D Dutchmen Dairy Ltd is a long-standing establishment that has been offering handmade dairy products since 1978. Founded by Chris and Nellie Dewitt, the dairy continues to be operated by the Dewitt family. Known for its high-quality ingredients, the small family-owned farm in Sicamous produces fresh milk, ice cream, and cheese on-site. The dairy's products are popular among both locals and tourists, with many visitors returning for generations.
A Must-Stop on Your BC Road Trip! If you're traveling through British Columbia, make sure to take a quick detour (just a minute off Highway 1) to visit Dutchmen Dairy—you won't regret it! This charming, family-friendly spot offers some of the best house-made ice cream and dairy products you'll find anywhere. We were blown away by the variety of ice cream flavors, all made on-site with incredibly rich and creamy texture. We also picked up some delicious cheese and spent a good 10-15 minutes exploring the small farm area—great for kids. The whole experience is super accessible, with lots to see and do even on a short stop. Whether you're grabbing a cone or just stretching your legs, Dutchmen Dairy is well worth the visit!

We stopped by on Monday for ice cream and really liked the place and atmosphere. Our toddler was quite entertained by the various tractors he could sit on and the baby cows he could watch. There was a lineup, but it only took about 10 minutes—so not too long. The staff was great and friendly, especially considering how busy they were. The ice cream was okay; lots of choices, we tried Sea Salt Caramel Cheesecake and Wild Berries. They were nice and creamy, which was great, but not very flavourful—even though cherry usually is. They also sell milk products, including milk and cheese. We didn’t have a chance to try them.
Tanya M — Google review
Stopped here on the way from Revelstoke — definitely worth it! The place was quite busy, and we waited about 10 minutes in line, but the huge selection of ice cream made from fresh farm milk was worth it. They also offer lactose-free options and refreshing sorbets, which is a big plus. The whole spot has a Dutch theme, with shelves full of waffles, chocolate, and cookies, along with their own dairy products straight from the farm. The property is large and well set up, with gazebos, washrooms, a store, and even a barn where you can see the cows. A fun stop for families and ice cream lovers alike!

We have been stopping by D Dutchmen for years. It's worth taking a break here from the drive to have some delicious ice cream. This is no tourist trap. The ice cream and sorbet are excellent here. My kids look forward to this stop on our way to the Okanagan. The washrooms are clean and another reason to stop by. If you feel up to it, pop across the street to Fruit World for some healthy snacks for the road.
Victor L — Google review
I definitely recommend making a detour to D Dutchmen Dairy for their fresh, creamy ice cream. You can grab a pint or even a tub to take home. The ice cream is rich, full of flavor, and has that heavy cream taste that makes it stand out exactly how I like it. It does get very busy, so be prepared to wait in line, but it’s absolutely worth it once you get that first scoop. A true local gem and a must-stop when passing through Sicamous.
Jackson L — Google review
Great choice of ice cream! You can also find a variety of farm-made cheeses, milks, and fresh cream. There are even some lovely Dutch souvenirs such as ceramic tulips, kitchen towels, and, of course, authentic Dutch waffles. When my daughter accidentally dropped her ice cream at the cashier while we were paying, the cashier—before she even started to cry—immediately said they would bring her a new portion. That was such a kind gesture, and I’m very grateful for it. A public washroom is available, and there’s also a play area for children.
Yulia H — Google review
Dutchmen Dairy in Sicamous was a notable stop on our drive to Revelstoke. I had two scoops of ice cream, and the sea salt caramel cheesecake flavor was fantastic—rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. They boast a wide variety of ice cream flavors, which is a major draw. However, on our return trip, I tried the Oreo and mango flavors, and both were a big disappointment. Not only did they lack the distinct Oreo and mango tastes I expected, but they oddly tasted the same, which was a real letdown. The place has a family-friendly atmosphere, with a nice seating area, a small play space for kids, and a barn where you can see cows and goats, which my family enjoyed. That said, the shop gets very crowded, and parking is a hassle. Hygiene was also an issue—there was a fly buzzing around, and the ice cream cones were left exposed without covers. Worst of all, stepping outside hits you with a strong smell of cow patties from the barn right behind the store, making it tough to enjoy your ice cream. Pricing for the scoops is fair: $5.25 for one giant scoop, $6.50 for two scoops, and $8.00 for three scoops. However, a waffle cone costs an extra $1.00, and a bowl adds $0.25, which feels a bit much for basic add-ons. The ice cream quality (when the flavor delivers) and family-friendly vibe are highlights, but the disappointing flavors, hygiene concerns, and overpowering barn smell really detracted from the experience. I’d recommend it for the standout flavors and kid-friendly activities, but they need to improve cleanliness, flavor consistency, and the odor issue.
Janice K — Google review
A great place to stop and stretch your legs! Loved seeing the Holstein calves and HUGE mamas in the barn, as well as the different breeds of chickens, goats and pheasant. Cute little dairy shop, long line for the dozens of flavours of ice cream but I made a beeline for the cheese case! Picked up 2 varieties of cheese curds at a reasonable price. Great stop on a road trip through the Shuswap area!

