Mayfield Dinner Theatre

Performing arts theater
Buffet restaurant
The Mayfield Dinner theatre is a luxurious performing arts theater that features Broadway-style musicals and other shows. It is the perfect place to enjoy an intimate show with your significant other. The dinner buffet offers a variety of dishes to choose from, making it the perfect meal for any occasion.
We attended the production of Nashville Music City. We all found the show to be very professional and the performers excellent. The show had a nice mix of storytelling and songs showing the development of country music from the 1940s to today. The buffet was also very good as I enjoyed the roast beef and yorkshire pudding. The beef was tender and tasty.
Arose58 — Google review
After a mix-up with the ticket show times, which was rectified in a timely manner, we were able to enjoy the Jersey Boys dinner & show. The buffet food selections was delicious, and we were all impressed with the show - what a great performance from everyone involved!!
Victoria C — Google review
Did not expect this place to be so big and grand. The buffet was amazing. We went for the brunch show and it was packed. They do give you a full 2 hours to eat before the main show begins. They are a little bit more expensive than Jubilations , however, the food here has a lot more variety and yummy desserts. Definitely recommend.
Karl D — Google review
I was pleasantly surprised with my experience last night. Normally, I don't enjoy dinner theatre (bad experiences at Jubilations). We went to see 'The Full Monty'. The food was excellent, and the drinks were tasty. Dessert, in particular, also hit the spot nicely (especially the cheesecake). A few minor complaints were that the roast beef would have been easier to consume if we were given proper knives. Trying to cut the meat with a butter knife was a challenge. While a kitchen staff member was swapping a tray for a new one, I was asked to move out of the line for them to do their job only to be cut in front of by a rude older gentleman, whose wife then apologized that he cut in front of me. Sitting side stage where we were is also not recommended as almost every member of our table had a stiff neck by the time the show was over. Other than that, we all had a nice time out, and I'd actually come back here again.
Brittney S — Google review
Saw Jersey Boys - it was awesome. The notes the actors were hitting was insane! The food was delicious and hot. They let me keep my dessert plate at the table after the buffet closed so I ate it during intermission.
Milann B — Google review
Shirley Valentine was a big hit with the seniors group that I travelled with to attend the Mayfield DinnerTheatre for a Wednesday brunch performance. We were moved to laughter and tears by the play and impressed with the stellar performance by the actress who performed this award winning one-women show. The food and service were excellent, as always. Coming here is always a treat!
Trudy G — Google review
Fabulous experience! Excellent from friendly helpful booking to the Delicious buffet choices and the performance. Can't say enough about the Simon and Garfunkel show!! Bonus, the seats have been recovered and refurbished. Much more comfortable! Excellent as usual Mayfield team!
Ellen M — Google review
As always was an amazing show. Food has been consistently good for 15+ years. People always mention that the tickets are expensive for $130. But anywhere else if you go for dinner first to a nice restaurant with good quality food like this you’re paying $60-$80 per person. Then even if you get cheap tickets to show $50-$60 would be common. Definitely worth the money for a very well done show, great service and very, very good food.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of options, including daily specials, ensuring that there is something to satisfy every craving. The buns are always fresh, sourced locally, while the meat used in their burgers is also locally obtained. Customers rave about the helpful and polite young staff who provide excellent service.
Let me start by applauding the team on their exceptional customer service. We had allergy concerns and they verified with us multiple times to make sure they had them down right. Thank you!!!!! The burgers were YUMMY. Everything tasted fresh, buns were soft, toppings were bussing. We had an amazing dinner here! Kudos to the whole team. Try the burger with the peanut butter.

Such a great spot for a burger & some yummy treats! Theres an amazing kind crew there that is just so helpful & efficient! You got to try the dole whip ice-cream when it’s their special!!!! So good!!!! My fave is the bbq crunch burger or hangover burger - those are always a good time and don’t forget the captain crunch milk shake. Out of this world. Highly recommend this yummy establishment filled with variety of choices for burgers, fries, milkshakes and all things good to make you smile!!!

