety of stores, and then taking a break to have lunch at one of the many great restaurants and bars. The diversity of shops means there’s always something new to discover, whether you’re looking for fashion, home goods, or unique finds. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to spend the day. It’s also a great place to catch a movie at the cinema, adding even more to the experience. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit after a nice casual stroll through campus. Easy flow to follow for each floor. Not crowded which gives you plenty of time to view each piece of your choosing with graceful time. IMO a top 10 attraction of Boston for art and culture. Recommended with enthusiasm.

The Harvard Art Museums (comprised of the Fogg, Busch-Reisinger, and Arthur M. Sackler Museums) are an absolute must-visit for any art enthusiast traveling through Cambridge. Housed in a single, elegantly designed building, the museum offers a truly comprehensive journey across continents and centuries, all easily explored across its three impressive floors of gallery space. What immediately stands out is the sheer volume and diversity of the collection. Visitors can seamlessly transition from masterpieces of European Impressionism and Post-Impressionism (including notable works by Monet and Van Gogh) to compelling contemporary installations and significant works from Asia and North Africa. Every floor introduces a new focus, ensuring a dynamic and enriching experience for all tastes. For our group, the undisputed highlight was the Ancient Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Art collection, particularly the magnificent display of Greek art found on the upper floors. The museum’s holdings in this area are world-class, encompassing a vast array of sculptures, coins, and, most notably, a breathtaking selection of painted pottery. We were thoroughly impressed by the depth of this section, which showcases everything from early Greek marble figures to meticulously decorated red-figure and black-figure vases depicting mythological scenes and ancient daily life. The curators have done a superb job organizing this material, providing a rare and valuable glimpse into the foundational history of Western civilization. The combination of the museum’s comprehensive global scope and the exceptional quality of its ancient collection makes it an essential destination. Whether you're drawn to Renaissance masters or the enduring legacy of the Hellenic world, the Harvard Art Museums promise a visually stunning and intellectually satisfying visit. Free for all!

An absolute gem of a museum! Free admission for everyone (not sure if this is true always or just on the day I happened to go), and just a few small stories that can be explored within a single day. The gift shop is cute and has a good selection of post cards, too!

The only negative is we had to drop somebody off at the curb to go inside for a $23 parking permit before we could use the 52 Oxford St. parking garage, even though there is a person at the booth to get into the garage. Why couldn’t we just purchase it right there?

What a beautifully curated and wonderfully kept and updated gem of a museum!!!!!? Some incredibly rare works of art here and how lucky are we that access to all the galleries is absolutely free every single day?!?? Exhibits change and you’re constantly falling in love with artists over and over again because you see so many facets of their artists careers just by exploring the galleries here. Ever changing while the rotate their collections and allow works to rest. Fantastic gift shop that has upscale souvenirs that have extreme sentiment and value uniquely exclusive to the museum one of the best museums I have been to.

We unexpectedly stumble onto a gem of a museum while visiting Harvard. The facility is very clean with public restrooms, seating area, and free admission to tour their 3+ stories of art exhibits. This is a great spot to unwind and be inspired if it’s not your final destination.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Boston Public Library - Central Library is a historic gem with grand Renaissance-style architecture and murals by John Singer Sargent. As the oldest municipally-funded lending library in the U.S., it boasts the iconic McKim Building, designed by renowned architect Charles Follen McKim. Visitors can enjoy free tours, lectures, and exhibits throughout the year, including Art & Architecture Tours that reveal hidden treasures like tile arches by Rafael Guastavino. The library also houses the Norman B.
I visited the library on July 3rd eager to experience this place I had heard so much about and also see their many copies of the Declaration of Independence. The library itself is stunning. I could easily have spent an entire day there, but my travel companion was not nearly as interested as I was. It is a bit of a maze to wind your way through. There are famous murals, but tracking them down took several wrong turns and guidance from staff to locate. I cannot get over how magnificent the space was, from the historic architecture and spaces to the more modern sections. I could easily have brought a book to read outside to the Courtyard and spent an afternoon there soaking in the sun. If I have an opportunity to return, I would very much like to have lunch at the Tearoom. There is also a café near the main entrance and next to the set/stage they use for their podcast. The copies of the Declaration were the highlight for me. As a history nerd, I cannot fully describe what it meant to spend time in that room. It is an experience I highly recommend for anyone who is similarly interested in American history. I highly recommend a visit here. There is something for everyone.