Grocery store
Fruit World, located in Sicamous, B.C., is a go-to destination for local produce and specialty items. Positioned conveniently on the Trans-Canada Highway between Vancouver and Calgary, it offers a wide variety of seasonal fruits like apples, peaches, cherries, and berries. Additionally, visitors can find healthy snacks, preserves, juice, cider as well as dairy products from D Dutchman Dairy. The store also boasts an array of delicious ice cream flavors made from fresh dairy on site.
Fresh, Local, and Full of Variety! Fruit World is a fantastic stop right across from Dutchmen Dairy—making it a perfect addition to your BC road trip. They offer a wide range of fresh local fruits as well as hard-to-find exotic varieties you rarely see elsewhere. Most of the produce is reasonably priced, and the quality is excellent. Beyond fruits, you'll also find tons of fresh vegetables, spices, and other pantry essentials. Whether you're stocking up for the road or just browsing, this spot has a little something for everyone. Convenient, affordable, and packed with fresh options—Fruit World is well worth a visit!
Luna K — Google review
Nice place to stop for local fruit and snacks — but a bit pricey I stopped by Fruit World in Sicamous during a road trip. It’s a cute little market with a great selection of fresh fruit, vegetables, and local products like jams, honey, and hot sauces. The produce looked fresh and well displayed, and the staff were friendly and helpful. That said, I did notice the fruit prices were on the expensive side. Some items cost quite a bit more than what you'd find at a grocery store. I understand you’re paying for local and fresh, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re watching your budget. Overall, it’s worth a stop for the experience and to support local—but I wouldn’t do all my produce shopping here.
Asaad A — Google review
Fruit World in Sicamous is a great little detour spot if you’re on the way to Kelowna. They have a nice selection of fresh local produce, and it’s a good place to stock up before continuing your drive. The fruit is fresh, tasty, and convenient to grab for the road. It’s not a huge market, but it’s definitely worth the stop if you want something fresher than grocery store produce while traveling through.
Jackson L — Google review
Great stop on the highway for local produce. There was a decent selection of regional vendors which I’m sure will grow as the season progresses. All fresh and looking good. For there before opening but they accommodated us anyway 🙂 cashier packed garlic separately so that it didn’t permeate our other produce ❤️ great selection of BC hot sauces!!!
Jenn C — Google review
The place is amazing. If you need to but a fresh fruit and veggies- highly recommended! Especially, if you are going from Kelowna early morning and all fruit stands there are closed.
Anastasiia K — Google review
A ‘must stop’ spot for us while driving back to Calgary from BC. Great variety of fresh BC fruits and vegetables.

Dream of this place all year until out annual trio to Sicamous. The peaches taste like they have been canned, just naturally sweet and juicy 10/10

Extraordinary place to get fresh Okanagan Fruit and Vegetables. We bought peaches, blueberries and cherries. One of the girls picked the perfect peaches and amazing cherries for us to take home. I would be a regular customer if I wouldnt live close to Calgary. But I have to say: " Your produce was the best I had in a very long time.

Tina S — Google review
Fun time with the grandkids. Nice to see the small carts for little kids.
Debra S — Google review
Went in with my family visiting from out of province today. According to the very agitated man in charge he was not tolerating any crying children if they crash and will be pulling them off their carts. He singled out my niece, pointing at her, assuming she will be one to crash and cry, which of course made her cry so we left. Don't take your frustration with other children out on a small child who was looking forward to the experience. I don't care what happened 10 minutes before we got there, you work in a kid heavy business so get yourself together before talking to children and families that had nothing to do with whatever happened that day.
Amanda S — Google review
A huge shout out to Kelly’s GoKart! This is an amazing place for kids to have fun and some driving experience. The people were amazing, patient and extremely kid friendly to my 2 kids who had no previous experience of go-karting of any sort. I’m so glad they had their first ever experience at Kelly’s. And it was super affordable too.

Eagle River Golf & Country Club is a well-regarded 9-hole golf course located just outside of Sicamous, easily accessible from the Trans-Canada Highway/BC-1. It has been voted as the best in the Shuswap region and offers a Par 33 Executive layout with a driving range and RV facilities. Visitors have praised the accommodating and attentive staff, particularly for their efforts in catering to dietary restrictions and ensuring an enjoyable experience, even in hot weather conditions.
My husband and I enjoyed golfing here. The course is not challenging, fun with a couple of par 3 mostly par 4. We are not expert golfers but golf well. After we had a couple of beers, talked to some other golfers on the patio and then ended up staying for their wings. Service was friendly and very accommodating :) We felt very welcomed. Great job on balancing tourists and your regulars. We hope to return again soon! 😊

Amazing clubhouse, lots of great products.. was treated like a king . I don't drink but bar looked 🥵🥵 Great little course , well maintained, cheap ... 10/10. i just love golfing here! course conditions were amazing considering how hot and dry its been. mosquitos just a little annoying, just a wee bit. beautiful mountain backdrop and river running around course. wow! Food hit the spot and owner and staff are super accommodating and friendly. thanks for a amazing overall experience!!