Great quick lunch option. They have a gluten free bun option which was delicious. Could try a double next time. The gluten free chicken tenders were amazing. The sauce was very tasty. Absolutely LOVED that they had a dedicated frier for fries. Will definitely be back again.

First time here. Will never waste my money again. Patty was paper thin. The poutine was balnd and unappealing. The staff were polite and and had smiles. I would not recommend this place . Find someplace that has actual patties

I've heard great things about this place and finally tried it out. First, great price, huge burger for $12.50. Secondly it tastes delicious. I like how soft the bun was! I got the the shroom burger and it was absolutely delicious. It tastes very "homemade" I can see why people rave about this place!

I don't typically leave reviews but I can't let this one go. The owner of Jack's Burger Shack St. Albert needs to learn some etiquette on how to treat customers. I will NEVER be back strictly based on my experience this evening. I visited there a month or so ago and loved the burger. My second visit last night, unfortunately, was disappointing only because I didn't realize the burger came with onions and I didn't ask for it without. The menu is a little hard to read in that regard, but I see it did come with onions once the staff explained it to me. I bragged the burgers up to my mother in law so we decided to go back tonight. I explained about the burger last night and thought it was reasonable to ask for one of the burgers we were ordering to be comped for last night's situation. The employees seemed uptight and now I know why. The owner is a tyrant and they're probably scared of him. He laughed that I brought the burger to show that I only had a couple bites and wasn't just trying for a free burger. He went on to tell me very angrily that he's losing money if he comps me. A few other things were said... its a bit of blur it was so shocking. At that point, I told my very uncomfortable looking mother in law that we're leaving. He may have lost $$ giving me one free burger tonight, even if I were in the wrong, but we were also going to order another burger, some fries and milkshakes. I just moved to the area and I'm within walking distance. I probably would've been a weekly customer and brought my friends and family there many times over the coming years but I will never be back now. He would've made his money back pretty quickly and then some. Smash Burger up the street makes a pretty mean burger too. Might not be as close but they're always polite and seem to know the value of a customer. I can also buy my own ground beef from Darcy's Meats and make my own burger so I'm good!! Take care Jack's Burger Shack... you suck!!
Lisa G — Google review
I got take out. I ordered the classic burger, instead of the shroom. This is one of the best burgers Ive had in metro-edm in years. The meat was seasoned properly, the bun was perfect for the type of burger, with lettuce tomato and pickle. Delixious, go here.
B B — Google review
I was in there recently thought id try something new and was told it was a good spot. Customer service was pretty lame, the cooks were not using gloves so all our food was handled with bare hands, the girl who took our order was then on the line as well putting together burgers. I ordered a poutine, cheese were cubes and didnt melt and the gravy was very unappealing to the eye. I wont go back due to the gloves not being used, makes me wonder if their hands are clean!!!!!

The Arden Theatre in St. Albert is a premier live entertainment venue with 509 seats, offering a diverse range of performances including national and local musical acts, drama, and dance events. The theater recently hosted the St. Albert Children's Theatre production of 'Buddy the Elf,' providing an entertaining experience for families. While the lobby and change rooms are relatively small for larger events, the comfortable seating provides excellent views of the stage. The venue is well-located, allowing visitors to explore St.
We attended the Thursday night performances outside of the Arden Theatre. Excellent idea fir summer night performances. Staff was on point and very helpful and friendly! When it started raining staff was there wiping chairs and keeping everyone comfortable. Excellent performances from the starter band Vissia and the headliner was even better! Wendy McNeill was a breathe of fresh air! Love her music!!

I attended the Arden Theatre Plaza live music series on a Thursday night recently...and couldn't have been more pleased. The only 'admission' is to bring your own chair. I will return several times this season. Don't miss it! Cheers.

Had a great experience saw the British calvary band as well as Canadian artillery band. Good venue, was pretty filled. Staff was nice and got people in and seated in orderly fashion.