I’ve had the honor of photographing a wedding at The Boston Public Library, and it really is a dream wedding venue to photograph at. The courtyard, the grand staircases, the way the light falls through those historic windows, it all feels straight out of a storybook. The team there is wonderful to work with too, making such an iconic space feel warm and personal.

We had read that this was a must visit in Boston, and I will definitely agree with that. It is a public library, but the building is very beautiful, and there were a lot of photo ops. Definitely worth visiting to see the beautiful architecture. There’s even a little bar/restaurant in the basement, which was very cool.

The Boston Public Library is a true cultural treasure of the city—an impressive historic building that blends stunning architecture, peaceful reading rooms, and a rich collection of books. Its elegant interior, courtyard with a fountain, and quiet atmosphere make it the perfect place for studying, inspiration, or simply relaxing. It’s one of those locations that leaves a lasting impression on every visitor..

BEAUTIFUL! The coolest architecture, light fixtures, study rooms — this is every book lover’s dream. They had an art exhibit, free public restrooms, and floors and rooms full of books and places to sit and read. It’s a must-see if you’re in the city.
Ashley F — Google review
The Boston Public Library absolutely blew my mind. Walking through it felt more like exploring an art museum than a library—the architecture, murals, and details are just stunning. Yet there were still plenty of people cozied up with books, which gave it this really peaceful, lived-in feel. What got me the most was realizing the original Boston library on Boylston was built just before Oregon even became a state. As an Oregon girl, that fact had me wandering around in total awe. It’s history, art, and beauty all in one stop. A must-see!
Filina M — Google review
Third oldest public library in the US . If you come to Boston it should be in your checklist building to visit . Stunning architecture and great romantic patios inside made this building a jewel. If you like interiors , this place is rich in wall paintings, sculpture, stones . Etc
Rodolfo E — Google review
The Boston Public Library is absolutely beautiful both inside and out. It was established in 1848. It contains approximately 24 million items making it the third largest public libray in the United States. Only the federal Library of Congress and New York Public Library are larger. Additionally ot is the first free municipal library in the United States. Other historical firsts for the Boston Public Library are it was the first Library to lend books, first to have a children's room for children's literature, and first to have a branch library system.

Castle Island, located just a short distance from the city of Boston, is home to the historic Fort Independence and offers a range of activities for visitors. The site features a beach, picnic areas, and jogging paths, making it an ideal spot for outdoor recreation. Additionally, visitors can embark on scenic cruises that sail past major landmarks such as Boston Fish Pier and Moakley Federal Courthouse.
Castle Island has something for everyone. Great place to enjoy the outdoors. There is lots of parking but I am sure on a nice sunny day the parking might be more difficult. There are lots of sidewalks and different trails to explore. The park is dog friendly, kid friendly, and has a playground as well. Absolutely gorgeous views of the water. I can't wait to go back on a sunny day and read a book.

An amazing half a day trip. Can walk from Downtown and it took me 1.5 hours. Tried soft serve at the Sullivan’s and it was simply amazing. A lot of sight seeing historical places there ans with a good weather, it’s an amazing picnic spot. It was not very crowded. But 9, 11 serve the locations. Lot of parking spots available as well.
Gowtham S — Google review
Nice outing on a sunny day. I'm not from Boston, so it gave my family and I something to do. I liked learning about the history of the fort and seeing how well maintained the grounds are. There is a playground and scenic view of the bay. The only downside: The water doesn't look good for swimming- but if that's not your intention, it's a great place to visit for a few hours.
Matthew D — Google review
We passed by on a sunny day and headed for Fort independence. The views around Castle Island were quite nice - roads were sufficiently large enough with sufficient seating by the islands. Many people were jogging around - there should be a divider for faster people

Family (and pet) friendly place. Walk around the lagoon, watch airplanes at Logan and boats in Boston Harbor from the fishing dock on the other side of the fort. Hot dogs and fried clams, and a great fish sandwich at Sullivan’s, and don’t forget the ice cream.