Been here every summer for the past 3 years. If you love having the grounds crew/maintenance staff lingering around you the entire time, and mowing the grass 40 feet from you while you’re teeing off or putting, then you’ll love this course. No more business from my friends and I at this place.
Marty — Google review
Course is relatively good but owner Sunny verbally harassed my group of first time golfers, and had poor excuses for sections of the course being closed (not enough rope. Cmon man go to RONA get some more rope across the street). Bad experience based off of horrible customer service. Denise in the club house was the only level headed worker who we could calmly talk to. Edit: The owner Rick was very understanding and helpful for what happened the other day and I will definitely be going back

Cindy is great! Very pleasant to deal with. Looking forward to our next visit

2 1/2 stars... Pretty darn pricey on just walking this track of a $34 price tag for 9 holes. A good challenge though and tight play and a scenic course in a park setting. Just could not get over the $34 price tag on walking for an exec course. Signs directing to next hole would be a nice touch too so it is less Mickey Mouse guessing to next hole direction. Lady at front was nice though.

Nestled in a stunning natural setting, guests can indulge in yoga sessions tailored to their skill levels while enjoying activities like paddle boarding with turtles and forest foraging. The warm hospitality of the hostess makes you feel right at home, whether you're unwinding in the hot tub or lounging under the gazebo. Peaceful views, delicious food and soul searching is only a portion of what you will find on this retreat. Between the yoga, paddle boarding with turtles, forest foraging you will get a chance to find peace in the surroundings of the beautiful space. Our hostess was amazing, made you feel more than at home with opportunity to use the hot tub or just relaxing out under the gazebo. Making lasting friendships with those that joined as well was the icing on the cake. I can’t wait to do this again next year to see the progress within myself.

What an wonderful experience! I recently spent a weekend on a Hyde Mountain yoga retreat. From start to finish, it was truly amazing. Coleen is a fantastic host, who makes her guests feel right at home and thinks of everything. Her yoga teaching is very clear and easy to follow, and she knows just how to challenge your body in the right way. The activities - SUP/kayaking, wine tasting, foraging and tarot card reading were great fun and there was added insight into meditation and Ayurvedic nutrition. Guest yoga teachers provided great classes too, all in the most wonderful location. Excellent food, courtesy of Zoe and Dave. Even with all this, the sum was much greater than its parts and I left feeling totally relaxed and inspired to take what I have learnt and use it to make lasting life changes. Thank you to Coleen, your family and the lovely bunch of practitioners you introduced me to. I will never forget this experience and would highly recommend your retreat to anyone

The weekend yoga retreat was so much more than I anticipated. Coleen is an excellent yoga instructor who adapts her teaching to the ability and experience of her students. We enjoyed and explored the beauty of the area. We laughed, we relaxed, and felt welcomed and very comfortable in their beautiful home. A wonderful way to recharge, relax and connect with your inner self. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the delicious meals prepared by local Chef Hugo! Wow!

Hyde Mountain Retreat Review: A Truly Unforgettable Experience I recently had the privilege of attending a retreat at Hyde Mountain, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully planned to create an enriching and rejuvenating experience. Yoga and Wellness: The yoga sessions were a perfect blend of relaxation and challenge, offering a serene start to each day. The setting, amidst the beautiful backdrop of Hyde Mountain, made it even more special. The instructors were incredibly skilled, guiding us through practices that catered to all levels. Kayaking Adventures: One of the highlights was the kayaking experience. Paddling through calm waters surrounded by breathtaking nature was both exhilarating and peaceful. It was the perfect way to connect with the outdoors and with ourselves. Foraging: Foraging in the local forests with Aaron was a unique and educational experience. We learned so much about the natural abundance around us. The Witchatarian: A particularly memorable moment was the tarot card reading with Rose . Her insights were incredibly illuminating, providing me with valuable guidance on what’s next in my life. It was a profound and personal experience that added a special touch to the retreat. Wine Tasting: The wine tasting from Baccata Ridge Winery was another highlight. Each wine was delicious, showcasing the region’s exceptional winemaking. It was a delightful experience that perfectly complemented the rest of the retreat. Culinary Delights: A talented chef from a renowned vegan restaurant StillFoods Bistro from Salmon Arm was brought in, and Dave did not disappoint. Every meal was a celebration of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, expertly prepared to nourish both body and soul. Special Thanks to Coleen: None of this would have been possible without Coleen, who curated this entire retreat with such care and attention to detail. Her passion for creating meaningful experiences for others was evident in every aspect of the retreat. From the yoga sessions to the kayaking, foraging, tarot reading, wine tasting, and beyond, everything was perfectly planned and executed. Thank you, Coleen, for an amazing retreat that exceeded all expectations. This was truly an experience to remember.

Anvil Coffee Collective is a delightful gem that has quickly become a must-visit for travelers between Kelowna and Calgary. With its warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, it’s the perfect spot to unwind with a delicious cup of coffee. Patrons rave about their expertly crafted americanos, which boast rich earthy tones and an enticing aroma that lingers long after the last sip. The menu also features mouthwatering breakfast options like freshly grilled bacon sandwiches that pack just the right amount of spice.
Great stop for coffee and a snack. As well, great decor, friendly staff and hot dark chocolate with a splash of white chocolate tasted amazing alongside a survival cookie. Also, a great family run business story on their website. Thanks for the great experience. We will come again when passing through. Darlene, Calgary, AB.

The atmosphere and setting of this place are incredibly peaceful. They have a lovely classic interior with beautiful decorations, and most importantly, they have many comfortable seats. The outdoor seating is shaded, and you’ll get a refreshing breeze while enjoying your coffee. However, the bakery selection is quite limited, and the sandwiches didn’t really appeal to me. Their coffee is just okay, nothing extraordinary.