This a great venue for intimate concerts and other shows. With a capacity of about 500 there is no bad sight lines. The seating is comfortable. Easy access to the theatre. My wife and I have been here a couple of times for concerts and thoroughly enjoyed them. The sound is high quality. The whole experience was great. I would recommend coming here for any show because it’s comfortable and the ambiance is great.

We went for the Tri-City Ratpack. The theatre was cozy and welcoming. Acoustics were great and the show was a blast. Would definitely go to the Arden again

It's always a fantastic place to enjoy music. It's one of my favourite places to go for entertainment. The staff and volunteers are exceptional

We attended the 2019 Cheremosh Ukrainian dance festival at the Arden theatre. The theatre is lovely with plenty of comfortable seating that offers excellent views of the stage. However, the lobby and the change rooms are quite small for this type of event. The theatre is well-situated and offers visitors a chance to explore the beauty of St. Albert’s river valley or enjoy the shops and restaurants of its downtown core.

The Borealis Light display at Riel Recreation Park offers a diverse range of lighting setups, providing a worthwhile experience for visitors. The greeter stationed near the entrance collects donations in a bucket, implying the need for contributions. To show support, it is advisable to bring canned food items or a hot coffee for the greeter. The park boasts beautiful walkways that are dog-friendly and equipped with picnic tables featuring barbecues suitable for both wood and charcoal fires.
In winter it is an unforgettable sight. Every day there are a lot of cars, you drive through a fabulous atmosphere, there is a festive mood here.

Went for the Borealis Light and had good experience of different types of lighting setup. It's worth the money. The greeter was standing in the cold and collecting donations. I assumed as there was a bucket beside him, but I did not bring anything. I will for sure bring some can items and a hot coffee for him.

This is the only "official" boat launch that gives you quick and direct access to Big Lake - unless you want to paddle upriver from downtown St. Albert or portage from other spots. The actual address is : 2 Rodeo Drive, St. Albert, Alberta, T8N 0Z8 Once you arrive, the boat launch itself is located behind the BLESS cabin at the end of the parking loop - look for the short dirt path leading down to the river across from the paved trail. The Launch is an aluminum rolling dock which stays at the same height throughout the season - they sometimes adjust it according to the water levels. The path down there/area itself is all dirt so expect it to be mud on rainier days - why they haven't thrown some rocks down there yet is beyond me. This launch can definitely get busy during the Summer months so come prepared to wait in a "launch" line during peak hours so keep that in mind for parking as well. If you can't find parking in the roundabout, you may have to drop your boat off and park in the gravel parking lot across from the RV park - its a short walk. Bylaw has also been known to sometimes ticket vehicles that park on the side of the road in front of the RV park and Soccer/Rugby Fields - so be advised. The conditions on Big Lake and the Sturgeon river are highly dependent on precipitation year round. Conditions later in the paddling Season (August, September) will usually be worse than May/June - however that can change if we receive decent rain. Plant life and low spots can cause extreme difficulty when the water levels are low. Its a lovely beginner paddle with lots of wildlife and at times mosquitoes. People leaving bad reviews about the conditions of the water have no idea how much it can actually fluctuate from year to year and month to month - but don't expect Lake Louise out there it's mainly a marshy wetland! You can check out our website/socials for updates as well as boat tours and rentals! @ruralrivers Have fun paddling!

Beautiful but a wee bit cold today. Nice to have such nice walkways Dog friendly Even have picnic tables with bbqs for wood or charcoal fire. Also have alcohol areas around the table area to enjoy a beer (byoa) with your bbq'ed steak ect.
Shane C — Google review
We recently did a bike ride on the St. Albert trails and made a stop at the Riel Rec. Park. There are picnic tables next to the parking area with fire pits and bonus there is wood available for use. I brought along a few craft beers and noticed that this area permitted alcohol which worked out great. The park is very large with lots of room for families to sit, play, eat and have a fire. If you decide to drive it might be tough to find a parking spot as it is a very busy area. This is also the area where St. Albert had the ice skating trail this past winter. I have been to this location previously but to kayak as the city has installed a seasonal dock in the river. There is also a wooden covered canopy for cooking, so it is a great multi-use location. It is worth checking out.