Great place to visit, multiple historic markers and tributes. Great views and locations for embracing history and quality time for family and friends. Great for adults and children.
Luis D — Google review
Saw a guy wearing a Minutemen uniform saying a settlement needs our help. Jokes aside, I went there on a relatively hot summer day for a walk, and the cool air coming from the ocean is refreshing. The walk around the castle and seeing the planes landing and taking off from a distance is engaging.
Dutch — Google review
Castle island has always been a great place to go to since my boys were little. Just to walk around, watch the planes coming in n going out of Boston Logan airport, people watch, walk along the water & fishing pier, watch the boats n ferries go by, exercise, picnic or even explore Bostons history. Lunch, snack or have dinner at the famous “Sullys” Sullivans restaurant is a Staple here in Boston n known for its excellent clam chowder, lobster rolls, clam strips & clam belly meals as well as a decent size menu for everyone. It is a walk up window than you can eat your meal on one of the picnic tables or along the walkway where there is plenty of grass to enjoy a picnic. The young adults that work there are very polite n helpful. Make sure you grab yourself an old fashioned milkshake or Raspberry Line Ricky to go along with your meal n an ice cream cone to top it off. Beware… the only waitstaff they have to clear the tables is…. The seagulls🤣 You can also order online rather than standing in line. Catering is available as well for your private functions. It is dog friendly as well.

Restaurant
Sullivan's Castle Island restaurant is a cheap and easy option for a summer picnic in South Boston. The standout item on the menu is the $2.60 steamed hot dog with mustard, relish, and onions - perfect for rolling back to your friends on the nearby Southie Rivieria beaches.
It's Castle Island..what better way to enjoy your time here than to stop and check out Sullivan's! Don't worry about the line, it moves fast, just like the staff here. Lots of Sullivan swag to purchase upon entrance. The menu is vast; lots of options to choose from. Staff is very friendly here too!
Jimmy V — Google review
Too busy for my taste. Hard to find a table to sit. I had to walk a bit to find an available bench in the park. The staff were kind, but they were a bit confused with the orders. I ordered baked fish with rice and got baked fish with French fries instead. The prices are reasonable.
Beta F — Google review
Grabbed Sullivan’s one night for a quick dinner. We had a couple double cheeseburgers (those were good), a few hot dogs (nothing special), a chili and cheese dog (tasted good but the bun was too soggy, still good though), and some onion rings (would not get those again). Went back for some dessert and had a couple of shakes. Service was okay, not friendly and they closed early…said they were open until 8:30 but actually closed 15 minutes before that, we almost didn’t get to order our dessert because of that.

Don’t get the lobster roll unless you really like lobster; classic food doesn’t look like the picture problem; at a whoppin’ $24, the sandwich was way too small. Fried pickles were top yummy. Burgers were good too. Outdoor dining only.

Came in expecting high prices for an attraction location and got blown away with how reasonable it was. Food was super good. Best lobster roll I've had for a reasonable price in a long time. Food also came out super quick for it being a busy day. Great place and great prices for a beautiful location.

The food was amazing!!!! The double cheese burgers were to die for. We also got homemade onion rings that were heavenly. The service was fast and the food was hot. We were a party of 4 and we all highly recommend it!

I mean, its OK. I was greeted by a rather rude cashier, but thats OK. Food came semi-quickly, which was cool. Fish sandwich was kind of smoothed, but it was cooked well. Crispy and flakey. On the smaller side. The Packaged tarter was bleh. I prefer homemade. Nothing special to write home about..

Seafood restaurant
Saltie Girl is a charming raw bar located in Back Bay, Boston. The restaurant offers a variety of seafood dishes, including tinned fish options. The menu features fresh-shucked oysters, torched salmon belly with charred avocado, smoked fish, seafood-topped toasts, and a butter-drenched warm lobster roll.
Saltie girl was packed when we went, but we had a reservation so we didn’t have to wait. We were seated inside—patio seating didn’t seem to be available for reservations. The atmosphere was lively, though a little too crowded to have an easy conversation. The food, however, was really good and beautifully presented! The oysters were fresh and delicious, and we ordered a variety of cocktails to sample—honeydew, passion fruit, and grapefruit—all of which were excellent. The highlight was definitely the lobster rolls, which were perfectly prepared. Overall, a really good experience with great food and drinks.
Sharanya S — Google review
Saltie Girl completely lived up to the hype. The lobster roll was buttery and perfectly balanced; One of the best I’ve ever had. The oysters were incredibly fresh and paired with great sauces. The atmosphere is lively but intimate, making it a perfect spot for seafood lovers. Service was attentive, and everything came out at the perfect pace. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Boston. Definitely worth the stop!