Overall great experience - lively & fun atmosphere. Will definitely come back when I am passing through Sicamous again! Great gluten free options! Menu doesn’t specify too much, and the server said they will try to update it on their next revision of the menus. I got gluten free pizza - they specified they cook the pizza on a different surface (still in the same oven however). I also got a few orders of chicken wings - the server brought me a hand written list of which flavours I could get. They bake the wings so you do not have to worry about a non-gluten free fryer. :)

Went to the liquor store last night and Curtis and Journey were oh so helpful. Journey recommended a wonderful wine and then the two of them offered a complimentary cup to go along with my purchase. I also bought some local beers that were recommended and they were fantastic as well. Great shop and friendly knowledgeable staff. If you need alcohol go here!!

I was told to expect an incredible pizza experience here and that the food was supposedly very good here, I’ve learned by painful experience though that most dining experiences in Sicamous are dismal and disappointing although in this instance the service was good although a little disorganized and the atmosphere was very nice, bright and airy with lots of room and a great deck area. I wanted to stay and enjoy a pint or two but it wasn’t in the cards instead I decided to order two pizzas one Canadian style and one purely vegetarian simple enough, I paid for my pizzas and was told it would take twenty minutes, I wasn’t offered a place to sit or even a glass of water so I sat in my car to wait after twenty minutes I returned and asked for my pizzas, complete confusion erupted and they were unable to locate my order or the waitress that had taken the order, fortunately I had paid for the order and had proof that I had ordered it, they assured me that in yet another twenty minutes I would have my pizzas so again I wasn’t offered a place to sit or a glass of water, I returned to my car in 38 degree heat to wait. After another sweltering 20 minutes I returned to the counter and this time they were able to provide my pizzas to me although they attempted to bill me a second time… after working through that I was able to return home approximately an hour after ordering my take out pizzas. We eagerly opened our pizza boxes and began eating only to find that the pizzas although amply covered with ingredients were undercooked, the crust was doughy and the centre of the pizzas were essentially raw inside, although the cheese on top looked cooked so I’m not certain how they accomplished this. Repeated calls to the restaurant were not picked up or rang busy, so we ended up cooking the individual pieces of pizza in the air fryer so our experience with this supposedly amazing pizza was amazingly underwhelming. Don’t get me wrong I do believe that this place has potential (unlike the some of the other pubs in Sicamous) they just need to get organized to make things happen properly. As a local I’d like to be able to not have to leave Sicamous for a good restaurant experience and I had high hopes for Brothers Tavern, nice place, okay prices, so so atmosphere it’s just the cooks that messed up and the staff in the delivery to a waiting customer Well I decided to give this place one more try in 2024! I phoned before meeting my out of town colleague there. We were greeted and told to stay closer to the bar to stay warm as the place was sub zero, and the only customers there were huddled around the bar drinking with the staff and listening to ancient 80’s Rock, I never removed my jacket and any food ordered was immediately cold. I tried ordering their “Canadian” pizza which when received was horribly overcooked and tasted like frozen supermarket pizza with bacon bits on it, probably one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had, pretty terrible and underwhelming I did order some Buffalo wings and received wings with a weird white/orange sauce on it and then when I asked I was told that’s how the Buffalo wings here are served although it makes no mention of a Ranch/Franks hot sauce mix in the menu? Meh won’t be ordering that again tried my fish taco’s which were basically soft taco shells with an over cooked and dark brown Captain Highliner fish stick and salsa, wow a Chimpanzee could have done a better job of preparing this and at least could have changed the oil in the deep fryer before cooking this. Service was slow and our we could smell liquor on the breath of the waitress. Never was offered a refill on our drinks or how’s the food inquiry just here’s your bill as the waitress was obviously distracted by her friends at the bar. I can’t in all good conscience recommend this place to anyone I’ve tried to support this place but it seems no one here is willing to try to even give marginally good service and consistent good food, disappointing as the options for local restaurants is pretty dismal

We ordered delivery from Brothers Tavern and it was a great experience from start to finish. The person on the phone that took our order was efficient and really polite. They quoted us about 45 mins and it was delivered in under that amount of time even with our large order. The delivery person was personable and had a smile on his face. The food was fantastic! We ordered appetizers and a couple of meals. The Tex-Mex mushrooms were delicious. The fish and chips were super tasty. The only small complaint I have was that the fish batter was a tad on the greasy side, dripping grease, but not a huge deal considering it’s deep fried. The portions were humongous and would definitely recommend! When we visit Sicamous we will venture here again!

Was a friendly establishment that was more like a place to meet up with friends and make new ones. Staff was up to the task of serving our group of 10 with refreshments and food even in the midst of a shift change.