Plates of Green Curry, Spicy Pineapple Curry & Pad Cha, each with Coconut Rice, plus a thai-coconut milk iced coffee. Absolutely delicious! Very reasonable prices, too. Less than $60 for 3 people. This place is underrated! Will definitely go back.

Best Thai restaurant. Me and my husband love the food over here. I love their tofu pad Thai (with extra onions and spicy😋), it is my all time favourite that no other restaurant can match. Chef Adam knows our order and a huge shoutout to him for cooking excellent food.
Navjot M — Google review
My partner and I dined at Songkran for lunch yesterday with two friends. We ordered the green curry, pad thai tom yam, cashew nut stir fry and a curry listed on their specials board (I don't recall the name, but it contained pork, pineapple and ginger). We also had mango sticky rice for dessert. We were blown away by the food - it was authentic, flavorful, and filling. Everything we ordered was a 5/5. The Thai coffee and Thai iced tea were amazing too. Keep in mind that it is a bit on the sweeter side though. The waitress had a cheerful personality and the service was extremely quick. We would go back again in a heartbeat!

Had the dinner special, northern Hang Lay curry and my spouse had teriyaki pork. Both dishes were exceptional and very large. Veggie spring rolls also very good!

Hidden gem. They had so many options, it was hard to chose. The categories on the menu were arranged nicely in appetizers, soups, salads, noodle and rice dishes. The price with meat/seafood was at the bottom. The atmosphere was nicely decorated with a cozy vibe, little outdated but still nice. The service was okay, not the greatest English speakers, but worth the visit because the authenticity of the food. They had cute Thai aluminum dishes. We ordered the salad rolls to start, the peanut dipping sauce was amazing. As well as the pad Thai with seafood and chicken curry vegetables with a side of coconut rice. They were reasonable portions and flavors were amazing. We had leftovers to bring home.

Tried a soup I have never had. Kow Soi with yellow curry broth, chicken, shrimp, veggies and wide egg noodles. I liked the flavours and the chicken, shrimp and veg were cooked nicley. The wide noodles were very rubbery and I didn't really care for them but I assume they are supposed to taste like that and have the texture they had. The place is definitely showing a lot of wear. The covring on the booths is very worn. Decent spot for lunch but not where I would take someone on a date. I will definitely go back and try some of the other dishes as the ones being served to the other tables smelled and looked great.
Dean E — Google review
The restaurant has an older style atmosphere, once you walked in to the restaurant you could smell how amazing the food was going to be. The service was fast! Very efficient and straight to the point. I went at lunch where there’s a s specific lunch menu! It did not disappoint. The options were incredible! I had soup and spring rolls. Let me tell you how perfectly deep fried the rolls were, they were honestly textured the best I’ve had in along time. It was a lot of carrot flavor. Next I had the won ton soup, I ordered this without Shrimp & it was phenomenal. The soup had a nice mix of vegetables & meat without it being a Wor Won Ton.

This delightful restaurant offers a taste of Italy with its authentic pasta dishes and warm ambiance, making it perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. Since changing ownership in January 2019, Luisa Risto continues to impress locals and visitors alike with its inviting atmosphere and delectable menu options.
Very busy place due to limited space. Best to make a reservation. We had a table outside, it was perfect. Good weather. The food was delicious. However, the Margherita pizza wasn't as flavorful as the pasta's. Good service and friendly staffs.

Absolutely delicious, authentic Italian food served hot and fresh, and bursting with flavour! I’m so glad we found this place, I will be recommending it to people I know and will be coming back here again soon. The service was also beyond exceptional. With a vibrant and boisterous atmosphere, this is the place to go on a Friday for dinner! I’ve been to Italy and have travelled across Europe, and the food here still impressed me. Very well done, Luisa Risto!!!