Saltie Girl was highly recommended when I was researching “best warm lobster roll” in Boston! It definitely lived up to the hype. We came in for lunch (after being denied the day before because we didn’t have a reso - recommend making one online!). We started with the cinnamon bun appetizer. It was great!! Then, my boyfriend got the warm lobster roll and he loved it. It was beautifully plated too! I got the fish and chips - so tasty. Very crunchy on the outside, but tender fish inside! The atmosphere was very cool, but the tables were so close together. The couple next to us started to strike up conversation because we were basically sitting at the same table… But everything else was great! We’ll be back!
Taylor B — Google review
We had a great time in Saltie Girl. The shrimp cocktail is AMAZING. Highly recommend it. I had the smoked salmon bagel which was nice but I expected more from the bagel itself. My sister had the lobster roll which she enjoyed. We had a reservation and still had to wait about 20 min to get seated. Also getting the waiters attention to order food was a challenge but then everything went smoothly.

This is THE dining experience! True, authentic, and full of great food. The place looks amazing so chic. Even the front desk ladies look like super models. The staff are so welcome and nice, the food tastes like heaven. They could squeeze us in on the weekend and we are so grateful. The caviar dessert is so creative. Their cocktails are good and served creative as well. This is THE place and worth the hype.

We made a reservation at Salty Girl after seeing so many people on TikTok recommending it....we were NOT disappointed! The restaurant looks gorgeous and the atmosphere was great. We got great service from the girls at the front and the waitress at our table. We ordered the lobster roll and the truffle fries. Both were fantastic. The bread was warm and soft, the lobster was tasty and the truffle fries were excellent. We then shared the chocolate chip cookie with a little vanilla ice cream. The cookie was tasty and the ice cream was too. I would definitely add this to my list of must-do things in Boston.
Pall P — Google review
Atmosphere inside was lovely although we made a reservation but got put in the back bar. I would specify you want to sit in the front dining area to get full effect of Saltie Girl Vibe. The SWEETBOY SWEETBUNS were out of this world! I got the lobster and waffles and they were pretty amazing! My daughter got steak and eggs and said it was beyond On Point. Our friends both got Lobster Rills and said they were fabulous!
C L — Google review
Excellent staff, great menu with seafood focus with classics and specials, lovely ambience. We went to dinner both times but would recommend making a reservation unless you have a small party of 2 and you might be lucky with bar seating. I think their drink menu is simple and delicious. Would recommend anything seafood related and try something new!

Brunch restaurant
The Friendly Toast is a trendy hangout known for its quirky surroundings and all-day breakfast options, including vegan choices. One of their standout dishes is the Chicken & Waffles, where they put a unique spin on the classic favorite by using a fried-chicken batter made with Rice Krispies, giving it a distinct texture and satisfying crunch.
One meal here can easily set you back $40 (including the tip) which is ridiculous, but I can’t lie, this place lives up to the hype. I loved every bite of my food. Even though I’m not a fan of pancakes, I devoured them because they were so delicious! The pancakes were nice and golden with the crispy edges on the outside and fluffy softness on the inside. They were flavorful as well! I loved being able to taste the vanilla. I always thought that I didn’t like home fries until today. These were the first home fries I’ve ever loved! No complaints about the eggs either 😍 I loved that they were generous with the cheddar cheese on top. I wouldn’t order the cinnamon toast latte again because it just tastes like milk, coffee, and cinnamon-that’s all. It could’ve used way more flavor and cereal on top or even on the side. S/o to my waitress Kenia who was very sweet! Just a heads up: the wait was about 45 minutes to be seated. It’s worth it and I look forward to coming back to try more on their menu. This a really cutesy summer spot ☀️
Jasmine — Google review
This was my first time in Boston and after a long flight I was starving! They did not disappoint. I ordered the "Northern Attitude Breakfast" which I loved, especially the pancakes. The atmosphere was lively and busy on a Tuesday late morning. Our waiter was helpful with suggestions, telling us the seasonal items, and super attentive. I would come back here.
Celeste — Google review
Nate was wonderful and super attentive, sharing what is new and popular on the menu. I had a maple bourbon cold brew coffee, breakfast taquitos and a side of bacon. You MUST try their made in house Maple Tumeric sauce, it’s not spicy hot but the right balance of spice and sweetness and perfect to drizzle on eggs and bacon for some kick. Also had the Arnold Pama as I had time to kill and a 2nd beverage never hurts when walking a beautiful city. The ambiance is like being in a time capsule of the best memories, Goonies poster on the wall, retro sparkly diner booths and chairs, community mental health wall posts to boost your spirits. The bartender/server was upbeat and took care of each person. This location has an “A” rating and is clean, easy to access and the front doormen are personalable.