Sure! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Brothers Tavern, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the friendly staff, setting a welcoming tone for the evening. **Ambiance:** The ambiance of Brothers Tavern is cozy and inviting. The rustic decor, coupled with modern touches, creates a perfect setting for a relaxed meal. Whether you're there for a casual lunch or a special dinner, the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. **Service:** The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. They took the time to explain the specials of the day and offered excellent recommendations based on our preferences. The staff's attention to detail and commitment to ensuring a pleasant dining experience did not go unnoticed. **Food:** The food at Brothers Tavern is nothing short of exceptional. We started with the house-made appetizers, which were fresh and bursting with flavor. For the main course, I opted for the [insert main dish here], and it was cooked to perfection. The ingredients were high-quality, and the presentation was beautiful. My companions were equally impressed with their dishes, including the [insert other dish here] and the [insert other dish here]. **Drinks:** The drink selection was diverse, with a variety of craft beers, fine wines, and creative cocktails. The bartender clearly knows their craft, as our drinks were well-balanced and expertly crafted. **Overall:** Brothers Tavern exceeded my expectations in every way. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Brothers Tavern to anyone looking for a top-notch meal in a comfortable setting. I will definitely be returning soon!

Guests can enjoy generous portions of mouthwatering dishes like mac and cheese and mashed potatoes with gravy. Awesome food, excellent service and a great vibe! We brought our dogs and sat on the patio. They were so kind and helpful getting us and our pups settled in. Ribs and beet salad were delicious along with a flight of BBQ sauces. Highly recommend!

I love stopping by places that surprise me, and this one definitely did! I ordered the brisket and potato salad — both were absolutely delicious. On top of that, I enjoyed a perfectly crafted cocktail. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Saw the Narrows had some good reviews and wanted to check it out after a day on the water. Had to wait a out 10 minutes to be seated and was about 30 min wait for food. We ordered their platter to try everything. Mac and cheese could have used more crumble, but everything else was really good, our favourites would be the potato salad, baked beans and the brisket was killer.

Visiting from vancouver and staying in mara lake area, the narrows came up when I was looking for something interesting and near by. 13 minutes from our cabin on the lake to some of the best BBQ my American husband has had since joining me in Canada 5 years ago. Cornbread with honey butter really was tasty but left room for all that came after. So many sauces to try with the generous bark covered brisket but there was one that isn't on the menu. No name but if you ask for their new pineapple sauce you'll be treated with some super unique sweet and spicy sauce that pairs so well with the fatty nature of brisket. Staff warm, welcoming and kind. Dining room had lots of room, accessible seating and dog friendly patio (yay!) Will make the trip to sicamous again to try more on the menu I had to leave behind this time. Watermelon salad with calamansi dressing, Mac salad, frito pie? So many reasons to come back. (We had to drive so had to ignore the impressive anf extensive wine and cocktail menu this time but I did watch a parade of inspiring looking drinks going to the other tables)

Very tasty and good meat, homemade sauces add a big extra to a delicious and affordable meal. Lovely and sweet service and when the weather is right, a very nice sit outside. Recommended!

My wife and I visit The Narrows Smokehouse annually during our time in Sicamous and can't wait to go again. The service is great, they always seem busy and still have tables available for quick seating. The smell along main Street is amazing when the smoke lingers which easily draws you in to taste the amazing brisket, chicken, pork, and ribs. We encourage you to try a family-style meal by ordering from around the menu and sharing with the entire table. Or, just order the Smokehouse platter and get a little of everything, you can't go wrong. We sat on the patio at the end of a warm August day and enjoyed delicious cocktails while waiting for our food. Thanks again for a great experience, the staff handled the traffic well even if they were short staffed!

I ordered the brisket sandwich and potato salad to go. The bun was soft, the meat was tender and the potato salad had yummy sweet pickles in it. I would prefer that the eggs and potatoes were cut into smaller chunks though. I had a side of classic bbq sauce which was delicious for dipping the sandwich in. What stood out the most at this place was the bartender who cheerfully filled my water bottles for me and even asked if I wanted ice. He is a keeper!

We love the Smokehouse! Our favourite option on the menu is the share platter. That way you get to try all their delicious 16 hr cooked meats and sides + we never finish so we take home enough food to eat lunch the next day! We have ordered this for a date night or as a family of 3. Our personal favourite meat is the beef brisket and our favourite side you must try is the cornbread muffins with honey butter. Melt in your mouth yummy! 🤤

Nestled in the charming town of Sicamous, BC, Aroy Maak Thai Cuisine offers a delightful culinary escape into the vibrant flavors of Thailand. Whether you're a fan of spicy curries or savory stir-fries, Aroy Maak Thai Cuisine promises to satisfy your cravings while providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
A local gem! I will have dreams about their satay… perhaps the best I’ve ever had (including the month I was in Thailand!) We could only get take out the day we went due to a staffing shortage but the food was still top notch. The green curry was amazing! Great job!! Highly recommended!

Love this local spot for thai food. Staff is friendly, the place gets busy so there might be a bit of a wait for a table. Once you order food comes up relatively quickly and it is hot and fresh. All the food was amazing and cant wait to dine there again.

The service is exceptionally warm at this cozy restaurant. Unfortunately, meals were served slowly on Father's Day today. We enjoyed a vibrant stir-fry with perfectly cooked vegetables and tender meat, complemented by rich yellow and red curries bursting with aromatic flavors. The savory Tom Yum soup had a deep, tangy broth with prawns, tomatoes, and vegetables, providing a comforting start to our meal. Despite the wait, the delicious food and welcoming atmosphere made for a memorable dining experience.