Ed is the best! Right from the first moment, we called to book a reso, they offered a set time but also said we could come early and sit at the bar to enjoy a drink before our table was ready. They advised about the ample parking in the back. We arrived and were greeted with nothing but EXCELLENT service. We couldn't decide what to order but Ed helped us. We picked two items and he chose for us. I cannot stress how absolutely amazing this experience was. I will always recommend someone to check out this place. We had the aracini balls, the artisnal bread for appys. Cannelloni and lasagna for dinner - monster lasagna and huge canelloni. For dessert we had the cheese cake flight. Three kinds. The pina colada, chocolate and new York with blueberry compote. TO DIE FOR. I dont really like coconut but that pina colada cheesecake was the most amazing tasting thing ever.

We had dinner here for our anniversary. We didn't have a reservation since it was a spontaneous trip to the area, but we still got seated immediately 😊 Our server was really nice and always made sure we were comfy and enjoying our meal. We ordered a lot just to try them out lol the portions are large, maybe good for 2 people each plate. Orders: Espresso martini Luisa spritz Calamari Meat lover's pizza 🍕 😋 Lasagna Carbonara Tiramisu Everything was delicious! Calamari melts in your mouth. Drinks were perfect as recommended. We'll be going back next time to try the other items in the menu.

Effing Seafoods on Riel Drive is a delightful destination for seafood lovers, offering a unique and personal shopping experience. With a focus on cleanliness and customer service, this market allows one customer at a time to ensure an intimate atmosphere. Many patrons rave about the exceptional quality of their oysters and other seafood offerings. After winning a seafood platter, one lucky family discovered just how special Effing Seafoods can be—perfect for celebrating new beginnings!
Cannot say anything negative about this place. My boyfriend and I had a lackluster meal at a very expensive seafood place in Edmonton and instead of risking another bad meal, we decided to do it ourselves. The prices are amazing as far as inland prices can be, the person helping was knowledgeable and friendly. The meal itself....oh, my effing god. It was amazing!!! We ate crab and prawns for days and I cannot wait to get more.. still riding that crab high 😍

I’m thrilled to share my experience with Effing Seafood after winning a seafood platter for two. I typically go there to purchase their amazing oysters. Their staff is knowledgeable, friendly and genuine. My wife and I just became proud parents of a beautiful baby. 🥳👶 And after being sleep deprived after our first week post home birth. I received a call that I had won a platter for two. I had completely forgotten I had entered this contest…. But what an amazing gift to have as a new family. The instructions are easy to follow. It was a great way for us new parents to have a mini date night! Thank you for the amazing food and amazing service!

An absolute gem and a must visit for any seafood fans in the St. Albert and Edmonton area. We have been going to Effing for years now as they always have consistent quality and variety. I really appreciate that they will only bring in seafood if it's of excellent quality and they know where it comes from. I can not speak highly enough about this lovely establishment and the very friendly and helpful staff.

5+ stars! The Fish Club is a great way to get your hands on the best seafood around, and they offer delivery on this monthly subscription, which is handy if you live in Edmonton 😀 Rob and the team go above and beyond - from the variety, sustainable and top notch products, quality packaging and customer service... I highly recommend that you support this small business! You will not be disappointed.

Ordered the robs choice pack, Online it says you get fish like ora king bellies, tuna, swordfish and john dory. What they actually send is cheap cuts like haddock and sole, two small crab cakes a 2 lb bag of shrimp and 2 small pieces of halibut. Update, I got a call from effing seafoods explaining the products and value associated with each product. Total in store retail value comes to the same price as you pay for the robs choice pack. So no cost savings in buying the pack. You’re better off to just order what you want and know exactly what you’re getting. The quality of the products looks good just wasn’t what I was expecting for the money. Maybe the robs choice pack had my expectations set way too high.

We got some sashimi grade BC steelhead salmon and fresh scallops for our DIY sushi night and it turned out amazing! The person in charge gave great advice on the selection available, and was super friendly. Will definitely be back soon :)

We pre-ordered 6 dozen oysters for Father's Day and were very happy with the price, quality, and customer service. Price was lower than any other place I checked, each dozen was a different variety all from P.E.I., and we even received a phone call as a reminder for pickup day/time. Upon request they were able to package in a Styrofoam cooler to help us transport home. This will be our new go to.