I went in September, but I'm just now getting around to write this review! First off, shout out to Vanel, my server! He was friendly, attentive, and just overall a positive vibe to have for brunch! I sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful sun on a semi-chilly day. Food ordered: mimosa flight, blueberry pancake, breakfast eggrolls, an 'appley every after mimosa, and one other drink but I don't recall. ALL were delicious and I recommend each of them. A great brunch place I'd love to return to!

Amy was a fantastic host! thank you the space was packed out from the time i entered till the time i left, shows you how good a place this is. food and drinks are all great, warm service and nice deco… if the weather was any cooler, id love to have a seat outdoors 😍 highly recommended to check them out

OK but I don't understand why this place is so popular. Came here on a Saturday morning around 8 AM and found it to be already packed. The waitress was very friendly and the food average. We waited quite a bit of time before we got our food. They were very efficient seating everyone and when we left, there were people waiting outside to be seated. I have to rate low on the funky smell in the bar area downstairs; it smelled halfway between cleaning solution and grease. It's like they tried to clean by just throwing on cleaning solution without scrubbing and rinsing with water. The smell definitely impinged on my enjoyment.
Bill J — Google review
There are multiple locations and always a wait time, best way is to add your name to the waitlist 15-20 mins ahead of your arrival. It can be done on yelp or restaurant website. Server was very pleasant, checked back on us couple of times and refilled coffees. Food was good for the price, pretty generous food portions.

Kelly's Roast Beef

New England restaurant
If you're craving a taste of New England, look no further than Kelly's Roast Beef. This beloved fast-food gem has been delighting visitors since 1951, nestled near Revere Beach. Known for its mouthwatering roast beef sandwiches served on perfectly griddled buns, Kelly's also offers an array of delicious options like lobster rolls, fried seafood, and crispy salads.
First time impression. The roast beef sandwich is a touch dry. You will need to add something to moisten the meat such as bbq sauce or mayo. The cheese steak was good. The slaw was really good in my opinion as I enjoy a crunchy slaw with a vinager tang. The interior has many historical pictures on the walls so it was entertaining. The tables were clean and the inside was mostly tidy. It is the typical counter service. Much of the industry is moving to this ordering model. I really miss the distinction between fast food and sit down.
Bradley N — Google review
Portions are small and prices are high. I guess to be expected but was shocked at how high! A fisherman's plate with like 6 scallops and 5 medium shrimp and handful of fries was around $32. Never again! This is the honest photo of the plate I got that day.
Rachelle R — Google review
We placed a takeout order and were very disappointed with both the service and the quality. The estimated pickup time was 9:30, but the order wasn’t ready until around 9:50. On top of that, the food was prepared completely differently than what we requested—no sauce on the side, among other issues. The roast beef sandwich was especially disappointing; it was just sliced beef drenched in an unpleasant sauce. Overall, we were very let down by both the experience and the food
Hani S — Google review
Food was delicious, my friend who lives here suggested getting the onion bun roast beef done 3 way (sauce) and it hit the mark. Fries were plentiful and fried pickles, yummy! Pricing was a little extra is why I gave 4 stars, seeing as my husband got a large roast beef and we got the small but the meat looked the same on all. We would totally be back. Great choice.
Cierra G — Google review
Kelly's Roast Beef has been a New England institution. I am sad to say with the prices they now charge and the amount of food on the plate it's no longer worth it. Although the food was very good. And the staff was a pleasure to deal with. The shrinkage is to much to take. I'm sorry Kelly's but I will no longer be a fan.
Markusj — Google review
My husband and I shared the Seafood Plate Combo which included fish, shrimp, and scallops...for $36.50 + soda and taxes. Kelly's have definitely fallen off. I asked for the fish to be pan seared instead of fried. Take a look at the pictures. Unbelievable for the prices they charge...
Seanette M — Google review
After going to kellys for over 20 years i think this will be my final disappointing meal here. Anyone from boston area who ordered cheese fries with bacon will look at this and immediately see drop in quality. Imagine spending $21 and its the saddest clumps of fries with bacon you can count.

Ordered a double cheeseburger dinner with Onion rings and fries received this! No onion rings some fries Soggy some stale. SMH Downhill since 05… update 09/27/25 laughable that I thought things would get better after my last visit. Second photo is from today I might as well had told them to dump water all over the fries package them up. The fries are soggy saturated with grease making a clay consistency. At this point they just don’t care. Convenience of location is the only thing keeping them open.