We decided to go out for dinner this evening to Aroy Maak Thai. The service, the meal, and the atmosphere, all of it was excellent!!! I had Lemon Chicken on dried Kale... extremely delicious 😋 my husband enjoyed the Sweet and Sour Stir fry with plenty of prawns. Generous helping, you won't leave hungry.

OH MY GOD!!!! The food at this darling little Thai establishment is so good it’s hard to fathom how any other restaurant inside of 10km can stay open!! The food here is like an addictive drug, it is seriously that good!!! I am shocked there isn’t a Thai food addiction treatment facility next door!🤣. This place is small and busy, if you need to wait don’t get frustrated you are in for a treat!!! Aroy Maak Thai Cuisine is authentic and could very well be the best option without leaving the country!!! ✅ Update: It has been roughly a year since my original review; I am happy to confirm I am even more impressed with this fine dining experience and have returned multiple times over this past year. I have also learned the Aroy Maak Thai Cuisine is a family owned and operated business! 2 charming, intelligent, entrepreneurial sisters ( Haley & Samara) created this delicious creation with a sustainable “farm to plate” concept! They grow, harvest, and serve their fresh produce as well take extreme care when choosing what proteins are served. One example that proves this; just order any dish with a shrimp or prawn and you will not just taste, you will see the difference! Every detail has been carefully selected and prepared with a keen eye, years of experience and care! Keep up the excellent results!! Cheers!

A&W Canada is a fast-food establishment that offers its signature root beer, alongside burgers, chicken, and fries. The cuisine provided is steaming, recently prepared, and delectable. Day 2

Northwest side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northwest side side of town. Start the day off with Sicamous Public Beach, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Twin Anchors Houseboat Vacations. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

This beach has always been a go to area for us and the kids as a stop when travelling through Highway 1. The beach is clean and the water is warm. You can either spend the time sunbathing, playing with the sand and swimming. It has lots of picnic tables close by and also has the added bonus of having a spray park, volleyball sand court and a playground. Pros - clearly demarcated swimming area - clean beach with fine sand, well maintained - easy access from Highway 1 - shaded area around beach with picnic tables - access to clean washrooms and shower - spray park - playground - volleyball area - good parking - you can watch boats as they leave for the lake Cons - can get busy on weekends or holidays

Beach was tiny this year due to high water, but for kids it was amazing. Sand was nice and soft, area was clean, you get to see lots of trains go by and all within a two minute walk from free parking. Super new and clean public washrooms right behind the spray park and playground and there was an outdoor shower to rinse off after the lake. Take you kids!

Great park with playground, concession stand, family washrooms, splash park, sandy beach, live music on through the summer w/ beer gardens, volley ball nets and large fields. There's plenty of parking at the back and the boat launch at the front. Also walking distance to downtown Sicamous. Nearby the beach you can find boat rentals too. This place has it all. Located half way between Calgary and Vancouver.

After fueling up we stopped at this little beach to cool off. Lots of people where here watching the sunset. We swam. The water was beautiful and not to far out of the way if you were travelling. Great amenities for kids. Roped of swimming area and play structure. Not to far to walk. There were some steps from where we parked. Just lovely.

Reds Rentals and Marina offers an exceptional and enjoyable boating experience. The staff is highly knowledgeable and friendly, ensuring that customers feel welcome. Renting the big red pontoon boat was a great choice, as the service was prompt and efficient with no wasted time during the boat's inspection. The children had a blast going down the slide and exploring Tills Landing.

Rented a pontoon for the day because the rate was better than a half day. We spent the whole day motoring around Shuswap Lake, visiting the Sea Store and went for a few swims. It was the highlight of our 2 week trip! It’s never a bad day on the water, and our whole group had a fantastic day. The people running the marina and rentals are so friendly and helpful. The pontoon was in great shape and accommodated us beautifully, everyone was comfortable, we had amble room to lounge, and shade was provided by the sun deck. I would 10/10 recommend.

Mini Golf
Lukies Mini Golf, a recently acquired thematic miniature golf range called Frontier mini golf, offers 18 par 3 holes with various ball color options. Under the new ownership, the courses show signs of wear but are still enjoyable for golf enthusiasts. The establishment strictly enforces a rule against profanity due to its child-friendly nature. Additionally, there is a friendly dog with an injured paw that greets visitors at the booth.
Owners are amazing people, super funny. Course looks really good and holes are unique. Any 1 star reviews about this place are from people who are mad they can’t play golf.
Adam L — Google review
Waste of money. Not cute and Not well designed - Balls get stuck under many of the fixtures and they charge $2 for a missing ball. It’s not cute cuz the grass is black for whatever reason and there are no holes with water. What’s a mini golf without at least one whole with a bridge. No ramps, no steps, no choose which whole, no variance in heights. My kids got bored very quickly. Friendly staff though.

Hard to go wrong with mini golf, price for the 18 hole course is good. But the holes were all sort of the same, an obstacle to get the ball through, and a wide open centered hole. Could benefit from a little more variety, but still a fun activity.

We had such a great time at this family-run mini golf course in Sicamous! The course was fun, well-maintained, and perfect for all ages. What really stood out was the outstanding customer service—everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cared that we were enjoying ourselves. You can really feel the pride they take in their business. Also, you cannot miss the cutest puppy ever! Adel is seriously melting hearts 🐶❤️ Highly recommend for a fun, affordable outing with the family!

Frontier mini golf is an incredibly thematic mini golf range that has just come under new ownership. The courses are a bit worse for wear but everything was great from a golfing perspective. All the 18 holes are par 3 and they give you a choice of ball color. One of the stranger rules that makes sense when you consider the course is for children is there is "no profanity" and this is "strictly enforced". The woman who was working the booth at the time had a cute dog with one hurt paw who barked at us but was very friendly after being petted.

Twin Anchors Houseboat Vacations is a renowned choice for an adventure on Shuswap Lake, British Columbia. Since 1977, they have been offering top-notch houseboat experiences from April to October. The company is a pioneer in Western Canada's houseboating scene and even manufactures luxurious boats in town. With a wide variety of boat sizes available, guests can expect friendly staff who are ready to assist with supplies and provide clean facilities.
Our trip was the best. We were 5 families total of 16 people. Our kids were in the ages between 10-19. We had a blast! choose your friends wisely because you have to compromise and adjust for this trip to become enjoyable. The boat was amazing good size for us. 4 family would have been ideal because there’s only 4 washrooms and 4 bedrooms. But there is sofa bed and the dining table becomes a bed too but no privacy. Our only suggestion to twin anchors is to please upgrade the oven and hot tub . It was so frustrating when the writing on the side of the temperature knobs were worn out we didnt know what temperature it was, and to switch on the oven was tricky. Again didn’t t know if it was on or off. It’s just so outdated and worn out and not safe. The hot tub switches were again not finicky, it didn’t heat up when we wanted it to, we had to call the main office and get their help. They did help us so thankful for that but after a while it didn’t work. Those were the two things we had trouble with , but other than that we enjoyed a lot. The people at twin anchors helped with our luggage, drinking water and answered our questions.

My friends and I had an awesome time renting our house boat through twin anchors. All staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. Mackenzie who was out in the parking lot and the first face we were greeted with was so amazingly helpful and sweet! We ran into a storm on during our stay which caused some anxiety for our group but staff was very calm and knowledgeable and were able to get us through it. Got to see the northern lights during our trip too because we went early season (end of May)

We just had a lovely holiday last week in a Cruisecraft 2. There were six of us and we had four nights. The staff for the most part, were friendly, helpfull and organized. Especially as this is a very complicated and busy operation and it pretty much runs like clockwork. Only advice I have for future houseboaters is it is HOT sometimes in the houseboat. Buy rechargeable fans and bring them. It was 30 plus degrees every day. We bought fans but couldn't use them at night as you can't run the generator at night as the carbon monoxide alarm goes off. So you are using the battery which can't sustain fans running for very long. The bedrooms are very small. The boat we were on could technically sleep 15 but I would not recommend it. It was perfect for our group of six. I would say a maximum of eight guests. You are in very close quarters so make sure you like your co traveller's! We visited the Sunnybrae winery and had a game of golf at Mara Hills golf course. We hiked to Alba falls which was a lovely walk and well worth it. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and I would recommend it. We would love to do it again one day.

Great service, really well oiled operation. Boats are clean and interiors are beautiful. So many beaches to choose from you can absolutely get privacy if you want. Will definitely do it again

Great idea for a trip with your friends or family! The boats are great and provide a great platform for you and your friends / family. My group has booked twice already with twin anchors and they make the experience as painless as possible. There are also other toy rental options such as jet skis etc. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

Fantastic vacation our family feels like is worth the money everytime.... Floating out on the lake, stopping at beaches, cliff jumping, rope swinging and swimming....it's a fun family experience. We (4 families, 16 people) spent 3 nights on the lake in a Cruisecraft 3, which comfortably sleeps 18. Twin Anchors is a well run company, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have a great location as you don't have to worry about getting in and out of Sicamous. The boats have all the amenities needed for the number of guests. I would recommend when booking, don't have people sleep on the dinette or sofa. Just count the beds. I would definitely use Twin Anchors for our next houseboating vacation.

Always an amazing experience, so much relaxation with wonderful friends and family enjoying each others company. Playing games and swimming in the cool Shuswap mountain water and then relaxing in the amazing hot tubs while basking in the glorious sunshine gazing at breathtaking mountain views and brilliant blue skies.

wonderful experience for all the family. You do have to pay attention at the initial debrief, the staff are patient and helpful. Sitting in a Jacuzzi in the middle of the lake on top of a boat taking in nature- Fantastic. Rooms had plenty of space and kitchen are was more than big enough for all the family and visitors. Indigenous drawings on the shoreline rocks. a holiday the whole family will remember

Pub
Moose Mulligans Public Eatery is a laid-back spot located by the river, offering a wide range of pub-style dishes such as ribs, salads, burgers, and poutine. It's known for being the only restaurant in Sicamous with a waterfront patio, making it an ideal place for families and friends to enjoy delicious food and refreshing drinks. Visitors have praised the generous portions and freshness of the meals, as well as the quick and friendly service provided by the staff.
Amazing food and service. We will be coming back for sure. The starter came out withen minutes, and the mains shortly hereafter. The calamari was crispy, with great tzatziki! The bowls were hearty and fresh. 100% would recommend.

Perfect spot to grab lunch and unwind after cycling the Rail To Trail along Mara Lake! Moose Mulligans hits all the right notes for a casual dining experience in Sicamous. The patio is definitely the highlight here: fantastic views overlooking the lake that make for a relaxing atmosphere whether you're stopping for a quick snack or settling in for a proper meal. The staff are genuinely friendly and provide fast, efficient service that keeps things moving without feeling rushed. The pub food is solid and satisfying, exactly what you want after an active day outdoors. Nothing too fancy, but well-prepared classics in a typical pub setting that feels comfortable and welcoming. The cold beer selection pairs perfectly with the lakeside setting, and having the wine store right there is a nice convenience. Parking was a breeze, which is always appreciated when you're dealing with bikes and gear. Overall, it's a great local spot that delivers on atmosphere, service, and good honest food. Would definitely return on future visits to the area!

Large spot with patio options. Very low key chill vibe here. The food was pretty good and hit the spot. The pizza is very loaded and filling with layers of meat - worth sharing .

Fun, lakeside pub/eatery with beautiful views, great staff and overall excellent vibes. The service is very attentive, and very accommodating even for larger groups! The patio is a wonderful spot to hang out while basking in the afternoon sun. The drink menu is extensive and they serve some quality choices, such as the espresso martini (with real espresso), coconut margarita and the lavender soda. We were very pleased with the food, as the pizza was incredible and I really enjoyed the pork dry ribs with their house-made smoky BBQ sauce. A great destination to check out while in Sicamous or Shuswap Lake. Added bonus of being able to dock your boat along the two restaurant-owned piers right in front of the patio!

This place was recommended by the motel owner where I stayed. It’s located right on the lake at a marina, so waiting awhile for a table wasn’t all that bad. The hostess was really nice even though people coming in were pushy and complaining to her about wait time. The waitress was helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. I ordered Poutine, and it was delicious and filling. I’d certainly return.

This was an amazing meal! Definitely get the Mediterranean bowl it does not disappoint. The kids and hubby all had wonderful meals as well. Our service was incredible and the drinks and craft beer were great! Definitely stopping again next time we come through town.

We had such a great experience at this pub! There was 7 of us and our waitress Brooke, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. My dad was having troubles reading the drink menu and she read everything out to him with patience. Even after we had already paid the bill, she told us she’d still be around to make sure our waters were always full and she meant it. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare, and it really stood out. The food and service were both amazing.

Absolutely delish. Homemade soup. Pub atmosphere with an amazing menu. Our group had the tuna poke bowl, roasted red pepper soup, a Greek pita wrap and a burger and everything was so good!!! Bulldogs on special too. What a fun place on the water 👌

Licks n Splits Ice Cream is a popular ice cream parlor located on Main St in Sicamous. It specializes in creating real soft ice cream treats along with a selection of hard ice cream flavors. The establishment offers window service and has outdoor patio seating, making it family and dog-friendly. Visitors can enjoy delicious ice cream creations while taking in the vibrant atmosphere of Main St during the summer months.
During our trip back from Banff, we stayed in the charming town of Sicamous. Far from the hustle and bustle of downtown life, this small town offered a refreshing change of pace. Craving some ice cream, we discovered Licks n Splits and were greeted by a server with a big smile. The server patiently explained the various ingredients in their banana split, making us feel welcomed and informed. We decided to order one, and it was absolutely delicious—definitely a highlight of our trip! Licks n Splits is a seasonal gem, open from May to September, and features open seating. There’s plenty of parking available in the market area, making it a convenient stop. If you find yourself in Sicamous during the warmer months, don’t miss out on this delightful ice cream spot!

During our recent visit there was people everywhere. They were very busy but the line moved quickly. On this visit two of us ordered milkshakes while one wanted a waffle cone. Chocolate coconut was my choice today and it was amazing! Yesterday I tried after eight and it was delicious! Definitely recommend this place not only for the customer service but the many choices of ice cream that is sure to please!

The best ice cream place in Sicamous!! The soft serve ice cream is Incredibly smooth and all the flavours i have had are so yummy!! When it is super hot out the ice cream cone melts really has so be prepared to consume it quickly. I like getting mine in a cup because even if it melts it doesn't drip all over my hand. There is often a long line here but they are very efficient and take the orders and serve as quick as they can.

They specialize in soft serve with many flavors. Plus a unisex bathroom. Plenty of parking nearby also. Friendly staff.

You haven't tasted ice cream until you've tasted this ice-cream!! Made with real cream, this soft serve makes you wish there really was a separate stomach for desserts. There were a couple of sorbet options with lower sugar for those who need a yummy treat with less regret. For the rest of us, they have so many flavors to infuse into your ice-cream with a fun option to swirl your two favorite ones. Personally, I had an eggnog one and later enjoyed the pina colada and loved both. My husband couldn't get enough of their tiger while our girls enjoyed the cotton candy. I'd also like to point out that the service was quick and polite. We loved this location and have decided this is the place to go for a sweet frozen treat.

Went here multiple times over a recent vacation to the area - had the chocolate coconut soft serve both times = never remove this from your menu. It's one of the best things ever!
Nick D — Google review
Best soft serve ice cream I've had in a longtime. The whole family enjoyed. Service was great & ice cream was fairly priced. We would come here over any place in the area! I wish they were open earlier in the afternoon. We will definitely be back
